- 0:47Speaker 1: might have created and makeup of evans and earth. Thank
- 0:50Speaker 1: you following on for blessings in what you bestowed upon
- 0:52Speaker 1: us in this life and in the alf and did
- 0:54Speaker 1: you forgive us follow hours since we forget those who
- 0:56Speaker 1: sent against us, even the since we may have committed
- 0:58Speaker 1: knowing and nothing knowing with each and ever brother and
- 1:01Speaker 1: sister and all living species, those lost fine and costs
- 1:04Speaker 1: rated those free. Did anything that I say that's uplifting
- 1:08Speaker 1: to people come from you? And you alone? Did anything
- 1:12Speaker 1: that I say that not uplifting? The people come from
- 1:17Speaker 1: the shade time and me, I'll be here responsible. I mean,
- 1:22Speaker 1: there it is. You know, what's the last time I
- 1:25Speaker 1: interviewed you. You You prayed before the interview too. That was
- 1:29Speaker 1: talking about with dude with DJ had that don't touch
- 1:31Speaker 1: Me interview. But it wasn't like I think that that
- 1:34Speaker 1: was misinterpreted. No, you know what, I go ahead ahead,
- 1:37Speaker 1: like I understand what you're saying, but please don't touch
- 1:40Speaker 1: me again. I just it's just was different. And I'm
- 1:46Speaker 1: not trying to have picks and choosers, but some people
- 1:50Speaker 1: the energy is in the alantment. Other people the energy
- 1:52Speaker 1: is not in the alamic. And there's nothing against him.
- 1:55Speaker 1: He's a great guy, great guy, great guy. You know
- 1:57Speaker 1: what I'm saying. It's just I believe that maybe my
- 2:01Speaker 1: energy was off that day. You know what's interesting about
- 2:03Speaker 1: that about that day was we did the interview, and
- 2:08Speaker 1: after the interview, I don't know if you remember, we
- 2:09Speaker 1: talked for like an hour and you played us the
- 2:11Speaker 1: album and you were like, man, I wish we would
- 2:14Speaker 1: have started the interview now because now I know y'all
- 2:16Speaker 1: and now if you know, you stepped into an unfamiliar
- 2:19Speaker 1: situation and it's just was it was tense, being that
- 2:25Speaker 1: I had just came home. Yeah, you were fresh out.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I was on supervis release, so I was still in
- 2:30Speaker 1: a different type of mode. I was can we get
- 2:32Speaker 1: the mic in front of you if you don't mind,
- 2:34Speaker 1: just say I was still in a transitioning period from
- 2:38Speaker 1: being in the box to being back in society, so
- 2:45Speaker 1: you know, it was still a little different for me. Yeah,
- 2:47Speaker 1: that was. That was I always because because people always
- 2:50Speaker 1: ask me about that one moment, and I'm always like,
- 2:51Speaker 1: you know what I tell them, I'm like, you know
- 2:52Speaker 1: what's crazy is after the interview ended, we hung out
- 2:56Speaker 1: and the energy was amazing, amazing. Yeah, and like you
- 2:59Speaker 1: played it the whole album front to back and we
- 3:02Speaker 1: had good talks like it was. It was, it was,
- 3:04Speaker 1: that was still a it was. I mean, I don't
- 3:07Speaker 1: be honest with you, Like when I look at old
- 3:10Speaker 1: interviews and old videos on myself, I cringe, Like that's
- 3:16Speaker 1: the that was the own drugs, Kevin. Wow, that was
- 3:20Speaker 1: the that was the fact, you know, unhealthy on drugs. Like,
- 3:26Speaker 1: I don't know, It's beautiful because I could look at
- 3:29Speaker 1: my growth and see it, but I never want to
- 3:31Speaker 1: be that person again, right ever? In life? What do
- 3:36Speaker 1: you think was the turning point for you to get sober,
- 3:39Speaker 1: and because I just feel like you're more spiritually just intact,
- 3:43Speaker 1: like I feel like you're tapped in. Yeah, man, I
- 3:45Speaker 1: feel like the energy is different. I tell you something
- 3:48Speaker 1: I never told people before in an interview. I've been
- 3:51Speaker 1: spiritual my whole life, and I think instead of owning
- 3:57Speaker 1: up to my responsibility, I would use drugs to kind
- 4:02Speaker 1: of dim my light, so to say, or turn my
- 4:07Speaker 1: gift down a little, because when it's intense, it's intense.
- 4:12Speaker 1: When you in tune, you in tune. And it also
- 4:16Speaker 1: I had a fear of people looking at me weird
- 4:21Speaker 1: for my beliefs, my belief system. But everybody has to
- 4:26Speaker 1: win their own way, and right now I'm winning my
- 4:31Speaker 1: own way, Like for the first time of my life,
- 4:34Speaker 1: I'm proud of myself. Like I could cry right now.
- 4:37Speaker 1: I'm proud of myself. I think about everything I've been
- 4:39Speaker 1: through and I look at where I'm at now. And
- 4:43Speaker 1: I always hear people say without a test you can
- 4:45Speaker 1: never have a testimony. But like for anybody that's suffering
- 4:50Speaker 1: with depression or you done been through something in your
- 4:53Speaker 1: past that was traumatic, we are not our past. Every day,
- 4:58Speaker 1: you have a chance an opportunity. Every day he is
- 5:00Speaker 1: a new opportunity to find your gratitude and be better
- 5:03Speaker 1: than what you was the day before. A lot of
- 5:07Speaker 1: people say that they figure life out when they start
- 5:10Speaker 1: moving with gratitude. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. It's
- 5:14Speaker 1: being thankful for just as little as shit, man, Because
- 5:18Speaker 1: sometimes I feel like we get so wrapped up and
- 5:20Speaker 1: chasing what's next. We don't live in the moment. We
- 5:23Speaker 1: don't appreciate what's going on right now. I was, I
- 5:27Speaker 1: was at this other spot downtown. I was there at
- 5:33Speaker 1: eleven o'clock, eleven thirty. I left at ten. I was like,
- 5:37Speaker 1: I'm gonna always be there early. And then I went
- 5:41Speaker 1: to the old building, the one across from the whole Fools.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I was dead twelve forty five, and then it just
- 5:49Speaker 1: was meant to be. And then we came over here.
- 5:52Speaker 1: But I used to record here. Well on the other side,
- 5:56Speaker 1: are we in next door? There's a studio two doors. Yeah.
- 5:58Speaker 1: I used to record here, recorded murder for how you
- 6:01Speaker 1: Oh wow, yes, sir, Yeah, I got this place in
- 6:04Speaker 1: February before the pandemic started years ago. Yeah, but this
- 6:08Speaker 1: I know, this place was I mean, you know, people
- 6:10Speaker 1: use this as a studio still. I mean that's kind
- 6:12Speaker 1: of at night, it's a recording studio. During the day
- 6:15Speaker 1: we do the show here beautiful. But yeah, man, it's
- 6:19Speaker 1: just been dope to see your growth. And like I said,
- 6:21Speaker 1: I got to get an early listen. Well, the album
- 6:23Speaker 1: is out now, so when this comes out, it's out.
- 6:25Speaker 1: But I listened to the whole album front to back,
- 6:27Speaker 1: and it feels like, I guess it feels like what
- 6:31Speaker 1: you just said, you're proud of yourself. It feels like
- 6:33Speaker 1: this was a lot of it felt like a therapeutic
- 6:36Speaker 1: body of work. Yeah. I did a lot of releasing
- 6:39Speaker 1: on this project. I rough with a lot of feathers.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Please find it in your heart to forgive me. I'm
- 6:47Speaker 1: so non sorry. Yeah, even this super Grimlin freestyle you're
- 6:51Speaker 1: going off five minutes straight. Yeah, it was a super
- 6:55Speaker 1: general free I mean five minutes straight, just delving through everything.
- 7:01Speaker 1: It was a release yeah man, it was it just Yeah,
- 7:05Speaker 1: that freestyle's crazy, like, uh, you know, obviously there's the
- 7:08Speaker 1: parts that went viral, but the parts that didn't go
- 7:10Speaker 1: viral where you're really kind of just bearing your soul
- 7:13Speaker 1: on that thing. People, people gravitate to what they want
- 7:19Speaker 1: to gravitate to. You know, I guess it was like Gumbo.
- 7:24Speaker 1: It had a little something, had something for everybody for sure,
- 7:28Speaker 1: for everybody. I guess, yeah, one hundred percent. How do
- 7:32Speaker 1: you feel like, because you know, I feel like it's
- 7:36Speaker 1: twenty twenty two, you know, maybe the last five or
- 7:40Speaker 1: six years and hip hop has been a real drug
- 7:42Speaker 1: infuse vibe. You've been through your struggles with drug addiction.
- 7:47Speaker 1: What is some advice you would give up and coming
- 7:49Speaker 1: artists who maybe where you are are at where you
- 7:52Speaker 1: were maybe a couple of years ago right now, that
- 7:54Speaker 1: maybe you want to change their life. It's not a
- 7:56Speaker 1: bad thing at all. Like these are people that choose
- 8:02Speaker 1: to self medicate. And I don't judge, but I pray
- 8:06Speaker 1: that everybody finds their way eventually, because when I was
- 8:11Speaker 1: on that level, I was doing what people on that
- 8:14Speaker 1: level did. I guess so to say, yeah, you know,
- 8:18Speaker 1: it's about frequency, it's about raising your vibration. And I
- 8:24Speaker 1: used to use drugs. It's more like a coping mechanism,
- 8:28Speaker 1: I guess, so to say alcohol too as a vice.
- 8:31Speaker 1: I got on alcohol. I never drank, I never drank,
- 8:34Speaker 1: but I got on alcohol like two thousand eighteen. It
- 8:43Speaker 1: was like maybe eighteen or nineteen. That's not long ago. Yeah,
- 8:46Speaker 1: And I just I just I just wanted to feel good.
- 8:50Speaker 1: I just wanted to numb everything and not feel it.
- 8:53Speaker 1: And that's what. But I'm making it like I was
- 8:56Speaker 1: just a big alcoholic because I can't drink. I can't
- 9:01Speaker 1: have a tolerance. Yeah, I got a low tierce like
- 9:04Speaker 1: you give me one or two shots. I'm you're you're,
- 9:07Speaker 1: you're on a level it's over with. I'm souced up. Yeah.
- 9:10Speaker 1: So but I saw a laugh that I was on
- 9:13Speaker 1: live one time, and I was on it. I was like, man,
- 9:16Speaker 1: that's embarrassing. Look at yourself. And I started talking to myself.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I'm like, man, come on, that's not him. What were
- 9:24Speaker 1: like the like your drugs of choice? Like if you
- 9:26Speaker 1: were coping, like what would be? Was it? Was it? Lean?
- 9:29Speaker 1: Was it? I used to drink a lot of lean.
- 9:32Speaker 1: I don't think I have a sit down with you
- 9:34Speaker 1: to do an interview. And I wouldn't just fresh off
- 9:38Speaker 1: the cup. It's a hard thing to kick right, drink
- 9:41Speaker 1: a lot of lean and I didn't probably smoke more
- 9:47Speaker 1: weed than a chimney. Are you off a weed period. Yeah,
- 9:53Speaker 1: I went through my face. Well I'm off of it.
- 9:56Speaker 1: But once I finished this run, I want to go
- 10:03Speaker 1: somewhere and just smoke. Relax, just relax and just smoke.
- 10:07Speaker 1: I just want to smoke. I just really want to
- 10:09Speaker 1: just get high and just relax. And it's nothing like that, man,
- 10:12Speaker 1: I think about nothing. Man, there's nothing like getting high
- 10:15Speaker 1: and just looking at the sky too. But I'm just
- 10:18Speaker 1: too focused right now. Respect it to so bad, but
- 10:21Speaker 1: I'm just too focused. Have you done any psychedelics, like
- 10:25Speaker 1: what kind of psychoths? Mushrooms, ayahuasca? You know? Because I
- 10:30Speaker 1: know right now shroom psilocybin is something I don't. I
- 10:34Speaker 1: hate to say this. I'm in a medicine tribe. I
- 10:38Speaker 1: come from a medicine tribe my mother's side of the family.
- 10:42Speaker 1: They native to this land. M hm. So you've done psilocybin, Yeah,
- 10:49Speaker 1: I don't know what the trooms. I grow my own mushrooms.
- 10:53Speaker 1: That's amazing. Golden teachers, Golden teachers, a good shroom strain.
- 10:57Speaker 1: And to be honest with you, it's the spiritual aspect
- 11:01Speaker 1: of the mushrooms. You know. What's crazy is I've been
- 11:03Speaker 1: paying attention to you the last few years and I'm like,
- 11:06Speaker 1: I have a feeling Gates is like woke in that space.
- 11:10Speaker 1: I just got that feeling. I've been. Yeah, I just
- 11:13Speaker 1: never talked about it. I've been. It's such a powerful
- 11:16Speaker 1: thing to like when I see people. I hate to
- 11:18Speaker 1: say this, when I see people take mushrooms and they like,
- 11:23Speaker 1: I take it with candy that's processed sugar, You're not
- 11:27Speaker 1: respecting the spirit of the mushrooms. The mushroom spirits, Like
- 11:31Speaker 1: what the beautiful thing about mushrooms? They heal what needs
- 11:35Speaker 1: to be healed. If a tree is dying under the
- 11:39Speaker 1: under the I'm not trying to be all what they
- 11:42Speaker 1: call it, all nerdy, right, No, no, no, this is
- 11:44Speaker 1: but pacha Mama Mother Earth. The earth is our mother.
- 11:49Speaker 1: She was here long before, she'll be here long after
- 11:52Speaker 1: we leave. Okay, under the ground the roots are connected
- 11:59Speaker 1: like this, All of the trees are connected. If one
- 12:02Speaker 1: tree over here is the can then what the mushrooms
- 12:05Speaker 1: do is they'll grow in a line. You obvious see
- 12:08Speaker 1: the mushrooms. They always grow in a line from one
- 12:10Speaker 1: tree to the other. They tap down into the root
- 12:13Speaker 1: system and they bring energy from one tree to the other.
- 12:17Speaker 1: That's how advance that nature is. Nature is more advanced
- 12:22Speaker 1: than we will ever be. That they communicate, Like I
- 12:26Speaker 1: know this sounds weird, but the trees com they communicate
- 12:29Speaker 1: with one another. It's like if you know anything about
- 12:32Speaker 1: harvesting flowers something o ea. Like that's I hear people
- 12:38Speaker 1: say weed onn like I like to address about her
- 12:41Speaker 1: her name, like it's a spirit, like marijuana is a
- 12:44Speaker 1: spirit something o ea. Something of their spirit. When you harvesting,
- 12:50Speaker 1: you can't harvest your flowers in the same room with
- 12:53Speaker 1: the other flowers. They give off enzymes and the other flowers.
- 12:56Speaker 1: How do they communicate like that? It's far more advanced
- 13:00Speaker 1: than we even know, we will ever understand. So every
- 13:05Speaker 1: everything has an essence. And when I say native to
- 13:08Speaker 1: this land, I'm talking about the Titano Indians. You know,
- 13:12Speaker 1: it's like the Tinino Indians is made up of everything.
- 13:16Speaker 1: They made up a chock tall chero key everything or
- 13:19Speaker 1: pet everything because they was taken from this land and
- 13:22Speaker 1: dispersed all over the Caribbean during slavery. So that's why
- 13:26Speaker 1: you got Titano Indians in Jamaica all the way around
- 13:30Speaker 1: the Caribbean to Puerto Rico. So that's like I said
- 13:34Speaker 1: Titino like they native. Yeah, I feel like the way
- 13:38Speaker 1: plants communicate, the way ants community saying that because if
- 13:41Speaker 1: somebody listen, they gonna be like you said native American,
- 13:44Speaker 1: you know, said his mother, you know, and I just
- 13:49Speaker 1: just giving up their tea being in case because they
- 13:51Speaker 1: love people love to critique me for some reason. Yeah,
- 13:54Speaker 1: I've gotten super high and just thought, how the fuck
- 13:56Speaker 1: do trees talk to each other? How do ants talk
- 13:59Speaker 1: to each other? Like there's like a frequency, it's like
- 14:02Speaker 1: a pulsation, it's electric. That's why your phone don't work
- 14:09Speaker 1: around trees. That's wild, that's real. Uh. Have you ever
- 14:13Speaker 1: had like a really therapeutic because you know, sometimes for
- 14:17Speaker 1: people who don't know if you do shrooms, they got
- 14:19Speaker 1: a certain they got certain levels of doses. Right, There's
- 14:23Speaker 1: there's microdosing, and then there's the hero's dose, which is
- 14:26Speaker 1: what people do when they just want to like work
- 14:29Speaker 1: through thirty years of shit in one sitting. Have you
- 14:32Speaker 1: ever had like a therapeutic moment on shrooms. I'm a
- 14:34Speaker 1: big shroom guy, So yeah, was it something? Because I
- 14:38Speaker 1: know I know a few people who've like literally had
- 14:41Speaker 1: life changing experiences. You've had that experience, do you remember
- 14:45Speaker 1: like what it was or because some I don't think
- 14:49Speaker 1: people understand. I think people don't do it. Think it's
- 14:51Speaker 1: like you take shrooms and you hallucinate, or you see
- 14:54Speaker 1: see things that aren't there, which it's more of like this.
- 14:59Speaker 1: It pulls back what's already there. There's your neuro paths,
- 15:03Speaker 1: it may have. The beautiful thing about the body is
- 15:07Speaker 1: if we've experienced trauma, our bodies will suppress that trauma
- 15:12Speaker 1: so we don't have to keep reliving and it won't
- 15:14Speaker 1: have to hurt us. What happens is you may you
- 15:18Speaker 1: may be exhibiting a behavior that stems from a traumatic past.
- 15:23Speaker 1: So once you sit and really respect the mushrooms and
- 15:27Speaker 1: sit with them and ask yourself, why am I like this?
- 15:31Speaker 1: Why why do I do this? Why do I do that?
- 15:35Speaker 1: And it'll be revealed to you everything. All of the
- 15:38Speaker 1: answers are within not the next turn could ever add value?
- 15:43Speaker 1: Have you ever done you ever? Have you ever smoked
- 15:47Speaker 1: the toad as Mike Tyson would call the d M
- 15:50Speaker 1: T that's the toad. Yeah, well it's two different ways,
- 15:56Speaker 1: that's two different toads told medicine. One is boufo. That's
- 16:02Speaker 1: where you smoked it when they rub his back, right,
- 16:05Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying for you free base it. And
- 16:07Speaker 1: then the other one where you clean your lymphatic system
- 16:12Speaker 1: is humbosito cumber and they take where it's still the
- 16:16Speaker 1: same poison, but they put it on you. They burn
- 16:19Speaker 1: you and put it on your skin. That sounds great.
- 16:23Speaker 1: I haven't heard of that. Have you done that? Have you?
- 16:25Speaker 1: Have you tried that? Like I said, I'm in a
- 16:28Speaker 1: medicine tried that's fire man. I'm so scared to try
- 16:31Speaker 1: it because I hear you're kind of gone for like
- 16:34Speaker 1: you know, fifty four, Yeah, like you hit it and
- 16:37Speaker 1: then you're just you're just kind of I'm not saying
- 16:39Speaker 1: that I ever tried it, but I'm gonna say you're
- 16:41Speaker 1: gonna be gone for like ten minutes, but it's gonna
- 16:45Speaker 1: feel like you've been gone for years. I've heard that,
- 16:50Speaker 1: I feel like you've been gone for a long time,
- 16:52Speaker 1: but you only been gone for ten minutes. But that's
- 16:58Speaker 1: just those are just starter kids like ayahuasca and excuse me,
- 17:03Speaker 1: excuse me, mother theay ayahuasca, because you gotta be respectful
- 17:08Speaker 1: when you're speaking of these spirits that they're strongest medicines
- 17:11Speaker 1: that come from the earth. But they just start up
- 17:18Speaker 1: starting kids. To me, they just let you know what's
- 17:21Speaker 1: already in you. You can reach these same levels through control, breathing, meditation.
- 17:29Speaker 1: You can reach these levels. You can unlock the d
- 17:32Speaker 1: MT that's naturally produced in your body through breathing. I
- 17:36Speaker 1: didn't know that. Yeah, so all of these feelings that
- 17:39Speaker 1: we're trying to feel, we can unlock them there. Yeah,
- 17:43Speaker 1: there's just certain things that kind of help, I guess
- 17:46Speaker 1: jump start. It's like a jump start, like a starter kid.
- 17:49Speaker 1: It helps you understand and realize what's already there. Yeah.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Ayahuasca is something I know you got to have like
- 17:56Speaker 1: a shaman, and you know, probably prepare with your diet
- 18:01Speaker 1: before you do something like that. It's like, well that's
- 18:05Speaker 1: a special diet. Yeah. All liquids, no fool. You don't
- 18:10Speaker 1: want any dense energy. You want to vibrate at the
- 18:14Speaker 1: highest frequency possible and when you hold space, you hold
- 18:18Speaker 1: in the sacred space ceremony. A lot of people don't
- 18:22Speaker 1: talk about it. I mean I don't care to really
- 18:24Speaker 1: talk about it because when you hear about it, you
- 18:28Speaker 1: hear all these Yeah. Man, it was a trip it's
- 18:31Speaker 1: not a trip, Like, it's not a drug. It's not
- 18:34Speaker 1: something you do recreationally. Correct. Yeah, I think that's the difference.
- 18:39Speaker 1: I think, like even with shrooms, which is obviously a
- 18:41Speaker 1: lot more mild than ayahuasca, but it's like your like,
- 18:46Speaker 1: when you take it, what's your intent because that's probably
- 18:48Speaker 1: what you're going to get out of it. You gotta
- 18:50Speaker 1: it's better when you do anything, you should state your intentions.
- 18:54Speaker 1: You should be intentional with everything you do. You chudging, Water,
- 18:59Speaker 1: I mean is living. I'm not trying to sound weird,
- 19:03Speaker 1: but it's a spirit's living life. Water is life without it?
- 19:09Speaker 1: What are we? You're right? Hey, water is literally like
- 19:12Speaker 1: like one of those you know, eccentric people right now.
- 19:15Speaker 1: There's nothing wrong with being eccentric. Guy, man, I'm not
- 19:18Speaker 1: trying to sound like that. What did you you you
- 19:22Speaker 1: kind of pulled this out of me. If it was
- 19:25Speaker 1: if it was talking about some music or some ship,
- 19:27Speaker 1: then yeah, but it's like we kind of you kind
- 19:30Speaker 1: of pulled this out of me, and it's just like
- 19:32Speaker 1: coming out because I usually don't have these conversations, especially
- 19:36Speaker 1: in interviews, right right right, you obviously you're in great
- 19:39Speaker 1: shape right now. You Yeah, square. Yeah, man, what dietary
- 19:47Speaker 1: things are you doing that kind of have gotten Obviously
- 19:50Speaker 1: you're hitting the gym, but in terms of just all
- 19:54Speaker 1: three times a day in the gym, how I got skinned.
- 19:56Speaker 1: It got on that alcohol which kind of helped me
- 19:58Speaker 1: block out all myself. Yeah. I was gonna saying we
- 20:00Speaker 1: can get see adderall, which is, by the way, if
- 20:02Speaker 1: you ever edit video, all the video editors I know
- 20:04Speaker 1: are on adderall. God bless them. No, I tried. This
- 20:07Speaker 1: is my first time speaking about it. I tried adderall.
- 20:12Speaker 1: I ain't gonna say I tried it. I did it
- 20:14Speaker 1: as a pre workout. I did adderall and pre workout
- 20:19Speaker 1: at the same time. Yeah, I was in a gym
- 20:21Speaker 1: like I was on a mission. In my mind. It
- 20:26Speaker 1: don't stay focused. Well then it didn't stay focused, and
- 20:33Speaker 1: then thank God for Ambrosia. They came out with this
- 20:38Speaker 1: mushroom pre workout. Yeah. A lot of people are doing it. Yeah, yeah,
- 20:44Speaker 1: I know people who will microdoes before their workout. No,
- 20:47Speaker 1: I'm I'm on ambrosia ore workout right now. That's interesting,
- 20:52Speaker 1: big and full of mushrooms. I take some and recharge.
- 20:56Speaker 1: So the adderall though, kind of got you like super focused,
- 20:59Speaker 1: to get in the gym initially when you tried it, Yeah,
- 21:04Speaker 1: I get yeah, I guess that's what you want to say. Yeah,
- 21:08Speaker 1: it's a very they say, it's like, what's that that
- 21:12Speaker 1: limitless pill in that movie? That that movie where you
- 21:15Speaker 1: take it and you could get ship done. It's not
- 21:17Speaker 1: like that. But I lost a lot of weight, Like
- 21:21Speaker 1: when people tell me, when people used to say you
- 21:24Speaker 1: had surgery, I used to look at it offensively. But
- 21:27Speaker 1: you know, I looked that good that you think I
- 21:29Speaker 1: had surgery. But nah, they thought you had like a
- 21:32Speaker 1: male BBL or something. I think that's wild. I think
- 21:35Speaker 1: that's what. I don't know because I never had that surgery.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Of course, I had been shot before and I had
- 21:42Speaker 1: surgery on my leg and that was just horrific. And
- 21:47Speaker 1: I was like, I never willingly undergo that type of screw. Yeah,
- 21:51Speaker 1: you'll never go under the knife unless you have to. Yeah,
- 21:53Speaker 1: I'm not doing to forgive me. I get mine out
- 21:56Speaker 1: the mud, which my finish journey took a little longer.
- 22:00Speaker 1: But the beautiful thing about it was when I first
- 22:03Speaker 1: started working out, I was still doing drugs. Then I
- 22:06Speaker 1: noticed that I start slacking up on the drugs because
- 22:11Speaker 1: it was like, you know, I don't have any energy
- 22:14Speaker 1: to get up and work out in the morning. Then
- 22:16Speaker 1: I noticed my work. I started being able to work
- 22:18Speaker 1: out more proficient, if that's the right word. Yeah. So
- 22:27Speaker 1: I noticed that, And then I also noticed that once
- 22:31Speaker 1: I started making small diet changes. It's like I wanted
- 22:36Speaker 1: to take my singing seers. When I was on tour
- 22:39Speaker 1: and I was reading about all of the things that
- 22:41Speaker 1: cause muke is built up, and I was reading about
- 22:44Speaker 1: animal products. So I'm vegan, vegan, vegan, vegan when I'm
- 22:50Speaker 1: on tour. When I'm not on tour, I'm vegan, but
- 22:54Speaker 1: I still eat animal products like cheese or eggs or
- 22:57Speaker 1: I love cheese. That's well, I love cheese. I love
- 23:03Speaker 1: vegan cheese is terrible. I don't want to say that.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Because they got some vegan cheese, that's good. I haven't
- 23:08Speaker 1: had any of it. Yeah, they got cheese, that's kind
- 23:11Speaker 1: of good. But you're right, yo, what man, we gotta
- 23:13Speaker 1: stop the interview real quick to tell you about our

- 23:29Speaker 1: A lot of guys go through ED. You could just
- 23:31Speaker 1: be old as shit if you're watching this and your

- 24:35Speaker 1: Let's get back to the interview. The mucus a dairy
- 24:37Speaker 1: causes so much mucus it's like crazy like and I
- 24:41Speaker 1: couldn't and it affects my singing mm hmm. And then
- 24:45Speaker 1: I started reading about like animal products and when you're
- 24:51Speaker 1: not getting enough chlorofield in your body, because chlorofielders will
- 24:54Speaker 1: help some metabolize animal products, but when you're not getting
- 24:57Speaker 1: enough chlorify. I used to like, damn, that's why they
- 24:59Speaker 1: always feed you vegetables with the steak. Yeah, it helps
- 25:03Speaker 1: you that jes so, and you can have steak once
- 25:07Speaker 1: every two weeks. All things within my moderation. So I
- 25:11Speaker 1: had to get off of the I'm extra vegan to
- 25:14Speaker 1: having balance. Yeah, I think that there is also like
- 25:18Speaker 1: health benefits to having animal protein that you probably won't
- 25:21Speaker 1: be able to. I like the way I feel when
- 25:23Speaker 1: I'm vegan. I do steak every two weeks is a nice,
- 25:27Speaker 1: but compromise my reward. I work super hard. I have
- 25:32Speaker 1: a cheat day every Sunday. Sunday is a good cheat day.
- 25:38Speaker 1: That's the best cheat day. Yeah, that's that's when I'm like,
- 25:42Speaker 1: when I'm like trying to be on my ship and
- 25:44Speaker 1: I'm trying to eat good. I always save Sundays. I
- 25:46Speaker 1: love cheese burgers. Oh man, but I'm gonna have to
- 25:50Speaker 1: really curtail it because I'm about to be going on
- 25:54Speaker 1: tour soon. You I love. Can you give me if
- 26:01Speaker 1: you could rank the top five fast food cheeseburgers from
- 26:05Speaker 1: one to five. We're talking major chains, not talking like
- 26:09Speaker 1: the spot on the corner that you love. If we
- 26:11Speaker 1: had to go from one to five best fast food
- 26:15Speaker 1: burgers because I always fight with people about how good
- 26:17Speaker 1: McDonald's is because I think it's fire. I'm gonna be honest.
- 26:20Speaker 1: It's not the burger. It's the mustard, the onions that
- 26:24Speaker 1: catch up in the pickles at McDonald's that make their cheese.
- 26:27Speaker 1: And then you put the fries on the burger. You
- 26:30Speaker 1: that too. I get that number nine with the two cheeseburger.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Do you barbecue? Of course? Of course with the fries.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Oh god, please know. I love McDonald's. I'd be like, yo,
- 26:47Speaker 1: if McDonald's was trash, it wouldn't be the number one
- 26:49Speaker 1: restaurant in the world. Now, it might be trash for you,
- 26:54Speaker 1: but all things, all things in moderation. Yeah, everybody got
- 26:59Speaker 1: something on that Donald's menu they fuck with. I love
- 27:02Speaker 1: the pancakes. Oh, the fucking hotcakes. I get the hotcakes, yes,
- 27:06Speaker 1: and I put the I put the butter on there.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Then I put strawberry jelly on that. Then I drizzle
- 27:11Speaker 1: the syrup. That's why I like that mcgriddlecause but I'm
- 27:14Speaker 1: weird though. They got this restaurant called Raisin Canes, got
- 27:18Speaker 1: the best fucking sauce. I go get, I go get
- 27:21Speaker 1: the pancakes, and I go get Wendy's French frass and
- 27:25Speaker 1: I go get Raisin Canes chicken fingers, and I eat.
- 27:28Speaker 1: I wrapped. I'm weird. I wrapped my I wrapped my
- 27:32Speaker 1: chicken finger inside the pancake. Do you introduce the cane
- 27:37Speaker 1: sauce into this equation? I got to and the honey mustard. Yeah,
- 27:42Speaker 1: So let me get this straight. You'll go to McDonald's.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Get me, I mean, listen, me and you both run
- 27:47Speaker 1: the same wavelength the fat fox here. I will food
- 27:50Speaker 1: taste better when you wait till your cheap day. That's
- 27:53Speaker 1: real because it's almost like like on mondays, I'll be like,
- 27:56Speaker 1: oh man, more days. So let me get this straight, though,
- 28:01Speaker 1: I don't want to just pass this over. You'll go
- 28:03Speaker 1: to McDonald's, you'll get the hotcakes. You go to Wendy's,
- 28:06Speaker 1: You'll get there for you're likes a hot cakes. You'll
- 28:08Speaker 1: get Wendy's fries, Wendy fries with the Wendy's barbecue sauce,
- 28:14Speaker 1: which is the best barbecue sauce it is. And then
- 28:17Speaker 1: you get Raisin Cane's chicken rais And we just combine
- 28:21Speaker 1: all three on a cheat day into some just metamorphically amazing.
- 28:26Speaker 1: I take all of my pancakes. People just sit down
- 28:29Speaker 1: and watch me. There. I put the I put the
- 28:31Speaker 1: butter on there. I put the strawberry jelly. I put
- 28:35Speaker 1: a little bit of syruve. I take my my own
- 28:39Speaker 1: Windy fries. It's so weird my process. I put all
- 28:43Speaker 1: my Windy fries down, I put my chicken fingers across them.
- 28:47Speaker 1: I take the lemons and I squeezed my lemons acrossy.
- 28:50Speaker 1: I drill a hot sauce acrossy. Then I take the
- 28:53Speaker 1: barbecue sauce and drill my barbecue sauce acrossy. Then I
- 28:57Speaker 1: put my fries and my chicken on my I make
- 29:02Speaker 1: like a burrito on the on the hat cake and
- 29:05Speaker 1: I just eat it. And people be like, what do
- 29:08Speaker 1: you do with the cane sauce? I dip it, Okay, okay, okay,
- 29:11Speaker 1: I just dip it like every other bite I might
- 29:14Speaker 1: dip it from from the raising cane sauce to the
- 29:17Speaker 1: honey mustard vice versa. No, man, I'm not gonna land
- 29:22Speaker 1: the trick. You're talking to the same person that puts
- 29:24Speaker 1: strawberry jelly and grape jelly on their cheeseburgers. I've actually
- 29:29Speaker 1: I'm just weird. I went to some like fancy place
- 29:31Speaker 1: recently and they had I bought a cheeseburger and it
- 29:35Speaker 1: had bacon jam. Yeah, they've been doing a bacon jam.
- 29:39Speaker 1: Care for that. I don't eat pork. Yeah, but it
- 29:42Speaker 1: was it wasn't bad. I understand like your logic there.
- 29:46Speaker 1: I just can't because I know that I know the
- 29:49Speaker 1: truth behind it, so I can't. I just can't eat it.
- 29:53Speaker 1: They don't have any veins, that is kind of They
- 29:56Speaker 1: don't detox and they'll eat anything. But they really like
- 30:01Speaker 1: some of the smartest animals on earth. They super smart,
- 30:05Speaker 1: their survivors. They super smart. But I just because they
- 30:09Speaker 1: got him. Sometime. They used to run across my lane
- 30:12Speaker 1: on my farm. You'll see him in the morning and
- 30:14Speaker 1: they got away. They communicate with each other and everything.
- 30:17Speaker 1: They like little people. Well, your Muslim Muslims can't eat,
- 30:21Speaker 1: is that right? Yeah, I don't eat. You've also on
- 30:25Speaker 1: your I want to shout out to Fredo Bang, who
- 30:29Speaker 1: you gave some love to in this super General freestyle.
- 30:33Speaker 1: It's one of the I don't know who the other
- 30:35Speaker 1: guy was because being team NBA band team Okay, so
- 30:39Speaker 1: uh as two of the guys who now give you love.
- 30:45Speaker 1: I was watching a thing like a documentary and he
- 30:49Speaker 1: was on the wrapping the streets of b R and
- 30:53Speaker 1: he was like Kevin Gates and he saluted me, and
- 30:55Speaker 1: I was like, man, it felt good because a lot
- 30:59Speaker 1: of people don't do that well. I do feel like
- 31:01Speaker 1: your influence on a generation is very understated. I do
- 31:08Speaker 1: feel like, you know, the twenty fourteen to twenty fifteen
- 31:12Speaker 1: way that you had gone. I was living in Florida
- 31:13Speaker 1: at the time. I was living in Tampa, so I
- 31:15Speaker 1: was very much you know, you were very big in
- 31:19Speaker 1: that market. And I feel like somehow you don't get
- 31:24Speaker 1: enough credit for a lot of what's going on right now,
- 31:28Speaker 1: specifically even just with your city. You know what I'm saying.
- 31:31Speaker 1: I'm not even looking for that. It just feel good
- 31:34Speaker 1: when people do salute, right, It just feel good. That's
- 31:38Speaker 1: why I love my concerts. I'm nervous before every concert
- 31:41Speaker 1: because I want to give it the best performance ever.
- 31:45Speaker 1: I work out before every concert I get there, I
- 31:49Speaker 1: get that a day or two early and workout. I
- 31:51Speaker 1: stay in tip type shape so I can be performers
- 31:54Speaker 1: ready at all times. I've seen you do a show,
- 31:59Speaker 1: after the show, do an after party. This was in Tampa.
- 32:03Speaker 1: I didn't go to the studio, no, no, no. You
- 32:06Speaker 1: went to Club sky and Tampa after Wild Splash, and
- 32:12Speaker 1: you walked through the entire crowd and hugged every person
- 32:16Speaker 1: in this in the crowd, by myself, by yourself, no security.
- 32:21Speaker 1: You literally, I mean we're talking about a club of
- 32:24Speaker 1: full fifteen hundred people and this is like, this is
- 32:29Speaker 1: I think you might have had two phones out at
- 32:31Speaker 1: this time, and I never seen anybody. I was grateful
- 32:36Speaker 1: embrace the people that were there to support them the
- 32:38Speaker 1: way you did that day. I was like, this is
- 32:40Speaker 1: I've never seen them, the people that loved me for real,
- 32:42Speaker 1: So I was I was grateful. I was grateful for
- 32:45Speaker 1: that moment. I was grateful, So I had to I
- 32:51Speaker 1: had to touch the people because I was grateful. Yeah,
- 32:54Speaker 1: has that ever gone wrong? No? Well, I had a
- 32:59Speaker 1: situation well, and it's so crazy. It was. It was
- 33:05Speaker 1: the worst. I want to say it was the worst
- 33:07Speaker 1: thing that ever happened to me in my life. But
- 33:09Speaker 1: it really was the best thing because I wouldn't be
- 33:12Speaker 1: where I'm there right now. I got a level of
- 33:15Speaker 1: freedom that most people only wish they had. But I
- 33:19Speaker 1: was kind of black ball what happened in County. Yeah,
- 33:24Speaker 1: I was kind of black ball. Like I never made
- 33:26Speaker 1: contact with the girl I tried to. I didn't even
- 33:30Speaker 1: know that it was a girl. I just seen hands
- 33:33Speaker 1: just stay of grabbing because the light was so bright.
- 33:36Speaker 1: But at the same time, me being who I am,
- 33:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna defend myself. That's like somebody talking about man, bro,
- 33:43Speaker 1: how you are feeling. If that could have been my
- 33:46Speaker 1: little sister, Man, i'd have did that to your mama.
- 33:48Speaker 1: I don't have no peaks. Also that you're I can't
- 33:53Speaker 1: see who it is I did that to your mama,
- 33:56Speaker 1: How to did that to your grandfather? I don't have
- 33:58Speaker 1: no peaks. When it was a maybe that's all it
- 34:01Speaker 1: was gonna be like, I don't have no peaks, Like
- 34:05Speaker 1: this is what I tell people that, And it's like
- 34:08Speaker 1: nobody understand. They still throw that at me SA every
- 34:11Speaker 1: time every now and then. But I'm like, my footage
- 34:15Speaker 1: wasn't even permissible in court. I never made contact. It
- 34:19Speaker 1: was no damages for her. I played soccer my whole life.
- 34:23Speaker 1: Your head would have came off your body. My daughter
- 34:27Speaker 1: was on stage with me. I had to move my
- 34:29Speaker 1: daughter to the back of the stage, right, Yeah, I
- 34:32Speaker 1: think And at that time, at that time, being young,
- 34:36Speaker 1: being ignorant, being out the streets, you know, it's like
- 34:41Speaker 1: I'm a natural protector, so I ain't thinking about who
- 34:45Speaker 1: down now, I'm protecting my trial. If I'm a chief,
- 34:48Speaker 1: and I feel like the stage, if you're the guy
- 34:50Speaker 1: who also goes in the crowd and embraces your fans,
- 34:53Speaker 1: you should also have the stage be your safe place.
- 34:56Speaker 1: This is but it just it was crazy that it happened.
- 35:00Speaker 1: I was. It was just crazy when it happened because
- 35:02Speaker 1: I never made contact. But the world just blew it
- 35:05Speaker 1: up like he just did, and I'm like what Then
- 35:09Speaker 1: I ended up going to jail. The charge is a
- 35:13Speaker 1: four hundred dollar fame. I went to jail for six months.
- 35:18Speaker 1: For six months, like I was supposed to have a
- 35:21Speaker 1: tea party with my daughter, and it's like I lied
- 35:24Speaker 1: to her, like I missed like two of her birthdays.
- 35:30Speaker 1: It was just crazy. I did six months and then
- 35:34Speaker 1: I was already fighting a charge in Chicago, which I
- 35:37Speaker 1: was innocent on that charge also, and I ended up
- 35:41Speaker 1: doing thirty three months, which I was supposed to do
- 35:45Speaker 1: thirty six months. But the judge showed Lina see he
- 35:48Speaker 1: didn't abuse discretion. So I guess that was a good thing.
- 35:51Speaker 1: But I was innocent. But I could also say that
- 35:57Speaker 1: was the best thing that ever could have happened to me,
- 35:59Speaker 1: because I wouldn't be where I'm at right now if
- 36:03Speaker 1: that wouldn't have happened, Like that was the best thing
- 36:06Speaker 1: that could have happened. What were the Because some people
- 36:10Speaker 1: go through that and they come out on the other
- 36:11Speaker 1: side of it worse for it, and some people go
- 36:13Speaker 1: through it and they come out on the other side
- 36:14Speaker 1: of it with more growth and to come out best.
- 36:18Speaker 1: What were the things that you kind of took away
- 36:20Speaker 1: from that. It's obviously sitting down for thirty three months
- 36:24Speaker 1: as well, serious chunk. It's trying at times, you know,
- 36:30Speaker 1: but my eyes was open to reality, and reality is
- 36:35Speaker 1: harsh and the world is a very cruel place. It is,
- 36:40Speaker 1: and every time I meet people that's dealing with depression
- 36:43Speaker 1: of suffering, I tell the man, the world's a cruel place.
- 36:45Speaker 1: Trust me, I know. But I had time to sit
- 36:48Speaker 1: with myself. Like the six months in Florida, I was like, man, yeah,
- 36:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it this way when I go back
- 36:54Speaker 1: out there, but I wasn't all the way ready. Then
- 36:59Speaker 1: when I went to Chicago, I was like, I'm gonna
- 37:04Speaker 1: do it this way. After like maybe a year, But
- 37:07Speaker 1: as I got longer into the BID, I just was
- 37:11Speaker 1: like it had stripped me. It broke me all the
- 37:14Speaker 1: way down to HM being more appreciative, being more appreciative,
- 37:24Speaker 1: And that's that's when I that's when I really sat
- 37:27Speaker 1: with myself for the first time. And the other time
- 37:30Speaker 1: I went to jail, you know, I was in the mix.
- 37:33Speaker 1: This time it was like I had matured. You know,
- 37:37Speaker 1: this is my first time ever taking yoga, because this
- 37:39Speaker 1: is my first time being in a minimum security prison
- 37:42Speaker 1: and the other time I go to maximum security prisons. Well,
- 37:45Speaker 1: we just in this bitch stuggn you know, but it's structured.
- 37:49Speaker 1: You know, our prison is structured. And that's the first
- 37:56Speaker 1: time I had ever experimented with yoga, and I liked it.
- 38:02Speaker 1: At first though. I was like, I ain't about to
- 38:04Speaker 1: do no yoga. That's some old bitch shit. Yeah for sure, shit,
- 38:08Speaker 1: you go do the yoga, right. My sella kept on
- 38:10Speaker 1: telling me, man, I'm telling you, man, you just gotta
- 38:13Speaker 1: do it. His name T Boone Man shout out to
- 38:15Speaker 1: t boonb yep, so yoga. I mean, yeah, that is interesting.
- 38:21Speaker 1: That what he used to tell me. Come on, ba ba,
- 38:22Speaker 1: we gotta go do yoga. Come on, he's man, they
- 38:25Speaker 1: got yoga. And I'm like, I'm I ain't about to
- 38:28Speaker 1: go do no yoga. Man. I'm telling you. He couldn't
- 38:30Speaker 1: even he was having knee problems he started doing yoga.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Nah is he don't even He's not even in pain anymore.
- 38:35Speaker 1: Come on, you gotta go. So I'm like, all yeah,
- 38:38Speaker 1: But just one day I went, I gave it a
- 38:42Speaker 1: try for the first time. I said, man, this bitch
- 38:44Speaker 1: aad shit man. The first maybe the first two poses
- 38:48Speaker 1: I got into, I immediately had to go to the
- 38:50Speaker 1: bathroom and shit, wow, and it just yoga started curving
- 38:55Speaker 1: my appetite and things of that nature. But when I
- 38:57Speaker 1: came home, upon being reinserted into society, I kind of
- 39:01Speaker 1: like got away from those things. But then when I
- 39:05Speaker 1: got back into fitness, I was like, you're back on
- 39:08Speaker 1: the yoga. Yeah, I do yoga every day. What are
- 39:11Speaker 1: the benefits for somebody? For someone who says the same
- 39:13Speaker 1: thing you said, this is some bit shit. I know
- 39:16Speaker 1: it's gonna sound crazy, but when I meet people that
- 39:19Speaker 1: do yoga, I'll be like, you're a gangster, because I
- 39:23Speaker 1: know it's been a journey for me. And the beautiful
- 39:28Speaker 1: thing is yoga is non judging. It's just you being
- 39:32Speaker 1: one with yourself. It's non judging. It's just you focus
- 39:36Speaker 1: on yourself. You focus on your breathing, and every breath
- 39:39Speaker 1: you try to deepen the stretch. And it's very very
- 39:42Speaker 1: it's therapeutic. It's like you get a hide from it. Wow,
- 39:47Speaker 1: and you released. Like one time I was doing a
- 39:49Speaker 1: pigeon poles that's where you had your leg like a
- 39:53Speaker 1: lit al and your other leg. That's when you open
- 39:55Speaker 1: your hip. And I was opening my hip for and
- 40:02Speaker 1: when I was in the stretch, I just started crying.
- 40:05Speaker 1: She started crying tears, and the lady she just put
- 40:09Speaker 1: her hands on my back and she say, the energy
- 40:12Speaker 1: that you're feeling is not your own. You're having a release,
- 40:16Speaker 1: You're having an emotional detox. She said, this is psychic
- 40:21Speaker 1: debris that you're picking up on. Just release the things
- 40:24Speaker 1: that no longer serve you. She said, no, say it,
- 40:29Speaker 1: Say I release all of the things that no longer
- 40:31Speaker 1: serve me. I said it. And then my new yoga coach,
- 40:36Speaker 1: I was telling her that my left hip not as
- 40:39Speaker 1: flexible as my right hip, and she was like, well,
- 40:43Speaker 1: you know, your left side of your body is feminine,
- 40:45Speaker 1: your right side is masculine. So you should ask your
- 40:49Speaker 1: hip what is it that you're trying to teach me?
- 40:51Speaker 1: So like I talked to my body. Pause now, because
- 40:54Speaker 1: once I start saying what is it that you're trying
- 40:57Speaker 1: to teach me? Or what is it that you need
- 40:58Speaker 1: me to release? Things start changing in my life. Like
- 41:04Speaker 1: it's crazy. Like when we get rid of baggage, like
- 41:08Speaker 1: I would badi or lighter, it's just the things around us,
- 41:14Speaker 1: well us down their anchors. That could be people too
- 41:17Speaker 1: write it could be. Yeah, it's really one of the
- 41:20Speaker 1: biggest things. So when I every time I do my
- 41:24Speaker 1: stretch now my pigeon poles on the left side, I
- 41:27Speaker 1: always tell my hip, thank you, like thank you for
- 41:30Speaker 1: trusting me, thank you for releasing, thank you for teaching me,
- 41:33Speaker 1: thank you for serving me. I thank my feet, thank
- 41:37Speaker 1: you for all the stability you give me. Because I'm
- 41:40Speaker 1: out you just stepping on these over if you have
- 41:44Speaker 1: a song on the album called stepping, great record, but
- 41:49Speaker 1: I just wanted to be funny. And by the way, yeah,
- 41:53Speaker 1: great body of work. I know that you would kind
- 41:56Speaker 1: of acknowledge that the last project maybe wasn't up to par.
- 42:01Speaker 1: It was. It was beautiful as far as the uh,
- 42:03Speaker 1: just the I guess how it performed. It wasn't about
- 42:07Speaker 1: the numbers. It was beautiful. The project was beautiful. It
- 42:10Speaker 1: was a beautiful project. I believe the project may have
- 42:13Speaker 1: been ahead of its time, like Big Gangster when it
- 42:16Speaker 1: came out, it was ahead of his time. Right now,
- 42:18Speaker 1: it's just out of here. So the project was a
- 42:23Speaker 1: beautiful project, but it was everything that I was going
- 42:26Speaker 1: through emotionally during that time. That was one of my
- 42:29Speaker 1: roughest times, just personally away from the music. You was
- 42:32Speaker 1: just going during during the making up I'm Him, that
- 42:35Speaker 1: was one of the roughest times. Like after the during
- 42:39Speaker 1: like toward the end of the Luca Brassey three, going
- 42:41Speaker 1: into the I'm Him, that was one of the roughest
- 42:43Speaker 1: times of my life. But I was trying to mask
- 42:46Speaker 1: it and pretend. But people that know me, they knew.
- 42:51Speaker 1: But I was dying on the inside. I was suffering.
- 42:54Speaker 1: And that album kind of came out before it's time.
- 42:58Speaker 1: But it's beautiful that it came out because I could
- 43:02Speaker 1: sit back nine appreciate it and be reflective, like, look
- 43:05Speaker 1: what I overcame. It's got to be a hard thing
- 43:08Speaker 1: to be going through some personal shit like that, oh man,
- 43:11Speaker 1: And you can't say nothing gates and you gotta and
- 43:14Speaker 1: you gotta be perfect all the time. Yeah, you gotta
- 43:17Speaker 1: be perfect. That's crazy, Like you got you experience every
- 43:22Speaker 1: human emotion that it is even more so because you
- 43:25Speaker 1: wear your heart on the sleeve. You're a lover, your giver.
- 43:28Speaker 1: But no matter what you do, the world beat you up.
- 43:32Speaker 1: You get beat up when you go home it's like
- 43:35Speaker 1: nothing you ever do it's good enough, so you never
- 43:37Speaker 1: really feel welcome anywhere you go, you know what I'm saying,
- 43:42Speaker 1: Like this comes from being a child, Like get out,
- 43:45Speaker 1: It's like you never really feel welcome anywhere you go
- 43:47Speaker 1: because it's like, if I'm not being what everybody want
- 43:53Speaker 1: me to be, then are you gonna still love me?
- 43:56Speaker 1: To sing? And that's just what I was dealing with. Like,
- 44:00Speaker 1: and I work so hard so other people can enjoy it.
- 44:03Speaker 1: It's my first time enjoying myself, enjoying my life. When
- 44:07Speaker 1: you're someone like you who's a lot of people depend on,
- 44:11Speaker 1: it's like it's almost like you're so much to so
- 44:14Speaker 1: many people. But like, and you know, I'm in that
- 44:18Speaker 1: same position where I was taught wrong. Okay, I was
- 44:21Speaker 1: taught wrong. We wasn't taught right. We was taught wrong.
- 44:27Speaker 1: And as a child, when you provide or look out
- 44:32Speaker 1: for people, you develop this sensor. I'm only as good
- 44:36Speaker 1: as what I could do for everybody around me. If
- 44:40Speaker 1: you can't be used, you useless. But when you love
- 44:43Speaker 1: somebody as you love yourself, the way you love somebody
- 44:47Speaker 1: else's reflection of how you love yourself. You know, like
- 44:52Speaker 1: if you hunger, and I cut up some fruit and
- 44:54Speaker 1: bring you some fruit. You know, this is what I
- 44:57Speaker 1: would eat, right. I look at my body like my
- 44:59Speaker 1: temple now right, this is you know what I'm saying.
- 45:03Speaker 1: So the way that you love others is the way
- 45:04Speaker 1: that you love yourself because money isn't always the solution
- 45:08Speaker 1: for everything. It's really an enabler. It's a band aid.
- 45:12Speaker 1: It doesn't fix anything. Anything that needs to be fixed
- 45:16Speaker 1: has to be done on the inside. Did you ever
- 45:19Speaker 1: get to the point where everybody comes to you? Right?
- 45:23Speaker 1: You have kids, obviously, you're in a public relationship. You
- 45:27Speaker 1: have the labels, you got you know, people in your entourage,
- 45:31Speaker 1: your manager, whatever. But it's like, who do I go
- 45:34Speaker 1: to when I'm going through some shit because you're the
- 45:36Speaker 1: You're kind of the leader. I know who I go to?
- 45:39Speaker 1: Who do you go to? The microphone? That's your therapy,
- 45:42Speaker 1: that's what you I got songs that I never released,
- 45:45Speaker 1: probably won't ever release, but I had to get it out.
- 45:47Speaker 1: That's what I mean. That's real. You have that outlet,
- 45:52Speaker 1: which is great. I mean, you know, and then working out,
- 45:55Speaker 1: going to the gym, And I think that's why people
- 45:58Speaker 1: love you so much, Because people have such an emotional
- 46:00Speaker 1: connection to you because you've been so vulnerable on records
- 46:04Speaker 1: over the years. Yeah, it takes greater courage to show
- 46:08Speaker 1: exhibit vulnerability than it does to be a tough guy.
- 46:12Speaker 1: That's right. When at the times that I was being tough,
- 46:15Speaker 1: it was out of fear, a fear of being vulnerable.
- 46:19Speaker 1: The reason I learned how to fight and took all
- 46:21Speaker 1: these different martial laws and all of this because I
- 46:24Speaker 1: had a fear of being weak, or fear of being vulnerable,
- 46:27Speaker 1: fear of being taken advantage of the hardest thing for
- 46:30Speaker 1: me to ever learn how to do with surrender. That's crazy.
- 46:35Speaker 1: What up, y'all? Hey, we gotta stop the interview to
- 46:37Speaker 1: tell you about our partners, the presenting sponsor of the

- 47:27Speaker 1: Dolph ain't gone. He's with you. He's right here in
- 47:28Speaker 1: the booth with me. He with me right now. Dolph
- 47:31Speaker 1: was a good friend of mine, a great guy, somebody
- 47:34Speaker 1: who was a leader, somebody who uh you know. Obviously
- 47:38Speaker 1: what happened to him was a tragedy, but everything happened
- 47:41Speaker 1: for a reason. Nothing happens without the permission of the creator.
- 47:46Speaker 1: And I know for a fact that he was in
- 47:48Speaker 1: tune with the creator. He come to me sometimes. My
- 47:52Speaker 1: brother ma is a come to me sometime. I don't
- 47:54Speaker 1: know why I'm saying this, but dude, I've had a
- 47:57Speaker 1: few artists, Mazi one of them who's who brought you
- 48:00Speaker 1: up as not that you're talking about from Sacramento, No,
- 48:04Speaker 1: I mean, I've had artists who brought you up like
- 48:07Speaker 1: in terms of like you're kind of like their spiritual advisor,
- 48:11Speaker 1: low key like artists, even money bag Yell who I
- 48:14Speaker 1: know you said you guys aren't closet, But I remember
- 48:15Speaker 1: interviewing a few years ago. That's my brother. But I
- 48:19Speaker 1: know that he, like he had mentioned that like you
- 48:21Speaker 1: would kind of helped get him into, you know, exploring
- 48:24Speaker 1: his faith. You know what I mean. I look at
- 48:28Speaker 1: it like this, what I eat not gonna make another
- 48:32Speaker 1: person shit, and what you eat not gonna make me shit.
- 48:36Speaker 1: But the beautiful thing about it is we may not
- 48:39Speaker 1: be brothers and sisters in faith, but we still brothers
- 48:42Speaker 1: and sisters in humanity. Anything that you go through, I'm
- 48:46Speaker 1: gonna feel it. I mean, we get lost on the exterior,
- 48:49Speaker 1: but we all the same on the inside to an extent,
- 48:53Speaker 1: right right right to an extent. Yeah, that's that's fair.
- 48:58Speaker 1: How much flak you've gotten for this, Beyonce A bar
- 49:02Speaker 1: Ain't nobody say nothing to me? I do like how
- 49:04Speaker 1: you preface the bar with if you guys are swingers
- 49:09Speaker 1: and in general? Uh that that Ruby Rose replied to
- 49:14Speaker 1: your to your uh, to your to be honest, and
- 49:19Speaker 1: this is what all due respect. That's one of the
- 49:23Speaker 1: most beautiful women in the world. Like I sit in
- 49:26Speaker 1: the trap with all the monsters, they say the same thing.
- 49:30Speaker 1: Like all I did is say it with everybody. Think
- 49:33Speaker 1: that's fair, the most beautiful woman in the world, Like
- 49:35Speaker 1: I would drink your piss, Like what the fuck? Like,
- 49:40Speaker 1: come on, man, like, what the fuck Beyonce's piss? Obviously,
- 49:43Speaker 1: yeah right here, ma moa, what's that? But I'm just saying,
- 49:46Speaker 1: like you gotta think I speak for the niggas that's
- 49:49Speaker 1: incarcer rated, the sit down and watch these people on
- 49:52Speaker 1: TV and everything. This is what everybody thinking. This is true?
- 49:57Speaker 1: I mean Beyonce is we always have talks like that's
- 50:01Speaker 1: like that's like say if this was right here this
- 50:04Speaker 1: you know, this is my water bottle, this is my wife.
- 50:08Speaker 1: I feel good knowing that everybody in the world won't
- 50:12Speaker 1: this what I have, what's mine? Yeah, I'm winning. Yeah,
- 50:18Speaker 1: I'm living y'all dreams every night. So you know, people,
- 50:23Speaker 1: the other people that took a disrespect of y'all just
- 50:25Speaker 1: scared to say what y'all scared to be who y'all are?
- 50:29Speaker 1: I guess by the way, I don't put that much
- 50:33Speaker 1: thought into stuff. I just speak from the heart. At
- 50:35Speaker 1: what point in time did you realize in life that
- 50:40Speaker 1: squirt was passed? It's not. It kind of is. I
- 50:45Speaker 1: just say that, but it's not. It's like it's like
- 50:48Speaker 1: a portion of it is because you're I got a
- 50:51Speaker 1: question for you. Yeah, every woman that you've been intimate
- 50:55Speaker 1: with sexually, were they squirrels? I think every woman is
- 51:00Speaker 1: a squirter. Every woman is a squirter. But did you
- 51:03Speaker 1: make every woman that you've been with sexually squirke? Every
- 51:07Speaker 1: woman that I cared I cared about Yes, Because to
- 51:11Speaker 1: make a woman squirt is an art. I agree, it's
- 51:15Speaker 1: an art. Like I feel like any woman I ever
- 51:19Speaker 1: was with that I cared about pleasing. Yes, it's a release, right,
- 51:23Speaker 1: So it's an art. If if I don't make this
- 51:28Speaker 1: woman come, if I don't make this woman squirt, I
- 51:31Speaker 1: didn't do my job as a professional dixman, Like I
- 51:36Speaker 1: didn't get a I didn't get an A on my
- 51:39Speaker 1: dick report, your report card. Yeah. Yeah, So I want
- 51:43Speaker 1: to always you know, this is a brand name. I
- 51:47Speaker 1: want to always have a good dick report, you know.
- 51:50Speaker 1: And I mean that with all due respect. To whoever listening.
- 51:55Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Listen, buddy, I'm over here,
- 51:58Speaker 1: over here, over here, I look at a woman like
- 52:03Speaker 1: art like, I ain't please my partner, my pleasure activists,
- 52:09Speaker 1: I get off on seeing whether I'm intimately involved with
- 52:13Speaker 1: get off my partner. Yes, as someone who's it's crazy
- 52:18Speaker 1: that this whole interview just went left. But well s
- 52:21Speaker 1: you know, you know what's interesting because I always tell
- 52:23Speaker 1: that to him. Started off spiritual. Now we're talking about squirting, man,
- 52:27Speaker 1: But I just noticed, like when you do things selfishly,
- 52:33Speaker 1: like the womb, it's his own entity is very spiritual.
- 52:37Speaker 1: The womb knows if you being selfish, and she won't release.
- 52:42Speaker 1: I'm like you. I had my wife literally squirt in
- 52:46Speaker 1: my mouth multiple times. You know what I'm saying, Let's
- 52:48Speaker 1: let's do that, buddy. You know what I'm saying. What
- 52:51Speaker 1: do we do and if we ain't trying to please
- 52:52Speaker 1: the ones we love? Yes, sir, ain't nothing like having
- 52:56Speaker 1: your girl ride your face and then things go you know.
- 52:59Speaker 1: But the thing thing is, though, the reason I brought
- 53:01Speaker 1: up the piss thing is you might have a crazy
- 53:03Speaker 1: night and the sheets are fucked. Mattress gets wet you
- 53:08Speaker 1: wake up the next morning. It's a little pissy of
- 53:12Speaker 1: a smell. You gotta have a fuck room the room.
- 53:16Speaker 1: You got a fuck room, and you got a fuck
- 53:19Speaker 1: room in the sleep room. That's interesting. So you you
- 53:22Speaker 1: would just designate room in a late room. I don't
- 53:25Speaker 1: even like the word. I don't like the word six.
- 53:28Speaker 1: I just say it so everybody know what I'm talking about.
- 53:31Speaker 1: But it's spiritual. It's spiritual unification. I pray before I
- 53:35Speaker 1: have six. This is spiritual. You'll pray before sex, yes,
- 53:40Speaker 1: every time? Every time? It's spiritual. That's interesting. Yeah, I
- 53:44Speaker 1: mean you'll pray during sac Hey, I just be thanking God.
- 53:49Speaker 1: Would you ever stop and be like, give me a
- 53:51Speaker 1: sec No, no, no, no, but just in your head. No,
- 53:54Speaker 1: I say it out loud, like like if I'm just
- 53:58Speaker 1: in it and I'm just really punching that dick. I'm
- 54:02Speaker 1: talking about punching that dick in her stomach, I'd just
- 54:04Speaker 1: be like, yes, Lord, yes, Lord, because this I never
- 54:09Speaker 1: thought like coming from where I come from me. I
- 54:14Speaker 1: know people look at me like Kevin Kates, but I
- 54:16Speaker 1: don't see Kevin Gates, right, I see regular old Kevin.
- 54:19Speaker 1: So I'm like, man, it's a blessing to be hitting
- 54:23Speaker 1: a big bulled bitch. You got a body of a
- 54:26Speaker 1: work of art in front. I'm talking about I gotta work.
- 54:29Speaker 1: Oh I'm talking about I'm talking about just having my
- 54:33Speaker 1: way and it's making them big bulla bitch. I'm gonna
- 54:35Speaker 1: hit from no bag. It just it's just a blessing
- 54:38Speaker 1: to me because I ain't you know when you didn't
- 54:42Speaker 1: grow up just having this in my living room, you know, right?
- 54:45Speaker 1: You mentioned you and Bundle of Brittany had a little
- 54:48Speaker 1: stint on this on the freestyle on a song. Yeah, yeah,
- 54:52Speaker 1: you're on the song I did. Yeah you said, uh
- 54:55Speaker 1: in Woodland Hills you were with Bundle of Brittany and
- 54:58Speaker 1: then she ended up. Okay, what's the She's a sweetheart,
- 55:02Speaker 1: she's a great girl. She's been on the show a
- 55:03Speaker 1: couple of times. What I mean, I feel like with
- 55:06Speaker 1: someone like Britney, she probably gets a worse rep than deserved.
- 55:11Speaker 1: All the good people get the worst reps, all the
- 55:14Speaker 1: good people had a worse reputation. Look at me, that's true,
- 55:18Speaker 1: say the worst shit about me. I think there's just
- 55:20Speaker 1: a lot of misconceptions about you. No, it's the narrative
- 55:24Speaker 1: it's people just say the worst shit about me. I
- 55:26Speaker 1: don't care. Yeah, I'm used to it, so anybody that
- 55:30Speaker 1: I know, I don't judge, So I don't care. Like
- 55:35Speaker 1: what the world say about Bootleg keV, I'm gonna know
- 55:39Speaker 1: how I fuck with him based on how I fuck
- 55:41Speaker 1: with him. Do you think for you, what is the
- 55:45Speaker 1: misconception that maybe doesn't bother you to this day, but
- 55:49Speaker 1: when it comes to your narrative that's out there. I
- 55:51Speaker 1: don't know. I don't even pay attention anymore. I don't care.
- 55:55Speaker 1: It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. It used to. I
- 55:59Speaker 1: used to get upset, like I don't even care. Yeah,
- 56:04Speaker 1: I think like not as many people in an industry
- 56:08Speaker 1: where every time the cameras are on, people have to
- 56:10Speaker 1: get there are good. I feel like every time I
- 56:14Speaker 1: see you, I swear to God, what what I'm saying.
- 56:17Speaker 1: I'm saying like anytime I've ever a dog, every time
- 56:21Speaker 1: I've ever seen you, just period, You're just it's you're
- 56:27Speaker 1: just unapologetically yourself at all time. No, I ain't doing
- 56:29Speaker 1: no apologize. You gotta forgive me because I'm not sorry, right,
- 56:34Speaker 1: I'm not sorry. Well, I don't be sorry with telling
- 56:37Speaker 1: the truth or doing what's true to me. That's real.
- 56:42Speaker 1: I ain't bothering nobody, so high, Like, what's the big deal.
- 56:46Speaker 1: I don't bother nobody. People just find reasons to be
- 56:50Speaker 1: upset with me for no reason. Right, that is real? Man, Yo,
- 56:55Speaker 1: I gotta show you I don't bother nobody I'm talking about.
- 56:59Speaker 1: I just had the big my dog. I got this
- 57:03Speaker 1: bully howld micro exoctic bully. His name Dick. I had
- 57:06Speaker 1: him forever like he was my emotional support animal. But
- 57:10Speaker 1: I guess he left because he felt like, you know,
- 57:15Speaker 1: you don't need me anymore. He passed away. Yeah, that
- 57:19Speaker 1: was like my best friend. I used to tell him
- 57:21Speaker 1: everything he never told us. So you know, I'm a
- 57:24Speaker 1: big dog guy. I got two dogs, so I've had
- 57:26Speaker 1: to bury. I had to bury my English bulldog three
- 57:28Speaker 1: years ago. She had a brain tumor, and uh yeah,
- 57:33Speaker 1: I had to put her to sleep. So I can
- 57:35Speaker 1: only imagine. Man, your dog's name was Dick, though, that's
- 57:37Speaker 1: a great name for a dog. I have a dog
- 57:39Speaker 1: named Larry. Well, his name was really Richard Dick for sure. Yeah,
- 57:45Speaker 1: but he was rich. He just looked rich. That's just
- 57:50Speaker 1: what his name is. I'm a fan of giving dogs
- 57:52Speaker 1: normal names. My dog's name is Larry and jeff. I
- 57:57Speaker 1: have two dogs, Jeffrey Lebowski and Larry David. It's normal names,
- 58:03Speaker 1: you know. It's just it's just the things that that
- 58:05Speaker 1: I go through every day and deal with. Like, nobody
- 58:08Speaker 1: ever asked me how I'm feeling. I don't know. I
- 58:11Speaker 1: just suck it up and roll. I've been doing it
- 58:12Speaker 1: my whole life. But back to the question, like, people,
- 58:18Speaker 1: what have I done. I don't bother nobody. I just
- 58:21Speaker 1: if you don't like it, hey, don't, don't watch, don't consume,
- 58:25Speaker 1: don't Hey I hate I hate his music, don't listen
- 58:28Speaker 1: to it. Cool. Yeah, I didn't do it for you anywhere.
- 58:32Speaker 1: I did it for me. Have you been able to
- 58:34Speaker 1: anytime I've lost the dog, It's been hard for me
- 58:37Speaker 1: to buy a new dog or get a new dog.
- 58:38Speaker 1: Have you moved on and gotten a new animal or No,
- 58:42Speaker 1: I've been. I've been working on myself, like I do yoga, workout,
- 58:48Speaker 1: and I go to the mute studio and make music therapy.
- 58:53Speaker 1: This project no features right, am I tripping because I
- 58:56Speaker 1: feel like I ran through the project and I didn't
- 58:58Speaker 1: hear anything. I reached out to a few people. I
- 59:01Speaker 1: wanted some features, but you know, maybe zero features though right,
- 59:03Speaker 1: maybe they were too busy. Is this your first album
- 59:06Speaker 1: with no features? No, because that because that's something that
- 59:09Speaker 1: we don't see anymore. Everyone's getting features. I don't think
- 59:14Speaker 1: any of my albums ever had features. Uh. I had
- 59:18Speaker 1: p and b Rock on the song, Me and Trey
- 59:22Speaker 1: songs and uh my brother ty Dollars sign. We did
- 59:27Speaker 1: a song together a long, long time ago that was
- 59:30Speaker 1: on the East of Deluxe album it came out, it
- 59:33Speaker 1: wasn't on the original album. I don't think. Don't quote
- 59:36Speaker 1: me on that. Don't quote me people, but yeah, that's
- 59:40Speaker 1: the story of my life. I reached out to some
- 59:41Speaker 1: people for some features though just didn't didn't come together.
- 59:45Speaker 1: Maybe they were too busy. That's interesting, maybe they did that,
- 59:49Speaker 1: you know, I think it's so one of the craziest
- 59:52Speaker 1: things I've seen in a long time. Is I'm not
- 59:55Speaker 1: too crazy because with TikTok things are. You know, the
- 59:59Speaker 1: world's different now. You had this record that came out
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: in twenty thirteen, fourteen, thinking with my dick that has
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: just resurfaced. You guys reworked at the radio. I saw
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: you brought the guy out, the dude with the cup,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: and because it was it was a moment. Yeah, super moment.
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: We had to live that moment together. Yeah, Like how
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: much like when you when you reached out to that guy,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: was he like a fan fan or was he just
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: like a fan of that record? Because that was a
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: that was a that was my brother. That was a
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: great moment, man, that was my brother. Were talking to
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: DM all the time. That's funny and it's like, as
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: my brother, we shared that moment on stage together, that
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: we made history. They can never take that away from me.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: And what was your initial reaction to having something like
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: that go crazy on TikTok, because you know, the TikTok
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: world is so different than the I don't really be
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: on TikTok, Like, I don't know anybody. I mean, besides children,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: I don't know a lot of people. I mean, it's
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: so crazy. I record videos and just send them to
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: your people and they just put them on TikTok. They
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: do it for you. Yeah, you were kind of one
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: of the first artists that embraced having a full time
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: videographer and embraced documenting shit on your YouTube channel. Like
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: because I didn't have a platform, so to say. I guess,
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: so I used to have to be not have to
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: But my way of connecting with people was I used
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: to make the lid clips on Instagram. Yes, this was
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: before stories. This is when you only got like fifteen years.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: They got fifteen seconds and it's a square. Yeah. Those
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: are the good old days. Yeah, No, those were I
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: made up. I'm going to show those are the good
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: old days. Everything's it's just different. No, it's different. It's
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: on steroids. There's no like room. It's crazy because we
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: were just talking. I was just having some conversations with
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: a good friend of mine about who who used to
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: have a residency in Vegas not too long ago, like
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: twenty seventeen, twenty sixteen, and some of the nights that
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: we may or may not have had in Vegas that
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: we're like, yo, that was like four or five years ago,
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: and the shit that we were doing back then we
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: could never do in today's world just because of the
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: fucking social media aspect and how much more magnified everything is.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: That's not true. You can you just can't go on
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: social media and look at it. See I I had
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: got off social media for like a year and a
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: half and I just focused on myself because it was
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: leading to depression. I didn't said this in a lot
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: of interviews. Before I was making comparisons. I was comparing
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: other people's highlight real to my real life, right, and
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: comparison is the killer of our joy. So I wasn't
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: finding my gratitude. But once I got off Instagram, but
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: like the first I think, like the first week, I
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: used to go to my phone and look and check,
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: and I was like, damn, I'm addicted. That's an addiction, man.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: I'm addicted to going look and it's the same pictures
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: over and over again. Most people's first thing they do
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: when they wake up grab their phone and open up
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: g I can't do that because it takes my energy
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: from it. I got to get up and go straight
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: and work out. I can't talk to nobody touch your
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: phone until you're done working out. Well, I got one
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: phone that don't have no apps on it. It got
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: all my music and stuff on that. That's my gym phone. Well,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: that's my most important phone, my list small phone, my
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: other phones. I got all that shit on it. But
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: when I go to sleep, I cut my phones on
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: airplane mode. Because I read that the transmission from the phone,
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: they mess up your melatonin cycles and you don't get
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: the rest that you're supposed to get, so you're not
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: gonna have the energy that you're supposed to have the
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: next day. So I put my phones on airplane mode,
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: and then sometime I forget that on airplane mode, and
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: then you'll be with ring around all day. You'll be like, man, damn,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: I'm tripping quite I missed it. Anything I missed it
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: wasn't meant for me, because anything that's meant for me,
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: it ain't gonna miss me. So anything lost could be
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: found again. Except for time wasted. I didn't waste time today.
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: I didn't get on the phone and talk because if
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: I get on the phone to talk before I go
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: to the gym, I ain't even gonna want to work out.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: And we ain't talking about nothing because you ain't even
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: did nothing but the same shit that you do every day.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: You ain't did nothing spectacular, like we ain't doing nothing spectacling.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: I'm not doing nothing spectac I do the same thing
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: every day. But this is what makes me feel good. Yeah,
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: I've heard that a lot of billionaires, millionaire CEOs that's
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: they have that morning routine where you don't touch your
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: phone until you do something productive, whether it's half practice,
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: my best out, a coffee come when I'm working out
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: my best thoughts. It's something about getting up early in
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: the morning early. I'm up early, maybe three am when
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: you go to bed, then maybe like seven pm, eight pm.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: If I like today, I'm gonna be finished at like six,
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: so I'll probably get in about eight. That's early. But
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna take me a high bad with the salt.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: I got my little my little woo wop, and I'm
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: gonna let my whole body relax. Then I'm gonna lay
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: down and go to sleep and get risks so I
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: can get up and go to the gym and at bad.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: Have you ever done the deprivation tank talking about with
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: the salt. No, it's like a it's like a pod
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: that they put you in. You're in the water with
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: the water with the salt, and you float. Yeah, you float, yeah,
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: and you can't hear a fear, nothing but just your
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: own hour. Have you done that? Have you done it? Yeah?
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: One time it was almost like I was high, but
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: I wasn't high. Like we're in there long enough. It's
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: you start kind of like I wouldn't say hallucinating. You
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: go inward, which it's wild. It's the journey inward. And
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: a lot of people can't sit along with themselves. Yeah,
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: a lot of people can't sit with themselves. It's an
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: intense thing to do. I would suggest everyone should go
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: do it. But what's beautiful is when I'm in my solitude.
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: That's when all of my greatest ideas come. Yeah, I'd
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: be like, you know what, this is what I'm about
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: to call my manager. I call him from the gym
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: all the time. Hey, we about to drop this song.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: We just dropped the song. We about to drop another one.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: Mm Yeah, listen to the album is crazy, the intro.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: I know you just dropped the video for the intro.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: I love the intro. I love how you kicked the
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: album off. Thank you. I try. Yeah. Do you feel
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: like in today's landscape of artists there's another guy who
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: kind of reminds you or gives you the energy of
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: Kevin Gates that's out there. Everybody's great in their own right.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: I don't even look at it like that anymore, but
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: everybody's great in their own right. Whose energy do you
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: appreciate right now a new artist. I don't even listen
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: to a lot of rap, so you gotta forgive me.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: What do you listen to? God? God? Yeah, listen to God.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: He's diamond for sure. Yeah, listen to God. But I
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: listen to a lot of rock and roll, like soft rock, oldiest,
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: not oldiest, but like nineties like rock. So like when
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: you say soft rock nineties like Dave Matthews band, or
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: like I know about Dave Matthew's band, but I like
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: it's And then I'm not a fan of a whole
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: a whole group of people. I'm just a whole collection
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: of the music. It's just like certain songs like say
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: if I'm jogging, it's gonna be one of my playlists.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: Started I took her out, it was a Friday night
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: like that. Then it might go from there to I shunned.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: Then what haven't you people ever heard of closing the
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: goddamn door. No, it's much better to face these sources
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: of things with the supportality. Panic down this panic at
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: the disco, at the disco. So it's just my my
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: playlist is weird, yo, Who I would have never have
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: thought that you're a panic at the disco blinking two guys.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: I like their wordplay panic at the I like they were.
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: That was a great era of rock. I like Green
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: Day too. Green Days great. Another turning point of Fox
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: took in the road I can't grass your bottle or
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: it is direct. You heard her go tattoos and memories
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: there last then on trial Forward is worth. It was
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: worth all out, something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: I hope you have the time of It's just I
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: don't know, It's just it's like when you running you
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: get lost, because it's like you just get lost, yo'
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: I'm weird. You're listen. Gree that the biggest bands ever.
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: They had a you know, Green Day had a Broadway
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: play for like five years about one of their albums.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: So that's uh, that's that's that's dope. But it's just
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: it's just like when I'm on a trier mill running,
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: it's like, that's that we're going the distance. Have you
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: ever experienced any of that music live as a fan?
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: H one time? One time, who'd you see live? Oh?
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: I forgot? I was at this Atlantic party and the
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: dude was up there playing to get to and everything.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: It wasn't it shearing? He was It was another dude,
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: but he played the guitar. He played every instrument and
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: sang and I was like, man, this fly. I don't
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: even remember his name. Some want to. I got a
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: home in you know Tech nine from Kansas City. If
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: you say his name, like to the what you call
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: the people that that uh that the it people, the
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: cool people, they won't know who he is. But if
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: you say his name in a room just random, like
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: just say of random people, everybody will know who Tech
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: nine is. You know who showed me how to do
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: my merch. Travis and Tech nine strange music. They're the
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: merch gods and they got they the truth like but
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: like it like the IT people try to act like
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: you know, I don't know. But if you say his name,
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: like in a random room full of people, just they're
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: just no. Yeah, they're fully vertical like no other company
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: that's independent. They own all the buses, they own all
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: they own all the prints. I can hear Travis now, man, yeah, man,
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: you know you start doing the merch. Kevin, you know
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: what I'm saying. You fuck around and beating paid for
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: the whole tour just off merch for you go on
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: the road. He's right, they got their own You ever
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: been to the combo, I've been. I've seen it all.
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: They got their own city, they got it all. They
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: got thrown car wash, they got their own No, it's crazy.
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: And then the merch thing is like like you said, like,
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: if you go to a tech show, anything you can
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: put a strange music logo on, it's for sale. They
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: got they got it all. Yeah, quarter bottle, But I
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: was saying tech. He told me one thing he does.
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: He's like, I'll go to a city that's low key
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: to experience music as a fan. So if a band
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: I like, and I told him that's what I always
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: wanted to do. Yeah, go somewhere and watch a concert
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: as a fan. Yeah, He's like, me and my girl
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: will hit the road. If there's a band I want
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: to see, I'll find the most obscure city that they're
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: performing in and just go enjoy the show. Like, because
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: it's kind of hard to enjoy shit as a fan anymore.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: Like if you're on his level, you're on your level.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. You put that corona mass on,
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: throw that mask, and throw that poosh heisty on and
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: you're good man. Well listen the album drops. What's out now?
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: This is gonna be out by the time the album
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: comes out. Great body of work? Anything else you got coming? Uh?
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: I don't have anything coming up with my tour, but
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: cos if you don't have it, go get it. If
