- 0:09Speaker 1: Vibe. Welcome to Thing Naughty but nic show. I'm your host, Shooter,
- 0:17Speaker 1: and it is Wednesday, which means our dear friend Donnie
- 0:20Speaker 1: Beach joins us. Hey, Donnie, are you there? A little hello?
- 0:26Speaker 2: Somebody has to join this show with decent hair looking
- 0:30Speaker 2: a fool.
- 0:31Speaker 1: You look great a haircut? Oh? I did? Actually, I well,
- 0:36Speaker 1: this is what happens.
- 0:36Speaker 2: The barber I go to. He's fabulous. He talks a
- 0:39Speaker 2: little too much for it, but you know, and that's
- 0:41Speaker 2: coming from me, you know whatever. So then he does
- 0:44Speaker 2: this egg where he doesn't really ask me what I want.
- 0:45Speaker 2: I just sit down and sometimes he decides to cut
- 0:48Speaker 2: four inches off and sometimes he decides to cut nothing.
- 0:50Speaker 2: It just all depends. And this time he decided to
- 0:52Speaker 2: cut a lot and I was like, okay, five or
- 0:53Speaker 2: six inches, it's sure.
- 0:55Speaker 1: I like it, very Katie, l very.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Very d. We have to talk about so we've known
- 1:04Speaker 2: it for a long time. It's gonna be your first story.
- 1:07Speaker 2: We knew miss Markle was listening to the show. We
- 1:09Speaker 2: did because remember last week I talked about it some
- 1:12Speaker 2: some something, and now all of a sudden, it all
- 1:13Speaker 2: some some some.
- 1:14Speaker 1: You would be shocked, and I'm not confirming or denying.
- 1:17Speaker 1: If Beggar Markle listens to our show, sort of confirming.
- 1:20Speaker 1: But what I do know is a ton of celebrities
- 1:23Speaker 1: do listen to a study. It's really fun. And you
- 1:26Speaker 1: know why. I know because if I say one thing
- 1:28Speaker 1: they don't like, they're very quick to text me, mister
- 1:31Speaker 1: rob Day, what do you think about? That's the thing
- 1:33Speaker 1: to look like? You said?
- 1:34Speaker 2: It's it's a pinching out of punch because trust me,
- 1:36Speaker 2: I could be as shady as I'm not mean.
- 1:39Speaker 1: You're not mean. You've never been mean. That's why I
- 1:41Speaker 1: really love you. Like it's easy to be mean, and
- 1:44Speaker 1: it's hard. It hard to be naughty but nice. It
- 1:47Speaker 1: really is. My meanest friends and I have a lot
- 1:51Speaker 1: I'm really entertaining. My nicest friends can be a little
- 1:55Speaker 1: bit dull. So it's it's finding that balance. And I
- 1:58Speaker 1: think that's what the success of this show is. We
- 2:00Speaker 1: are naughty, but we are niceless. Jump in what time
- 2:03Speaker 1: is it? My friends? And else tisig story at the
- 2:06Speaker 1: top of the show. So Meghan Markle was listening to
- 2:08Speaker 1: our show. Obviously she's rebranding her company. So remember this
- 2:12Speaker 1: long American riviera orchard. Donnie it's a terrible name. You
- 2:16Speaker 1: said it fifty times. Well, she is no longer calling
- 2:19Speaker 1: her company that it is, got a new name, brand
- 2:22Speaker 1: new name. It's called as Ever, I'm not sure about
- 2:26Speaker 1: that either. So the reason happened is not just that
- 2:30Speaker 1: Donnie did not like the name, although I'm sure that's
- 2:32Speaker 1: a good fifty to sixty percent of it. She couldn't
- 2:34Speaker 1: get the copyright, so Megan tried to get this copyright.
- 2:38Speaker 1: It's really really hard to trademark something, particularly a place,
- 2:42Speaker 1: because she does not own the place. It belongs to
- 2:45Speaker 1: the whole world, and so she didn't get the trademark.
- 2:49Speaker 1: She thought it, they pushed back. Ultimately, Now she's changed
- 2:54Speaker 1: the name, and she's done this because her brand really
- 2:56Speaker 1: does launch in just a few weeks with her Netflix show.
- 3:00Speaker 1: So Megan's not telling the entire truth here. She's saying
- 3:04Speaker 1: that one of the reasons that she's changed the name
- 3:07Speaker 1: is that her posh Monticita lifestyle she would she would
- 3:13Speaker 1: have to have everything related to Montecito in order to
- 3:16Speaker 1: get that copyright. Trademark restrictions forcing her to rethink the
- 3:22Speaker 1: entire brand. Not quite so true. Had she been approved,
- 3:26Speaker 1: it would be called American Riviera Orchard. It was not
- 3:29Speaker 1: approved and now it's called as ever, as as E
- 3:35Speaker 1: V E R as ever. What does that mean to do?
- 3:37Speaker 2: I mean, we all know the saying as if, which
- 3:40Speaker 2: is a very A lot of people say it's as if.
- 3:42Speaker 2: So the thing as ever it definitely rolls off the
- 3:45Speaker 2: tongue a little better. In the America, Riviera or Chad,
- 3:48Speaker 2: it just sounds so oh, it sounds so highful loot.
- 3:51Speaker 2: It sounds like you're going to go all lads, some
- 3:53Speaker 2: goop on your face and sit there with Jeff Bezos
- 3:56Speaker 2: and just hang out at the at the spa.
- 3:59Speaker 1: They can't do it.
- 3:59Speaker 2: But here's the thing I'm interested about. Because the show
- 4:03Speaker 2: with Netflix, it has to have already been produced.
- 4:06Speaker 1: It's done.
- 4:07Speaker 2: So that's the thing I'm really interested in is we're
- 4:10Speaker 2: none of the products.
- 4:12Speaker 1: In the show.
- 4:13Speaker 2: It's night behind the scenes thing.
- 4:14Speaker 1: This has got to be.
- 4:15Speaker 2: She's got to throw her team into a telspace at night.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Now. All the labeling has to be changed, All millions
- 4:23Speaker 1: has to be changed. The products that are in the
- 4:26Speaker 1: show have now got to be changed too. They've got
- 4:29Speaker 1: to go in and do Reshits is so expensive. Everything
- 4:33Speaker 1: they do is so difficult also too, they have rebranded
- 4:37Speaker 1: the website. To change your website is pretty easy, actually,
- 4:40Speaker 1: so they've changed that. But what they've done, which some
- 4:43Speaker 1: people are saying is a little bit suspicious. Is this
- 4:45Speaker 1: a rare shot of her daughter, Princess Lilbert, who's three,
- 4:49Speaker 1: walking barefoot alongside her mummy on the promotional materials. Now,
- 4:54Speaker 1: some people are saying she's leveraging her kid for pr
- 4:58Speaker 1: I guess some people are saying that she always says
- 5:00Speaker 1: she wants privacy for these children, and now that she's
- 5:03Speaker 1: got a company launching in a few weeks pop. Guess
- 5:05Speaker 1: who were looking at Oh, it's complicated. It I wish
- 5:09Speaker 1: they had better advisors. Study. I just wish they had
- 5:13Speaker 1: people around them who were better. Listen. We know a
- 5:16Speaker 1: lot of really maybe, how can I put this delicately,
- 5:20Speaker 1: incompetent people who run big businesses. Maybe we've worked for
- 5:23Speaker 1: one or two of them, but they surround themselves with
- 5:27Speaker 1: really good people. There's nobody around Harry and Meghan except Netflix.
- 5:33Speaker 1: I'm told Netflix were the ones that really put their
- 5:36Speaker 1: foot down and said, Megan, you're launching a brand. We're
- 5:38Speaker 1: launching a big thing in three four weeks. We got
- 5:41Speaker 1: to get this copyright, this trademark done. It's got to
- 5:43Speaker 1: be done. And it's because of them that she's decided
- 5:47Speaker 1: to finally admit bad name wasn't gonna work. You're not
- 5:49Speaker 1: getting the copyright. I know you were used to being
- 5:52Speaker 1: told yes, you were married to a prince. He's definitely
- 5:55Speaker 1: used to being told yes. Nobody told him no for
- 5:58Speaker 1: over thirty Yes. Now they're not messing about not not
- 6:02Speaker 1: getting the name, so they have changed it once again
- 6:05Speaker 1: to as Ever. I'm told she was a little bit
- 6:07Speaker 1: inspired by Sarah Jessica Parker, just like that, but I
- 6:11Speaker 1: don't know if it's quite the same. Shouldn't you just
- 6:14Speaker 1: call it Meghan? Isn't that what she's selling. She's ultimately
- 6:16Speaker 1: selling Meghan here. She's not selling us really fantastic quality
- 6:21Speaker 1: products like a Marcas Stuart. You would buy those towels,
- 6:23Speaker 1: regardless they're the best howels. Calvin Klein, I would argue,
- 6:26Speaker 1: would buy his underwear even if he didn't say Calvin
- 6:28Speaker 1: clin on it, Meghan. The only reason I'm even going
- 6:31Speaker 1: to try the jam is because it's yours. So maybe
- 6:34Speaker 1: you should just call it Meghan, which brings us to
- 6:36Speaker 1: our pole question. Of the Day. Meghan Markel has rebranded
- 6:40Speaker 1: her website with the new name of the company, featuring
- 6:42Speaker 1: a very rare snapshot of her daughter, Princess Lilbert, who's three.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Is this cute or is this a pr stunt? Cute
- 6:51Speaker 1: or pere stunt? Hey, you go vote on our Twitter
- 6:54Speaker 1: page at Naughty Nice rob Our facebook page is Naughty
- 6:57Speaker 1: Gossip and be sure to check back to am our Auto.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Here your results. Hey, Donny Love, what are you working on?
- 7:03Speaker 2: Marco Sparkle was taken like Marco Sparkle that boom?
- 7:08Speaker 1: Call it it's boom.
- 7:08Speaker 2: It's done, Michael Sparkle. Yes, Megan, you're listening at that
- 7:13Speaker 2: could be your vodka?
- 7:14Speaker 1: Do it?
- 7:15Speaker 2: It's your sparkling Rose at it?
- 7:16Speaker 1: You're done? Fabulous.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I want temper out of probot. Wendy Williams, Oh, it
- 7:21Speaker 2: just keeps getting sad, all this stuff coming out, and
- 7:24Speaker 2: it really is all the news coming out.
- 7:25Speaker 1: She's like begging to get out.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Of this conservative ship. But then you hear these stories
- 7:30Speaker 2: like we weren't about to tell you that is just
- 7:32Speaker 2: should she So she was moved in her assisted living facility.
- 7:38Speaker 2: She was originally on the third floor, but then she
- 7:40Speaker 2: was moved to a memory unit, and people thought it
- 7:44Speaker 2: was because of her dementia diagnosis.
- 7:46Speaker 1: No no, no, no, no no.
- 7:47Speaker 2: In true Windy fashion, she went up to the rooftop
- 7:50Speaker 2: bar and she sat there and she had a few rocks,
- 7:53Speaker 2: and she had a few drinks and she just sat
- 7:55Speaker 2: there and she got drunk. And it sent the whole
- 7:58Speaker 2: facility into a tailsp because if a number thick and
- 8:02Speaker 2: she was also supposed to be its sobriety is you're
- 8:05Speaker 2: supposed to be a little sober.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Until it's not a good it's just really really sad.
- 8:11Speaker 2: And you know, people told TMZ that the supervisors were
- 8:15Speaker 2: furious that she was even served alcohol. That should serve
- 8:19Speaker 2: the waiter. First of all, what kind of facility do
- 8:21Speaker 2: you have that's a rooftop bar? That to me is interesting,
- 8:24Speaker 2: alex plain they know who Windy Williams is.
- 8:27Speaker 1: It's very close. She's on ten pounds year where I live,
- 8:30Speaker 1: and she's in the thirties. I'm in the twenties, so
- 8:32Speaker 1: I know this building very well. It was built as
- 8:34Speaker 1: a luxury hotel for Hudson Yards, but they couldn't rent
- 8:37Speaker 1: the rooms at so I think you know, when they
- 8:39Speaker 1: over develop and they want to sell all these condocs
- 8:41Speaker 1: and they can't sell them, and then they are apartments.
- 8:44Speaker 1: So this was designed as a real luxury hotel, maybe apartments,
- 8:48Speaker 1: and so now with apartments should get gyms and swimming pools,
- 8:51Speaker 1: and you get private clubs. So this has a luxury
- 8:53Speaker 1: bar on the top floor. I've actually been to this bar.
- 8:57Speaker 1: They couldn't sell the thirty floors below it. They turned
- 9:00Speaker 1: it into assisted living. It's a luxury place like an
- 9:04Speaker 1: old people's home. And then they rent some rooms out
- 9:07Speaker 1: to facilities. So they've rented this room to the company
- 9:11Speaker 1: that is looking after Wendy Williams. And you're right. She
- 9:14Speaker 1: was on the third floor. I used to wave to
- 9:16Speaker 1: her through the window on the third floor. They've moved
- 9:18Speaker 1: her up to the fifth floor, which now the fifth
- 9:20Speaker 1: floor you can't get in and out. It's a closed floor.
- 9:23Speaker 1: It's like being, I guess, in a hospital. Wendy would
- 9:26Speaker 1: say at the prison. Wendy's going to make bad choices.
- 9:29Speaker 1: This is where I get really into this though. Aren't
- 9:34Speaker 1: we all allowed to make bad choices? I would argue, Wendy,
- 9:37Speaker 1: if you're listening Gallowa Love alone, make good choices until
- 9:40Speaker 1: you're out of the conservatorship and then try to make
- 9:43Speaker 1: good choices. But if you don't, you're out of the conservatorship.
- 9:46Speaker 1: You gotta suck it up for a few more months
- 9:49Speaker 1: to get rid of this conservatorship. Britney Speers had to
- 9:53Speaker 1: do this too, thirteen years. It took her. And so
- 9:55Speaker 1: will Wendy make horrible decisions? Wants this conservatorship? So yes, absolutely,
- 10:00Speaker 1: But it's her money. She's a grown adult at fifty
- 10:04Speaker 1: nine years old. If she wants to go and get
- 10:06Speaker 1: drunk in the afternoon with all her money, you know,
- 10:08Speaker 1: is the worst thing. She's not murdering anybody, she's not
- 10:11Speaker 1: hurting anybody. Some people would say she's hurting herself, but
- 10:14Speaker 1: I think that's her choice. And so the last time
- 10:18Speaker 1: friends of mine spoke to Wendy, they said, she's back.
- 10:21Speaker 1: She's the old Wendy. She's still self destructive, she's still
- 10:24Speaker 1: going to make terrible decisions, but she's not. She doesn't
- 10:28Speaker 1: have dementia. She might forget some stuff, but she's not.
- 10:32Speaker 1: She's never in that place where she needs help. I
- 10:34Speaker 1: think she was a couple of years ago. The last
- 10:35Speaker 1: time I was out with her on a night time,
- 10:38Speaker 1: she remember that it was not a good experience, and
- 10:42Speaker 1: I'm glad that she got that help, but I think
- 10:44Speaker 1: it's now time for her to try again and live
- 10:46Speaker 1: her life. Donnie, it's so dangerous if we start taking
- 10:50Speaker 1: away people's rights because we think they're making bad decisions.
- 10:54Speaker 1: How are you have America should have their decisions rethought,
- 10:58Speaker 1: like we all make I make bad decison, She's just
- 11:00Speaker 1: done that you do, But I don't lose my bank account.
- 11:02Speaker 1: I don't lose the right to make that decision. Do
- 11:05Speaker 1: you agree with me or do you think here it's
- 11:07Speaker 1: better for her to stay unto the conservatorship?
- 11:09Speaker 2: No, because I think here's the thing is, like we've
- 11:13Speaker 2: known Wendy before, and she was always a little bit
- 11:16Speaker 2: of a mess like being honest, but that's just who
- 11:19Speaker 2: Wendy was. And it's sad because you watch rerun to
- 11:22Speaker 2: the old show and you're like, she's just she's this fabulous, fussy,
- 11:27Speaker 2: messy woman who is just speaking her mind and that's okay. Yes,
- 11:30Speaker 2: but she's always been like that. The problem I have
- 11:33Speaker 2: with conservatorships is, especially with the Wendy situation, is she
- 11:37Speaker 2: wasn't actually hurting anybody. Yes, she did lose her show
- 11:39Speaker 2: over being a little messy, but whatever we thought her
- 11:43Speaker 2: prerogative could. She could have got another one in a
- 11:45Speaker 2: minute if she really tried to. But the problem is
- 11:48Speaker 2: that people who throw you into conservatorship are just trying
- 11:52Speaker 2: to protect the money that you're making them. And so
- 11:55Speaker 2: that's where I have.
- 11:56Speaker 1: The problem with it. And you pay for these conservatorships.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Waite's paying for this, so each a minimum submits a bill,
- 12:03Speaker 1: so they have invested a financial incentive to keep the
- 12:08Speaker 1: conservators ship going. It's not stealing. They are allowed to
- 12:11Speaker 1: take a certain amount of money that is approved by
- 12:14Speaker 1: the court, and it's quite lucrative. If I became your conservator, Donnie,
- 12:18Speaker 1: I would bill them every month and I wouldn't do
- 12:21Speaker 1: very much work, but I'd take that money until it
- 12:22Speaker 1: all ran out. And that's what Wendy and Wendy's friends
- 12:25Speaker 1: are are frightened about here. If anyone's going to take
- 12:28Speaker 1: Wendy's money, I'd rather it be her son than some
- 12:31Speaker 1: stranger living in Connecticut. Even if her son is maybe
- 12:35Speaker 1: not the best with financial deals. It's still a blood relative.
- 12:39Speaker 1: If anyone was going to steal from me, I'd rather
- 12:41Speaker 1: it be Bruce than somebody that the court ordered in
- 12:45Speaker 1: charge of my life. It makes me so angry about
- 12:48Speaker 1: this one. But Wendy, you're not helping yourself to go
- 12:51Speaker 1: to the roof to get wasted.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Put a little flask in your purse, suited, don't got
- 12:58Speaker 2: up there and don't come on s Marto, Wendy.
- 13:00Speaker 1: He's smart. And then once this conservatorship is over, then
- 13:03Speaker 1: you can go to as many rooftop bars as you want.
- 13:05Speaker 1: I'm not recommending it, but no, okay, living on another
- 13:09Speaker 1: bad decision. Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are being called
- 13:12Speaker 1: a PR disaster for turning up at SNL, saying that
- 13:14Speaker 1: this is just not a good look. So PR professionals
- 13:17Speaker 1: are talking out about this, saying that this is in
- 13:19Speaker 1: the middle of a sexual harassment lawsuit. So on the show,
- 13:24Speaker 1: Amy Poehler and Tina Fey asked Ryan how you doing,
- 13:27Speaker 1: and then they replied with some jokes and it's sort
- 13:30Speaker 1: of was a little bit awkward. He talked about this yesterday.
- 13:33Speaker 1: People are saying, Hollywood insiders, this is not a time
- 13:36Speaker 1: for jokes. Blake's lawsuit is serious and the whole thing
- 13:39Speaker 1: felt tone death. Another person said Blake should be protecting
- 13:43Speaker 1: herself legally, right now, not walking red carpets like nothing happened.
- 13:48Speaker 1: It should be pointed out that Justin Baldoni has remained
- 13:50Speaker 1: completely silent. He has not been doing this stuff. He hasn't,
- 13:56Speaker 1: and I think that's gonna help him because anything she says,
- 14:00Speaker 1: anythink Ryan says, can be brought into the court as evidence,
- 14:05Speaker 1: and this is gonna make it look frivolous. If I
- 14:08Speaker 1: was Justin's lawyer, I would show this tape in court
- 14:12Speaker 1: and say, oh, it's funny, Ryan, Is it funny that
- 14:14Speaker 1: your wife was sexually harapped? Like, oh, this can get this.
- 14:18Speaker 1: This is a bad choice. They shouldn't have gone. What
- 14:20Speaker 1: do you think all right now?
- 14:22Speaker 2: Look, I'm a little on the other side of this.
- 14:25Speaker 2: I do think it's a bad choice that Amy and Tina,
- 14:29Speaker 2: you know, flipped to him with a joke. I think
- 14:31Speaker 2: that that was that's a bad choice.
- 14:33Speaker 1: And let me just I'm told he knew it was coming,
- 14:36Speaker 1: he had a mic on it was, he was ready
- 14:38Speaker 1: for it. This was staged, I know.
- 14:40Speaker 2: I just I feel like that part was bad. But
- 14:42Speaker 2: also I feel like, are the two of them just
- 14:44Speaker 2: supposed to now die into oblivion? Like are they supposed
- 14:48Speaker 2: to just not live? Their lives because of an incident
- 14:51Speaker 2: that happened, but a very private incident that should have
- 14:55Speaker 2: remained private in lawsuits, because most lawsuits are supposed to
- 14:58Speaker 2: remain old under wraps.
- 14:59Speaker 1: You're to know.
- 15:00Speaker 2: But of course, because it's celebrity, it was out there
- 15:03Speaker 2: and now it's a huge deal.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Are they supposed to just not live like that? I
- 15:08Speaker 1: hear you, I do hear your, Donna, But let me
- 15:10Speaker 1: push back a little bit for you. It's not like
- 15:12Speaker 1: everybody had to go to the SNL party. He was
- 15:14Speaker 1: not a cast member, he was never really part of
- 15:17Speaker 1: that show. He's hosted it, and so it wasn't as if,
- 15:20Speaker 1: gosh he if Blake and Ryan hadn't showed up, I
- 15:24Speaker 1: don't think we'd all be like, where were they? Where
- 15:26Speaker 1: were they? Also too, let's point out he was married
- 15:29Speaker 1: to Scarlett Johansson who is now married to Colin Joe
- 15:31Speaker 1: since she was on the show, so that was a
- 15:33Speaker 1: little bit awkward too. So I don't think they had
- 15:36Speaker 1: to go to this event. I don't think it was
- 15:38Speaker 1: that important if it was a dead Pool premiere or
- 15:41Speaker 1: something that Ryan is really really part of the main
- 15:45Speaker 1: part of I get it, But you're like, Donnie, tonight,
- 15:48Speaker 1: do you and me really have to go out and
- 15:49Speaker 1: have dinner tonight? No, so I would argue, stay home
- 15:53Speaker 1: a little bit. Get this behind you. Okay, We're going
- 15:56Speaker 1: to take a quick break and we will be right back.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Welcome back to the naughty but nic shom your hostrop
- 16:02Speaker 1: shooter of their dear friend, Donny Meecham. Hey, Donnie, let's
- 16:04Speaker 1: get to the poles. That's how we talked about the
- 16:08Speaker 1: Princess of Wales putting your foot down against the very
- 16:10Speaker 1: controversial hunting tradition within the royal family. They kill their
- 16:14Speaker 1: first fox and they smear the blood on the faces
- 16:18Speaker 1: of the young hunters. Well, Kita said, absolutely not. This
- 16:23Speaker 1: is not happening. Archie is not doing this, Charlotte's not
