- 0:05Speaker 1: Welcome to Just the Cats with Michael Bennett.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Hello, Big Blue Nation, Welcome to Just the Cats. My
- 0:17Speaker 2: name is Michael Bennett on this Friday, May fifteenth. Hope
- 0:21Speaker 2: everybody's ready for a big weekend as uh you know,
- 0:24Speaker 2: we get you there the next couple of hours, which
- 0:26Speaker 2: I'm looking forward to. It's a big weekend for the
- 0:29Speaker 2: Old Bended household. I will tell you that it's been.
- 0:31Speaker 2: In fact, it's been a phenomenal week in the Old
- 0:33Speaker 2: Bennett household. It just has. And we've come around. What
- 0:38Speaker 2: do you mean, Yes, it's twice now you've said the
- 0:40Speaker 2: Old Bennett household. Oh you're finally coming around.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Okay, Now you just in the in the matter of seconds,
- 0:52Speaker 1: you made me depressed. I was in a great mood,
- 0:56Speaker 1: ready to go to a two hour show, and now
- 0:58Speaker 1: I'm just ready to walk out on you. If if
- 1:00Speaker 1: getting called old takes you from happy to depress, it does,
- 1:03Speaker 1: You've got deeper issues.
- 1:04Speaker 2: That is the one thing I do not want to
- 1:07Speaker 2: admit whatsoever, is that, you know, Michael Binn is getting old.
- 1:11Speaker 2: I don't want to admit that. And it's like, holy crap, man,
- 1:15Speaker 2: I am I am old. Yes, I will listen. I
- 1:19Speaker 2: would rather grow old than be dead. Okay, so I
- 1:24Speaker 2: think that is the way you turn it around. Put
- 1:27Speaker 2: that frown to make it a smile. So yeah, turn
- 1:30Speaker 2: that frown around. But yeah, that's how I look at it.
- 1:33Speaker 2: So I'm I'm hoping I'll always be young at heart.
- 1:36Speaker 2: I don't care what freaking age I am. I will
- 1:39Speaker 2: always because I don't feel my age. I feel younger
- 1:43Speaker 2: than you, justin if I'm completely honest, I don't feel me.
- 1:47Speaker 2: I feel like I'm a complete idiot and I'll do
- 1:50Speaker 2: dumb stuff anytime you tell me to. If you dare
- 1:53Speaker 2: me to do something, I'll most likely go out and
- 1:56Speaker 2: go do it.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I'll be honest with you. I'm the exact opposite. I
- 1:58Speaker 1: feel older than you. Do you really? Wow? I don't know.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I feel like my mind is still young, but I
- 2:06Speaker 1: feel like everything else just feels old now. No, it's
- 2:08Speaker 1: taking pressure. I still feel like I can do all
- 2:11Speaker 1: kinds of things physically. I just do I you know,
- 2:16Speaker 1: I like to do things on the weekends. I still
- 2:19Speaker 1: like to play golf. I still like to go horseback riding.
- 2:21Speaker 1: I still like to jump a horse over a big fence.
- 2:23Speaker 1: I still feel feel like I can do all kinds
- 2:25Speaker 1: of stuff. I just I don't know. I'm an idiot.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I have some id trying to talk me into go
- 2:30Speaker 1: and playing some other things. That is probably for a
- 2:34Speaker 1: young man, not necessarily for Michael Bennett. But I'm going
- 2:37Speaker 1: to go do it. You don't want to give it away.
- 2:39Speaker 1: It's a polo. I mean, people think it's snobby that
- 2:42Speaker 1: I don't want to go. Yeah, on horseback. There's polo
- 2:46Speaker 1: without the horses, right, marc o polo. I don't know
- 2:50Speaker 1: what other polo there is. There's not a version of
- 2:53Speaker 1: polo where you're not on a horse, not that I
- 2:55Speaker 1: know of. Hmm.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Yeah, but I just listen. I feel like I'm still
- 3:01Speaker 2: very young. I feel like I'm twenty some days. I
- 3:04Speaker 2: feel like I'm sixteen. Man, when I was doing those
- 3:07Speaker 2: polar plunges that energize me so much, I got to
- 3:11Speaker 2: get into it again. I missdoing it. Get you told,
- 3:15Speaker 2: I'm going to have to, I think. So I've been
- 3:17Speaker 2: looking at him. I might have to get me one.
- 3:20Speaker 2: But we'll see if we do something like that. But yeah,
- 3:23Speaker 2: I got a busy weekend. I'm looking forward to it.
- 3:27Speaker 2: And then there's not much in sports going on as
- 3:30Speaker 2: far as Uk your texter a little earlier, is right?
- 3:34Speaker 2: I should go and listen to the Drake three albums.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Why does he come out with three albums? Is there
- 3:41Speaker 2: any reasoning behind that?
- 3:43Speaker 1: I have no idea. I'm not a Drake fan.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Why wouldn't you just say, hey, man, I can take
- 3:47Speaker 2: a vacation for a little while. I'll drop this album
- 3:50Speaker 2: right now, and then maybe twelve months later, I'll drop
- 3:53Speaker 2: the next one, and you don't have to worry about producing, writing,
- 3:56Speaker 2: or any.
- 3:56Speaker 1: O that kind of stuff. Yeah, why three at one time?
- 3:59Speaker 1: I don't get it? Okay, Well, I mean the only
- 4:02Speaker 1: thing I could think of is you want to be
- 4:04Speaker 1: so dominant in that genre that nobody else gets.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Well, good for him, I mean, if you're that hard
- 4:11Speaker 2: working guy like he is, good, I'm I'm proud for you.
- 4:15Speaker 1: I mean it can work the same way like I
- 4:18Speaker 1: just released three albums. Yeah, you can't expect another one
- 4:21Speaker 1: for another three years. He could still go vacation, Yeah
- 4:24Speaker 1: he could.
- 4:25Speaker 2: And but uh do you think when you go on
- 4:29Speaker 2: vacation can you walk away from work?
- 4:32Speaker 1: Oh? Yeah, very yeah, well really easily. Man. I respect that.
- 4:38Speaker 1: I gotta I don't know, I got to take a
- 4:39Speaker 1: step back on that, because in the few times that
- 4:42Speaker 1: I have gotten to vacation, yes, it's in my time
- 4:45Speaker 1: here at least.
- 4:46Speaker 2: I like how you refer to that, to the vacation.
- 4:50Speaker 2: To vacation, you said, to the vacation, But go ahead.
- 4:53Speaker 2: I just loved how you said that.
- 4:54Speaker 1: You say things wrong all the time, I can do it.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Stop making fun of you. I was complimenting you. No,
- 4:59Speaker 1: you were, No, I was that. I just thought it
- 5:02Speaker 1: was interesting. I liked it. But anyways, to the vaca,
- 5:04Speaker 1: when I've got somebody else like filling in for me, Yes,
- 5:08Speaker 1: I try to let it go and I try to
- 5:10Speaker 1: not worry about it. Yeah, but I do find myself
- 5:12Speaker 1: firing up the stream every so often, like let me
- 5:16Speaker 1: check make sure it sounds good. Yeah. So I try
- 5:19Speaker 1: to not do that, but I end up doing it
- 5:21Speaker 1: every time. Yeah.
- 5:23Speaker 2: I have a hard time walking away from work. I
- 5:25Speaker 2: find myself is like there's something I'd be doing. I
- 5:27Speaker 2: gotta be doing. I cannot relax. I just I grew
- 5:31Speaker 2: up with a dad that never relaxed, and I've been
- 5:35Speaker 2: brought up the exact same way. I just I honestly,
- 5:38Speaker 2: I've had my cardiologist ask me Michael can you relax?
- 5:41Speaker 2: And I'm like, I don't know how to. And that's
- 5:45Speaker 2: an honest answer. I really do not know how to relax.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Even when I'm doing something fun, I still don't relax.
- 5:53Speaker 1: My mom's very much the same way. Really, we'll go
- 5:55Speaker 1: out on the lake. They've got a very nice pontoon
- 5:58Speaker 1: that will go out on Huh. She'll bring her laptop.
- 6:01Speaker 1: She'll be sitting there working. I'm like, mom, what are
- 6:03Speaker 1: you doing? Yeah, but chill out, have a beer or
- 6:07Speaker 1: something like good grief.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Yeah, you're exactly right. I mean I wish I could maybe,
- 6:13Speaker 2: uh if I had a little, you know, adult beverage,
- 6:16Speaker 2: that might settle me down a little bit. But I
- 6:19Speaker 2: still feel anxious. I gotta get something done. It's it's
- 6:23Speaker 2: all in my head in course, that controls everything. If
- 6:27Speaker 2: I could just get my brain to shut down, but
- 6:30Speaker 2: I don't know how to do that. At least I
- 6:32Speaker 2: can sleep, though I sleep, I bet you I average
- 6:35Speaker 2: about six hours a night.
- 6:36Speaker 1: That's not enough.
- 6:37Speaker 2: I know it's not, No, it's not, but I'm go,
- 6:41Speaker 2: go go. I just I gotta start. That's as much
- 6:46Speaker 2: as I can see. I wake up at quartery to
- 6:49Speaker 2: five every day, and I don't know why.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I just do. It doesn't matter if I go to
- 6:54Speaker 1: bed at nine o'clock.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Last night, I went to bed at quarter until eleven,
- 6:58Speaker 2: woke up at four forty five, and my alarm clock
- 7:01Speaker 2: is set for five forty five.
- 7:03Speaker 1: I went to ben at nine o'clock and woke up
- 7:06Speaker 1: at five point fifteen and was like, what the hell
- 7:07Speaker 1: do I set an alarm for five fifteen for I
- 7:10Speaker 1: went back to sleep to sleep five minutes.
- 7:16Speaker 2: I went to bed last night and let my contacts in.
- 7:19Speaker 2: I get out and it's like, okay, I'll take him
- 7:21Speaker 2: out for a few minutes.
- 7:22Speaker 1: I don't know what. I just I've done that, I
- 7:24Speaker 1: think like three or four times the past month. That's
- 7:26Speaker 1: not good. Really, it's just because I'm tired. I just
- 7:28Speaker 1: I mean, that doesn't do Isn't it painful when you wake?
- 7:31Speaker 2: No, it didn't hurt at all. These are brand new
- 7:33Speaker 2: ones and I forget they're in, So no, it's not
- 7:36Speaker 2: PAINFULBA messes with your re em.
- 7:40Speaker 1: I can't answer that question. I don't.
- 7:43Speaker 2: I don't have any idea, but I go through the
- 7:45Speaker 2: same ritual every single day. Are you OCD about that?
- 7:49Speaker 2: You do the exact state I do I do, so
- 7:51Speaker 2: I get up contacts in brush my teeth, get in
- 7:56Speaker 2: the shower, now my hair, get dressed, them out of there.
- 7:58Speaker 1: The one exception to that pertains to the dog, because
- 8:03Speaker 1: every morning when I opened my door, he's right there
- 8:06Speaker 1: and he leans on me, and all he wants to
- 8:08Speaker 1: do is go outside, but he wants a little pet first,
- 8:11Speaker 1: and then he'll sprint to the back door. Well, last week,
- 8:15Speaker 1: I don't know what switch flipped in my roommate's head,
- 8:19Speaker 1: but he is our dog. Has never slept in our rooms.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Well last week he started sleeping in my roommate's room
- 8:26Speaker 1: at night. So there's been several mornings the last week
- 8:29Speaker 1: and a half or so where I opened my door
- 8:32Speaker 1: and he's not there, and that throws my whole morning.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Oh wow, it's like I've got a certain way I
- 8:37Speaker 1: do that. I mean, I don't do it, so I
- 8:41Speaker 1: don't do it the exact same every morning, but I
- 8:45Speaker 1: the first thing I always do is pet him and
- 8:47Speaker 1: let him outside. And he hasn't been there, and it's
- 8:50Speaker 1: been really weird. Oh that's well, it's too bad. He
- 8:52Speaker 1: didn't love you anymore. No, he just wants to sleep
- 8:54Speaker 1: in the roommate's bed all right.
- 8:56Speaker 2: So you know you were talking about a little bit,
- 8:59Speaker 2: and yeah, everybody's been criticizing this one guy deserved, uh
- 9:04Speaker 2: but not probably not hardcore like some people are doing.
- 9:07Speaker 2: It's one game that that a fan got involved with
- 9:12Speaker 2: a potential home run and now everybody's making or I
- 9:19Speaker 2: shouldn't say everybody a lot. A good portion of the
- 9:22Speaker 2: Reds fan base is given the poor guy a hard
- 9:24Speaker 2: time because he brought a glove to the baseball game.
- 9:28Speaker 1: They should be giving him a hard time because he interfered,
- 9:30Speaker 1: not because he had a glove. I well, but the
- 9:33Speaker 1: ball was going over the fence either way. He didn't
- 9:36Speaker 1: need to do anything. Yeah, but you know, it's hard
- 9:38Speaker 1: not to react, and it's a reaction, especially if you
- 9:41Speaker 1: have a glove. Yeah.
- 9:42Speaker 2: I mean, do you remember in the playoffs where the
- 9:45Speaker 2: one Cubs fan Oh? Yes, department exist, so you remember
- 9:49Speaker 2: the name? Oh yeah, So I don't think it'll be
- 9:53Speaker 2: as bad as that. No, but I mean he had
- 9:55Speaker 2: to leave Chicago. The poor guy just reacted. I mean
- 9:59Speaker 2: it's a reaction. Now, do I go to a baseball
- 10:03Speaker 2: game and carry a glove?
- 10:05Speaker 1: No?
- 10:06Speaker 2: I have never carried even as probably No, I don't
- 10:10Speaker 2: think I did as a kid. I've never carried a
- 10:12Speaker 2: game now. Have I caught a foul ball with bare hands? Absolutely?
- 10:17Speaker 1: Why it's just dumb. Why is it dumb? I'm gonna
- 10:21Speaker 1: catch it. It's just dumb to put yourself in in
- 10:24Speaker 1: the way of injury.
- 10:25Speaker 2: It hurts us, it doesn't. It's not gonna injure me.
- 10:27Speaker 2: It hurts for a second.
- 10:28Speaker 1: It could absolutely shatter bones in your hand.
- 10:31Speaker 2: If it's a line drive, yes, Now, if it's a
- 10:33Speaker 2: pop fly, no, it's not going to shatter a bone.
- 10:36Speaker 2: You just catch it. That stings a little, No big deal.
- 10:39Speaker 2: I've caught I've caught a few foul balls.
- 10:41Speaker 1: You know what makes it not staying? When you catch
- 10:43Speaker 1: it in a glove?
- 10:44Speaker 2: Okay, well, I'm just I don't care if you take
- 10:48Speaker 2: a glove or not.
- 10:49Speaker 1: If you want to take a glove, fine, that's ultimately
- 10:52Speaker 1: the right answer.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Yeah, but I think it's a little goofy for a
- 10:56Speaker 2: person of a certain age to carry a glove. That's
- 11:00Speaker 2: kind of like, I kind of like the other part
- 11:04Speaker 2: that bothers me a little bit. I think a person
- 11:08Speaker 2: of a certain age should not turn their hat around backwards.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Are you of the same mindset? So either I knew
- 11:16Speaker 2: you were going to do that. I just think that's
- 11:18Speaker 2: kind of goofy love it?
- 11:20Speaker 1: Do you? I know, all right, I'm going against you
- 11:23Speaker 1: all day. Explain all right, that's fine, you love Michael Bennett. No,
- 11:27Speaker 1: I don't exactly see I knew you, didn't you finally
- 11:30Speaker 1: admitted it. So I think it's why does a person
- 11:35Speaker 1: wear a hat on backwards? It doesn't block your vision?
- 11:40Speaker 2: Sometimes the whole point of wearing a hat is to
- 11:42Speaker 2: block the vision.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Sometimes you just want to cover the hair, and but
- 11:45Speaker 1: you don't want to have your vision impaired. And sometimes
- 11:47Speaker 1: the bill gets a little liar, how ridiculous? Do I
- 11:54Speaker 1: look right now? I look. I'm not going to say
- 11:58Speaker 1: the word, but I look. Look, I look dumb. You
- 12:01Speaker 1: look cool? No, I don't. I there is nothing cool
- 12:04Speaker 1: about Michael Bennett. It does. I wish there was for me.
- 12:06Speaker 1: It's a certain hat like I'm obviously a hat like
- 12:09Speaker 1: this with a bended bill I don't wear backwards. Yeah,
- 12:12Speaker 1: But if I've got a hat that I really liked
- 12:14Speaker 1: that has a flatterbill on it, that's one I'll wear
- 12:17Speaker 1: backwards because I think it looks ridiculous if I wear
- 12:19Speaker 1: the flat bill forward. I'm not Pete Rose.
- 12:22Speaker 2: No, you're not Pete Rose's that's for dag certain you're
- 12:26Speaker 2: not Pete Rose. I mean, but you could be tiny
- 12:29Speaker 2: Pete Rose. No, would you like to be tiny Elvis?
- 12:33Speaker 1: No?
- 12:33Speaker 2: That was one of the greatest bits on Saturday Night Light,
- 12:35Speaker 2: by the way. Okay, well, I'm sorry you don't feel
- 12:39Speaker 2: that way. I just think people of a certain age
- 12:42Speaker 2: should wear their hat on correctly. Should you know my
- 12:45Speaker 2: other pet Peeve? All right, this might be pet Peeve
- 12:48Speaker 2: Day for Michael Bennett.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, I'm here not.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Tucking your shirt in, and it seems that is a
- 12:54Speaker 2: gigantic trend. Even my wife is trying to convince me, Michael,
- 12:58Speaker 2: don't tuck your shirt in.
- 12:59Speaker 1: What type of shirt?
- 13:01Speaker 2: Collared shirt, button down shirt? I'd say a button down
- 13:07Speaker 2: shirt that I can. I'm with you on that, now,
- 13:10Speaker 2: are you really that should be tough? Now, with that
- 13:12Speaker 2: being said, there has been a massive movement with like
- 13:15Speaker 2: the untucked shirts that there there is.
- 13:18Speaker 1: An actual manufacturer of a shirt called untucked exactly. Untuck
- 13:22Speaker 1: it exactly.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Yeah, we're not trying to do an advertisement for them,
- 13:25Speaker 2: but I don't like them. I would never buy a
- 13:28Speaker 2: shirt that's meant to be untucked. I tuck in everything.
- 13:32Speaker 1: See. I used to be that way as well. But
- 13:35Speaker 1: there's there are times where I find myself on the
- 13:37Speaker 1: golf course even where I'll wear my shirt tucked in
- 13:41Speaker 1: to go to the clubhouse. Good for you, But as
- 13:43Speaker 1: soon as we're out on the course, I'm untucking it.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Bad for you. It's it's more comfortable that way. Oh
- 13:48Speaker 1: it is, no. See.
- 13:48Speaker 2: I think it's maybe because I've always tucked my shirt in,
- 13:52Speaker 2: it's uncomfortable for me to have it untucked. I just
- 13:55Speaker 2: I tried it once and I'm like, I, Trish, I
- 13:57Speaker 2: can't do this. I don't like it. I feel fatter.
- 14:01Speaker 2: I don't want this. So yeah, I I I don't
- 14:05Speaker 2: get it. I don't want to do it. Wow, did
- 14:07Speaker 2: we get on a crazy shuffer line today?
- 14:09Speaker 1: I didn't mean. I think it's the first segment. Well no,
- 14:14Speaker 1: I did not sign up for this. But uh, somebody's
- 14:17Speaker 1: gonna help me. I mean, do you am I wrong
- 14:20Speaker 1: about the entire See? I think on a golf course
- 14:22Speaker 1: there are rules. There are well, it's well there are
- 14:26Speaker 1: where you're at. Yeah, if you're in a really nice club,
- 14:28Speaker 1: the rule is for the most part. You tuck your
- 14:32Speaker 1: shirt in, you have a colored shirt on, you have
- 14:35Speaker 1: no blue jeans out there. No, that's that should be
- 14:38Speaker 1: unacceptable everywhere. I have an uncle who wears blue jeans
- 14:41Speaker 1: at all the golf courses.
- 14:43Speaker 2: I can tell you. At private clubs, he would not.
- 14:45Speaker 2: He would be asked to leave. He wouldn't do it.
- 14:49Speaker 2: On a private course, he wouldn't.
- 14:50Speaker 1: But I mean, even me, like, if I get an
- 14:52Speaker 1: opportunity to play Valhalla, I'm not gonna untuck my shirt
- 14:55Speaker 1: at all. You're not going to Okay, I'm gonna I'm
- 14:57Speaker 1: gonna play with a certain look about me.
- 14:59Speaker 2: So you're going to go to a public course and
- 15:02Speaker 2: totally disrespect it. Even though you'll go to a private
- 15:05Speaker 2: course and respect it. You disrespect the public course. I
- 15:08Speaker 2: don't think it's disrespecting the course, though sure it is.
- 15:11Speaker 2: I don't think it is.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Why not. It's maybe disrespecting the game a little bit,
- 15:15Speaker 1: But I don't think in any way. Course I don't
- 15:18Speaker 1: think I am. Because you'll go to Valhalla and keep
- 15:21Speaker 1: your shirt tucked in and dress appropriately because there's there.
- 15:25Speaker 1: But you'll go to another club and you won't care
- 15:29Speaker 1: about the standards at other clubs to a public course. Absolutely,
- 15:32Speaker 1: not really. Okay, heck there's course, there's a course right
- 15:35Speaker 1: down the street from my house. Yes, I'll wear a
- 15:37Speaker 1: tank top. Oh my gosh, man, I mean it's a
- 15:40Speaker 1: little nine hole goat ranch. It's it's not a good
- 15:44Speaker 1: course at all. It's more like a practice course. But yeah,
- 15:46Speaker 1: I'll no doubt about it, wear a tank.
- 15:48Speaker 2: I can tell you I would never. You'll never see
- 15:52Speaker 2: me dressed with my hat on backwards and an untucked
- 15:56Speaker 2: wife beater. Okay, I mean I will not wear a
- 15:59Speaker 2: tank top never. You'll never catch me doing that.
- 16:03Speaker 1: You'll never catch me at the lake not looking like you.
- 16:05Speaker 2: You'll, i'd say. The day you see me is the
- 16:08Speaker 2: day I've probably lost my mind.
- 16:12Speaker 1: So what do you wear to the lake? A regular
- 16:14Speaker 1: T shirt and baiting suit? Oh now, it won't be
- 16:19Speaker 1: tucked in. That will be the only time there's when
- 16:22Speaker 1: the real prey, that's what you'd have it is. Yes,
- 16:27Speaker 1: it is that old man. That's just Michael Bennett. Where
- 16:30Speaker 1: his shirt tucked in? I know? Yeah, yeah, no, no, no,
- 16:32Speaker 1: we're not doing that. We're not doing it. Oh my gosh.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Okay, this Friday and it's summertime, so that's that's our
- 16:39Speaker 2: subject matter for today. So yeah, if you want talking
- 16:41Speaker 2: to call in and talk about tucked in shirts and
- 16:44Speaker 2: hats on backwards, would you please turn your hat back around?
- 16:47Speaker 2: I'm going to thank you five O two three eight
- 16:49Speaker 2: four fourteen fifty five O two four one four fourteen
- 16:52Speaker 2: fifty on the Whiskey Thief text line, even though it
- 16:55Speaker 2: says other things on it, or you can tweet me,
- 16:58Speaker 2: it's just the cat RAO. So I do have a
- 17:00Speaker 2: several things I want to talk about today. UK Baseball
- 17:03Speaker 2: number one, we got to talk about that. We have
- 17:06Speaker 2: to talk about a little horse race tomorrow and so
- 17:11Speaker 2: which uh right, yeah, yeah, I know. And then the
- 17:15Speaker 2: NFL released their videos of their schedules and was there
- 17:22Speaker 2: one particular one that really stuck out that a lot
- 17:26Speaker 2: of people are talking about? Absolutely? And then heckling at
- 17:30Speaker 2: the PGA Championship, which was really an elite level. I
- 17:34Speaker 2: loved it. So we'll talk about that too, So stay
- 17:37Speaker 2: right there. A lot more of just the cats coming
- 17:39Speaker 2: up right now.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Can't nice nice thick right there? That's a nice one.
- 18:28Speaker 2: You start playing some st P I'm really gonna be happy.
- 18:32Speaker 2: St Yeah, you don't know what that is. I'll figure
- 18:37Speaker 2: it out.
- 18:38Speaker 1: St P. It's a rock band. Mm hmmm, I'm coming
- 18:46Speaker 1: up with nothing. Stone Temple Pilots got exactly yeah, Or
- 18:52Speaker 1: if I said st D, what would I be talking
- 18:54Speaker 1: about Stone Temple dis Yeah, that's exactly thank you.
- 19:00Speaker 2: I like Stone Tip of Pilots. But it's STD. Oh
- 19:05Speaker 2: my goodness, it's not sexially transmitted disease.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, yeah, Oh, I can't take any name. Oh well,
- 19:14Speaker 1: never mind, I'll figure it out in a minute. But anyway,
- 19:17Speaker 1: let's get to a few of the text messages on
- 19:19Speaker 1: here five O two three four fourteen fifty call or
- 19:22Speaker 1: five O two four one four fourteen fifty if you
- 19:24Speaker 1: want to text in John here, Hey, Michael, have fun
- 19:27Speaker 1: playing polo.
- 19:28Speaker 2: I hope if you do it, you do great, Michael.
- 19:32Speaker 2: I asked Justin if he was going to watch Ronda
- 19:35Speaker 2: Rusie Versus Gina Corrino, it will be on Netflix. Other
- 19:40Speaker 2: than that, if I can do some fishing, I am
- 19:44Speaker 2: going to. However, the weather might keep me from it.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:47Speaker 2: It's kind of a little rainy this weekend, isn't it ye,
- 19:50Speaker 2: which kind of stinks, but uh I uh, As far
- 19:54Speaker 2: as the Ronda Rusie versus Gina Corno.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll probably watch that. How can you say both
- 19:59Speaker 1: of those names so inaccurately the first time and then
- 20:02Speaker 1: you come back the second time and you nail them both?
- 20:05Speaker 1: How does how? I don't know you are one of
- 20:09Speaker 1: a kind friend, you're just now learning that. No, I know. Sorry,
- 20:13Speaker 1: I think that's what.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Uh but uh, anyway, I'll watch probably that. I mean,
- 20:19Speaker 2: I because as much as I loathe the Netflix, I'll
- 20:23Speaker 2: watch that just to watch it, because I think that'll
- 20:26Speaker 2: be a pretty good fight.
- 20:27Speaker 1: But you won't watch it. No, I won't because you'll
- 20:29Speaker 1: be watching horses. I will because that's Yeah, it's tomorrow night,
- 20:32Speaker 1: isn't it. Yeah, well, no, the horses will be well,
- 20:35Speaker 1: I'll be with a lot of fun. Uh.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Pretnus is what like five or six o'clock something like that.
- 20:41Speaker 2: It's an old day affair, just like uh, you know,
- 20:44Speaker 2: they got there.
- 20:45Speaker 1: But I know they race a lot earlier than the Derby.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Yeah, and they got you know, I'm missing today. They
- 20:49Speaker 2: got really good racing going on today with the uh
- 20:52Speaker 2: what do they call their oaks? It's them their flower
- 20:57Speaker 2: I forget what it's called.
- 20:59Speaker 1: You said it earlier. I did say it earlier this week.
- 21:02Speaker 2: But I can see the flower I just can't think
- 21:05Speaker 2: of but you know, that's going on today, so I'll
- 21:07Speaker 2: miss that, but I might watch a little of the replay,
- 21:09Speaker 2: see some of the video of it. I mean, I've
- 21:11Speaker 2: always liked Ronda Russie, but she because you know, I
- 21:16Speaker 2: liked her even when she acts.
- 21:18Speaker 1: You know, she was in that show, oh, black Eyed Susans,
- 21:23Speaker 1: Black Eyed Susans, thank you. But yes, she was in
- 21:27Speaker 1: that show that was on HBO Entourage. Did you ever
- 21:31Speaker 1: watch that show? Yeah, I didn't know she was in there.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Oh at the it might have been the movie that
- 21:36Speaker 2: she was in. And I loved that show. Were you
- 21:40Speaker 2: an Entourage kind of guy?
- 21:42Speaker 1: Was good? Yeah? I mean I didn't. That wasn't one
- 21:45Speaker 1: of the shows that I watched from start to finish,
- 21:47Speaker 1: but I had had buddies that would watch it and
- 21:49Speaker 1: I would tune in with them.
- 21:51Speaker 2: And no, Entourage I loved. I mean, I thought that
- 21:54Speaker 2: was a great, great show. Turtle was probably one of
- 21:58Speaker 2: my favorite characters, between him and ari Ari was hilarious.
- 22:04Speaker 2: But no, there are some good characters in that show.
- 22:07Speaker 2: One person said, the old man who plays horse Pole
- 22:09Speaker 2: talking about bringing a glove is Goofy liugh out loud.
- 22:13Speaker 1: No, he wouldn't bring a glove. I didn't bring a glove.
- 22:18Speaker 1: You're on team no glove. I'm no glove. Yeah.
- 22:20Speaker 2: I think it's kind of goofy as well that someone
- 22:24Speaker 2: would bring a glove. But it's okay if they want to.
- 22:26Speaker 2: I'm not going to criticize Goofy. I think there are
- 22:30Speaker 2: there is certain criteria where an adult bringing a glove is.
- 22:36Speaker 1: I'm okay with it.
- 22:37Speaker 2: But if you're going by yourself and you bring a glove,
- 22:41Speaker 2: I tend to think, Okay, that's a little different. But
- 22:44Speaker 2: that's all I think, and I move on with my life.
- 22:46Speaker 1: It makes me want to go home, dig out my
- 22:48Speaker 1: baseball glove and go to the bats game by myself.
- 22:50Speaker 1: I'm going to call you out on it. If you
- 22:52Speaker 1: do that, I will call you out. I'll post a
- 22:55Speaker 1: selfie and every perfect go ahead. Maybe I'll make it
- 22:57Speaker 1: on the big screen, King of Goofy.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Okay, But I think if you're if you're taking your kids,
- 23:03Speaker 2: your kids have their gloves, and you're, of course you're
- 23:07Speaker 2: going to take your glove to support your kids, you
- 23:09Speaker 2: might throw the old baseball somewhere there at the Ballpark.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Who knows. I think that's okay. By the way, speaking
- 23:17Speaker 1: of the Bats tonight, tonight's the debut of one Roman. Kelly,
- 23:21Speaker 1: what do you mean he's their in stadium in game host.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Are you serious? Starting tonight?
- 23:29Speaker 2: I have a new level of jealousy and respect for Roman.
- 23:34Speaker 1: That is awesome. That is a perfect pick. He'll do
- 23:37Speaker 1: an unbelievable job. Well, so he's been doing it for
- 23:40Speaker 1: the Kings, and is he really I didn't know that
- 23:43Speaker 1: he's been their end game host, or maybe Matthew told
- 23:45Speaker 1: us that at one point. Okay, but yeah, so I
- 23:47Speaker 1: guess the Bats had an opening and Roman reached out
- 23:51Speaker 1: to his contact there. Yeah, and next thing, you know,
- 23:53Speaker 1: he's the Bats in game.
- 23:55Speaker 2: The ladies are going to be chasing old Roman because
- 23:59Speaker 2: you know, he's he's becoming quite the next thing, you know,
- 24:02Speaker 2: he's gonna be dancing with Mike Rutherford. Okay, you think
- 24:07Speaker 2: that'll happen, you know, No, dancing with the stars. There'll
- 24:09Speaker 2: be the stars dancing amongst each other. And that's I
- 24:13Speaker 2: would sign up for that to go watch. Oh, enjoined,
- 24:16Speaker 2: I'm not going to partake, but I think Roman and
- 24:19Speaker 2: Mike Rutherford dancing together might be one of the greatest
- 24:21Speaker 2: things I could ever watch.
- 24:22Speaker 1: I'd watch. I would too. Yeah, Roman's girlfriend might have
- 24:25Speaker 1: something to say about that.
- 24:26Speaker 2: Roman's girlfriend will be out of the picture because here's
- 24:29Speaker 2: what's going to happen. With all the popularity he's now getting,
- 24:32Speaker 2: the ladies are flocking to Roman. Okay, I'm just telling you.
- 24:35Speaker 2: The ladies will be flocking and he is going to
- 24:38Speaker 2: be the new Drake of Louisville, Kentucky. So yeah, he'll
- 24:41Speaker 2: be coming out with forty uh not just forty songs,
- 24:45Speaker 2: but forty albums. Okay, just let you know. But Michelle said, uh,
- 24:52Speaker 2: it takes forever to come up, so I have no
- 24:54Speaker 2: idea what it says. There there's actually a store called Untucked. Yeah, yeah,
- 25:00Speaker 2: we talked about that, so I appreciate that. But yeah, there,
- 25:04Speaker 2: I won't do it. I just I will not go
- 25:06Speaker 2: to Untucked and I will not buy any of that.
- 25:10Speaker 2: One person said, in my mind, I'm still in my twenties,
- 25:13Speaker 2: probably have the mentality of a thirteen year old, but
- 25:16Speaker 2: my body sometimes tries to convince me I died during COVID.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, that's terrible. No, I I don't know
- 25:27Speaker 2: why you'd say something like that. But there's water polo too.
- 25:31Speaker 2: I forgot about that water polo. There is water polo,
- 25:34Speaker 2: all right, So there's polo on horseback, water polo and
- 25:38Speaker 2: Marco polo.
- 25:39Speaker 1: I've played water polo, have you really? Yeah? Wait? I
- 25:42Speaker 1: took a swimming class in Heist, and that was like
- 25:45Speaker 1: our Friday activity. Instead of swimm really, instead of swimming laps,
- 25:49Speaker 1: we would just get to play water Was.
- 25:50Speaker 2: It the real water polo where you cannot touch the
- 25:53Speaker 2: bottom of the pool? And how long did you play?
- 25:58Speaker 1: We would usually play for twenty thirty minute. I respect that.
- 26:01Speaker 1: I mean I'd be lying if I said there weren't
- 26:04Speaker 1: times that I would have to swim over to the air.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Just hang on first, I believe you take a break.
- 26:09Speaker 1: That is.
- 26:10Speaker 2: That is I don't think people give enough credit to
- 26:12Speaker 2: water polo. How tough that is because they don't touch
- 26:16Speaker 2: the bottom. That's rob probably what a ten foot uh
- 26:20Speaker 2: that's about right depth pool and they're out there and
- 26:24Speaker 2: they're having to do everything they're doing.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Now.
- 26:26Speaker 2: The only goofy thing about them is it's got those
- 26:29Speaker 2: ear muffs on, yeah, which is like I, uh, yeah,
- 26:33Speaker 2: I couldn't do that, nor could I wrestle. The fact
- 26:37Speaker 2: that some dudes putting his arms around me and I'm
- 26:40Speaker 2: putting my arms around him and things are getting in
- 26:44Speaker 2: your face. I'm just I'm not into that so I
- 26:48Speaker 2: but but some people are and that's okay, and they're
- 26:51Speaker 2: good at it. I I like watching it. I'm just
- 26:54Speaker 2: not into it. I don't want to do that. But
- 26:56Speaker 2: water polo, man, I don't think people give enough credit
- 27:00Speaker 2: at how hard it is. That is a tough one,
- 27:02Speaker 2: right there. I always wear my hat forward and polo
- 27:07Speaker 2: tucked in while on the course. Have the respect the
- 27:10Speaker 2: windmill hole. Oh my goodness, he's putt putting, isn't he?
- 27:19Speaker 2: I am getting a joke, aren't I? Okay?
- 27:21Speaker 1: Good Roman can be the new dancing Carl doing the
- 27:24Speaker 1: TUTSI roll? There we go.
- 27:27Speaker 2: Oh I remember a dancing Carl. He was that older
- 27:31Speaker 2: gentleman that was at the Bats game that would dance
- 27:35Speaker 2: on the deck.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Wasn't it wasn't that him on the dugout don't I
- 27:40Speaker 1: don't really?
- 27:41Speaker 2: Yeah, he was a nice looking older gentleman that would
- 27:45Speaker 2: get up there and he had he had really good rhythm.
- 27:49Speaker 1: This is really messing me up. I hate this thing.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Uh please read this text immediately.
- 27:58Speaker 2: I've stayed silent long enough about this topic, but Roman
- 28:02Speaker 2: has pushed me.
- 28:03Speaker 1: To speak out. Oh boy, Holy moly, here we go. Yeah,
- 28:06Speaker 1: I'm a little nervous now.
- 28:08Speaker 2: I hate the argument that our rival fans always make
- 28:11Speaker 2: about Kentucky's success pre integration. It's nothing but a cop out.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Oh okay, I gotcha, Roman. If winning was so easy
- 28:20Speaker 2: pre integration, why wasn't Louisville winning as much as Kentucky.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Wasn't everyone playing by the same rules in that era.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Did all the Kentucky teams get together and decide to
- 28:30Speaker 2: let Kentucky be the pre integration? If they did, your
- 28:34Speaker 2: argument is completely valid, and I apologies. The fact is
- 28:37Speaker 2: all these same teams laced them up and competed back
- 28:41Speaker 2: then the same as they do now. The eras are
- 28:44Speaker 2: just a lot different, the same way we look at
- 28:48Speaker 2: pre Nile and post any eras today. I'm begging you
- 28:51Speaker 2: to stop making the pre integration argument unless you also
- 28:55Speaker 2: able to tell me how Kentucky had an advantage.
- 28:59Speaker 1: I listen. I like Roman, and I don't know where
- 29:02Speaker 1: this is coming from.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Yeah, well, there is a lot of people that I
- 29:06Speaker 2: shouldn't say a lot and there's another radio host that
- 29:10Speaker 2: talks about this that's with a you know Country And
- 29:15Speaker 2: if you if you listen to the song, if you've
- 29:18Speaker 2: listened to Michael Bennett long enough, you know who I'm
- 29:20Speaker 2: referring to. When I say the radio host country. He
- 29:24Speaker 2: talks about pre integration and that he doesn't want to
- 29:27Speaker 2: include Kentucky teams or players from that timeframe. And I
- 29:30Speaker 2: think it's wrong. I mean, it wasn't their fault, and
- 29:35Speaker 2: they played when they did. And I don't like the
- 29:38Speaker 2: argument of either text here. I'm right there with you,
- 29:42Speaker 2: and I include those people very much so, and I
- 29:45Speaker 2: include those teams very much so so. But it's a
- 29:49Speaker 2: shame that some people feel the opposite way. I can't
- 29:52Speaker 2: help that. And so, but I'm still gonna like him.
- 29:55Speaker 2: I'm still gonna appreciate what they say. I'm just probably
- 29:58Speaker 2: gonna disagree with them. STD is Shannon the Dude? That
- 30:02Speaker 2: is correct? Yes, it is Shannon the Dude. Love that guy.
- 30:08Speaker 2: But and you'll never hear me say well, I'll make
- 30:10Speaker 2: fun of but yeah, like he makes fun of me
- 30:12Speaker 2: all the time. Forty eight Handlers said Lowel Racecourse does
- 30:16Speaker 2: have some meaningful history. I didn't know this before the
- 30:20Speaker 2: Arlington Million and the Breeders Cup, they hosted the DC International,
- 30:24Speaker 2: which was the only chance to test American grass horses
- 30:27Speaker 2: against European That's a cool race.
- 30:30Speaker 1: I like that. You know.
- 30:33Speaker 2: We were talking about Jason Worth earlier this week. I
- 30:35Speaker 2: had a nice phone call conversation with him earlier. J Yes, yeah, Jay,
- 30:40Speaker 2: that's right because he calls me Mike. But he was
- 30:43Speaker 2: telling me the horse that he had this past weekend
- 30:46Speaker 2: that won here at Churchill. They are now sending to
- 30:49Speaker 2: England and going to race over there in the big
- 30:54Speaker 2: what's the not the epsom Darby. There's another one over
- 30:57Speaker 2: there that they have that's really big, going to race
- 31:00Speaker 2: that horse in that race, And I thought that's really cool.
- 31:03Speaker 1: I don't know, but I hate the term Derby, do
- 31:05Speaker 1: you really? It's Derby?
- 31:07Speaker 2: So last year they came to Louisville, the Duchess and
- 31:14Speaker 2: uh it's not prince but whatever they call their you know,
- 31:18Speaker 2: their royalty titles of Derby where the Derby was actually
- 31:24Speaker 2: named after them.
- 31:26Speaker 1: That was pretty cool. Makes me uncomfortable, does it really? Okay?
- 31:30Speaker 1: They were very nice people. They lived in a gigantic
- 31:33Speaker 1: castle in England, the Royal duchess and is it Dutch?
- 31:39Speaker 1: I don't know. I have when if you want to
- 31:42Speaker 1: bring up a topic that I have not one iota about,
- 31:44Speaker 1: let's talk about the royal family. Well, not only that
- 31:47Speaker 1: I don't care either, I don't care. I don't know,
- 31:50Speaker 1: I don't yeah, I mean yeah, all the I don'ts Yeah, exactly.
- 31:54Speaker 1: The great Gelding Kelso, primarily a dirt horse, defeated champion
- 31:58Speaker 1: Fort Marcy in one rendition. Uh. And it's called the
- 32:01Speaker 1: Black Eyed Susan. So thank you for sending me that. So. Uh.
- 32:04Speaker 2: One person said, I grew up with a military dad
- 32:07Speaker 2: t shirt, always belt tucked shirt. You do you do
- 32:13Speaker 2: none now?
- 32:17Speaker 1: So talking to me? Is it really? Yeah?
- 32:20Speaker 2: See I had a person to ask me one time, Michael,
- 32:23Speaker 2: were you in the military? I said no, Why? He said,
- 32:27Speaker 2: because your buttons for your button down shirt line up
- 32:31Speaker 2: with your belt buckle on your pants. He goes, that's
- 32:35Speaker 2: a military thing. Is that not how it happens with
- 32:38Speaker 2: everyb I don't know. Maybe four year old kids don't
- 32:43Speaker 2: do it, but you know they forget that. You know,
- 32:46Speaker 2: things happen when you're little, and then when you get older,
- 32:49Speaker 2: your zipper does not go up Okay, when you're young,
- 32:52Speaker 2: you're you forget to do your zipper when you're a
- 32:54Speaker 2: little kid, and then when you reach a certain age. Man,
- 32:57Speaker 2: I'm catching myself a lot. I forget get to put
- 33:00Speaker 2: my zipper back up. That's embarrassing. Yeah, yeah, especially when
- 33:04Speaker 2: it's a stranger. Uh and they tell you, sir, your
- 33:07Speaker 2: zippers down. Okay, we gotta take a break. Uh, we'll
- 33:10Speaker 2: get back to your text in just a minute. Five
- 33:11Speaker 2: O two four one four fourteen to fifteen. Know, you
- 33:14Speaker 2: can start your transformation transformation today by having a little
- 33:17Speaker 2: whiskey thief. That's that's really gonna frustrate me. That has
- 33:21Speaker 2: to be resolved over the weekend. Okay, just to let
- 33:23Speaker 2: you know somehow someway, I want to talk about the
- 33:27Speaker 2: NFL videos when we came back. Have you seen the
- 33:29Speaker 2: announcements of the schedule for each NFL team?
- 33:33Speaker 1: Didn't watch any yesterday? Oh you didn't know? You got
- 33:36Speaker 1: to go back and watch some of them. They're there.
- 33:38Speaker 2: I really like them. I might like San Diego is
- 33:41Speaker 2: the most in. They're kind of becoming the h the
- 33:44Speaker 2: real teaser uh in the NFL. We'll talk about that too,
- 33:48Speaker 2: So stay right there. A lot more just the cats
- 33:50Speaker 2: coming right up.
- 34:47Speaker 1: I was so bad and the world I between live.
- 34:56Speaker 1: See there. There are a few songs out there.
- 34:59Speaker 2: I've said this before that the start of the song
- 35:01Speaker 2: really gets me going. That is one of them right there.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Good call and I do love I am a big fan.
- 35:09Speaker 2: I know my old buddy loves that band and he'll
- 35:12Speaker 2: sing a lot of his songs. If you've never seen
- 35:15Speaker 2: Shannon in his band, they are really good. I think
- 35:18Speaker 2: they're playing this weekend. Alice Blue Gown is the name
- 35:24Speaker 2: of the band. Corey loves them, does he really?
- 35:27Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 35:27Speaker 2: Corey, Well, I love him because it's Shannon. I'm going
- 35:29Speaker 2: to support him if anything he does.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Anytime they are playing anywhere in Louisville or Lexington, Corey
- 35:35Speaker 1: Price is there? Good for Corey. I bet he has
- 35:38Speaker 1: seen We'll have to ask him next Tuesday, but I
- 35:40Speaker 1: bet he's seen them upwards of one hundred times, has
- 35:42Speaker 1: he really?
- 35:44Speaker 2: I've seen him once and uh and I was like, wow,
- 35:49Speaker 2: Shannon is out there. Really rocketed. I loved it. I
- 35:52Speaker 2: enjoyed it until I had to leave. He called me
- 35:54Speaker 2: out on in the whole bar. He's calling me out everyone.
- 35:59Speaker 2: Michael Bennett has to leave and go to bed. It's like,
- 36:02Speaker 2: what are you doing, dude, I'm just going to Why
- 36:05Speaker 2: are you giving me a hard time? He just wanted
- 36:06Speaker 2: to give me a hard time. I mean, that's that's
- 36:08Speaker 2: why I love him, you know. Just we had a
- 36:11Speaker 2: lot of fun, just like you and I have. I mean,
- 36:14Speaker 2: I'll miss the day when you and I don't work
- 36:15Speaker 2: together anymore. But that's gonna be a long time.
- 36:18Speaker 1: I hope. I hope it's a long time time. Will tell. Yeah,
- 36:21Speaker 1: I'm still did they play their own music or do
- 36:25Speaker 1: they just cover.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Every Now The funny part is, well, it's not funny.
- 36:29Speaker 2: He did do a lot of cover but they have
- 36:31Speaker 2: now come up with their own music and they've gone
- 36:34Speaker 2: and recorded it. I mean, he's gone the extra mile.
- 36:37Speaker 2: I'm really proud of what he's doing. Only time I
- 36:40Speaker 2: don't like Shannon is between nine and ten. He's an enemy.
- 36:46Speaker 2: It's a joke. I mean he's on the radio. So yeah,
- 36:49Speaker 2: I told him one day I think it would be
- 36:51Speaker 2: funny and this is kind of going to blow it.
- 36:53Speaker 2: We talked, we had lunch last week. I said, you
- 36:55Speaker 2: know what would be funny if we came up with
- 36:58Speaker 2: the exact same time topics for our show. One day,
- 37:02Speaker 2: you say the same topics and I do the same
- 37:04Speaker 2: at the same time. I thought that would be funny, except.
- 37:08Speaker 1: For it wouldn't work out. Why not because you're too
- 37:11Speaker 1: squirrel brain. Probably some you couldn't stay locked in and
- 37:14Speaker 1: do it. Yeah, you know, you know he used to
- 37:17Speaker 1: make fun of me. Are you going to talk about
- 37:19Speaker 1: sports today? It's like, okay, we'll talk about sports anyway.
- 37:23Speaker 2: I like talking sports. Don't trust me, I do. I
- 37:26Speaker 2: like to I love talking UK but I love talking
- 37:29Speaker 2: about random stuff. When somebody brings something like the guy
- 37:32Speaker 2: from I Think Illinois, when he texts in and asks
- 37:35Speaker 2: me random stuff, I love those questions and I look.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Forward to him.
- 37:39Speaker 2: I don't think we've heard from him all week. But uh,
- 37:43Speaker 2: what Josh said, I'm built like a barrel with legs.
- 37:46Speaker 2: If I tucked my shirt in, I gotta have a
- 37:48Speaker 2: vest or sport code over it, or I look like
- 37:51Speaker 2: a fat Southern Baptist preacher at an Alabama Greyhound race
- 37:55Speaker 2: untugged for life. One of my biggest pet peeves is
- 37:59Speaker 2: people sucking in T shirts to their breeches.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, T shirt tucking in is that's no good? Really?
- 38:08Speaker 1: No T shirt tucking. You shouldn't be tucking in T shirt. Yeah,
- 38:13Speaker 1: I'm probably right there too. That'll make it. I don't
- 38:16Speaker 1: think I tuck in T shirt. You want to look
- 38:18Speaker 1: real old, real quick, tuck in your T shirt. Okay. Uh.
- 38:22Speaker 2: The only time I'll tuck in a T shirt if
- 38:25Speaker 2: it's if it's an undershirt, because I like wearing undershirts.
- 38:28Speaker 1: You're not. You're not gonna leave an undertuck or undershirt
- 38:32Speaker 1: untucked while you tuck in the other one.
- 38:34Speaker 2: Impossible, No, it's impossible. Yeah, so I tucked that in.
- 38:37Speaker 2: But one person said, Michael, did you seriously ask Scots
- 38:41Speaker 2: if he could touch the bottom of the pool.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Come on, man, good point. Well, I didn't know if
- 38:49Speaker 1: he was in the kiddi pool could have been a
- 38:51Speaker 1: four foot pool. And that's a great text right there.
- 38:55Speaker 1: I appreciate that.
- 38:59Speaker 2: One person said, that's completely false about country Michael. I've
- 39:03Speaker 2: listened to both of you for a while. He's never
- 39:05Speaker 2: expressed that point of view. Yeah he has. I'm sorry, Texter,
- 39:09Speaker 2: but he has. And I appreciate you calling me out,
- 39:12Speaker 2: but he has talked about that and uh so, uh,
- 39:15Speaker 2: but it's okay to disagree with me. But uh anyway, Uh,
- 39:20Speaker 2: and I appreciate you letting me know that a lot
- 39:22Speaker 2: of people don't tuck in because it situates their accentuates
- 39:26Speaker 2: their belly. Agreed to me, I think it does the opposite.
- 39:30Speaker 2: I think not tucking it in ex situates it even more.
- 39:34Speaker 1: You don't think. So you're here, That's what I mean,
- 39:36Speaker 1: because that's why I untuck on the golf course, because
- 39:39Speaker 1: if I've got it tucked in, I feel like a
- 39:40Speaker 1: big fatty and I don't have any confidence in myself tucket. Yeah,
- 39:44Speaker 1: but you know when you are.
- 39:46Speaker 2: So when I had my really big belly and I
- 39:49Speaker 2: kept it untucked, it would the T shirt would hang out.
- 39:53Speaker 1: Yeah you're right, my belt line, you'd have that weird
- 39:56Speaker 1: gap between Yeah, yeah, you're right.
- 39:58Speaker 2: So to me, that situates it the other way. It's
- 40:02Speaker 2: like I would rather have it tucked in and pull
- 40:04Speaker 2: my pants up. Yeah you've got a point there. Okay, good,
- 40:09Speaker 2: all right then, God, you're so easy to Uh. The
- 40:14Speaker 2: NFL will not be reviewing teams videos for jokes surrounding
- 40:19Speaker 2: New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel ahead of Thursday
- 40:23Speaker 2: night's annual schedule release. Per off of Sports Are you
- 40:27Speaker 2: surprised by that, not at all. No, I mean those
- 40:31Speaker 2: two the league has no responsibility to protect them. They
- 40:36Speaker 2: kind of dug their own graves.
- 40:37Speaker 1: They did. If they want they didn't want people making
- 40:40Speaker 1: fun of them, then they probably should have avoided that
- 40:42Speaker 1: whole situation.
- 40:43Speaker 2: The league is letting teams use their own judgment regarding
- 40:46Speaker 2: potential content about Rabel's connection with Diana Rossini. I loved
- 40:52Speaker 2: it all right. So there were a couple that stuck out.
- 40:55Speaker 2: Number one San Diego. San Diego seems to be the team.
- 40:59Speaker 2: They probably have the best what do you call them,
- 41:04Speaker 2: marketing people social media experts because they do some of
- 41:10Speaker 2: the best stuff. And the one thing that they did
- 41:16Speaker 2: regarding Rusini and Vrabel, they didn't name them, but you know,
- 41:20Speaker 2: bless you, bless you. And one thing they did was
- 41:23Speaker 2: they kind of over the video put on there, this
- 41:27Speaker 2: is not for this is nothing for you to see,
- 41:31Speaker 2: nothing here for you to see. And of course that
- 41:33Speaker 2: was some of the things that Rabel and Roussini were
- 41:35Speaker 2: trying to say during this whole bit that they were
- 41:39Speaker 2: caught maybe having extramarital activities. We don't know, but it
- 41:44Speaker 2: sure seemed that way. And I love that San Diego
- 41:49Speaker 2: called them out. Do you think it's funny or do
- 41:51Speaker 2: you think it steps over a line?
- 41:54Speaker 1: Yeah? I mean I've got no issues with it. Like
- 41:55Speaker 1: I said, they kind of dug their own grave. If
- 41:58Speaker 1: you don't want people talking or making fun of you,
- 42:01Speaker 1: then I should have thought about that before. By the way,
- 42:05Speaker 1: the Chargers schedule release video six minutes long. That's outrageously
- 42:10Speaker 1: they're all kind of that long art that. That's entirely
- 42:12Speaker 1: too it is. Okay, did you well you haven't seen
- 42:15Speaker 1: the Jaguars one yet? No, okay, So Jaguars they have
- 42:20Speaker 1: their quarterback, what's his name, Trevor Lawrence, Sunshine. Yeah, Trevor
- 42:25Speaker 1: Lawrence getting a haircut. There's this less than two minutes long, Okay,
- 42:31Speaker 1: I I it's it stood out because a lot of
- 42:35Speaker 1: people are talking about the haircut, you know, because you
- 42:37Speaker 1: know he is known as Sunshine from Remember the Titans,
- 42:41Speaker 1: and he's got that long hair, and I will have
- 42:45Speaker 1: to say, he looked I know it was a wig.
- 42:49Speaker 1: I mean, there's there's no way. Go look at the video.
- 42:52Speaker 1: I'm watching it all right.
- 42:53Speaker 2: You tell me if he's really getting a haircut or
- 42:57Speaker 2: is that a way? And he looks odd with short hair.
- 43:00Speaker 2: I didn't like his look with short hair. It looks
- 43:02Speaker 2: like it's actually being cut. To me, I don't think
- 43:06Speaker 2: it is.
- 43:07Speaker 1: Whoa he does look weird at the end of it.
- 43:09Speaker 1: He does, doesn't he that that might be a wig?
- 43:12Speaker 1: That looks it's a little and he doesn't touch the hair.
- 43:16Speaker 1: You notice that he just kind of sweeps at his forehead.
- 43:19Speaker 1: He never touches the hair, which insicates to me it's
- 43:23Speaker 1: a wig. I don't I don't think it's real. I
- 43:26Speaker 1: think it's fake. Yeah, that's probably not. If it is,
- 43:29Speaker 1: that's not a good bad look for it.
- 43:32Speaker 2: It's funny. We've talked about it before. Some people look
- 43:35Speaker 2: good with bald heads. Some people really look good with
- 43:39Speaker 2: trimmed hair. Some people really look good with long hair.
- 43:43Speaker 2: I think Trevor Lawrence looks pretty good for a guy
- 43:48Speaker 2: with long hair. I just don't know how you keep
- 43:52Speaker 2: that hair out of your eyes when you're trying to
- 43:54Speaker 2: play football. Do you wear a helmet? The other part, like,
- 43:59Speaker 2: some guys really look good with dreadlocks, but there's so long,
- 44:04Speaker 2: how do you and thick? How do you put a
- 44:06Speaker 2: helmet on? And you know it's it's bound to get
- 44:09Speaker 2: pulled so why do you want hair that's going to
- 44:11Speaker 2: be pulled?
- 44:13Speaker 1: Chance you take look good? I guess so.
- 44:15Speaker 2: So the the more important part is to look good
- 44:18Speaker 2: than it is to actually score touchdowns.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Yeah okay, but you want to ideally do both. Yeah,
- 44:24Speaker 1: but okay, whatever you say. But I'm not for that.
- 44:29Speaker 1: So all right, we gotta take a break. Hour two
- 44:32Speaker 1: coming up, we're gonna talk a little bit about PGA.
- 44:36Speaker 1: Wh what happened yesterday with the Hecklers. I loved it,
- 44:39Speaker 1: And remember, don't be tardy for your tea time. Stay
- 44:42Speaker 1: right there. More Just the Cats coming up. Welcome to
- 45:04Speaker 1: Just the Cats with Michael Bennett. All right, nour number
- 45:12Speaker 1: two on this Friday.
- 45:13Speaker 2: If you want to join us, you can call in
- 45:14Speaker 2: in five O two three four fourteen fifty. If you
- 45:16Speaker 2: want to text us on the Whiskey Thief text line,
- 45:19Speaker 2: I'll get back to those in just a minute. You
- 45:21Speaker 2: can do that five O two four one four fifty
- 45:23Speaker 2: or a fourteen fifty, or you can tweet me at
- 45:26Speaker 2: Just Cat Radio, or you can also join us. It's
- 45:29Speaker 2: kind of turned around, but the YouTube channel you can
- 45:33Speaker 2: see me.
- 45:34Speaker 1: Yeah, oh you're writing frame, No, I'm not okay, do.
- 45:40Speaker 2: Whatever you I'm going to do it because it's going
- 45:43Speaker 2: to bother me. But you can go follow us on
- 45:45Speaker 2: YouTube at Big X Sports Radio, Louisville. I don't know
- 45:47Speaker 2: why you're laughing at me. I'm just trying to help
- 45:50Speaker 2: out a little good. That must be a wide lens
- 45:52Speaker 2: or something. It is, okay, that's why it doesn't. I
- 45:55Speaker 2: don't know why we have like fifty cameras in here.
- 45:58Speaker 2: But anyway, after hours, maybe there's a little you know,
- 46:03Speaker 2: would start that room. Hanky panky, start that room. Dozens
- 46:07Speaker 2: of way mos are going nuts in a neighborhood in Atlanta, Georgia.
- 46:13Speaker 1: Have you seen this? Wait, hold on, tom out, you're
- 46:15Speaker 1: telling me a car with no driver is not doing
- 46:18Speaker 1: what it's supposed to.
- 46:19Speaker 2: You are correct, Well, this is what's funny. So a neighborhood, uh,
- 46:25Speaker 2: you know, and it's course it's going to that app.
- 46:27Speaker 2: Have you ever been on that app before? Is it
- 46:29Speaker 2: called Neighborhood?
- 46:31Speaker 1: No, I've never been on it, but you know what
- 46:33Speaker 1: I'm talking about where people get on and just just
- 46:36Speaker 1: you know, complain about everything. Yeah.
- 46:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I've never been on it, but I'm at I've
- 46:41Speaker 2: been on it, so you know, it came out and
- 46:43Speaker 2: it's like, hey, everybody, you really should join this because
- 46:46Speaker 2: here you we can protect ourselves, make sure bad people
- 46:50Speaker 2: do not come to our neighborhood. Well I did it
- 46:52Speaker 2: for about twelve hours because within thirty minutes of joining it,
- 46:58Speaker 2: there were already complaints and I'm like, I'm not here
- 47:01Speaker 2: to sign up and just read complaint after complaint. That's
- 47:05Speaker 2: why I don't watch the news anymore because it's just
- 47:07Speaker 2: so negative. It's like, I'm done with it. I'm almost
- 47:10Speaker 2: to the point now I'm done with Facebook. So many
- 47:15Speaker 2: people get on Facebook and complain about everything, and I
- 47:21Speaker 2: just I don't need that.
- 47:22Speaker 1: Kind of anxiety.
- 47:23Speaker 2: So I literally got off of the neighborhood app within
- 47:28Speaker 2: a day. It might have been less than a day.
- 47:31Speaker 2: It's like, I don't need this. And then a few
- 47:33Speaker 2: of my neighbor with Michael, I don't see you on
- 47:35Speaker 2: that app. I was like, yeah, and you're not going to,
- 47:38Speaker 2: but I just I just don't want any.
- 47:40Speaker 1: Part of that.
- 47:41Speaker 2: So there is this neighborhood in Atlanta that they live
- 47:45Speaker 2: on a cul de sac and they noticed around six
- 47:48Speaker 2: or seven am in the morning, the way MO, the
- 47:52Speaker 2: driverless car it's a taxi right, was coming around their
- 47:56Speaker 2: cul de sac, and it's just not one they it
- 47:59Speaker 2: was several, like eight, nine, ten of these cars coming
- 48:03Speaker 2: in a row going around the cul de sac. So
- 48:09Speaker 2: one of the women, I shouldn't say that, and I
- 48:13Speaker 2: don't mean it that way. One of the household owners
- 48:17Speaker 2: gets out there and you know those those kids signs,
- 48:20Speaker 2: the real bright yellow ones that hold a flag, you know,
- 48:23Speaker 2: kids at play. Yeah, she puts it in the middle
- 48:26Speaker 2: of the road. Now the Waimo stops, which creates an
- 48:33Speaker 2: entire traffic jam of nothing but Waimo's because they all
- 48:37Speaker 2: stop and do not know how to turn around. Now
- 48:41Speaker 2: you've got a traffic jam in this little cul de sac.
- 48:45Speaker 2: They didn't know what to do. They've called Waimo. Waimo
- 48:49Speaker 2: has yet to return a phone call. I'm like, okay,
- 48:53Speaker 2: that was pretty smart. But on the other hand, you
- 48:55Speaker 2: just cause problems with all the rest of your neighbors.
- 48:58Speaker 2: Would you be upset with that neighbor that put that
- 49:01Speaker 2: little kid in the middle of the street, or would
- 49:04Speaker 2: you be happy that it's creating havoc hopefully for a
- 49:08Speaker 2: short time period.
- 49:09Speaker 1: Oh, I would absolutely be on the havoc side. Matter
- 49:12Speaker 1: of fact, I would be right beside that neighbor was
- 49:14Speaker 1: you really, how can I help? How can we make
- 49:16Speaker 1: this more funny than what it already is? See to me,
- 49:19Speaker 1: I would take one of those little kid signs and
- 49:21Speaker 1: I would put it now on the other side of
- 49:24Speaker 1: the way moos and to the point where they can't
- 49:28Speaker 1: do leave it at all. Yeah. Yeah, and now they're
- 49:31Speaker 1: losing money. I think it'd be funny to let like
- 49:33Speaker 1: two or three of them go and then just keep
- 49:35Speaker 1: the rest of them. They're trapped like there's some big
- 49:38Speaker 1: family in your Yeah, you're family.
- 49:40Speaker 2: You're creating a hostage situation here, Yeah, exactly, all right, Yeah,
- 49:47Speaker 2: let's trap one or two and then it's just I mean,
- 49:50Speaker 2: it's like a hog. What do they do the wild
- 49:53Speaker 2: boars that they go catch You every watch those videos
- 49:55Speaker 2: and the guys that put all this feed in the
- 49:57Speaker 2: middle of a some field and they have a round
- 50:00Speaker 2: pin around it and they capture all the hogs. That's
- 50:03Speaker 2: exactly what you're doing with waymo Yeah. I think it's great.
- 50:07Speaker 2: Only problem is what if the horn stocks honking and
- 50:11Speaker 2: then you, I don't know, you got the flashing lights.
- 50:14Speaker 2: I'm not taking a way mo I'm just not to
- 50:17Speaker 2: the point where I'm comfortable with them yet, and they're
- 50:19Speaker 2: talking will never be well because you know now they're
- 50:22Speaker 2: talking about these driverless air cabs that you catch. They
- 50:28Speaker 2: look like drones and they only cost like a couple
- 50:31Speaker 2: hundred dollars to get you from one place to another
- 50:33Speaker 2: place across the city. So they got them starting, I think.
- 50:36Speaker 1: In a couple hundred dollars, Yes, to go across the city. Well,
- 50:42Speaker 1: it's for New York City something like that. If you
- 50:45Speaker 1: need to get from one place to an airport, you're
- 50:47Speaker 1: running late, it's going to cost you any from one
- 50:50Speaker 1: hundred to a couple hundred dollars. Ridiculous.
- 50:52Speaker 2: Yeah, New York City people will pay that. That will
- 50:54Speaker 2: be like you and I dropping a couple of bucks
- 50:56Speaker 2: on a donut, okay, which I did this morning. Yeah,
- 50:59Speaker 2: I know you'd you're not even waiting until the end
- 51:01Speaker 2: of the show now, but I just I will not.
- 51:05Speaker 2: I'm not ready for driverless cars yet. I've got a
- 51:08Speaker 2: friend that has one of those Teslas and he lets
- 51:12Speaker 2: it drive itself. I don't think i'd be comfortable with that.
- 51:15Speaker 1: I mean, truthfully, I would much rather see flying cars
- 51:18Speaker 1: at this point than cars driving by themselves.
- 51:22Speaker 2: I think that's worse. But I feel like I could
- 51:26Speaker 2: survive a wreck in a driverless car then falling out
- 51:30Speaker 2: of the sky in a driverless plane Earth.
- 51:32Speaker 1: But I feel like a flying car would be more efficient.
- 51:36Speaker 1: Why is a flying car more efficient? Cover more ground?
- 51:39Speaker 1: You can't? Yes, you're right. I mean you just have
- 51:43Speaker 1: to get clearance from the FAA. But that's about it.
- 51:45Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, you know we're about to experience the worst
- 51:48Speaker 2: traffic in Louisville, Kentucky history in the next couple of weeks.
- 51:53Speaker 2: So at that point, I might instead of just losing
- 51:56Speaker 2: my mind, I might consider it. At that point, it's like,
- 51:59Speaker 2: what are we going to do? I mean, because it's
- 52:01Speaker 2: going to be difficult, especially for you.
- 52:03Speaker 1: No, it'll be easy for it won't. Coming from Indiana.
- 52:06Speaker 1: I mean, I come at six o'clock. I'm crossing the
- 52:10Speaker 1: Second Street bridge a quarter after six, So I don't
- 52:13Speaker 1: I don't anticipate it's going to be much of a
- 52:15Speaker 1: change for me.
- 52:16Speaker 2: You think there's not going to be people that start saying,
- 52:19Speaker 2: you know what, I need to leave earlier today. So
- 52:21Speaker 2: I'm going to leave at six o'clock to try and
- 52:23Speaker 2: get over to Louisville. I think it's going to be
- 52:25Speaker 2: better those first couple of days. I might have to
- 52:27Speaker 2: really be crossing the bridge at six. I still think
- 52:30Speaker 2: I'll be fine. I think it's gonna be and create
- 52:33Speaker 2: havoc for all of us throughout the city because now
- 52:35Speaker 2: you're going to have even more traffic, double triple the
- 52:39Speaker 2: amount of traffic you normally have on the Waterston Expressway.
- 52:43Speaker 2: I just I dread it, and I don't ever take
- 52:46Speaker 2: the waters, So I'm good in that regard.
- 52:47Speaker 1: You gotta take it for a little bit. No, why not?
- 52:50Speaker 1: I don't ever hop on the water something. Oh do
- 52:51Speaker 1: you get off at sixty four? That's what you do? Okay, Well,
- 52:56Speaker 1: good for you. Which there's I never deal with any traffic.
- 52:59Speaker 2: Yeah are Let's talk about PGA tournament for a little bit.
- 53:02Speaker 2: Uh Garrett Kigo, would you think of him? Yesterday?
- 53:06Speaker 1: He was late by one minute to his tea time
- 53:10Speaker 1: and he received what was it a two point stroke
- 53:13Speaker 1: penalty and still shot a minus one. I mean, credit
- 53:17Speaker 1: to the guy. He could be in the lead this morning. Yeah,
- 53:20Speaker 1: he shot a mind he shot a sixty seven, but
- 53:22Speaker 1: with the two stroke penalty, it's a sixty nine. But
- 53:25Speaker 1: I don't know. I kind of go back and forth
- 53:27Speaker 1: on this like it. Well done, Corey Price, thank you.
- 53:30Speaker 1: If there's been moments where I'm on his side with
- 53:33Speaker 1: this whole thing, and then there's been moments where I'm
- 53:35Speaker 1: on the PGA Tour side. Ultimately, you have to know
- 53:39Speaker 1: what time that you need to beware, especially when the
- 53:41Speaker 1: putting green is as close to that first tea box
- 53:44Speaker 1: as it is. You just you gotta be aware of
- 53:47Speaker 1: the situation. Well, he said it was chilly too, and
- 53:49Speaker 1: he didn't want to get out there and be cold.
- 53:52Speaker 1: So I know, to me, there should be a little
- 53:55Speaker 1: grace period, is there not? Yeah, and you feel like
- 53:58Speaker 1: there should be a grace period or yeah, I mean
- 54:00Speaker 1: I think a minute's fair. I think so too, if
- 54:02Speaker 1: you're any any later than a minute. Because he had
- 54:04Speaker 1: the quote, he said, Heck, at that point I had
- 54:08Speaker 1: up to five minutes before I was disqualified. I'd have
- 54:10Speaker 1: stayed on the pudding green, done a little bit more
- 54:12Speaker 1: warming up. Wow, I'd have taken advantage of it. Yeah,
- 54:15Speaker 1: I was gonna get a two stroke penalty either way.
- 54:17Speaker 1: Yeah he didn't. Can you imagine if he loses comes
- 54:20Speaker 1: in second place by two strokes or or or or
- 54:24Speaker 1: loses by one stroke I mean it won't and he
- 54:26Speaker 1: could have won. It won't happen.
- 54:28Speaker 2: But well a lot of people, a lot of people
- 54:30Speaker 2: are blaming him. This is just a typical of gen
- 54:33Speaker 2: xer ore gen z Ors. Do you think that's the case.
- 54:37Speaker 2: Just so Laxi baisical about his consequences of what happened,
- 54:40Speaker 2: and yeah, give me a little grace. Period time doesn't
- 54:43Speaker 2: mean anything to us.
- 54:45Speaker 1: I mean, yeah kind of. But isn't that it's on
- 54:47Speaker 1: his caddy at that point too, Like I know it's
- 54:50Speaker 1: on Garrick himself, but the caddies also got to be
- 54:53Speaker 1: cognizant of the situation and away where they need to
- 54:55Speaker 1: be at what time. I couldn't agree more with it.
- 54:58Speaker 1: I honestly, I put more blame on the cat then
- 55:00Speaker 1: I do the golf. No, it's the golfer's responsibility. He
- 55:03Speaker 1: should know wearing what time. But you're right, the caddies
- 55:06Speaker 1: should take some responsibility as well, Like, hey we got
- 55:08Speaker 1: to go dude, Yeah, I would dock him some pay.
- 55:11Speaker 1: And like the whole video of it were they're they
- 55:15Speaker 1: haven't even announced the other they're they're not even finished
- 55:17Speaker 1: announcing the other golfers yet. Like so he wasn't he
- 55:21Speaker 1: didn't miss introductions even Yeah that then that's ridiculous if that.
- 55:26Speaker 1: I didn't realize that either. But uh, all right, well
- 55:28Speaker 1: on that old guy. So did you didn't see the
- 55:30Speaker 1: video of him walking up to the te No, I
- 55:32Speaker 1: didn't see the video. There was this older guy, he
- 55:35Speaker 1: was probably in his eighties, and he just looks at him,
- 55:38Speaker 1: you know, you're late for your tea time. Oh, come on,
- 55:41Speaker 1: a prin, don't say something like that is not his
- 55:45Speaker 1: Does he work for the PGA. I would assume he's
- 55:48Speaker 1: probably a volunteer.
- 55:49Speaker 2: Then he has no say so for that. Yeah, yeah,
- 55:51Speaker 2: that is not his place. I would have looked at
- 55:54Speaker 2: him and says, you know, you what, maybe you need
- 55:56Speaker 2: to leave and go back to the get your apple
- 55:58Speaker 2: sauce at the old person home. Okay, it's applesauce time,
- 56:01Speaker 2: a little drug in it. So I did not that
- 56:04Speaker 2: was uncalled for you, right, Yeah I didn't. That's an
- 56:08Speaker 2: old man. I gotta go look that up during the
- 56:10Speaker 2: break because that's what's the video of it. It'll get
- 56:12Speaker 2: under your skin, it will, okay, Yeah, I definitely will.
- 56:15Speaker 2: What do you think about the UH Eagles fans out
- 56:19Speaker 2: there heckling Scottie Scheffler, So I missed this about Scottie
- 56:26Speaker 2: Scheffler is a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, and lo they
- 56:32Speaker 2: were yelling at him, Dallas sucks, Scottie, We're going to
- 56:36Speaker 2: smash you on Thanksgiving. And I thought the best part
- 56:40Speaker 2: was Scottie Scheffler thought it was funny, and he smiled
- 56:45Speaker 2: right back at him, and of course the whole crowd,
- 56:48Speaker 2: they weren't trying to get under his skin. They were
- 56:50Speaker 2: just trying to have some fun. And the whole crowd
- 56:52Speaker 2: was laughing about it. And some guy's yelling out there,
- 56:54Speaker 2: Scotty's a Dallas fan and they're all just heckling him.
- 56:59Speaker 2: I thought it was fun. That's the reason, you know,
- 57:02Speaker 2: there's no need to get mad. Have some fun with it,
- 57:05Speaker 2: and that's all they're trying to do. And I love
- 57:07Speaker 2: it when professional athletes return the favor. And have you
- 57:12Speaker 2: ever seen those guys at the ballpark? I think they're
- 57:15Speaker 2: based in Cleveland, where they get there and start heckling
- 57:19Speaker 2: the players in a fun way and they yell at
- 57:23Speaker 2: the end, you're a bum, and they really get a
- 57:26Speaker 2: kick out of it when the players turn around and
- 57:28Speaker 2: smile or laugh or something and.
- 57:30Speaker 1: That's all they're trying to do. They're not trying to
- 57:33Speaker 1: upset you.
- 57:34Speaker 2: They're trying to make you laugh, and that's that's what
- 57:36Speaker 2: they just want to see you act like a normal person.
- 57:39Speaker 2: And I think people appreciate that. And the fact that
- 57:42Speaker 2: Scotty Scheffler did this yesterday I think made them endure
- 57:46Speaker 2: really appreciate Scotty Scheffler even more.
- 57:48Speaker 1: I mean, at the end of the day, sports are
- 57:50Speaker 1: supposed to be fun, and that's just another storyline that
- 57:53Speaker 1: makes it fun. Scotty was in a great mood yesterday,
- 57:56Speaker 1: for what it's worth. Really, he was loving. He missed
- 58:00Speaker 1: a four foot putt at one point one that he
- 58:03Speaker 1: I mean, he makes all the time, ninety nine times
- 58:06Speaker 1: out of one hundred, and it misses and he just
- 58:09Speaker 1: looks at the camera and just smiles. I was like,
- 58:12Speaker 1: this is great. Dude's not mad. He just smiles. That's funny. Yeah.
- 58:16Speaker 2: By the way, you know, you were knocking on Justin
- 58:18Speaker 2: Thomas yesterday, not how about that? Yeah you played pretty
- 58:21Speaker 2: good yesterday. I called out him, and that's right. They
- 58:25Speaker 2: both played well. Yeah yeah, yeah. So Justin finished with
- 58:28Speaker 2: the minus one, wasn't it. Where did speed finish up,
- 58:32Speaker 2: so they're both one under good for them and Churse.
- 58:35Speaker 2: You know, they're really close friends for sure, and that
- 58:37Speaker 2: I'm sure it's a lot of fun. Would would you
- 58:40Speaker 2: like playing with one of your good friends if you're
- 58:43Speaker 2: in a tournament at that level? Or would you like
- 58:46Speaker 2: playing with somebody you really don't know that well?
- 58:49Speaker 1: Well, I mean they're not playing together, but if they did,
- 58:51Speaker 1: the situation doesn't apply. I don't know. I think it
- 58:53Speaker 1: could be fun either way. I mean, obviously you're going
- 58:56Speaker 1: to be more comfortable with the buddy of yours. But
- 58:59Speaker 1: the way that those two are specifically, I mean they're
- 59:02Speaker 1: gonna be tossing around thousands of dollars and maybe that
- 59:05Speaker 1: takes your mind off of the tournament. You know, that's
- 59:07Speaker 1: just how they are. Yeah, they were I'll never forget
- 59:10Speaker 1: in full swing when they're I don't remember what they
- 59:13Speaker 1: were playing on the plane, whether it was blackjack or
- 59:15Speaker 1: poker or what, but they're betting like a thousand dollars
- 59:18Speaker 1: a hand met. No, it was it was high card.
- 59:20Speaker 1: There been one thousand dollars on high card. I only
- 59:22Speaker 1: even know what hi card is like. We'll pick roll
- 59:25Speaker 1: out a deck and pick a card. Whoever has the
- 59:27Speaker 1: highest card wins. That's all you do. And they're betting
- 59:29Speaker 1: a lot that a grand per card hard pass.
- 59:33Speaker 2: That's that's no I am. I am not into that whatsoever.
- 59:38Speaker 2: So all right, so the Big twelve and ACC announced
- 59:43Speaker 2: that they want to have a twenty four team college
- 59:46Speaker 2: football playoff and they said, you know, well, yeah, we
- 59:51Speaker 2: need more teams in it because yeah, Notre Dame.
- 59:54Speaker 1: I'd love the fact.
- 59:55Speaker 2: That they mentioned Notre Dame. You know, the only reason
- 59:58Speaker 2: the Big twelve and ACC one this is because they
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: have weaker teams and they know they're not going to
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: get a bunch of teams in like Big ten gets
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: into SEC gets in two. That's the reason they want this,
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: and so to bring in Notre Dame of all, they
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: know they're going to get that large fan base on
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: their side to drive to a twenty four team football playoff?
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: Are you for twenty four teams?
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Do you think?
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: Because you know, you and I were kind of on
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: the same page with the NCAA March madness. We didn't
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: want more teams. Now here we are? Are we going
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: moving forward to twenty four teams in college football?
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: Before I answer that, would you rather see the tournament
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: expand to seventy six or the college football Playoff expand
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: to twenty four. That's a great question. I probably want
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: the football, really, I yeah, I couldn't be anymore oper Really,
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: twenty four teams is too many, entirely too many.
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: Yeah it is, But you're asking me between the two,
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: and I'm gonna pick basketball.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: I mean I would. I would much rather see the
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: NCAA Tournament of seventy.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: Six, as much as you've talked about how much you
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: hate them, and spending it to seventy six teams. I'm
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: kind of surprised you pick that.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: I mean, it's only it's only eight additional teams. Whereas
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: if you've got a twenty four team playoff in football,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: how often are teams sixteen through twenty four even gonna
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: make any noise? How often do they even win a game?
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: In the form and the playoff the way it's formatted
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: right now, I don't rare, very very rare. So I'm
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: completely against it twenty four. I agree that we're probably
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: gonna get there at some point, but that's that's just
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: too many. I like it at twelve. If we want
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: to go to sixteen, I'm okay with that. Anything beyond
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: sixteen to me just as egregious. Okay, well, I uh,
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: I like the more teams. I do. I I because
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: it gives your team a better chance. It does, it does.
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: My team doesn't have a chance right now, especially playing
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: the gauntlet schedule that they have to face.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: It if it goes to But if it goes to
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: twenty four, heck, I don't know, maybe three out of
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: every ten years or whatever, you'll see Kentucky's name up there.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: If it goes to sixteen, UK does have a better shot. Yeah.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: I still don't think they get in all that frequently,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: if ever, but they do have a better shot.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: Indiana, did you've become such a college football snob?
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: Now? I am. I'm not disputing at all at all.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: Thank you for admitting. By the way, I can't dispute it.
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: ESPN did announce yesterday they want to keep it at sixteen.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: Teams love it. Yeah, that they don't want to go
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: to twenty four. So they shot down the big twelve
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: in acc and you know that's got to be because
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: they're trying to keep the SEC where they are. I mean,
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: if it's they're protective of the SEC more than anybody else.
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: If it's the ACC and the Big Twelve coming out
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: with this proposal, that's never gonna pass because the Big
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: Ten and SEC rules everything around the college football. You
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: are correct, nobody cares about the Big Twelve the ACC.
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: I mean, it's just I'm sorry, l are ul fans,
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: that is the fact. Nobody cares outside of the ACC
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: about ACC basketball or football.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: I mean, if we went to twenty four last year's playoffs,
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: we would have had Duke in Virginia? Are you kidding me?
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: Get them as far out of here as possible. I
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: know Duke won the ACC championship, but they wouldn't have
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: done anything.
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: But do you think, all right, do you? Because that
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: would have allowed Notre Dame to be in as well?
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: Do you think Notre Dame was deserving honestly, and I'm
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: trying to take my bias out, do you honestly believe
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: Notre Dame was deserving of being in the playoffs?
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: Obviously not because they didn't get in, But do you
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: believe that? I do you do as well? I mean,
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: I don't think the schedule is beefy enough. I don't
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: think they had enough impressive wins. Yeah, they have one
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: of the best players in college football with Jeremiah loves Yeah,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: I mean nothing else about that team did anything for.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: Me, right, and I because I take my bias out,
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: and I still firmly believe Notre Dame wasn't even close
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: to being deserving of being in the college football players.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: And that's why I'm so against this, because if you
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: go up to twenty four and they've already made stipulations
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: for Notre Dame now with the way it is with twelve,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: that they're probably not ever gonna miss again. But if
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: we go to twenty four, Notre Dame will never ever
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: ever miss the playoffs and that night, I don't.
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: That's why Notre Dame wants it, and that's why the
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: ACC and Big twelve commissioners mentioned Notre Dame because that.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: You right, they would be in it every I So
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: now Notre Dame wants to be part of the ACC
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: when it behooves them, Well, I'm a break.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: Notre Dame has to be forced to be uh to
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: join a conference that's not gonna and I'm not going
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: to respect them until they do. No, you'll never respect
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: them exactly. I never will, and you're you're most likely
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: correct about that. I will never respect Notre Dame until
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: they do the right thing. I don't know if you
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: saw it or not, but Ohio State Texas game. You
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: know that's in Austin. Have you seen the tickets and
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: how much those tickets are going for for the very
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: first game of the twelve man nosebleed six hundred dollars
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: and I'm talking upper upper level, upper level end zone
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: tickets for over four thousand dollars.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: I mean, we got people out here buying tickets when
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: they could go to all inclusive resort in Cabo San Lucas. Like,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: what are we doing? Yeah, if I'm spending four grand
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: on one ticket, one ticket, I'm going on a vacation.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: Yeah sorry, football, Yeah yeah, I agree with you. Probably.
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: So all right, let's go ahead and take a break.
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: When we come back, I'll get back to your text messages.
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: I promise five will two, four, one, four, fourteen fifty.
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: Every one of them says start your transformation today. It's
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: gonna drive me nuts. And we got to talk a
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: little bit about breaking this. I'm looking forward to this.
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: If you don't like horse talk, I'm sorry, talk a
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: little bit about it with me. But uh, maybe we
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: can get chill winner. Yeah, mate, I doubt that, but
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: we're gonna talk about it anyway. But uh, and we're
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: gonna talk about some baseball too. I mean, big big
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: game last night, Another big game tonight.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: For the University Kentucky Batcats. We'll talk about that, stay
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: right there. More just the cats coming up.
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: On my rage, I am still just Ratty the case.
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: Despite on my rage, I am still just Raady the case.
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: Someone will say one of.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: This loust, say.
- 1:06:40Speaker 3: Despie on my rage, I am still just ready.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: Songs out saved y'all, she was down, shake it out,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: shot acrossquerels, say it out said else. I sit around
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: watch it. So this song you picked it. I didn't
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: pick this one.
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: I picked another one always reminds me of my dad.
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you was my hero. I mean I just yeah,
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: I just I love that song right there. It's I
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: always think of my dad when I hear that song
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: right there.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: I don't know who my hero is really really, I
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: mean I don't have to think long and hard about
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: I don't know who that was. Oh, it was always
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: easy for me. It was always my dad. I mean,
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: my dad's a good hero figure. Yes, But I don't
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: know if he would be number one in my hero Oh,
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: he was number one with me. I'd have to think
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: about that. Maybe I'll do that today.
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: You know, I've told you I always I double dated
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: with my parents. I wasn't dumb. They paid for everything,
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: So that was the way I got to do that smart.
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: My girlfriends loved it. They loved it. In course, my
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: girlfriend's parents always loved it because they knew, well, she's
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: out with Michael's parents. I can't be I can't go
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: wrong too much, can it. I love double dating with
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: my mom and dad. They were fun. My dad was
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: a hoot. My mom was underrated funny. My dad was
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: really funny, and he always made me laugh. And uh yeah,
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: it's just uh anyway, I think that's why people really
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: went to him, because they just were attracted to him
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: because he was so much fun. But uh, one person
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: texted in, Uh, Trevor Lawrence really did cut his hair.
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: It's been cut a couple of months. Uh google his
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: new look. Hmm, all right, you're gonna google it. No,
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: I am, because it came from the text line. I
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: trust it you do. Yeah, I just have to google stuff.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: You said.
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: Well, I'm looking now and I see the short hair.
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: But it's the only short hair I see. Oh wow,
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: wait a minute, there is a picture for on Reddit
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: that has it short, and I mean it's really okay,
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: there's oh wow he did you know who? He looks
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: like he's got a haircut like JD Shelburn.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: Yeah I see that now, yeah yeah.
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: He But but the one from the video looks like
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: a wig. It does now, the one that shows right
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: here for from TikTok, it actually looks pretty good.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Okay, all right, credit to you. I appreciate that, Texter.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: JD looks better. Oh I'm all right. JD did not
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: look good with long hair. Just to let you know,
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: I will agree with that. JD.
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: Please continue to cut your hair. I love you man,
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: You're one of my great friends. But no, don't please
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: don't grow that hair out again. It looked it looked
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: odd and uh but uh uh lits see. Michelle said
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: Fleetwood looks good in long hair.
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: That's true. If Tommy fleet would ever cut his hair
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: would be it'd feel wrong. Who's tom Fleetwood? Remind me
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: of the golfer? The golfer.
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, he's locks that's oh yeah, he
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: does look good of course, there are rock stars out
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: there that look good with long hair. There are rock
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: stars that look good with short hair. I think Freddie
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: Mercury was famously with his short hair. But there are
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: a bunch of guys out there, uh, Rod Stewart mc jagger.
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: I think they all look good with short hair. Now,
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: Steven Tyler, you don't even know who he is. He
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: looks good with long hair. I can't imagine him with
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: short hair. Is the lead singer of Aerosmith.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: I know, Stevenler. Okay, just borderline offensive you saying that. Okay, well,
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: I'm just making sure I wasn't even making fun of it.
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: A matter of fact, I'm ending the show right now
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: because of the good I'm taking off.
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: One person said, A very successful professional man once said
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: to me, a gentleman gets his haircut every two weeks,
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: looks the same all the time. That's a lot of money, though,
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: that's forty eight handily, Thank you for that.
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: Speaking of think, I'm gonna think I'm gonna take mine
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: down again this weekend, are you really how often do
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: you think I get my haircut? I would say every
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: five weeks, that's a good guess.
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: It's about every three or four weeks and then if
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: I miss this because I'm out of town. I like
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: getting my haircut, I don't like it long.
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: You get it done by the same person every Yeah,
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: Todd Bauer, he cuts my real Yeah. I like Todd. Yeah, yep.
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: I used to tease them. Uh but no, I won't
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: say I've never gotten a haircut. I man, why what's
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: wrong with that? What's wrong with getting your hair cut
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: by mouthing? I just I've always had women do it? Really,
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: so you go to hair by Shannon? No? Is that
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: who cut your hair? Shannon does? She'll put me together
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: a wig though if I need it? Is Shannon a woman? Yeah? Okay,
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: Shannon the haircut lady. Remember she's good friends with Josh's
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: Josh and his wife.
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: Oh okay, No, I don't remember that. Uh hey, Michael
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: and Scoots. Would you rather pick to go to your
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: prom or have a chance to play for a sectional
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: title in the sport?
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: Oh it's good.
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: Floyd Central has its prom on Saturday, and the boys
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: volleyball team, comprised of eight seniors and four juniors, didn't
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: play On Wednesday. Their junior varsity tim played and lost
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: to their rival New Aubity Wow.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: Wait, So here's the one thing I don't understand about
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: this story. Did Floyd Central's JV team play so they
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: would lose on purpose and wouldn't have to make that
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: decision for Saturday? Patrick? Because that's I think even more
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: wrong than having to make a decision.
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: Come see to me, all right, man, that is a heart.
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: Would you rather pick to go to your prom or
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: have a chance to play for a sectional title? That's
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: a great question right there. I can remember my son,
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: my youngest son, played on baseball for his high school team,
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: and if they won this one particular game, they would
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: play Saturday of Derby, so they would intentionally lose that
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: game every time so they could go to Derby. This
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: is different though, This is a prom and their seniors.
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: So would you want to miss your last senior prom?
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: To me?
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: I would think, who is this Floyd Central? I would
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: think the people, the good people at Folloyd Central would say,
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: you know what, can we make an exception here or
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: can we schedule the game earlier because we have the
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: prom Saturday night or Friday night?
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: What every night? It was? But what what if that
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: wasn't a possibility? There has to be a compromise here. No,
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: I would probably pick to going to the prom, same
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: you would. Why would you pick the problem? I mean,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: it's your last one fun.
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean we had a junior and senior problem
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: when I was growing up. I went with the same
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: girl to use in a row and I would miss
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: the chance to go with her. She was one of
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: my closest friends. I loved her and we had a
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: ball together. I mean we were buddies. Well she well
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: she was kind of a girlfriend, but I mean we
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: were more friends than anything else. We had fun. I
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: would hate to miss that with her, So yeah, I
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: would probably pick that. So, I mean, I guess it
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: really it's a shame. I guess it really determines are
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: you going anywhere with that sport? Like if that was
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: your if that was your last ever volleyball game, but
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: maybe you're going to college to play it, then I
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: think I'd be more okay with going to prom. If
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: you're not going anywhere with the sport, then I think
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: it'd be a little bit more tough to swallow, because
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: you want that one last time out on the court. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: I hear you, But well, yeah, you're probably right. One
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: person texted in Michael. You rub your shoulders with a
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: lot of rich people in Lexington. Do you think if
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: Kentucky needs twenty million a year to put a Final
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: four team on the court every college basketball season? Do
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: you think the money is there that that's a phenomenal
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: question coming out of Florida has to.
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: Do.
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: I think the money is there. I think the money
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: is close to being there. I don't think it's twenty
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: million a year, because you know, you just can't go
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: to the well with the same people every single year.
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: They're gonna change it up.
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: I mean they'll do they'll they'll they'll donate two or
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: three years in a row. Then it's like, you know what,
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: I gotta I got something else going on. I can't
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: do it this time.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: I buy a twelve million dollar ham Sorry.
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: Yeah, well you know that's one of them right there.
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: Obviously it's the Crafts, but there are a few other people.
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: There are some quiet, quiet, quiet wealthy people in Lexington,
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: and they are even more here in Louisville that you
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: do not know are as wealthy as they are. There
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: are a few people that know it, but just walking
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: around you would like, oh he is he's a billionaire.
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: I never knew that, So I think you can get
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: close text here. That's a great question right there. Yes,
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: I think the money.
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: Can be there. I think you can.
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: I think Kentucky can definitely get eighteen nineteen million every
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: single year. But then you got to spread it out
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: through some other people to get that extra two or
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: three more million, so it can happen. And that's why
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: I offer to uh will Stein. I wasn't joking when
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: I said I'll help you raise some money. I didn't
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: get the phone call, but I was offering because I've
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: had a couple other schools within this state that have
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: asked me to help him.
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: Doesn't look like he needs any help while he's cooking.
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: Probably not. But you know what, that's just the first year.
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: People are excited the first year. Just like I told
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: you the other day. In business, first year is always
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: one of the easiest. It's the second and third year
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: of the toughest people. They they really go towards that excitement.
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: But then I did the first year go Well, if
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: it did, you can create that excitement again. But if
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: it went okay, how do you recreate that excitement again?
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: Asked Mark Pope. That's what he's trying to figure out.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: Oh yeah, uh.
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: One person said, as a promoter, would you trust more
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: Jake Paul or Don King? Oh my gosh, these are
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: some great questions today.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: Let me ask you this, all right, Why should I
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: not trust King? That's a legit question. Okay, I'm not
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: I would swear up and down.
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: I don't know this for a fact, but man, I
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: don't think he took care of Mike Taste Tyson too well.
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: And I think there are factual there are facts out
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: there that prove that. I just I don't That's a
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: hard question right there. I don't know if I would
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: trust Jake Paul or Don King. But you gotta pick one.
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: I know, you gotta pick one. I'm probably going with Man.
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: I might go with Jake Paul.
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: I do think Jake Paul's probably the better businessman. Yes,
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: out of the two, I would agree with that, But
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: I do also not knowing all that much about Don King.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: They're still screwy with the money.
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you right now, and I think Mike
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: Tyson would say the same, would take the same thing.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: I'd probably go with Don King, just because I think
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: Jake Paul's a little sleep.
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: See I think you're going with Don King because you
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: don't know him as well well. And I remember Don
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: King growing up. I mean he was famous with that
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: hair going straight up in the air.
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: Oh yeah, why I asked, I shouldn't trust Don King?
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: Yeah, see, I asked, I don't think. I don't think
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: either one of them can be trusted. And because I'm
- 1:19:17Speaker 2: probably going like you did, and I think that's the
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: smart move. You go with the person that has a
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: little better business sense. And I think you're right. I
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: think it's a good call that Jake Paul probably has
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: the better business sense, So I'm going that rackets he might,
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: he might screw me out of a little money, but
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: I might be making more than I would have with
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: a person that's not as good at business.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: But Jake Paul has a better understanding of how things
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: are operating now versus true Don King probably doesn't have
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: that knowledge.
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: Yeah, Don King's no longer with us passed. I don't
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: know that. So I'm not gonna say yes or no.
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: I don't know. But uh, anyway, while you're looking, we're
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: gonna go ahead and take a break. Five O two
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: three eight four Do you want to call? Fourteen fifty
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: if you want to call in follow to keep the
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: text coming in, because I will have to say, texters,
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: y'all are doing a phenomenal job on these questions today.
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: He is what how old is he?
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: Wow?
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: Good for Donk? Is the hair still going up straight?
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: A little bit? Not not nearly?
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: God?
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: Yeah, that was his trademark. I mean you knew don
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: King was coming three miles away because you saw that
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: Finn coming. I mean he was basically a shark and
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: maybe that's why. Anyway, Yeah, he's a shark, all White.
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: Let's go ahead and take our last break, say right there,
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: one more segment on this Friday at just the Cats Chilly.
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: Scheme.
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: Every Oh, this is something else right here. I know
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: this band, I can't think of who it is. Who
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: is it? Allison Allison Change? I like Allison Change. That's
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: kind of a bizarre song, right there? Uh he rooster, Yeah,
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: I like that song. Jolie's texting in today. I'm now
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: really excited.
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: Jolie said, I would like to submit my application to
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: be Justin's hero.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: I just I don't bring.
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: Much to the table as far as being a hero goes,
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: so I don't expect an interview. I just feel like
- 1:21:59Speaker 2: he should have someone cheers to the weekend. Gentlemen, that's
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: a great text right there, she is on it. I
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: love this lady. I'll put you in consideration. Joe Jolie.
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: I'm not kidding. You are quickly becoming my favorite texter.
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: I just want you to know, and I hope I
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: get to meet you one day, and yes, you should
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: become Justin's hero.
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: Honestly, if I were to sit down and think about it,
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: I would say, it's probably my opah ah, that's not
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: I would have to think long. Yeah, but it would
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: probably be well, see, it would be both my mom
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: and dad. You know, typically I talk about my dad more,
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: only because it's not been that long since he passed away.
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: It's been a long time since my mom passed away.
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: But you know, I think about my parents every single day.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: And let's not get depressed.
- 1:22:48Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: The section of the one person Patrick said, the sectional
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: final is at six pm. Their prom is at six pm.
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: See, I would probably play in the game same shower
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: real quick and check out the second half a prom.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: That'd probably be the way I would go about it.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: But yeah, it doesn't matter. It's a moot. Point now
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: because they're not in the sectional finals.
- 1:23:08Speaker 2: True, true, But I mean it seems like they could
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: have made some sort of concession for them to say,
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: you know, let's let's address this. I would blame the
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: athletic director or the coach and say, listen, guys, we
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: need to go represent our seniors that want to go
- 1:23:28Speaker 2: to their last prom and then also want to play
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: in the sectional. This is not fair to them.
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: And and at that point you say, all right, there's
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: got to be a compromise. I mean, even moving the
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: game up an hour, that's all you gotta do. How
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: big of a deal with that? That is absolutely no
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: big deal. Why can't you make it a couple hours?
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: I mean, I just I don't understand that. And I
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: feel so bad for them that they weren't able to
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: do this, and.
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: It's just it's, oh well, whatever, I just forget it. Josh,
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: sounds like Don King needs some help getting his hair up.
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: I bet he could do it with a trip to
- 1:24:07Speaker 2: game day Men's Health.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: Sure. Absolutely.
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: Nineteen eighty nine, the year Scoots was born, gave us
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: one of the greatest new renewals of the Preakness Sunday Silence.
- 1:24:22Speaker 2: The Derby winner was out to prove his victory over
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: the Phipps champion, Easy Goer Boy. That was a great race,
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: was no Fluke in a thriller stretch drive. They went
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: at it the quarter pole, from the quarter pole to
- 1:24:36Speaker 2: the wire, with Sunday Silence prevailing by a head. It
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: was a classic.
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: But it couldn't win the Belmont.
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: No, heck no. So all right, well let's go ahead
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: and talk about it right now. Who I know you've
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: kind of looked at who's going to be in it.
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: Of course there's only three horses from the Kentucky Derby.
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: You got taj Mahal five to one, Poncho Who's up
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: there five to one, and Incredible all five to one,
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: Iron Honor is nine to two, and Osceelia's six to one.
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: What sticks out to me is why did they name
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: this the horse chip Han Show. It should not be
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: chip Honho, It should be my concho? Am I right
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: about that? I don't get where you're trying to go
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: with that. You don't remember who my concho is. I
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: was in Playgirl, I spread my butt cheeks. Come on,
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: this is I can't believe you don't remember that. That's
- 1:25:34Speaker 2: John c Riley he claimed he was my Concho and
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: he he posed for Playgirl. Thank you, my goodness. So
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: Chip Honcho needs to change his name to Michael. It's
- 1:25:48Speaker 2: his brother, Okay, it's his brother. Yeah, he did play Boy.
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: I think that which one?
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: Why do you say that? I just I think it's
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: gonna be taj Mahal. I don't know everything. It feels
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: like this race just really sets up for him. Really,
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: why is iron? But I'm going with great White Give
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: me great White baby? Well, I like that.
- 1:26:07Speaker 2: Taj Mahaal trained by Brittany Russell, owned by one of
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: my really good friends, Jack Wolfe. Uh and his family.
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: Uh so they're a part of taj Mahaal. And uh
- 1:26:17Speaker 2: you got o'celly trained by Whitsworth Beckman. I mean that
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: might be the greatest training name in the world.
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: If taj Mahaal wins, that would probably be the best story,
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: right if it's trained by a woman. Yeah? Another one.
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: Can we just get a woman trainer in all three legs?
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: That would be pretty cool. If we're not going to
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: get a triple Crown horse, at least get a little history.
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: But but don't you want Whitworth Whitworth Beckman to win
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: this with o'celly. Come on, Whitworth Beckman's a great one.
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: Oh Sally's not winning. That horse is tiny, all right,
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: that doesn't matter. That horse is not That does not
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: matter if it's tiny. Here to tell you on this Friday,
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: that horse is not winning.
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: Chiponcho, trained by Steve as Music, lives here in Little
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: of course, his son is one of the riders out
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: there at Churchill Iron Iron Honored, trained by Chad Brown.
- 1:26:59Speaker 2: I will not be rooting for that horse. I am
- 1:27:02Speaker 2: not a fan of Chad Brown. By the way. Chad
- 1:27:05Speaker 2: Brown just lost one of his big owners too, that
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: took all of his horses away from him.
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not a I'm not. I had a bad
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: experience with Chad Brown one time at Derby. Yeah fair enough.
- 1:27:16Speaker 2: Yeah, incredible who I've always liked. Incredible. It did okay
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: in the Derby. I love the trainer Riley Mott. I
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: think Riley's a real between him and Will Walden, who
- 1:27:29Speaker 2: was the son of Elliott Walden. I think Riley might
- 1:27:33Speaker 2: have a slight edge to Will Walden. I think he
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: is one of the most up and coming trainers out there.
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: I think he does.
- 1:27:40Speaker 2: Of course, it's the son of billbo Mott, who won
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: last year with your favorite horse, Sovereignty Great White trained
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: by john Nis Gelding. That's the one if you remember that, correct.
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: You didn't know that, No I did. I was just okay, Yeah,
- 1:28:00Speaker 2: I have all times getting my horse break. That's one
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: of those Yeah, I get it. That's one of those
- 1:28:04Speaker 2: things that sometimes they do that to young horses because
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: it settles them down and they run faster. So uh yeah.
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: Ridgeling is another thing where the you know, the cohones
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: don't drop.
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: There's also cribbers, and they have to identify these horses
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: before they sell them. And a cribber is uh he
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: sucks in air and gets high, so which can be
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: a detriment. Yeah, gets high, gets it. It becomes a
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: detriment to the horse and they don't live as long.
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: So you don't want to I've never wanted to buy
- 1:28:36Speaker 2: a cribber.
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: Wait, what does that even mean? He breathes air and
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: gets high. He somehow gets high? Yes, like a drug, Yes,
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: like these deer and yes, well yeah exactly. By the way,
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: I did see a video of that. Oh my god,
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: that was hilarious. Yeah. Great White zoned by three Chimneys.
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: It's got fifteen to one odds. So who who.
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: Are you looking at as your big winner that everybody's
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: going to win a ton of money from this weekend.
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: I think it's gonna be Chiponcho. If it's not Chip Honcho,
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: I'm going with Incredible, And if it's not incredible, I'm
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: gonna ride the way with Great White. I talked about
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: his caboose on my show. Yeah. Yeah, huge engine on
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: the back of that horse. I mean, it's he. I
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: expect him to be in this race, especially not being
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: able to run two weeks.
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: I'm a little disappointed you didn't pick one horse. He
- 1:29:23Speaker 2: hadn't me mentioned one horse in this field.
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: You haven't mentioned him either. I know, I was just
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: trying to he doesn't have a chance. He doesn't Corona Diorro.
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: I hope he wins. I hold more than anything that
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: horse wins, So I corse I do. I can come
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: in here on Monday, And I told you so, Michael.
- 1:29:40Speaker 2: I know, but I just you know, I talked to
- 1:29:42Speaker 2: Dallas yesterday. I just say, if it weren't for you, Dallas,
- 1:29:44Speaker 2: we wouldn't be where we are today. And all the
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: credit goes to you because he picked his horse. He
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: called us, says, I have an athletic corse. I'll never
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: forget last fall. He was saying, you're gonna have hard
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: time decide who's gonna wear, gonna have the jockey wear,
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: who suit silks, and because you know, there's so many
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: people that own the horse.
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: And I'm like, this is great.
- 1:30:06Speaker 2: I mean, he he really believes in this horse, and
- 1:30:09Speaker 2: I love that he does.
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: I just think he's outmatched. So probably we'll see, we'll see.
- 1:30:15Speaker 2: I mean I never dreamed in year one of getting
- 1:30:18Speaker 2: into horse racing like I've gotten into. I would have
- 1:30:21Speaker 2: one of the horses I'm a part of in a
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: triple Crown race.
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: Pretty cool. I mean that is cool. Exactly means you're
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: around the right people. I tend to think.
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: So let's see forty eight handlers say Chad Brown doesn't
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: need Peter Brant, That's who I was referring to as
- 1:30:36Speaker 2: a big owner that left him. He's got Claravic is
- 1:30:40Speaker 2: his main man. I get it, but yeah, I still
- 1:30:42Speaker 2: wouldn't work with him. Great White winning would be the
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: best story. Then there's always the what if it didn't
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: rear up before the derby? Yeah, I see I think
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: that's a great I would suck. You're absolutely right, Texter,
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: because you don't know what would have happened. But like
- 1:31:02Speaker 2: Cherie Devo, you don't know what would have happened with
- 1:31:05Speaker 2: Golden Tempo. I just don't think it would have won
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: for Summer is And this is not a knock. I
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: just don't think Golden Tempo's a triple crown window. I
- 1:31:14Speaker 2: just don't think it is. I think it ran its
- 1:31:16Speaker 2: race for.
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: The derby, and she obviously didn't think it was either. Yeah,
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: exactly so, but it'll be fun. I'll be out next week,
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: but all week. No, no, I'll be on the radio.
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: I just won't be in the studio. So I'll be
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: on Monday, Tuesday, and then we have special guests coming
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: on Wednesday that will I will not be on Wednesday,
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: but we have fun special guests. Okay, So are you
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: okay with that? Yeah? I love us. Just making sure all.
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: Right, everybody have a great weekend. Appreciate you, listen, Appreciate
- 1:31:45Speaker 2: all the texts. It's always fun having you here. We'll
- 1:31:47Speaker 2: see you on Monday on Justic Cat. Yes you know.
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: Way hain't got an h
