- 0:00Speaker 1: Tampa Bay's best music is jadget nine four nine.
- 0:04Speaker 2: And thanks for being with us.
- 0:05Speaker 3: On another episode of the Scotty Abbey Unfiltered Podcast, I
- 0:09Speaker 3: finally get to reveal all the little surprises and the
- 0:11Speaker 3: craziness that I did for my girlfriend for her birthday.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Since I was telling you all the little preparations, well,
- 0:17Speaker 3: the weekend happened, and so everything that went down, the
- 0:20Speaker 3: good parts, the not so good parts, the successes and failures.
- 0:23Speaker 3: I'll get to that in a second. But I also
- 0:25Speaker 3: just have to be honest. I'm feeling pretty dang nervous
- 0:27Speaker 3: about the live show.
- 0:28Speaker 1: You are?
- 0:28Speaker 2: I am?
- 0:29Speaker 3: Why?
- 0:29Speaker 1: Also, Mike sense a little quiet Why are you nervous?
- 0:34Speaker 2: I'm not nervous of our part of like how the
- 0:36Speaker 2: Way O flow? Yeah?
- 0:37Speaker 1: Which side note if you're like, what's that. We're doing
- 0:40Speaker 1: a live show in front of like what sixty people
- 0:42Speaker 1: on Friday. It's like a small intimate event with people
- 0:45Speaker 1: who listen to us in Tampa. In Tampa.
- 0:48Speaker 3: That's the part that makes me nervous though, is like
- 0:50Speaker 3: we have room for like sixty people. Yeah, And the
- 0:53Speaker 3: thought is I'm like, okay, we've had a couple people
- 0:55Speaker 3: in this the podcast, so we could be open and
- 0:57Speaker 3: honest it's funny.
- 0:58Speaker 2: We'll get people on the phone.
- 0:59Speaker 3: We're like, oh my god, you go in the Lift
- 1:00Speaker 3: show and they're like, well, I guess here's the thing.
- 1:04Speaker 1: I don't blame them for not being excited. It's a
- 1:06Speaker 1: Friday morning at six thirty. Like, you've got kids you've
- 1:09Speaker 1: got to take to take care, whatever, you've got work
- 1:12Speaker 1: you got to go to. Like it's a lot to
- 1:14Speaker 1: ask people to take out time out o their Friday morning.
- 1:16Speaker 1: A lot of people stick like work from home on
- 1:18Speaker 1: Friday the bed. So honestly, I'm sort of with them.
- 1:21Speaker 1: I'm like, dude, I get it.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Youeere like I actually don't want to go to work either.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Basically, what Scotty's trying to say is we've been giving
- 1:26Speaker 1: away some tickets on air, and you can always hear
- 1:28Speaker 1: like you're like a beat in between, like when weal like,
- 1:30Speaker 1: oh you just want tickets and they go, oh my god,
- 1:32Speaker 1: that's a great like thank you.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Well, I have this feeling that's like I feel like
- 1:37Speaker 3: Friday morning people are gonna wake up because it's so early,
- 1:39Speaker 3: like to get up, especially if you listen to this
- 1:41Speaker 3: podcast and you know, like if you wake up before
- 1:44Speaker 3: the sun rises, Like, your body is not okay with it. Yeah,
- 1:46Speaker 3: it doesn't matter how long you do it. Your body's
- 1:48Speaker 3: like what the hell? We're asking listeners to do that?
- 1:51Speaker 3: And I feel like every morning I do it, I'm like,
- 1:53Speaker 3: I want to go back to bed. I have a
- 1:54Speaker 3: feeling I'm gonna knock on with before I say it.
- 1:56Speaker 3: If people gonna wake up and be like those two.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Yeah, but I mean who knows. I mean who are
- 2:01Speaker 1: we on the phone with yesterday? And he was like,
- 2:02Speaker 1: oh my god, I'm so excited. I'm wearing my company's
- 2:04Speaker 1: shirt so I can wrap.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:06Speaker 1: We had a caller online and we were talking to
- 2:08Speaker 1: him and he just volunteered the fact that he was coming.
- 2:11Speaker 1: He's like, oh, yeah, by the way, ill see you
- 2:12Speaker 1: guys Friday. We're like, what you're coming? So I think
- 2:14Speaker 1: there may be a niche group of people that really
- 2:16Speaker 1: are excited.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I think we don't know what that looks like
- 2:20Speaker 1: in Tampa. Like, for example, the podcast you're listening to
- 2:23Speaker 1: right now, it's everybody that listened to me at the
- 2:25Speaker 1: Bird Show. It's all in Atlanta. And then like a
- 2:27Speaker 1: niche group of Tampa people. And so we just don't
- 2:30Speaker 1: know what that looks like here.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Yeah, that's where it's tough because I have to I
- 2:33Speaker 3: think I've realized like how much control I need to
- 2:35Speaker 3: have over certain things to like bring my brain down
- 2:38Speaker 3: from the anxious thoughts. Because usually I could have a
- 2:40Speaker 3: list of like, oh, I know you're coming. I've been
- 2:42Speaker 3: in contact with every single one of you. Yeah, this one,
- 2:45Speaker 3: we have our team working on that.
- 2:47Speaker 1: My mom will be there.
- 2:48Speaker 2: There you go. That's one.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Our number one fan, Missus Middleton is coming.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Winner right there. That's all I need. My girlfriend Brianna
- 2:53Speaker 2: is going.
- 2:54Speaker 1: To be there. Briann is going to be there.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Three all right, we just need fifty seven more.
- 2:58Speaker 1: I think it'll be kind of funny if it's not
- 3:00Speaker 1: a big crowd, because I think we'll kind of get
- 3:02Speaker 1: weirdly unhinged and it'll be a super serve to the
- 3:05Speaker 1: people like Wes who are coming, who are actually excited,
- 3:07Speaker 1: Like we'll just sort of get slap happy, where you
- 3:09Speaker 1: and Breonda will probably get up on stage and maybe
- 3:11Speaker 1: do something crazy, start making stage.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Because the whole Variety show its time.
- 3:16Speaker 1: My mom and I will take body shots in a while.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Honestly, if that's the way we could look at it.
- 3:20Speaker 3: Then that makes me feel a lot better, because, yeah,
- 3:22Speaker 3: I just need to know because I'm like, who is coming?
- 3:24Speaker 2: I've had a couple messages, but.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Our promotions team knows the numbers and that's our Literally
- 3:28Speaker 3: after this podcast, that's the first question I'm asking as
- 3:31Speaker 3: soon as we get to our bosses office, I'm like,
- 3:33Speaker 3: how many people are coming?
- 3:34Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 3:34Speaker 2: Like do we have confirmation? Because a lot of people
- 3:35Speaker 2: signed up? That's cool. It makes me feel very low.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Was it free for them to attend?
- 3:40Speaker 2: Yes?
- 3:40Speaker 1: See, that's what I told them we shouldn't do because
- 3:42Speaker 1: if it's free, people don't take it seriously.
- 3:45Speaker 2: That's what I'm thinking.
- 3:45Speaker 1: I was like, we should have been We should have
- 3:47Speaker 1: charged like ten dollars.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Yeah, just to come into the door and that gets
- 3:50Speaker 3: you your breakfast and everything. But that's literally running through
- 3:52Speaker 3: my head and that's why I said, like, you're gonna
- 3:53Speaker 3: wake up. You're like, I didn't pay anything for this ticket.
- 3:55Speaker 3: The sun's not even up. My ass is going back
- 3:57Speaker 3: to bed, yeah, and I'm like, please, just I don't
- 4:00Speaker 3: want to walk into the performance theater on Friday and
- 4:02Speaker 3: be like, good, nobody's here, all right, wave to your mom?
- 4:05Speaker 1: Eh? It'll be fine. I think my expectations are so
- 4:09Speaker 1: low that I'm like, we're gonna be We're at work anyway,
- 4:11Speaker 1: you know what I mean. So it's like we're just
- 4:13Speaker 1: doing work in a different capacity, Like we're just doing
- 4:16Speaker 1: work a little bit differently.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I guess my brain goes to it's like for
- 4:19Speaker 3: the performing aspect, I'm like, it doesn't even feel like work,
- 4:21Speaker 3: Like I feel like our work week is Monday through Thursday.
- 4:23Speaker 2: This week, Friday's off.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Friday's like, well, I'm thinking about Thursdays. We have rehearsal Thursday,
- 4:28Speaker 1: and also we have to pre record Friday.
- 4:31Speaker 3: That's right, So there's gonna be a lot of work
- 4:33Speaker 3: that happens before. That's like vacation though, Like when you
- 4:35Speaker 3: go on vacation, all the work that happens before it.
- 4:38Speaker 2: You gotta get stuck in there. Did you figure out
- 4:40Speaker 2: what those gifts were?
- 4:41Speaker 3: Speaking of vacations, I got a lot of people that
- 4:43Speaker 3: are probably listening to this podcast coming to your girls getaway.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Yes, I'm so excited.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Did you figure out what the goodies are that you're
- 4:49Speaker 3: gonna be putting in there? Are you gonna talk about it?
- 4:51Speaker 1: I think I'm gonna do a ball cap that is
- 4:54Speaker 1: Tampa themed, but I won't be I won't be revealing
- 4:56Speaker 1: what things are. Okay, I'm gonna do a ball cap
- 4:58Speaker 1: because I always like to do some kind of like
- 5:00Speaker 1: shirt or hat, and then maybe a towel. And then
- 5:03Speaker 1: there is a sweet treat that I think they will
- 5:05Speaker 1: enjoy from Tampa that I will I will be providing
- 5:07Speaker 1: to them. And if there's any local Temple Tampa businesses
- 5:11Speaker 1: that are like, oh, I think you should include this,
- 5:13Speaker 1: just hit me up, message me.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Where are you getting the ball caps made?
- 5:16Speaker 1: Etsy?
- 5:16Speaker 2: Okay? Yeah, I say a cool like a Tampa company.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Have you seen for the.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Bay for the Bay Yeah, because they sent me some
- 5:22Speaker 1: Bay Shore things for the Bay Clothing Co.
- 5:24Speaker 3: Yeah, for the Bay Flow or Yeah, they're incredible. When
- 5:27Speaker 3: they first got started, they brought stuff to the studio
- 5:30Speaker 3: and their stuff is so Tampa.
- 5:31Speaker 2: It's incredible and the quality of it, which I love,
- 5:34Speaker 2: is so nice.
- 5:35Speaker 1: The quality is really great. The Bay Shore basics. They
- 5:37Speaker 1: did send me a matching set and I wear it
- 5:40Speaker 1: every now and then.
- 5:40Speaker 3: You should reach out to them to see if they
- 5:42Speaker 3: got like I don't know what, like ten for the
- 5:44Speaker 3: Bay shirts that go perfectly with this area.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Yeah, that'd be cute.
- 5:47Speaker 2: I actually call me and manage you.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Every now and then, a blind pig finds a truffle.
- 5:53Speaker 2: The big thanks. Well.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Over the weekend, I was telling you how this is
- 5:57Speaker 3: the first time I got to celebrate my girl from
- 5:59Speaker 3: Brionna's very exciting. It was exciting, but also very nerve wracking.
- 6:03Speaker 3: And here's why I was nerve wracking. I set the
- 6:05Speaker 3: bar high when I told her I was going to
- 6:07Speaker 3: set up the birthday plans. She is somebody and maybe
- 6:09Speaker 3: you're like this where they like to create their own
- 6:11Speaker 3: plans because in the past, I mean, I don't know,
- 6:13Speaker 3: maybe people have dropped the ball or they just have
- 6:15Speaker 3: a certain vision for.
- 6:16Speaker 2: How it's supposed to go.
- 6:17Speaker 3: And so as life was happening, she realized She's like,
- 6:20Speaker 3: I don't have the time to put together the plans
- 6:22Speaker 3: or the parties like I usually do. And I said, baby,
- 6:25Speaker 3: I got you, and I did, though I literally sat it.
- 6:27Speaker 3: I was like, look, don't worry about it. I got
- 6:29Speaker 3: you covered. I'm going to take care of all the plans.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Just know that you're gonna have a weekend that you
- 6:33Speaker 3: never could have even imagined. Now, as I said that,
- 6:36Speaker 3: I had to look at the reality of myself.
- 6:37Speaker 2: I am not that guy that just plans stuff.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:40Speaker 3: I've only started planning stuff for my friends or my
- 6:42Speaker 3: family because literally I learned that nobody else will do it,
- 6:45Speaker 3: and so I was forced to do it. Like when
- 6:46Speaker 3: it comes to my family, if I don't set up
- 6:48Speaker 3: Thanksgiving plans for like when things go into the oven,
- 6:51Speaker 3: how to cook a turkey, we will literally not eat.
- 6:53Speaker 2: I've now taken on that roll m m.
- 6:55Speaker 3: But when it comes to a trip, I'm so used
- 6:57Speaker 3: to somebody else setting up the itinerary, where go, what
- 7:00Speaker 3: to eat, because I realize other people care more about
- 7:03Speaker 3: those things and I'm just kind of a go with
- 7:04Speaker 3: the flow kind of guy. Yea yeah, But this time
- 7:06Speaker 3: I was like, I have to set up everything and
- 7:08Speaker 3: I need to figure out the timing of it all.
- 7:09Speaker 3: And so I had to start thinking of like what
- 7:11Speaker 3: is the theme going to be? And so here's how
- 7:13Speaker 3: the weekend went down. I decided that one of the
- 7:15Speaker 3: things that I wanted to do that I want to
- 7:17Speaker 3: do for my girlfriend is eventually I want to take
- 7:19Speaker 3: around the world. That's the goals I want to travel.
- 7:21Speaker 3: We both talk about traveling and the great places we
- 7:23Speaker 3: want to go.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Hey, I mean you've got your time share that you
- 7:25Speaker 1: still have used.
- 7:26Speaker 2: I want to cancel that thing so bad.
- 7:28Speaker 1: You need to cancel it.
- 7:30Speaker 2: I'm in the works of it.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Yeah, you've got to cancel it. Either here's your thing.
- 7:34Speaker 1: You either need to plan a trip or you need
- 7:36Speaker 1: to cancel it. It's just sucking money from you.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Yeah. Well that's I mean a side tangent before I
- 7:41Speaker 3: go into this whole story, the time share whole thing.
- 7:44Speaker 3: That is something I literally share with my ex. So
- 7:46Speaker 3: it's like, yeah, both pay and I reached out and
- 7:49Speaker 3: I said, look, are we going to keep this thing?
- 7:51Speaker 3: Could we cancel it? And the response I got back
- 7:53Speaker 3: was that she booked the trip and I should probably
- 7:55Speaker 3: you know, I was talking about booking a trip.
- 7:57Speaker 2: I should bok a trip things, I know.
- 7:59Speaker 3: So I'm like, and what am I supposed to do
- 8:01Speaker 3: to say, no, I'm not gonna pay it anymore. Yeah,
- 8:03Speaker 3: Like that's kind of like in my head, I'm like,
- 8:04Speaker 3: that's fed up. So I have to figure out another
- 8:06Speaker 3: method of either, like you said, like, I either use it. It
- 8:09Speaker 3: still doesn't even make sense to me anymore to even
- 8:11Speaker 3: use it because it's still gonna.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Pay because you get five vacations with it, because you're
- 8:15Speaker 1: splitting it with your X. So, if you missed this episode,
- 8:17Speaker 1: Scotty has a vacation club club. It's a time share.
- 8:21Speaker 2: It's not a time share, but it's still like a
- 8:22Speaker 2: time share.
- 8:23Speaker 1: It's kind of like a timeshare in the sense that
- 8:24Speaker 1: you pay one hundred and fifty bucks every month. Yes,
- 8:26Speaker 1: you pay one hundred fifty bucks every month to be
- 8:29Speaker 1: a part of this club to pay for more vacation.
- 8:31Speaker 3: We're pretty much paying off the big sum of money
- 8:34Speaker 3: that we.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Paid for these vacations.
- 8:36Speaker 3: Yeah, let's say, here's how it pitched to me in
- 8:38Speaker 3: like sixty seconds. Vacations with inflation go up every year,
- 8:41Speaker 3: of course, so like the vacation you want to go
- 8:42Speaker 3: now towhi, Let's say it costs.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Six thousand dollars.
- 8:44Speaker 3: I don't know by the time you get married or
- 8:46Speaker 3: you know, in five years, it's probably gonna be eleven
- 8:49Speaker 3: twelve thousand dollars. The vacation club, you just pay up front.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Here's how much money you pay boom, big old block
- 8:54Speaker 3: of money. And it keeps those prices the same or
- 8:56Speaker 3: if not cheaper.
- 8:57Speaker 1: But that's what's crazy, is you still have to pay
- 8:59Speaker 1: for the vacer.
- 9:00Speaker 3: But yeah, like, let's say I was looking at Hawaii, like,
- 9:02Speaker 3: if I get a week in why it's like, let's
- 9:03Speaker 3: say seven hundred.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Bucks versus seven thousand, that's where it wins.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Yeah, but you're still paying. You're still paying.
- 9:08Speaker 3: I'm still paying every month to payday. Yeah, as I
- 9:10Speaker 3: say it out loud, like trust me, as you're listening,
- 9:13Speaker 3: I know I'm the idiot.
- 9:13Speaker 1: That's why I'm like, you need to book a vacation.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Yes, you need to.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Book a vacation.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Well, that's luckily the planet. But that's where this thought came.
- 9:20Speaker 3: I was like, you know, one of the things I
- 9:22Speaker 3: want to do is I want to take you around
- 9:24Speaker 3: the world, and I can't do that right now. Right
- 9:26Speaker 3: now we're in the midst of grinding out our careers,
- 9:28Speaker 3: we're establishing roots. Let's go ahead and do the better
- 9:31Speaker 3: version of what we could do. Now, I'm going to
- 9:33Speaker 3: take you on tour around Tampa Bay to give you
- 9:35Speaker 3: all the tastes of things that one day we will
- 9:37Speaker 3: go taste in person.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Beautiful.
- 9:38Speaker 2: So I set it up.
- 9:39Speaker 3: I put on a little captain's hat, I had a
- 9:41Speaker 3: passport of all the places that we were going to
- 9:43Speaker 3: go and then we went on this adventure.
- 9:44Speaker 2: So every day it was testing out new foods.
- 9:47Speaker 3: So it was Bivaro's for Italian, it was going to Bosphorus,
- 9:51Speaker 3: a Turkish restaurant for dessert. The next morning, waking up
- 9:54Speaker 3: and going this is where you know. Luckily my girlfriend's
- 9:57Speaker 3: a trooper, woke her up at five am to say,
- 9:59Speaker 3: we got to we'll see the sunrise over an Indian
- 10:01Speaker 3: rocks beach, to go get pastries at the French cafe.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Okay, Cafe de Pati. Now the extra step.
- 10:07Speaker 3: This is where I just get so cheesy and so corny,
- 10:10Speaker 3: and for me, I love it because I love love
- 10:12Speaker 3: and I get to like really express it the way
- 10:14Speaker 3: I've always dreamt of. When we went on one of
- 10:16Speaker 3: our first dates, we went to the Sugar Sand Festival,
- 10:18Speaker 3: all these big sand castles and they had a band
- 10:21Speaker 3: out there, and this band blew us away. We got
- 10:23Speaker 3: like hooked up with VIP tickets. That we're sitting there
- 10:25Speaker 3: and there's these two musicians that are just jamming. One's
- 10:28Speaker 3: on the keys and there's the other guy on the saxophone,
- 10:30Speaker 3: Sam on sax. He's walking all throughout the crowd, just
- 10:34Speaker 3: nailing it. People are dancing. Literally, Brionn and I we
- 10:38Speaker 3: get up, we're dancing. We're having the time of our life. Well,
- 10:41Speaker 3: as I was sitting there thinking out what I wanted
- 10:42Speaker 3: to do, I was like, wait a second, I wonder
- 10:45Speaker 3: if I could bring in Sam on Sex. I don't
- 10:47Speaker 3: know where this even plays a role into this adventure,
- 10:50Speaker 3: but I said, you know what would be super fun
- 10:51Speaker 3: is she loves live music, we love the dance. Let
- 10:54Speaker 3: me give her surprise that she never could have expected. Yeah,
- 10:56Speaker 3: so we went out to the Candle Poor, which I
- 10:58Speaker 3: love the candlepor They will for ever be a special
- 11:00Speaker 3: place in my heart because they agreed to this madness.
- 11:02Speaker 2: I wanted to do custom candles. I love that.
- 11:04Speaker 3: As we're doing the custom candles, literally, you hear the
- 11:07Speaker 3: door open.
- 11:07Speaker 1: It's like on the screen you did the wedding march.
- 11:10Speaker 2: No, well, what's that's happy birthday?
- 11:12Speaker 3: Happy birth Oh, in a much more soulful way.
- 11:15Speaker 1: It is a wedding march on exactly happy birthday. Well,
- 11:18Speaker 1: she screams, she pops out of her chair.
- 11:20Speaker 3: She doesn't even put together that this whole surprise was
- 11:23Speaker 3: for her. Yeah, she's thinking, Oh, I guess they're doing
- 11:25Speaker 3: live music at the Candle Poor.
- 11:27Speaker 1: She realized it was specifically for her, and.
- 11:29Speaker 3: All of a sudden, no, we looked around. There's nobody
- 11:31Speaker 3: in the candlebar. It's just us and sam On Sacks
- 11:34Speaker 3: giving us a private show with our favorite music. So
- 11:37Speaker 3: I had it all worked out where it's like I
- 11:39Speaker 3: reached out to them. I set up the music that
- 11:40Speaker 3: we're gonna play, So played the Happy Birthday song the
- 11:44Speaker 3: whole all the employees are singing, and then we just did,
- 11:47Speaker 3: like you know, lu Comb's Beautiful Things as a slow
- 11:50Speaker 3: dance song, that song Valerie so we could sing along too.
- 11:53Speaker 2: It was so freaking cheesy. I love that, but the
- 11:56Speaker 2: greatest thing I could have done.
- 11:58Speaker 1: I'm sure she felt really special.
- 11:59Speaker 3: Now. I did set Some of the videos were sent
- 12:02Speaker 3: to me because what I didn't realize is that sam
- 12:05Speaker 3: On Sacks had an entire team that was gonna come
- 12:07Speaker 3: in and film this wow or do Dennis at the Candlepoor.
- 12:09Speaker 1: We love Dennis at the Candlepoor is.
- 12:11Speaker 3: Like a fretog professional, so he has his professional camera
- 12:15Speaker 3: snapping like the most gorgeous photos and he sent me
- 12:18Speaker 3: them and I just we both started laughing because it
- 12:20Speaker 3: literally looks like an engagement because I want to post
- 12:23Speaker 3: these photos, and I'm telling you right now, the first
- 12:25Speaker 3: thing people are gonna think.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Is my god, recrats, you guys got engaged. But I
- 12:30Speaker 2: just got the videos.
- 12:31Speaker 3: From what this looks, I'm gonna see if I could just
- 12:33Speaker 3: pull it up just so you can get a little
- 12:34Speaker 3: sample of how obnoxious this entire day turned out. I'm
- 12:39Speaker 3: so grateful for the team and for them agreeing to it,
- 12:42Speaker 3: because when I was sending this message, I was like,
- 12:44Speaker 3: there's no.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Way, there's no way.
- 12:47Speaker 2: They're gonna say yes to this. After we got done,
- 12:49Speaker 2: Dan seeing the.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Candlepoor Poor like literally popped a bottle of champagn which
- 12:53Speaker 3: I didn't know they could do at the Candlepoor and
- 12:54Speaker 3: poured us glass at the champagne as we finished our candles,
- 12:57Speaker 3: and it was just truly a magical experience. Here is
- 13:01Speaker 3: one of the videos. I'm just gonna show Abby really quick.
- 13:04Speaker 3: This is us but doing a slow dance in the
- 13:06Speaker 3: middle of the candle poor as sam On Sacks is
- 13:08Speaker 3: literally just letting it rip, like giving us every bit
- 13:11Speaker 3: of his soul into this song. Does that not look
- 13:14Speaker 3: like an entire thing set up for an engagement?
- 13:16Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 13:16Speaker 1: It does look like you guys are getting engaged.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Because everything's so white and crisp. We're dressed nice.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Also, she's like clinging onto like you're the door in
- 13:24Speaker 1: Titanic and she's Kate Wingslet.
- 13:26Speaker 2: It was so cool.
- 13:26Speaker 3: Because we were just so infatuated, Like it's so funny,
- 13:29Speaker 3: how like the comfort because we just got up and
- 13:31Speaker 3: started dancing, singing. I was like, I don't care who sees,
- 13:34Speaker 3: who walks by, who walks in.
- 13:35Speaker 1: It's easy to say that when nobody's in.
- 13:37Speaker 3: In the room, I know, but it wasn't even I'm like,
- 13:39Speaker 3: you know, we have to full send this. Yeah, And
- 13:42Speaker 3: it was just a really special moment to be able
- 13:44Speaker 3: to have literally every piece fall together. And this was,
- 13:47Speaker 3: as I said, as somebody that's not really a planner,
- 13:50Speaker 3: and to plan all these things. One of the biggest
- 13:52Speaker 3: things I walked away and I was so grateful for
- 13:54Speaker 3: is how everything happened the way I envisioned it. If
- 13:57Speaker 3: not better, we're in my head. I'm like, that just
- 13:59Speaker 3: reinforced I could do this, I could be a planner.
- 14:02Speaker 3: So it was a huge success. And for the Candleport,
- 14:04Speaker 3: thank you for sam On Sacks. From the bottom of
- 14:07Speaker 3: my heart. Thank you for making that day.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Say, you could really turn that into a business as
- 14:10Speaker 1: a guy, because like when my brother was planning his proposal,
- 14:14Speaker 1: he had no idea what the hell to do. He
- 14:15Speaker 1: had to hire me. And by hiring me, I mean
- 14:18Speaker 1: I had to pay for half the proposal.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Well that's something.
- 14:20Speaker 1: But you got to like find the people who know
- 14:23Speaker 1: how to do setups or who know how to put
- 14:25Speaker 1: together a creative idea that will be meaningful and also
- 14:29Speaker 1: draw on your past dates or your past memories to
- 14:32Speaker 1: make something feel ass special as you made your girlfriend feel.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Yeah, it was truly wonderful moment, and I did take
- 14:37Speaker 3: away like one of the things that we talked about
- 14:39Speaker 3: was like knowing your partner, knowing the person that you're gifting,
- 14:41Speaker 3: and thinking beyond the card.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, thinking about something that they love, but having
- 14:46Speaker 1: the competence to turn it into something that's not just
- 14:48Speaker 1: like like if they love Nashville, not just getting them
- 14:51Speaker 1: a T shirt that says Nashville. You're not even giving
- 14:53Speaker 1: them an experience that makes them get to Like I'm
- 14:56Speaker 1: not saying buy them at trip to Nashville, but like, oh,
- 14:58Speaker 1: she loves country music and she loves Nashville. So buy
- 15:01Speaker 1: our country music concert.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Question mark maybe something like that.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Honestly though, but I see a high level.
- 15:05Speaker 3: I lean into that though, because like, let's think of
- 15:07Speaker 3: and this is I'll talk about the gift I gave
- 15:10Speaker 3: because all of those things, yes, they were part of
- 15:12Speaker 3: the gift, but I actually gave a gift and I
- 15:14Speaker 3: thought about that. I was like, okay, what I'm not
- 15:16Speaker 3: going to get you a key chain or I'm not
- 15:17Speaker 3: going to get you like I don't know. I thought
- 15:19Speaker 3: about the things that we talked about, concerts, travel, and
- 15:22Speaker 3: one of the things I gifted was a trip to Chicago.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Oh, you got to see her favorite band, see your
- 15:27Speaker 1: favorite band. This is like bigger budget for sure, bigger.
- 15:29Speaker 3: Budget for sure, But in my head, I was like,
- 15:31Speaker 3: I want to do something big and it could have
- 15:33Speaker 3: been a piece of jewelry probably would have cost similar.
- 15:36Speaker 3: So I was like, let me go ahead and book
- 15:38Speaker 3: this trip and that will be our year trip together,
- 15:41Speaker 3: first time going to Chicago, well, first time together. Yeah,
- 15:44Speaker 3: and then seeing a concert together, because that's one of
- 15:46Speaker 3: the things, like we haven't really seen an actual band
- 15:48Speaker 3: live together, so this will be the first thing. But
- 15:51Speaker 3: it's like you said, like if they talk about it
- 15:53Speaker 3: all the time. I just said to myself, I'm we'll
- 15:54Speaker 3: figure out how to make it happen.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Yeah, and you can always get creative depending on what
- 15:57Speaker 1: your budget is too. Like when my brother got engaged,
- 16:00Speaker 1: him what his favorite what him and his lady's song were,
- 16:02Speaker 1: and he said, oh, it's Better Me for You by
- 16:04Speaker 1: Max Magno, And I'm like, oh, I love that song.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Let me see if I can DM him. So he
- 16:08Speaker 1: I DMed him and he immediately sent us back like
- 16:10Speaker 1: a a free cameo, essentially congratulating them on the engagement.
- 16:14Speaker 1: But that was free, and you just got to have
- 16:16Speaker 1: like some balls to be able to try and make
- 16:17Speaker 1: that moment special. The ironic thing is that's not their song.
- 16:20Speaker 1: My brother just like gave me, just like gave me
- 16:22Speaker 1: a suggestion. I'm like, I don't even think we played
- 16:25Speaker 1: that song at their wedding, which is so funny, but
- 16:28Speaker 1: it's still a good memory.
- 16:29Speaker 3: It go. I think it goes to show just the
- 16:30Speaker 3: extra effort, Yeah, sending the message of just making the
- 16:33Speaker 3: ask and seeing what you could land.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Getting creative, trying to make these moments special and knowing
- 16:38Speaker 1: what that person's gonna want.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Well, all those lessons really got to put into play
- 16:42Speaker 3: this past weekend, and I will say a success. I cried,
- 16:45Speaker 3: she cried. It was I haven't cried this much in
- 16:48Speaker 3: my life. And these sweet moments, I'm like, we're literally
- 16:50Speaker 3: watching movies.
- 16:51Speaker 2: I love it so much. It was a cool weekend.
- 16:53Speaker 1: So well, I love that, and I'm glad you made
- 16:55Speaker 1: your lady feel special on a day where she deserves
- 16:58Speaker 1: to be celebrated.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Well, thank you.
- 16:59Speaker 3: It was fun. We got to go out. We went
- 17:00Speaker 3: out to the Sapphire Abbey. You joined us out there
- 17:02Speaker 3: on Saturday the Dead.
- 17:03Speaker 1: It was packed. I've never seen the saptfire that packed
- 17:05Speaker 1: the Sapphire.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Is this, I want to say, fancy bar in Tampa.
- 17:08Speaker 1: No, it's like a restaurant that turns into a club.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Yes, at an upscale level.
- 17:14Speaker 1: At an upscale level because it definitely draws an older crowd,
- 17:17Speaker 1: Like it's definitely a place where swingers are meeting. You think, yeah,
- 17:20Speaker 1: And I don't mean that in a derogatory way. I
- 17:22Speaker 1: just I just mean it definitely draws an older crowd
- 17:25Speaker 1: to where it's like somebody's cheating on their spouse here,
- 17:28Speaker 1: or maybe or somebody's engaging in an open relationship here.
- 17:31Speaker 3: It is funny to like look at the bar and
- 17:32Speaker 3: you like look at the couples around it, and you're like, hmmm,
- 17:35Speaker 3: this is now. One of the things that's been said
- 17:36Speaker 3: about Tampa is how it's very much like Sugar daddy Land.
- 17:39Speaker 1: It's very sugar daddy Land. It's just it's very it's
- 17:42Speaker 1: good people watching.
- 17:43Speaker 2: That it is like you get people watching and be
- 17:45Speaker 2: entertained the whole night.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Like I think a fun date night would be to
- 17:48Speaker 1: go have dinner at the Sapphire and just look around
- 17:50Speaker 1: and make up backstories about people because you're sitting around
- 17:52Speaker 1: and you're like, how does that person to that person?
- 17:54Speaker 1: Like do you think that's his daughter? Do you think
- 17:55Speaker 1: that's his girlfriend? And then it's fun like I the
- 17:58Speaker 1: DJ was bumpin'.
- 17:59Speaker 3: I was a a great time you get out on
- 18:01Speaker 3: the dance because you were hanging out with us for
- 18:02Speaker 3: a little bit and yeah, n guys bopped around.
- 18:04Speaker 1: I wrought my friend Tory, and so Tory was like,
- 18:06Speaker 1: let's go dance because I think the Dancing Queen came on.
- 18:08Speaker 1: I'm like a lot of Abba. So it went from
- 18:10Speaker 1: like no hands Waka Flaka love that song to Dancing
- 18:14Speaker 1: Queen Abba and I was like, whoever has the ox
- 18:16Speaker 1: is lighting.
- 18:17Speaker 2: It on fire, nailing it?
- 18:19Speaker 3: Was there anybody, because there's at one point where you
- 18:21Speaker 3: guys were like, ooh, who's that cute boy?
- 18:23Speaker 1: So what was so funny is so Tory's like, I'm
- 18:25Speaker 1: committed to helping you find a man, and I was like, listen,
- 18:27Speaker 1: there's nobody here that I'm interested in. Again, it does
- 18:30Speaker 1: draw a little bit of an older crowd. And so
- 18:32Speaker 1: she'd seen this guy across the bar who was mogging
- 18:35Speaker 1: us so hard. His face card was model level. We're like,
- 18:39Speaker 1: this guy looks like Aladdin mixed with yawn from the
- 18:43Speaker 1: Taylor Swift Era's tour. Like his cheekbones were just insane,
- 18:46Speaker 1: and so we've been calling him like Aladdin all night.
- 18:48Speaker 1: We're calling him sexy Aladdin. We're like, we should go
- 18:50Speaker 1: talk to sexy Aladdin. So we go talk to sexy Aladdin.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Well you did, and sexy Aladdin. It was clear English
- 18:56Speaker 1: was his second language. But he was by himself. Weird
- 19:00Speaker 1: trying to talk to him about why he was there
- 19:01Speaker 1: by himself, and he was trying to explain that he's
- 19:03Speaker 1: a truck driver who lives in la And I guess
- 19:06Speaker 1: he had a truck route all the way to Tampa,
- 19:09Speaker 1: and so he's like, I'm just spending the night here
- 19:11Speaker 1: by myself. And so we were trying to like ask
- 19:13Speaker 1: him questions about it because we were like, what are
- 19:15Speaker 1: you doing at the Like you're a truck driver. Like
- 19:16Speaker 1: when I think of a truck driver, you think of
- 19:18Speaker 1: like some big burly dude named like Craig, like.
- 19:21Speaker 2: The waffle house.
- 19:22Speaker 1: The waffle house dude. I'm like, what are you doing
- 19:23Speaker 1: at the Sapphire? You're beautiful, Like get out of the
- 19:25Speaker 1: truck like someone signed him to Wilhelmina, you know what
- 19:28Speaker 1: I mean, Like you're in the wrong profession. Yes, And
- 19:30Speaker 1: so then I was wondering. I was like, I wonder
- 19:32Speaker 1: if truck driver's code for something, because I'm like, you
- 19:35Speaker 1: look so good and you're here by yourself, and I
- 19:38Speaker 1: don't know. So we were trying to talk to him,
- 19:40Speaker 1: but there's a little bit of a language barrier, and
- 19:42Speaker 1: we're like, Okay, nice to meet you, but very interesting guy.
- 19:44Speaker 2: So nothing ever got to know now.
- 19:47Speaker 1: And that's honestly fine, Yeah, you know, not for.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Y'all for at least starting a conversation, because I'm like,
- 19:51Speaker 3: there he is guys go fly, but it's easier with
- 19:54Speaker 3: the friend.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Yeah, Or it's more fun with a friend, or it
- 19:56Speaker 1: feels less like intimidating. And there were definitely some cute
- 19:59Speaker 1: guys there trying to say like you couldn't find somebody
- 20:01Speaker 1: at the Sapphire, But from just out of the mood
- 20:04Speaker 1: that I was in, I was like, I'm just here
- 20:05Speaker 1: to celebrate Brionda and I'm here to hang out with
- 20:07Speaker 1: my friend and dance on the dance floor, and if
- 20:09Speaker 1: I see somebody then you know, we'll hang out.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:11Speaker 3: It's like, if it happens, it happens, but for the
- 20:13Speaker 3: most part, just dance the night away.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Yeah, did you okay?
- 20:16Speaker 3: So we were talking about this in the break room
- 20:17Speaker 3: when you got back from that night, you didn't like
- 20:19Speaker 3: because we risked it all. We literally in the uber
- 20:22Speaker 3: were like, Taco bell right now to the house.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Oh you almost got the cyclops.
- 20:26Speaker 3: Literally we went like in the uber, I was like,
- 20:29Speaker 3: we're gonna risk it because this sounds so good right now.
- 20:31Speaker 2: For the Lettuce, I was I was like, if it happens,
- 20:34Speaker 2: it happens.
- 20:34Speaker 3: But I'm just for some reason, I've just had enough
- 20:36Speaker 3: wine where I'm craving a Taco Bell cheesy Goordida crunch
- 20:39Speaker 3: didn't live up to the hype.
- 20:40Speaker 1: No, I've only had Taco Bell once and it was
- 20:43Speaker 1: on air on The Birch Show, and none of it
- 20:45Speaker 1: was good.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Okay.
- 20:46Speaker 3: I don't know if that's your best experience if you
- 20:47Speaker 3: go to a good Taco Bell, but it also okay, wait,
- 20:50Speaker 3: let me take that back, because there's not really.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Good Taco Bell late night.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Uh huh, hot, you're kind of buzzed. Taco Bell hits
- 20:57Speaker 3: better than any fast.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Food I think I like the idea of time, but
- 21:00Speaker 1: the reality is a letdown.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Well, I will say.
- 21:03Speaker 3: The thing that helped in why I don't have the
- 21:05Speaker 3: parasite as I didn't get the lettuce. I decided no
- 21:07Speaker 3: lettuce on my taco please. Okay, but my girlfriend did.
- 21:10Speaker 1: We should still have the mystery meat.
- 21:11Speaker 2: I believe it's just beef.
- 21:13Speaker 1: We are living in a messed up world when we
- 21:14Speaker 1: are more scared of the lettuce than we are of
- 21:16Speaker 1: the mystery meat from Taco Bell.
- 21:17Speaker 2: That's a good point.
- 21:19Speaker 1: It's like, we don't need to know what's in the
- 21:21Speaker 1: hot dog.
- 21:21Speaker 2: You know what it's.
- 21:22Speaker 3: That's why it's you gotta be kind of buzzed when
- 21:24Speaker 3: I eat it, but you didn't go home and like
- 21:25Speaker 3: you have any of those late night orders.
- 21:27Speaker 1: No, I always regret doing it because I'm like, it's
- 21:29Speaker 1: a ton of money to order food to your house
- 21:32Speaker 1: and it's not something that sobers me up. Like I
- 21:34Speaker 1: don't have like a taco bell or a cookout order
- 21:37Speaker 1: that I'm like, oh, I feel better after I eat this.
- 21:39Speaker 1: You gotta get like a giant jugg of water and
- 21:41Speaker 1: go to bed.
- 21:42Speaker 3: Now.
- 21:42Speaker 1: If you're hungry, eat like eat something. But I'm not
- 21:44Speaker 1: like a late night food order.
- 21:46Speaker 3: See, I was so hungry because I think it. We're
- 21:48Speaker 3: just at the restaurant, like I'm smelling the food of
- 21:49Speaker 3: the sapphire. Yeah, I'm at the bar at one point
- 21:51Speaker 3: and I like looked at the menu and I was like,
- 21:53Speaker 3: I shouldn't do that because that food is one it's
- 21:56Speaker 3: real expensive, yeah, and I don't know how much I
- 21:58Speaker 3: would have gotten for that price that I was gonna pay,
- 22:00Speaker 3: So I was like, I'm not going to do that.
- 22:01Speaker 1: It's fancy dining portions very where.
- 22:03Speaker 3: It's like, oh, I'm gonna take three bites, I'm gonna
- 22:04Speaker 3: be done. But it's seventy dollars I'm good. The food's outstanding. Yeah,
- 22:08Speaker 3: the food's great, fantastic. However, I was not about to
- 22:11Speaker 3: do that, but that hunger was rising within me.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Or I was.
- 22:13Speaker 3: Like, oh god, we got to get something, and the
- 22:15Speaker 3: taco bell hit very hard.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Love that for you a very good and I love
- 22:19Speaker 1: that you didn't get the parasite me too. Are we
- 22:21Speaker 1: happy about not getting the parasite? Some people have mixed feelings.
- 22:24Speaker 2: I know some people are trying to get there.
- 22:25Speaker 3: I'm good without it because if you ever had like
- 22:27Speaker 3: food poisoning, that is the worst.
- 22:29Speaker 1: And now I'm just looking at my August calendar, I'm like,
- 22:31Speaker 1: oh my god, there's so many I need to be
- 22:33Speaker 1: in a bathing suit, like every single weekend in August.
- 22:35Speaker 1: In August, well, August, I've Trampa Bay getaway, so we're
- 22:38Speaker 1: going to be on a boat, and then I guess
- 22:40Speaker 1: September is Italy, and then I'm going to Nashville. I
- 22:44Speaker 1: think to visit a friend in a couple of weeks.
- 22:45Speaker 1: And then you.
- 22:46Speaker 2: Got Olivia Dean. Have Alivia Dean, So.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Maybe I don't have to be in a bathing suit
- 22:50Speaker 1: that much. Maybe I just have to be in a
- 22:51Speaker 1: lot of cute outfits. But yeah, I'm going to Olivia
- 22:53Speaker 1: Dean in August as well, So there's August is a
- 22:55Speaker 1: very busy month for me.
- 22:56Speaker 3: It's going to be very busy, especially we've got a
- 22:58Speaker 3: lot of stuff here and then there's a lot of
- 23:00Speaker 3: travel happening, a ton of travel.
- 23:02Speaker 2: I feel that.
- 23:02Speaker 3: I was thinking about that the other day of like,
- 23:03Speaker 3: all right, let's narrow it back in and my trip
- 23:06Speaker 3: isn't for a while because that's one's in October for
- 23:09Speaker 3: the Key West trip.
- 23:10Speaker 2: But I was like, I want to be in the Keys.
- 23:11Speaker 3: You're gonna want to be living that boat life. No shirt,
- 23:13Speaker 3: just to bathing suit on. I was like, I want
- 23:15Speaker 3: to look and feel my best. But it's so hard
- 23:17Speaker 3: with all the celebrations. I know, because it feels like
- 23:19Speaker 3: there's been a celebration every single weekend. Yeah, and it's
- 23:23Speaker 3: it adds up quick. But you know what, I think,
- 23:25Speaker 3: during the week, you get it back on track, anything
- 23:27Speaker 3: else happy that's happening in your life before we go.
- 23:29Speaker 1: I think that's really it, you guys. I'm kind of
- 23:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna be boring until August hits. So this week

- 23:50Speaker 3: Hell yeah, I'll love me at Befo Bradies, though I

- 24:27Speaker 1: it's an experience in your twenties, Like you try mushrooms
- 24:30Speaker 1: in the bathroom of the chili's once, maybe that's something
- 24:34Speaker 1: you do or and you decide that's not for you.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Doesn't necessarily mean you have to become some big druggie.
