- 1:40Speaker 3: I feel like you've been on tour the past four years. Yeah,
- 1:43Speaker 3: I've been. I've been grinding.
- 1:45Speaker 7: I've definitely been touring this whole year. Yeah, yeah, this
- 1:47Speaker 7: whole year. I started off with Michaels, then I did
- 1:50Speaker 7: the Tink tour, then I did my international Sincelty for
- 1:55Speaker 7: You tour, and now this one.
- 1:56Speaker 4: That's where the money comes in at the right for an.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Artist, A lot of it, majority of it. What do
- 2:02Speaker 3: you what do you make more of your money from
- 2:04Speaker 3: U shows?
- 2:05Speaker 7: I mean, but I still catch a check that's like
- 2:07Speaker 7: crazy when it comes to the music to the every
- 2:09Speaker 7: now and then.
- 2:10Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 2:10Speaker 7: But for the most part, if I'm steady on the road,
- 2:12Speaker 7: you know that it's just add up different, you know
- 2:15Speaker 7: what I'm saying. Anything on the like being on the
- 2:18Speaker 7: road that you like just don't like just people not.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Knowing what to do. That's all I know. You know
- 2:25Speaker 3: what people around you know, people around me just don't
- 2:28Speaker 3: know what to do.
- 2:29Speaker 7: You know what I'm saying, Like, because we've been at
- 2:30Speaker 7: it so long, it's something happened. I'd be like, that
- 2:34Speaker 7: should never happen, you know what I'm saying. That's how
- 2:36Speaker 7: long we've been doing it. That's all that anoyed me,
- 2:38Speaker 7: and probably waking up early.
- 2:39Speaker 3: You don't like that ship? Nah? Yeah, you just ain't
- 2:42Speaker 3: even like that.
- 2:42Speaker 5: In school though, we could we start there because you've
- 2:45Speaker 5: been doing music for a very very long time. I
- 2:47Speaker 5: want to say, since what middle school?
- 2:49Speaker 3: Nah?
- 2:49Speaker 7: Since elementary elementary school? I've been seen since I was nine.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Are you from Atlanta? Yeah? What part of Atlanta? I'm
- 2:54Speaker 3: East Atlanta? Raid? Yeah? What high school did you go to?
- 2:57Speaker 3: I went to Taos? Was high school? I went Camp
- 3:00Speaker 3: be Laying elementary but through the middle A lot of
- 3:02Speaker 3: people don't know you could rap for real too. Yeah,
- 3:05Speaker 3: I just I'm just a talented dude. I saw you freestyling.
- 3:08Speaker 3: I'd be having fun.
- 3:09Speaker 7: You know, when we had that spating phone, you could
- 3:11Speaker 7: say what you want, you know what I'm saying, Like
- 3:14Speaker 7: you could just say what you want. Feel I can't
- 3:15Speaker 7: get judge if I get on this mic and try
- 3:17Speaker 7: to freestyle it, like I might say something that might
- 3:20Speaker 7: hurt somebody.
- 3:21Speaker 5: So element you might get counseled, you feel me. So
- 3:25Speaker 5: when did you start like taking music seriously, like in singing?
- 3:28Speaker 3: Oh?
- 3:28Speaker 7: When I was nine? As soon as I was nine
- 3:30Speaker 7: years old, because I actually wanted to be a rapper.
- 3:33Speaker 7: Before that, I had a couple of raps and stuff,
- 3:35Speaker 7: but I was never in know studio, you know what
- 3:37Speaker 7: I'm saying.
- 3:37Speaker 3: This was just the thought, the dream that I had,
- 3:40Speaker 3: you know what I mean.
- 3:40Speaker 7: So after I found out who Michael Jackson was and
- 3:44Speaker 7: you know, trying to imitate him, I figured I could sing.
- 3:47Speaker 7: I got in a talent show when I was nine,
- 3:49Speaker 7: and I never looked back. I got in the studio
- 3:51Speaker 7: when I was like eleven for the first time, and
- 3:57Speaker 7: recorded a demo when I was like twelve thirty, and
- 4:00Speaker 7: it's just that was the start of it, you know
- 4:02Speaker 7: what I'm saying. Drop my first mixtape at sixteen, and
- 4:05Speaker 7: just kept climbing.
- 4:05Speaker 4: Definitely, I saw your grind.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I worked at VO three like years ago, like when
- 4:10Speaker 1: you was like a baby. I remember seeing you there
- 4:13Speaker 1: I guess with your dad. I think it was your
- 4:16Speaker 1: dad or your uncle.
- 4:17Speaker 7: But Orlando, Okay, yeah, but you've been on me for
- 4:20Speaker 7: the majority of the time, where the whole time since
- 4:22Speaker 7: we came in, you know, as far as like in
- 4:24Speaker 7: the entertainment industry, as far as with labels and different
- 4:28Speaker 7: things of that.
- 4:28Speaker 3: You know what I mean.
- 4:29Speaker 1: You know what is the grind taught you this far?
- 4:32Speaker 1: You know, especially for up and coming artists who think
- 4:34Speaker 1: it's so easy, you know, just to sign and do
- 4:37Speaker 1: things like that. I don't think they really understand the
- 4:40Speaker 1: grind part of it.
- 4:41Speaker 3: I mean, it taught me a lot.
- 4:43Speaker 7: And it's like you gotta think, like none of them
- 4:44Speaker 7: do you seen me with I was related to, So
- 4:46Speaker 7: you got to understand like a thirteen year old kid
- 4:49Speaker 7: just out there with grown men, you know what I'm saying.
- 4:52Speaker 7: Of course they have my best interest, but at the
- 4:54Speaker 7: same time, your mama got to be able to trust you,
- 4:57Speaker 7: to let you do that, you know what I'm saying,
- 4:59Speaker 7: and be running around like that, so big shot out
- 5:01Speaker 7: of my mom, you know what I'm saying, Like you know,
- 5:04Speaker 7: always being there, always being in my corner, you know
- 5:06Speaker 7: what I'm saying. Just just grinding it out with me.
- 5:08Speaker 7: You know what I'm saying, take a lot of hard work.
- 5:10Speaker 7: I know, today it's like it's all about going viral,
- 5:13Speaker 7: But when I was grinding, It's like it was really about.
- 5:17Speaker 7: They used to always get on artists about like going
- 5:18Speaker 7: out to past their own stuff out, like you're gonna
- 5:21Speaker 7: do the groundwork, you know, put yourself out there. So
- 5:23Speaker 7: I come from those days, you know what I'm saying,
- 5:25Speaker 7: In the early YouTube days, when you know, like when
- 5:28Speaker 7: Justin Bieber was blowing up and making a bunch of
- 5:31Speaker 7: YouTube videos and all the kids was thinking like, hey,
- 5:33Speaker 7: maybe I can make a singing song too and go
- 5:35Speaker 7: viral like Justin Bieber. You know what I'm saying, just
- 5:37Speaker 7: came from all them times, just like dreaming, real, real big,
- 5:40Speaker 7: you know what I'm saying, Like not on a small scale,
- 5:43Speaker 7: you know what I'm saying, just like on a real level,
- 5:44Speaker 7: Like driving down to Huntsville, like in the van, just
- 5:47Speaker 7: trying to get on the radio.
- 5:48Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. Driving to the Carolinas.
- 5:51Speaker 7: You know what I'm saying, Driving the little towns in Georgia,
- 5:54Speaker 7: Like a lot of artists don't know about that groundwork,
- 5:56Speaker 7: you know, what I'm saying, by having a really grind,
- 6:00Speaker 7: you know what I'm saying, have to happen to be
- 6:01Speaker 7: in people face now, you know what I'm saying. Now,
- 6:03Speaker 7: you don't really have to be in people face. You
- 6:05Speaker 7: can really just like like surfs up. But me, it's
- 6:08Speaker 7: just like it's just a different grind. That's why I
- 6:09Speaker 7: got a whole nother different type of respect for myself.
- 6:12Speaker 7: Like when I'm in a room with certain people, it's
- 6:14Speaker 7: just like, you know, you cool, You're doing your thing.
- 6:17Speaker 7: But I mean it's just different, Like I feel like
- 6:18Speaker 7: how the old school people probably feel about.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Us, you know what I'm saying. Like, man, young niggas,
- 6:22Speaker 3: ain't what you mean?
- 6:23Speaker 6: Like you feel like nowadays like the singer is like
- 6:27Speaker 6: more like an overnight success.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Yeah, you feel like it's easier, Yeah, because.
- 6:32Speaker 1: It's easy for somebody to get like a million views
- 6:34Speaker 1: off TikTok and they think they made it.
- 6:36Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean, it's just a different You gotta understand
- 6:38Speaker 7: how the people take it in that too, Like the
- 6:39Speaker 7: people see somebody with a million views, it's just like
- 6:43Speaker 7: the facade, you know what I'm saying, makee people minds
- 6:45Speaker 7: just think that they bigger than what it really is.
- 6:47Speaker 7: But then you get out here in the real world
- 6:48Speaker 7: and don't nobody know them, so it'd be confusing, you
- 6:51Speaker 7: know what I'm saying, and be like, I don't know.
- 6:52Speaker 7: That's why I'm so happy that I have a sustainable,
- 6:55Speaker 7: like a real fan base, you know what I'm saying,
- 6:57Speaker 7: Like people I could really count on, Like you know
- 6:59Speaker 7: what I'm saying, the Internet shut down today, I'm still
- 7:01Speaker 7: gonna get money because I'm gonna still be able to
- 7:03Speaker 7: do the radio and people gonna be able to hear
- 7:05Speaker 7: me that's actually outside going to work doing stuff like that.
- 7:08Speaker 7: Like I made myself a real it's a real thing.
- 7:11Speaker 7: It ain't just about the Internet no more, you know.
- 7:13Speaker 3: What I mean.
- 7:14Speaker 7: Like people that really go to work here, they really
- 7:17Speaker 7: vibing with me. People that don't even got the Internet
- 7:19Speaker 7: vibing with me. You know what I'm saying, Did you
- 7:22Speaker 7: ever sign to cash money?
- 7:23Speaker 5: I'm still catching so you Okay, at that particular time,
- 7:26Speaker 5: how old were you?
- 7:27Speaker 3: I was twenty, so you were twenty.
- 7:29Speaker 5: I thought you were young because I was gonna say
- 7:31Speaker 5: that Birdman have to have a conversation with.
- 7:33Speaker 7: I mean, it was still I mean, you gotta think
- 7:35Speaker 7: like I wasn't twenty one, you know what I'm saying.
- 7:38Speaker 7: But at the end of the day, with this music industry,
- 7:40Speaker 7: I always made my own decisions because I've always had
- 7:43Speaker 7: a I've always just been smart, Like I've always been
- 7:46Speaker 7: the type to know what's going on.
- 7:47Speaker 3: I could read the room real good, you know what
- 7:49Speaker 3: I'm saying.
- 7:49Speaker 7: So I would always put myself in situations that I
- 7:52Speaker 7: would think I want to be in, and then I
- 7:53Speaker 7: would bring my mama around to the situation after it's
- 7:56Speaker 7: already kind of going, you know, after I feel like,
- 7:59Speaker 7: all right, my mama, because I never wanted to be
- 8:01Speaker 7: the kid, whereas like you know what I'm saying, Like
- 8:04Speaker 7: I just didn't want to be that kid, like you
- 8:06Speaker 7: know where my mama got to be all the way
- 8:07Speaker 7: out here helping me do the most, you know what
- 8:10Speaker 7: I'm saying, Like she helped me for you know, get
- 8:11Speaker 7: this thing started off rolling and she still helped me today.
- 8:14Speaker 7: But I didn't need her to be the one introducing
- 8:16Speaker 7: me to everybody. You know, I was gonna introduce her
- 8:19Speaker 7: to everybody, you know what I'm saying, Like this was
- 8:20Speaker 7: going on, this is what we're doing, this is how
- 8:22Speaker 7: we rolling around you feel me, and my mama just
- 8:25Speaker 7: believed in me and trusted me to that point.
- 8:27Speaker 3: You know what I mean. Where did Birdman come from? Then?
- 8:28Speaker 3: Like did he hit you out? How you reach out
- 8:31Speaker 3: to you?
- 8:31Speaker 2: Well?
- 8:31Speaker 7: You remember, you gotta think that's twenty fourteen. So I
- 8:35Speaker 7: got nineteen out. At the time, I had just dropped
- 8:37Speaker 7: nineteen and you know, I'm running around with t ig
- 8:41Speaker 7: rich Homkcorn all that.
- 8:43Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 8:43Speaker 7: So at the time, I used to see Corn a
- 8:47Speaker 7: lot because we was with the same folks, you know
- 8:50Speaker 7: what I'm saying. So Corn had out with rich Gang.
- 8:53Speaker 7: You feel me? And this when rich homc Corn the
- 8:55Speaker 7: biggest thing in the city. I remember that, you know
- 8:57Speaker 7: what I'm saying. So when Corn got a rich Gang,
- 8:59Speaker 7: cause you got to think Thug was bubbling, but he
- 9:02Speaker 7: wasn't bigger than Corn at the time, but he was
- 9:05Speaker 7: still that guy, you know what I'm saying. So you knew,
- 9:07Speaker 7: like if they link up, it's gonna be stupid because
- 9:09Speaker 7: we'rechelling me the guy. But Thug the one finna come
- 9:12Speaker 7: up and he finnah give with him. I was like,
- 9:13Speaker 7: I gotta give with that.
- 9:14Speaker 3: You feel me?
- 9:15Speaker 7: Like I was like ain't no way I'm finna miss
- 9:16Speaker 7: out on this, you know what I'm saying. So, and
- 9:18Speaker 7: it was like Birdman, you know, like me being a kid.
- 9:21Speaker 7: That's who we idolized, like him and Wayne, like just
- 9:24Speaker 7: the whole cash money thing. Like So, when I got
- 9:27Speaker 7: win and he was in Atlanta, I called corn Daddy,
- 9:30Speaker 7: you feel me. I'm like, hey, I heard y'all. Berdman
- 9:33Speaker 7: bro like I'm trying to get a Rigie gang you
- 9:35Speaker 7: feel me? Because I had felt like I was at
- 9:37Speaker 7: the end of what I could do by myself as
- 9:39Speaker 7: an independent artist. I didn't have the knowledge that I
- 9:41Speaker 7: have now then, you know what I mean. So I
- 9:43Speaker 7: was like, man, I'm at the end of what I
- 9:44Speaker 7: could do independently. Man with Gil Berdman. So we were like, damn,
- 9:47Speaker 7: that's crazy. I'm with burner Man right now. I was like,
- 9:49Speaker 7: for real, like man playing my music. He was like,
- 9:51Speaker 7: I'm in the carride back he played on a song
- 9:53Speaker 7: I had called Soldier. Then he coming back like don't shout.
- 9:56Speaker 7: Then then you on Coorn just shoot the video. I'm like, yeah,
- 9:58Speaker 7: like send the video. I seen the video combat like
- 10:01Speaker 7: hold on Boom, Denil Burdman, let me. I will put
- 10:03Speaker 7: you down. I loved you doing. Yeah, I got sound
- 10:06Speaker 7: like three days later when.
- 10:07Speaker 4: It came to how did you build your team?
- 10:09Speaker 1: Like you were saying, Uh, these people who weren't related
- 10:12Speaker 1: to you, you know, had your best interests in you
- 10:15Speaker 1: were moving around.
- 10:16Speaker 4: How did you build that team?
- 10:17Speaker 3: Well?
- 10:18Speaker 7: Starting out, like I said, my mom was always with me,
- 10:20Speaker 7: you know what I'm saying, big on being with me,
- 10:23Speaker 7: had a name on my had a number on my posters.
- 10:25Speaker 7: I still remember the number four for three A zero zeros, right,
- 10:28Speaker 7: he said, I just remember that. But uh, you know,
- 10:31Speaker 7: just running around. I had a manager named dex Lee.
- 10:35Speaker 7: He was like my first manager, RP.
- 10:37Speaker 3: Dex Ley. This is what we used to do.
- 10:40Speaker 7: So my mom would hear about like different little talent
- 10:43Speaker 7: things and different stuff like that.
- 10:44Speaker 3: So we'll roll around and do those different things.
- 10:46Speaker 7: And then when we was really indicator, when she really
- 10:49Speaker 7: knew like okay, he want to do this for real,
- 10:51Speaker 7: we would go around to like the different manager's houses
- 10:54Speaker 7: and have meetings, you know what I'm saying. So it's
- 10:56Speaker 7: like before they would have office and stuff like that.
- 10:57Speaker 7: A lot of people meet in their living room. It
- 10:59Speaker 7: with the top do duds, you know what I'm saying,
- 11:00Speaker 7: we would just be mean and figuring stuff out, and
- 11:03Speaker 7: I think we stumbled across decks, you know what I'm saying.
- 11:07Speaker 7: I got with decks, and decks introduced me to Orlando. Orlando,
- 11:11Speaker 7: who you saw me with with blocking all that, who's
- 11:13Speaker 7: sitting right there, so introduced me to him, and you know,
- 11:18Speaker 7: from there, I just, you know, it just kept kept
- 11:20Speaker 7: going and introducing the line of people. So I just
- 11:23Speaker 7: always stood in the front. I always had, like I said,
- 11:25Speaker 7: a good judgment. I could see somebody when I was
- 11:28Speaker 7: young and just know like that, this is somebody I
- 11:30Speaker 7: would want to stick with, you know what I'm saying
- 11:32Speaker 7: throughout my whole thing, honestly, or somebody that I know
- 11:34Speaker 7: would be a stepping stone to get to the next one.
- 11:36Speaker 7: So Orlando came, and then of course that's when we
- 11:39Speaker 7: added Jonathan, you know what I'm saying. Once we added Jonathan,
- 11:42Speaker 7: we tried to add some more pieces to the puzzle.
- 11:44Speaker 7: For the most part, it's just it's just us. It
- 11:46Speaker 7: took somebody to get somebody, you know what I mean.
- 11:48Speaker 6: Also, you was with Chris as well, Yeah, yeah, you
- 11:53Speaker 6: was with Chris Brown.
- 11:54Speaker 7: So why that was all the same year it was
- 11:58Speaker 7: yeah fourteen. He said, why did that sound?
- 12:02Speaker 2: Chris?
- 12:02Speaker 3: Yeah, why are you so? Because I think I remember
- 12:04Speaker 3: him saying something about.
- 12:06Speaker 7: Yeah yeah, like real talk Bros, finish sign me man.
- 12:09Speaker 7: I remember he was only the one show and he
- 12:11Speaker 7: was talking about me or whatever. But how that happened
- 12:14Speaker 7: was I was with t IG at the time. I
- 12:17Speaker 7: wasn't with the label. I was with a menasurement with
- 12:19Speaker 7: fly Hat. He started a label after that, so everybody
- 12:21Speaker 7: was confused thinking I was with the label. I had
- 12:24Speaker 7: a song called girls Love Rihanna. I had Redid Drake
- 12:27Speaker 7: girls Love Fionce. So uh, Chris had got winded that.
- 12:31Speaker 7: But before that, they was playing one of my mixtapes
- 12:33Speaker 7: on their tour. You know how wanted the homies that
- 12:35Speaker 7: get in contact with one of my homies that was calling.
- 12:37Speaker 7: They was like, hey, they playing They playing Jock Quez's
- 12:41Speaker 7: mixtape on the Krick Brownd tour. Boy, Like every night
- 12:43Speaker 7: I'm hearing it, like whenever somebody turning up, It's like
- 12:45Speaker 7: they playing Jack Queese. You know what I'm saying, I'm like,
- 12:48Speaker 7: damn for real. So after that recy, you know how
- 12:51Speaker 7: I run around with Reese. Yeah, so I was telling
- 12:54Speaker 7: Reese like, man, I want to meet krig Brown. You
- 12:57Speaker 7: feel what I'm saying. So She's like, all right, bet,
- 12:59Speaker 7: we're gonna go to Luda. We went to loot to
- 13:01Speaker 7: day and Chris was playing in the game and he
- 13:03Speaker 7: was always playing the basketball games like Rob. Remember there
- 13:06Speaker 7: is the first time I ever starts truck. If I
- 13:08Speaker 7: had never been star struggling my life, brod seen Bro Like,
- 13:11Speaker 7: what is Chris Brown?
- 13:12Speaker 2: Bro?
- 13:12Speaker 3: I couldn't believe he was in the A you do
- 13:14Speaker 3: know what I'm saying, Like, you know what I'm saying,
- 13:15Speaker 3: I'm like.
- 13:16Speaker 7: Bro bredon everybody out now. Yeah, I'm just like this
- 13:18Speaker 7: was back then though, you know what I'm saying. I'm like, man,
- 13:21Speaker 7: this is Chris Brown before this this this before the
- 13:23Speaker 7: ground was big all that, you know what I'm saying.
- 13:26Speaker 3: So I'm seening hood, you know hood, my brotherhood.
- 13:29Speaker 7: They was that the game. They was walking in the
- 13:31Speaker 7: locker room. I was trying to run up on the Hood.
- 13:32Speaker 7: Was like, hold on, wait, I got you. You know
- 13:34Speaker 7: what I'm saying to make sure you know what I mean.
- 13:37Speaker 7: So that went by. I met t IG Studio one day.
- 13:40Speaker 7: I get a call They're like this Chris Chris Brown
- 13:42Speaker 7: on the phone. I want to talk to you. I'm like,
- 13:44Speaker 7: may y'all line you feel me. I get on the phone.
- 13:47Speaker 7: They're like, holong, Christma. Christy got on the phone. He's like,
- 13:49Speaker 7: what's up man? He like, man, just hurt that record
- 13:51Speaker 7: girls love Rianno whatever like that. He was like, man,
- 13:53Speaker 7: I want to bring to l A write some records
- 13:56Speaker 7: because they keep it to him like I was gonna
- 13:57Speaker 7: be a writer, you know what I'm saying, Just so
- 13:59Speaker 7: I can get around him, you know what I'm saying.
- 14:01Speaker 7: So they was like, uh, color La, Man, We're gonna
- 14:04Speaker 7: write some records or whatever like that. So I flew
- 14:05Speaker 7: to Cali eighteen years old, you feel me? Eighteen nineteen.
- 14:09Speaker 7: I flew out there, and I remember we got in
- 14:12Speaker 7: the studio like the next day, my first day there.
- 14:15Speaker 7: I remember I knew I was really with Bro because
- 14:17Speaker 7: he was editing the video of him and Nicki Minach.
- 14:19Speaker 7: I forgot the name of it, but he was doing
- 14:20Speaker 7: that at the time. And I remember went to the
- 14:23Speaker 7: studio and he was in there working. I remember will
- 14:26Speaker 7: I m was there. There's a bunch of different people
- 14:28Speaker 7: that worked out of this studio and Chris was recording.
- 14:32Speaker 7: Not remember Hood was telling me like, hey, go up
- 14:33Speaker 7: there and push the button, like, go tell them something
- 14:36Speaker 7: to say.
- 14:36Speaker 3: You feel me.
- 14:37Speaker 7: I was like, man, I was like. I was like, bro,
- 14:42Speaker 7: I'm not pushing that bun food. That's He was like, Bro,
- 14:44Speaker 7: I'm telling you like, that's why we brought you out here. Bro,
- 14:46Speaker 7: I'm telling you, like, go push the button and go
- 14:48Speaker 7: tell him something to say. I was like, all right,
- 14:51Speaker 7: that's everything for me to do it you feel you
- 14:53Speaker 7: know what you feel me?
- 14:53Speaker 3: I got out.
- 14:54Speaker 7: I pushed the button like without saying I was like
- 14:57Speaker 7: I say this, like say again. So he was like,
- 14:59Speaker 7: all that's all up.
- 15:00Speaker 3: You feel me? Then he said it if you don't, like,
- 15:02Speaker 3: oh shit, like for real.
- 15:07Speaker 7: Then I got Then I hit it again and I
- 15:10Speaker 7: gave him another run. He was like that's hard. But
- 15:12Speaker 7: after that he was like, bro, you know what, Bro,
- 15:13Speaker 7: I'm gonna just put you on the song. Then that's
- 15:15Speaker 7: when he was like, uh, she got her hands on me,
- 15:18Speaker 7: like maybe I need jack Queeze. That was our first
- 15:20Speaker 7: song called Won't Turn it Down. When he said my name,
- 15:22Speaker 7: I was like, oh shit, you feel me? I was like, bro,
- 15:25Speaker 7: this shit real, like you feel me? Like like I
- 15:28Speaker 7: just That was one of the moments where I was
- 15:29Speaker 7: just like like, Bro, I was feeling all type of ways.
- 15:33Speaker 7: I was just like dang, like like you know how
- 15:35Speaker 7: something good happened. I was thinking like some bad must
- 15:37Speaker 7: find happen, like maybe God just brought me here just
- 15:40Speaker 7: to like I'm like this like some some gotta be
- 15:43Speaker 7: finna happen, like you know what I'm saying. But it
- 15:45Speaker 7: was just a great experience. And I don't think bruh
- 15:47Speaker 7: sn me because Chris saw my potential. He really got
- 15:50Speaker 7: real love for me. Like we turned into brothers like
- 15:52Speaker 7: we used to be in the house. Like I didn't
- 15:54Speaker 7: come out there and get in a hotel, like I
- 15:55Speaker 7: came out there the first day, straight in the crib,
- 15:58Speaker 7: straight to a room like you feel me, like straight
- 16:00Speaker 7: in the whips, like straight one on one with him
- 16:02Speaker 7: in the limbo. You know it went straight there. You
- 16:04Speaker 7: feel what I'm saying, Like it was no process, you
- 16:07Speaker 7: know what I'm saying. Like, so for that I turned
- 16:09Speaker 7: into brother brother instantly, like bro. I remember walking in
- 16:11Speaker 7: the crib. He was like like the dogs might have
- 16:13Speaker 7: used it. You know how to be when you knew
- 16:15Speaker 7: you're like manck who you clean it up? I used
- 16:17Speaker 7: to hate that, but I'd be like, all right, Bro,
- 16:18Speaker 7: I got you. You feel me like you know, you know,
- 16:21Speaker 7: like being a new one in account, like they might
- 16:23Speaker 7: ask you certain stuff like you might and it ain't
- 16:25Speaker 7: like ain't like they trying you or that. But you know,
- 16:27Speaker 7: I'll be thinking, people want to just see how real
- 16:29Speaker 7: you is. You know what I'm saying, Like, is he
- 16:30Speaker 7: one of lesser like you know what I'm saying, he
- 16:32Speaker 7: like one of these other singers.
- 16:34Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 16:34Speaker 7: Of course I'm cut like that, so you know what
- 16:36Speaker 7: I'm saying, I can get my hands down there a
- 16:38Speaker 7: little bit, you know what I'm saying, because I'm thankful
- 16:39Speaker 7: for the opportunity. When people start saying I was like that,
- 16:42Speaker 7: it just started bringing me other blessings of Chris and
- 16:45Speaker 7: being Houston. Fly me out there, Bro was the first
- 16:47Speaker 7: one put me on the jet, you know what I'm saying.
- 16:49Speaker 7: But like I said, I don't think he signed me
- 16:51Speaker 7: because at the time he was facing his own things,
- 16:53Speaker 7: you know what I'm saying. He was going through his
- 16:55Speaker 7: own stuff, trying to get Chris Brown back to where
- 16:56Speaker 7: Chris Brown needed to be, and I don't think he
- 16:58Speaker 7: wanted to be selfish me. He had already had Seventh Streeter,
- 17:02Speaker 7: he had Kevin McCall. He had a bunch of different
- 17:04Speaker 7: people at the time that he couldn't really give us
- 17:07Speaker 7: all to You know that he wanted to, but he couldn't.
- 17:09Speaker 7: And I just know he didn't want to put me
- 17:11Speaker 7: under that umbrella, you know what I'm saying. But as
- 17:13Speaker 7: soon as he came back, because I was with Chris,
- 17:15Speaker 7: like you know, from the times where we had to
- 17:16Speaker 7: go to rehab all that stuff. Oh, you know what
- 17:18Speaker 7: I'm saying. I was with him through all that, you
- 17:20Speaker 7: know what I'm saying. So when he when he finished
- 17:21Speaker 7: with all that stuff, you know, I was right with
- 17:23Speaker 7: him again. Boom. You know what I'm saying. So salute
- 17:25Speaker 7: the brother. But you know he ain't signing it. But
- 17:27Speaker 7: I remember when I signed the cash money. I seen
- 17:29Speaker 7: him in Vegas and I was like, man, you know
- 17:31Speaker 7: you gotta give me some of that money, right, I
- 17:36Speaker 7: was like, man, cool, he was like, now, I was
- 17:37Speaker 7: just playing Lebron product.
- 17:39Speaker 8: We'll be right back with more of The Baller Alert Show.
- 17:45Speaker 8: You're listening to a special edition of The Baller Alert.
- 17:48Speaker 7: Show, and what's up. It's Jack Cuees and you are
- 17:50Speaker 7: now tuned into the Baller Alert show.
- 17:52Speaker 5: You're making money now, Yeah, I know that comes with
- 17:56Speaker 5: some type of issues here and there.
- 17:58Speaker 7: People may be calling you to for a long Yeah,
- 18:01Speaker 7: but I'm passing them parts. You passed them part Yeah,
- 18:03Speaker 7: I'm passing on points I hit you with a strong though.
- 18:05Speaker 5: Now, but about like when you first signed the Cash
- 18:08Speaker 5: Money back then, Yeah, like you're starting to make some
- 18:11Speaker 5: serious cash. Are people calling you for the wrong reasons
- 18:16Speaker 5: now versus Nah?
- 18:17Speaker 3: See, I'm like that. I won't even answer my phone.
- 18:20Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 18:21Speaker 7: It's like like.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Yeah, laughing, So this is definitely true. Yeah for that.
- 18:29Speaker 3: What was your collary? What was your first big personse
- 18:32Speaker 3: that you said? Yeah, yeah, I did this ship.
- 18:34Speaker 7: First big person when I bought the Actually it was
- 18:37Speaker 7: weird because when I bought my Jeep, I was happy,
- 18:41Speaker 7: Like I bought my Jeep. I remember this NFL dude
- 18:43Speaker 7: had got rid of it. I had got it for
- 18:44Speaker 7: like twenty five thousand already g wagon. Nah, it was
- 18:47Speaker 7: a regular jeep.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Beat in it.
- 18:49Speaker 7: Yeah, my Jeet was stupid granderry twenty five k, but
- 18:54Speaker 7: it had it had to beat in it if they
- 18:57Speaker 7: had the brains already on it. It was yeah, already
- 19:00Speaker 7: suit it up, you know what I'm saying. So I
- 19:02Speaker 7: was like, man, I feel like I'm doing something. Then
- 19:04Speaker 7: I went and got the jeep. Then I went and
- 19:06Speaker 7: got me a condo right at Atlanting Station. Then they
- 19:08Speaker 7: had told me guc used to stay down there. So
- 19:09Speaker 7: I was like, oh, I really feel good, you know
- 19:11Speaker 7: what I'm saying. I'm like, oh, I done made in
- 19:13Speaker 7: this sign. And I got the jeep out and got
- 19:15Speaker 7: the Landing Station condo.
- 19:17Speaker 3: Then I bought a Lambow behind that.
- 19:18Speaker 7: After I did that, I was like, okay, but really,
- 19:20Speaker 7: when I bought my house, I was like, Okay, this
- 19:23Speaker 7: is for real, you know what I'm saying, Like, it's like, okay.
- 19:26Speaker 3: We really like we see some famous neighbors too. Yeah.
- 19:30Speaker 7: Yeah, I got a lot of a lot of people
- 19:31Speaker 7: stay in my neighborhood, Like we really be kicking it
- 19:33Speaker 7: over there.
- 19:34Speaker 3: We call it the hood even though it ain't the hood.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Like we were like, hey, I'm on the way back
- 19:37Speaker 3: to the hood. You know.
- 19:38Speaker 7: It just make us feel like we still where we're from,
- 19:41Speaker 7: but we ain't, you know. I feel bit neighbors with
- 19:43Speaker 7: Cat Williams. Cat that was that was the time he
- 19:46Speaker 7: don't move man, but that was that was one of
- 19:48Speaker 7: the Those were some of the craziest times in my life.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Man Cat used to knock on my door.
- 19:52Speaker 7: I remember one time Cat came to the crib because
- 19:54Speaker 7: I really love him, like cat like my big un
- 19:56Speaker 7: like he called me out of time, like I fly
- 19:57Speaker 7: all his shows and all this stuff. Once Cat came
- 20:00Speaker 7: to now he had the peanut butter and jelly, like
- 20:02Speaker 7: the half and half one like the jar. And I
- 20:05Speaker 7: remember he came out and they were like, you know,
- 20:06Speaker 7: my daddy came up with it, like that's the reason
- 20:09Speaker 7: for there, Like I ain't never told nobody but the
- 20:11Speaker 7: half and half peanut butter thing, nigga, Like you're like,
- 20:13Speaker 7: this is what we came up with. And he had
- 20:14Speaker 7: another story.
- 20:15Speaker 3: He said his daddy came over and said his daddy
- 20:17Speaker 3: originated the half and half in the one job.
- 20:19Speaker 7: Like he remember, he's like they the one came up
- 20:22Speaker 7: with there, like they the reason for it was.
- 20:25Speaker 3: He used to be dead.
- 20:26Speaker 7: Serious like this the cat be dance here like don't
- 20:29Speaker 7: don't say nothing. What Cat's a man can't keep my
- 20:31Speaker 7: uncle like his crew one time because he beat him
- 20:33Speaker 7: in pool he did what keep my uncle un beat
- 20:36Speaker 7: him in pool? He don't kill him out, but can't
- 20:38Speaker 7: buy me a lot of stuff too.
- 20:39Speaker 6: Bro.
- 20:40Speaker 7: Cat used to buy me a lot of stuff. Bro,
- 20:41Speaker 7: Like when I used to buy my cars. He'll buy
- 20:44Speaker 7: me all the covers to my cars, all my dogs.
- 20:46Speaker 7: He bought all my dogs, like bowls, leashes. He brought
- 20:49Speaker 7: me my first golf stuff. I tell Cat Man, Cat bro,
- 20:53Speaker 7: I'll be talking to cat right. He's might be like,
- 20:57Speaker 7: hold on, walk in the house, come back outside, twenty
- 21:00Speaker 7: five thousand, like.
- 21:01Speaker 3: Man put.
- 21:04Speaker 7: Stores and there he would just give you twenty five
- 21:07Speaker 7: thou twenty five thousand. Then I fly to Vegas. I'm like,
- 21:09Speaker 7: man own neighbors. I was like, man, cat I had.
- 21:12Speaker 7: He was like, what you did to that man? I
- 21:13Speaker 7: was like, Man, I was out there the store and
- 21:14Speaker 7: I'm like, man, you know they charging two thousand for
- 21:16Speaker 7: them crownheart gene.
- 21:18Speaker 3: He was like, damn, we ain't gonna be complaining about
- 21:20Speaker 3: the wardrobe budget. Right when I left. When I left,
- 21:24Speaker 3: I looked in my pocket.
- 21:25Speaker 7: I had a g jack and I'm like, man, a nigga,
- 21:27Speaker 7: I left ten thousand dollars in my pocket.
- 21:29Speaker 3: He'll like cat White Cat I'm like Cat. He like, Noah,
- 21:34Speaker 3: nigg and ja hung up the bro.
- 21:36Speaker 7: He takes me like we ain't complaining about the wardrobe

- 22:10Speaker 7: I'm saying, Like he don't want for real, Like that's
- 22:12Speaker 7: when I started saying, like, oh, Nick can't have about
- 22:14Speaker 7: ten cars outside of the yard, different exotic whips, you
- 22:17Speaker 7: know what I'm saying. Like like in broh house, Brad
- 22:20Speaker 7: like a pool in the house, like in his room,
- 22:23Speaker 7: get an indoor pool out in his role in his closet,
- 22:27Speaker 7: like a pool.
- 22:28Speaker 3: In his closet type of vibe for real.
- 22:30Speaker 7: And he had a dog so mean nigga like, but
- 22:34Speaker 7: he got a dog that don't move, like as soon as.
- 22:36Speaker 3: You walk past the bedroom door, yeah, to bite your
- 22:41Speaker 3: face off. Then he don't move.

- 22:47Speaker 5: his on.
- 22:48Speaker 3: Yeah. Can we talk about f Y B Yeah, yeah,
- 22:50Speaker 3: y the label. What does that mean?
- 22:52Speaker 7: Well, it means a feather your brother. You know, it
- 22:54Speaker 7: used to mean fresh on boys. It's still fresh on boys,
- 22:56Speaker 7: but forther your brother. For the most part, it's a brotherhood, honestly.
- 23:00Speaker 7: It's something we started in high school eleventh grade. Just
- 23:03Speaker 7: started from us running around being creatives together, you know.
- 23:06Speaker 7: But now we don't formulated it into more so of
- 23:08Speaker 7: a business, you know what I mean. So it's a
- 23:10Speaker 7: record label now. And you know the first one we
- 23:13Speaker 7: shooting out of gate is Easter. You know, Easter started
- 23:15Speaker 7: f R BE with me. You know, we started it
- 23:17Speaker 7: together eleventh grade. So yeah, we got this hair down.
- 23:21Speaker 3: Was in the same grade together.
- 23:22Speaker 7: Yeah, we was in the same grade together, same school,
- 23:23Speaker 7: same everything. We came out of school together, went back together.
- 23:26Speaker 7: We didn't go to school em grade, but they used
- 23:28Speaker 7: to let us come what we wanted to you, So
- 23:30Speaker 7: that was one of them days we we just wanted
- 23:32Speaker 7: to go to school, like we really used to pick
- 23:33Speaker 7: and choose what day we go to school.
- 23:35Speaker 3: So what's up? Man to the Yeah, what's up?
- 23:40Speaker 7: Because so yeah, we started that back then, and uh,
- 23:43Speaker 7: yeah we're here now man the label, Like I said,
- 23:45Speaker 7: we got this hair down record with uh and fabulous.
- 23:48Speaker 3: It's Easter single.
- 23:49Speaker 7: We just you know, went through New York because of
- 23:52Speaker 7: course fat from New York went to New York shot
- 23:54Speaker 7: a video in Brooklyn. So you know, we've been getting
- 23:56Speaker 7: a lot of love up top. You know, we're just
- 23:57Speaker 7: trying to bring it back down south. You know, just
- 23:59Speaker 7: blend everything. Now, Lisa, where's your name come from? Oh

- 24:31Speaker 7: another chance to keep putting out music.
- 24:33Speaker 3: You feel me.
- 24:34Speaker 7: I got my brother with me, So it's just a
- 24:35Speaker 7: blessing to have somebody like that, you know what I'm saying,
- 24:38Speaker 7: Who in it and just keep it fresh and keep
- 24:41Speaker 7: you going.

- 24:51Speaker 7: Man. I'm just glad to finally be putting it out.
- 24:53Speaker 7: We've been sitting on it for like about a year now.
- 24:56Speaker 7: We shot the video in March and so I thought
- 24:58Speaker 7: it was gonna have it out by this summer, but
- 25:00Speaker 7: you know, we all on guys time, and so we're
- 25:02Speaker 7: just now getting it out last week and finally dropped
- 25:05Speaker 7: August the fourth. You've missed on all the platforms, and
- 25:07Speaker 7: so yeah, we're going up. We just want to keep pushing,
- 25:10Speaker 7: get it out there. I feel like it's a hit record.
- 25:12Speaker 7: I think it got great potential and so we're gonna
- 25:14Speaker 7: see what's gonna happen.
- 25:16Speaker 3: I just feel to be doing this with your brother. Man. Man,
- 25:18Speaker 3: that's the best feeling. That feels good. What's the moment
- 25:21Speaker 3: you were on your own though?
- 25:23Speaker 7: Or I mean, I feel like I've seen you probably
- 25:27Speaker 7: so I've been out here, you know what I'm saying
- 25:29Speaker 7: myself saying.
- 25:30Speaker 6: But not like each other at some point whatever, y'all
- 25:35Speaker 6: ain't like each other, but we found so like you
- 25:38Speaker 6: got I'm being around like.
- 25:42Speaker 7: You got some point it like bro, watch out, bro,
- 25:45Speaker 7: you know what I mean. That's just natural though, you
- 25:47Speaker 7: know what I mean. But they ain't never like I ain't.
- 25:50Speaker 7: Ain't nobody on your boun Ain't nobody.
- 25:52Speaker 3: Gonna what I'm saying. People, I'm like, no, man't like
- 26:01Speaker 3: each other something.
- 26:02Speaker 2: You got to know.
- 26:03Speaker 5: It's conflict resolution at the end of the day too.
- 26:05Speaker 5: How you deal with it like oh hey, okay.
- 26:07Speaker 7: It's one of them things where it's like if anybody
- 26:09Speaker 7: would have said something, tried to come in on it,
- 26:11Speaker 7: like it was just like dang, y'all would have been
- 26:13Speaker 7: into that a stop because you're never supposed to get
- 26:16Speaker 7: in the family business.
- 26:16Speaker 3: Like it's like I tell all the.
- 26:18Speaker 7: Time, it's like you gotta just let them boy hash
- 26:20Speaker 7: it out, and honestly nobody did. Of course, Like you know,
- 26:22Speaker 7: it'd been in days where people ain't talking, but it
- 26:24Speaker 7: was never like we're not gonna happen to brou you
- 26:26Speaker 7: know what I'm saying, Like it's like you know what
- 26:28Speaker 7: I mean. It was just like you know, family, it's
- 26:30Speaker 7: like bro, you get like hey, bro, hey, so what
- 26:32Speaker 7: was that conversation? Like how did y'all?
- 26:34Speaker 3: I don't know, it ain't even conversation. It was just
- 26:36Speaker 3: like an.
- 26:37Speaker 7: Energy thing because it's like because it's like I'm gonna
- 26:39Speaker 7: see you, so it's like, you know what I'm saying,
- 26:42Speaker 7: So it's like we're gon, we're gonna talk today or yeah,
- 26:45Speaker 7: it's like it's more so one of them things. But
- 26:48Speaker 7: maybe on that day we just both like you know what,
- 26:49Speaker 7: like yeah, I'm pretty sure we just looked at each
- 26:51Speaker 7: other and probably started laughing or something.
- 26:53Speaker 3: You feel like probably talk.
- 26:55Speaker 7: We we have had conversations, but it's like we're older,
- 26:57Speaker 7: not like then we came in together. So it's like,
- 27:00Speaker 7: you know, it's like Bruh been through things that I
- 27:02Speaker 7: ain't been through. I've been through things he having been through,
- 27:04Speaker 7: so we able to have those conversations and like still
- 27:07Speaker 7: relate because we still we're still on the same thing,
- 27:10Speaker 7: you know what I mean. Even though we went to
- 27:12Speaker 7: different ways with our personal life, It's just like we
- 27:15Speaker 7: find a way to still like connected. You know what
- 27:17Speaker 7: I'm saying. We was kids, were just like all the
- 27:19Speaker 7: way alike, you know what I'm saying. But life gonna
- 27:21Speaker 7: take you in on different paths, you know what I'm saying.
- 27:23Speaker 7: We ended up meeting again and you know what I'm saying,
- 27:26Speaker 7: figuring it all the way.
- 27:27Speaker 3: Out, you know what I mean. He said it perfect.
- 27:28Speaker 3: I couldn't have said it better than that.

- 28:11Speaker 7: I think my eyes are still it's still there, you
- 28:15Speaker 7: know what I mean. I think person, Yeah, I think
- 28:18Speaker 7: that's still there. You said one person like that was bad.
- 28:21Speaker 4: That's good. I'm just trying to.
- 28:25Speaker 3: You know, because you look at me like, you know.
- 28:27Speaker 4: Like one person.
- 28:27Speaker 1: I was just trying to figure out if this is
- 28:29Speaker 1: like a flavor of love show.
- 28:31Speaker 3: This show is just in the air, you know what
- 28:33Speaker 3: I mean.
- 28:33Speaker 7: I've been watching it gonna be multiple flicking through the
- 28:35Speaker 7: channels and been saying.
- 28:37Speaker 1: It's not for the love of jackueeze it's love somebody mm.
- 28:42Speaker 3: Hmm maybe yeah, Yeah, that sounds good. That sounds good.

- 29:07Speaker 4: I mean I haven't.
- 29:08Speaker 3: I ain't.
- 29:09Speaker 4: I don't have a subscription. If you could pass me
- 29:11Speaker 4: your password.
- 29:11Speaker 7: Out, don't you know, I don't really watch reality TV.
- 29:15Speaker 4: But you said you got it. We'll give you your past.
- 29:18Speaker 6: Check it out.
- 29:19Speaker 7: I don't really watch reality TV, but if it was
- 29:21Speaker 7: something that made sense, you know, I wouldn't mind being
- 29:23Speaker 7: a part of something that makes sense like that one
- 29:25Speaker 7: throw off my brand, you know what I mean?
- 29:27Speaker 5: Now, you was tired getting out the SUV? Yes, so
- 29:31Speaker 5: you was recording last night? Yes, I was recording my
- 29:33Speaker 5: project coming out what we're doing.
- 29:35Speaker 7: I gotta I gotta excuse me. I got an album
- 29:37Speaker 7: that I'm working on. Hopefully I'll be able to give
- 29:41Speaker 7: you all that before the end of the year. New songs,
- 29:43Speaker 7: new singles. I'm thinking about dropping. Got a record called
- 29:45Speaker 7: Physical right Now that I'm in love with, so I'm
- 29:48Speaker 7: thinking about dropping that. But last night I was working
- 29:50Speaker 7: with my R and B group they named Bluff City.
- 29:52Speaker 7: They're super hard, they're from Memphis, super super dope. They
- 29:56Speaker 7: be on me since I started. But we was working
- 29:58Speaker 7: on some of their records last night. So I was
- 30:00Speaker 7: until four.
- 30:00Speaker 3: Head to wake up at six, beet the radio at nine.
- 30:03Speaker 3: You know, it's just a grind.
- 30:04Speaker 8: We'll be right by. Stay tuned with more of The
- 30:06Speaker 8: Baller Alert Show. You're listening to a special edition of
- 30:17Speaker 8: The Baller Alert Show.
- 30:18Speaker 3: And What's up.
- 30:19Speaker 7: It's Jack Cuise and you are now tuned into the
- 30:21Speaker 7: Baller Alert Show.
- 30:22Speaker 4: So where did the Queen mix come from?
- 30:24Speaker 3: Queen Mix? That was a good question. Queen Mix.
- 30:28Speaker 7: Well, when I was when I was like fourteen fifteen,
- 30:33Speaker 7: I had a project that I dropped called a I
- 30:34Speaker 7: Am Jack Cueise.
- 30:35Speaker 3: It was like an EP. It was just like something slight.
- 30:37Speaker 7: I don't call it my first mixtape just because I
- 30:41Speaker 7: just don't, but it's low key like my first project
- 30:43Speaker 7: where I was kind of like out here passing up.
- 30:45Speaker 7: But on that project, I was kind of like remixing records.
- 30:47Speaker 7: I had my original records and I was taking beats
- 30:49Speaker 7: and we was remixing people's song. The reason we started
- 30:52Speaker 7: doing that, of course, to gain more traction from popular songs.
- 30:57Speaker 7: But I used to really ride around and be like, man,
- 31:00Speaker 7: if that was me, Man, that'll be it'll be better
- 31:02Speaker 7: if it was me. I feel I used to feel
- 31:04Speaker 7: like as a kid, like I used to be like
- 31:05Speaker 7: man by not saying I was better than the artists,
- 31:07Speaker 7: but you know, just being a kid like you know
- 31:08Speaker 7: what I'm saying, just being like man, if I was
- 31:10Speaker 7: on the radio, I feel like they're like my stuff,
- 31:12Speaker 7: you know what I'm saying if I was just that. So, Uh,
- 31:15Speaker 7: Jody was working on a song, and that's how how
- 31:18Speaker 7: I really knew I was good at it. He was
- 31:19Speaker 7: Jody Breeze was working on a record in the studio
- 31:21Speaker 7: one day and uh, he was working on the Deucer's remix,
- 31:24Speaker 7: and I was like, man, I want to get on that.
- 31:25Speaker 3: You feel what I'm saying that he put me on it, and.
- 31:27Speaker 7: I start gaining so much popularity from it, you know
- 31:30Speaker 7: what I'm saying. I'm like, Dad, people really like when
- 31:32Speaker 7: I do this, and I start doing my own, I'm like,
- 31:34Speaker 7: I need to put a name on the remix. Now,
- 31:35Speaker 7: I don't want to make it remix. I'm just put
- 31:37Speaker 7: my name in front of QUEI mix. You know what
- 31:39Speaker 7: I'm saying. I think that's something in my team start
- 31:41Speaker 7: thinking of. And now I'll see a lot of other
- 31:43Speaker 7: artists put their name in front of the remixes and stuff.
- 31:45Speaker 7: So I honestly feel like after the Originators, I feel
- 31:48Speaker 7: like I was wanted one for this generation.
- 31:51Speaker 3: People still play the LMA Queen mix that.
- 31:53Speaker 7: You Yeah, of course it's it's a great record. I mean,
- 31:55Speaker 7: I don't think I don't think people did not good music.
- 31:58Speaker 7: You know what I'm saying. And I just seen her,
- 32:00Speaker 7: Like I said, I seen her at Rock Nation Brush.
- 32:02Speaker 7: That's the first time she said hated me in like.
- 32:03Speaker 3: Years that long.
- 32:06Speaker 7: Yeah, she just said I'm still blocked on Instagram and
- 32:08Speaker 7: Twitter though she still blocked you, y, I'm still blocked.
- 32:11Speaker 7: Well yeah, well she wasn't mad at first. I feel
- 32:13Speaker 7: like she was new to the game. I feel like
- 32:15Speaker 7: when you new to the industry, because you gotta think
- 32:17Speaker 7: La was a fan, Like she waited to meet me,
- 32:19Speaker 7: Like you know what I'm saying. When I was on
- 32:21Speaker 7: tour Chris Brown, like she saw my name on the door.
- 32:23Speaker 7: My security had to call me, like La mater out here,
- 32:25Speaker 7: she want to meet you. I'm like, oh, who is
- 32:26Speaker 7: the older? Oh shorty? All right, Ben, I'm coming because
- 32:28Speaker 7: I was a fan of her too, you feel me.
- 32:31Speaker 7: Luckily I got all this on camera because people are
- 32:33Speaker 7: trying to see it never happened, you know why?
- 32:34Speaker 6: They be trying to play you, like like you be lying.
- 32:37Speaker 6: I don't know, bro, the internet would be like, they
- 32:39Speaker 6: be trying to play you.
- 32:40Speaker 7: So I was just talking about that today. I'm like,
- 32:42Speaker 7: what happened? I was trying to figure out where I
- 32:43Speaker 7: went left with the internet. But it's when I said
- 32:45Speaker 7: I was king R and B.
- 32:46Speaker 3: Yeah not now you now you fucked up right there?
- 32:50Speaker 3: Do you still feel that way? Of course I don't
- 32:53Speaker 3: feel like that.
- 32:53Speaker 7: Forever you don't say you the best, and then one
- 32:55Speaker 7: day you'd be like, I'm not the best no more
- 32:57Speaker 7: until you retire.
- 32:59Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 32:59Speaker 5: I remember when you did it. I was like, that's
- 33:01Speaker 5: my friend. I'm rolling with them. I was with them.
- 33:06Speaker 3: Shut up.
- 33:07Speaker 7: You see what we now It's like we hear like
- 33:09Speaker 7: it's like like like he was telling early, he was like, man,
- 33:11Speaker 7: everywhere we go, you hear people like that's the king.
- 33:13Speaker 3: They go to king. Come on, king and king and
- 33:15Speaker 3: it ain't the king.
- 33:16Speaker 7: How people be like you know, now you meet people
- 33:18Speaker 7: and now they try to call all the niggas king,
- 33:20Speaker 7: like come on, it ain't that type of king.
- 33:22Speaker 5: Gett me cussed out there saying that one, because yeah,
- 33:26Speaker 5: you getting me cussed out though I was on the
- 33:28Speaker 5: radio saying yeah, I'm right.
- 33:30Speaker 3: Yeah, that's how we was all right with the radio.
- 33:36Speaker 3: That's why y'all my real dogs. That's crazy because I
- 33:38Speaker 3: tell about it all the time.
- 33:39Speaker 6: I'll be like, bro, you can't worry about the Internet
- 33:41Speaker 6: now because the Internet in real life is it's two
- 33:44Speaker 6: different things.
- 33:44Speaker 7: It's two different like and we was and we was
- 33:46Speaker 7: shout out about to we're talking brother other day, shut
- 33:48Speaker 7: about and they came out my birthday part.
- 33:51Speaker 4: Just to follow up on the Queen mixed.
- 33:53Speaker 1: What is your response to people's reactions who say, you know,
- 33:56Speaker 1: why are you always remixing songs? And you know he
- 34:02Speaker 1: can't get his own hit.
- 34:03Speaker 7: This is a monkey see monkey dew generation for real?
- 34:06Speaker 7: Like this ain't even like it was when I was
- 34:07Speaker 7: growing up. It's like, nah, for real, Like you know
- 34:10Speaker 7: what I'm saying. It's it's just different now. It's like
- 34:13Speaker 7: people don't have their own brains like you gotta think
- 34:15Speaker 7: people don't even it's not the same.
- 34:18Speaker 3: You feel me.
- 34:18Speaker 7: So it's like I feel like once the trend started,
- 34:21Speaker 7: it's like you could be you could damn there meet
- 34:23Speaker 7: somebody off hating jacqueeze. You feel I'm saying, like you
- 34:25Speaker 7: probably can meet the love of your life off hat.
- 34:27Speaker 7: It's crazy, right, you know what I'm saying. You know
- 34:30Speaker 7: what I mean, Like you could damn there be a
- 34:31Speaker 7: part of the hate trade and meet somebody you'll know,
- 34:33Speaker 7: for the.
- 34:34Speaker 3: Rest of your life.
- 34:34Speaker 7: So I feel like now it's just like a cool
- 34:36Speaker 7: thing for people to think that they're doing, like oh,
- 34:39Speaker 7: you know like Jock Uez either old Lessening Cook.
- 34:41Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. Show it's always sold out.
- 34:43Speaker 7: And I was gonna say, and let's secretly go to
- 34:44Speaker 7: this show and not tell nobody. You feel me, that's
- 34:46Speaker 7: what people do, all the hatters being front ro at
- 34:49Speaker 7: the show.
- 34:49Speaker 3: I don't know what it is, like bro gona.
- 34:52Speaker 7: Handsome, I can dress, I can sing, I got swat
- 34:56Speaker 7: on real.
- 34:58Speaker 3: I ain't never did nothing forl Like, what's the issue.
- 35:03Speaker 7: I think it's my confidence though, you know, they don't
- 35:05Speaker 7: like over confident people, especially not on the internet Noah nowhere,
- 35:09Speaker 7: Like you know what I'm saying, It's like nobody likes
- 35:11Speaker 7: the confident person that much.
- 35:13Speaker 3: It's like always something to say about.
- 35:14Speaker 7: They always look for the flaw, you know what I'm saying,
- 35:16Speaker 7: because they wonder, like how the fuck is this nigga
- 35:19Speaker 7: standing at five five that confident, Like it doesn't make sense,
- 35:23Speaker 7: Like that's why I know, God that made me six
- 35:25Speaker 7: fok cause it's like nigga, I don't six folks, Nigga
- 35:29Speaker 7: do you not know the damage would be going on
- 35:31Speaker 7: around this more fuck because it's already damaged around this moucker.
- 35:35Speaker 7: I'm just saying like, like.
- 35:37Speaker 3: Already punnis ship.
- 35:39Speaker 7: But imagine me coming in that bit like what God
- 35:43Speaker 7: was Like, No, Sirsky, you have a personality. I'm not
- 35:47Speaker 7: doing that with you, bro, because I'm already too much
- 35:49Speaker 7: Nigga six folk quick? Can you imagine that BT Like
- 35:54Speaker 7: we pull up Nigga walked through the dab, I'm already
- 35:58Speaker 7: walking down how they feel.
- 35:59Speaker 3: Right, little nigga? But come on, man.
- 36:02Speaker 7: So it's like I just feel a whole nother way
- 36:04Speaker 7: about myself and I just think people just don't understand why.
- 36:07Speaker 7: And I think it got to well, I know it
- 36:09Speaker 7: got a lot to do with my mom and my family.
- 36:10Speaker 3: Bro.
- 36:10Speaker 7: They put the better in my back long time ago,
- 36:13Speaker 7: just like as a child, like I always tell people like, Bro,
- 36:15Speaker 7: I was a neighborhood superstar. So it's like the shit
- 36:18Speaker 7: that we do it now, like I knew this day'll come.
- 36:21Speaker 7: But it's like people used to treat me like that
- 36:23Speaker 7: in the hood, like like oh that Qui, Oh, make
- 36:25Speaker 7: sure you QUI straight this before anybody know I can
- 36:27Speaker 7: sing anything it's just the energy, like you feel me
- 36:30Speaker 7: just like so when I made it, it didn't go
- 36:31Speaker 7: to my head cause it's like, oh, people been treat
- 36:34Speaker 7: me like this, and I just always knew how to
- 36:36Speaker 7: treat people, Like when I was in school, like the
- 36:39Speaker 7: janitors was my guys. You feel me like them was
- 36:41Speaker 7: my niggas, Like you feel what I'm saying, like the
- 36:43Speaker 7: hard way like in school. After school, I see them
- 36:45Speaker 7: in the street, never flexed on them, you know what
- 36:47Speaker 7: I'm saying.
- 36:47Speaker 3: So it's like I always had that type of respect
- 36:50Speaker 3: for people. My Mama always taught me that. I know.
- 36:52Speaker 7: That's why I've been blessed, you know, because even though
- 36:55Speaker 7: I may have more than others, I don't feel like that,
- 36:58Speaker 7: Like I don't base my life like that, Like I
- 37:00Speaker 7: don't go nowhere and think I'm better than nobody, you
- 37:02Speaker 7: know what I'm saying. But I was raised like that
- 37:04Speaker 7: to know, like you ain't better than nobody, you know
- 37:05Speaker 7: what I'm saying, Because you could be up to day
- 37:07Speaker 7: down tomorrow.
- 37:07Speaker 3: That's just how I go, you know what I'm saying.
- 37:09Speaker 3: It's faster to come down and to come up. Yeah,
- 37:11Speaker 3: I agree.
- 37:11Speaker 6: And one thing that I can say, you know, I
- 37:14Speaker 6: feel like I've been knowing you for a long time,
- 37:16Speaker 6: even when I was doing Ready on Arkansas. I remember
- 37:18Speaker 6: it with some stuff that happened in the club. I
- 37:20Speaker 6: don't know if you remember this, but it was like
- 37:22Speaker 6: something happened in the club with your security got into
- 37:24Speaker 6: it with somebody always at we was in Little Rock.
- 37:27Speaker 3: It was a long time ago.
- 37:28Speaker 6: You probably don't remember this, but I remember that was
- 37:30Speaker 6: my first time meeting you and seeing you and you.
- 37:33Speaker 3: Said, hey, bro chill out.
- 37:34Speaker 6: It's not our city, so chill out because you you're
- 37:38Speaker 6: gonna you're gonna start some stuff with these with these folks,
- 37:40Speaker 6: we got to get home.
- 37:41Speaker 3: Safe, Rember.
- 37:42Speaker 6: I remember it was bright, yeah, and I remember you
- 37:45Speaker 6: said that. I remember you said that, and I was like,
- 37:48Speaker 6: damn this nigga smart as head.
- 37:50Speaker 3: Oh yeah, because I was like, because we ain't got
- 37:52Speaker 3: that approved.
- 37:54Speaker 7: Like it's like it's like you gotta think, like when
- 37:56Speaker 7: you're a star, you already the target and you you
- 37:58Speaker 7: automatically sing like so it's like we could go to
- 38:01Speaker 7: a city.
- 38:02Speaker 3: Some dudes could been playing on us the whole time.
