Najah: People are gonna believe whatever they wanna believe. It don't matter if it's reality or something they made up in their own mind. If believing it feels better than accepting the truth, That's what they're gonna go with. Maybe that belief was inherited. Maybe it was learned. Maybe they went through enough in life that they feel like they earned the right to believe it. But either way, that belief belongs to them. And you can explain yourself. Bring receipts. Lay the truth right in front of their face. Yet and still they gon choose the version that feels best to them. So at some point you gotta let people go with what they go with. You could try to understand why they see it that way. But stop exhausting yourself trying to change the mind of somebody who is committed to their version. Life should have taught you by now that people don't always believe in what's true. Sometimes people just believe in whatever version they can live with.
