Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Up on relatables. I want to be able to provide.
- 0:02Speaker 2: I want to be someone that gets looked to as
- 0:04Speaker 2: someone that's done it and if I need something, I
- 0:08Speaker 2: can get it from him. I want my wife to
- 0:10Speaker 2: think like they're taken care of, and want my kids
- 0:12Speaker 2: to feel safe.
- 0:13Speaker 1: And I don't think there's no room for vulnerability in that.
- 0:17Speaker 1: And I've never been completely vulnerable to a person ever before,
- 0:22Speaker 1: like properly opened myself up to someone emotion wise. Oh yeah,
- 0:26Speaker 1: I couldn't hear those words, by the way, but that's
- 0:27Speaker 1: the hardest thing ever. I'd finished quickly to finish, And like,
- 0:31Speaker 1: you've got to make the conscious decision when your whole
- 0:33Speaker 1: body's tongueing. No, yes, you know you like think of
- 0:36Speaker 1: the future. Have you about day Jake? And one and two?
- 0:44Speaker 1: Happy about day two? You relatable? The Relatables podcast is
- 0:58Speaker 1: hosted by myself Whatdy Clark Mummy and my partner in crime,
- 1:02Speaker 1: mister Jake Craig aka dad Y. And we're back back again,
- 1:08Speaker 1: back for another episode. Thank you everybody for tuning in
- 1:11Speaker 1: once again. How's it going about it? How's it going
- 1:14Speaker 1: about it?
- 1:14Speaker 2: Is?
- 1:14Speaker 1: You know? I saw a new way we could potentially
- 1:17Speaker 1: end the episode. I'll do it at the end, so
- 1:20Speaker 1: stay tuned for that. I thought we lay last episode.
- 1:23Speaker 2: We literally showed them how we were ending the episode.
- 1:24Speaker 1: No, no, like the last, very last word. How many outros
- 1:27Speaker 1: do we need? No, the very last word. It's not
- 1:29Speaker 1: really an outro, but okay, it makes sense when you
- 1:31Speaker 1: get to the very I know I'm.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Here, I wait, oh wait, I'm excited to get to
- 1:33Speaker 2: the end.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Of the episode. But for now, let's argue. Let's let's
- 1:40Speaker 1: argue this one, like Jake said before we started, could
- 1:44Speaker 1: be taken out of context. Yes, yes, but if you
- 1:47Speaker 1: know us, you know that we mean well, if you've
- 1:50Speaker 1: listened to any episodes of Relatables, you know that usually
- 1:54Speaker 1: one of us doesn't want to argue one of these points. Yeah, exactly.
- 1:57Speaker 1: So today's argument is vulnerable or not or vulnerable or tough.
- 2:03Speaker 1: And I want vulnerable, You want vulnerable? Like I could?
- 2:10Speaker 1: I mean I could.
- 2:10Speaker 2: I'm happy to try and argue tough like I can
- 2:12Speaker 2: think of plenty of arguments.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Why, Like I think my arguments would be better for vulnerable,
- 2:17Speaker 1: but like, it's good to think in another way as well. Yeah,
- 2:19Speaker 1: starts to turn a gey in the brain. Okay, so
- 2:21Speaker 1: I still haven't won. Is this three? I haven't won?
- 2:23Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure you okay, Well, okay, so we've we've
- 2:26Speaker 2: done three but only posted two because of the episode wee.
- 2:29Speaker 1: And in that one you lost.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Yeah, it's crazy that you Okay, okay, maybe do you
- 2:33Speaker 2: want to flip in.
- 2:34Speaker 1: The last episode you go and theoretically it's fifty percent.
- 2:38Speaker 1: When I listen back, I was like, obviously a fucking
- 2:40Speaker 1: coin flip, it's fifty percent due. And I was like,
- 2:43Speaker 1: you could win the next ten in a row. I
- 2:45Speaker 1: just said, yeah, yeah, okay, call it in the air
- 2:50Speaker 1: fifty percent. I'm gonna win. Baby. Tails never fails. Oh
- 2:55Speaker 1: it's to the chair, it's tails, Yes, it's tales. No
- 2:59Speaker 1: way want vulnerable baby. First one you've won, and now
- 3:03Speaker 1: I'm going to win ten with that mindset team on women? Ah, okay,
- 3:10Speaker 1: you want to start on me? I always think it's
- 3:12Speaker 1: hard to start. It is very hard to start. We
- 3:14Speaker 1: need a producer in here. We don't have a producer.
- 3:16Speaker 2: It is like a keyword to start there to be
- 3:18Speaker 2: like a boys, what do you think of boom?
- 3:20Speaker 1: And then we would say I've got a way to start.
- 3:23Speaker 1: I think, okay, I'm at a I'm at a season
- 3:29Speaker 1: in my life where I think being vulnerable and open
- 3:33Speaker 1: to all experiences emotional wise is making my life better.
- 3:40Speaker 1: I'm happy for you.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I would say I am in the opposite season.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Why is that? Well? I find that staying the word
- 3:51Speaker 1: I like to use is stoic.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I find that there is a sort of manliness in
- 4:00Speaker 2: figuring out what it is, or not really figuring out
- 4:05Speaker 2: what it is, but figuring out like just how to
- 4:08Speaker 2: do things on your own and opening up to one
- 4:11Speaker 2: of opening up to people is not one of those
- 4:14Speaker 2: things that I would classify as.
- 4:17Speaker 1: So you think not being vulnerable means being independent.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Yes, I do, and I think that I don't want
- 4:26Speaker 2: to burden people with my problems, right, you know?
- 4:29Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 4:31Speaker 2: So what do you think with vulnerability? What do you
- 4:35Speaker 2: find is like good about it?
- 4:38Speaker 1: One of the biggest things about being vulnerable is being
- 4:41Speaker 1: able to feel everything the highs, but that also comes
- 4:45Speaker 1: with the lows. But when I do experience those things,
- 4:50Speaker 1: they're so much better opposed to when I was younger.
- 4:53Speaker 1: I've been like yourself, wanting to be independent, and when
- 4:57Speaker 1: something good would happen to me, I wasn't able to
- 4:59Speaker 1: fully be enveloped. I said, scenario or experience and be
- 5:04Speaker 1: happy or if something bad happened, I suppose it's good
- 5:06Speaker 1: because I wasn't sad, but it makes the highs and
- 5:10Speaker 1: lows so much better. And I think that's what life's
- 5:12Speaker 1: really about. Experiences.
- 5:14Speaker 2: You just had here wasting time? What do you mean
- 5:16Speaker 2: just had to waste and time? Have wasted time experiencing
- 5:18Speaker 2: feelings doing all that? Ah, what are you doing sitting
- 5:21Speaker 2: in bed twiddling your thumbs thinking what do I feel
- 5:23Speaker 2: this way today?
- 5:24Speaker 1: Get up?
- 5:25Speaker 2: You fucking get to work? What are you talking about?
- 5:27Speaker 1: Well? Well, I think the misconception is so vulnerability doesn't
- 5:33Speaker 1: mean you need to have an answer, whereas I feel
- 5:35Speaker 1: like toughness means you have to be good, and I
- 5:38Speaker 1: feel like that's not good for your mental health. Whereas
- 5:41Speaker 1: vulnerability is being open and there's no answer. You don't
- 5:43Speaker 1: know how you're gonna feel. And I think that's what
- 5:44Speaker 1: laugh's about. So what would you say if I said
- 5:46Speaker 1: that being tough and driving.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Yourself to be the best personally, I think that's the
- 5:56Speaker 2: best way to go about it.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Okay, okay, so I'm not agreeing with you with you,
- 6:00Speaker 1: but do you think there is a place for both mindsets.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Sometimes use the tough mindset and sometimes use the vulnerable
- 6:08Speaker 1: mindset well vulnerable.
- 6:12Speaker 2: A vulnerable mindset to me shows weakness, So someone like me,
- 6:18Speaker 2: you've crossed the line further toxic because if someone's going
- 6:25Speaker 2: to do it, it may as well be me, all right,
- 6:26Speaker 2: Because here's what, so you know I want to I
- 6:30Speaker 2: guess I want to be a self made man. I
- 6:33Speaker 2: don't want to be built on the backs of anyone else.
- 6:35Speaker 2: I want to be I want to have done it
- 6:36Speaker 2: all of myself.
- 6:39Speaker 1: I mean, actually, well puffrom the podcast together. I want
- 6:44Speaker 1: to be a self made man. I want to do
- 6:47Speaker 1: it all myself. I want to be able to provide.
- 6:49Speaker 2: I want to be someone that gets looked to as
- 6:51Speaker 2: someone that's done it and if I need something, I
- 6:54Speaker 2: can get it from him. I want my wife to
- 6:56Speaker 2: think like they're taken care of, and want my kids
- 6:58Speaker 2: to feel safe.
- 7:00Speaker 1: And I don't think there's no room for vulnerability in
- 7:03Speaker 1: that question all the things you just said. I suppose
- 7:07Speaker 1: the journey is very good, but when you get there,
- 7:10Speaker 1: how are you going to feel not accomplished? You're not
- 7:15Speaker 1: going to feel anything. I don't need to feel like
- 7:16Speaker 1: you're going to keep going, keep having that grind and
- 7:18Speaker 1: do it for me. You did it because you're selfish.
- 7:25Speaker 1: I think that was good. Showed like both sides of
- 7:29Speaker 1: two different mindsets that grind or die, all that feeling
- 7:32Speaker 1: and emotion. I won't lie.
- 7:33Speaker 2: I was really trying to think of, like I was
- 7:34Speaker 2: trying to think of any Andrew tape video I'd send
- 7:36Speaker 2: on TikTok, and I was like, what does he say?
- 7:40Speaker 1: I think you're I didn't agree with anything I said.
- 7:44Speaker 2: So Actually, the thing about a toxic argument is I
- 7:48Speaker 2: feel like maybe it's always gonna win because you need
- 7:51Speaker 2: to be stubborn in the belief of the toxicity.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Have you ever been in an argument and then there's
- 7:56Speaker 1: a certain point, like at the start you believed you
- 7:58Speaker 1: were right, but then the more words that out of
- 8:00Speaker 1: your mouth, you realize you're wrong, but you keep fighting.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Double down. Yeah, you gotta double down. So it's like
- 8:06Speaker 1: it defends who.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Yeah, like with Beth I wouldn't double down there, but
- 8:11Speaker 2: with Joanna sometimes I.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Would quadriple down. If it was with Joanna, I don't
- 8:17Speaker 1: even give get caught out realize I hope they don't notice.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Start just like saying things about their character. You should
- 8:26Speaker 1: have been like, where are you right now? Not successful?
- 8:28Speaker 1: Look at me, I'm successful nine to five. But No,
- 8:35Speaker 1: the vulnerability thing, I like being vulnerable. I'm getting a
- 8:40Speaker 1: little more vulnerable lately in my life. I think there's
- 8:42Speaker 1: definitely a time and a place where you should be vulnerable.
- 8:45Speaker 1: And that is going to be a little bit of
- 8:46Speaker 1: the essence of today's episode, a little bit vulnerability. We
- 8:50Speaker 1: might get vulnerable and maybe not, Jake, Munno, you never.
- 9:00Speaker 1: I'm excited for this one, Jake, and I'm nervous. Let
- 9:03Speaker 1: me take you and ninety nine percent of the listeners
- 9:07Speaker 1: on a journey who probably don't know what is going on,
- 9:10Speaker 1: ninety nine because this involves some of the batties and
- 9:14Speaker 1: they know the inside it's not really a joke, but
- 9:17Speaker 1: the inside joke. Okay, So, probably about a year ago, Jake,
- 9:22Speaker 1: myself and Harry from Blues and Greens dropped some hoodies
- 9:25Speaker 1: and with that they were doing live streams to promote
- 9:29Speaker 1: the hoodies. I don't know if I wasn't there because
- 9:31Speaker 1: I was doing something or I also don't like live
- 9:34Speaker 1: stream No, you just didn't want to be there. Yeah,
- 9:35Speaker 1: I don't like live streams. And within that live stream,
- 9:38Speaker 1: they started a little bit of a trend and we're
- 9:40Speaker 1: talking shit behind my back, bold client, bold claim. But
- 9:47Speaker 1: it wasn't really shit. They just had an inside joke
- 9:50Speaker 1: that left me out. Felt like I was an outsider
- 9:54Speaker 1: in the group of our friends, and they started the
- 9:56Speaker 1: trend hashtag don't tell audio. It was a tough period
- 10:00Speaker 1: in my life. Lives on by the way, so I
- 10:07Speaker 1: was thinking, how can I get this man back? But
- 10:10Speaker 1: in my own way? And this coming Friday, it would
- 10:15Speaker 1: have already been when this episode comes out, is Jake's birthday.
- 10:19Speaker 1: So I was I was thinking to myself, what should
- 10:22Speaker 1: I get Jake for his birthday? And I was thinking, like,
- 10:24Speaker 1: what can I buy him? We've been buying a few
- 10:25Speaker 1: things on the business. I was like, I don't really
- 10:27Speaker 1: want to buy him something that's like money monetary wise.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Let's think of something real personal He's I think this
- 10:36Speaker 1: is better than anything you could buy. Okay, so you
- 10:39Speaker 1: didn't spend any I didn't spend any money. And normally
- 10:43Speaker 1: you think this guy's cheaped out or whatever, but you're gonna,
- 10:46Speaker 1: I reckon, this is going to be so worth it.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Fucking So I put on my story any bad. He's listening,
- 10:52Speaker 1: Please reply to this and help me out. And the
- 10:55Speaker 1: response man in fucking sane. I was spending hour was
- 11:00Speaker 1: replying to everyone. Wait, because I saw your story. You
- 11:03Speaker 1: should have blocked me from it. By the way, I
- 11:05Speaker 1: wanted you to know. You wanted me to know. You
- 11:07Speaker 1: didn't know what I was talking about it. No, I
- 11:08Speaker 1: know it.
- 11:10Speaker 2: I saw the because it was not like a story
- 11:12Speaker 2: with a question box. No, it was a story where
- 11:14Speaker 2: they had like.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Go in and fully reply and you got heat. That's
- 11:17Speaker 1: what I wanted. I needed them to have a little
- 11:19Speaker 1: bit of initiative so they would do what I wanted. Yeah,
- 11:21Speaker 1: And in that I asked if they could help me out,
- 11:25Speaker 1: And this is for your birthday. And before I show you,
- 11:29Speaker 1: I wanted it to be surprised and build the suspense.
- 11:33Speaker 1: So I said hashtag don't tell Jake at the end
- 11:35Speaker 1: of it, so what do you think this is? Well?
- 11:38Speaker 1: Fuck still with my birthday? And he was getting annoyed.
- 11:42Speaker 1: I know he was putting it on it. Don't tell
- 11:44Speaker 1: Jake Narrow, I'll cry. What do I think it is like?
- 11:50Speaker 2: I mean, I would be very if it was just
- 11:52Speaker 2: like a bunch of the baddies sending a video saying
- 11:53Speaker 2: happy birthday each.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Like it could be that. But also before I show you,
- 11:59Speaker 1: I wanted to firstly thanks no. I wanted to thank
- 12:04Speaker 1: all the baddies you interacted. And also I think talking
- 12:08Speaker 1: about vulnerability you and I in this podcast, it's so
- 12:11Speaker 1: easy to get caught up with numbers views and everyone
- 12:15Speaker 1: wants to know, like one hundred thousand listens me is
- 12:17Speaker 1: this much money? And it's so easy to detach yourself
- 12:20Speaker 1: from every single person listening right now has a life
- 12:24Speaker 1: and like is a person, and for us that's really
- 12:27Speaker 1: hard to grasp just because it's like so hard to comprehend.
- 12:30Speaker 1: And what I'm about to show you like really really
- 12:32Speaker 1: made me happy of what we've built together and like
- 12:35Speaker 1: sort of like emphasize how like I don't know, just happy,
- 12:39Speaker 1: and I don't know I have another way to say it.
- 12:41Speaker 1: I've lost the words, but I want to show you this.
- 12:44Speaker 3: Wow.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Fuck, I'm so scared. So I want to say happy birthday, Jake,
- 12:47Speaker 1: Happy thirtieth birthday, and click the second latest video and
- 12:53Speaker 1: it will play. And I also know this probably isn't
- 12:56Speaker 1: the best listen, but this will make Jake happy, so
- 12:59Speaker 1: I don't care it is it is.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Happy birthday Jake and one and two.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Happy birthday two you. Happy birthday Jake.
- 13:11Speaker 3: Happy birthday, Jake, Well, Happy birthday, Jake. Have a birthday, Jake.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Happy birthday, Jake.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Had birthday, Jake, wishing all the mass from presum. Happy birthday,
- 13:21Speaker 1: ja Happy birthday, Jake, Happy birthday, Happy birthday.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Happy birthday, Jake.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Happy birthday, Jake.
- 13:31Speaker 1: I hope you have an amazing day and remember how
- 13:34Speaker 1: like you are to have Audie's a friend birthday.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Happy birthday, Jake.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Happy birthday, Jake, we love you. Happy birthday, Jake. Happy birthday, Jake,

- 13:56Speaker 1: of course, Happy birth Thoday. Happy birthday, Jake, have a birthday, Jake.

- 14:08Speaker 3: with the podcast.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Happy birthday, Jake, readings from the Philippines. Happy birthday, Jake,
- 14:13Speaker 1: Happy birthday, Happy birthday, Jake.
- 14:18Speaker 3: Happy birthday, Jake.

- 14:21Speaker 1: have an awesome birthday.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Definitely birthday, Joke. Happy birthday, Happy birthday, ja Happy birthday, Jake.
- 14:30Speaker 1: I hope you have an amazing day. Happy birthday, Jake.
- 14:34Speaker 2: From me and Notice Yeah Okay.
- 14:36Speaker 1: Happy birthday, Jake.
- 14:37Speaker 3: Hope we have the best day ever surrounded by people
- 14:39Speaker 3: that you love. I hope you really feel in love too, Hie.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Happy birthday, Jake keeps laying bad, which you knew. The
- 14:45Speaker 1: Happiest birthday Jake from New Zealand.

- 14:53Speaker 2: Hope you have a great day and love the podcast.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Hey Jake, Happy birthday from me and my dog. I
- 15:00Speaker 1: hope it's a great day and you have a wonderful year.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Stay bad.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Happy birthday, Jake. Good birthday, Jake.
- 15:11Speaker 1: We love you.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Happy birthday, Jake.
- 15:13Speaker 1: If you have the best day ever.
- 15:15Speaker 3: Happy birthday, Cheek. Happy birthday Jake. Happy birthday, Jake.
- 15:19Speaker 2: I hope you have an amazing day.
- 15:20Speaker 1: I love your Guys' podcast. I listened to it all
- 15:23Speaker 1: the time. Happy birthday, Jay, Happy birthday, Jake.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Have birthday, Jake. Celebrating you and amazing person you are.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Sending you a lot of love on your speechiday. Happy birthday, Jake, Hoorday,
- 15:36Speaker 1: Happy birthday, Jake, have the best day. Hope you got
- 15:40Speaker 1: lots of caddles from Henry. I'm off to work in
- 15:42Speaker 1: your hoodie. Let's go.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Hi.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Happy birthday, Happy birthday. Thank you so much. That's so
- 15:56Speaker 1: fucking cool. Oh so thank you everybody, And happy birthday
- 16:00Speaker 1: from myself and all the baddies listening. That is so cool.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Holy shit, how did it feel? So? Like my jaw
- 16:09Speaker 1: hurts because I was smiling the whole time. When I
- 16:12Speaker 1: was editing it, I was like I couldn't stop smiling either.
- 16:15Speaker 1: That's so many, Yeah, I know how many was it?
- 16:18Speaker 1: I don't know. That was like the forty or fifty,
- 16:21Speaker 1: maybe sixty, but there's more too. So I want to
- 16:23Speaker 1: say sorry to everyone who didn't make the cut. You
- 16:25Speaker 1: didn't get anything, You didn't get it in time for
- 16:28Speaker 1: me to edit. Oh yeah, it was all about timing.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, that is thank you so much.
- 16:33Speaker 1: I had like another fifty or sixty more like it
- 16:36Speaker 1: went wild and like I can't wipe the smile off
- 16:39Speaker 1: my face ev and like you know, do you know
- 16:41Speaker 1: what I mean? With all the people who listening are
- 16:44Speaker 1: like individual lives and putting a face that who's listening
- 16:46Speaker 1: is so cool? Yeah, yeah, that is wow, mate, I
- 16:52Speaker 1: told you was better than money.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that's way better than money.
- 16:55Speaker 1: What No, many and that amount of people have never
- 16:59Speaker 1: said happy birthday. I was thinking that too. That is
- 17:04Speaker 1: fucking crazy. I was when I was also adding it,
- 17:06Speaker 1: I was thinking, like, we've been talking about a lot
- 17:09Speaker 1: about losing our friends and they all say happy birthday.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Still when I was like, the community we've started to
- 17:13Speaker 1: build with the baddies and it's only going up from here,
- 17:16Speaker 1: and like the sense of belonging, like it's just amazing, right,
- 17:21Speaker 1: thank you?
- 17:21Speaker 2: That is so fucking sare so we need to do
- 17:25Speaker 2: a live show or something, or like a meet and greet, they're.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Still like a free live show or like just recuperate
- 17:32Speaker 1: our money. It's crazy.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Actually, what I heard is if you were to do
- 17:35Speaker 2: something for free, it's less likely people come because if
- 17:38Speaker 2: they were to like just like order a free ticket
- 17:40Speaker 2: online when it gets to the day, because it was
- 17:43Speaker 2: like they're not losing any money.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Yeah, there's kind of like I was gonna go, but
- 17:47Speaker 1: let's just a cost price then whatever.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I wouldn't want to make any money from
- 17:52Speaker 2: one yeah, ship, maybe if we did a live show,
- 17:55Speaker 2: would anyone come.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Comment if you want us do a live show and
- 18:01Speaker 1: we need like what place can you fill out like
- 18:03Speaker 1: three hundred people? Three hundred? Yeah, I feel like that.
- 18:06Speaker 1: I would think of like fifty. I feel like maybe
- 18:08Speaker 1: a hundred hundred hundred. I feel like one hundred's a minimum. Yeah,
- 18:11Speaker 1: I mean hundred people. Hype it up if you want
- 18:14Speaker 1: to see it. Two nervous boys going off on today. Yeah,
- 18:17Speaker 1: you know what it would be.
- 18:18Speaker 2: The first live show would just be like, we need
- 18:20Speaker 2: to lose money on it because we need to pay
- 18:21Speaker 2: you guys to come because it's not going to be good.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Now. The start will be Jake singing translucent, I reckon,
- 18:27Speaker 1: we do live renditions. We have to do live rendition.
- 18:31Speaker 1: We need to go.
- 18:32Speaker 2: Actually to so we'll shooting gigs are come in here.
- 18:36Speaker 2: We should try maybe just get tickets to their live
- 18:39Speaker 2: show to see what they do. We're we're not the
- 18:41Speaker 2: same type of show with them, like they're like all comedy. Yeah,
- 18:44Speaker 2: so it would be different, but I'm sure they don't
- 18:47Speaker 2: do like what's on YouTube.
- 18:49Speaker 1: They actually just posted a live show on YouTube like
- 18:51Speaker 1: this week, watch it just out of interest then yeah,
- 18:54Speaker 1: it could be. And that podcast the Girls Bathroom, they
- 18:58Speaker 1: come in here to do live shows as well.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Whenever we should go to that too, that that would
- 19:02Speaker 2: probably be more like what ours would be like because
- 19:04Speaker 2: it would be a lot of females.
- 19:05Speaker 1: If you guys like The Girl's Bathroom. It's good to know. Well, shit,
- 19:15Speaker 1: that's fucking queer, good mood. So happy early birthday man,
- 19:19Speaker 1: thank you.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Well, yeah, it's when this comes out late early right now.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Alrighty, Jake, I don't know if I just saw little
- 19:32Speaker 1: tear come out of your eye within.
- 19:34Speaker 2: The first thirty seconds, it was sinking in and it
- 19:37Speaker 2: was like, you know, the maybe I guess it.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Was like welling up. I think it was a dear
- 19:42Speaker 1: of joy and then like yeah, it like went away
- 19:44Speaker 1: after a while. But oh yeah, that was fucking so good.
- 19:47Speaker 1: So we are trying to be advocates for embracing vulnerability. Yes,
- 19:52Speaker 1: so I wanted to talk about the last time I
- 19:54Speaker 1: was vulnerable, Okay, And like, obviously we'reable vulnerable day to day.
- 19:59Speaker 1: It's kind of hard word. After we keep saying vulnerable,
- 20:02Speaker 1: a vulnerable we're both stuffed that whole time, you know
- 20:06Speaker 1: what we're talking about. But we obviously experienced vulnerability day
- 20:10Speaker 1: to day in certain scenarios, but like, the last time
- 20:12Speaker 1: I consciously made the decision to be completely vulnerable was
- 20:17Speaker 1: the time I started talking to my girlfriend, Like initially, ah,
- 20:22Speaker 1: and I've never been completely vulnerable to a person ever before,
- 20:26Speaker 1: like properly opened myself up to someone emotion wise, right.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Interesting, So that was like and so like you were
- 20:35Speaker 2: saying though, because so obviously day to day, I don't know,
- 20:38Speaker 2: you might just like do it, but you won't make
- 20:40Speaker 2: like an active, active decision to be vulnerable. No, So
- 20:44Speaker 2: while you were talking to her, was there there was
- 20:46Speaker 2: obviously a point in time where you were like, oh, well,
- 20:49Speaker 2: it's like I need to know if I want to
- 20:51Speaker 2: do this, Like I'm mean an erring.
- 20:52Speaker 1: There was definitely a switch. Yeah. And prior to meeting
- 20:56Speaker 1: my girlfriend Cassie, every other person I've talk to, I've
- 21:01Speaker 1: listened to that little voice in the back of my
- 21:02Speaker 1: head where I was like, nah, I won't open up.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Yeah nah. But something was different with Cassie, and I'll
- 21:11Speaker 1: put it down to love or the connection. And I
- 21:14Speaker 1: was like, I think I want to open up to
- 21:15Speaker 1: this woman. And I did it, and it was one
- 21:17Speaker 1: of the best decisions I've ever had in my life. Fuck, man,
- 21:21Speaker 1: do you think it had jerking?
- 21:23Speaker 2: It was because you guys couldn't when you first started talking,
- 21:25Speaker 2: you couldn't see each other. Mm So we were like
- 21:28Speaker 2: we were like, fuck, what else am I gonna talk?
- 21:31Speaker 2: Am I going to talk about?
- 21:34Speaker 1: I'm joking. I think it just honestly came down to
- 21:37Speaker 1: the right person.
- 21:38Speaker 2: At what point in time do you reckon you were
- 21:40Speaker 2: sitting there, like, because was there ever a point in
- 21:43Speaker 2: time where you thought like, oh, like I'm going to stop.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Talking to her or nah? Nah. There wasn't a point
- 21:49Speaker 1: in time where I was thinking like I should stop
- 21:51Speaker 1: talking to her. I just had that like do you
- 21:53Speaker 1: know when you're talking to someone new, like in the
- 21:55Speaker 1: talking stages, and there's that mental battle of like do
- 21:57Speaker 1: I want to be alone? Do I want to keep
- 21:59Speaker 1: talking to her? Yeah? Do I want to like make
- 22:01Speaker 1: the commitment? Like everyone has that that's related? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 22:05Speaker 1: And there's a lot, It is a lot, yeah yeah,
- 22:06Speaker 1: yeah yah yeah. And for some reason something just made
- 22:09Speaker 1: sense to open up emotionally and let her into my life. Yeah,
- 22:13Speaker 1: and like I've never let anyone in like that before, yeah,
- 22:16Speaker 1: which was like a good decision looking back at it, Fuck, man,
- 22:20Speaker 1: what about you? What about me? Then? Well, I've got
- 22:23Speaker 1: to say, I guess when I was started.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Talking to Beth, it would have been a time where
- 22:28Speaker 2: I'm the same decisions would have been made, I remember,
- 22:32Speaker 2: but I don't remember having any sort of mental battle
- 22:35Speaker 2: with it.
- 22:35Speaker 1: You know that switch. I talked about how I'd never
- 22:37Speaker 1: opened up to anyone before. Yeah, you've had girlfriends previously,
- 22:41Speaker 1: I've had Yeah for two. Do you reckon your switch
- 22:44Speaker 1: turns like my switch has a lot of grease on it.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:49Speaker 1: I was gonna say, do you think your switch like
- 22:51Speaker 1: turns on and off easier or do you think you
- 22:54Speaker 1: don't open up as much in previous relationships? Ah, that's
- 22:57Speaker 1: a good question.
- 22:58Speaker 2: I feel like maybe well, in previous relationships, I would say, not.
- 23:04Speaker 1: That they weren't serious. I don't know if it was
- 23:07Speaker 1: that like, I don't know if it was.
- 23:08Speaker 2: That they weren't serious, or if it was that maybe
- 23:11Speaker 2: just young, I don't know, it was weird like in
- 23:13Speaker 2: previous relationships, I would say, Okay, last time I was.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Vulnerable was probably when I was vulnerable with myself.
- 23:20Speaker 2: And then I guess also, like Beth included but maybe
- 23:24Speaker 2: when I made like the full on decision where I thought, oh, yeah,
- 23:27Speaker 2: I want to take the leap and live with Beth.
- 23:28Speaker 1: I'd never lived with a girl friend before. I don't
- 23:30Speaker 1: live with it yet, I was going to say, but
- 23:33Speaker 1: we made a conscious decision to do that.
- 23:35Speaker 2: So yeah, and we have a time of when, like
- 23:37Speaker 2: her leases up where she is now is when we'll
- 23:38Speaker 2: start looking because she'll go month to month from then
- 23:41Speaker 2: and then find a place. And yeah, she's the first
- 23:43Speaker 2: person where I've thought like, yeah, actually I want to
- 23:44Speaker 2: do it and not be scared because I had a
- 23:46Speaker 2: girlfriend once where we were together for long enough where
- 23:49Speaker 2: it could have been a thing, but I just was
- 23:52Speaker 2: like young, and it was like and I was like, nah,
- 23:53Speaker 2: I gotta fucking go travel on and so okay, basically
- 23:56Speaker 2: the thought I have now with Beth is like if
- 23:58Speaker 2: I was to go traveling for.
- 23:58Speaker 1: A long time, we'll best will come. Yeah. But when
- 24:01Speaker 1: I was a little younger, I was.
- 24:03Speaker 2: Like, I want to go travel for a long time,
- 24:04Speaker 2: like with Oddie, so you can't come.
- 24:07Speaker 1: It's like terrible to say out loud, but like you
- 24:09Speaker 1: know what I mean, Yeah, you're finding And it was
- 24:11Speaker 1: more of like.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Just like thinking like, no, why would I do that.
- 24:14Speaker 2: It's like I'm too young to like not have experiences
- 24:16Speaker 2: with our friends. But yeah, I mean plenty of people
- 24:19Speaker 2: probably do it from a young age, so I'd say maybe, yeah,
- 24:21Speaker 2: last time I was vulnerable when I was like, yeah.
- 24:23Speaker 1: You've obviously mad sured, But do you reckon? You know
- 24:25Speaker 1: how you had that toxic mindset and the argument at
- 24:28Speaker 1: the start do you reckon? When we're young, we have
- 24:30Speaker 1: that mindset a lot more about being independent and we've
- 24:33Speaker 1: got to figure out everything ourselves, and when we do
- 24:34Speaker 1: figure ourselves out, that's when we're able to be vulnerable. Yeah.
- 24:38Speaker 1: When I was young, I thought there was a right
- 24:40Speaker 1: way to do everything. Yeah.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Same, Yeah, and then when you get out even just
- 24:44Speaker 2: like I'm only a few years older now, and you
- 24:45Speaker 2: figure out obviously, like every every single way you do
- 24:49Speaker 2: something is the right way to do something because it's
- 24:51Speaker 2: your life. But at the time, I was like, no,
- 24:53Speaker 2: the right way to do it is like it's like, look,
- 24:55Speaker 2: I've got a girlfriend. Now, I'd love that girlfriend, but
- 24:58Speaker 2: the right way to do it is that I need
- 24:59Speaker 2: to go travel with my I need to be the
- 25:01Speaker 2: go alone or I need to go with a friend.
- 25:02Speaker 2: What everyone says you need to do that. Yeah, I
- 25:04Speaker 2: know everyone that's done that says you need to do it.
- 25:06Speaker 1: But what about the people that haven't done it. I
- 25:08Speaker 1: just haven't spoken to them. When we're young, we're so
- 25:10Speaker 1: like easily compromised.
- 25:12Speaker 2: Oh but me, yeah wait, I was I want I
- 25:18Speaker 2: don't know, I could watch a YouTube video.
- 25:21Speaker 1: I could watch a YouTube video and want to change
- 25:23Speaker 1: my career. Literally, I reckon that is so like my
- 25:26Speaker 1: fucking When.
- 25:27Speaker 2: I was like eighteen, I was like halfway through my
- 25:30Speaker 2: carpentry apprenticeship, and I knew and I was not liking it.
- 25:34Speaker 2: And I just I used to love watching YouTube. That
- 25:38Speaker 2: was like my little just you know, happy place or whatever.
- 25:40Speaker 2: As a lot of young people, I still like watching YouTube. Yeah,
- 25:43Speaker 2: and I just, for some reason up on my trending
- 25:45Speaker 2: page became this real estate guy. I started making vlogs,
- 25:48Speaker 2: and for him, it was obviously just to sell more
- 25:51Speaker 2: real estate, but he would just do a vlog every
- 25:53Speaker 2: now and then. I like, what it's like to be
- 25:54Speaker 2: a real estate agent, what I do? How much I
- 25:56Speaker 2: worried all this stuff, and I just I would just
- 25:57Speaker 2: watch all this guy's real estate agent flogs. I was
- 26:00Speaker 2: like dude, I want to have a crack at real.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Legit. I got fucking inforced by YouTube. I still have
- 26:07Speaker 1: to catch myself out now, Like even with comments, someone
- 26:10Speaker 1: will say, oh that was shit or like something like that,
- 26:12Speaker 1: and then I rethink our whole Yeah that's like literally,
- 26:16Speaker 1: but I have the like mental capacity to catch myself out.
- 26:18Speaker 1: But previously, when I was younger, old have been like
- 26:20Speaker 1: maybe I am shit.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Like what, no, fuck, I fully agree with you nice
- 26:24Speaker 2: scary stuff, I will. I refuse to read the social
- 26:29Speaker 2: media comments for that reason. Yeah, and we very recently started.
- 26:33Speaker 2: For what you're gonna say, I refuse to read full stuff.
- 26:39Speaker 1: I just fuck. I don't know what it is like.
- 26:41Speaker 2: I just refuse to read so the social media comments
- 26:43Speaker 2: for that exact reason, because.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Is this bad at that I've given you the job
- 26:46Speaker 1: of replying to YouTube? No? No, no YouTube. I don't mind.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I actually don't mind because we get all all
- 26:52Speaker 2: the comments on YouTube.
- 26:53Speaker 1: I reply to.
- 26:56Speaker 2: YouTube comments and they're all like quite nice, and I
- 26:58Speaker 2: don't want to let anything go in my head. But
- 27:00Speaker 2: it's like I would much prefer to see a comment
- 27:02Speaker 2: like loved this episode and I just say thanks, love
- 27:03Speaker 2: youa like instead of seeing someone go like just like
- 27:06Speaker 2: pick apart every little thing that I did. Like, you know,
- 27:10Speaker 2: when we when we record an episode per se, or
- 27:13Speaker 2: let's say an artist writes a song. I watched the
- 27:16Speaker 2: Vechy documentary. I watched it too. We'll talk about that
- 27:19Speaker 2: in a second. Okay, so let's we'll use us for example,
- 27:22Speaker 2: we record an episode that we're like, oh, we were
- 27:25Speaker 2: like thee where we recorded songs.
- 27:27Speaker 1: Yeah, we hope you translation and caught in my thoughts.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Yeah, we loved that episode because we would work into
- 27:32Speaker 2: the songs. Yeah, we got to listen to them. We
- 27:34Speaker 2: were all tough that we actually wrote a song. They're
- 27:36Speaker 2: like some of the worst performing episodes. Yeah, and we
- 27:39Speaker 2: were like, well fuck, like yeah, and if they did well,
- 27:41Speaker 2: what's the bet we would have written two more by now?
- 27:44Speaker 1: You know what I mean. It's so funny. I wanted
- 27:46Speaker 1: to talk to you about this off the podcast about
- 27:48Speaker 1: a vach how fuck.
- 27:49Speaker 2: It, let's talk about the past. It's so good, it's
- 27:52Speaker 2: it's so sad, it's depressing as fuck.
- 27:55Speaker 1: But what you just brought up I wanted to bring
- 27:57Speaker 1: up off the pot and it was that I wanted
- 27:59Speaker 1: to create something that makes us feel something yeah, and
- 28:04Speaker 1: makes the people listening feel something, feel something, which is
- 28:06Speaker 1: like the songs, like we made that because we felt
- 28:09Speaker 1: love for what we were doing exactly. Yeah. And then
- 28:11Speaker 1: I think that's such a better way to make content.
- 28:13Speaker 1: And that's why his songs are so good, because he
- 28:15Speaker 1: made his feelings come out through his songs and he
- 28:18Speaker 1: made people feel the same way he was feeling. And
- 28:20Speaker 1: that's what I want to do with this like content.
- 28:22Speaker 1: And the last six months we've talked about being lost
- 28:24Speaker 1: and like we're doing things for like views and money,
- 28:27Speaker 1: and other people were saying this is what you had
- 28:29Speaker 1: to do, yeah, and like we weren't doing it because
- 28:31Speaker 1: this is what we love. Yeah.
- 28:32Speaker 2: No, we all the advice we were getting, we were like, fuck,
- 28:35Speaker 2: well we probably need to take it, yeah, even though
- 28:37Speaker 2: it's like our gut's telling us, nah, that wouldn't be
- 28:39Speaker 2: that fun, yeah, exactly.
- 28:41Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 28:41Speaker 2: There must be times in places in this world where
- 28:43Speaker 2: advice where it isn't what it feels good in your gut,
- 28:46Speaker 2: is good.
- 28:46Speaker 1: But I don't know.
- 28:48Speaker 2: I'm I'm going to live by go with your guy
- 28:50Speaker 2: one hundred percent, but I mean you try to put
- 28:52Speaker 2: the vechi thing on the other night and she just goes, oh,
- 28:54Speaker 2: like I heard that's good, exact same thing out of
- 28:57Speaker 2: that's really good, and I go, oh, sick a looking
- 28:59Speaker 2: sickt And I didn't realize, Man, I remember his songs,
- 29:06Speaker 2: I remember when he died.
- 29:07Speaker 1: I actually remember that the news had lights time out
- 29:09Speaker 1: of when he died. I didn't realize, dude, little warning.
- 29:12Speaker 1: I didn't realize that he like properly killed himself. Mate,
- 29:16Speaker 1: he fucking apparently he did it with a shot of glass.
- 29:19Speaker 1: It was wine bottle. Oh yeah, we looked it up.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Fucking insane, So so I thought it was a drug over.
- 29:25Speaker 2: It must get homann or some shit.
- 29:27Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, And it like really was really sad and
- 29:30Speaker 1: a little bit confronting, and like his career was so
- 29:33Speaker 1: amazing and he just didn't have a good group of
- 29:36Speaker 1: friends around him. There's the scene, so everyone in that documentary,
- 29:40Speaker 1: I had a bad vibe about really every single one.
- 29:44Speaker 1: His best friend, his other friend.
- 29:45Speaker 2: The best friend that like laughed like that guy was Sus.
- 29:49Speaker 1: His manager, His manager was Sus.
- 29:51Speaker 2: Okay, his manager was Sus even though everyone said he wasn't. Yeah,
- 29:56Speaker 2: and then what about that dude that like was kind
- 30:00Speaker 2: of just sitting on the lamps like this, talking like this,
- 30:01Speaker 2: like he was on drugs and he couldn't really speak.
- 30:05Speaker 2: I was like, this guy, apparently they're like best friends,
- 30:07Speaker 2: and I was just like, the vibe you get from
- 30:09Speaker 2: a Vicy's voice in this whole thing compared to everyone
- 30:12Speaker 2: else's is like and what a VICH was saying, he's
- 30:14Speaker 2: like doesn't match the vibe.
- 30:16Speaker 1: No, not at all. But my takeaway from it was
- 30:19Speaker 1: like he was like the top of the pyramid and
- 30:21Speaker 1: then just like petered down and everyone was like using
- 30:24Speaker 1: him to the best of their ability because he was
- 30:26Speaker 1: so skilled.
- 30:27Speaker 2: But it seemed like to me at the point where
- 30:29Speaker 2: he finally was like because they had an intervention with him,
- 30:33Speaker 2: Like it wasn't like an Elvis thing, where so like
- 30:35Speaker 2: with Elvis and shit, he was on drugs to keep
- 30:38Speaker 2: him going, and so was a VICH.
- 30:39Speaker 1: His name is Tim, and so it was Tim.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Whereas the ELK with Elvis, all of his management, even
- 30:44Speaker 2: his family and stuff like that, they wanted that to
- 30:48Speaker 2: keep going because of how much money he was making
- 30:50Speaker 2: and how much he was making there.
- 30:51Speaker 1: But with with a VICH, they actually had an intervention
- 30:54Speaker 1: with him of like no, no, no, we want It
- 30:56Speaker 1: wasn't a money thing.
- 30:56Speaker 2: It wasn't amazing, so I don't think it was a
- 30:58Speaker 2: full money thing. But like, for instance, he one of
- 31:03Speaker 2: the best scenes in the show is like, so I
- 31:05Speaker 2: didn't realize how big he was.
- 31:06Speaker 1: Man, he fucking was. I didn't realize how much he
- 31:08Speaker 1: blew up out of nowhere.
- 31:10Speaker 2: He was like eighteen and then like his his fame,
- 31:13Speaker 2: he's eighteen to twenty nine. He died when he was
- 31:15Speaker 2: twenty nine, yeah, or something like that. So for ten years,
- 31:17Speaker 2: it's not a long, very long time. So like from
- 31:19Speaker 2: eighteen he was nobody.
- 31:20Speaker 1: Yeah, and to go up he was the biggest in
- 31:23Speaker 1: the world. Barck Obama said his name listening to like
- 31:25Speaker 1: one of his songs. Yeah, that's crazy.
- 31:27Speaker 2: They've got like fucking Tiesto in there, and they've got
- 31:30Speaker 2: David Gadder. Yeah, and David Gadder's in there doing like well.
- 31:33Speaker 2: When he showed me this album, I knew the world.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Was going to change. He just saw things in a
- 31:37Speaker 1: different way than anybody musically, and it was mane. He
- 31:40Speaker 1: was so talented in the way like we're able to
- 31:42Speaker 1: see how his brains sort of thought, and then the
- 31:44Speaker 1: music that came out of it, like because he created
- 31:46Speaker 1: when they were showing the live like recordings of singing
- 31:50Speaker 1: all the songs like hey.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Brother, insane and so if each he doesn't like he's
- 31:55Speaker 2: not a lyricist, he admits he's like, I don't play instruments.
- 31:58Speaker 1: I don't know how to write songs.
- 31:59Speaker 2: But when I get like the right beat and stuff
- 32:03Speaker 2: from the computer stuff, and then when someone he's like,
- 32:07Speaker 2: I know the melody, I want something sang in. And
- 32:10Speaker 2: every single person that was like a massive, massive star
- 32:13Speaker 2: was like, I've never met anyone that has melody like him. Yeah,
- 32:16Speaker 2: I've never met a single person that can that can
- 32:18Speaker 2: get a melody out of me like ag and.
- 32:21Speaker 1: The way he made those other people sound yes, because
- 32:25Speaker 1: like you hear the live versions of them singing like
- 32:27Speaker 1: this is okay, nothing special. Then you hear the song
- 32:29Speaker 1: and you're like, how the fuck did he do that?
- 32:33Speaker 2: It's fucking brilliant.
- 32:35Speaker 1: You hear that bloke singing live, you're like, this is
- 32:36Speaker 1: so mid And then you hear the song, You're like,
- 32:39Speaker 1: this is one of the best songs I've heard my life. Mate,
- 32:40Speaker 1: It's crazy.
- 32:41Speaker 2: Where it got me though, was like, so he blew
- 32:46Speaker 2: up started obviously, he was like in clubs and then
- 32:49Speaker 2: bigger clubs, and then in like amphitheaters and then big
- 32:53Speaker 2: outdoor amphitheaters, and he was doing shows them all these people.
- 32:56Speaker 2: And then he was like headlining ultra like massive like
- 32:59Speaker 2: DM festivals, and.
- 33:02Speaker 1: So he was.
- 33:02Speaker 2: He starts going on about how he's like, I was
- 33:05Speaker 2: living the dream to what everyone else looking in thought, right,
- 33:09Speaker 2: And he was like, and I was living my dream
- 33:11Speaker 2: as well, and he's just like, but I just was.
- 33:14Speaker 2: He's like, I've never done it for the money, and
- 33:16Speaker 2: I just wasn't happy.
- 33:18Speaker 1: And the thing that.
- 33:18Speaker 2: Stuck with me the most was when he goes, he goes,
- 33:21Speaker 2: I've never done it for the money. As soon as
- 33:23Speaker 2: I could get a cab anywhere I wanted without worrying
- 33:26Speaker 2: about it. Is when I was like happy with the
- 33:28Speaker 2: amount of freedom I had, and I was like, and
- 33:30Speaker 2: now you can fly hen fly in private jets and shit.
- 33:33Speaker 1: That resonated with me so much as well, because it's
- 33:35Speaker 1: so easy, like anybody listening to get caught up in
- 33:38Speaker 1: how much money you can earn in certain jobs, and
- 33:40Speaker 1: like especially for us as well, because it's such a
- 33:43Speaker 1: it's a bit of a similar industry what we're in.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Just like how you earn money is with like yeah,
- 33:47Speaker 1: Brandel's views whatever views listen, same, same sort of stuff.
- 33:50Speaker 1: And when he said that too, and I was like wow,
- 33:52Speaker 1: like that's such a good takeaway message, like as soon
- 33:54Speaker 1: as we're able to live off doing this, like I
- 33:58Speaker 1: don't care about like a man and a Lamborghini, Like
- 34:01Speaker 1: I just want to be able to live and do
- 34:02Speaker 1: this day.
- 34:02Speaker 2: Yeah, it's fucking crazy. Like you can tell he is experience.
- 34:06Speaker 2: He experienced what a lot of people experience where it's
- 34:08Speaker 2: like and and I obviously like we're not at that level,
- 34:13Speaker 2: but I just I would like I want to catch
- 34:14Speaker 2: it before we get there.
- 34:15Speaker 1: And it's like.
- 34:17Speaker 2: He was saying yes to a lot of things he
- 34:20Speaker 2: wouldn't have wanted to say yes too, because he thought
- 34:24Speaker 2: that's what he had to do. So it's like whenever
- 34:27Speaker 2: we do have a moment of like do we really
- 34:29Speaker 2: align with this brand or do weah, it's like I
- 34:32Speaker 2: would much prefer to just like be like no, I
- 34:35Speaker 2: don't care how much money it is, Like I don't
- 34:37Speaker 2: want to just like do something that's going to make
- 34:39Speaker 2: me feel like shit just because they've thrown a big
- 34:42Speaker 2: fucking paycheck in your face.
- 34:43Speaker 1: And like he said, don't lose yourself. What do you
- 34:46Speaker 1: say that?
- 34:47Speaker 2: He said something He said something about like there's like
- 34:51Speaker 2: an art in staying true to yourself or I have
- 34:55Speaker 2: no idea, but he basically is just like no matter what,
- 34:57Speaker 2: just be you trying to say that.
- 34:59Speaker 1: I think like the best role model Weekend Lookout is
- 35:02Speaker 1: Hamish and Andy. I was thinking about Hamy Shandy while
- 35:04Speaker 1: I was watching this, because we've talked to them, like
- 35:06Speaker 1: we talked to Andy once, yeah, and like we consume
- 35:10Speaker 1: all their content and they really they're one of the
- 35:13Speaker 1: biggest like duos in Australia. Yeah, and they would have
- 35:16Speaker 1: had the decision to make like to go like global
- 35:19Speaker 1: and take it to America and become like a list celebrities.
- 35:21Speaker 1: They were at that stage where they could have done it,
- 35:23Speaker 1: and they stayed true to himself and said, now we
- 35:25Speaker 1: learned it. We earn enough money and we do what
- 35:27Speaker 1: we want and we do what we love, Like why
- 35:28Speaker 1: don't we just keep doing that in Australia and like
- 35:30Speaker 1: have the sickest life ever. It's fucking crazy, Like they
- 35:33Speaker 1: caught themselves out at that point Whereout is rising the
- 35:36Speaker 1: fame and it's so smart, like they've been offered more
- 35:38Speaker 1: money for the even just like the podcast they do
- 35:40Speaker 1: now yeah, and they're like nah, just with yeah, like
- 35:44Speaker 1: we have a good system and it makes me right.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Now cut yourself out, cut yourself out. And I mean
- 35:52Speaker 1: to be fair, you and I actually aren't too bad.
- 35:54Speaker 2: Like I think we were open about it on the
- 35:56Speaker 2: podcast when you Talk and we had chats with distribution networks. Yeah,
- 36:02Speaker 2: and like they offer you, some of them off you
- 36:03Speaker 2: a minimum guarantee and it's kind of nice to see
- 36:06Speaker 2: that where you're like, oh, then you know exactly how
- 36:08Speaker 2: much minimum.
- 36:08Speaker 1: Yeah, you're going to get every month, and you kind
- 36:10Speaker 1: of like, oh, that'd be nice. But we just kind
- 36:12Speaker 1: of were like, oh, there's something of artwork and doing
- 36:17Speaker 1: it yourself, isn't it. Yeah, we're still an independent podcast,
- 36:19Speaker 1: and we made that decision because we actually love doing it.
- 36:22Speaker 1: Like with those networks, you hand off certain jobs and
- 36:25Speaker 1: like recording and editing and everything like that, and like
- 36:27Speaker 1: it's good maybe in the long run when we want
- 36:29Speaker 1: to have kids and family and we need money, but
- 36:31Speaker 1: we don't need money. We just need enough to live,
- 36:33Speaker 1: pay rent, pay for the pay the bills, and then
- 36:35Speaker 1: we're happy. So we're like fuck it. Let's just stay
- 36:37Speaker 1: independent and have fun and enjoy I suppose the process
- 36:40Speaker 1: of being vulnerable taking it back around circle is like
- 36:43Speaker 1: I feel like we're enjoying the process and like being
- 36:48Speaker 1: happy having the hustle. Oh yeah, no, And I'm so
- 36:52Speaker 1: appreciative of it.
- 36:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I've been trying to be a lot more appreciative
- 36:55Speaker 2: of it, appreciative of it lately. Like our biggest issue is, like,
- 37:00Speaker 2: I don't know, losing an episode.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I think it's good to like catch yourself
- 37:06Speaker 1: out when you're like, because it's so easy to get
- 37:09Speaker 1: stuck in that hustle, that mindset of being so tough.
- 37:11Speaker 1: And also that documentary was really good and like there's
- 37:14Speaker 1: so many good takeaways.
- 37:15Speaker 2: Very very sad though, yeah, very sad. I knew what
- 37:17Speaker 2: was coming, still sad. I just didn't know how it happened.
- 37:20Speaker 1: I'm like, oh my god, Yeah I knew.
- 37:22Speaker 2: I yeah, you can tell when they were leading up
- 37:24Speaker 2: to it. I just didn't think that when that guy
- 37:26Speaker 2: goes so he flew to Oman and that was the
- 37:29Speaker 2: last time I ever spoke to him.
- 37:30Speaker 1: Yeah, and I was like, did you want to cry? No,
- 37:33Speaker 1: Cassi did? Did she know? Dude?
- 37:35Speaker 2: I could have they when they were showing the video
- 37:37Speaker 2: of the big massive funeral they had in that stadium.
- 37:39Speaker 1: I couldn't have gone to that. I couldn't have gone to that.
- 37:40Speaker 1: There was they just had videos of people's faces crying. Yeah. No,
- 37:43Speaker 1: so sadly, okay, I.
- 37:51Speaker 2: Brought something to the table for this episode, mate, and
- 37:55Speaker 2: I saw one comment talking about I thought we talking
- 37:57Speaker 2: about comments that we were talking about earlier. I saw
- 38:01Speaker 2: one comment a couple months ago. He said somewhere, what
- 38:03Speaker 2: do you guys want to see in the episodes? And
- 38:04Speaker 2: one person said bring back Reddit segments.
- 38:07Speaker 1: This is going to be Jake for like the next
- 38:09Speaker 1: couple weeks. So I saw one comment say no more.
- 38:13Speaker 1: I saw don't take advantage of this guy. I don't
- 38:17Speaker 1: take advantage of him.
- 38:17Speaker 2: I'm a hamster read it is my wheel, okay, but
- 38:20Speaker 2: I did find a good one. So I found it
- 38:26Speaker 2: was the question on Reddit was people who let their
- 38:29Speaker 2: intrusive thoughts win?
- 38:30Speaker 1: What did you do?
- 38:32Speaker 2: And there was some good a couple of good ones,
- 38:34Speaker 2: and then I've got three of my own okay that
- 38:36Speaker 2: I remember doing just when I was younger. So people
- 38:40Speaker 2: who let their intrusive thoughts win? What did you do?
- 38:42Speaker 1: This guy said, I didn't pull out. Now I have
- 38:45Speaker 1: a kid. I did not see that coming. Oh yeah,
- 38:53Speaker 1: that is an intrusive thought. I know we only have
- 38:56Speaker 1: ten percent listeners, but my god, is that related? Yeah?
- 39:01Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I don't know. I mean every now and then,
- 39:03Speaker 2: like I gotta say, like I reckon. Girls would probably
- 39:07Speaker 2: be like maybe he's about to say, like I'm about
- 39:09Speaker 2: to finish, and.
- 39:10Speaker 1: She'll go fuck it, just do it in me. Oh.
- 39:12Speaker 1: I couldn't hear those words, by the way, but that's
- 39:13Speaker 1: the hardest thing. I'd finished quickly to finish, and like,
- 39:17Speaker 1: you've got to make the conscious decision when your whole
- 39:19Speaker 1: body's tonguing. No, yeah, you know you're like, think of
- 39:22Speaker 1: the future. Sometimes you're like, I wouldn't mind a little bit.
- 39:29Speaker 1: I've never thought of that. Fuck people who let their
- 39:35Speaker 1: intrusive thoughts win. What did you do?
- 39:37Speaker 2: Two days after I turned eighteen, I got a tattoo
- 39:41Speaker 2: below my hip that says, in quotes, eat me.
- 39:44Speaker 1: Oh oh god, I shouldn't have let that one win.
- 39:48Speaker 1: Shouldn't have let that win.
- 39:49Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that was a mental battle. You've lost, eat me.
- 39:52Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 39:54Speaker 1: Okay.
- 39:56Speaker 2: After my husband cheated, I grilled some of his football memorabilia.
- 40:02Speaker 2: Don't worry, the grill was unharmed. I took his phone
- 40:05Speaker 2: out of his pocket, texted his girlfriend as him told
- 40:10Speaker 2: her to quit her job.
- 40:11Speaker 1: She did? What that? Maybe I don't think that's an
- 40:19Speaker 1: intrusive thought. It that's called revenge? Yeah? I think this
- 40:23Speaker 1: is just called revenge.
- 40:24Speaker 2: Is it taking it too far to tell the person
- 40:29Speaker 2: that he was cheating with to quit their job as
- 40:31Speaker 2: him to.
- 40:32Speaker 1: Be like, I'm gonna come take care of you, like
- 40:33Speaker 1: I'm leaving my wife. I think I'm all for Like
- 40:36Speaker 1: I would kind of feel good. Oh yeah, you would
- 40:38Speaker 1: feel good. I feel more for like life takes revenge
- 40:41Speaker 1: rather than you taking revenge. Yeah, like that'll get what's theirs?
- 40:45Speaker 1: I mean? Yeah? True?
- 40:46Speaker 2: I mean but if I can, if I can speed
- 40:48Speaker 2: that up. People who let their intrusive thoughts win, What
- 40:54Speaker 2: did you do? I was left alone for a couple
- 40:57Speaker 2: of minutes in a friend's house and I licked one
- 40:59Speaker 2: of those pink salt lamps.
- 41:02Speaker 1: It was exactly like I was hoping, And I know
- 41:05Speaker 1: I won't be able to buy one for myself now.
- 41:09Speaker 1: I always one of the pink salt they like.
- 41:12Speaker 2: It's just like a full block assault with a light.
- 41:14Speaker 1: In it and the salt like sweats, Yeah, saying that's
- 41:17Speaker 1: kind of cool. I always, I was gonna say, I
- 41:18Speaker 1: always have the intrusive thought of synism in like a
- 41:20Speaker 1: friend's house or something that leave me in their bedroom
- 41:22Speaker 1: or something. I'm like, I feel like I need to
- 41:24Speaker 1: go for their draws or something to stop. No way, obviously,
- 41:28Speaker 1: never do it. Joanna, you better not high stuff.
- 41:33Speaker 2: Kidding, kidding, she doesn't listen to this, But I have
- 41:35Speaker 2: gone into Juanna's room once and stolen some coat hangers
- 41:38Speaker 2: and I was like, drawers open.
- 41:42Speaker 1: I don't even know what's in my drawer right. Oh,
- 41:44Speaker 1: my dad's of accumulation.
- 41:46Speaker 2: My dad might be coming to stay here tomorrow for
- 41:48Speaker 2: two nights because he has to do something at his
- 41:50Speaker 2: like local hospital before it gets transferred up to Queensland.
- 41:53Speaker 2: And he and I'm gonna let him stay in my
- 41:55Speaker 2: bed because he has like a bad back.
- 41:56Speaker 1: And see Pa breathing sun. Does he ever think we should? Yeah?
- 42:06Speaker 1: And so I'm going to sleep on the lounge. When
- 42:08Speaker 1: your dad is a sleepover. He has like his bag
- 42:09Speaker 1: of clothes and he has his sneep asleep avery machine.
- 42:12Speaker 1: He takes it overseas really he takes it. He took
- 42:15Speaker 1: it camping once. That's how's your power? Had to bring
- 42:18Speaker 1: a battery? That's such an it is such at least
- 42:22Speaker 1: he uses.
- 42:22Speaker 2: He gets a good sleep, brings that everywhere, and so
- 42:26Speaker 2: I'm going to sleep on the lounge.
- 42:28Speaker 1: But the last thing I want is my dad leaned over.
- 42:30Speaker 1: He just goes through my drawers. Oh yeah, yeah, the
- 42:34Speaker 1: moving it. Yeah, okay, should leave a little note and
- 42:38Speaker 1: be like dad, don't in case, I should get a hold.
- 42:41Speaker 2: Actually get a bit of cardboard and cut it to
- 42:43Speaker 2: the perfect size of the open drawer and just ride
- 42:45Speaker 2: in text.
- 42:46Speaker 1: He thought you'd look to block everything. Lost my trust,
- 42:50Speaker 1: get out? Okay. People who let their intrusive thoughts me in.
- 42:55Speaker 1: What did you do?
- 42:56Speaker 2: Not my intrusive thought? But when I was a kid,
- 42:58Speaker 2: my friend and I were sitting in a sauna when
- 43:00Speaker 2: he said, what would happen if I piss on the
- 43:03Speaker 2: hot rocks? And it turns out it just makes the
- 43:06Speaker 2: entire complex smell like burnt piss.
- 43:08Speaker 1: I would have known that and immediately gets you bare.
- 43:10Speaker 1: That is so dumb. That is the dumberest whenever.
- 43:14Speaker 2: This.
- 43:14Speaker 1: Okay, people who let their intrusive thoughts win what did
- 43:16Speaker 1: you do last? One? From Reddit?
- 43:18Speaker 2: I snorted a packet of chicken noodle seasoning in high school.
- 43:21Speaker 2: One time I've had that intrusive thought, lost the use
- 43:24Speaker 2: of a nostril for a week. Everything smelled like chicken
- 43:27Speaker 2: soup as well. That's kind of a win, to be fair.
- 43:32Speaker 2: Your smell is like more than half of your taste,
- 43:34Speaker 2: is it not? You could eat anything. I've told you
- 43:36Speaker 2: my story. When I'm in year six, I was gonna
- 43:40Speaker 2: say off that I have a Sherbet story.
- 43:41Speaker 1: Yeah. Really.
- 43:42Speaker 2: One time in year seven I had a friend over
- 43:45Speaker 2: for a sleepover and he was about to leave, and
- 43:48Speaker 2: for some reason we decided to snort Sherbet.
- 43:50Speaker 1: Straws I did in year six.
- 43:51Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, so we decided to snort Sherbert straws. We
- 43:54Speaker 2: both got got the flu. Yeah, we both got sick
- 43:58Speaker 2: as fire.
- 43:58Speaker 1: Remember I got a mad running yeah yeah yeah yeah.
- 44:01Speaker 1: Fucked us up. Sorry, fucked us up now thinking about it. Okay,
- 44:07Speaker 1: I have.
- 44:07Speaker 2: Three personal ones, girl, Okay, it's my own personal intrusive
- 44:12Speaker 2: thoughts and win.
- 44:13Speaker 1: I let these win.
- 44:14Speaker 2: One time, I think I've told this before a while ago.
- 44:17Speaker 1: One time I was home.
- 44:18Speaker 2: Sick from school and my mom took me to a
- 44:20Speaker 2: bakery and to get me something to eat.
- 44:24Speaker 1: And I was sick with the flu.
- 44:27Speaker 2: She brought me in and she was like, don't touch anything,
- 44:29Speaker 2: and she's ordering and I turned around and in Canada,
- 44:32Speaker 2: like you when you get a coffee, it's just a
- 44:34Speaker 2: black coffee. You turn around and you do what You
- 44:36Speaker 2: mix everything over on another bench. And I look over
- 44:38Speaker 2: at that bench and there was a cup of straws
- 44:40Speaker 2: and I was like that.
- 44:41Speaker 1: I was like, I have to and.
- 44:42Speaker 2: I just want to like this, and I picked up
- 44:43Speaker 2: every single Oh my god, my mom turns around, she goes,
- 44:46Speaker 2: what are you doing? And she had to pick up
- 44:48Speaker 2: the fucking couple of straws, take it over and be like,
- 44:50Speaker 2: I'm so sorry. My son has a flu and he
- 44:51Speaker 2: just touched all of your straws.
- 44:53Speaker 1: Oh my god. What a good mom. Yeah, so good
- 44:55Speaker 1: thing she didn't like to spread the flu. I was
- 44:56Speaker 1: a parent of let's get out. Okay. This is another
- 45:01Speaker 1: intrusive thought that I.
- 45:02Speaker 2: Had when when I was younger again, I was living
- 45:05Speaker 2: in Canada. I scratched my name into my mum's car
- 45:09Speaker 2: with my fingernails. No, you did it because I wanted
- 45:11Speaker 2: to see if it would work. Oh, and I got caught.
- 45:15Speaker 2: And the way I got caught was like I didn't
- 45:17Speaker 2: get caught in the act. But I remember my stepdad.
- 45:20Speaker 2: He comes in and he calls my name and he's like, Jake,
- 45:22Speaker 2: come here. And I didn't know I was in trouble.
- 45:24Speaker 2: And he takes me out to the garage and he
- 45:26Speaker 2: goes on. He looks out, he points out it and
- 45:27Speaker 2: he goes, did you do that? And I was like no.
- 45:29Speaker 1: He was like, yes you did, Jake, Jake, I wrote
- 45:32Speaker 1: my name. No, yes you did. He's like, yes you did.
- 45:36Speaker 1: And I was like no.
- 45:37Speaker 2: He's like and I was like, I just want to
- 45:38Speaker 2: see if it works or whatever, and he goes, it's
- 45:40Speaker 2: gonna take some real elbow grease to get that out.
- 45:42Speaker 1: Today I found out what elber grease was. Ah, it
- 45:44Speaker 1: was a weird He taught me something.
- 45:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll tell you one thing didn't get it out.
- 45:49Speaker 1: This one's fucked. This last one's fucked. Okay.
- 45:52Speaker 2: I was in I would have been like thirteen, and
- 45:55Speaker 2: so if I'm thirteen, my younger brother would have been
- 45:59Speaker 2: four or yeah, I think it would have been about four.
- 46:02Speaker 1: Okay.
- 46:03Speaker 2: So we were walking, we were on a little holiday
- 46:06Speaker 2: somewhere and we were going for a walk to a
- 46:08Speaker 2: cafe and my dad was in front of me, my
- 46:10Speaker 2: little brother was next to me, and I was behind him.
- 46:12Speaker 2: And my little brother starts to walk along this like
- 46:15Speaker 2: garden bed little thing to balance walking line. For some reason,
- 46:20Speaker 2: I thought it would be a good idea to kick
- 46:22Speaker 2: out his back foot and he just ate shit, bro
- 46:26Speaker 2: and he just literally and I was just like, I
- 46:28Speaker 2: did it and I.
- 46:28Speaker 1: Didn't even like.
- 46:30Speaker 2: The intrusive thought took over, like a demon took over
- 46:33Speaker 2: my body, and I kicked out his back foot. He falls,
- 46:35Speaker 2: he trips over, gets a cut, and my dad's like,
- 46:37Speaker 2: what the fuck did you do that for?
- 46:39Speaker 1: And I was like, I actually don't know. I think
- 46:41Speaker 1: I've done something similar. I was like, I actually have
- 46:43Speaker 1: no idea. I just had to see if it would work.
- 46:45Speaker 2: It was the intrusive thought that legit, I don't I
- 46:48Speaker 2: actually don't know what overcame me that day.
- 46:49Speaker 1: I think the only one I can think of off
- 46:51Speaker 1: the top of my head, which is like reoccurring. He's like,
- 46:54Speaker 1: is that hot? And I know it's hot? And I
- 46:56Speaker 1: touched anyway then, but my finger like two many noodles,
- 46:59Speaker 1: like the hot water is it hot? And obviously? Yeah, water,
- 47:03Speaker 1: I do it with that. I do it with my oats.
- 47:05Speaker 1: This morning, I was like, that's hot, but I'll be fine.
- 47:08Speaker 1: Yeah my tongue. I always do it with the fucking
- 47:11Speaker 1: air fryer. Yeah, so what I go to pick something
- 47:13Speaker 1: out of it? Same like, I don't want to get
- 47:15Speaker 1: a parent hold obviously it's been two hundred degrees for
- 47:18Speaker 1: past twelve and so long. And then you're like, is
- 47:21Speaker 1: that hot? Obviously?
- 47:23Speaker 2: And then your mom's like, oh would you do? It's
- 47:24Speaker 2: like nothing, Oh, man, I reckon. I've got to have
- 47:27Speaker 2: more intrusive thoughts that I've let win.
- 47:28Speaker 1: But I just same. I can one.
- 47:31Speaker 2: Maybe we should try and think of a few. What
- 47:33Speaker 2: what's everyone's intrusive thoughts they've let win? We should make
- 47:36Speaker 2: that an ig question one day. I could be or
- 47:37Speaker 2: comment below this is here, comment below what intrusive thoughts?
- 47:41Speaker 1: Read them so you'll get excited reading it.
- 47:43Speaker 2: So YouTube, I'll read Spotify audio reads. We'll both bring
- 47:46Speaker 2: our own intrusive list of intrusive thoughts to the episode.
- 47:49Speaker 1: I like that. I like that a lot, Bodie.
- 47:56Speaker 2: I have to give credit where credit is due, all right.
- 48:00Speaker 1: A couple months ago. Odie comes to me, says, got
- 48:04Speaker 1: a coach. Yeah. I was like, fuck ship, Like I'm
- 48:08Speaker 1: doing a cut. I want to get as like as
- 48:09Speaker 1: actually cut as I've.
- 48:10Speaker 2: Ever been, Like I want to be as ripped as
- 48:12Speaker 2: I've ever been.
- 48:13Speaker 1: And I like, hadn't. I just like was like, obviously
- 48:16Speaker 1: that's sweet, Like you know, I believe in you. Yeah.
- 48:18Speaker 2: Cool, And just like every now and then, I don't know,
- 48:21Speaker 2: just like I haven't asked how it's going. I think
- 48:24Speaker 2: I've asked, like what's the training, Like it's different, you
- 48:26Speaker 2: like the training like you're doing your videos. I watched
- 48:29Speaker 2: your videos, like, wait, if anyone here has any sort
- 48:32Speaker 2: of connecting to men's health, Like, what the fuck are
- 48:34Speaker 2: you doing?
- 48:35Speaker 1: Yeah? They did get me on the front cover. Such
- 48:36Speaker 1: a bullshit. Yeah, hit us up, us up, hit up and.
- 48:42Speaker 2: On the front. The first actual progress photo I saw
- 48:47Speaker 2: was yesterday on your story.
- 48:49Speaker 1: And bro, what the fuck? Thanks man?
- 48:50Speaker 2: Put it up for you.
- 48:51Speaker 1: You edit this. I'm gonna make kids more editing. Put
- 48:53Speaker 1: it up on the screen. I could do that. He's
- 48:55Speaker 1: fucking good. How do you feel, thanks man? Yeah, you
- 48:59Speaker 1: should feel good. I actually bringing it back to like
- 49:02Speaker 1: vulnerability and enjoying the process. It's really really hard to
- 49:06Speaker 1: enjoy the process of losing weight. Fair yeah, fair. Also
- 49:10Speaker 1: because I see myself every single day. You obviously you
- 49:13Speaker 1: don't see me every single day with my shirt off.
- 49:15Speaker 1: I hope not. Anyway, I know where you live. But when.
- 49:21Speaker 1: Because my coach sent me that photo before he posted
- 49:23Speaker 1: it that I shared his reshared his story, I was like,
- 49:26Speaker 1: oh shit, I have been doing some work.
- 49:28Speaker 2: It's fucking night and day.
- 49:29Speaker 1: Yeah. And it's in the same bathroom, the same lighting
- 49:32Speaker 1: and everything. There was no tricks played. It's so it's crazy. Yeah.
- 49:36Speaker 1: It's almost five kilos down in six weeks. That's insane.
- 49:40Speaker 1: And it looks like it's only fat being lost, yeah,
- 49:43Speaker 1: which is really really good. It's a little shorter in
- 49:45Speaker 1: the second one. Mate. The fat makes you look bigger
- 49:49Speaker 1: than mate, looks bigger than I am, bigger everywhere. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 49:52Speaker 1: but thank you very much. Man. I'm I want to
- 49:55Speaker 1: say I'm enjoying the process. I'm enjoying the results. Yes,
- 49:57Speaker 1: the process is very very hard. The good thing about that.
- 50:01Speaker 2: Is is it pro feels good that you stick in
- 50:03Speaker 2: to it.
- 50:03Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. And after that photo and
- 50:06Speaker 1: like you and a couple other people swiped up saying
- 50:08Speaker 1: you look great and stuff like. It's obviously motivated me
- 50:11Speaker 1: even more. And my goal to get on the front
- 50:13Speaker 1: cover of Men's Health is actually motivating me a lot,
- 50:16Speaker 1: because sometimes I'm thinking, like, fuck, this last week that
- 50:18Speaker 1: just went by, I was struggling with my diet. Like
- 50:21Speaker 1: the first five weeks, I was cheering, I was motivated.
- 50:23Speaker 1: This last week I was like, fuck, I just want
- 50:24Speaker 1: to eat that really? Yeah, like like an all time low.
- 50:26Speaker 1: I'm talking my coach. I don't know if it's it's
- 50:28Speaker 1: appropriate to telling you my libido's gone way down. Ah,
- 50:32Speaker 1: well you know why? Yeah, yeah, I know why. I
- 50:35Speaker 1: was thinking, like is there anything you could do, like
- 50:37Speaker 1: foods like fat white or something. I don't know. It's
- 50:39Speaker 1: like your a little prescription for something. I no, no,
- 50:41Speaker 1: don't you have you got something? Is is that what
- 50:46Speaker 1: those eyes we before? But this last week I had
- 50:50Speaker 1: like an all time shift. I think in like food,
- 50:52Speaker 1: I've been struggling your bodies, like I need food. And
- 50:54Speaker 1: then really my libido. Normally I'm quite high on the
- 50:57Speaker 1: old libido scale, and this week I was like, I
- 50:59Speaker 1: just I'm no horny at all, like ever, wow, which
- 51:03Speaker 1: is like very unusual for me, even like when I'm
- 51:05Speaker 1: with my girlfriend, I'm always I'm like, well I know
- 51:06Speaker 1: why obviously, yeah yah, yeah yeah, And I'm like, well,
- 51:08Speaker 1: this is a bit weird. She annoyed or is she
- 51:09Speaker 1: kind of like she probably don't even notice, be honest.
- 51:18Speaker 2: So funny funny, Well, I mean that is something that
- 51:20Speaker 2: comes with it.
- 51:21Speaker 1: But I was also going to say, I was going
- 51:22Speaker 1: to say, this is one of my videos that I've
- 51:24Speaker 1: been posting on TikTok and Instagram. But obviously everyone doesn't
- 51:29Speaker 1: have to have the goal of to lose weight or
- 51:30Speaker 1: anything like that, but everyone wants to be the healthiest
- 51:32Speaker 1: version of themselves. And the best tip and take away
- 51:34Speaker 1: from this I've been doing and I've done it before
- 51:37Speaker 1: and you do it is tracking your food. I think
- 51:40Speaker 1: a lot of people listening right now I probably have
- 51:41Speaker 1: never tracked food before. And you don't know the protein, fats, carbs,
- 51:45Speaker 1: and calories within said food that you're eating. And you
- 51:48Speaker 1: don't not necessarily have a goal. We have to have
- 51:49Speaker 1: a goal to lose weight or game weight or anything
- 51:51Speaker 1: like that. But just I'm saying, like, by a scale
- 51:54Speaker 1: for a day or two, this track what you eat
- 51:56Speaker 1: and you'll realize, oh shit, this is doing this to me,
- 51:58Speaker 1: or shit, this is doing this to me, And it's
- 51:59Speaker 1: such a help little like trick to having your brain
- 52:01Speaker 1: and your second guess eating the peanut butter with like
- 52:05Speaker 1: layering it on your toast rather than having vegemint.
- 52:08Speaker 2: Yeah, such an Australian thing. Yeah, I fucking blew Joanna's
- 52:10Speaker 2: mind last night. She's getting into exactly what you're saying
- 52:13Speaker 2: right now because my whole a.
- 52:14Speaker 1: Lot of people don't know it and we take it
- 52:16Speaker 1: for granted.
- 52:16Speaker 2: It's yeah, I was, I've thought it was crazy, right.
- 52:19Speaker 2: So I've been weighing all my stuff purely just like
- 52:23Speaker 2: I don't have any goal because my first goal of
- 52:25Speaker 2: the year is to fall in love with the gym again,
- 52:26Speaker 2: and so part of that process, I was like, I'm
- 52:28Speaker 2: going to eat the same thing every day. I'm just
- 52:29Speaker 2: going to make sure I know what i'm having. I
- 52:30Speaker 2: want to have just really protein's my main thing and
- 52:33Speaker 2: calorie I guess. But Joanna started to track her. She
- 52:36Speaker 2: wants to have you having like one hundred and twenty
- 52:38Speaker 2: grams of protein a day, and I was like, that's
- 52:39Speaker 2: a good goal. So she was tracking her like She's like,
- 52:42Speaker 2: how do I get to be more protein blah blah blah.
- 52:44Speaker 2: And then she's talking about She's like, I love fruit,
- 52:46Speaker 2: but it's just and I know there's no calories in it.
- 52:49Speaker 1: And she was putting grapes into a container and I
- 52:52Speaker 1: was like no calories.
- 52:53Speaker 2: I was like, funny, you say that. Look strawberries, Yes,
- 52:56Speaker 2: barely any calories. Like I was named it and I
- 52:58Speaker 2: was like, grapes, stranda, I'm sorry that the high.
- 53:01Speaker 1: She was like, no way.
- 53:01Speaker 2: I was like yeah, like it's not a huge amount,
- 53:04Speaker 2: Like one hundred grams of grapes is like seventy calories,
- 53:06Speaker 2: but just compared to other things, like in terms of volume,
- 53:08Speaker 2: mango is pretty hard to Yeah, and she and she
- 53:10Speaker 2: brought she was like no way, And she weighed out
- 53:12Speaker 2: one hundred grams of grapes and she's like it's like
- 53:14Speaker 2: ten fucking greats.
- 53:15Speaker 1: She was pissed, and I was like yeah, yeah. Like
- 53:17Speaker 1: once you weigh out like a bag of shapes or
- 53:19Speaker 1: a bag of chips, you're like, oh shit, that's like
- 53:21Speaker 1: a third of my or fourth of my calorie intake
- 53:23Speaker 1: in just these bag of chips I'm eating. Like you're
- 53:25Speaker 1: like oh shit, and you second guess it way out
- 53:27Speaker 1: of serving of cereal.
- 53:28Speaker 2: Oh, cereal is terrible, A lot of cereal, A lot
- 53:30Speaker 2: of servings of cereal that the serving size is thirty grams.
- 53:32Speaker 1: Yeah, it's nothing. Some of these companies serving sizes. They
- 53:36Speaker 1: are having a laugh. Oh. I wanted to finish on
- 53:39Speaker 1: because I've been posting videos on like TikTok and Instagram.
- 53:42Speaker 1: I've been looking at the algorithm a lot. Yeah, and
- 53:45Speaker 1: also obviously a big part of our business. The podcast
- 53:47Speaker 1: is TikTok and what's been happening is the ban bro
- 53:51Speaker 1: in America. Yeah, the TikTok ban. I fucking We were
- 53:54Speaker 1: talking about it heaps leading up to it.
- 53:55Speaker 2: We didn't talk about it on here, and I kept
- 53:57Speaker 2: on saying I think it's gonna go through, and ad
- 53:59Speaker 2: he kept on saying, no, I believe it when I
- 54:02Speaker 2: see it.
- 54:03Speaker 1: And it went through. Yeah, And so last night it
- 54:07Speaker 1: went through and I sent it to Jake and I
- 54:09Speaker 1: was like, oh, damn it. I was actually I didn't
- 54:11Speaker 1: say you were right, but I was like, oh damn it,
- 54:12Speaker 1: It's happened. And then twelve hours audio is I believed
- 54:16Speaker 1: in Trump? Yeah, because I've saw seen so many videos
- 54:20Speaker 1: because Trump's marketing strategy was the up. He won like
- 54:23Speaker 1: by like ninety percent in people aged like eighteen and
- 54:25Speaker 1: twenty four. Yeah, And I was like, and he said
- 54:26Speaker 1: there was a video of him saying I love TikTok
- 54:28Speaker 1: because his son's like part of his marketing plan and
- 54:30Speaker 1: he's like twenty four or some shit. Yeah, And I
- 54:32Speaker 1: was like, Trump loves TikTok. It's not going anywhere. And
- 54:34Speaker 1: then twelve hours later, after getting a band, Trump said
- 54:37Speaker 1: something about like everyone knows the're right to fucking do whatever.
- 54:40Speaker 1: And then it's back and I'm like, I knew we
- 54:41Speaker 1: had the power. I fucking woke up this morning. I
- 54:43Speaker 1: saw a video from Alex Earl.
- 54:44Speaker 2: Yeah, and she's like, I was on hick Why did
- 54:47Speaker 2: I cry a couple of days ago?
- 54:48Speaker 1: If I'm just back. It stressed me out. TikTok's like
- 54:50Speaker 1: sixty percent fucking American. I know, actual kind stressed me
- 54:52Speaker 1: out as well. I'm not gonna lie downloaded red note
- 54:54Speaker 1: in process the video as soon as it went because
- 54:56Speaker 1: it was ever gonna happen and I wasn't stressing at all.
- 54:58Speaker 1: And then I saw the band.
- 54:58Speaker 2: I actually had liked a couple funny videos about the band.
- 55:01Speaker 2: This is from Chris Olsen. He said, this whole thing
- 55:03Speaker 2: feels like when you're dramatically saying goodbye to someone on
- 55:05Speaker 2: the street and then you realize you both have to walk.
- 55:07Speaker 1: The same direction. It's like in the supermarket, and then
- 55:10Speaker 1: you've both gone down the same eye. Yeah, you say
- 55:12Speaker 1: hi in the first and you keep on crossing part.
- 55:15Speaker 2: And then there was another one and it was Paramount
- 55:18Speaker 2: Pictures fucking posted this on TikTok, and it was and
- 55:20Speaker 2: there's that yeah, and you know the scene in wul
- 55:22Speaker 2: for Wall Street where he's supposed to be quitting his
- 55:24Speaker 2: job because they find out what he's doing is illegal,
- 55:26Speaker 2: but if he quits, it's all good. And he goes,
- 55:27Speaker 2: everyone's like, thinking's about to get up and announce it
- 55:29Speaker 2: he's quitting, and he goes, I'm.
- 55:31Speaker 1: Not fucking leading.
- 55:32Speaker 2: They've just got TikTok over to me, like I'm not
- 55:34Speaker 2: fucking leaving.
- 55:35Speaker 1: I never thought it was ever going to happen too,
- 55:37Speaker 1: because TikTok in America is the number one amount of users,
- 55:41Speaker 1: has like one hundred and eleven million users. I think
- 55:43Speaker 1: it's one hundred and fifty and the amount of people
- 55:45Speaker 1: and businesses that rely on TikTok in America. I was like,
- 55:49Speaker 1: their economy is going to plummet if they ban like,
- 55:51Speaker 1: and I know America's all about fucking money fat Like,
- 55:54Speaker 1: I'm like, there's no way they could logically do this.
- 55:56Speaker 1: There is a conspiracy. What is it? I wanted to
- 55:58Speaker 1: bring this up.
- 55:59Speaker 2: Okay, So the whole thing with the band, right was
- 56:03Speaker 2: America is saying it's it's it's a national security issue
- 56:06Speaker 2: about China because China owns TikTok. Right, So they were like,
- 56:11Speaker 2: TikTok can stay if you sell it to us. They're like,
- 56:14Speaker 2: no Elon Musk probably I think offered to buy it.
- 56:17Speaker 2: Mister Beast is like, TikTok, sell it to me, we
- 56:21Speaker 2: can keep it here. So he's like doing that, right,
- 56:24Speaker 2: there's a conspiracy that fucking Zuckerberg bought it.
- 56:29Speaker 1: Oh really, I didn't tell anyone.
- 56:30Speaker 2: No, So no, I don't like Facebook's gone down here.
- 56:33Speaker 2: I don't want to okay here quickly, we're nearly done here.
- 56:38Speaker 2: So the government people it's like a full insider trading conspiracy.
- 56:43Speaker 1: Right.
- 56:43Speaker 2: The government is like, nah, we don't want TikTok. But
- 56:46Speaker 2: all the people in government that can make this decision,
- 56:48Speaker 2: they're all big stakeholders in Meta, which is Facebook, right,
- 56:52Speaker 2: and they're like, sell TikTok to us, and well, you
- 56:56Speaker 2: can have it here. And now there's this whole conspiracy
- 56:58Speaker 2: because people in the US the day before the band,
- 57:02Speaker 2: we're getting these things coming up on their Facebook. They'd
- 57:04Speaker 2: go into Facebook, and Facebook had this thing of like
- 57:06Speaker 2: link your Facebook to your TikTok so people can discover you.
- 57:09Speaker 2: And they're like, why the fuck would Facebook do this
- 57:11Speaker 2: now when they know it's going to get banned?
- 57:12Speaker 1: This is sus.
- 57:13Speaker 2: And then some people keep coming across this TikTok Facebook
- 57:17Speaker 2: account that has three hundred and something thousand followers and
- 57:19Speaker 2: it's already verified, which is crazy, by the way, because
- 57:21Speaker 2: we aren't even fucking verified, but we're doing it for years, right,
- 57:25Speaker 2: Facebook verified already unless they're paying for.
- 57:27Speaker 1: It, I don't know.
- 57:27Speaker 2: But basically now, also, the guy that owns TikTok, that
- 57:32Speaker 2: shoe guy from Singapore, he used to have he has
- 57:36Speaker 2: an account and it used to say TikTok ceo taken
- 57:39Speaker 2: out of his account.
- 57:39Speaker 1: Oh it's gone, it's gone, right, So.
- 57:42Speaker 2: There's this whole conspiracy that all the fucking shareholders in
- 57:45Speaker 2: Meta were like zuck In.
- 57:47Speaker 1: You go purchase it and they're going to slowly letter
- 57:50Speaker 1: from by about part of metaw or some share Facebook.
- 57:52Speaker 1: I know it's probably not, but it feels like he's
- 57:54Speaker 1: dead in my life.
- 57:55Speaker 2: Facebook's dead from our Facebook label about it.
- 57:58Speaker 1: Other than Facebook is good two things Facebook groups and
- 58:02Speaker 1: buying shit marketplace marketplace and like anything for like renting
- 58:06Speaker 1: or like community groups. Anything to do with a group
- 58:08Speaker 1: is really good. And Villa's fucking like anything to do
- 58:11Speaker 1: with like buying shit and like building a community great,
- 58:14Speaker 1: but like the actual like looking for videos and stuff.
- 58:23Speaker 2: Okay, guys, thank you very much for coming along with
- 58:26Speaker 2: This would be the first week we're going to call
- 58:27Speaker 2: one of you wonderful listeners, one of you baddies, one
