  And the hack number one is a repentance test. You ready for this?

  Compare every Jesus that you think that you know. You might be telling,

  what are you talking about, Lisa? Every Jesus.

  There's just some Jesus out there and they're idols. And I'm going to prove

  it to you in the word of God.

  Every Jesus that you hear about or you think you follow, compare it to Luke 13, three and five.

  Jesus himself said, unless you repent, you're going to perish.

  So people that preach a Jesus to you that doesn't want you to repent,

  that's okay with drinking and sinning and sexing and all that stuff, that's not a real Jesus.

  That's a cultural, counterfeit, jacked up, imaginary Jesus.

  All right? When Jesus said this, he wasn't talking to the worst of the sinners.

  He was actually talking to religious people.

  So you have to repent or you too can go to hell.

  There's this brand new song out. It's by, I think his name's Brandon Lake,

  but he's like, what do you say? The Jesus I know or some dumb crap.

  And he said, I used to think if I was smoking, drinking, or cussing,

  I was on a train to hell. Yeah, because the Bible says that.

  The Bible says if you don't repent, you're going to perish.

  Read the actual Bible. Know the real Jesus of the Bible.

  The real Jesus of the gospel, he says, repent and believe the gospels.

  There was a woman caught in the act of adultery, and when she was thrown down

  at his feet, it's true, he said, I don't condemn you.

  But he didn't stop there. He said, go and sin no more. What's that mean?

  It means don't sin, whatever it is, don't do it anymore.

  It's bondage and you need to get out. Jesus didn't die on a cross so you could

  stay in bondage. That doesn't make any sense.

  All right. Hack number two, the idol audit. Is the Jesus you're serving an idol?

  But if you've got a cuddly comfort Jesus, that's like a comfort support animal

  Jesus, that's not Jesus.

  That's an idol you built up in your own brain. Look, there's only one me.

  I hope you like me. But if you don't, there's still only one of me.

  And if you don't know me, you don't know me. And if someone said,

  So you either know Jesus or you don't, but you can't make up a Jesus that doesn't

  So most of us, we don't worship a golden calf. We don't worship,

  but we do worship this cuddly Jesus that never existed.

  So here's a 60 second audit that you can do every day.

  Close your eyes and say, Is the Jesus that I'm talking to right now my Lord

  or just an emotional support Jesus?

  The real Jesus said, why do you call me Lord and don't do what I say?

  And that's in your Bible, friend, Luke 6, 46. And you might be thinking,

  I don't know about this godly hack. Well, let me tell you something.

  I can teach you about money, about healing, about health and wealth and a good
• 4:05
  relationship. But if you don't get this part down, none of the rest of it matters.

  This is the godly hack for wealth. This is the godly hack for success.

  This is the godly hack to make sure when your tiny life is over in about 80
• 4:17
  years, you don't go to hell forever.

  Which people are at risk of doing. Jesus said, don't call me Lord if you don't

  do what I say. I follow Jesus, but they're smoking and drinking and cussing.

  No, you don't, because Jesus doesn't do any of that stuff.

  This might be a hard reality. Maybe no preacher loves you enough to tell you
• 4:35
  this, but I love you enough to tell you.

  If you tell me that you follow Jesus, but you're getting drunk and you're cussing
• 4:41
  and smoking and stuff, you don't follow Jesus. You might as well just wake up and realize it now.

  Better for me to tell you now than you to end up in hell, isn't it? Yeah, it is.

  He said, if anyone comes after me, deny yourself, take up your cross daily, Luke 9, 23.

  So if your Jesus only shows up when you need comfort, but not conviction.

  He's an emotionally support animal.

  And that's not a real Jesus. So be brutally honest, because on judgment day,

  Jesus is not gonna say, well, I felt close to this version that you created.

  He's going to say, depart from me, I don't know you.

  People will call him Lord, but they don't do what he says. Well, then he's not your Lord.

  So you need to, every morning, like for 60 seconds, ask yourself,

  is Jesus my Lord? Or does he comfort what I do?

  If he's your Lord, he's gonna call you out from stuff.

  He's gonna tell you not to have sex outside of marriage. He's gonna tell you
• 5:31
  to quit drinking because that stuff is bondage.

  But if he's just an emotional support animal, then you've created a idol that

  doesn't exist. All right, hack three.

  Grace without license. Romans 6, the hack is, what about this grace thing?

  If this grace tells you to stay in sin, it's not from God.

  I know I'm flying through this shell, but I already did this whole broadcast. I'm just frustrated.

  Paul said in Romans 6, What shall we say? Shall we continue in sin that grace can abound? God forbid.

  Real grace doesn't make sin safer. It makes you dead to it.

  You were crucified with Christ. The old Jew is dead.

  Grace isn't get-out-of-jail-free card. It's the power to live holy.

  When the misfit of grace whispers, just do it, God will forgive you later. Remember Romans 6.

  We died to sin. How can we live in it any longer? That's the hack.

  The next time temptation comes and hits your flesh and you say grace will cover

  it, say, no, I died to that. I'm not going to do it.

  Grace that leaves you in sin isn't grace at all. It's a counterfeit gospel.

  It's a counterfeit Jesus. It's an idol Jesus that you built up in your head that doesn't exist.

  In hack four, the culture filter. You can enjoy songs, you can worship,
• 6:51
  you can listen to a preacher, but you have to put it in the filter of the word.

  The song that we're talking about, or I'm talking about, if it sounds good,

  but it's emotional, it's not truly what the Bible says, then it's no good.

  Before you let any song, movie, or viral preacher define who Jesus is for you,

  please, go through the Bible yourself.

  Ask yourself, does this Jesus demand repentance?

  Then he's not Jesus, Luke 13. Does this Jesus demand lordship,

  Luke 9? Then he's not Jesus.

  Does this Jesus empower you or excuse you to sin? Then that's not Jesus.

  And if it fails any one of these tests, you can enjoy the music,

  but don't let that music disciple you.

  The Bible says in the book of Acts 17, it talks about the Bereans.

  And he said that of the Bereans, they searched the scriptures daily to see if

  they were true. So the next time a song comes up, don't just vibe it,

  test it according to your faith.

  Lord have mercy. Why am I telling you this?

  Because a lot of people serve this non-repenting Jesus.

  He doesn't tell anybody to repent. They serve this idol Jesus.

  They've created a Jesus in their mind, and it's not even the real one.

  They think grace covers everything, and that's not true. You know,

  It's not good at all. In this song, it's The Jesus I Know. I think that's what

  it's called, The Jesus I Know.

  Yeah, The Jesus I Know Now. That's what it's called. All right.

  So it says, I was told he'd saved me if I showed up to church and I shut my

  mouth. First of all, no one told you that, you big fat liar.

  No one told you to shut your mouth. Come on. It's like constantly putting the church down.

  Like the church is just so stupid. We just tell people to, it's ridiculous. That's just demonic.

  I was told if I smoke, if I drank, if I cussed, I was on a long black train

  to hell. Yeah, because Jesus said that.

  Jesus said, repent or perish. That's in the Bible, my friend.

  It's in the scriptures. And then it said the Jesus I know ain't running away from a party crowd.

  Yeah, no. Jesus hung with the apostles. He hung with 12 men that he poured his

  And Jesus also didn't hang with a bunch of drunkards or anything.

  They said, why does he eat with the tax collectors? Well, he was having a dinner with them.

  And then he told them all to repent. And then he got up from the table and he

  walked onto the next city and he told them to repent.

  And he told the people after them, but there is a culture of Christianity that

  wants to hold up a big fist, a big middle fill, really, honestly,

  and I don't normally say this, other preachers say this, but there's a culture,

  a counterfeit Jesus that wants to hold up a middle finger to the Bible.

  Honestly, it's like you wanna say.

  God, forgive me right now for saying this, but it's like you wanna say,

  F you, I'm gonna do what I want.

  And that is not the gospel. The gospel makes you change.

  If you're not going to change, you're not following Christ and that's your godly hack today.

  Because again, I can teach you money principles, health principles and whatever.

  But if you serve a counterfeit Jesus, forget it.

  Nothing else will work. And there's only one Jesus in 90% of the Christians.

  Now he loves you. He loves you enough to say, hey, that crap you're doing, don't do it anymore.

  mess up and she's gonna tell your wife and you're gonna lose everything.

  Please don't serve a counterfeit Jesus. When the real one is so good,

  the real one is so merciful, the real one is so holy, and the real one came

  to earth to tell you, hey, screw up. You don't have to screw up anymore.

  I love you. I died so you can live right.

  I died so you don't have to do drugs. You don't have to get drunk.

  You don't have to have sex outside of marriage. But these Christians that argue,

  well, I'm just who I am and Jesus loves me the way I am.

  Yeah, he loves you the way you are, but he's telling you to change,

  just like he told Paul the apostle.

  Paul the apostle did not get to keep being a murderer. Paul,

  And you're no longer a drunkard. You're no longer a porn addict.

  You're no longer any of those goofy things because you asked the real Jesus,

  not the Jesus you created in your mind, not the idol Jesus, not the cultural

  Jesus, not the counterfeit Jesus, the real one.

  And I love you enough to tell you, serve the real one. Be holy like he's holy. Come to him.

  I'm going to live. He's going to be Lord over my life.

  Look, there's only one Lord. Either you're going to be Lord or he's going to

  be Lord, but he's not going to share the space.

  So your godly hack for today is this. Make him Lord.

  Kick that counterfeit Jesus out and serve the real one, my friend.

  He loves you. He died to set you free.

  He died on a cross to make you holy, and you can do it.

  So let's pray this prayer. Father, I will no longer serve a counterfeit Jesus.

  I thank you that I'm changed.

  I will deny myself. I will follow You.

  I will not walk in sin anymore. I won't serve a golden calf,

  a golden pig, or a fake Jesus. I serve the real Jesus.

  And then say this, Jesus, I repent for creating my own God.

  Please forgive me and show me who you really are. If you said that, you're on a path.
