- 0:00Speaker 1: Toby and Chili Mornings on Demand on ninety seven point
- 0:04Speaker 1: one Wash it Out.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Good morning and welcome to the end of the week.
- 0:07Speaker 2: You've almost made its ninety seven point one wash FM
- 0:10Speaker 2: Toby and Chilly in the morning. You're feeling good today?
- 0:13Speaker 2: Tell us all about why eight sixty six nine two,
- 0:16Speaker 2: seven forty three sixty one is the number of talkbacks
- 0:18Speaker 2: open too? Because joy is contagious? Chilly, why are you
- 0:21Speaker 2: feeling good as we get ready to wrap up the
- 0:22Speaker 2: week and get in the super Bowl weekend?
- 0:24Speaker 3: Well, you mentioned the super Bowl, but you know what
- 0:26Speaker 3: today is tonight the opening ceremony is. That's right, Well
- 0:32Speaker 3: the Olympics in Italy. Why am I singing like that?
- 0:34Speaker 2: But anyway, as you are feeling the glee and the
- 0:38Speaker 2: joy of the olympiad, I.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Will say, I really get geeked out about the opening
- 0:43Speaker 3: ceremony and I get the goosebumps. And every country has
- 0:46Speaker 3: their own twist or you know what I mean, theme,
- 0:48Speaker 3: and I always love the commentary about what the symbolism is.
- 0:52Speaker 3: And you know, I think to this day, gosh, was
- 0:56Speaker 3: it Beijing's that just blew everybody away?
- 0:59Speaker 2: Yeah, they they were not playing.
- 1:02Speaker 3: With the technology anyway, I'm looking forward to that. So
- 1:05Speaker 3: that's why I'm feeling good.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Stuff. You know why I'm feeling good today, Well because
- 1:09Speaker 2: after our conversation about laundry the other day here with
- 1:12Speaker 2: Toby and Chilly in the morning, and realizing that both
- 1:15Speaker 2: you and Crash believe that laundry is done when you've
- 1:18Speaker 2: finished folding and putting all your stuff away. Well, yesterday
- 1:21Speaker 2: I did just that good. I washed, I dried, then
- 1:25Speaker 2: I took it out, put stuff on hangers, folded up
- 1:28Speaker 2: what needed to be folded up, and put the stuff away.
- 1:31Speaker 2: I still think it's not a part of the equation.
- 1:33Speaker 2: I think I was technically done doing the laundry when
- 1:35Speaker 2: the dryer buzzed. But you know what, I was able
- 1:39Speaker 2: to wear clothing a second time this week because it's
- 1:42Speaker 2: clean and I like this little this jacket thing I'm
- 1:45Speaker 2: wearing keeps me warm. Little wins. It's ninety seven point one.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Watch FM tell us about yours if you have some time.

- 2:55Speaker 3: twenty seventh, and also mid June to meet state requirements.

- 4:38Speaker 3: In a good head space as you take on the
- 4:40Speaker 3: rest of your day, maybe with little motivation and a quote.
- 4:44Speaker 2: And watch what we do here because of our Best
- 4:48Speaker 2: of the eighties and nineties weekend. We turn to a
- 4:51Speaker 2: nineties artist in a nineties song for some words that
- 4:54Speaker 2: really were inspirational and if maybe you didn't think of
- 4:58Speaker 2: them before, this might change your mind. From Oasis, the
- 5:01Speaker 2: band Oasis, they say in Wonderwall, today is gonna be
- 5:06Speaker 2: the day that they're gonna throw it back to you.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Now what does that mean? Today is gonna be the
- 5:10Speaker 2: day that they're gonna throw it back to you. Well,
- 5:13Speaker 2: what this means, I think, and why this matters to us,
- 5:17Speaker 2: is that sometimes life circles back to give you and
- 5:20Speaker 2: I the moment that we thought we missed. So we
- 5:23Speaker 2: need to stay ready. Oasis with your Morning Mindset today,
- 5:28Speaker 2: just in time for your Best of the eighties nineties weekend.
- 5:30Speaker 2: It starts five o'clock today with Sabrina Kanti And if
- 5:32Speaker 2: you have some words that have inspired you, share them
- 5:36Speaker 2: with us, and perhaps maybe they'll inspire the rest of
- 5:38Speaker 2: the DMV in this space. Next week with Toby and
- 5:41Speaker 2: Chile in the Morning on ninety seven point one wash FM,
- 5:44Speaker 2: We're coming up in just a few minutes. There's a
- 5:46Speaker 2: show Chilly that I'm just so delighted by, pleasantly surprised
- 5:51Speaker 2: by that. I've been binged it and streamed at all.
- 5:54Speaker 3: Is it something you think I would like? Like? What
- 5:57Speaker 3: genre would you say it is? Well, it's a Marvel,
- 6:00Speaker 3: Marvel show I've already checked out.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Oh come on now, well.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Well you're gonna convince me.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Otherwise you're gonna try. Okay, and I may not be successful,
- 6:08Speaker 2: but I'll give it to the old college try okay.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Why you're gonna have to convince me and tell me
- 6:14Speaker 3: why this Marvel show is so marvelous?
- 6:17Speaker 2: All right? Hang on, that's next Toby and Tilly in
- 6:20Speaker 2: the Morning. Here at ninety seven point one wasch FM.
- 6:23Speaker 2: If you're thinking about a new binge this weekend, I've
- 6:27Speaker 2: got to tell you about a show that it's got
- 6:29Speaker 2: me feeling all kinds of good this weekend. It's Wonderman
- 6:34Speaker 2: on Disney Plus.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Wonder Man is a Marvel character that's right.
- 6:38Speaker 2: It's a new Marvel series, but it's not like the
- 6:42Speaker 2: typical superhero Marvel type thing. There are no Avengers, there's
- 6:48Speaker 2: kind of this superhero crazy stuff. Although there is a hero,
- 6:52Speaker 2: it's not another Cape spectacle, if you know what I mean.
- 6:55Speaker 3: So, what do you think makes is something that even
- 6:57Speaker 3: somebody who's not a fan of the superhero genre, why
- 7:01Speaker 3: would I enjoy it?
- 7:02Speaker 2: Because it's raw and it's real, and it's a story
- 7:03Speaker 2: about real people living with real dreams, real flaws in
- 7:08Speaker 2: a world where, yes, there are superheroes. And the people
- 7:11Speaker 2: who do these reviews they say that this is one
- 7:13Speaker 2: of the Marvel Cinematic universe's best shows because of the
- 7:19Speaker 2: emotional truth that they doubled down on over then planet
- 7:23Speaker 2: over planets that are on the brink of destruction and explosions.
- 7:27Speaker 3: I don't know what wonder who wonder Man is like?
- 7:30Speaker 3: Is he related to Wonder Woman? Are they married? Are
- 7:32Speaker 3: they brother sister? Does he have the same powers that
- 7:35Speaker 3: Wonder Woman has?
- 7:36Speaker 2: Like wonder Man is from an old Marvel comic from
- 7:39Speaker 2: back in like the sixties. Okay, but in this case,
- 7:42Speaker 2: in the case of this movie, the main character is
- 7:45Speaker 2: an actor and he's auditioning to play the part of
- 7:49Speaker 2: wonder Man. The journey is not about him having some
- 7:52Speaker 2: secret superpowers or saving the world. It's about wrestling with
- 7:55Speaker 2: past mistakes that he's made, unlikely friendships, o strengthen, pursuing
- 8:01Speaker 2: being normal, redemption, and ambition.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Okay, so he's not actually a superhero. He's auditioning to
- 8:08Speaker 3: play a super.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Well, he does have some superpowers, he keeps them under wraps.
- 8:12Speaker 2: I don't want.
- 8:12Speaker 3: To ruin this story for you, Okay, Okay.
- 8:15Speaker 2: But I'll say this. If you want NonStop action, wonder
- 8:17Speaker 2: Man is not that show for you. But if you
- 8:19Speaker 2: crave character depth, really good storytelling, and a story that
- 8:22Speaker 2: has got humanity and delivers it with heart, wonderment, I
- 8:26Speaker 2: really do.
- 8:26Speaker 3: Once I'm done streaming all my shows, I will.
- 8:30Speaker 2: I'm looking forward to hearing about those coming up too,
- 8:33Speaker 2: because Chili's shows are really good. To Hey, they're interesting
- 8:36Speaker 2: for me to stream sometimes because they make me think
- 8:39Speaker 2: outside of the box. Toby and Chilly in the Morning
- 8:41Speaker 2: at ninety seven point one watch and eight sixty six

- 10:18Speaker 3: Investigators say they are following all leads but if not
- 10:21Speaker 3: identified a suspect. Fairfax County Fire and Rescue crews had
- 10:26Speaker 3: to use a rope rescue system to save a person
- 10:29Speaker 3: who fell about two hundred feet into a ravine in
- 10:32Speaker 3: McClain yesterday. Officials say the individual was brought to safety
- 10:37Speaker 3: after responders worked at the scene. Montgomery Public Schools superintendent
- 10:41Speaker 3: has proposed a new boundary plan that would permanently move
- 10:45Speaker 3: Wuton High School from its longtime Rockville location into the
- 10:49Speaker 3: new Crown High School facility in Gaithersburg, and critics argue
- 10:53Speaker 3: that the move disrupts community and they prefer renovating the
- 10:57Speaker 3: existing Wooton building instead. Prince George's County is going to
- 11:01Speaker 3: be bringing back their juvenile curfew at National Harbor this weekend.

- 11:25Speaker 3: DC came in at number one, and that was followed
- 11:28Speaker 3: by Portland, Maine, and Kansas City, Missouri. And finally, according
- 11:31Speaker 3: to a survey, a record twenty six point two million
- 11:35Speaker 3: Americans may skip work or school on Monday right after
- 11:38Speaker 3: the Super Bowl. That is up from twenty two point
- 11:41Speaker 3: six million last year, potentially costing five point two billion
- 11:45Speaker 3: dollars in loss productivity. Forecast today cloudy with a chance
- 11:49Speaker 3: of light snow this afternoon. Highs in the mid thirties.
- 11:52Speaker 3: Right now fifteen in False Church.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Don't forget to get the news. Toby and Chilly's top
- 11:57Speaker 2: stories at the top of the hour here at ninety
- 11:59Speaker 2: seven point one wash and coming up next we're gonna
- 12:02Speaker 2: talk about Well, all I can say is this play
- 12:07Speaker 2: stupid games, get stupid prizes. Did you see this guy
- 12:11Speaker 2: who decided to clear out some snow creete with a
- 12:13Speaker 2: very non traditional way of doing so. Yeah, some people
- 12:19Speaker 2: use pickaxes and some people use shovels. Not this guy.
- 12:23Speaker 2: If you don't know what we're talking about, we'll tell
- 12:25Speaker 2: you in minutes, and then we'll have a conversation about
- 12:28Speaker 2: the dumbest idea you've ever had that caused a ton
- 12:32Speaker 2: of damage. That's next. It's Toby and Chillian in the
- 12:34Speaker 2: Morning continues. They say necessity is the mother of invention.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Toby and Chilly in the Morning, It's ninety seven point
- 12:41Speaker 2: one watch FM. But when that necessity is getting rid
- 12:45Speaker 2: of snow and ice and snow crete, and you turn
- 12:47Speaker 2: to a blow torch to try to clear said snow
- 12:50Speaker 2: and ice and snow creet that's not exactly the best
- 12:54Speaker 2: idea to come up with. And this gentleman in Massachusetts
- 12:59Speaker 2: did it just that.
- 13:01Speaker 3: He used a blowtorch to melt the ice on his
- 13:03Speaker 3: roof and ended up setting his house on fire. That's
- 13:06Speaker 3: what happened. He burned his house down with that blowtorch.
- 13:09Speaker 3: Thankfully nobody was hurt. But he's not the only person
- 13:14Speaker 3: I'm seeing on social media using these massive blow torches
- 13:18Speaker 3: to try to melt things off the driveway, the sidewalks.
- 13:21Speaker 3: I even saw somebody with these blow torches trying to
- 13:25Speaker 3: dig their car out so they've got these flames by
- 13:28Speaker 3: the tires, by the gas tank. I'm like, are you
- 13:31Speaker 3: guys stupid? That's like literally asking for trouble.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Yeah, And everything inside of me wants to try to
- 13:38Speaker 2: defend this guy, but then again, you can't defend dumb.
- 13:42Speaker 3: And by the way, none of those videos look like
- 13:44Speaker 3: the ice is truly melting as fast as you think
- 13:47Speaker 3: they would with a blow torch.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Yeah right, I mean, who lights a blow torch near
- 13:50Speaker 2: a car tires melt? Come on, you've seen this on
- 13:53Speaker 2: the side of the belt Way to seventy sixty six
- 13:56Speaker 2: before anyway, I mean, it's just ridiculous, but it does
- 13:59Speaker 2: beg the question, is there something that you've done.
- 14:03Speaker 3: The dumbest thing you've ever done?
- 14:05Speaker 2: If you had an idea and it just wasn't the
- 14:07Speaker 2: best idea and it caused a ton of damage. Eight
- 14:11Speaker 2: sixty six nine two seven forty three sixty one is
- 14:14Speaker 2: our number. The talkback microphone also works if you're signed
- 14:18Speaker 2: in listening to us on your iHeart app right now.
- 14:20Speaker 2: We won't make fun of you too much, we promise,
- 14:23Speaker 2: And if you want to change your name or you
- 14:24Speaker 2: want to stay anonymous, that's okay too. Call us now
- 14:27Speaker 2: with that dumb idea and let's commiserate. We'll talk in
- 14:31Speaker 2: minute Toby and Chilly in the morning ninety seven point
- 14:35Speaker 2: one wash FM. We want to hear from you about
- 14:39Speaker 2: the dumbest idea that you've ever had that caused a
- 14:43Speaker 2: lot of damage.
- 14:45Speaker 3: We bring this up because a guy in Massachusetts set
- 14:48Speaker 3: his house on fire while he was trying to melt
- 14:51Speaker 3: the snow on the roof of his house with a blowtorch.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Can't make this stuff up, people, you just can't. But
- 14:59Speaker 2: maybe you've to something that wasn't so smart when you
- 15:02Speaker 2: look at it in retrospect caused a bunch of damage.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Good morning, Edward and Shan Tilly. Thanks for calling eight
- 15:08Speaker 2: six six ninety two seven forty three sixty one to
- 15:11Speaker 2: jump into the conversation this morning. What happened?
- 15:13Speaker 5: I tried to break the ice off my roof by
- 15:15Speaker 5: throwing the shovel up towards it, and unfortunately I didn't.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Pull the outdoor glass table away.
- 15:21Speaker 5: The shovel landed right on top of the table and
- 15:24Speaker 5: just completely shattered the glass.
- 15:26Speaker 2: It was a bit of a nightmare.
- 15:27Speaker 3: Well, you know, Edward, I guess there is a silver lining.
- 15:30Speaker 3: You didn't break one of the windows. The table probably
- 15:33Speaker 3: costs less than replacing a whole window would have.
- 15:36Speaker 2: But yeah, what she said, otherwise, I have no words, sir.
- 15:41Speaker 3: Thank you for sharing though.
- 15:42Speaker 2: And have a good day. Good morning, Kate, howdy in
- 15:46Speaker 2: Saverna Park? Was that dumb idea you had to cause
- 15:48Speaker 2: some damage?
- 15:49Speaker 6: I ignored a noise in my car because you know,
- 15:52Speaker 6: I just didn't want to deal with it, and it
- 15:54Speaker 6: turns out that it very much wanted to deal with
- 15:57Speaker 6: me on the highway expensively.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Oh, Kate.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Look, I have been guilty, Kate of ignoring the dashboard lights.
- 16:06Speaker 3: But it's a little bit tougher to ignore noise.
- 16:09Speaker 2: Yeah, like when you hear a sound from your car
- 16:11Speaker 2: that when you got it was just running smooth, purring
- 16:14Speaker 2: like a kitten, and you know, you get behind the
- 16:17Speaker 2: wheel and you hear it, that's probably a sign that
- 16:21Speaker 2: something needs to be addressed.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Otherwise it's going to address you, just like your card it.
- 16:26Speaker 3: Yeah right, we're glad you're safe though.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Yes, although probably not the smartest idea to ignore it,
- 16:32Speaker 2: Hopefully it wasn't too much out of your pocket and
- 16:35Speaker 2: damage eight sixty six ninety two seven forty three sixty
- 16:38Speaker 2: one talk Back open too. If you want to jump
- 16:40Speaker 2: in and you're listening on your iHeart app taps, you
- 16:43Speaker 2: can send us a quick note and tell us what
- 16:45Speaker 2: was the dumbest idea You've had to cost a lot
- 16:48Speaker 2: of damage. We promise we won't judge you too much.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Or Toby and Chilly in the Morning, it's ninety seven
- 16:54Speaker 2: point one watch FM. Can't wait to hear from you
- 16:56Speaker 2: and can't wait to get you up to speed with

- 27:23Speaker 2: this Sunday. Oh yeah, it's the Super Bowl. Yeah, the
- 27:27Speaker 2: Seattle Seahawks the New England Patriots. So where do you
- 27:31Speaker 2: stand or are you like.
- 27:32Speaker 3: Even going to be watching it?
- 27:35Speaker 2: Are you? How are you? I mean yeah, I mean
- 27:38Speaker 2: every single watching that halftime shows ever talking about that Bunny,
- 27:42Speaker 2: I don't know. Well, we're going to dissect the big
- 27:46Speaker 2: game coming up. We'll talk about some picks and more.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Stay with us Toby and Chilly in the Morning. Ninety
- 27:53Speaker 2: seven point one washem. As we get into the weekend,
- 27:56Speaker 2: it's one of those weekends some people lament other people
- 28:00Speaker 2: they wait all year for this weekend. It's Super Bowl
- 28:03Speaker 2: weekends Sunday. We'll all gather for the cultural phenomenon that
- 28:08Speaker 2: is the biggest of all big games.
- 28:11Speaker 3: Some people love the teams that are playing. Some people
- 28:13Speaker 3: looking forward to halftime shows. Some people are looking forward
- 28:15Speaker 3: to the commercials.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Seattle Seahawks taking on the new England Patriots, and I'm
- 28:20Speaker 2: excited about that matchup because finally we're done with the
- 28:24Speaker 2: Chiefs for now and we're done with like the Eagles,
- 28:27Speaker 2: and you know, this is a new look for the
- 28:30Speaker 2: Patriots and the post Tom Brady Bill Belichick era and
- 28:34Speaker 2: Seattle has the chance to be very exciting. Do you
- 28:37Speaker 2: think it's.
- 28:37Speaker 3: Gonna be a close game? Yes, that's good because if
- 28:40Speaker 3: it's not a close game, if it's a blowout, it's
- 28:42Speaker 3: boring for everybody. Oh.
- 28:43Speaker 2: I think this is gonna be one of those games
- 28:45Speaker 2: where if you go to the bathroom, you're gonna miss something,
- 28:47Speaker 2: so the funnel will be real. Okay, this is This
- 28:50Speaker 2: has the potential to be one of the best Super
- 28:52Speaker 2: Bowls I think in the last at least twenty years.
- 28:56Speaker 3: I usually watch at least through halftime because it starts
- 28:59Speaker 3: around six, you know, and so it allows me to
- 29:01Speaker 3: watch a couple hours and the Bad Bunny halftime show.
- 29:05Speaker 3: I'm really looking forward to see you because I don't
- 29:08Speaker 3: have a horse in this race, and I'm happy for
- 29:11Speaker 3: both teams getting there. Like you said, there's no Tom Brady,
- 29:15Speaker 3: there's no Bill Belichick, so it's a whole different team.
- 29:17Speaker 3: I don't mind that they're in the Super Bowl, so
- 29:21Speaker 3: they're the underdogs this year. I'm just going to go
- 29:24Speaker 3: with New England. If I had to pick, you're taking
- 29:26Speaker 3: the underdog. I love taking run for you, but I
- 29:30Speaker 3: do I do.
- 29:31Speaker 2: I do like this New England Patriots team, and I
- 29:33Speaker 2: really like their new coach, so you're picking them too.
- 29:36Speaker 2: I like their quarterback. But I'm not going to take
- 29:38Speaker 2: the New England Patriots over the Seattle Seahawks. Yeah, because
- 29:41Speaker 2: the Seattle Seahawks are number one. They're on that coast,
- 29:45Speaker 2: so it's the time change ain't going to be a thing, okay.
- 29:47Speaker 2: And number two, they just really have so many potent weapons.
- 29:52Speaker 2: I mean, nobody thought the Seattle Seahawks were going to
- 29:56Speaker 2: just just blow through all of their competition this year
- 29:59Speaker 2: to get to where they're at. And I feel like
- 30:01Speaker 2: it's going to be a close game. The Seahawks to
- 30:04Speaker 2: me have the edge. I'm thinking it's going to be
- 30:07Speaker 2: twenty four to twenty Seattle.
- 30:09Speaker 3: That's your score.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Yeah, what about you, I'll.
- 30:11Speaker 3: Go twenty eight twenty four New England. Just to make
- 30:14Speaker 3: it different.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Now, for those who are the betting persuasion, the line
- 30:18Speaker 2: is four and a half points to New England because
- 30:20Speaker 2: they're the underdogs. So if I were to bet on
- 30:23Speaker 2: that line, I would bet on New England. But if
- 30:25Speaker 2: I were to bet on an overall win Seattle.
- 30:28Speaker 3: I am looking forward to sort of recapping it all
- 30:30Speaker 3: on Monday because I wonder if there's going to be
- 30:32Speaker 3: like this one OMG moment in the game or commercial
- 30:36Speaker 3: or even the halftime show that everyone's going to be
- 30:38Speaker 3: talking now.
- 30:39Speaker 2: And that's what we'll be talking about on Monday. So
- 30:43Speaker 2: good luck to those who observe the Super Bowl on Sunday.
- 30:47Speaker 2: Super Sunday, we hope that the betting gods are in
- 30:50Speaker 2: your favor. Think about what an extra thousand dollars could
- 30:54Speaker 2: mean for you, Like it would be a down payments
- 30:58Speaker 2: on maybe a new car because you're car like the
- 31:00Speaker 2: wheels are about to fall off. What would you do
- 31:03Speaker 2: with it? Toby and Chilli in the morning ninety seven
- 31:05Speaker 2: point one WASHFM, think about it and make sure you're

- 31:24Speaker 2: right about now. Toby and Chili in the Morning, ninety
- 31:26Speaker 2: seven point one WASHFM. And according to this Chili, I
- 31:29Speaker 2: guess people are going to be consuming lots of chicken wings.
- 31:32Speaker 3: Yeah, on Super Bowl Sunday, one point five billion wings
- 31:36Speaker 3: are gonna be eaten. Do you know that's ten million
- 31:38Speaker 3: more wings than last year.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, Chili at these are interesting times. You
- 31:43Speaker 2: know the world is an interesting place right now. It's
- 31:45Speaker 2: it's like comfort food wings, really it is, and it'll
- 31:49Speaker 2: be like comfort food if your team doesn't win. So
- 31:53Speaker 2: go get some wings, people, ninety seven point one WASHFM,

- 32:20Speaker 2: that everybody knows Oasis the song wonder While, specifically the
- 32:24Speaker 2: line that says today is gonna be the day that

- 32:30Speaker 2: this important? What does this mean to you? And I
