Eagle Road in Meridian is getting a smart new safety upgrade: variable speed limits that drop to 45 mph during rush hour to keep traffic flowing safely. Starting August 17, drivers will see dynamic signs between Franklin Road and Chinden Boulevard during peak times—7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.—with speeds returning to 55 mph outside those windows.
