- 0:23Speaker 1: It is time leave your worries outside and join us
- 0:28Speaker 1: inside the treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley along with Trey Trenholm
- 0:32Speaker 1: and Raj Sharma with some exciting pre show slash pre
- 0:41Speaker 1: flight news dropping into the treehouse right before we hit
- 0:46Speaker 1: record today. And that is the news of yet another
- 0:50Speaker 1: diarrhea flight on Delta Airlines.
- 0:54Speaker 2: What the hell is going on with Delta? I I'm
- 1:05Speaker 2: trying to find a way not to sound like Jerry Seinfield.
- 1:08Speaker 1: I'm trying to find Seinfeld effort. Whatever. Got too much
- 1:11Speaker 1: coffee my system?
- 1:12Speaker 3: Right now?
- 1:13Speaker 1: What's going on with all these planes in the diarrhea?
- 1:20Speaker 1: A Delta passenger disaster. Another severe diarrhea incident has forced
- 1:26Speaker 1: an emergency you turn over the Atlantic. This actually happened
- 1:35Speaker 1: almost no, Actually I take it back. I almost said
- 1:40Speaker 1: almost a week ago, but I forgot about maybe the
- 1:42Speaker 1: time difference or something. This says Friday Nights Delta flight
- 1:46Speaker 1: one twelve Boston to Rome. It appears to have turned
- 1:52Speaker 1: back over the Atlantic two hours after departure, diverting to
- 1:55Speaker 1: New York when a passenger reportedly had severe bouts of
- 1:59Speaker 1: diarrhea all over their seat.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Boy.
- 2:04Speaker 1: This incident on board and Airbus A three thirty. You know,
- 2:08Speaker 1: somewhere Boeing's saying, we have problems enough on our own.
- 2:17Speaker 1: We don't need diarrhea on top of all of our
- 2:19Speaker 1: other issues.
- 2:23Speaker 4: Uh.
- 2:23Speaker 1: This incident on board and Airbus A three thirty was
- 2:26Speaker 1: deemed a medical issue. Biohazards have been a common theme recently,
- 2:31Speaker 1: given Delta getting passengers sick from moldy chicken and several
- 2:37Speaker 1: diarrhea flights, several m sikes.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Moldy chicken.
- 2:44Speaker 5: Okay, yeah, I think that was deemed the cause of
- 2:48Speaker 5: the last one of these. We talked about like a
- 2:50Speaker 5: couple of months ago. So they served the passengers moldy chicken.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Isn't that obvious? Like, if you have chicken and it's moldy,
- 2:59Speaker 1: that's obvious, is right.
- 3:01Speaker 4: If there's a sauce or something on it, I don't
- 3:03Speaker 4: think you'd be able to see it. Right. And then
- 3:07Speaker 4: how fast is the uh I guess gut reaction to
- 3:13Speaker 4: the moldy Is it that quick? Because I thought it
- 3:16Speaker 4: took a few hours for food poisoning to hit you.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Yeah, but I mean in this in this situation, it
- 3:21Speaker 1: said that they had to turn the plane around two
- 3:25Speaker 1: hours into the flight, right, So.
- 3:28Speaker 5: It seems like they would have served food probably like
- 3:30Speaker 5: an hour in Yeah. Uh so yeah that isn't because
- 3:36Speaker 5: especially for it to cause diarrhea, it definitely seems like
- 3:39Speaker 5: it would take a couple hours after you ate.
- 3:42Speaker 3: Yeah, work its way through. Yeah.
- 3:44Speaker 1: If I'm Delta, I'm really gotta. I've really got to
- 3:48Speaker 1: work to get in front of this story instead of
- 3:50Speaker 1: staying behind it. Sorry. Sorry. And the way they do
- 3:56Speaker 1: that is they need to they need to say not us,
- 4:01Speaker 1: this was terminal food. This was not Delta food. That
- 4:05Speaker 1: was This was some sort of weird sandwich Kiosk five
- 4:10Speaker 1: gates away and they're the ones serving the questionable lettuce
- 4:13Speaker 1: or something.
- 4:16Speaker 3: I was thinking the same thing.
- 4:17Speaker 4: I'm like, I wonder if it because both flights didn't
- 4:20Speaker 4: obviously leave from Boston. But I was thinking, like, what
- 4:22Speaker 4: if you were that restaurant next to the Delta gate
- 4:27Speaker 4: and every single time you're you're creating uh this poop damage.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Well maybe not name your cafe the turnaround or or
- 4:41Speaker 1: the diarrhea.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Hut, don't eat there.
- 4:47Speaker 1: If if you are at an airport and somewhere in
- 4:51Speaker 1: that terminal, there's a place to eat, that says Apostrophe
- 4:56Speaker 1: Rhea's Cafe. Don't eat there, bottoms up. That's the bar
- 5:03Speaker 1: next door. They serve the crap cocktails.
- 5:08Speaker 3: It's the boba place called Bubble Guts.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Can we just stay real quick? How nasty the boba
- 5:15Speaker 1: tea is? Okay?
- 5:16Speaker 4: Yes?
- 5:17Speaker 5: Yeah, At least flights had originated out of Mexico, no
- 5:19Speaker 5: one would.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Have It's expected.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Your fault if you know, at what.
- 5:28Speaker 5: Point does Delta start just uh stalking their planes with
- 5:33Speaker 5: adult diapers?
- 5:36Speaker 4: Now?
- 5:38Speaker 1: I think I think now is the time. I think
- 5:40Speaker 1: you've got enough red flags that you need to do
- 5:42Speaker 1: something about it and uh and not put not put
- 5:46Speaker 1: your poor flight crew and other passengers through this. My god.
- 5:52Speaker 4: Yeah, it's it's just like you know, you have business class,
- 5:55Speaker 4: you know, premium coaches, so that there's gonna be there's
- 5:58Speaker 4: going to be an option, I'm sure online and someday
- 6:00Speaker 4: we'll be like plug or no plug.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Well, that'll be the different options because first class will get,
- 6:07Speaker 1: you know, the hot towel on the face, and the
- 6:09Speaker 1: adult diaper economy gets no hot towel and a plug.
- 6:16Speaker 1: That's the difference.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Just a stopper, all right.
- 6:23Speaker 5: Are we talking about a plug for your nose or
- 6:25Speaker 5: a plug for your butt.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, you're gonna get both.
- 6:33Speaker 4: And this is when you this is when you start
- 6:35Speaker 4: letting the passengers use the first class bathroom because they
- 6:37Speaker 4: don't let people do that.
- 6:38Speaker 3: They're like, where are you sitting?
- 6:40Speaker 4: And I've seen it happen a billion times where somebody
- 6:43Speaker 4: will get up and try to use the first and
- 6:44Speaker 4: they'll stop them.
- 6:45Speaker 3: I'm like, see if he could.
- 6:46Speaker 4: I'm just saying, if he could have just got up there,
- 6:49Speaker 4: because the rest of this plane has to use the
- 6:51Speaker 4: two in the back.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Right, that's been me. I've done that, not with the
- 6:55Speaker 1: diarrhea situation, but I've been sitting like two rows behind
- 7:00Speaker 1: the first class curtain, right yeah, and first class is
- 7:03Speaker 1: like eight or ten rows, I remember exactly. You know
- 7:05Speaker 1: the size of the plane. But the bathroom's right there. Yes,
- 7:08Speaker 1: So I start to go. And this was years ago,
- 7:11Speaker 1: and I didn't know that you were not allowed to
- 7:13Speaker 1: break the curtain and go into the first class area
- 7:16Speaker 1: to use the closest toilet. I found out thanks to
- 7:21Speaker 1: a snooty flight attendant, you know, rushing up to me
- 7:24Speaker 1: like a bouncer at a nightclub saying I'm sorry, Sarria,
- 7:29Speaker 1: you can't come in here. I'm like, I'm just I'm
- 7:31Speaker 1: just going to the bathroom. I'm not trying to steal
- 7:33Speaker 1: a seat. And they're like, no, you have to use
- 7:34Speaker 1: the and they do the two finger thing. You have
- 7:36Speaker 1: to use the laboratory at the rear of the aircraft. Yes,
- 7:41Speaker 1: And then so I stopped and I looked at her,
- 7:44Speaker 1: and I'm like, she and I make eye contact, and
- 7:47Speaker 1: I look up at the little light for the bathroom
- 7:50Speaker 1: that's green, meaning it's open. And then I turned my
- 7:53Speaker 1: head all the way back, looking about thirty plus rows
- 7:58Speaker 1: all the way back to the bathrooms in the back
- 8:01Speaker 1: of the plane. And then I look back at her,
- 8:04Speaker 1: and I look back up at the green light at
- 8:06Speaker 1: the available one and looked back at her and I said, really,
- 8:10Speaker 1: m She said exactly, That's exactly what you said.
- 8:14Speaker 4: Yeah, but let me but can I can I tell
- 8:17Speaker 4: you this when you aren't in first class or business class? Uh?
- 8:23Speaker 3: And somebody does.
- 8:24Speaker 4: I've I've been this guy where I'm like, he's not,
- 8:28Speaker 4: he's not, he's not, he's not sitting here. I don't
- 8:30Speaker 4: know why he's he's using our bathroom.
- 8:34Speaker 1: You snooty bitch. Yes, that just you know what though,
- 8:38Speaker 1: that just goes to show the only way for someone
- 8:41Speaker 1: like me an economy to get up to first class
- 8:43Speaker 1: is to.
- 8:43Speaker 4: Die or crap your pants.
- 8:48Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 8:49Speaker 1: I think if you crap your pants that's when they
- 8:51Speaker 1: send you all the way to the back.
- 8:53Speaker 4: Yes, And if you die, they just wrap you up
- 8:55Speaker 4: and put you in a bathroom and shut the door.
- 8:58Speaker 4: So it's kind of oh, I.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Thought they've moved you up to the first class.
- 9:02Speaker 4: No, No, they just go take you to the back
- 9:04Speaker 4: bathroom and wrap you up, and then they have like
- 9:07Speaker 4: a little body bag thing that they is on every
- 9:09Speaker 4: plane when they zip you up and they put you
- 9:12Speaker 4: in the well.
- 9:13Speaker 1: I bet that's a fun experience for people between the
- 9:17Speaker 1: dead person in the bathroom because they're just getting pulled
- 9:20Speaker 1: down the center aisle.
- 9:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:23Speaker 4: But yeah, I have done that. I'm guilty of the
- 9:26Speaker 4: you don't need to be using our bathroom peasant. I've
- 9:32Speaker 4: had that. It's the group thing, mentality, It's what happens.
- 9:35Speaker 4: I understand it.
- 9:36Speaker 1: It actually kind of makes sense because you're into material things.
- 9:39Speaker 1: We learned earlier this week that you would absolutely love
- 9:42Speaker 1: to live in a Gucci apartment. Absolutely, I can tell
- 9:45Speaker 1: by your upside down Dallas baseball hat that you're wearing,
- 9:49Speaker 1: that that you know you're on the snooty train.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Mm hmm, thank you. I saw it.
- 9:55Speaker 4: I saw I saw Dak wearing it, and I was like,
- 9:57Speaker 4: I gotta, I gotta get one of these.
- 9:59Speaker 1: The funny thing is you raise your hand up to
- 10:01Speaker 1: point out the hat. There's a massive ring on your
- 10:04Speaker 1: finger that looks like you want a super Bowl and
- 10:06Speaker 1: I know you haven't.
- 10:07Speaker 4: Yes, I have.
- 10:10Speaker 3: I have not.
- 10:12Speaker 4: Champion in my mind. Yeah, but I mean I have,
- 10:18Speaker 4: and I feel bad, like and then I've and I've
- 10:20Speaker 4: gone back into economy where I you know, I was like,
- 10:23Speaker 4: you know, what f those guys and their private bathroom.
- 10:27Speaker 4: But then I've gone up to first class when they've
- 10:29Speaker 4: moved me up or uh you know promoter you know,
- 10:33Speaker 4: spends a little extra money to bring me out and
- 10:35Speaker 4: puts me in and I'm like, you stay back there.
- 10:37Speaker 5: I'm sorry. I'm gonna call BS on this one. You
- 10:41Speaker 5: chose to go back to economy or you just didn't
- 10:43Speaker 5: get the upgrade.
- 10:45Speaker 3: I mean, it's however you want to see it.
- 10:55Speaker 7: Listening to the Treehouse because it is online, that Treehouse
- 10:59Speaker 7: on air dot.
- 11:03Speaker 1: That's real talk right there. Let's talk about our friends
- 11:12Speaker 1: at fair Lease, Fair Lease. If it's time for you
- 11:15Speaker 1: to get a new car, whether you're oh, try you're
- 11:18Speaker 1: looking at me, ye it's Thursday or not Friday. I
- 11:22Speaker 1: did so good.
- 11:23Speaker 8: I was like I did.
- 11:25Speaker 3: I was proud of you, and they've.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Got my commercial ready to go. We can record it
- 11:28Speaker 1: live the way I've been wanting to to do it
- 11:30Speaker 1: on the wrong goddamn day, motherfuck.
- 11:33Speaker 4: And you were The look on your face is like
- 11:35Speaker 4: you were so proud of your brain. And then because's
- 11:39Speaker 4: face is like you shouldn't be because you got to
- 11:43Speaker 4: see it in action.
- 11:45Speaker 1: You got to see you got to see the little
- 11:47Speaker 1: figurative light bulb go off over my head. When it's
- 11:51Speaker 1: time to do my spot, I remembered it. I'm so
- 11:52Speaker 1: happy and proud I remember to do my spot. But
- 11:55Speaker 1: it's not time for their spot. That's not until tomorrow.
- 11:58Speaker 4: But the joy you're like, you know, let's talk about cars.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Like your face was hauled up and you were smiling.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Like you know what's interesting because here I got an
- 12:05Speaker 1: interesting look into your guys' personalities being vastly different. Raj.
- 12:11Speaker 1: You were excited for me, and we're just gonna let
- 12:13Speaker 1: me go. He looked happy. You're like the guy that's
- 12:16Speaker 1: like the umpire at the special needs baseball game. We're
- 12:19Speaker 1: all just here having fun. Yeah, let him have fun.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Let them all they're all home runs. Trey, on the
- 12:23Speaker 1: other hand's like, no, you struck out. Get your ass
- 12:25Speaker 1: in the dugout. Trey says, stop you idiot, You're on
- 12:28Speaker 1: the wrong day.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Yeah, Tray's the guy.
- 12:31Speaker 5: I just raised my eyes.
- 12:33Speaker 3: It's true, that's all he did.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Trey. Your eyebrow goes higher than delta turnaround place.
- 12:42Speaker 5: I was hoping you would look at that and go,
- 12:44Speaker 5: oh shit, it's the wrong day. Yeah, But otherwise I
- 12:47Speaker 5: was gonna let you just go with it like a tomorrow.
- 12:51Speaker 4: I was just so proud of dancing with the big pencil.
- 12:54Speaker 3: He's getting it.
- 12:55Speaker 4: He's so excited about Fairleies. We can probably edit that
- 12:57Speaker 4: and move it to a different day. Let the commercial.
- 13:01Speaker 1: No, not us. No, We're just gonna call it up
- 13:03Speaker 1: for the stupid that it is, because that's how we
- 13:05Speaker 1: rolled in here. All right, line, just regular break. Then
- 13:19Speaker 1: let's get Daniel Cook into the treehouse. Eight three three
- 13:22Speaker 1: Cook DFW the website. Cook at DFW dot com for
- 13:25Speaker 1: your free roof inspection. Obviously, it's easy to do roof
- 13:28Speaker 1: inspections when it's nice outside, but when it's a little
- 13:31Speaker 1: rainy and the weather's not as nice, especially with the rain,
- 13:35Speaker 1: as a homeowner, you can look up and almost do
- 13:37Speaker 1: your own roof inspection because if you're seeing something that
- 13:40Speaker 1: wasn't there before, then they need to give you a call.
- 13:43Speaker 6: Right absolutely, And that just happened today. Actually we were
- 13:47Speaker 6: called out a person at selling their home. They had
- 13:52Speaker 6: somebody come out and check it out last week, of
- 13:54Speaker 6: course when it was bright and beautiful and sunny, and
- 13:56Speaker 6: they thought they had found some damage that was going
- 13:59Speaker 6: to be consistent of weather and an insurance claim. And
- 14:04Speaker 6: so they the cellar called us out because they trusted
- 14:07Speaker 6: us and they used us before, and they said, hey,
- 14:09Speaker 6: can you come out and check my roof out. I
- 14:11Speaker 6: know you do a lot of roofing and I like
- 14:13Speaker 6: you to see it and see what happened. So as
- 14:14Speaker 6: what we got out there, lo and behold, it's not
- 14:17Speaker 6: weather damage that the other company found. They were hanging
- 14:21Speaker 6: up Christmas lights on their roof every year, and whoever
- 14:25Speaker 6: they used to do that were scooting around the edge
- 14:28Speaker 6: of the roof. The entire around the edge, and it
- 14:31Speaker 6: scooted off pretty much all the shingle granulars around the
- 14:35Speaker 6: entire edge of the roof where they're how you hanging
- 14:37Speaker 6: Christmas lights up, So it made it look like the
- 14:40Speaker 6: shingles were in terrible condition. But if the person that
- 14:43Speaker 6: inspected at first would have gone up the roof about
- 14:45Speaker 6: another eight or ten feet, the roof is in great shape.
- 14:48Speaker 6: So all around the whole sides and edges are tore up,
- 14:51Speaker 6: but it's gonna be some repairs.
- 14:53Speaker 5: That's it.
- 14:54Speaker 6: That's all they need to have done.
- 14:55Speaker 1: And I think that's an important thing to really shine
- 14:58Speaker 1: a light on, because you're not gonna come in there
- 15:01Speaker 1: and just tell someone, oh, you need a new roof.
- 15:03Speaker 1: You're gonna go in there and assess the situation for
- 15:05Speaker 1: as it is and tell them exactly what needs to happen,
- 15:09Speaker 1: not what you want to happen, so you can end
- 15:11Speaker 1: up on a megayacht retired by the time you're sixty.
- 15:14Speaker 1: You're gonna do the right thing, as tempting as that is.
- 15:16Speaker 1: You're gonna do the right thing for the client. I
- 15:19Speaker 1: don't want to be on that mega yacht that just
- 15:21Speaker 1: think though, No, you want to make sure you get
- 15:22Speaker 1: the good captains.
- 15:24Speaker 6: Right right, not the one that jumps off first.
- 15:27Speaker 1: No, all right, give Daniel look call for all that
- 15:30Speaker 1: roofing expertise eight three three Cook d f W the
- 15:33Speaker 1: website cookdfw dot com.
- 15:42Speaker 8: You're in good Treehouse visit us online at Treehouse on
- 15:47Speaker 8: air dot com.
- 15:52Speaker 1: First segment it's brought to us by fairles not the
- 15:57Speaker 1: actual commercial, but you know, the first second brought to
- 16:00Speaker 1: us by Fairleas, and we appreciate them and all that
- 16:05Speaker 1: they do. So if you need a new vehicle, contact
- 16:08Speaker 1: our friends at Fairleas fairly dot org. SHUTUPRAJH. If you're
- 16:13Speaker 1: already into leasing and you're coming to the end of
- 16:16Speaker 1: your lease and ready for a new vehicle, Fairlea's is
- 16:19Speaker 1: the way to go. If you've never done leasing, now's
- 16:22Speaker 1: the time because unless unless you pay off your car
- 16:27Speaker 1: and then drive it for a bunch of time after that,
- 16:29Speaker 1: you're already leasing a car. You're just paying the bank
- 16:33Speaker 1: for it and then getting upside down in it. So
- 16:36Speaker 1: contact our friends at fair Lease. They'll help you save
- 16:38Speaker 1: time and money. Go to fairlease dot org. That's fair
- 16:40Speaker 1: lease dot org. Thank you very much. We actually can
- 16:46Speaker 1: use the new diarrhea flight that left Boston and had
- 16:51Speaker 1: to turn around over the Atlantic on its way to
- 16:54Speaker 1: Rome as an excuse to do our own little tree
- 16:58Speaker 1: house throw back Thursday, because it is almost exactly one
- 17:04Speaker 1: year ago that the first Delta diarrhea flight we had
- 17:09Speaker 1: heard of debuted came out, So.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Yes it did.
- 17:20Speaker 1: And speaking speaking of that, we are going to, uh,
- 17:23Speaker 1: we're gonna mop it up a little bit and bring
- 17:25Speaker 1: it back inside the treehouse because that's uh, any chance
- 17:29Speaker 1: we get to relive or re experience something, especially in
- 17:36Speaker 1: this case because the the chatter between the pilot and
- 17:42Speaker 1: air traffic control and the pilot trying to say, yeah,
- 17:45Speaker 1: it's bad up here, because air traffic control was trying
- 17:47Speaker 1: to say can you continue on your course and and
- 17:53Speaker 1: the pilot's like, no, man, it's bad. So this was
- 17:57Speaker 1: this was the the pilot to air traffic control almost
- 18:01Speaker 1: exactly one year ago when ADULTA flight left it Atlanta
- 18:06Speaker 1: on its way to Barcelona and never made it because
- 18:10Speaker 1: passenger had some unruly diarrhea.
- 18:15Speaker 9: Negative it's just a bio hazard issue. I you know,
- 18:18Speaker 9: we had a pestor we had diary all the ways
- 18:20Speaker 9: through the airplane. So they want us to come back
- 18:22Speaker 9: to Atlanta. Negative, it's just a bio hazard issue. I
- 18:26Speaker 9: you know, we had a pastor, we had diary all
- 18:28Speaker 9: the ways through the airplane. So they want us to
- 18:30Speaker 9: come back to.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Atlanta all the way through, all the way through the plane,
- 18:39Speaker 1: all the way through the plane. And in the story
- 18:43Speaker 1: about the recent one that happened last week where it
- 18:46Speaker 1: was Boston to Rome that had to turn around because
- 18:49Speaker 1: of a medical issue that was diarrhea, they showed video
- 18:57Speaker 1: from the flight last year that we didn't even and see.
- 19:03Speaker 1: And I'm not sure if I want to see it,
- 19:06Speaker 1: but but I'm gonna click on it anyway. I'm gonna
- 19:09Speaker 1: make you guys watch it with me.
- 19:10Speaker 4: Oh no, I will yeah, put my head down.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Oh, come on, you can do it.
- 19:15Speaker 10: No.
- 19:16Speaker 4: That is not cool, man, that is not cool. I
- 19:22Speaker 4: did not need to see that. And and does does
- 19:26Speaker 4: does the person get off the plane first or last
- 19:30Speaker 4: when they when they land? Because he had to give
- 19:33Speaker 4: it up to this this passenger for the new one,
- 19:35Speaker 4: he sat in his seat. He didn't he didn't diarrhea
- 19:38Speaker 4: through the plane.
- 19:39Speaker 8: Hm.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Well, we don't know what he did after he squirted.
- 19:44Speaker 4: I think they said he was in his I don't
- 19:45Speaker 4: want to see this.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Well, they said he had diarrhea all up in his seat,
- 19:49Speaker 1: but we don't know what happened, like did he stay
- 19:52Speaker 1: there or after he had gone, Like did he did
- 19:54Speaker 1: he hit the call.
- 19:55Speaker 3: Button his orders of bocotonic.
- 20:01Speaker 1: That's like it's already happened. I might as well just
- 20:03Speaker 1: you know, sitting in it.
- 20:04Speaker 5: And what happens if there's turbulence?
- 20:10Speaker 1: You mean turbulence? God, the older.
- 20:14Speaker 4: Week technically be a water landing, wouldn't it.
- 20:18Speaker 1: It'd be pretty bad if if his seat mates busted
- 20:21Speaker 1: out their life.
- 20:22Speaker 5: Preservers, everyone's probably gonna wih the mask would drop down.
- 20:28Speaker 1: The whole row. Yeah, they're just banging on the top
- 20:31Speaker 1: like please come down, please, I think. Okay, serious question.
- 20:39Speaker 1: If the passenger next to you on your flight is
- 20:41Speaker 1: having severe diarrhea in their seat, what do you do?
- 20:47Speaker 4: Yeah, that's I don't know, Uh, if I'm sitting next
- 20:51Speaker 4: to that person.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Yeah, if on your flight you're sitting next to someone
- 20:57Speaker 1: that starts having severe diarrhea, what do you do?
- 21:01Speaker 4: Well, I leave and test the strength of the door
- 21:09Speaker 4: on the Boeing flight to see if they've actually made
- 21:12Speaker 4: the upgrade. Yeah, well, obviously.
- 21:17Speaker 1: If it's a Boeing flight. The odds are in your favor.
- 21:19Speaker 4: Yes, either I jump out or I throw him out
- 21:23Speaker 4: o them. I don't want to discriminate them.
- 21:27Speaker 3: I throw them out.
- 21:29Speaker 4: I would hope that the person next to you is like,
- 21:31Speaker 4: hey man, I'm not feeling well.
- 21:33Speaker 3: You might want to get up.
- 21:36Speaker 1: It's interesting, though, because if the flight attendant comes back,
- 21:38Speaker 1: which if you throw a passenger out of the plane,
- 21:40Speaker 1: they're going to come to you and say what happened,
- 21:42Speaker 1: and you say I threw them out, she might say, oh,
- 21:45Speaker 1: that's very kind of you to respect their pronouns, whereas
- 21:49Speaker 1: you might just respond, well, I mean that dude in
- 21:52Speaker 1: his turns.
- 21:54Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 21:56Speaker 4: And he lands in the Atlantic, he washes off, it's
- 21:59Speaker 4: all good, everybody wins.
- 22:04Speaker 1: He's a clean corpse.
- 22:05Speaker 3: Yeah, and we make it to Barcelona.
- 22:08Speaker 1: I think. I think if I'm in that seat next
- 22:10Speaker 1: to him and he's on the aisle, and I think
- 22:13Speaker 1: I have to start just shoving him out into the aisle,
- 22:15Speaker 1: and if I have to, I will use my feet
- 22:18Speaker 1: and just kick push him out.
- 22:20Speaker 3: Yeah, but what if he gets on your shoes? He
- 22:23Speaker 3: got poop shoes.
- 22:26Speaker 1: I haven't thought this all the way through.
- 22:31Speaker 5: Yeah, number one. This is why I always want an
- 22:34Speaker 5: aisle seat.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Yes, and and tell us what number two is.
- 22:43Speaker 1: I'll show you what number two is.
- 22:45Speaker 5: Hang on.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Yeah, so this was from the flight a year ago.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Someone got video of Everyone takes video of everything nowadays,
- 22:56Speaker 1: especially on a plane. So here you go. This is
- 22:58Speaker 1: what it is. This is the diarrhea all up and
- 23:00Speaker 1: down the flight last year. Just it just you know
- 23:06Speaker 1: what it looks like. It looks anyone that's ever had
- 23:08Speaker 1: a dog that was sick, this is exactly what it
- 23:12Speaker 1: looks like because they dribble all the way in a line, right,
- 23:15Speaker 1: same thing on this flight. The person had the diarrhea
- 23:18Speaker 1: was dropping.
- 23:19Speaker 4: Was he not wearing pants?
- 23:22Speaker 3: Maybe?
- 23:22Speaker 1: You know, we see this whole time. We assumed it
- 23:24Speaker 1: was a male. This could have been a female wearing
- 23:27Speaker 1: a skirt. And it's just going straight down as she,
- 23:29Speaker 1: you know, duck walks to the to the nearest bathroom.
- 23:34Speaker 1: But it really does it just looks like you got
- 23:36Speaker 1: like what looks like paper towels and some plastic coverings
- 23:39Speaker 1: on each droplet station of diarrhea. Yeah that is who Yeah,
- 23:48Speaker 1: but I've had sick dogs like this before.
- 23:51Speaker 3: Wow, that is a lot.
- 23:54Speaker 1: I mean like that.
- 23:56Speaker 5: I would have needed three girls, two cups.
- 24:02Speaker 1: It's the sequel to Bring Your Friends.
- 24:05Speaker 4: Why I thought we were done with that one.
- 24:09Speaker 1: They invite a friend and she brings a home depot bucket.
- 24:13Speaker 1: What's the new slogan? Uh? Doers do more?
- 24:20Speaker 4: Oh gosh, poor poor person. I just I figured if
- 24:25Speaker 4: it was a guy that have pants on, so I
- 24:27Speaker 4: don't know how they're or did he just rip them off?
- 24:30Speaker 3: And I was like, I can't go in my pants.
- 24:33Speaker 1: This is again all the questions that we have around
- 24:35Speaker 1: a story, and no one's asking the important questions like
- 24:38Speaker 1: we do here in the Treehouse.
- 24:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I just need to know, and I know it
- 24:43Speaker 4: was making the last one was making the flight attendants sick.
- 24:48Speaker 4: This is that one from a year ago.
- 24:50Speaker 1: That the photos I just showed you was from a
- 24:52Speaker 1: year ago. Yeah, that was the whole plane sick. The
- 24:54Speaker 1: flight crew is sick. That's why they had to turn
- 24:56Speaker 1: the plane around, because it's a safety issue. If the
- 24:58Speaker 1: flight crew, which is your first line of safety people,
- 25:01Speaker 1: if they're all sick, they can't do their job. So
- 25:04Speaker 1: you got to turn around in case there's an actual
- 25:06Speaker 1: plane emergency happening.
- 25:08Speaker 3: Right, So I know it was it was causing them
- 25:10Speaker 3: to vomit.
- 25:11Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:11Speaker 4: So yeah, and then you've got to go back two hours.
- 25:16Speaker 4: So that was all there in this plane for two hours.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm surprised there wasn't a follow up story where
- 25:24Speaker 1: they said there was a mass walk out with the
- 25:26Speaker 1: company in charge of cleanups, where they it's all the guys,
- 25:31Speaker 1: you're just saying, like, this is way more than I
- 25:33Speaker 1: signed up for.
- 25:34Speaker 4: See, that's when you're in business class. You just asked
- 25:36Speaker 4: them for a little incense or some or some sprays
- 25:40Speaker 4: go about your your in flight meal.
- 25:43Speaker 1: A hot lavender towel.
- 25:45Speaker 4: Yeah, because they're not they're not gonna.
- 25:46Speaker 3: They're not gonna.
- 25:47Speaker 4: They're not gonna break the curtain.
- 25:48Speaker 3: It doesn't know.
- 25:49Speaker 1: And chances are that there's there's a first class emergency
- 25:52Speaker 1: button and it's a door that like comes down like
- 25:55Speaker 1: Star Trek or Star Wars ceiling off the rest of
- 25:59Speaker 1: the plane. And then like in Star Trek, you know
- 26:01Speaker 1: how like in emergency situations they can detach the bridge
- 26:04Speaker 1: from the rest of the of the ship. Yeah, I bet,
- 26:07Speaker 1: I bet first class can do that. They detached from
- 26:09Speaker 1: the rest of the plane, and the captain, everyone in
- 26:13Speaker 1: the cockpit and everyone in first class can just float
- 26:15Speaker 1: away onto their destination, leaving the rest of us and
- 26:18Speaker 1: coach to I don't know die.
- 26:20Speaker 4: Yeah, that would be nice, That would be lovely if
- 26:23Speaker 4: that could actually happen.
- 26:25Speaker 3: The Celia I.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Have, Yeah, I have an alternative if you're worried about
- 26:31Speaker 1: getting on a flight and it being overrun with diarrhea. Kay,
- 26:36Speaker 1: there's an alternate travel option that I have noticed recently.
- 26:40Speaker 1: And I want to see what you guys think about
- 26:42Speaker 1: this new form of redneck air travel. Okay, m h
- 26:48Speaker 1: m hmmm, here we go.
- 27:00Speaker 3: Yeah, just just when you.
- 27:07Speaker 4: Think white people can't outdo themselves, they make you.
- 27:11Speaker 3: Just you, guys, just.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Do they make They make a people catapult that shoots
- 27:15Speaker 1: people all up in the air and then dropping down
- 27:20Speaker 1: into the lake.
- 27:21Speaker 4: Yeah. I mean, kudos to you guys. You find different
- 27:26Speaker 4: ways to almost kill yourself.
- 27:29Speaker 1: It really is an impressive setup because they have what
- 27:31Speaker 1: looks to be uh they got a ramp, they've got
- 27:34Speaker 1: a seat in a chair, and you're not buckled in obviously,
- 27:37Speaker 1: because the idea is to shoot you into the air
- 27:40Speaker 1: as far as you can go. So then they released
- 27:44Speaker 1: the mechanism and off you go, yeah, into uh into
- 27:49Speaker 1: airspace where he may show up on radar depending on
- 27:52Speaker 1: the angle of the ramp uh and then you uh
- 27:55Speaker 1: splash land safely into the lake water below, and you're curious.
- 28:00Speaker 1: I believe this is one of the new travel options
- 28:04Speaker 1: from Spirit.
- 28:12Speaker 4: It's one way to get into the Gulf of Mexico.
- 28:15Speaker 4: That's one way to do it. See some somewhere there
- 28:20Speaker 4: was a redneck that had just one too many natty
- 28:23Speaker 4: lights and was like, you know what f the rope swing?
- 28:28Speaker 4: We got to come up with something better. And and
- 28:31Speaker 4: then this happened. It was like, do we have a
- 28:33Speaker 4: we have some a chair that we're not using, Like yep.
- 28:37Speaker 4: It's like, okay, do we have some hydraulics that we
- 28:40Speaker 4: don't need?
- 28:41Speaker 3: Yep?
- 28:42Speaker 4: And then this happens and it's going to be just
- 28:45Speaker 4: it's so I'm envious, Like.
- 28:49Speaker 3: You can ride it.
- 28:50Speaker 1: I'm sure we can build or find out where these
- 28:53Speaker 1: guys are. I'm sure they'd love to send a brown
- 28:56Speaker 1: Man flying into the lake.
- 28:57Speaker 3: It'd be the only time it'd be a legend was born.
- 29:00Speaker 4: This is the only time.
- 29:03Speaker 5: Are we sure this isn't one of the preliminary tests
- 29:05Speaker 5: of Boeing Starliner.
- 29:09Speaker 3: Wow, this is the new Delta pilot.
- 29:18Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I mean that's some serious distance on that
- 29:26Speaker 1: third on that third release. I mean, look, look, I
- 29:29Speaker 1: don't know if I've seen a better example of medieval
- 29:36Speaker 1: artillery technology being brought into the twenty first century. Yes,
- 29:40Speaker 1: and given new life.
- 29:42Speaker 4: Called redneck engineering. That is, that's a that's impressive. Like
- 29:47Speaker 4: I said, I find myself being envious of whoever created this.
- 29:50Speaker 1: And if you're curious how you can get your masters
- 29:55Speaker 1: or even your doctorate in redneck engineering, you just go
- 29:59Speaker 1: to the course catalog at your nearest junior college and
- 30:06Speaker 1: you just look up the class titled hold My Beer.
- 30:13Speaker 1: And then if you want the senior level course, it's
- 30:17Speaker 1: it's watched this four hundred.
- 30:21Speaker 5: For PhD, you have to go to the University of Alabama.
- 30:25Speaker 1: No specific class, just the school. Yeah, role time.
- 30:33Speaker 8: You're in the tree House, visit us online at Treehouseonair
- 30:37Speaker 8: dot com.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Let's get Jacqueline from Brooks Plumbing into the Treehouse now
- 30:48Speaker 1: for any and all of your plumbing once and needs.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Give her a call to one four thirty six eight
- 30:53Speaker 1: thirty eight thirty eight the website Brooks Plumbing, Texas dot com. Jacqueline,
- 30:57Speaker 1: I know it varies depending on the situation and the
- 31:00Speaker 1: crisis at hand. But when someone calls you at Brooks Plumbing,
- 31:04Speaker 1: usually about how long is it before you are able
- 31:06Speaker 1: to get someone out to give them a hand?
- 31:08Speaker 10: This is my favorite question. So we're same or next
- 31:11Speaker 10: day at the latest. However, for most people, the real emergency,
- 31:17Speaker 10: in my opinion, is when there's water act not like
- 31:20Speaker 10: sewer water, but like clean potable water in the house,
- 31:24Speaker 10: leaking from up to down, or from down to up
- 31:27Speaker 10: if it's a slably pushing in, if it is like
- 31:30Speaker 10: a massive I mean, let's say it's even a freeze break.
- 31:33Speaker 10: I love for people to know where their homeowner valve
- 31:37Speaker 10: boxes so they can shut the water on and off
- 31:39Speaker 10: by themselves. I always tell people go kick around the
- 31:43Speaker 10: mulch in your flower bed and see if you have one.
- 31:45Speaker 10: You're not guaranteed to have one, depending on how old
- 31:47Speaker 10: your house is, but go to home depot and buy
- 31:50Speaker 10: that eight to twelve dollars meter key that takes the
- 31:53Speaker 10: meter lid off. And I don't tell anyone I told
- 31:56Speaker 10: you to do it, But in an emergency, shut the
- 31:58Speaker 10: water off at the meter. We're case scenario. Hang up
- 32:01Speaker 10: with me and I'll tell you all the time, literally
- 32:04Speaker 10: dull nine one one, ask for the fire department, Say
- 32:06Speaker 10: my house is flooding. Send the fire department turn this
- 32:09Speaker 10: crap off, and they'll get their way faster than we are.
- 32:11Speaker 10: And it's not that I don't want to be the
- 32:13Speaker 10: one to come turn off your water, but I don't
- 32:14Speaker 10: want to make you wait an hour and a half
- 32:16Speaker 10: for me to send you somebody. If the fire department
- 32:19Speaker 10: has a station two streets over, and that's kind of
- 32:22Speaker 10: their job to serve the public. And so for me,
- 32:25Speaker 10: water is like an emergent urgent issue. Now sewer, If
- 32:29Speaker 10: you're sewer's clogged, that's emergent. That's an issue. If you're
- 32:32Speaker 10: a whole home stoppage, we're going to come same day
- 32:34Speaker 10: because we want you to stay in your house. I
- 32:37Speaker 10: can't necessarily guarantee a fixed same day if there's a break,
- 32:41Speaker 10: true emergency service always same or next day. We we
- 32:44Speaker 10: prioritize keeping people in their houses is the easiest way
- 32:48Speaker 10: to say it.
- 32:48Speaker 1: For those plumbing wants and obviously needs, you give Jacqueline
- 32:51Speaker 1: a call. Two one four three six eight thirty eight
- 32:53Speaker 1: thirty eight two one four three six eight thirty eight

- 33:40Speaker 1: from my programming notes for myself and then there and
- 33:46Speaker 1: now I am all set to go. In case you
- 33:53Speaker 1: have not noticed, I know I certainly did last time
- 33:57Speaker 1: I was in Dallas. Study found that rush hour is
- 34:01Speaker 1: an all day thing. Now, yeah, as we all, you know,
- 34:06Speaker 1: nod our heads, it's like, yep, yeah, sounds that sounds right,
- 34:09Speaker 1: And that's not really new. That's just sort of like
- 34:11Speaker 1: a newer realization. But I started noticing that, you know,
- 34:15Speaker 1: a handful of years ago. That Okay, so some traffic
- 34:19Speaker 1: gets a little bit heavier during you know, quote unquote
- 34:21Speaker 1: rush hour, but for the most part, it just sucks
- 34:24Speaker 1: all day, especially in the areas that we're all extremely
- 34:28Speaker 1: familiar with that suck all the time. Whether it's I
- 34:32Speaker 1: never remember what the spur is called, but the road
- 34:34Speaker 1: that goes in downtown Dallas going from seventy five to
- 34:37Speaker 1: thirty five and vice versa, Worth the Clyde Warren Deck
- 34:39Speaker 1: Park is that whole area that's always a mess. Doesn't
- 34:43Speaker 1: matter at the time of day. Six thirty five is
- 34:45Speaker 1: almost always guaranteed mess. I thirty five W and Western
- 34:49Speaker 1: Center and Fort Worth almost always a freaking nightmare. So yeah,
- 34:55Speaker 1: it's it just sucks all the time. Now, the good
- 34:57Speaker 1: news is, as we learned in the last segment, maybe
- 34:59Speaker 1: there's a new get to work option just you know,
- 35:04Speaker 1: get on the send me to work catapult.
- 35:08Speaker 4: Yes, it's also Having lived in Los Angeles for many,
- 35:13Speaker 4: many years, I can say this with the most confidence possible.
- 35:19Speaker 3: You guys, we don't have traffic here.
- 35:21Speaker 4: It's a small hiccup that could last between twenty to
- 35:25Speaker 4: forty minutes depending on the situation.
- 35:29Speaker 1: I will and that's under regular circumstances. There have been
- 35:32Speaker 1: extreme ones where people are start for hours, but that's
- 35:35Speaker 1: almost a common occurrence in La Right.
- 35:38Speaker 3: I'll give you an example.
- 35:40Speaker 4: I was flying to Dubai and it was a morning flight,
- 35:43Speaker 4: early early morning flight, so I had to be at
- 35:44Speaker 4: the airport at four am. So I left my house.
- 35:47Speaker 4: I was like, I'll leave an hour early. From my
- 35:50Speaker 4: front door in Sherman Oaks to Lax eighteen minutes is
- 35:54Speaker 4: all it took.
- 35:55Speaker 3: At three o'clock in the morning. I was like, oh,
- 35:56Speaker 3: super early.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:58Speaker 4: On the way back, I landed five thirty PM and
- 36:02Speaker 4: it took two hours and forty five minutes.
- 36:05Speaker 1: An eighteen minute drive yes, turned into almost three hours.
- 36:09Speaker 3: Yes.
- 36:10Speaker 1: The one time I had with severe LA traffic was
- 36:12Speaker 1: when I was I don't know, like twenty two, maybe
- 36:17Speaker 1: twenty one to twenty two going from we went to Disneyland,
- 36:24Speaker 1: which was what Orange County whatever, Anaheim, Anaheim. Yeah, going
- 36:29Speaker 1: from Anaheim to Studio City, m.
- 36:33Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the way. That's a that's a that'll take
- 36:35Speaker 3: a while.
- 36:36Speaker 1: That took four plus hours, Yes.
- 36:38Speaker 3: I don't doubt that. Yeah.
- 36:41Speaker 4: When I have to do like when I had to
- 36:42Speaker 4: do Hermosa Beach Comedy in Magic, which is in Orange
- 36:44Speaker 4: County as well, from my house, I would I would
- 36:48Speaker 4: have to leave on average about an hour and forty
- 36:50Speaker 4: five minutes before showtime to get there almost late.
- 36:55Speaker 1: On the flip side, even if there's no traffic getting
- 36:58Speaker 1: anywhere in Arlington on the side streets, we'll take fifteen
- 37:01Speaker 1: to twenty minutes easy. You can be going three blocks
- 37:03Speaker 1: and it'll take you ten minutes.
- 37:05Speaker 4: And everything's always under construction here. I don't understand like
- 37:08Speaker 4: they finish. When they finished seventy five, it was like
- 37:10Speaker 4: this big accomplishment made the news and they're like, oh,
- 37:13Speaker 4: we're starting some new stuff. Yeah, and it has on.
- 37:16Speaker 1: One day they celebrated that it was done, and then
- 37:19Speaker 1: the next day they broke ground on the new expansion.
- 37:22Speaker 5: Yes, it's what it seemed like. And then no, that
- 37:24Speaker 5: that is exactly the case. And it is that way
- 37:27Speaker 5: because it's a way a lot of road construction is.
- 37:32Speaker 5: If you say we're going to do something that is
- 37:35Speaker 5: going to, you know, be twenty years ahead, that costs
- 37:38Speaker 5: too much money. So they only want to do five
- 37:40Speaker 5: years ahead. And then of course once you get to
- 37:42Speaker 5: five years ahead, well now you need to do another
- 37:44Speaker 5: ten years like you're already behind. Yeah, and that's that's
- 37:48Speaker 5: where Texas Highways are.
- 37:49Speaker 3: Just yeah.
- 37:50Speaker 4: And my first day as city manager, I will stop
- 37:55Speaker 4: all funding for construction.
- 37:58Speaker 3: No more lately.
- 38:00Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know if they really even
- 38:01Speaker 1: do it.
- 38:01Speaker 10: Now.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Have you seen what they do with potholes in the
- 38:03Speaker 1: city of Dallas.
- 38:04Speaker 4: Yeah, I think you can go to a website and
- 38:06Speaker 4: they'll give you your like they'll pay for your tire.
- 38:09Speaker 4: Like I think there's an actual website now because it
- 38:12Speaker 4: happens so often that enough complaints were wild that they
- 38:15Speaker 4: finally just looked at some Indian guy and like, make.
- 38:18Speaker 3: Us a website. Yeah, and then pay these people back
- 38:20Speaker 3: for their tire.
- 38:21Speaker 1: So like they'll they'll go around and patch them sometimes. Yeah,
- 38:25Speaker 1: but then the way they do it seems like, uh,
- 38:28Speaker 1: you know, it's like they pulled a cowboy off a
- 38:30Speaker 1: Yellowstone ranch and have him just right in the hole
- 38:33Speaker 1: and then it lasts like twenty minutes and it's a
- 38:35Speaker 1: pothole again.
- 38:36Speaker 4: Yeah, you know it's bad. When Domino's was like, we'll
- 38:38Speaker 4: fix potholes.
- 38:42Speaker 5: I think they quit.
- 38:42Speaker 4: That's a commercial rent for like an hour and a half.
- 38:47Speaker 3: We can't, we can't do.
- 38:48Speaker 1: Yeah, they decided, you know what, we gave up on
- 38:50Speaker 1: fixing potholes as a pizza company. We decided to focus
- 38:53Speaker 1: our efforts on chicken wings.
- 38:55Speaker 4: We'll go we'll go bankrupt just in pleasant growth.
- 38:58Speaker 3: That's what. The roads are just really bad.
- 39:05Speaker 1: It's unreal how that stuff just it just continues and
- 39:08Speaker 1: it seems like it's never ending.
- 39:11Speaker 4: Yeah, my favorite is in India, Like they do the
- 39:13Speaker 4: same thing. It's a it's a cement mix that's like
- 39:17Speaker 4: predominantly dirt that they've you know, they've died black, so
- 39:21Speaker 4: it looks like asphalt. And they get these construction companies
- 39:25Speaker 4: that come in and out just through the roof bids,
- 39:28Speaker 4: like just just making tons of profit and it looks fantastic.
- 39:31Speaker 4: And then the next time it rains everything washes away.
- 39:35Speaker 4: It's fantastic. It's like they're not even trying to hide it.
- 39:38Speaker 4: They're like, yeah, it's not good.
- 39:41Speaker 1: If you've reached the end of your limits when it
- 39:45Speaker 1: comes to trying to get to work and running over
- 39:48Speaker 1: horrific potholes, and if the send me to work catapult
- 39:53Speaker 1: is not functioning, or perhaps you live too far away
- 39:56Speaker 1: from your job. There's actually a company that will your
- 40:00Speaker 1: job for you, okay, And I kind of feel like
- 40:05Speaker 1: this is something Trey could do for you. So instead
- 40:09Speaker 1: of hiring this company, I am certain in my bones
- 40:13Speaker 1: that Trey would absolutely love to quit your job for you,
- 40:17Speaker 1: because if there's anything that our very own trade trend
- 40:20Speaker 1: Home loves to do, it's the dog cuss people out.
- 40:26Speaker 5: Yeah, do you need a recommendation?
- 40:29Speaker 3: Right?
- 40:30Speaker 1: The first question in the trade trend Home, I'll quit
- 40:35Speaker 1: your job for.
- 40:35Speaker 3: You is.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Do you want a reference or do you want to
- 40:42Speaker 1: go out of a Blazer Glory because Blazer Glory option
- 40:44Speaker 1: Tray can do. But this is actually out of Japan.
- 40:48Speaker 1: There are several companies in Japan that will quit your
- 40:51Speaker 1: job for you. They call your employer, tell them you're leaving,
- 40:55Speaker 1: and even handle the details like your last day and
- 40:58Speaker 1: how to return company owned equipment. For now, the two
- 41:03Speaker 1: prominent companies offering the service in Japan, they say this
- 41:08Speaker 1: makes sense culturally, Japanese people can be less confrontational, especially
- 41:13Speaker 1: when they respect their boss or business and feel like
- 41:16Speaker 1: they may be letting people down by leaving. So again,
- 41:22Speaker 1: Trey is super confrontational if you are not. So if
- 41:28Speaker 1: if you need it, we got it.
- 41:31Speaker 3: Can you just not show up?
- 41:33Speaker 4: Have we gone past those days where people just didn't
- 41:36Speaker 4: come to work anymore?
- 41:37Speaker 1: No, that still happens, but it's harder to fire people
- 41:42Speaker 1: these days, trust me, I've witnessed it, and especially for
- 41:46Speaker 1: not showing up repeatedly over time, long stretches of time.
- 41:57Speaker 1: It turns out being an old alcoholic is a two
- 42:00Speaker 1: protected classes.
- 42:04Speaker 4: What's their pronoun Jim and Beam?
- 42:09Speaker 1: This particular one was Don and Julio.
- 42:13Speaker 4: At the time he had Spanish pronouns.
- 42:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:17Speaker 4: I haven't had a day job in twenty plus years,
- 42:22Speaker 4: but I do remember when I was working for my parents,
- 42:24Speaker 4: there would be like there was a guy named John
- 42:26Speaker 4: who just day Friday he was at work, and then
- 42:30Speaker 4: Monday rolled around and then no, no John. We just
- 42:34Speaker 4: nobody said anything, nobody filled out new paperwork. We were
- 42:37Speaker 4: just told he ain't coming back.
- 42:39Speaker 1: So that was at least you got told. I mean,
- 42:41Speaker 1: there are instances these days, and I'm not just talking about,
- 42:44Speaker 1: you know, experiences that I have witnessed, but there are
- 42:48Speaker 1: occasions where people have just stopped going to work and
- 42:51Speaker 1: they just keep getting paid because it's a mystery, and
- 42:54Speaker 1: no one wants to actually do anything because if they
- 42:57Speaker 1: do something, then they worry about opening the company up
- 43:01Speaker 1: to litigation. Gotcha, Maybe someone missed an email, someone missed
- 43:06Speaker 1: a text, someone, you know, maybe the employees that I'm
- 43:10Speaker 1: really sick.
- 43:11Speaker 3: And that's what.
- 43:13Speaker 1: You can't fire someone for being sick. So that's what
- 43:16Speaker 1: companies are so worried about these days. Instead of worrying
- 43:19Speaker 1: about having a responsible employee, they're more worried about getting sued.
- 43:23Speaker 4: That's when you run back into the office a year
- 43:25Speaker 4: later and be like, did you.
- 43:25Speaker 3: Guys get that email? I completely missed this.
- 43:34Speaker 1: Yeah, that's actually because it makes sense because you know
- 43:36Speaker 1: someone's gone into a manager's office before and done the
- 43:39Speaker 1: trade thing, being confrontational and saying, oh, this is what
- 43:42Speaker 1: you should do for your company and blah blah blah,
- 43:43Speaker 1: and at the end of it, the manager might have
- 43:46Speaker 1: just told the person you realize this could have just
- 43:48Speaker 1: been an email, and the next guy that wanted to
- 43:50Speaker 1: quit heard that and said done.
- 43:53Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 43:54Speaker 4: Yeah, I think tray should specialize.
- 43:57Speaker 3: It should be people that win the lottery or come
- 43:59Speaker 3: into money.
- 44:00Speaker 4: Like like insurance or life insurance or an inheritance and
- 44:04Speaker 4: they want to quit. They don't need a reference, they
- 44:07Speaker 4: don't need they're not worried about getting another job. And
- 44:10Speaker 4: that's when you call Trenthoman Associates, uh, and uh.
- 44:13Speaker 5: Do you have F you money?
- 44:16Speaker 1: I am the f you man.
- 44:25Speaker 4: That's exactly that should be like, you know, the lawyer
- 44:27Speaker 4: who sends flowers trade is just like I'm the f
- 44:30Speaker 4: you guy.
- 44:31Speaker 1: Yeah yeah. It turns out old Jim Adler that Texas
- 44:34Speaker 1: Hammer's got some competition. Tray's going to show up at
- 44:39Speaker 1: your job with a sledge hammer.

- 45:22Speaker 1: Plumbingtexas dot com. One final thing to throw at you guys,
- 45:29Speaker 1: uh before we uh check out at the Treehouse for today, and.
- 45:33Speaker 5: That is.
- 45:39Speaker 1: Be careful what you copy from TikTok. This is not
- 45:45Speaker 1: the first time I've ever said this, and it certainly
- 45:48Speaker 1: is not going to be the last, but this is
- 45:49Speaker 1: one of those times where you really need to heed
- 45:51Speaker 1: my advice and the advice of federal prosecutors when I say,
- 45:57Speaker 1: don't copy everything that you see on TikTok. The latest
- 46:01Speaker 1: example of.
- 46:02Speaker 3: This is.
- 46:07Speaker 1: TikTok creators thinking that they have found a hack to
- 46:14Speaker 1: get a bunch of money out of Chase Bank. Okay,
- 46:18Speaker 1: I'm listening. The lesson here is don't commit fraud even
- 46:23Speaker 1: if TikTok tells you to. Yes, because some TikTok creators
- 46:29Speaker 1: assumed that they out smarted the largest bank in the country.
- 46:34Speaker 1: But it turns out they're just doing fraud because earlier
- 46:40Speaker 1: this week, a glitch allowed people to deposit bad checks
- 46:45Speaker 1: at Chases ATMs for exorbitant amounts of money and then
- 46:49Speaker 1: have the credit appear in their accounts. And then what
- 46:51Speaker 1: did they do? They withdraw as much as they can
- 46:55Speaker 1: before the bank caught the mistake. Does this sound familiar
- 46:57Speaker 1: to anybody?
- 47:00Speaker 3: It's fraud, Yes, that would be. That would be bank fraud. Yes.
- 47:04Speaker 1: Now, the problem is that this free money hack that's
- 47:08Speaker 1: been celebrated in a number of viral videos on TikTok
- 47:12Speaker 1: is really just a form of fraud called check kiting. Chase.
- 47:18Speaker 1: Chase did not confirm how many customers participated in it,
- 47:21Speaker 1: and there's a chance many videos and posts about users
- 47:23Speaker 1: making stacks from the ATM error warre skits or jokes,
- 47:26Speaker 1: but it prompted Chase to release a statement telling customers
- 47:30Speaker 1: don't do it. The bank said that. The bank said
- 47:33Speaker 1: that depositing bad checks and then withdrawing the money is
- 47:35Speaker 1: fraud playing and simple.
- 47:37Speaker 3: Mm hm.
- 47:39Speaker 1: You want to hear the the absolute stupidest part of this.
- 47:42Speaker 4: Mm hmm.
- 47:44Speaker 1: In order for this to work, you have to use
- 47:46Speaker 1: your own Chase Bank account, which makes it really easy
- 47:53Speaker 1: for the bank to track down the potential scammers.
- 47:56Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, but it's a white collar crime.
- 47:59Speaker 4: So I mean, even if you do go, like nineteen
- 48:04Speaker 4: of federal prisons have a golf course, So.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Well, I tell you this, the guys I know in
- 48:09Speaker 1: federal prison, I don't think they're playing.
- 48:11Speaker 3: Golf, unless that's what they're calling it these days.
- 48:15Speaker 1: I mean, I'm certain there are balls going in holes,
- 48:18Speaker 1: but I don't think there's a gopher dancing at the
- 48:22Speaker 1: end of it.
- 48:24Speaker 3: Nobody asked for a mulligan.
- 48:39Speaker 1: Some users even posted follow ups, reporting to show their
- 48:43Speaker 1: accounts with substantial negative balances after the bank fixed the problem.
- 48:47Speaker 1: So if the banks are always going to win in
- 48:48Speaker 1: the end, people just keep that in mind. Thanks for
- 48:53Speaker 1: hanging out with us inside the treehouse. We will see
- 48:55Speaker 1: you tomorrow, which of course will be hey, hell yeah
- 49:01Speaker 1: zero
