- 0:00The situation for precious metals is escalating quickly, so
- 0:05much so that right now gold is the most crowded trade on Wall
- 0:11Street. We're going to look at that and
- 0:13a number of other key factors that are pushing precious metals
- 0:17and I think also crypto currencies to new highs as we
- 0:22move into the next two to three years.
- 0:26First, thank you for being here. Thanks for being part of the
- 0:29basement. It's a big deal when you come
- 0:30down here and join me, please subscribe to the channel, share
- 0:34this with your friends. Super chat.
- 0:36Super thanks are never expected, but always very much
- 0:40appreciated. Let's dig into this new
- 0:50information we have about gold and how it is becoming the most
- 0:55crowded trade on Wall Street from Yahoo Finance.
- 0:59After surge to record highs, gold overtakes the Magnificent 7
- 1:06as the most crowded trade on Wall Street.
- 1:09This is. Remember the Magnificent 7?
- 1:12We thought they were just going to go higher and higher forever
- 1:14and ever. Well, gold has surpassed the
- 1:17Magnificent 7 tech stocks as the most crowded trade on Wall
- 1:20Street as the precious metal surge to record highs this year
- 1:24amid volatile markets and uncertain economic back
- 1:27backdrop. According to the latest Bank of
- 1:31America Fund Manager survey published this week, nearly half
- 1:36of the fund manager surveyed see long gold or bets that gold
- 1:41prices will rise as the most crowded trade in the market
- 1:45right now. This marks the first time in two
- 1:48years that fund managers did not see the Magnificent 7 as Wall
- 1:53Street's most crowded trade. So remember, guys, the
- 1:57Magnificent 7, we're talking about NVIDIA, Microsoft, Amazon,
- 2:03and there's a few more, I think Netflix, but we're basically
- 2:06talking about the big tech companies, and gold has silently
- 2:11overtaken them as the most popular, most crowded trade on
- 2:17Wall Street. What is that telling us and why?
- 2:20That may beg the question, why are we not hearing about this
- 2:25more on the front page of the Wall Street Journal or CNBCI?
- 2:30Wonder why? Because gold and silver are
- 2:34alternatives to the Fiat money system, much like what a lot of
- 2:38people refer to as digital gold, Bitcoin, and cryptocurrency.
- 2:42I think this bodes very well for the future of all of the
- 2:46alternative assets. And why is this happening?
- 2:49You might be asking couple key reasons #1 tariffs are creating
- 2:54mass uncertainty in the economy right now.
- 2:58Big cuts to government spending are creating massive uncertainty
- 3:02in the economy right now. The stock market was already in
- 3:07bubble territory before all this starting.
- 3:11And many will argue, and I am included in that, that the stock
- 3:14market is still pretty much in bubble territory.
- 3:18The weaponization of the dollar people are moving away from the
- 3:22dollar and the dollar denominated assets.
- 3:24A lot of that started during the during the onset of the Ukraine
- 3:29war situation. And finally, right, anybody with
- 3:33a calculator in half a brain, any of us who passed 3rd grade
- 3:38math class can look at the US debt clock.
- 3:41And here's the US debt clock. We are closing in on $37
- 3:47trillion in debt. OK, let me remind you, one
- 3:53trillion, 1 trillion is equal to 1,000,000 * 1,000,000.
- 3:59And we have 37 trillion and that that might explain why we have
- 4:03almost 325,000 debt per taxpayer in this country.
- 4:08And anyone who's alive and considered AUS citizen now owes
- 4:12a hefty $108,000. But where it gets real scary
- 4:17guys, is when we go down here, let's draw.
- 4:20It's been a while. Let's draw on the and we'll use
- 4:24orange today when we go from the debt down here to the interest
- 4:31on the debt, this number that I'm circling in orange, which is
- 4:35a trillion dollars in annual interest that we are now paying
- 4:39on the debt level. Remember, that feeds back into
- 4:43this number, right, the budget deficit.
- 4:47And guess where the budget deficit feeds into?
- 4:50It feeds right back into the US national debt.
- 4:54This circular motion that you're seeing there is not a merry go
- 4:59round. No, it is a debt spiral.
- 5:02And it explains a big reason why a number of big investors,
- 5:07central banks, sovereign wealth funds, big hedge funds, big
- 5:11wealthy family offices are moving to gold like no other
- 5:16time in history. All of this in a backdrop of so
- 5:20much uncertainty. Because the icing on top of the
- 5:23cake is we also have political uncertainty in the United States
- 5:30because we get this shocking headline today, Thursday,
- 5:34President Trump says, quote, Powell's termination cannot come
- 5:39fast enough. Referring to this gentleman
- 5:41right here, Jerome Powell, right, the chair of the Federal
- 5:45Reserve. Guys, it is not a good thing
- 5:47when the president of the United States is putting pressure on
- 5:51the Federal Reserve. Jerome Powell again on Thursday
- 5:54by saying in a social media post that he should lower interest
- 5:58rates and that Powell's termination cannot come fast
- 6:02enough. Paul was speaking on Wednesday
- 6:05of this week at the Chicago Economic Forum.
- 6:09And basically I was watching it and my blood pressure went up
- 6:13because he was explaining stagflation without saying
- 6:18stagflation and saying that basically the Fed is in a very,
- 6:23very difficult situation right now.
- 6:26Which further adds fuel to the reasons why so many people
- 6:31around the world are moving to gold now.
- 6:34You know what moves after gold? I mean, right now the current
- 6:37gold to silver ratio sits above 100.
- 6:41It's insane. OK.
- 6:43Silver will play catch up to gold and we'll probably do so
- 6:47within the next, I would say 4 to 6, maybe 8 weeks in the
- 6:53fundamentals behind silver, right?
- 6:55The supply deficit that we're dealing right now creates an
- 6:58even more explosive opportunity for the silver price.
- 7:03You may get mad at me for saying this, but I think that we could
- 7:07see 40 and $50 silver much, much sooner than any of the big
- 7:12analysts are talking about. And at the same time, we have
- 7:16the situation where the DXY, the dollar index is decreasing below
- 7:21100. Let's go take a quick look at
- 7:23that because that right when we get this DXY index in the 9796
- 7:29range will be even more power behind the silver rally.
- 7:34Here's a quick look at the DXY index, which is below 100 for
- 7:39the first time in a while. Let's take a look at the one
- 7:44year chart, OK? You can see definitely the first
- 7:47time in the last year. And if we go back three years
- 7:51again, right, the first time in three years also it tried a
- 7:56couple times, but now he's actually moved below 100.
- 8:01And let's go back to see when the last time that we were
- 8:04hopefully it was back in 2022. So a move below right, got down
- 8:10to 90 in 2021, got down to 90 range in 2018, but has been as
- 8:20low as 75 back in 2011. Now remember what happened to
- 8:26the silver price back in 2011? That was when silver last hit
- 8:31$50 per oz. If we get a DXY index reading
- 8:34down to 75 again, we're going to see numbers more like 70 or $75
- 8:40per oz in silver. Just my opinion.
- 8:43Don't make any financial decisions based on anything I'm
- 8:46saying. I also want to say thank you for
