UK Airbase Security Incident
Five suspects were detained under the Explosives Act following a counter-terrorism operation near RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, an airbase used by US long-range bombers executing Middle East strikes.
Armed police and bomb disposal experts set up a 400-meter safety cordon and deployed remote robots after three suspicious vans were spotted near the perimeter.
Approximately 85 nearby households were evacuated, but authorities confirm the immediate threat is contained as investigators determine a motive.
