- 0:10What does the nanny do? OK, so we're done.
- 0:13Goodbye. You shut it off.
- 0:17Do not twist my words. Do not make me a victim,
- 0:20sweetie. Just look at the mountain.
- 0:22That's what you. Saw that day just the knife in
- 0:26the kidneys over all these years
- 0:31to love you. Q&A and Clip Time show Q&A and
- 0:50clip time show It's an episode
- 0:57specifically polygamy. Questions answered Were you so
- 1:01excited to be jumping into these
- 1:04and eagerly sitting at the edge of your seat waiting for their
- 1:06answers? I was, you know, I was like,
- 1:10what do we not know about them
- 1:12And what good questions could people ask?
- 1:15I was just blown away by them.
- 1:18Blown away by the questions. I can tell by your enthusiasm,
- 1:21darling. They were just so original and
- 1:23had never been asked before in
- 1:26Oh, of course. Well, we can't blame the people
- 1:29asking. Maybe they have amnesia.
- 1:30Or maybe they're just discovering the Browns.
- 1:33Or maybe they're make believe.
- 1:38to start off the episode. Before we get into the Q&A,
- 1:40though, they had to show Kody running from house to house.
- 1:43Now that they're at the Brown family cul-de-sac, he's running
- 1:48from house to house, gathering
- 1:51answer questions in Meri's family room, where they've
- 1:54pushed some couches together. And now the parents are sitting
- 1:57in the back. Well, yeah.
- 2:00And the little kids are gathered
- 2:03Whatever sitting around. Of course they have to show Kody
- 2:07running from house to house and pretend like this is
- 2:10organically happening. Like hey, you know what?
- 2:12We get questions all the time from our fans, so I just noticed
- 2:16we've probably not answered them
- 2:19Let's just run around the cul-de-sac ringing our cowbell
- 2:21and saying time to answer questions.
- 2:24Time to answer questions like it's dinner time You.
- 2:27Didn't believe this happened organically, darling.
- 2:29No. Oh.
- 2:31I thought it was just spur of the moment.
- 2:33We're going to answer some questions and then poof,
- 2:36production crew, poof. Lights, mics, camera action.
- 2:40I just thought they were all waiting for Kody's next thoughts
- 2:42and Kody's next suggestion. I love how they tried to like
- 2:45set it up all cute and whatever like that.
- 2:48And it's very obvious that it's a setup, but I, I can see what
- 2:53they were trying to do. I get the attempt, you know.
- 2:57Yeah, having the entire crew waiting with the mixing board
- 3:00and the microphones didn't really help the spur the moment
- 3:03vibes, but you know. And the fact that we didn't see
- 3:05them have to shove those couches
- 3:07They just walked into Meri's and
- 3:10Yeah, it was beautiful. Meri's just like, oh, I think I
- 3:13heard Kody saying something about questions.
- 3:15No one's here though, because,
- 3:18But I'll just push the couch as well.
- 3:19See, she could do that. Maybe it was from their big last
- 3:22family therapy session that they've been having.
- 3:25They were already pushed together because they talk so
- 3:28much, don't they? Oh yes, they talk so much and
- 3:30you can tell from this episode
- 3:34with each other, exposing themselves inside and out to
- 3:37each other. No new revelations whatsoever
- 3:40from these thought. Full question.
- 3:42Right, you guys are going to learn so much of this episode,
- 3:44so buckle up. Buckle up, bitches.
- 3:47Question #1 Kimber, how about we
- 3:51these questions and you read us question number one for our
- 3:54listeners at home. Sounds so wonderful and organic,
- 3:57just like this Q&A, yes. Exactly.
- 4:00We're pulling a Kody Brown here.
- 4:01Oh. My gosh.
- 4:03Our first question comes from Danielle.
- 4:05Which mom is the most strict and which mom is the easiest?
- 4:11We start with an answer from Isabel, she says Mine, Christine
- 4:22And Hunter says I think it depends on the situation.
- 4:27Yeah, probably. They show us clips of different
- 4:32situations, as Hunter says, where you know each mom is
- 4:37having to play a different role and throwbacks to times where
- 4:40the kids have fucked up and the parents have to step in.
- 4:44Yeah, those fuck up children. One of them was Leon in the
- 4:48kitchen at Meri's in the morning, where Meri was telling
- 4:51them that they couldn't use the minivan.
- 4:53Leon was, you know, ever understanding and completely
- 4:56like, oh, I get it, Mom, I get it.
- 4:59And then when prompted for the easiest part of the question,
- 5:02Hunter says Janelle and the others agree because, duh, like,
- 5:07You don't need to be a doctor to
- 5:10Kody says to Aspen, why don't you answer?
- 5:14You haven't answered anything yet, even though this is the
- 5:16first question supposedly that's
- 5:19Q&A, so natural and. Aspen says.
- 5:22I haven't had anyone be strict
- 5:27I thought that was kind of funny.
- 5:28That's something I would have said.
- 5:29It was very cute. And then it's funny because I
- 5:31think even Kody kind of acquiesces or whatever is like,
- 5:33yeah, you have been actually pretty perfect so.
- 5:36Yeah, and then the kids kind of laugh and go, well, that's just
- 5:39because Christina is so easy on you guys.
- 5:41Right, right. And Meri is so orange, seeing
- 5:50her sitting next to all of the
- 5:54What intarnation is going on? I haven't noticed it.
- 6:00We used to point it out all the time at Orange she was and how
- 6:04she would try to culturally appropriate and she's brought it
- 6:10back. Oh God.
- 6:11Don't tell me you didn't know this Q&A was coming, bitch
- 6:14'cause you went and got a EE spray tan just for this Q&A.
- 6:18I'm thinking she must have bought that washer and dryer,
- 6:19got that pulled into the house
- 6:21moved in. So now she's got more money to
- 6:24spend. You know, she, I don't know if
- 6:25she bought curtains or blinds.
- 6:28items figured out. So now she's got the budget to
- 6:30go back to her spray tan after
- 6:33So she's doing it all. Yeah, she probably even has one
- 6:38of those Sally Hansen spray guns
- 6:43on top of the spray tan she's gotten in the salon.
- 6:46Like she is like tripling up on that spray tan honey.
- 6:49Yeah, she looks like a chicken
- 6:52She does. Our second question comes to us
- 6:55from Darla. And Darla asks, do your kids
- 6:58want more brothers and sisters
- 7:02Brianna, who is Robyn's youngest
- 7:05kids and she wants Meri to have more kids.
- 7:08And then Aurora, her older sister, says Robyn should have
- 7:11one more and Meri should have three more.
- 7:14Just a little bit of pressure from the children to be
- 7:17impregnated. And the best and only honest
- 7:20answer here comes from Peyton.
- 7:2517 is enough to deal with. And Hunter agrees.
- 7:30Absolutely. And Kody has to put a little
- 7:32pretty bow on this question by
- 7:36to decide. I get to have as many kids as I
- 7:38want. It's giving like neen or neen or
- 7:40Boo Boo rhymes. But like, are you the dad here?
- 7:44Are you the adult in this room?
- 7:46Because that was strong schoolyard crap like.
- 7:48It was the way he said is I get to have as many kids as I want.
- 7:53Sticks his tongue out at his own
- 7:55fucking children. Not the tongue.
- 7:57Oh God. He might as well have.
- 7:59It was really weird the way he
- 8:02threatened in that moment. Right.
- 8:04Like, oh, my children. Yeah, totally.
- 8:06Oh. My kids telling me how many kids
- 8:08I can have. Absolutely not.
- 8:11I won't. Have it.
- 8:11I won't have it. Not in this house.
- 8:14Not in Meri's house. Question #3 comes from Meri Ann.
- 8:20Who makes the best foods and what is your favorite?
- 8:24I think we know where this one's
- 8:28No, just kidding. No one would ever say.
- 8:32Robyn eggs. No one would ever say Robyn.
- 8:35Ever. Oh my God.
- 8:38Peyton says my mom Christine her
- 8:42Gwendolyn says my mom Christine shepherd's pie.
- 8:46And then Christine says so who
- 8:49Because she can't just take the cute compliments from her
- 8:52children. She has to be self deprecating
- 8:54and. She's going to keep sweet, you
- 8:57know? And Isabelle raised her hand
- 9:00like they were in school. She's like me.
- 9:03It's so. Kody gestures at her and she
- 9:06says Christine, my mom. Yep.
- 9:11And Christine laughs about being
- 9:14You know? Kody draws.
- 9:14Good or bad? Comparison to Babe Ruth hitting
- 9:17the home run or striking out. Which is funny about Babe Ruth,
- 9:21I didn't know that until recently.
- 9:23He either hit home runs or struck out notoriously.
- 9:27I love what Christine does here.
- 9:29Christine says it's OK, I've got your back and gives her a hug.
- 9:37the worst food, the kids kind of, like, clam up, like nobody
- 9:43called on and kind of calls out her mom, Christine, after
- 9:46getting the compliments, it's just kind of cute that Christine
- 9:51behind. And it's a sweet moment.
- 9:53It's definitely something that a mom would do, and she does.
- 9:57Affirming her daughter's choice to say she's the worst.
- 10:01It was cute. Yeah.
- 10:03Our next question comes to us from Elliot, and Elliot asks who
- 10:12sisters, how do you decide what to watch?
- 10:14Gwendolyn chimes in with the first answer, saying.
- 10:17At my house, we all fight over it.
- 10:19Yeah, nobody gets to control it 'cause we're all fighting over
- 10:29response of like, no, no, no, no, no, no, which I don't know
- 10:34Christine's house. Just because she needs to talk,
- 10:36that's. All MC Kelty hasn't really been
- 10:38able to shine yet in this organic Q&A.
- 10:41So now that we're at question #4 it's her chance and she's shut
- 10:47And Kody has to assert himself and say what's my rule?
- 10:51And all the kids look around like I don't know what the
- 10:54fuck's dad's rule? We don't know.
- 10:56He's never fucking hear. He's never hear.
- 10:57We don't know. We don't know your rule.
- 11:00Dad. Are you our father?
- 11:02Yeah, it's so weird he has to insert himself and act like the
- 11:07disciplinarian. Well, what's my rule, children?
- 11:09What does Daddy say?
- 11:10Insert crickets because no one
- 11:15scissors you. Can't decide what's the rule of
- 11:18rock paper? Scissors.
- 11:20So annoying. It's like so juvenile too.
- 11:23Can you imagine your kids fighting and being like, I don't
- 11:26know, rock, paper, scissors it, man.
- 11:28Rock, paper, scissors it man. It works every time.
- 11:31Do it. Turns out it doesn't work every
- 11:33time, which he later addresses
- 11:37funny. OK, Kody.
- 11:40Father of the year, father of the decade, father of the
- 11:42Millennium. And then the younger children
- 11:46are asked to leave the room because we're going to spice
- 11:48things up. We're going to get to the PG
- 11:50version of our questions. So younger children, please be
- 11:53dismissed. Go play rock paper scissors in
- 11:55the street. Now we've got questions for the
- 11:58teens of the family. Do we all know who the teens are
- 12:03of this family? Do I need to rattle them off for
- 12:06you? Kimber, who was here for this
- 12:08because it was so organic that
- 12:12We have Leon, we have Aspen, we have Mekelty, we have Hunter,
- 12:20we have Maddie. Maddie wasn't there.
- 12:24Oh no, we don't have Maddie. You're right.
- 12:26She wasn't there, just the ghost
- 12:30She's off getting high with her friends.
- 12:32Probably no, you're right because Kody does a pretend
- 12:35answer for her at one point. Yeah, Maddie's not there, and I
- 12:38don't remember if Paden stuck around for the teens.
- 12:40I think that Paden didn't stick around.
- 12:42Yes, he did. He did, Paden.
- 12:44OK, so I can't just rattle it off like I'm all knowing this
- 12:47time I'm so sorry. Can't.
- 12:49Bring you in your list. Fudged it up.
- 12:51Yeah, fudged it up. Question #5 comes from Tabitha.
- 12:58What are your personal beliefs
- 13:01How much skin is too much? Do the teens feel the parents
- 13:05are too strict? So of course they have to show
- 13:08Mckelty while this question's being read by Kody.
- 13:11They show her, and she glances
- 13:14And I thought, oh honey, you've definitely never looked worse.
- 13:18We all knew who was going to take the bait on this one.
- 13:24So of course, when the question wraps with are the parents too
- 13:26strict, Mckelty has to say definitely yes, of course.
- 13:31I feel like I'm a teenager so I should explore and wear
- 13:35whatever I want. And Kody literally says EW
- 13:39really? To his daughter's answer.
- 13:43Well, Christine says I'm crying behind you.
- 13:47What? The other kids reference how
- 13:50Mckelty walks around the house
- 13:54And a tank top. Booty shorts and a tank top,
- 13:57Yeah. That's slutty little Mckelty.
- 14:00Well, and before Mckelty answers, they show this clip of
- 14:04Meri doing shit in the kitchen
- 14:06And it's a notorious clip. Yeah.
- 14:08Meri being like, go put on something else, Mckelty.
- 14:10I can see too much of your body.
- 14:12And Mckelty saying something and they're going put on something
- 14:17those times where we saw like a collarbone or something, and it
- 14:20was way too scandalous. They bring this clip up over and
- 14:25because she fills out her top in a different way than a skinny
- 14:28person who probably wouldn't have been told that, I'm
- 14:31assuming. Yeah, the way that the body fits
- 14:37And Kody says that he's tired of
- 14:41in booty shorts and says if he sees his daughter's cleavage
- 14:46it's just degrading and nobody else should see it either.
- 14:50That's the complete wrong use of
- 14:55Did he mean to say it's disrespectful?
- 14:59It's just degrading if I see my daughter's cleavage.
- 15:04Yeah, I I mean, it's degrading
- 15:07having impure thoughts about them.
- 15:09Yeah, that's freaking weird, man.
- 15:11I mean, I think it was yes, as a
- 15:17to him. I think it's a little give, a
- 15:19little tell. I don't.
- 15:21It is. It's creepy with the wording
- 15:24that they use in this family. I'm like, you either don't know
- 15:28what words mean or you really are using them and in such a
- 15:32weird way because of your mind
- 15:37Oh yeah. Yeah, and of course, Mckelty
- 15:39says, well, I'm not actually walking around in booty shorts.
- 15:41And there's blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 15:42And then the question is posed
- 15:46he feel if there was a girl that
- 15:48And what if she was dressed all scandalously and blah blah blah
- 15:51blah blah. What if she was wearing booty
- 15:53shorts? Yeah, he said.
- 15:55Well, if it looks good, it looks
- 15:58And was it Robyn that asked about the butt hanging out?
- 16:00Yeah, Robyn said The booty shorts again.
- 16:03Like pose that to him and. Yeah, like what if there was
- 16:06butt hanging out of the bottom
- 16:08And Hunter is just being so mature here, just like in the
- 16:10last episode when he was talking
- 16:13And if you're in love and in a
- 16:18should be OK just like this. He's like, if it looks good, it
- 16:21looks good. It's like, why are we ragging on
- 16:24this stuff with our kids? And then you get Hunter, who's
- 16:28being completely sensible. And so I think that Janelle
- 16:33behind the scenes, the way she's
- 16:37good job, Janelle. And she's the only one that kind
- 16:42of just keeps a little quiet during this question, too.
- 16:45Like, do we really need to be ragging on this with the girls
- 16:50again? She probably, in her way,
- 16:54understands it as like a person living in a bigger body that
- 16:58sometimes clothes just fit differently on different women.
- 17:02So maybe that's why. Yeah, that could be a part of
- 17:05it. Yeah.
- 17:07And just being more rational and
- 17:12I imagine she has the same talking points, but different
- 17:18enforcement and different things
- 17:20talking points. Yeah, I'm imagining Maddie
- 17:23probably gets the most lenience about apparel look, vibes with
- 17:28the aesthetics, you know? Maddie is well endowed and
- 17:32probably gets a lot of guff, maybe from the other parents
- 17:36too. So if Janelle sees that
- 17:37happening to her daughter, she's
- 17:40with other girls in the family.
- 17:42I can see that. So I think that Janelle probably
- 17:47And Hunter in these last two episodes has really shown with
- 17:57Q&A. It looks a little different than
- 18:02actual Mohawk. But I had to laugh because the
- 18:08adults had shoes, the kids didn't.
- 18:10And he's sitting on the floor with his feet, like straight
- 18:12out, and it's just his like big old gym socks.
- 18:15Yes, such a jock. Like such a jock.
- 18:18Such a jock. Our next question comes to us
- 18:23from Ernesto and Ernesto queries.
- 18:24The kids were so upset when you guys moved to Las Vegas.
- 18:28How do they feel about it now? Are they happy or do they still
- 18:33want to go back? Janelle starts talking about
- 18:37Payden because Payden had such a reaction when they left Lehigh.
- 18:42She says, Payden, when we were
- 18:44moving, you broke my heart. And then they cut to the scene
- 18:49of Kody telling the family, guess what?
- 18:51We're moving in three days and
- 18:54fucking douchebag. And Peyton being clearly upset
- 18:57next to him and like crying, being like, what do you mean?
- 19:00Like I'm uprooting my life and
- 19:03And it's like, oh I hate when they flashback to the scene.
- 19:06It is heartbreaking. It's an honest reaction that any
- 19:09child would have if you spring
- 19:14they're kind of like, oh, trying
- 19:18freaking weird way of doing things.
- 19:20And then we cut back to now and Peyton says, I'm not glad we
- 19:26moved, but yeah, it's better here.
- 19:31And it just kind of feels like
- 19:34parents. Kind of feels a little half
- 19:38hearted ish. Sure.
- 19:39Yeah, Hunter agrees, at least with the second part of that
- 19:42statement, that it's better here.
- 19:43And Leon says I'm so grateful.
- 19:48even though Leon was one of the more upset children, obviously
- 19:52back in the day, crying. I don't need to leave.
- 19:55I know I'm not an adult, but I
- 19:59Keep the house for me. Literally keep the house for me.
- 20:04Oh Leon. I feel like the only reason that
- 20:07Leon is saying this is because
- 20:11Oh yeah, things have improved for Leon.
- 20:15Interesting. Yeah.
- 20:16I feel like it's kind of more of
- 20:20I'm in this nice big house now.
- 20:22So sure, I'm, I'm grateful. I'm so grateful for the move.
- 20:25OK, now that I'm going to the college I want and I live in a
- 20:31big home. Things are going my way again.
- 20:38Question 7 comes from Jeff. Jeff asks.
- 20:43I'd like to ask the teenagers what's the most annoying thing
- 20:51I hate it when my parents act like little kids in public and
- 21:08like they're acting like little kids and it's not even in
- 21:12public. Yeah, it's an attempt to make
- 21:14them look silly, but it's lame. It is very lame.
- 21:18Have good footage. I mean they are going to use the
- 21:23That's embarrassing. But they use it for another
- 21:25question so they probably just don't have good footage to pick.
- 21:30more footage, and that's just something lazy that one of the
- 21:33editors was like, oh, I can think of this clip, so they just
- 21:36pulled it, but they didn't actually look through footage to
- 21:38find an embarrassing, interesting thing in public.
- 21:41Kody tells us that Maddie would say he tries to dress to
- 21:44hipster, to which Leon, you know, of course corrects him.
- 21:48You don't dress like a hipster, you dress like a girl.
- 21:51Your pants are very tight. And then we get a jewel even
- 21:57more precious than Robyn's. Purity.
- 21:59Purity from Janelle. Amazing.
- 22:03Janelle does this like huge full
- 22:08Yes, throws her head back with
- 22:12which I always love seeing from Janelle.
- 22:14It kind of reminds me of an Ursula thing she does.
- 22:17She doesn't do that. And she goes.
- 22:22We like his pants tight. We replayed this like 3 or 4
- 22:29times because I was chuckle butting over this.
- 22:32This was a wonderful moment from
- 22:34I love when she gets enthusiastic, especially when
- 22:37she's laughing and it's so funny.
- 22:38And then to slide into this, we like his pants tight.
- 22:42It's like girl, all right. She says pants like Arnold
- 22:47Schwarzenegger. We like his pants tight.
- 22:51We like it when his little butt cheeks go like these and these
- 22:55and squeeze like these. Oh God, such enthusiasm about
- 22:59Kody's pants and how tight they are.
- 23:02God. All of the talk about Kody's
- 23:05tight buns. Buns of steel.
- 23:07He says that he has buns of steel and Leon says we see those
- 23:11buns and Hunter goes this question's over.
- 23:16And it's like, yes. And the teens take this as their
- 23:20cue. 2 Exit stage left. Very organic, just like all of
- 23:24this whole episode is. They just are like, we're done,
- 23:27we're out. And that was that.
- 23:29So now we have only the parents on these pushed together
- 23:32couches in Meri's living room.
- 23:35that they do all fit on one couch.
- 23:37And I think Meri might be in a
- 23:40But there's still another couch pushed up, as if there are more
- 23:43people there and they are not.
- 23:46They just didn't take the extra seating away when the teenagers
- 23:50left. Yeah.
- 23:51So it just looks more empty and more vacant, just like my soul.
- 23:56Elaine opposes the first question to the adults.
- 23:59If Kody lived alone, what kind
- 24:03And Christine says, clean and meticulous.
- 24:07And then Robyn, of course, asks some questions like, oh,
- 24:09really? Oh, Oh my gosh.
- 24:11And implying that Kody is a mess at her house and kind of
- 24:16questions this. And Christine says, well, that's
- 24:23here. Well, Christina's giving this
- 24:25look of like, well, there's a difference between you and I,
- 24:29There's a difference between our
- 24:31There's a difference between the
- 24:36something. And my take away was that Kody
- 24:39is comfortable enough with Robyn
- 24:44opinion, where at Christine's he
- 24:50maybe not as relaxed. I also feel like just in
- 24:53comparison, Christine is a slob.
- 24:56Her house is filthy all the time.
- 24:59I'm sure a normal person probably is clean to her.
- 25:02So I don't know. They're just, there was
- 25:04something under here, there was something bubbling under.
- 25:06There, Yeah. There's a weird back and forth
- 25:18different he is at each other's home.
- 25:21Had that vibe. Because yeah, Christine goes
- 25:24very clean and have your things meticulous as to how it would
- 25:28be. And then Robyn looks at her and
- 25:31goes, you think he's clean? And Christine says, does he make
- 25:44and gives this like sideways look to her.
- 25:48How can he be that different for each of us?
- 25:53She's realizing that's very different.
- 25:56Yeah, there's something going on there, some processing.
- 25:59Yeah. And I for some reason just
- 26:01picked up that it was a little bit more about them
- 26:05specifically, maybe not every wife's house, right?
- 26:08I mean what you're saying, but a little more micro that it's
- 26:12like, oh, he's like this at your house, but not my house.
- 26:16And I don't know, some sort of juxtaposing, comparing wheels
- 26:20turning and in a way that makes me think that Christine's not
- 26:26happy about these answers and the answer that Robyn gave.
- 26:31It makes it feel to me like she's realizing that Kody's more
- 26:40like settled in there versus living out of a suitcase.
- 26:44Each time he is at her house, he has his things.
- 26:48It's almost like if you go to a hotel, you unpack and you put
- 26:52your things on the sink in like a certain order because you're
- 27:00comfortable? Why unpack my suitcase?
- 27:01And so to me, it comes across that way, like he doesn't get
- 27:05comfortable when he goes to visit her and maybe she's
- 27:08catching on to that. I don't know.
- 27:10I could be reading into it too much.
- 27:11No, I think that that's true, Janelle says.
- 27:15He would be very cosmopolitan, nice houses, nice clothes, nice
- 27:21cars, affluent and lots of women.
- 27:25Which I mean, I think I kind of agree with Janelle because he's
- 27:35self-centered and. I don't know, a little weird.
- 27:39It's a little weird to say cars in plural, houses in plural.
- 27:43Yeah, yeah. Implying that he'd be super
- 27:45wealthy or something. He'd have so much more money if
- 27:47he didn't have to pay for all these kids that he just had to
- 27:56So yeah, there's that. He even says I'd have I'd have
- 28:04over men. And Christine gives him this
- 28:07look like this side eye, like if looks could kill.
- 28:11And then Kody has to try to like recover from this.
- 28:14And I think he realizes that that was not the right thing to
- 28:18say. So he tries to recover and he
- 28:20says it was a good question, Alina, but I can't imagine
- 28:25myself single. So like, he's backtracking.
- 28:30Question 9 comes from Tina. And Tina says, how do your wives
- 28:46Yeah. So I'm so curious what their
- 28:49answers are going to be. Oh, yes.
- 28:51Christine says you have to go inward.
- 28:54I don't compete with you ladies, because I love myself.
- 28:59She kind of says Once you're secure in yourself and you love
- 29:03yourself, then the insecurities go away.
- 29:05And Janelle says that she agrees with her that being more secure
- 29:09with herself and embracing her talents and individuality has
- 29:13LED her to be less bothered by jealousy.
- 29:17And of course, because Kody is a St. among sinners, he asks if
- 29:23there's anything he can do to help with their jealousy.
- 29:26Oh, what a giver that Kody the giver.
- 29:29And Christine points out that she has an issue that when he
- 29:34gets mad about her being jealous that it becomes difficult for
- 29:37her. I've never been jealous of my
- 29:40husband's other spouses, so I don't know, it's weird.
- 29:43Well. How can you get mad at a normal
- 29:46human emotion in a situation like this where this is a normal
- 30:08should just keep sweet about it, you know?
- 30:09Yeah, keep it to yourself. Keep sweet about it.
- 30:12This is our life. Like, what do you mean?
- 30:14I don't want to be around you when you're being like this.
- 30:16And she makes a valid point. Don't get mad at me because that
- 30:24emotion. Let me have this emotion.
- 30:27And Meri says that reassurances go miles.
- 30:30So when he reassures them all, it just goes miles with her.
- 30:35Miles for Meri. And then two questions down,
- 30:38like we bring up a huge jealousy moment from her again.
- 30:41So it's like, yeah, OK, Meri, OK.
- 30:43OK, Meri. The next question is posed by
- 30:50Amy, and Amy asks is Kody ever going to get a haircut?
- 30:55Kody in his luscious lock. Yeah.
- 30:59And Christine volunteers. Well, you know, Kody, it's up to
- 31:04As she shakes her head no while she's saying the statement.
- 31:08As if it's really clearance? No, but it's up to you.
- 31:13But please don't. And Robyn has to open her fat
- 31:16mouth and piss me off. And she goes, he could shave it
- 31:21because he's just got such a nice face that he could shave
- 31:24his head and he would look good, this beautiful face.
- 31:28And it's like, you fucking liar, just a few episodes ago when we
- 31:35had our lovely hairdresser, Kennedy Kennedy.
- 31:38Oh, and he came home and talked about how he was joking about
- 31:43shaving it. She goes to Meri and says you
- 31:46let him go alone to the hairdresser.
- 31:48Robyn's just always got to try to say whatever is going to make
- 31:55Kiss ass Well, and then we get a lovely insertion here by
- 31:59production of a graphic, a still of Kody with his long hair where
- 32:14And you noted that. It looks exactly like Logan.
- 32:20Like Logan? And how Kody was so disturbed by
- 32:27Yeah, Christine talks about how he just looks so different now
- 32:36age. Yes, yes.
- 32:39Fine, fine wine. What do you know about wine,
- 32:44Christine? What do you know about wine?
- 32:46Kody's like a Boone's farm or whatever.
- 32:48Like give me a fucking break. Like the Blue Boone's farm too.
- 32:52Like the weird colored.
- 32:53Wine. No, that's not right.
- 32:57That is funny. Christine, what do you know
- 33:00about wine? Or men yet for in this instance,
- 33:03because she's only ever been with Kody.
- 33:06So what do you know about fine
- 33:10Come on, I don't. He's right, he's right.
- 33:14Play a fine 10 God Oh. Boy.
- 33:20It's very important for this next question that you get the
- 33:22name submitted with the question
- 33:25Please pressure is on. Question 11 is from Sonia Frumpa
- 33:32OH. Sonia Frumpa, we love you.
- 33:36Sonia Frumpa. Sonia Frumpa.
- 33:38Oh my God. No, no, no.
- 33:40This is Sonia from PA. I'm assuming it's a tweet and
- 33:44that they are, you know, saying as a question sent in and Meri
- 33:47does correct him. It's Sonia from PA and I'm like
- 33:50thank you Meri, because at first
- 33:53to say anything about this, but thank God she did.
- 33:55Sonia Frumpa wants to know. Sonia Frumpa.
- 33:59We love you, Sonia Frumpa. What do you do when your
- 34:03children have events on the same
- 34:07different location? How do you choose which event to
- 34:10go to? This is where we get another
- 34:12return of Rock Paper, Scissors
- 34:18that it is too complicated for
- 34:22doesn't doesn't solve every problem.
- 34:25I used to think that rock paper scissors solved everything, but
- 34:30it doesn't. The mom goes to the event of
- 34:33course, and I try to make it to half and half.
- 34:37Half and half. Does he roll the dice?
- 34:41Does he flip a coin? I want to hear more of his game
- 34:44metaphors here. I I not only know if it's a
- 34:46game, whatever you call these things where you make a choice.
- 34:49Oh yeah. So he makes his selections half
- 34:52and half. I think that he meant he makes
- 34:56it to half of one event and half
- 34:59Oh, I thought he meant he picks,
- 35:03Oh, interesting. I thought he meant that he would
- 35:06go to the first half of 1 of the
- 35:09of the other. See, I thought he was lying
- 35:11through his nasty teeth and saying I go to half and half and
- 35:15it's like you don't go to most.
- 35:17Well, he's probably bullshit in US and so it doesn't matter what
- 35:23either. Right, it's complete bullshirt.
- 35:26Bullshirt Kody.
- 35:28But of course the mom goes to the event like.
- 35:32Obligatory yes. Yeah.
- 35:34I mean happily of. Course.
- 35:35Happily, happily. But they do say in the previous
- 35:40episodes when there is a child's
- 35:44one of the kids concerts or something that if the other moms
- 35:48are free and Kody can't make it to the event because of another
- 35:51child's, the other mothers will like gather and rally behind
- 35:55the event that Kody can't be at.
- 35:58So we've been given this answer previously and I thought that
- 36:02was a good option. Got your extra mom's there to
- 36:04give you sport when your dad can't be there.
- 36:07But they can't say that again. And before they went public, it
- 36:10would have been interesting because it's like, oh, that's my
- 36:16recently they've been able to be public.
- 36:17But before that I wonder if the moms would sit by each other and
- 36:24I don't really know. That's why I don't believe any
- 36:29I don't believe any of it because we get different answers
- 36:36change. You do things differently
- 36:37throughout the years, but they feed us a bunch of bull shirt.
- 36:45from, so I'm going to pretend it's from me.
- 36:47Question 12 was sent in by me, Chris Co, host of my sister
- 36:52wife's podcast, and I sent in what was the most embarrassing
- 36:59Oh, good question Chris. Thank you.
- 37:01Thank you. Robyn says I know exactly.
- 37:05It's when I was having Solomon and she references the cameraman
- 37:14was showing. And I'm like, well, you missed
- 37:19little camera. Literally taking pictures of
- 37:21your bits. Stepdaddy Uncle Paul was there
- 37:31It was pretty awkward. Oh yeah, I don't even.
- 37:34This family is so weird. It is really, really intense to
- 37:38have someone filming your birth.
- 37:40What Kody says here though, yeah, just shut the fuck up, he
- 37:43says. I'm sorry you felt so
- 37:46vulnerable. I was pretty impressed, Like
- 37:49impressed with you. Sorry you felt vulnerable.
- 37:53You think her closlopus was out?
- 37:56She wouldn't feel vulnerable. She was a real lady, being so
- 38:01vulnerable. Oh my gosh, I almost let him off
- 38:09Got to give it to her, got to give it to that poor cameraman.
- 38:11I don't know who you got to give
- 38:13it to. Of course, you offered to have
- 38:17your baby on TVI don't know why this is coming up right now.
- 38:21Like, to me, this would not be
- 38:25moment because that's a huge decision to make.
- 38:28Like you, in my mind, I'd have
- 38:32this almost like my whole pregnancy, like, am I or am I
- 38:35not going to do this? So for her to be embarrassed by
- 38:39that, now, in hindsight, it's like we saw it all.
- 38:43We didn't. She's so dumb.
- 38:45But she is so dumb. There are many people who would
- 38:49opt to not give birth on film,
- 38:53reasonable choice. So for her to have made this
- 38:56dramatic decision and then for
- 38:59or awkward moment, it's like, I don't know, girl, I can think
- 39:01of several others on this show
- 39:04embarrassing and awkward, and this is what you're picking?
- 39:08OK, girl. That's cuz she just doesn't
- 39:10think that anything else she does is wrong, right?
- 39:13So this is the moment she had to
- 39:15It's like every time that you've
- 39:18an interior shot of your home, it is literally embarrassing
- 39:20and humiliating for you, but you
- 39:23You don't even know. A couple episodes ago, when
- 39:26you're throwing yourself down on
- 39:30store, laughing your ass off like you're high about caramels.
- 39:36Oh God, it's so funny. That's more embarrassing.
- 39:43Store Honey, the unfortunate store.
- 39:45Is it still open? That poor, unfortunate store.
- 39:51What if Janelle? Janelle's like I'm a frequent
- 39:53visitor to that store. Oh my goodness.
- 39:56Robyn, you've embarrassed yourself plenty.
- 39:58That was definitely not your most embarrassing.
- 40:00It probably was the one you should be the most shamed for.
- 40:03Just kidding. Maybe when you thought Wyoming
- 40:06was spelt with AY, maybe that was a little more embarrassing.
- 40:09Christine tries to not answer the question.
- 40:12Yeah, Christine kind of avoids
- 40:17and then you see it again and it
- 40:21and again, and you think that you've moved on from something.
- 40:26And then it gets aired again. And Kody like pushes her.
- 40:31Give an answer. Christian give an answer, just
- 40:33give us an answer. And she obviously doesn't want
- 40:37to give an answer because she doesn't want to relive things
- 40:40that have been embarrassing or
- 40:44let it go Kody. But he can't.
- 40:46So she comes out and says that
- 40:50her was when she walked off set during the infamous wedding
- 40:57dress debacle. Debacle from Season 1 when Kody
- 41:02confesses that he picked Robyn's
- 41:07Christine was very upset and she
- 41:09And we learned from her book later that they took three or
- 41:13four days before returning to set.
- 41:16So yeah, that was obviously very
- 41:20doesn't think it was a good look, even worse than Robyn's
- 41:23dress. But I don't even think she
- 41:24should be embarrassed for that.
- 41:26It was an honest reaction to something that they went and did
- 41:32shopping with her sister wives for the dress.
- 41:34And I'd have been pissed too. But she's obviously been shamed
- 41:38enough by Kody that she thinks she should be embarrassed by
- 41:42this. Agreed.
- 41:42I'm thinking if if it wasn't Kody, it's internalized shame.
- 41:51Like I was not embarrassed for
- 41:54her. I thought it totally made sense.
- 41:56I would have been upset too. Yeah, I don't know.
- 41:58Any of the answers that they give, because we're going to,
- 42:01you know, get to the rest of them here, but any of the
- 42:03answers that the wives give are things that they really
- 42:06shouldn't be embarrassed for. Totally.
- 42:08We get Janelle's answer next, and Janelle says that getting on
- 42:11the scale in front of the whole world was embarrassing for her,
- 42:15and she'd never even told Kody
- 42:19I can see what having your actual number put on TV like.
- 42:23When I've been my biggest, I wouldn't have loved that number
- 42:26to be on TV. I probably would have been
- 42:27embarrassed, but because we know
- 42:32efforts she's made since then,
- 42:36like, as a compassionate person,
- 42:38shouldn't be embarrassed. Yeah, but I get it.
- 42:40Like I would be embarrassed. But going back to 2013 was like
- 42:43The Biggest Loser still on TV and all of these shows that
- 42:46shamed people and we're like doing weigh insurance and making
- 42:49them feel bad about their weight.
- 42:51So I can see during this time how this would be consider it
- 42:55embarrassing or shameful to, you
- 43:01So kind of thinking of like the time that this aired and was
- 43:04filmed. I can understand why she felt
- 43:06that way Nowadays, like in hindsight, honey, you have
- 43:09nothing to be embarrassed about and we've seen how hard you've
- 43:12worked. But they do show a clip of the
- 43:14initial weigh in that they have with trainer Bill and him
- 43:20shaming her and saying if you continue on this unhealthy path.
- 43:25And in hindsight, that clip is
- 43:31The way he's speaking to her and
- 43:34a little harsh. Yeah.
- 43:36So. It goes with the vibe of some
- 43:39like that approach from certain people, you know, I, I don't
- 43:42know, I feel like it could motivate me.
- 43:45So I don't know. It's it's a Gray area, but I
- 43:49think that she shouldn't be embarrassed, but I understand.
- 43:53Yeah. Oh, and Meri references her time
- 43:56at Big Bear with the family when
- 44:01kids. I'm like, Oh my God.
- 44:03They answer that scene of her telling the kids that they're
- 44:06all siblings whether they like it or not and you better start
- 44:15I was pro Meri the entire time. So I just hate that it's ever
- 44:20teed up that it's bad, and Robyn says for me, that was a proud
- 44:24moment. Like it wasn't an embarrassing
- 44:27I was proud of you for that.
- 44:29And Meri does say that she didn't realize that the cameras
- 44:33were coming because the cameras had been around the corner and
- 44:36she didn't know they were still filming.
- 44:38So then when they heard her like
- 44:41and reprimanding them, they came
- 44:43cameras, which we obviously see.
- 44:45And so she was embarrassed that that was caught on camera.
- 44:49The funniest thing about this to me is that she says Big Bear
- 44:54getting after the kids and she stares off like she's a war vet
- 44:58thinking back on a horrible like a memory.
- 45:01Big Bear. Oh gosh.
- 45:03The kids, yeah. Getting after the kids is quite
- 45:05a statement. It's funny because even that's
- 45:11were like this is unacceptable. We've heard now that this was a
- 45:16big moment between her and Christine and Janelle where they
- 45:34understand it. Back when we watched that
- 45:37episode, I remember being like, no, she should be saying
- 45:40something to them. They're treating Robyn's kids
- 45:42differently and if they're going to be siblings, they shouldn't
- 45:50I'm happy that Robyn says here that she was proud of her
- 45:54because nobody had her back during the time of that Big Bear
- 46:06way. And it's like, OK, but this is
- 46:11And Kody backs up Meri here and says, I get it.
- 46:14No one wants to be yelling at their kids.
- 46:16And I'm going like, she wasn't even yelling.
- 46:20Like, they're making it sound like she was screaming at the
- 46:23top of her lungs. And it's like she was speaking
- 46:32And Meri's like, well, I'm going to fucking step in and do this
- 46:38I just don't like it.
- 46:40I don't like it. I don't like the way that they
- 46:41treated her about this. No, they're painting her as like
- 46:44a bad guy and they tend to do that frequently with her and her
- 46:48parenting style. And so I think she has a lot of
- 46:51internalized anger at herself for situations with the kids.
- 46:57I think she has regret on how she's handled things with the
- 47:00kids and been made to be kind of
- 47:03And obviously we don't know really what was going on behind
- 47:06the scenes. But in this moment, I totally
- 47:09stand with her. The little girls, Robyn's little
- 47:12girls were being picked on and
- 47:15little girls are just being sensitive and they're crying.
- 47:18And it's like, no, they are literally being brought into a
- 47:21new family and being told that
- 47:24older boys are picking on them.
- 47:26Of course they're going to cry. Of course they're going to cry.
- 47:30And there was a paralleled
- 47:31experience with Dayton even where Robyn, I mean, she was
- 47:34being Robyn and so gross, but was teeing up the idea of like,
- 47:38what if Dayton doesn't even want
- 47:40because of the way you're treating him?
- 47:41And she of course, had to weaponize it by being like, he
- 47:43could choose to live with his father.
- 47:44It's like, fuck you, Robyn. The real thing here is that your
- 47:47kids are being ostracized. They're being treated
- 47:49differently, differently, and it's not fair.
- 47:51And Meri was standing up for them.
- 47:52And you know, if you don't like the way Meri talked to the kids
- 47:54in that scene, well, we have a
- 47:57We. Do we definitely do.
- 47:59Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
- 48:03Oh my gosh, Kody. Kody, Kody.
- 48:06His most embarrassing moment was
- 48:11dinner together. At Lakai.
- 48:14At Lakai and she asked him, what
- 48:19another man? If I had another husband.
- 48:23If I had another husband. Oh, Kody, the vulgarity with
- 48:30another husband or another man
- 48:34Like, oh. My God yes.
- 48:37Every time that comes up it just
- 48:40Oh, the vulgarity of her doing
- 48:45We. Have a breakthrough moment
- 48:47during this, though it is a. Breakthrough moment.
- 48:50Meri apologizes forever, having posed that question to Kody.
- 48:55I didn't think that was the breakthrough moment, darling.
- 48:58Oh, I think that she finally apologized in that it was like
- 49:01Kody was like oh thank God you
- 49:05me that. When really the breakthrough
- 49:10moment was Kody, even if for selfish reasons to look good to
- 49:14everyone, recognizes that he was
- 49:18that he was feeling a certain kind of way.
- 49:21And it's like, thank you. That's what's the problem here
- 49:23is not Meri asking you the question to highlight that.
- 49:26It's just whatever. Like, just wondering if you
- 49:29could maybe empathize with my situation.
- 49:31Could you pretend to be me? Well, that would be terrible
- 49:34because he has a penis and she
- 49:36cult, so that could never happen.
- 49:39Let's call it breakthrough moments for both of them.
- 49:40Yeah. Yeah.
- 49:43Lies. Of all lies question #13 is from
- 49:49Maggie. I'm very overweight and I just
- 49:54never imagined I could change that.
- 49:56It just seems so overwhelming.
- 50:00What could you say to help me?
- 50:06Cue the emotional music long pause from Janelle.
- 50:11She says, wow, I'm overwhelmed.
- 50:14Yeah. And she's like tearing up.
- 50:17And Christine says that she's an inspiration to her, and she's an
- 50:24I don't know. I feel like this is very deep
- 50:26for her. I feel like she is like, wow,
- 50:29I'm, I'm actually making a difference.
- 50:30The fact that somebody asked me this and I can help other people
- 50:45And finding the people who believed in me and believed that
- 50:50It didn't feel like an organically true answer.
- 50:54I agree with you. I think she was so thrown off by
- 51:03question. And I felt that emotion for
- 51:06sure, aided by the emotional music of course, because I'm
- 51:09ASAP and I can cry when the wind changes directions.
- 51:11But I felt her feeling that for sure, you know, it seemed like
- 51:20was so moved by the question itself.
- 51:22She was either so moved by it or she felt like she felt like
- 51:27undeserving of being like an inspiration to somebody.
- 51:32OK. I think she still has a lot of
- 51:39through so much of that that she can't imagine herself being an
- 51:44guard, yeah, that she just doesn't even know how to answer
- 51:47it. It was a lot for her and I think
- 51:53it. And so, I don't know, I just
- 51:55felt for. It's like moments like that, I'm
- 51:57like, I love Janelle. Yeah.
- 51:59I love Janelle. Yeah.
- 52:00I hope that that resonated with her.
- 52:02And even though she wasn't able to give a meaningful answer
- 52:05because she was caught off guard, I hope that she was able
- 52:08to think like, even later that
- 52:12cool. Or when watching the episode
- 52:14back, like, I hope she got to really feel that in a way that
- 52:17wasn't. So how, how am I going to
- 52:20respond to this? Like let it sit.
- 52:21For a minute, you know? Yeah.
- 52:24Aaron poses our next question.
- 52:27You mean a a Ron? And a a Ron, well, girl, I can't
- 52:31repeat that. I can't say 2A's in a row.
- 52:34Aaron asks. So are you all actually sisters?
- 52:39I don't get it. Which I love because Christine
- 52:44has a great response. She says yes, biologically we
- 52:48have the same mother and the same father.
- 52:51Kody too, actually. Yes.
- 52:54Which I love. Like they all have the same mom
- 52:56and the same dad, and Kody says that's the reason our kids are
- 53:00so smart. And I'm like, holy shit.
- 53:03Oh, the levels, the layers. Like Kody, you didn't need to
- 53:06bring that into it. Inbreeding and your children's
- 53:09intelligence. They're all like laughing
- 53:12though, and Christine's, you know, sarcastic comment is
- 53:15pretty funny. And then Christine talks about
- 53:19the history of the sister wife
- 53:24that since the beginning of time.
- 53:27In Mormon fundamentalism, we didn't really get a good answer
- 53:31there, just that that's what they've been called.
- 53:33So that's that. As we know too from the Darger
- 53:37family, there are actually sister wives who are sisters.
- 53:42So they're probably like laughing at this because they
- 53:46are not siblings, they're sisters.
- 53:49But there are plague families where that is the case.
- 53:54At most they are distant cousins
- 54:00through marriage. AKA Janelle, married to Meri's
- 54:03brother and now married to Meri's husband.
- 54:05That's as close as they get to
- 54:08Dargers, I don't think you could
- 54:11twins, right? Twin sisters, Like you can't get
- 54:14much closer than that. Hello.
- 54:17Whole nother layer to the Eskimo
- 54:19You know, like, oh, not Eskimos,
- 54:23Eskimo brothers, I think it is
- 54:25Know, right? Yeah.
- 54:26So they're Himalayan sisters. Himalayan.
- 54:31Himalayan Himalayan sisters. Dude, No, that is so wrong.
- 54:38Please forgive. Me.
- 54:39Oh boy. Please forgive me.
- 54:41We're going to move on to Question 15, posed by Bonnie.
- 54:48How have your lives changed since the show began?
- 54:52Would you do anything different?
- 54:55Has going public been mostly a positive experience?
- 54:58My Bonnie lies over the ocean. My Bonnie lies over the sea.
- 55:05My Bonnie lies over the Himalayan mountains.
- 55:09Please bring Meri's mother Bonnie back to me because we got
- 55:18we can move into the house. Help me move.
- 55:19Oh my God. Sorry everybody, this is the
- 55:22last question. Just so you know, you guys are
- 55:25They kind of all go scary, scary, scary.
- 55:27It was scary, scary, scary at first.
- 55:30They insert a scene of the press in quotes, filming outside of
- 55:35the split level compound. You know, Robyn looking out the
- 55:37basement window. They're here, they're filming
- 55:40us. And it's like one person with a
- 55:42tripod, like OK girl. Janelle feels that she's been
- 55:46able to have more honest friendships after being open
- 55:49about her family situation and that's got to be honest.
- 55:56Like she has mentioned previously that she felt like
- 56:00she didn't have good close friendships because she had to
- 56:08So they show clips of them with friends and kind of in external
- 56:15situations with other adults in Vegas and.
- 56:19As sister wives. As sister wives and out in the
- 56:25better friendships after being open about it, right?
- 56:27Yeah, when she referenced that she couldn't do, she couldn't be
- 56:44acquaintances, coworkers, blah, blah, blah.
- 56:47And you're building rapport. You have these relationships,
- 56:49but then you're literally lying all the time to these people.
- 56:53And on one hand I'm going God it must be such a relief.
- 56:57And on the other I'm still stuck on the fucking lying for so many
- 57:04of fucking liars. So while I feel for her that
- 57:07it's great that she has that now, I'm like bet you lied for
- 57:16friends that finds this out and feeling like, did I ever really
- 57:20know you? That's kind of how I would feel
- 57:24because that's literally like your entire family life, your
- 57:27entire home life, and you're lying about your own children.
- 57:34situation where you feel like you have to lie.
- 57:36But like, as a friend of somebody that did that, I'd be
- 57:42hide it from me for so long is a little scary, I would think.
- 57:45I I don't know that it would be like unforgivable.
- 57:49Right. But because there's other
- 57:51situations where people lie about things and I'm sure you
- 57:55can be forgiving and I just don't, I don't know.
- 57:58There are times where she talked about being at work and how her
- 58:01Co workers wondered how it is that she could work late, never
- 58:04had to leave for appointments and all that shit.
- 58:06And it's like even something that basic like, yeah, you just
- 58:09lied to all of your Co workers. Like you had to or she felt she
- 58:12had to. Well, and imagine maybe this is
- 58:14where I might find it unforgivable.
- 58:16Let's say you're like a struggling mom and you're like
- 58:25done and how your work performance is suffering because
- 58:32She's so perfect, and yet she's like lying to your face about
- 58:36how she's doing it. That would almost be a little
- 58:39like backhanded. Like, I felt bad about myself
- 58:41because you were getting it all done and being the superhero
- 58:45mom, and really you weren't. That's so messy.
- 58:47That would feel shitty. Yeah, that's not good.
- 58:51But I mean, happy for you, Janelle.
- 58:52Yeah, just happy you can be open
- 58:55Just doesn't sit right with me.
- 58:56I, I don't know. I mean, it's, it's fine.
- 58:59It's fine, Robyn tells us that it's so hard to have people
- 59:03watching you and judging you and making a call on who you are.
- 59:08What, like seeing who you are and coming to conclusions that
- 59:16Excuse me, Allegedly. She's so gross.
- 59:20You. Literally just lied about how
- 59:22you'd be OK with Kody shaving his head when earlier on you we
- 59:26have actual footage of you saying that you'd be mad if he
- 59:32And it's, it's really just like people putting together the
- 59:35pieces and seeing who you really are.
- 59:36Like they can see through your facade.
- 59:38And this family might have fallen for some of your shit.
- 59:40I don't think they all fell for it.
- 59:41And I don't think they all fell for all of it.
- 59:44No, but she thinks everyone's buying her song and dance.
- 59:46And it's like, no, people don't buy it.
- 59:48You look like shit and you look like a pile of crap.
- 59:52Pile of crap and everybody knows it.
- 59:54Yeah, I think that there are storylines that are spun for
- 59:57reality TV and fake villains made-up for reality TV all the
- 1:00:05seasons for people to not see who you really are.
- 1:00:08It's not all editing, that's for sure.
- 1:00:10Kody gives himself a pat on the back and says we were doing a
- 1:00:16brave thing. And I'm like, EW, like just the
- 1:00:18way he talks about shit, he's like, I don't know if it's a
- 1:00:21martyr, but I don't know what that vibe is of like, we did a
- 1:00:30no. Giving yourself all the kudos.
- 1:00:35If I could do it again, I would eliminate the fear.
- 1:00:38And I'm like, This is why I fucking can't stand Kody.
- 1:00:41Because you're a douchebag, you're an idiot, you're a loser.
- 1:00:45in life where I was scared or whatever, I do wish I would have
- 1:00:49eliminated the fear. I wish I would have just tackled
- 1:00:52the issue and not been so caught
- 1:00:55Right. So I'm like, yeah, Amen, Kody.
- 1:00:57Fuck you, you know. Yeah, I do think a lot of us
- 1:01:00feel that way in hindsight about
- 1:01:03If I could have just done that
- 1:01:06not cared what people thought,
- 1:01:09and just done what I wanted. So I get it, but it also feels
- 1:01:13like a phony answer at the same time.
- 1:01:15It feels like a practiced answer, even though I kind of
- 1:01:19can relate. Yeah, I know.
- 1:01:21Yeah, this is it. I love to hate him.
- 1:01:24Bonnie asks how have your lives changed since the beginning of
- 1:01:27the show? And he says, well, when the show
- 1:01:30began, I had a wife coming into the family.
- 1:01:32I had one baby on the way, and
- 1:01:35we had the move. So yes, I mean, it's been 1 hell
- 1:01:39of a roller coaster. It's like, it's like, yeah,
- 1:01:42you're literally just listing off all the life changes that
- 1:01:46you've had. This person means something
- 1:01:48different than that, OK. About your literal experience,
- 1:01:54like how it made you feel, Would
- 1:01:58Oh, let's just avoid all that and point out the things where
- 1:02:00they can show a clip while I'm
- 1:02:02Like duh, no shit those things
- 1:02:04Like how we got it? Cut to literally them having
- 1:02:09banter back and forth commenting
- 1:02:11questions and blah blah blah blah blah and I'm like you
- 1:02:13literally just gave bullshit answers to these questions.
- 1:02:16You are so, oh, they're so crazy.
- 1:02:20And Robyn even says, you know, a
- 1:02:24I like that. And I'm like a little more
- 1:02:26thought going on. This sounds like third graders
- 1:02:29answering questions. Yeah.
- 1:02:31Oh, these people, these people, God.
- 1:02:36And of course, Kody, the patriarch of our family, has to
- 1:02:39wrap up the episode with a funny
- 1:02:44And he says Oh no one brought up
- 1:02:49Then he jokes to production off camera about how he should get
- 1:02:51a bonus for bringing up the subject because he knows they
- 1:02:55all want them to talk about sex and they don't want to talk
- 1:02:58about. Sex.
- 1:02:58He's talking to the people, like
- 1:03:01Yep. And Meri and Robyn kind of say
- 1:03:03simultaneously, why did you have
- 1:03:06And then Kody looking off, you
- 1:03:10is behind the camera says I get a cookie for that, don't I?
- 1:03:13I should get a cookie tonight.
- 1:03:18says. Well, that's awkward.
- 1:03:20I didn't mean it like that. I.
- 1:03:21Didn't mean that cookie. Janelle, I think, and Christine,
- 1:03:26they're like, EW, stop. Like, oh, my God, you guys are
- 1:03:31so juvenile, as you're saying.
- 1:03:34this time. Yeah, we're so much more
- 1:03:36insightful and blah, blah, blah.
- 1:03:37And then you got to end it like this, you morons.
- 1:03:40What thoughtful questions? We really exposed ourselves in
- 1:03:49Sister wise, you guys are here listening to us talk about
- 1:03:53Sister wise. Yes, yes.
- 1:03:55Friendly reminder, that's what's happening.
- 1:03:57All right, darling, you know how we wrap these up.
- 1:04:02Shit stain and mustard seed time I believe.
- 1:04:06What do you want to start with? I don't even know because it's
- 1:04:17stain and I am going to give it to Robyn yet again because her
- 1:04:31Oh, I'm so embarrassed looking back, having Saul on camera.
- 1:04:35Like, bitch, you had nine months to think about that.
- 1:04:39Stop. Yeah, give us like, an honest,
- 1:04:45you can't actually admit to any faults or anything that you
- 1:04:48might have actually done wrong on camera.
- 1:04:50So you're going to say, oh, I'm giving birth on camera, all
- 1:04:53right. Yep.
- 1:04:54We all wish that hadn't happened to Darlin.
- 1:04:57She wasn't embarrassed kissing Kody on film while Christine was
- 1:05:04It was more embarrassing to do this planned birth.
- 1:05:07Yeah, it wasn't embarrassing for her to have gone dressed
- 1:05:12shopping with Kody behind her sister wives backs.
- 1:05:16Right. She should be so much more
- 1:05:18embarrassed and humiliated by these other things.
- 1:05:20Yeah, And she could even use this as a time to, like, fess up
- 1:05:30Like no, she has to say something's stupid as per usual.
- 1:05:34relationships on this show. Obviously, I'm going to bestow
- 1:05:39my stain on Kody Brown because
- 1:05:45His implication that rock, paper, scissors could solve all
- 1:05:48of the problems in his world is ridiculous.
- 1:05:53The way that he talks about how seeing his daughter's cleavage
- 1:05:57is degrading. Yeah, that was weird.
- 1:06:00Is not only grammatically incorrect, but really shows his
- 1:06:05internalized misogyny. Yeah, it kind of like implies
- 1:06:11that he's thinking some type. Of that, like men, of course,
- 1:06:16can have no control over themselves.
- 1:06:18And like, how very dare you expose yourself to everyone,
- 1:06:21including your own father. And it's like, my God.
- 1:06:24Yeah, I feel like a lot of his
- 1:06:26answers as well, Like, oh, we were doing the brave thing here
- 1:06:30by coming out and. Oh yeah, pretending to be brave.
- 1:06:33I mean, you know, taking too much credit for being brave and
- 1:06:37everything having to do with Meri and the baby.
- 1:06:40Shit, I just can't even, I can't
- 1:06:42about it anymore. And he needs to drop it.
- 1:06:44He also tried to be husband of
- 1:06:49follow up question about the jealousy and what can I do to
- 1:06:52make your jealousy better and it's like shut the fuck you
- 1:06:55don't care. As if he was ever going to do
- 1:06:57anything with any of those answers.
- 1:06:58Yeah, you're right. He deserves it, as per usual.
- 1:07:02It's those two as per usual. And I can't forget when he said
- 1:07:08oh good thing you don't get to
- 1:07:10kids as I want to like Hunter as
- 1:07:14And it's like you're less mature
- 1:07:18son. Fuck you.
- 1:07:20Yeah, that was a bad. That was bad.
- 1:07:22Not good. My mustard seed is going to
- 1:07:28Janelle because obviously she's doing a good job with her kids
- 1:07:46children more insight through a couple of things that Hunter has
- 1:07:52And, you know, sex with someone you love and they're committed
- 1:07:59her parenting style is paying off and she's creating humans
- 1:08:04that are going to be productive members of society where some of
- 1:08:15And I think we know nowadays that some of them are not.
- 1:08:21So that and then her getting thrown by the question about
- 1:08:26weight loss and not knowing how to take her kudos and Pats on
- 1:08:31the back. I hope that was eye opening for
- 1:08:34her. And I think that was a truly
- 1:08:37honest reaction of her and being caught off guard.
- 1:08:39And I don't know, I just yeah, she deserves it, I believe.
- 1:08:44Yeah. I support that mustard seed.
- 1:08:47I'm giving my mustard seed this episode to Meri Brown.
- 1:08:51And you know, it pains me to do so sometimes, but this episode,
- 1:08:56I'm OK with it because, you know, and it's weird that I'm
- 1:09:00saying this because she referenced the Big Bear moment
- 1:09:06really, girl? Because that's why I'm giving
- 1:09:09her my mustard seed, is that she did that.
- 1:09:11And I really wish she would have stuck with it in the sense of
- 1:09:14like, no, I was doing the right thing.
- 1:09:16I don't know. But this might be the first time
- 1:09:23right thing to do because I think she was shamed like ever
- 1:09:30she was wrong for that for so long that of course she feels
- 1:09:33like it's embarrassing, but this might be the first time that
- 1:09:36like, Robyn and Kody actually said like, no, we were proud of
- 1:09:39you for that. Oh, and of course, when they're
- 1:09:42wrapping up the episode, she did try to make Kody be
- 1:09:45embarrassed by his cookie comment, which I appreciated.
- 1:09:47Yeah, she tried to shut him. Up.
- 1:09:48Thank you, Meri. Thank you, Meri, for trying to
- 1:09:54sweet moment. This episode comes to us all the
- 1:09:58Darling, I'm not going to do the British accent because I can't
- 1:10:04Oh God, I'm so sorry. Laura McKay, 89, left us a
- 1:10:08review on Apple Podcasts from the UK and Laura McKay, 89,
- 1:10:13titled their review My Favorite podcast.
- 1:10:16Although it does read like my favorite podcast.
- 1:10:19My favorite podcast. Please don't tune out, everyone.
- 1:10:27I get car so much for switching our.
- 1:10:29Bad accents. They we're all over the world.
- 1:10:32We're all, we're global. Oh, I wait in anticipation for
- 1:10:37the weekly episode of my Sister Wives podcast.
- 1:10:40Being from England, I don't know
- 1:10:43what Sister Wives is. So when I discovered your
- 1:10:46podcast last year, it was like I
- 1:10:50and dissect each episode with.
- 1:10:56Keep them coming, guys. Oh, isn't that sweet?
- 1:11:00That is sweet. Oh, I mean we're actually using
- 1:11:02the word sweet. Should we say Kody like that
- 1:11:06with a British accent? Oh, Kody, Kody.
- 1:11:11Oh Kody. Oh, how offensive.
- 1:11:14I'm so sorry. Laura McKay.
- 1:11:15I apologize, yes. But you know what?
- 1:11:19I'm so glad to hear from people.
- 1:11:21Like I said on the other side of the pond, globally,
- 1:11:23internationally, this is an international podcast.
- 1:11:26Girl, we are international. And they know all about that
- 1:11:31Habsburg job over there. We're like the United Nations of
- 1:11:38Wow. I'm kind of like Kody giving us
- 1:11:40a little too much credit. We are a brave podcast.
- 1:11:45Yes, yes indeed. And thank you for coming on this
- 1:11:50And thank you everyone else as well.
- 1:11:52Two dolls.
