- 0:08Speaker 1: Scandal and vice, or sugar and spice, it's Naughty But
- 0:13Speaker 1: Nice with Rob. Very responsible. Let me be clear here.
- 0:36Speaker 1: There's no slackers, but there's one who is super, super responsible.
- 0:40Speaker 1: It's Mark Lupo. It's our friend Lupe. So I woke
- 0:44Speaker 1: up at 7am UK time. I'm now on British time.
- 0:48Speaker 1: They say that for every hour time difference, it takes
- 0:52Speaker 1: you a day to recover. So the UK and New York,
- 0:55Speaker 1: it's a five hour time difference. So it actually takes
- 0:58Speaker 1: you five days to get on local time. So I'm
- 1:02Speaker 1: finally on local time. I was up at 7 o'clock,
- 1:04Speaker 1: which is my usual time to get out of bed,
- 1:07Speaker 1: and I had a text from Mark. What was it?
- 1:10Speaker 1: 2 a.m. in New York. I think he had sent
- 1:13Speaker 1: it a little earlier. I hope he had. Where you at,
- 1:15Speaker 1: late Mark? Asking, is there a show today? And I said, yes, yes, yes,
- 1:19Speaker 1: but I'll be doing it solo because I don't want
- 1:21Speaker 1: you to get up at 2 a.m. o'clock in the morning.
- 1:24Speaker 1: So thank you for sticking with us this week. I
- 1:27Speaker 1: love that you are the co-hosts of the Naughty But
- 1:30Speaker 1: Nice show all week long. And boy, do we have
- 1:33Speaker 1: a show today. Let's jump right in. What time is it,
- 1:36Speaker 1: my friends? It is tea time. Huge story, huge story
- 1:41Speaker 1: at the top of the show. King Charles hits back
- 1:44Speaker 1: after Charles Spencer's explosive new book has started to leak out.
- 1:50Speaker 1: So King Charles has issued a response. After Princess Diana's brother,
- 1:55Speaker 1: Charles Spencer, alleges in his forthcoming memoir, it's out in
- 2:00Speaker 1: a few days, that Charles, said Diana, would be soon forgotten.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Would be forgotten, quote, soon enough, following her 1997 death. Ouch!
- 2:15Speaker 1: Earl Spencer characterises the alleged remarks as evidence of Charles's
- 2:21Speaker 1: contempt for for his former wife. Now, Buckingham Palace is
- 2:24Speaker 1: not remaining silent. This is surprising. A palace spokesperson suggested that, quote,
- 2:31Speaker 1: grief may have affected Spencer's recollection, saying the king is
- 2:36Speaker 1: mindful that fraternal grief can cloud reason, affect judgment and
- 2:43Speaker 1: colour memory. Even after decades, a little translation here, the
- 2:49Speaker 1: palace is is questioning Earl Spencer's memory without directly calling
- 2:53Speaker 1: him a liar. They don't want to call him a liar,
- 2:55Speaker 1: but this is something that's really big. He has kept
- 2:58Speaker 1: Diana's secrets for 29 years, next year's the 30th anniversary
- 3:02Speaker 1: of her death. Since she passed, everybody, every camera crew,
- 3:06Speaker 1: every outlet, Oprah, every huge interviewer in the world has
- 3:11Speaker 1: tried to get this interview, and he's always I have
- 3:14Speaker 1: friends who have worked on documentaries that he has participated in,
- 3:19Speaker 1: but he has put very, very clear guidelines, boundaries, that
- 3:23Speaker 1: he won't talk about this, he won't talk about Charles,
- 3:26Speaker 1: he won't talk about the marriage. All he has done
- 3:28Speaker 1: so far is reminisce about childhood memories of growing up
- 3:33Speaker 1: with his sister. He didn't want to get into where
- 3:37Speaker 1: all the drama was with the royal family until... Now,
- 3:40Speaker 1: so what has changed? I have a new story up
- 3:43Speaker 1: today on my sub stack, robshooter.substack.com, really detailing this. And
- 3:48Speaker 1: basically what my sources are telling me is two things
- 3:52Speaker 1: have changed. One is money and one is Harry. Harry
- 3:58Speaker 1: was the first real insider, really in the inner circle.
- 4:01Speaker 1: He's the son of So once Harry can do a book,
- 4:08Speaker 1: that opens the floodgates for everybody else. If somebody as
- 4:12Speaker 1: inside as Harry can tell all, tell the secrets, then
- 4:16Speaker 1: anybody else now around the family, within the family, are
- 4:19Speaker 1: able to do it too. So Harry has not just
- 4:21Speaker 1: changed the rules, he's ripped them up. He's blowing that
- 4:24Speaker 1: game up. Before Harry, nobody within the family would tell all.
- 4:29Speaker 1: It would be an absolute shocker for them to tell all. Now,
- 4:33Speaker 1: Earl Spencer always needed money. He runs Ulthrop, which is
- 4:37Speaker 1: the estate outside London where Diana grew up. She's also
- 4:41Speaker 1: buried there. It's a very expensive estate. Anybody that has
- 4:44Speaker 1: watched Downton Abbey. know how much it costs to keep
- 4:49Speaker 1: an estate that big operating, to keep it functioning. It
- 4:53Speaker 1: costs a lot of money. Earl Spencer has always needed money, money, money, money, money. However,
- 4:58Speaker 1: he just wasn't willing to tell all the secrets until
- 5:02Speaker 1: Harry did so. Harry broke the rules here. Insiders also
- 5:05Speaker 1: tell me Harry's read the book. Harry spent some time
- 5:09Speaker 1: with his uncle just a few weeks ago when they
- 5:12Speaker 1: first visited Britain before they moved back full-time. Harry has
- 5:16Speaker 1: read the book. He approves of the book. I don't
- 5:19Speaker 1: believe William has yet. William will be furious, furious about this.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Also too, let's be honest, the drama between the two brothers,
- 5:28Speaker 1: between Harry and William, has really now fractured the Diana legacy,
- 5:34Speaker 1: or at least who controls it. For a long time,
- 5:36Speaker 1: the brothers controlled it very, very closely together. Now they
- 5:40Speaker 1: are fractured and old Spencer sees an opportunity to make
- 5:43Speaker 1: himself the Keeper of Diana's legacy after all she's buried
- 5:49Speaker 1: on his property she's buried on an island at Althorpe
- 5:52Speaker 1: Park and so this is a couple a couple of
- 5:56Speaker 1: things going on here money Harry's book made millions and
- 6:00Speaker 1: also to Harry's book not only changed the rules of
- 6:05Speaker 1: royal tell-alls it ripped them up it destroyed them So
- 6:09Speaker 1: that's what's going on here. And I have friends, people,
- 6:13Speaker 1: I have not read it myself yet. It is not
- 6:15Speaker 1: out for a few more weeks. The Daily Mail got
- 6:18Speaker 1: the excerpts, the exclusive excerpts of the book. It's on
- 6:21Speaker 1: the cover of the Daily Mail today. Everybody's talking about
- 6:24Speaker 1: this quote that after her death, Charles said to Charles Spencer,
- 6:29Speaker 1: Diana would soon enough be forgotten about. How wrong was he? Now,
- 6:35Speaker 1: people who are close to Charles, tell me, that he
- 6:39Speaker 1: never said that but what he did say is that
- 6:43Speaker 1: all this would pass and he meant it to comfort
- 6:46Speaker 1: Diana's brother he spoke to Diana's brother and all everything
- 6:50Speaker 1: that was going on back then back in 1997 the
- 6:55Speaker 1: whole world exploded rightfully so when Diana died grief was
- 7:00Speaker 1: everywhere Charles said, this is what my sources close to
- 7:04Speaker 1: the king are telling me, Charles said that eventually we
- 7:09Speaker 1: all do move on. Life continues. Things do get back
- 7:14Speaker 1: to normal. Maybe never as they were, but a new normal.
- 7:18Speaker 1: And so they said Charles did talk to Diana's brother,
- 7:21Speaker 1: but he wasn't taking shots. He wasn't saying soon enough
- 7:26Speaker 1: everybody would forget about her because they didn't care. That
- 7:29Speaker 1: isn't what he was saying. This is what my sources
- 7:31Speaker 1: close to the king claim. However, Charles Spencer in the book,
- 7:35Speaker 1: he's quite clear. These remarks, in his opinion, these alleged
- 7:39Speaker 1: remarks are evidence of Charles's contempt for his former wife.
- 7:43Speaker 1: And let's not forget, when they got divorced in 1997,
- 7:47Speaker 1: they hated each other. She hated him. He hated her.
- 7:51Speaker 1: They were absolutely at war for a long time. The
- 7:54Speaker 1: Queen just hoped they could stay together, at least publicly,
- 7:58Speaker 1: and they could do a few events together, and then
- 8:00Speaker 1: they could live separate lives, which, to be honest, a
- 8:03Speaker 1: lot of kings have done in the past. Lots of
- 8:06Speaker 1: kings have done this, and I think Charles thought he
- 8:09Speaker 1: could do that too. It was impossible for Charles and
- 8:12Speaker 1: Diana to do this because they just couldn't even be
- 8:15Speaker 1: in the same room together. They couldn't even pretend together.
- 8:18Speaker 1: to be okay with one another. It was so obvious
- 8:21Speaker 1: to everybody watching. So this book is explosive. We're going
- 8:24Speaker 1: to get more details from this book. I've already pre-ordered
- 8:28Speaker 1: my copy, which brings us to our poll question of
- 8:31Speaker 1: the day. King Charles is hitting back. Charles Spencer's explosive
- 8:36Speaker 1: Diana claims, specifically the claim in his new memoir, that
- 8:41Speaker 1: Charles said Diana would be forgotten, quote, soon enough. Do
- 8:46Speaker 1: you think the king said that? Do you think that
- 8:49Speaker 1: then he would have been the Prince of Wales? Do
- 8:53Speaker 1: you think he said that when Diana died? Did he
- 8:57Speaker 1: really think she would soon be forgotten? Hey, go vote
- 9:01Speaker 1: on our Twitter page, our X page, at Naughty Nice Rob.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Our Facebook page is Naughty Gossip. And be sure to
- 9:09Speaker 1: check back tomorrow for our final show from the UK. Tomorrow, Friday,
- 9:13Speaker 1: I'm coming back on Sunday. So our final show in
- 9:17Speaker 1: the UK tomorrow. Check back tomorrow to hear your results. Okay,
- 9:21Speaker 1: moving along. Ed Sheeran fans are now demanding refunds after
- 9:25Speaker 1: Macklemore's was being axed. Macklemore has been axed from the tour.
- 9:29Speaker 1: So Eddie's facing backlash. He's lost hundreds of thousands of
- 9:33Speaker 1: followers on social media. Macklemore was dropped from his stadium
- 9:37Speaker 1: tour following his very controversial remarks. Some fans are now
- 9:41Speaker 1: publicly demanding refunds. Some are arguing that they're disgusted with Ed.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Some are saying they bought tickets to see Macklemore. He
- 9:48Speaker 1: was advertised as the opening act and he's not there anymore.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Other people have pulled out. Phineas, good grief, has pulled out.
- 9:56Speaker 1: He wants nothing to do with his other artists. Ed
- 10:00Speaker 1: insists that dropping Macklemore was the promoter's decision, not his,
- 10:04Speaker 1: saying the venue has threatened to cancel upcoming concerts if
- 10:09Speaker 1: the rapper remained on the bill. This is going to
- 10:11Speaker 1: be a big deal for Ed. You can be neutral.
- 10:15Speaker 1: I love my stars who are neutral. I am not
- 10:18Speaker 1: advocating for Ed Sheeran to suddenly become a political activist.
- 10:22Speaker 1: In fact, the opposite. I like it when I go
- 10:25Speaker 1: to see a pop concert and I'm entertained, not lectured.
- 10:29Speaker 1: I don't want to know what you think about the
- 10:32Speaker 1: Middle East. I want you to sing your greatest hits.
- 10:35Speaker 1: I'm there for two hours with my friends and we
- 10:37Speaker 1: want to dance and have a brilliant, fun, nice evening
- 10:41Speaker 1: where politics is nowhere on the bill. However, when your
- 10:44Speaker 1: opening act brings politics into the show... then you're responsible,
- 10:49Speaker 1: I think. Ed's name is at the top of the ticket.
- 10:52Speaker 1: People were buying all those tickets because of Ed. It
- 10:54Speaker 1: sold out because of Ed. It was his show. When
- 10:57Speaker 1: his warm-up act, when his supporter act suddenly gets political,
- 11:01Speaker 1: then Ed cannot remain neutral anymore. He's got to tell
- 11:04Speaker 1: us what he thinks. And I think here is the
- 11:06Speaker 1: big mistake that Ed is making. He wants it both ways.
- 11:10Speaker 1: He doesn't want to be blamed for firing his opening act.
- 11:15Speaker 1: But then again, he wants some credit for no longer
- 11:19Speaker 1: having politics in his show. This is a complicated one.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Some people are claiming he is a coward. I've worked
- 11:27Speaker 1: in publicity for a really long time before I was
- 11:31Speaker 1: a reporter. I'm now an author, a journalist, a podcaster.
- 11:34Speaker 1: My base, when I learned this business, it was through
- 11:37Speaker 1: the lens of publicity. I worked for Jon Bon Jovi,
- 11:41Speaker 1: Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, even Diddy. Goodness gracious me. And
- 11:45Speaker 1: so I've seen how these tours, these massive tours operate.
- 11:51Speaker 1: And you've got to be accountable. The book stops with you.
- 11:55Speaker 1: If you're Jon Bon Jovi, that tour is his tour.
- 11:59Speaker 1: It's easy. When everything's going great, when you're selling out,
- 12:02Speaker 1: it's easy to be a leader then. It's when things
- 12:05Speaker 1: go wrong. That's when you see who the true leaders are.
- 12:09Speaker 1: And Ed has failed miserably this test. Once again, I
- 12:13Speaker 1: don't want my stars involved in politics. But when politics
- 12:16Speaker 1: are on their stage, then they are responsible. They have
- 12:21Speaker 1: to say something. And saying nothing here, which is what
- 12:25Speaker 1: Ed is trying to do, saying nothing is actually deafening.
- 12:30Speaker 1: It's saying everything. Okay, moving along Ben Affleck. He cast
- 12:34Speaker 1: Jennifer Gardner. as his love interest, then decided that their
- 12:40Speaker 1: real life baggage, their real life relationship, it was just
- 12:44Speaker 1: too much, let me explain. So Ben Affleck almost reunited
- 12:47Speaker 1: with his ex, Jennifer Garner, on the big screen, until
- 12:51Speaker 1: they decided audiences might find it impossible to forget their
- 12:55Speaker 1: real life marriage. Affleck originally wanted Jennifer to play the lead,
- 13:01Speaker 1: the female lead, in his new film, Animals, opposite Matt Damon.
- 13:05Speaker 1: But then Matt Damon became unavailable. He had to drop out.
- 13:08Speaker 1: So now there's a role. The lead role is up
- 13:10Speaker 1: and Ben took it himself. Then he realised, oh my goodness,
- 13:13Speaker 1: I've already hired Jen Garner as my wife, as the
- 13:18Speaker 1: leading lady in this film. So Jen opposite Matt would
- 13:21Speaker 1: be fantastic. I'd believe that on the big screen. However,
- 13:25Speaker 1: Jen opposite Ben Affleck, I'm going to be thinking about
- 13:28Speaker 1: their marriage. They have children. They were together a long time.
- 13:30Speaker 1: And so it didn't work. He said he talked to
- 13:32Speaker 1: Jen and she got it first. She was like, We've
- 13:35Speaker 1: got baggage here and this isn't going to work. Ultimately,
- 13:38Speaker 1: Kerry Washington ultimately got that part. Despite the recasting, Ben
- 13:42Speaker 1: insists that he and his ex-wife remain really close, saying
- 13:45Speaker 1: she's fabulous and we're really good friends. There'll be another
- 13:48Speaker 1: part for Jen. I think this is probably the right move.
- 13:51Speaker 1: I worked with J-Lo when she made Gigli. Remember that
- 13:54Speaker 1: disastrous film? Gigli with Ben. Audiences just couldn't accept them
- 13:58Speaker 1: as an on-screen couple because of all the noise off-screen. Okay,
- 14:03Speaker 1: moving along. Travis, Kelsey and Taylor Swift have installed a
- 14:07Speaker 1: warning system to keep neighbours away from their new homes.
- 14:10Speaker 1: They bought a new home in Ohio. It's a mansion,
- 14:13Speaker 1: but don't get too close. The couple is installing a
- 14:16Speaker 1: warning system around the whole property that delivers a message
- 14:19Speaker 1: when somebody approaches too closely. One neighbour has already said
- 14:23Speaker 1: they received a verbal warning after getting too near to
- 14:27Speaker 1: the house. The house is 21,000 square feet. It's on
- 14:32Speaker 1: a lakefront. It's a mansion and it casts 5.35 million.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a game room, a theatre. It's
- 14:42Speaker 1: a secluded community, already has a regular police patrols and
- 14:46Speaker 1: 24-hour security. This looks absolutely glorious, but added measures have
- 14:52Speaker 1: been put in place. And quickly, before we get a break,
- 14:55Speaker 1: Diddy has been fired by his lawyers, saying he is
- 14:58Speaker 1: unreasonably difficult. I can confirm that. Diddy is losing his
- 15:02Speaker 1: lawyers in a $ 100 million defamation lawsuit, which his attorneys
- 15:07Speaker 1: are claiming he hasn't paid them. Hasn't paid them. And
- 15:11Speaker 1: he has stopped communicating. So his attorney is asking a
- 15:14Speaker 1: judge for permission to withdraw, alleging that Puffy has been
- 15:18Speaker 1: behind on his bill substantially. When I was doing his publicity,
- 15:23Speaker 1: he often didn't pay every month. We had to hand
- 15:26Speaker 1: him down. Now, his lawyer is saying he's at least
- 15:28Speaker 1: six months behind. He wants to terminate the relationship, which
- 15:33Speaker 1: he said has become, quote, unreasonably difficult. Now, Combs is
- 15:37Speaker 1: disputing this account, insisting that he decided to switch up lawyers.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Pay your bills. Pay your bills. OK, we're going to
- 15:47Speaker 1: take a quick break and pay our bills. And we
- 15:51Speaker 1: will be back. Right back. Welcome back to the Naughty
- 15:56Speaker 1: But Nice Show. I'm your host, Rob Shooter. Hey, let's
- 15:58Speaker 1: get to the polls. Last show we talked about, Harry
- 16:02Speaker 1: and Meghan have been accused, particularly here in the UK,
- 16:05Speaker 1: of using Archie and Lilibet to pull at heartstrings. Are
- 16:09Speaker 1: they doing this? They keep posting pictures with their beautiful children.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Why are they doing this? They keep asking for privacy
- 16:16Speaker 1: and then they're the only ones that are sending pictures.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Nobody has photographed the Sussexes. In the UK, except Megan.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Megan's the only one who has posted images of their
- 16:26Speaker 1: return to the UK. Are they doing this to pull
- 16:30Speaker 1: at heartstrings? 85% said yes, they are. Oh, don't forget
- 16:35Speaker 1: to vote on today's poll. Go to our Twitter, our
- 16:38Speaker 1: X page, and Naughty Nice Rom. Our Facebook page is
- 16:43Speaker 1: Naughty Gossip. And be sure to check back tomorrow to
- 16:47Speaker 1: hear your results. And now... It's time for our noisiest
- 16:53Speaker 1: of the day. Our noisiest of the day is Lena Dunnan,
- 16:57Speaker 1: who has welcomed her first baby via surrogate after years
- 17:01Speaker 1: of heartbreak. Lena is officially a mummy. The girl's creator,
- 17:05Speaker 1: who's 40, and her husband, Louis Velber, have welcomed their
- 17:09Speaker 1: first child, a baby girl via surrogate. The joyful arrival
- 17:14Speaker 1: comes after Leah spoke. She really did speak openly. about
- 17:19Speaker 1: grieving motherhood following a hysterectomy at just 31 years old.
- 17:23Speaker 1: She admitted being a mother had always been part of
- 17:26Speaker 1: how she imagined her future. Well, now it has come true.
- 17:30Speaker 1: So after meeting with families created in many different ways,
- 17:34Speaker 1: she said she is excited to be building hers differently.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Sometimes the dream, it doesn't disappear. It simply disappears. finds
- 17:42Speaker 1: another path oh our nicest of the day i saw
- 17:46Speaker 1: her a couple of months ago i live in chelsea
- 17:48Speaker 1: and i think she lives in chelsea too so i
- 17:50Speaker 1: often bump into her on the street she's always darling
- 17:53Speaker 1: she listens to our podcast the lower lower low so
- 17:55Speaker 1: if you're listening congratulations you my friend are our nicest
- 18:00Speaker 1: of the day and now our naughtiest of the day
- 18:02Speaker 1: naughty naughty naughty hayden panettia's ex has crashed his motorbike
- 18:07Speaker 1: get this after picking up his brother from jail you
- 18:10Speaker 1: heard that right These are trouble, trouble, trouble. Hayden's ex-boyfriend,
- 18:15Speaker 1: Brian Hickerson, and his brother, Zach, were involved in a
- 18:18Speaker 1: motorbike crash while heading home from jail. Of course they were.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Brian reportedly rear-ended a car around 5.30pm, throwing Zach, his brother,
- 18:28Speaker 1: off the bike. The wild accident came after Zach was
- 18:31Speaker 1: arrested following a bar brawl. That's nice. They had a
- 18:35Speaker 1: fight in the bar. Brian was also handcuffed at that
- 18:38Speaker 1: brawl in the bar, but was ultimately released. The brothers
- 18:41Speaker 1: claim they were heckled about Hayden's death at the bar.
- 18:44Speaker 1: They're out drinking, having a good time. They were recognised.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Somebody allegedly heckled them and then they got into a
- 18:50Speaker 1: bar brawl. Then they went to jail. One of them
- 18:53Speaker 1: went to jail. The other brother went to pick him
- 18:55Speaker 1: up and guess what happened on the way home? They
- 18:57Speaker 1: got into a motorbike crash. They're both fine, but trouble, trouble,
- 19:02Speaker 1: trouble seems to find these two fools everywhere. Okay, let's
- 19:08Speaker 1: end with a moment of Rob, my favourite part. You
- 19:11Speaker 1: get a rub, you get a rub, you get a rub.
- 19:13Speaker 1: For 15, 20 minutes, we give you all the celebrity news,
- 19:15Speaker 1: all the celebrity gossip. But for a moment, we're a
- 19:17Speaker 1: little bit more deep. Today's moment of Rob. Family isn't
- 19:20Speaker 1: about being perfect. It's about showing up. It's a real
- 19:23Speaker 1: heartfelt one today, isn't it, for me? I'm here with
- 19:26Speaker 1: my mum, my family in the UK. Family can disappoint you.
- 19:30Speaker 1: They can annoy you, misunderstand you. And occasionally, they know
- 19:34Speaker 1: every button to press because they installed them. But family
- 19:39Speaker 1: isn't about getting everything right. It's about showing up, particularly
- 19:44Speaker 1: when things go wrong. Call them, forgive them, say I
- 19:48Speaker 1: love you, give everything. that extra second chance. Stop keeping
- 19:53Speaker 1: score over things nobody's going to remember in 10 years.
- 19:57Speaker 1: You don't need a perfect family to have something precious.
- 20:01Speaker 1: You need people willing to choose each other, especially when
- 20:05Speaker 1: it is easier to walk away. Once again, love isn't perfection.
- 20:10Speaker 1: It's presence. Be present today with your loved ones. Hey,
- 20:16Speaker 1: that is it for today. Thank you so much for
