The Ten Commandments and the Heart of God | Pastor Jonathan Mast
In Exodus 20, God gives the Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai, outlining His moral law for Israel. These commandments include worshiping only God, honoring parents, keeping the Sabbath, and prohibiting idolatry, murder, adultery, theft, lying, and coveting. The people, terrified by God’s presence of thunder, smoke, and a trumpet blast, ask Moses to speak to God on their behalf. God also gives laws about building an altar for worship, emphasizing His holiness and proper reverence. This chapter establishes God’s covenant standards and the foundation for righteous living.
