- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing in with Becca Tilly and Tanya Rad, an iHeartRadio.
- 0:04Speaker 2: And two-time People's Choice Award winning podcast.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Hello, everybody.
- 0:14Speaker 4: We are scrubbing in.
- 0:15Speaker 3: I just want to give a quick shout out. This
- 0:18Speaker 3: is like not an ad at all. But this quince
- 0:22Speaker 3: cardigan came in the mail like an hour before I
- 0:26Speaker 3: left for New York.
- 0:27Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 0:28Speaker 3: I was so excited. I threw it on. I wore
- 0:30Speaker 3: it my flight there, my flight home. I can't take
- 0:32Speaker 3: it off. I'm literally obsessed with it. And they are
- 0:34Speaker 3: a proud sponsor of the podcast. And I just want
- 0:38Speaker 3: to give them a shout out because I'm like obsessed
- 0:39Speaker 3: with this cardigan.
- 0:40Speaker 4: Wow.
- 0:41Speaker 2: I know.
- 0:41Speaker 4: I asked the question about if people take multiple outfits
- 0:47Speaker 4: for the plane ride there and back. Yeah. And an
- 0:51Speaker 4: overwhelming response said people normally wear the same outfit there
- 0:54Speaker 4: and back. Yeah.
- 0:55Speaker 3: I usually just change like the shirt. The under layer. So, like,
- 1:01Speaker 3: feel clean.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Right, right, right.
- 1:02Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:03Speaker 3: But I'll keep, like, the cardigan and I'll usually keep
- 1:05Speaker 3: the pants.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Yeah. I'd bring a whole separate outfit, which I've never
- 1:12Speaker 4: even thought about not.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:14Speaker 4: I just think airplanes and airports are so dirty.
- 1:17Speaker 3: I know, but then why dirty two things? And then, like,
- 1:19Speaker 3: why take up so much space?
- 1:20Speaker 4: But putting on the same outfit.
- 1:22Speaker 3: That you're going to wear on a plane.
- 1:24Speaker 4: I just like to feel clean on a plane. I'll, like,
- 1:27Speaker 4: I'll take a shower at 10 p.m., go to sleep,
- 1:30Speaker 4: and if I have an early flight, wake up at
- 1:32Speaker 4: 4 and shower again.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I do that.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:35Speaker 4: So why would I put on dirty clothes after I
- 1:37Speaker 4: take that effort?
- 1:38Speaker 3: You put on a clean shirt, but then you put
- 1:40Speaker 3: on the same outer.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Yeah, so you just have one outer piece.
- 1:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:45Speaker 4: And pants. Mm-hmm. And then the shirt's different.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:49Speaker 4: But the pants will be the same.
- 1:50Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Yeah, that was the overwhelming response from people. Mm-hmm. Just
- 1:54Speaker 4: a few were on the side.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Of, I used to be like you. And I usually
- 2:00Speaker 3: wear sweats on planes. I'd have this thick sweat outfit
- 2:04Speaker 3: that I'm packing to go to Cabo. And I'm like,
- 2:06Speaker 3: why am I packing this, taking up all this space?
- 2:08Speaker 2: I know.
- 2:09Speaker 4: We're going on a big trip next week. We're going
- 2:12Speaker 4: to Thailand. And Girls Like Girls is coming out in,
- 2:16Speaker 4: I think, a few theaters there. So we're going to go.
- 2:19Speaker 4: And I am trying to pack a carry-on with a
- 2:24Speaker 4: duffel bag. When do you leave again?
- 2:27Speaker 3: Monday the 31st right i'm gonna put that on my calendar.
- 2:33Speaker 4: And i posted that i was trying to go to
- 2:36Speaker 4: because we're gonna be gone for like a week and
- 2:38Speaker 4: a half and i said oh do you think i
- 2:40Speaker 4: can pack a carry-on and a duffel and people were
- 2:44Speaker 4: like no chance i thought they were gonna be like
- 2:47Speaker 4: absolutely because i also don't like rewiring things that's gonna
- 2:50Speaker 4: be so hot and humid that i don't want to
- 2:54Speaker 4: rewire anything i we might have a laundry unit where
- 2:59Speaker 4: we're staying or they said a resort can wash them
- 3:02Speaker 4: for you. But anyways, I was like, do you think
- 3:05Speaker 4: I can do it without rewearing pieces? And people are like,
- 3:07Speaker 4: no shot. And I thought everyone was going to be like, yeah,
- 3:09Speaker 4: you can do it. Didn't I respond? I said, yeah.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:12Speaker 4: But everyone seems to be like, just pack a checked bag.
- 3:18Speaker 4: But I don't want to because I don't want to
- 3:19Speaker 4: have to lug it around. We have a layover. I
- 3:22Speaker 4: don't want to be. What if something happens? God forbid.
- 3:25Speaker 3: That's why I love not checking a bag. That's like
- 3:28Speaker 3: the biggest thing. You know your stuff is going to
- 3:30Speaker 3: be there. You're responsible for it. You're seeing it every
- 3:34Speaker 3: step of the way, especially if you're going to have
- 3:36Speaker 3: to lug it when you're getting to where you're going.
- 3:38Speaker 3: It's so obnoxious to have this giant bag. Like having
- 3:42Speaker 3: carry-ons is... The way to go.
- 3:44Speaker 4: I know. I'm going to try to do it.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Do you have packing cubes?
- 3:49Speaker 4: Yes. And I got compression packing cubes.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh. Then you'll 100% be able to do it.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Well, stay tuned. I'm kind of nervous. I've been like
- 4:00Speaker 4: the furthest I've been is Japan. And I feel like
- 4:03Speaker 4: Thailand's so far away. And I don't know what to expect.
- 4:07Speaker 4: But I'm like really excited to go somewhere new because
- 4:09Speaker 4: before I went on The Bachelor, I wrote this list
- 4:12Speaker 4: of my dreams. My boss at the time, we did
- 4:15Speaker 4: this like day where we just wrote down all of
- 4:17Speaker 4: our dreams and wishes. And I wrote down, I just
- 4:19Speaker 4: want to travel the world. And then literally a few
- 4:22Speaker 4: months later, I got the call about The Bachelor, which ironically,
- 4:25Speaker 4: we stayed in the U.S. like the whole time because
- 4:27Speaker 4: it was Chris, who is a farmer. And we did
- 4:30Speaker 4: go to Bali at the end. And I.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Remember, and so now every time I get to travel somewhere,
- 4:36Speaker 4: I'm like, oh my gosh, this is what I wished for.
- 4:38Speaker 4: But I do get, I am kind of nervous about
- 4:40Speaker 4: this one. Just because it feels far.
- 4:43Speaker 3: It is very far.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:45Speaker 4: So, and it feels very unfamiliar, you know?
- 4:48Speaker 5: Right.
- 4:49Speaker 4: But I'm excited because it's going to be like a
- 4:51Speaker 4: totally different culture. I'm so excited about eating Thai food
- 4:54Speaker 4: and just, you know, going somewhere totally new. But I'm excited.
- 5:00Speaker 3: I think you should try Carry On.
- 5:02Speaker 4: I'm going to. I'm going to try.
- 5:04Speaker 3: And then if I'm overwhelmed, I did eight days with
- 5:07Speaker 3: a carry on and I had stuff to spare.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Really?
- 5:10Speaker 3: Yeah. The underwear I had to rewash, which I don't
- 5:14Speaker 3: like to do. So now I'm like, that's my motto
- 5:17Speaker 3: is like overpack underwear. Cause I go through underwear, like hotcakes.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Like I usually go through three, three, four pair a day. Three,
- 5:24Speaker 3: four pair a day. So I wake up and I
- 5:27Speaker 3: put on a pair to like go get breakfast, usually
- 5:29Speaker 3: at the hotel.
- 5:30Speaker 4: Okay.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Then I come back to the room. If we, depending on,
- 5:33Speaker 3: The type of vacation, if we go work out, I'll
- 5:35Speaker 3: put on a different pair or I'll put on a
- 5:38Speaker 3: bathing suit.
- 5:39Speaker 4: Okay.
- 5:39Speaker 3: So when we come back, I'll put on underwear when
- 5:41Speaker 3: I come back. Then I'll usually shower and I'll put
- 5:43Speaker 3: on another pair to like go to dinner. And then
- 5:45Speaker 3: I have my pair that I sleep in. Oh.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:48Speaker 3: It's a lot of underwear.
- 5:50Speaker 4: Wow. There's a lot of. feels like a lot of
- 5:52Speaker 4: unnecessary changes in there well underwear I don't.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Mess with because I'm like once it's dirty it's dirty
- 5:58Speaker 3: I don't need to be wearing that all day I
- 5:59Speaker 3: don't need to be like sweating in it and.
- 6:01Speaker 6: Then no I agree yeah no I agree yeah yeah
- 6:05Speaker 6: normally I just do you know one to go to
- 6:07Speaker 6: breakfast and I change it to a swimsuit and then
- 6:09Speaker 6: if I take a shower I stay in a robe
- 6:11Speaker 6: and then put the underwear.
- 6:12Speaker 3: On before you go to dinner yeah but what if
- 6:15Speaker 3: you come back and you shower and it's like three
- 6:17Speaker 3: o'clock you're not going to dinner till seven you just
- 6:18Speaker 3: don't put any underwear on.
- 6:19Speaker 4: You're just free ball If I'm just in the hotel? Yeah.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 6:23Speaker 3: Just like sit on the couches with like your crotch out?
- 6:25Speaker 4: I'm not sitting on the couch. Well, in like a
- 6:27Speaker 4: robe or something. Or pants.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Feels cold.
- 6:34Speaker 4: There's some people that just don't wear, like even with
- 6:36Speaker 4: jeans and stuff.
- 6:37Speaker 3: I couldn't imagine.
- 6:38Speaker 4: No, I can't.
- 6:39Speaker 3: No, I need her covered and protected at all times.
- 6:45Speaker 4: Yeah, multiple times a day, it seems.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah. Actually, you know, I need new underwear. I
- 6:49Speaker 3: need more underwear.
- 6:50Speaker 4: Okay, I did not expect this episode to go into
- 6:54Speaker 4: underwear conversation, but I bought... I was just reading about
- 6:58Speaker 4: how you should be wearing mostly cotton underwear.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Welcome to 2020 when I said this for the first time.
- 7:06Speaker 3: I love the.
- 7:10Speaker 4: Thongs that are like that spandexy like no show material
- 7:14Speaker 4: so I've always gone for those no no no but
- 7:16Speaker 4: I found some that are like 90 something percent cotton
- 7:21Speaker 4: and they're very different it's Victoria's Secret oh they do yeah.
- 7:26Speaker 3: So again this is so where they were having this
- 7:28Speaker 3: conversation but you know that little like I don't even
- 7:31Speaker 3: know how to describe it but like the landing strip
- 7:33Speaker 3: the landing strip on a underwear like on a thong
- 7:36Speaker 3: most thongs will make that part cotton and Even if
- 7:40Speaker 3: the actual underwear itself that's, like, going up your butt
- 7:43Speaker 3: and stuff isn't cotton, they'll make the landing strip cotton.
- 7:46Speaker 4: Right.
- 7:47Speaker 3: So at least you can rest assured that, like, I
- 7:49Speaker 3: feel like most underwear have that.
- 7:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:53Speaker 3: I like to go 100% full cotton.
- 7:56Speaker 4: Uh-huh.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Every part that's going up my butt, around my sides.
- 7:59Speaker 5: Uh-huh.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Everywhere. Yeah.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Yeah. I like cotton.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Yeah, so I just made the switch to those as well.
- 8:05Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:06Speaker 4: They're not 100%, but pretty close. It's a hard switch.
- 8:08Speaker 3: It's a hard switch once you get those, once you're
- 8:11Speaker 3: used to those no-shows and the really, like, smooth ones.
- 8:15Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 8:16Speaker 3: These granny panties.
- 8:18Speaker 4: I'm not wearing granny panties.
- 8:19Speaker 3: Oh, you're not?
- 8:21Speaker 4: Well, you ought to sleep in, but.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:24Speaker 4: You walk around in grannies?
- 8:26Speaker 3: Depends on what I'm wearing.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:28Speaker 6: Good.
- 8:29Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 8:30Speaker 3: I'm not ashamed of it.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Exposure therapy.
- 8:35Speaker 3: We were like, I'm like the fact that I was
- 8:38Speaker 3: 15 years old, 13 years old with a, like a
- 8:40Speaker 3: piece of. string coming up my butt no like like
- 8:44Speaker 3: some of those were.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Insane what we wore what we wore like it was
- 8:49Speaker 1: like literally dental floss up my butt just like shaking
- 8:53Speaker 1: around in there it's disgusting when you think about it
- 8:56Speaker 1: shaking what was shaking around in there yeah if i
- 8:59Speaker 1: was like twerking in the.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Club nothing's going.
- 9:03Speaker 4: Just flossing flossing the cheeks No, I was thinking about
- 9:10Speaker 4: my first ever thong was this like teeny tiny strip.
- 9:15Speaker 4: And then the print was cherries, like a cherry denim thong.
- 9:20Speaker 5: Denim.
- 9:20Speaker 4: Denim.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:22Speaker 4: The strap was denim, if you can imagine.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I can imagine. Like the underwear that I used
- 9:28Speaker 3: to wear because I used to think like it mattered
- 9:32Speaker 3: or like, I don't know. It's so weird. how self-conscious
- 9:35Speaker 3: i was about my underwear when i was younger yeah
- 9:38Speaker 3: and now.
- 9:38Speaker 4: Like 17 year old tanya would be shook to see
- 9:41Speaker 4: the granny cotton.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Granny the 100 full cotton panties that she's wearing now
- 9:47Speaker 3: oh my gosh 17 year old me would be like.
- 9:50Speaker 4: What have you become literally but she'd be proud that
- 9:55Speaker 4: you're more.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Comfortable and uti free and uti free most importantly exactly Well,
- 10:00Speaker 3: we have some Dear Banya.
- 10:01Speaker 4: Should we get going?
- 10:03Speaker 3: You want to change the subject?
- 10:04Speaker 4: Well, I just didn't have anything else to say after
- 10:08Speaker 4: the visual of you twerking in the club and your
- 10:11Speaker 4: strength on.
- 10:13Speaker 3: We've all been there.
- 10:13Speaker 4: No?
- 10:15Speaker 2: Mark? I can't say I have. This is from Anonymous.
- 10:19Speaker 2: I'm 30 and I've been with my boyfriend for a while.
- 10:21Speaker 2: We're talking about moving in together. I'm excited. I feel ready,
- 10:24Speaker 2: but there's one thing holding me back. I've never lived alone.
- 10:28Speaker 2: I had roommates in college. Since then, I've been living
- 10:31Speaker 2: with my parents. Part of me feels like living alone
- 10:33Speaker 2: is an important life experience. I'll regret skipping. But another
- 10:36Speaker 2: part of me wonders if I'd just be wasting money
- 10:38Speaker 2: and delaying something I already know I want. I'd also
- 10:41Speaker 2: be moving into my boyfriend's existing place, so I worry
- 10:43Speaker 2: it might feel a little more like his home than ours.
- 10:47Speaker 2: For some reason, I feel a little late in the
- 10:48Speaker 2: game to move out on my own for a year
- 10:50Speaker 2: just to say I did it. At the same time,
- 10:52Speaker 2: it might be my last chance to ever really live
- 10:54Speaker 2: by myself. What do you guys think is the best
- 10:56Speaker 2: thing to do here? Can't wait to hear what you
- 10:58Speaker 2: have to say. Love you all so much.
- 10:59Speaker 3: Do you have an opinion?
- 11:04Speaker 4: I think living alone and having your own place is
- 11:11Speaker 4: invaluable time. Because you're learning the things that you... like
- 11:18Speaker 4: for your own home and you're getting to make those
- 11:20Speaker 4: decisions without having to like, it's almost like you get
- 11:25Speaker 4: to have a selfish time of your life where everything
- 11:27Speaker 4: is what you want it to be. And I think
- 11:29Speaker 4: that's a really fun time, but I also see your
- 11:33Speaker 4: point of if this is your person and wanting to
- 11:36Speaker 4: move in together, but it might be a tough adjustment.
- 11:42Speaker 3: Here's my thing. I'm not somebody that's going to be like, Oh,
- 11:46Speaker 3: I think you have to live alone because like you
- 11:49Speaker 3: should have that experience and yada, yada, yada. Like if
- 11:51Speaker 3: you found the person you want to be with and
- 11:53Speaker 3: you want to like get engaged, get married and just
- 11:55Speaker 3: move in with this person, like I'm all for that.
- 11:58Speaker 3: But I didn't see you say here that you said
- 12:02Speaker 3: you're talking about moving in together, but you're not talking
- 12:04Speaker 3: about getting engaged and you still have this feeling that
- 12:07Speaker 3: you want to live alone. You said you've never lived
- 12:09Speaker 3: alone and you feel like you want to have that experience.
- 12:11Speaker 3: So I feel like now is the perfect time to
- 12:13Speaker 3: do it because you're not engaged and So why not
- 12:18Speaker 3: get your own place for a short period of time?
- 12:21Speaker 3: Try and get a six month lease if you can.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Six months to a year. Do it for six months
- 12:26Speaker 3: to a year. And then after you get engaged or
- 12:28Speaker 3: even after you get married, then you move in. Like
- 12:31Speaker 3: now's your time to do it. If you don't do
- 12:32Speaker 3: it now, it's now or never. It's now, now, now, now, now, now,
- 12:38Speaker 3: now or never.
- 12:39Speaker 4: Thank you. Um, I agree. I, I, my advice would
- 12:43Speaker 4: be to find a six month, like short-term lease, have
- 12:47Speaker 4: that experience. And also when your boyfriend comes over, see
- 12:51Speaker 4: how he treats your space, because then when you move
- 12:54Speaker 4: in together, you'll kind of have an idea of how
- 12:57Speaker 4: he lives, how he, how he'll work with your life
- 13:00Speaker 4: and your style. And then maybe there's a world where
- 13:02Speaker 4: y'all can get a place together. So you're not having
- 13:04Speaker 4: to move into his home and it just feels like
- 13:06Speaker 4: his place. But I think it's, I agree. I think
- 13:10Speaker 4: you're not engaged yet. You want the experience of living alone.
- 13:14Speaker 4: And why not? If not now, when?
- 13:18Speaker 3: Literally, this is your chance.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:20Speaker 3: It is now or never.
- 13:21Speaker 4: It's not now or never because, and I hope everything
- 13:25Speaker 4: goes well.
- 13:25Speaker 3: They might not get engaged.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:27Speaker 4: I hope, I just would, if you're, if this is
- 13:28Speaker 4: your person and you see things moving in the, in
- 13:30Speaker 4: the direction of getting engaged in this being the person
- 13:33Speaker 4: that you spend your life with, then I think do
- 13:36Speaker 4: it now.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:37Speaker 4: Why not? I don't think it's, I don't think you'll
- 13:40Speaker 4: see it as wasting money. I think you'll see it
- 13:42Speaker 4: as finding your independence and finding what you love and
- 13:46Speaker 4: how you want a home to feel.
- 13:47Speaker 3: I have such fond memories of when I lived alone.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Like that was such a time. I would sit on
- 13:55Speaker 3: my couch. If I was hungover, I would sit on
- 13:57Speaker 3: my couch all day long on a Saturday. I would
- 13:59Speaker 3: post my breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I would not move
- 14:02Speaker 3: off of that couch and feel no guilt about it.
- 14:04Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 14:06Speaker 3: And do nothing. If I needed to do housework, I
- 14:08Speaker 3: would do it the next day.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:09Speaker 3: Because nobody.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:11Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 14:11Speaker 4: It's just you.
- 14:12Speaker 3: It's just me.
- 14:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:14Speaker 4: It's fun. It is fun.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:17Speaker 4: And you're in a place where you, you know, can
- 14:19Speaker 4: have the company if you want him to come over.
- 14:22Speaker 4: But you also have the freedom to be alone. Yeah.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Here, have a key. You want a key? You want
- 14:26Speaker 3: a drawer?
- 14:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:27Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Here's some of the closet.
- 14:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:29Speaker 4: So our advice is see if you can find a
- 14:31Speaker 4: little short term lease and go have that experience, girl.
- 14:34Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:35Speaker 4: And so fun. Give us updates. Okay, we have a
- 14:39Speaker 4: cousin that wants to have weddings at the same time.
- 14:43Speaker 4: Sounds tricky.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:45Speaker 4: Let's take a break. We'll come back.
- 14:47Speaker 5: We're back.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Anonymous, my cousin and I got engaged three weeks apart.
- 15:07Speaker 2: My fiance and I knew we wanted to get married
- 15:09Speaker 2: next summer, so we started planning right away, found a
- 15:11Speaker 2: venue that's really meaningful to me and my family. Before
- 15:14Speaker 2: choosing a date, I reached out to my cousin because
- 15:16Speaker 2: she technically got engaged first and wanted to make sure
- 15:19Speaker 2: we weren't planning our weddings too close together to make
- 15:22Speaker 2: sure the family could, we don't want to make the
- 15:23Speaker 2: family have to choose between them. She said they hadn't
- 15:26Speaker 2: started planning or even thought of a date yet, so
- 15:28Speaker 2: we had booked it, got done, done deal. A couple
- 15:30Speaker 2: weeks later, My cousin called and asked if we would
- 15:33Speaker 2: consider having our weddings at the same time so our
- 15:36Speaker 2: family wouldn't have to travel twice in one year. I
- 15:39Speaker 2: was shocked. These are our weddings, not a joint birthday party.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Am I the a-hole for not even wanting to consider this?
- 15:48Speaker 4: No, I don't think you're an a-hole for this.
- 15:50Speaker 2: It's such a TV sitcom thing. Hey, let's have our
- 15:52Speaker 2: wedding together in the backyard. Like, it's not a realistic thing.
- 15:55Speaker 3: Does she mean together?
- 15:56Speaker 2: Well, I don't know.
- 15:58Speaker 3: No, surely this person didn't mean... They would have a
- 16:01Speaker 3: joint wedding. There's no way.
- 16:03Speaker 2: So what would it be? Same weekend?
- 16:04Speaker 3: She's saying, hold on. She called and asked if we
- 16:07Speaker 3: would consider having our weddings at the same time. Meaning like,
- 16:13Speaker 3: where are they?
- 16:13Speaker 4: Are they both on the same Saturday afternoon? So like
- 16:15Speaker 4: the same night, but different venues?
- 16:17Speaker 3: So they wouldn't have to travel. I'm just confused as
- 16:20Speaker 3: to where. Are they wanting to have their weddings in
- 16:22Speaker 3: the same place?
- 16:23Speaker 4: It sounds like either on the same weekend or at
- 16:26Speaker 4: the same place. I don't know. Regardless, I don't think
- 16:30Speaker 4: you're an a-hole for not... I think you did the
- 16:32Speaker 4: right thing. You reached out. You're like, hey, do you
- 16:34Speaker 4: have anything? This is what we're doing. And I don't
- 16:36Speaker 4: think that it's fair to expect you to plan your
- 16:41Speaker 4: wedding around what's convenient for the family.
- 16:44Speaker 3: Literally, no.
- 16:45Speaker 4: Yeah, no. This is.
- 16:47Speaker 5: I agree.
- 16:48Speaker 4: It's not a birthday party. It's not... It's not a party.
- 16:51Speaker 3: And also, if you have a destination wedding, no matter
- 16:54Speaker 3: where the destination is, you know... people are going to
- 16:58Speaker 3: say no. It's not going to be easy or convenient
- 17:00Speaker 3: for people. So it's like, just know if you're having
- 17:03Speaker 3: a wedding, that's destination. There will be a lot more
- 17:06Speaker 3: no's than you were anticipating maybe, or just know that
- 17:09Speaker 3: the no's are coming. And it is what it is.
- 17:12Speaker 3: The people who want to come will come.
- 17:14Speaker 4: I can't tell if they're having the wedding, if they
- 17:16Speaker 4: picked a local venue and people are just having to
- 17:18Speaker 4: travel to them. And so the cousin's like.
- 17:22Speaker 3: It can't be a local wedding because why would she
- 17:25Speaker 3: ask to do it at the same time? It doesn't
- 17:26Speaker 3: make sense.
- 17:27Speaker 4: Yeah, so that people traveling from out of town don't
- 17:30Speaker 4: have to do it twice.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Oh, it's local for them, but they don't want people
- 17:35Speaker 3: traveling from outside. So she's saying, like, you get married Friday,
- 17:38Speaker 3: we'll get married Saturday, bang it.
- 17:40Speaker 4: On one weekend. I'd be like, hell to the no. Anonymous,
- 17:44Speaker 4: you're not an a-hole for not wanting to consider. I
- 17:46Speaker 4: think you just say, hey, I understand, like, trying to be,
- 17:50Speaker 4: you know, consider of everyone's travel time, but I don't
- 17:53Speaker 4: want it to feel like we're having to adjust just to...
- 17:57Speaker 4: make it convenient for everybody. So is there any way
- 18:01Speaker 4: you could, I don't really want to do our wedding
- 18:02Speaker 4: at the same time. I don't think you're wrong for
- 18:05Speaker 4: that at all.
- 18:06Speaker 3: I wouldn't hate a week apart.
- 18:09Speaker 4: A week apart is fine.
- 18:11Speaker 3: If you guys aren't traveling, if you're staying in.
- 18:14Speaker 2: That's a big ask of your guests.
- 18:16Speaker 4: To stay a week. That's what I'm saying.
- 18:17Speaker 2: To stay a full week in another city. That's what
- 18:19Speaker 2: I'm saying. You're talking seven, eight nights in a hotel. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 18:24Speaker 4: I think it just make more sense for her to
- 18:26Speaker 4: space it out and maybe do like later in the
- 18:27Speaker 4: fall or the next spring or something just because they
- 18:30Speaker 4: don't have anything planned. And that way that gives people
- 18:32Speaker 4: plenty of time to, you know, travel again the next year.
- 18:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 18:38Speaker 4: But I think you did the right thing. You reached out,
- 18:40Speaker 4: you asked her and then you book something that meant
- 18:42Speaker 4: something to you and you get to have your moment
- 18:44Speaker 4: and she should understand that.
- 18:46Speaker 5: And like.
- 18:47Speaker 3: Weddings are an inconvenience. If you're not the bride and groom,
- 18:50Speaker 3: weddings aren't inconvenience, but they're an inconvenience that you want
- 18:54Speaker 3: to do.
- 18:54Speaker 4: Do you know what I mean?
- 18:55Speaker 3: Like it is what it is. It just is what
- 18:57Speaker 3: it is. So it's like the people that want to
- 18:59Speaker 3: be there, your family members that maybe don't want to
- 19:01Speaker 3: be there. We'll use it as an excuse. Oh, we
- 19:03Speaker 3: don't want to travel twice in three months or whatever. Fine.
- 19:07Speaker 3: Let them, you know what I mean?
- 19:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:09Speaker 4: Yeah, I just even if you do it in the
- 19:11Speaker 4: same month, I don't think it's don't even say like
- 19:14Speaker 4: I'm down to get married at the same time. But
- 19:15Speaker 4: I also think I don't want to do it the
- 19:17Speaker 4: same weekend. And I think it's a lot to expect
- 19:20Speaker 4: people to stay for a week.
- 19:21Speaker 3: If somebody came to me and said, could we get
- 19:24Speaker 3: married in Punta Mita if we had like same friends
- 19:26Speaker 3: or something on Saturday? You guys do Friday. We'll take Saturday.
- 19:30Speaker 3: I'd be like, you're not invited anymore.
- 19:33Speaker 4: What's the point of planning something and putting that much
- 19:36Speaker 4: effort into something just to have it? merged with someone
- 19:39Speaker 4: else yes i think it's different if it's like you
- 19:44Speaker 4: said like a birthday party or celebrating really anything other
- 19:48Speaker 4: than the.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Wedding yes correct.
- 19:52Speaker 4: So, yeah, you're not an a-hole, and please update us
- 19:56Speaker 4: because I'm very fascinated by this. And I want the
- 19:58Speaker 4: details on, are y'all trying to do a destination wedding
- 20:01Speaker 4: at the same time, or are you doing a local
- 20:02Speaker 4: wedding where people would be coming to y'all? I'm curious.
- 20:09Speaker 4: All right.
- 20:10Speaker 2: You want to do one more, the fun one, and
- 20:13Speaker 2: then play the game? What do you want to do here?
- 20:14Speaker 3: Yeah, fun one, play the game. Fun one, play the game.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Alexis, I just heard the podcast where the girl got
- 20:19Speaker 2: the ick with her boyfriend bringing wipes on vacation. I've
- 20:23Speaker 2: been married to my husband for nine years this September.
- 20:25Speaker 2: He really is the greatest guy alive. He's my best
- 20:28Speaker 2: friend and the love of my life. That being said,
- 20:31Speaker 2: if he brought wipes on vacation, I think I would
- 20:34Speaker 2: get the ick. Every time I saw them, I would
- 20:37Speaker 2: just think of his pale little butthole. And I wouldn't
- 20:40Speaker 2: be able to get it out of my head. In fact,
- 20:42Speaker 2: I almost have Vic just thinking about it. So hopefully
- 20:45Speaker 2: the listener can come back from this. I'm a day
- 20:47Speaker 2: one listener and love y'all's podcast.
- 20:49Speaker 4: You know, things I never thought we would say on
- 20:51Speaker 4: this podcast.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Pay a little butthole.
- 20:54Speaker 4: Pay a little butthole. Yeah.
- 20:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 21:00Speaker 4: You said she wouldn't come back from it, right? You
- 21:02Speaker 4: said it was not. I need an update.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Isn't that the definition of the ick? The ick is
- 21:06Speaker 2: something you don't come back from.
- 21:08Speaker 4: No. Really?
- 21:09Speaker 3: Because it's early.
- 21:10Speaker 2: In a relationship. Like, I feel like husbands and wives,
- 21:12Speaker 2: you might get an ick, but you can survive it
- 21:14Speaker 2: because you've made this commitment. It's early in a relationship.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Something happens. You're like, I can't. I'm done. I just
- 21:20Speaker 2: watched him chase a ping pong ball. I'm no longer
- 21:22Speaker 2: attracted to him. Yeah.
- 21:23Speaker 4: Chasing the ping pong ball is one of my favorite ones.
- 21:27Speaker 3: That can get really dark.
- 21:29Speaker 4: No, like.
- 21:29Speaker 3: Chasing a ping, and like squatting down and like. And
- 21:33Speaker 3: then you kick it on accident.
- 21:34Speaker 4: It goes further. It's tough. Drinking out of a straw. Tough.
- 21:39Speaker 3: Tough to come back from, let me tell you. Uphill battle.
- 21:42Speaker 4: But if Robbie was drinking out of a straw?
- 21:45Speaker 3: I'd love it. I'd be like, I wish I was
- 21:47Speaker 3: that straw. Give me some of that straw.
- 21:50Speaker 4: Oh, it's risky asking me that.
- 21:52Speaker 3: I'm like literally obsessed with marriage. Like I wish I
- 21:54Speaker 3: would have done it sooner.
- 21:54Speaker 4: Oh, that's so cute.
- 21:57Speaker 5: I know.
- 21:57Speaker 4: Do you tell him that? All the time.
- 21:59Speaker 5: Great.
- 22:00Speaker 4: Does he feel the same?
- 22:01Speaker 3: Yeah, he just doesn't say it all the time.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Have you mentioned the body pillow situation?
- 22:06Speaker 4: What?
- 22:06Speaker 2: On this particular program?
- 22:08Speaker 5: No.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Tanya wants Robbie to sleep with a body pillow.
- 22:12Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Robbie does not want to sleep with a body pillow.
- 22:14Speaker 2: And that should be, to me, the end of the conversation.
- 22:17Speaker 4: Right.
- 22:17Speaker 2: However, it is not.
- 22:19Speaker 4: Why?
- 22:21Speaker 3: My sleep has been exponentially changed. For the rest of
- 22:27Speaker 3: my life because of this pillow. Like it is the
- 22:30Speaker 3: best sleep I have ever had. I will sleep with
- 22:34Speaker 3: this pillow for the rest of my life. Like I
- 22:37Speaker 3: love it. So why would I not want my partner,
- 22:40Speaker 3: my precious little angel partner, to have this amazing sleep
- 22:43Speaker 3: like I am having?
- 22:44Speaker 2: Because he doesn't want that.
- 22:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:48Speaker 3: He doesn't know what he wants.
- 22:50Speaker 4: But is he sleeping fine?
- 22:52Speaker 3: He could sleep better.
- 22:54Speaker 4: Why don't you just let him use yours for the night?
- 22:56Speaker 4: I'm trying.
- 22:57Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. I'm not going to buy you one.
- 22:59Speaker 3: Why don't you just sleep with mine, even though I
- 23:00Speaker 3: don't want to give it up for the night, but
- 23:01Speaker 3: I would just give it up so you could get addicted,
- 23:04Speaker 3: feel how it feels.
- 23:05Speaker 4: But does he sleep? Because you sleep on your side. Oh,
- 23:08Speaker 4: he does? Like this. It looks peaceful.
- 23:12Speaker 3: It is peaceful, but imagine like....
- 23:16Speaker 4: Sometimes you just have to let people come to their
- 23:18Speaker 4: decisions on their own.
- 23:19Speaker 3: It goes in between your legs. It wraps around your arms.
- 23:22Speaker 3: It's like the most amazing... Let.
- 23:26Speaker 4: Me try it. Becca. Send me the link. You.
- 23:30Speaker 3: Would be obsessed with it because it goes between your legs,
- 23:33Speaker 3: but like your whole leg. So like your leg is
- 23:35Speaker 3: like laying, your top leg is like laying on a
- 23:38Speaker 3: full on pillow. And then your arm, you know, when
- 23:40Speaker 3: you're sleeping on your side, everything's like squished over. It's
- 23:43Speaker 3: not because you have this nice pillow to like put
- 23:45Speaker 3: your arm around. And then the other one goes around it.
- 23:47Speaker 3: So it's like, you're not getting a dead arm or
- 23:49Speaker 3: anything like that. And then you don't even need a pillow.
- 23:52Speaker 3: I do have a pillow, but you don't necessarily need
- 23:54Speaker 3: the pillow because it's there.
- 23:56Speaker 4: Wow.
- 23:56Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 23:57Speaker 4: Send me the link. I'll try it. If Robbie doesn't
- 23:59Speaker 4: want to. We were with someone and their little boy,
- 24:03Speaker 4: he likes to just wear a t-shirt and then nothing
- 24:07Speaker 4: on the bottom. I said, heard of people doing this.
- 24:13Speaker 3: And he doesn't want his shoulders to get cold.
- 24:15Speaker 4: No, and that's why I said he likes his shoulders.
- 24:17Speaker 4: I think he likes his shoulders warm from what I
- 24:19Speaker 4: hear from experience.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:22Speaker 3: I'm telling you though, like you're going to be absolutely shook.
- 24:26Speaker 4: I'm excited about it. I'm, I'm, I wouldn't say I'm
- 24:29Speaker 4: an amazing sleeper, so I'm willing to try new things.
- 24:32Speaker 3: It does hinder cuddle time a little bit because now
- 24:37Speaker 3: instead of like when we watch TV, we would like cuddle.
- 24:39Speaker 3: Now I'm just like in my cocoon.
- 24:40Speaker 4: Oh, well we cuddle, watch TV and then I normally
- 24:44Speaker 4: fall asleep and then I.
- 24:46Speaker 3: Go into your side.
- 24:47Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:47Speaker 5: Okay.
- 24:47Speaker 3: So perfect.
- 24:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:49Speaker 3: Just keep it there.
- 24:49Speaker 4: Okay. I'll just keep it on the side of me.
- 24:52Speaker 3: And Sunny loves it too. She just gets like right
- 24:54Speaker 3: in there. She picks me more now because she, like,
- 24:57Speaker 3: loves the pillow.
- 24:58Speaker 4: Well, to your motives.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:01Speaker 4: Well, yeah, send me the link. Send me your shop line.
- 25:03Speaker 2: I'm happy to.
- 25:03Speaker 3: I'm going to give you, because I have had two.
- 25:05Speaker 3: The second one that I got is, like, even fluffier and, like, better.
- 25:09Speaker 4: What brand is it?
- 25:10Speaker 5: No idea.
- 25:10Speaker 3: I got them on Amazon.
- 25:11Speaker 5: Oh, okay.
- 25:12Speaker 3: Can't wait to try.
- 25:13Speaker 4: Okay.
- 25:14Speaker 3: Get a cover for it, though, so you wash that.
- 25:17Speaker 4: Oh.
- 25:18Speaker 3: I'll send you both links.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Okay.
- 25:19Speaker 4: Can't wait.
- 25:20Speaker 5: Got you.
- 25:21Speaker 4: We're going to, I think, attempt the number game. Again,
- 25:25Speaker 4: is that what we're doing?
- 25:26Speaker 2: That's what I was told to do, and I have
- 25:28Speaker 2: numbers prepared for the two of you.
- 25:29Speaker 4: Okay, great. People seem to like it, and hopefully we
- 25:33Speaker 4: get some better, less mathy questions from Tanya today.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Less mathy.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Let's sit back and relax.
- 25:38Speaker 4: Here we go.
- 25:38Speaker 2: All right.
- 26:00Speaker 4: We just tried to do the number game and it
- 26:02Speaker 4: was just a disaster.
- 26:03Speaker 3: Yeah, we won't be playing that again.
- 26:06Speaker 4: We tried. We tried. And I think the first one
- 26:09Speaker 4: was entertaining because Tanya was asking the craziest questions. But
- 26:12Speaker 4: beyond that, we're not very good at it. So we're
- 26:15Speaker 4: actually just going to do the birthday game today.
- 26:19Speaker 5: Mark!
- 26:19Speaker 4: Which is where Tanya thrives. Thrives. So that's what we're
- 26:24Speaker 4: going to do.
- 26:25Speaker 2: All right, here we go. I will give you a celebrity.
- 26:27Speaker 2: You will guess the age. The other will say higher
- 26:29Speaker 2: or lower. Since Easton is not here, we'll be playing
- 26:31Speaker 2: higher or lower style. Tanya goes first, since she probably
- 26:36Speaker 2: didn't win last time. Is that fair?
- 26:39Speaker 4: I think she's pretty good, but yeah, she always goes first.
- 26:41Speaker 2: All right, here we go. Blake Lively, Tanya, how old
- 26:45Speaker 2: did she turn on Tuesday?
- 26:48Speaker 3: Blake Lively turned 39 years old on Tuesday.
- 26:50Speaker 2: That's right. See, she already knew that.
- 26:52Speaker 4: Yeah, obviously.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Why?
- 26:54Speaker 3: Because she's my age.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Oh, okay. Well, I guess you get a point. I'm
- 26:59Speaker 2: not sure any of our games are working today. All right, Becca,
- 27:03Speaker 2: Jack Black has a birthday. I get a point. I
- 27:05Speaker 2: gave it to you.
- 27:05Speaker 4: Did you not hear the ding, ding, ding? Why is
- 27:07Speaker 4: that not working?
- 27:08Speaker 2: Jack Black, how old is he turning on Thursday? Today. Hey,
- 27:12Speaker 2: Jack Black, happy birthday.
- 27:15Speaker 3: This is tough.
- 27:15Speaker 4: This is a tough one. I'm going to say Jack
- 27:20Speaker 4: Black's turning 54. He is not 54.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Is he older or younger, Tanya?
- 27:25Speaker 3: Older.
- 27:25Speaker 2: He is 57. 2-0, Tanya. That's great.
- 27:29Speaker 3: 2-0, Tanya. All right.
- 27:32Speaker 2: See, some of these I think might be. Okay, here's
- 27:34Speaker 2: a good one. Tanya. Melissa McCarthy. Birthday this week.
- 27:40Speaker 3: 57.
- 27:41Speaker 2: Not 57. Older or younger, Becca?
- 27:44Speaker 4: She's younger.
- 27:45Speaker 2: She's 56. Very nice.
- 27:46Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Becca's on the board.
- 27:48Speaker 4: Two for Tanya, one for Becca.
- 27:52Speaker 2: Let's go with Tanya. No, this is yours, Becca. Macaulay Culkin,
- 27:58Speaker 2: star of Home Alone. Macaulay Culkin. How old is Macaulay
- 28:02Speaker 2: Culkin turning this week?
- 28:03Speaker 5: 42.
- 28:08Speaker 2: He's not 42. Is he older or younger, Tanya? He's 46. Oh,
- 28:11Speaker 2: my God.
- 28:11Speaker 5: Looks great.
- 28:12Speaker 4: Tanya's on the break.
- 28:15Speaker 2: She's up three to one, and that's, of course, we
- 28:16Speaker 2: play first to four. We play a best of seven. Becca,
- 28:21Speaker 2: Cameron Diaz. Birthday this week.
- 28:28Speaker 5: 49. 49.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Tanya, for the win.
- 28:33Speaker 5: Alder.
- 28:33Speaker 2: 54 years old. Oh, my God. I just smoked you.
- 28:40Speaker 3: You know what they call that?
- 28:40Speaker 4: They call that cooked.
- 28:42Speaker 3: You know what they call that? They call that toasted.
- 28:44Speaker 3: You know what they call that? They call that mogged.
- 28:48Speaker 5: Wow.
- 28:49Speaker 4: That's what mogged means?
- 28:50Speaker 3: I'm not sure.
- 28:51Speaker 4: Oh.
- 28:51Speaker 2: I don't think exactly, but it's close enough, I think.
- 28:54Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not so far off.
- 28:55Speaker 2: It's showing up other people.
- 28:56Speaker 4: I thought mogged was when you're looking at the camera.
- 28:58Speaker 3: Yeah, that's mogging, too.
- 28:59Speaker 2: That's mugging.
- 29:00Speaker 3: Oh, that's the same thing, mogging, too.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Mogging is just showing up to people around you.
- 29:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:06Speaker 4: Oh, I see.
- 29:07Speaker 3: You can do that in a photo.
- 29:08Speaker 4: Like you're mogging them.
- 29:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:10Speaker 4: The rest of the people.
- 29:11Speaker 3: Yes.
- 29:13Speaker 4: Congratulations.
- 29:14Speaker 3: Thank you. I'd like to thank.
- 29:15Speaker 4: Everyone's looking great out there in the world of Hollywood.
- 29:19Speaker 3: I'd like to thank my brain. And I'd like to thank.
- 29:26Speaker 4: Your pop culture knowledge instincts. Exactly.
- 29:28Speaker 3: Yeah. All the years of watching television. Cameron Diaz, I
- 29:33Speaker 3: knew she was older than whatever you guessed. 40 something.
- 29:38Speaker 5: I know.
- 29:39Speaker 4: Well, I'm trying to gloat. I'm trying to think of
- 29:42Speaker 4: like I was trying to think of how old I
- 29:44Speaker 4: was when I was watching Home Alone. And but I
- 29:48Speaker 4: didn't realize I was that much younger. Yeah.
- 29:51Speaker 3: So the Home Alone thing, I was just like, he's
- 29:53Speaker 3: just it seems a hair older than me.
- 29:57Speaker 4: But he's not just a hair older than you.
- 29:59Speaker 3: A hair and then add a hair.
- 30:00Speaker 4: He's almost a decade older than you. But, yeah, Cameron
- 30:06Speaker 4: Diaz and Jack Black really blew me away.
- 30:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 30:09Speaker 3: Cameron Diaz because I feel like articles always make it
- 30:11Speaker 3: a big deal about her age.
- 30:13Speaker 5: Oh, of course.
- 30:14Speaker 3: I know. It's so annoying.
- 30:15Speaker 4: You really can't win.
- 30:16Speaker 3: No, you can't.
- 30:18Speaker 4: Congrats to you and yours.
- 30:20Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 30:21Speaker 4: I hope you take that with you for the weekend
- 30:23Speaker 4: and carry that energy. A winner attitude.
- 30:26Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 30:27Speaker 4: And that's all we have for today, folks. That's all
- 30:29Speaker 4: for this week. I'm going to be gone.
