  Yesterday we began a two part series with the title Empowered.

  The goal is to help us in line with the
• 39:37
  team for this conference, the Power of the Highest. We've
• 39:41
  been looking at everything around the subject of power and
• 39:46
  the anointing, and we'll be having the second part to
• 39:49
  that series right now. So for a quick recap, we
• 39:52
  took part one yesterday, considering for a text first Chronicles
• 39:56
  chapter twenty nine eleven and wealth. We considered the subject
• 40:03
  of power, authority, and jurisdiction. The goal in our discussion
• 40:07
  yesterday was to be able to help put a biblical
• 40:12
  theological framework for our understanding the subject of power and
• 40:18
  the anointing. And I did tell us that for most people,
• 40:23
  they know that it is in our prophetic destiny as
• 40:26
  believers to work in power. Litered across the scripture, from
• 40:30
  the Old Testament to the Life of Jesus as captured
• 40:34
  in the Gospels, and then to the Book of Arts,
• 40:36
  extending to the Epistles, we see that the subject of
• 40:40
  power is not a new concept for anyone who is
• 40:43
  in Christ. It's in a prophetic destiny. Among the many
• 40:46
  ways believers were equipped to manifest the life of victory
• 40:52
  and to fulfill and birth the will of God upon
• 40:55
  the earth is the access to divine power. But then
• 41:00
  we said, how that so many people do not really
• 41:03
  understand power. We desire it, we talk about it, we
• 41:07
  sing about it, we wish to work in the reality
• 41:10
  of it. But to the average believer, especially the un enlightened, one,
• 41:14
  understanding of power is very, very vague. And so yesterday
• 41:18
  the Lord began to help us to have certain redefinitions
• 41:22
  of concepts. We took a few yesterday. Number one was
• 41:26
  the definition of power itself, and I told us two definitions.
• 41:30
  Very quickly. Let me recap. We said, power is the
• 41:33
  capacity to influence outcomes. You still remember that anyone who
• 41:37
  has the were without the capacity to influence any outcome,
• 41:41
  especially negative outcomes, that person has power. Number two, we
• 41:47
  define power as the force that compels compliance. When an
• 41:53
  instruction is given, it takes power to maintain compliance. Am
• 41:58
  I right on that? So, for instance, if your governor
• 42:00
  gives an instruction that there should be, say a weekly sanitation,
• 42:05
  he may not have the physical power to force everyone
• 42:07
  to comply. But then there are law enforcement agents. They
• 42:12
  are called are we together? So he uses authority, that
• 42:16
  delegation that's been given to him politically, and he passes
• 42:19
  a degree, and then that decree now rests upon the
• 42:22
  hands of those who have power and authority. They go
• 42:25
  about enforcing that the decree that was made is kept
• 42:29
  to the latter. So power is defined as the capacity
• 42:34
  to influence outcomes and then the ability to enforce the
• 42:40
  force that compares compliance. We define authority as our next concept,
• 42:46
  as the legitimacy to use power, the legitimacy to use power.
• 42:52
  Administering power so that it becomes legal or legitimate is
• 42:56
  called authority. And I did observe yesterday for those of
• 43:00
  you who are here and followed that you can have power,
• 43:04
  but if you do not have authority alongside that power,
• 43:08
  your use of it is illegitimate. Away together, I give
• 43:12
  you an instance. If an ambrober has a goun versus
• 43:15
  a military man having a gun, why do you run
• 43:19
  away from the arm robber? And you rejoice when you
• 43:21
  see the military man holding a gun because the amb
• 43:24
  robber has power, the instrument that can kill, but it
• 43:28
  does not have the legitimate ground to use it. Whereas
• 43:32
  the man who is a military man has been trained
• 43:35
  and are credited by an institution. You still remember, And
• 43:38
  so authority is the legitimacy. No body is given power alone. No,
• 43:46
  you must have power, and then it goes along with authority,
• 43:51
  the legitimacy to use it. And I told you that
• 43:54
  the moment you bring the concept of authority, two others
• 43:58
  supporting concepts come. Number one is the concept of jurisdiction.
• 44:04
  Every authority is with respect to a pre defined jurisdiction
• 44:10
  away together. So the Nigerian passport gives you power and
• 44:15
  authority to work within the Nigerian geo political space freely
• 44:22
  without being harassed. You don't need a visa to move
• 44:25
  from Portacod to Abuja, to Legos, to my degree, everywhere
• 44:30
  within the Nigerian space. Your passport is your authorization. Am
• 44:34
  I right on that. But as soon as you step
• 44:36
  out of Nigeria, say to go to us, even though
• 44:40
  you have a valid passport, you will need and not
• 44:43
  that system of authorization that extends your stay to a
• 44:48
  jurisdiction beyond that which your passport allows. Am I right on.
• 44:51
  That prays the name of the Lord. So if you
• 44:54
  discuss the subject of authority you must have, you must
• 44:58
  also understand jurishim. So jurisdiction is defined as the sphair
• 45:05
  within which the use of power becomes legitimate, outside of
• 45:10
  which it becomes illegitimate to use or administer power. And
• 45:15
  I bring this concept because in understanding authority, many people
• 45:21
  have not taken the time to understand the jurisdictional component
• 45:25
  of the believers authority. It's the reason why Jesus made
• 45:28
  a profound statement. Is said all authority in heaven and
• 45:33
  on earth. He mentioned the jurisdiction has been given on
• 45:36
  to me. In Philippians two, from verse five, reading to eleven,
• 45:40
  the Bible says, where for God that so highly exalted
• 45:42
  him and given are you saying?
• 45:45

  Speaker 1: I did tell us yesterday that authority is by delegation.
• 45:50
  Authority is conferred upon someone by an entity higher than you.
• 45:56
  That is the reason why God cannot have authority. You
• 45:59
  understand that now the concept of authority does not exist
• 46:03
  with God. He is the one who gives authority, but
• 46:06
  he cannot have authority. He has absolute power. If God
• 46:10
  has authority, it then means there is a government above
• 46:13
  him that confirmed that authority on him, and that supervises
• 46:18
  what he is doing. The concept of authority is that
• 46:21
  the government that conversed upon you must also be the
• 46:24
  supervisory system as your administer. Jesus only mentioned authority when
• 46:30
  he became a man, and the basis for that was
• 46:33
  that he submitted to the governing authority of the Father.
• 46:36
  Are we together? He acknowledged the authority of the Father.
• 46:41
  The centurion understood this, so he said, I am a
• 46:43
  man under authority. Remember we discussed yesterday that the way
• 46:47
  we resist the devil is to first verify our authority.
• 46:51
  It says, submit under the mighty hand of God. When
• 46:55
  you are sure that your submission to the governing authority
• 46:57
  of Heaven is intact, then you can, on legitimate ground
• 47:01
  resist the devil, and he will flee. He will not
• 47:05
  flee from you because of you. He will flee because
• 47:08
  of the authority that defends you. Are we together? That
• 47:12
  was your understanding of the centurion, He said, for I
• 47:15
  am a man on the authority, and because of that,
• 47:18
  I also have soldiers under me. And I say to one,
• 47:22
  on the strength of my submission, go and he go
• 47:25
  with Come and he comment, And he said, Jesus, you too,
• 47:29
  I know you are under the authority of the Father.
• 47:31
  So speak the word. Only the government you represent will
• 47:35
  back it. And that's why Jesus looked at him and said,

  I've not found this faith. I have not find this

  kind of understanding. No, not in Israel. He said, since
• 47:44
  you believe that, go your child is made whole. And
• 47:47
  the Bible says that self same hour the child was healed.

  You believe that, say amen, praise the name of the Lord.

  Now I time that yesterday. Furthermore, to define the scope
• 47:58
  of the believers authority, defining the jurisdiction. I told you
• 48:03
  believers don't have power everywhere and anyhow. For a start,
• 48:07
  we do not have absolute authority. No we don't. No,
• 48:10
  we don't. When the Bible says God has put all
• 48:13
  things under his feet, it's a contextual statement. Are we
• 48:17
  together praise the name of the Lord. So here's how
• 48:20
  the organogram of authority works. God the Father has absolute power,
• 48:26
  does not have authority because there's no other entity higher
• 48:29
  than him. Are we together? Now, Jesus the Son submits
• 48:34
  to the authority of the Father, even though he is
• 48:37
  God himself. But for the for the operational, the purpose
• 48:42
  of redemption, He's submitted to the Father, and so he derived,
• 48:46
  according to scripture, his authority from the Father. Are we together?
• 48:50
  The Church in partnership with the Holy Spirit submits to
• 48:54
  the governing authority of the Son, that at the name
• 48:59
  of Jesus, ever free name of things in heaven, of
• 49:02
  things in the earth, of things under the earth, will
• 49:04
  bow and confess that Jesus is Lord. The earth is
• 49:08
  the Lord's and its fullness thereof. Are we together? So
• 49:11
  the Church in partnership with the Holy Spirit. Are we together?
• 49:18
  They come under the submission of the Sun, and then
• 49:21
  the creation comes under the authority of the Church. That's
• 49:24
  the authority structure. The moment, creation will not submit to
• 49:29
  you if you are not submitted first to the Holy
• 49:32
  Ghost and then to the Christ. Are we together? Now?
• 49:34
  The submission between Jesus and the Father is intact. He's
• 49:38
  already said it again and again, even while Jesus walked
• 49:41
  upon the earth. And then at the coronation, the Lord
• 49:44
  said to my lord, he is called the Lord. But
• 49:47
  he said to my Lord, both of them are lords.
• 49:50
  But the Lord Absolute or Power, said to my Lord,
• 49:54
  sit down at my right hand until I make your
• 49:57
  enemies your foodstool. Are we together? Church, submitting to the
• 50:01
  Christ through the agency of the Holy Spirit, can command
• 50:05
  and compel creation to come on that street. So most
• 50:09
  people do not understand this authority structure. And we just
• 50:12
  speak to the realm of the Spirit, carelessly saying that
• 50:15
  spirit should bow to us. And like the sons of Skiva,
• 50:18
  they say, Jesus, we know, Paul, we know, but we
• 50:22
  do not see you fit into that divine authority structure. Allelujah.
• 50:27
  And so I listed for us the jurisdiction of man's
• 50:31
  administering power. We said man was given Number one, he
• 50:35
  was giving the power to create. That's the first jurisdiction.
• 50:40
  Every time you are using spiritual power for creativity or
• 50:44
  to make that which was spoken manifest, you are using
• 50:48
  power legitimately. Number two, we're given the power over Satan
• 50:54
  and unclean spirits. Power over satan and unclean spirits Matthew
• 51:02
  ten to one, James four seven, power over Satan and
• 51:05
  unclean spirits. Number three, we're given the power to change
• 51:11
  negative circumstances like sicknesses, like diseases, like infremities. Is the
• 51:16
  reason why we can pray for the sick, because it's
• 51:19
  within the jurisdiction of the power and authority given to us.
• 51:23
  Are we together? Yes, I don't need to say God,
• 51:26
  do you want to heal? This person is part of
• 51:29
  the jurisdiction. When he gave me power, it was within
• 51:32
  the scope of that power to administer healing to the sick.
• 51:37
  Are we together now? So I administer healing to the
• 51:40
  sick with confidence, knowing that I am not using power
• 51:44
  outside of its jurisdiction. And then I told us fourthly,
• 51:50
  that's not all. But at least this four are enough
• 51:53
  for your understanding. We have power to give life. You
• 51:56
  still remember the Bible says, out of our belly will
• 51:59
  flow reverse of living waters. And according to Ezekiel forty seven,
• 52:04
  the ministry of that rivi is to give life. That
• 52:07
  every fish that that river torch came back to life.
• 52:11
  Away together, Remember the stream that flowed from the throne
• 52:15
  of God in revelations, and it produced twelve kinds of
• 52:19
  plants whose lives are for the healing of the nations.
• 52:24
  Away together, praise the name of the Lord. We have
• 52:26
  power to give life. And I told you that every
• 52:29
  time you minister life, you minister that's the word. Really,
• 52:34
  not give life, but minister life. You are able to
• 52:37
  minister out of the fullness that you have received of
• 52:39
  the life of God, the life of God that you
• 52:42
  have received. The Zoway life is shareable. You can share
• 52:46
  it and it does not deplete. Away together. The quality
• 52:49
  of that life can be felt by someone around you.
• 52:53
  It can manifest as healing, it can manifest as breakthrough.
• 52:57
  Away together, now, praise the name of the Lord. So
• 53:00
  we took time to understand that, and we'll take it
• 53:02
  from there and trust that God will help us in
• 53:05
  the name of Jesus Christ. I did tell us yesterday
• 53:08
  the assignment of power and authority. We stay that number one,
• 53:12
  even though there were three of them. If you care,
• 53:14
  I'll give you the other two very quickly. Then will continue.
• 53:16
  I hope you're learning. If you're learning, say amen. We

  said the assignment of power and authority in the Kingdom
• 53:22
  is to number one, give witness to the lordship of
• 53:25
  Jesus and by that bring many to salvation. That's where
• 53:30
  we left off yesterday. That the first and ultimate assignment
• 53:34
  of power, any and all kinds of spiritual empowerment. Whether
• 53:39
  it's power to get wealth, whether it is transformative power,
• 53:42
  it doesn't matter what dimension. Once you access power from God,
• 53:47
  the purpose number one is to give weakness to the
• 53:50
  lordship of Jesus and to bring many to salvation. Number
• 53:54
  two to advance the course of the Kingdom, God's agenda
• 53:59
  upon the earth. The second assignment of power in the kingdom,
• 54:03
  to advance the cause of the kingdom. Number three, to
• 54:07
  leave a victorious Christian life while serving the purposes of
• 54:12
  the kingdom. To leave a victorious Christian life. So every
• 54:16
  time you receive power from God, have this at the
• 54:19
  back of your mind that the first assignment of the
• 54:21
  power you have received is number one, to give witness
• 54:25
  to the lordship of Christ Asks four thirty three. With
• 54:28
  great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of
• 54:31
  the Lord Jesus Christ, and great grace was upon them
• 54:34
  all assignment Number two, All authority in heaven and earth
• 54:38
  has been given on to me, says go ye. Therefore
• 54:41
  make disciples, and so on and so forth to advance
• 54:44
  the Kingdom of God. Are we together God's program the
• 54:47
  revelation of Jesus within the cosmos. And then number three,
• 54:51
  to live a victorious life while you are about serving
• 54:54
  the purposes of the kingdom. God wants us to live victorious.
• 54:58
  And it takes power among the many resources that have
• 55:03
  been given the believer for your victory. It takes power. Now.
• 55:07
  Thanks be to God who causes us always to try
• 55:10
  on for instance, the power to get wealth, for instance,
• 55:15
  the lifting power, supernatural power in all of its ramifications.

  The power helps us to leave victorious Christian lives. Amen.

  Empowered Part two and for a text we'll look at

  at chapter one and verse eight. At one and verse eight,

  there's a lot to teach. What wherever we stop, we'll

  stop within the time allotted, and then we will pray.

  at the annointing. So the word annointing and power go

  hand in hand really from a Bible standpoint. Once you

  talk about the power of the Holy Ghost, it is

  generically known as the anointing. So you're talking about one

  and the same expression at one eight, you shall receive power.

  Everybody say I receive power, like you are understanding me,
• 56:15
  say I receive power. The moment he says you shall
• 56:19
  receive power, it means the capacity to reject it is
• 56:22
  still within you. He says, as many as received him,
• 56:26
  not everyone will receive him. He says, you shall receive power.

  After that the Holy Ghost has come upon you. So

  notice that power in the kingdom. It's a function of
• 56:36
  your encounter with the Holy Ghost. You cannot receive authentic
• 56:40
  spiritual power outside of your partnership with the Holy Ghost.

  You can have access to dimensions of God's power demonically
• 56:49
  without a relationship with God. No A relationship with the
• 56:52
  Holy Ghost, but you cannot access God's power for his function. Legitimately,
• 56:58
  the Holy Spirit is the coustodian of the power of
• 57:02
  the god Head. The Holy Spirit is the custodian of
• 57:06
  the power of the god Head. Every business of power
• 57:10
  among the Godhead resides within the office of the Holy Spirit.

  That's why even after Jesus had taught them for three
• 57:17
  and a half years, they were not ignorant. It was
• 57:19
  no longer a knowledge problem. He said, tarry until he

  be and dealed with power. When Gabriel was answering Mary

  from where we got our text, Look one thirty four

  thirty five, he comes to her with salutations of glad tidings,

  saying she were highly favored, and told her about the

  Everywhere you see authentic power from God, there must be

  the mention of the Holy Spirit. My cat Chapter three

  business of the annointiness of the Holy Spirit. Read the

  So spiritual power that is of God is by the

  Holy Ghost. You cannot access genuine spiritual power outside of

  a functional relationship with the Holy Spirit. Now you can

  access all that dimensions of God's power by routing a
• 58:41
  demonic means, familiar spirits, spirits of divination, all kinds of
• 58:46
  yokes of darkness. I told you all power belongs to God.
• 58:50
  If power works anywhere, even in the kingdom of darkness,
• 58:54
  it is God's power manipulated away together because his power
• 58:58
  is invested at levels. The highest level of God's power
• 59:03
  comes through intimacy. You will need a relationship to draw
• 59:06
  that dimension of power. But the second level of power
• 59:10
  does not need a relationship. It needs understanding and compliance
• 59:14
  to laws and principles. A second dimension of God's power
• 59:19
  is invested in laws and principles. You don't have to
• 59:22
  be a Christian for it to work for you. You
• 59:24
  don't need a relationship with Jesus Christ. Are we together now? Yes?

  Speaker 1: Reproduction happens because of the power of God in that process.

  And unfortunately, even if that process is engineered by rape,

  it will still work because the power of God is

  an ambroba, for instance, who goes to plant a farm

  or build a real estate, the building will still be built.

  It is by the power of God. But that that

  came from a corrupt heart that did not glorify God.

  The only process in the believer's life that glorifies God

  is the process that is engineered and sustained by the

  Holy Spirit. Only the Holy Spirit in partnership with the

  believer in function can bring glory to God. Any other

  spirit that comes in partnership with the human spirit, even

  if the results are accurate, the glory it cannot glorify God.

  Are we together? Yes, so that as believers, you don't

  just focus on results. In the Kingdom, we don't focus

  on results. We focus on the glorification of the Christ.

  So the results can be accurate. But if it is

  sponsored by a spirit outside of the Spirit of God,

  even if the results are accurate, If I use the
• 1:00:45
  spirit of divination and I profess side to you. Even

  if the prophecy is right, you may seem to be happy,

  but God is not glorified. Because for God to be glorified,

  the spirit of God are. We together must be the

  initiator and the sustainer of that process. We is learning

  so that you don't just chase everything around because it

  produces results. The slave girl in Acts eighteen she used

  the spirit of divination that was invoked in her, and

  she prophesied accurately, but it was by the devil, and

  God could not be glorified. In my life, be glory fi,

  You get the glory, you get the praise, you take

  And yet somebody was discipling them. That's why they were

  So when you are saved, you don't inherit maturity, even

  if you are seventy years before getting born again. Growth

  in the Kingdom is not a gift, is a process.

  You don't inherit your crowns. Outside of the Kingdom. When

  and then you begin to function by the spirit of God.

  You have access, but you must know how to translate

  right on that? You need to know how to carry

  that access that check to the bank. You don't carry

  the wrong way of transforming or translating the access to

  Some of you like money. Praise God. I said one million.

  ten million to pay for your rent, and you carry

  big believer, the annointing is more than legitimate or making

  it legitimate is also the empowerment that equips you to

  in a human or material vessel to accomplish his purposes

  I have to rush two reasons very quickly. The first

  reason why we need the anointing or empowerment from heaven.

  Number one is to subdual the forces of darkness that

  fight against our destinies and the advancement of the kingdom.

  Write that down please. The first reason why we need

  the anointing, why we need supernatural empowerment, is to sob

  duil the forces. There are demonic forces that fight the

  fulfillment of our destinies and the advancement of God's program.

  And it takes the anointing to establish in experience the
• 1:13:19
  victory that is in Christ, that was wrought in Christ

  has been finished in Christ as a spiritual reality. However,

  we must have the wherewithal to stamp that victory. Because

  if there's anything you need to learn earlier about Satan

  is that he says top born spirit. He does not

  just yield because the Bible says so, it will take

  Why do we need the anointing? Some sixty six and

  why we need the anointing is to subdue the forces

  of darkness that fight against our destinies, the fulfillment of it,

  why do we need the anointing to fulfill our God

  given assignments effectively? The second reason to fulfill our God

  given assignments effectively. I would always observe in teens about

  the Anointing that skill, intellect, and all these human resources

  are wonderful, but they are not sufficient enough to fulfill

  your God ordained assignment. There are times who can be

  so skillful, you can have all of the human connections,

  But the truth is that God assignment require his dimension

  of empowerment. Is someone learning now pray the name of
• 1:16:06
  the Lord. The second reason why we need empowerment is
• 1:16:11
  to fulfill our God given assignments. Praise the name of

  the Lord. Now, just for your knowledge, the anointing is

  in various levels, and the anointing is in various dimensions.

  And not do a longer explanation on that. I just

  needed for your knowledge. When we say the anointing is

  in various levels, please look at me. Let me explain

  that for you. So you can have three people. Let

  me use your mind for one moment. Call the man

  at sale level five or six, and brother C may

  just be starting at level one or two. Truth is,

  they all have the healing anointing, but they cannot breath

  the same dimension of possibilities. Brother A may not be
• 1:17:16
  able to get someone out of the wheelchair but he
• 1:17:19
  actually has a healing anointing. So his assignment is not
• 1:17:22
  to look for the healing annointing, but to grow in
• 1:17:25
  the anointing to the level where certain possibilities can happen.

  Another example, let me try money to see if it
• 1:17:34
  works for you. So back, Brother A has one billion,
• 1:17:37
  brother B has ten million, brother C has one million.
• 1:17:41
  All of them have money. Am I right on that?

  But can they buy the same thing? No. For the

  one person with a billion, he can purchase a number
• 1:17:49
  of houses, probably just pick them like that. He can travel,

  he can do whatever. The brother who has ten million

  is like saying, doctor, how many of you know that?

  You can see five people called doctors, But when you

  examine closely, one may be a consultant pediatrician. Am I

  not necessarily mean you can do everything. You can receive

  a dimension that is still foreign to your life. Having

  the healing anointing can empower your body does not mean

  you have the power to prosper. So you can have
• 1:20:11
  the healing anointing healing the sick. That's a dimension, and
• 1:20:14
  truthfully speaking, you can be so bankrupt in another area.

  When God calls for meetings like this, the Holy gooes

  breaks upon you as you are listening. He will check
• 1:20:24
  what dimension of the anointing is missing in your life.

  So he's not only increasing levels, He's introducing virgin dimensions.

  Who is receiving now? So that an area in your life?

  How do you know the annointing is at working a
• 1:20:39
  man by the possibilities that follow? There are possibilities that

  if they are not captured in your life, the grace

  for it is not there fullstop. You can assume it

  is there, but If it is there, it is there.

  be a sincere person. You have the grace and the anointing.

  You are prophesying, but you don't have the grace for revelation.

  You can see what you cannot teach. So people are

  not edified. They come and receive miracles and go back

  because you can't plant them in the world. You need

  that dimension of the grace of God. If someone learning

  now prays the name of the Lord, a man who

  is learning goodness now. Broadly speaking from an operational standpoint,

  there are two kinds of anointings. And this is where

  we dwell tonight, and then we'll pray. I hope someone

  what the Bible caused the anointing within. And then there's

  what the Bible caused the anointing upon and will teach

  the body of Christ. So you can have someone receive

  their anointing for signs and wonders. But the inner work

  of transformation, the inner work of purification, consecration, has not
• 1:25:13
  worked in the person. So you find many anointed people
• 1:25:16
  with no character. As soon as they stand on stage,

  they become a casualty, a little exposure with fame, money, whatever,

  and they fall like a pack of card. Let me

  tell you this. A major part of the Holy Spirit

  work is not empowering you for service, is doing that

  inner work within you so that you confirm in experience

  past us. Don't be in a horry to lay hands

  on people. Don't be in a horry to ordain and
• 1:25:45
  release people. Let them go through a short process in
• 1:25:50
  partnership with the Holy Spirit to build character, spiritual for medability,

  so that when you annoying them, they become a blessing.

  and you graduate yourself from the school of the Spirit

  be a disservice to your own self. For some of you,

  as you are hearing me right now, the Holy Spirit

  is diagnosing to you or to someone you know. You

  can find a man, a woman, highly anointed, highly charismatic.
