Jake Fussell Reimagines Rock Island Line | Music News
Jake Xerxes Fussell’s new album, “The Old Beloved Path,” drops September 18 via Fat Possum, and it’s already got a standout track: his fresh take on “Rock Island Line.” Inspired by a Lonnie Donegan version, he fused it with an old English goose rhyme to create something uniquely his own. Produced in North Carolina with longtime collaborator Ben Whiteley—also on bass—the album also features Dominic Billett and Isa Burke.
