- 0:00Speaker 1: We're gonna talk about inflation hitting a two year high,
- 0:04Speaker 1: and once again before we even leave that topic. That's
- 0:06Speaker 1: why it's important just to stay in the market because
- 0:09Speaker 1: you know people that people that lose are usually people
- 0:11Speaker 1: that have short term vision and short term plans. You
- 0:16Speaker 1: got to just be able to block out all the noise.
- 0:17Speaker 1: So inflation hits two years high, and we can tie
- 0:23Speaker 1: this in with everything that's been happened geopolitically. If you
- 0:25Speaker 1: if you haven't followed last market mondays, the story was
- 0:30Speaker 1: that Trump had a deadline for Tuesday at eight o'clock
- 0:35Speaker 1: that if they didn't comply, if I Ran didn't comply,
- 0:38Speaker 1: he was going to destroy the whole entire country. Then
- 0:41Speaker 1: Tuesday at seven o'clock he said that it was a
- 0:44Speaker 1: two week towards and then also we said on market Monday,
- 0:49Speaker 1: watch for sabotage. And then after the after the after
- 0:53Speaker 1: the ceasefire was announced, Bayrue got hit with one hundred
- 0:57Speaker 1: bombs and ten minutes stability. Then they go and they
- 1:01Speaker 1: have a twenty four hour forty eight hour conversation with
- 1:06Speaker 1: JD Vance broken by Pakistan to try to have a
- 1:09Speaker 1: peace deal, and they said that that was not successful
- 1:11Speaker 1: and they said that the United States is going to
- 1:13Speaker 1: take over the straight Irin said, that's fake news. Who
- 1:21Speaker 1: knows what's going on. The Pope has got involved, he's
- 1:26Speaker 1: expressed his how he's not happy with what's going on.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Donald Trump attacked the Pope and then he dressed up
- 1:34Speaker 1: as white Jesus on True.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Social Wait, he wasn't a doctor in that photo.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Well then yeah, Now, then he said that he was
- 1:44Speaker 1: a doctor. So a lot has happened. A lot has
- 1:47Speaker 1: happened over the last one week. Well.
- 1:50Speaker 3: He also accused China of providing them with arms, saying
- 1:54Speaker 3: that they were bringing in planes to bring them arms,
- 1:56Speaker 3: and then threatened to put a fifty tariff on all
- 2:00Speaker 3: these goods if that was true. They denied that the
- 2:02Speaker 3: arms were being brought So now tariffs are back into play.
- 2:06Speaker 3: I mean, it's a lot, it's a lot. It's a
- 2:08Speaker 3: lot going on.
- 2:09Speaker 1: It's a lot going on, and it's a lot of uncertainty,
- 2:13Speaker 1: which is Donald Trump's middle name. His middle name is uncertainty,
- 2:17Speaker 1: find clarity. But the market, the market has rallied. We'll
- 2:21Speaker 1: see how long that can last. But inflation, Inflation is
- 2:27Speaker 1: always the silent killer of wealth, for sure. Inflation is
- 2:31Speaker 1: the silent killer of wealth, right, And that's something that
- 2:36Speaker 1: it's quiet. You don't you don't really realize what's going
- 2:39Speaker 1: on until you look up and your rent has gone
- 2:42Speaker 1: up one thousand dollars and the price of eggs has
- 2:45Speaker 1: gone up four dollars, and gasoline has gone up, you know,
- 2:49Speaker 1: two for four dollars per gallon. So inflation that will
- 2:54Speaker 1: add too, Yeah, high. What do we make of this?
- 2:58Speaker 2: I wouldn't want the job. But the part that's really
- 3:01Speaker 2: tough about that because when rent increases, once inflation starts
- 3:06Speaker 2: to slide back to a normal rate, the rent prices
- 3:10Speaker 2: don't come down. The mortgage rates don't always adjust as quickly.
- 3:14Speaker 2: The cost of living doesn't adjust. Just looking back into
- 3:17Speaker 2: let's say the twenty tens, the cost of living was
- 3:20Speaker 2: dramatically different than it is now. My fear in ten
- 3:23Speaker 2: years it'll probably be twenty five or thirty percent worse.
- 3:28Speaker 2: And it's not as bad as it can be. Like
- 3:30Speaker 2: in twenty twenty two it went to eight point three percent,
- 3:34Speaker 2: which was destructive, and we're still being kind of taxed
- 3:40Speaker 2: at a twenty twenty two rate even though we're at
- 3:42Speaker 2: three percent now. So even though the stock market is
- 3:48Speaker 2: doing well. As a result, it worries me that the
- 3:51Speaker 2: economy is not doing as well, and I think the
- 3:54Speaker 2: curtain is starting to be removed. There's a bunch of
- 3:57Speaker 2: things I think the FED could do. But if I'm
- 4:00Speaker 2: and long term, where we seem to be in an
- 4:02Speaker 2: endless inflation cycle to like you said, to rob you
- 4:05Speaker 2: of all wealth, it's not I don't think it's an accident.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Then as soon as everyone got into the market in
- 4:11Speaker 2: twenty twenty, and shock to everyone who's support us the
- 4:13Speaker 2: show from the very beginning that as soon as we
- 4:17Speaker 2: learned about business at a hot clip, they inflated damn
- 4:20Speaker 2: near all of your gains away from twenty twenty. Like
- 4:23Speaker 2: think about this, we were talking about it before the
- 4:24Speaker 2: show between Nvidia, AMD, Micron sand Disc. You've had some
- 4:29Speaker 2: of the greatest returns in the history of the market.
- 4:32Speaker 2: You also have the greatest disparity of wealth and have
- 4:37Speaker 2: and have not. And people now need one hundred to
- 4:41Speaker 2: two hundred percent return in the market to feel safe
- 4:44Speaker 2: to invest, because you can't even promise anyone seven to
- 4:47Speaker 2: twelve percent if inflation is twenty five percent. We are
- 4:52Speaker 2: on a destructive model that I have not seen and
- 4:55Speaker 2: I don't know if it's going to turn around any sooner.
- 4:57Speaker 2: I would be lying to say if I thought things
- 4:59Speaker 2: would be better four or five years. So I don't
- 5:02Speaker 2: know what the answer is here, but I know it's
- 5:04Speaker 2: not going to come down in the time soon.
- 5:06Speaker 3: What do you guys say, I don't I don't know
- 5:08Speaker 3: if there's an answer currently, right, Like the FED being
- 5:12Speaker 3: involved is, I mean, yeah, there's things they can do,
- 5:14Speaker 3: but what can they really do at this point Because
- 5:17Speaker 3: in a few months, who was going to be the
- 5:19Speaker 3: FED chair right, like you think about it. I mean,
- 5:22Speaker 3: he could come in, that's a great point. He could
- 5:24Speaker 3: come into the position and figure out a way to
- 5:27Speaker 3: lower rates. But if oil is what's leading us as
- 5:30Speaker 3: the cause of inflation and we're still at war, then
- 5:33Speaker 3: you really can't lower rates. And that's when when you
- 5:36Speaker 3: look at the reports from February to March in terms
- 5:39Speaker 3: of inflation, we got two point four. Now we're at
- 5:41Speaker 3: three point three. It's really inflated because of energy, right,
- 5:46Speaker 3: if you think about the energy caused oil's going up,
- 5:49Speaker 3: that has been the leading us of it. Yeah, and
- 5:52Speaker 3: if we don't have a curtail on that, if we
- 5:54Speaker 3: can't figure out how we lower these prices, How we
- 5:56Speaker 3: come out of this war, how we open the straight Yeah,
- 6:00Speaker 3: we're gonna We're gonna be in this cycle for a
- 6:01Speaker 3: little bit more because the Fat their job is to
- 6:05Speaker 3: make sure that the economy stays at a stable point
- 6:08Speaker 3: and we don't go to it stagflation or go into depression.
- 6:12Speaker 3: But it's the leading cause of the actual conflict is oil. Yeah,
- 6:18Speaker 3: what what do you do when your your your administration,
- 6:22Speaker 3: your president can't seem to figure this out.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Well, the only thing you can do is invest and
- 6:28Speaker 1: make more money, because inflation is something that's not gonna
- 6:30Speaker 1: go away. It's impossible. As long as the government keeps
- 6:33Speaker 1: printing money, then the money is going to become less
- 6:35Speaker 1: valuable as individuals.
- 6:36Speaker 3: You're saying, excuse me, you're saying, the only thing that
- 6:39Speaker 3: we can do as individuals invest. Yeah, I was saying,
- 6:41Speaker 3: like the fat, what are they supposed to what can
- 6:42Speaker 3: they do?
- 6:42Speaker 1: Well? Have better monetary policy, and then the governance can
- 6:46Speaker 1: have better governance. And this war is helping to increase
- 6:49Speaker 1: inflation because we're spending money, we're increasing our debt. So
- 6:53Speaker 1: there are there are measures that can be taken to
- 6:56Speaker 1: cool cool off. You can you can definitely do a
- 7:00Speaker 1: variety of different things make money tighter, but then there's
- 7:04Speaker 1: side effects with that. So that's that's why it's very
- 7:06Speaker 1: important when they want to lower infreate, when they want
- 7:08Speaker 1: to lower inflation, they make money tighter. But by making
- 7:12Speaker 1: money tighter, that can if you if you're not careful,
- 7:15Speaker 1: you can cause a recession.
- 7:19Speaker 3: And if you look at the environment from the top
- 7:23Speaker 3: down where we talk about you know, these credit default
- 7:25Speaker 3: swaps and these big companies, more institutions of figuring out, hey,
- 7:29Speaker 3: we're putting limits on what you can get. I mean,
- 7:31Speaker 3: the environment is kind of almost in that that secordless,
- 7:34Speaker 3: like hey we might we might be there anyway. So
- 7:37Speaker 3: it's it's a fine fine balance that they have to
- 7:39Speaker 3: figure out.
