- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan DeLugo.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks so much for being here.
- 0:05[SPEAKER_00]: Your Jacksonville, Jack Wars are one of no after defeating the Carolina Panthers.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: 26 to 10 in the season opener.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_00]: 2025 is off to a very very good start for your Jack Wars.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to get into it a recap of sorts here today.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: This is going to be the most vanilla shortest
- 0:25[SPEAKER_00]: analysis of the game we have, but it's going to be a basic recap, kind of some offensive and defensive MVP, some big picture takeaways, and then we'll get into a deeper dive on multiple levels throughout the next several days for y'all.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: But look, you're Jacksonville Jaguars again.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: They are one and a no after defeating the Carolina Panthers 26 to 10 in Jacksonville.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_00]: There was a weather delay.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: Did it impact the game all that much?
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, I have no idea.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: have the rain delay, weather delay not happened.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: But your Jag war is finished at up 26 to 10 against the Carolina Panthers.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of takeaways from this.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to get into it.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all being here.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.

- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: look good while supporting the channel further.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: So, lots of things to get into.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: I feel so bad for doing a wingard, right?
- 1:22[SPEAKER_00]: Had that pick six negated by a holding call on Jordan Lewis, but Jordan Lewis,
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: He did ball out a little bit, had a hell of an interception, off of a recode, doubtful, dropped past, popped up in the air, and the Jaguar has had multiple interceptions and multiple takeaways in this one.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars were a team that struggled on a historic level in 2024 to take away the football, and they did not struggle to take away the football today.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: Again, Jordan Lewis,
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: Crazy Interception.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: That was absolutely beautiful.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: You all saw it.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: You also saw Eric Murray in the first half.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he had an incredible first half a little bit not quite as good in the second half.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: Mr. Tackle that led to a tube of hovered touchdown, but in the first half Eric Murray had a past breakup popped up in the air
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: And it's basically an assist for FOIA, Luke, and getting an air reception.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: And then FOIA, Luke, and also got a forced mumble in the first half, right?
- 2:19[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, FOIA, Luke, and defensive MVP easily, because you saw Jordan Lewis, stand out play, right?
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: Defensively, but also mistake, Eric Murray, multiple stand out plays defensively, but a big mistake.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: FOIA, Luke, and he was your defensive MVP today, multiple forced turnovers, and was a tackling machine.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: Boy Aleuk and typically is a tackling machine.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_00]: That's how it goes when you talk about watching boy Aleuk and play football, right?
- 2:47[SPEAKER_00]: 10 tackles on the day, led the team and tackles very, very impressive performance for boy Aleuk and who has been a team captain for the Jaguars since he's been here.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: He's just that type of player.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: But I do want to shout out Eric Murray because
- 3:03[SPEAKER_00]: He's a safety who the Jack Wars brought in.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: They feel very confident in him.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: They liked what they saw from him in Houston for the last several years, especially last year when he had a really big role with them.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: He's been a leader, even though he's not a team captain.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_00]: He is a leader, and they had a lot of confidence in their safety, and those safety did a good job today.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: So credit to Eric Murray, credit to Dewey Wingard, not perfect, but very good games for them.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_00]: And FOIA, Luke, and definitely the defense of MVP.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_00]: multiple force turnovers and ten tackles.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how you get much better than that from the linebacker position.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: So kudos to you for a little can absolutely love it.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: I've been one of my favorite players for the Jaguars for a very long time.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: That will continue moving forward.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's in a defense right now.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: that will allow him to really shine.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: Like, this is a guy who's been a very good player and some bad defenses throughout his career.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: When you get in on a defense that's well coached, and I think Anthony Campanylight is a really good defensive coordinator.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: Based on what we saw today, and based on what I've heard since before he got here or when he got here, the people he's been with in the past speak so highly of him, and since he's been here, I think that his players play really hard for him.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_00]: They're excited to play for him.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: But FOIA, Luke, and how about it?
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: Travis ETN, wow, got to be the offensive MVP.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: 16 carries 143 yards, 8.9 yards per carry, along with 71 a huge run by Travis ETN, shout out to Britain's strange for the block that sprung it.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: But then, Diami Brown, as well, doing a good job, blocking down the field, Britain's strange.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's not gonna go down as like this unbelievable day for him from a stat perspective, but he was huge as a utility player.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: And then also, four catches for 59 yards on four targets.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: He averaged 14.8 yards per catch and he was a player who Trevor Lawrence could consistently rely on in big moments in this game.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_00]: So Britain Strange.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: Again, how about it?
- 5:17[SPEAKER_00]: Love to see it from Britain's Strange and just the Jaguar is getting off to a good start after all the high up after all the story lines this year to go out and win a game convincingly 26 to 10 despite having a lot of issues in this game.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: That's what you wanted to see.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: Not perfect, and we will talk about it, but the offense felt so much better from a play calling perspective, confidence, talent, all that stuff.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: Travis Hunter, the other Travis on the offense who had a really nice day overall, really,
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: the biggest name in Jacksonville now after the Jaguar's traded up from five to two to get him, gave up first round picks to do so.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: He had a nice day.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't anything crazy, but he was targeted eight times six catches, 33 yards, five and a half yards per catch.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: And again, it was a lot of what I expected.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_00]: If you've been paying attention here, I expected Travis Hunter to potentially be the Jaguar's leading receiver in terms of
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: Not only today, but throughout the year.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: I predicted he would lead the Jaguars and catches and he did because they are going to feed him the football early often, close to the line of scrimmage, all that stuff.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: He did have one opportunity that got away from him.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't a perfect throw by Trevor Lawrence by any means, but it was a play that Travis Hunter got both hands on it.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: Looks like he should have probably come down with it.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: Still, Travis Hunter, a very good debut.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: He did get some reps on defense as well.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_00]: This was not the type of game where the Jag war is needed.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: Travis Hunter to be that type of impact player that you expect from a second overall pick.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: And that you expect from someone who played both sides of the ball and in college and played both sides of the ball today.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: One of the highs in Travelle as a, they didn't need him to be that player today.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: But it was a good start for Travis Hunter.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: And obviously, that's what everybody is paying attention to nationally as Travis Hunter.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: But overall, not a eye-popping performance from Travis Hunter, but a good solid start to his NFL career.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: Offensive, so much better, so much cleaner called the running game looked a lot better.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: They were clearing holes routinely.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: They were just, you know,
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: You never saw or I shouldn't say never you very rarely saw last year in 2023 as well
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: Big holes for running back to run through, you know, well drawn up, run concepts and well executed runs concepts, you saw that a lot more today, right?
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: And then the defense as well felt so much better.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: You saw some blitz dialed up, you saw guys that really feel more comfortable in zone coverage, you know, the Jaguars were a much more man-heavy defense last year.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: One of the most man-heavy defenses we've seen in recent years under Ryan Nielsen, Tyson Campbell is a much better zone corner.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: You bring in Travis Hunter.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_00]: He's a really good zone corner.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_00]: Then you're safe.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_00]: These Eric Murray, duly-winger, they're able to read what's in front of them and make plays on the ball.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: And I just think that you saw that in a very big way today.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: The zone defense and a well executed zone defense performing at a much higher clip loved to see that.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: There were some certainly some moments where the Panthers run game.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: was a little bit too effective, especially early on.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: It kind of slowed down, and there were some really impressive run stops by the jag wars and short yarded situations, and so I think the jag wars kind of picked it up in the run defense department and this one against a good run blocking offence of lime, even without Echem Aquana.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_00]: This is a good run blocking Panthers team, a good rushing Panthers team, and they did pick up 113 yards on the ground, which is
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing out of the ordinary, that's a very average pedestrian, 4.5 yards per carry, but Bryce Young had five carries for 40 yards.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: You take that away, which you don't want to completely eliminate from that, from the analysis, but the running backs really didn't have all that effective of a game.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: Chewbe Hubbard ended up with 16 carries for 57 yards.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: He did score a touchdown on a catch out of the backfield, but when you're talking about the run defense, I think that this was a game where...
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: for the Jaguars to win, they needed to execute in the run defense department.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: And overall, outside of the first couple drives, I think they really did that at a high clip.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_00]: And that's something they can hang their hat on.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm impressed with Anthony Campanylei's first play calling out as a defensive coordinator for the Jaguars.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: I talked about this before the game.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars were the more talented team and I believed.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: the team that would be much better coached, and it looked like that in this game.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they won 26 to 10, despite having a lot of areas to improve upon.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna get into those areas to improve upon, but first I did want to mention, no Mason Smith in this one, which was a bit of a surprise.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: Defensive Tackle, I think that really,
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: It is an odd situation.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: Especially after what happened last year with Mason Smith where he was a second round pick, didn't get on the field a lot was inactive a good bit.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll need some more clarification.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_00]: And the Jaguar's coaching staff could be talking about the Liam Cohen could be talking about that right now.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: I have not listened to the post game press conference yet.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_00]: Again, we'll dive much deeper into the analysis part of this.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: But,
- 10:39[SPEAKER_00]: No Mason Smith was a surprise.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_00]: However, with Eric Armstead, with Devon Hamilton, with Austin Johnson and Colin Saunders, you needed to defend the run today, and those are the guys that I think, maybe they felt most comfortable with defending the run.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: Now.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: As I mentioned, even though it's a great start, 26 to 10 win in week one, Jaguar fans, you should be happy you should relish in this.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: There is a lot to improve upon.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: This is a performance in which the Jaguar probably should have dropped 40 on the board at least.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: There was a lot of offensive mistakes holding calls.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: other offensive penalties way too often.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_00]: Drops, Trevor missed a couple throws through an interception that was ill-advised, right?
- 11:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like no one was really perfect on the offensive side of the ball, outside of, you know, maybe Travis, E.T.N., fantastic performance, right?
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: But there was a lot to improve upon.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_00]: And against a better team, which
- 11:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Panthers, as I've said, could be a team that looks decent down the stretch, but they have a long way to go.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_00]: They're young, especially on the defensive side of the ball, they have a lot of new pieces, Derek Brown coming back from injury, which by the way, he made some nice plays.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: But they have the potential to be a decent team down the stretch, but I did not expect them to be a decent team in week one, and I think we saw that pretty clearly.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_00]: So there's a lot to improve upon if the Jaguars want to contend with the best teams in the league.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: And they've got a number of very good teams on their schedule coming up.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: They've got the Bingo's next week, they've got the Texans in week three, they've got the 49ers, they've got the Chiefs, they've got the Seahawks and the...
- 12:22[SPEAKER_00]: rams like there's a lot of good teams upcoming on this schedule.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: So they're going to have to play better.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to have to reduce the penalties.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the penalties were a trotious in this game by the Jaguars.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: And that was an issue that we saw throughout the preseason, throughout training camp, throughout these practices, you know, pulling up the penalty yardage.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: It's not something you want to see.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's really ugly.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_00]: 11 penalties for 93 yards for the Jaguars is far too many penalties.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_00]: You can't have that.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: You can't have the drop.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_00]: You can't have the mist throws.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_00]: And this is not a complete indictment on the offensive line or Trevor Lawrence or the receivers.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's just they need to clean things up a good bit if they want to, again, be able to contend with the best teams in this league.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: you were able to get away with this stuff against the Panthers, which I expected them to be able to get away with it, and they did.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: But they had some misses, they had too many misses in this game.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_00]: From an execution standpoint, the things you can control, they did not control well enough.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_00]: And if they did control them better, you wouldn't have seen Cam little attempting four field goals.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: You would have seen probably 40 points on the board.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's early.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_00]: This is not to say you should panic, even though you're wanna know.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_00]: This is to say the Jaguars need to get better, moving forward.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_00]: They need to play a cleaner game, especially offensively moving forward if they want to beat the Bengals next week.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_00]: If they want to beat a lot of the tough teams on their schedule upcoming, right?
- 13:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's just bottom line.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_00]: That's the way it is.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: But I think it was a good start.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_00]: wasn't perfect.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_00]: You don't need to be perfect in this type of game.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: You just need to get the W and they got the W a resounding win against the Carolina Panthers and prove on the thing you need to improve upon penalties, drops, basically just mental mistakes, execution, and you will have an opportunity with the talent on this football team in the coaching that this football team now has.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: to win a lot of games this year.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all tuning in.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_00]: We'll get into this game a lot more throughout the coming days.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_00]: But again, thank you so much for being here.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all have a good one.
