- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello. Welcome to the
- 0:16Speaker 1: Naughty But Nice Show. I'm your host, Rob Shooter. It's
- 0:19Speaker 1: Monday morning. Garrett is off today, but don't worry, naughties.
- 0:22Speaker 1: We have a ton of gossip news, celebrity dish to
- 0:26Speaker 1: get to. So let's jump right into the show. What
- 0:29Speaker 1: time is it, my friends? It is... Tea time. Are
- 0:32Speaker 1: you singing along? I hope so. Big story at the
- 0:35Speaker 1: top of the show, both inspiring and very, very sad.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Chad Lowe, his wife and his daughters, made their first
- 0:44Speaker 1: public appearance since Fiona's tragic death. Chad and his family
- 0:50Speaker 1: stepped out publicly for the first time since the devastating
- 0:55Speaker 1: death of their 13-year-old daughter, Fiona. The actor, who is
- 1:00Speaker 1: now 58, he attended his nephew Matthew Lowe's wedding to
- 1:05Speaker 1: Emily Marcus in Santa Barbara, along with his wife Kim
- 1:10Speaker 1: and his daughters Mabel, who is 17, and Nixie, who
- 1:14Speaker 1: is 10. The emotional family gathering came less than two
- 1:20Speaker 1: weeks after Fiona died by suicide on September 29th. Gwyneth
- 1:27Speaker 1: Paltrow officiated the star-studded ceremony. It was attended by Cameron Diaz,
- 1:33Speaker 1: Katy Perry, Chris Pratt. The Lowe family previously described Fiona as, quote,
- 1:40Speaker 1: the light of their lives, calling her loss absolutely devastating. Now,
- 1:47Speaker 1: Matthew Lowe is the son of Rob Lowe, and so
- 1:51Speaker 1: I am told exclusively... that there were a lot of discussions.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Can you imagine? This wedding was happening in just two weeks.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Fiona passed away. Fiona is no longer with us. And
- 2:06Speaker 1: I'm told this wedding was nearly postponed. And the family, Matthew,
- 2:11Speaker 1: Rob Lowe, went to Chad and asked him and his
- 2:15Speaker 1: wife and their daughters what they wanted. And Chad said,
- 2:20Speaker 1: go ahead with this wedding. It has been planned. The
- 2:25Speaker 1: family needs to be together. The family needs something, some hope,
- 2:31Speaker 1: in these darkest, darkest hours. And that's why this wedding happened.
- 2:36Speaker 1: It is a very, very difficult choice, isn't it? I
- 2:40Speaker 1: can't imagine just two weeks, less than two weeks, after
- 2:44Speaker 1: Fiona's death by suicide, Chad, his wife, his two daughters...
- 2:50Speaker 1: They got dressed up and they went to the wedding
- 2:54Speaker 1: of Matthew, Chad's beloved nephew. This family is so close.
- 2:59Speaker 1: I reported first that after the death, it was Rob Lowe.
- 3:04Speaker 1: It was Rob who rushed to the side of his
- 3:06Speaker 1: brother and his family. They have been together ever since,
- 3:11Speaker 1: but on the schedule. And they all knew it. The
- 3:14Speaker 1: invites had gone out. It was all planned. The venue
- 3:17Speaker 1: was booked. The dress was bought. The cake was baked.
- 3:21Speaker 1: They all knew in less than two weeks there was
- 3:25Speaker 1: a wedding. One of the most beautiful, one of the
- 3:28Speaker 1: most profound moments of any family's life. This was a
- 3:32Speaker 1: day of love, of celebration. And could they do this?
- 3:37Speaker 1: Should they do this after such a tragedy? I'm told
- 3:42Speaker 1: there was a lot of discussions. And Rob and Matthew
- 3:46Speaker 1: and his wife 2B Emily all agreed that we will
- 3:50Speaker 1: postpone this. We will postpone it. Chad, if you want
- 3:56Speaker 1: us to go ahead with this wedding, but you can't attend,
- 3:59Speaker 1: you and your wife and your daughters can't attend, that's
- 4:03Speaker 1: fine too. They gave him the driver's seat. They said
- 4:09Speaker 1: to him and his family, whatever you want here is
- 4:12Speaker 1: what we will do. And Chad and his wife and
- 4:15Speaker 1: their children decided they had to do this. They wanted
- 4:19Speaker 1: to go ahead with it. I'm told at the wedding
- 4:22Speaker 1: that it was very tricky. If you're Cameron Diaz and
- 4:26Speaker 1: Katy Perry, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Pratt, there's a lot of
- 4:29Speaker 1: stars in that room. However, everybody's thoughts were with Chad,
- 4:36Speaker 1: with Chad and his wife and his two daughters. I'm
- 4:40Speaker 1: told there was a beautiful part of the day where
- 4:44Speaker 1: they celebrated Fiona. I don't want to get into too
- 4:48Speaker 1: much of the details because a lot of this they
- 4:50Speaker 1: want to keep private, but she was there in spirit.
- 4:54Speaker 1: She wasn't ignored. It wasn't glossed over. You know how
- 4:57Speaker 1: some families, mine, are very good at doing this, just
- 5:00Speaker 1: pretending nothing happened. Everything's great. Nothing happened. Listen, two weeks ago,
- 5:05Speaker 1: a beloved member of our family didn't die. We're just
- 5:09Speaker 1: going to carry on. No, they did not do that.
- 5:12Speaker 1: They acknowledged what was going on. And I think that's
- 5:14Speaker 1: a real lesson in life. When you can acknowledge the
- 5:19Speaker 1: elephant in the room, then you can move with it.
- 5:23Speaker 1: You can't move past it. You can't move beyond it.
- 5:26Speaker 1: It's always going to be there. And that's what they did.
- 5:30Speaker 1: This family is based on love, caring, religion, feelings. They
- 5:37Speaker 1: have turned to God. They have turned to each other.
- 5:40Speaker 1: And that's how they are getting through this. So today
- 5:43Speaker 1: you might hear some pushback. There's photographs. We're not going
- 5:47Speaker 1: to run them, but there's photographs. The wedding was outdoors.
- 5:50Speaker 1: That was another discussion. Should they move the wedding indoors
- 5:54Speaker 1: so that they have more privacy? Should this become locked
- 5:57Speaker 1: down like it's a Taylor Swift wedding at Madison Square
- 6:00Speaker 1: Garden where we've still not seen any photographs? And they
- 6:03Speaker 1: said no. They wanted an outdoor wedding. Santa Barbara It's
- 6:08Speaker 1: one of the most beautiful places in the world. I'm
- 6:11Speaker 1: lucky enough to have been there a couple of times,
- 6:13Speaker 1: of all things, for a dog show. They have a
- 6:15Speaker 1: very fabulous dog show there every year. And it is
- 6:18Speaker 1: just magnificent. And so it was outside. The lawn was green.
- 6:23Speaker 1: There was chairs set up for everybody to sit and
- 6:28Speaker 1: watch and celebrate and love. And that's where the wedding happened.
- 6:31Speaker 1: took place, Gwyneth Paltrow officiated it. There were smiles, but
- 6:36Speaker 1: there was also tears. But it felt right. It felt
- 6:40Speaker 1: right to me. It felt right to them. And that's
- 6:43Speaker 1: the most important thing. But did it feel right to you, noughties?
- 6:47Speaker 1: That's our poll question of the day. Chad Lowe, his
- 6:50Speaker 1: wife and his daughters, made their first public appearance since
- 6:54Speaker 1: Fiona's tragic death. Could you have attended your nephew's wedding
- 6:59Speaker 1: so soon? It's less than 14 days. Could you get
- 7:04Speaker 1: dressed up? Could you put on a suit? Could you
- 7:07Speaker 1: put on a pretty dress? Could you get in the car?
- 7:10Speaker 1: Could you drive to a wedding where you know everybody's
- 7:14Speaker 1: going to be whispering? Everyone's going to be looking. That
- 7:17Speaker 1: is human nature. That's not cruel. That is what happens.
- 7:22Speaker 1: They did it. Could you have done it? That's our
- 7:25Speaker 1: poll question. of the day go vote on our x
- 7:28Speaker 1: page our twitter page at naughty nice romp our facebook
- 7:32Speaker 1: page is naughty gossip and be sure to check back
- 7:36Speaker 1: tomorrow to hear your results okay this story blew up
- 7:39Speaker 1: over the weekend and now we have an update so
- 7:42Speaker 1: kelly clarkson blasted a brooklyn store for quote treating her
- 7:47Speaker 1: like julia roberts in pretty woman i still love that
- 7:50Speaker 1: movie So Kelly Clarkson is furious after claiming a Brooklyn boutique,
- 7:56Speaker 1: a little teeny tiny boutique in Brooklyn, a beautiful little store.
- 7:59Speaker 1: I've never been to it, but now the whole world
- 8:01Speaker 1: knows about it. Treated her like she couldn't afford its merchandise.
- 8:05Speaker 1: The singer, who's 44, blasted the store is called Art
- 8:09Speaker 1: of Play. After. Driving across town to shop for specialty gifts,
- 8:14Speaker 1: they do very unusual, very unique things, Clarkson alleged that
- 8:19Speaker 1: an employee looked her up and down and only offered
- 8:22Speaker 1: her the cheap alternatives. And Kelly said, wow, dude, you're
- 8:27Speaker 1: an idiot. You just lost a huge sale. She wrote
- 8:31Speaker 1: that on X. She compared her experience to Julia Roberts'
- 8:35Speaker 1: humiliating shopping scene. in Pretty Woman. Now, fans were quick
- 8:40Speaker 1: to flood the store, both online and in person. The
- 8:44Speaker 1: store has now fired back, saying they have a very
- 8:48Speaker 1: different story to tell. They claim that Kelly wanted to
- 8:52Speaker 1: purchase Molly, a singing and dancing bird permanently attached to
- 8:57Speaker 1: the wall of the shop that is not for sale.
- 9:00Speaker 1: It's one of the unique things about the shop. The
- 9:02Speaker 1: whole experience, apparently, of going there, I have friends, I
- 9:04Speaker 1: hit the phones, Some of my friends have been there.
- 9:07Speaker 1: It's a really magical, wonderful little store. But not everything
- 9:10Speaker 1: is for sale. A lot of stuff is to get
- 9:12Speaker 1: people in to look. So they have this singing and
- 9:13Speaker 1: dancing bird called Molly, apparently adorable. Molly is not for sale.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Then the small business complained about being attacked by millions
- 9:22Speaker 1: of fans, over 8 million. Twitter followers, social media followers, ex-followers,
- 9:28Speaker 1: people who were unfamiliar with the shop. And so they
- 9:31Speaker 1: did repost a glowing review of a different customer praising
- 9:35Speaker 1: their employees. And their final, final swipe, the store quoted
- 9:40Speaker 1: a Kelly Clarkson lyric saying, what doesn't kill you makes
- 9:44Speaker 1: you stronger. This is a tricky one. Whose side are
- 9:48Speaker 1: you on? Initially, I was all about Kelly. I've been
- 9:52Speaker 1: into stores where people can be quite rude. I leave.
- 9:55Speaker 1: If you don't want my business, I'll go somewhere else.
- 9:59Speaker 1: So Kelly, I thought... wow, how awful to turn up
- 10:03Speaker 1: and to be treated as if you can't afford the
- 10:06Speaker 1: posh stuff, the nice stuff in the store. So I
- 10:09Speaker 1: was all team Kelly. And I'm also a big believer
- 10:12Speaker 1: in consequences. It doesn't have to be cancel culture, but
- 10:16Speaker 1: it does need to be consequences so when somebody disbehaves
- 10:21Speaker 1: do you tweet about them do you say anything do
- 10:23Speaker 1: you go public now kelly has a massive microphone and
- 10:26Speaker 1: so she needs to be careful with that that is
- 10:28Speaker 1: eight million army of fans that she can unleash and
- 10:32Speaker 1: this was just a small business and they said they
- 10:34Speaker 1: didn't do anything wrong and now the business is really
- 10:37Speaker 1: really coloring in the picture for us and it looks
- 10:40Speaker 1: a little bit different now doesn't it i must admit
- 10:43Speaker 1: my friends who have been to the stores told me
- 10:46Speaker 1: it's charming They're really nice. These are just people, many
- 10:50Speaker 1: earning a minimal wage, not the owners, but the staff
- 10:52Speaker 1: in the store, and trying to have a good day,
- 10:55Speaker 1: trying to sell some stuff, trying to make a little money,
- 10:58Speaker 1: trying to put food on the table. These are regular people.
- 11:00Speaker 1: They don't live like Kelly Clarkson. They're not multimillionaires, and
- 11:04Speaker 1: they don't have Twitter accounts, ex-accounts with millions of followers. No.
- 11:08Speaker 1: The store itself, it's not a massive store. It's not Target.
- 11:11Speaker 1: It's not Bloomingdale's. This is just a little local store.
- 11:15Speaker 1: And now Kelly... put them on blast. And the consequences
- 11:19Speaker 1: now of her behaviour is something we have to think about.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Where do you fall on this? Are they both in
- 11:25Speaker 1: the wrong? Could the store have been a little bit
- 11:28Speaker 1: nicer and explained to Kelly? Molly is a feature of
- 11:32Speaker 1: this store. Molly's a member of this store family. She
- 11:35Speaker 1: is not for sale. This singing and dancing bird is ours.
- 11:40Speaker 1: It's not for sale. And I think if they had
- 11:43Speaker 1: explained that, I can't imagine Kelly, who's a really good person,
- 11:47Speaker 1: by the way. I've met her several times. I can't
- 11:49Speaker 1: imagine her kicking up a fuss. So something more happened here.
- 11:53Speaker 1: To get Kelly Clarkson that upset, if it was J-Lo
- 11:56Speaker 1: or if it was Barbara Streisand, if it was somebody
- 11:58Speaker 1: that flew off the handle quickly, then I get it.
- 12:01Speaker 1: But Kelly doesn't. Kelly's a very, very put-together, very level-headed celebrity.
- 12:08Speaker 1: And so something more happened here, and I wish Kelly
- 12:11Speaker 1: would tell us. Or maybe it's best to just let
- 12:13Speaker 1: this go. I do now know that there are police officers.
- 12:16Speaker 1: outside this store because of threats well that's too much
- 12:20Speaker 1: isn't it but where do you fall on this initially
- 12:22Speaker 1: i was team kelly but as more and more information
- 12:26Speaker 1: has come out and congratulations i have to give credit
- 12:29Speaker 1: here to the courage of the store some owners would
- 12:31Speaker 1: say let's close the doors let's say nothing let's hide
- 12:34Speaker 1: our head in the sand they responded saying no kelly's
- 12:36Speaker 1: welcome here and what she wanted to buy wasn't for
- 12:39Speaker 1: sale but coming back and we're happy happy to serve you.
- 12:42Speaker 1: What do you think? Whose side are you on? Okay,
- 12:45Speaker 1: moving along, we finally know why Meghan Markle met with
- 12:48Speaker 1: Malala in London. Remember we saw them together, the Nobel
- 12:52Speaker 1: Prize winner and Meghan having a mysterious tea at Claridge's
- 12:56Speaker 1: in London. I've had high tea there. I once worked
- 12:59Speaker 1: with Paris Hilton and Paris had a movie out and
- 13:02Speaker 1: I had to fly to London with her for the
- 13:04Speaker 1: movie premiere and all the press junkets. It was great.
- 13:06Speaker 1: They put us up at Claridge's. She had this magnificent suite.
- 13:09Speaker 1: It was a living room and a bedroom and And
- 13:12Speaker 1: it was all light bathroom and a little kitchen. Dining
- 13:14Speaker 1: area was magnificent. I just had a regular suite, regular room,
- 13:17Speaker 1: not a suite. But it was fantastic. A bodyguard was there.
- 13:20Speaker 1: It was a really great time. And the hotel is magnificent.
- 13:24Speaker 1: And we were not paying for it. I can't afford
- 13:26Speaker 1: to stay there. So we also pushed our luck a
- 13:30Speaker 1: little bit. When you travel for work, they do buy
- 13:33Speaker 1: your meals. So I had all my meals at Claridge's
- 13:35Speaker 1: because they were just so delicious. I did have high
- 13:39Speaker 1: tea there. I did have high tea with Paris. At Claritin's,
- 13:42Speaker 1: it was £ 90 each. So you get a pot of tea,
- 13:46Speaker 1: you get some cute cucumber sandwiches, little teeny tiny sandwiches,
- 13:50Speaker 1: no crust on them, and you get little teeny tiny desserts,
- 13:53Speaker 1: like about four or five little teeny tiny cakes that
- 13:55Speaker 1: you can just pop in your mouth and eat them
- 13:57Speaker 1: in one bite. It's really, really expensive. So is this
- 14:00Speaker 1: the right place for this Nobel Prize winner and Meghan
- 14:03Speaker 1: Markle to meet just days before announcing they have a
- 14:07Speaker 1: charitable partnership? with her As Ever Lifestyle brand and the
- 14:12Speaker 1: Malala Fund. So for International Girls Day, Meghan has pledged 100%
- 14:18Speaker 1: of the net proceeds from her jams to support the
- 14:22Speaker 1: Girls Education Fund, the Malala Fund. This was announced just
- 14:27Speaker 1: after their meeting at the luxurious hotel Claridge's. I don't
- 14:31Speaker 1: know if this is a good look. I'm glad that
- 14:33Speaker 1: she's doing this. Only one day, I would argue, they
- 14:36Speaker 1: probably spent, whoever picked up the cheque, probably spent more
- 14:40Speaker 1: money on two pots of tea and little sandwiches than
- 14:43Speaker 1: they're going to raise on Megan's jam. Oh, Megan, everything
- 14:49Speaker 1: they do, even if there's good intentions behind it, everything
- 14:54Speaker 1: they do, everything that they do, it just falls apart. OK,
- 14:59Speaker 1: hopefully we're not going to fall apart right now. We're
- 15:01Speaker 1: going to take a little break and we will be
- 15:04Speaker 1: right back. Welcome back to the Naughty But Nice Show.
- 15:09Speaker 1: I'm your host, Rob Shooter. Hey, let's get to the polls.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Last show we talked about ex-Prince Andrew. We always have
- 15:17Speaker 1: to remind that. My entire life growing up in Britain too,
- 15:20Speaker 1: I was born there. And so my entire life he
- 15:23Speaker 1: was Prince Andrew. So it's quite an adjustment calling him
- 15:25Speaker 1: the ex-Prince Andrew. He has scored a major legal victory
- 15:29Speaker 1: as the courts say that the raids on his home
- 15:32Speaker 1: were unlawful. Our question was quite simple. Will he get
- 15:35Speaker 1: his title back? Do you think he'll get his title?
- 15:37Speaker 1: He wants his Prince title back. Let's have a look. Ooh, 70%
- 15:42Speaker 1: said no. I agree with you, Noughties. He shouldn't get
- 15:46Speaker 1: this title back. And it was a technicality. It was
- 15:49Speaker 1: a mistake by the police. Very embarrassing. Shouldn't have happened.
- 15:53Speaker 1: But the evidence is still the evidence. The facts are
- 15:56Speaker 1: still the facts. And the case is still ongoing. Hey,
- 15:59Speaker 1: don't forget to vote. On today's poll, go to our
- 16:02Speaker 1: X page, our Twitter page, our Facebook page, and be
- 16:07Speaker 1: sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results. And
- 16:10Speaker 1: now it's time for our nicest of the day. Our
- 16:17Speaker 1: nicest of the day is Michael Douglas, who at 82
- 16:19Speaker 1: is embracing his, quote, lazy era of golf travel and
- 16:23Speaker 1: family coming first. So he's officially trading his Hollywood ambition
- 16:27Speaker 1: for the golf clubs around the world with his family.
- 16:30Speaker 1: The Oscar winner told Page Six that he is happily
- 16:33Speaker 1: embracing his lazy era after decades of chasing success. He said, quote, basically,
- 16:40Speaker 1: my values have changed from Korea probably being the most
- 16:43Speaker 1: important thing to my family and community. He hopes to travel,
- 16:47Speaker 1: improve his golf. It is just beautiful. You know, in
- 16:52Speaker 1: a world where we're always encouraged to hurry up, move faster,
- 16:57Speaker 1: get going, sometimes, often, maybe always, it's good to slow down.
- 17:03Speaker 1: When I get too much, I slow down. When my
- 17:06Speaker 1: life is spinning out of control, I slow down. When
- 17:09Speaker 1: it's getting too loud, I remain quiet. And I think
- 17:12Speaker 1: it is such a skill that we have to learn
- 17:14Speaker 1: because we are not taught this naturally. We're taught to
- 17:16Speaker 1: go faster, faster, faster. Work harder, harder, harder. The more
- 17:19Speaker 1: you work, the more you will get. sometimes, often, maybe always,
- 17:25Speaker 1: instead of speeding up, slow down. There is no shame
- 17:28Speaker 1: in it, and it is not, not lazy. Okay, now
- 17:32Speaker 1: our naughtiest of the day, naughty, naughty, naughty, our naughtiest
- 17:34Speaker 1: of the day is Prince Harry and Prince William. Their
- 17:37Speaker 1: bitter feud was exposed in a brutal sketch on the
- 17:40Speaker 1: UK version of Saturday Night Live. So Saturday Night Live,
- 17:43Speaker 1: an American institution, has launched in Britain. It's doing okay,
- 17:46Speaker 1: not great. The Brits find it sort of funny. They
- 17:48Speaker 1: do have a long history of these satire shows. So
- 17:51Speaker 1: the opening of Saturday night was William and Harry. Now,
- 17:55Speaker 1: the reason this is so difficult is that these two
- 17:58Speaker 1: have now become a public joke. When you turn up
- 18:01Speaker 1: on SNL, whether it's in America or the UK, it's
- 18:05Speaker 1: a cultural moment. And a family drama, a really sad
- 18:08Speaker 1: family drama, has now turned into a national, national joke.
- 18:14Speaker 1: I'm going to have more about this today on our
- 18:16Speaker 1: new YouTube show. It's called The Naughty But Nice Show.
- 18:19Speaker 1: It's on YouTube. Naughty Rob Shooter's Gossip. Rob Shooter's Gossip.
- 18:23Speaker 1: You can follow me on Rob Shooter's Gossip. We have
- 18:25Speaker 1: about 30,000, 35,000 followers. We've only been doing it about
- 18:29Speaker 1: a week. So I'm thrilled with those numbers. I'm thrilled
- 18:32Speaker 1: with the response. So I love you listening to the podcast.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Keep listening to the audio, the podcast. Please, please, please.
- 18:38Speaker 1: I do appreciate it. But if you want a visual
- 18:40Speaker 1: of me too, there is now a YouTube show. Some
- 18:43Speaker 1: of the stories overlap, but there's lots of different content
- 18:46Speaker 1: on both. So check them both out. Now let's have
- 18:51Speaker 1: a moment of rub. Gosh, are you sick of me yet?
- 18:55Speaker 1: You get a rub, you get a rub, you get
- 18:56Speaker 1: a rub. Happier is a choice. Happiness isn't something that
- 19:00Speaker 1: happens to you. It's something that you choose. Every morning,
- 19:05Speaker 1: you get another chance to decide whether Will you face
- 19:09Speaker 1: the world with a smile on your face? You cannot
- 19:13Speaker 1: control everything that happens and people will disappoint you and
- 19:16Speaker 1: plans will fall apart and life will sometimes feel unfair.
- 19:20Speaker 1: It is. But you choose gratitude. You can choose gratitude
- 19:26Speaker 1: over resentment. You can choose kindness over anger and hope
- 19:30Speaker 1: over fear. Being happier doesn't mean pretending everything is wonderful
- 19:37Speaker 1: It means refusing to let the difficult moments steal away
