- 0:28Good morning from the chicken coop so Let's take a little ride
- 0:31on the bus. This morning meeting was driving
- 0:33your bus and talk about that particular emotion.
- 0:38That is in charge of whoever you let on the bus, the proverbial
- 0:44gatekeeper if you want to call it the gatekeeper or the you
- 0:49know, the bus monitor, I like to refer to it as the bus monitor
- 0:52for myself because we've all ridden buses when we were kids
- 0:55and most of them had monitors and those monitors allowed us to
- 1:00do things. Not do other things.
- 1:01And so for me, this is an all reference to what's the emotion
- 1:06that's going on in your head and is it resourceful and is your
- 1:11monitor, allowing you to have the the emotions that you need
- 1:16to in order to be successful. Or is it just letting you stay
- 1:20in emotions that allow you to be lazy and stuck?
- 1:23And sometimes it's really hard to admit that, you're a bus
- 1:27monitor sucks. Like just, let's be point-blank
- 1:30about it. Sometimes it's just really hard
- 1:32to admit that you're a bus monitor has low standards and
- 1:35sucks and you need to get a new bus monitor and that it's just a
- 1:39fact. We all have that.
- 1:41My bus monitor has a really low tolerance.
- 1:45When I say I'm not going to have any chocolate and all of a
- 1:48sudden. I am faced with chocolate and I
- 1:51know I'm going to want the chocolate and my bus monitors,
- 1:55like it's okay. You really deserve it.
- 1:57You had a really long day. Yes, you should have a piece of
- 2:00chalk. That's what it sounds like in my
- 2:02head. And I have to have somebody else
- 2:06some other emotion on my bus that is far more committed to
- 2:11its outcome than the bus monitor.
- 2:14And having the ability to soften things for me and allow that to
- 2:18take place, it's just clearly not, okay?
- 2:22And one of the things that's so imperative.
- 2:25In this process of recognizing that for yourself is what's the
- 2:30outcome? Come that you really want,
- 2:32what's the outcome that you desire more than anything.
- 2:35And if your outcomes are not being met, then the you have to
- 2:39go back to. Well, then it's my gatekeeper,
- 2:42there's something else going on. It's my bus monitor, it's my
- 2:45belief system. There's something that's getting
- 2:47in my way. So the Quest for your, you know,
- 2:52your mission today is to start thinking about, well, is my bus
- 2:56monitor too lenient? You know, we don't get stickers.
- 3:00On my bus for participation, we get stickers for
- 3:04accomplishments, we get stickers for sticking to the standards
- 3:08and you have to ask yourself. Are you that person?
- 3:10That's just getting participation stickers, and
- 3:13Awards as opposed to really doing the work.
- 3:16And I and I want to believe all the time in myself that I am
- 3:20doing the work, but sometimes it's like, I have to have these
- 3:23really honest conversations with myself about where I'm slacking
- 3:26and where I'm letting myself, go off the rails and I have to say
- 3:31no, it doesn't matter if I've had a really hard day screw
- 3:33that, that's bullshit. I need to be honest with myself
- 3:36and say, that is not how I'm going to allow myself to show
- 3:40up. I'm going to do what's right.
- 3:42I'm going to do what I said I was going to do, and I'm not
- 3:44going to lie to myself because nobody can Spin A Yarn.
- 3:48The way I can Spin A Yarn when it comes to this stuff, I know
- 3:51for sure. I can make anything up and make
- 3:54anything sound great. It's, I just, it's a gift or a
- 3:58curse depending upon how you look at it, but I did.
- 4:00Shit myself like nobody's business when I want to and it's
- 4:04really important to say am I in that place of just bullshitting
- 4:09myself. So today your quest is going to
- 4:13be to go out there and check in on that because as we get
- 4:16further along in our month of January this is the time when
- 4:20all of that starts to happen it's like that moment of oh here
- 4:25we go. Now it's that time we're just at
- 4:28that three week Mark it's not easy anymore.
- 4:30Or it's not fun anymore, you're not pumped anymore, and it's
- 4:34when you start giving excuses and buying them and then the
- 4:38gatekeeper IE bus monitor takes over and says, okay, this is
- 4:43fine. It's okay.
- 4:44It's just one piece of chocolate.
- 4:46It's just one glass of wine. It's just this, it's okay.
- 4:50Forget the fact that you're lying to yourself, forget the
- 4:52fact that you've screwed that part up, it's just, you're
- 4:55allowing it to all happen. So I want you to really succeed
- 4:58with this, and I want to catch it before.
- 5:00Actually takes place, which means you got to start looking
- 5:03before it becomes a bigger problem.
- 5:05So that's your mission today, simple.
- 5:07Right? To the point, are you
- 5:09bullshitting yourself? Are you in this place of doing
- 5:12that? Are you at a place where you are
- 5:14really being truthful? Are you being in this place
- 5:20where you're not going to, you know, allow those things to take
- 5:24place in your head and I externally in the results around
- 5:28you, I hope you Guys, have a very blessed day.
- 5:32I will see you tomorrow and I hope that your bus monitor is in
- 5:36line with your actual outcomes. Have a blessed day everybody.
- 5:40Bye.
