Speaker1: particular personal passion of mine. So, um, looking at astrological forecasts

Speaker1: of, uh, writing things down really and organizing them into a more, um,

Speaker1: digestible format, you know, putting a little bit more explanation behind things

Speaker1: to be there anyway, more or less, unless, you know, unless I got the flu and I was really down.

Speaker0: I mean, your readings are just not just made up stuff.

Speaker0: I mean, you are really pulling tarot cards and you are doing horoscopes based

Speaker0: on whatever it is you, all the astrology and all that you put into it. So yeah, what you're,

Speaker0: You put your effort into it and it's not done sloppily or anything like that.

Speaker1: Yes. Yes. I do my best to offer authentic and as accurate as possible predictions. That is the whole goal.

Speaker1: writer um so i'm a librarian at heart as as well as an oracle so there

Speaker0: You go and that and that's good and that's what i think people should understand

Speaker0: it's like again it's anybody can really pick up the tarot uh and you know have

Speaker0: your own way of deciphering it i did it myself but when When you have much more

Speaker0: knowledge and the more knowledge you get, the better it becomes.

Speaker0: And you link a lot of that with astrology and numerology and birth signs and birth charts.

Speaker0: So it's not just a tarot reading. It's a very, very deep reading.

Speaker0: And like I said, even with your podcast, they're just general readings,

Speaker0: What I wanted to bring up to you, being that you are doing tarot reading and

Speaker0: all that, I know I mentioned it to you once before locally to me in one of our local towns.

Speaker0: There was a little metaphysical shop, and they were doing tarot card readings too as well.

Speaker0: And just out of the blue one day, a chief of police of the town came knocking on the door in there,

Speaker0: walked in and said hey do you know what you're doing is illegal based

Speaker0: upon some you know archaic laws

Speaker0: from way back in the 1700s probably that said that you cannot do tarot readings

Speaker0: because it's uh you know some sort you know how did it i'm sorry i'm losing

Speaker0: my train of thought for that for the wording but they were basically in a tarot

Speaker0: card reading because any type of uh,

Speaker0: metaphysical or any type of, what's the word, looking into the future here?

Speaker0: Yeah, forecasting. Forecasting. It's illegal. You can't do forecasting.

Speaker0: It has to be entertainment only.

Speaker0: Right. And it kind of bothered me because, for one, that's not the job of the

Speaker0: chief of police to just randomly walk into any business and tell them how to do their business.

Speaker0: And it kind of bothered me, too. I said, wow, you know, I don't mind doing tarot

Speaker0: reading myself. And if I decide to say, hey, I wanted to charge somebody for

Speaker0: what should be the big deal over that?

Speaker0: Well, this here shop didn't take it laying down.

Speaker0: She stood up to it and I don't know what's going on. I haven't heard any further

Speaker0: yet, but she decided, hey, we're suing.

Speaker0: But instead of suing for money, what we're going to do is we're just going to

Speaker0: sue to get this law removed from the books.

Speaker0: And I said bravo and I hope that works,

Speaker0: In this day and age right now This anti-witch This anti-forecasting It affects

Speaker0: us Us in a spiritual community Us in a metaphysical community Have you ever experienced anything?

Speaker0: I mean I know laws change from state to state But where you are And do they

Speaker0: require you to the entertainment purposes only on yours?

Speaker1: You know, personally, I've never actually run into any such trouble.

Speaker1: Part of that might be that rather like some supernatural entity,

Speaker1: I only tend to go where I'm invited in the first place.

Speaker1: So trouble doesn't tend to be there for me whenever you go to summer festivals

Speaker1: and things like that where you've paid vendor fees and whatnot and it's understood what you're doing.

Speaker1: And the atmosphere that you're going to be in. I've never really been messed with there.

Speaker1: Now I have read about that story that you're referring to in Pennsylvania.

Speaker1: And I agree with you, that was really fishy.

Speaker1: I don't like any of the details of that story because as far as I could tell,

Speaker1: and I remember doing a little bit of Google investigating into that story at the time.

Speaker1: I don't remember all of the specific details that I came up with out of it,

Speaker1: But it didn't seem like there was any particular stink around that practitioner

Speaker1: or her business, that she was running a typical metaphysical spiritual botanica type shop,

Speaker1: and there was no scandal around it.

Speaker1: So I don't see what could have motivated them, the law enforcement,

Speaker1: that is, to want to make that intimidating visit to a woman who wasn't really
12:50
Speaker1: doing anything to impose upon her community.

Speaker1: But um i do know you know good bad

Speaker1: and all things that's one deeply held belief of

Speaker1: mine there's good and bad in all things here in indiana

Speaker1: we have some similar zombie laws um again i don't know that i could properly

Speaker1: quote them off the top of my head but i do know that in vigo county i believe

Speaker1: there was a case a few years back it was very sad there was a psychic shop that um

Speaker1: Got in a good deal of trouble because they were manipulating this grieving woman

Speaker1: into believing that her deceased loved one,

Speaker1: I forget the specifics of it, but basically this psychic was taking this poor
13:38
Speaker1: woman for all she was worth,

Speaker1: tens of thousands of dollars for fancy crystals that were supposed to ward off

Speaker1: terminal cancer and threatening her health and everything.

Speaker1: And it really was a terrible situation.

Speaker1: And, um, I think that they did kind of revive one of those old zombie laws about

Speaker1: fortune telling and forecasting to prosecute a person who was essentially committing

Speaker1: spiritual fraud, which is despicable.

Speaker1: Um, it's just that I, I rather agree with the shop owner in Pennsylvania.

Speaker1: That law should at least be amended to,

Speaker1: You know focus more on the fraud aspect of

Speaker1: whenever these practitioners or charlatans

Speaker1: you know fake psychics are using those kind of tactics to obviously scam people

Speaker1: with you know two thousand dollar moldavite crystals that that ward off demons

Speaker1: or whatever silliness like Maybe that should be a law or a protection,

Speaker1: a regulation that's in place.

Speaker1: But yeah, I mean, naturally, I have a big problem with anything that restricts

Speaker1: spiritual practice under the guise of law. That's...

Speaker0: Yeah, especially for us, because it turns out that you can practice any religion

Speaker0: openly and there's never a problem with it. You could go to a church and nobody questions anything.

Speaker0: But when it comes to a metaphysical, spiritual sense, we're in the same boat

Speaker0: as far as religion. It's just the way we see things. It's all.

Speaker0: But laws are on the books, too, for reasons like that.

Speaker0: But again, it all falls under a more general sense of, like you said,

Speaker0: of fraud or scams or whatever.

Speaker0: Because the same people walk around trying to, you know, sell home improvements

Speaker0: to the elderly and take them for every single, you know, dime,

Speaker0: that doesn't mean home improvement now should be made illegal.

Speaker0: And so that's what I see.

Speaker0: And like I said, there's a way, if there was an actual complaint,

Speaker0: I understand, but for somebody to waste taxpayers'

Speaker0: dollars by going into, you know, a shop on their own accord and just using an

Speaker0: intimidation factor on that, that's where I have the problem.

Speaker0: That's why, yeah, it doesn't seem right for people that are just making a simple

Speaker0: living and the people that are their customers are actually coming to them for that service.

Speaker0: So there should be no issues with it. In my book, I don't know.

Speaker0: I'm not an attorney, but hopefully the law gets changed to stop the intimidation at the very least.

Speaker1: Oh, yeah. Yeah. In that particular situation, it is despicable,

Speaker1: I mean, she was in her own business and she wasn't, unlike that situation that

Speaker1: I cited out of Indiana several years ago.

Speaker1: So there, I couldn't find any similar scandal or stink where she was,

Speaker1: you know, obviously ripping off vulnerable people.

Speaker1: And I can understand that. I

Speaker1: can also understand that I think here in Indiana, you know, if I were to,

Speaker1: take my, my tent to some, you know, public park or, um, some downtown area and

Speaker1: just pop up my tent and offer tarot readings, there would probably be some sort

Speaker1: of an issue with that. Right.

Speaker0: Yeah. Where is your tax dollar, you know, where's our taxes, where's our cut of this?

Speaker1: I'm sure there's some coffee shop that would be happy to let me pay them or

Speaker1: something like that, if that was something I was looking to do, but.

Speaker0: Right. Yeah. And that will work. That'd be nice. I got to come visit you actually.

Speaker0: You just reminded me, I got to do it one day.

Speaker1: Oh, I would love that. Or I'll come visit you one of these days.

Speaker0: Yeah. Well, once things change and settle down, who knows?

Speaker0: While we're on that topic too now of, you know, whether it just be,

Speaker0: and I'm referring strictly to you as far as your senses, your abilities and all that.

Speaker0: And does, when it comes to your readings, tarot reading or even horoscopes,

Speaker0: is there any sort of psychic sense with that?

Speaker0: Or is this just what you feel is just what's coming to you?

Speaker0: Or do you feel like you can actually see things or events that...

Speaker1: Well, you know, really, you just described it right there is that it is my primary

Speaker1: abilities lie with clairsentience, which is psychic knowing and clairaudience,

Speaker1: which is psychic hearing.

Speaker1: Sounds like hearing voices, but not in like the delusional hallucinatory sense.

Speaker1: I know that they are not in the room with me as we say.

Speaker1: But yes, I hear spirit chatter. I channel that.

Speaker1: And, you know, occasionally whenever the connection is really,

Speaker1: really good, I'll see images.

Speaker1: However, the clairvoyant factor isn't necessarily the strongest.

Speaker1: So it's not like I have these visions, very specific things.

Speaker1: But I have been known to identify that from that thing that was missing,

Speaker1: I have a really strong sense that it's in that that area and then or something

Speaker1: of that nature um that's that's clairsentience you know automatic or psychic knowing

Speaker0: And i always enjoy asking that question because i'm always fascinated by people's

Speaker0: gifts it's you know everybody has them you know a lot of people either just

Speaker0: don't know that they exist or

Speaker0: some people are scared of them or whatever the case may be And I always,

Speaker0: I'm always trying to develop mine, you know, and it's a, it's a never ending, you know, search.

Speaker0: It's something that we constantly work on.

Speaker0: Um, how long ago, like when, when did you first realize that you had these gifts and what did you do?

Speaker0: Like, did it scare you or did you jump right into it and start,

Speaker0: you know, saying, Oh, this is exciting. What happened?

Speaker1: Oh, I mean, started honestly so young that it's all really, really fuzzy.

Speaker1: I think my first memories of things, having experiences and really believing

Speaker1: those experiences and disbelieving adults that were telling me that those experiences didn't happen,

Speaker1: four or five years old before kindergarten.

Speaker1: Friends that I saw on a regular basis that I would talk about and then be reminded

Speaker1: that they either weren't there or that they were deceased and that they couldn't

Speaker1: have been there earlier that day or whatever.

Speaker1: And I remember getting kind of upset about it because no, no, no, no.

Speaker1: Mary came in while I was taking a bath and we talked and no, Mary died.

Speaker1: You know that Mary died. Or, you know, so on.

Speaker1: And, um, I remember really struggling with that at four years old that,

Speaker1: well, okay, but what does that mean? Because she's still, she still sees me.

Speaker1: She still talks to me or they still see me. They still talk to me. Um,

Speaker1: Seeing spirits, I remember living in a house once and trying to climb the stairs,

Speaker1: and I was a little too small to be climbing the stairs, and my mom was busy. She wasn't watching.

Speaker1: And I remember encountering these little beings, kind of like little goblins, but they were nice.

Speaker1: But they would chase me back from the stairs.

Speaker0: Interesting.

Speaker1: I'd get frustrated with them. And then I told my mother that,

Speaker1: and she's, what on earth are you talking about?

Speaker1: And I had just such a clear memory of that. But yeah, four, and of course,

Speaker1: the fascination with tarot, that started about four years old,

Speaker1: finding my mother's tarot deck. And I was just obsessive about it.

Speaker1: I'd spread them out on the floor in her bedroom, and I would just,

Speaker1: I knew those cards meant something really big.

Speaker1: And I, you know, gaze at them and try to figure them out.

Speaker1: But uh yeah so and then it just went from there and some things got weaker and

Speaker1: some things got stronger as i got older but

Speaker0: That's great uh like i

Speaker0: say i love to push people to focus

Speaker0: on whatever it may be if you're getting

Speaker0: these here strange senses um

Speaker0: voices visions or anything focus on

Speaker0: them i always said you know find out what

Speaker0: they are they are your gift um i

Speaker0: struggle like with my wife um she's very

Speaker0: powerful but it's i think for her it's overwhelming

Speaker0: and it's so much as she does not understand and

Speaker0: it's it could take a lifetime before you can actually feel

Speaker0: comfortable you know getting involved or

Speaker0: doing something about it i know she's a healer uh

Speaker0: and it's just it's just to push her say you should use that for good you know

Speaker0: try and help but a lot of times as for some people like my wife it's too draining

Speaker0: for her it's it's way too much mentally it's way too much physically for her

Speaker0: because it actually does it did she's exhausted after any kind of a healing so.

Speaker0: I think people just need to focus on that and that's why i am always interested

Speaker0: in what people have to offer because us as human beings there's a lot more to

Speaker0: us than just the flesh and bone that we are.

Speaker0: There's some deep spiritual connection and we're all connected in some way.

Speaker0: And we need to understand what we have. And then once we figure it out,

Speaker0: we could use that for good rather

Speaker0: than all of the nonsense that goes on in the world every single day.

Speaker1: It's too true. Very true. Very true. Very wise.

Speaker1: There is so much more going on than what we perceive with our waking minds on a day-to-day basis.

Speaker1: Of that, I have absolutely no doubt.

Speaker0: And you know as time goes

Speaker0: on i've been noticing even in the regular medical field the modern medical field

Speaker0: um they're starting to pick up on more of the holistic approach it's starting

Speaker0: to become mainstream slightly it's not where we like it to be but even in the

Speaker0: mental health community too.

Speaker0: They're using meditation as a way of curing or healing.

Speaker0: And I find that great. I really do. And I'm just hoping that we can go back

Speaker0: to the earlier ways of medicine, the safer ones, not the bleeding and bloodletting.

Speaker0: There are a few mistakes I think we made, but I think the holistic approach

Speaker0: with more holistic medicines,

Speaker0: holistic healing, I think we could do so much better because

Speaker0: people don't realize how we can actually heal

Speaker0: ourselves once we put our minds to

Speaker0: it we have a lot of control over our bodies and what goes

Speaker0: on with it from diseases and all it's

Speaker0: it's a mind over matter thing and i've studied a lot

Speaker0: of that by doing a lot of research and i stopped going

Speaker0: to my doctor because i just felt it's just money that's all here take this drug

Speaker0: take that drug and it does nothing for you but keep you sick that's all so i
