Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Mister New York Mark Simone.
- 0:03Speaker 2: He's on seven tenon Hey. A lot going on now,
- 0:12Speaker 2: there's a it's a pretty bad situation there. Forty second
- 0:16Speaker 2: Street between second and third. Stay away from that area.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Forty second three between second and third. There's remember the
- 0:26Speaker 2: Peiser building, Pfiser headquarters was on that block, and it's
- 0:29Speaker 2: a big skyscraper. Well, Pfizer's I guess, moved out and
- 0:32Speaker 2: they've been doing massive construction in that building and the
- 0:37Speaker 2: building became unstable and started to buckle. I mean the
- 0:41Speaker 2: support beams were actually buckling as the construction was going on,
- 0:46Speaker 2: and floors started to cave in in this building and
- 0:51Speaker 2: bricks flying off the building. Now, luckily all the construction
- 0:55Speaker 2: workers managed to get out of the building safely, but
- 0:58Speaker 2: the whole block is closed. The area around there is
- 1:02Speaker 2: massive chaos. It's fire trucks and emergency vehicles. Forty second
- 1:08Speaker 2: between second and third, So you don't want to go
- 1:09Speaker 2: anywhere near there. And that's a busy area with the
- 1:12Speaker 2: un and everything. I used to work on that block
- 1:15Speaker 2: forty second between second and third when I first came
- 1:18Speaker 2: to New York, I was on WPIX FM. You remember
- 1:21Speaker 2: that station, Well, it was in the Daily News building
- 1:24Speaker 2: because it was owned by the Daily News, then the
- 1:27Speaker 2: largest newspaper in America. And that was forty second between
- 1:31Speaker 2: second and third, right across from the Speiser building. And
- 1:34Speaker 2: then next door is the hotel. It was the Helmsley Hotel.
- 1:37Speaker 2: It's called something else. Now what else on that block?
- 1:40Speaker 2: That's the two biggest landmarks on that block. And then
- 1:46Speaker 2: actually forty second and third, Yeah, I worked on that
- 1:49Speaker 2: corner too. That's where WNW was. Forty second and third,
- 1:54Speaker 2: that's the building where the Autumn at was, So I
- 1:57Speaker 2: know that block. Well, it'll be a close. This is
- 2:00Speaker 2: a bad, bad situation. It's a big skyscraper, support beams, buckling,
- 2:06Speaker 2: floor's caving in just to stabilize. This could take a
- 2:09Speaker 2: long long time. This block could be closed for quite
- 2:13Speaker 2: a while, and you got to worry about the building collapse.
- 2:18Speaker 2: You got to worry about all kinds of things. So
- 2:19Speaker 2: I don't see this block getting open for a long time. Hey, Iran,
- 2:26Speaker 2: as we mentioned last hour, been cheating like crazy. All
- 2:30Speaker 2: of a sudden, work taking place at some of their
- 2:32Speaker 2: nuclear sites by them, So who knows what they're up to.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Now you've got to remember the president has had this
- 2:40Speaker 2: peace agreement, and this has been going on for a
- 2:43Speaker 2: couple of months. He's waited a long time, so we
- 2:46Speaker 2: may have to go in and finish the job. But
- 2:48Speaker 2: the good part of all this is because of the
- 2:51Speaker 2: two to three months of peace agreements giving them a chance.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Months a couple of months have given them a chance.
- 2:58Speaker 2: That kind of gives them the okay to now go
- 3:00Speaker 2: in on a much higher level than last time. I mean,
- 3:04Speaker 2: you know, last time we were taken out military stuff,
- 3:06Speaker 2: we were taken out nuclear stuff. But you can't go
- 3:09Speaker 2: in and just wipe out a whole country. You can't
- 3:11Speaker 2: just go wipe out everything. But you kind of can
- 3:14Speaker 2: do it now. Because he was at least optics wise,
- 3:18Speaker 2: it looked like he was being pretty fair. Gave them
- 3:21Speaker 2: plenty of time, gave them a presagreement, gave them plenty
- 3:24Speaker 2: of chances, months and months and months of chances. So
- 3:28Speaker 2: it gives them license now to go in if we
- 3:32Speaker 2: have to really wipe out stuff, to do it now,
- 3:35Speaker 2: so that could I know they're planning all of that
- 3:37Speaker 2: right now. President Trump is in Turkey today for the
- 3:40Speaker 2: NATO summit, and I imagine in the most secret private meetings,
- 3:44Speaker 2: that's what they're discussing finishing off Iran. Turkey is of
- 3:51Speaker 2: course not a friend of ours. President Trump meeting with
- 3:55Speaker 2: air Towan and Turkey. Aired One wants to buy aircraft,
- 3:59Speaker 2: all his fighter jets, that kind of stuff. Israel publicly
- 4:03Speaker 2: saying don't sell them anything because there the worst people
- 4:07Speaker 2: in the world there, and who knows who they'll help
- 4:09Speaker 2: or support. So we'll see what happens at the end.
- 4:13Speaker 2: He's there today, then tomorrow, then comes back Platner. Well,
- 4:19Speaker 2: he's out. He said he's suspending, he's reflecting. What did
- 4:23Speaker 2: he say? What do you say reflecting that he's reflecting,
- 4:26Speaker 2: which he also said, let me see he says suspending here,
- 4:29Speaker 2: so regardless of the inaccuracy of the reporting, but mindful
- 4:33Speaker 2: of political reality, it will inflect. We are taking the
- 4:36Speaker 2: time to reflect on the best path forward. Yeah, reflecting.
- 4:41Speaker 2: I guess he didn't want to use the word suspending.
- 4:43Speaker 2: But whenever you reflect or suspend, nobody's ever. I can't
- 4:47Speaker 2: think of any campaign that ever came back after suspending.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Now you can always count on Fetterman to be the
- 4:55Speaker 2: one still saying still rational democrat, never back to platinir
- 5:01Speaker 2: And now Fetterman is demanding that Bernie Sanders apologize for
- 5:07Speaker 2: backing this predator. He should include Elizabeth Warren in that. Actually, Warren.
- 5:14Speaker 2: I mean, listen to Warren. Everybody's playing this clip over
- 5:17Speaker 2: and over again. This is Warren. A few weeks ago.
- 5:18Speaker 3: I said to myself, that's my kind of man, because
- 5:27Speaker 3: that is a man who not only has the values,
- 5:33Speaker 3: but a man who believes in accountability.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Yeah, a history of rape, lying, he's got a huge
- 5:39Speaker 2: Nazi death camp tattoo all over his chest. That's what
- 5:44Speaker 2: did she say.
- 5:45Speaker 3: I said to myself, that's my kind of man.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Yeah, so a fetterman. As this morning demanded an apology
- 5:53Speaker 2: from Bernie Sanders. I really call on Bernie Sanders to
- 5:57Speaker 2: apologize for pushing this kind of predator more than anyone.
- 6:02Speaker 2: And we'll see. I don't think Bernie Sanders going to
- 6:05Speaker 2: say anything. Elizabeth Warren wouldn't say anything. Her office put
- 6:08Speaker 2: out a statement she didn't want to actually sayings. Sanders
- 6:12Speaker 2: has remained silent. Fox News says they tried to contact
- 6:16Speaker 2: his office for some kind of statement. Silent, He would
- 6:19Speaker 2: not give a statement about this. Yesterday was the beginning
- 6:25Speaker 2: of the court hearings for the assassin that killed Charlie Kirk.
- 6:31Speaker 2: It's tough to watch, very tough to watch the assassin.
- 6:35Speaker 2: It's a nice looking guy, and he's sort of if
- 6:37Speaker 2: he didn't know, he's like a normal looking guy like that.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Luigi Mangione looks a little nuts. This guy, although it's
- 6:45Speaker 2: just a shot from the side, he didn't look that nuts,
- 6:48Speaker 2: but obviously he is. Erica Kirk, the widow, was there
- 6:53Speaker 2: with Charlie's parents and other family members that had to
- 6:56Speaker 2: sit there in the courtroom and look at this assassin.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Officer Charles Begley, he's the witness heard the rifle shot,
- 7:04Speaker 2: watched Charlie Kirk get shot. He was testifying yesterday. The
- 7:09Speaker 2: accused assassen, Tyler Robinson, who does face the death penalty
- 7:13Speaker 2: they have it in that state, was actually seen smiling
- 7:16Speaker 2: while talking to his attorney. At various points. Robinson appeared
- 7:20Speaker 2: in a gray suit, shackled at the wrists. Seems stoic
- 7:24Speaker 2: as prosecutors displayed photos of the campus and rooftop from
- 7:28Speaker 2: which he allegedly shot the Turning Point USA founder, So
- 7:32Speaker 2: it was rough. Donald Trump Junior was there in the courtroom,
- 7:35Speaker 2: very close to Charlie Kirk. He flew in for that
- 7:39Speaker 2: and it was very, very tough. Now they played video.
- 7:42Speaker 2: I don't know if you've ever seen the actual video
- 7:45Speaker 2: of when Charlie Kirk is hit by the bullet. I
- 7:48Speaker 2: do not recommend you watch it. You'll never forget it.
- 7:51Speaker 2: It's so hideous and graphic and it's awful. They had
- 7:55Speaker 2: to show it in the courtroom and they say even
- 7:57Speaker 2: the judge winced. Even the judge been through a million
- 8:00Speaker 2: of these cases, winced. You can see his head go back.
- 8:04Speaker 2: It was tough for even the judge to see it.
- 8:07Speaker 2: So well. I think we're done with the fireworks Fourth
- 8:11Speaker 2: of July. Those fireworks it's getting out of control. I mean,
- 8:15Speaker 2: it's great to see Macy's fireworks. The ones in DC
- 8:17Speaker 2: were the biggest and best ever in America. The small towns,
- 8:21Speaker 2: the suburbs, they all do you know, three or four fireworks.
- 8:25Speaker 2: But the worst thing is these amateur fireworks. A lot
- 8:27Speaker 2: of just regular amateur civilians getting a hold of fireworks
- 8:32Speaker 2: and just firing them off on Fourth of July, causing
- 8:34Speaker 2: all kinds of problems. It's caused fires, it's caused injuries.
- 8:38Speaker 2: And look at this Brooklyn high rise, it was hit
- 8:43Speaker 2: with fireworks. Tenants the Brooklyn high Rise has balconies, so
- 8:46Speaker 2: a lot of people going out to watch the Macy's
- 8:48Speaker 2: fireworks and then getting hit. One woman says, I got
- 8:50Speaker 2: hit in the chest with the fireworks, and the fireworks
- 8:53Speaker 2: are hitting this building, damaging windows. This is just from
- 8:56Speaker 2: idiots in the neighborhood sending them off onlookers getting showered
- 9:00Speaker 2: with sparks, rooftop party goers fleeing. Actually, although the good
- 9:07Speaker 2: news is nine to one to one, they get complaints
- 9:10Speaker 2: from people illegally setting off fireworks. They said they got
- 9:12Speaker 2: less less calls this year, twenty two hundred. Last year
- 9:16Speaker 2: it was thirty one hundred. So I guess it's improving
- 9:19Speaker 2: a little. Hey that crazy mom, Donnie, our crazy amateur mayor,
- 9:29Speaker 2: Now this is not good. He in the new budget.
- 9:31Speaker 2: He's got this crazy new budget that's absolutely insane. Remember,
- 9:35Speaker 2: so total amateur doesn't know anything about management or running
- 9:38Speaker 2: a city and certainly knows nothing about budgets. Allowed this
- 9:42Speaker 2: budget to go through. That is absolutely ludicrous. It's one
- 9:45Speaker 2: hundred and twenty six billion for New York City. It
- 9:48Speaker 2: probably should be like one third of that. This is
- 9:52Speaker 2: like double the budget of Florida, and Florida has more
- 9:55Speaker 2: people than New York A lot more people in New
- 9:58Speaker 2: York City, so it's in now. The Department of Education
- 10:03Speaker 2: is a total disaster. The New York City Department of
- 10:07Speaker 2: Education is absolute disaster. Kids are not being taught anything.
- 10:14Speaker 2: The scores that get coming out of the New York
- 10:17Speaker 2: City schools are disastrous. Half of them can't read. I mean,
- 10:21Speaker 2: it's just a disaster in these schools, and the budget
- 10:24Speaker 2: on them is way way too high. They should cut
- 10:28Speaker 2: the budget dramatically, which would mean getting rid of layers
- 10:32Speaker 2: and layers and layers of bureaucracy. That's the problem with
- 10:35Speaker 2: our Board of Education. Every time you throw a dollar in,
- 10:38Speaker 2: maybe four cents gets to the classroom. The rest of
- 10:41Speaker 2: it eaten up by layers and layers and layers and
- 10:44Speaker 2: layers of bureaucracy that serve no purpose. So as bad
- 10:48Speaker 2: as this is, as much as you need to cut
- 10:50Speaker 2: that out, all that waste and fat in the Department
- 10:54Speaker 2: of Education. In the new budget, it turns out, mom,
- 10:57Speaker 2: Donnie quietly added eight hundred million to this eight hundred million,
- 11:01Speaker 2: that's what he added to the school's budget. Our Department
- 11:05Speaker 2: of Education currently is getting the hold on to something.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Our Department of education is currently getting thirty eight billion.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Thirty eight billion, that's that's preposterous. It should be five billion,
- 11:20Speaker 2: maybe maybe at the most. And again this is more.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Thirty eight billion is more than the budget of most cities.
- 11:28Speaker 2: And our Department of Education is a total disaster. Nobody's
- 11:33Speaker 2: learning anything. So this is a Mamdani continuing this, actually
- 11:36Speaker 2: expanding this disaster. The other thing is in the budget.
- 11:41Speaker 2: You know, we're supposed to put in more policemen because
- 11:45Speaker 2: we're losing cops by the thousands. They're retiring. So Mam
- 11:50Speaker 2: Donnie did not put in any money for the police
- 11:53Speaker 2: out of this new budget. Nothing, nothing, So you're not
- 11:59Speaker 2: replacing anybody. And it's basically he's defunding the police. He's
- 12:02Speaker 2: found a way to do it, a way to shrink
- 12:04Speaker 2: the police force because as they retire by the thousands,
- 12:09Speaker 2: he could bring down the amount of officers down by
- 12:11Speaker 2: five thousand in the next couple of years, which is
- 12:14Speaker 2: absolutely disastrous. We're already way below the number we should have,
- 12:19Speaker 2: way below the number we usually have. You know, this
- 12:21Speaker 2: department was up to forty thousand, I think forty two
- 12:25Speaker 2: thousand at one point. It's down around thirty thousand. There's
- 12:28Speaker 2: not enough cops, and he's causing this defunding by just
- 12:34Speaker 2: not replacing the cops that are retiring, and obviously they're
- 12:37Speaker 2: retiring at a much bigger pace. Now, Hey, good news,
- 12:40Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman. In the real pulse. Forget these public poles.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Those are just cheap, flimsy, stupid public pols. The real polls,
- 12:48Speaker 2: the behind the scenes, super expensive, scientific, deadly accurate polls
- 12:53Speaker 2: have Blakeman almost He's catching up. He was said twenty
- 12:57Speaker 2: points behind a couple of weeks ago, he was eight
- 13:00Speaker 2: points behind. Looks like he's about six points behind right
- 13:02Speaker 2: now in the real poles. That's important. Blakeman wants to
- 13:07Speaker 2: debate Kathy Hochel. She is ducking him. She will not
- 13:11Speaker 2: debate him because if it's a debate and everybody's watching,
- 13:15Speaker 2: he's going to just rattle off some stuff in front
- 13:17Speaker 2: of her. You know, our electric bills went crazy. Then
- 13:20Speaker 2: it used to be one hundred a month. That's four
- 13:22Speaker 2: hundred a month. The electric bills are going crazy. First
- 13:24Speaker 2: Cuomo shuts down Indian Point, and then after Hokeel got in,
- 13:29Speaker 2: she started putting all kinds of fees and taxes on
- 13:32Speaker 2: your electric bill to pay for these stupid green scheme things.
- 13:35Speaker 2: So she has increased your electric bill deliberately with all
- 13:39Speaker 2: these taxes she's putting on electricity, and he's going to
- 13:43Speaker 2: bring that up. Also, she refuses to take the net.
- 13:45Speaker 2: We're sitting on a ton of natural gas underneath us
- 13:48Speaker 2: here in New York State. She refuses to drill it,
- 13:52Speaker 2: refuses while at the same time buying natural gas from Pennsylvania.
- 13:57Speaker 2: We got our own natural gas here. She could bring
- 13:59Speaker 2: your electric build down by about two hundred percent easily,
- 14:03Speaker 2: just do this. So he's gonna bring all that up
- 14:05Speaker 2: in a debate. She does not want that said publicly
- 14:08Speaker 2: with her standing there, so he's trying to debate her.
- 14:10Speaker 2: She keeps stuck in him. But Bruce Blakeman, he'd be
- 14:13Speaker 2: a great covernor he want to help. Go to blakemanfronewyork
- 14:16Speaker 2: dot com. If you say I hope he wins, will
- 14:19Speaker 2: help him win. Go to Bruce. Go to blakemanfromew York
- 14:22Speaker 2: dot com blakemanfronew York dot com and donate or volunteer
- 14:29Speaker 2: or whatever you can do. Hey, we'll take some calls.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Next eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is
- 14:35Speaker 2: the number eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 14:39Speaker 4: Live from the woor Life Back Studios, Bill Mark's Demon Show.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Hey, we'll take some calls. If you haven't called this before,
- 14:50Speaker 2: Let's get some new callers. If you haven't called this before.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zer zero seven to ten.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Let's go to Let's go to Catherine, Waterford, Connecticut. That's
- 15:05Speaker 2: way out there, Catherine. How are you doing?
- 15:07Speaker 5: Yes, Hey, good morning, Mark. It caught my attention. I
- 15:11Speaker 5: noticed in the town that I grew up in, Connecticut
- 15:14Speaker 5: of Blueskate, that despite the fact that the student enrollment
- 15:18Speaker 5: from K to twelve has remained pretty much stagnant at
- 15:22Speaker 5: her static I guess that's the word, at around four
- 15:25Speaker 5: thousand take twenty five on the given year, and yet
- 15:28Speaker 5: the board of that is almost quadrupled in the last
- 15:31Speaker 5: thirty years.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just become a bull, you know, inefficient bureaucracy.
- 15:36Speaker 2: You're absolutely right.
- 15:37Speaker 5: Oh, and now they want you digs, you know, they
- 15:39Speaker 5: want a new building, they want everything. And I'm like,
- 15:41Speaker 5: oh my god.
- 15:43Speaker 2: And where are you driving to You sound like you're
- 15:44Speaker 2: in your car.
- 15:46Speaker 5: I'm in Waterford. Now, oh sorry, I'm much here where
- 15:50Speaker 5: my son and daughter live. He just finished up twenty
- 15:55Speaker 5: three years in submarine duties.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Waterford is near New London, a big naval
- 15:59Speaker 2: base there.
- 16:01Speaker 5: Uh huh yeah, that you co star the submarine base,
- 16:05Speaker 5: the other things.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Very good. All right, well thanks for calling. Let's go
- 16:09Speaker 2: to Kevin and Long Island. Kevin, how you doing, hey.
- 16:13Speaker 6: Mark, big fan of the show. Listen all the time
- 16:16Speaker 6: I wanted to touch base with you on late night TV.
- 16:20Speaker 6: I go back to Carson. You know, I wasn't around
- 16:24Speaker 6: for before Carson, but then after Carson, when you had
- 16:28Speaker 6: Leno and all those other guys. My favorite was actually
- 16:31Speaker 6: Craig Ferguson. And you never mentioned Craig Ferguson. I want
- 16:35Speaker 6: to know what you think about him.
- 16:36Speaker 2: He was very very good, very very good. But he
- 16:40Speaker 2: was kind of the not the late night show. He
- 16:42Speaker 2: was the late late night show. Out of all the
- 16:46Speaker 2: late late shows. The Letterman, Tom Snyder, Seth Myers is
- 16:50Speaker 2: just awful, the worst. But you're right, Craig Ferguson very good.
- 16:54Speaker 2: A lot of YouTube videos watch you, Don Rickolson. Craig
- 16:57Speaker 2: Ferguson excellent stuff. A good point Hey, if you haven't
- 17:01Speaker 2: read the new Carson book by Mark Malcoff, get the book.
- 17:07Speaker 2: It's called Love Johnny Carson. It is the greatest book
- 17:10Speaker 2: ever written on Johnny Carson. That's tonight show called Love
- 17:14Speaker 2: Johnny Carson. It's on Amazon, Mark Malcoff. Get it. You'll
- 17:17Speaker 2: love it. Actually, we'll get them back on the show soon.
- 17:20Speaker 2: Let's go to Christine in Manhattan. Christine, how you doing?
- 17:25Speaker 7: Hi?
- 17:25Speaker 8: Mark, thank you for your great show. I have a question.
- 17:30Speaker 8: I live in Manhattan. I have not seen hide nor
- 17:33Speaker 8: hair of ice anywhere, and there's what I view as
- 17:37Speaker 8: a growing problem, more and more hostility from illegal aliens
- 17:42Speaker 8: that work in different businesses like a coffee shop or
- 17:46Speaker 8: a pizza parlor, and they're becoming very hostile and nasty.
- 17:52Speaker 8: You're white.
- 17:52Speaker 2: I think that's just you, and they're nice to all
- 17:54Speaker 2: of us. I think it's you. I'm kidding. I'm kidding.
- 17:58Speaker 2: What I'm kidding?
- 18:00Speaker 7: Well?
- 18:00Speaker 8: Where is ice? Why aren't these people being cleared out
- 18:03Speaker 8: of here?
- 18:03Speaker 2: What part of Manhattan? Are you in?
- 18:06Speaker 8: Lower east Side?
- 18:08Speaker 2: So how long you been there?
- 18:11Speaker 8: Many years?
- 18:12Speaker 2: So you saw the transformation. It used to be like
- 18:14Speaker 2: the Lower east Side really old world stuff. Now it's
- 18:16Speaker 2: clubs and nightclubs and trendy restaurants.
- 18:19Speaker 8: It's probably driving well, the clubs and disappearing. We're sort
- 18:24Speaker 8: of dead now because of the congestion pricing. Oh so
- 18:28Speaker 8: there's nothing left uh here and people are really suffering
- 18:32Speaker 8: businesses things like that.
- 18:34Speaker 2: All right, well, all of you illegals, do you ever leave?
- 18:40Speaker 2: Do you ever leave a tip?
- 18:43Speaker 8: I don't want to talk about tips.
- 18:44Speaker 6: I want to know where is Ice.
- 18:46Speaker 2: I think she's not tipping. I think that's why they're
- 18:48Speaker 2: always nasty to you, the son.
- 18:51Speaker 8: Of your business.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Nasty to your little cold there, Christine, a little hostile.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Let's go to Nancy in New Jersey, Nan, see how
- 19:00Speaker 2: you're doing.
- 19:02Speaker 9: Okay, Mark, I just wanted you to know that the
- 19:04Speaker 9: nickname for Elizabeth Warren originally was faux Cahantas, as in
- 19:09Speaker 9: fake Pocahontas Pocahontas, and nobody's using that anymore. Did Pocahontas.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Well, Pocahontas is better Pokemon, But it was because it's
- 19:19Speaker 2: a fake, right, No Pocahontas. She's a fake Indian, so
- 19:22Speaker 2: you call her Pocahontas. But it was how he car
- 19:24Speaker 2: that started that. President Trump's a big Howie car fan.
- 19:27Speaker 2: He picked it up and started using it and it
- 19:30Speaker 2: really caught on.
- 19:31Speaker 9: I know, but originally was Pocahontas.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Anyway, not as good as Pocahonas. I like Pocahontas. Okay,
- 19:35Speaker 2: all right, thanks for calling. Let's go to uh Bill
- 19:39Speaker 2: in New Jersey. Bill, how you doing good?
- 19:42Speaker 4: Thank you Mark?
- 19:43Speaker 10: Mark?
- 19:44Speaker 4: How many more Americans have to be killed and injured?
- 19:47Speaker 4: And because the Democrats insist on giving large truck licenses
- 19:53Speaker 4: to illegals who cannot read road signs.
- 19:56Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a big problem. A lot of illegal aliens
- 19:58Speaker 2: thanks to Democrats, are getting driver sizes they can't read English,
- 20:02Speaker 2: and it's caused major accidents. And he's right, it's caused
- 20:05Speaker 2: a lot of deaths around the country. Hey, now there's
- 20:08Speaker 2: another caller named Bill in New Jersey. Maybe we'll make
- 20:11Speaker 2: that a feature. We'll just take calls from people named
- 20:13Speaker 2: Bill in New Jersey. Let's go to the other Bill
- 20:15Speaker 2: in New Jersey. Bill, how you doing.
- 20:18Speaker 10: Good?
- 20:18Speaker 1: Good? Good? And that is William J. My full name.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Great calls from the previous callers the Johnny Carson Show,
- 20:26Speaker 1: and Greg Ferguson is good. I wish he would come
- 20:28Speaker 1: back on a mainstream station to make people laugh. But
- 20:35Speaker 1: my buddy, my old high school buddy, held the cute
- 20:38Speaker 1: cards for the Johnny Carson monologue show. And I was
- 20:42Speaker 1: on the show a lot because I was working on
- 20:44Speaker 1: the thirty nine flour at thirty Rocks. But Johnny Carson
- 20:48Speaker 1: would never go to Sarties with the gang. He would
- 20:51Speaker 1: go home to Park Avenue and he would drink a
- 20:54Speaker 1: lot of vodka.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Well, yes, that was entirely accurate. When Johnny Carson before
- 21:00Speaker 2: the Tonight Show, he did a game show called Who
- 21:02Speaker 2: Do You Trust? It was next door to Sartis, and
- 21:04Speaker 2: he spent a lot of time in Sardis. And then
- 21:06Speaker 2: in later years when he was doing the Tonight Show
- 21:08Speaker 2: in New York, he was out a lot of nights.
- 21:10Speaker 2: He was in Jilly's, he was in Danny's Hideaway, he
- 21:13Speaker 2: was in Michael's Pub, he was in Basin Street East.
- 21:16Speaker 2: He was quite the party guy all over New York.
- 21:19Speaker 7: Out a lot, okay, And he used to say once
- 21:25Speaker 7: he admitted he was an alcoholic, somebody said, well, why
- 21:28Speaker 7: don't you drink anymore?
- 21:30Speaker 1: And he said, I'm not a happy drunk, I'm a
- 21:33Speaker 1: bad drunk.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Yeah, he got in a lot of fights with He
- 21:36Speaker 2: had an incredible talent for. Dangerfields was another place he went.
- 21:40Speaker 2: He had an incredible talent for when he got drunk
- 21:42Speaker 2: and he'd go out, he'd hit on some woman, like inappropriately,
- 21:47Speaker 2: like drunkenly. He had an incredible talent for the woman
- 21:50Speaker 2: he would hit on for always picking the girlfriend of
- 21:53Speaker 2: a mobster who had just gone to the men's room.
- 21:55Speaker 2: So a couple of times he almost got killed. The
- 22:00Speaker 2: most famous one was in Gilly's where he hit on
- 22:02Speaker 2: this woman and started groping her. He was drunk, very drunk,
- 22:06Speaker 2: and she was the girlfriend of Joey Gallo and he
- 22:10Speaker 2: was going to kill him. An official contract was out
- 22:14Speaker 2: on Carson. He had to leave. He couldn't do the
- 22:16Speaker 2: Tonight Show for a few nights. They had to hide
- 22:18Speaker 2: him away and lock him up. It finally got settled.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Somebody at NBC had enough mob connections to try to
- 22:25Speaker 2: get it settled, and it was Frank Sinatra who stepped
- 22:27Speaker 2: in and convinced Joey Gallo to drop the hit on Carson.
- 22:32Speaker 2: It took him like a week before he could come
- 22:34Speaker 2: back to work. Hey, when we come back, Bill O'Reilly
- 22:37Speaker 2: will be with us. He's got a great new book out.
- 22:39Speaker 2: We'll talk to Bill O'Reilly next about Graham Plattner, about
- 22:42Speaker 2: all sorts of stuff coming up on seven to ten WR.
- 22:46Speaker 2: He's always a headline. I had Mark Simmo seven to
- 22:50Speaker 2: ten wo R. Well, Bill O'Reilly, the number one TV
- 22:54Speaker 2: anchor for decades, number one best selling nonfiction author on
- 22:57Speaker 2: Earth up and reading his new book. It's coming out.
- 22:59Speaker 2: It's great. He's got a new podcast called Will Do
- 23:02Speaker 2: It Live. It's excellent, one great guest after another Will
- 23:07Speaker 2: Do It Live. And you can go to YouTube. You
- 23:09Speaker 2: can go to his YouTube channel, Bill O'Reilly on YouTube.
- 23:12Speaker 2: But the best thing is you go to Bill O'Reilly
- 23:14Speaker 2: dot com. You get everything there, the book, the podcast,
- 23:17Speaker 2: the YouTube channel, the TV show, the column billoreilly dot com.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Bill O'Reilly, congratulations, I love the new book.
- 23:25Speaker 10: Thank you for reading. And you know, I said it
- 23:26Speaker 10: to five people, this is absolutely true, and I said,
- 23:32Speaker 10: who knows me the best? Because it's a little bit
- 23:35Speaker 10: different confronting America? What has to change a little bit
- 23:40Speaker 10: different than killing the witches or confronting evil? Because it's
- 23:45Speaker 10: based on my face to face encounters throughout my career.
- 23:50Speaker 10: I said, who knows me? Who could give me an
- 23:53Speaker 10: honest assessment, So simooning your name popped up and then
- 23:56Speaker 10: you got the first of five copies that went out.
- 23:59Speaker 2: Well, tell us who are the other for? Can you
- 24:01Speaker 2: reveal it?
- 24:03Speaker 10: No, I can't really reveal it because they'd have to
- 24:06Speaker 10: leave the country. They'd be deported.
- 24:09Speaker 2: It's quite a riveting book because it's more it really
- 24:11Speaker 2: and it takes it through your journey through war zones,
- 24:15Speaker 2: through everywhere, through Harvard through it's a fascinating look at
- 24:19Speaker 2: the news business and all of that. I that must
- 24:22Speaker 2: have taken longer than your usual books. It's a question.
- 24:25Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 24:25Speaker 10: It was a killer for me because I couldn't use
- 24:28Speaker 10: researcher on it. It was all, as you point out,
- 24:33Speaker 10: a personal journey. But I don't think that I was
- 24:38Speaker 10: unfair to anyone. I had to keep that in mind
- 24:41Speaker 10: because we're talking about Dan rather, we're talking about Mike Wallace.
- 24:45Speaker 10: We're talking about the biggest names in the media and
- 24:49Speaker 10: in show business, Jack Nicholson, Clint Eastwood, and the encounters
- 24:54Speaker 10: that I had with them, some good, some bad. And
- 24:58Speaker 10: so I think that people when they read it will
- 25:00Speaker 10: get a good perspective of where this country is. As
- 25:05Speaker 10: far as how it's changed, and it has, you know,
- 25:09Speaker 10: over the Voyd of July, I was cruising around just
- 25:13Speaker 10: and I was happy with the response of the American people,
- 25:17Speaker 10: most of whom were very respectful to our nation and
- 25:21Speaker 10: our founders, but there were some who weren't. I mean,
- 25:25Speaker 10: this Newport, California thing where the Antifa all got together
- 25:30Speaker 10: to loot the town. I mean, you know, that's the
- 25:32Speaker 10: kind of thing that's going to have to be confronted.
- 25:35Speaker 10: But what struck me locally was ma'm Donnie, he really
- 25:40Speaker 10: hates America. I mean he really does. And you know,
- 25:45Speaker 10: you got the guy with the smile and he's up there,
- 25:48Speaker 10: he's jumping into fountains or whatever he's doing, but he
- 25:53Speaker 10: really despises this country. And when you listen to what
- 25:58Speaker 10: he said, I'm going to use it on the nose
- 25:59Speaker 10: spind tonight. When you really listen, it is so close
- 26:05Speaker 10: to mao Ze Tongue and what Mal believed. It's frightening.
- 26:12Speaker 10: And I know that ma'am Donnie studied Mao and Stalin
- 26:18Speaker 10: and all of these people, and along with his godfather
- 26:22Speaker 10: Bernie Sanders. I mean, these people are out for vengeance, Simone,
- 26:28Speaker 10: and I don't think they're gonna win, but boy, they're
- 26:32Speaker 10: going to try, and to be elected mayor of the
- 26:35Speaker 10: nation's largest city is a frightening occurrence when you really
- 26:39Speaker 10: understand the guy's psychology.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Yeah, he I heard him a couple of times. He
- 26:44Speaker 2: used the word decommodify housing. Decommodify. That's an actual Karl
- 26:48Speaker 2: Marx word.
- 26:50Speaker 10: Yes, he is very steeped in that. And it's because
- 26:55Speaker 10: of his father. So if you trace them back as
- 26:58Speaker 10: we have, because I always want to know why people
- 27:02Speaker 10: do what they do. It's not enough for me to
- 27:04Speaker 10: know what they do. I want to know why they
- 27:07Speaker 10: do it. And if you look back at his father
- 27:11Speaker 10: as an academic, his father is the same way. Now,
- 27:17Speaker 10: why you would stay here in this country when Donnie
- 27:23Speaker 10: was born in Kenya? Okay, if it's so bad, you
- 27:28Speaker 10: can go a lot of places.
- 27:30Speaker 6: You go back to.
- 27:30Speaker 10: Nairobi, okay. But no, they have to come here and
- 27:36Speaker 10: try to under underpin our entire system because there are
- 27:45Speaker 10: poor people and there'll always be poor people always if
- 27:50Speaker 10: you read the Bible, and the poor will always be
- 27:52Speaker 10: with us for one reason or another. But what Mandanni
- 27:57Speaker 10: and his father are selling is it's the regular folks,
- 28:02Speaker 10: the cops, the teachers, all the people. I grew up
- 28:06Speaker 10: in Levittown where the problem where the problem because we're
- 28:12Speaker 10: not compassionate enough, or we don't give enough to the
- 28:17Speaker 10: folks who don't make it. And that's communism.
- 28:22Speaker 2: Yeah, Now, nobody has more poor people. In fact, everybody's poor.
- 28:25Speaker 2: And Uganda, it's the worst place in the world. That's
- 28:28Speaker 2: where he's from. Why doesn't he ever complain about you Ganda?
- 28:30Speaker 2: Have you ever heard him say a bad word about that?
- 28:32Speaker 10: I think he has, you know, Thanks for correcting me.
- 28:34Speaker 10: I thought it was Kenyananda. They're adjacent countries, but they're
- 28:39Speaker 10: the same, the poverty, tribalism, on and on and on
- 28:43Speaker 10: and on. I just don't get Look, I understand power,
- 28:49Speaker 10: and part of confronting America is the absolute corruption that
- 28:54Speaker 10: occurs when a human being gets power and you use
- 28:59Speaker 10: it in a way that harms other people. Nancy Pelosi
- 29:04Speaker 10: is a great example of that, tremendous. Now, you can
- 29:08Speaker 10: make an argument that Trump might be in that category.
- 29:11Speaker 10: But Trump has always had power since he's eight years old. Okay,
- 29:17Speaker 10: so there's nothing new to him. But once Belosi and
- 29:22Speaker 10: Bernie Sanders, and Bernie Sanders is the worst. Okay, Once
- 29:27Speaker 10: they tasted that power. Ain't no stopping him.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Now, Yeah, you're America's best selling historian. Is this happened
- 29:39Speaker 2: in the past, in America's history where there was a
- 29:41Speaker 2: rise in communism on the left. Is this something?
- 29:44Speaker 10: Yeah, it happened in the Great Depression in the late
- 29:49Speaker 10: nineteen twenties early nineteen thirties, when people just didn't have
- 29:53Speaker 10: enough to eat, and so they were lined up to
- 29:56Speaker 10: get food and the Hooverville's they didn't anywhere too, They
- 30:03Speaker 10: couldn't rent an apartment, they couldn't do anything. So there
- 30:06Speaker 10: was a rising socialism communism movement there, led by a
- 30:10Speaker 10: man named Eugene Debs CBS, and it didn't go anywhere
- 30:16Speaker 10: because Roosevelt. President Roosevelt saw it coming and then instituted
- 30:24Speaker 10: all the entunnement programs. So the all of the social
- 30:30Speaker 10: security and the safety nets came in under Roosevelt because
- 30:33Speaker 10: Roosevelt said, oh, you know, Hoover screwed it up so bad,
- 30:38Speaker 10: and we have so many people walking around and they
- 30:41Speaker 10: can't make a living and they can't even feed their families.
- 30:44Speaker 10: We have to do it. And that's what happened. That's
- 30:47Speaker 10: that's what aborted that original communist movement. But now it's back,
- 30:53Speaker 10: and it's back because of high tech. See all these gazillionaires,
- 30:58Speaker 10: they made their money inventing things, and it's just beginning.
- 31:03Speaker 10: Because AI, you're gonna have another set of billionaires off
- 31:06Speaker 10: that and the regular folks aren't going to be inventing
- 31:12Speaker 10: what Elon Musk is inventing. Okay, but that's capitalism. If
- 31:16Speaker 10: you have a talent, if you have something an ability
- 31:20Speaker 10: that you can market a product that three hundred and
- 31:23Speaker 10: fifty people want, you're going to be a billionaire. But
- 31:27Speaker 10: under communism you get have that same talent and the
- 31:31Speaker 10: government will take away all of the profits that you make.
- 31:35Speaker 10: They'll just take it. So you decide what kind of
- 31:39Speaker 10: system you want to live under.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Yeah, before we runt of time, Graham Platiner, he's finished. Right,
- 31:47Speaker 2: We're not going to see him again, are we.
- 31:49Speaker 4: Now?
- 31:49Speaker 10: He's done and should be. And I don't know about
- 31:54Speaker 10: this case. I'm looking at I'm having my staff look
- 31:57Speaker 10: at it now because remember this is a plague upon
- 32:02Speaker 10: the land. Now, the accusation is conviction or no due process,
- 32:07Speaker 10: and that's another communist tenant. So if she in China
- 32:13Speaker 10: says you're guilty, you're guilty. There's no feal process. That's it.
- 32:18Speaker 10: You're guilty. It doesn't like you. You're going now. Platinum
- 32:23Speaker 10: is such a bad guy, such a horrendous individual, that
- 32:28Speaker 10: I'm not even cutting him any slack, all right for
- 32:31Speaker 10: due process, I'm not, but I'd like to know a
- 32:35Speaker 10: little bit more about the incident that's going to ruin him,
- 32:39Speaker 10: because it will.
- 32:41Speaker 2: No, we're glad to be rid of him, hey, right,
- 32:44Speaker 2: but just by out of time. I love the new book.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Bill O'Reilly's new book is Confronting America. Can people pre
- 32:49Speaker 2: order it now?
- 32:50Speaker 10: Yeah, you go to Bill O'Reilly dot com and you
- 32:53Speaker 10: can pre order. It'll be out September fifteenth, and you
- 32:56Speaker 10: know it's coming up fast, and I think people will
- 32:59Speaker 10: enjoy and at least give you a conversational structure about
- 33:05Speaker 10: what I've seen and all of this that I put
- 33:09Speaker 10: in the book is absolutely one hundred percent rock solid true.
- 33:14Speaker 10: I didn't have to analyze, I didn't have to investigate.
- 33:17Speaker 10: I didn't have to do any of that because I
- 33:19Speaker 10: was standing there as the guy pointing to sixteen at
- 33:24Speaker 10: my head. I mean, I don't need any research on that.
- 33:28Speaker 10: If you pull a drigger I'm dead, and I said
- 33:32Speaker 10: to the guy, I said, period decent noticebarre journalists, don't
- 33:37Speaker 10: shoot it. Kid was maybe seventeen maybe, and this was
- 33:42Speaker 10: in the Argentine rebellion against the Falkland defeat. So I'm
- 33:48Speaker 10: proud of the book. It's a good way. I don't
- 33:50Speaker 10: know if I'm going to do any more books or not,
- 33:52Speaker 10: but if I don't, it's a good way to go out.
- 33:55Speaker 2: You got plenty of books, but this is quite a book.
- 33:57Speaker 2: You should get it that. There's a lot of riveting
- 33:59Speaker 2: stuff in there. It's confronting America. Bill O'Reilly's latest book
- 34:03Speaker 2: and the podcast will do it live. If you didn't
- 34:05Speaker 2: see the latest with Glenn Beck. It's quite a conversation
- 34:08Speaker 2: and you can get everything at Bill O'Reilly dot com.
- 34:11Speaker 2: Just go to Bill O'Reilly dot com, the YouTube channel
- 34:15Speaker 2: and Bill O'Reilly dot com. Bill O'Reilly, congratulations on the book.
- 34:19Speaker 2: Thanks for being with us guys.
- 34:21Speaker 10: Me Mark really appreciate it.
- 34:23Speaker 2: I take care. Hey, don't forget Buck and Clay Noon Today,
- 34:27Speaker 2: excellent show at twelve noon. And don't forget Curtis is back.
- 34:31Speaker 2: He's here every weekday morning. It's Curtis Leewa, Larrymnty six
- 34:35Speaker 2: to ten on seven to ten wor.
- 34:39Speaker 10: Mister New York Mark Simon seven ten wor.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Hey, just bear in mind. You got a scary situation
- 34:47Speaker 2: going on forty second Street between second and third used
- 34:52Speaker 2: to be the Pfiser building. It's an empty skyscraper. They
- 34:55Speaker 2: were doing construction work rebuilding the building, and support beams
- 34:59Speaker 2: started to the buckle floors caved in. The building's unstable.
- 35:03Speaker 2: This is a big skyscraper. Forty seconds between second and third,
- 35:07Speaker 2: the whole building is unstable. I don't know what that means.
- 35:09Speaker 2: This could take a long time and it's not going
- 35:12Speaker 2: to be easy to fix. So forty second between second
- 35:16Speaker 2: and third is closed. I imagine we'll remain closed for
- 35:19Speaker 2: quite a while, so avoid that area if you're driving.
- 35:24Speaker 2: It's going to be not bad. Not bad. Today it's cloudy,
- 35:27Speaker 2: but maybe one more shower then that's it should be
- 35:30Speaker 2: a beautiful day tomorrow. If you want to play hooky,
- 35:32Speaker 2: tomorrow's the day. Hey, we're out of time. I'll be
- 35:35Speaker 2: back tomorrow ten to noon. I hope you will be too.
- 35:38Speaker 2: Take care. I'll talk to you later. Seven to ten
- 35:40Speaker 2: wo
