• 0:09
Speaker 2: seen the speeches from whether it's Leader Schumer or kinds
• 0:13
Speaker 2: of past tweets from President Biden. No, we all wanted
• 0:17
Speaker 2: this man gone, and now he is gone. I think
• 0:20
Speaker 2: we should really appreciate exactly what happened here, and I
• 0:23
Speaker 2: think we did, just as I salute our military what
• 0:26
Speaker 2: they've done that was really surgical and precise and very efficient.
• 0:30
Speaker 2: So why we can't celebrate these kinds of things.
• 0:33

Speaker 4: It's the forty seven Morning Update and it starts right now.
• 3:08
Speaker 4: Story number one, Donald Trump coming out making it very
• 3:11
Speaker 4: clear on Venezuela and their oil reserves.
• 3:14
Speaker 5: We're going to run everything. We're gonna run it.
• 3:18
Speaker 4: When asked what would happen to Venezuela's oil reserves, which
• 3:21
Speaker 4: are now worth trillions of dollars, Trump's remarks came aboard
• 3:26
Speaker 4: Air Force one during a gaggle with reporters on a
• 3:29
Speaker 4: flight back to DC from Palm Beach, and according to
• 3:33
Speaker 4: the newest report, Venezuela has as of Saturday's oil prices,
• 3:38
Speaker 4: approximately seventeen point three trillion in oil reserves, which exceeds
• 3:44
Speaker 4: the collective global gross domestic product excluding the United States
• 3:49
Speaker 4: and China. Just to put it in perspective, a reporter
• 3:53
Speaker 4: started a question by stating, Venezuela has seventeen billion worth
• 3:58
Speaker 4: of oil reserves. Donald Trump responded with more, you mean trillion?
• 4:03
Speaker 4: Did you say billion or trillion? I said billion, The
• 4:06
Speaker 4: reporter replied, to which Trump emphasized it's much more than that,
• 4:10
Speaker 4: And then the President had this to say.
• 4:13
Speaker 6: Venezuela right now is a dead country. We have to
• 4:15
Speaker 6: bring it back, and we're gonna have to have big
• 4:17
Speaker 6: investments by the oil companies to bring back the infrastructure.
• 4:21
Speaker 6: The oil companies are ready to go. They're gonna go in.
• 4:24
Speaker 6: They're gonna rebuild the infrastructure. You know, we built it
• 4:27
Speaker 6: to start off with many years ago. They took it away.
• 4:31
Speaker 6: You can't do that, and you can't do that with me.
• 4:33
Speaker 6: They did it with other presidents. An election to take
• 4:36
  Speaker 6: place in Venezuela.
• 4:38
Speaker 3: How soon is an election take place?
• 4:40
Speaker 6: Well, I think we're looking more at getting it mixed,
• 4:43
Speaker 6: getting it ready first, because it's a mess. The country
• 4:46
Speaker 6: is a mess. It's been horribly run. The oil is
• 4:50
Speaker 6: just flowing at a very low level, much lower than
• 4:55
Speaker 6: even if it was badly run. It should have more income,
• 4:58
Speaker 6: more oil than what they do have. The big wealth
• 5:00
Speaker 6: companies going and they're gonna fix the infrastructure and they're
• 5:04
Speaker 6: gonna invest money. We're not going to invest anything. We're
• 5:07
Speaker 6: gonna just take care of the country. We're gonna cherish
• 5:10
Speaker 6: the country. We're gonna take care of more importantly of
• 5:12
Speaker 6: the people, including Venezuelans and are living in our country
• 5:16
Speaker 6: that were forced to leave their country. Yeah, they're gonna
• 5:19
Speaker 6: be taking very good care of yes man, Yes, I
• 5:25
Speaker 6: have which one you fall off? The business they want
• 5:30
Speaker 6: to go in so badly before the operation took place, Yes,
• 5:35
Speaker 6: did you maybe take them off well before and after?
• 5:38
Speaker 6: And they want to go in and they're gonna do
• 5:40
Speaker 6: a great job for the people of Venezuela and they're
• 5:43
Speaker 6: gonna represent us well. But you know, the infrastructure is rusty, rot,
• 5:48
Speaker 6: most of it unusable. It's whole it's broken. You see
• 5:52
Speaker 6: pipe slaying all over the ground. Hasn't been nothing's been
• 5:56
Speaker 6: invested for years. Chevron's enters, you know, they've done a
• 5:59
Speaker 6: good job, but even they haven't been in a position
• 6:02
Speaker 6: to invest money because they're at a month to month basis.
• 6:06
Speaker 6: They're only there because I wanted them to.
• 6:08
Speaker 4: Be Donald Trump again making it clear, we're gonna run everything.
• 6:11
Speaker 4: We're gonna run it, We're gonna fix it. We'll have
• 6:13
Speaker 4: elections at the right time. And the main thing is
• 6:16
Speaker 4: you have to fix it. It's a broken country. There's
• 6:19
Speaker 4: no money, there's inflation like we would have had if
• 6:23
Speaker 4: we didn't win this election, and we would have been
• 6:25
Speaker 4: Venezuela on steroids, the president said. Trump noted Saturday that
• 6:30
Speaker 4: American oil companies will go into Venezuela to repair the
• 6:33
Speaker 4: badly broken oil infrastructure. The world agrees it is absolutely broken,
• 6:39
Speaker 4: and he said that he'd spoken with the old companies
• 6:41
Speaker 4: before and after the operation about resolve to remove the
• 6:45
Speaker 4: former dictator Maduro from power. This, of course, try to
• 6:50
Speaker 4: turn into a fake controversy by the media claiming that
• 6:53
Speaker 4: he had tipped off by asking the question the oil companies.
• 6:57
Speaker 4: Another pathetic story yet again from the left. What we
• 7:02
Speaker 4: also know is this Chevron's in As you know, the
• 7:06
Speaker 4: President said, they've done a good job, but they haven't
• 7:09
Speaker 4: been in a position to invest money because they're on
• 7:12
Speaker 4: a month to month basis. They're only there because I
• 7:15
Speaker 4: wanted them to be there. Now things are changing, and
• 7:19
Speaker 4: what's very clear is the President Unitasticks of America is
• 7:22
Speaker 4: not holding back saying this is how the country will
• 7:26
Speaker 4: be saved, and as he described it, it will not
• 7:30
Speaker 4: cost Americans any money, something very different from what we
• 7:35
Speaker 4: witness in Afghanistan, in Iraq. The President making it clear
• 7:39
Speaker 4: we'll fix it and then they're going to pay for
• 7:42
Speaker 4: all of it. That is something that the President was
• 7:45
Speaker 4: very clear on. He was also asked by NBC's Kristen
• 7:49
Speaker 4: Welker in an interview about are we at war with Venezuela.
• 7:54
Speaker 4: I want you to hear how NBC News is reporting
• 7:56
Speaker 4: on that as well.
• 7:58
Speaker 7: The President reacts to today's arraignment during my phone call
• 8:02
Speaker 7: with him, telling me, quote, it is an extraordinary moment
• 8:05
Speaker 7: in history. That's true, and it's great for the Hemisphere.
• 8:09
Speaker 7: He went on to say the prices of oil are
• 8:11
Speaker 7: going to, you know, be reduced. The President also telling
• 8:16
Speaker 7: me we are not at war with Venezuela, and that
• 8:19
Speaker 7: he would not need congressional approval to send in a
• 8:22
Speaker 7: second strike. One of the biggest questions right now is
• 8:25
Speaker 7: who is really in charge in Venezuela. After President Trump
• 8:29
Speaker 7: said explicitly on Saturday that the US would run the country.
• 8:32
Speaker 7: I asked the President about that today, if Secretary's Rubio
• 8:36
Speaker 7: and Headseth Stephen Miller would be the top three people
• 8:40
Speaker 7: in charge of Venezuela. The President said, yeah, among the
• 8:43
Speaker 7: top people, including JD.
• 8:46
  Speaker 2: Vance.
• 8:46
Speaker 7: I then asked him who will be the top person
• 8:49
Speaker 7: if there is one. The President's answer to that question.
• 8:53
Speaker 4: Was me, the President United States America. Yet again giving
• 8:57
Speaker 4: simple answers to the media horse makes the liberals lose
• 9:01
Speaker 4: their mind, and doing it in a way that shows
• 9:04
Speaker 4: he is in charge and actually has a plan now.
• 9:07
Speaker 4: Story number two Nicholas Maduro's first court appearance. It has
• 9:11
Speaker 4: officially happened. The ousted Venezuelan president was a rain Monday
• 9:16
Speaker 4: and a federal courtroom in Manhattan on US narco terrorism
• 9:20
Speaker 4: and drug trafficking charges. He pled not guilty to all
• 9:24
Speaker 4: of the charges, denying any wrongdoing. Madua repeatedly insisted through
• 9:30
Speaker 4: an interpreter that he is innocent and described himself as
• 9:33
Speaker 4: a quote prisoner of war and said he remains a
• 9:37
Speaker 4: legitimate president of Venezuela. He also characterizes captured by US
• 9:42
Speaker 4: forces as an abduction. Maduro's wife also appeared. She pled
• 9:48
Speaker 4: not guilty and has visible injuries that a lawyer says
• 9:52
Speaker 4: may include rib fractures from the arrest operation. Both are
• 9:57
Speaker 4: being held at the Metropolitan Detention cent in Brooklyn and
• 10:01
Speaker 4: waived bail for now. The judge schedule the next hearing
• 10:05
Speaker 4: from March seventeenth, twenty twenty six. There are protests as
• 10:09
Speaker 4: well as radicals on the left are outside the courthouse
• 10:13
Speaker 4: saying that this was well a terrible day for America.
• 10:17
Speaker 4: Official US government line very different coming from the White House.
• 10:21
Speaker 4: The government is defending the military operation and Madua's prosecution
• 10:26
Speaker 4: as legitimate action against narco trafficking and criminal syndicates, even
• 10:32
Speaker 4: as international critics are of course siding with Maduro, saying
• 10:37
Speaker 4: it was illegal. A White House spokesman pushed back strongly
• 10:41
Speaker 4: today on domestic criticism from the left, many liberal commentators
• 10:46
Speaker 4: saying of the Venezuela raid, many countries consider madurea illegitimate
• 10:51
Speaker 4: and we should go back and report on the words
• 10:54
Speaker 4: of so many countries now that are just criticizing Trump
• 10:57
Speaker 4: because he's in charge. The FBI Director Cash Bettel went
• 11:01
Speaker 4: on TV to talk about the real threat that Maduro
• 11:04
Speaker 4: posed the United States of America. And here's part of
• 11:07
Speaker 4: what he had to say about the fetanyl that had
• 11:09
Speaker 4: been seized by the Trump administration.
• 11:11
Speaker 8: This director correct me if I'm wrong, But didn't you
• 11:13
Speaker 8: meet with Chinese officials about stopping the precursors to fentanyl?
• 11:17
Speaker 8: And did what has happened since that meeting? The President
• 11:20
Speaker 8: push with tariffs to stop it. What could you tell
• 11:24
Speaker 8: us happened with the flow into Mexico where they refine
• 11:28
Speaker 8: it and send it to us.
• 11:30
  Speaker 5: That's just it.
• 11:31
Speaker 9: There was nobody, no other administration was willing to engage
• 11:34
Speaker 9: with our counterparts on things like fentanyl, which were killing
• 11:37
Speaker 9: almost one hundred thousand Americans per year. And President Trump
• 11:41
Speaker 9: laid the groundwork for us to go over there and
• 11:43
Speaker 9: engage directly and say, hey, you got to shut off
• 11:46
Speaker 9: the flow of the chemical precursors, the ingredients that they
• 11:49
Speaker 9: utilized to make fentanyl. And we went over there and
• 11:53
Speaker 9: we got that agreement while we were there. Thanks to
• 11:55
Speaker 9: President Trump's leadership, and we were able to literally shut
• 11:58
Speaker 9: off the flow of all thirteen precursors and eight chemical
• 12:01
Speaker 9: adjuster agents. And what that does is it suffocates the
• 12:05
Speaker 9: drug trafficking organization's ability in Mexico and South American and
• 12:08
Speaker 9: Central America and elsewhere to create and manufacture the fentanyl.
• 12:13
Speaker 9: And just look at what we did this past year
• 12:15
Speaker 9: under President Trump's leadership. We seized enough fentanyl to kill
• 12:19
Speaker 9: one hundred and seventy five million American citizens. That is
• 12:23
Speaker 9: an increase in fentanyl caesars by over thirty percent. That
• 12:27
Speaker 9: is what a coalition, a team led effort by a
• 12:30
Speaker 9: decisive White House and President Trump looks like to counter narcotics.
• 12:33
Speaker 9: Not just these great successful operations like what we saw
• 12:37
Speaker 9: this past week in Venezuela, but a continuing onslaught of
• 12:41
Speaker 9: law enforcement activity to safeguard the American public. And we're
• 12:44
Speaker 9: not going to stop.
• 12:45
Speaker 4: The FPI director wasn't finished with that. He also praised
• 12:48
Speaker 4: Donald Trump's decisive leadership for having a drastic reduction in
• 12:54
Speaker 4: narcotics available on our streets, which is saving American lives.
• 12:58
Speaker 1: I want you to put on your former produce secutor
• 13:00
Speaker 1: hat because you know these charges, and I'm not asking
• 13:02
Speaker 1: you to prosecute it for our audience, but explain to
• 13:05
Speaker 1: us the charges and how long are we talking about
• 13:09
Speaker 1: before Maduro sees the other side of justice.
• 13:13
Speaker 9: I just want to be very careful here. Department of
• 13:15
Speaker 9: Justice and our DEA partners are going to be running
• 13:18
Speaker 9: point on these prosecution charges for narco terrorism. But generally speaking,
• 13:23
Speaker 9: it's what I alluded to earlier. It is a large
• 13:26
Speaker 9: and continuous volume of illicit narcotics, to include cocaine and
• 13:33
Speaker 9: fentanyl and meth and everything else that we see harm
• 13:35
Speaker 9: our children and that poured into our communities. And thanks
• 13:38
Speaker 9: to President Trump's decisive leadership, we've seen a drastic reduction
• 13:42
Speaker 9: and not just death but quantity of narcotic development our streets.
• 13:45
Speaker 9: But Venezuela acted not only as a large and massive
• 13:49
Speaker 9: transhipment point by air and by sea, but also allowed
• 13:52
Speaker 9: drug traffickers to operate with reckless abandon inside their borders,
• 13:57
Speaker 9: and their direct target of deployment was the United States
• 14:00
Speaker 9: of America in large part, and that's what these charges,
• 14:03
Speaker 9: in my opinion, I believe, will address, and thankfully that
• 14:06
Speaker 9: these individuals are now behind bars to face the justice system,
• 14:10
Speaker 9: and for me, quite frankly, it doesn't matter how long
• 14:13
Speaker 9: or how short the process is, as long as we
• 14:16
Speaker 9: get it right. And we're off to a great start
• 14:18
Speaker 9: thanks to the decisive leadership this week and a President
• 14:20
Speaker 9: Trump and his national security team.
• 14:21
Speaker 7: Yeah, as long as he's in custody. I don't think
• 14:24
Speaker 7: people just want to see Venezuela get back to normal.
• 14:26
Speaker 4: As you heard there from the FBI director, it's about
• 14:29
Speaker 4: national security, it's about saving American lives. It's also about
• 14:33
Speaker 4: making sure that there is a better nation in Venezuela
• 14:36
Speaker 4: for the people that have been oppressed by Maduro. And
• 14:38
Speaker 4: that is clearly part of Donald Trump's doctorate.
