Transcript
- 0:01SPEAKER_00: If you felt lonely, isolated, disconnected, with an empty feeling inside and just yearning for more, knowing something is missing, then this podcast is for you.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: So here's your host, Joe Mittigan.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: Have you ever felt like your life was beginning to move in a direction you never imagined?
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: And even though parts of you feel excited about what might be ahead, another part of you feels afraid.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: Afraid because you don't really know where you're going.
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: Afraid maybe because the life you've always known is beginning to change.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: And maybe, maybe you're afraid because for the first time in your life, you're beginning to realize that your higher power may have much greater purpose for you than you ever really imagined.
- 1:10SPEAKER_01: If you've gone through any of that, trust me, folks, I know exactly how you're feeling.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: For much of my life, I thought I knew what success was supposed to look like.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: I thought I knew what I wanted.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: What would make me happy and what kind of life I was supposed to build.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: But something began to change as I started healing emotionally and growing spiritually.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: The things I once believed would make me happy weren't as important anymore.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: The things I once chased didn't seem to have the same meaning.
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: And slowly I began to feel something inside of me that I'd never really experienced before.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: A calling.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: Not necessarily a voice telling me exactly what to do, but a deep feeling within me that my life was meant for something more.
- 2:09SPEAKER_01: And that feeling was both exciting and frightening because I was beginning to understand something that changed the way I looked at my entire life.
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: Discovering my purpose was one thing.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: Having the courage to follow it was something completely different.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: I had spent so many years trying to control my life, trying to figure everything out, and trying to make sure things happened the way I thought they should happen.
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: But what if the life my higher power created me to live was different from the life I had spent so many years trying to create for myself?
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: What if following my true calling meant letting go of the person I thought I was supposed to become?
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: And what if the fear I was experiencing wasn't a sign that I was going in the wrong direction?
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: What if it was simply part of learning to trust?
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: Because I'm beginning to realize that faith doesn't mean knowing exactly where my life is going.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: Sometimes faith taking the next step even when I can't see the entire path.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: And maybe that's where the real freedom begins.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: When I stop asking my higher power to help me live the life I've always planned.
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: And I begin asking my higher power to guide me towards the life I was created to live.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: Today we're going to explore why following our true calling can feel so exciting and so uncomfortable at the same time.
- 3:54SPEAKER_01: We're going to talk about the emotional fears that keep us attached to our old lives, the courage it takes to trust something grander than ourselves, and how emotional healing can prepare us to become the person we were always meant to be.
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: Because maybe the greatest adventure in our life begins when we finally find the courage to stop controlling where we're going and start trusting who we're becoming.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: And as we each discover the courage to follow our own calling, perhaps we'll begin to see how our individual journeys can become part of something much grander than ourselves.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: A world where we stop living for me and begin discovering what we can create together as we.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: My name is Joe Mittigga, and this is We.
- 4:51SPEAKER_01: Welcome everybody.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: Welcome to the We Podcast.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: It's a great night here in Atlanta, Georgia.
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: Fall is here, it's beautiful weather.
- 4:59SPEAKER_01: You know, we go through amazing springs and falls, long, you know, three and four months each season.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: And it's just one of my favorite times of the year.
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: I love the cooler weather.
- 5:10SPEAKER_01: I'm a summer guy for sure.
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: I enjoy some snow.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: I grew up in northern Indiana where snow was six months a year, it seemed like, not really, but literally it felt like it.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: But here in the southeast, we have really long seasons of cool mornings, sunny afternoons, and the colors of the trees changing is just absolutely fantastic.
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: It's a fun time, I have to say.
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: Had a lot of great challenges that I've kind of walked through.
- 5:40SPEAKER_01: I've shared some of them along the way and have made it on the other side of numerous challenges.
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: I'm still in the quest of my four and five hours of sacred silence a day.
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: And I'm encouraging everybody to take their time, you know, start at five minutes, move up to 10, and just start practicing that practice.
- 6:01SPEAKER_01: It's a spiritual practice.
- 6:03SPEAKER_01: And for the new people, what I'm talking about is I want everybody to learn, you know, people say, well, how do I follow a higher power, Joe?
- 6:11SPEAKER_01: How do I know?
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: Where is it?
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: Where do I get to it?
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: How do I do the it?
- 6:15SPEAKER_01: Well, one technique is to, in silence, observe the voices in your head, but then listen for a more quiet voice, a softer voice, an all-inclusive voice.
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: And the more you can hear that all-inclusive voice, the more you're going to identify it as a power greater than yourself.
- 6:36SPEAKER_01: And this particular episode is about learning how to continue to follow a higher power, follow a different guidance system.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: I'm going to continue to talk about over the last several podcasts, we've talked about the development of our guidance system, the internal mechanism, the internal mannerisms on how we make a decision on a Tuesday morning.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: And I'll go through that in a little bit.
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: And today is about where I learned how to follow my heart and what it led me to, what growth it had me do, what the results were.
- 7:11SPEAKER_01: And it's kind of a it's a cool story, but it's a brutal one too.
- 7:16SPEAKER_01: It's hard to share, but I'm going to in the best depth I can, intimately as I can, towards the end of the podcast.
- 7:23SPEAKER_01: So hang around for that story.
- 7:25SPEAKER_01: A lot of you are going to relate to it, I can promise you that.
- 7:27SPEAKER_01: So welcome to people from the Netherlands and Mexico.
- 7:33SPEAKER_01: I am just honored that you're here.
- 7:35SPEAKER_01: It just continues to humble me that the We podcast continues to explode around the planet.
- 7:42SPEAKER_01: It's a constant representation of the overall message of we is that humanity is growing, humanity is changing, humanity is shifting.
- 7:52SPEAKER_01: We are shifting from a male-dominated energy to a female-dominated energy.
- 7:57SPEAKER_01: And that male-dominated energy is not gender specific.
- 8:02SPEAKER_01: It's our male-dominated energy, the mind and the body.
- 8:06SPEAKER_01: And the female side of ourselves, man or woman, red or black, green or freaking orange.
- 8:12SPEAKER_01: I don't care if you're Christian or Muslim.
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: It has nothing to do with your humanity.
- 8:17SPEAKER_01: It has everything to do with the feminine side of yourself, is where your emotions and your spiritual communion reside in the human being.
- 8:26SPEAKER_01: And the world for millennia has been dominated by the male side of self.
- 8:33SPEAKER_01: And it's a fantastic thing.
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: It worked, got us to here.
- 8:36SPEAKER_01: You know, the male side of self, the intellect got us to the moon, you know, got us to the deepest parts of the ocean, created medicine.
- 8:44SPEAKER_01: I mean, you go on and on and on of the amazing accomplishments of the brain.
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: This is not about that.
- 8:51SPEAKER_01: I love it.
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: I think the brain is a great thing.
- 8:54SPEAKER_01: I think the mental aspect of self is a powerful, needed tool.
- 8:59SPEAKER_01: And it can't be the only tool anymore.
- 9:02SPEAKER_01: It can't.
- 9:03SPEAKER_01: It can't be the only guidance system anymore.
- 9:06SPEAKER_01: It can't.
- 9:06SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 9:07SPEAKER_01: Because we're waking up.
- 9:08SPEAKER_01: And there's a feminine side of you that is coming through you, whether you want it to or not.
- 9:13SPEAKER_01: And how do I know?
- 9:14SPEAKER_01: Because you're here.
- 9:15SPEAKER_01: You're on this podcast right here.
- 9:16SPEAKER_01: And how do I know humanity's waking up?
- 9:19SPEAKER_01: Because now in high rankings, the Wii Podcast is in 15 countries around the planet.
- 9:25SPEAKER_01: I don't even know how many countries the Wii Podcast is in that, you know, several thousand people are listening.
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: So it's a reflection of my higher power is talking to yours, and your higher power is here.
- 9:39SPEAKER_01: My higher power is talking, your higher power is listening.
- 9:43SPEAKER_01: We're being guided to connect with each other.
- 9:45SPEAKER_01: We're two or more are gathered.
- 9:47SPEAKER_01: God is there.
- 9:48SPEAKER_01: And it's in the communion between me and you, each one of you, each listener out there, each person who's a part of the We podcast.
- 9:56SPEAKER_01: We're doing this together.
- 9:58SPEAKER_01: And I literally say that this podcast is not about a man.
- 10:02SPEAKER_01: My message, the man in the microphone, which I'm going to talk about later, is only possible because of all of you.
- 10:10SPEAKER_01: And I am humbled.
- 10:11SPEAKER_01: I don't even know what to say.
- 10:12SPEAKER_01: Words can't describe it, literally.
- 10:15SPEAKER_01: And I will just continue to say thank you.
- 10:19SPEAKER_01: And thank you for being here.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: Thank you for coming back.
- 10:22SPEAKER_01: And thank you for telling people because all of you are helping this thing grow.
- 10:27SPEAKER_01: And the goal of helping a hundred million people on a monthly basis remember that their answers are inside themselves.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: Help people remember their own truth, not teach anything, remember.
- 10:40SPEAKER_01: And the remembering process is happening.
- 10:43SPEAKER_01: I just hope to be able to have a voice to where, as it's happening for you, you're going to hear things here, you're probably not going to hear other places.
- 10:52SPEAKER_01: You're going to hear things here that are all about my experience, strength, and hope in the past 30 years, 40 years now being on a conscious path.
- 11:02SPEAKER_01: And really, my desire for each of you is to take what works for you and leave the rest.
- 11:10SPEAKER_01: I'm not here to tell anybody what to believe, how to believe, anything, nothing.
- 11:14SPEAKER_01: I'm telling you what worked for me.
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: I give you the how-tos, my how-to's.
- 11:19SPEAKER_01: And I can tell you from where I started to where I am, it works.
- 11:23SPEAKER_01: It really does.
- 11:25SPEAKER_01: And how the end result will live in your world, I don't know.
- 11:29SPEAKER_01: I look forward to you telling me when you see me on stage.
- 11:32SPEAKER_01: I've been guided.
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: My sacred silence restarted August the 5th.
- 11:38SPEAKER_01: I started doing a which is the day my German Shepherd, Zeus, was passed away.
- 11:44SPEAKER_01: And I kind of started a couple days before that, but basically I use his transition as the start date of my sacred silence.
- 11:51SPEAKER_01: And in my world, I've got the capacities and I've got the ability.
- 11:55SPEAKER_01: You know, I'm a single dad, pretty successful business.
- 11:58SPEAKER_01: I homeschooled my boys.
- 11:59SPEAKER_01: My oldest now is in college.
- 12:01SPEAKER_01: So I've got the time and I'm blessed to have the income flow to where I can take five and six hours a day to do it.
- 12:09SPEAKER_01: And I understand most can't be there.
- 12:11SPEAKER_01: I do.
- 12:12SPEAKER_01: And that's why I say, you know, do five to ten minutes.
- 12:16SPEAKER_01: It's the same thing, it's the same powerful experience.
- 12:19SPEAKER_01: Because the end result is that taking your silence, and silence doesn't mean no motion.
- 12:25SPEAKER_01: Silence means no external stimulus.
- 12:29SPEAKER_01: And in your silence, you're going to be guided.
- 12:33SPEAKER_01: You're going to hear a smaller voice, a quieter voice.
- 12:38SPEAKER_01: As you learn how to follow that quieter voice, you will be amazed at where that voice will take you.
- 12:43SPEAKER_01: We're going to talk about that more in depth here in a little bit and why it's so powerful.
- 12:49SPEAKER_01: And, you know, I like to recap just a little bit each episode because we've got tens and thousands of new people.
- 12:57SPEAKER_01: There's going to be tens of thousands of people that this is going to be their very first episode.
- 13:01SPEAKER_01: And I welcome all of you.
- 13:03SPEAKER_01: And the we podcast, basically, my whole concept of the we, we as you and me together, we create a community, the we community.
- 13:14SPEAKER_01: The we as the individual aspect of self is each human being.
- 13:19SPEAKER_01: You are a spirit, folks, having a human experience, not a human having a spiritual experience.
- 13:25SPEAKER_01: Let me repeat that.
- 13:27SPEAKER_01: You are a spiritual being having a human experience.
- 13:32SPEAKER_01: And in that spiritual being perspective, from that sense of self, we are multidimensional.
- 13:39SPEAKER_01: The we, when it comes to the individual, is human self, higher self, inner self, which I call the inner child.
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: And it's in the communion of the we that we grow, we shift, we heal.
- 13:53SPEAKER_01: And as we grow and shift and heal, we become a grander us, human transformation of consciousness, literally.
- 14:01SPEAKER_01: And as we transform consciousness into the new you, there's different guidance systems that are going to help you decide your Tuesday morning decisions.
- 14:10SPEAKER_01: Do they just are?
- 14:11SPEAKER_01: And those guidance systems are what we've been talking about over this past four or five weeks, three or four weeks.
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: You know, the first one is completely unconscious, which I did an entire episode on that.
- 14:23SPEAKER_01: Then we go from completely unconscious to conscious.
- 14:25SPEAKER_01: And what's the difference?
- 14:26SPEAKER_01: An unconscious person does not know they can hear their thoughts.
- 14:30SPEAKER_01: They don't know.
- 14:31SPEAKER_01: When you're sitting in church, look around the room, 70 to 80 to 90 percent of the people in the church or at the school or at the ball and wherever you are, at the grocery store, 70, 80, 90 percent of the people around you in humanity do not know they can hear their own thoughts.
- 14:47SPEAKER_01: They're unconscious.
- 14:48SPEAKER_01: Good or bad?
- 14:49SPEAKER_01: No, it's just where they are.
- 14:50SPEAKER_01: Not a bad thing, just the truth.
- 14:52SPEAKER_01: The We podcast, though, is here to honor those of us who can hear our thoughts.
- 14:58SPEAKER_01: And that's all of you.
- 14:59SPEAKER_01: You couldn't be on a podcast like this if you didn't know what I'm talking about there.
- 15:02SPEAKER_01: You can hear your thoughts.
- 15:03SPEAKER_01: I always ask, when was the first conscious thought you had?
- 15:07SPEAKER_01: Mine was in the late eight eight, not 1800s.
- 15:11SPEAKER_01: I'm not that old.
- 15:11SPEAKER_01: I'm not 1800s, the late 1980s and early 1990s for sure.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: And why do I want you to come out?
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: And when did you have your first conscious thought?
- 15:20SPEAKER_01: The day you had your first conscious thought is the day you started your spiritual path.
- 15:26SPEAKER_01: Hear what I just said, folks.
- 15:29SPEAKER_01: The day you had your first conscious thought is the day you started your spiritual path.
- 15:36SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 15:37SPEAKER_01: Because what is our purpose in life?
- 15:41SPEAKER_01: Each human being's true purpose is to become the grandest them they can become.
- 15:49SPEAKER_01: How?
- 15:49SPEAKER_01: Through spiritual growth.
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: Well, how does spiritual growth happen?
- 15:52SPEAKER_01: Through emotional healing.
- 15:54SPEAKER_01: That's what Joe did.
- 15:55SPEAKER_01: I emotionally healed and remembered spiritually.
- 15:58SPEAKER_01: I emotionally went deeper to heal my inner pain.
- 16:02SPEAKER_01: The consequence of healing the depths of myself, I started remembering a grander me.
- 16:09SPEAKER_01: In the beginning, I called that grander me great spirit, then it went to spirit, and then it went to whatever.
- 16:16SPEAKER_01: And now I classified as divinity, my divinity.
- 16:21SPEAKER_01: And all of us have that divine part in us right now.
- 16:26SPEAKER_01: And we're going to talk about it.
- 16:27SPEAKER_01: We're going to talk about how do you get guided with that?
- 16:30SPEAKER_01: Well, the sacred silence, listening to that smaller voice, that I say smaller, I'm saying softer voice.
- 16:37SPEAKER_01: That's your higher power talking to you.
- 16:38SPEAKER_01: It really is.
- 16:40SPEAKER_01: Learning to listen, totally different.
- 16:42SPEAKER_01: Learning to follow is completely different.
- 16:45SPEAKER_01: We have to realize it's there, though, to begin with.
- 16:48SPEAKER_01: That first awakening.
- 16:50SPEAKER_01: And your first time you had a conscious thought, the reason I want you to remember when it was is because I want you to put the time frame on it.
- 16:59SPEAKER_01: I want you to start identifying yourself as a human being that's been on a spiritual path from that first day.
- 17:07SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 17:08SPEAKER_01: Because if you identify your spiritual path based on external results and external successes and external highs, no, that isn't what it is.
- 17:19SPEAKER_01: Because that's all part of the human experience.
- 17:21SPEAKER_01: That's not a reflection of your spiritual path.
- 17:24SPEAKER_01: You can literally be completely in communion with a power greater than yourself and have to bankrupt your business.
- 17:31SPEAKER_01: You can be in complete communion with a power greater than yourself, or you can be on a spiritual path and still be drinking and drugging every day of your life.
- 17:39SPEAKER_01: You can.
- 18:25SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 18:26SPEAKER_01: Because when you really realize how long you've been on a spiritual path, you start identifying yourself as a person that's been on a spiritual path for a decade, two decades, four decades.
- 18:36SPEAKER_01: And the more you do that, the more you start seeing you different.
- 18:41SPEAKER_01: And that's the whole idea of building your self-esteem, building your the way you see yourself.
- 18:47SPEAKER_01: A great way to start is to identify how long you've been on a path.
- 18:51SPEAKER_01: Now, does your spiritual path have anything to do with your external world?
- 18:55SPEAKER_01: No.
- 18:56SPEAKER_01: Does your purpose have anything to do with your external world?
- 18:58SPEAKER_01: No.
- 18:59SPEAKER_01: Living your purpose has everything to do with producing out in the external world.
- 19:06SPEAKER_01: The living of it, not the creating of it.
- 19:09SPEAKER_01: And those are the differences that really, and they're very different things.
- 19:12SPEAKER_01: They are.
- 19:14SPEAKER_01: In the series, I'm kind of been doing right from unconscious to conscious.
- 19:19SPEAKER_01: And then when we become conscious and we start realizing how many glass-empty voices we have in our head, all the wound-based, shame-based, guilt-based voices in our head, and we learn the technique of writing those voices down so we can start hearing some glass full voices, all encouraging voices to guide us.
- 19:37SPEAKER_01: That was what the episode I did last week on Thursday.
- 19:41SPEAKER_01: Well, after you'd reach the point to where you really can kind of sense the difference between a glass full voice and a glass empty voice, and the glass empty voice is based in wound, period.
- 19:53SPEAKER_01: How do you heal the glass empty voices?
- 19:56SPEAKER_01: Do affirmations heal them?
- 19:57SPEAKER_01: No.
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: Does meditation heal them?
- 19:59SPEAKER_01: No.
- 20:00SPEAKER_01: Does affirmations and meditations help you in any given moment?
- 20:04SPEAKER_01: Sure it does.
- 20:06SPEAKER_01: Does it heal anything?
- 20:07SPEAKER_01: No.
- 20:08SPEAKER_01: How do I know?
- 20:09SPEAKER_01: Because if it did, you wouldn't be on this podcast, first off.
- 20:13SPEAKER_01: And if it did, you wouldn't have to do it for the second time.
- 20:16SPEAKER_01: Period.
- 20:18SPEAKER_01: Meditation and positive affirmations are not designed to heal.
- 20:22SPEAKER_01: They're not.
- 20:22SPEAKER_01: They're designed to calm and create the now moment that you're in the positive affirmation conversation or the meditative state experience.
- 20:32SPEAKER_01: They're designed to calm that now moment.
- 20:36SPEAKER_01: The next Tuesday morning, it doesn't do anything.
- 20:38SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 20:39SPEAKER_01: Because you didn't heal the reason you have the glass empty voices.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: 100% of every glass empty voice that you want to do a positive affirmation on, the reason it's there is a hurt little kid inside.
- 20:50SPEAKER_01: The dual hand journaling, which I talk a lot about in my book, please go to joemitica.com and download the book.
- 20:58SPEAKER_01: And before I go any further, I owe deep amends.
- 21:01SPEAKER_01: I have been telling the people that have been doing my website, I want it free.
- 21:09SPEAKER_01: Well, their definition of free is give me your email first.
- 21:12SPEAKER_01: And then when I found out that it was still there, I was freaking livid.
- 21:17SPEAKER_01: And I genuinely apologize.
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: Free means zero condition for Joe.
- 21:25SPEAKER_01: Now, if you want to be on my email list and get a lot of cool freaking stuff, sign up.
- 21:30SPEAKER_01: Great.
- 21:32SPEAKER_01: But I am not asking for your email address to get my book.
- 21:36SPEAKER_01: They will have it fixed.
- 21:37SPEAKER_01: Please visit again and accept my deep apologies.
- 21:40SPEAKER_01: I have been here's the problem.
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: Here's the literal problem.
- 21:44SPEAKER_01: I'm dealing with some people that are absolute icons.
- 21:48SPEAKER_01: And they've done it one way.
- 21:50SPEAKER_01: I don't care.
- 21:52SPEAKER_01: That isn't the way it's happening.
- 21:54SPEAKER_01: I get to make the decision because it's my book and it's my domain name, and I want all of you to have it.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: For free.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: And why am I so passionate about it?
- 22:02SPEAKER_01: Because it's not mine.
- 22:04SPEAKER_01: God channeled that book through me 30 years ago, literally 30 years ago.
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: So go download it if you want it.
- 22:13SPEAKER_01: I'm telling you, everybody listening here, you will like it because you couldn't be here and not be on the same type of path.
- 22:20SPEAKER_01: And you'll hear me literally describe step by step in a hundred and some odd thousand words what I do on these podcasts all the time.
- 22:29SPEAKER_01: And you want to be on my email list to get cool stuff?
- 22:32SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 22:32SPEAKER_01: You want to be on the email list to get, you know, firsthand knowledge of the new books?
- 22:37SPEAKER_01: Great.
- 22:38SPEAKER_01: Sign up.
- 22:39SPEAKER_01: Other than that, go get it for free.
- 22:41SPEAKER_01: And the cool thing is, soon you'll be able to listen to it on my website for free, also.
- 22:48SPEAKER_01: And I have to tell you, I have to listen to myself.
- 22:52SPEAKER_01: That is the single weirdest thing I've ever done in my entire lifetime.
- 22:55SPEAKER_01: I just have to tell you that straight up.
- 22:56SPEAKER_01: I listen to my own podcast after I do them, right?
- 22:59SPEAKER_01: But I've never listened to me read a book to myself, let alone my book to myself.
- 23:04SPEAKER_01: And with AI now, they can literally take an entire two-hour episode, put it into the AI system, and it's got more than enough because most people don't have two hours of flowful conversation they can put into AI like I do, because I do these podcasts, I talk.
- 23:23SPEAKER_01: And they did it, and then they had the AI they created read my book.
- 23:28SPEAKER_01: It's bizarre.
- 23:29SPEAKER_01: It is literally when you listen to that book, that is my voice.
- 23:34SPEAKER_01: Now I have to listen to me, read my book to me.
- 23:38SPEAKER_01: And what it really has been doing as I re-listen to the details of my life, it absolutely validates 100% that book was channeled.
- 23:50SPEAKER_01: And why do I say that?
- 23:52SPEAKER_01: Because throughout that book, I'm literally making statements as if, now this is 30 years ago.
- 23:59SPEAKER_01: I'm making statements in the book as if I'm talking about my life that I live today, not the life I lived when I was writing that book.
- 24:09SPEAKER_01: It would talk in first person, present form as if I was already literally living it.
- 24:16SPEAKER_01: And most of the time I was writing that book initially, 30 years ago, I was in deep, dark, I can't breathe, kill myself, misery.
- 24:27SPEAKER_01: And then I'd be guided to write.
- 24:29SPEAKER_01: But when I re-listen to the book, there are numerous times throughout the book, it makes statements, me channeling, and it's describing the life I'm living now, 30 years later.
- 24:42SPEAKER_01: And why do I say all that?
- 24:43SPEAKER_01: Because that book was not written by a man, that book was written by a power much greater than me.
- 24:49SPEAKER_01: God can't pick up the pencil, folks.
- 24:51SPEAKER_01: So if you've got a book that's in you, pick up the pencil and let God dictate it through you, just like I did.
- 24:57SPEAKER_01: You'll see it when you get that book.
- 24:59SPEAKER_01: It truly validated it.
- 25:01SPEAKER_01: And what I also realized is that timing is everything.
- 25:05SPEAKER_01: And I heard a man say not long ago, you know, that there's a lot now he can share publicly because his parents are dead.
- 25:12SPEAKER_01: And I get that.
- 25:14SPEAKER_01: And if my mother would still be alive, my book would crush her, literally crush her.
- 25:23SPEAKER_01: And I'm glad she's not based on that.
- 25:25SPEAKER_01: Now, my mother, right now, to be 92 years old.
- 25:28SPEAKER_01: So she passed five, four and a half years ago.
- 25:31SPEAKER_01: And so I was just thinking about that the other day, because my mother didn't have the conscious awareness of emotional communion and spiritual connect and all of that.
- 25:40SPEAKER_01: But she dedicated her entire life to giving to me, my family, my sisters, my kids, whatever.
- 25:47SPEAKER_01: And when you read the book, I don't dismiss it at all.
- 25:50SPEAKER_01: I say it all the time, but I literally speak, I speak about the emotional angst I went through in an era of time where emotional communion didn't even exist.
- 26:03SPEAKER_01: Emotional support, emotional consciousness, creating safe environments, letting kids speak.
- 26:08SPEAKER_01: It didn't exist.
- 26:09SPEAKER_01: The concept didn't 60 years ago.
- 26:12SPEAKER_01: So if my mother was reading that book now, no wonder she told me it's full of lies.
- 26:17SPEAKER_01: That's exactly what happened when I was on my path, handed my mother a finished book.
- 26:23SPEAKER_01: This is 30 plus years ago, and my counselor, the only two people that I had any level of communication with.
- 26:29SPEAKER_01: My mother called me an absolute liar, and my counselor Nancy at the time called me a thief.
- 26:36SPEAKER_01: I never talked to Nancy again.
- 26:37SPEAKER_01: She died 10 years later.
- 26:39SPEAKER_01: I never spoke to her again.
- 26:40SPEAKER_01: That's how that path ended.
- 26:42SPEAKER_01: My mother, I didn't see my mother for nine months.
- 26:45SPEAKER_01: I didn't really hang around her again for two years.
- 26:47SPEAKER_01: And I get it, I do.
- 26:48SPEAKER_01: I see her sign.
- 26:49SPEAKER_01: Was I lying?
- 26:50SPEAKER_01: No.
- 26:51SPEAKER_01: I was sharing my emotional side.
- 26:53SPEAKER_01: Can I truly see now, listening to it, how it was absolutely channeled?
- 26:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I can.
- 26:59SPEAKER_01: Because I'm stating things there as if I'm talking about myself in the future.
- 27:05SPEAKER_01: It's bizarre and it's really cool.
- 27:07SPEAKER_01: And I think you really enjoy it.
- 27:09SPEAKER_01: JoeMidiga.com.
- 27:10SPEAKER_01: And I apologize, anyone that's gone there and it wasn't for free.
- 27:13SPEAKER_01: They're asking for your email address first.
- 27:15SPEAKER_01: I apologize.
- 27:16SPEAKER_01: I do.
- 27:16SPEAKER_01: Please go back and get it.
- 27:19SPEAKER_01: You know, the power of what we have here and why I'm building the We Podcast.
- 27:23SPEAKER_01: The We Podcast is an awareness podcast.
- 27:26SPEAKER_01: It is.
- 27:26SPEAKER_01: I want to bring awareness to people.
- 27:28SPEAKER_01: I'm not a long-term support podcast.
- 27:31SPEAKER_01: That's not my role.
- 27:33SPEAKER_01: I find places that can support you long term.
- 27:37SPEAKER_01: And this website called Divorce Post.
- 27:40SPEAKER_01: Why do I keep bringing it up?
- 27:41SPEAKER_01: Because a lot of you are outgrowing your partners.
- 27:45SPEAKER_01: Period.
- 27:46SPEAKER_01: Now, hopefully, you and your partner listen to the Wii podcast.
- 27:50SPEAKER_01: You listen on Tuesday, he listens on Thursday.
- 27:53SPEAKER_01: Together over the weekend, you share back and forth what you got, you learn to grow, and you connect together in a spiritual union and you're growing together.
- 28:02SPEAKER_01: For the rest of the 99% of you, the majority of you, most of you, just like me, I was on a different spiritual path than my partner.
- 28:13SPEAKER_01: I was on a different spiritual path.
- 28:15SPEAKER_01: Does it make me better or worse?
- 28:17SPEAKER_01: No.
- 28:17SPEAKER_01: No.
- 28:18SPEAKER_01: In fact, I was much more self-absorbed because I had to put God first.
- 28:23SPEAKER_01: And in a marriage, you put anything in front of your marriage when you're married to somebody who wants to be put first.
- 28:28SPEAKER_01: Can you imagine how miserable it had to be for her?
- 28:31SPEAKER_01: It was miserable enough for her to divorce me.
- 28:34SPEAKER_01: And I get it, I do.
- 28:35SPEAKER_01: Now, someday, if God ever blesses me with a new female partner in my life, I've been single 12 years.
- 28:43SPEAKER_01: Somebody, God blesses me with a partner, a partner in my life.
- 28:46SPEAKER_01: We will both have the approach where each one of us individually will understand spiritually.
- 28:52SPEAKER_01: We have to put our divinity in God first and then give the overflow to each other as a partnership.
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: I wasn't married to somebody like that.
- 29:00SPEAKER_01: Just different.
- 29:00SPEAKER_01: We are different.
- 29:01SPEAKER_01: And a lot of you are not married to somebody like you.
- 29:05SPEAKER_01: Period.
- 29:06SPEAKER_01: That's why I keep talking about this divorce post thing.
- 29:09SPEAKER_01: Can I help you if you get divorced?
- 29:11SPEAKER_01: No.
- 29:11SPEAKER_01: Do I have a download that?
- 29:13SPEAKER_01: No.
- 29:14SPEAKER_01: This website does.
- 29:16SPEAKER_01: And have I talked to them directly?
- 29:18SPEAKER_01: No.
- 29:18SPEAKER_01: Am I affiliated with them at all?
- 29:20SPEAKER_01: No, no, no.
- 29:22SPEAKER_01: I know of the founder.
- 29:24SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 29:24SPEAKER_01: I don't know these people.
- 29:26SPEAKER_01: And I learned a little bit recently.
- 29:29SPEAKER_01: She doesn't need the money, which tells me she's doing it out of passion.
- 29:34SPEAKER_01: Has to be.
- 29:34SPEAKER_01: Why else?
- 29:36SPEAKER_01: It's passion.
- 29:37SPEAKER_01: And I learned, I don't know what it was, she had some hugely successful online support, something in the past.
- 29:44SPEAKER_01: So with those characteristics in place, I feel a hundred percent comfortable.
- 29:50SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 29:51SPEAKER_01: Because I want to help you, each of you, any of you.
- 29:56SPEAKER_01: And she does have a free download app, something.
- 29:59SPEAKER_01: I haven't looked at it.
- 30:00SPEAKER_01: Well, thank God I'm not going through divorce.
- 30:03SPEAKER_01: I wish I'd have had it 10 years ago, 12 years ago, when I was going through my divorce.
- 30:07SPEAKER_01: I had nothing.
- 30:08SPEAKER_01: I left everything except what was in the front seat of my car.
- 30:12SPEAKER_01: I'm really excited also because I found a podcast called Dads in Recovery.
- 30:17SPEAKER_01: Mr.
- 30:17SPEAKER_01: Brandon and Mr.
- 30:18SPEAKER_01: Cliff.
- 30:19SPEAKER_01: These men no sooner have the time, the need, or the need to do it for money, than the man on the moon to do a podcast about supporting dads in recovery.
- 30:32SPEAKER_01: So why are they doing it?
- 30:34SPEAKER_01: Because they're being guided to do it.
- 30:36SPEAKER_01: Literally.
- 30:37SPEAKER_01: I haven't met either one of them either.
- 30:38SPEAKER_01: Now, Mr.
- 30:39SPEAKER_01: Brandon, you know, I told them both, and Mr.
- 30:43SPEAKER_01: Brandon has replied to me, and he asked for me to for us to talk on Tuesday.
- 30:47SPEAKER_01: I'm looking forward to it.
- 30:48SPEAKER_01: I am.
- 30:49SPEAKER_01: I don't really know the detail of their story.
- 30:51SPEAKER_01: I know they both have full-time jobs.
- 30:53SPEAKER_01: I know Mr.
- 30:53SPEAKER_01: Clint works for a big online support system, but they're doing it out of passion.
- 31:01SPEAKER_01: They're doing it out of overflow.
- 31:03SPEAKER_01: And when I come across somebody that's doing something like that out of overflow, and I think each one of you can benefit, particularly, I'm going to tell you about it.
- 31:12SPEAKER_01: Dad's in recovery, look it up.
- 31:14SPEAKER_01: It's a podcast.
- 31:15SPEAKER_01: And what I want to suggest to you, if you're a dad in recovery, that you're already there, go and listen.
- 31:23SPEAKER_01: It's cool.
- 31:24SPEAKER_01: They do a great job.
- 31:25SPEAKER_01: Donate, volunteer.
- 31:26SPEAKER_01: Maybe they'll have you as a guest.
- 31:28SPEAKER_01: Support it.
- 31:29SPEAKER_01: Tell everybody else.
- 31:30SPEAKER_01: Tell a million people.
- 31:31SPEAKER_01: I plan to tell a million people myself.
- 31:34SPEAKER_01: But if you're that dad that is a drinker, but you know what?
- 31:41SPEAKER_01: Here's the story.
- 31:42SPEAKER_01: This whole delusional ridiculousness that says, oh, I'm a drinker, so I'm an alcoholic, that's just freaking garbage.
- 31:50SPEAKER_01: Non-truth.
- 31:53SPEAKER_01: Non-fricking truth.
- 31:55SPEAKER_01: Minuscule percentiles.
- 31:58SPEAKER_01: Very, very, very, very small percentiles of drinkers are alcoholics.
- 32:04SPEAKER_01: Period.
- 32:06SPEAKER_01: Well, I can tell you if you're an active alcoholic, you go listen to that podcast, you'll cuss them out, you'll throw it away, and you'll just throw it in the trash can.
- 32:13SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 32:13SPEAKER_01: Because it ain't for you.
- 32:14SPEAKER_01: Now, the company Mr.
- 32:16SPEAKER_01: Cliff works for, if I ever get to represent a company like that, you need them, not this podcast.
- 32:23SPEAKER_01: But who needs to listen to that podcast?
- 32:25SPEAKER_01: The guy that's sitting there, the dad who's sitting there, who's 36 years old, and wonders why he still drinks.
- 32:31SPEAKER_01: Like, why do you still drink at 36 years old?
- 32:34SPEAKER_01: What benefit is it giving you besides zero?
- 32:37SPEAKER_01: Oh, I've done it my whole life, I know.
- 32:40SPEAKER_01: But what would life be like without it?
- 32:43SPEAKER_01: First off, you'd save money.
- 32:45SPEAKER_01: Secondly, that beer belly that you're building more and more with every Budweiser would go less.
- 32:52SPEAKER_01: And do I have anything against alcohol?
- 32:54SPEAKER_01: Absolutely not.
- 32:55SPEAKER_01: I don't.
- 32:56SPEAKER_01: Don't care.
- 32:57SPEAKER_01: But it's time.
- 32:58SPEAKER_01: It's time to start asking yourself the question.
- 33:01SPEAKER_01: And if you really are that person that you're just like questioning, what would it be like to not have it?
- 33:09SPEAKER_01: That's who that podcast is for.
- 33:11SPEAKER_01: And women listen to it too.
- 33:13SPEAKER_01: Dad's in recovery, mom's in recovery, whatever.
- 33:15SPEAKER_01: This particular one's gonna have dads on it.
- 33:17SPEAKER_01: Listen to it.
- 33:18SPEAKER_01: You'll hear these people's stories about life with substance, life without it.
- 33:25SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 33:26SPEAKER_01: Because most of you right now, if you just make the decision that you're gonna drink less or stop at all, you can do it most.
- 33:35SPEAKER_01: Because if you're an alcoholic, I'm not telling the alcoholic, the alcoholic needs a hell of a lot more than a podcast.
- 33:41SPEAKER_01: I'm talking to the other 98% of you, literally.
- 33:44SPEAKER_01: And let alone the people that were alcoholic, are alcoholic, been to meetings, and now you're looking for an online continuous support.
- 33:52SPEAKER_01: Dad's in recovery.
- 33:53SPEAKER_01: It's really, really a cool thing.
- 33:56SPEAKER_01: And it's still flabbergasted me.
- 33:59SPEAKER_01: You know, I tell all of you, and I tell all of you because I care.
- 34:03SPEAKER_01: And I'm the guy with if you're in front of me, I'd ask you straight up.
- 34:06SPEAKER_01: I love you enough, I really do, to ask those types of questions.
- 34:10SPEAKER_01: And there's a lot of questions I'm gonna ask because I challenge the social norm all the time.
- 34:15SPEAKER_01: And I'm gonna challenge the human consciousness too.
- 34:18SPEAKER_01: I am.
- 34:19SPEAKER_01: We're trying to spiritually grow, we're trying to emotionally heal.
- 34:22SPEAKER_01: And a substance that numbs you, period.
- 34:25SPEAKER_01: That's what alcohol is, marijuana is all substance, it numbs you.
- 34:29SPEAKER_01: And if you're numb, you're not feeling all you can be feeling.
- 34:32SPEAKER_01: And if you're not feeling all you can be feeling, that means you are limiting your capacity to be the greatest, grandest you.
- 34:40SPEAKER_01: And I want you to hear me.
- 34:42SPEAKER_01: In this day and age, you want to stop drinking alcohol, most of you can.
- 34:47SPEAKER_01: Or you want to stop doing a behavior pattern that's causing you angst, there is support.
- 34:52SPEAKER_01: If you're eating too much sugar, there's support.
- 34:55SPEAKER_01: If you're smoking marijuana, there's support.
- 34:57SPEAKER_01: If you're smoking cigarettes, anything you're doing right now that you know is not healthy for you, there is support.
- 35:04SPEAKER_01: Right now, 1-800-something that you can do to stop the behaviors that are causing you challenge.
- 35:10SPEAKER_01: And unlike years ago, with the whole numbing of alcohol, years ago, the only people that ever stopped were destitute.
- 35:19SPEAKER_01: Pain motivates.
- 35:21SPEAKER_01: Those days are over.
- 35:22SPEAKER_01: We are the generation of change.
- 35:24SPEAKER_01: People can and will stop because you make a decision.
- 35:28SPEAKER_01: I made the decision, not because I was at any bottom, but because I heard myself ask the question.
- 35:34SPEAKER_01: When's the last time I went without alcohol?
- 35:36SPEAKER_01: I asked you the same question.
- 35:37SPEAKER_01: I really do.
- 35:38SPEAKER_01: And when you start, just like I asked you the question, when was your first spiritual thought?
- 35:43SPEAKER_01: Well, you know what?
- 35:44SPEAKER_01: Your first spiritual thought could have been 20 years ago.
- 35:46SPEAKER_01: You could be on a spiritual path this whole time, and you could still be drinking and doing the recreational stuff.
- 35:52SPEAKER_01: Well, at some point you have to ask yourself those additional questions.
- 35:56SPEAKER_01: Is it helping me become a grander me?
- 35:58SPEAKER_01: Whatever the it is you're doing in your world, is it helping me become a grander me?
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: And if the answer is no, then it's time to seek the support necessary.
- 36:08SPEAKER_01: The asking of the question is an awakening, is part of the spiritual awakening.
- 36:14SPEAKER_01: When the answer is no and you decide to do something about it, that's where spiritual growth comes into play.
- 36:22SPEAKER_01: If you can't just effortlessly stop a behavior pattern, that's then when you have to go into the emotional side and heal the reason the pattern is there in the first place.
- 36:33SPEAKER_01: If you're overeating, if you're over sexting, if you're raging too much, whatever the it is in your world, if you can't just stop it, then there's an emotional wound that's causing it.
- 36:46SPEAKER_01: And that's a different thing.
- 36:48SPEAKER_01: It is.
- 36:49SPEAKER_01: So, and today there's so much more support and possibility to live a grander you by just kind of making the decision and then pursuing the support to live as the grander you.
- 37:05SPEAKER_01: And I think it's very, very cool.
- 37:08SPEAKER_01: I do, you know, we live in an amazing time, we do.
- 37:11SPEAKER_01: And we are the generation of change because of it.
- 37:15SPEAKER_01: So I'm telling you right now, you can make a decision.
- 37:19SPEAKER_01: And most of you, you're gonna need support, but this dad's in recovery, it'll let you hear the voices of people that have did it one way, now they're doing it another way.
- 37:31SPEAKER_01: And in my opinion, anybody that's in a 12-step program, you're called to that 12-step program from a place much higher than yourself, because the 12th step of any program is the living of service.
- 37:43SPEAKER_01: And if you're living of service, that means by definition you're living through your higher power.
- 37:48SPEAKER_01: The action step, the conscious communion of a grander sense of you, living as your divinity, the state of being and living of your divinity is the state of service.
- 37:59SPEAKER_01: So all of us, any of us that are 12 years that are gone through the 12 steps and the programs, any program, living your 12 step is living a higher purpose.
- 38:10SPEAKER_01: It's living as a grander you, it's part of your spiritual journey.
- 38:14SPEAKER_01: It certainly is.
- 38:16SPEAKER_01: And I can tell you for myself, as I learned how to be guided by the different parts of me, that's how I remembered everything I share from the spiritual side of self.
- 38:29SPEAKER_01: I wasn't a God guy.
- 38:31SPEAKER_01: I sure as heck was not seeking a power greater than myself.
- 38:34SPEAKER_01: And the last thing on the planet I was trying to do was create a relationship with God.
- 38:39SPEAKER_01: Nada, zero, not at all.
- 38:43SPEAKER_01: Not at all.
- 38:44SPEAKER_01: In fact, I'm not using the adjectives I used to use, the type of God, the type of God person I was, because I get those little squiggly marks.
- 38:54SPEAKER_01: It's like cussing.
- 38:55SPEAKER_01: I'm just gonna say I was an extreme non-God guy.
- 38:58SPEAKER_01: Always knew there was a God, never atheist, had no relationship at all.
- 39:02SPEAKER_01: And now I have a direct communion.
- 39:06SPEAKER_01: I literally live one with a power greater than myself 99% of the time.
- 39:10SPEAKER_01: As you listen to me here, the reason you keep coming back is because the grander part of me is the one speaking.
- 39:18SPEAKER_01: The grander part of you is the one listening, and it just resonates with you somehow, somehow.
- 39:23SPEAKER_01: And that's why I say all the time, listen to the episodes over and over.
- 39:27SPEAKER_01: Go through the catalog.
- 39:28SPEAKER_01: We created a library of episodes so that people at any place where you are, from the highest of your highs to the lowest of your lows, I can promise you I've been there at some place and some time.
- 39:39SPEAKER_01: And let my voice keep you company, especially if you're in a hard time, especially if you're in a dark time, especially if you're in a confusing time.
- 39:47SPEAKER_01: Let my voice keep you company.
- 39:49SPEAKER_01: I've been there and I'm telling you, if I can walk out, so can you.
- 39:53SPEAKER_01: How will you walk out?
- 39:54SPEAKER_01: I don't have the house.
- 39:56SPEAKER_01: I'm finding places where I can point you.
- 39:59SPEAKER_01: Again, as soon as I'm some big online organization that does support gives me permission to say their name, I am not asking for compensation.
- 40:08SPEAKER_01: You want to know something?
- 40:09SPEAKER_01: That's the hardest part of the whole thing.
- 40:11SPEAKER_01: As soon as I reach out to somebody and say, hey, I'm willing to talk about your company with a global audience for free, they have to think I'm spam.
- 40:20SPEAKER_01: Literally.
- 40:20SPEAKER_01: It's unbelievable.
- 40:22SPEAKER_01: But that's just the society we live in.
- 40:24SPEAKER_01: But trust me, I will find sooner or later, I will come across some large online system that if you really need help, I can point you there.
- 40:34SPEAKER_01: And I will, and I'll do it.
- 40:36SPEAKER_01: I'm not looking for compensation to do that.
- 40:38SPEAKER_01: I'm not.
- 40:39SPEAKER_01: And you know, as we grow, as we shift, as we change, I keep saying we're the generation of change, the feminine side of self is opening up.
- 40:49SPEAKER_01: And I'm gonna tell you literally in my story how that happened to me and how following a higher power, which is following a higher power or following a grander you, when you're in an unconscious state, the only you is your unconscious eco state.
- 41:09SPEAKER_01: When you go from conscious to unconscious, right?
- 41:12SPEAKER_01: I mean, I keep mixing that up.
- 41:13SPEAKER_01: When you go from unconscious to conscious, not hearing your thoughts to hearing your thoughts, there's a part who is hearing the thoughts, and then there's a part who is the thoughts.
- 41:25SPEAKER_01: Think about that.
- 41:26SPEAKER_01: There's two of you right there.
- 41:27SPEAKER_01: You hear your own thoughts, the part doing the hearing is a grander you, the part that has the thoughts is the old you, literally, multidimensional.
- 41:37SPEAKER_01: That's where it starts, right there.
- 41:39SPEAKER_01: And the part hearing the thoughts is the part that is has your grandest end result in mind.
- 41:49SPEAKER_01: The part hearing the thoughts, the part that is helping you grow spiritually is your divinity, it's your higher sense of self.
- 41:59SPEAKER_01: You were born to become the grandest you.
- 42:03SPEAKER_01: And a lot of times where the confusion comes into play as we follow that higher sense of self, we gain and create attached delusions that we rate success or failure.
- 42:15SPEAKER_01: Well, I'm following my higher sense of self, I'm following my higher power as long as the result ends up the way I want it to.
- 42:23SPEAKER_01: Hear what I just said, and most people do it.
- 42:27SPEAKER_01: They say, Well, if I'm following my higher power, then everything's gonna be great.
- 42:31SPEAKER_01: No, it's a falsehood, not true.
- 42:34SPEAKER_01: If I'm following my higher power, then everything's gonna be easy, right, Joe?
- 42:38SPEAKER_01: No.
- 42:38SPEAKER_01: Airy fairy, no, easy lovey done, no, no, and no.
- 42:43SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 42:44SPEAKER_01: Because your higher power isn't about following an internal essence to effortlessly create an external result.
- 42:50SPEAKER_01: They're different things, literally different things.
- 42:54SPEAKER_01: Let me repeat what I just said.
- 42:56SPEAKER_01: Following an internal higher you is not automatically going to create a grander external life.
- 43:06SPEAKER_01: They are separate things, completely separate.
- 43:10SPEAKER_01: Following a higher you take you down a path to where you become a grander internal you, which is what your purpose, your life purpose is.
- 43:23SPEAKER_01: Your life purpose is to become and live consciously as the grandest you you can be.
- 43:32SPEAKER_01: Then when you become that grandest you, living the grandest you out into the world, that's living your purpose.
- 43:39SPEAKER_01: That's giving back, that's manifesting out in the world, where the world benefits from you living as the grandest you.
- 43:47SPEAKER_01: The We podcast is created because when I'm behind this microphone, the man in the microphone, I'm living as the grandest me that I could possibly be right here, right now, on the 25th day of October.
- 43:59SPEAKER_01: And I can Tell you, I am a different me from a year ago when I started this November 11th.
- 44:04SPEAKER_01: I'm a different me.
- 44:05SPEAKER_01: I am.
- 44:06SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 44:06SPEAKER_01: Because I spiritually grow, I emotionally shift, I go through psychic death.
- 44:11SPEAKER_01: I live literally on a daily basis, everything I share with y'all all the time.
- 44:15SPEAKER_01: I do.
- 44:16SPEAKER_01: That's how I can share it so clearly.
- 44:19SPEAKER_01: And we're at a place to where the more we are guided by a grander us, that grander us is making sure you're becoming a grander you.
- 44:32SPEAKER_01: In some ways, sometimes becoming the grander you, you get whatever it is, the shiny object in your external life.
- 44:39SPEAKER_01: Sometimes you don't.
- 44:41SPEAKER_01: I got a story here in a little bit where my humanity had all sorts of attached delusions associated with what my shiny object was.
- 44:49SPEAKER_01: And unfortunately, I didn't get that shiny object.
- 44:52SPEAKER_01: And the pain was relentless.
- 44:54SPEAKER_01: It was.
- 44:55SPEAKER_01: I was listening to a podcast, and this is a perfect example of the yesterday's newspaper and the today's experience.
- 45:03SPEAKER_01: I was listening to a podcast about a big, well-known podcast, and had a guest, a well-known guest, great human, all of them great humans.
- 45:13SPEAKER_01: And they was asked the question.
- 45:15SPEAKER_01: It was like something to the effect of, you know, Johnny, which is not his name, what would you tell a person that, you know, people are afraid?
- 45:23SPEAKER_01: They're losing their job, they're hurting, they're afraid AI's taking over, you know, they're going through emotional challenges, they're going through the what would you tell them?
- 45:33SPEAKER_01: Well, first off, the podcast host basically set this person up to, as far as I'm concerned, for complete failure.
- 45:40SPEAKER_01: This person is not an emotionally support you type of guy.
- 45:45SPEAKER_01: This is the guy that gets in the front of a thousand people who's already all those thousand people have the$500 to come one of these events.
- 45:52SPEAKER_01: So they're already in a good place.
- 45:54SPEAKER_01: They're already in a dynamic place, they're already looking to be motivated to go out on Tuesday afternoon and do something great.
- 45:59SPEAKER_01: That's what he's a stud at.
- 46:02SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 46:02SPEAKER_01: Because his answer, if you really dissect what he said, was he trying to hurt or harm?
- 46:09SPEAKER_01: No.
- 46:10SPEAKER_01: But if anybody in a tough spot heard that interview, it's exactly what they would see.
- 46:14SPEAKER_01: And I'm paraphrasing completely, and I'm not shaming or blaming anybody.
- 46:18SPEAKER_01: But basically, the answer is the old standard get off your backside and get out there and go.
- 46:23SPEAKER_01: All the BS.
- 46:24SPEAKER_01: Why do I call it BS?
- 46:26SPEAKER_01: Because in the past that might have worked.
- 46:28SPEAKER_01: Might have.
- 46:29SPEAKER_01: But today that isn't how it works.
- 46:32SPEAKER_01: It's not.
- 46:33SPEAKER_01: So when I'm asked that same question, because I'm going to be, you know, the We Podcast Global, I outrank 90% of these people now.
- 46:43SPEAKER_01: The We podcast, we outrank most of the largest podcast brands you know out there.
- 46:50SPEAKER_01: Most of them.
- 46:51SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 46:52SPEAKER_01: Because this message, the We message, is the next generation of growth message.
- 46:59SPEAKER_01: The positive affirmations and go work harder and get off your backside.
- 47:04SPEAKER_01: That message worked for 10, 20 years.
- 47:06SPEAKER_01: It did.
- 47:07SPEAKER_01: Created these people, bucks of dollars, and they helped a bunch of folks.
- 47:11SPEAKER_01: Is that the message that helps the people today?
- 47:15SPEAKER_01: No, it's not.
- 47:16SPEAKER_01: How do I know?
- 47:17SPEAKER_01: Because if it really helped still today, those podcasts would have a global explosion.
- 47:25SPEAKER_01: Well, the We podcast is having a global explosion.
- 47:28SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 47:28SPEAKER_01: Because what's our message?
- 47:30SPEAKER_01: What would I say to that person?
- 47:31SPEAKER_01: First off, I would say, I'm sorry.
- 47:33SPEAKER_01: I freaking get it.
- 47:35SPEAKER_01: That's the very first thing I would say to somebody.
- 47:38SPEAKER_01: So let me just tell you, if you're in that place right now, if you're afraid and you're sad and you can't get off your couch and you don't know what the hell you're going to do, and you're, you know, you lost your job and all that, please understand.
- 47:50SPEAKER_01: I get it.
- 47:51SPEAKER_01: First off, I wish I could come and hug your neck.
- 47:54SPEAKER_01: Because a couple of really good cries, you'd feel a lot better.
- 47:57SPEAKER_01: I can't hug everybody's neck.
- 47:58SPEAKER_01: I'm going to try to when I'm out on the streets.
- 48:00SPEAKER_01: But what would be the first thing I would say to somebody?
- 48:03SPEAKER_01: I would say, first off, find a friend that you can have dialogue with.
- 48:08SPEAKER_01: Period.
- 48:09SPEAKER_01: You have to have a friend that you can tell your most intimate fears to.
- 48:15SPEAKER_01: You have to.
- 48:16SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 48:17SPEAKER_01: Because this get off the couch and work harder.
- 48:21SPEAKER_01: If you could do that, you'd already done that last Tuesday, other Tuesday before, other Tuesday before.
- 48:26SPEAKER_01: Why can't you just go do that?
- 48:29SPEAKER_01: Because you're hurting.
- 48:32SPEAKER_01: Why can people like this particular host do it and you can't?
- 48:36SPEAKER_01: Because 40 years ago, when these people lived that, they created a message, they created millions of dollars, they created millions of followers, and their external worlds right now are freaking fantasticness.
- 48:53SPEAKER_01: Now, this particular human being was in a marriage for 20 years that just was absolutely destroyed him.
- 49:00SPEAKER_01: Oh, but I'm motion fine, perfectly fine.
- 49:03SPEAKER_01: He's in a marriage that destroyed him for 20 years.
- 49:07SPEAKER_01: So he got rid of that person after 20 years.
- 49:09SPEAKER_01: Hopefully, he's in a marriage now that's doing better.
- 49:12SPEAKER_01: Why do I keep saying it like that?
- 49:14SPEAKER_01: Because folks, your external world does not mirror your internal angst.
- 49:20SPEAKER_01: It doesn't.
- 49:21SPEAKER_01: And when you're in internal angst and your external world is in challenge because you still have to pay your car payment or they're going to tow it, and you still have to pay your rent, your ass gonna be on the streets.
- 49:32SPEAKER_01: What do you do?
- 49:34SPEAKER_01: Well, the first thing you do, find a friend that you can tell the truth to.
- 49:40SPEAKER_01: Find somebody that you can share your fears with.
- 49:44SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 49:45SPEAKER_01: Because as you start getting them out, they lessen.
- 49:49SPEAKER_01: Get a pad of paper.
- 49:51SPEAKER_01: This is the perfect spot.
- 49:53SPEAKER_01: And again, if you're buried in that place where there's so much emotion, there's so much heaviness, it's hard to do this type of stuff by yourself.
- 50:04SPEAKER_01: So find somebody, have them listen to this episode and tell them, Mr.
- 50:09SPEAKER_01: Joe said, I need to do a first step.
- 50:12SPEAKER_01: Will you please help me?
- 50:13SPEAKER_01: I'm not sure what it is.
- 50:15SPEAKER_01: Please listen to Mr.
- 50:16SPEAKER_01: Joe.
- 50:16SPEAKER_01: He's gonna tell me, tell you, so you can help me.
- 50:18SPEAKER_01: You have to have somebody help.
- 50:20SPEAKER_01: That's where the we comes in, folks.
- 50:22SPEAKER_01: Or two or more are gathered.
- 50:25SPEAKER_01: We, there's a God that's there.
- 50:28SPEAKER_01: So right now, if you're in that place on that metaphoric couch and you just don't know what the heck you're gonna do, you have to have somebody that you trust.
- 50:37SPEAKER_01: And it's not NOT, not your partner, your family member, no.
- 50:45SPEAKER_01: Not your wife or spouse, not your husband or spouse responsibility to listen to your stuff.
- 50:52SPEAKER_01: No.
- 50:53SPEAKER_01: They're in your world for your overflow.
- 50:55SPEAKER_01: You need somebody else to be able to dump your stuff on.
- 50:59SPEAKER_01: And that other person can dump back, or you know, they have somebody that they do it themselves with.
- 51:06SPEAKER_01: And the very first thing to do when you have that person is admit out loud first, I'm scared to death.
- 51:14SPEAKER_01: I'm afraid.
- 51:15SPEAKER_01: I don't know what I'm gonna do.
- 51:17SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna lose my house.
- 51:19SPEAKER_01: You have to speak the fear.
- 51:23SPEAKER_01: Are you gonna be able to do it?
- 51:24SPEAKER_01: No.
- 51:25SPEAKER_01: How am I gonna do it then, Joe?
- 51:26SPEAKER_01: You have to ask for strength and courage.
- 51:28SPEAKER_01: So before your friend comes over, before you even call your friend, the very first action step is while you're sitting there and you can't move.
- 51:35SPEAKER_01: Dear God, give me strength and courage to feel what I need to heal.
- 51:40SPEAKER_01: Dear God, dear power, dear Jesus, dear Mother Teresa, dear whoever the heck your adjective is, give me the strength and courage to feel what I need to heal.
- 51:52SPEAKER_01: Because you know what the first experience that you need to feel, it's not grief, it's not loss, it's humility.
- 52:00SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 52:01SPEAKER_01: Because to tell somebody else when you're in a difficult time takes humility.
- 52:06SPEAKER_01: And humility and fear cannot fill the same space.
- 52:12SPEAKER_01: Hear what I just said.
- 52:14SPEAKER_01: Why won't you call somebody right now?
- 52:16SPEAKER_01: Why won't you?
- 52:17SPEAKER_01: There's somebody in your world, and if there's not in your friends or whatever, 1-800 freaking call somebody.
- 52:23SPEAKER_01: There are 1-800 numbers right now that you could call free.
- 52:28SPEAKER_01: An AA number, an NA number, whatever it is.
- 52:31SPEAKER_01: Now I'm not even talking about alcohol.
- 52:32SPEAKER_01: Suicide numbers, there's a number right now you can call.
- 52:36SPEAKER_01: Look on the internet.
- 52:37SPEAKER_01: If you don't have the internet, look on your phone.
- 52:38SPEAKER_01: I know you have the internet, you're listening to me.
- 52:40SPEAKER_01: So you have the internet.
- 52:42SPEAKER_01: 1-800, call somebody and call.
- 52:46SPEAKER_01: Why won't you call?
- 52:49SPEAKER_01: Fear.
- 52:50SPEAKER_01: Paralyzed in your own fear.
- 52:51SPEAKER_01: How do I get out of the paralyzation?
- 52:53SPEAKER_01: Ask for help.
- 52:54SPEAKER_01: From what, Joe?
- 52:56SPEAKER_01: A power greater than yourself.
- 52:57SPEAKER_01: That's you with you.
- 53:00SPEAKER_01: What does it sound like, Joe?
- 53:02SPEAKER_01: Dear God, give me the strength and courage to feel what I need to heal.
- 53:06SPEAKER_01: Dear God, give me the strength and courage to feel what I need to heal.
- 53:09SPEAKER_01: Dear Jesus, dear Buddha, dear Archangel Michael, whoever your dear is, dear Great Spirit, give me the strength and courage to feel what I need to heal.
- 53:21SPEAKER_01: Why do we start with a power greater than ourselves?
- 53:24SPEAKER_01: Because that's with you, with you.
- 53:27SPEAKER_01: And asking for that strength and courage is the beginning of humility.
- 53:31SPEAKER_01: What's the next step?
- 53:33SPEAKER_01: Find another human being that you can trust and you can share your fears with.
- 53:40SPEAKER_01: Not from a position of fixing you, not from a position of rescuing you, not from a position of making everything lovey-dovey and everything's going to be okay.
- 53:49SPEAKER_01: After the conversation, you still have to go make that car payment.
- 53:54SPEAKER_01: But the reason you can't get off the couch, you're paralyzed in your own fear.
- 53:57SPEAKER_01: Where is the fear started and where is the fear ending?
- 54:00SPEAKER_01: Is in your head.
- 54:01SPEAKER_01: What are the fear-based voices?
- 54:03SPEAKER_01: I'm not enough.
- 54:04SPEAKER_01: I can't do it.
- 54:05SPEAKER_01: I'll never find my job.
- 54:06SPEAKER_01: AI is going to replace me.
- 54:07SPEAKER_01: They're going to steal my car.
- 54:08SPEAKER_01: I'm never going to make it.
- 54:09SPEAKER_01: I'm going to lose my kid.
- 54:11SPEAKER_01: On and on and on and on.
- 54:14SPEAKER_01: How do we stop it?
- 54:15SPEAKER_01: Tell somebody else.
- 54:17SPEAKER_01: Literally.
- 54:18SPEAKER_01: How do you tell somebody else?
- 54:20SPEAKER_01: You have to call them and ask them.
- 54:22SPEAKER_01: How do you gain the courage to call them and ask them?
- 54:24SPEAKER_01: Ask your higher power for strength and courage.
- 54:27SPEAKER_01: And the reason it works every time is because to ask for help, in other words, ask for somebody to listen.
- 54:38SPEAKER_01: The asking of help and support is the seventh step in the program.
- 54:43SPEAKER_01: It's the step of humility.
- 54:46SPEAKER_01: When we're buried on our couch and we know we need to, but we can't.
- 54:51SPEAKER_01: And I'm a loser because I can't, and I'm not good enough because I can't.
- 54:55SPEAKER_01: These people say I just need to get off my butt.
- 54:57SPEAKER_01: And I can't, I can't, I can't.
- 54:59SPEAKER_01: Your I can't voices are burying you.
- 55:03SPEAKER_01: Well, the way you stop your I can't voices is share them with somebody else.
- 55:07SPEAKER_01: That's what I would tell.
- 55:08SPEAKER_01: That's what I'm going to tell when I'm asked that question.
- 55:11SPEAKER_01: What does that do?
- 55:13SPEAKER_01: It starts giving you a place to dump, get it out of your head, get it out of you, all of the I can't voices.
- 55:27SPEAKER_01: Literally.
- 55:29SPEAKER_01: And for 95% of you that are in that I can't do it space, you're not an alcoholic, you're not a drug addict, you're none of those things.
- 55:36SPEAKER_01: You're not.
- 55:37SPEAKER_01: You're just in a tough freaking spot.
- 55:40SPEAKER_01: And you're in a tough spot times 10.
- 55:43SPEAKER_01: Because 10 years ago, 12 years ago, 15 years ago, humanity, you as a human being, you as the essence called you, you weren't connected to your emotions the way you are now.
- 55:56SPEAKER_01: It just wasn't there, the same challenge emotionally 10 years ago, let alone 20.
- 56:01SPEAKER_01: So that's why for a lot of you that have never been in this kind of challenge, you're in it because the emotional side of you is up more because you as a spirit, you as a human being are spiritually evolving, spiritually evolving.
- 56:18SPEAKER_01: And how do you spiritually evolve?
- 56:20SPEAKER_01: You have to emotionally heal.
- 56:22SPEAKER_01: And what are you spiritually evolving to a communion with that power greater than yourself that you asked for strength and courage from in the beginning of this particular exercise?
- 56:33SPEAKER_01: Why aren't you already at one with that part?
- 56:36SPEAKER_01: It's in you.
- 56:38SPEAKER_01: Well, A, most people have never told you to ask it for strength and courage.
- 56:43SPEAKER_01: B, all of your fears are blocks, are barriers between you and your higher you, you and your higher truth.
- 56:52SPEAKER_01: I know, Joe, but that doesn't pay my bills.
- 56:54SPEAKER_01: No kidding.
- 56:55SPEAKER_01: I'm not saying it's going to pay your bills.
- 56:57SPEAKER_01: I'm saying the reason you can't get off the couch to pay your own bills like you've done your entire life is because of fear.
- 57:05SPEAKER_01: Why is the fear so much more now than it's ever been?
- 57:08SPEAKER_01: Because you spiritually and emotionally are growing.
- 57:11SPEAKER_01: You spiritually are expanding and your emotions are more intense than ever before.
- 57:16SPEAKER_01: Is that the case for everybody?
- 57:18SPEAKER_01: No.
- 57:18SPEAKER_01: But it's the case for that person who can't get off the couch.
- 57:21SPEAKER_01: Absolutely without question.
- 57:23SPEAKER_01: Especially the person who's been an active person in society forever and something just buries them.
- 57:29SPEAKER_01: How do you get unburied?
- 57:30SPEAKER_01: You ask for help, period.
- 57:32SPEAKER_01: And you do that enough, and you get those I can't voices out of your head more and more, then out of nowhere, you're going to find a strength, you're going to find an awakening, you're going to find an awareness.
- 57:47SPEAKER_01: You're going to hear a different you that's going to say, you know what?
- 57:53SPEAKER_01: I'm not going to get off the couch, but I'm going to bring my laptop to the couch and look for a job while I'm sitting here on the couch.
- 58:02SPEAKER_01: Something.
- 58:03SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 58:04SPEAKER_01: And you might say, I can't walk off the couch, but I'm going to roll off the couch and roll to my laptop and look for a job, something.
- 58:16SPEAKER_01: And I'm being kind of silly, but not really.
- 58:18SPEAKER_01: It could be that simple.
- 58:20SPEAKER_01: You're buried on the couch, folks, because you're buried by emotion.
- 58:23SPEAKER_01: And these people that yell and say, get your backside off.
- 58:27SPEAKER_01: And you know, they think they're helping.
- 58:28SPEAKER_01: They do.
- 58:29SPEAKER_01: They're not trying to cause harm.
- 58:30SPEAKER_01: They're not.
- 58:31SPEAKER_01: They just don't know what the hell they're talking about anymore.
- 58:33SPEAKER_01: That technique used worked in the past, it doesn't work anymore.
- 58:36SPEAKER_01: It just doesn't.
- 58:37SPEAKER_01: Because if it did, there'd be major podcasts out there that would just completely go away because their entire audience would go away.
- 58:44SPEAKER_01: If all you had to do is get off the couch when you wanted to, their audience would go away.
- 58:47SPEAKER_01: Why would they be telling people anymore?
- 58:49SPEAKER_01: Well, the how-to, first off, the why.
- 58:54SPEAKER_01: You're buried in emotion more today than ever before because humanity is waking up to the feminine side of self.
- 59:00SPEAKER_01: You're feeling, sensing, seeing, hearing, emoting things you did not even know existed 10 years ago.
- 59:07SPEAKER_01: Double triple quad.
- 59:08SPEAKER_01: And believe me, folks, it's going to be 10 times more in the next 10 years.
- 59:13SPEAKER_01: That's why I like this divorce post concept.
- 59:15SPEAKER_01: In my opinion, human beings are going to be outgrowing their partner at a rate we've never seen in humanity before.
- 59:21SPEAKER_01: Everybody?
- 59:22SPEAKER_01: No.
- 59:23SPEAKER_01: Spiritually awake people?
- 59:25SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 59:26SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 59:27SPEAKER_01: Because unequally yoked doesn't work.
- 59:29SPEAKER_01: It doesn't.
- 59:30SPEAKER_01: And that's why this divorce post concept, and when I find others, I'll mention others.
- 59:34SPEAKER_01: I just haven't come across any yet.
- 59:36SPEAKER_01: I will.
- 59:37SPEAKER_01: Important.
- 59:38SPEAKER_01: There's going to be a mass number of people that basically just wake up on a Tuesday morning and said, you know what?
- 59:44SPEAKER_01: I've drank, you know, I don't drink that much.
- 59:46SPEAKER_01: But you know what?
- 59:47SPEAKER_01: I wonder what it'd be like just to stop.
- 59:49SPEAKER_01: Well, go visit Dads in Recovery podcast.
- 59:54SPEAKER_01: There's tens of thousands of you right now over the next year, 90, 20, 27.
- 59:58SPEAKER_01: That's going to be on your list.
- 59:59SPEAKER_01: That's going to be on your New Year's Eve list, whatever the hell they call that list.
- 1:00:03SPEAKER_01: I'm just going to stop drinking.
- 1:00:05SPEAKER_01: Not because I have a problem, but you know, let me save the money and I just want to stop.
- 1:00:09SPEAKER_01: Maybe I can lose five pounds.
- 1:00:11SPEAKER_01: Great.
- 1:00:12SPEAKER_01: Go to Dad's in Recovery and listen.
- 1:00:15SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 1:00:15SPEAKER_01: Hear what it's like to be on the other side.
- 1:00:18SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:00:18SPEAKER_01: And that kind of stuff is going to be happening more and more.
- 1:00:21SPEAKER_01: And as I come across, I've just talked to a new guy that is going to be doing my videos.
- 1:00:27SPEAKER_01: This guy also produces podcasts, and he's creating his own podcast on ethical AI.
- 1:00:34SPEAKER_01: When I get his data, I'm going to share that with you.
- 1:00:36SPEAKER_01: My hope, just like Mr.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_01: Cliff and Mr.
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_01: Brandon did, my hope is that I can inspire 10,000 people to start 10,000 podcasts.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 1:00:47SPEAKER_01: Because let's say Brandon and Cliff over this next year have 10,000 downloads, which they will.
- 1:00:52SPEAKER_01: Well, if 10,000 of us have 10,000 downloads sharing your passion, whatever the heck it is, think about how many people's lives are changed.
- 1:01:01SPEAKER_01: So I just found a guy that if you want to start a podcast, this is the guy.
- 1:01:05SPEAKER_01: This guy, he just that's what he does.
- 1:01:07SPEAKER_01: And I think it's important.
- 1:01:08SPEAKER_01: I think there's a whole world of people out there that say, I'd love to do a podcast, but I don't even know where to start.
- 1:01:14SPEAKER_01: I get it.
- 1:01:15SPEAKER_01: If I wouldn't have met Miss Wendy, I wouldn't have known where to start.
- 1:01:19SPEAKER_01: And this guy, that's what he does.
- 1:01:22SPEAKER_01: And people say, well, why this guy not Miss Wendy?
- 1:01:24SPEAKER_01: Well, there's a certain type of personality that Wendy pursues.
- 1:01:29SPEAKER_01: And when I come across that type of personality, I definitely I'm on the phone for with her, with people around the globe.
- 1:01:35SPEAKER_01: But this gentleman, Mr.
- 1:01:36SPEAKER_01: Brandon, his is more the everyday human, the you and me, the just the normal folks that want to start a podcast.
- 1:01:45SPEAKER_01: And I'm going to make sure people know about it.
- 1:01:48SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 1:01:48SPEAKER_01: Because the more you can follow that grander you and give back a little bit, you're going to make money at it?
- 1:01:54SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 1:01:55SPEAKER_01: Do I make money at the We podcast?
- 1:01:57SPEAKER_01: No.
- 1:01:58SPEAKER_01: No.
- 1:01:59SPEAKER_01: Will I eventually?
- 1:02:00SPEAKER_01: No.
- 1:02:01SPEAKER_01: No.
- 1:02:02SPEAKER_01: Will I eventually selling my books one buck a download?
- 1:02:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I will.
- 1:02:06SPEAKER_01: Of course I will.
- 1:02:07SPEAKER_01: Will I be paid to take the man in the microphone out on stages?
- 1:02:12SPEAKER_01: Sure, of course.
- 1:02:13SPEAKER_01: That's a paid event.
- 1:02:14SPEAKER_01: But that isn't this.
- 1:02:16SPEAKER_01: I don't do this for that.
- 1:02:17SPEAKER_01: I don't.
- 1:02:18SPEAKER_01: I just don't.
- 1:02:19SPEAKER_01: I do this so I can sleep.
- 1:02:22SPEAKER_01: To be honest as I can possibly be with all of you, I consider you all my friends.
- 1:02:27SPEAKER_01: Why do I literally do the wee podcast?
- 1:02:29SPEAKER_01: So I can sleep at night.
- 1:02:31SPEAKER_01: Well, Joe, why don't you sleep now?
- 1:02:33SPEAKER_01: Well, because my higher power wakes me up in the middle of the night and says, Tell people.
- 1:02:36SPEAKER_01: My higher power wakes me up in the middle of the night with 10,000 creative ideas.
- 1:02:40SPEAKER_01: And if I don't get them out, if I don't share them, if I don't tell the world about them, I don't sleep at night.
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_01: I'm not kidding.
- 1:02:46SPEAKER_01: Well, I've been sleeping really well.
- 1:02:48SPEAKER_01: I have.
- 1:02:49SPEAKER_01: And all of you have been receiving it really well, which tells me that your higher power is telling you to come here.
- 1:02:55SPEAKER_01: And as your higher power is telling you to come here, some of you need to get off alcohol.
- 1:03:00SPEAKER_01: Some of you need deep core recovery stuff.
- 1:03:03SPEAKER_01: Most of you, most, you're at that place in your life where it's time to find your next thing, your higher thing, your grander thing.
- 1:03:14SPEAKER_01: And I believe the podcast is a great way to do it.
- 1:03:16SPEAKER_01: Now, I also came across this really freaking cool organization, which again, I can't, I won't mention their names until I get permission.
- 1:03:26SPEAKER_01: They are a global gig that does these amazing adventures, truly for the person who's at that phase in life, definitely more money than month, and looking for a community of like-minded spiritual, personal growth, high adventure people that I'm going to be talking about on this podcast.
- 1:03:47SPEAKER_01: Because in my opinion, there's a large percentage of you that are in that place.
- 1:03:52SPEAKER_01: And I want to just tell you about different things, places where you could go and get that type of support.
- 1:03:58SPEAKER_01: Because that's my role here.
- 1:04:01SPEAKER_01: We podcast awareness.
- 1:04:03SPEAKER_01: And also as you become aware of stuff, I want to be able to point you specifically to places that can support you long term.
- 1:04:12SPEAKER_01: So I want to finish up this particular podcast with a story.
- 1:04:19SPEAKER_01: And this is the story where through the glassful voices, and then eventually I was sitting in the warehouse where I lived.
- 1:04:34SPEAKER_01: For those of you that don't know, I lived in an abandoned warehouse for two years.
- 1:04:38SPEAKER_01: I had running water.
- 1:04:40SPEAKER_01: Basically, I had o's outside.
- 1:04:43SPEAKER_01: I could take a shower buck naked because I was in the middle of a business district.
- 1:04:48SPEAKER_01: At night, there wasn't anybody within three miles, literally.
- 1:04:52SPEAKER_01: But that was it for two years I lived there.
- 1:04:55SPEAKER_01: And it's where I started getting my rage out.
- 1:04:57SPEAKER_01: And I get my rage out.
- 1:04:59SPEAKER_01: And that's why, you know, fellas, when I say take that 15 minutes, get healthy anger out.
- 1:05:03SPEAKER_01: This whole idea of taking your rage out on your female partner, those days are over, pal.
- 1:05:07SPEAKER_01: Those are over.
- 1:05:09SPEAKER_01: Zero excuse.
- 1:05:10SPEAKER_01: Nada.
- 1:05:11SPEAKER_01: Same with you, gals.
- 1:05:12SPEAKER_01: Stop it.
- 1:05:13SPEAKER_01: It's time to get that out healthy.
- 1:05:15SPEAKER_01: I'm saying 15 minutes a week.
- 1:05:17SPEAKER_01: Take Mr.
- 1:05:18SPEAKER_01: Joe's picture.
- 1:05:19SPEAKER_01: Take mine, because I'm the one telling you it has to make you mad.
- 1:05:22SPEAKER_01: Take my picture first.
- 1:05:23SPEAKER_01: Take that real smiley one of me and put it right in the middle of your bed and beat the crap out of it with a wiffle ball bat before you watch your college football game this Sunday, this Saturday.
- 1:05:33SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 1:05:34SPEAKER_01: That's a healthy way to get anger out.
- 1:05:36SPEAKER_01: And why can I say that?
- 1:05:37SPEAKER_01: I say it jokingly, but I'm not joking.
- 1:05:40SPEAKER_01: I say it seriously.
- 1:05:41SPEAKER_01: Because when I moved to Gainesville, I had a bunch of rage.
- 1:05:45SPEAKER_01: And for months and months and months and months, I had the end of a shovel that was four feet long, and I had high ceilings.
- 1:05:53SPEAKER_01: I would beat the bed.
- 1:05:54SPEAKER_01: I used the picture idea.
- 1:05:56SPEAKER_01: The woman I dated at the time was a model, literally.
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_01: A model.
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_01: And I'd take those big, beautiful eight by ten pictures of her, and I would just beat the crap out of them.
- 1:06:06SPEAKER_01: Beat them.
- 1:06:08SPEAKER_01: She abandoned me and hurt my feelings.
- 1:06:11SPEAKER_01: Basically, she went back to her husband.
- 1:06:13SPEAKER_01: Read about it in my book.
- 1:06:15SPEAKER_01: I'm in love with a woman who's still married.
- 1:06:17SPEAKER_01: Bizarre.
- 1:06:18SPEAKER_01: I remember the whole story of my book, Living in Euphoria, one of the chapters.
- 1:06:22SPEAKER_01: Go to jumidica.com, download my book, read that story.
- 1:06:26SPEAKER_01: You want to talk about freaking insanity, and it's really bizarre.
- 1:06:30SPEAKER_01: As I'm hearing myself read that story to me, I literally got embarrassed.
- 1:06:35SPEAKER_01: I'm by myself in my room here, listening.
- 1:06:38SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, oh my God, I totally forgot about half of that stuff.
- 1:06:42SPEAKER_01: I got embarrassed about my own behaviors of 30 years ago, 35.
- 1:06:46SPEAKER_01: This is when I was still drinking a draga.
- 1:06:48SPEAKER_01: Anyways, she left.
- 1:06:50SPEAKER_01: I'm in Gainesville.
- 1:06:52SPEAKER_01: I've got the wood bat, the wood handle, beating, beating, beating.
- 1:06:56SPEAKER_01: And then out of nowhere, I didn't know what the hell happened.
- 1:07:00SPEAKER_01: I called my sponsor.
- 1:07:01SPEAKER_01: I'm like, Nancy, Nancy, I had support, landline.
- 1:07:05SPEAKER_01: I saw her every two weeks.
- 1:07:06SPEAKER_01: Other than that, one hour, 168 hours times two, minus one hour, I was in silence.
- 1:07:13SPEAKER_01: I said, Nancy, I don't know what's going on.
- 1:07:15SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 1:07:15SPEAKER_01: Nancy, I think I've lost my mind.
- 1:07:17SPEAKER_01: Nancy, I'm crazy.
- 1:07:18SPEAKER_01: I don't know what I'm sitting there in absolute sheer panic.
- 1:07:23SPEAKER_01: I've got water coming out of my eyes, Nancy.
- 1:07:25SPEAKER_01: I don't know what to do.
- 1:07:25SPEAKER_01: I don't know what's going on.
- 1:07:27SPEAKER_01: I said, I think I've lost my mind.
- 1:07:29SPEAKER_01: Nancy said, You have, Joe.
- 1:07:31SPEAKER_01: You've lost your mind, but you found your heart.
- 1:07:35SPEAKER_01: What I was doing was crying.
- 1:07:37SPEAKER_01: I was feeling sadness for the first time.
- 1:07:41SPEAKER_01: I hadn't felt sadness as an adult ever, literally ever, because I wasn't drunk and I hadn't felt sadness before.
- 1:07:49SPEAKER_01: I hadn't.
- 1:07:49SPEAKER_01: I didn't know what it was.
- 1:07:51SPEAKER_01: I was so bizarre.
- 1:07:52SPEAKER_01: It was so scary.
- 1:07:53SPEAKER_01: It was so, I did not know what the heck it was.
- 1:07:56SPEAKER_01: And I'll never forget because I grieved for about 14 minutes.
- 1:07:59SPEAKER_01: And I remember thinking, wow, whoa, that was fantastic.
- 1:08:03SPEAKER_01: I feel so much better.
- 1:08:04SPEAKER_01: I must be done.
- 1:08:06SPEAKER_01: I grieved every day for the next four years.
- 1:08:08SPEAKER_01: Literally every day.
- 1:08:10SPEAKER_01: It's part of my seven years.
- 1:08:11SPEAKER_01: And why do I say all that?
- 1:08:12SPEAKER_01: Because I found my heart.
- 1:08:14SPEAKER_01: Well, I'm now that story, I'm about 32 years old.
- 1:08:19SPEAKER_01: Now, fast forward four years, integrating the inner child.
- 1:08:23SPEAKER_01: I'm doing a ton of inner child work.
- 1:08:25SPEAKER_01: I'm emoting, I'm dual hand journaling all the time.
- 1:08:28SPEAKER_01: I'm feeling, I'm grieving, I'm healing.
- 1:08:31SPEAKER_01: And I come across this beautiful female in a networking group that I was involved with, trying to get involved with and try to make some extra money.
- 1:08:40SPEAKER_01: And I meet this beautiful female.
- 1:08:43SPEAKER_01: I'm 36, she's 29, gorgeous, big blue eyes, auburn hair, stud body, gorgeous, the whole gig, right?
- 1:08:53SPEAKER_01: And you know, naturally, I'm drawn to her, I'm attracted to her.
- 1:08:58SPEAKER_01: And we sit after this meeting, and in that era of time, if I'm talking to somebody, inner child stuff's coming up.
- 1:09:07SPEAKER_01: And I'm talking to her, and we end up talking for a couple, two or three hours, just sitting there in this coffee place.
- 1:09:14SPEAKER_01: And I introduce her to the inner child, literally, and she got it.
- 1:09:20SPEAKER_01: She connected with it, she felt it, the whole thing.
- 1:09:24SPEAKER_01: Well, you know, I'm thinking it's fantastic.
- 1:09:26SPEAKER_01: I'm really drawn to her, and I can feel my heart open, and I feel my little kid for the first time.
- 1:09:35SPEAKER_01: My little kid being drawn to a woman.
- 1:09:39SPEAKER_01: I've never experienced that before.
- 1:09:41SPEAKER_01: I've never, at before this at 36, I never had a conscious experience because my I was so closed down.
- 1:09:50SPEAKER_01: But my little kid, because she was beautiful, she was kind, she was sweet, she was gentle, she was all the things that I loved, but my little kid felt safe with her too.
- 1:10:02SPEAKER_01: And it was the first time as I'm meeting somebody that not only was my adult attracted to her, and but my little kid was attracted to.
- 1:10:13SPEAKER_01: My little kid felt safe.
- 1:10:14SPEAKER_01: And I was consciously connected to the multidimensionalness of myself to my little kid.
- 1:10:21SPEAKER_01: And a lot of this was happening way before I had much communion with a power greater than myself, way before I was in a, but in a different context.
- 1:10:32SPEAKER_01: And I'm literally following my heart.
- 1:10:35SPEAKER_01: I am.
- 1:10:36SPEAKER_01: And we met and we talked a couple of times on online, and she had just broke up with a boyfriend of that.
- 1:10:43SPEAKER_01: She she dated somebody in the Midwest and she had moved south, so they had broken up.
- 1:10:48SPEAKER_01: And I was really hoping and feeling and following my heart that you know she and I were going to connect, like maybe date, maybe be boyfriend, girlfriend, like develop a genuine communion.
- 1:11:02SPEAKER_01: I really felt that.
- 1:11:05SPEAKER_01: And then she's in touch with her little kid, and then she, you know, whatever.
- 1:11:10SPEAKER_01: And somewhere in the conversation, that it was always very open.
- 1:11:15SPEAKER_01: Now, this woman, she never said or did anything except friend, ever, which is fine.
- 1:11:22SPEAKER_01: You know, I'm all about let's be always want to be friends first, whatever.
- 1:11:26SPEAKER_01: I was hoping for more.
- 1:11:27SPEAKER_01: And in conversation one time, and you know, like normal, she's dating people, and you know, just she's beautiful.
- 1:11:34SPEAKER_01: She could date anybody she wanted.
- 1:11:36SPEAKER_01: And the moral of the story was I'm following my heart, and my little kid was in it too.
- 1:11:43SPEAKER_01: And randomly, somehow, some way, just as a friend, she says, Man, I really love you.
- 1:11:48SPEAKER_01: I really love what you, I really love you.
- 1:11:50SPEAKER_01: Thank you for helping me.
- 1:11:51SPEAKER_01: Whatever she said, something like that, which was just really sweet.
- 1:11:54SPEAKER_01: I mean, I wasn't, I never got an I love you when I was a kid.
- 1:11:57SPEAKER_01: Never.
- 1:11:58SPEAKER_01: My parents were not I love you people.
- 1:12:00SPEAKER_01: My mother was a show you, not an I love you person.
- 1:12:04SPEAKER_01: And my dad, he just didn't do either one.
- 1:12:07SPEAKER_01: So when that was said, it meant something to me.
- 1:12:11SPEAKER_01: Now, was she trying to manipulate or control?
- 1:12:15SPEAKER_01: No, pure friend, friendly, all it was, period.
- 1:12:20SPEAKER_01: And I have to say that this was all Joe with Joe and Joe's belief system attached to the end result because I'm following my heart.
- 1:12:34SPEAKER_01: That's the moral here.
- 1:12:36SPEAKER_01: You can be following something, it's the attachment that sometimes you get what you want, sometimes you don't.
- 1:12:43SPEAKER_01: Well, in this particular case, we're literally sitting in a car driving, and I'm starting to sense energy for the first time.
- 1:12:52SPEAKER_01: And we're driving, and I reach out to grab her hand innocently, and her body didn't move, but I literally felt her energy go to the passenger side door as if to jump out of the car.
- 1:13:07SPEAKER_01: I didn't really know what it was.
- 1:13:08SPEAKER_01: I couldn't, it was all new to me.
- 1:13:11SPEAKER_01: Sensing energy, you kidding?
- 1:13:13SPEAKER_01: I felt it.
- 1:13:15SPEAKER_01: Did she physically move?
- 1:13:17SPEAKER_01: No.
- 1:13:18SPEAKER_01: But what did I find out, right?
- 1:13:20SPEAKER_01: That she did not have the same desires for more of a communion like I did.
- 1:13:26SPEAKER_01: She just didn't, she wasn't guided to do it.
- 1:13:28SPEAKER_01: And how did I find that out?
- 1:13:30SPEAKER_01: Not that it was any of my business, but the next time we hung out, she told me she started dating somebody.
- 1:13:37SPEAKER_01: And I was crushed.
- 1:13:40SPEAKER_01: I mean, crushed.
- 1:13:43SPEAKER_01: And as if my adult wasn't already now.
- 1:13:47SPEAKER_01: This is in the middle of my seven years, right?
- 1:13:52SPEAKER_01: I was just starting to kind of come out a little bit, and thinking I'm getting on the other side of stuff.
- 1:13:59SPEAKER_01: This is year five of seven, and hoping that maybe I could have somebody in my world, and hoping maybe I could have a friend in my world, and hoping and attached to and communing in that place to where she got her in her child, and we could do inner child work together.
- 1:14:17SPEAKER_01: All of that, just hoping that'd be the case.
- 1:14:18SPEAKER_01: And I'm following my heart, so I know I'm doing the right thing.
- 1:14:22SPEAKER_01: And my heart literally led me right into a brick wall, literally into a brick wall.
- 1:14:29SPEAKER_01: Was it anything to do with the female?
- 1:14:31SPEAKER_01: No.
- 1:14:32SPEAKER_01: Did she do anything wrong?
- 1:14:33SPEAKER_01: Absolutely zero.
- 1:14:34SPEAKER_01: All me.
- 1:14:35SPEAKER_01: And who was the me?
- 1:14:38SPEAKER_01: The me was the adult man attached to the external result based on personal desire.
- 1:14:44SPEAKER_01: Hear what I just said.
- 1:14:47SPEAKER_01: My adult, a human adult, attached an external result based on personal desire.
- 1:14:58SPEAKER_01: And I blamed my heart because what happened was my heart had never hurt like that before.
- 1:15:07SPEAKER_01: And when that whole experience happened, I felt pain.
- 1:15:10SPEAKER_01: I didn't even know it was there.
- 1:15:11SPEAKER_01: And what was the hardest part for me was my little kid at this point was completely attached, completely addictively attached.
- 1:15:21SPEAKER_01: For 22 months, I heard my little kid say, but she said she loved me.
- 1:15:27SPEAKER_01: But she said she loved me, but she said she loved me over and over and over.
- 1:15:35SPEAKER_01: And I empathized with him.
- 1:15:36SPEAKER_01: I did.
- 1:15:38SPEAKER_01: And that particular experience, literally, led me to embracing and experiencing and feeling a depth of pain in my heart I didn't even know existed.
- 1:15:53SPEAKER_01: I didn't.
- 1:15:55SPEAKER_01: And so my higher power, I'm following a higher me.
- 1:15:58SPEAKER_01: I'm following a grander me.
- 1:16:00SPEAKER_01: At that phase, I'm following the grander me, which was following my heart.
- 1:16:05SPEAKER_01: But my higher power, having me follow my heart, not to create an external relationship, but to follow my heart.
- 1:16:13SPEAKER_01: And the consequence of following my heart and not getting what my humanity wanted was it took me into a deeper pain I didn't even know was there.
- 1:16:23SPEAKER_01: So as I embraced the deeper pain, I emotionally grew.
- 1:16:28SPEAKER_01: As I embraced the deeper pain, I spiritually remembered.
- 1:16:32SPEAKER_01: So my higher power was doing its intention all along, which is to create life purpose.
- 1:16:39SPEAKER_01: And what's life purpose from your higher power's position?
- 1:16:42SPEAKER_01: Become the grandest you.
- 1:16:44SPEAKER_01: Well, can you be the grandest you and still have deep dark misery pain?
- 1:16:49SPEAKER_01: No, not if you're on a path that's supposed to heal it.
- 1:16:52SPEAKER_01: Well, that relationship, which was never a relationship, was all me.
- 1:16:55SPEAKER_01: Never her, always just me.
- 1:16:57SPEAKER_01: The pain was bizarrely intense for a long time.
- 1:17:05SPEAKER_01: And that all ended up in a spiritual experience.
- 1:17:09SPEAKER_01: If all of you remember, there was an era of time where Princess Diana was killed and Mother Teresa died, and the globe was literally grieving.
- 1:17:20SPEAKER_01: And I was sitting at my counselor Nancy's house.
- 1:17:24SPEAKER_01: I was living at Nancy's now in a one-bedroom.
- 1:17:27SPEAKER_01: You know, I was out of the warehouse, so I'm living there.
- 1:17:30SPEAKER_01: And she was gone for a weekend.
- 1:17:32SPEAKER_01: And I am in misery.
- 1:17:36SPEAKER_01: And I hear Elton John play Goodbye, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road with his new version for Princess Diana.
- 1:17:45SPEAKER_01: And for a four or five day period of time, I grieved and I grieved and I grieved and I grieved.
- 1:17:51SPEAKER_01: And it literally felt like the experience of my heart, my chest cavity being ripped open.
- 1:17:59SPEAKER_01: That's what it felt like.
- 1:18:01SPEAKER_01: And my awareness kept saying, Well, dear God, bring light in.
- 1:18:04SPEAKER_01: Dear God, help me.
- 1:18:05SPEAKER_01: Dear God, help me feel better.
- 1:18:07SPEAKER_01: Dear God, help me feel better.
- 1:18:09SPEAKER_01: Well, God's not codependent.
- 1:18:11SPEAKER_01: God doesn't help us feel better.
- 1:18:13SPEAKER_01: God gives us the strength and courage to heal the reason you feel hurt in the first place.
- 1:18:19SPEAKER_01: And it was through that spiritual experience, literally, that crevice opening, that cavern opening, the pain as if literally I'm being ripped open.
- 1:18:28SPEAKER_01: And I was in it four or five days.
- 1:18:30SPEAKER_01: And that was right around Princess Diana's death.
- 1:18:33SPEAKER_01: And I listened to that song.
- 1:18:34SPEAKER_01: I'm a music guy.
- 1:18:35SPEAKER_01: I listened to Elton John's song that he sings and he changed the words to her.
- 1:18:41SPEAKER_01: And it was at some spot in that that I had this spiritual awakening that said, it's no longer about bringing energy from the outside in.
- 1:18:52SPEAKER_01: The opening of my heart crevice, the opening of my heart cavern in that awareness, five or six days out in pain and dark and miserable.
- 1:19:01SPEAKER_01: I can't breathe.
- 1:19:02SPEAKER_01: No money, of course.
- 1:19:03SPEAKER_01: I was always starving, always.
- 1:19:05SPEAKER_01: I was sitting there and out of nowhere, I visualize and I see energy coming out of me instead of me constantly trying to have energy come into me.
- 1:19:16SPEAKER_01: It was because of that experience that catapulted me into pain I didn't even know existed.
- 1:19:23SPEAKER_01: I embraced that pain for numerous months.
- 1:19:26SPEAKER_01: Then I'm in that weekend.
- 1:19:28SPEAKER_01: Princess Diana dies, I'm listening, I'm watching.
- 1:19:30SPEAKER_01: The world is grieving.
- 1:19:32SPEAKER_01: And I'm in that place of grief.
- 1:19:34SPEAKER_01: And the awakening that happened was the spiritual remembering that happened, was that we, the energy of all that is already in us.
- 1:19:45SPEAKER_01: We don't have to call it to us, it's already in us.
- 1:19:50SPEAKER_01: And because of all that, I started to really understand that our grander sense of self, the grandest us, the spiritual light, the enlightenment, the light is already inside of us.
- 1:20:07SPEAKER_01: It's not outside coming in, it's inside coming out.
- 1:20:12SPEAKER_01: And I would have never had that spiritual awakening if I would have never had that experience, if I would have never felt that loss, if I would have never walked through the time with my little kid for 22 months.
- 1:20:22SPEAKER_01: Now, this is a two-year experience, 22 months.
- 1:20:26SPEAKER_01: But she said she loved me, but she said she loved me in my higher power, who basically I felt completely betrayed by my own heart for six months, literally.
- 1:20:39SPEAKER_01: I felt completely betrayed.
- 1:20:42SPEAKER_01: My own heart betrayed me.
- 1:20:44SPEAKER_01: I trusted you, my heart, and you betrayed me.
- 1:20:48SPEAKER_01: It's what I felt, it's what I experienced.
- 1:20:50SPEAKER_01: My heart didn't betray me.
- 1:20:52SPEAKER_01: The pain wasn't because I followed my heart.
- 1:20:55SPEAKER_01: The pain was already in there.
- 1:20:57SPEAKER_01: But because I followed my heart and I didn't get what my humanity wanted, it catapulted me to heal the pain, to embrace the pain.
- 1:21:07SPEAKER_01: As the consequence of embracing deep, dark, I can't breathe pain.
- 1:21:12SPEAKER_01: The remembering of spiritual awakening happened.
- 1:21:15SPEAKER_01: And that spiritual awakening literally happened the weekend that Princess Diana died.
- 1:21:21SPEAKER_01: And I'm sitting there, and I awaken to a new spiritual reality that says, light doesn't come into us, light goes out of us.
- 1:21:31SPEAKER_01: We are already our light.
- 1:21:34SPEAKER_01: We are already the source.
- 1:21:37SPEAKER_01: Enlightenment, light inside us.
- 1:21:40SPEAKER_01: The more enlightened we become, the more we become aware of the light, the essence, the energy, the all that is that's in us.
- 1:21:50SPEAKER_01: What is enlightenment?
- 1:21:51SPEAKER_01: Enlightenment isn't about bringing anything from the outside in.
- 1:21:54SPEAKER_01: Enlightenment is about remembering the awareness that's already inside of you, right here, right now.
- 1:22:01SPEAKER_01: In all of you, right here, right now.
- 1:22:04SPEAKER_01: You're already an enlightened being.
- 1:22:08SPEAKER_01: Some of you have.
- 1:22:09SPEAKER_01: A lot of you probably have.
- 1:22:11SPEAKER_01: It was in that process, the spiritual result.
- 1:22:14SPEAKER_01: I was never the same.
- 1:22:16SPEAKER_01: Eventually, the pain went away.
- 1:22:17SPEAKER_01: Eventually, I healed the depths of my child.
- 1:22:20SPEAKER_01: That particular human I'm still deeply close with 25 years later, literally.
- 1:22:26SPEAKER_01: And it also showed me what love is.
- 1:22:31SPEAKER_01: Love has zero to do with what you get back from another human.
- 1:22:35SPEAKER_01: Actual love has zero to do with the other human.
- 1:22:40SPEAKER_01: Nothing.
- 1:22:41SPEAKER_01: Nada.
- 1:22:42SPEAKER_01: Hear what I'm saying.
- 1:22:43SPEAKER_01: If you genuinely love somebody, you will give because you love.
- 1:22:50SPEAKER_01: Most of us give because you get back.
- 1:22:53SPEAKER_01: Most of us do because you want praise.
- 1:22:56SPEAKER_01: Most of us take action steps, label it love, and then when you don't get it in return, then you make the other person wrong.
- 1:23:02SPEAKER_01: That's why it's not love.
- 1:23:04SPEAKER_01: How do you know when it's truly love?
- 1:23:06SPEAKER_01: How do you know when the experience is truly love?
- 1:23:09SPEAKER_01: When you're willing to give it with no need for return.
- 1:23:13SPEAKER_01: Well, this particular experience, 25 years later, this person still calls me sometimes.
- 1:23:18SPEAKER_01: And I've loved her for 25 years.
- 1:23:21SPEAKER_01: Have we ever become personal partners?
- 1:23:24SPEAKER_01: Nope.
- 1:23:25SPEAKER_01: Has she had numerous, you know, natural partners over the years?
- 1:23:28SPEAKER_01: Yes, natural, just like I did.
- 1:23:30SPEAKER_01: I got married.
- 1:23:31SPEAKER_01: When I was married, did I have a different love for this person?
- 1:23:34SPEAKER_01: No.
- 1:23:35SPEAKER_01: Still the same.
- 1:23:36SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 1:23:36SPEAKER_01: Because that's what love is.
- 1:23:38SPEAKER_01: I literally learned truly what love is by not getting what I actually wanted.
- 1:23:46SPEAKER_01: Think about how bizarre that is.
- 1:23:48SPEAKER_01: Talk about an oxymoron.
- 1:23:50SPEAKER_01: It's not an oxymoron.
- 1:23:51SPEAKER_01: You're on a spiritual path, not a let's satiate my human desires.
- 1:23:58SPEAKER_01: Your spiritual path is not here to satiate your human wants and needs.
- 1:24:03SPEAKER_01: It's not.
- 1:24:03SPEAKER_01: And that's why it gets so confusing.
- 1:24:05SPEAKER_01: Because people say, well, if I'm spiritually enlightenment, then I'll get everything I want in humanity.
- 1:24:09SPEAKER_01: That's just BS.
- 1:24:10SPEAKER_01: It's not true.
- 1:24:11SPEAKER_01: You want to get everything you want in humanity?
- 1:24:14SPEAKER_01: Get as spiritually connected as you can, heal the depths of your stuff, live from a higher you, create a quality product, go sell it to the world, make a million bucks.
- 1:24:22SPEAKER_01: Great.
- 1:24:23SPEAKER_01: That's how you get what you want in your external world.
- 1:24:26SPEAKER_01: By having value and earning money from it.
- 1:24:29SPEAKER_01: That's how you get whatever you want in your external world.
- 1:24:31SPEAKER_01: Plenty of people out there that are everything they want in their external world, but they're still vacant inside.
- 1:24:36SPEAKER_01: The guy doing all the yelling has everything he wants.
- 1:24:40SPEAKER_01: Get off your backside.
- 1:24:43SPEAKER_01: The only way somebody could say that is there's no empathy, there's no compassion.
- 1:24:47SPEAKER_01: And is this person trying to harm?
- 1:24:48SPEAKER_01: No, he's trying to motivate.
- 1:24:50SPEAKER_01: But you can't motivate somebody who's buried in emotion.
- 1:24:54SPEAKER_01: You can't do it.
- 1:24:54SPEAKER_01: They can't do it.
- 1:24:56SPEAKER_01: The only thing that can help somebody who's buried in emotion is ask for strength and courage from a power greater than themselves.
- 1:25:02SPEAKER_01: Because that power that's greater than you always has the ability to give you exactly what you need to walk out of your buried.
- 1:25:10SPEAKER_01: How do I know?
- 1:25:10SPEAKER_01: I did it for years.
- 1:25:12SPEAKER_01: I still do it now.
- 1:25:14SPEAKER_01: And that process of going from following glass full voices to following your heart, a lot of you have been doing that for years.
- 1:25:24SPEAKER_01: And I want you to understand when you follow your heart and the end result causes you pain, that doesn't mean that following your heart was wrong.
- 1:25:32SPEAKER_01: It means that following your heart was helping you embrace whatever the pain you needed to embrace.
- 1:25:40SPEAKER_01: Well, that's horrible, Joe.
- 1:25:41SPEAKER_01: I know the spiritual path is not easy.
- 1:25:44SPEAKER_01: That's why I call you a warrior.
- 1:25:47SPEAKER_01: You couldn't be on this podcast if you weren't a spiritual warrior.
- 1:25:50SPEAKER_01: You're literally a spiritual warrior if you can make it, let alone 87 minutes into a podcast like this.
- 1:25:57SPEAKER_01: You're an absolute warrior.
- 1:25:59SPEAKER_01: You are.
- 1:26:00SPEAKER_01: Because it's not easy.
- 1:26:02SPEAKER_01: And it's not about satiating your humanity, it's about healing your emotional sense of self so you can remember the spiritual sense of yourself.
- 1:26:10SPEAKER_01: And then as you live as a remembered being, you're going to give to the world.
- 1:26:14SPEAKER_01: And it's in the giving to the world that you feel so much joy.
- 1:26:17SPEAKER_01: That's why I do the Wii podcast.
- 1:26:20SPEAKER_01: That's why I share these other people's stuff.
- 1:26:23SPEAKER_01: Divorce posts, and now dad's in recovery.
- 1:26:26SPEAKER_01: Hopefully, I'll have a list over time.
- 1:26:29SPEAKER_01: Why do I do it?
- 1:26:30SPEAKER_01: Because it feels good.
- 1:26:32SPEAKER_01: Period.
- 1:26:34SPEAKER_01: That's why.
- 1:26:35SPEAKER_01: Let alone it's helping people I care about.
- 1:26:38SPEAKER_01: Everybody on this podcast, I genuinely care about you.
- 1:26:42SPEAKER_01: I do.
- 1:26:42SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 1:26:43SPEAKER_01: Because you're me and I'm you.
- 1:26:45SPEAKER_01: We are no different.
- 1:26:46SPEAKER_01: I'm the guy sitting next to you at church.
- 1:26:49SPEAKER_01: I'm the guy smiling at you at the grocery store.
- 1:26:52SPEAKER_01: I'm at the Little League Park.
- 1:26:54SPEAKER_01: If you're down here in the Southeast, you saw me at a Little League Park.
- 1:26:57SPEAKER_01: I am I am you, and you are me, and I genuinely care.
- 1:27:01SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 1:27:01SPEAKER_01: Because if I can do it, you can do it.
- 1:27:03SPEAKER_01: And if I can grow out of where I came from, 99% of you are not where I came from.
- 1:27:08SPEAKER_01: Most of you never know what I'm even talking about.
- 1:27:11SPEAKER_01: But you can use the same techniques to create a grander sense of yourself.
- 1:27:15SPEAKER_01: And I want you to hear me because there's a lot of people out there right now who have been following their hearts for a long time.
- 1:27:22SPEAKER_01: And sometimes they feel like their hearts cause them pain.
- 1:27:26SPEAKER_01: Well, the pain is inside of you.
- 1:27:28SPEAKER_01: We need to help you heal the pain you find by following your heart, not make your heart wrong.
- 1:27:35SPEAKER_01: Hear what I just said.
- 1:27:37SPEAKER_01: We need to help you heal the pain that you feel sometimes because you're following your heart.
- 1:27:45SPEAKER_01: The following of your heart is not the incorrect behavior.
- 1:27:49SPEAKER_01: The following of your heart is following a grander you.
- 1:27:53SPEAKER_01: It keeps guiding you to embrace whatever the pain is you keep experiencing.
- 1:28:00SPEAKER_01: We need to help you heal the pain.
- 1:28:04SPEAKER_01: Dual hand journaling, writing out voices, getting help.
- 1:28:07SPEAKER_01: Yes, there's a whole technique.
- 1:28:10SPEAKER_01: And as you heal that pain, just like I did.
- 1:28:13SPEAKER_01: I did.
- 1:28:14SPEAKER_01: Came out the other side, completely different.
- 1:28:16SPEAKER_01: Now my world takes freaking forever.
- 1:28:17SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 1:28:18SPEAKER_01: That's probably a three-year experience, four-year experience, something like that.
- 1:28:21SPEAKER_01: I probably just covered an era of my life that's probably two and a half years long.
- 1:28:26SPEAKER_01: And 99% of that two and a half years, I'm in deep dark misery.
- 1:28:30SPEAKER_01: I'm writing my book.
- 1:28:31SPEAKER_01: Literally, this human I'm talking about, I read most of my book to her every time I'd come.
- 1:28:36SPEAKER_01: And she said, Oh my gosh, I got to go.
- 1:28:38SPEAKER_01: Johnny's home.
- 1:28:39SPEAKER_01: Johnny's come back.
- 1:28:40SPEAKER_01: She was just a normal, loving, kind female who had normal boyfriends along the way.
- 1:28:45SPEAKER_01: Every time I would hear that, knife in my heart and back into silence.
- 1:28:51SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 1:28:52SPEAKER_01: Why did it feel like a knife in my heart when another human being was with another person?
- 1:28:57SPEAKER_01: Because the knife in my heart, that pain, was my pain.
- 1:29:01SPEAKER_01: She didn't cause my pain.
- 1:29:03SPEAKER_01: My pain was my own.
- 1:29:04SPEAKER_01: And that's exactly what I would do.
- 1:29:06SPEAKER_01: I would get off the phone, I would journal, I would grieve.
- 1:29:08SPEAKER_01: And again, I wouldn't talk to anybody for a week.
- 1:29:11SPEAKER_01: But I healed my pain.
- 1:29:14SPEAKER_01: I got on the other side of my pain.
- 1:29:16SPEAKER_01: Literally, my book, Filling the Void, which was originally called Your Inner Child Has Rights To, was written during this era of time, which was when it was written.
- 1:29:26SPEAKER_01: And you'll see when you read it, the truth is where I was deep, dark misery, pain 99% of the time.
- 1:29:34SPEAKER_01: When you read it, it's not going to sound like that.
- 1:29:36SPEAKER_01: That's how I know it was channeled.
- 1:29:38SPEAKER_01: It was not Joe doing it, it was God doing it through Joe.
- 1:29:41SPEAKER_01: And all of you get to benefit.
- 1:29:43SPEAKER_01: God did it through me, so all of you could hear my story and see yourself in my story.
- 1:29:49SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 1:29:50SPEAKER_01: And all a lot of you have books in you.
- 1:29:52SPEAKER_01: A lot of you are being guided to write a book.
- 1:29:56SPEAKER_01: You are.
- 1:29:57SPEAKER_01: A lot of you are being guided to start a podcast.
- 1:30:00SPEAKER_01: You are.
- 1:30:01SPEAKER_01: Well, as I find different places where I can point you to get people that'll help you, I'm going to.
- 1:30:07SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 1:30:07SPEAKER_01: How am I going to reach 100 million people?
- 1:30:09SPEAKER_01: I can't do it all by myself, even though this podcast will reach them.
- 1:30:13SPEAKER_01: Because all of you are also going to be reaching out and creating a oneness in your community, a weeness in your community, a communion in your community.
- 1:30:26SPEAKER_01: Your higher power is going to go out and connect with people around you.
- 1:30:30SPEAKER_01: And you're going to show people by your actions, by your beliefs, how you give back, how you share, how you connect, how it's like to live as a higher you.
- 1:30:39SPEAKER_01: And then you're going to help people do the same thing.
- 1:30:42SPEAKER_01: That's how collectively we make a difference.
- 1:30:44SPEAKER_01: That's how collectively we heal the world, literally.
- 1:30:47SPEAKER_01: And that's not metaphoric, that's factual.
- 1:30:50SPEAKER_01: And how do I know it's working?
- 1:30:53SPEAKER_01: The Netherlands just came on as a top-ranked podcast.
- 1:30:57SPEAKER_01: Mexico just came on as top-ranked episodes.
- 1:30:59SPEAKER_01: I had the guy, the podcaster, say, I told him we were in Mexico.
- 1:31:02SPEAKER_01: He says, Do you have your thing translated?
- 1:31:04SPEAKER_01: I said, No, I don't even know how to do that.
- 1:31:07SPEAKER_01: He says, That's unbelievable.
- 1:31:09SPEAKER_01: He says, I've never heard that, Joe.
- 1:31:11SPEAKER_01: He says, I've never heard of a podcast reaching top rankings in a category in a country that the primary language isn't English.
- 1:31:20SPEAKER_01: Well, in Mexico, the primary language is Spanish.
- 1:31:24SPEAKER_01: I was going to say it's Mexican.
- 1:31:25SPEAKER_01: I don't know what it's called, but it's not English.
- 1:31:27SPEAKER_01: He says, I've never heard that.
- 1:31:29SPEAKER_01: I get it.
- 1:31:30SPEAKER_01: It's not Joe doing it.
- 1:31:31SPEAKER_01: So there are plenty of English-speaking people in Mexico listening to the We podcast.
- 1:31:36SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 1:31:37SPEAKER_01: Because it doesn't matter where you are on the planet.
- 1:31:39SPEAKER_01: Got people in Vietnam, got people in South Korea, people in Saudi Arabia.
- 1:31:43SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 1:31:44SPEAKER_01: Because we're all part of humanity, and humanity is waking up.
- 1:31:48SPEAKER_01: And each one of you, as the part of you connecting here, as the part of you that's feeling it, as the part of you is connecting and saying and feeling what I'm talking about.
- 1:31:59SPEAKER_01: And it's time for you to take action out in your world.
- 1:32:03SPEAKER_01: That's how collectively we change the world.
- 1:32:06SPEAKER_01: And together, folks, we're doing it.
- 1:32:08SPEAKER_01: Together, we're making a difference.
- 1:32:10SPEAKER_01: Together, the we community is literally changing the world one smile at a time.
- 1:32:17SPEAKER_01: And from around the world, I really want to welcome you to We.
- 1:32:28SPEAKER_00: So that's it for today's episode of the We Podcast.
