- 0:45Speaker 2: a day. Well, you and I both came from Newark.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Right to I came from Kennedy. Oh you did, Oh
- 0:52Speaker 1: beckew Delta.
- 0:53Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 0:54Speaker 2: So we both came from New York today. Oh my god.
- 0:58Speaker 3: So it's a long day.
- 0:59Speaker 2: It's a but how unbelievably gorgeous is it here?
- 1:02Speaker 1: Oh my god, I've never been in weather. Just the weather.
- 1:07Speaker 1: It is so beautiful. Napa is gorgeous.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Just don't take a taxi.
- 1:11Speaker 2: I got off, I get out of the airport and
- 1:13Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, I'm just going to take a taxi.
- 1:14Speaker 2: I was like, a taxi, you didn't take an uber?
- 1:16Speaker 2: I was like, no, I'm I live in New York,
- 1:19Speaker 2: Like we take taxis literally four hundred dollars later, so
- 1:22Speaker 2: don't do that.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Much or was not that much less, but also we
- 1:26Speaker 1: just don't take the uber. Listen, thank you, iHeart.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Okay, Kelly, So I we are going to jump right
- 1:35Speaker 1: in because I feel like the I Do listeners have
- 1:38Speaker 1: been on this journey with you and having to do
- 1:42Speaker 1: with your dating life. Yes, so let me just give you,
- 1:46Speaker 1: guys first, a little bit of the backstory. So, Kelly,
- 1:51Speaker 1: you when was it back a little ways? You played
- 1:56Speaker 1: the dating game? Yes, our friend Kelly here is single
- 1:59Speaker 1: and ready to mingle. And you played the dating game
- 2:04Speaker 1: on I Do Part two with three different men. Yes,
- 2:08Speaker 1: and you chose one from the Golden Bachelor. Correct, you chose.
- 2:14Speaker 2: They already have Three of the guys on the dating
- 2:18Speaker 2: game were from the Golden Bachelor.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Okay, okay, and I chose one of them. Okay, So
- 2:24Speaker 1: you chose one of them.
- 2:25Speaker 2: I chose him because he can make salmon at a
- 2:29Speaker 2: certain temperature.
- 2:29Speaker 1: All right, apparably really like salmon. Or so you gotta
- 2:32Speaker 1: think for sam. I like, but I.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Also like men that cook. Okay, Kelly, I can make food.
- 2:39Speaker 2: I can make food, but I don't I don't like to.
- 2:41Speaker 1: There was something about the I don't like to cue on.
- 2:43Speaker 3: I love when a man makes me food.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Okay, But it didn't work out. His his proficiency in
- 2:48Speaker 1: salmon cooking was not enough because.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Well it wasn't enough because then he started texting me
- 2:54Speaker 2: these telendovellas about what he's doing, how kind of pocket
- 2:59Speaker 2: square he's wearing. I'm like, have you met me before
- 3:02Speaker 2: you read?
- 3:03Speaker 1: Right?
- 3:05Speaker 3: My name is Kelly, how are you nice to see you?
- 3:07Speaker 1: Where are you from? Right?
- 3:09Speaker 2: And he jumped he jumped in and was just like,
- 3:12Speaker 2: I'm going to be a superstar.
- 3:14Speaker 3: And this was happening, and then.
- 3:16Speaker 1: I'm going to be a superstar like he was.
- 3:18Speaker 2: He was going to be a he was going to
- 3:20Speaker 2: be on some television show. I was like, that's great.
- 3:22Speaker 2: I thought you were a doctor. That kind of turned
- 3:24Speaker 2: me off. And so then it was so wild because
- 3:30Speaker 2: I'm like, all of a sudden, like he's texting me
- 3:34Speaker 2: and he's like, I have I can't go to I
- 3:37Speaker 2: can't come meet you at iHeart because I'm meeting this
- 3:40Speaker 2: girl and this is her name, and I'm like okay,
- 3:44Speaker 2: and I said, did I miss something? That was my Yeah,
- 3:49Speaker 2: I didn't say I literally just read it and I said,
- 3:51Speaker 2: did I miss something? And then he went into a
- 3:53Speaker 2: whole other thing about why he couldn't go on the
- 3:56Speaker 2: date with me or whatever, why we couldn't walk the carpet.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 3:59Speaker 2: And I got to walk the carpet with Gary, and
- 4:02Speaker 2: that's where you and I became yes.
- 4:04Speaker 1: But hold on a second, hold on. So Gary was
- 4:07Speaker 1: Bachelor number whatever two three. I was gonna pick Gary,
- 4:10Speaker 1: but you didn't Gary. I wanted to pick Gary. I
- 4:13Speaker 1: really really want Gary's also from the Golden Bachelor.
- 4:16Speaker 3: He is also from the Golden Battery. Also can cook
- 4:18Speaker 3: very well.
- 4:19Speaker 2: But the salmon really got me.
- 4:21Speaker 1: That was something about this, I have to be honest
- 4:23Speaker 1: with you. I listened to that episode, as I do
- 4:27Speaker 1: listen to all of I DO Part two episodes, and
- 4:30Speaker 1: I'm like listening to it and it was so I'm sorry, Kelly,
- 4:34Speaker 1: but like I was like, this is no, no, no,
- 4:37Speaker 1: no no. It was so awkward. My kids get so
- 4:40Speaker 1: pissed when.
- 4:41Speaker 3: I do that.
- 4:42Speaker 1: It was so kind of cringe no, I mean you
- 4:45Speaker 1: didn't feel like that.
- 4:47Speaker 3: You know, I was having so much fun.
- 4:48Speaker 2: And I think one thing that's been really great about
- 4:50Speaker 2: being on I Do Part two is that I started
- 4:56Speaker 2: with therapy, and then every single time that we would film.
- 5:02Speaker 3: And be on the podcast and in the pod, I
- 5:04Speaker 3: was applying what I was learning.
- 5:05Speaker 1: I love that.
- 5:06Speaker 2: And so not only was I learning new you know,
- 5:11Speaker 2: a new not not a narrative people like it's not
- 5:14Speaker 2: a narrative, I was learning how to apply my new
- 5:18Speaker 2: tools with my in my tool belt for times when
- 5:21Speaker 2: I needed it. I was also learning when things were
- 5:23Speaker 2: triggering me from my past, like you know, you know,
- 5:27Speaker 2: you and I have talked about this before about you know,
- 5:29Speaker 2: being wildly insecure and you know, having you know, men
- 5:32Speaker 2: not be exactly like not choosing good men, like you know,
- 5:37Speaker 2: being around men that were not not really good for me.
- 5:40Speaker 2: And so I've made this concerted effort to really open,
- 5:45Speaker 2: be more open, be more vulnerable, and be more respectful
- 5:48Speaker 2: of myself.
- 5:50Speaker 3: So I was like salmon for the wind right.
- 5:53Speaker 1: But I'm saying, even with all of that, when I
- 5:55Speaker 1: thought of these because what you're saying is you are
- 5:59Speaker 1: more open, and you were more open because when I
- 6:01Speaker 1: listened to it, what I thought was none of these
- 6:04Speaker 1: three guys are for Kelly, absolutely not. And hel you're
- 6:09Speaker 1: a cool cat, and not that these I'm not trying
- 6:12Speaker 1: to say that these guys are not cool, but different
- 6:15Speaker 1: there they felt if.
- 6:17Speaker 3: You're making.
- 6:21Speaker 1: They are such nice guys. Listen, I'm not married to
- 6:23Speaker 1: a cool cat. Let's get real. My husband, Jeff Fesler
- 6:25Speaker 1: is there's nothing cool about him. Amazing, I agree, but
- 6:29Speaker 1: he's not cool. These guys, I don't know. I just
- 6:31Speaker 1: didn't see.
- 6:32Speaker 2: That's he is cool because you can take him anywhere
- 6:34Speaker 2: and he is like very very easy.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Again, these three guys anywhere too. But I'm saying, like
- 6:39Speaker 1: even their responses they were just a little cringe. I
- 6:42Speaker 1: feel like they were a little come on, you know
- 6:44Speaker 1: what I'm saying. But you yes, I think that it's
- 6:47Speaker 1: great that you were open and you were like, doesn't matter.
- 6:50Speaker 1: He likes salmon. I like salmon. This could work.
- 6:52Speaker 2: But you know what that I think Jen two, is
- 6:54Speaker 2: that that was That's one of the things that I
- 6:56Speaker 2: think is really important when you are dating, is that
- 7:00Speaker 2: not to date the person that you want, but to
- 7:03Speaker 2: start dating and be in the pool because you never
- 7:07Speaker 2: know who you're gonna meet.
- 7:08Speaker 1: And also, Kelly, you don't know.
- 7:11Speaker 3: That you know how that you know? It's like you
- 7:12Speaker 3: did there.
- 7:13Speaker 2: I was like, oh my god, you could get a
- 7:14Speaker 2: kiss a couple of maion frogs and you meet the prince.
- 7:17Speaker 2: But some many times you don't know that the prince
- 7:20Speaker 2: is the frog. You don't know that, Kelly, and all.
- 7:23Speaker 1: You know by the way you're on nd but you're
- 7:26Speaker 1: not in it.
- 7:27Speaker 2: You're gonna get I mean what I'm gonna sit in
- 7:29Speaker 2: I sit at home my dating that being like this
- 7:33Speaker 2: guy's hot, this guy's not.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Yes, listen to it, like physically engage with the smart
- 7:40Speaker 1: one because I was like, oh god, none of these
- 7:42Speaker 1: three kids, there's something wrong with them. But I'm just saying,
- 7:45Speaker 1: like none of these guys are for Kelly as I
- 7:47Speaker 1: was listening to it. But the truth is you're right,
- 7:49Speaker 1: and it's like great advice.
- 7:50Speaker 3: It's that you have to be in it.
- 7:52Speaker 1: You have to and write, you have to give it
- 7:55Speaker 1: some you have to like I used to say this,
- 7:58Speaker 1: you know how woman.
- 7:58Speaker 3: To you know what?
- 7:59Speaker 2: You know? It's like there's it's been interesting too because
- 8:02Speaker 2: I that one one person said to me, dating is
- 8:05Speaker 2: like a job.
- 8:05Speaker 3: And you have to treat it like a job.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Yes, you know how like you're like and you go
- 8:09Speaker 2: to the gym and your hair is boned now and
- 8:10Speaker 2: you're ready to go and you're on your phone, calls
- 8:12Speaker 2: you your mo.
- 8:12Speaker 3: You have to do the same thing the day. I
- 8:14Speaker 3: want to be like dressed. You have to be ready
- 8:16Speaker 3: to do. You have to be well rested, you have
- 8:18Speaker 3: to have you have to like be so interesting.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Yes, going out to meet a guy if it were
- 8:24Speaker 1: me right now and I was single, even when I
- 8:25Speaker 1: was single in my twenties, I I, oh, I had
- 8:28Speaker 1: dates all the time because I always said yes, didn't
- 8:31Speaker 1: matter like if they were whatever it was because it
- 8:34Speaker 1: was just a drink or it was just ID never
- 8:36Speaker 1: made dinner dates and.
- 8:38Speaker 2: More often than not very easy going.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Right right, But I would be a very.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Woman nally you can like you can talk to like
- 8:47Speaker 2: wet paint. I mean, you are like very very I
- 8:51Speaker 2: I am very I'm I'm a very outgoing person, but
- 8:55Speaker 2: I'm also wildly insecure. So I present as outgoing, but
- 9:00Speaker 2: I am super super very very reserved and like like
- 9:04Speaker 2: literally like.
- 9:16Speaker 1: You opened yourself up though to these three guys that
- 9:18Speaker 1: I found completely cringe guys, I don't mean it like that.
- 9:25Speaker 1: I just mean a little bit. Yeah I do. But
- 9:28Speaker 1: but but if I if you're my best friend, I'm
- 9:31Speaker 1: telling you it doesn't matter. Kelly, pick one and let's
- 9:36Speaker 1: play it out. Let's see what happens. That's what they
- 9:38Speaker 1: were just on. You know what they were. They were
- 9:39Speaker 1: holding microphones in their hair. They were being recorded and
- 9:42Speaker 1: maybe they were awkward, but you did and you right.
- 9:46Speaker 3: So I did not see them.
- 9:47Speaker 2: So it was like the dating game, so I had
- 9:48Speaker 2: no idea, not so I couldn't make a judgment based
- 9:51Speaker 2: on physical I love.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Yes, you're right, I'm wrong you. I'm glad of you.
- 9:56Speaker 3: No, you're not wrong.
- 9:57Speaker 1: They were, but like you did the right thing. I'm
- 10:00Speaker 1: glad that you picked when you went out, or you
- 10:01Speaker 1: didn't go out with him. He turns out that he
- 10:03Speaker 1: was cringey. And then you moved on to Gary, who
- 10:06Speaker 1: was very sweet, and you took two the iHeart Music Awards.
- 10:10Speaker 1: And I know, but it didn't obviously I don't. There's
- 10:13Speaker 1: there's no ring on your finger, or it's not going
- 10:15Speaker 1: to be. It doesn't sound like it was. But it
- 10:17Speaker 1: was so far I ever a date, but yes, and
- 10:20Speaker 1: it made me feel really good. Okay.
- 10:22Speaker 2: And so after we left that night and I got
- 10:25Speaker 2: to meet you, and I was in a really good
- 10:26Speaker 2: mood and I had a lot of fun. And then
- 10:29Speaker 2: when I left and went back to New York, I
- 10:31Speaker 2: felt really good about myself. And that's the other thing
- 10:34Speaker 2: that's good about going out a lot of going on
- 10:36Speaker 2: a lot of different dates, is that because you you
- 10:39Speaker 2: don't know, you don't even know who these people are.
- 10:41Speaker 2: One guy said to me something that was really interesting.
- 10:43Speaker 2: He said, let's just go on a date, because the
- 10:46Speaker 2: worst thing that could happen is we could be really
- 10:48Speaker 2: good friends.
- 10:48Speaker 1: That's every that's I used to preach that. I'm just saying,
- 10:53Speaker 1: like maybe if there's not a connection, like maybe you
- 10:56Speaker 1: know someone, maybe I know someone, Right, that's how people
- 10:59Speaker 1: should look at day, Like it's just Pete, we're just
- 11:02Speaker 1: two people.
- 11:02Speaker 2: And I have done that before. I have gone in
- 11:04Speaker 2: to day and I'm thinking to myself, this guy's not
- 11:06Speaker 2: good for me. I'm gonna introduce him to my friend.
- 11:08Speaker 2: I've done that many times.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Yes, Okay, so Gary, I don't I don't know why
- 11:12Speaker 1: he wasn't for you, but let's just I'm gonna s
- 11:14Speaker 1: so we love Gary we love Gary, but it wasn't
- 11:16Speaker 1: a love connection. No, okay, but I love It's amazing.
- 11:19Speaker 1: And then you got a d M from Let's take
- 11:23Speaker 1: it from here, Yes, so tell us about that.
- 11:25Speaker 2: So I had no idea who this was, and I
- 11:27Speaker 2: get a lot of dms.
- 11:29Speaker 1: I do.
- 11:29Speaker 2: I'm not going to sit here and bullshit you guys.
- 11:32Speaker 2: I get a lot of d ms of people. Sometimes
- 11:34Speaker 2: they're for real, sometimes they're not. And so he was like,
- 11:37Speaker 2: I'm from Chicago, and like, no one ever comes off
- 11:41Speaker 2: and is like I'm from Chicago. I was like, wait,
- 11:42Speaker 2: I'm sorry, what.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Do you lot Why that's so unusual because I'm from Rockford.
- 11:47Speaker 3: So it's like, it's like that's close proximity.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Okay.
- 11:50Speaker 3: It's like if someone says.
- 11:52Speaker 2: That I don't know, like Texas, yeah, Texas right there,
- 11:56Speaker 2: they're from you near your hometown or like but they
- 11:59Speaker 2: they went to college with you in Boston or something,
- 12:01Speaker 2: you know what I mean. They were like, it's just
- 12:03Speaker 2: you know, just it just I never meet people that
- 12:06Speaker 2: are in my circle, and so it's nice to know
- 12:11Speaker 2: that there's someone there who kind of understands and that
- 12:15Speaker 2: has a baseline understanding, so we don't have to be like, oh,
- 12:19Speaker 2: you know.
- 12:19Speaker 3: What's you know?
- 12:20Speaker 2: You know, what do you guys?
- 12:22Speaker 3: What do you guys eat?
- 12:23Speaker 2: In Illinois?
- 12:23Speaker 3: People people always ask me. I'm like, what do you mean.
- 12:25Speaker 2: When we eat like cheese? Obviously right joking, but people
- 12:31Speaker 2: ask me that all the time. So what do they
- 12:32Speaker 2: eat there? I'm like, food?
- 12:34Speaker 1: Like I never thought it to ask anyone from Chicago that.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Because you're a sophisticated woman, I'm talking about I'm talking
- 12:40Speaker 2: about guys.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Oh, we have to talk about Pascal, right, so we're
- 12:46Speaker 1: gonna What was interesting is that when he was saying
- 12:49Speaker 1: all those things is that he was talking about things
- 12:53Speaker 1: that made me feel comfortable.
- 12:54Speaker 3: He's talking about.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Illinois and he was like, oh, I'm a hairdresser, you
- 12:57Speaker 2: have beautiful hair.
- 12:58Speaker 3: He was talking.
- 12:59Speaker 2: I mean, I know that sounds weird, but I mean
- 13:01Speaker 2: it was also very nice.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Too nice.
- 13:04Speaker 2: And you know, he was on this show and he
- 13:06Speaker 2: knew both Guy and Gary, who I I didn't. I
- 13:10Speaker 2: don't know Guy, but I mean I did have some
- 13:14Speaker 2: I did read some of his texts, and then you know,
- 13:18Speaker 2: I obviously spent some time with Gary, who was so
- 13:20Speaker 2: lovely and so did you and so yeah, so there
- 13:25Speaker 2: were there was like a common denominated right.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Right, So he slid in I really hate that expression.
- 13:31Speaker 1: He slid in to your d MS and said, I'm
- 13:35Speaker 1: from Chicago. Great, So now you guys made the connection.
- 13:38Speaker 1: And so I didn't know who he was because you
- 13:41Speaker 1: didn't watch the Golden Bachelor, right right with Bachelrette.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Right, and I've watched The Bachelor for a thousand rights,
- 13:47Speaker 2: but that I hadn't watched the Golden Bachelor, okay, And
- 13:49Speaker 2: so I didn't know who he was, and you were
- 13:54Speaker 2: open as you were. He told me he was on
- 13:56Speaker 2: it and he was mentioning these people. So again like
- 13:59Speaker 2: there was like a was.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Like, so he wanted so he said, let's meet. And
- 14:03Speaker 1: then what you said, you called the producer said okay,
- 14:06Speaker 1: so here's this guy. Let's let's set it up. And
- 14:09Speaker 1: they said, why don't you guys meet?
- 14:10Speaker 2: I just was like, what is going on here? Is
- 14:12Speaker 2: this going to be like guy number two? Is he
- 14:15Speaker 2: just you just want to meet me because he you know,
- 14:17Speaker 2: like I'm on Housewives and he was on the Bachelor,
- 14:20Speaker 2: and he wants to like you know, you never you
- 14:22Speaker 2: don't know like I was talking about, you know, I
- 14:24Speaker 2: was just saying that like when I would go on dates.
- 14:27Speaker 2: I would think that people were like, oh, I want
- 14:29Speaker 2: to I want to date her because she's wild and crazy.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Because people would call me crazy. I'm from Scary Island.
- 14:34Speaker 2: I'm not I'm the least crazy person. I'm like so grounded,
- 14:38Speaker 2: it's ridiculous. But they thought and then they were bored.
- 14:40Speaker 2: They're like, Oh, she's just really not crazy.
- 14:43Speaker 3: She just eats cheese.
- 14:44Speaker 2: I'm just joking. She wants to want to sammy each cheese.
- 14:49Speaker 2: But you know, that was one of those those are
- 14:52Speaker 2: the things that were happening. So to meet someone that
- 14:54Speaker 2: was you know, common, you know, the common denominator sounded
- 14:58Speaker 2: like really interesting and and I was.
- 15:00Speaker 3: Like, oh, maybe he's great. Right, So then.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Now here we are, now here we are now about
- 15:06Speaker 1: the producer said, let's do it in Napa, right.
- 15:08Speaker 2: So we had we talked over we were on a
- 15:11Speaker 2: podcast together, okay, and we spoke.
- 15:14Speaker 1: I actually know that I listened to and he was
- 15:17Speaker 1: very charming. He is very charming, very very charming.
- 15:20Speaker 2: I mean I was not answering the questions correctly. He
- 15:24Speaker 2: was like they were like if you could go, and
- 15:25Speaker 2: and if you could go. Bob was like, if you
- 15:27Speaker 2: could go, you know, on date with Kelly, where would
- 15:29Speaker 2: you take her? And he said this very very nice,
- 15:33Speaker 2: this really nice date. And I was like, oh, I
- 15:35Speaker 2: would take you to Gibson's and show you my Playboy cover.
- 15:38Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 15:39Speaker 3: I mean I was making total jerk.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Well obviously not too much of a jerk because he
- 15:43Speaker 1: showed up NAPA, right.
- 15:45Speaker 3: I mean, I was just like, you know what, like
- 15:47Speaker 3: if it's hard.
- 15:48Speaker 1: That's a hard scenario when you're being asked these questions.
- 15:50Speaker 1: I mean you asked those guys like if you were
- 15:53Speaker 1: a rooster and I was a chicken, what would be
- 15:55Speaker 1: your cockadile? I would have died? Like like I was like.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Okay, but I was infusing the tools on my toolbout
- 16:01Speaker 2: because I'm spposed to be opening vulnerable and here I
- 16:03Speaker 2: was talking about my Playboy colver and like how you
- 16:05Speaker 2: should like look at it.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Sorry, I'm a Kelly fan, so I'm going to say
- 16:09Speaker 1: that that's there's nothing wrong with that. Sorry. So now
- 16:22Speaker 1: you guys get to NAPA. You meet for the first time, Yes,
- 16:25Speaker 1: right off the bat, what was your first impression?
- 16:28Speaker 3: Very attractive, very attractive, very fit.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Yes. By the way, guys, if you don't know Pascal
- 16:35Speaker 1: is French.
- 16:36Speaker 3: He is from Paris.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Yes, he's from Paris.
- 16:38Speaker 4: He owns multiple salons in Chicago. Correct, and yes he's
- 16:45Speaker 4: a big businessman. Your husband ex husmand is French. Excuse me,
- 16:48Speaker 4: you were raising Illinois. Clue, there's a common thread common threads,
- 16:52Speaker 4: I should say. So you meet him, first impression, good
- 16:55Speaker 4: looking fit.
- 16:57Speaker 3: Right, okay, good looking infit?
- 16:58Speaker 2: And I met him and I was, I mean, I
- 17:02Speaker 2: met him this morning and I was in a bikini.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Literally, so that is the way to go.
- 17:07Speaker 2: I saw you and then I saw him. I was like,
- 17:09Speaker 2: I mean, seeing today in a bikini, it's been great.
- 17:11Speaker 1: If I were Kelly Bensman, I would definitely meet a
- 17:14Speaker 1: first date in a bikini. That'd be a smart move.
- 17:17Speaker 1: So just so you guys did, whether or not it
- 17:22Speaker 1: was the intention, it worked. So now we go.
- 17:24Speaker 3: We go all swad weird. She was on too and
- 17:26Speaker 3: a big robe.
- 17:27Speaker 2: I don't think you saw that for it.
- 17:28Speaker 1: So we all so you saw him in your bikini
- 17:31Speaker 1: and then what then we all got into the sprinter van. Yes, okay,
- 17:35Speaker 1: So now you guys are chit chatting in the sprinter van. Yes,
- 17:37Speaker 1: we're all kind of chit chatting. Yes, we get to
- 17:39Speaker 1: the concert. You guys, we were not all sitting together,
- 17:43Speaker 1: So just tell me a little bit about what your
- 17:47Speaker 1: thoughts are. How'd you see?
- 17:48Speaker 2: So Deanna and I we know each other from another podcast,
- 17:51Speaker 2: and we we we hit.
- 17:52Speaker 3: It off really really well.
- 17:53Speaker 2: She was on She's a Beautiful, Beautiful Girl from Bachelor Nation.
- 17:58Speaker 2: She was on The Bachelor and the Bachelorette, And so
- 18:01Speaker 2: we were the three of us were sitting together. You
- 18:03Speaker 2: were off getting photos with like this rock star that
- 18:07Speaker 2: rock star, country music stars, and I was sitting with
- 18:11Speaker 2: him and he was very, very very nice. But then
- 18:14Speaker 2: he would get up and disappear and then come back.
- 18:17Speaker 2: And you know, when you're on a date, like I'm
- 18:20Speaker 2: not expecting you to like kiss my feet, but when
- 18:22Speaker 2: you're on a date with me, or I suppose date,
- 18:25Speaker 2: or you know, even if you're just meeting me, I
- 18:29Speaker 2: expect to see some kind of genuine interests.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:33Speaker 2: And it wasn't like he was joined the French thing,
- 18:36Speaker 2: which is like disinterested. He was just like kind of distant.
- 18:40Speaker 2: And he was also like asking me questions instead of
- 18:44Speaker 2: being like, hey, you know, listen, you don't you know
- 18:47Speaker 2: who you're gonna meet? Do you know what I mean, like,
- 18:50Speaker 2: and who knows, Maybe I would, maybe I was open
- 18:52Speaker 2: to it, but because he was kind of weird with me,
- 18:56Speaker 2: it made me uncomfortable and just like I hung out
- 18:59Speaker 2: with the end of the whole time.
- 19:00Speaker 1: So this is the beautiful thing. Guys. If you're listening
- 19:03Speaker 1: and you're single, about dating is like you're here to
- 19:06Speaker 1: tell the story.
- 19:07Speaker 3: You're either in it or or not.
- 19:09Speaker 2: And you know, who knows. Again, we talked about about
- 19:13Speaker 2: kissing frogs. You don't know who the prince is or
- 19:15Speaker 2: the princess is if you don't try. And you know,
- 19:21Speaker 2: how do you know that I'm interested or not interested?
- 19:26Speaker 1: You think that he was intimidated, and then I don't know.
- 19:29Speaker 3: I don't think he was intimidated.
- 19:30Speaker 2: I think that he was trying to figure out what's
- 19:33Speaker 2: going on and what's happening. And you know, I think
- 19:38Speaker 2: that you have to take every we talked about this before.
- 19:40Speaker 2: You have to take every opportunity, Like if you see
- 19:42Speaker 2: a hot girl on the subway, Hello, here's my here's
- 19:46Speaker 2: my number. I want to talk to you. Whatever you
- 19:48Speaker 2: have to take, you have to take the initiative because
- 19:50Speaker 2: it's the time that moment's going to go. So if
- 19:53Speaker 2: you don't like say like, hey, I would love to
- 19:55Speaker 2: do X, Y or Z or whatever.
- 19:59Speaker 3: You know, how am I sp to know?
- 20:01Speaker 1: Wow, I'm very interested to hear his take.
- 20:04Speaker 3: Yes, because me too.
- 20:06Speaker 1: It's hard for me to picture a scenario where he
- 20:08Speaker 1: was not very interested in you, But I guess we'll
- 20:11Speaker 1: find out. But yeah, listen, So okay, so right now
- 20:16Speaker 1: before we bring I'm gonna talk to Pascal and then
- 20:18Speaker 1: talk to both of you. But you feel like he
- 20:20Speaker 1: just wasn't present present and okay that's a perfect word.
- 20:25Speaker 3: Not present. So that was a turnoff, wildly turned off.
- 20:28Speaker 2: Whereas like Gary was like we were walking down the
- 20:33Speaker 2: red carpet at i Hurt Radio with every famous musician
- 20:39Speaker 2: and you getting photos with all those famous musicians.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Yeah I know, I know.
- 20:45Speaker 3: And he was the most charming, lovely human.
- 20:47Speaker 2: He was like, are you okay? Is everything all right?
- 20:49Speaker 1: Well, Pascal did mention to me that he does think
- 20:51Speaker 1: that Gary has a very big thing for you, So
- 20:54Speaker 1: I don't know if that has anything to do with this.
- 20:56Speaker 1: I will ask him. Nobody did say that, but you
- 20:58Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, Yes, say what you're saying.
- 21:00Speaker 3: I think that a man, you know what a man
- 21:03Speaker 3: likes you.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, well, I'm going to know because sometimes.
- 21:08Speaker 2: And sometimes sometimes you know, because they do the opposite,
- 21:11Speaker 2: Like they'll be mean to you, or they'll say you
- 21:14Speaker 2: know what I mean, you know, they'll like poke you,
- 21:16Speaker 2: or you think you.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Could have liked him though there was potential for it.
- 21:20Speaker 1: You know.
- 21:21Speaker 2: I was on the podcast with him and then I
- 21:24Speaker 2: met him today, and I think he's a really, really,
- 21:27Speaker 2: really incredible person. Do I think he's the right person
- 21:30Speaker 2: for me. I don't think so. And you know, one
- 21:32Speaker 2: of the reasons that he's not is because, to be
- 21:35Speaker 2: honest with you, is because he's French. Like I already,
- 21:38Speaker 2: you're married a Frenchman. I already know what that's about.
- 21:42Speaker 2: And by the way, and I love French culture and
- 21:45Speaker 2: I love frenchmen, but I don't want to be married
- 21:47Speaker 2: to another Frenchman.
- 21:48Speaker 3: Fair enough, I just don't.
- 21:49Speaker 2: I'll speak French all day long with you, we can
- 21:51Speaker 2: be pen pals, we can talk on the phone. I
- 21:53Speaker 2: just do not want to be married to another french Man.
- 21:56Speaker 2: I want a family for my family. I want a
- 21:59Speaker 2: real man who loves my kids. Because they didn't have
- 22:04Speaker 2: that family's environment. They only had me as their parent.
- 22:08Speaker 2: And I want a man who's nurturing and loving not
- 22:11Speaker 2: only to me but also to our.
- 22:14Speaker 1: If you were at Pascal say in the episode you
- 22:16Speaker 1: Guys did together that he really doesn't not interested in
- 22:21Speaker 1: any small kids, which is okay. He has been a father,
- 22:25Speaker 1: he does not want to be a father again. And
- 22:28Speaker 1: so I don't know if that struck you at all.
- 22:31Speaker 1: It did, But when I was listening, I was like, well,
- 22:34Speaker 1: even if your kids are of a certain age, there're
- 22:36Speaker 1: still you know, you want somebody that wants they.
- 22:39Speaker 3: Still needs to be They're still in that process.
- 22:41Speaker 2: I mean, they're still going, there's still meeting men, there's
- 22:43Speaker 2: still you know, navigating their their work, their work life.
- 22:47Speaker 3: They're navigating you know, their new future.
- 22:49Speaker 2: And they're going to have be having children. And I
- 22:52Speaker 2: definitely want to be one thousand percent a part of
- 22:55Speaker 2: every part of it.
- 22:56Speaker 3: Yes, So that's just super important to me.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Yeah, that is really.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Family is paramount to my happiness.
- 23:04Speaker 1: I think it is to his too. But but whatever,
- 23:07Speaker 1: there's a disconnect here, all right.
- 23:09Speaker 2: But like I mean, like family together all the time,
- 23:11Speaker 2: but I stand together all the time. Yes, And I
- 23:13Speaker 2: don't care how all the old the kids are. My
- 23:15Speaker 2: ex had younger children like I don't. I'm not worried
- 23:18Speaker 2: about having about being around younger children.
- 23:21Speaker 3: I just want a family for my family.
- 23:23Speaker 1: I love that. It's the greatest expression. Do you make
- 23:25Speaker 1: that up?
- 23:26Speaker 2: Yes?
- 23:26Speaker 1: I love it. All right, we're gonna bring pastcalon and
- 23:29Speaker 1: then we're gonna bring it together.
- 23:31Speaker 3: Worsmith, You didn't know you are.
- 23:32Speaker 1: A wordsmith amongst other things, amongst many, many, many other talents.
- 23:37Speaker 3: No, but it's important, you know, you have to.
- 23:39Speaker 2: I think that's the other thing that I learned from
- 23:41Speaker 2: this whole entire process. There's two things that I've learned.
- 23:44Speaker 2: One is to be vulnerable but also protective. There's a
- 23:49Speaker 2: there's a there's a very very very fine line of
- 23:52Speaker 2: being vulnerable where you're not protecting yourself. That is not
- 23:56Speaker 2: what I want. So I want to I want to
- 23:58Speaker 2: be open and available to this new life that I
- 24:01Speaker 2: have in this new life partner. But I also want
- 24:03Speaker 2: to make sure that I'm protecting myself because I never
- 24:05Speaker 2: did that before. So that's really important. And then having
- 24:09Speaker 2: a family for my family has been always what I've
- 24:12Speaker 2: wanted for my entire life.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Well, it's coming to enjoy the time there, enjoy the
- 24:19Speaker 1: time that you're having right now being single. It's not
- 24:21Speaker 1: going to last forever. I can promise you that. And
- 24:24Speaker 1: now you're out of here because I want to to Pascal.
- 24:26Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 24:27Speaker 1: All right you guys wasn't present?
- 24:30Speaker 3: Why were you not?
- 24:31Speaker 1: Were you not present?
- 24:33Speaker 3: All right, girl?
- 24:34Speaker 2: Thank you, I love you.
