Tuesday night in New Bedford turned violent when a knife stabbing and a baseball bat attack erupted on Brock Avenue, sparking a chain of events rooted in a Monday home assault. The victim, who drove themselves to the hospital without a key fob, crashed their car — which was later towed away. A 30-year-old man, Zachary Silva, has been arrested facing serious charges including assault with a dangerous weapon and causing serious bodily injury.
