- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Once again, oh yeah.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: Oh, check out this hair.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: It is wild.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: This is this, my friends, ha ha ha ha.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: Is Lake Hair Don't Care.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: Mm-mm.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: Oh, hey.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: Definitely not lacking on the volume department.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: Maybe a little bit frizzy.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: But here we go.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: I feel like just gotta let it down.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: It's still gotta dry out.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: We just came off the lake, Big Cedar Lake, which is honestly my slice of heaven.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: It is my happy place in the summer, and every spare moment, every spare chance that I have, you'll find me out in the water somewhere.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: That's why Moana is my favorite Disney princess.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: I just watched the live action.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: Did anyone else catch that movie?
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: If you haven't seen it, you gotta go see it.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: And I guess that's top of mind today because we stopped at Subway and they gave us like 20 Moana cups because they said that promotion was over.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: And so they're like, here, take all the Moana plastic cups, which I was like, great, because we love drinking out of those, those, those cups at the home home.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: It's kind of like we collect them along the way, and that's what we drink our like everyday water for of, and they're all over.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: But now we have Moana Edition.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Anyways, in my past life, I was most definitely a mermaid, and we determined that my tail was a rainbow tail, and it was really fun going around and asking the kids all like if they were a mermaid, what color would their tail be?
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: And it was so awesome because they were all different.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: So we're like, mine would be gold, mine would be teal, mine would be hot pink, and that's you know, just going around the kids, it just I got such a kick out of it.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: So, what color would your tail be if you were called to the sea at one point in your life and having those moana or mermaid vibes?
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: Well, moana separate, but mermaid, definitely.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: Ha ha ha! Rainbow! I can just see it now.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: Oh, with the with and then it'll be like the sea hair.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: I love beach hair, I think it is amazing.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: That's why the lake has like the next best effect for me.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: But, anyways, that we were out on the on the boat today, and there was like nobody out there.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: Literally, there was like one other boat on the lake, and I'm like, wow, this is wild! Thank you, thank you for this day.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: Let us rejoice and be glad.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: I just felt so incredibly blessed and grateful to be able to go out there and enjoy the lake and spin the kids around on the tube all day, and they have like the the best time of their lives, given those best childhood memories.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: And I mean, who needs Noah's Ark when you have the tube?
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: These kids and their reactions as they're hanging onto the tube.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: I mean, I give them a hell ride.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: I have like no mercy.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: I'm hammering down.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: I'm like, let's go, kids, hang on, and I'm like, and right now our power steering is out on the boat.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: So you're like, it's like that's why I call her a wild my bucking bronco because it's so I'm like cranking on the steering.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: I'm like, let's go, as I'm like trying to like do the toilet bowl cleansing for them, and they're just hanging on for dear life.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: They're like, woo! And then like once they survive like the huge wave and get mad air, they're just giggling, just laughing.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: And then I'm like, nah, and they'll be like trying to tell me how to drive from like slow down, and I'm like, mm, like what didn't didn't hit, didn't quite hear that over the music here.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: Come again.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: You want what to go faster?
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: Bm.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: But I love that when my husband Danny drives because he just does it with ease and grace, and you can tell he's not out there to hurt the children.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: I'm not either.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: Let me guess, I'm not either.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: But I know these late kids are built tough, like they're just built different.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: But Danny, he has a little bit more tact about him, and he gives them one heck of a ride, and they still get mad air and they still are laughing.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: But then I get to sit in the passenger seat and just enjoy their reactions as they're on this tube.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: And my daughter Nevea has been riding middle, like steady the entire summer.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: She won't give it up.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: And Danny like asked me today, he's like, Why does Neveea always get middle?
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: I'm like, Princess, princess gets middle.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: I don't know why they have it worked out.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: It's working, they're not arguing about it, so we're good.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: We're good on this.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: And they're like, All right, like Nixon, get in the middle, like try it out.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: And he lasted for like a couple of minutes.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: He's like, All right, Nevi.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: He knew she wanted it.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: He's such a gentleman that way.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: He's like, All right, Nevi, come on, come on, come on in the middle.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: You, you do your thing.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: And her, and then her Bessie Harper is on the other side.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: And I guess they have some really, you know, in-depth conversations while they're out there.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: Who knows what they're saying?
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: If you could just be a fly on the wall, but uh, it's so great.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: And I made sure that when I was uh riding with the kids today, I like had like this moment of like presence, and I looked back at the kids and like kids, kids, like look, I want you to listen to this, check it out.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: And they're like, what mom?
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: What?
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, I just want you to know that these are the best days of my life.
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: Like, literally, literally, hands down, the best days of my life is being able to spend that quality time and summers with my kids.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: What a blessing! Because I know that moments are like are so fleeting, they go by so fast.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: That's the most, the biggest thing that we hear, right?
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: Like, all is as parents, if you can relate, it's and that's what you hear from like a generational standpoint is like the they go enjoy a while last because they go so fast.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: That's exactly what I'm gonna do.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: And I'm being called to be in this present moment here with you.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: And speaking about those beautiful children, I just wanted to kind of laugh about my last podcast with them.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: They have been asking to, you know, start a podcast, be on the podcast all summer long.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: And it was just like the perfect timer.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: I'm like, hey, you guys want to do the podcast today?
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: And they're like, yes.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: And so I was like, all right, this is good.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: And and I got them all set up.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: We are at the out at the farm and got them all set up, and you know, you know, they got their seating arrangements worked out, and again, Nivea had to be in the middle.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: She kind of like threw a fit about it.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: She's like, I'm in the middle.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: I'm like, okay, like the princess.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: I mean, pick your battles.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: And so she ended up being in the middle, and these kids just, I love their energy and their innocence and their naivete.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: It's just, I'm continually inspired by their boldness and their courage and how they choose to show up online.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: You know, I try to tell them, I'm like, it's like a podcast.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: You gotta keep talking and you gotta, you know, you don't, you can't really like it, doesn't translate when you, you know, upload it to Buzz Sprout.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: Like, if you're interacting and they're like, no, mom, we're they're later just like, no, we're writing our own script, we're doing what we want and how we want to do it.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I have to step out.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: Like, uh when I made that like contract up in my head, I'm like, if I am to allow the kids to have this creative reign on their episode of the podcast, like I have to relinquish all of that control.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: So it was a hard exercise for me to do because so much of me wanted to like stand by and be like, what are they saying?
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: And like censor it a little bit, like, ex nay the secret A, you know, like, or whatever.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: You know, kids say the darndest things, but I couldn't.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: I was like, that wouldn't be authentic, that wouldn't be true, and I really wanted to just them show up, uh, you know, as they are and and how they want to.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: So I had to like remove myself from the scene, and I just was like outside in the garden, and I was just like, you know, I don't know what they're saying in there, but Lord knows it's purpose, and that's exactly what they need to be saying when they need to be saying it.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: And go figure, they at one point had like 50 viewers on the live stream, and they're like, like, they were like celebrating hardcore.
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: It was like screaming, and I like that's the moment where I like came running back in the room.
- 8:15SPEAKER_00: I'm like, is everything okay?
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: Like, is everyone alright?
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: Because honestly, I didn't know.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: And they're like, oh yeah, no, we're good.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: We got 50 viewers on this.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: I'm like, dang, like, I'm gonna take notes.
- 8:24SPEAKER_00: Like, it just goes to prove that yes, when you show up as your bold, unapolog unapologetically authentic self, it resonates with people and like almost gives people permission to do the same in that.
- 8:39SPEAKER_00: And I thought that was just such a beautiful lesson that unfolded through the children and through and through their eyes.
- 8:46SPEAKER_00: And then, of course, we got such a big kick of it on the way home.
- 8:50SPEAKER_00: I live about 25 minutes away from our farm property, and on our way home, we listened to the podcast, and that was just so funny.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: Listening to them and their banter, and you know, again, you know, for it to be translated onto the podcast, I just threw my hands up and it was like full surrender.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I don't know how this is all gonna come across, but hey, I'm glad they had that opportunity to do it.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: And who knows, like from the seed that that plant did with them, what that will percolate.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: I mean, God only knows, but I'm excited to find out because I've been reminded time and time again that it's not about me, it's about the future generation, the the children, and and especially with them walking in faith and having the spiritual foundation that they are growing up with, which I never did.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: I thought that was really, really special.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: And hey, I just pray every day to be be more like them in childlike wonder, in awe, and with enthusiasm and excitement.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: I believe that's one of my gifts is the enthusiasm and the excitement.
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: I'm just super pumped.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: Uh, we were talking about that at uh worship practice yesterday, and they were like, Ashley, like you're so enthusiastic.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: And I know it's because uh, you know, God rolled me that way, God made me that way, but also, you know, I have something to be really excited about, and and it is that is the walking by faith, not by fear and and or or by the flesh.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: And I feel like that's where I'm at in my Bible right now as I'm reading through the Joyce Meyer Everyday Life Bible edition, and she's so amazing, she gives you like life points and speak the words and breaks it down for you so it's easy to understand.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: I've I've mentioned this before in past podcasts, but where I'm at uh right now, oh, I gotta put my my little Mary as my bookmark back in there.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: Hey, but it kind of this is all gonna tie in together from where I'm going with this podcast.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: So I'm gonna get there, hang in there with me.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: So in Galatians 4, 24 through 31, the Bible speaks about two covenants, okay?
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: Describing two ways in which we can live.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: And the first way we choose to live by is by the works of our own flesh.
- 11:09SPEAKER_00: What we do, what we bring to the table, our gifts, our talents, you know, our, you know, how we do it in our authentic self, showing up like that, which is wonderful.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: We make our own plans and struggle to make things happen our way in our timing.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: This describes the natural way, the normal way that, you know, most people like you and I live.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: It's just, it's just how we are.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: Ego takes over, and that's what it is.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: Uh, but it is the way, it is a way that produces every kind of misery, as it says here.
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: We struggle, we become frustrated.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: We got the why, why me?
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: Why did it happen the way?
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: How did it not get how did it get here?
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: And we become frail and end up weary and worn out, we lose our enthusiasm, and we're ho-hum, you know, and then and and that's most of the time we're confused, defeated, and have no peace or joy.
- 12:05SPEAKER_00: And yo, we're not called to live like that at all.
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: Not in the slightest.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: No way, no, there is this this life is so so good and so juicy from the fruit of our faith.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: And the second way, so this is the way that we're being called to live, is is super naturally, supernaturally, okay?
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: By the power of God.
- 12:28SPEAKER_00: And by having the Holy Spirit inside us, that is how we're living in this super unnatural way, okay?
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: We live by faith, we're trusting God to do what needs to be done in our lives, and this way is described in the Bible as a new and living way.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: Hebrews 10 20 is where that is is quoted from.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: And this new way produces peace, joy, ease, and success.
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: In this supernatural way of walking by faith.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: And it's a choice, right?
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: It is definitely a choice, and it is something that you know, hanging out with children and they're in their youth.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: My kids are 11 and 12.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: Nevea is 12, and Nixon just turned 11.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: He's my Leo boy, and Nevea is my Scorpio.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: She's sting sometimes, but it's all in love.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: That passion is real.
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: And you know, that's how they just seem so supernatural to me because they automatically do this thing.
- 13:32SPEAKER_00: They're living in joy, they're living in peace, they're and they're successful in everything they put their mind to.
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: And I just feel like coming back to that, coming back home, that remembering of that's how we were called to be when we are chosen, when we accept the gift of salvation, such a beautiful thing.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: And I'm just super stoked to be sharing the good news.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: And that's why I keep showing up on this podcast, because every day I'm getting a sweet little tidbit from the Bible.
- 13:59SPEAKER_00: And I want to, you know, especially invite you to get in the word and and have it speak to your soul.
- 14:07SPEAKER_00: It's amazing because this is all just really like positive reinforcements, some juicy nuggets and and tidbits, especially in the New Testament.
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: The Old Testament is like more about the law with Moses and the commandments and all that.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: The New Testament is all about Jesus and how he saved us and that we're forgiven of all of our sins, and that's on a daily basis.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: Like each day I feel like I could have reacted different or responded different or said something different, and you know, it can get in your own head sometimes, but I'm reminded then as I through worship, through listening to music, through singing his praises, through getting into his word, through chatting with other chosen ones that we are called to live supernaturally.
- 14:49SPEAKER_00: And that's just so encouraging for me.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: And that's why I'm so excited, and that's why I keep showing up.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: And so, in lieu of all this like childlike wonder and goodness, I somehow Well, I should, they don't really have a choice.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: I mean, we can make it seem like they are choosing, but I made the kids come with me today on an epic adventure.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: We we got pulled over this on our way to this spot, and I was going only eight over, okay?
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: Just eight over.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: I don't feel like I feel like okay, 15, yes, pull me over 20, you're getting a ticket, like hands down.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: But eight, eight over?
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: I mean, I was not even missing.
- 15:34SPEAKER_00: So, so I get pulled over and I'm kind of like, oh, I know the drill here.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: Like, I I have a lead foot.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: I've been getting citations since I've gotten my license.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: I've had to take the class to like reestablish the points.
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: And honestly, like, had this came at any like in July, one of my tickets dropped off from last year.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: Otherwise, I probably would have been at 12 points.
- 15:56SPEAKER_00: Not that I'm breaking.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: This is something that I pray about all the time.
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: To just ride slow, homie.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: Like, come on, like, what are you in such a hurry?
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: And just tell myself, even when I'm like speeding like a wild woman because I'm running late and I'm like rambling hard, like I'm only saving a minute, maybe two.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: And is that worth it?
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: Is that really worth it?
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: So, oh, so anyways, I'm cruising along, you know, I'm like headed to Arlington, Wisconsin, and which is about an hour and 15 minutes away from my house.
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: And, you know, the kids are in the back playing that 99 nights on their phones.
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: That was the deal.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: I could let them play, be on their phones on the ride there and in the ride home, but not while we were there.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: They could not be on their phones.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: They had to leave them in the car, which they did, thank goodness.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: But so they were playing the 99 nights, and I'm like, oh shoot.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: The officer came right upon me, like rode me hard.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: And for a while, and I was like, oh, oh.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, ah, kids, I'm getting pulled over.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: I'm like, is everyone buckled?
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: Which I knew they were like, yes, we're buckled.
- 16:58SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, is everyone?
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: I'm like, put the phones away.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: We don't need to be distracted.
- 17:01SPEAKER_00: They're like, all right, we'll put we'll put our phones away.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: And and then there is like a younger officer that came up to my car and he was like, ma'am, do you know that I do you know why I pulled you over today?
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: I'm like, uh-huh.
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: He's like, Yep, a clock's going over.
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: Eight over.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: And I was like, okay, eight over.
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: I'm like, she's like, did you realize that?
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: I'm like, yeah, I had my cruise control on, which I did.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: I had it on.
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: Eight over.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: So, so what is that, 63 miles per hour?
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: Which I thought was reasonable, right?
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: But he was like, Have you been, do you have any recent tickets?
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: I was like, uh-huh, yes, I do.
- 17:40SPEAKER_00: Yep, definitely do.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: And he's like, like, how recent?
- 17:42SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I think within like the last six months, I just got my last ticket.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: He's like, oh, he's like, well, what about before then?
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: Did you have any tickets then?
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, mm-hmm, yep, definitely.
- 17:53SPEAKER_00: Tickets aren't on there.
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: And he's like, he's like, really?
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: He's like, so you you have a lead foot.
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I do.
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: I'm like, but and he's like, well, where are you headed?
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: I'm like, Arlington.
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: I'm headed to, and I kind of pointed at my navigation.
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I'm headed to Hempfest.
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: And he's like, Hempfest?
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: And I was like, yep, headed to Hempfest.
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: I'm like, it's actually a field day put on by UW Madison College, you know, UW of UW, University of Wisconsin, Madison, the college.
- 18:20SPEAKER_00: They're doing a research and research event at their facility.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: And he's like, oh, he's like, okay.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: He's like, Arlington days is going on.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: I didn't know if you were headed there.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: And I was like, nope, at a damn fest.
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: And he's like, okay.
- 18:33SPEAKER_00: He's like, look, he's like, I don't want to give you a ticket.
- 18:36SPEAKER_00: He's like, I'm gonna, he's like, I'm just gonna check your record and make sure everything checks out and I'll get you on your way.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: And I was like, cute.
- 18:42SPEAKER_00: I was like, does that mean I'm not getting a ticket?
- 18:44SPEAKER_00: So I was sitting in my car wondering, I'm like, I don't know.
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: Like, he's he's gonna be a man of his word.
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: He pretty much told me he's not giving me a ticket.
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: And he comes back, and sure enough, he's like, have fun at having fast and slow down.
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: He's like, go the speed limit.
- 18:57SPEAKER_00: And I was like, aye, kept in.
- 18:59SPEAKER_00: And the whole time the kids were so sweet, they were like cheering.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: It's like it's good, mom, like that's awesome.
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: Like, but you need to slow down, like, just go the speed limit.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: And then I had to be like, oh my gosh, mom of the year over here.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: Mom of the year, these kids are witnessing me speed, and how do I think they're gonna be driving around?
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: And they haven't they don't have the experience.
- 19:18SPEAKER_00: So something dangerous is no, I'm not affirming this.
- 19:21SPEAKER_00: Actually, no, not going down this path of worry and fear.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: They are gonna be all right because they learn that lesson right along there with me.
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: If you don't click it, you'll get a ticket.
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: And if you speed, there is no need.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: Because, geez, now they know.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: And that was I it's nerve-wracking anytime you get pulled over, right?
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: Like, how many of you guys like, I'm like kind of like, not that I was like shaking hard, but I don't know, you know, and then you get out, make sure you have your license, your driver's license, this.
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: I actually accidentally almost gave him my credit card, and he's like, nope, no need the credit card.
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: So I was like, Oh, okay.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: But I'm so again grateful and thankful and blessed that despite my past, despite all the last grievances, he he chose love.
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: And I feel like, I don't know, call me crazy, and I'm like working in this spiritual awesomeness and everything that I do, but like I felt like forgiving in that moment, and he didn't hold my past against me.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: And he probably knew in his heart that eight miles an hour probably didn't warn a ticket, but such a great reminder to slow my roll.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: And have self-control.
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: I feel like the self-control bit is really being tested in my universe at the moment.
- 20:41SPEAKER_00: I'm at that age now, right?
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: Where it's like, I can't eat what I want when I want to eat it.
- 20:46SPEAKER_00: I can't be speeding around town for no other reason than I just like to go fast.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: Like, can't say what I want to say and how I want to say it all the time because that wouldn't be almost out of love.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: And let's face it, like the devil is attacking, like at every angle.
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: He sees something good, something of like of of love, of value, and he wants to bring it down.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: And I could have easily chosen a different reaction when I got pulled over.
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: I could have been cursing in my car, I could have, you know, like this is gonna hold me up.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: But no, I just chose like the piece that surpassed all understanding and just kind of went with the flow.
- 21:26SPEAKER_00: And honestly, if I would have got the ticket, like I would have had to eat it.
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: And I hope that, you know, I would have known my audience of my of the three children in the back that are watching and learning.
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: And I feel like today I broke some chains.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: I broke some chains, and you better bitch your britches that I put on my cruise control yet again, because it's like a smart cruise control, so like adapts, adaptive cruise, I believe it's called.
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: So it adapts to the speeds of the cars in front of me and gives me like a safe length.
- 21:57SPEAKER_00: But I wet did cruise the whole.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Whole rest of the way, which was like about another 45 minutes, on the exact speed limit.
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: Like not a mile under, not a mile over.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: I went exactly, and honestly, sometimes I felt like I was going in slow motion.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: Like I was like, oh, I just wanna ha ha old habits die hard.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: But it at the end of the trip, because I also did it on my way home, it felt really good.
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: It just felt really good to just be like cruising, you know?
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: Like I feel like I've fully, fully embodied the cruise control today.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: And cruise control.
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: Just cruising on through the the beautiful countryside and being able to enjoy my surroundings.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: Of course, staying off my phone.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: I can't, cannot do it.
- 22:51SPEAKER_00: It's such a hard habit to break, but I am guilty.
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: I'm guilty.
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: And that is, I've been reminded time and time again, too, that from some close calls that I need to stay off my cell phone.
- 23:01SPEAKER_00: No matter, I mean, it's attempting, but now I'm like, not today, devil.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: No, no.
- 23:08SPEAKER_00: That is the devil trying to tempt me.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: And then that's how fast accidents happen, just like that, right?
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: Like, we don't intend to get pulled over.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: We don't intend to swerve off the road.
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: We don't intend cause mayhem, but it's creeping around every corner.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: And I just say, not today, devil, not ever.
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: But I gotta do the preventative measures to be able to do that.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: And for the future generation, like my kids are watching.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: So we made it safely without any citations and a great reminder of self-control and just being able to ride the wave and being on cruise.
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: And we made it to the 2026 UW Madison Hemp Research Field Day.
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: I loved it.
- 23:59SPEAKER_00: I've been to the Field Day once before, so I kind of knew what to expect.
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: And I really enjoyed myself two years ago when I had gone.
- 24:06SPEAKER_00: And I learned so much.
- 24:08SPEAKER_00: And being able to listen to the experts, the doctors, the researchers that are putting in the work with culminating all their all the resources into this valuable research for hemp, to be able to listen to that was just you can't put a price on that.
- 24:27SPEAKER_00: And then to be surrounded by fellow hempers of all different walks that have touched and worked at the plant in so many different ways.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: I've just seen this time, I walked away feeling so positive, so so optimistic.
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: And it was just really exciting to kind of re-invigorate my zest for the plant.
- 24:53SPEAKER_00: Because I'm gonna be honest with y'all, this is the first year in so we grew for seven seasons since 2019, and this is the first season we have not grown hemp.
- 25:09SPEAKER_00: Not for not for cannabinoids, not for research, not you know, even experimentation.
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: It's just just no hemp because the because I have a lot of dissolute and to use for my product line and the products that I'm using right now, and I have what I need at the end of the day.
- 25:35SPEAKER_00: And it just seemed like a waste of resources, especially now that the the UW extension program is not extending to partner farms.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: They are just growing on their plot there this season due to lack of funding because of all the uncertainty.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: So I don't know.
- 25:53SPEAKER_00: I feel like that's what also drawn me there was because I really wanted to connect to the plant, and I missed her.
- 25:59SPEAKER_00: I missed my my cannabis homie.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: I was like, hey, girl, come back to me.
- 26:06SPEAKER_00: I do really miss her.
- 26:07SPEAKER_00: And it was glorious.
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: There, they started off the day with coffee, registration, some donuts.
- 26:15SPEAKER_00: Uh, we got to hear from Dr.
- 26:17SPEAKER_00: Shelby and Philip Alberti about their research this season and what the what to expect out in the fields.
- 26:24SPEAKER_00: And then we loaded up on the the wagons and headed back out to the fields.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: And those fields, the energy out there is just awesome.
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, everything is so lush, so green, and they keep it really natural.
- 26:38SPEAKER_00: So it turns out that the UW owns like 200 acres in that area that they that they farm on from all different types of crops and work with different farmers to be able to do so.
- 26:51SPEAKER_00: So the the expanse of all the research that is being conducted on this property is is way more than than I know or the information I'm privy to.
- 27:01SPEAKER_00: But I feel like it was just wonderful to be able to witness some well cared for land that you could really tell people had the knowledge and the know-how and and the wherewithal to be able to do such wonderful research.
- 27:18SPEAKER_00: So we went back to the high cannabinoid hemp fields and the girls were looking lovely.
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: And it was wonderful.
- 27:26SPEAKER_00: We got to hear from a lady named Grace, who is a in the doctorate program, who I seen her two years ago.
- 27:33SPEAKER_00: She did a whole research dissertation on companion planting with hemp, which is really interesting.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: And this year, uh her main what's the word for it, her main the control variables, thank you.
- 27:49SPEAKER_00: Think through that variables were the nitrogen levels and cover cropping.
- 27:54SPEAKER_00: So they used uh clover as a cover crop in some parts of the field, some parts not, and then 50% nitrogen added to the soil in the beginning of the year, and then ones that had no additives to the soil.
- 28:06SPEAKER_00: And then it was really interesting that over those last couple years, they partnered with a weather radar device that is in the field and can give them readings of the exact weather conditions that would affect the plants.
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: And so I just feel like they're really putting in the good work and and they have such passion and curiosity, and they're so inquisitive about the plant and the way that they just go right to the data.
- 28:39SPEAKER_00: Like data doesn't lie, right?
- 28:41SPEAKER_00: Like science is backed by numbers, and you can some people learn that way, right?
- 28:48SPEAKER_00: Like, that's how that by seeing it black and white, and the data that's been inputted, it's like, okay, like I get this, I can see the trend here.
- 28:57SPEAKER_00: We can really kind of understand in going off by numbers, which is concrete.
- 29:04SPEAKER_00: So having that data for Wisconsin for regionalized genetics, for climate type and soil, and different trends as far as within their pathology department, identifying diseases and then procuring and cross-breeding new genetics in plants that are not susceptible to the different funguses that are out there.
- 29:31SPEAKER_00: It's really exciting times.
- 29:32SPEAKER_00: And also, they did some a lot of concentration on the purple nurple of the plant, the anthoc anthocyanines, um, which make the plant purple.
- 29:44SPEAKER_00: And so making those as desired traits and wanting to breed plants with more purple so then they could deliver to the market because for smokable flower, that is what sells the most.
- 29:57SPEAKER_00: So, anyways, really interesting research.
- 30:00SPEAKER_00: I could talk hemp like all day.
- 30:02SPEAKER_00: I just absolutely love it, as you can tell.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: I feel like that has been like the that was like really the even before my spiritual journey, that's like the mission that I put on, that I was put on is to is to to grow hemp here in Wisconsin and be a pioneer in that industry.
- 30:22SPEAKER_00: I have no doubt that that is like one of the the missions that I need to see through because I get excited, I have more enthusiasm, I like eat, breathe, slip, sleep, hemp, and Jesus.
- 30:34SPEAKER_00: So those two things, well, of course, and mom life, but that's another, as I as I alluded to, but loved the high cannabinoid plot.
- 30:46SPEAKER_00: And I got to speak with Dr.
- 30:48SPEAKER_00: Shelby, who has been the president of the project and has been overseeing it since inception.
- 30:55SPEAKER_00: And it was love to be lovely to be able to pick her brain and you know, harvesting and end outcomes, and she couldn't really get into legality at all.
- 31:06SPEAKER_00: She had to remain very, you know, uh unpartisan or bipart unpartial to the whole political scene, which I understand, but she's presenting facts, she's print preventing presenting facts when asked as the authority of cannabis here in Wisconsin.
- 31:26SPEAKER_00: And again, numbers don't lie, and I think they're proving to the point, like we're we can grow really good stuff right here in Wisconsin, and and it's not that hard, and there's not many inputs that go into it except from you know, like physical labor, you know, handwork.
- 31:42SPEAKER_00: Um, but it's a weed.
- 31:43SPEAKER_00: And I loved that they did uh studies in the with the feral hemp that was found around here in Wisconsin, collecting all different kinds of samples and then you know, collecting the seed from them and then planting them here.
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: And it was the feral hemp that was most disease resistant.
- 32:01SPEAKER_00: Go, go figure that.
- 32:02SPEAKER_00: I mean, riddle me that that nature knows what it's doing, right?
- 32:06SPEAKER_00: And that it's adapted through time to be able to survive, and that's what plants do.
- 32:12SPEAKER_00: And so I loved to be able to feel that energy, you know, get those terpenes on my hands.
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: And I also was able to speak with the legislator um in Madison.
- 32:23SPEAKER_00: I forg I I don't know his name though.
- 32:25SPEAKER_00: I'd have to, we can, we can reference that down the way.
- 32:29SPEAKER_00: But he was a young fellow, and he was talking not only about cannabinoids, but he was also talking about psilocybin.
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: So I don't know where Madison's at in as far as the magic mushrooms field, but you go to dispensaries now and you can find psychoactive effects from mushrooms at the dispensaries now.
- 32:52SPEAKER_00: So that automatically lends a hand hand to the funny kind, the psilocybin, the the silly mushrooms, where they're altering, but I mean, really thinking of it as medicine.
- 33:03SPEAKER_00: And so I feel like I really got that respect from him about the psilocybin and where are we at with that?
- 33:10SPEAKER_00: Because we're all here, you know, championing hemp and you know, legalize hemp, grow your own, you know, freedom, free the plant.
- 33:21SPEAKER_00: I guess that's where I'm at with it, because it is medicine.
- 33:24SPEAKER_00: But what about the fungi, right?
- 33:26SPEAKER_00: Like, let's not let psilocybin in the background.
- 33:29SPEAKER_00: So I love that he brought that point of view, and then not a lot of people like to talk about psilocybin because that's too taboo.
- 33:35SPEAKER_00: Like, we don't talk about the funny mushrooms, right?
- 33:39SPEAKER_00: But they've also been used since ancient time, and they they they have a lot of different theories about the evolution of people, you know, just how we evolved, and maybe mushrooms had a part of it.
- 33:52SPEAKER_00: I don't really know what to believe.
- 33:53SPEAKER_00: I had to just talk from my own experience, but I love that that conversation was on the table, and you know, all these high cannabinoid contents, conversations.
- 34:02SPEAKER_00: Well, what about the the fungi too?
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: Because you see fungi also out in nature in the mycelium network that runs through the soil plays a big hand in the success of the plants.
- 34:14SPEAKER_00: All plants, right?
- 34:15SPEAKER_00: It's their communication network.
- 34:17SPEAKER_00: So I'm just really interested to see, you know, if there is any rumblings for research on psilocybin, you know, here locally, because why not?
- 34:28SPEAKER_00: I mean, you hear about it everywhere else in Oregon and Washington, California.
- 34:32SPEAKER_00: You don't have to really go far anymore to seek out that type of fungi, but the more, the more the research that they can do, like what was happening early on before the pro the cannabis prohibition here, they were doing research on um psilocybin to treat anxiety and depression.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: And it was clinical studies that were happening, and they were getting amazing results.
- 35:01SPEAKER_00: I mean, they one dose of psilocybin with, you know, in a controlled setting with a tripsitter, someone to make sure that you were guided on this experience, but more results from one trip than a year's worth, years worth of medication.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: So just kind of and and coming back to the science on that and and having the concrete findings that can be presented to the public.
- 35:30SPEAKER_00: And so I just feel like that's that that is like the new wave as well.
- 35:33SPEAKER_00: And I feel like whenever you talk about mushrooms, like people's ears perk up.
- 35:36SPEAKER_00: They're like just like hemp, like just like cannabis.
- 35:39SPEAKER_00: People are like, wait, what about that?
- 35:41SPEAKER_00: What?
- 35:41SPEAKER_00: What?
- 35:42SPEAKER_00: Because we're all searching, right?
- 35:43SPEAKER_00: We're all searching, and I feel like it's harnessing the power of what God has created, literally, like it's natural, right?
- 35:50SPEAKER_00: And harnessing that and being able to help people with it, improve people's quality of life.
- 35:56SPEAKER_00: Okay, oh my gosh.
- 35:57SPEAKER_00: I went, I went off there on a little tangent away from the UW Madison Hemp Research Day, presented by the Ellison Lab.
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: But I think it's a good opening conversation opener because I heard some rumblings today.
- 36:10SPEAKER_00: People were talking about it, and I feel like that was just that was just positive and reassuring that, like, hey, like we are, we are moving forward.
- 36:17SPEAKER_00: We're not taking ten steps back with this hemp ban.
- 36:19SPEAKER_00: There was a lot of talk about that today amongst the peers of what the hemp ban means.
- 36:25SPEAKER_00: Some somebody said that, and she's very reliable, she's very well versed on the law and where things stand right now here in Wisconsin.
- 36:34SPEAKER_00: And she said that somewhere within the bill, there was something about eradicating the seed banks for hemp.
- 36:44SPEAKER_00: So any prior seed that has not been documented or you know, the the chain of custody isn't there, have to be gone.
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: So that now that, as much as I don't want to like resort to my like my natural response, I'm gonna respond supernaturally, and we're not gonna be fearful, and we're gonna have so much faith that we're gonna hang on to our seeds, right?
- 37:09SPEAKER_00: Like seeds are everything.
- 37:11SPEAKER_00: And I feel like it really starts to get scary when you see a lot of this seedless fruit, seedless vegetables, because they're taking away that power.
- 37:21SPEAKER_00: Talk about control to be able to grow your own.
- 37:24SPEAKER_00: And I was also having conversations about this about, you know, of course, it's wonderful that pretty much anyone, if you're not a felon, can grow hemp here in Wisconsin.
- 37:35SPEAKER_00: All it takes is a background check and a small minimal fee.
- 37:40SPEAKER_00: I feel like it's it could even be free at this point.
- 37:42SPEAKER_00: I mean, don't quote me on this if it sounds like$20.
- 37:45SPEAKER_00: But to apply for your hemp license and you can legally grow hemp.
- 37:50SPEAKER_00: And you can grow it for research, you can grow it for personal use, although you'd want a bigger plot because you do have to get it tested by the state, and that's working through your local department of agriculture to hook up with a test and then some online stuff too.
- 38:04SPEAKER_00: So, yes, there is some compliance, but I think that farmers are used to this.
- 38:08SPEAKER_00: People that grow any kinds of crops have to do crop reporting.
- 38:11SPEAKER_00: So I feel like that is very normal.
- 38:13SPEAKER_00: Um, there just might be a little bit more red tape with the legality uh surrounding hemp.
- 38:18SPEAKER_00: Um, and that's why I had more, a little more stringent testing that's happening there.
- 38:21SPEAKER_00: So that's like the extra layer of security, but needs to be because really, I mean, give the child can give them an inch, they're gonna take a mile, right?
- 38:32SPEAKER_00: So, anyways, I understand it, but the hemp ban, you know, was pushed back a month, so it was supposed to be in effect in November, and now they didn't make it till December, in which essentially the loophole is going to be closed.
- 38:45SPEAKER_00: And I was talking to the peers, I'm like, okay, so like we're all in agreement here that THCA is illegal, I don't care which way you slice the pie, it is illegal to grow here in Wisconsin.
- 38:59SPEAKER_00: If you are consuming Delta 8, Delta 9, or THCA, or not Delta 9, I'm sorry, um, delta 10.
- 39:08SPEAKER_00: Delta 9 is the only cannabinoid that they're regulating right now, that 0.3% Delta 9.
- 39:15SPEAKER_00: But there's other plant derivatives that including THCA that can grow, be grown naturally in the ground for a high concentration of that single cannabinoid.
- 39:27SPEAKER_00: And and that is what people are selling these plant derivative derivatives.
- 39:35SPEAKER_00: But it is illegal to grow that here in Wisconsin because we are a total THC state as a farmer.
- 39:42SPEAKER_00: When we when they have the Department of Agriculture, the USDA come out and test my plans, they are testing for total THC here.
- 39:52SPEAKER_00: So all of what people are using here in Wisconsin, if they're getting it, choosing to go to the grocery store, to the gas station, or to our the other retailers out there that are able to sell this with a seller's permit, that's what you're consuming is from an out-of-state product because we cannot grow it here.
- 40:14SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 40:14SPEAKER_00: You might be able to get some Delta VIII derivatives from the lab, but that is something that has to be processed and is not of a natural source origin coming from the plant itself in that concentration.
- 40:30SPEAKER_00: It is, it is, they're isolating that single cannabinoid and removing it and reintroducing it back into products.
- 40:37SPEAKER_00: And that's Delta 8.
- 40:38SPEAKER_00: But THCA is different because it is the precursor to THCA.
- 40:44SPEAKER_00: So as soon as combustion is added, as soon as fire is lit on fire and you spark it up, that's when it knocks off that acid molecule, and now you have THC.
- 40:53SPEAKER_00: So mega loophole, but it's just wild to me that we're over here hosting, Wisconsin's hosting the biggest party, right?
- 41:03SPEAKER_00: We're like, woo, THC, hey, Delta A, Delta 10, all these deltas that are getting me high, and I don't need a med card, I don't need any kind of different licensing to be able to sell it, just a seller's permit.
- 41:17SPEAKER_00: And um I can grow and but we can't grow it.
- 41:21SPEAKER_00: Like, hello.
- 41:22SPEAKER_00: I'm scratching my head on this one.
- 41:24SPEAKER_00: And you know what?
- 41:25SPEAKER_00: When people are going out of state to dispensaries, they are also purchasing now THCA.
- 41:33SPEAKER_00: Do you want to know why?
- 41:34SPEAKER_00: Because they they their laws in their state aren't total T states, okay?
- 41:41SPEAKER_00: So they can legally grow it without special licensing.
- 41:45SPEAKER_00: So it's totally unregulated, right?
- 41:47SPEAKER_00: Like it's a full, it's full wild, wild Midwest, yes indeed.
- 41:50SPEAKER_00: And I mean, of course, there is some positives and negatives to this.
- 41:54SPEAKER_00: I want to, you know, err on the positive side.
- 41:56SPEAKER_00: I want to go down the rabbit hole of why it's it's it's it's it's wrong and how it stands because I think we know this.
- 42:03SPEAKER_00: We can use our common sense, we can come to our own conclusions, and you as a smart consumer should be able to know exactly what you're having.
- 42:12SPEAKER_00: And it's just that's not the case.
- 42:13SPEAKER_00: The chain of custody, no one's patrolling it.
- 42:16SPEAKER_00: The DEA is not working with FSA, the farm agencies, the communication, it's a communication breakdown with a plant that is totally misunderstood.
- 42:26SPEAKER_00: So I feel like working with the University of Wisconsin, we've grown with them before.
- 42:32SPEAKER_00: They've supplied our genetics, they've gave us the beans, and we've grown different cultivars.
- 42:37SPEAKER_00: Okay, it's not strains.
- 42:38SPEAKER_00: Strains is related to disease.
- 42:41SPEAKER_00: Okay, we're doing different genetics, different cultivars is what we're calling, you know, your indica dominant and your sativa or hybrid.
- 42:51SPEAKER_00: These are different cultivars, different strains that are gonna have different terpene profiles that have different effects on people depending on their dosage.
- 43:00SPEAKER_00: So we've grown with the UW Madison extension before.
- 43:04SPEAKER_00: They're wonderful to work with, very supportive, very eager to help, and with a true passion for the plant.
- 43:12SPEAKER_00: And I feel like witnessing my peers treat this plant with such reverence is really inspiring to me and makes me want to keep on getting on that soapbox time and time again, because I know that cannabis can help you and I.
- 43:28SPEAKER_00: And I know with the great framework and the right think tank and the and the stars aligning and the communication aflowing, and nobody inter, you know, stops the good brainstorming session.
- 43:38SPEAKER_00: There's no bad idea that we can rewrite the script for this plant.
- 43:43SPEAKER_00: And through education at the UW Madison University, being on the front lines of this makes me very hopeful for here in Wisconsin.
- 43:52SPEAKER_00: And so that brings me off on another little side tangent.
- 43:55SPEAKER_00: Like, who here, by a show of a comment, a like, a heart, or share.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: Has heard of our ECS, our endocannabinoid system.
- 44:06SPEAKER_00: We I had a conversation with a young fellow, and I'm like, why?
- 44:10SPEAKER_00: Did you learn anything about this in your anatomy physiology class?
- 44:13SPEAKER_00: About you know how the body works and this this magical system that was discovered, like, I don't know, 50 years ago.
- 44:21SPEAKER_00: Is anybody we're still not talking about this?
- 44:25SPEAKER_00: Like, I just conspiracy.
- 44:30SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 44:31SPEAKER_00: And that brings me back to my life point of going down that rabbit hole and by living by works of our own flesh, right?
- 44:40SPEAKER_00: Like we're thinking of like how and the why and the when and the ifs and the oh everything that is kind of that lower vibration, but that is not what cannabis is calling us to do, okay?
- 44:53SPEAKER_00: Cannabis is actually energetically calling us to achieve more balance, more presence, more homeostasis, all right?
- 45:04SPEAKER_00: And that's the good stuff right there.
- 45:05SPEAKER_00: We can think and act and feel and respond with level heads, right?
- 45:11SPEAKER_00: With all of the playing cards.
- 45:12SPEAKER_00: And let me remind you from the feral hemp that they have been studying here, has been around here in Wisconsin for God knows how long, since creation.
- 45:22SPEAKER_00: Okay, and guess what the animals used to eat?
- 45:26SPEAKER_00: Huh?
- 45:26SPEAKER_00: The herbivores, yeah.
- 45:28SPEAKER_00: They used to eat the cannabis, okay, and then people came along and we ate them, and that's how we got our cannabinoids to supplement our system.
- 45:36SPEAKER_00: That, not only that, but cannabinoids are found in plants as well.
- 45:42SPEAKER_00: Not only do we have a whole entire endocannabinoid system that is overseeing the operation of all of our operating systems, okay, and bringing a balance, but so we have the endo within and the phytocannabinoids, the plant cannabinoids.
- 45:59SPEAKER_00: It's wild.
- 46:00SPEAKER_00: And so when we're sitting here talking about like how many years later about growing the grain and fiber, I really think Wisconsin is missing the boat on this because it is legal.
- 46:13SPEAKER_00: We can grow grain and fiber hemp right now.
- 46:17SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 46:18SPEAKER_00: And they even have a dual crop out there where you can grow fiber is most like the stalk, the part of the plant that they're they're using to make textiles.
- 46:28SPEAKER_00: And also it has a bud on the top, which, you know, grown to scale, can amount to a lot of biomass, right?
- 46:34SPEAKER_00: Which is is fueling the medicinal side of things.
- 46:37SPEAKER_00: So that's a dual type of plant where you can grow it for cannabinoid content and fiber.
- 46:43SPEAKER_00: Or you can just grow it straight up for fiber and get a lot more pounds per for your in your yields.
- 46:49SPEAKER_00: Or you can grow it for grain, and grain is what we're using to feed the animales.
- 46:55SPEAKER_00: So they can once again start eating hemp again and things can go back to normal.
- 46:59SPEAKER_00: But no, there's other interests out there.
- 47:02SPEAKER_00: It's politics as usual, but we are gonna live supernaturally and trust that everything is going according to plan.
- 47:09SPEAKER_00: So I feel like this field day, I went there being a lot more experienced, of course, but more at ease and and and present and like relinquishing that control to the professionals where they really know what they're doing.
- 47:24SPEAKER_00: And honestly, the numbers can speak for themselves.
- 47:26SPEAKER_00: And I hope that they are able to present this information in a way and use all their resources and departments that they have there to talk about it medicinally, to talk about it, you know, for fuels, for textiles, for engineering.
- 47:43SPEAKER_00: You know, I really feel like hemp is the future, and that is grain and fiber.
- 47:47SPEAKER_00: I feel like for so long we've just been talking about, you know, plant medicine, but I feel like also too, if we worked with the indigenous population who really understand the the earth and keep things simple, right?
- 48:01SPEAKER_00: Of how to really work with the land and not against the land in union, in unity with the land, we can create something astronomically beautiful, a higher conscious, a more connected planet.
- 48:22SPEAKER_00: And and it can happen right here in our backyard in Wisconsin.
- 48:26SPEAKER_00: For those of you that are listening here, I know there are people listening from all over, which is amazing how connected we are.
- 48:32SPEAKER_00: So I'm sending out the SOS.
- 48:34SPEAKER_00: Send out the SOS to stay connected and trust the process and walk by faith, not by flesh.
- 48:46SPEAKER_00: And we can utilize these gifts, these God-given gifts, to propel us into awesomeness.
- 48:55SPEAKER_00: I love it, Nita.
- 48:56SPEAKER_00: Gotta have it.
- 48:56SPEAKER_00: So I feel like that, you know, we talked cover crops, soil health, education, gene editing and cannabis, genetic analysis of the anthocyanines of hemp, sensor-based crop growth modeling.
- 49:08SPEAKER_00: Amazing.
- 49:09SPEAKER_00: And then on the industrial and ferro hemp side, grain and fiber breeding and genetics updates, um, industrial grain fiber hemp variety trials, fossurium disease, and mycotoxin risk in hemp.
- 49:23SPEAKER_00: So I feel like these are just all like good controls, different variables that they can really play with and then present this information.
- 49:30SPEAKER_00: They are connected on a website called Seed Linked that a lot of farmers use to pick out their genetics and their seeds that they're gonna plant that season.
- 49:40SPEAKER_00: Because seed links actually connects farmers and they're and that's their style of communication for those that choose to utilize it and what seeds are better than other, and then for their different growth conditions as well.
- 49:51SPEAKER_00: So that's really exciting that that communication, that connection is there.
- 49:54SPEAKER_00: And I feel like it takes a lot, you know, it takes a tribe to be able to put that together and then, you know, let people know about it so they can utilize that sweet gift.
- 50:02SPEAKER_00: So I feel like the understanding the seed characteristics and you know, the disease and the pathology and the oh, all of it is just so necessary and so needed.
- 50:12SPEAKER_00: I'm like on fire about it always.
- 50:15SPEAKER_00: So join me on this expedition.
- 50:17SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be awesome.
- 50:18SPEAKER_00: And also, ooh, what I also loved there at the end when we came back off of the wagons, they had a bunch of different hemp treats that were there and all infused with the hemp seed or hemp oil, not for the the cannabinoids, not to get you elevated or feeling, you know, extra balanced, but they were utilizing kind of the, I don't want to say byproducts, but you know, all parts of the plant, which is so amazing to see.
- 50:49SPEAKER_00: Like what other plant, seriously, and if you know one, please drop it in the comments.
- 50:53SPEAKER_00: I'd I want to hear of it.
- 50:54SPEAKER_00: What other plant do you know?
- 50:56SPEAKER_00: Well, I guess herbs.
- 50:58SPEAKER_00: I feel like herbs are very much like this, but because they're part of that same plant family, but you can use the entire plant, right?
- 51:05SPEAKER_00: From the stalk to the the leaves to the colas, from the meristems.
- 51:11SPEAKER_00: Like it's all usable material and renewable.
- 51:16SPEAKER_00: So I feel like the UW system can connect the dots with the forestry departments too, and and we can solve a lot of problems for, you know, the the paper mills that can flip over to this.
- 51:28SPEAKER_00: The processing is really the bottleneck here.
- 51:31SPEAKER_00: So I feel like there's a lot of talk about processors too and how to handle all these materials.
- 51:37SPEAKER_00: You know, if not in Wisconsin, in the Midwest, somewhere where farmers can go and take this crop.
- 51:42SPEAKER_00: Because if farmers had a place and a set price that they could get to grow this grain and fiber, they'd be doing it, right?
- 51:50SPEAKER_00: We just need a place to go with the hemp to get processed and you know, some some some excited, young, open-minded individuals to see the possibility and pool our resources because it can happen.
- 52:04SPEAKER_00: And this is what dreams are made of.
- 52:06SPEAKER_00: And as we know it, I'm speaking it into existence right now.
- 52:09SPEAKER_00: So that's pretty groovy too.
- 52:12SPEAKER_00: And thank you so much for listening to it.
- 52:14SPEAKER_00: I love talking about education and research and connecting the dots.
- 52:17SPEAKER_00: These are my takeaways from today, and that's why I just I love that I was able to bring the kids there too, because on my way home, they were in the back and they were kind of talking about, I don't know who knows what really they're they're really what they're all connecting.
- 52:33SPEAKER_00: But imagine the sweet seeds that are being planted in those young, vivacious minds.
- 52:38SPEAKER_00: And these are kids, mind you, that have grown up with cannabis.
- 52:42SPEAKER_00: They have been around hemp since they've been in diapers and they have no plant prejudice, and they don't have that old indoctrinated thought process of that unreasonable propaganda at this point.
- 52:55SPEAKER_00: I mean, right?
- 52:56SPEAKER_00: It is straight up politics.
- 52:57SPEAKER_00: I'm we're running out of excuses to to keep backing up this old school mentality.
- 53:03SPEAKER_00: And that's what I spoke with one of the ladies.
- 53:06SPEAKER_00: She they were creating the cannabis chronicles, her and Dr.
- 53:10SPEAKER_00: Shelby.
- 53:11SPEAKER_00: And it was these sweet, like little comic book pages explaining cannabis and the misconceptions and trying to shed some light on the plant and how it's used.
- 53:19SPEAKER_00: And they're like, if anyone has any suggestions, just let us know.
- 53:23SPEAKER_00: We'll we'll take note of it.
- 53:25SPEAKER_00: And so I was like, I I have a couple ideas, and and so I literally filled out a sheet of paper with probably 20 different talk points for they could do different, different cannabis chronicles.
- 53:36SPEAKER_00: Because I've tried to on my DNA hemp page.
- 53:39SPEAKER_00: You know, nobody likes to be sold on anything, so stepped aside from like talking about products, products, products, even though our products are next level amazing, and they can really enhance people's quality of life, and you should check them out at dnahemplc.com, where we're cultivating a natural pharmacy since 2019 and working with cutting ed research to bring you the best plant medicine possible.
- 53:59SPEAKER_00: Okay, that's my pitch, but oh my gosh, where was I going?
- 54:04SPEAKER_00: Plant medicine Okay, so so talking about education and research, and I mean, from the young individuals, the undergrads to the graduates that were working within this program and said it was the best place to work ever, and they feel like they're really doing what they're passionate about.
- 54:20SPEAKER_00: Get those young, excited minds on the education piece.
- 54:22SPEAKER_00: Like I am having like you're spread thin, right?
- 54:26SPEAKER_00: And and this is what I do, you know, for as is a passion project, not necessarily what we do for a living, but I'm really passionate about it, and I am only one person and it takes a team.
- 54:37SPEAKER_00: So I wrote her the page full of ideas, and who knows what seeds, what will germinate from all that.
- 54:43SPEAKER_00: I mean, I was like, UW should have a hemp page on all the socials, right?
- 54:50SPEAKER_00: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, all of it.
- 54:53SPEAKER_00: I mean and disseminate the information because the credibility is next to none, and numbers don't lie.
- 55:01SPEAKER_00: They have the data and the research to back it up.
- 55:04SPEAKER_00: And so that's where what people are really listening to.
- 55:07SPEAKER_00: I feel like sometimes I'm over here like, hey, is anybody listening?
- 55:13SPEAKER_00: And then I get sweet angels that do remind me that yes, indeed, but I feel like it's an energy thing, and this is like black and white, you know, bold and true, and I can get behind that, and I'm here for it.
- 55:25SPEAKER_00: And if I can help in any way possible, Lord, let me be your hands and feet, or continue to be your hands and feet.
- 55:33SPEAKER_00: So walking by faith, friends, not by flesh.
- 55:36SPEAKER_00: It's a beautiful thing.
- 55:37SPEAKER_00: And before I wrap this up, I do want to say an extra special happy birthday to Sheila.
- 55:49SPEAKER_00: Happy birthday to Sheila.
- 55:52SPEAKER_00: Happy birthday, dear She Ballin.
- 55:57SPEAKER_00: Happy birthday to you and many more.
- 56:01SPEAKER_00: Setting my sister sweet love on her birthday today and always for eternity, forever and ever.
- 56:09SPEAKER_00: I love me some she ballin'.
- 56:11SPEAKER_00: She is my cousin.
- 56:12SPEAKER_00: We grew up together, and I feel like we got some really good yin-yang energy, but she's very earthy, and this taught me a lot about plans.
- 56:20SPEAKER_00: So just kind of tying that all in.
- 56:21SPEAKER_00: And I do, I know I shouldn't be, it's public knowledge, but she just like a side side note that she had this man that she connected with.
- 56:33SPEAKER_00: He was an elderly man, he could have been like her her grandpa or you know, father.
- 56:39SPEAKER_00: Maybe maybe maybe father figure, be a father figure.
- 56:42SPEAKER_00: I don't know what their relations the exactly what she seen him as in terms of their relationship, but they were close.
- 56:47SPEAKER_00: She would go in and check in on him.
- 56:49SPEAKER_00: We called him Indian.
- 56:50SPEAKER_00: She'd go and check in on Indian and make sure that he was happy and in good spirits, and she'd always brighten his day and bring him a meal or help him clean.
- 56:59SPEAKER_00: She's always just a helping, loving hand and really demonstrated what you know what it was like to take care of our of our elders.
- 57:06SPEAKER_00: And I always looked up to her for that.
- 57:08SPEAKER_00: So she had this special connection with Indian.
- 57:13SPEAKER_00: And would you believe?
- 57:15SPEAKER_00: And he he passed away today on her birthday.
- 57:20SPEAKER_00: Today's She Ballin's birthday, and her dear friend passed away on her birthday.
- 57:26SPEAKER_00: And this is if you know, if I was walking by sight, I would say, why?
- 57:31SPEAKER_00: Why today?
- 57:33SPEAKER_00: And it could have been yesterday in the end, it could have been tomorrow.
- 57:38SPEAKER_00: Like this poor girl, she's been through so much and to deal with this loss.
- 57:43SPEAKER_00: And I guess she was up with him all last night in you know, hospice care and and loving on him and saying her goodbyes.
- 57:51SPEAKER_00: But it's just wild how that works sometimes.
- 57:54SPEAKER_00: And you know, we're living by that supernatural faith again.
- 57:57SPEAKER_00: I, you know, we can't question it.
- 57:59SPEAKER_00: Maybe, you know, it's that that was their special connection, and now, you know, even on her birthday, if it's a day of celebration of life, you know, it's can also be reminded of that shadow work of death as well.
- 58:14SPEAKER_00: And, you know, a re good reminder for for for me is how I conceptualize it.
- 58:19SPEAKER_00: I know she's gonna go through her stages of processing this, but you know, we're all gonna die.
- 58:27SPEAKER_00: None of us are getting out of here alive, and we need to live supernaturally.
- 58:34SPEAKER_00: Are you with me?
- 58:36SPEAKER_00: Can we do this thing?
- 58:38SPEAKER_00: Yes, we can.
- 58:39SPEAKER_00: All day, every day, and for eternity.
- 58:46SPEAKER_00: So good, so good, so good, and we are just getting starting to folks.
- 58:52SPEAKER_00: I don't know how, and I don't know when, and I don't know why, but something amazing is gonna happen to us.
- 59:00SPEAKER_00: Today! Wishing you nothing but the best, blessings, the peace of eye, honors the peace of eye in you.
- 59:08SPEAKER_00: We're gonna hoe Pono out with a good old I love you.
- 59:12SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry, but please forgive me.
- 59:16unknown: Thank you.
- 59:18SPEAKER_00: God bless you.
- 59:19SPEAKER_00: Keep shining your light and sharing your gifts.
