- 0:00Speaker 1: Let's go doctor Chris Brown. Here, let's go. Here we go.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Doctor Chris Brown is joining us live this morning. Good morning,
- 0:06Speaker 2: May morning, guys, Chris. You're really busy. You're traveling the world,
- 0:10Speaker 2: You're doing bloody tea V. Do you have time to
- 0:13Speaker 2: still be a vet or does it that's not really happen.
- 0:15Speaker 3: I make time. I still I still get in there.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Obviously not I'm not full time, but I'm still in there,
- 0:23Speaker 3: and I enjoy it. I actually enjoy getting there. And
- 0:26Speaker 3: I do it also because that's what I trained to do,
- 0:30Speaker 3: but I do it for the reactions that I get
- 0:33Speaker 3: from the clients.
- 0:35Speaker 4: Clients come in with the dogs.
- 0:37Speaker 3: They never they never really expect to be there, to
- 0:40Speaker 3: be there, and and so you get some really great responses.
- 0:44Speaker 3: So the other day I was I was there and
- 0:47Speaker 3: and so I just finished seeing this this guy's dog
- 0:49Speaker 3: and you know, vaccinating it, worming at the rest of it.
- 0:53Speaker 3: And he was like, so, what's some what's next for you?
- 0:57Speaker 1: Like a pood?
- 1:00Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:00Speaker 3: I think I don't know the waiting room. He goes, No, no, No,
- 1:02Speaker 3: What's what's your next role? What's your next what's your
- 1:04Speaker 3: next show?
- 1:05Speaker 1: What do you what are you what are you acting
- 1:07Speaker 1: in next? What's your next role? I was like sorry,
- 1:09Speaker 1: and he goes, what do you what are you becoming next?
- 1:13Speaker 1: We've seen you, We've seen you as a vet.
- 1:14Speaker 3: What are you doing now? I'm like, I'm not an actor, Like,
- 1:18Speaker 3: this is actually what I do. I wasn't playing. He's like, no,
- 1:21Speaker 3: but you played the vet in that in that TV show.
- 1:24Speaker 3: I think you're acting.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:25Speaker 3: I was like, no, this is what I'm actually the
- 1:28Speaker 3: guy who just who just treated your dog? Who just
- 1:30Speaker 3: stuck that for a moment where it probably shouldn't go.
- 1:33Speaker 1: He's an actual vet. I'm actually trained. Yeah, you're a
- 1:37Speaker 1: trained vet. Yeah. So people, it's always it's always amusing.
- 1:42Speaker 4: Your dad was a vet? Was Is that why you
- 1:44Speaker 4: wanted to become lone? You wanted to be just like
- 1:46Speaker 4: your dad?
- 1:47Speaker 3: I sort of you make it sound so lay maybe.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Just like your daddy.
- 1:54Speaker 3: It's kind of It's kind of funny because whenever you
- 1:57Speaker 3: see a parent doing a job, and I'm sure people
- 2:00Speaker 3: can relate to this, you see, you see the good side,
- 2:02Speaker 3: but you also see.
- 2:03Speaker 1: A lot of the bad side.
- 2:04Speaker 3: And so I remember growing up as a kid, like
- 2:06Speaker 3: dad would leave the house at like midnight, two am,
- 2:09Speaker 3: maybe he's going out drinking, who knows, but he said
- 2:12Speaker 3: he was going to work, and so he and then
- 2:14Speaker 3: you get home, you know, as I was getting ready
- 2:16Speaker 3: for school, and he'd had like an all night you know,
- 2:18Speaker 3: surgery or something that hadn't gone well. Or he used
- 2:20Speaker 3: to like breakfast, like break the news to people that
- 2:23Speaker 3: their dogs had passed away overnight.
- 2:25Speaker 1: And it's just really heartbreaking stuff.
- 2:27Speaker 3: But also like it had this amazing other side where
- 2:30Speaker 3: you'd you'd be exposed to the most crazy animals, Like
- 2:32Speaker 3: I had a pet penguin at one stage. We had
- 2:35Speaker 3: like koalas, like kangaroos in the backyard, cows, penguins friendly,
- 2:40Speaker 3: really really friendly in.
- 2:42Speaker 4: My head, penguins need like ice cold conditions, no.
- 2:45Speaker 3: No, like because we have penguins in Sydney like in
- 2:48Speaker 3: the half. It was basically one of those. But his
- 2:51Speaker 3: big specialty was birds, so he so he used to
- 2:55Speaker 3: treat all sorts of birds and bring home like pelicans.
- 2:57Speaker 3: And yeah, it was like basically every single child labor
- 3:01Speaker 3: law in the country. I was at the age of
- 3:04Speaker 3: like eight looking after these these these birds and these animals.
- 3:07Speaker 3: But it would create these really strange situations. So you
- 3:11Speaker 3: know when you're a kid, you have friends around, yeah,
- 3:14Speaker 3: you know, to play or whatever.
- 3:16Speaker 1: But in our freezer because Dad was always.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Like always had these birds that he was like looking
- 3:21Speaker 3: after or doing like he used to do dissections and
- 3:23Speaker 3: autopsies on the kitchen table.
- 3:25Speaker 1: It's pretty strange.
- 3:26Speaker 3: And so we have this box in the in the
- 3:28Speaker 3: freezer that just had dead birds written on it. And
- 3:30Speaker 3: so if you're having friends around you getting an ice
- 3:33Speaker 3: block from the freezer, you feel like, what's with the
- 3:35Speaker 3: dead bird box? It was like socially set your back right.
- 3:39Speaker 3: And so for years and years we used to hate
- 3:42Speaker 3: the fact we had this dead bird box in the freezer.
- 3:45Speaker 1: So one day my brothers and I were like, like
- 3:47Speaker 1: enough with.
- 3:48Speaker 3: This, Like it's just it's just really awkward explaining this
- 3:50Speaker 3: to you, to you, to your friends when you have
- 3:52Speaker 3: them around. So we're like, we're gonna throw out, get
- 3:55Speaker 3: it rid of the dead bird box. And before we
- 3:57Speaker 3: threw it out, we thought we better make sure there's
- 3:59Speaker 3: not some you know, in danger, rare sort of bird
- 4:01Speaker 3: that he's got in there. And we opened up the
- 4:03Speaker 3: dead bird box and sitting inside it were six of
- 4:06Speaker 3: the biggest chocolate tarts you'd seen.
- 4:08Speaker 1: It very clever six years. Yeah, my mum and dad
- 4:12Speaker 1: had been hiding desserts, the desserts.
- 4:15Speaker 4: Start doing that with my kids.
- 4:17Speaker 1: See, wow, that's clever.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Because as kids like right, you just raid the you
- 4:21Speaker 3: raid the freezer everything. There's nothing off limits.
- 4:24Speaker 4: Oh and I'll buy like Magnums for me and Ryan.
- 4:27Speaker 4: And then at the minute I take my eyes off
- 4:29Speaker 4: the fridge or god forbid, I'm down the back hanging
- 4:32Speaker 4: out a loaded watching they're all gone.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Yeahah, I'm gonna start running dead birds. Yeah that's why.
- 4:39Speaker 3: I mean, like you could put like a box with
- 4:41Speaker 3: like Mikey's botox or something like that in there too.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:45Speaker 4: Are we're going to deny it.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Again the morning I've been copying it. What if you
- 4:50Speaker 1: had done I've had nothing. I've had nothing.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Look at these wrinkles, look at these like look at
- 4:56Speaker 3: this not a thing? To see how not a thing?
- 4:59Speaker 4: Chris, doctor C can actually move his forehead and he's
- 5:01Speaker 4: quite expressive.
- 5:02Speaker 1: I can say that.
- 5:03Speaker 2: So you okay, so you're a TV star on TV
- 5:08Speaker 2: and you've had not one thing done to you.
- 5:11Speaker 4: No, he's aging gracefully.
- 5:14Speaker 3: I just thought i'd try it out. I wouldn't say gracefully.
- 5:16Speaker 3: But I'm certainly aging.
- 5:17Speaker 4: Have you fallen into any of the online beauty skincare
- 5:20Speaker 4: traps or anything like that.
- 5:22Speaker 1: No, I can be quite enticing.
- 5:24Speaker 3: And once you click on one, you're like, oh, this
- 5:26Speaker 3: is amusing. What's what's with this one? There's one that
- 5:30Speaker 3: that's really caught my interest in my My girlfriend has
- 5:34Speaker 3: has taken it up. Beef Tallow moisturizerfriend started making this
- 5:40Speaker 3: and you see it, like you get so served, so
- 5:42Speaker 3: many ads for it, and everyone raves about it and
- 5:44Speaker 3: says it's amazing.
- 5:46Speaker 1: You have you tried it? Amy?
- 5:47Speaker 4: Okay, So one of my girlfriends she has dropped me
- 5:50Speaker 4: round two jars of it. There's one that's quite a
- 5:53Speaker 4: really hard one for really really dry skin, and another
- 5:56Speaker 4: one which is a cream. She makes it.
- 5:58Speaker 1: I have no idea how this has just come from
- 6:00Speaker 1: the butcher.
- 6:01Speaker 4: I don't know, but it just has this meat smell. However,
- 6:06Speaker 4: my girlfriend who dropped it off has incredible skin, so
- 6:09Speaker 4: it must have loads of health better.
- 6:12Speaker 1: I'm not going to try it's your girlfriend making it. No, No,
- 6:15Speaker 1: she buys onto it.
- 6:16Speaker 3: She buys it and you know because like you don't
- 6:20Speaker 3: need to be a vet to know what it is.
- 6:21Speaker 1: It's fat, just fat. Yes, But this is the greatest marketing,
- 6:26Speaker 1: like spa.
- 6:26Speaker 3: All the time you are convincing, you are convincing women
- 6:30Speaker 3: to buy a tub of beef fat for like eighty
- 6:33Speaker 3: dollars for like a small tub. But apparently it does.
- 6:36Speaker 3: It does work really well because it's full of vitamins
- 6:38Speaker 3: and or whatever. But so my girlfriend wears it and
- 6:43Speaker 3: it's scentered like it's got like a fresh scent, like
- 6:45Speaker 3: a lemon, who knows, like some lemon and herb thing.
- 6:50Speaker 1: When I when I kiss her, it is like kissing
- 6:54Speaker 1: and like like a roast, like kissing the drip tray
- 6:58Speaker 1: out of a barbetoe.
- 7:00Speaker 4: And then she loves to hear that have you tried
- 7:03Speaker 4: it on your own?
- 7:04Speaker 3: I have actually tried, but I just you're so like
- 7:06Speaker 3: you are dripping because you have you have beef fat
- 7:09Speaker 3: on your face like there's no other way around.
- 7:12Speaker 4: Stood in a kebab shop for too long, right, but
- 7:14Speaker 4: not back near the burners.
- 7:16Speaker 3: And all the I think, all the scent that's in
- 7:18Speaker 3: it disappears after a few minutes, but the person wearing
- 7:21Speaker 3: it doesn't notice it. But the person who kisses that person,
- 7:25Speaker 3: you know you are You're basically, I'm kissing a patient.
- 7:29Speaker 1: How how is the relationship going?
- 7:31Speaker 2: By the way, it's okay, you're going to get married.
- 7:33Speaker 4: Oh god, Mike, do you buy have flowers?
- 7:38Speaker 1: She doesn't like flowers? I mean's what she said. That
- 7:40Speaker 1: can be a trap, right.
- 7:41Speaker 4: No, I've said the same thing to my husband. I said,
- 7:44Speaker 4: I don't waste your money on flowers. I'd rather a
- 7:46Speaker 4: ball of wine. Mike, he actually just bought his girlfriend. Actually,
- 7:50Speaker 4: you just bought a bunch of flowers for the first
- 7:52Speaker 4: time in his adult life.
- 7:55Speaker 2: I had girlfriends previously that said they didn't like flowers.
- 7:58Speaker 1: This one does.
- 7:59Speaker 2: And I hadn't bought them for like six months. So
- 8:01Speaker 2: when they are they are there up on the store
- 8:02Speaker 2: and made.
- 8:03Speaker 4: Her wait, yeah, for you know, quite some time, and
- 8:06Speaker 4: then thought, right now is the perfect moment. I'm going
- 8:08Speaker 4: to blow her mind and buy her a bunch of flowers.
- 8:11Speaker 4: And he got a seven white roses.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Was there like a meeting behind the number seven? Is
- 8:16Speaker 1: there anything?
- 8:16Speaker 2: It's all they had in these dodgy flores that also
- 8:19Speaker 2: sold vapes. It's a very weird experience.
- 8:22Speaker 3: You're seven eleven, you say, dodgy flores. Yeah, I look
- 8:26Speaker 3: at that and go. You know what, at least it's
- 8:28Speaker 3: not a service station that's servo flowers that just have
- 8:32Speaker 3: like just a hint of unleaded like it kind of
- 8:35Speaker 3: does take a little bit of the romance out of it.
- 8:37Speaker 1: All right, Hey more with Dr Chris Brown.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Hang around, mate, We've got a little game we're gonna
- 8:42Speaker 2: play with you coming up next right here on kiss
- 8:44Speaker 2: Good morning, it's.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Doctor Chris Brown. Here, let's go.
- 8:47Speaker 2: All right, Doctor Chris Brown is hanging out and I
- 8:49Speaker 2: thought we'd play a little game of what would you rather? Okay, Okay,
- 8:55Speaker 2: I'm gonna I'll throw them at both of you guys,
- 8:57Speaker 2: all right, Amy and doctor cru sprown.
- 9:00Speaker 1: So here we go.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Date someone who hates animals or hates kids, Amy.
- 9:08Speaker 4: I mean I couldn't date somebody who hates kids. Three Yeah,
- 9:13Speaker 4: before I had three, Like, kids were non negotiable for me.
- 9:16Speaker 1: I always wanted to be a mum.
- 9:17Speaker 3: So Doctor Chris Brown, well, you'd expect you'd expect i'd
- 9:20Speaker 3: say I could never date someone who hates animals. But
- 9:25Speaker 3: I always whenever anyone says that, I'm always like, there's
- 9:28Speaker 3: probably a reason you probably.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Had a bad experience as a kid.
- 9:32Speaker 3: I think it probably says a bit more about you
- 9:34Speaker 3: if you hate kids, so I'd probably go, I'd probably
- 9:38Speaker 3: prefer to have the person who hates animals.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Because there's they're allergic, there's room to grow amy, That's
- 9:44Speaker 1: that's what there is.
- 9:45Speaker 3: There's there's a chance, you know, at least you can
- 9:47Speaker 3: show them that maybe they're not so bad.
- 9:49Speaker 2: So you want them yourself, not animals.
- 9:53Speaker 3: I look one day, I mean, I'm sure leaving it
- 9:56Speaker 3: a little a little la kicking that can down the
- 9:59Speaker 3: road a little bits.
- 10:01Speaker 4: It's not as important for the men.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, Okay, you can.
- 10:06Speaker 4: Be seventy and popping out a kid, not you yourself,
- 10:09Speaker 4: your partner.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you just wouldn't want to though, No, like
- 10:13Speaker 1: you d don't want to be necessarily an old that.
- 10:16Speaker 3: I mean, the the Mick Jaggers and all those sort
- 10:19Speaker 3: of rock stars have kind of they've kind of made
- 10:21Speaker 3: it clear that you can have kids at eighty five.
- 10:24Speaker 1: But it's a bit march, isn't it. I don't know. Yeah,
- 10:27Speaker 1: I just don't know.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Marry someone dumb and beautiful or smart and ugly. So
- 10:36Speaker 2: they're dumb and they're gorgeous, but smart and ugly. Go on,
- 10:40Speaker 2: we know the answer to be honest.
- 10:42Speaker 4: No, I know your answer.
- 10:44Speaker 2: I know what you would.
- 10:46Speaker 4: I feel like if I can't have an intelligent conversation
- 10:49Speaker 4: with you and you are just an airhead, looks fade
- 10:53Speaker 4: real quick.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I don't.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I reckon, you don't really notice the looks after
- 10:57Speaker 3: after a while. If someone is did you say stunningly
- 11:03Speaker 3: beautiful and but dumb?
- 11:06Speaker 1: I mean, if they're quirky, maybe it's not too bad.
- 11:09Speaker 3: But I think still you'd still need to have that
- 11:12Speaker 3: conversation because otherwise it would just be it'd be hard work,
- 11:15Speaker 3: that'd be be long, long days.
- 11:18Speaker 4: And like charismatic and funny will always win over like
- 11:22Speaker 4: a good looking dude.
- 11:23Speaker 2: All right, Bathlieres. Take someone who's allergic to dogs or
- 11:29Speaker 2: someone who's vegan.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Allergic to kids.
- 11:33Speaker 4: I could not do the vegan. Yeah, yeah, like I
- 11:35Speaker 4: love red meat.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Yeah, it'd be hard.
- 11:38Speaker 2: You're not a vegetarian.
- 11:39Speaker 1: It's a are you no, I'm not?
- 11:41Speaker 3: No, No, As I get reminded on some social media
- 11:47Speaker 3: the time, I reckon.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Jeez, if you were. If they're allergic to dogs, you
- 11:54Speaker 1: can take a tablet for that, and you can get
- 11:56Speaker 1: immune therapy shops.
- 11:58Speaker 3: Yeah, like all just taking any so you can move
- 12:01Speaker 3: on from it. I could tell fast and have a light.
- 12:03Speaker 4: Yeah, just live with the itchiness, all right.
- 12:05Speaker 2: What about do a job you hated, but it's great money,
- 12:08Speaker 2: like killer money, or a dream job, but it's minimum wage.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Dr Chris Brown.
- 12:15Speaker 3: You know what they say, to a job you love,
- 12:17Speaker 3: you never work a day in your life. Not true,
- 12:21Speaker 3: You're still working. Look my money, This is a cliche.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Money isn't that important, Like, you've got to enjoy what
- 12:29Speaker 3: you do. Maybe do that as a job. Maybe have
- 12:33Speaker 3: a second job to do that one that you love
- 12:36Speaker 3: and take a second job on the side.
- 12:39Speaker 4: I'm a believer that you don't live to work, you
- 12:44Speaker 4: work to live. And so I used to work in
- 12:46Speaker 4: advertising when I was in my early twenties and it
- 12:49Speaker 4: was super fun. I worked on a love sack. There
- 12:51Speaker 4: was chefs, we had DJs, there were so many parties,
- 12:55Speaker 4: client lunches. But it paid me like absolute peanuts. And
- 12:58Speaker 4: then I got a job as a paralegal in corporate
- 13:01Speaker 4: and you could hear a pin drop and it was
- 13:03Speaker 4: so stale, but it paid me like three times what
- 13:06Speaker 4: I earned in advertising, and all of a sudden was
- 13:08Speaker 4: like I can enjoy my weekends more cost of living
- 13:12Speaker 4: in bloody Sydney. I prefer the job that I didn't
- 13:16Speaker 4: love that paid me better.
- 13:17Speaker 2: It's all about the money. Okay.
- 13:19Speaker 3: See, if if you're working, you've got to I think
- 13:21Speaker 3: you've got a The whole point of work is to
- 13:23Speaker 3: make the most of your holiday time or your weekend time.
- 13:27Speaker 3: So if you it can make work bearable, if you
- 13:29Speaker 3: have a like a holiday, you're going to be able
- 13:32Speaker 3: to afford because of that. Yeah, paralegals, that isn't it
- 13:35Speaker 3: just like a lot of reading so many, so many NDA,
- 13:39Speaker 3: just shipping documents.
- 13:41Speaker 1: I do all that now.
- 13:42Speaker 4: Anyway, that job will be null and void soon.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Yeah, alright, no general tools on no hears.
- 13:51Speaker 4: I would definitely take noears.
- 13:55Speaker 1: It might surprise you to know that that's not a
- 13:56Speaker 1: question I've ever pondered late at night. I would go, yeah,
- 14:04Speaker 1: no year is problem.
- 14:06Speaker 4: I can still see what's happening.
- 14:10Speaker 3: It's probably easy to get prosthetic ears than it is
- 14:12Speaker 3: prosthetic genitals, so I'd probably go with the no no years.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Okay, all right, Well that was good, doctor Chris Brown.
- 14:20Speaker 3: I'm the person that came up with those questions that
- 14:22Speaker 3: we need to hold team matter who came up with a.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Do you need some help? Everyone? After? Is everything okay?
- 14:31Speaker 1: Is the dating scene?
- 14:32Speaker 3: Just are you struggling with it that badly that you're
- 14:35Speaker 3: contemplating no genitals or no years?
- 14:37Speaker 1: Honestly, I'd keep the ears at this stage and leave.
- 14:39Speaker 4: Them for work.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Doctor Chris Brown. Always good to have you in May.
- 14:46Speaker 2: You're a busy man, so we appreciate it, and we'll
- 14:48Speaker 2: see you against her.
- 14:49Speaker 1: No, there we go, all right,
