- 4:20Speaker 5: January thirteenth or fourteenth.
- 4:23Speaker 1: And Survivor stool has Oh no, that comes out tonight.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Never mind, never mind, Watch the finale tonight, watch the final.
- 4:31Speaker 5: Yeah, we have to. We had to pre record because
- 4:35Speaker 5: they have to go to Chicago to do the finale, so.
- 4:38Speaker 11: So you know, blame Portnoy, Slambron and Francis. Don't blame me,
- 4:44Speaker 11: don't braame sass, don't blame me, but uh, we're here.
- 4:48Speaker 5: And I guess uh hopefully you enjoyed last episode.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I was at the Eagles game this past weekend and
- 4:56Speaker 1: at halftime there was a it was an Ultimate Frisbee
- 5:01Speaker 1: All Star game, damn, and it was fucking awesome. And
- 5:05Speaker 1: these Philly fans were like booing, yeah, sure.
- 5:11Speaker 9: I mean, that's that's one shade above bringing out the
- 5:14Speaker 9: cross country team to just lapse, which is like maybe
- 5:19Speaker 9: two eyebrows above the quidditch team coming out.
- 5:21Speaker 1: The all Catholic cross country team and just like running
- 5:26Speaker 1: laps that like don't even get them sweaty.
- 5:29Speaker 9: The only thing that would cause the Philly faithful to
- 5:31Speaker 9: applaud that would be if someone shit his pants his
- 5:35Speaker 9: tiny little shorts sing.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Your pants in like that short of time of running yeah,
- 5:42Speaker 1: refusing to get off the court.
- 5:44Speaker 9: I do. I just remembered that I have something that
- 5:47Speaker 9: I might have here that would be really great. Can
- 5:50Speaker 9: I go check you guys talk for two minutes. Sure,
- 5:52Speaker 9: it'll only take two minutes. I'll be right back. Keep talking.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Sure, sure, sure you ever try Ultimate Frisbee.
- 5:58Speaker 5: No never, Oh, actually yeah, I guess we did in
- 6:00Speaker 5: high school.
- 6:00Speaker 1: In high school it was fun, but we did a
- 6:04Speaker 1: video with the actual Ultimate Frisbee team and it was
- 6:07Speaker 1: very cardio intensive.
- 6:08Speaker 5: Yeah, I got a when I was in college for
- 6:10Speaker 5: my six months, I went for orientation and I remember
- 6:15Speaker 5: I was sitting at a I was sitting at a
- 6:18Speaker 5: table by myself and some dude came up to me
- 6:22Speaker 5: and he was like, what's up, bro, Like you like
- 6:24Speaker 5: you look like a cool lass dude. You look chill,
- 6:27Speaker 5: And I was like thanks, man, you too, And then
- 6:30Speaker 5: he was like uh, he was like I'm a He's like,
- 6:34Speaker 5: you got any interest in in like ultimate frisbee and
- 6:37Speaker 5: and I was like, yeah, I actually I do have.
- 6:40Speaker 5: I have a lot of interest in that. And he
- 6:41Speaker 5: was like, dude, you gotta come. Like He's like, he's
- 6:44Speaker 5: like you should definitely sign up, Like we have a blast.
- 6:46Speaker 5: Like he's like we have like a ton of parties
- 6:48Speaker 5: and stuff like like we're we're pretty much like a fraternity,
- 6:51Speaker 5: Like you should definitely think about like joining up. And
- 6:53Speaker 5: I was like, dude, that sounds great, Like I would
- 6:55Speaker 5: definitely do that. And I signed up and then a
- 6:59Speaker 5: week later, I got an email for the first round
- 7:01Speaker 5: of tryouts and I was like, I'm never doing that,
- 7:05Speaker 5: so I never I was like, dude, what do you tryouts?
- 7:08Speaker 5: I thought this was like a joke. And then and
- 7:10Speaker 5: then I ended up being friends to someone that was
- 7:11Speaker 5: on the team and they would like travel every weekend
- 7:14Speaker 5: to like different schools what And I was like, dude,
- 7:17Speaker 5: you made that sound like it was like a club
- 7:18Speaker 5: where we like play like caanjam for a couple of
- 7:20Speaker 5: hours a day then and then like get fucked up after.
- 7:25Speaker 5: It was like they literally would have like conditioning practices.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Yeah, it's insane.
- 7:30Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:30Speaker 1: It was the guy who was on it was he
- 7:32Speaker 1: a pretty good athlete?
- 7:34Speaker 5: Yeah, I assume.
- 7:35Speaker 1: So the dudes who were playing yesterday were all like
- 7:38Speaker 1: not only good athletes, but like pretty built.
- 7:41Speaker 5: Oh yeah fast.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Yeah, like they could like kind of climb the ladder,
- 7:44Speaker 1: they had good verticals. Actually, Effie over here would probably
- 7:48Speaker 1: be nice. Yeah, probably ultimate player.
- 7:53Speaker 9: I played real sports.
- 7:54Speaker 1: No, you'd be great at ultimately, And actually that's like
- 7:56Speaker 1: the landing spot of a lot of the Ultimate guys
- 8:00Speaker 1: who are former I played real sports guys. And then
- 8:03Speaker 1: they're like, I still would like to keep my competitive
- 8:06Speaker 1: juices flowing into my late twenties and mid thirties.
- 8:10Speaker 9: I think it's just one of those things though where
- 8:11Speaker 9: I remember. I remember the Ultimate kids at school would
- 8:14Speaker 9: say like, if you you know, these guys are athletes,
- 8:19Speaker 9: these guys are real athletes, And I just never remember
- 8:22Speaker 9: having to tell anyone that we were real athletes. Yeah.
- 8:26Speaker 5: It's kind of like, uh, the those that flag football
- 8:29Speaker 5: dude who said like, if flag football goes to the Olympics,
- 8:32Speaker 5: that he should be in it over Mahomes. Yeah, and
- 8:35Speaker 5: he was like, Mahomes just doesn't under misunderstand the mechanics
- 8:38Speaker 5: of flag football, and it was like, he's the greatest
- 8:39Speaker 5: quarterback in the NFL.
- 8:41Speaker 1: So it's also quarterbacking.
- 8:43Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean he could probably figure out flag football
- 8:45Speaker 5: pretty well.
- 8:46Speaker 9: You know, on campus, we would we would walk around
- 8:48Speaker 9: with our coat, our jackets, yeah, your letterman j flax jackets,
- 8:53Speaker 9: and the Ultimate guys would walk around with their swag,
- 8:56Speaker 9: which you know they had to do a bake sale
- 8:59Speaker 9: to raise them.
- 9:00Speaker 1: To embroider slipped over because it was a car wash.
- 9:03Speaker 9: Yeah exactly. You know, so we didn't our were free,
- 9:07Speaker 9: uh and there's were the result of some hard work.
- 9:11Speaker 9: So ironing a Saturday morning spent U doing a five k.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Those are real athletes. Do you think if ultimate frisbee
- 9:20Speaker 1: makes the Olympics we would have like NFL athletes in there.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Probably not, because there's mechanics have thrown the frisbee.
- 9:26Speaker 5: Yeah, but I doubt Like, if you're in the NFL,
- 9:28Speaker 5: you're probably not like looking to pick up more work
- 9:31Speaker 5: in the off season.
- 9:32Speaker 1: But an Olympic medals an Olympic medal.
- 9:34Speaker 9: Yeah. The NBA players like they kind of every other year.
- 9:37Speaker 9: It's like they're in and then they're out. Yeah, they decide, Okay,
- 9:40Speaker 9: this year we're gonna do it.
- 9:41Speaker 5: But no, but I think NBA is different because it's
- 9:44Speaker 5: it's your it's the sport. You're going to the Olympics.
- 9:47Speaker 5: Four sport.
- 9:48Speaker 9: You're saying, Yeah, to your point of it, they don't
- 9:51Speaker 9: want extra work in the off season. Yeah, the training
- 9:54Speaker 9: for the Olympics is a big deal. Did you watch
- 9:57Speaker 9: the Redeemed Team Doc?
- 9:58Speaker 1: I did?
- 9:58Speaker 9: Yes, that was pretty good. Yeah. Yeah, I'll never forget
- 10:01Speaker 9: that chilling story of them coming home from the club
- 10:05Speaker 9: at four and the five in the morning, getting in
- 10:07Speaker 9: the elevator and Kobe's going down to.
- 10:09Speaker 5: The way yeah, they're like, yeah, okay.
- 10:13Speaker 9: I guess we need to kick it into gear a
- 10:16Speaker 9: little here.
- 10:17Speaker 5: Is that the one where he's like He's like, he's like,
- 10:18Speaker 5: you got I'll party with you guys. You come party
- 10:20Speaker 5: with me, Kobe, he says like, he's like, he's like,
- 10:24Speaker 5: we can go out. He's like, I'll go out with
- 10:26Speaker 5: you guys, I'll drink with you. He's like, Bud, at
- 10:28Speaker 5: six am, we're gonna be in the gym.
- 10:29Speaker 9: Did he say that.
- 10:30Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 10:31Speaker 9: I didn't even know he did that. I don't even
- 10:33Speaker 9: know he partied.
- 10:34Speaker 1: I think both stories are true.
- 10:35Speaker 9: Yeah, Oh that's good. I'm happy to hear that that
- 10:38Speaker 9: he was a little more balanced.
- 10:40Speaker 5: Well, No, I think he was just kind of proven,
- 10:41Speaker 5: like we're gonna go out.
- 10:43Speaker 1: He says, no matter what you do, you're gonna be
- 10:44Speaker 1: at six am workout. I'll go and I'll even go
- 10:47Speaker 1: with you to prove how hard I go.
- 10:48Speaker 9: But Kobe was sort of the elder statesman on that team,
- 10:51Speaker 9: and all those younger guys were able to go out
- 10:54Speaker 9: to the club late, because you know you can do
- 10:57Speaker 9: that at that age. Yeah, if you said to me
- 11:00Speaker 9: right now, hey, Fran, you can go out and have
- 11:03Speaker 9: two beers with me tonight, But you have a seven
- 11:05Speaker 9: am flight tomorrow, I'd say I can't. The anxiety of
- 11:10Speaker 9: trying to fall asleep after two beers, knowing I have
- 11:13Speaker 9: to get up at five to be at the airport
- 11:16Speaker 9: at six. Can't do it.
- 11:18Speaker 1: And that's for a seven am flight. You're getting to
- 11:20Speaker 1: the airport at six. I guess if you pre checked there.
- 11:24Speaker 1: What was the Delta? Uh? What was the Delta crossover?
- 11:29Speaker 1: Someone messaged me that they're that they're now making and
- 11:32Speaker 1: somebody was like, this is right up your guys alley.
- 11:34Speaker 1: It's Delta and something else we talk about all the time.
- 11:37Speaker 1: What are like the two things we talked about was
- 11:39Speaker 1: Delta in something.
- 11:41Speaker 5: Delta is list.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I heard you're out on Delta.
- 11:46Speaker 5: I'm out on. I'm out on them all. I'm I'm
- 11:48Speaker 5: like about you. I'm about top on, like Jet Blue
- 11:51Speaker 5: or like American Airlines jet Blue.
- 11:54Speaker 1: I just saw Jet Blue. It was I used to
- 11:57Speaker 1: be a big Jet Blue guy.
- 11:58Speaker 9: I remember that it was.
- 11:59Speaker 5: But it's fallen off.
- 12:02Speaker 9: It gets ranked at the bottom now. It's like Southwest
- 12:05Speaker 9: is ahead of it.
- 12:05Speaker 5: They're always idiot, They're always like rising and falling. Delta
- 12:09Speaker 5: will be at the bottom.
- 12:10Speaker 9: Soon No, delta is always at the top.
- 12:13Speaker 5: You'll see, you will see.
- 12:16Speaker 3: You know.
- 12:16Speaker 9: What they should do is they should have an airline
- 12:20Speaker 9: that is catered towards true like every seat is luxurious
- 12:25Speaker 9: and comfortable. They have those JSX is one, right, I've
- 12:29Speaker 9: never taken it.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I've never taken it.
- 12:31Speaker 9: You can't take that from LaGuardia.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Probably gotta go to damn Teterborough.
- 12:36Speaker 9: I think they fly to that west Chester airport.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Which I also don't like.
- 12:41Speaker 5: I tell you about when I was, uh, I was
- 12:44Speaker 5: in Tell Your Ride. I was, I was in a
- 12:47Speaker 5: I went to Colorado for like a couple for like
- 12:49Speaker 5: a week, and then I went I was with me
- 12:51Speaker 5: Matt and Bower in Denver and then I went with
- 12:53Speaker 5: Matt back to Tell Your Ride and skied for two days,
- 12:56Speaker 5: and then I had to fly back to New York
- 12:59Speaker 5: to do the pod cast. And I'm and I'm I'm
- 13:01Speaker 5: like to tell your Ride. You have to take like
- 13:04Speaker 5: a shuttle, take it to the airport. You take it
- 13:07Speaker 5: from text to e X from from Montrose and yeah,
- 13:12Speaker 5: you got home.
- 13:13Speaker 9: There is one United direct flight from Montrose to Newark day.
- 13:17Speaker 5: So I was flying Montrose to New York Direct. Yes, oh,
- 13:21Speaker 5: you're saying you took the car shuttle. I took the
- 13:23Speaker 5: car shuttle to Montrose.
- 13:24Speaker 9: Did you do the private black car or did.
- 13:26Speaker 5: You know where my buddy lives. There's just a shuttle
- 13:28Speaker 5: that picks up people like right by one hour or something. Yeah,
- 13:31Speaker 5: something like that. But I got picked up, and I'm not.
- 13:34Speaker 9: Really going to tell your ride this weekend. And I
- 13:35Speaker 9: had to do all the logistics.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Really, he's definitely doing the private black car.
- 13:39Speaker 5: Dude, I'm in the I'm in the four of us.
- 13:41Speaker 5: It's anyway, I'm in. I'm in the shuttle at like
- 13:45Speaker 5: five am going to the airport and I'm checking in
- 13:47Speaker 5: for the flight, and I realized that my flight was
- 13:50Speaker 5: flying to uh the west Chester or wherever the upstate
- 13:56Speaker 5: New York.
- 13:57Speaker 9: Oh no, yeah, from from montro Yeah Direct, Yes, what airline?
- 14:02Speaker 1: I don't remember what the fuck?
- 14:04Speaker 5: And I had to like scramble and change my flight,
- 14:07Speaker 5: end up having to stay at Mantros for like eight hours.
- 14:09Speaker 9: There's not much going on at that air No.
- 14:11Speaker 5: It's literally they don't even have a shot and Pop
- 14:14Speaker 5: deli like outside of the tournament. Yeah, yeah, I know.
- 14:18Speaker 5: I got a burrilla chicken sandwich you can get. I'm
- 14:22Speaker 5: a kid, Yeah, but I mean that was just crushing.
- 14:26Speaker 1: But Westchester is an upstate New York.
- 14:29Speaker 5: What was the airport that you just.
- 14:30Speaker 9: Said, Yeah, Westchester, I think you could call that technically upstate.
- 14:33Speaker 1: It's just about but it's like an hour it's like
- 14:37Speaker 1: two hours north, so it's an hour north of the city.
- 14:41Speaker 9: I guess too, or what do you qualify as upstate?
- 14:46Speaker 1: Freaking yonkers? No, I'm joking, huh. I guess any anything
- 14:52Speaker 1: above the Hudson Valley.
- 14:54Speaker 9: You got to go all the way to north of
- 14:55Speaker 9: the Hudson. You wouldn't call Hudson Valley and upstate.
- 14:58Speaker 1: I guess the Hudson Valley is good because.
- 15:00Speaker 9: All this time I've been telling people I'm going up state.
- 15:02Speaker 1: I think that makes because people will be like, oh,
- 15:04Speaker 1: you say like mid state. It's like, bro, you're not
- 15:06Speaker 1: gonna say fucking mid state.
- 15:08Speaker 9: Right right?
- 15:09Speaker 1: I don't think. But one time I was flying back
- 15:11Speaker 1: from Boston. We were there shooting something with Pat Beev
- 15:15Speaker 1: and he was like, no, bro, just fucking flying on
- 15:18Speaker 1: the private plane back with me tomorrow because we were
- 15:21Speaker 1: going to fly back. I was just going to take
- 15:23Speaker 1: a delta flight from Boston to LaGuardia and I'd be
- 15:26Speaker 1: home in fucking fifteen minutes from LaGuardia. He was like, no, bro,
- 15:29Speaker 1: I got the fucking private. And so the private takes
- 15:33Speaker 1: off an hour later. Propellers, Oh yeah, propellers, one pilot.
- 15:41Speaker 5: It was not the not the private experience you expect.
- 15:44Speaker 1: But we're at like three thousand feet the whole time. No,
- 15:50Speaker 1: but and then we landed in Westchester and.
- 15:54Speaker 9: It was like Hudson Yeah, yeah, taxi.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Ye it was. And then but it took there was
- 16:02Speaker 1: insane traffic on the Upper West or whatever it was
- 16:05Speaker 1: like all through Harlem, and so it was like two
- 16:07Speaker 1: extra hours to get home from there. I wound up
- 16:10Speaker 1: getting home four hours after I would have because it's like, oh,
- 16:13Speaker 1: flying private, fucking sick.
- 16:14Speaker 5: Yeah, that sucks. The lady that sat next to me
- 16:19Speaker 5: on the plane yesterday was clearly horrified of flying. Just
- 16:23Speaker 5: every single time there'd be a bump, she'd be like
- 16:26Speaker 5: grabbing onto everything.
- 16:27Speaker 9: Would she ever? Would she ever grab your arm?
- 16:29Speaker 5: And no, we were in first class, so we had
- 16:31Speaker 5: a large divide between my arm and her arm.
- 16:33Speaker 9: That's good to hear it. Yeah, I will say I
- 16:37Speaker 9: have had it where a woman was so scared of
- 16:39Speaker 9: flying and we had a little precipitous drop from turbulence
- 16:43Speaker 9: and she grabbed my arm and I liked it, so
- 16:47Speaker 9: I felt like I was saving her.
- 16:49Speaker 5: I used to have such bad flight anxiety that I
- 16:51Speaker 5: had to get out of van for flying and the
- 16:55Speaker 5: I thought about it for a while and I was like, no,
- 16:58Speaker 5: I can just get over this. And then I had
- 16:59Speaker 5: a fly where I was taking off and I grabbed
- 17:02Speaker 5: onto the person next to me, and after that I landed,
- 17:05Speaker 5: I called my doctor, like immediately, I was like, I
- 17:07Speaker 5: gotta get something. I was like, I can't keep doing this.
- 17:09Speaker 9: Was it a guy or a girl?
- 17:10Speaker 5: I think it was a girl, or it might have
- 17:12Speaker 5: been a guy. I don't remember. I just remember like
- 17:14Speaker 5: I was like, I fully grabbed onto like their legs.
- 17:19Speaker 5: If it was a guy, I think it might have
- 17:20Speaker 5: been a guy. It probably was more likely that it
- 17:23Speaker 5: was a guy than it was a girl. So I
- 17:24Speaker 5: think I would have been self aware enough to know
- 17:25Speaker 5: that I can't grab onto a girl's thigh.
- 17:27Speaker 9: Yeah, but girls can grab onto ar five. Yeah, by
- 17:30Speaker 9: the way, thigh, you went.
- 17:31Speaker 5: For thigh, dude, he was, I was, I mean, dude,
- 17:34Speaker 5: I was freaking out.
- 17:35Speaker 9: Oh high up on the thigh.
- 17:36Speaker 5: I don't remember. It was probably more like me, you
- 17:39Speaker 5: went north of me, or I think I was. I
- 17:42Speaker 5: was like, I mean I was north of knee, but
- 17:43Speaker 5: like barely.
- 17:44Speaker 9: You went you grabbed a thigh of a man.
- 17:47Speaker 5: Dude, he I was in. I was. I thought I
- 17:48Speaker 5: was gonna die. Think about that, he's reaching over to
- 17:51Speaker 5: your panic, Ah, I.
- 17:53Speaker 9: Would, I'm going maybe shoulder arm makes a lot of sense.
- 17:57Speaker 5: Do you reached in between his leg or in the
- 18:00Speaker 5: state of panic, there's not a lot that you're not
- 18:02Speaker 5: really thinking, like which part of this person am I
- 18:04Speaker 5: gonna grab?
- 18:05Speaker 1: Are you grabbing the guy though? That's vaulted in.
- 18:08Speaker 5: Dude, I didn't meet like I wasn't thinking. It wasn't
- 18:10Speaker 5: like I made the decision I'm gonna grab onto this guy.
- 18:14Speaker 5: I went to grab onto anything, and I landed on
- 18:16Speaker 5: the man.
- 18:17Speaker 9: Crazy instinct.
- 18:18Speaker 5: Yeah, it is.
- 18:19Speaker 9: Was he like was he like someone who you thought
- 18:21Speaker 9: was like an authority figure who could keep calming?
- 18:23Speaker 5: No, dude, it was literally like I was freaking out
- 18:25Speaker 5: and I was like, yeah, yeah, do you know do
- 18:29Speaker 5: you know if he was a dad? No, I don't remember.
- 18:32Speaker 9: Did you talk to him after.
- 18:34Speaker 5: No, I don't remember. I don't even remember if it
- 18:36Speaker 5: was a guy or a girl. It's a guy, but
- 18:39Speaker 5: it was that was my breaking point in which I
- 18:42Speaker 5: decided I needed to get prescription drugs.
- 18:44Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean, you know that is all your doctor,
- 18:47Speaker 9: and be like, look, I didn't I inadvertently fondled the
- 18:50Speaker 9: guy next.
- 18:51Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly.
- 18:52Speaker 1: I just grabbed him. Man, Yeah, I want to forget everything.
- 18:55Speaker 5: Yeah, I remember I had my eyes closed and I
- 18:57Speaker 5: and I just felt I remember I just felt a
- 19:00Speaker 5: leg and I pulled my arm off immediately, and I
- 19:04Speaker 5: was like, I'm sorry, I just did That's sorry, I'm
- 19:09Speaker 5: freaking out right now. It was always during the takeoff.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Yeah, well that's when the first thirty seconds are the
- 19:16Speaker 1: most likely time to crash.
- 19:17Speaker 5: Right, They say the first thirty in the last thirty, Right,
- 19:20Speaker 5: except the last thirty makes sense because it's always going
- 19:22Speaker 5: to be the last thirty.
- 19:24Speaker 1: I'm going to be flying into Smile at me like
- 19:26Speaker 1: that fun little planet.
- 19:28Speaker 5: We love that one in the flat anxiety community.
- 19:31Speaker 9: I'm flying into Tell your ride, Colorado's is the fast time.
- 19:34Speaker 9: I'm fasting one into the actual airport of tail your head,
- 19:37Speaker 9: brace yourself. It is the number one most dangerous airport
- 19:42Speaker 9: in the country of the United States.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Yep.
- 19:45Speaker 9: And I went on Reddit and I was like, how
- 19:48Speaker 9: bad is this bad? And then everyone on Reddit was
- 19:51Speaker 9: like they were all pilots advising each other on how
- 19:55Speaker 9: to do it. So now I know how to land
- 19:59Speaker 9: the plane. Tell your right airport. Everyone was like, look,
- 20:02Speaker 9: the real issue issue isn't landing, it's taking off. It's
- 20:06Speaker 9: taking off. It's having to like raise your altitude against
- 20:08Speaker 9: the face of the mountain.
- 20:09Speaker 5: Yeah, quizy enough, dude, it's right along the mountain.
- 20:12Speaker 9: Really short runway too. Win's buffeting you left and right.
- 20:15Speaker 5: Yeah, so flying into that I've never done it. My
- 20:20Speaker 5: friend is obviously it's done at a bunch. But uh
- 20:23Speaker 5: you can see, like you see Pan's landing on it,
- 20:25Speaker 5: and you're like, dude, it looks like from a distance,
- 20:27Speaker 5: You're like, that looks tight.
- 20:29Speaker 9: It's like that one in uh In in uh Nepal. Yeah,
- 20:33Speaker 9: where they where it's downhill, Yeah, and they land and
- 20:36Speaker 9: it's like somehow it goes downhill on the landing up
- 20:41Speaker 9: in the mountains. The one you have to land into
- 20:42Speaker 9: Salmon ever Everest.
- 20:44Speaker 5: Dude, the the the tailler eye one that you you
- 20:47Speaker 5: have to wrap around the mountain and then the face
- 20:50Speaker 5: of the mountain will be like on your right, and
- 20:53Speaker 5: then you're you're landing literally like you're you're right next
- 20:56Speaker 5: to the mountain.
- 20:57Speaker 9: I see that you've spent some time in the reddit
- 20:59Speaker 9: thread too.
- 21:00Speaker 5: Yeah, no, I've just seen it.
- 21:01Speaker 9: Yeah. Well from the ski mountain you can see the runway.
- 21:05Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, exactly. But even landing in Montrose is like
- 21:09Speaker 5: a it's a bumpy landing, yeah, because you're just flying.
- 21:14Speaker 5: Like I flew from Denver to Montrose and it's like
- 21:17Speaker 5: you go up and then you just never go down.
- 21:20Speaker 9: Yeah, it's not that short, it's not that long.
- 21:22Speaker 5: But it's like the altitude like tell your IDEs so
- 21:25Speaker 5: much higher than Denver. Oh, you go up and then
- 21:28Speaker 5: you're just like right above the mountains and then all
- 21:30Speaker 5: of a sudden there's the runway. There's like the descent
- 21:33Speaker 5: is like thirty seconds.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Did you buy any nice clothes for your appro skis, dude?
- 21:38Speaker 9: Honestly, it's a great question. It's a great question. I
- 21:41Speaker 9: tried on some.
- 21:43Speaker 12: Outrageous fits, outrageous fits, and I had the guy Jake
- 21:50Speaker 12: at the store hold them for me, and I needed
- 21:55Speaker 12: to sleep on it.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Jake is already I'm not shopping at a store where
- 22:00Speaker 1: the guy helping me is named Jake.
- 22:02Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 22:02Speaker 1: It was a strange sound insurance. I think he can kick.
- 22:06Speaker 9: It was a strange name. It felt a little bit,
- 22:08Speaker 9: probably like a name he adopted to see.
- 22:11Speaker 1: It's like Yakov, I'm buying whatever, said inga Britsen. Yeah,
- 22:17Speaker 1: some shit like that's hold clothes.
- 22:20Speaker 9: Well, he's holding my clothes, the clothes I want, and
- 22:22Speaker 9: they they're so expensive that I really needed to sleep
- 22:25Speaker 9: on it. And I thought that what would happen is
- 22:27Speaker 9: because the next day I went out drinking. I went,
- 22:29Speaker 9: I went and watched the Saturday wild Card games at
- 22:34Speaker 9: a bar with someboddies.
- 22:35Speaker 5: Snooze festive games.
- 22:37Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 22:38Speaker 9: My plan was to get drunk and then go to
- 22:40Speaker 9: the store to gather the courage to buy them, because
- 22:42Speaker 9: I do better buying, you know, initiative when I've had
- 22:46Speaker 9: some drinks. Yeah, And somehow, I guess I just missed
- 22:51Speaker 9: the closing time. So I texted Jake again and told
- 22:54Speaker 9: him to hold them another day. And he went back
- 22:57Speaker 9: to work again on Sunday, And this was last night
- 22:59Speaker 9: and they were closing at six, and he sent me
- 23:01Speaker 9: the payment link, and I tried to fill it out
- 23:04Speaker 9: at five point fifty four because he was actually gonna
- 23:06Speaker 9: bring me the clothes to my apartment after and there
- 23:10Speaker 9: was an error in the payment link, so I told
- 23:13Speaker 9: him to hold him another day. And I'm still thinking
- 23:16Speaker 9: about it.
- 23:17Speaker 1: So they're just sitting behind the calendar where.
- 23:20Speaker 9: Monkler so damn oh, and I'm really torn. I'm really torn.
- 23:27Speaker 9: Here's the Sophie's choice that we're talking about, right, Am
- 23:30Speaker 9: I going to feel worse skiing and having last year's
- 23:35Speaker 9: o prey fits or having spent what these clothes cost
- 23:42Speaker 9: and being sad that I don't have.
- 23:43Speaker 1: That last year fit. Obviously, obviously you're going to feel worse.
- 23:47Speaker 1: If you have last year's fit. You're not going to
- 23:51Speaker 1: have any new memories because you're like, you will have
- 23:57Speaker 1: new memories if you're wearing good clothes, you'll have some
- 24:00Speaker 1: incredible memories. What do you think save the money?
- 24:02Speaker 9: What do you think it raises the enjoyment level by?
- 24:05Speaker 9: Like what percentage?
- 24:08Speaker 5: I have no idea.
- 24:09Speaker 9: I'll frame it for you sas like, Okay, you're going fishing, right,
- 24:13Speaker 9: been fishing, same spot, same spot, but now this time,
- 24:16Speaker 9: let's say it's the trip that you're going on with
- 24:18Speaker 9: your buddies, and you don't even tell them, but you've
- 24:21Speaker 9: got a new rod, you've got new waiters, you've got
- 24:25Speaker 9: top of the line stuff, you've got a new leader,
- 24:29Speaker 9: you've got new yarn and new flies, new hat that
- 24:33Speaker 9: you're excited about, and it's all really sick this year's stuff.
- 24:38Speaker 9: And you throw all that on and walk down. You're like,
- 24:41Speaker 9: They leave the car and go down to the river first.
- 24:44Speaker 9: You're like, guys, I'll be right there. I just got
- 24:46Speaker 9: to check on something. And you put on this new fit.
- 24:49Speaker 9: And then you come marching through the trees and they're
- 24:51Speaker 9: in the shallows in last year's fits and you're in
- 24:54Speaker 9: this new outfit that moment.
- 24:56Speaker 1: And the fish kind of all flow to the water
- 24:58Speaker 1: with their mouth.
- 25:00Speaker 9: Yeah, they jump into the net, not even on the fly.
- 25:04Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, I get it.
- 25:06Speaker 9: How much How much happier are you? Honest question? Like,
- 25:09Speaker 9: isn't it an increase of like thirty to forty percent enjoyment?
- 25:13Speaker 9: Your buddies are like, dude, where did you get that?
- 25:16Speaker 9: That stuff's awesome? They don't even want to take a
- 25:18Speaker 9: picture with you because you're making them look so gray.
- 25:22Speaker 5: I get it to an extent, like when I got
- 25:25Speaker 5: like my new bag I got when I got my
- 25:27Speaker 5: my fish pond sling bag. I remember I was pretty
- 25:31Speaker 5: pumped to bag that out in Wyoming. Yeah, Like I
- 25:33Speaker 5: was like, take a look.
- 25:35Speaker 1: It's the feel. You can't beat that feel that you
- 25:37Speaker 1: just see. If you can, if you are experts surfer,
- 25:40Speaker 1: you can ride that wave throughout the entire day.
- 25:42Speaker 5: Also, me and my boys, we've always been hip pack guys.
- 25:46Speaker 5: I was the first one to bring out the slang pack,
- 25:48Speaker 5: so it was kind of like I changed the game forever.
- 25:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:52Speaker 5: I was also the only one that could attach my
- 25:54Speaker 5: net to my bag because they're hip packs don't allow that.
- 26:01Speaker 5: But my sling pack I could comfortably. I'm so glad
- 26:05Speaker 5: that thatach my name. We found common ground on this.
- 26:08Speaker 5: I knew we could get there.
- 26:09Speaker 1: You actually, that was a very deft little move of
- 26:13Speaker 1: including sass and how you felt there with the Montclair.
- 26:16Speaker 1: So so based on knowing that, you think you should
- 26:18Speaker 1: buy the Montclair fit.
- 26:20Speaker 5: No, why not because it's probably a lot more expensive
- 26:25Speaker 5: than my fish ponds.
- 26:26Speaker 9: Don't don't let that be a factor.
- 26:29Speaker 5: Like waiters, like I would, I wouldn't buy new waiters
- 26:32Speaker 5: for a trip. Why not because they're too expensive.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Yeah, but nobody's going to see you. Your boys, damn
- 26:38Speaker 1: near aren't even going to.
- 26:39Speaker 9: See Also, waiter technology hasn't changed in seventy five years,
- 26:42Speaker 9: and you're.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Not going to fuck off of it.
- 26:44Speaker 5: Brother, Waiter technology is changing second by second.
- 26:49Speaker 9: I mean, how much more waterproof can you get?
- 26:51Speaker 5: So much more?
- 26:53Speaker 9: Is there any waiters that have like shearling on the inside,
- 26:55Speaker 9: because I remember when we fished in February in that river,
- 27:00Speaker 9: our issue was that our feet got cold.
- 27:05Speaker 5: The problem with those waiters, I think was that the
- 27:10Speaker 5: they had built in boots, so like there there was
- 27:14Speaker 5: which should be warmer in theory, but those were rubber boots.
- 27:19Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 27:19Speaker 5: I really don't know. Like my waiters I have, like
- 27:24Speaker 5: they have a tight lining around my foot which is
- 27:26Speaker 5: like a pretty much like a thick sock that's waterproof,
- 27:29Speaker 5: so that helps with warmth. And then you also have
- 27:32Speaker 5: socks underneath. Yeah, and then you have a boot on
- 27:35Speaker 5: top of it. Rather than the waiters that we wore
- 27:37Speaker 5: in uh An, Upstate.
- 27:39Speaker 3: It was.
- 27:41Speaker 5: It was just a big empty boot and you just
- 27:46Speaker 5: had your socks on, but zero warmth. My feet were okay.
- 27:49Speaker 5: You guys didn't. I don't think you double socked it.
- 27:51Speaker 5: I don't think you had. You didn't have the ones
- 27:54Speaker 5: that were the attachable with the boot attached. You had
- 27:58Speaker 5: what I just described. Oh okay, you had you had
- 28:01Speaker 5: to put on waiting boots, yes, which is the significantly
- 28:05Speaker 5: warmer way.
- 28:05Speaker 9: I see.
- 28:07Speaker 1: I just saw a picture of Jeff Bezos in full
- 28:10Speaker 1: ski gear, and they whatever the caption wants said that
- 28:14Speaker 1: his ski outfit alone costs ten thousand dollars. Jesus, it
- 28:19Speaker 1: didn't look that cool for ten thousand dollars.
- 28:22Speaker 5: Ten g's I mean, do ten g's for him?
- 28:24Speaker 1: Is not at I gotta see if I can find
- 28:27Speaker 1: a picture of it. Yeah, yeah, Like, are you wearing
- 28:33Speaker 1: new cool stuff to ski in or just afterwards?
- 28:36Speaker 3: No?
- 28:36Speaker 9: See, this is the issue. I mean, you know, my
- 28:39Speaker 9: ski outfit right now, the one I actually ski in,
- 28:42Speaker 9: is like seven years old and it has some rips
- 28:44Speaker 9: in it.
- 28:45Speaker 5: What kind of gear a you're working with? Spider?
- 28:47Speaker 6: Uh?
- 28:48Speaker 9: That gear was Jeuice.
- 28:50Speaker 5: I could definitely see you being a spider.
- 28:51Speaker 9: Guy Juice Kjus.
- 28:54Speaker 1: Jeff Bezos and ass been wearing a ten thousand dollars
- 28:57Speaker 1: Zenya ski suit.
- 28:58Speaker 9: Oh zenas in the games.
- 29:01Speaker 1: In the game, I'm not familiar ten thousand. Does that
- 29:03Speaker 1: even look that good? Do you see how it's like
- 29:05Speaker 1: baggy around his knees.
- 29:06Speaker 9: I wouldn't have gone black or anthracite or whatever this
- 29:10Speaker 9: is that he's dealing with.
- 29:11Speaker 1: I would not have gone anthrough so crazy that I'm
- 29:18Speaker 1: thinking about make up a glance to a glance, sass,
- 29:20Speaker 1: I need to hear your ten cents on this, Zenya anthracite.
- 29:24Speaker 9: Maybe we can flash this over over the pod so
- 29:26Speaker 9: people can know what we're talking about.
- 29:28Speaker 5: This is the fizz that is is that his girl
- 29:31Speaker 5: is I Oh golly, his girl looks like she needs
- 29:37Speaker 5: to zip up or else her breasts might get frostbite.
- 29:43Speaker 5: The hold on, I'm still taking in, Bezos.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Are you worried? Are you that worried about her breast?
- 29:49Speaker 5: No, Bezos, I would have gone with a little bit
- 29:51Speaker 5: of a baggy or pant and maybe it's a slimmer jacket.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Well he has to go bag your or he's like
- 29:58Speaker 1: in no man's baggy and tight.
- 30:00Speaker 9: What do you think of that?
- 30:03Speaker 5: This is what you wear skiing? Yeah, like you actually
- 30:06Speaker 5: wear this well skiing.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Bezos's knee looks like trash Yeah, that's not great. What's
- 30:11Speaker 1: wrong with this dude's knee?
- 30:13Speaker 5: And you've already purchased it.
- 30:14Speaker 9: I didn't purchase it. If I were to purchase it,
- 30:17Speaker 9: I would have to go right after we're done here,
- 30:19Speaker 9: race down on a city bike to Soho, grab it,
- 30:22Speaker 9: come right back up because Ron and I are going
- 30:24Speaker 9: to leave straight for the airport.
- 30:25Speaker 5: Well, look, i'll say it. I'm glad you didn't purchase it, okay, because.
- 30:35Speaker 9: Let me show you.
- 30:36Speaker 5: You know what I actually like the jacket. You know
- 30:38Speaker 5: what I don't like though, I don't like people's ski
- 30:40Speaker 5: and they have matching pants.
- 30:41Speaker 9: And this is the bib that is it's a bib.
- 30:44Speaker 9: It's sick. Those are the pants. Bib pants that's a
- 30:48Speaker 9: must have.
- 30:49Speaker 5: I'm not talking about the pants.
- 30:50Speaker 9: If you don't want me to go matchie, matchie, I
- 30:52Speaker 9: would go.
- 30:53Speaker 5: I would go black pants and then that jacket.
- 30:56Speaker 9: No, I think what I want to do is pants
- 31:00Speaker 9: and then like a black jacket.
- 31:01Speaker 5: So that's exactly Oh no, I said, I said jacket
- 31:04Speaker 5: black pants. That works.
- 31:06Speaker 9: Yeah, that's cool, right, that works.
- 31:08Speaker 5: I hate the matching. It looks like you're gonna like
- 31:11Speaker 5: it looks like you're going on a race. Yeah, but okay,
- 31:13Speaker 5: and then there's another one that you're waiting to get
- 31:15Speaker 5: your competitive bib.
- 31:16Speaker 9: Brown jacket. That's kind of cool too, brown jacket, pants brown.
- 31:20Speaker 5: That jacket looks a little more casual than for skiing.
- 31:23Speaker 9: Well that what's cool about that is that I could
- 31:24Speaker 9: wear it not skiing.
- 31:26Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly, Oh, Red Lobster hit me up, this is cool.
- 31:31Speaker 9: Hey Francis, we loved your lobster bid. We too think
- 31:33Speaker 9: everyone should enjoy a whole lobster while at work. All

- 35:08Speaker 1: What are the lobster farms that red lobsters getting their
- 35:11Speaker 1: lobster from?
- 35:13Speaker 3: Like?
- 35:13Speaker 1: What do those look like? Is it like the chicken farms?
- 35:15Speaker 9: Probably very similar to the chicken farms.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Are they like stacked on top of each other like
- 35:20Speaker 1: the chickens?
- 35:21Speaker 5: I don't know, I really, I really don't know.
- 35:22Speaker 1: You think which is dumber a lobster or a chicken.
- 35:26Speaker 9: I actually think lobster are well, they're not that smart.
- 35:32Speaker 5: I would say chicken.
- 35:33Speaker 9: Because the lobster chicken are dumb.
- 35:35Speaker 5: Though, no, I would say chicken are dumber than lobster.
- 35:37Speaker 9: Oh really, Yeah, lobster can't back out of a trap, right,
- 35:41Speaker 9: isn't that the case?
- 35:42Speaker 1: I feel like some dogs can't go backwards.
- 35:45Speaker 5: No, most Yeah, they can't even back out of a trap.
- 35:48Speaker 1: A lot of animals can't back out of a trap. Horses.
- 35:52Speaker 9: I don't know that lobster traps have a door that
- 35:55Speaker 9: falls once the lobsters go in.
- 35:58Speaker 5: Lobster trap is like it's just paid circle on the ground.
- 36:01Speaker 1: It's like a big.
- 36:02Speaker 5: Metal crate and then it has like uh usually right, oh,
- 36:07Speaker 5: it is metal, and then it has like a circle.
- 36:11Speaker 5: They go through the circle and then through the circle,
- 36:13Speaker 5: and there's a bunch of net inside that traps them.
- 36:16Speaker 1: They have the Chinese lobster trap where they both going
- 36:19Speaker 1: one side and you can't pull it. You can't pull
- 36:21Speaker 1: them out.
- 36:21Speaker 5: I'm sure it's possible for them to get out, but.
- 36:23Speaker 9: The only way for those lobsters to get out is
- 36:25Speaker 9: if they both relax.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:27Speaker 9: Stop, They never do, Yeah, they say, if we just
- 36:30Speaker 9: pushed our heads together, the whole thing would actually sinch
- 36:32Speaker 9: you off.
- 36:34Speaker 5: It's like when the what are what are the animals
- 36:37Speaker 5: where their horns get or I guess like those rams,
- 36:40Speaker 5: but they're deer there when they're when they're when they're
- 36:42Speaker 5: they get hooked on each other, and it's like and
- 36:45Speaker 5: they die. They die because they they can't comprehend that, Like, hey,
- 36:49Speaker 5: if one of us just stays still and I just
- 36:50Speaker 5: wiggle a little bit, like we'd be good.
- 36:52Speaker 1: No, we're going to keep fighting. Yeah, no, this is
- 36:54Speaker 1: your fault. Yeah, fucking idiot.
- 36:57Speaker 9: That's pretty crazy.
- 36:58Speaker 5: It's got to be pretty uncomfortable.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Tough way to die.
- 37:01Speaker 9: Yeah, I'm getting a little confused about bears.
- 37:04Speaker 5: Imagine dying just latched on. We're just in a fight
- 37:07Speaker 5: with we've moved on.
- 37:09Speaker 9: Can you address what I say?
- 37:10Speaker 5: But imagine imagine if me and you got in a
- 37:11Speaker 5: fistfight and then we just had to like, for some
- 37:14Speaker 5: reason on your fingers just got tangled.
- 37:16Speaker 9: Like no, it's like hockey players, you can't let go,
- 37:19Speaker 9: and then.
- 37:19Speaker 5: We just had to stay there and slowly die looking
- 37:22Speaker 5: at each.
- 37:22Speaker 1: Other football players like this fucking because the.
- 37:26Speaker 5: Last person I wanted to die, looking at as the
- 37:28Speaker 5: person that I just got into.
- 37:29Speaker 1: A full on brawl when he didn't even kill me.
- 37:31Speaker 9: Yeah, it takes so long, though, you'd have to find
- 37:34Speaker 9: stuff to talk about.
- 37:35Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 37:36Speaker 5: I don't even think it takes that long for the
- 37:38Speaker 5: animals though, because they just flail until they died.
- 37:40Speaker 9: Dude, I've always wondered about Aaron Ralston when he was
- 37:43Speaker 9: trapped into the rock one hundred and twenty seven hours. Yeah,
- 37:46Speaker 9: and that's a situation where he knew he knew from
- 37:52Speaker 9: for a long time. If I don't do something, if
- 37:56Speaker 9: nothing happens, I'm going to die.
- 37:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:59Speaker 9: And so he he went through waves of acceptance, reflection,
- 38:04Speaker 9: made videos saying goodbye to his family. That's a very
- 38:07Speaker 9: rare thing that someone in you know, perfect health is
- 38:11Speaker 9: able to say goodbye to everyone and reflect on life
- 38:16Speaker 9: and all this. And it wasn't until he had this
- 38:20Speaker 9: like light bulb moment because he budged and he felt
- 38:24Speaker 9: the strain on his bones on his arm that he
- 38:26Speaker 9: realized he could leverage his weight, step on his own arm,
- 38:29Speaker 9: break it and then cut it off.
- 38:31Speaker 1: Knowing what that movie was about, I have never watched it.
- 38:34Speaker 1: As watching it.
- 38:37Speaker 9: It's a good movie. The book is really good.
- 38:39Speaker 5: I read the book his book, Yeah it's too I'm
- 38:44Speaker 5: not even like a claustrophobic person, but that just freaked
- 38:46Speaker 5: me out too much.
- 38:47Speaker 9: The scary part in the book was when he talked
- 38:49Speaker 9: about cutting through the nerves because he said that, you know,
- 38:52Speaker 9: he's cutting through his arm, and like, by this point,
- 38:55Speaker 9: much of his arm has decayed. So he actually when
- 38:58Speaker 9: he stabs his leatherman into it, it lets out a
- 39:01Speaker 9: hissing sound and he doesn't hear that. It doesn't hurt
- 39:03Speaker 9: that much, and he's broken the bones and now he
- 39:07Speaker 9: has a lot of adrenaline and cutting through the arm
- 39:10Speaker 9: and the tissue isn't that bad, the muscle's not that bad.
- 39:13Speaker 9: But then he accidentally brushes one of the nerve fibers
- 39:16Speaker 9: and it said he said, it was like sent shock
- 39:19Speaker 9: waves down his whole body. So then he decides to
- 39:21Speaker 9: save those for last, and he's very careful about like
- 39:24Speaker 9: avoiding them, but that cutting through them, he was was
- 39:27Speaker 9: the hardest part and worried he was going to pass out.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Yeah, this is like the worst advertisement for that book
- 39:32Speaker 1: that I could ever.
- 39:33Speaker 5: Yeah, I think I'm good on those. You don't need
- 39:36Speaker 5: to reatch that movie.
- 39:37Speaker 9: Ever, No, you don't need to read it.
- 39:38Speaker 5: I was never going to read it regardless, but I
- 39:40Speaker 5: definitely want watch the movie.
- 39:41Speaker 9: Drinks his own piss, drinks his own piss.
- 39:43Speaker 5: That doesn't bother me. I've come to terms with that
- 39:47Speaker 5: dick off.
- 39:49Speaker 9: He thought about it, at least in the movie he
- 39:51Speaker 9: thinks about it and then he stops.
- 39:52Speaker 1: Well, these nerves one less?
- 39:54Speaker 9: Yeah, what else? Though? Why did we get on that?
- 39:59Speaker 1: Imagine that finding his body and just a cumstaing.
- 40:04Speaker 5: Tack out of Sure, you were talking about bears.
- 40:08Speaker 1: Pants up. You were about to say that you don't
- 40:10Speaker 1: trust bears.
- 40:11Speaker 9: Now, No, it's not that I don't trust them. I
- 40:12Speaker 9: don't understand because all I see now are clips of
- 40:15Speaker 9: bears and people in the wilds around rivers, where the
- 40:21Speaker 9: people the bear bears are coming near the people and
- 40:25Speaker 9: not attacking them at all.
- 40:28Speaker 5: Well, bear attacks are are pretty rare.
- 40:30Speaker 9: It seems like bears are not as dangerous as everyone
- 40:34Speaker 9: said they were.
- 40:34Speaker 5: No, they definitely are. I think it takes a lot
- 40:40Speaker 5: for a bear to fully attack a person.
- 40:43Speaker 9: Are they becoming more sensitized and tame to people?
- 40:48Speaker 1: They have to be, But there's also probably so many
- 40:50Speaker 1: bears that aren't.
- 40:53Speaker 5: Well, it probably depends on where you are. If you're
- 40:55Speaker 5: in like Yellowstone, I'm sure those bears are somewhat used
- 41:00Speaker 5: to seeing humans. If you're in like Alaska, there's a
- 41:05Speaker 5: chance that a bear that you come across has never
- 41:07Speaker 5: seen a human.
- 41:08Speaker 9: And ever, speaking of some sick shit, did you see
- 41:11Speaker 9: Grizzly Man? Yeah right, did you see it?
- 41:14Speaker 1: Is that the one where the guy dies?
- 41:16Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 41:16Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 41:16Speaker 1: Yes? So?
- 41:17Speaker 9: The first of all, the director of that is Werner Herzog,
- 41:21Speaker 9: I think who whatever, He's a great director, typically does
- 41:26Speaker 9: like I think foreign films and random shit. Anyway, he
- 41:31Speaker 9: listens to the audio tape of that guy and his
- 41:35Speaker 9: girlfriend getting eaten alive by the bear.
- 41:37Speaker 5: I think that's proven to be fake.
- 41:39Speaker 9: Well, he listens to it in the from the girlfriend
- 41:45Speaker 9: or whatever, or like someone who knew who has the tape,
- 41:48Speaker 9: and he tells her like, you must never listen to this. Yeah,
- 41:52Speaker 9: then sick me went on YouTube me listen to it
- 41:57Speaker 9: and listened to it.
- 41:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:58Speaker 5: I listened to it too. It's pretty it's pretty bad.
- 42:00Speaker 5: But I thought someone told me it wasn't real.
- 42:02Speaker 3: Is it.
- 42:03Speaker 9: The reason I thought it was real is because you
- 42:05Speaker 9: can hear him bashing the bear over the head with
- 42:07Speaker 9: his pots and pans.
- 42:09Speaker 5: Yeah, I thought it was I thought it was real forever.
- 42:12Speaker 5: And then we were talking about this on the Yak
- 42:14Speaker 5: a while ago and someone said that that was fake.
- 42:17Speaker 5: I don't know if they did fake it, it's a
- 42:19Speaker 5: good fake.
- 42:20Speaker 9: Yeah, they clearly heard the story of how it happened
- 42:23Speaker 9: and then recreated that.
- 42:24Speaker 5: Yeah, that documentary is pretty sick.
- 42:27Speaker 1: But Pots and Pans is a little bit on the
- 42:30Speaker 1: nose as far as things that you would use to
- 42:34Speaker 1: simulate a struggle, well, like a little bit.
- 42:42Speaker 5: Yeah, ouch, Yeah, it's fucking looney tune sounds boying, why yoa,
- 43:01Speaker 5: it would be hilarious. The funniest part of that documentary
- 43:05Speaker 5: is when they're interviewing the pilot that used to drop
- 43:07Speaker 5: him off in Alaska and he's like, He's like, yeah,
- 43:10Speaker 5: I was, honestly, I was surprised at how long he
- 43:13Speaker 5: lasted out there, to be completely honest, I think the
- 43:17Speaker 5: bears thought he was retarded or something, so they had
- 43:21Speaker 5: let him so they let him live for a while.
- 43:24Speaker 5: He says it exactly that be No, he says he
- 43:28Speaker 5: thinks he the pilot who used to drop him off
- 43:31Speaker 5: every Summer says that the bears thought that the guy
- 43:34Speaker 5: was retarded and that's why they never killed him.
- 43:40Speaker 9: And finally, the bear that does is so starved and
- 43:43Speaker 9: sick that he's like fucking Yet rest of them are like, no,
- 43:48Speaker 9: come on, man, let him be the whole time. Of
- 43:50Speaker 9: them like we have a code.
- 43:53Speaker 5: It's such a crazy thing to say about someone like
- 43:57Speaker 5: after they died in a brutal bear hack and be like, well,
- 44:02Speaker 5: I mean, I'm just shocked that he lasted that long.
- 44:05Speaker 5: The Bears thought he was retarded, the.
- 44:09Speaker 1: Bears having an understanding of what like human retardation is
- 44:14Speaker 1: and being like, we really shouldn't. Yeah, it's uncouth. Let
- 44:19Speaker 1: him have a basket at the end of the game.
- 44:23Speaker 1: Let him shoot a three point that's so fucking ridiculous.
- 44:31Speaker 1: The pilot assumed that I could on them.
- 44:34Speaker 9: Though you've been to Alaska right now? Oh you should go.
- 44:38Speaker 1: I want gotta go. Oh you'll love it, little brood.
- 44:42Speaker 5: I want to go, but I don't. I want to
- 44:44Speaker 5: wait until I have enough money that I can go,
- 44:47Speaker 5: like and actually go, like, go out far.
- 44:52Speaker 9: Why is that?
- 44:53Speaker 5: Because I don't want to go and just go to
- 44:55Speaker 5: what's anchorage and and go to like to Charter.
- 44:58Speaker 1: I want to go.
- 44:59Speaker 5: I want to Yeah, I want to go. I take
- 45:01Speaker 5: a says no, and go to like one of those
- 45:02Speaker 5: lodges that are like in the middle of you.
- 45:03Speaker 9: I don't think that's as much as you'd think.
- 45:05Speaker 5: I think it's like ten thousand dollars maybe the one
- 45:09Speaker 5: that the one that Bow worked out was ten thousand
- 45:11Speaker 5: dollars a week, oh in per person, oh oh for
- 45:15Speaker 5: the lodge. Yeah, to stay there.
- 45:18Speaker 1: I think you would justify that. I think this summer
- 45:21Speaker 1: that's doable.
- 45:22Speaker 9: No, did I know that you have that money?
- 45:26Speaker 5: But even if I have money to do that, my
- 45:28Speaker 5: friends don't.
- 45:29Speaker 1: So you're not gonna go.
- 45:30Speaker 5: I'm not gonna go by myself.
- 45:31Speaker 9: Would you not subsidize them?
- 45:33Speaker 5: I could subsidize them, but I'm not. I can't spend
- 45:35Speaker 5: forty thousand dollars on a vacation on just the housing part.
- 45:39Speaker 9: Why don't you just bring Peters and Bow. You're gonna
- 45:42Speaker 9: bring Nate too.
- 45:44Speaker 5: If I'm bringing all of my friends, that's a ridiculous
- 45:48Speaker 5: amount of money.
- 45:48Speaker 9: Peter's Bow and Nate. You're gonna bring all of them.
- 45:51Speaker 5: Ideally we would all go.
- 45:53Speaker 1: I'm not.
- 45:53Speaker 5: I'm in this plan.
- 45:55Speaker 9: Nate is Nate even does he even want to do that?
- 45:58Speaker 5: Yeah, I would, I would assume.
- 45:59Speaker 9: So I think they're the core three, You and then
- 46:04Speaker 9: Nate's kind of a bubble guy.
- 46:05Speaker 5: No, you're wrong.
- 46:06Speaker 1: You and they're the two farthest in the friend group
- 46:10Speaker 1: from each other.
- 46:11Speaker 9: You know you're You're completely wrong, and like Bo and dude,
- 46:15Speaker 9: I've been hearing a lot about Nate lately. I think
- 46:17Speaker 9: he's kind of like had a big year now all
- 46:19Speaker 9: of a sudden, totally wrong in the rank. Dude, I've
- 46:24Speaker 9: been hearing less about Peter.
- 46:25Speaker 5: Nate's been I've been friends with Nate longer than I've
- 46:27Speaker 5: been friends with Peters.
- 46:28Speaker 1: So you're growing apart? No, that makes the most sense.
- 46:31Speaker 9: No, not at all.
- 46:32Speaker 5: I was playing video games with Nate last night.
- 46:35Speaker 3: No.
- 46:35Speaker 9: Yeah, but we're saying you and Peters grew apart because
- 46:38Speaker 9: Peters you don't talk about anymore.
- 46:41Speaker 5: I played video games with Peters last night too.
- 46:43Speaker 9: So where's Bo? Is it bot who got bumped in Spain?
- 46:46Speaker 5: Right now?
- 46:47Speaker 9: Yeah? So all of his travel is kind of yeah,
- 46:50Speaker 9: worn away.
- 46:52Speaker 1: That's why Nate got the call up right, be Bo's
- 46:56Speaker 1: on the I R right, got it?
- 46:58Speaker 5: Bo got nixed wants us to uh Beau wants us
- 47:02Speaker 5: all to go to Spain and visit him.
- 47:04Speaker 1: I would.
- 47:05Speaker 5: Yeah, we're thinking about it.
- 47:06Speaker 1: No, I think all of us should go.
- 47:08Speaker 5: We kits aren't going. You're not invited. Stop you guys
- 47:13Speaker 5: simply just not invited.
- 47:15Speaker 9: You can't stop us from going to Spain.
- 47:17Speaker 5: I was actually considering I might. I think I might
- 47:19Speaker 5: go to tell your ride this weekend and sabotage your trip.
- 47:22Speaker 9: Dude, if you came to tell your ride this weekend,
- 47:24Speaker 9: it would be the best thing of all fucking time.
- 47:26Speaker 5: It would be pretty I'd be so happy that you
- 47:29Speaker 5: were coming because I was thinking about it. I don't
- 47:30Speaker 5: have anything this weekend.
- 47:31Speaker 9: You want to come.
- 47:32Speaker 5: I have spots.
- 47:33Speaker 9: I'm not even kidding you. We have a bunk room
- 47:35Speaker 9: that has extra beds in it.
- 47:37Speaker 5: I wouldn't need the bunk I wouldn't need the bunk room.
- 47:39Speaker 9: I'm saying, we have extra beds.
- 47:44Speaker 1: Blow up.
- 47:45Speaker 9: Two of the guys are staying in the bunk room.
- 47:48Speaker 5: Yes, stay there. I don't want to stay in the
- 47:50Speaker 5: bunk room with two of the guys.
- 47:52Speaker 1: Where the girls.
- 47:53Speaker 5: I don't know yours? Because the thing is, I don't
- 47:55Speaker 5: know your boys.
- 47:55Speaker 9: They're good guys. They're good guys. This is a fun
- 47:57Speaker 9: this is a really fun group.
- 47:59Speaker 5: It was it one of them, dude, that I've met.
- 48:02Speaker 5: I don't know how many of my die in Wisconsin.
- 48:05Speaker 5: The only one that I've ever met. Oh no, not that,
- 48:07Speaker 5: not him. No, he's good people.
- 48:10Speaker 9: This is this is really good people.
- 48:13Speaker 1: Weirdly, Francis's friends are the biggest mystery. Yeah, because I
- 48:16Speaker 1: feel like you both have met a decent amount of
- 48:17Speaker 1: my friends. Yep, I've met a couple of your friends.
- 48:22Speaker 9: I've got two John's a Matt, and I've got Wiley.
- 48:25Speaker 5: I've only met one of your friends Ben Ben.
- 48:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess I've only met one of your Ben.
- 48:32Speaker 5: Ben was hilarious. Ben and Mooke going out together by himself,
- 48:35Speaker 5: so funny, dude. I genuinely think Mooke might be like
- 48:39Speaker 5: the funniest person I've ever met. Everything he does is
- 48:42Speaker 5: like I die laughing because everything he does.
- 48:47Speaker 1: What did he do in Minnesota? That that's an example
- 48:49Speaker 1: of this.
- 48:50Speaker 5: It's just like like like like laying in bed, we're
- 48:53Speaker 5: like we're our rooms are right next to each other,
- 48:56Speaker 5: and we're talking about like he had to go get food.
- 48:59Speaker 9: And his food forward is crazy it's crazy.
- 49:06Speaker 5: Then I hear his door. It's like one am, and
- 49:10Speaker 5: I hear his door open and close, and I'm like,
- 49:12Speaker 5: he's going down for snacks.
- 49:13Speaker 9: He's going he's going out just.
- 49:19Speaker 5: Howling know it.
- 49:22Speaker 9: If he doesn't get to bed at a certain time,
- 49:25Speaker 9: then he's going to seven eleven or burner thing.
- 49:28Speaker 5: And then I heard the door close, and I texted
- 49:32Speaker 5: him and I was like, I was like, you're going
- 49:34Speaker 5: for snacks. And then he said, uh, let me see
- 49:38Speaker 5: what he said, because he texted something hilarious. Let me see.
- 49:47Speaker 5: Oh yeah, he go. I go, I go, you're going
- 49:49Speaker 5: for snacks, and he goes one step ahead and then
- 49:51Speaker 5: he goes, Wendy's forgot half my order. And then he
- 49:55Speaker 5: replied like five minutes later and he goes he he
- 49:58Speaker 5: goes the eminem cookie and sandwich. Life changing.
- 50:06Speaker 1: Why is he? Uh? Why is he like that?
- 50:08Speaker 9: What do you mean he doesn't he doesn't think ahead?
- 50:12Speaker 5: Well, I mean I do the same thing. Like I had.
- 50:15Speaker 5: I had pizza that I that I got for lunch
- 50:17Speaker 5: that I had left over, and I took all that
- 50:19Speaker 5: down and then I went down and got snacks after
- 50:20Speaker 5: Molke got snacks.
- 50:21Speaker 9: Oh you went after he came back.
- 50:23Speaker 1: After he came back, I went, yeah, I can't believe
- 50:27Speaker 1: you have diarrhea.
- 50:29Speaker 5: I didn't have diarrhea from that, but you have it
- 50:32Speaker 5: from the pasta.
- 50:34Speaker 1: Okay, fairy enough gluten, which is also a Mook decision.
- 50:37Speaker 5: But I guess pizza's gluten. Yeah, mostly pizza is gluten.
- 50:41Speaker 1: Yeah, it's only gluten.
- 50:42Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 50:43Speaker 5: So maybe it was that I don't know, like a
- 50:45Speaker 5: real like a real like creamy saucy pasta. Fox my
- 50:49Speaker 5: stomach up. And I think that probably sucks up a
- 50:51Speaker 5: lot of people's stomachs. I don't think I'm the only one.
- 50:53Speaker 1: I think you just genuinely enjoy Mook's friendship because you
- 50:57Speaker 1: were just like, Mook does the funniest shit ever. And
- 51:00Speaker 1: we're like, what's like an example, and you're like, he
- 51:02Speaker 1: got a snack?
- 51:03Speaker 5: Yeah, just like watching him operate, it's so funny.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Like, uh, just describe what's what's funny about it?
- 51:11Speaker 5: It's just it's just funny. It just cracks me up.
- 51:13Speaker 1: When we were on I just love him, like bro.
- 51:16Speaker 9: When we were all in Denver last year, Sas stayed
- 51:19Speaker 9: with Peters and this was when this was before Nate
- 51:22Speaker 9: had kind of like worked in and uh is that
- 51:25Speaker 9: when you and Moo and I stayed together.
- 51:30Speaker 5: I think, have I told this story, the toothpaste story.
- 51:34Speaker 9: The first night that there, Moot comes over and he's like, dude,
- 51:38Speaker 9: can I borrow some toothpaste? And I was like, I
- 51:42Speaker 9: can't do this anymore. It was the first night he
- 51:46Speaker 9: like borrowed my toothpaste, and then I took my toothpaste
- 51:49Speaker 9: and took a knife and cut off and cut off
- 51:56Speaker 9: a bunch of it so that I would have not
- 51:58Speaker 9: not bristles from all staining. The last part, Oh my god.
- 52:04Speaker 5: I remember them being in the green room and move
- 52:08Speaker 5: being on stage, or you being on stage and move
- 52:11Speaker 5: being like last night, I asked Francis if I could
- 52:13Speaker 5: use his use his tooth faste, and he said to me,
- 52:17Speaker 5: he was like, dude, this isn't a fraternity. He definitely
- 52:27Speaker 5: told that story before. But it's so funny, just the
- 52:32Speaker 5: idea of Mook and Francis having to stay together.
- 52:35Speaker 9: I went into his room the next morning, probably like
- 52:37Speaker 9: you know, ten am, and like he was still kind
- 52:40Speaker 9: of asleep, and he had burger rappers on his bedside table,
- 52:46Speaker 9: like he fell asleep and his arm managed to like
- 52:50Speaker 9: put the last fight down.
- 52:53Speaker 5: Me because it's like I do the exact same thing,
- 52:55Speaker 5: So it's funny to imagine like that. It's just funny
- 52:58Speaker 5: picturing him doing the act same That's what I do too.
- 53:02Speaker 5: That's crazy, So does Fidelberg? Does that? Have you ever
- 53:06Speaker 5: heard Fidelberg's nighttime routine?
- 53:08Speaker 9: I haven't, But at this point, I don't know how
- 53:10Speaker 9: much I believe him on some of that stuff anymore.
- 53:13Speaker 9: I'm sure he used to, but he is so fit
- 53:15Speaker 9: now that, like I can't fathom it.
- 53:18Speaker 5: Still does I think he just works I think he
- 53:21Speaker 5: just works out like insane. But dude, Fidelberg has told
- 53:25Speaker 5: me that his his nighttime routine is he smokes as
- 53:30Speaker 5: much weed as he possibly can, and then he he
- 53:33Speaker 5: stuffs as much food into his into his body as possible,
- 53:37Speaker 5: and then at the like the last bite, as the
- 53:40Speaker 5: food is going in his mouth, he's putting the mouth
- 53:43Speaker 5: tape over his mouth like like finishing the food, mouth
- 53:47Speaker 5: tape high as fuck, and then just passes out, immediately
- 53:51Speaker 5: brush his teeth before. I don't know. I don't know.
- 53:54Speaker 9: Sounds like someone I would actually want a room with.
- 53:58Speaker 5: Two face exchanges.
- 54:01Speaker 1: But he literally like locks the door behind him, it's
- 54:04Speaker 1: like the fucking Star Wars closing of the gates as
- 54:08Speaker 1: they fly out.
- 54:09Speaker 9: Yeah, I was gonna say those packed Japanese train cars,
- 54:11Speaker 9: or maybe it's like North Korea, or maybe it's South
- 54:13Speaker 9: Korea where there's like someone who just physically stuffs people
- 54:16Speaker 9: in and then the doors closed. That's the mouth tape
- 54:19Speaker 9: so funny.
- 54:20Speaker 1: That is preposterous.
- 54:22Speaker 5: We had a pretty good weekend though in Bloomington. I
- 54:24Speaker 5: mean it was it was. It felt like, I don't
- 54:28Speaker 5: know why. It felt so busy. It felt like we
- 54:31Speaker 5: were just non stop moving, even though we really were
- 54:33Speaker 5: just doing the shows. The shows. I will say, like
- 54:37Speaker 5: remember when we did Wisconsin and we and we were
- 54:39Speaker 5: like this is work Friday morning, I was like, it
- 54:44Speaker 5: feels like I've been here for a week.
- 54:45Speaker 9: Yeah, I get that.
- 54:47Speaker 5: But the shows were good. There was only one. The
- 54:49Speaker 5: Saturday early show was like whoa Saturday early show was
- 54:54Speaker 5: packed and it was all There was like a couple
- 54:57Speaker 5: people there to see me, but it was mostly very
- 55:01Speaker 5: old people from the mall. And I saw he was
- 55:07Speaker 5: me Mouke and Adien McCluskey, who I don't know if
- 55:09Speaker 5: he's done our podcast, has he did he come on ours?
- 55:13Speaker 1: I'm not sure he did.
- 55:14Speaker 5: I know he did anis and he did the act
- 55:17Speaker 5: and we did one of those with him. I think
- 55:20Speaker 5: you've met him, I think. But he's hilarious. Sounds like
- 55:23Speaker 5: a football player's name, Adia McCluskey. Yeah, he's like five five,
- 55:28Speaker 5: like one hundred pounds.
- 55:29Speaker 1: So not quite sounds like a Detroit line to me.
- 55:32Speaker 5: But he's the best. He's hilarious. He's so funny, and
- 55:34Speaker 5: he's really good at stand up and and so I
- 55:37Speaker 5: saw Mooke and him go up and both of them
- 55:40Speaker 5: did not do well, and I was like, all right,
- 55:43Speaker 5: so clearly this is gonna be a terrible time. And
- 55:46Speaker 5: I got up on stage and I told them. When
- 55:47Speaker 5: I got off stage, I was like, I don't think
- 55:49Speaker 5: I've ever been I don't think I've ever been more
- 55:51Speaker 5: calm on stage than I was that entire set, Like
- 55:55Speaker 5: the whole set. It was literally like I felt like
- 55:57Speaker 5: I was a monk. I was just up there. I
- 55:59Speaker 5: was like I nothing was working, like all the jokes
- 56:02Speaker 5: are bombing, and I was up there just completely taking it,
- 56:05Speaker 5: just being like, yup, this is this is gonna be
- 56:07Speaker 5: the show.
- 56:07Speaker 9: Did you acknowledge it?
- 56:09Speaker 5: I acknowledged it A couple of times, I was like,
- 56:11Speaker 5: I'm giving you guys exactly what you're giving me. I
- 56:13Speaker 5: was like, we're trading off here.
- 56:15Speaker 9: That's funny.
- 56:15Speaker 5: Yeah, Like I mean, because like I would make a joke,
- 56:17Speaker 5: and like there was these two dude, two older men
- 56:20Speaker 5: in the front who were like with their wives, and
- 56:22Speaker 5: they like I would look at one of them, I
- 56:24Speaker 5: would make a joke, one of them would laugh, and
- 56:27Speaker 5: then they would look at the other one and he
- 56:28Speaker 5: wouldn't be laughing, and then the other one would immediately
- 56:30Speaker 5: stop laughing, and vice versa. Like there was like a
- 56:33Speaker 5: competition to see who could not laugh. Like they like
- 56:37Speaker 5: they hated me so much that like when they would laugh,
- 56:40Speaker 5: there was like shame towards.
- 56:42Speaker 9: The laugh How were the wives? Were they laughing?
- 56:45Speaker 5: They laughed? Okay, It wasn't like a obviously I'm exaggerating.
- 56:49Speaker 5: It wasn't like a fucking everything like. It worked, but
- 56:52Speaker 5: it wasn't like what you want as a comedian.
- 56:56Speaker 1: It wasn't like an O'Malley show.
- 56:57Speaker 5: It wasn't an O'Malley show. If we weren't getting the
- 57:00Speaker 5: explosive the explosive lasts.
- 57:02Speaker 1: They get the no.
- 57:04Speaker 5: But the show after that was great, had a blast
- 57:08Speaker 5: the shows. Over All, the shows were actually very I
- 57:10Speaker 5: was expecting it because that club is is notoriously not great.
- 57:14Speaker 1: It's because you have the fishing gear. Did you wear
- 57:17Speaker 1: that on stage? I did exactly Land of one thousand Lakes.
- 57:20Speaker 5: Yeah, But overall the shows were The shows were actually
- 57:23Speaker 5: pretty fun, pretty solid weekend nice.

- 1:00:24Speaker 1: come out? I don't like eighteen forty five.
- 1:00:28Speaker 5: Probably I'd imagine the crew neck was before the hoodie,
- 1:00:31Speaker 5: because I'd assume the hoodie forever was just the jacket
- 1:00:34Speaker 5: right now, I think that's probably a spot on. Guess, yeah,
- 1:00:38Speaker 5: that's spot on. Wow, what about the hoodie? Do not
- 1:00:47Speaker 5: tell me it's gonna be in like the seventeen T.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: Shirt nineteen thirty two, crew neck nineteen thirty nine.
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: So what were fools doing in like nineteen twenty.
- 1:00:56Speaker 9: They were wearing like bloomers or like first.
- 1:00:59Speaker 5: Suits shirts with ruffles, like you're telling me. In the
- 1:01:02Speaker 5: World War One, no one was rocking a T shirt.
- 1:01:08Speaker 5: That just can't be true.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: No one just had.
- 1:01:11Speaker 5: No one had like a Haynes white T shirt on
- 1:01:13Speaker 5: under a fucking under their military uniform.
- 1:01:16Speaker 9: That is a good point.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: They didn't have cotton, they didn't have They had to
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: have had a T shirt.
- 1:01:23Speaker 5: Did you ever watch the newer All Quiet on the
- 1:01:26Speaker 5: Western Front? Now, I've heard it's really good. I've heard
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: it's super dark.
- 1:01:30Speaker 9: It's so dark and so dreary.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: Yeah, aren't they wear T shirts at the beginning? That
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: there's no T shirts in All Quiet on the Western Front?
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: Or not?
- 1:01:38Speaker 5: Actually, the wife beater came first. They made them for
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: World War One. That's interesting.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: We have nothing to fight in, so the hoodie had
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: to have come.
- 1:01:47Speaker 5: I think the hoodie didn't come out until like the
- 1:01:48Speaker 5: seventies or the eighties.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: No, yeah, true, Yeah, what.
- 1:01:54Speaker 5: For not makes sense? Yeah, because it's like it's a
- 1:01:57Speaker 5: little warmer there. You don't need the full jacket, so
- 1:02:00Speaker 5: why not just go hoodie?
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: Rochester Knickerbocker Knitting Company, which eventually became the brand. Come
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: again there with that first word Knickerbocker.
- 1:02:11Speaker 5: Bro, you can't say that.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: What does it sound like to you?
- 1:02:13Speaker 5: It sounds like the N word.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: Well, it's the K word, brother. Yeah, but that eventually
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: became the brand Champion. So the Champion hoodie, the original hoodie.
- 1:02:22Speaker 9: Oh cool, that's cool. Champion had a major resurgence they did. Yeah,
- 1:02:29Speaker 9: it became cool again.
- 1:02:30Speaker 5: Yeah they did. That's like the most like, uh, people
- 1:02:34Speaker 5: love people love bringing up that topic. How Champion. They're like,
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: I used to buy I used to buy nine dollars
- 1:02:40Speaker 5: crew necks at Walmart for Champion, and now people are like,
- 1:02:43Speaker 5: and now you go, they're six hundred dollars for Champion.
- 1:02:46Speaker 9: Yeah, but you know what, dude, the people who complain
- 1:02:49Speaker 9: about that are the ones who made it happen. Yeah,
- 1:02:54Speaker 9: it's like if you hadn't been buying the nine dollars
- 1:02:57Speaker 9: crew necks, we wouldn't have made it cool. Yeah, it
- 1:03:02Speaker 9: was because you were a leading fashion person. You were
- 1:03:06Speaker 9: ahead of the game. We all saw you doing it.
- 1:03:08Speaker 9: It was cool, and then we all wanted champion and
- 1:03:11Speaker 9: you were also wearing New Balance and we all then said, oh,
- 1:03:16Speaker 9: those look cool. That guy says it's cool, and now
- 1:03:18Speaker 9: you're mad that New Balance is everywhere. Yeah.
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: I used to wear the night Dollar Crew necks from Walmart.
- 1:03:24Speaker 5: They were great.
- 1:03:25Speaker 9: What's a brand? What are other brands where this has happened? Oh,
- 1:03:29Speaker 9: Abercrombie and Fitch. Abercrombie and Fitch has had this gigantic renaissance.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: Really and people love to talk about it.
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: People are wearing Abercrombie and Fitch now.
- 1:03:38Speaker 9: Bro, it's like one of the hottest coolest.
- 1:03:43Speaker 5: I thought that was Like I knew Abercrombie and Fitch
- 1:03:45Speaker 5: was big when I was younger.
- 1:03:46Speaker 9: Yes, of course. And back then it was pop Callars, pukahell,
- 1:03:50Speaker 9: some shirtless hunk at the front wearing tons of cologne.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:03:55Speaker 9: Yeah, and then that went away and it kind of
- 1:03:57Speaker 9: went under for a while. They made a document to
- 1:04:00Speaker 9: worry about how they were racing. Yeah, and then the brand,
- 1:04:03Speaker 9: I don't know, it was probably bought by some private
- 1:04:05Speaker 9: equity firm with some forward thinking guy who then said,
- 1:04:09Speaker 9: we're gonna roll this back out as like an Americana
- 1:04:12Speaker 9: lifestyle brand, but with a better ear to what's coming
- 1:04:16Speaker 9: around the corner from fashion, which is like work wear
- 1:04:20Speaker 9: and you know, heavier pants and work trousers and chunky
- 1:04:25Speaker 9: stuff and boxy stuff.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: And also, I think their secret is microplastics. Dude. I
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: think that Abercrombie is one of the league leaders in
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: microplastics per piece of clothing. They put it in their pants,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: it's in everything, and I think it gives their a
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: little bit more heft to some of their stuff. I
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: think you're just wearing plastic.
- 1:04:45Speaker 5: I appreciate it though.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: I love it.
- 1:04:47Speaker 5: I love a little heft.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: I love a little bit of plastic. Well, dress me
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: like a fucking lego bro, I don't care.
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: That's what I want, a fucking full lego shirt. In
- 1:04:54Speaker 5: my dream world, everyone's just got a box on, can't
- 1:04:58Speaker 5: tell what anyone's body looks like, like bezos like the Mountain.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's nice. I think that it removes some
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: of the necessity of individuality and the pressure to stand
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: out with how you're dressing. Just get everybody in the
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: same box lego clothing.
- 1:05:15Speaker 5: I only wear box clothing, Like I can't wear like
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: people when they're like they're like they show like a
- 1:05:21Speaker 5: like one of those like True cuts or those shirts
- 1:05:24Speaker 5: that they're always sponsored on Instagram. Yeah, and they're like
- 1:05:27Speaker 5: they're like, this shirt's great. It's so oh my god,
- 1:05:30Speaker 5: I feel how soft it is? So soft?
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: Not for me. I don't want any soft.
- 1:05:35Speaker 5: I don't want I don't want shirts that are like
- 1:05:37Speaker 5: sticking to every crease in my stomach.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: It like hugs the b set, you know, I don't want.
- 1:05:43Speaker 5: I don't want my biceps hugged the titty.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, my bicep doesn't like hugs.
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: I want the loosest possible sleeve on the bicep. Do
- 1:05:51Speaker 5: not want my bicep being highlighted in any way.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: Maybe just cover up the whole bicet. Yeah, let's go
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: back to the three quarter length baseball shirt.
- 1:05:58Speaker 5: That's literally what I get. Unicloth uniclose shirts that go
- 1:06:01Speaker 5: down to the elbow.
- 1:06:04Speaker 9: Softball shirts. Yeah. Wait, so let me ask you this.
- 1:06:08Speaker 9: Uh one time when we were in when we were
- 1:06:10Speaker 9: in Wisconsin, I took I took mook shopping and then
- 1:06:17Speaker 9: you joined us at that store, which is a great store.
- 1:06:19Speaker 9: Great store, any store that has a dog in it,
- 1:06:22Speaker 9: it's a good store. And uh I bought him a shirt?
- 1:06:27Speaker 5: You did?
- 1:06:27Speaker 9: Yeah? Do you know if he still has that shirt?
- 1:06:29Speaker 5: I have never seen him wear that shirt.
- 1:06:31Speaker 9: I was worried about that.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: You got him a shirt to like elevate his his fashion.
- 1:06:35Speaker 5: I will say I believe he did say I'm never
- 1:06:37Speaker 5: gonna wear this shirt when you were buying it for
- 1:06:40Speaker 5: that was his shirt like that? It was a flannel.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: Yeah, this is.
- 1:06:46Speaker 9: Pissing me off.
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: What color flannel? I remember?
- 1:06:49Speaker 5: I think it was blue?
- 1:06:51Speaker 9: Red?
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: Say? When was the last time, okay.
- 1:06:56Speaker 9: You know you give your toothpaste to someone buy them
- 1:06:58Speaker 9: a shirt? Francis sellis Hi, Connor, Hey, what's up, dude?
- 1:07:05Speaker 9: How are you good? How are you doing? I'm well, thanks,
- 1:07:09Speaker 9: I'm here with Roan and sasas were recording Son of
- 1:07:11Speaker 9: a Boy Dad, what's up?
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: Boys's brother?
- 1:07:15Speaker 9: The question everyone was wondering is when was the last
- 1:07:17Speaker 9: time you wore that shirt that I bought you in Wisconsin?
- 1:07:21Speaker 14: Uh?
- 1:07:21Speaker 13: So I wore it to a wedding rehearsal in April
- 1:07:28Speaker 13: of twenty twenty four, and then I wore it again
- 1:07:33Speaker 13: on a date this fall.
- 1:07:36Speaker 9: Wow, so it's getting used. That's pretty infrequent, my friend.
- 1:07:40Speaker 5: That's actually not that bad formal occasions.
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:07:43Speaker 9: Is that the fanciest shirt you have? Yes, it's a flannel.
- 1:07:51Speaker 13: Yeah, it's like, you know, if I'm feeling fancy, I
- 1:07:54Speaker 13: pulled out.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: It's not really like an every day for me, you know.
- 1:07:57Speaker 9: I like sweatshirts, right right, Okay, all right, Well that's
- 1:08:01Speaker 9: good because had the date go, Did she like the shirt? No,
- 1:08:08Speaker 9: she made a point of letting that be known.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: I like kind of purposely brought it up too.
- 1:08:13Speaker 5: I was like, I'm wearing my good shirt and she
- 1:08:14Speaker 5: was like, that's kind of just a shirt.
- 1:08:17Speaker 9: Damn yo, balk her dude.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: Yeah, we we broke things off good.
- 1:08:22Speaker 13: But but here's the thing I promise you next road
- 1:08:26Speaker 13: date we do, I'll wear it on stage for you.
- 1:08:27Speaker 9: No, don't, don't fit don't. That was the issue. You
- 1:08:32Speaker 9: were too overweight for it.
- 1:08:34Speaker 13: At points throughout the year.
- 1:08:36Speaker 9: Yeah, so that's why you haven't been wearing it because
- 1:08:38Speaker 9: of all the burger king you eat at two in
- 1:08:40Speaker 9: the morning.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:08:41Speaker 5: Oh yeah, we had had a burger king weekend this weekend.
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: Man you would have been disgusted.
- 1:08:45Speaker 9: I'm always disgusted in you. Well, thank you, Conor. Great
- 1:08:49Speaker 9: to talk to you, brother. We'll see you soon. You too.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: All right? Wait, so you got the redheaded bro a
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: red red shirt.
- 1:08:58Speaker 9: It was the one he wanted. It wasn't what I
- 1:09:00Speaker 9: guiding him towards.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: Getting a redheaded guy red shirt is uh.
- 1:09:03Speaker 9: I don't wear red. I stay very far away from red.
- 1:09:06Speaker 9: I know it's red on red.
- 1:09:07Speaker 5: You know, what's something that's I just completely forgot about.
- 1:09:10Speaker 5: That was bizarre that move did this weekend. He didn't
- 1:09:13Speaker 5: bring a jacket, and he had some sort of reasoning
- 1:09:16Speaker 5: as to why he did it, like some explanations like like, yeah,
- 1:09:20Speaker 5: I don't know, I just didn't think Like Minnesota in
- 1:09:23Speaker 5: January was outside, Yeah.
- 1:09:30Speaker 9: Did he think he was going to buy one there?
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: No?
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: Did he buy one?
- 1:09:33Speaker 10: No?
- 1:09:33Speaker 5: So he just went the whole weekend. Whole weekend was
- 1:09:36Speaker 5: sweatshirt freezing.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: Did he wear a multiple sweatshirts? No? Did he wear
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: the sweatshirt on stage? Yeah, So he just got to
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: the club and didn't take anything off.
- 1:09:44Speaker 5: Now what God, damn dude, I mean, dude, it was
- 1:09:48Speaker 5: so cold there.
- 1:09:49Speaker 9: Yeah, it's cold.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: What a goofy bastard.
- 1:09:52Speaker 5: It also snowed the entire time. It never once said
- 1:09:55Speaker 5: it was gonna snow, and it snowed consistently the entire weekend.
- 1:09:58Speaker 9: Being in you know, Ireland, Yeah with rain, Yeah, yeah,
- 1:10:04Speaker 9: it's coming. Yeah.
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: Minneapolis Loki has their own cuisine, like a country like Scotland,
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: does they have hot dish.
- 1:10:17Speaker 5: My manager was telling me that a place where they
- 1:10:19Speaker 5: sell like they sell like some restaurant where they have
- 1:10:24Speaker 5: like they sell like it's just like Native American foods.
- 1:10:30Speaker 9: What's that?
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:10:30Speaker 5: You sent me human being.
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: No.
- 1:10:33Speaker 5: He said it was like weird dishes with like popcorn
- 1:10:35Speaker 5: in it and ship but he said it was cool.
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: I didn't go Orville Reddenbucker was.
- 1:10:41Speaker 9: Five man, five man with popcorn. Oh ju.
- 1:10:46Speaker 5: It was called a.
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: Womney any sounds amazing. I really think that they have
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: their own their own food cornered up there. Hot dish
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: was ridiculous.
- 1:10:57Speaker 9: What's hot dish?
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: It's like a casserole and there's like different types of it.
- 1:11:03Speaker 5: It's the nation's first indigenous restaurant.
- 1:11:07Speaker 9: It can't be the first, well, firsts first indigenous restaurant
- 1:11:13Speaker 9: chefed by white man.
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: First is like that's more racist than having an than
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: not having an indigenous restaurant. We're actually the first ones
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: to cook Native American food here.
- 1:11:27Speaker 5: Do you guys look like a lot of Native Americans
- 1:11:29Speaker 5: working there? M they've all got long ponytails.
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: Rated hot dish is a hardy casserole like dish originating
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: in the Upper Midwest, particularly popular in Minnesota. And it
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: looks like ground beef with corn, carrots and peas and
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: tater tots crusting the top of it. That does not
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: look good.
- 1:11:54Speaker 9: No, it doesn't look very good.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: Looks Yeah, it almost looks aggressively bad. Soup kitchen, but
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: of course soup kitchens, all right, the integral part of
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: the country. Everyone should volunteer. Where are we at on time?
- 1:12:15Speaker 9: You guys ever reacted such a piece of shit for
- 1:12:18Speaker 9: like at a period of time that you feel like
- 1:12:20Speaker 9: you need to start volunteering.
- 1:12:23Speaker 5: Now. But I did help someone get their back down
- 1:12:25Speaker 5: on the plane yesterday. Oh and it was actually, uh,
- 1:12:29Speaker 5: it was a little bit of a trade off. Let's
- 1:12:31Speaker 5: say I did something that I actually hate when people do,
- 1:12:35Speaker 5: but I had to do it because I was I
- 1:12:38Speaker 5: grabbed her thigh. No, there was a there was a
- 1:12:42Speaker 5: lady sitting next to me, and I said, you have
- 1:12:44Speaker 5: a phone charger that I could use because I'm trying
- 1:12:47Speaker 5: to watch the Bills Broncos game right now and I
- 1:12:50Speaker 5: do not have a phone charger with me.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: That's like forgetting your jacket.
- 1:12:53Speaker 5: And Luckily, like I said, this was someone that is
- 1:12:56Speaker 5: clearly not good in the air.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: So she was like to go.
- 1:13:01Speaker 5: She was like, oh, of course, and she pulls out
- 1:13:03Speaker 5: this like massive portable charger. Anyway, dude, he charge my
- 1:13:06Speaker 5: phone to sixty percent in like ten minutes from zero.
- 1:13:10Speaker 5: It was incredible. And then at the end of the flight,
- 1:13:12Speaker 5: I helped her get her bag down and she said, you,
- 1:13:15Speaker 5: she did, you earned your You you earned your charge?
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: Did you watch the game on your phone?
- 1:13:22Speaker 5: So I watched. I tried the Wi Fi was I
- 1:13:26Speaker 5: did a Wi Fi speed test in the air point
- 1:13:28Speaker 5: one two millibytes per second, which is zero. That means
- 1:13:33Speaker 5: that the WiFi literally does not exist. But I was
- 1:13:36Speaker 5: able to pull up on ESPN like a live play
- 1:13:39Speaker 5: by play, so I read most of the game, like
- 1:13:43Speaker 5: I read like James Cook just took off for a
- 1:13:45Speaker 5: forty yard touchdown and I was like fuck yeah, and
- 1:13:49Speaker 5: then uh, and then I and then I got the
- 1:13:51Speaker 5: WiFi went up a little bit, and I got enough
- 1:13:53Speaker 5: to the point that I could listen on the on
- 1:13:56Speaker 5: the NFL Network app, you can get the option to
- 1:13:59Speaker 5: watch like the national broadcast, or you can listen. It
- 1:14:02Speaker 5: gives you all the stations that you can listen on,
- 1:14:03Speaker 5: and you're moving.
- 1:14:04Speaker 9: Through the like genesis of technology and sports consumption.
- 1:14:09Speaker 5: Yes, yes, I ended use code.
- 1:14:14Speaker 9: The Chicago Black so beat down the Sun Diergo Padres
- 1:14:18Speaker 9: to score this.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: Josh Allen a touchdown.
- 1:14:22Speaker 5: I listened to the local Buffalo broadcast, which was actually awesome.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: It is way more funny.
- 1:14:26Speaker 5: It's because they're fired up.
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: Yeah, they're screaming.
- 1:14:29Speaker 5: Really cool John because he was the play where it
- 1:14:31Speaker 5: was fourth and one and Josh Allen had like no
- 1:14:34Speaker 5: one to go to, and then somehow he ended up
- 1:14:35Speaker 5: making it into a touchdown where it looks like it
- 1:14:38Speaker 5: was going to be a dead play and they're gonna
- 1:14:39Speaker 5: turn over on downs and they were like, this is incredible.
- 1:14:47Speaker 5: And then I lost Wi fi like five minutes later,
- 1:14:50Speaker 5: and then I just was But at that point they
- 1:14:52Speaker 5: were already up so much. I was like, God, I
- 1:14:53Speaker 5: assume the Bills won the game.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a shill acting.
- 1:14:56Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: Yeah. I was listening to the Command Local broadcast driving
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: back from the Eagles game, and they were going, fucking.
- 1:15:04Speaker 5: Yeah, that was a I mean, that was an unreal game.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: We needed one classic.
- 1:15:09Speaker 5: That's a player like, that's playoff football. That's what we're
- 1:15:11Speaker 5: looking for. Next week will be great, Tonight should be decent.
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: Well that's I mean, this comes out on Thursday.
- 1:15:17Speaker 5: That's already out, so we can't even do our parlay.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: I know we're gonna have to do like a dendum.
- 1:15:22Speaker 5: Or should we just do our parlay and assume that
- 1:15:24Speaker 5: the Vikings won school school? But I don't think we
- 1:15:29Speaker 5: can do that because actually I think there's probably a
- 1:15:31Speaker 5: good chance that the Vikings didn't win.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: If they didn't, then either team plays the Eagles.
- 1:15:35Speaker 9: So our parlay this week isn't really money valuable because
- 1:15:38Speaker 9: there aren't that many games. So let's just take a
- 1:15:41Speaker 9: week off.
- 1:15:41Speaker 5: That is true, That is very true.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: We'll put it together and we'll put it on our socials.
- 1:15:45Speaker 9: Yeah, that's a good thought. Let's do that.
- 1:15:47Speaker 5: I won a lot of bets yesterday Big day.
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: Did you guys see Gilly running out with a team.
- 1:15:54Speaker 5: It's incredible and the charge.
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: Wow, I couldn't believe it.
- 1:16:00Speaker 5: It was insane. And he brought his neighbor. He brought
- 1:16:04Speaker 5: the old white dude. Did you see that? Yeah?
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: I know he didn't bring his neighbor. Bro.
- 1:16:12Speaker 5: No, I swear to god, did you see it?
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: I know neighbor is just a pseudonym for another N word.
- 1:16:17Speaker 14: Bro.
- 1:16:18Speaker 5: No, dude. They when he pulled up to the game,
- 1:16:20Speaker 5: they had the car, and he had his small friend
- 1:16:22Speaker 5: and the Eagle outfit, and then they had the old
- 1:16:24Speaker 5: dude with the broom dances.
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: Where is he that in the huge head? Oh my god?
- 1:16:42Speaker 9: Oh, he's so fucking demonstrative.
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: He has a demonstrative brother.
- 1:16:48Speaker 9: He never turns it off either.
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: He's just always he doesn't even know camera's on it.
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: I guess there's a microphone right there.
- 1:16:57Speaker 9: Are they all fans of his?
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: The Eagles?
- 1:17:00Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean that's a j Brown And he fucking
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: went face to face with him and drapped him up.
- 1:17:06Speaker 5: It's so funny, it's cool. I gotta get to that status.
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: Who would you run out the bills?
- 1:17:12Speaker 5: Now? The Patriots? Me and fucking Rabel chest bumping, You're like,
- 1:17:18Speaker 5: I saw it? Oh, that's sick.
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: That one didn't even make it, even though they didn't
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: even tag me on the Barseol Instagram, even though lang
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: Going promised breaks my heart not lang Going, especially after
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: Penn State lost.
- 1:17:34Speaker 5: MHM, sad blowout that was okay and what he talked
- 1:17:38Speaker 5: about blow. I hit all my college football bets too.
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: It wasn't a blow.
- 1:17:42Speaker 5: I had everyone.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: You didn't even have your car.
- 1:17:46Speaker 5: Bro placed my bets before I went to Minnesota.
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: Can't bet up there? No, damn, damn damn. Well, yeah,

- 1:18:14Speaker 1: They caught Church on the radio on the way down
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: to Philly.
- 1:18:17Speaker 5: Oh yeah, how was that?
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: They just broadcast it love a good radio Mass and
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: it's like two hour drive one hour of its church.
- 1:18:25Speaker 5: I wish it was longer sometimes, I know.
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: Give me a little more homily, more homily less. I
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: like just the memorization stuff, make me think, make me
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: more readings, Give me like four readings.
- 1:18:37Speaker 9: Yeah, readings and now reading for the book of Peter.
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: Of Peters, Peters Peters.
- 1:18:44Speaker 9: Once upon a time I was in the Core three.
