- 0:00Speaker 1: The Mark Simon Show onor Well, it's Friday, it's the
- 0:11Speaker 1: final week. This is the last seven days of winter,
- 0:14Speaker 1: and then it's spring. Got that daylight saving time light
- 0:19Speaker 1: out till seven, seven to fifteen some nights. Well, we
- 0:23Speaker 1: got a lot to get to this hour, so we'll
- 0:26Speaker 1: get to Iran in a moment. To just update you
- 0:28Speaker 1: on the crazy mayor. This Mom Donnie is absolutely nuts.
- 0:34Speaker 1: I mean, we knew he was like a left wing socialist,
- 0:38Speaker 1: antisemitic all but on top of that, he's just nuts
- 0:42Speaker 1: the things he does. I mean, it's just in the
- 0:43Speaker 1: first few weeks. He's only been here two months. Just
- 0:48Speaker 1: look at some of the things he said. Remember the
- 0:50Speaker 1: terrible shooting of the nut job. Crazy maniac is out there,
- 0:55Speaker 1: shoots the cop. Mom Donnie rushes to the hospital to
- 1:00Speaker 1: visit the shooter, not the cop. We've never seen that
- 1:03Speaker 1: before ever in history. Goes to the hospital, visits the
- 1:06Speaker 1: purp and make sure he's okay. Have you ever heard
- 1:12Speaker 1: of anything like that. You're the mayor, this is your cop.
- 1:15Speaker 1: You're a policeman who was shot. He's supposed to visit him.
- 1:18Speaker 1: You're not supposed to go visit the purp. The shooter
- 1:21Speaker 1: in the hospital, absolutely insane. Then he invites the worst
- 1:27Speaker 1: guy in the world, that terrorist supporter Khalil Mam, Mama
- 1:33Speaker 1: whatever his name is, Khalil, who's at Colombia leading this
- 1:36Speaker 1: anti Semitic, anti Israel charge. There's this awful October seventh
- 1:43Speaker 1: Holocaust that takes place in Israel. Khalil supports it, he
- 1:46Speaker 1: believes in it. Horrible, horrible guy. Thank god the United
- 1:51Speaker 1: States decided to deport this guy. You can't get a
- 1:54Speaker 1: green card visa. You can't be given a green card
- 1:58Speaker 1: to come to the US of visa to come here
- 2:01Speaker 1: and then try to just destroy everything and everybody. And
- 2:05Speaker 1: if it's about freedom of speech, you got to say
- 2:07Speaker 1: on your application, this is what you stand for, that
- 2:10Speaker 1: when you get here, you're going to lead protests against Israel,
- 2:12Speaker 1: against this, against it. But he didn't say any He
- 2:15Speaker 1: lied on his application, so they were going to deport him.
- 2:18Speaker 1: They had him detained, he was in custody. You get
- 2:21Speaker 1: a left wing wacko judge who lets him out, which
- 2:23Speaker 1: is not that's bad enough. Then you get the mayor
- 2:27Speaker 1: invites him to Gracie Mansion to have dinner there. It's
- 2:31Speaker 1: absolutely insane. Mom, Donnie's still getting flak for that. Yesterday.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Tried to explain it.
- 2:35Speaker 2: When he was detained by ice agents, flown to Louisiana
- 2:40Speaker 2: and held in an ice facility, and he was held
- 2:43Speaker 2: there for months and the only charge that was levied
- 2:47Speaker 2: against him was the exercising of his First Amendment rights.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Well, actually no, it was leading all kinds of terrible disruptions.
- 2:55Speaker 1: And you know, if you hate us that much, don't
- 2:58Speaker 1: come here. Don't come here. If you love Hamas that much,
- 3:03Speaker 1: go over there, go join them. But this, Mam Donnie's
- 3:07Speaker 1: just one crazy thing after another. Now the latest, you know,
- 3:13Speaker 1: there was some flack over the homeless. He remember how
- 3:17Speaker 1: bad things got in the month of February. Remember that
- 3:21Speaker 1: cold spell were like temperature the real field temperature was
- 3:25Speaker 1: like minus ten degrees. It was unbelievably cold. And Mamdani
- 3:29Speaker 1: orders the cops and all the agencies, don't bother the homeless.
- 3:32Speaker 1: If they want to stay out in the street, let
- 3:33Speaker 1: them stay out. And the result was seventeen died out
- 3:36Speaker 1: in the streets. So you got to do something. You know,
- 3:39Speaker 1: we have these shelters, and the problem is you got
- 3:42Speaker 1: politicians running and politicians, whether it's the Blasi or types
- 3:46Speaker 1: like that. They're just totally incompetent. I mean, they're nice guys,
- 3:49Speaker 1: they can make a nice speech, but they're not managers.
- 3:52Speaker 1: They don't know how to run anything. You know, they'll
- 3:55Speaker 1: tell you, well, the shelter's not safe, shelter is infested
- 3:59Speaker 1: with rat. Well if that's the case, go fix it.
- 4:04Speaker 1: That happens all the time. You know. When guys like
- 4:07Speaker 1: Trump are the great builders of New York. Sometimes they
- 4:10Speaker 1: buy an old building and they you know, that's how
- 4:13Speaker 1: the meatpacking district started. When the great Irwin Cohen, he
- 4:17Speaker 1: bought the old Chelsea Market, it was all run down.
- 4:19Speaker 1: He ended up creating the meatpacking District, the most spectacular
- 4:22Speaker 1: thing in the world. But he used to tell me
- 4:23Speaker 1: when he bought it it was disgusting. It was filled
- 4:27Speaker 1: with rats and roaches and drug dealers and hookers and junkies,
- 4:30Speaker 1: and it was a crack then. So if he had
- 4:34Speaker 1: the Diplasio approach, he'd say, oh, well, we can't go
- 4:36Speaker 1: in there, nothing we can do. No, they went in
- 4:39Speaker 1: there and cleaned it out. You come in with a
- 4:41Speaker 1: lot of cops and a thousand exterminators and you clean
- 4:44Speaker 1: it out and you fix it up. So you could
- 4:46Speaker 1: do that with these shelters. If they're that bad, fix them.
- 4:50Speaker 1: It's that if that were Rudy Giuliani, he'd be back
- 4:53Speaker 1: at the shelter the next day with forty cops and
- 4:56Speaker 1: fifty exterminators and they'd cleaned the place up, and then
- 4:59Speaker 1: you'd run the shelters. They're not safe. Put some cops
- 5:02Speaker 1: in there, make them sick. But politicians can't figure that out.
- 5:06Speaker 1: So what do you do with the homeless? Well, Mom,
- 5:07Speaker 1: Donnie just signed a contract yesterday for two billion dollars.
- 5:13Speaker 1: This is coming out of our paychecks, a contract for
- 5:17Speaker 1: two billion dollars to put the homeless in hotels. You
- 5:20Speaker 1: remember they did this with the illegals that came here.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Remember they Watson Hotel right up there in fifty seventh
- 5:26Speaker 1: Street with the swimming pool on the roof and the
- 5:29Speaker 1: eight hundred dollars a night rooms. That's where they put
- 5:31Speaker 1: these illegal aliens. We paid for it out of our paychecks.
- 5:35Speaker 1: So now they're going to put the homeless in hotels.
- 5:38Speaker 1: They're even closing the men's shelter. It's two hundred and
- 5:41Speaker 1: fifty beds there can hold two hundred and fifty residents
- 5:45Speaker 1: on thirtieth Street. They're closing it. You could house people
- 5:51Speaker 1: there for a lot less money, but they're they're going
- 5:53Speaker 1: to spend two billion on hotel rooms. It's absolutely ridiculous.
- 5:59Speaker 1: If you ever tried to get a hotel room in Manhattan,
- 6:01Speaker 1: it's very expensive. It's a lot of money for hotel Manhattan.
- 6:04Speaker 1: You ever said, you know, I think we'll stay in
- 6:05Speaker 1: Manhattan one night. Dan, you look at the rates eight
- 6:08Speaker 1: hundred a night, one thousand a night. He said, I'm
- 6:11Speaker 1: not going to spend that. But here's the homeless getting
- 6:13Speaker 1: it for free. Now, why would you give a two
- 6:16Speaker 1: billion dollar contract to these hotels? Well, he may be stupid,
- 6:22Speaker 1: but he's like a real politician. Now he's getting to
- 6:24Speaker 1: be a real sleazy, corrupt politician. The reason you do that,
- 6:28Speaker 1: it's the big Hotel Association, which is one of the
- 6:32Speaker 1: biggest donors in politics, one of the biggest special interest
- 6:36Speaker 1: groups in New York, the Hotel Association. That's why politicians
- 6:41Speaker 1: love to give them multi billion dollar contracts. Multi billion
- 6:46Speaker 1: dollar contracts. Now here's the other problem, besides the fact
- 6:51Speaker 1: that you're overpaying like crazy to house the homeless. When
- 6:55Speaker 1: you give a billion dollar contracts, something happened during the
- 6:59Speaker 1: migrant crisis. When you when you take thousands and thousands
- 7:02Speaker 1: and thousands of hotel rooms for this purpose, you're taking
- 7:06Speaker 1: thousands and thousands of hotel rooms off the market, So
- 7:09Speaker 1: you're cutting down on the available number of hotel rooms
- 7:12Speaker 1: for tourists. And when you cut down the inventory, it
- 7:16Speaker 1: drives the price way up. So if it's eight hundred
- 7:19Speaker 1: a night for the hotel and you take five, six,
- 7:22Speaker 1: ten thousand rooms off the market, the price is going
- 7:25Speaker 1: to double on the hotels that are still on the markets.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Absolutely insane. Only an idiot would do that, or a
- 7:32Speaker 1: sleazy politician who needs to take care of special interest groups.
- 7:36Speaker 1: The Hotel Association is one of them. I mean, not
- 7:40Speaker 1: their fault, but they're big, big, huge donors. They take
- 7:42Speaker 1: care of politicians. And it's not just them, a lot
- 7:45Speaker 1: of these unions they get big, big contracts from these
- 7:49Speaker 1: politicians because they make big, big, big donations. Let's get
- 7:54Speaker 1: to the Nancy Guthrie case. There's a name you don't
- 7:57Speaker 1: hear anymore, Nancy Guthrie. Go watch your TV twenty four
- 8:00Speaker 1: to seven. You won't hear the name Nancy Guthrie anymore.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Did everybody just give up. Well, that crazy sheriff, his
- 8:08Speaker 1: name is Nanos, that local sheriff who looked like a
- 8:11Speaker 1: real bumbling and competent from the beginning. Besides bumbling and incompetent,
- 8:16Speaker 1: is starting to look sleezier and sleezier and sleezier, and
- 8:21Speaker 1: stuff is coming out about this guy. Way in the
- 8:23Speaker 1: past in his career, he's lied on his resume. In
- 8:27Speaker 1: earlier jobs he had, he got brought up on charges
- 8:29Speaker 1: for all sorts of crap, so he's not the most
- 8:33Speaker 1: reputable guy in the world. And then Yesterday makes this
- 8:35Speaker 1: bizarre statement, because what happened to Nancy Garthrie? Why have
- 8:39Speaker 1: we stopped talking about it? Why have we forgotten about it?
- 8:42Speaker 1: So this sheriff yesterday says, well, he thinks he knows
- 8:45Speaker 1: why she was targeted. In fact, he warns the suspect
- 8:49Speaker 1: could strike again. Well, if he has any idea what happened,
- 8:52Speaker 1: why is he telling us? Why would you make such
- 8:55Speaker 1: a real, weird, mysterious statement like that. You're the sheriff.
- 8:58Speaker 1: I think I know what happened, and let us know.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Tell us there are some people, now this sounds a
- 9:07Speaker 1: little crazy, but there are some people now that think
- 9:09Speaker 1: he was involved somehow, or that he knew the people involved,
- 9:14Speaker 1: something like that. I have no evidence of that, and
- 9:16Speaker 1: it sounds crazy to me, but there are some people
- 9:20Speaker 1: that now are starting to believe that, Hey, the Department
- 9:23Speaker 1: of Justice issued a big correction, you know, the Muller Report,
- 9:27Speaker 1: that crazy Muller Report. This is hard to believe, but
- 9:30Speaker 1: ten years ago Democrats got so upset about Trump getting
- 9:34Speaker 1: elected that they've concocted one of the worst hoaxes ever
- 9:38Speaker 1: on the American public. It was the Russia collusion hoax.
- 9:43Speaker 1: They actually tried to convince people that Trump was some
- 9:45Speaker 1: sort of Russian agent, He was involved with the Russians.
- 9:49Speaker 1: He and Putin, they were colluding on stealing the election,
- 9:53Speaker 1: and they tried to convince everybody that Trump didn't win,
- 9:56Speaker 1: Russia actually tampered with the election. Now, you always get
- 10:00Speaker 1: some election denying through the years, Kennedy, Nixon, there's elections
- 10:05Speaker 1: where a lot of fraud took place, and it's always
- 10:08Speaker 1: brought up. There's a bunch of examples. Kerry claimed that
- 10:12Speaker 1: with Bush and all that. But this was the biggest
- 10:15Speaker 1: case of election denial ever, trying to claim Russia stole
- 10:19Speaker 1: the election, and it led to the Mueller investigation, the
- 10:23Speaker 1: Mueller witch hunt, which spent one hundred and fifty million
- 10:26Speaker 1: of taxpayer money and found absolutely no evidence anywhere of
- 10:32Speaker 1: any Russian collusion. Nothing. They found no evidence of Russia
- 10:37Speaker 1: tampering with the election. The only thing they came up
- 10:40Speaker 1: with they found that Russian bots or something spent one
- 10:45Speaker 1: hundred thousand on Facebook ads. Now that is absolutely nothing.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Big restaurants in Manhattan spent one hundred thousand on Facebook ads.
- 10:55Speaker 1: It's nothing. The campaigns each spent like two three hundred
- 10:59Speaker 1: million on Facebook eds. One hundred thousand on Facebook edds
- 11:03Speaker 1: is not going to do anything to affect anything in
- 11:05Speaker 1: the election. So the whole thing was a hoax. Well,
- 11:08Speaker 1: now the Department of Justice, going through the mull report,
- 11:11Speaker 1: has issued a huge correction in it. You remember there
- 11:14Speaker 1: was the story about Russia was blackmailing Trump because there
- 11:18Speaker 1: was a video of his stay in a Moscow hotel
- 11:22Speaker 1: room where he was with two prostitutes and there were
- 11:25Speaker 1: golden showers that remember that, this ridiculous, preposterous story about
- 11:31Speaker 1: this ridiculous video tape. It never happened, there's no video,
- 11:35Speaker 1: but they said it was a Russian intelligence agent. They
- 11:38Speaker 1: even named the guy Russian intelligence agent that was behind
- 11:43Speaker 1: this tape, Russian intelligence agent that was to help create
- 11:47Speaker 1: this whole Russia connection. Well they've corrected it now because
- 11:50Speaker 1: the guy whose name is Georgi richtrich Zaldi, whatever his
- 11:55Speaker 1: name is here, it turns out he's not Russian. He
- 11:57Speaker 1: was an American, and he's originally a Georgie, but he's
- 12:01Speaker 1: an American and he wasn't Russian, had nothing to do
- 12:03Speaker 1: with Russia. So that correction being put out yesterday by
- 12:08Speaker 1: the Department of Justice, first time we're ever hearing about that. Hey,
- 12:12Speaker 1: you know, taxes in New York. They keep wanting to
- 12:14Speaker 1: raise taxes. They keep wanting to raise taxes on the rich,
- 12:17Speaker 1: raise taxes on everybody because they keep claiming, we just
- 12:20Speaker 1: don't have enough money. The budget, the budget, we're short
- 12:23Speaker 1: of money, we have a short New York City Council
- 12:26Speaker 1: wants to boost its own budget by ten percent ten percent.
- 12:32Speaker 1: It's one hundred and fifteen million a year. What the
- 12:34Speaker 1: hell would cost one hundred and fifteen million a year
- 12:36Speaker 1: for the city council. They want to raise it to
- 12:39Speaker 1: about one hundred and thirty million a year, Absolutely ridiculous.
- 12:43Speaker 1: They want to add fifty seven new jobs City Council.
- 12:48Speaker 1: They got a meeting room, they got that long desk
- 12:51Speaker 1: with the microphones. They show up, they talk, they vote.
- 12:54Speaker 1: That's all you need. Why would you need hundreds and
- 12:57Speaker 1: hundreds of employees for this? And they want to add
- 12:59Speaker 1: fifth fifty seven new jobs legal and professional contracts of
- 13:04Speaker 1: the eighteen new jobs just for the city council speaker.
- 13:08Speaker 1: What the hell would they need eighteen new people for?
- 13:11Speaker 1: Absolutely ridiculous. Hey, if people tell you everybody's leaving New York,
- 13:16Speaker 1: you hear that all the time from people. Everybody I
- 13:18Speaker 1: know is leaving New York. People are fleeing New York.
- 13:21Speaker 1: It's absolutely not true. There are more people moving in
- 13:24Speaker 1: than moving out. In fact, the condo co op market,
- 13:29Speaker 1: especially the high end, it's more contracts closed last month
- 13:33Speaker 1: than usual the month before, more contracts closed than the
- 13:36Speaker 1: year before. And when it comes to rentals, and that's
- 13:39Speaker 1: the best way to tell, because a lot of people
- 13:42Speaker 1: when they move for the first time to New York,
- 13:44Speaker 1: new people coming in usually will rent first. They'll rent
- 13:49Speaker 1: and then maybe a year later, if they like it,
- 13:50Speaker 1: they'll buy something. But the rental market is the way
- 13:52Speaker 1: you tell. The rental market is through the roof. In fact,
- 13:56Speaker 1: it's very tough to rent anything right now. In fact,
- 14:00Speaker 1: we've set a new record for declines in available homes.
- 14:04Speaker 1: There's very very little inventory, a new record for how
- 14:09Speaker 1: many rentals are going on. It's a massive boom. It's
- 14:13Speaker 1: driving the price up. You know, we see the price
- 14:15Speaker 1: of rentals. One reason is so many people are moving here.
- 14:19Speaker 1: There's very very very very little inventory. So don't fall
- 14:23Speaker 1: for all that stuff. Now people are moving out of
- 14:27Speaker 1: Washington State. This is what happens when you try to
- 14:31Speaker 1: go soak the rich or target the billionaires. So they
- 14:36Speaker 1: wrought Washington State, putting in this new tax lots an
- 14:38Speaker 1: extra ten percent tax anybody making over a million dollars
- 14:42Speaker 1: a year. The founder, creator of Starbucks, which is probably
- 14:46Speaker 1: the most famous Washington State company, well maybe Microsoft, but
- 14:51Speaker 1: Starbucks just a symbol of Washington State. The chairman, the founder,
- 14:55Speaker 1: Howard Schultz, says he's leaving Washington the day before that
- 14:58Speaker 1: tax starts, because you know, if you got one hundred
- 15:02Speaker 1: million and the tax is ten million, you're handing ten
- 15:05Speaker 1: million to the government just to squander it, just to
- 15:08Speaker 1: waste it. If you're a guy like Howard Schultz, it's
- 15:11Speaker 1: not that you're greedy, but if you've got an extra tax,
- 15:14Speaker 1: it's gonna be an extra twenty million. You'd rather give
- 15:18Speaker 1: that to your kids. You'd rather give that to a charity.
- 15:21Speaker 1: You'd rather donate that to a hospital. Why would you
- 15:23Speaker 1: want to give it to some slease ball politicians who
- 15:26Speaker 1: are going to waste the twenty million? So I don't
- 15:28Speaker 1: blame him. He's leaving, he's moving to Florida. Hey, we'll
- 15:31Speaker 1: take some calls. Next. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 15:34Speaker 1: seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two one
- 15:38Speaker 1: zero seven ten.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Now back to the Mark Simon Show on wor.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 15:48Speaker 1: zero seven ten is the number. Let's go to Tony
- 15:50Speaker 1: in Westchester.
- 15:51Speaker 4: Tony, how you doing, Hey, Mark, I'm doing well and
- 15:56Speaker 4: I love listening to you, and there's so many things
- 15:58Speaker 4: I'd love to talk to you about. You know, Rudy Giuliani.
- 16:02Speaker 4: This thing with Savannah Guthrie. There's something on the internet
- 16:05Speaker 4: that's saying, you know, she interviewed some people connected with
- 16:09Speaker 4: the ebscene case and they're trying to teach her.
- 16:13Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, don't believe that.
- 16:16Speaker 4: Okay, So here's the one yesterday when you're talking about
- 16:19Speaker 4: Elon being probably the next trillionaire, Why does it he
- 16:23Speaker 4: with all his brilliant attack homelessness because he's got enough
- 16:27Speaker 4: money to solve it on his own.
- 16:29Speaker 1: No, you gotta remember he could do that in the
- 16:30Speaker 1: second Guys like this could figure out everything. But he
- 16:33Speaker 1: tried it with the government waste and fraud, the DOGE program,
- 16:36Speaker 1: and all he did was get attacked day in night, NonStop,
- 16:39Speaker 1: and he had to back off. So that's the problem.
- 16:42Speaker 1: You could. You know, guys like that can come in
- 16:44Speaker 1: and fix everything in government, but the swamp, the deep
- 16:47Speaker 1: state will fight you like crazy and chase you out
- 16:50Speaker 1: of Washington. And that's what happened. Let's go to Barbara
- 16:53Speaker 1: in Woodside. Barbara, how you doing how you do?
- 16:56Speaker 5: And I'm doing great. Listen. I worked at the city
- 16:59Speaker 5: count so and all these people are political appointees. They're
- 17:03Speaker 5: favors to the political parties. And I stayed there only
- 17:07Speaker 5: four months because it's the environment was too political and
- 17:11Speaker 5: very hard to stay there.
- 17:12Speaker 1: So when they want to increase the budget, hire another
- 17:14Speaker 1: ninety people, it's like this is like Polly Walnuts. Polly
- 17:18Speaker 1: Walnuts notiondically, Paully Walnuts, no show jobs, that kind of stuff.
- 17:23Speaker 1: That makes sense. Let's go to Bob in Mottvale. Bob,
- 17:26Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 17:28Speaker 3: I'm hanging in there. Mark, thanks for taking their call.
- 17:31Speaker 3: So that the reason why they're closing out homeless shelf
- 17:34Speaker 3: for men is that it's decrepit. It's like any other
- 17:38Speaker 3: New York City landlord owned property. Let to go to shame,
- 17:42Speaker 3: and then they're going to spend billions on a hotel.
- 17:45Speaker 1: I know, but my point was that Chelsea Market was
- 17:47Speaker 1: the most decrepit thing in New York, and Irwin Cohen
- 17:49Speaker 1: bys it and says, let's transform it. All of a sudden,
- 17:52Speaker 1: it's the most beautiful building in New York on a hotspot.
- 17:55Speaker 1: And it didn't cost two billion like these hotel rooms.
- 17:57Speaker 1: It costs like twenty million. And that was it. Fix
- 18:00Speaker 1: it up it again, to fix up that. If you
- 18:02Speaker 1: give that shelter to Donald Trump and said turn this
- 18:06Speaker 1: into a ballroom, it'd be the most gleaming, beautiful ballroom
- 18:09Speaker 1: in New York in two months. So you can fix
- 18:11Speaker 1: up the shelter. You don't have to spend billions and
- 18:13Speaker 1: billions in hotel rooms. But as we pointed out, it's
- 18:17Speaker 1: a contract to the Hotel Association, which can do you
- 18:20Speaker 1: a lot of good if you're a politician. Let's go
- 18:23Speaker 1: to Tony and White Plains. Tony, how you doing?
- 18:26Speaker 6: Yeah, good morning, Mark. I also met Ernie Anastas. I
- 18:30Speaker 6: live in White Plains, West Sheffe.
- 18:32Speaker 1: If you okay, No, I love White Plains. It's a
- 18:36Speaker 1: beautiful place. You got a Trump Tower in White Plains,
- 18:38Speaker 1: You got a rich Garlton and White Plains.
- 18:40Speaker 6: Yes, yes, But the reason why I called is I
- 18:44Speaker 6: met Ernie actually in the Poconos, Popono downs at the racetrack.
- 18:49Speaker 6: My friend George Anthony, he calls the races there, and
- 18:52Speaker 6: I'm also in the horse business. And I was with
- 18:55Speaker 6: my wife and some friends, and then we went up
- 18:57Speaker 6: to the booths. My friend George was calling the races
- 19:01Speaker 6: and and and there was George Anthony.
- 19:03Speaker 1: I mean, we gotta speed this story up a little.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Let's get to Ernie.
- 19:07Speaker 6: Ernie an ass I'm sorry, and and uh he introduced
- 19:10Speaker 6: us and he was a perfect gentleman. But we used
- 19:13Speaker 6: to watch them all the time. He didn't hit you, no, no, no,
- 19:17Speaker 6: he doesn't. He actually even off off the pie is
- 19:19Speaker 6: a hot dog. But we already have one because they
- 19:21Speaker 6: were having.
- 19:21Speaker 1: The All right, now, that's a good, good point. Yeah,
- 19:24Speaker 1: Ernie was the nicest guy in the world. If you
- 19:26Speaker 1: go on Instagram, you'll see millions of people putting up
- 19:28Speaker 1: pictures with Ernie. That's because anybody who wanted to stop
- 19:30Speaker 1: and take a picture, he would be happy to do it.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Nicest guy ever. Check out my Instagram. There's some pictures
- 19:36Speaker 1: of Ernie there, Mark Simone, n y I see it Instagram.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Let's go to George in Long Island. George, how you doing?
- 19:43Speaker 7: Yeah? Hi, poor Jefferson poort Jefferson. Yeah. I told next
- 19:47Speaker 7: time you come out, go to Pie. It's on Main Street.
- 19:50Speaker 7: It's a nice place that makes Colon pie is good.
- 19:53Speaker 1: You got that Prohibition restaurant that's very good.
- 19:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:56Speaker 7: I haven't been there anyway, Lisa Harris.
- 19:58Speaker 1: The great baker and you got that there.
- 20:01Speaker 7: Yeah, trying to lose weight, which is impossible. But anyway,
- 20:04Speaker 7: And if.
- 20:05Speaker 1: You're in are you near Smithtown?
- 20:07Speaker 7: Uh? Yeah, I am.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Big spectacular new restaurant just open there, the Chaz It's
- 20:13Speaker 1: the sister restaurant of Rothman's, just opening in Smithtown this week.
- 20:18Speaker 7: I'll have to try it. Anyway, Listen, we're in trouble
- 20:21Speaker 7: when macdonnie in the city. My kids live in the
- 20:23Speaker 7: city and they voted for him because they're crazy left wingers.
- 20:26Speaker 7: What can I say? They grew up in Garden City,
- 20:28Speaker 7: which when there was a Democratic vote in the ballot,
- 20:30Speaker 7: they'd have an investigation. But that'sn't either here or there
- 20:33Speaker 7: with mcdonnie, With Mandannie, we're in trouble because even if
- 20:37Speaker 7: Bruce Blakeman should win.
- 20:38Speaker 1: We will win. Bruce Blakeman, no.
- 20:40Speaker 7: I hope he will. I hope he will win, but
- 20:43Speaker 7: he would if he wins, and he can remove when
- 20:45Speaker 7: Donnie under the city CHARTERA, you have the you have
- 20:49Speaker 7: the public advocates. Joannie Williams.
- 20:52Speaker 3: He's just well.
- 20:53Speaker 1: But also remember Bruce Blakeman, when he gets elected governor,
- 20:56Speaker 1: can remove the district attorneys. He can get rid of
- 20:59Speaker 1: Alvin Bragging, put in real DA. Things can happen, Mark Listing,
- 21:03Speaker 1: I'm not always so depressed. First of all, this whole
- 21:07Speaker 1: thing is your fault. You're crazy left wing kids voted
- 21:10Speaker 1: for him.
- 21:11Speaker 7: Let me tell you. I'll tell you what I told him.
- 21:13Speaker 7: I finally told my daughter, who went to a fancy
- 21:16Speaker 7: school I paid for it. I said, I should have
- 21:18Speaker 7: sent you to the University of Havana. It would have
- 21:20Speaker 7: been cheaper that same results.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Like goodbye, pretty call Hey. When we come back to
- 21:26Speaker 1: the brilliant columnist, the great columnist Miranda Divine will be
- 21:30Speaker 1: with us next on seven to ten w R. Mark
- 21:34Speaker 1: Simoni's back on seventeen wor Hey. The biggest and best
- 21:40Speaker 1: columnist in America, Miranda Divine. You can read her in
- 21:43Speaker 1: The New York Post and make sure you get her
- 21:44Speaker 1: book if it's a big bestseller. But if you haven't
- 21:47Speaker 1: read the book, The Big Guy, get Miranda Divine's book
- 21:50Speaker 1: and listen to her podcast. It's fantastic pod Force one.
- 21:55Speaker 1: A lot of great episodes are out wherever you get podcasts.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Miranda Divine, you doing, I'm.
- 22:01Speaker 8: Really well, Thanks Mark, Thanks for having me on.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Thanks for all the great work, great columns. Hey talk
- 22:06Speaker 1: about the media, the far left, me even normal mainstream
- 22:11Speaker 1: It's gone crazy. Those two Isis bomb throwers are just happy,
- 22:15Speaker 1: go lucky teenagers and they're attacking us over Iran. What
- 22:19Speaker 1: is going on here?
- 22:23Speaker 8: I just think that Trump derangement has gripped so hard
- 22:27Speaker 8: that they can't even see for their own self protection.
- 22:31Speaker 8: Or the protection of their readers, their viewers. They don't care.
- 22:37Speaker 8: You know, they make us more at risk by downplaying
- 22:41Speaker 8: these terrorist attacks. I mean, I think now it's impossible
- 22:45Speaker 8: for them to pretend that we're not suffering from a rise,
- 22:50Speaker 8: a surge in Islamic terrorism. And this is something that
- 22:54Speaker 8: New York knows all too well. And yet we have
- 22:57Speaker 8: a mayor who is the chief of the down players.
- 23:01Speaker 8: He posed as if he were the victim of the
- 23:06Speaker 8: two Isis inspired suspects who threw those homemade bombs into
- 23:12Speaker 8: a crowd outside his Gracie Anshen. He was perfectly safe
- 23:16Speaker 8: because he's got a massive detail and the house is
- 23:20Speaker 8: set right back from the street. But still he just
- 23:24Speaker 8: could not bring himself to utter the word terrorism until
- 23:27Speaker 8: two or three days on. And at the very beginning,
- 23:30Speaker 8: he was just railing against what was it like white
- 23:34Speaker 8: supremacy and bigotry and racism because they were these anti
- 23:40Speaker 8: Muslim protesters outside Gracey Anshen, but the attackers were attacking them.
- 23:46Speaker 8: They were on his side. And you know, this is
- 23:49Speaker 8: a mayor who doesn't get it.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Yeah, but maybe he does get it, maybe, you know,
- 23:55Speaker 1: like inviting that terrorist sympathizer to dinner at Gracie Mansion.
- 23:58Speaker 1: If you wanted to his friend, maybe talk to him
- 24:01Speaker 1: privately on the phone, but to bring him right into
- 24:04Speaker 1: Gracie Mansion. He's trying to send us a message.
- 24:06Speaker 8: Of some kind, isn't he and then tweet out a photo.
- 24:10Speaker 8: It wasn't as if he was even discreet about it.
- 24:13Speaker 8: He invited Mahmood Khalil, who's the anti Hamas agitator who
- 24:19Speaker 8: organized or led the Columbia protests and to the Trump
- 24:24Speaker 8: administration has been trying to deport and has become a
- 24:28Speaker 8: cause celebrity in the left. And for Zora ma'am Dani,
- 24:33Speaker 8: this guy is just a hero and a saint. So
- 24:36Speaker 8: he invites him over and honors him with a special dinner.
- 24:39Speaker 8: And that's just twenty four hours after these two bombs
- 24:44Speaker 8: that only by the grace of God did not explode
- 24:47Speaker 8: and kill a name, dozens of people and police officers.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Now this is all just in the first few weeks
- 24:54Speaker 1: this mayor then the cop is shoting, he goes to
- 24:57Speaker 1: visit the shooter in the hospital, not the ow. So
- 25:01Speaker 1: what are we going to do for the next three
- 25:02Speaker 1: and a half years.
- 25:05Speaker 8: Well, I mean, Downey is just the most obvious manifestation
- 25:08Speaker 8: of this sickness. And the Democrat Party, and you know,
- 25:12Speaker 8: as you say, they identify with the persecutor, not the victim.
- 25:17Speaker 8: They are soft on crime because they think that anybody
- 25:21Speaker 8: who's locked up by law enforcement is a victim, and
- 25:24Speaker 8: they're victims are just people that you're just inconvenient truths
- 25:28Speaker 8: that you just want to ignore. And they seem to
- 25:33Speaker 8: feel that they themselves are impervious to any consequences. And
- 25:37Speaker 8: I guess when you control cities like the Democrats do
- 25:41Speaker 8: across this country. They control the greatest cities New York, LA, Chicago,
- 25:48Speaker 8: they control the nation's capital to the point where you
- 25:52Speaker 8: cannot Washington, DC. The Trump administration cannot get a jury
- 25:59Speaker 8: that is unby so they can't really prosecute any of
- 26:02Speaker 8: the cases they want to bring, and they're a sort
- 26:05Speaker 8: of a stalemate. And you know, the Democrats also control
- 26:10Speaker 8: the legal profession, and so they're busy concocting new law
- 26:14Speaker 8: fare while the Trump administration, the DOJ is kind of
- 26:19Speaker 8: flowing on the back foot and has a whole bunch
- 26:22Speaker 8: of vipers within the net.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Miranda divine. The other media narrative is about Iran. Well,
- 26:28Speaker 1: the president has not explained to us, what do you
- 26:32Speaker 1: need anything explain to you. I think I could see
- 26:34Speaker 1: the purpose of this wark, can't you.
- 26:37Speaker 8: I mean, I think it's been crystal clear, from the
- 26:40Speaker 8: bombing last year of the nuclear facilities at Fudo to
- 26:47Speaker 8: the Saturday that he decided to launch an attack. I
- 26:51Speaker 8: think it's been pretty obvious. I mean, it's actually has
- 26:54Speaker 8: been obvious for almost half a century that Iran is
- 26:57Speaker 8: our enemy. And they make no bones about it. They're
- 27:01Speaker 8: constantly saying, get to America. They fund all the proxies
- 27:06Speaker 8: that attack Americans of the battlefield in Iraq and Afghanistan.
- 27:11Speaker 8: They are the masterminds of the IEDs that killed and
- 27:15Speaker 8: maimed and left brain injured so many American soldiers. So
- 27:20Speaker 8: we know that they do not mean well to us.
- 27:24Speaker 8: But every other president has erred on the side of
- 27:28Speaker 8: caution and decided that Iran is too big a beast
- 27:33Speaker 8: to go after, and so they've just tried to appease
- 27:36Speaker 8: them with billions of dollars of cash, as the Barmer
- 27:39Speaker 8: administration did, or turn a blind eye, or kick the
- 27:43Speaker 8: can down the road. And Donald Trump's not a guy
- 27:46Speaker 8: to kick the can down the road. So for good
- 27:48Speaker 8: or for ill. We're in it now, and I think
- 27:52Speaker 8: it's incumbent on us to support what the administration is
- 27:56Speaker 8: doing and just hope they know what they're doing.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Miranda Divine, do we need obviously we do, but can
- 28:03Speaker 1: we ever get term limits? You know you got this Clyburn,
- 28:05Speaker 1: James Clyburn, he's eighty five running for reelection. We really
- 28:09Speaker 1: do need term limits, don't we?
- 28:12Speaker 8: Yeah, we need term limits, and also we don't need dynasties. Honestly,
- 28:16Speaker 8: what is it? Cliburn's daughter apparently is waiting in the
- 28:20Speaker 8: team takeover when he finally decides, after what is it
- 28:23Speaker 8: seventeen terms that he might take a break. The problem
- 28:27Speaker 8: is he has such a stranglehold on that neck of
- 28:31Speaker 8: the woods that he'll just get whatever he wants so
- 28:34Speaker 8: he'll be able to run again from a coffin.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Not good, Not good. Hey, we love your podcast, Miranda
- 28:41Speaker 1: Divine does the great podcast pod Force one. There's a
- 28:44Speaker 1: whole many great episodes with President Trump. Everybody can go
- 28:48Speaker 1: on wherever you get your podcast, you can listen to
- 28:50Speaker 1: all of them. Who do you have next?
- 28:53Speaker 8: So we've got oh, I'm trying to remember. I think
- 28:56Speaker 8: it's Brendan Carr, the FCC Commissioner. Yeah, it was going
- 29:02Speaker 8: to be James Coma. We're interviewing both, but James Coma
- 29:08Speaker 8: has got just had an issue in Kentucky that he's
- 29:10Speaker 8: got to stay, so so we're not sure if we're
- 29:13Speaker 8: going to be able to interview James Commea. I would
- 29:14Speaker 8: love to do that, love to find out what he
- 29:18Speaker 8: thought of Hillary Clinton her testimony, and what he thinks
- 29:22Speaker 8: of Jill Biden's new book. So we will get to
- 29:26Speaker 8: him at some point, but it may not be in
- 29:29Speaker 8: time for our next drop on Wednesday.
- 29:32Speaker 1: Of course, one we'll make sure you get Miranda Devine's
- 29:35Speaker 1: latest book, The Big Guy. She's written the best books
- 29:37Speaker 1: on Joe Biden. The Big Guy is a huge best seller.
- 29:40Speaker 1: What do you think? What do you think Joe Biden
- 29:43Speaker 1: will be in the next year, just still sitting there
- 29:45Speaker 1: in Delaware doing nothing.
- 29:49Speaker 8: Well, we want to know obviously their grifts by nature
- 29:54Speaker 8: and explains Jill Biden's book, But I don't know he's
- 30:00Speaker 8: like when he's allowed out, he reminds us of who
- 30:04Speaker 8: he is. And he gave a speech the other day
- 30:07Speaker 8: in which he told everyone that he's smarter than all
- 30:09Speaker 8: of you and he's always been smarter, and everyone thought
- 30:13Speaker 8: that he wasn't smart because he had a stutter, but
- 30:14Speaker 8: actually hid his genius. I don't know why he was
- 30:18Speaker 8: talking about that, but that's him. It's all about Joe Biden.
- 30:22Speaker 8: So I think until his dying breath, he will be
- 30:25Speaker 8: lying for America and self agrandizing and telling tall tales.
- 30:31Speaker 1: And flying commercial all the time. He's the only ex
- 30:33Speaker 1: president can't seem to borrow a plane from anybody because
- 30:35Speaker 1: he's always flying commercial. It's pretty embarrassing.
- 30:39Speaker 8: Well, I mean, I think the Democrat donors were furious
- 30:43Speaker 8: about the twenty four election with both Joe Biden and
- 30:47Speaker 8: Kamala Harris. And Joe Biden saddled the Democrat party with
- 30:50Speaker 8: Kamala Harris because he promised Jim Clyburn and another that
- 30:56Speaker 8: he would appoint a woman of color as his v
- 31:00Speaker 8: and he did that, and he chose probably the stupidest
- 31:04Speaker 8: woman of color he could have found in the whole
- 31:06Speaker 8: country in Kamil Harris. But that was stuck with her
- 31:09Speaker 8: and she was unelectable. And yet she still has a
- 31:12Speaker 8: baton in her knapsack. She's still or is teasing that
- 31:15Speaker 8: she's going to run again.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Say that again. A button in her knapsack.
- 31:20Speaker 8: It must be an australianisn't fashin like a leadership Batson?
- 31:24Speaker 1: A baton in her knapsack. I got to use that.
- 31:27Speaker 1: That's excellent.
- 31:29Speaker 8: I didn't realize it. It was a strange Australian.
- 31:32Speaker 1: I'm afraid it is. But it's great. Well, everybody get
- 31:36Speaker 1: Miranda Divine's book, The Big Guy. Make sure you get
- 31:39Speaker 1: the podcast where if you get podcasts and get pod
- 31:42Speaker 1: force one of course reader in the New York Post,
- 31:44Speaker 1: and we love having you on, Miranda Divine, thanks for being.
