Transcript
- 0:05Speaker 1: Hello, friends from across the nation and around the world.
- 0:08Speaker 1: My Martin and you are listening to Dad's Bedtime Stories,
- 0:13Speaker 1: the podcast that takes the listener ideas and turns them
- 0:17Speaker 1: into bedtime stories. Tonight, we're headed back into my Spaceship universe,
- 0:24Speaker 1: and if you've never listened before, it's honestly totally fine,
- 0:27Speaker 1: because all you really need to know is that you're
- 0:30Speaker 1: a kid who has a magic spaceship and it takes
- 0:33Speaker 1: you to different planets and stuff, and it can kind
- 0:35Speaker 1: of do pretty much anything I imagine or you imagine
- 0:38Speaker 1: it can do. So let's check out the idea for
- 0:41Speaker 1: today and get going.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Hello, my name is Silas, and I would like to
- 0:48Speaker 2: suggest a rodeo planet where you aren't actually competing in
- 0:54Speaker 2: a rodeo and all that. You're just trying all the
- 0:58Speaker 2: events and seeing how they are. And there's different jobs
- 1:05Speaker 2: for the event where you can just make the show
- 1:08Speaker 2: for showing all the people at your event. And you
- 1:14Speaker 2: found a guy who can teach all sorts of events.
- 1:18Speaker 2: He teaches you all the events, and then you want
- 1:23Speaker 2: to customize your own event, so you create an event
- 1:29Speaker 2: that's kind of like bull riding, and then you have
- 1:33Speaker 2: to ride the bull, except when you get off the ball,
- 1:36Speaker 2: you have to try to wrestle the bull, and then
- 1:41Speaker 2: you have to get onto your horse, and then you
- 1:43Speaker 2: has to last of the bull. Thank you, I love
- 1:46Speaker 2: your podcast.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Bye well, Silas great idea. I gotta be honest, I
- 1:52Speaker 1: thought it was a bit familiar, so I checked to
- 1:55Speaker 1: see if I've ever done a rodeo planet before, and
- 1:58Speaker 1: the answer is sort of. I did a Cowboy planet
- 2:04Speaker 1: where there was a rodeo that happened on it. And
- 2:07Speaker 1: I don't know if you guys have listened to that
- 2:08Speaker 1: or not, but if you like rodeos, it's another one
- 2:11Speaker 1: to listen to. I guess we'll make this one different
- 2:14Speaker 1: and make it a full out rodeo planet, like a
- 2:16Speaker 1: rodeo only planet or something like that. And I think
- 2:21Speaker 1: the biggest challenge in this story is going to be
- 2:23Speaker 1: that event at the end where you have to wrestle
- 2:26Speaker 1: a bull, because I don't think that's a thing. I
- 2:30Speaker 1: don't think that's a thing anyways that people really do.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Do people wrestle bulls? Can somebody let me know in
- 2:37Speaker 1: the comment somewhere if people actually wrestle bulls. I know
- 2:40Speaker 1: people like stand in front of them, and you know,
- 2:43Speaker 1: try not to get hit by them and stuff, and
- 2:46Speaker 1: you know, wave little pieces of cloth and that sort
- 2:49Speaker 1: of thing. But I've never seen somebody wrestle a bull.
- 2:52Speaker 1: So this is gonna be a fun one to make,
- 2:54Speaker 1: and I'm gonna have to come up with reasons why
- 2:56Speaker 1: that happens, and hopefully I can do that before we begin,
- 3:01Speaker 1: just a big shout out to everyone who's rating and
- 3:03Speaker 1: reviewing the podcast. It really goes a long way. Ratings
- 3:07Speaker 1: and reviews matter a ton on Apple especially, they matter
- 3:12Speaker 1: a lot on Spotify and everywhere else. They kind of
- 3:15Speaker 1: have their own rating systems, and I assume they matter
- 3:17Speaker 1: to some extent. So thank you for writing me those
- 3:20Speaker 1: ratings and reviews. I don't necessarily get to read every
- 3:24Speaker 1: single one because only once for my country kind of
- 3:26Speaker 1: show up for me to read, if that makes any sense.
- 3:29Speaker 1: But I can tell that people have been putting new
- 3:31Speaker 1: ones in, and thank you, thank you, thank you. Also,
- 3:36Speaker 1: I know a lot of you don't like ads, and
- 3:39Speaker 1: that's why I try to make it as affordable as
- 3:42Speaker 1: possible to be able to join Patreon and get the
- 3:44Speaker 1: episodes ad free for as little as one dollar a month,
- 3:48Speaker 1: and you can even pay upfront for the year. Twelve
- 3:50Speaker 1: dollars for an entire year. Honestly, not that expensive in
- 3:54Speaker 1: the scheme of things, I hope. But if you don't
- 3:57Speaker 1: feel like doing that, that's totally fine because ads help too,
- 4:00Speaker 1: just like this possible ad from a possible sponsor. Now
- 4:05Speaker 1: it's time to close your eyes, get as comfy as
- 4:08Speaker 1: you can wherever you are, and imagine yourself doing what
- 4:13Speaker 1: the kid in the story does. You wake up on
- 4:19Speaker 1: spaceship as you usually do. Good morning, sunshine, spaceship says,
- 4:28Speaker 1: good Bordic spaceship. Where are we headed today? That is
- 4:33Speaker 1: an excellent question. I have recently discovered a planet where
- 4:38Speaker 1: the inhabitants enjoy rodeo. You mean, like the cowboy planet
- 4:44Speaker 1: that we've been to before, you ask somewhat. However, this
- 4:50Speaker 1: planet does not focus on being a cow person. Instead,
- 4:56Speaker 1: it focuses almost entirely on Well, I guess that does
- 5:02Speaker 1: sound pretty cool, and well it would give me out
- 5:06Speaker 1: of the spaceship. Set a course, you say, moving up
- 5:11Speaker 1: towards the control panel. I thought you would say that,
- 5:16Speaker 1: spaceship replies as such, I have taken the liberty to
- 5:20Speaker 1: already set a course for the planet. We will be arriving. Now,
- 5:26Speaker 1: the ship stops and you find yourself floating over top
- 5:31Speaker 1: of a beautiful, blue, green, and somewhat dusty looking planet below.
- 5:38Speaker 1: You sit down in the control seat and take a
- 5:40Speaker 1: hold of the controls, pressing forward on the throttle and
- 5:45Speaker 1: aiming straight into the planet. You watch as flames appear
- 5:51Speaker 1: around the ship as you pass through the atmosphere. Then,
- 5:56Speaker 1: as the ship cools off, you dip below the clouds
- 6:01Speaker 1: and sort of even the thing out over top of
- 6:04Speaker 1: the landscape. Looking out the window below, all you see
- 6:10Speaker 1: are fields and fields of crops and free roaming animals,
- 6:16Speaker 1: and a whole bunch of large stadiums that are sort
- 6:22Speaker 1: of well everywhere. Oh what are those huge buildings, you ask?
- 6:30Speaker 1: I believe those are rodeo arenas. Each town seems to
- 6:35Speaker 1: have their own. As I said, rodeo is very popular here. Well,
- 6:44Speaker 1: which one should we head to? That is an excellent question.
- 6:49Speaker 1: When in doubt, I suggest heading to the largest arena
- 6:53Speaker 1: we can find. I believe the largest one is located here.
- 7:00Speaker 1: A map appears on the screen with a little glowing
- 7:03Speaker 1: dot and another dot indicating where you are in relation
- 7:08Speaker 1: to it. You steer the ship slightly to the right
- 7:12Speaker 1: to make sure you're headed towards the dot on the map,
- 7:16Speaker 1: and soon you see the gigantic rodeo stadium in front
- 7:21Speaker 1: of you. It has a big sign above it that
- 7:25Speaker 1: says Rodeo. You're surprised that the sign is written in English,
- 7:30Speaker 1: but you just shrug that off as you land as
- 7:35Speaker 1: close as you possibly can. Very good, Spaceship, says now,
- 7:40Speaker 1: I suggest wearing an appropriate disguise. I have replicated one
- 7:46Speaker 1: for you. A hand well, a large mechanical hand shoots
- 7:52Speaker 1: out of the wall carrying what looks like a Hella
- 7:57Speaker 1: cowboy outfit check an old time he suret a cowboy
- 8:03Speaker 1: hat and those little things that go on the back
- 8:07Speaker 1: of your boots spurs. You quickly take the clothing, put
- 8:13Speaker 1: it on as fast as you can, and look at
- 8:16Speaker 1: yourself in a mirror at the side of the ship.
- 8:20Speaker 1: You look like a real rodeo rider. Very good. Now,
- 8:27Speaker 1: why don't you bring Changer out for a little bit
- 8:30Speaker 1: of fun. Perhaps he would enjoy becoming your horse or bull. Changer,
- 8:38Speaker 1: excited to hear his name, jumps up off of the couch,
- 8:42Speaker 1: walks over to you, and starts to stretch outward. His
- 8:47Speaker 1: body ripples and reforms itself, growing larger and larger into
- 8:54Speaker 1: a large and very fast looking horse, black with white
- 9:02Speaker 1: hair for some reason, and already equipped with a saddle. Somehow.
- 9:08Speaker 1: You've never been sure how Changer makes things like saddles,
- 9:11Speaker 1: but well, if only he could talk. You quickly put
- 9:17Speaker 1: one foot inside the stirrup and lift your body over
- 9:21Speaker 1: top of the horse. You grab a hold of the
- 9:24Speaker 1: reins and give Changer a gentle little nudge. The back
- 9:30Speaker 1: hatch of the spaceship opens up, and you and Changer
- 9:35Speaker 1: trod down and onto the rodeo planet. Just outside the
- 9:40Speaker 1: Gigantic stadium, you see other people riding at top horses
- 9:46Speaker 1: and well even bulls for some reason, and you decide
- 9:51Speaker 1: to follow them. You slowly walk after them as they
- 9:56Speaker 1: enter inside the stadium and move over or awards what
- 10:01Speaker 1: look like registration tables. When you finally get to the
- 10:05Speaker 1: front of the line, the person holding a clipboard and
- 10:09Speaker 1: sitting at the table looks at you. All right, then,
- 10:14Speaker 1: are you here for the Rodeo Experience program? He asks, Uh? Yes,
- 10:23Speaker 1: You answer very good. Well, just to be sure, this
- 10:28Speaker 1: here is a waiver signing. This here waiver here by
- 10:33Speaker 1: declares that you will in no way, hold this rodeo
- 10:37Speaker 1: company responsible for any and all accidents, including and up
- 10:42Speaker 1: to accidents caused by pure negligence on our part. You
- 10:46Speaker 1: also hereby understand that rodeo is dangerous business and can
- 10:51Speaker 1: result in many injuries, up to and including you becoming unlived.
- 10:56Speaker 1: You think for a minute, and then you decide to
- 10:59Speaker 1: sign the After all, you don't even live on this planet,
- 11:03Speaker 1: so it's unlikely that any illegal action would be possible anyways.
- 11:09Speaker 1: All right, then we will hereby present you with your
- 11:12Speaker 1: very own rodeo assistant, who will run you through some
- 11:15Speaker 1: of the different rodeo tasks and events, getting you ready
- 11:20Speaker 1: for the final performance, where you will be able to
- 11:24Speaker 1: construct your very own rodeo event or mix of rodeo
- 11:29Speaker 1: events to attempt to will essentially entertain the audience. The
- 11:36Speaker 1: most entertaining participant will win the trophy. Oh okay, here,
- 11:44Speaker 1: this here is Silas. He will be your rodeo coordinator. Well,
- 11:51Speaker 1: it's nice to meet you. Another guy wearing a cowboy
- 11:55Speaker 1: uniform says he reaches out to shake your hand. You
- 12:00Speaker 1: lean down off of changer your horse and shake his
- 12:07Speaker 1: All right, Well, the first thing we're going to learn
- 12:10Speaker 1: to do is obviously to ride a bucking bronco. Follow me,
- 12:18Speaker 1: You follow Silas over to wards a large arena surrounded
- 12:23Speaker 1: by a fence and lined with dirt. Inside the arena,
- 12:29Speaker 1: you watch as a person attempts to hold on to
- 12:32Speaker 1: a horse that's kind of going crazy, jumping up and down,
- 12:37Speaker 1: kicking its legs backward and doing its best to throw
- 12:41Speaker 1: the rider off. And well it's fully successful. You watch
- 12:48Speaker 1: as one of the other contestants flies up through the
- 12:51Speaker 1: air and lands flat on his back on the ground. Oh,
- 12:57Speaker 1: he says, luckily for you. You've done some rodeo before,
- 13:04Speaker 1: only your memory of it is starting to get a
- 13:07Speaker 1: little bit fuzzy. Spaceship, you say, yes, Spaceship answers through
- 13:15Speaker 1: your watch. Remember how you sometimes download memories into my
- 13:23Speaker 1: head about things like rodeo and stuff. Yes, would you
- 13:29Speaker 1: like me to give you a little refresher on rodeo
- 13:34Speaker 1: techniques and strategies, Spaceship asks, yes, please, initializing Now, a
- 13:43Speaker 1: strange electrical feeling passes through your wrist and directly into
- 13:48Speaker 1: your mind. In an instant, memories start to flood through
- 13:54Speaker 1: your brain. Memories of riding bucking broncos, how to sit,
- 14:00Speaker 1: how to counteract, the movement, and generally how to stay on,
- 14:07Speaker 1: memories of riding bulls, memories of roping different animals with
- 14:13Speaker 1: a last u of sorts, memories of barrel racing, and
- 14:18Speaker 1: all sorts of other race related events. Until the memories stop.
- 14:26Speaker 1: You open your eyes and look at Silas. Ugh, are
- 14:31Speaker 1: you okay there, young one? Silas asks, uh, yeah, I
- 14:37Speaker 1: was just trying to remember how to ride one of
- 14:41Speaker 1: these things. I think I've done it before. Oh so
- 14:46Speaker 1: you're experienced, are you? Well? Then why don't we put
- 14:51Speaker 1: you on one of the craziest horses we have. We
- 14:56Speaker 1: named it Crazy Horse. Oh okay. You climb off of
- 15:03Speaker 1: changer and give them a little pad on the back.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Then you walk over to the horse that Silas called
- 15:11Speaker 1: crazy horse. All right, now, he's safe in this here cage.
- 15:17Speaker 1: What you're gonna do is jump up on top, grab
- 15:20Speaker 1: onto this here rope. Then we'll open the gate and
- 15:24Speaker 1: you have to stay on. Normally you would train you
- 15:28Speaker 1: on one of them mechanical deals. But since you say
- 15:31Speaker 1: you've done this before, man, he's on the waiver that
- 15:34Speaker 1: doesn't know does responsible if something goes wrong here? We're
- 15:38Speaker 1: going to start you off with this thing, all right,
- 15:43Speaker 1: you say, reluctantly. Climbing up over top of the fence.
- 15:48Speaker 1: You swing your leg around the horse, grip the rope
- 15:53Speaker 1: as tightly as you can, and hold on to your
- 15:56Speaker 1: hat with your other hand, almost actively ball right there.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Three to one go. Silas pulls the gate open and
- 16:08Speaker 1: you blast forward atop your horse. And well, they weren't
- 16:14Speaker 1: lying when they said this horse was crazy. It begins
- 16:19Speaker 1: jumping up in the air, spinning around on its front legs,
- 16:23Speaker 1: kicking its back legs up as violently as it can.
- 16:27Speaker 1: But somehow your body knows exactly how to react. You
- 16:33Speaker 1: move with the movement of the horse, and you stay
- 16:37Speaker 1: on as it spins around, jumps around, kicks up, and
- 16:41Speaker 1: eventually just sort of gets tired. Well, then that is
- 16:49Speaker 1: pretty amazing. I don't think even some of the best
- 16:53Speaker 1: riders have stayed on crazy horse. Silas says, now you're
- 16:59Speaker 1: gonna want to jump boff and run over to the
- 17:01Speaker 1: side as quickly as you can. He's looking pretty tired,
- 17:05Speaker 1: but well he might want his revenge or something. You
- 17:11Speaker 1: look down at the horse and then quickly swing your
- 17:14Speaker 1: leg over the side, land on the dirt and run
- 17:18Speaker 1: for the edge. You quickly leap over the fence and
- 17:21Speaker 1: look back at the horse, who's still just standing there.
- 17:26Speaker 1: All right, Well, since you can, you know, take on
- 17:31Speaker 1: the crazy horse, I say we move on to a bull.
- 17:37Speaker 1: You walk over to an area off to the right.
- 17:41Speaker 1: It leads into the same general arena, but this one
- 17:46Speaker 1: is full of a whole bunch of different, very mean
- 17:50Speaker 1: looking bulls. The idea hears the same. And since you
- 17:55Speaker 1: were okay on that there, Bronco, I don't think you'll
- 17:58Speaker 1: have any trouble here. Just swing your leg over the
- 18:02Speaker 1: side and hold on for dear laugh. You're feeling a
- 18:07Speaker 1: lot more confident now after surviving crazy Horse, so you
- 18:12Speaker 1: immediately climb up over the fence, jump on top of
- 18:16Speaker 1: the bull, and slide your hand under the rope. You
- 18:21Speaker 1: grab your hat with your other hand and nod that
- 18:24Speaker 1: you're ready again. Silas pulls the gate open, and the
- 18:30Speaker 1: bull rushes forward as if it's angry. For some reason
- 18:34Speaker 1: nobody can explain. It starts running around the arena in circles,
- 18:40Speaker 1: spinning around on its front legs, and just generally jumping
- 18:44Speaker 1: up and down, doing its very best to whip you
- 18:48Speaker 1: off of the top. You react, as you did with
- 18:53Speaker 1: the other one, moving with the bull, holding on as
- 18:57Speaker 1: tight as you can, and pretty soon a buzzer rings.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Good job you made it, Silas says, Uh, the bull
- 19:07Speaker 1: doesn't seem to be getting tired, you yelled back, Oh, no,
- 19:12Speaker 1: bulls can do this forever. You're gonna want to jump
- 19:16Speaker 1: off nice and calmly and run over to the side,
- 19:21Speaker 1: he explains. You try to time your jump the best
- 19:26Speaker 1: you can. The next time the bull bucks up, you
- 19:30Speaker 1: let go of the rope and fly over to the side.
- 19:34Speaker 1: You land on the ground, run for the side of
- 19:37Speaker 1: the arena, and hop back over top of it. All right, well,
- 19:43Speaker 1: I guess we can move on to some of the
- 19:45Speaker 1: other events. We haven't gotten to this part too often lately.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Well what do you mean you haven't gotten to this
- 19:53Speaker 1: part too often lately? You ask? Oh, well, we kind
- 19:58Speaker 1: of start with the broncos in the bulls because most
- 20:01Speaker 1: people end up getting injured and then we don't have
- 20:04Speaker 1: to do anything else. To be honest with you, but
- 20:07Speaker 1: you somehow survived, so well here we go. Next up,
- 20:13Speaker 1: I guess is barrel racing. You can bring your own
- 20:17Speaker 1: horse for this one if you want to. You move
- 20:20Speaker 1: over and grab a hold of changers reins you pull
- 20:24Speaker 1: it over to the next arena, where there's a whole
- 20:27Speaker 1: bunch of barrels set up in a little formation. All right, Well,
- 20:33Speaker 1: generally your idea here is to race around the barrels,
- 20:38Speaker 1: turn as tightly as you can, and kind of move
- 20:42Speaker 1: from one to the other. Here, I'll show you how
- 20:46Speaker 1: it's done. Silas climbs on top of another horse. Then
- 20:52Speaker 1: he gives the horse a little kick, and it races
- 20:55Speaker 1: towards one of the barrels. He turns it tightly in
- 20:59Speaker 1: a sort of figure eight pattern, and rushes back towards
- 21:03Speaker 1: another barrel, where he again turns it incredibly tightly and
- 21:08Speaker 1: continues this pattern back and forth through the arena. Then
- 21:14Speaker 1: he rides back over to you. Well, see that's sort
- 21:18Speaker 1: of how it's done. Well, let's see if you can
- 21:22Speaker 1: beat my time. Changer looks over to you and sort
- 21:27Speaker 1: of winks as if beating this guy's time is going
- 21:31Speaker 1: to be no problem at all. You put your foot
- 21:34Speaker 1: in the stirrup, climb back on top of your trusty horse,
- 21:39Speaker 1: and wait until Silas gives you the go ahead. Three two,
- 21:45Speaker 1: one go, he says. You kick Changer and begin rushing
- 21:51Speaker 1: towards the barrel's changer does most of the work this time.
- 21:56Speaker 1: You just try to hang on for dear life as
- 21:59Speaker 1: he races around the barrel straight towards the other one
- 22:04Speaker 1: at a speed that would impress a cheetah. You finish
- 22:09Speaker 1: the barrel race and walk back up to Silas, who
- 22:12Speaker 1: clicks the stop watch and stares at you in amazement.
- 22:17Speaker 1: That was that was amazing, he says, I've never seen
- 22:23Speaker 1: a horse move that fast. Cool. You say, huh, what's next?
- 22:31Speaker 2: Ugh?
- 22:31Speaker 1: Right, well, I guess next we should probably learn to
- 22:35Speaker 1: use a lass. So he hands you a rope tight
- 22:40Speaker 1: in a perfect glass suit. All right, so to use
- 22:45Speaker 1: one of these, what you're gonna need to do is well,
- 22:49Speaker 1: he continues to talk. You swing the rope around over
- 22:52Speaker 1: your head and throw it out towards a poll with
- 22:57Speaker 1: the lands directly on it, and you pull it tight. Oh,
- 23:02Speaker 1: I see you've already done this before, too. Well, then, huh,
- 23:07Speaker 1: let's try it from atop the horse. We got some
- 23:10Speaker 1: sheep we're gonna let loose. What you have to do
- 23:14Speaker 1: is rope the sheep, get off the horse, and tie
- 23:17Speaker 1: the sheep up on the ground. All right, let's give
- 23:21Speaker 1: it a try. You ride into the arena besides, Silas
- 23:27Speaker 1: with your last sue in hand, a buzzer rings, a
- 23:31Speaker 1: door opens, and several little sheep run in, spinning around
- 23:36Speaker 1: you very quickly. You set your sights on one of them,
- 23:41Speaker 1: lift the rope up, begin to twirl it around, and
- 23:45Speaker 1: at what feels like just the right moment, you throw
- 23:49Speaker 1: the rope and release. The little hoop slides over towards
- 23:54Speaker 1: the sheep, lands around its neck, and you pull it tight.
- 24:00Speaker 1: The sheep falls to the ground. As you dismount the horse,
- 24:04Speaker 1: run over beside it and tie up its feet, as
- 24:08Speaker 1: you learn to do inside your memories, Silas does the
- 24:12Speaker 1: same to another sheep, and then moves back over towards you. Well,
- 24:19Speaker 1: it looks like you're pretty good at this. Thanks. Uh,
- 24:24Speaker 1: what's next? You ask? Well, I guess the last event
- 24:30Speaker 1: is bull wrestling? Bull wrestling? You answer? Is that actually
- 24:38Speaker 1: a thing? Well, of course it's a thing. Who wouldn't
- 24:42Speaker 1: want to see a grown person wrestle a bull to
- 24:45Speaker 1: the ground? Is it dangerous? You ask for the bull
- 24:52Speaker 1: or for the human wrestling it? Silas asks for the human.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Oh yeah, very dangerous. For the human, bulls got nothing
- 25:04Speaker 1: to worry about, But you could very well become unaliveed.
- 25:11Speaker 1: And you guys, let random people who come in here
- 25:14Speaker 1: to learn about Rodeo just sort of wrestle bulls to
- 25:18Speaker 1: the ground. We sure do that, Waiver theres iron clad
- 25:23Speaker 1: and well. To be fair, we make our money from
- 25:27Speaker 1: the people watching, not the people learning. He points up
- 25:31Speaker 1: to the stands where you see a whole bunch of
- 25:33Speaker 1: people eating popcorn and watching what's going on here? You
- 25:40Speaker 1: move over to the side. Spaceship, you say to your watch, Yes,
- 25:46Speaker 1: spaceship answers, do you have any memories of people uh
- 25:52Speaker 1: fighting bulls? No, Spaceship answers, I do not recommend fighting
- 26:00Speaker 1: a bull. Bulls are very dangerous creatures. It is better
- 26:04Speaker 1: to run away or evade the bull entirely. Yeah, I
- 26:10Speaker 1: get that, But this guy wants me to wrestle one.
- 26:14Speaker 1: How am I supposed to do that? You ask, excellent question.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Perhaps we could enhance your physical attributes? You can what
- 26:28Speaker 1: we can enhance your physical attributes, giving you a higher
- 26:33Speaker 1: level of strength, endurance, and speed. You can do that,
- 26:40Speaker 1: you say, of course, we can use the transmorphizer, the
- 26:45Speaker 1: same device built into your watch that allows you to
- 26:49Speaker 1: transform into different creatures. I will have it modify your
- 26:54Speaker 1: human DNA to make your muscles denser and far more
- 26:59Speaker 1: power powerful. I will also enhance your brain to move
- 27:04Speaker 1: faster and increase your reaction time. Oh okay, initializing a
- 27:13Speaker 1: strange tingling sensation passes through your body, only unlike normal,
- 27:20Speaker 1: Your shape doesn't change. Your muscles just sort of feel
- 27:24Speaker 1: like they suddenly tighten in place. Your eyes start to
- 27:30Speaker 1: move faster, and your mind starts to work well more
- 27:36Speaker 1: efficiently than ever. How does that feel, spaceship asks, I
- 27:43Speaker 1: feel a powerful You say excellent. Now be careful not
- 27:51Speaker 1: to become unalived. Ugh, who are you talking to over there?
- 27:57Speaker 1: Silas says, it's your turn the ring. The goal here
- 28:02Speaker 1: is to wrestle the bull to the ground. If you
- 28:06Speaker 1: can throw them down on his sad, you win. You
- 28:12Speaker 1: enter through a gate in the ring. Silas closes it
- 28:16Speaker 1: behind you, and another door opens on the other end.
- 28:22Speaker 1: A large and very angry looking bull stares at you.
- 28:28Speaker 1: It pushes its front hoof against the ground, then it
- 28:33Speaker 1: runs directly at you. Something in your mind clicks into place,
- 28:40Speaker 1: and your reaction time suddenly speeds up, making the world
- 28:46Speaker 1: seem as if it's slowing down around you. You watch
- 28:51Speaker 1: every step the bull makes and well pretty much slow motion.
- 28:58Speaker 1: As it approaches you instinctively and quickly step to the side.
- 29:04Speaker 1: You reach up and grab its one horn with your
- 29:07Speaker 1: left hand and its other horn with your right. You
- 29:12Speaker 1: pull one arm in and push the other one straight
- 29:15Speaker 1: up in the air, forcing the bull to turn its
- 29:19Speaker 1: neck to the side and causing it to flop over
- 29:23Speaker 1: onto its side. Oh, you actually did it, Silas says,
- 29:30Speaker 1: Now you're probably gonna want to get out of there.
- 29:33Speaker 1: You look around and then begin to run. Before the
- 29:36Speaker 1: bull can make its way to its feet again, you
- 29:40Speaker 1: hop over the side and watch as it climbs to
- 29:43Speaker 1: its feet and starts to run around rather angrily. Well,
- 29:49Speaker 1: I guess you pass the class as we promised. You
- 29:54Speaker 1: now have the chance to make up your own event,
- 29:59Speaker 1: maybe combine and some of the skills you've learned into
- 30:02Speaker 1: something that will be rather entertaining for the guests. Huh,
- 30:09Speaker 1: I wonder what that would be. Well, I don't know,
- 30:13Speaker 1: you could like ride the bull and then hop off
- 30:17Speaker 1: and wrestle it to the ground and then I don't know,
- 30:21Speaker 1: like jump on a horse and last suet or something
- 30:24Speaker 1: like that. Huh, Okay, you say, I was just joking,
- 30:31Speaker 1: Silas says, but all right, I guess we can do that.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Silas moves over and starts to confer with others, setting
- 30:43Speaker 1: up the entire arrangement. Then they move you over towards
- 30:48Speaker 1: a bull. All right, well, I guess you'll start on
- 30:53Speaker 1: this here bull and ride it till you get thrown
- 30:57Speaker 1: off or jump off or whatever. Then you'll have to
- 31:01Speaker 1: wrestle it to the ground, after which time you can
- 31:05Speaker 1: run over to your horse, re enter the arena and
- 31:09Speaker 1: try to take it down with a lastsu kid, You've
- 31:13Speaker 1: done pretty well today, and I just want to say that,
- 31:16Speaker 1: as much as I am not liable, if you do
- 31:21Speaker 1: end up, you know, not making it here, I hope
- 31:26Speaker 1: you don't, or I hope you do make it, is
- 31:29Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Thanks, you say as you climb onto
- 31:36Speaker 1: the bull and slide your hand underneath the rope. But
- 31:41Speaker 1: with your increased strength and all the memories about rodeo,
- 31:44Speaker 1: it really shouldn't be an issue. A buzzer rings and
- 31:49Speaker 1: the door opens up. The bull speeds out with you
- 31:54Speaker 1: a top. It runs around in circles, it jumps up
- 31:57Speaker 1: and down and does its to throw you off. Unfortunately
- 32:03Speaker 1: for it, you're not going anywhere the buzzer rings to
- 32:08Speaker 1: indicate that you've made it through the time limit. So
- 32:12Speaker 1: you hop up on your feet on top of the
- 32:15Speaker 1: bull's back as it continues to buck around, and on
- 32:19Speaker 1: the next buck you launch yourself up into the air.
- 32:24Speaker 1: You perform a perfect front flip with a little twist
- 32:27Speaker 1: at the end, and land on the ground, staring the
- 32:31Speaker 1: bull down. The bull, upset about you riding it or whatever,
- 32:38Speaker 1: begins to run straight towards you again. Your new sense
- 32:43Speaker 1: of perception kicks in its movements slow. You step to
- 32:48Speaker 1: the side, grab its horns, twist them, and well guide
- 32:53Speaker 1: it over onto its side. With the bull down, you
- 32:58Speaker 1: run to the side of the arena. You jump over
- 33:01Speaker 1: the fence and climb on your trusted horse, Changer. The
- 33:07Speaker 1: doors open once again, allowing you and Changer to run
- 33:11Speaker 1: forward and circle around the bull. The bull gets up
- 33:16Speaker 1: off of the ground, looking rather well annoyed about all
- 33:22Speaker 1: of this. You grab the rope attached to his saddle,
- 33:26Speaker 1: begin spinning it around in a circle and wait for
- 33:30Speaker 1: the bull to charge towards You change your steps to
- 33:34Speaker 1: the side. As you release the rope, it hooks around
- 33:37Speaker 1: the bull and you pull it tight. You jump off
- 33:42Speaker 1: of the horse and move closer and closer to the bull,
- 33:46Speaker 1: who has now been roped by your last sue. Though
- 33:51Speaker 1: nothing about that really makes the situation safe. It's jumping
- 33:56Speaker 1: up and down and doing its best to get free.
- 34:00Speaker 1: It charges towards you, and again you step to the
- 34:03Speaker 1: side and redirect its horns, causing it to fall down
- 34:07Speaker 1: on the ground. You roll over top of the bull
- 34:11Speaker 1: and quickly wrap the last so around both of its
- 34:13Speaker 1: legs before standing up and looking at the crowd. The
- 34:19Speaker 1: crowd cheers, stands up and begins to clap and shout. Well,
- 34:27Speaker 1: I can't believe you actually did that. That was one
- 34:31Speaker 1: of the most ridiculous things I've ever suggested. Oh good job, kid,
- 34:36Speaker 1: Silas says, slapping you on the back. Thanks, you respond,
- 34:42Speaker 1: Silas hands you a giant trophy. As you climb back
- 34:47Speaker 1: a top changer. You hold the trophy in the air
- 34:51Speaker 1: and the crowd cheers once again. Then you give changer
- 34:56Speaker 1: a little nudge in the side and you try out
- 35:00Speaker 1: of the arena, back outside and straight into the spaceship. Well,
- 35:08Speaker 1: how was it, spaceship asks as you climb off of
- 35:12Speaker 1: the horse, and the horse transforms back into a tiny
- 35:16Speaker 1: little earth puppy that quickly jumps up onto the couch.
- 35:20Speaker 1: It was kind of weird, you say. Interesting. I suggest
- 35:27Speaker 1: we now undo the physical changes I have made, Otherwise
- 35:32Speaker 1: they could cause complications. Ah fine, you say. Another strange
- 35:39Speaker 1: tingling sensation passes through your body, and your muscles sort
- 35:44Speaker 1: of release. When the tingling stops, you feel weaker than before,
- 35:51Speaker 1: and well rather tired. I think I'm gonna go to bed,
- 35:58Speaker 1: you say. When you head out towards the door to
- 36:02Speaker 1: your bedroom, it opens automatically and you climb into your bed.
- 36:09Speaker 1: You pull the covers up to your chin, and the
- 36:12Speaker 1: lights dim automatically. You listen to the hum of the
- 36:18Speaker 1: ship as it lifts up off the planet and blasts
- 36:23Speaker 1: out into space once again. With each breath, your muscles
- 36:31Speaker 1: relax more and more and more. You release the tension
- 36:39Speaker 1: in your arms, your legs, your shoulders, your neck, and
- 36:46Speaker 1: slowly you drift off to thoughts of new dreams, new adventures,
- 36:55Speaker 1: and new rodeos to come. Good night, everyone in New York, more.
- 41:48Speaker 3: Union, no mom thing, no.
- 44:27Speaker 1: Mo in New York, Long.
- 48:55Speaker 3: Union, m
