- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome to the New York Sports Weekly Show with your
- 0:05Speaker 1: boy NIC. We gotta start off today... with the New
- 0:20Speaker 1: York Yankees. They advanced to the second round, man. They
- 0:23Speaker 1: get it done. They looked great. You know, Boston really
- 0:27Speaker 1: never seemed like they were even in that series. Yankees
- 0:30Speaker 1: were able to come out and play long ball. Oh, Mike, see,
- 0:36Speaker 1: that's what happens when I don't have my producer with me.
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't have a guest with me. I do shit
- 0:40Speaker 1: like that. But, yeah, man, it's your boy NIC. And
- 0:44Speaker 1: we saw the Yankees today advance. And with them advancing,
- 0:52Speaker 1: they now will be playing the Tampa Bay Rays. And
- 0:57Speaker 1: they get there without Aaron Judge. And it's really all
- 0:59Speaker 1: about the kids. Ben Rice mashing the ball. You have
- 1:05Speaker 1: Lombard Jr. who looks like Jeter Jr. I mean, come on.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Shortstop smacking the ball into right field, inside out in balls,
- 1:17Speaker 1: hitting them up the middle. You know, this kid, he
- 1:20Speaker 1: legitimately looks like the next Jeter, which, I mean, me
- 1:23Speaker 1: as a Met fan, it's like, again, I mean, they
- 1:26Speaker 1: got another guy like this? Obviously, to become Jeter is
- 1:30Speaker 1: a lot. Let's not put too much on him just yet.
- 1:32Speaker 1: But if you're the Yankees, you got to be real
- 1:35Speaker 1: excited about what you saw out of the kids in
- 1:38Speaker 1: this series. Cam Schittler comes out, and, yo, man, they
- 1:42Speaker 1: let this cat throw 117 pitches. He goes into the
- 1:46Speaker 1: seventh inning. Doesn't give up any runs. The Yanks don't
- 1:50Speaker 1: have to tax their bullpen. They don't play until Friday,
- 1:53Speaker 1: I believe. And then, yeah, they play Friday and then
- 1:57Speaker 1: they'll play again until Sunday after that. Hey, if you're
- 2:02Speaker 1: a Yankee fan, going in with no Aaron Judge and
- 2:06Speaker 1: getting a performance like this today, you have to be
- 2:09Speaker 1: as happy as you can possibly be. You have to
- 2:12Speaker 1: feel like this is as good a chance as you've
- 2:14Speaker 1: had as any for the Yankees to get that first
- 2:18Speaker 1: World Series championship since 2009. Yeah, man. Impressive. Impressive. Absolutely. Today,
- 2:27Speaker 1: one of the things that I liked is that they
- 2:28Speaker 1: played some small ball. There's a couple bunts mixed in
- 2:31Speaker 1: here and there. Guys getting on base, stealing bags. And
- 2:36Speaker 1: then you walk Ben Rice, who he's having a phenomenal series. Obviously,
- 2:44Speaker 1: two home runs in the first game. was getting knocks
- 2:48Speaker 1: all over the field here in game two as well.
- 2:51Speaker 1: They walk him intentionally, and you bring up Cody Bellinger,
- 2:55Speaker 1: and you know that he's a guy who has been
- 2:59Speaker 1: up in big spots before, delivered. They talk about how
- 3:03Speaker 1: he's so good at hitting the breaking ball, and what
- 3:06Speaker 1: do you know? Cody Bellinger absolutely crushes one to blow
- 3:12Speaker 1: this game open, and the Yanks don't look back. And
- 3:16Speaker 1: so now you have a team that, like I said,
- 3:19Speaker 1: they rested all of their high leverage bullpen arms. You
- 3:27Speaker 1: can be really cautious with Garrett Cole if you want.
- 3:30Speaker 1: He just had Tommy John surgery. Do you want to
- 3:32Speaker 1: bring him? You can wait to bring him back for
- 3:34Speaker 1: game two. And you have, you know, I was just,
- 3:40Speaker 1: I was really, really impressed first and foremost by Schittler yesterday.
- 3:45Speaker 1: And then also, got to give this guy some credit.
- 3:48Speaker 1: This is a guy that I give a hard time
- 3:50Speaker 1: to all the time, that I always say I would
- 3:52Speaker 1: never want him to be my manager personally. I know
- 3:55Speaker 1: a lot of my Yankees friends and a lot of
- 3:59Speaker 1: my Knicks mutuals who are Yankees fans on X. They
- 4:03Speaker 1: have a lot to say about him on X, on
- 4:06Speaker 1: all platforms, at IndependentNIC. And yeah, man, a lot of people...
- 4:13Speaker 1: They don't love this guy, but I give him a
- 4:15Speaker 1: lot of credit for letting Schittler throw 117 pitches. How
- 4:21Speaker 1: often do you see that in today's game? Truthfully, almost never.
- 4:26Speaker 1: A young pitcher, too? And they let this guy go
- 4:30Speaker 1: the distance. I just, you know, I wish we saw
- 4:33Speaker 1: more of that. And I think especially with a guy
- 4:36Speaker 1: like Boone, who always gets killed, it's important when, you know,
- 4:40Speaker 1: he's on the right side of things. to give him
- 4:42Speaker 1: some credit. And it looked like Boone made all the
- 4:45Speaker 1: right moves in this wildcard series. Boston's manager, I don't
- 4:52Speaker 1: know his name, but yeah, he made some questionable decisions
- 4:55Speaker 1: for sure. I thought the one time that maybe you
- 4:59Speaker 1: get a little bit nervous if you're a Yankee fan
- 5:01Speaker 1: is when they send Ben Rice and he gets gunned down. And,
- 5:04Speaker 1: you know, the commentators are talking about how, yeah, you know,
- 5:07Speaker 1: right after you make a decision like that, quite often
- 5:10Speaker 1: the baseball gods, this and that, And then Boston hits
- 5:12Speaker 1: a home run and makes it a one run game.
- 5:17Speaker 1: And then inexplicably, this is the second time I'm talking
- 5:20Speaker 1: about him. So I got to look up his name,
- 5:23Speaker 1: but inexplicably, um, Chad Tracy, he sends in crochet who
- 5:32Speaker 1: hasn't pitched all year. Shout to my guy, chop in
- 5:34Speaker 1: the group chat. He's a, he's a Rhode Island, uh,
- 5:36Speaker 1: you know, Massachusetts, Boston guy. Uh, and so, um, he
- 5:41Speaker 1: said like, yo, this guy crochet hasn't pitched all season.
- 5:43Speaker 1: You put them in right now when it's a one
- 5:45Speaker 1: run game for your season. I didn't understand that. I
- 5:51Speaker 1: understand why he was frustrated and it didn't look like
- 5:55Speaker 1: the right movement over at the end of the day
- 5:57Speaker 1: didn't work. So give Boone credit for pulling all the
- 6:03Speaker 1: right strings. And sometimes, sometimes man, You know, managers, they
- 6:07Speaker 1: don't get the credit when things go their way. But
- 6:09Speaker 1: when things don't go their way, they always get the blame.
- 6:12Speaker 1: And so, yeah, just, you know, Aaron Boone deserves a
- 6:14Speaker 1: little bit of credit today. But, yeah, I mean, Lombard Jr.,
- 6:16Speaker 1: this kid, seriously, he had three hits yesterday. Today, he
- 6:24Speaker 1: has another hit. He scores a run, gets himself a
- 6:27Speaker 1: ribeye stake. Cody Bellinger, like I said, went two for four.
- 6:30Speaker 1: But he had that huge, huge grand slam. I'm sorry,
- 6:35Speaker 1: it was a three-run home run, not a grand slam.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Ben Rice, he gets a hit, scores a run. Ben
- 6:43Speaker 1: Rice hit. 556 for the series. Lombard Jr. hit. 500. Hey, man,
- 6:50Speaker 1: you gotta be excited if you're a Yankee fan right
- 6:54Speaker 1: now about how these young kids showed up. And you
- 6:57Speaker 1: got Aaron Judge swinging a bat. He's swinging a bat,
- 7:03Speaker 1: and there's a possibility... that he might be ready to
- 7:07Speaker 1: be activated for this division series. I guess he hasn't
- 7:13Speaker 1: run the bases yet. Look, man, we've seen this before
- 7:21Speaker 1: with a guy like Stanton. Judge is definitely worth it. Hey,
- 7:25Speaker 1: we'll DH you. You swing as hard as you can
- 7:31Speaker 1: and you jog around the bases no matter what the
- 7:34Speaker 1: situation is I think most people would sign up for
- 7:39Speaker 1: that version, that level of Aaron Judge. I can't get
- 7:45Speaker 1: over this Lombard kid. He's so good. He started off
- 7:49Speaker 1: red hot, hit a home run in his first game.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Then he, you know, he tailed off. He didn't have like,
- 7:58Speaker 1: it's not like he just was unbelievable for the rest
- 8:00Speaker 1: of the season or anything like that. And so, You know,
- 8:04Speaker 1: you wonder, because how many times do we see baseball
- 8:07Speaker 1: players from month to month, from year to year, or
- 8:09Speaker 1: especially when they first come up, they look like one
- 8:12Speaker 1: thing and then it's like, you forget who that guy was.
- 8:15Speaker 1: And any Met fan, we all know that our example
- 8:18Speaker 1: when we talk about this is Ike Davis. Give me
- 8:23Speaker 1: a little bit of Lastings millage as well. But yeah, man,
- 8:27Speaker 1: he comes up and he tails off a little bit,
- 8:29Speaker 1: but he's a really good fielder, plus fielder, you know,
- 8:33Speaker 1: I would overall the best. I mean, the most important
- 8:36Speaker 1: defensive spot catcher maybe is better, but I mean, shortstop
- 8:40Speaker 1: plus plus defender, strong arm, great range, all the things.
- 8:44Speaker 1: And then he, his first playoff series, he hits like this.
- 8:47Speaker 1: I'm telling you, man, sky's the limit for that kid.
- 8:51Speaker 1: And I just thought that the Sox got hot at
- 8:54Speaker 1: the right time. I mean, I'm sorry at the wrong time,
- 8:56Speaker 1: the Sox were what? Like they went like 15 straight.
- 8:59Speaker 1: They lost one, then one nine straight. Baseball is definitely
- 9:05Speaker 1: a sport that is, you know, it's a sport of runs.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Basketball is a game of runs within the game. Baseball
- 9:11Speaker 1: is a season of runs. You're going to have runs
- 9:16Speaker 1: either way and it's about not letting those five game
- 9:20Speaker 1: losing streaks turn into 12 game losing streaks as the
- 9:24Speaker 1: Mets did in April and essentially buried their entire season.
- 9:29Speaker 1: It's about getting out there and being hot at the
- 9:33Speaker 1: right time. It's about having dominant starting pitching. And one
- 9:38Speaker 1: thing that I've seen from the Yankees here in recent
- 9:40Speaker 1: postseasons is they rely way too much on the long ball.
- 9:45Speaker 1: And this game specifically, you saw them put together some
- 9:51Speaker 1: runs just by getting contact, moving a guy over, and
- 9:58Speaker 1: waiting for the big... blow and that came from Cody
- 10:01Speaker 1: Bellinger in this game I wonder Yankee fans in the
- 10:05Speaker 1: chat are you scared of the Rays do the Rays
- 10:10Speaker 1: seriously do they do they make you nervous or do
- 10:13Speaker 1: you feel like you guys are rolling and you know
- 10:15Speaker 1: how much that how much of that depends on whether
- 10:18Speaker 1: or not Aaron Judge is Is on the roster. It's
- 10:24Speaker 1: going to be a very interesting series. I don't like how.
- 10:28Speaker 1: You have three AL East teams. All on the same side.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Of the playoff roster. I don't know. Baseball under seeding.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Figure that shit out. That should not be it. Should
- 10:39Speaker 1: there be a re-seed? I don't know. But that just
- 10:42Speaker 1: should not be the case. In my opinion. There's too
- 10:46Speaker 1: much of everybody playing everybody. As it is now. I
- 10:50Speaker 1: liked it better when you played your division teams, what,
- 10:53Speaker 1: 17 times when I was young. And I know before
- 10:55Speaker 1: that it was even more than that. I could do
- 10:59Speaker 1: without interleague play. I think the Subway Series is awesome.
- 11:01Speaker 1: I do. I do. But I wish, okay, I wish
- 11:06Speaker 1: it went back to the way it used to be
- 11:08Speaker 1: where it was you had one team that you played
- 11:10Speaker 1: every year and that's who you played and that was it.
- 11:14Speaker 1: And it sucked for me as a Mets fan because
- 11:16Speaker 1: the Yankees were always good during my youth. You know, 90s,
- 11:20Speaker 1: early 2000s, into even the mid-2000s, they were good. Now,
- 11:23Speaker 1: I mean, the Yankees, they haven't won a World Series
- 11:25Speaker 1: since 2009, but they're in the playoffs every fucking year.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Trust me, as a Mets fan, you know, I could
- 11:32Speaker 1: work with that. I could work with that. Mets, like,
- 11:36Speaker 1: once every 10 years, give me a magical ride that
- 11:41Speaker 1: doesn't end in a World Series championship. But yeah, man,
- 11:47Speaker 1: really interesting to see what happens. Shout out to the
- 11:50Speaker 1: Yankees for getting it done. And for, like I said,
- 11:53Speaker 1: shout out to the kids, man. The kids, kids really, really,
- 11:56Speaker 1: really got it done. I mean, even today, they, I mean,
- 12:03Speaker 1: they got, they just, you know, like I said, boom.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Chisholm doesn't play in the first game, but then he
- 12:10Speaker 1: plays tonight, goes two for three. You know? um you
- 12:17Speaker 1: have you know obviously freed is one of your big
- 12:22Speaker 1: pitchers you decide to go ahead and go with chitler
- 12:25Speaker 1: in game one you come with freed in game two
- 12:27Speaker 1: and you know you have a guy a young dude
- 12:30Speaker 1: who's about to win a cy young you have freed
- 12:33Speaker 1: who is your hired gun who you brought in and
- 12:36Speaker 1: both of them deliver in a major way on the
- 12:40Speaker 1: mound as the starter that's huge That gives you, that
- 12:44Speaker 1: gives them, that gives everybody involved real confidence going into
- 12:50Speaker 1: this division series against the Rays. Now, the Rays had
- 12:53Speaker 1: the best overall record in the American League. The Yankees
- 12:58Speaker 1: did handle the Rays in their last series that they
- 13:00Speaker 1: played in September. Really got to their bullpen. So, you know,
- 13:04Speaker 1: like I said, if you're a Yankee fan, you should
- 13:06Speaker 1: be as confident as ever. And you should be, you know,
- 13:08Speaker 1: Yankee fans don't want to hear about the future. They
- 13:10Speaker 1: want to hear about now. But I'd be real, real happy.
- 13:13Speaker 1: with some of these kids that they currently have. The
- 13:19Speaker 1: New York Jets, they lost another heartbreaker, another close one,
- 13:24Speaker 1: 31-24 to the Lions. They stormed back in the fourth quarter.
- 13:30Speaker 1: At one point, they're down 24-10. Geno gets red hot. Man,
- 13:32Speaker 1: shout to Geno, 31-37, 321 yards, three touchdowns. had a
- 13:41Speaker 1: couple balls that were just absolute dots, just dimes that
- 13:43Speaker 1: he just fired in there. Well done, Gino. And overall, man,
- 13:51Speaker 1: this Jets team, the real question that I have for
- 13:54Speaker 1: Jets fans, if you're watching now and you're in the comments,
- 13:57Speaker 1: I want to know this, or if you're watching on
- 13:59Speaker 1: the replay, please let me know how you feel. Is
- 14:04Speaker 1: this what we asked for? Because I see some people
- 14:09Speaker 1: who They still want to fire the coach, and they
- 14:14Speaker 1: think that Glenn doesn't know what he's doing, and, you know,
- 14:17Speaker 1: the roster's just not that good. We played the Packers,
- 14:20Speaker 1: who just got waxed by Atlanta, so they suck. We
- 14:24Speaker 1: played the Titans, who everybody knows they suck, and the
- 14:27Speaker 1: Lions aren't even that good. So this is all a mirage, and,
- 14:33Speaker 1: you know, the Jets are continuing on a march to nowhere.
- 14:37Speaker 1: And then I see other people who say, you know what? Hey, man,
- 14:40Speaker 1: what do we ask for? We ask for a competitive
- 14:42Speaker 1: football team. You can't look at this football team thus
- 14:45Speaker 1: far and say that they're not better than they were
- 14:48Speaker 1: last year. So if the Jets are moving in the
- 14:55Speaker 1: right direction, then clearly that has to do something with
- 14:58Speaker 1: the coach and it has to do something with the
- 15:00Speaker 1: front office and they're making the right decisions. And, you know,
- 15:03Speaker 1: we can't expect it to all change overnight. Which camp
- 15:07Speaker 1: do you fall in? Because me personally, I'm somewhere in
- 15:12Speaker 1: the middle, but I'm definitely leaning further towards the, hey,
- 15:18Speaker 1: we're moving in the right direction. Because I still think
- 15:26Speaker 1: that Detroit is a good team. I think that this game,
- 15:32Speaker 1: we lost. There wasn't glaring coaching, clock, time, timeout. situational errors.
- 15:42Speaker 1: We didn't see that from Glenn this time. And so, yeah, man,
- 15:47Speaker 1: I really, I got to ask you, like, is this
- 15:51Speaker 1: what we asked for? Are the Jets moving in the
- 15:52Speaker 1: right direction? Or do you feel like Glenn is a
- 15:56Speaker 1: stooge and we need to tear it all down again?
- 15:58Speaker 1: You can only tear it all down so many times, man,
- 16:02Speaker 1: in a short, you know, period and hope to continue
- 16:07Speaker 1: to be a respectful, But at the same time, if
- 16:10Speaker 1: he's not the guy, then every moment that you continue
- 16:13Speaker 1: to hang on to him is an overall bad idea
- 16:18Speaker 1: for you. So tough one. Tough one for the Jets.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Tough loss. Tough that they lost Brees Hall, man. Brees
- 16:25Speaker 1: Hall is week to week. He's got a hip. Especially
- 16:27Speaker 1: tough for my fantasy team, Glennon Juice, which is now
- 16:33Speaker 1: missing their number two pick. Tough one. You know, he falls.
- 16:39Speaker 1: He's got the hip. It's one of my things with Brees, man.
- 16:42Speaker 1: And one of my things that made me a little
- 16:43Speaker 1: bit nervous about giving him a contract is that Brees,
- 16:47Speaker 1: you know, almost every year there's something. And there's obviously
- 16:53Speaker 1: been times that it was major when he blew out
- 16:54Speaker 1: his knee against Denver. So I hope that Brees is okay.
- 17:03Speaker 1: I hope that, you know, it's only a couple weeks.
- 17:06Speaker 1: I don't see it being less than two weeks, honestly.
- 17:08Speaker 1: That's just the way it feels to me, the way
- 17:10Speaker 1: it's being reported on. I know they say week to week.
- 17:13Speaker 1: I say minimum two. I wouldn't be surprised if it
- 17:15Speaker 1: was four or six. But they say that he's got
- 17:19Speaker 1: good news as far as the imaging goes. We'll see
- 17:22Speaker 1: with Brees. And, you know, the defense, the defense just,
- 17:28Speaker 1: the defense wasn't horrible. But they seem to give up
- 17:32Speaker 1: the back-breaking advantage Big play down the field. Whenever we
- 17:41Speaker 1: really needed to stop. David Bailey just barely missing a sack. And,
- 17:49Speaker 1: you know, we give up a 24-yard gain, I believe.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Jared Goff did say to Aaron Glenn after the game, like, hey, man,
- 17:57Speaker 1: they're taking on your personality. You know, you guys aren't
- 18:00Speaker 1: that far off. He said something nice to him. Obviously,
- 18:04Speaker 1: you know, you have Aaron Glenn, who used to be
- 18:07Speaker 1: the defensive coordinator. So the big storyline was him and
- 18:11Speaker 1: Dan Campbell and their relationship. Those two both speak so
- 18:14Speaker 1: glowingly of each other. Blah, blah, blah. I don't give
- 18:17Speaker 1: a fuck. You know, that's cool. I'd be a much
- 18:22Speaker 1: cooler narrative if, you know, we'd won. I'd like it
- 18:27Speaker 1: a lot more then. But now, next week, we play
- 18:30Speaker 1: against Chicago just won an impressive game against the Philadelphia
- 18:40Speaker 1: Eagles where they don't have their quarterback. They don't have
- 18:44Speaker 1: Caleb Williams. And they go out there and, I mean,
- 18:51Speaker 1: they just boat raced them. I was so, so surprised
- 18:58Speaker 1: by how good they looked. I mean, they looked excellent,
- 19:04Speaker 1: and they did it with Case Keenum. Guy hasn't started
- 19:09Speaker 1: a game in over a thousand days. And he comes out,
- 19:14Speaker 1: lights it up. So what does that tell you? It
- 19:16Speaker 1: tells you Ben Johnson is an offensive genius, which is
- 19:18Speaker 1: something that we already know. And, you know, Aaron Glenn
- 19:21Speaker 1: used to go up against him every single day in
- 19:22Speaker 1: practice because when he was the defensive coordinator at Detroit,
- 19:27Speaker 1: guess who was the offensive coordinator? Ben Johnson. So. I'm
- 19:31Speaker 1: very nervous about what Ben Johnson and the Bears could
- 19:35Speaker 1: possibly do to this Jets defense. This Jets defense sometimes
- 19:38Speaker 1: can get gashed. It seems like Ben Johnson is extremely
- 19:41Speaker 1: good at getting matchups, getting situations, and being able to
- 19:45Speaker 1: make sure his quarterback does exactly what he's supposed to do.
- 19:49Speaker 1: And that's the thing. When it comes to Case Keenum,
- 19:54Speaker 1: he's been around the block, man. He's like, what do
- 19:57Speaker 1: you know? There's no improvisation or anything too crazy. Now,
- 20:03Speaker 1: they say that, dude, what, Tyson Badgett? Yeah, Badgen is
- 20:09Speaker 1: supposed to possibly be healthy, and he was listed as
- 20:11Speaker 1: number two in the depth chart. I don't see it.
- 20:14Speaker 1: I mean, so the overall consensus is that Caleb Williams
- 20:19Speaker 1: is not going to play. I cannot see how you
- 20:22Speaker 1: possibly could now play this other kid instead of Keenum
- 20:26Speaker 1: in this game after the way that he just performed
- 20:29Speaker 1: against the Eagles. No way. No way. Eagles, you know,
- 20:33Speaker 1: everybody wants to do some shit like get rid of
- 20:36Speaker 1: a guy like A.J. Brown. Those impact receivers, man, there's,
- 20:40Speaker 1: you know, that shit matters, man. Everything changes for everybody
- 20:44Speaker 1: when that guy's not on the field. Now everybody, now
- 20:49Speaker 1: number two, you number one. Now running back, there's an
- 20:51Speaker 1: extra guy in the box. Now quarterback, you know, this
- 20:56Speaker 1: guy's bracketed, this guy's, you know, everybody wants to give
- 21:00Speaker 1: up on that shit, especially when he's, you got a
- 21:02Speaker 1: big dude who's number one receiver. I know you might
- 21:05Speaker 1: have some issues. I know you might be going through
- 21:06Speaker 1: some shit. Just a couple years ago, y'all won the
- 21:09Speaker 1: Super Bowl and he was the man. Let's figure this
- 21:11Speaker 1: shit out. Let's talk about it. Let's figure it out.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Everybody wants to get rid of somebody. Who the fuck
- 21:16Speaker 1: are you replacing him with? And yeah, oh yeah, Philly.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Philly taking all the L's. So Philly, they lost that game, right?
- 21:25Speaker 1: And then you had Bron coming out and saying that
- 21:29Speaker 1: the Knicks were, he wanted to be a Knick. He
- 21:33Speaker 1: wanted to finish out his career in the Garden. But
- 21:35Speaker 1: once the Knicks won the chip, he knew that the
- 21:37Speaker 1: media would never let him get over it if he
- 21:39Speaker 1: went to the, you know, last year's champion. So that's
- 21:42Speaker 1: why he went to Philly. You know, can you be
- 21:45Speaker 1: more blatant in saying that, like, well, this is my
- 21:48Speaker 1: consolation choice? If I'm a Philly fan, I would not
- 21:52Speaker 1: love that at all. And Bron, Bron looks like he's
- 21:56Speaker 1: got a bald cap on. I'm dead at... The fact
- 22:02Speaker 1: that LeBron James has... The resources that he does... And...
- 22:10Speaker 1: He has never been able to get... The proper... Transplant... Plugs... Wig...
- 22:17Speaker 1: Tube hay... Whatever... I mean... Whatever the best solution... Possibly
- 22:23Speaker 1: could be... The fact that Braun... Has never been able...
- 22:28Speaker 1: To figure that out... With his resources... Both... his endless
- 22:36Speaker 1: financial resources, and also his endless connections, and I'm sure
- 22:41Speaker 1: the best people in the world who do this thing
- 22:45Speaker 1: were reaching out and trying to help Braun. But he
- 22:47Speaker 1: was never able to get anything that you saw. You
- 22:50Speaker 1: would see him every once in a while, like in
- 22:51Speaker 1: a movie. You would see him every once in a while,
- 22:54Speaker 1: like maybe, you know, first couple days of training camp.
- 22:56Speaker 1: But then as you were going through, you saw he
- 22:59Speaker 1: was losing it. How crazy is that, that Braun... was
- 23:04Speaker 1: never able to defeat the receding hairline. It's sad. It's interesting.
- 23:11Speaker 1: It should be studied. It really should be. And yeah, man,
- 23:18Speaker 1: he wants to be, like I said, he wanted to
- 23:22Speaker 1: be a Knick. The Knicks won a championship. The Knicks,
- 23:26Speaker 1: I also think, did not want him. And therefore, he
- 23:30Speaker 1: went to Philly. And we'll see how that works out
- 23:32Speaker 1: for him. And then, The Phillies then turned around. They
- 23:35Speaker 1: lost game one of their wildcard series, but they tied
- 23:38Speaker 1: it up today against the Braves. I mean, listen, Phillies, Braves,
- 23:41Speaker 1: there's no teams I hate more. But you know what?
- 23:44Speaker 1: There's no two teams that I hate more, but I
- 23:46Speaker 1: do hate the Phillies more than the Braves. The Philadelphia
- 23:50Speaker 1: Phillies hold a special place in my heart as far
- 23:52Speaker 1: as teams that I hate in all of sports, specifically
- 23:55Speaker 1: going back to the Chase Utleys and the Jimmy Rollins
- 23:59Speaker 1: of the world. Yeah. fuck the Phillies, man, and so
- 24:07Speaker 1: I was happy to see, the whole city of Philadelphia,
- 24:09Speaker 1: I don't hate the Eagles like that, because I'm a
- 24:12Speaker 1: Knicks fan, I'm sorry, because I'm a Jets fan, but
- 24:15Speaker 1: as being a Knicks fan, I didn't like, I didn't
- 24:17Speaker 1: have this deep hatred for the Sixers, going back to
- 24:22Speaker 1: like my youth, like I do like the Heat, or
- 24:25Speaker 1: the Pacers, or the Bulls, but recently, not playing them,
- 24:30Speaker 1: because I mean, we beat them every time we play them,
- 24:32Speaker 1: but specifically that bitch Joelle Embiid and that dirty shit
- 24:36Speaker 1: that he does, specifically to my guy Mitch. And just
- 24:40Speaker 1: he has the whole low light of all the dirty
- 24:43Speaker 1: shit he's done around the league. He's that type of dude. So, yeah, man,
- 24:47Speaker 1: fuck Philly, man. Fuck Philly. Sadiq for the Jets. Hey,
- 24:54Speaker 1: bit of an emergence. Looks like he's doing some things.
- 24:57Speaker 1: That dime from Gino to him on the touchdown. Puts
- 25:00Speaker 1: it right in the only perfect spot. Sadiq makes a
- 25:02Speaker 1: great athletic catch. He looks like a real weapon. Over
- 25:06Speaker 1: 100 yards for the first time. You know, gets the
- 25:08Speaker 1: touchdown like I said. Only thing that worries you about
- 25:11Speaker 1: him is every time he makes a big catch, he
- 25:13Speaker 1: gets up and he's limping. Every single time. Yo, man.
- 25:20Speaker 1: This is the worry about him coming out. He would
- 25:24Speaker 1: have been a much higher pick if he didn't have
- 25:25Speaker 1: the injury stuff. Physically, he's an absolute freak. His size.
- 25:29Speaker 1: match with his speed, agility, quickness, all the things. You
- 25:33Speaker 1: don't see it often. Just has a hard time staying
- 25:37Speaker 1: on the field. This Bree shit makes me very nervous.
- 25:42Speaker 1: This Ben Johnson, Ben Johnson makes me nervous, man. Yo,
- 25:46Speaker 1: did you, if you saw that Giants shit, man, the pregame,
- 25:52Speaker 1: Jameis Winston, Jameis Winston, James, I love him. Yo, he
- 25:59Speaker 1: always delivers. He always delivers. His pregame where he's looking
- 26:02Speaker 1: off and he starts talking about how, you know, happy
- 26:05Speaker 1: they are. And then I don't know if it was
- 26:07Speaker 1: in the pregame when it was another one where he
- 26:09Speaker 1: started sending. It was postgame where he starts talking about
- 26:11Speaker 1: Jackson Dart. We scored 12 points. Six plus six is 12. Yo, James, man,
- 26:19Speaker 1: can you hurry up and retire so we can get
- 26:21Speaker 1: you on a mic more often? I saw some shit
- 26:26Speaker 1: the other day. Somebody somewhere brought him a big cookie,
- 26:28Speaker 1: like a W and they bid it together. I mean,
- 26:30Speaker 1: he's just, he's a, he's an American treasure. He, the,
- 26:35Speaker 1: the hits don't stop coming. You know, Hey, the giants
- 26:39Speaker 1: look like maybe they are trying to get it retired.
- 26:41Speaker 1: The giants, they beat the Titans last week. The Titans suck.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Titans are garbage, but the giants, they bring in JJ McCarthy.
- 26:51Speaker 1: That's a big swing, but it's a, it's a, it's a,
- 26:54Speaker 1: it's a, low-risk, high-reward move, in my opinion. Dude was
- 26:59Speaker 1: just a first-round pick. I mean, come on. Coming off
- 27:05Speaker 1: a national championship with your head coach's brother, by the way,
- 27:14Speaker 1: and then he's a number 10 overall pick, and just
- 27:19Speaker 1: a couple years later, they're willing to give him up
- 27:21Speaker 1: for a fifth-round pick. I don't know what's going on
- 27:23Speaker 1: over there. Now that he left Minnesota, the shit will
- 27:25Speaker 1: probably start to leak out. It's probably going to start
- 27:32Speaker 1: to leak out now. And we're going to find out
- 27:34Speaker 1: because his fall from grace there was just so quick
- 27:38Speaker 1: and just so, so steep. And so Giants bring him in.
- 27:43Speaker 1: They got a chance to be able to have a
- 27:46Speaker 1: guy who can, you know, give them a little bit
- 27:49Speaker 1: more than Jameis. As much as we love Jameis and
- 27:51Speaker 1: we love Jameis on a microphone, As a quarterback, it's
- 27:57Speaker 1: never been great. He was a guy that had a
- 27:59Speaker 1: huge arm and was ready and willing to risk it
- 28:03Speaker 1: for the biscuit. And now, a little bit of fall off.
- 28:11Speaker 1: I don't know. Maybe he just needs another week practicing
- 28:13Speaker 1: with the ones. But I don't think so, man. And
- 28:16Speaker 1: so we're going to see how long it takes J.J.
- 28:18Speaker 1: McCarthy to get that shot. OBJ got cut. He wasn't
- 28:21Speaker 1: being used properly. I know a lot of Giants fans
- 28:24Speaker 1: are nostalgic about him, thought him coming back was going
- 28:27Speaker 1: to be something, and so they were excited. But he
- 28:29Speaker 1: wasn't being used, and, you know, that was what it was. And, yeah,
- 28:35Speaker 1: he'll now be looking to, you know, I guess latch
- 28:38Speaker 1: on with some sort of contender. I don't really see
- 28:42Speaker 1: that happening, man. I think it's over for him. I
- 28:45Speaker 1: really do. And, yeah, man, the Giants... The question is
- 28:53Speaker 1: for Giants fans. Let me know in the chat. Yo,
- 28:56Speaker 1: do you now... Are you tank-a-thon? Because I've seen some
- 29:00Speaker 1: people on X-Tech talking like that. Personally, I don't understand
- 29:03Speaker 1: how you fan like that ever. But are you tank-a-thon
- 29:06Speaker 1: now at this point? There's no Jackson Dart. What? Unless
- 29:09Speaker 1: you think McCarthy's going to come in and somehow lead
- 29:11Speaker 1: you to a playoff run, you guys are going to
- 29:14Speaker 1: be able to find lightning in a bottle with him
- 29:16Speaker 1: and fulfill his potential. What a story would that be?
- 29:20Speaker 1: Because then what do you do You got Jackson Dart.
- 29:23Speaker 1: You got him. Obviously, we'll see. We'll see. But that
- 29:27Speaker 1: would be quite the story if that happens. And, yeah, man,
- 29:31Speaker 1: Giants fans tell me, you know, are you going for
- 29:33Speaker 1: it or do you want him to get the best
- 29:36Speaker 1: pick possible? Knicks had their media day. So what's clear
- 29:44Speaker 1: is that Cat, Hart, and Deuce, they all want new deals.
- 29:48Speaker 1: They all want new deals and they want them now.
- 29:54Speaker 1: I mean, guys have been very open And have come
- 30:00Speaker 1: out and said very clearly, like, hey, man, like, you know,
- 30:04Speaker 1: I want to be here. And they know I want
- 30:08Speaker 1: to be here. And it's just up to them to
- 30:09Speaker 1: get it done. Kat, it makes me a little nervous.
- 30:14Speaker 1: I sat on here last week with my guy, Nickinator.
- 30:16Speaker 1: And we both said, like, I don't really feel like
- 30:18Speaker 1: it's a big deal. I feel like at the end
- 30:20Speaker 1: of the day, like, it'll get done. Kat will be fine.
- 30:22Speaker 1: But the one thing that does make me nervous is
- 30:24Speaker 1: that we know that Kat is a guy who, you know,
- 30:28Speaker 1: can be somewhat emotional. And I don't mean that in
- 30:31Speaker 1: any other way than last year when there was rumors
- 30:37Speaker 1: that he wasn't going to get– that there was a
- 30:42Speaker 1: possibility he was offered for Giannis in the offseason. And
- 30:46Speaker 1: then there was rumors around the trade deadline about a
- 30:48Speaker 1: possible trade involving him for Giannis. And, you know, I
- 30:55Speaker 1: can't– it's hard to not look at Karl-Anthony Towns last season.
- 31:00Speaker 1: and say that when the trade deadline passed, he all
- 31:09Speaker 1: of a sudden seemed like he was a better player.
- 31:14Speaker 1: It seemed like that had a very, very, very big
- 31:18Speaker 1: effect on him. And so you look at him and
- 31:21Speaker 1: you wonder to yourself, is this something that is going
- 31:27Speaker 1: to bother him going into this season, not having this
- 31:33Speaker 1: deal done. When he said clearly that he wants to
- 31:36Speaker 1: get it done, he wants to get it done before
- 31:37Speaker 1: the season starts. Josh Cart said the exact same. Deuce
- 31:40Speaker 1: also talks about the fact that he was upset that
- 31:42Speaker 1: he wasn't able to get it done. You know, he's
- 31:44Speaker 1: played through injury. Deuce, I think you might need to
- 31:46Speaker 1: pipe down there, bud. You might need to pipe down, okay?
- 31:51Speaker 1: You're third on the list at best. And personally, when
- 31:57Speaker 1: I look at a guy like Alvarado, And I look
- 32:00Speaker 1: at the emergence of Landry Shamit. Um, I, and I
- 32:03Speaker 1: also look at the fact that we don't have a
- 32:05Speaker 1: young rim running rim protecting center. I wonder how expendable deuces.
- 32:09Speaker 1: And so a deuce pipe down. The real question is,
- 32:14Speaker 1: can drum and replace Mitch? You know, I listen to
- 32:20Speaker 1: fed defensively. He cannot, he's not the defender that Mitch
- 32:23Speaker 1: Robinson is. He is statistically a fantastic offensive rebounder. Um,
- 32:28Speaker 1: I mean, like a generational offensive rebounder, an all-time offensive rebounder.
- 32:32Speaker 1: Andre Drummond is that. Mitch, obviously, we saw as Knicks
- 32:38Speaker 1: fans how dominant he could be in that aspect of
- 32:41Speaker 1: the game, and then he had the biggest offensive rebound
- 32:44Speaker 1: in Knicks history to close out Game 5 of the Finals,
- 32:48Speaker 1: where he's giving Wimby so much hell that Wimby can't
- 32:51Speaker 1: even get his hands above his shoulders. Mitch snatches it,
- 32:54Speaker 1: kicks it out to Josh Hart. Josh Hart gets fouled ballgame.
- 33:00Speaker 1: I just think that Drummond will give you the offensive rebounding,
- 33:06Speaker 1: at least on a close level. The lob threat and
- 33:10Speaker 1: the defense at the rim, not so much. But he
- 33:15Speaker 1: can shoot a three. According to Mitch, he's going to
- 33:17Speaker 1: be shooting threes. Mitch is, they say they're opening up
- 33:20Speaker 1: his game. They want him away from the basket a
- 33:23Speaker 1: little bit more. And also, no restrictions. He's going to
- 33:26Speaker 1: be playing all the back-to-backs. I think if the Celtics
- 33:29Speaker 1: don't have a protocol similar to what the Knicks had
- 33:31Speaker 1: last year that is built on getting Mitch to the
- 33:34Speaker 1: end of the season and getting into the playoffs and
- 33:36Speaker 1: being totally healthy, that is a drastic mistake by the Celtics.
- 33:42Speaker 1: If you're a Knicks fan, you already know. Mitchell Robinson
- 33:44Speaker 1: is not playing no 70-something games and then being healthy
- 33:48Speaker 1: all throughout the playoffs. No, no, no, no. If you
- 33:51Speaker 1: were the Celtics, I'm telling you, you need to have
- 33:55Speaker 1: a protocol. You need to have a plan. that is
- 33:57Speaker 1: made to prolong this guy, and it is not having
- 34:01Speaker 1: him playing back-to-backs and shit like that. Absolutely not. We're
- 34:06Speaker 1: getting close, though, man. September 30th, so we got 20 days.
- 34:10Speaker 1: 20 days till the Knicks raise the banners, till the
- 34:12Speaker 1: Knicks get their rings, till they take on LeBron, and
- 34:16Speaker 1: I can't wait, man. I cannot wait for basketball season
- 34:18Speaker 1: to start. I can't wait to see what this Knicks
- 34:19Speaker 1: team is going to do. Brunson on SNL, I thought
- 34:23Speaker 1: he did a good job. It wasn't great. It was good.
- 34:25Speaker 1: It wasn't great. He's a professional athlete. He's not an actor.
- 34:30Speaker 1: His hardest part was breaking. He kept laughing. And there
- 34:34Speaker 1: was a couple times where he tripped over his words
- 34:37Speaker 1: a little bit, but nothing too crazy. But he had
- 34:38Speaker 1: pretty good timing. He was funny. I thought the thing
- 34:41Speaker 1: that they did in the monologue with the other Knicks
- 34:43Speaker 1: was funny. OG's fucking hilarious. We're starting to realize that
- 34:49Speaker 1: this whole thing with OG and him being kind of
- 34:51Speaker 1: a stooge and being awkward, OG know what he's doing.
- 34:58Speaker 1: He's on wherever he is on the spectrum. He's got
- 35:00Speaker 1: it dialed in. Okay? Shout out to the Knicks, man.
- 35:05Speaker 1: I looked at my wife. My wife, we were watching
- 35:07Speaker 1: a show. She's like, I got to run to the bathroom.
- 35:08Speaker 1: She went to the bathroom. She came back in. I
- 35:09Speaker 1: was smiling. I'm sitting there. I'm looking at my phone.
- 35:11Speaker 1: She looks at me. She tells me something. I don't
- 35:12Speaker 1: remember what it was. Sorry, babe. But then I look
- 35:14Speaker 1: at her, and I'm just like, the Knicks won the championship.
- 35:19Speaker 1: She said, I could hear when I was walking back
- 35:22Speaker 1: that you were listening to Knicks highlights. And I'm like,
- 35:25Speaker 1: this man is just... yeah it's still still to this
- 35:29Speaker 1: day till this day I have moments where I just
- 35:35Speaker 1: yo we really did it we really did it some
- 35:41Speaker 1: Knicks news today that uh wasn't so good for me
- 35:45Speaker 1: Isaiah Thomas is back a part of the organization he
- 35:50Speaker 1: is gonna be on the board of directors when the
- 35:52Speaker 1: Knicks become their own entity um yo man listen ah Zeke, Isaiah,
- 35:59Speaker 1: great player. Respect him so much. He is responsible for
- 36:03Speaker 1: some of the worst years, worst moves, and worst times
- 36:06Speaker 1: of my Knicks fandom, of my youth, period, overall. Not
- 36:10Speaker 1: just my Knicks fandom, just of my youth. You know,
- 36:15Speaker 1: Dolan loves this guy. He really does. He clearly really
- 36:19Speaker 1: has a relationship with them. They clearly, you know, both
- 36:23Speaker 1: go to bat for and take care of each other.
- 36:26Speaker 1: And now he's going to be part of the board
- 36:28Speaker 1: of directors. I don't know what that means. If he
- 36:30Speaker 1: has anything to do with basketball decisions, it's ridiculous. And
- 36:33Speaker 1: I'm starting to get a little nervous with Dolan because
- 36:35Speaker 1: last year when the Knicks got into the finals, all
- 36:37Speaker 1: of a sudden he's talking again. He's going on with
- 36:40Speaker 1: Craig Carton. He's being quoted and saying this and saying that,
- 36:43Speaker 1: talking about the second apron. And then the video of
- 36:46Speaker 1: him talking to the team, which that's not so much
- 36:49Speaker 1: because they put that out after the fact. But why
- 36:53Speaker 1: that was even being videoed, I thought was a little
- 36:54Speaker 1: bit interesting, but I guess, you know, I'm stupid. It's 2026.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Everything is being recorded. And so I just don't want
- 37:02Speaker 1: Dolan to get emboldened now and revert back to old Dolan. Dolan,
- 37:09Speaker 1: please remember that things changed when you faded to the
- 37:13Speaker 1: background and hired Leon Rose and let him do his thing. Please, please, please, please, please. Don't,
- 37:23Speaker 1: don't revert back to the old Dolan. The last thing
- 37:27Speaker 1: we need is this guy being involved. You know, now
- 37:32Speaker 1: he wants to bring back Isaiah. I just, the last
- 37:35Speaker 1: thing I ever need to even hear rumblings about are
- 37:39Speaker 1: how Leon feels like, you know, his toes are being stabbed.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Just Dolan, please, please. I don't want to wait another
- 37:53Speaker 1: 53 years, Dolan. Please. I don't have another 53 years,
- 37:58Speaker 1: most likely. Please. I don't watch a lot of WNBA.
- 38:08Speaker 1: If I was a fan of anybody, it'd be the Liberty.
- 38:10Speaker 1: I saw Liberty games back when they were in a
- 38:12Speaker 1: garden when I was young. My dad had season tickets,
- 38:14Speaker 1: so I think I went with him and my little
- 38:16Speaker 1: sister once. I maybe went one other time. And I've
- 38:19Speaker 1: been to at least one, maybe two Mercury games with
- 38:23Speaker 1: my daughter out here in Phoenix. But I admittedly, I
- 38:27Speaker 1: do not watch a ton of WNBA. I know that
- 38:32Speaker 1: if you, somehow, if you say this, many people will
- 38:37Speaker 1: think you're offensive, but I mean, I don't know. If
- 38:40Speaker 1: you know me and you rock with me overall, you
- 38:42Speaker 1: know that this comes from no other place than just
- 38:44Speaker 1: as far as like aesthetically what I like watching on
- 38:46Speaker 1: a basketball court. I don't enjoy it that much. I
- 38:49Speaker 1: respect them as good ballplayers, you know, but it's just
- 38:53Speaker 1: not for me. But I do watch sometimes. I watch,
- 38:57Speaker 1: you know, when it gets, you know, when it's big games,
- 38:58Speaker 1: when it's late, like when Liberty were in the finals
- 39:01Speaker 1: a couple years ago. Liberty, they just advanced. I know
- 39:04Speaker 1: they're the one seed against the eighth seed. And then, obviously,
- 39:07Speaker 1: when things happen throughout the season, when people are, you know,
- 39:10Speaker 1: getting clotheslined or getting kicked out of games or having,
- 39:13Speaker 1: you know, big back and forths and shit like that,
- 39:14Speaker 1: just because of the way that I follow sports, I
- 39:16Speaker 1: catch one of those things. I mean, I catch when to...
- 39:18Speaker 1: shit like that when it happens in golf. And I don't,
- 39:21Speaker 1: I damn sure don't watch any of that. So, you know,
- 39:23Speaker 1: I feel like I do probably know a lot more
- 39:25Speaker 1: than a casual fan about the wmba but um if
- 39:29Speaker 1: you're somebody who's really into it who loves it somebody
- 39:31Speaker 1: like my pops um then yeah i mean you know
- 39:33Speaker 1: way more than i do but the liberty did advance
- 39:36Speaker 1: they were the one seed played against um the eighth
- 39:38Speaker 1: seed the uh minnesota links and they win and they
- 39:41Speaker 1: win pretty handedly brianna stewart um one of the greatest
- 39:44Speaker 1: uh just basketball careers of all time and she just
- 39:47Speaker 1: absolutely balls out of control in that first game And
- 39:49Speaker 1: then Liberty take care of business in the second game.
- 39:53Speaker 1: And then yesterday I see this thing with Aja Williams and,
- 39:56Speaker 1: you know, a fan getting kicked out and she's so upset.
- 39:58Speaker 1: And the fan is, excuse me, the fan at first
- 40:05Speaker 1: gets kicked out of his seat, gets kicked out of
- 40:06Speaker 1: the game, but then he gets brought back. And so
- 40:09Speaker 1: then I'm like, that's a little weird. And then as
- 40:13Speaker 1: they keep talking about it, you know, I see at
- 40:15Speaker 1: the end they're talking to Aja Wilson. And this was
- 40:18Speaker 1: her quote. If I see a man coming to me,
- 40:21Speaker 1: taking steps toward me and pointing at me, I don't
- 40:23Speaker 1: give a damn what you said. I don't give a
- 40:25Speaker 1: damn how you said it. The tone, that is unacceptable.
- 40:28Speaker 1: Wilson said after the game, you don't know me to
- 40:31Speaker 1: step toward me and point at me. I'm not for
- 40:34Speaker 1: that shit at all. That there is unacceptable how he
- 40:37Speaker 1: gets back in the game because they said he didn't
- 40:39Speaker 1: do anything. Of course he did. So what I'm taking
- 40:44Speaker 1: from this is that he walked towards her and was
- 40:47Speaker 1: pointing at her. but he didn't say anything that was,
- 40:50Speaker 1: you know, out of pocket. I mean, I'd like to
- 40:54Speaker 1: see the tape of him walking towards her. Cause I mean,
- 40:57Speaker 1: what was he like? He was somewhere where there was
- 41:00Speaker 1: like a little like runway next to his, or he
- 41:02Speaker 1: was walking down the steps from his seat. Like what,
- 41:04Speaker 1: how exactly was he walking towards her? How much walking
- 41:07Speaker 1: towards her? Did he do like away from his seat? Um,
- 41:12Speaker 1: because I pointing at you, I don't know, man. I'd really,
- 41:20Speaker 1: really like to see good video of him walking towards
- 41:24Speaker 1: her and exactly what that looked like. I looked for
- 41:28Speaker 1: it earlier. I don't know. Fan incident. Let me see
- 41:34Speaker 1: if maybe there's some more video. All I see is
- 41:41Speaker 1: her coming at him and yelling at him. but I
- 41:44Speaker 1: would love to know what manner of walking towards her
- 41:47Speaker 1: and pointing at her. He did without saying anything crazy
- 41:51Speaker 1: that got her so upset because if he didn't say
- 41:54Speaker 1: anything too crazy, I mean, he kind of just like
- 41:57Speaker 1: stepped out of his seat and like step forward and
- 41:59Speaker 1: was pointing at her, especially he's pointing at her because
- 42:04Speaker 1: Sophie Cunningham, that's her thing. She points. I thought that
- 42:07Speaker 1: she was kind of funny. Honestly, she did it. Um,
- 42:10Speaker 1: cause she's just clearly trolling, but yo, I, I, I'm sorry, but, like,
- 42:14Speaker 1: pointing at you, that's so bad. Like, you've been playing
- 42:21Speaker 1: WNBA basketball. You've been playing high-level basketball. I mean, high school.
- 42:26Speaker 1: When you really nice, trust me, when you nice, I've
- 42:31Speaker 1: seen it with people. Fuck it. I've seen it with
- 42:35Speaker 1: my own son. When the boy was five years old
- 42:38Speaker 1: and he was nice and he was dominating, people hate.
- 42:43Speaker 1: People get fired up and start literally rooting against you
- 42:46Speaker 1: when you a little ass kid, when you on the
- 42:47Speaker 1: other team and you busting their ass. So I have
- 42:53Speaker 1: seen how people can treat athletes at that level, targeting
- 42:58Speaker 1: all the way up to being the best player in
- 43:00Speaker 1: the WNBA. Possibly the greatest player in the history of
- 43:05Speaker 1: women's basketball. Definitely since WNBA times, people talking about Cheryl
- 43:09Speaker 1: Miller type shit. and somebody pointing at you, but not
- 43:15Speaker 1: saying anything too crazy. Cause she's kind of acknowledging that
- 43:17Speaker 1: he didn't say anything too crazy. That really, really gets
- 43:20Speaker 1: under your skin. That really bothers you. That's hard for
- 43:23Speaker 1: me to understand. It really is. Um, I just overall, man,
- 43:30Speaker 1: you know, I don't know. I feel like there's gotta
- 43:32Speaker 1: be more to it. Like if he just walked, if
- 43:34Speaker 1: he just like stepped out walking towards you, he's in
- 43:36Speaker 1: his seat. So he gets up out of his seat.
- 43:38Speaker 1: He maybe like steps into the aisle or whatever. And
- 43:40Speaker 1: he points, uh, And he's down and he's close to
- 43:42Speaker 1: the floor. And that makes you want to come off
- 43:45Speaker 1: of the floor towards him and confront him? That just
- 43:49Speaker 1: seems super weird to me. If there's not more to it,
- 43:54Speaker 1: then I think she overreacted, personally. And I think that
- 43:57Speaker 1: the fact that they sent him back out there means
- 43:59Speaker 1: that they reviewed the situation, they looked at it. You know,
- 44:01Speaker 1: in these WNBA and NBA crowds, if there's an issue
- 44:05Speaker 1: between a player and a fan, they almost always... Get
- 44:10Speaker 1: that person up out of there. And that's that. The
- 44:14Speaker 1: fact that they got that guy out immediately and went
- 44:18Speaker 1: ahead and sent him back to his seat. I don't know, man.
- 44:23Speaker 1: I think she might have overreacted. I don't know. Maybe
- 44:25Speaker 1: we'll find out more. And if we do, then I'm
- 44:28Speaker 1: always obviously entitled to change my opinion. And I'll say sorry, Asia.
- 44:33Speaker 1: I don't really think she gives a fuck what I say.
- 44:35Speaker 1: But yeah, man. Yeah, man. We're going to get up
- 44:39Speaker 1: out of here. It's late. Replay gang, holla at me.
- 44:42Speaker 1: Make sure that you get out there on that replay
- 44:45Speaker 1: gang and make sure you hit that like. Give me
- 44:48Speaker 1: a comment, man. I asked some questions. I asked y'all
- 44:50Speaker 1: some questions. Tell me what y'all thinking. I promise to reply.
- 44:53Speaker 1: I do not promise to be nice. We've been getting
- 44:56Speaker 1: some momentum here, man. We're getting a lot more views,
- 44:58Speaker 1: a lot more love. You know, the follower numbers are
- 45:01Speaker 1: growing as well. And I'm very, very thankful. I'm very,
- 45:04Speaker 1: very thankful to everybody involved. We're going to get my man, Bomb,
- 45:07Speaker 1: super producer. He ain't going nowhere. He's going to be
- 45:10Speaker 1: on here. We're having a little bit of schedule conflicts now.
- 45:13Speaker 1: There's soccer practices that need to be coached, and there's
- 45:17Speaker 1: kickball games that need to be played in. And between
- 45:20Speaker 1: everybody's things, we're figuring it out, and we're going to
- 45:22Speaker 1: get it figured out very, very soon. We're definitely going
- 45:26Speaker 1: to be having some guests here as well. I really
- 45:29Speaker 1: liked what we did last week with Nickinator. And, yeah, man,
- 45:32Speaker 1: it's going to be another interesting week in New York sports.
- 45:36Speaker 1: And I will be back here next week to, you know,
- 45:39Speaker 1: talk to you about it, man. It's not really a recap.
- 45:42Speaker 1: It's not a sports show. It's a dude who likes
- 45:44Speaker 1: sports and, you know, hanging with the people. But, yeah, man,
- 45:47Speaker 1: it's your boy NIC.
