- 0:00Speaker 1: Want more Treehouse, check out our YouTube exclusive shows at
- 0:02Speaker 1: YouTube dot com slash at Treehouse on air.
- 0:22Speaker 2: It is time leave your worries outside and laugh with
- 0:27Speaker 2: us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Maley along with Trey
- 0:31Speaker 2: Trendhome and Raj Sharma. Today what does hanging out the
- 0:39Speaker 2: side of your best friend flight on? I thirty? Also
- 0:46Speaker 2: what's Thanksgiving having store for our very own Trey Trendhome.
- 0:51Speaker 2: And today we will start off with it at a
- 0:53Speaker 2: place where we meant to be yesterday, and that is
- 0:58Speaker 2: the old film The Apple Dumpling Gang. We did not
- 1:02Speaker 2: have time to get that story yesterday inside the Treeo,
- 1:05Speaker 2: so we're going to start with it today. Trey, how
- 1:09Speaker 2: how can you describe The Apple Dumpling Gang to our
- 1:13Speaker 2: dear friend Raj who has never seen it? Oh that's
- 1:20Speaker 2: pretty good. Actually, you actually looked a little bit like
- 1:25Speaker 2: don Knots right then.
- 1:26Speaker 1: I was to say, I mean don Knots Western, which
- 1:30Speaker 1: it was, uh, you know, slapstick Western. Yeah, it's been
- 1:38Speaker 1: so long since I've seen The Apple Dumpling and I
- 1:42Speaker 1: I want to say, wasn't Tim Conway in it too?
- 1:46Speaker 2: Oh? Maybe they were a force back in the day.
- 1:53Speaker 2: So the way I remember it is. I remember it
- 1:56Speaker 2: as one of those Disney films, or maybe just a
- 2:00Speaker 2: family film that I remember watching, you know, way back
- 2:04Speaker 2: in the day when we'd all be sitting around the
- 2:06Speaker 2: living room on a Friday night with our floor model television. Yeah, solidified,
- 2:15Speaker 2: it solidified into the carpet, as my dad dubbed everything
- 2:18Speaker 2: that we brought home to the video store. And this
- 2:22Speaker 2: is one of those movies I remember us watching. It's
- 2:25Speaker 2: the Apple Dumpling Game. Gotcha and Trey? You said it
- 2:31Speaker 2: did have Tim Conway.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Tim Conway, Bill Bigsby, Harry Morgan from Mash.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Bill Bigsby, like the Incredible Hulk.
- 2:40Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Wow, Yeah, let's see three Orphaned Children strike gold in
- 2:47Speaker 2: eighteen seventy eight, California, The Apple Dumpling. I may have
- 2:51Speaker 2: to add this to my rewatch list. It's been so long, really, what.
- 3:02Speaker 3: No with with that?
- 3:04Speaker 4: With that cast?
- 3:05Speaker 3: How can you not rewatch?
- 3:07Speaker 2: Oh my god, I'm looking on IMDb and it's giving
- 3:12Speaker 2: the more like this tab sounds like I think I've
- 3:18Speaker 2: seen all of these movies. When I was a kid.
- 3:20Speaker 2: This was easy. Like whenever we would hit the video
- 3:23Speaker 2: store on the way home, we would get at least
- 3:25Speaker 2: one of these more like this, Uh, Tales of the
- 3:31Speaker 2: Apple Dumpling Gang m Is that a sequel? No Deposit,
- 3:39Speaker 2: No Return? The Computer wore tennis shoes. H Don Knott's
- 3:49Speaker 2: The Reluctant Astronaut and Gus You remember Gus No the
- 3:57Speaker 2: field goal, the field goal kicking Donkey not talking about
- 4:02Speaker 2: Brandon Aubrey, although he's yeah, he's more of the goat.
- 4:08Speaker 4: No shakiest gun in the West.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Don't see that. That darned cat saw that. The absent
- 4:14Speaker 2: minded professor saw that. Herbie. Yeah, the old love bud
- 4:20Speaker 2: Son of Flubber. I saw all these movies as a kid.
- 4:25Speaker 4: Explains a lot. So sorry for you.
- 4:28Speaker 3: That just sounds awful.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Walt Disney's Swiss Family Robinson, Walt Disney's Escape to Which Mountain?
- 4:34Speaker 2: The original? Yeah, that's my childhood.
- 4:37Speaker 3: There was another, there's another Escape to Witch Mountain.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Yeah, The Rock did a remake of it. Oh god,
- 4:43Speaker 2: it turned into a pretty good meme. That's the best
- 4:47Speaker 2: thing that came out of the Rocks version of Escape
- 4:50Speaker 2: to Which Mountain was the him looking into the back
- 4:52Speaker 2: seat at two kids meme. That's pretty solid. Anyway, we're
- 4:56Speaker 2: getting sidetracked here. The whole reason was talking initially about
- 4:59Speaker 2: the Apple Dumpling Gang, But there's another gang you have
- 5:02Speaker 2: to watch out for. An adult toy store was robbed
- 5:07Speaker 2: of one thousand dollars worth of items. Police are searching
- 5:11Speaker 2: for the all female suspects on November fifth. Yeah. On
- 5:21Speaker 2: November fifth, twenty twenty five, the Shreveport Police Department launched
- 5:26Speaker 2: an investigation into a theft at the Hustler Hollywood Store.
- 5:30Speaker 2: According to authorities, three unidentified female suspects entered the store
- 5:35Speaker 2: and stole nearly one thousand dollars worth of adult merchandise.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Okay, desperate times called for desperate measures.
- 5:47Speaker 2: I guess. Suspects were last seen fleeing the scene in
- 5:52Speaker 2: a silver.
- 5:53Speaker 4: Sedan the Apple Dildo Gang.
- 5:58Speaker 3: The silvers of Sedan was vibrating the entire time.
- 6:08Speaker 2: The shakiest dildo in the West. Thousand dollars worth of
- 6:16Speaker 2: adult items from the halt from the Hustler Hollywood Store
- 6:20Speaker 2: in Sport.
- 6:21Speaker 3: That's a that's a lot of flashlights.
- 6:25Speaker 2: I don't think that was probably their product of choice
- 6:28Speaker 2: since these were all chicks. Uh. The Shreeveport Police Department
- 6:33Speaker 2: is encouraging anyone with information that could help identify the
- 6:36Speaker 2: suspects to contact them, although I will say the very
- 6:40Speaker 2: clear security camera photos should make that pretty easy for people.
- 6:45Speaker 5: To recognize them. Oh really, they weren't wearing masks their
- 6:53Speaker 5: first robbery. As a gang.
- 6:57Speaker 2: That starts to learn, they'll learn.
- 7:00Speaker 4: Find a group of really happy women.
- 7:03Speaker 3: If that bitchy coworker comes in and she's just the
- 7:06Speaker 3: happiest she's ever been, suspect.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Uh huh, you know she set it off.
- 7:14Speaker 3: Or turned it on.
- 7:20Speaker 2: So now I feel good that we could finally touch
- 7:22Speaker 2: on that very important crime story inside the treehouse. There
- 7:27Speaker 2: is another important crime story I want to touch on.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Do you guys know what a straphanger is? This is
- 7:35Speaker 2: unrelated to the first story where the three women knocked
- 7:38Speaker 2: over the adult toy store. I didn't know what a
- 7:44Speaker 2: straphanger was either until I saw this story. But to
- 7:47Speaker 2: be clear, I'm still assuming I know what it is.
- 7:51Speaker 1: But it's not something when Terra's just not in the
- 7:54Speaker 1: mood for you to play with.
- 7:57Speaker 2: We don't do that.
- 7:58Speaker 4: Try.
- 7:59Speaker 3: That's not the name she goes by. That's what you
- 8:02Speaker 3: have to call her, mistress, Miss Straphanger.
- 8:11Speaker 2: A now in New York, A New York City straphanger
- 8:17Speaker 2: was knifed in the gut for asking a fellow passenger
- 8:20Speaker 2: to stop talking loudly on a phone. That's according to police.
- 8:25Speaker 2: So I'm assuming strap hanger are the people that are
- 8:28Speaker 2: standing up hanging onto the straps on the subway. Technically,
- 8:33Speaker 2: I'm still assuming that that's what this is. There might
- 8:36Speaker 2: be some alternate version that I'm not aware of, but
- 8:38Speaker 2: I'm going with it for now. A subway writer was
- 8:42Speaker 2: knife in the gut on a Queen's train November twenty
- 8:45Speaker 2: second after asking another passenger to stop talking loudly on
- 8:49Speaker 2: his cell phone. The fifty four year old victim made
- 8:51Speaker 2: the request of the stranger while riding an E train
- 8:54Speaker 2: at the Jamaica Center slash Parsons Avenue station around eleven am.
- 9:03Speaker 3: That Wasnce Camp.
- 9:04Speaker 2: I mean, it really is like I remember, It's like
- 9:09Speaker 2: there have been There have been so many times, like
- 9:11Speaker 2: driving around in North Texas when I'd be like, upset
- 9:13Speaker 2: with someone for doing something, and then my wife would
- 9:15Speaker 2: be like, or I remember even as a kid, my
- 9:18Speaker 2: family would say the same thing, careful what you say,
- 9:23Speaker 2: careful how you gesture, because they might have a gun,
- 9:26Speaker 2: they might shoot you. And my initial thinking would be,
- 9:28Speaker 2: why would someone shoot somebody over something like, and here
- 9:32Speaker 2: we are, someone's talking to loudly on a phone on
- 9:34Speaker 2: a subway train. They say, hey, would you mind quieting
- 9:37Speaker 2: down a little bit? And they pull out a knife
- 9:38Speaker 2: and they stab the straphanger.
- 9:41Speaker 4: Mm hmm.
- 9:42Speaker 3: It's eight million people on an island that are, you know,
- 9:44Speaker 3: struggling with insane you know, housing costs and food costs,
- 9:49Speaker 3: and I mean just cost of living in general.
- 9:52Speaker 2: You know what, You're right, Rajah, if you want to
- 9:53Speaker 2: find a better apartment in New York, you might as well,
- 9:56Speaker 2: you know, stab a guy next to you on the train.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Maybe you can move into his place after he after
- 10:01Speaker 2: he dies.
- 10:04Speaker 3: But I was when my ex wife, Claire, when she
- 10:06Speaker 3: moved to New York. I was like, how's how's everything going?
- 10:10Speaker 3: Day three She's like, uh, somebody vomited on me on
- 10:13Speaker 3: the subway. And I was like, well, if that didn't
- 10:16Speaker 3: make you want to come back to LA then you're
- 10:20Speaker 3: gonna be fine there.
- 10:21Speaker 2: But I mean that's the kind of stuff that makes
- 10:23Speaker 2: me not even want to visit New York.
- 10:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, crazy stuff happens. There's a lot of
- 10:27Speaker 3: mental illness, Like he messed. I mean, it was the
- 10:31Speaker 3: wrong guy. Like the guy who was probably talking out loud,
- 10:34Speaker 3: was probably talking to himself. Yeah, so when you see
- 10:39Speaker 3: when you see the guy talking to himself when he's loud,
- 10:42Speaker 3: let him be loud.
- 10:44Speaker 2: You know what. I saw a lady like that at
- 10:45Speaker 2: the store the other day. Uh. We were just doing,
- 10:49Speaker 2: you know, some not fun shopping. It's the adult shopping
- 10:52Speaker 2: where you have to get like, you know, toilet trees
- 10:55Speaker 2: and a throw pillow and just stuff you don't want,
- 10:57Speaker 2: so you don't want to be there in the first place.
- 11:00Speaker 2: But then someone walks by who seemingly having a worse
- 11:02Speaker 2: day than me. Is this woman And I don't know
- 11:06Speaker 2: if she was on a bluetooth talking to someone on
- 11:08Speaker 2: the phone, I don't know because her hair was down.
- 11:10Speaker 2: But she was loud, and she was mad, and she
- 11:13Speaker 2: was swearing up a storm. And I didn't say an
- 11:16Speaker 2: effing thing to her because I noticed, like you pointed out, Raj,
- 11:21Speaker 2: I didn't see a phone in her hand. I didn't
- 11:23Speaker 2: see a phone anywhere around her. I didn't see a
- 11:25Speaker 2: bluetooth thing in her ear. For all I know, she
- 11:28Speaker 2: was having a full argument with somebody in her head
- 11:31Speaker 2: or someone she thought was with her. So I thought
- 11:35Speaker 2: it best not to tell her to be quiet. I
- 11:37Speaker 2: just went about my you know, necessity shopping.
- 11:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:42Speaker 3: I remember when I was living in Sherman Oaks outside
- 11:47Speaker 3: of Los Angeles, there was a guy who was who
- 11:51Speaker 3: would always bend next to this lamppost and yell at it,
- 11:55Speaker 3: I mean at the top of his lungs four hours
- 11:58Speaker 3: and I would have to walk every single time I
- 12:00Speaker 3: walk past them, just walked around. Didn't want to interrupt
- 12:03Speaker 3: the argument. Didn't want to you know, didn't want to
- 12:06Speaker 3: see what if I told him to be you know,
- 12:08Speaker 3: there's kids around, or be quiet, or you know there's
- 12:10Speaker 3: people trying to you know, eat on the patio there.
- 12:13Speaker 3: I don't know what he would be capable of doing,
- 12:15Speaker 3: so I didn't say anything.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Well, not only that, you don't know what the lamp
- 12:19Speaker 2: post said to him before you got there.
- 12:21Speaker 3: That is true. That is very true. And I've always
- 12:25Speaker 3: said this, like what if they're right? Like what if
- 12:27Speaker 3: whatever they're screaming they see what we don't see.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's so, you're right. I mean, that is
- 12:36Speaker 2: that is a wild premise to consider. Is when you
- 12:38Speaker 2: see someone seemingly talking to themselves, consider for just a moment,
- 12:43Speaker 2: what if you actually cannot see what they see.
- 12:47Speaker 3: Mm hmm. I think those are also called hallucinations.
- 12:52Speaker 2: I think they're also called schizophrenics.
- 12:57Speaker 1: This kind of thing would happen more often on Dart
- 12:59Speaker 1: if people wrote it.
- 13:01Speaker 2: That's true, And that's probably another reason why we don't
- 13:09Speaker 2: want to ride those things is because we've heard of
- 13:11Speaker 2: all the you know, horror stories from public mass transit
- 13:16Speaker 2: in other major metropolitan cities, whether it's the New York
- 13:19Speaker 2: subway system, whether it's the buses in LA whether it's
- 13:24Speaker 2: you know, the l in Chicago. It's like, it makes
- 13:27Speaker 2: us not want to do anything. Mass transit in Texas.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Dart loses so much money they figured out that it
- 13:34Speaker 1: would be cheaper for them to buy all the users
- 13:36Speaker 1: of it a Toyota Corolla, and just.
- 13:39Speaker 2: That's that's a pretty good deal we should take that.

- 16:15Speaker 2: is a holiday week. Thanksgiving is this week, and Trey Raj,
- 16:21Speaker 2: you guys are in new romantic relationships, so I'm wondering
- 16:26Speaker 2: what are your plans for Thanksgiving? Trey, Let's start with you.
- 16:30Speaker 2: You're in the newest, freshest relationship two months or not quite.
- 16:37Speaker 4: Yeah, just right about two months?
- 16:40Speaker 2: Are you and your new girlfriend going to be doing
- 16:43Speaker 2: anything together for Thanksgiving? Are any parents going to be
- 16:47Speaker 2: met for the first time?
- 16:49Speaker 4: No. I have told her.
- 16:53Speaker 1: She feels very similarly to me as far as the
- 16:58Speaker 1: holidays go.
- 16:59Speaker 4: Not a big fan Okay.
- 17:02Speaker 1: She completely understands why I've told her she will probably
- 17:04Speaker 1: never meet my mother, and uh no. She her family
- 17:11Speaker 1: evidently is a little on the on the screwier side,
- 17:14Speaker 1: so uh yeah, she she has a lot of She's like,
- 17:24Speaker 1: I don't want you meeting my mother.
- 17:25Speaker 4: I can't handle it. It's I.
- 17:29Speaker 1: It's too much. And I'm like, I completely understand. I'm
- 17:32Speaker 1: the same way.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Totally good.
- 17:34Speaker 4: We're all good.
- 17:35Speaker 2: That's great. So are you guys going to do anything
- 17:37Speaker 2: for Thanksgiving together?
- 17:40Speaker 1: We'll probably uh get together afterwards and uh, you know,
- 17:46Speaker 1: hold each other and talked about trauma.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Some good old fashioned trauma, bonding over trauma. Turkey. All right,
- 17:56Speaker 2: So for Thanksgiving, you'll do your family thing. She'll go
- 17:58Speaker 2: do her family thing, and then at the end of
- 18:00Speaker 2: the day, you can scissor together on the couch.
- 18:08Speaker 4: We actually, you know, it's funny.
- 18:10Speaker 1: She listens to the show and we were sitting on
- 18:13Speaker 1: the couch together, and she goes, how did Dan and
- 18:15Speaker 1: tea scissor on the couch?
- 18:17Speaker 4: And she's like, I don't get it.
- 18:20Speaker 2: First of all, we don't.
- 18:21Speaker 4: You're the one who came up with it.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Yeah, based on the input you gave. No, we don't
- 18:28Speaker 2: even have a scissor capable couch, so that's not a
- 18:32Speaker 2: thing for us. We have graduated, our marriage is graduated
- 18:36Speaker 2: into the dual recliner couch situation. So there's like a
- 18:39Speaker 2: little armrest thing in the middle, so there is no
- 18:43Speaker 2: you know, yin and yang on the couch with her
- 18:45Speaker 2: head on one end of mine on the other, and
- 18:47Speaker 2: our legs going side by side.
- 18:49Speaker 1: That's for the bedroom.
- 18:53Speaker 2: We do have a California king.
- 18:59Speaker 3: It's just some dressed up like a king from California
- 19:01Speaker 3: in the corner.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Yeah, you can't get the Texas King to do that.
- 19:07Speaker 2: That is a hard no from him. Yeah, no, there was.
- 19:13Speaker 2: I never mentioned any scissoring with you too. All I
- 19:16Speaker 2: said was, do you guys, when she's taken a nap,
- 19:18Speaker 2: would you take one on the opposite end of the
- 19:20Speaker 2: couch with her and your head on one her head
- 19:23Speaker 2: on the other. That's all I asked. You were the
- 19:25Speaker 2: one that made it weird by saying like and then
- 19:27Speaker 2: what we scissor?
- 19:28Speaker 3: Like?
- 19:28Speaker 4: No, well, it's like I've never like my feet would
- 19:31Speaker 4: be where her head is.
- 19:32Speaker 1: It's no, yeah, all right, fine.
- 19:39Speaker 2: I was just curious about the the couch. The couch
- 19:44Speaker 2: stuff and your Thanksgiving plans? All right, so trauma bonding
- 19:47Speaker 2: after Thanksgiving? Good on you, Raj, you and your new lady,
- 19:51Speaker 2: any special saving plans.
- 19:53Speaker 3: Nope, she's going to visit. She's gonna visit her family.
- 19:57Speaker 3: I'm gonna stay here, and uh, there's my friends are
- 20:04Speaker 3: throwing up a friends giving.
- 20:07Speaker 4: Thing, so well, I'm just going to go there and
- 20:10Speaker 4: do that.
- 20:12Speaker 2: I'm one hundred percent supportive of the friends giving thing
- 20:14Speaker 2: because I think we have normalized too much the family
- 20:18Speaker 2: get together, the obligation to hang out with in some cases,
- 20:23Speaker 2: people that you really don't want to be around very much. Right,
- 20:27Speaker 2: if you happen to love your family get along, great
- 20:29Speaker 2: more power to you. You do you please go enjoy
- 20:32Speaker 2: that time with them. Keep in mind that there are
- 20:35Speaker 2: some people in this planet that don't have that same
- 20:37Speaker 2: relationship with their family, and the whole friends giving thing
- 20:42Speaker 2: is a place you actually want to be as opposed
- 20:45Speaker 2: to the place that you have to be. So yeah,
- 20:48Speaker 2: I think it's much better to break bread and turkey
- 20:51Speaker 2: joints with people you really want to be around.
- 20:54Speaker 3: Well, growing up, Thanksgiving wasn't it, I mean, very traditional
- 20:57Speaker 3: Hindu house didn't celebrate a lot of Thanksgiving, but people
- 21:03Speaker 3: across the street, my best friend Sonny across the street.
- 21:06Speaker 3: His I would say grandmother, but he said memah, which
- 21:11Speaker 3: I can't stand those titles anyway, but his Mema would
- 21:16Speaker 3: start cooking at like four thirty or five o'clock in
- 21:18Speaker 3: the morning, and I was I would always get invited
- 21:21Speaker 3: to go over and the best food. It was incredible,
- 21:26Speaker 3: the spread that lady would make. And you know then
- 21:31Speaker 3: moved to you know, La, and years later moved to LA.
- 21:34Speaker 3: And when I met Claire, Claire's Australian, so they don't
- 21:38Speaker 3: even celebrate it, so it's not a big thing. So
- 21:40Speaker 3: we never even had to worry about together doing that
- 21:43Speaker 3: or so same thing like the friends giving things would
- 21:45Speaker 3: happen in La, so we would do that or comedy
- 21:47Speaker 3: shows or whatever. So no, she's gonna go do her
- 21:51Speaker 3: thing and I'll be here.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Is that a relief that you don't have to go
- 21:54Speaker 2: do that with her? Or do you feel a little
- 21:58Speaker 2: left out? Do you kind of wish he would have
- 21:59Speaker 2: wanted you there?
- 22:02Speaker 3: Uh? I don't think so. I think it's too I
- 22:05Speaker 3: don't know, I think it's too new.
- 22:07Speaker 2: How long have you guys been dating?
- 22:09Speaker 3: Three months ish? Somewhere in there.
- 22:12Speaker 2: That's part of the reason. Ah, that's not part of
- 22:14Speaker 2: the reason. That's the main reason I wanted to ask
- 22:16Speaker 2: you guys what your thanks Giving plans were because you're
- 22:18Speaker 2: in new relationships, Raj, like you said, you're about three months, Trey,
- 22:22Speaker 2: you're around the two month marks. That's pretty new as
- 22:25Speaker 2: far as you know time goes in a relationship and
- 22:28Speaker 2: whether but but it's just far enough. It's just far
- 22:33Speaker 2: enough to have a conversation about any sort of holiday plans.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Like if it was weeks instead of months like it, Trey,
- 22:40Speaker 2: if you were at two weeks and Raj you were
- 22:42Speaker 2: at three weeks, I don't think that's a conversation to
- 22:44Speaker 2: be had about the holiday. You're doing your own thing. No,
- 22:48Speaker 2: but two months and three months, Yeah, a little conversation
- 22:50Speaker 2: probably happens.
- 22:52Speaker 4: Honestly. That was one of the things.
- 22:55Speaker 1: We talked about on the front end because I was
- 22:57Speaker 1: really curious because if she had said, oh, my god,
- 23:00Speaker 1: the holidays are the most important time of the year
- 23:02Speaker 1: for me and I, that probably is a death mail
- 23:07Speaker 1: for our relationship because I have no fond memories of holidays,
- 23:11Speaker 1: and I would just assume they just not. Yeah, so
- 23:18Speaker 1: the fact that she, you know, her family stresses her out,
- 23:21Speaker 1: is especially her mother stresses her out, like my mother
- 23:24Speaker 1: stresses me out, and so common ground. So you know,
- 23:29Speaker 1: another another sign this one might.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Work yeah for me. And then for me it's different
- 23:38Speaker 2: because we all had challenging childhoods, right, there's no question
- 23:42Speaker 2: about that. We've talked about it a little bit here
- 23:45Speaker 2: and there on the show, especially when it comes to
- 23:49Speaker 2: our maternal relationships. But for me, I love the holidays
- 23:56Speaker 2: because that was sort of a time of rest, that
- 24:00Speaker 2: was an actual time of happiness enjoy in the household
- 24:04Speaker 2: when I was a kid, because I don't really remember
- 24:08Speaker 2: any savage beatings around Christmas or Thanksgiving. I mean usually
- 24:14Speaker 2: it was more normal family stuff like, yeah, I got
- 24:16Speaker 2: stuff from Santa and my grandfather, you know or as
- 24:19Speaker 2: Raj you hate the term, my Pap Bow smoked a
- 24:21Speaker 2: brisket for Thanksgiving as good stuff. It wasn't until into
- 24:25Speaker 2: the New Year before I got beat with all the
- 24:27Speaker 2: toys Santa brought me.
- 24:29Speaker 3: Yeah, he's a joke about that. I asked one time
- 24:32Speaker 3: for the Hot Wheels racetrack and then I got beat
- 24:37Speaker 3: with part of the track, and I never wanted to
- 24:39Speaker 3: do Christmas again because got my ass will buy it.
- 24:43Speaker 2: And it's a true thing. I mean if you look
- 24:46Speaker 2: at all the presents Santa brought you for Christmas. Yeah,
- 24:49Speaker 2: in that light, like, oh god, what if I get
- 24:52Speaker 2: beat with this in two months? Like that Castle of
- 24:55Speaker 2: Grace ball I got when I was six, all of
- 24:57Speaker 2: a sudden, doesn't sound so hot.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I would always ask for nurse stuff.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Well, you're just talking about physical beatings. The mental beating
- 25:08Speaker 1: my mother would subject me to for you know, just
- 25:12Speaker 1: holding it over my head she got me something I
- 25:15Speaker 1: might have enjoyed and threatening to take it back twenty times.
- 25:18Speaker 4: That that also, Yeah.
- 25:21Speaker 2: The psychological warfare deployed by your mother trade is truly
- 25:25Speaker 2: next level.
- 25:28Speaker 3: Yeah, Chris, My mother went to Iris Catholic nursing school
- 25:31Speaker 3: back in London, and so she would sing like, you know,
- 25:38Speaker 3: like Christmas hymns that they learned while they were there,
- 25:41Speaker 3: and she would make pancakes and Jimmy Dean's Hot sausage night.
- 25:44Speaker 3: So that was a good memory for me, Like nobody
- 25:47Speaker 3: got beat the day, everybody got fed.
- 25:49Speaker 4: And it was really nice.
- 25:51Speaker 2: No one got beat by a pack of Jimmy Dean sausage.
- 25:56Speaker 3: Although looking back, I wouldn't be surprised she never used
- 25:58Speaker 3: that one as a weapon. So maybe that's what I.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Bet missus Dean did a couple of times. Uh.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Yeah, And I think it's uh I think it's'd be
- 26:10Speaker 3: far too early to be like, hey, can I meet
- 26:13Speaker 3: you know, your your mother and father? Like that's a
- 26:16Speaker 3: little I think for me at least, like that's really early.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. So, like I said, for me, I like
- 26:22Speaker 2: the holidays because it was a time of no psychological
- 26:26Speaker 2: or physical you know, pain and beatings in the household.
- 26:31Speaker 2: But I will say that if someone asked me if
- 26:35Speaker 2: I wanted to, you know, grab one half of the wishbone,
- 26:39Speaker 2: there was a little moment of hesitancy there. But I
- 26:44Speaker 2: will say, while hesitant, I did make a hell of
- 26:47Speaker 2: a wish and it did get me through the holidays.

- 28:11Speaker 2: HBO or Cinemax free weekend. That's what we're doing on
- 28:15Speaker 2: our No, you don't remember that, tray.
- 28:18Speaker 4: I didn't have cable growing up.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Jesus Christ. Your mom was a just it just.
- 28:23Speaker 1: Wasn't like, uh yeah, I didn't get cable. So I
- 28:29Speaker 1: went to college.
- 28:31Speaker 2: Wow, Wow, my grandmother had it.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Part of that was living most of my high school
- 28:37Speaker 1: in Leonard and cable didn't.
- 28:40Speaker 4: Like.
- 28:40Speaker 1: The only way you had access to that was one
- 28:42Speaker 1: of those gigantic satellite dishes.
- 28:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Yeah, because that was back in the day when they
- 28:47Speaker 2: didn't have enough cable to get cable to everybody's house.
- 28:52Speaker 2: So that's where the big satellite dish that's the size
- 28:54Speaker 2: of a Volkswagen in your yard. And I had the
- 28:57Speaker 2: same thing tray like growing up in between Bartlesville and Nowada, Oklahoma.
- 29:03Speaker 2: That's where I was until the age of nine. So
- 29:06Speaker 2: we also didn't have cable, but if I went to
- 29:08Speaker 2: go visit my grandmother who lived in Tulsa, she had
- 29:11Speaker 2: the cable and she would have the free HBO weekends
- 29:14Speaker 2: or whatever. Then as she got older, eventually we got
- 29:16Speaker 2: cable because we lived with my grandmother and she was
- 29:18Speaker 2: definitely not going to not have cable, so those free
- 29:21Speaker 2: weekends were awesome. So that's what we're doing inside the
- 29:24Speaker 2: Treehouse this weekend. It's our Black Friday special Inside the Treehouse.
- 29:28Speaker 2: Deeper Inside the Treehouse. Go to Patreon dot com slash
- 29:31Speaker 2: Treehouse on air and take advantage of a free access
- 29:35Speaker 2: weekend inside the Treehouse.
- 29:38Speaker 4: I think.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Anyway, Okay, did you guys see this the other day?
- 29:44Speaker 2: The guy going down I thirty hanging out the side
- 29:48Speaker 2: of a car looked like he was doing some sort
- 29:51Speaker 2: of gymnastics routine hanging out the side of this passenger
- 29:55Speaker 2: vehicle on I thirty. So as the car. It's a
- 30:02Speaker 2: black Audi going down I thirty, and this guy is
- 30:06Speaker 2: hanging out the passenger side doing sort of like a
- 30:10Speaker 2: gymnastics type stuff, like the kind of thing you would
- 30:12Speaker 2: see a gymnast do. He's doing out the side of
- 30:15Speaker 2: this Audi, like maybe he's got his left hand on
- 30:19Speaker 2: the arm rest or not the armrest, but like the
- 30:21Speaker 2: os handle on the inside, and he's hanging outside outside
- 30:27Speaker 2: window of the car. He's in like a plank position.
- 30:30Speaker 2: His legs are out front, his face up, and he's
- 30:34Speaker 2: gesturing to the cars driving past. And then at one
- 30:37Speaker 2: point he changes position to be like in a normal
- 30:40Speaker 2: plank where he's head first and his feet are behind.
- 30:42Speaker 2: I mean, it shows amazing body control, There's no doubt
- 30:45Speaker 2: about that. Because this is on a highway and he
- 30:48Speaker 2: manages to get through his entire routine and then eventually
- 30:53Speaker 2: sits on the windowsill of the vehicle and then crawls
- 30:56Speaker 2: back in in a moving car.
- 31:03Speaker 3: Nobody's thinking maybe he's trying to escape, you.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Know, that's a good point. I don't know if anyone
- 31:12Speaker 2: thought that, like, maybe call the police. Maybe this is
- 31:15Speaker 2: a hostage situation.
- 31:18Speaker 3: His captain on the inside's got a gun, it's like routine.
- 31:21Speaker 3: Right now, I see, like I need to see your
- 31:23Speaker 3: upper body strength before I take you to the cabin.
- 31:28Speaker 2: You're right, It's like maybe the reason why he's hanging
- 31:30Speaker 2: out of his car is because his left hand is
- 31:32Speaker 2: still handcuffed to the interior of the vehicle and his
- 31:37Speaker 2: body is trying to make the letters S O S
- 31:41Speaker 2: to the other vehicles as they drive by. It's his
- 31:44Speaker 2: call for help. Yeah, I didn't think about that. That's
- 31:51Speaker 2: an excellent pointrage.
- 31:52Speaker 3: Everybody's like, look at this a hole and he was
- 31:55Speaker 3: just like somebody helped me.
- 31:59Speaker 2: And I'm one of those guys. I saw this. I
- 32:01Speaker 2: just thought this was some sort of vehicle stunting like
- 32:03Speaker 2: you remember parkour back in the day where people would
- 32:06Speaker 2: run from building the building and jump and twist and flip.
- 32:09Speaker 2: So like this just is this car poor?
- 32:14Speaker 1: I mean they are headed towards Mesquite. I think you
- 32:16Speaker 1: maybe he is calling asking for.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Help, please help me before we get there. If we
- 32:24Speaker 2: get to Misquite, you'll never see me again.
- 32:32Speaker 4: And rock Wall here screwed.
- 32:36Speaker 3: Don't hit eighty and get the forny.
- 32:38Speaker 2: Oh no, yeah, yeah, no you you you crossed that
- 32:43Speaker 2: bridge over to rock Wall or you go down before Anie,
- 32:45Speaker 2: watch out. Uh, there is one other possibility here, because
- 32:49Speaker 2: I don't know if you notice, because this guy is
- 32:51Speaker 2: hanging out the side. This guy is hanging out the
- 32:54Speaker 2: passenger side of the car. And if I remember correctly,
- 32:59Speaker 2: a scrub is a guy that can't get no love
- 33:01Speaker 2: for me, hanging out the passenger side of his best
- 33:03Speaker 2: friend's ride, trying to holler at me.
- 33:06Speaker 3: Yes, I was the whitest version of that song I've heard.
- 33:11Speaker 2: I don't know any other way, Raj.
- 33:16Speaker 1: I've heard country people do that song. You know, it
- 33:18Speaker 1: is an adaptation that had more rhythm than that one.
- 33:22Speaker 2: We can't all be Morgan Wallin, all right. The N
- 33:26Speaker 2: word doesn't roll out of my mouth as easily as
- 33:28Speaker 2: it does his.
- 33:30Speaker 3: You were singing like you were Morgan Freeman.
- 33:37Speaker 2: There was a time Andy and I would drive it.
- 33:41Speaker 2: So that sounds more like Forrest Gump. I can't get
- 33:43Speaker 2: away from it. Like here in this video, it does
- 33:48Speaker 2: look like he's hanging out the side. He looks like
- 33:50Speaker 2: he's hanging out the passenger side of his best friend's
- 33:52Speaker 2: ride trying to holler at someone going by.
- 33:56Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a please for help, and somebody get in
- 34:03Speaker 3: front of this car and slowed it, slow it down,
- 34:05Speaker 3: but idn get out here.
- 34:07Speaker 2: Honestly, at this point, I'm less impressed at his body
- 34:12Speaker 2: control hanging out the side of this audi and more
- 34:14Speaker 2: impressed about the lack of traffic on six point thirty five.
- 34:22Speaker 2: I mean that traffic is moving.
- 34:26Speaker 3: It's a holiday week. There's some people out of town,
- 34:28Speaker 3: you know, and like Troy said, nobody wants to go
- 34:34Speaker 3: that direction.
- 34:35Speaker 4: It's going to miss.
- 34:37Speaker 2: The traffic bill that's going the other way. For all
