- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome back to Artists on Artists on Artists on Artists.
- 0:07Speaker 2: This week on the show, Variety just announced their twenty
- 0:10Speaker 2: twenty four list of Halloween Poets.
- 0:14Speaker 3: As we know on this show, Halloween poets is one
- 0:16Speaker 3: of the greatest, most well known and recognized forms of
- 0:21Speaker 3: jobs relating to Halloween and poetry. We sat down with
- 0:25Speaker 3: five of this year's greatest Halloween poets, some new faces
- 0:30Speaker 3: that you're going to want to remember this time next year,
- 0:33Speaker 3: exactly to the day.
- 0:35Speaker 4: If you're not familiar with the job of a Halloween poet,
- 0:37Speaker 4: it is a poet focused only on the day of Halloween.
- 0:42Speaker 4: So let's sit back, relax, and get bolicious. It's time
- 0:48Speaker 4: for Halloween poets. Let's listen in.
- 0:55Speaker 5: Well, boo boo boo to you.
- 1:01Speaker 4: Also with you those ratulations everyone, congrabulations.
- 1:06Speaker 6: Congrabulations, congratulations. A great honor to be listed on varieties
- 1:11Speaker 6: Top ten Halloween Poets of twenty twenty four.
- 1:15Speaker 4: It's crazy. They never sit down with all ten of us.
- 1:17Speaker 4: They just do five at a time.
- 1:18Speaker 3: They just don't have it in the budget. They just
- 1:20Speaker 3: don't have it in the budget. I I get pinching myself.
- 1:23Speaker 3: I keep pinching myself like a little witch's fingernails. I
- 1:25Speaker 3: can't believe it.
- 1:26Speaker 5: I can't believe it.
- 1:28Speaker 6: It is fun, it's a wonderful and it's interesting that
- 1:31Speaker 6: they don't pick the top five.
- 1:33Speaker 5: They just pick whichever numbers they like in there, like
- 1:35Speaker 5: I think we got.
- 1:36Speaker 7: There's two schools of the award.
- 1:39Speaker 2: There's ten for the poets and five for the ones
- 1:42Speaker 2: they interview and.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Just just straight up to you when they print the list,
- 1:47Speaker 3: there's five that are in black and five that are
- 1:49Speaker 3: in orange because of Halloween, and we're the orange ones.
- 1:52Speaker 4: Yeah, when we interview, it's really fun. It's fun. So wow,
- 1:57Speaker 4: this is so exciting everybody. I'm so truly honored to
- 2:02Speaker 4: be sitting with such iconic, legendary Halloween poets. I know
- 2:07Speaker 4: our field is a little bit special, a little bit specific.
- 2:12Speaker 4: Does anyone to take a stab at maybe explaining what
- 2:14Speaker 4: we do just for the listener?
- 2:17Speaker 6: Well, yes, I can do that. So a Halloween poet
- 2:20Speaker 6: is it's very simple. Actually, it's a poet who writes
- 2:24Speaker 6: home poems, haha, poems about Halloween, and some people do
- 2:30Speaker 6: it for specific celebrities.
- 2:33Speaker 5: You can be a private Halloween poet.
- 2:35Speaker 6: You can also be a public facing Halloween poet. You
- 2:39Speaker 6: move up through the world through the open mic Halloween
- 2:42Speaker 6: Poet Society, and there is of course a Halloween Poets Union,
- 2:47Speaker 6: and there are many ways to bring yourself up as
- 2:51Speaker 6: a Halloween poet, but there it is mostly the job
- 2:55Speaker 6: of performing poetry as to for it relates to Halloween.
- 2:59Speaker 8: Basically, time you ever seen like a poem, a Halloween poem,
- 3:03Speaker 8: there's been a long network of people, an intense network
- 3:06Speaker 8: and a strong community of people really making sure these
- 3:09Speaker 8: poems are at top tier quality.
- 3:11Speaker 4: Yeah, yes, that's wow. You guys really captured it over there,
- 3:14Speaker 4: and I just want to three you guys props for that.
- 3:16Speaker 4: I'm so excited.
- 3:17Speaker 3: I can already tell that this is such a much
- 3:19Speaker 3: more diverse list than last year.
- 3:22Speaker 4: It's so exciting just based on the voices.
- 3:24Speaker 5: It's a sound of voices.
- 3:25Speaker 4: It feels like we really figured it out. Well.
- 3:29Speaker 3: It's funny because last year, last year it was it
- 3:32Speaker 3: was you know, you saw all these people, and there's
- 3:34Speaker 3: some amazing people on that list. But it's the type
- 3:36Speaker 3: of voice that you would hear when you walked into
- 3:38Speaker 3: a traditional haunted house and it was scary Vincent Price. Yeah,
- 3:43Speaker 3: very very the past you know. And now fear is
- 3:47Speaker 3: I can't, you know, fill up my gas tank. Fear
- 3:51Speaker 3: is my roommate has sold all my bitcoin on the
- 3:54Speaker 3: Google marketplace.
- 3:56Speaker 4: You know.
- 3:56Speaker 5: It's there's so many things.
- 4:00Speaker 1: There's a lot of every social media platform.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Man, I wish I could see the mixer. I can't
- 4:14Speaker 3: wait to talk to you because I haven't read on
- 4:16Speaker 3: your poet I've only I know, I've read a lot
- 4:18Speaker 3: of your stuff, but like I've only met only one
- 4:20Speaker 3: of you, really, but I can't wait to find out
- 4:22Speaker 3: which good way to what you know and then one
- 4:26Speaker 3: of you and we'll.
- 4:27Speaker 5: Talk about we'll talk about it once Revere.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Round the circle, Round the circle that goes, circle circle,
- 4:34Speaker 2: it goes, it goes, it goes, the rounded go.
- 4:36Speaker 8: No, that's sort of like a she allan she Poe.
- 4:41Speaker 7: Exactly what she alan?
- 4:48Speaker 9: She Edgar is my older sister.
- 4:53Speaker 1: What is your line? And which so excited to be
- 4:59Speaker 1: we stitch.
- 5:05Speaker 5: T witch or no teacher is my last name?
- 5:09Speaker 3: Yes?
- 5:10Speaker 4: Which is the first? Witch? Titch witch titch totally beautiful?
- 5:16Speaker 7: Yes?
- 5:17Speaker 2: And I it's Halloween poetries in our family, you know, uh,
- 5:22Speaker 2: And it's kind of like, you know, I just recently
- 5:24Speaker 2: saw the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader doc on Netflix.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Interesting and you see how you're Oh, he's ready to
- 5:29Speaker 1: get down.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Yes, yes, Dallas Cowboy Cheers Dallas a phenomenon. Well, when
- 5:40Speaker 2: an older sister does something in the family and it's
- 5:42Speaker 2: very highly remarked and it's like beautiful, sometimes the younger
- 5:46Speaker 2: sister or the younger sibling wants to do that as well.
- 5:48Speaker 2: And she and she carried down the torch. She carried
- 5:50Speaker 2: down the porch since since I was a wee babe,
- 5:54Speaker 2: her and I were doing early limericks, early early haikoups
- 5:58Speaker 2: and things like that.
- 5:59Speaker 1: So, yes, my real name is Samantha Bowl.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Oh you changed it.
- 6:04Speaker 2: No, No, that's just my real name. But which teach
- 6:07Speaker 2: is my Halloween pen name?
- 6:08Speaker 3: Yes, I'm so curious because she had she but we
- 6:13Speaker 3: all know her, we all love her, you know, and
- 6:15Speaker 3: we're so her success. She's she's obviously helming the new
- 6:20Speaker 3: Halloween Barbie movie, which is so excited.
- 6:23Speaker 1: And I'm so proud of my sister.
- 6:24Speaker 5: Yes, hallo Arbenheimer, Halheimer.
- 6:27Speaker 4: You're just doing it. They're combining them into one movie.
- 6:31Speaker 4: What I hated about Bob Heber was two movies.
- 6:33Speaker 3: Well, it's it's it's a it's a Halloween thing because
- 6:35Speaker 3: they go to Frankenstein's castle and they get in a
- 6:37Speaker 3: machine where they switch bodies Barbie.
- 6:40Speaker 4: And Barbie has to build the new Kim.
- 6:45Speaker 3: And that is a pretty good idea.
- 6:49Speaker 1: And that's a pretty good idea.
- 6:51Speaker 6: And I don't mean if it's a sore spot that
- 6:54Speaker 6: your sister got the job over you. I I don't.
- 6:57Speaker 5: Mean to poke and proud, but it is a really
- 7:00Speaker 5: good No.
- 7:02Speaker 1: She's much older than me, much more successful, and that's.
- 7:04Speaker 4: What I wanted to bring up. You sound way older
- 7:07Speaker 4: than her.
- 7:08Speaker 1: So I have an old soul and an old mouth.
- 7:15Speaker 5: About this tripping with cobwebes.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I went to the doctor and he's like, your skin great,
- 7:21Speaker 2: perfect proportion.
- 7:22Speaker 1: No doctor said that.
- 7:23Speaker 2: So doctor said perfect blood sugar levels of blood sugar
- 7:31Speaker 2: from ages. And then he went, that's the oldest mouth
- 7:33Speaker 2: I've ever seen. The way it sounds, the way it moves,
- 7:36Speaker 2: the way it choose it's out.
- 7:37Speaker 4: It's old.
- 7:39Speaker 1: So that's But anyway.
- 7:40Speaker 2: I can't believe I did something exactly like my sister,
- 7:43Speaker 2: completely on accident.
- 7:45Speaker 7: Completely it was uncanny.
- 7:47Speaker 5: I thought she was in the room with us.
- 7:49Speaker 2: I can't believe an impulse she had this year, this
- 7:53Speaker 2: time had I.
- 7:55Speaker 4: Will say it was, like she said in the last episode.
- 8:00Speaker 5: Rounded a Halloween poet, round and round.
- 8:03Speaker 4: Well let's go.
- 8:06Speaker 3: Around.
- 8:07Speaker 4: Well, hi everybody, I love every single one of you.
- 8:11Speaker 4: My name is Rupy scar. I am. I am. I
- 8:18Speaker 4: guess I'm a little bit more of an emotional Halloween poet.
- 8:24Speaker 4: My Halloween poems kind of come from ideas and moments
- 8:29Speaker 4: in life that I capture and I just have to
- 8:32Speaker 4: write down and and I usually do a little Halloween
- 8:35Speaker 4: doodle at the bottom. Yeah, So thank you so much
- 8:39Speaker 4: for having me. I'm just so excited to be surrounded
- 8:43Speaker 4: by such fascinating individuals creatures if you will, And what
- 8:48Speaker 4: is a human but if not a creature on legs
- 8:51Speaker 4: that has Instagram.
- 8:54Speaker 6: Now you're a genre of Halloween poets that we call
- 8:57Speaker 6: snap Halloween poets. And got a lot of girls sort
- 9:01Speaker 6: of snapping for your work. And your work was inescapable
- 9:04Speaker 6: on Tumblr.
- 9:06Speaker 4: Yes, yes, yes, I was literally all over Toombler Toombler.
- 9:18Speaker 4: It was kind of how I made my bread and
- 9:21Speaker 4: butter and pumpkin seeds for a long time at the
- 9:25Speaker 4: beginning of my career. And it's so nice to finally
- 9:29Speaker 4: Doombler and I just got it.
- 9:32Speaker 6: And just gotten your practically owned the thing. And Ruby,
- 9:37Speaker 6: I must ask, is that a ribbon tied around your neck?
- 9:40Speaker 4: It's a big ribbon tied around my neck. And guys,
- 9:44Speaker 4: I'm telling you, I cannot untie it's a beautiful Thank
- 9:50Speaker 4: you so much, and please don't untie it. Wow, wow,
- 9:56Speaker 4: why would not? We just don't need to talk about it.
- 9:58Speaker 4: Just let's not untie my been.
- 10:00Speaker 2: I loved your spread with Society six.
- 10:03Speaker 4: Mm hmm. I did a bunch of blankets and covers
- 10:06Speaker 4: with Society.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Six and it was all these like boo breathing in
- 10:09Speaker 2: and out or something like that.
- 10:11Speaker 4: So that was yeah, I said boo breathe in and
- 10:13Speaker 4: out with just a little different from my regular poems.
- 10:17Speaker 1: But commercial pet that's in the commercial space.
- 10:21Speaker 4: You know you have to cross over sometimes, Well, yeah
- 10:23Speaker 4: I do. I do.
- 10:24Speaker 3: Try to listen to your your you did a voice
- 10:27Speaker 3: on the on the headspace app.
- 10:28Speaker 4: There's a whole new section called dead space.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Yeah, and and and I listened to your how I
- 10:33Speaker 3: go to sleep sometimes and it's really nice all the
- 10:35Speaker 3: ambient noises.
- 10:36Speaker 4: Thank you so much. I'm dead cat Marina. Yeah, it's
- 10:39Speaker 4: a dead cat marina like that. It's a place where
- 10:42Speaker 4: no boats can come from or go. It's a great
- 10:46Speaker 4: little thing. So download dead Space now using rutpy scar
- 10:51Speaker 4: five to five and you'll get a huge discount. And
- 10:53Speaker 4: I'll see you there. I've listened, and I've had a
- 10:55Speaker 4: nightmare every time.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Perfect when you listen to it, does it go the
- 11:00Speaker 3: other way because of where you're from? Like toilets like water,
- 11:04Speaker 3: Australia and Australia, the water goes the other way?
- 11:06Speaker 4: Are you from Australia?
- 11:08Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 11:09Speaker 4: Wow, I am. I'm Australian. Yeah, so you're just so
- 11:12Speaker 4: much closer to Hell. I'm just like a little bit
- 11:16Speaker 4: down away. I don't want to get in that argument.
- 11:18Speaker 3: I don't want to talk about I am a lot
- 11:20Speaker 3: on the forums of the Halleen Poets, and for some reason,
- 11:23Speaker 3: maybe it's you. Everyone's talking about where Australia is located
- 11:28Speaker 3: in terms of Hell.
- 11:29Speaker 4: It's so south on the world Hell down, it's closer.
- 11:34Speaker 4: Australia is down.
- 11:35Speaker 5: But you're right.
- 11:36Speaker 1: If you don't want to be a part of a conversation,
- 11:37Speaker 1: you can say no.
- 11:39Speaker 4: So you all agree that Australia closer to Hell.
- 11:42Speaker 10: It's down I believe in science, Like, if that's what
- 11:48Speaker 10: you're asking, But so you so you're you're deeming to
- 11:51Speaker 10: say that Earth it's down on Earth.
- 11:54Speaker 4: I don't want to get into this.
- 11:55Speaker 3: I feel like this is just a poke to try
- 11:56Speaker 3: to get a clip for social media, a big argument
- 12:00Speaker 3: topic everyone's arguing about.
- 12:02Speaker 6: Gotcha show, gotcha question.
- 12:05Speaker 4: Hell is not by Australia, It's not. No, it's not
- 12:07Speaker 4: that clos Hell is down.
- 12:10Speaker 6: All I know is I was raised by a specific
- 12:12Speaker 6: set of principles that said down is down.
- 12:15Speaker 5: A plus put a. If a E course B and
- 12:17Speaker 5: B equals he, then A equals he. No, Hell is in.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Hell is in the earth. When we're pointing down, re'reporinting
- 12:23Speaker 3: into the earth, not up to the heaven. Well, you're
- 12:25Speaker 3: saying heaven is close to Let's do a test. Let's
- 12:28Speaker 3: do a test. Which direction is Australia from here?
- 12:31Speaker 4: Three? Two, one? Yeah, but I'm pointing into the earth.
- 12:35Speaker 1: I could point south, so you mean under.
- 12:39Speaker 4: Yeah, Hell is under. So Australia sort of down under
- 12:46Speaker 4: both of those words.
- 12:50Speaker 1: I'm starstruck to be honest.
- 12:52Speaker 8: And thank you so much. I'm really happy to be here.
- 12:54Speaker 8: I know I'm a little bit. It's a controversial ad
- 12:56Speaker 8: to have me on there. I'm a Michelin star Halloween rapper,
- 13:00Speaker 8: and what Michelin start Halloween rapper? And I know that
- 13:08Speaker 8: a lot of people were on the forum saying, like,
- 13:10Speaker 8: you can't have a rapper on it, but but I
- 13:11Speaker 8: believe I have sort of a poetic approach to rap.
- 13:14Speaker 4: Absolutely, poetry is sort of the Kendrick of Halloween raps.
- 13:19Speaker 3: And uh and so I know Rupy because you Ruby
- 13:21Speaker 3: Scotty did a series of poems in sort of the
- 13:24Speaker 3: interludes in between each of my.
- 13:26Speaker 4: Last album, and that's how we met at the salon.
- 13:30Speaker 4: I was the one we met at the salon.
- 13:32Speaker 5: I was wondering. I was wondering because you're.
- 13:35Speaker 8: All my influences, really, and just because i'm, you know,
- 13:38Speaker 8: messing with the cadence a little bit, it doesn't mean
- 13:40Speaker 8: that I'm not peer about my my love for ghouls
- 13:43Speaker 8: and my love for for midnights and full moons.
- 13:47Speaker 7: You know.
- 13:47Speaker 3: But yes, I've gone platinum a few times, but but.
- 13:50Speaker 4: I'm one of you guys. You're the real artist.
- 13:53Speaker 2: I'm just some no the Grammys and I said, thank god,
- 13:57Speaker 2: we have a Halloween.
- 13:58Speaker 4: Poet up there. And I'm so sorry about the beef
- 14:01Speaker 4: that you just went through. But it looks like you won.
- 14:03Speaker 4: It looks like you won with Kendrick Lamar. With Kendrick Lamar,
- 14:08Speaker 4: you jumped in on the Drake Kendrick thig with your
- 14:10Speaker 4: own specific thing about Kendrick Lamar. I got absolutely destroyed it.
- 14:15Speaker 6: It was spooky, though, but I want spooky, and we
- 14:18Speaker 6: fund spooky as a win over here.
- 14:20Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 14:21Speaker 3: I think what was hard is people didn't know it
- 14:23Speaker 3: was directly related until you made a lot of fuss
- 14:26Speaker 3: about it, because it was the I think the fifty
- 14:28Speaker 3: fourth track on a seventy track Haunted House sound Effects CD.
- 14:32Speaker 7: Yeah, sorry to find.
- 14:33Speaker 4: That went triple platinum. But I heard it went triple
- 14:36Speaker 4: platinum just because so many haunted houses love the first
- 14:39Speaker 4: forty nine songs that on that.
- 14:40Speaker 6: Yeah, yes, and short films need that for sound effects,
- 14:44Speaker 6: so they're downloading that sound like crazy. But money is
- 14:49Speaker 6: money and artist art, and that's one of the tenets
- 14:52Speaker 6: of Halloween poetry.
- 14:52Speaker 8: And I could quickly plug myself really quick. I just
- 14:55Speaker 8: did release the next album. It's spooky Halloween Tracks for
- 14:57Speaker 8: Haunted Houses, but exactly the same but different.
- 15:02Speaker 1: I went on dead and spooky line deadline, bunch of.
- 15:10Speaker 5: Dead Dead severed severed headline.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Headline, devid head severed headline that you sold one of
- 15:17Speaker 2: your albums to Halloween whore Nights, And I want to know, like,
- 15:21Speaker 2: how were you in litigation?
- 15:22Speaker 1: Were your management team did you? Did you fight hard
- 15:25Speaker 1: for that?
- 15:25Speaker 4: Like?
- 15:25Speaker 1: How much of the cut are you.
- 15:26Speaker 4: Going to get into the Halloween la.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Because your songs are everywhere over there.
- 15:30Speaker 8: Everywhere, It's constantly all over and I get a pretty
- 15:32Speaker 8: good stick. I get all the merch from Halloween hohn nits.
- 15:35Speaker 5: So you get all the merch from Halloween, get.
- 15:39Speaker 4: The merch they don't get, you don't get you don't
- 15:42Speaker 4: get money from and they pay you in merch. But
- 15:47Speaker 4: they produced the same amount of merch as if it
- 15:50Speaker 4: was being sold on all to me.
- 15:56Speaker 6: How what do your taxes look like from that? Do
- 15:58Speaker 6: you have to claim it as a gift? Thousands of thousand?
- 16:03Speaker 4: Actually talked to my lay about that.
- 16:05Speaker 8: So if anybody needs about five thousand shirts with a
- 16:08Speaker 8: ghost on it or.
- 16:09Speaker 3: That is an Irso we should actually talk in depth
- 16:13Speaker 3: about our taxes here just.
- 16:16Speaker 4: A second that let's jump into I R S tax
- 16:19Speaker 4: How we file our taxes as halleen pullets just a little.
- 16:23Speaker 4: Because we are what we do is closest to casino winnings.
- 16:29Speaker 4: Legally speaking, we cannot be audited.
- 16:32Speaker 6: Ye year, madam, madam, Well we'll keep going around.
- 16:38Speaker 5: My name is Skeleton.
- 16:40Speaker 4: Ball movie but came on strong.
- 16:46Speaker 6: Yes, yes, a movie, but came on strong and fast.
- 16:50Speaker 5: You know, and you know my story.
- 16:52Speaker 6: I took a bru sort of a roundabout way into
- 16:55Speaker 6: the industry because I started as a sort of Bavarian.
- 17:00Speaker 5: Entity, and then.
- 17:03Speaker 6: Tim Burton found me and I served as his muse
- 17:08Speaker 6: for many years. I helped him with my spooky visit
- 17:13Speaker 6: and scary appearance.
- 17:14Speaker 5: I inspired him to make the movies. Ed Wedge says,
- 17:17Speaker 5: I had.
- 17:18Speaker 4: I don't know if you need to explain this. People
- 17:20Speaker 4: just get it.
- 17:21Speaker 5: Do you think they get it?
- 17:23Speaker 4: Maybe not?
- 17:23Speaker 5: Keep you think they need more discography. And of course
- 17:27Speaker 5: thou Willy Wonker tim Burton.
- 17:31Speaker 4: Edition, Oh there's a window. He said that the wind
- 17:34Speaker 4: came through.
- 17:35Speaker 6: Well, yes, I try not to invoke Relly woncome because.
- 17:42Speaker 5: Because it summoned the.
- 17:44Speaker 4: Winds, I literally felt a chill.
- 17:45Speaker 6: As you said, welcome, stun down, stun down, stunt down.
- 17:54Speaker 4: There's one hundred and fifty crew members that just got
- 17:57Speaker 4: on edge.
- 17:57Speaker 5: Yes, yes, they got so scared.
- 18:00Speaker 6: I can deal with the crew is about to jump
- 18:02Speaker 6: because they get their tails all puff up. But okay,
- 18:06Speaker 6: my name is Skeleton Brable Bones. I lived a Timbert's
- 18:09Speaker 6: apartment in Burbank for a long time and then I
- 18:11Speaker 6: one day he went off with his wife Helen, a
- 18:15Speaker 6: bottom carter for an extended vacation.
- 18:18Speaker 5: Not anymore, not anymore.
- 18:21Speaker 4: Him, he.
- 18:33Speaker 5: Vacation. They went on vacation to the Bahamas.
- 18:38Speaker 6: They left for sixteen weeks, and they forgot about me
- 18:42Speaker 6: in the apartment. And so there I was just wandering
- 18:45Speaker 6: back and forth in the apartment looking for enrichment, going
- 18:49Speaker 6: batting away windowsills and paper towels, just trying to do
- 18:53Speaker 6: anything to entertain myself. And then one Hallows Eve, I
- 18:56Speaker 6: saw triggle treaters walking past.
- 18:59Speaker 5: And one was dressed a scary, scary goblin, and that
- 19:03Speaker 5: made me think goblin, goblin high and mighty, Oh, my god,
- 19:08Speaker 5: I got a Friday, and that's when I wrote my
- 19:13Speaker 5: poem that went triple platinum in poetry.
- 19:17Speaker 6: In the poetry shots on I Ain't again please Goblin Goblin.
- 19:24Speaker 5: High and mighty Oh, my god, I've got a FRITI.
- 19:30Speaker 1: My David is the religious aspects of the poem?
- 19:33Speaker 4: Yes, yes, many of my works religious Catholic undertones. Yes,
- 19:37Speaker 4: the Bavarian, Yes, that is.
- 19:39Speaker 5: The Bavarian in me.
- 19:40Speaker 6: So I I you know, I And then I put
- 19:42Speaker 6: myself out there. I went, I went really fast, and
- 19:45Speaker 6: I called.
- 19:45Speaker 4: Up to him.
- 19:45Speaker 6: I said, listen, I'm gonna go berserk in your apartment
- 19:48Speaker 6: if you don't help me. And so he set me
- 19:50Speaker 6: up with some Halloween poets he knew from the movies
- 19:53Speaker 6: and from general the industry and networking and whatnot. And
- 19:56Speaker 6: then now here I am, and I'm honored, and it's
- 19:58Speaker 6: been a crazy it's been just such a wonderful ride.
- 20:02Speaker 3: And I want to shout out to I think the
- 20:05Speaker 3: thing that really puts you on the map, that that
- 20:07Speaker 3: took everybody by storm, was your misfortune cookies.
- 20:10Speaker 4: You can sell it in skelet misfortune cookie.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Because I've never been scared by a cookie.
- 20:17Speaker 6: I gotta deal with a Panda express, a brand deal
- 20:21Speaker 6: where I've got my misfortune cookies, and so imagined.
- 20:26Speaker 5: If you could picture a typical.
- 20:29Speaker 4: Fortune cookie, I think we can picture. I think the
- 20:33Speaker 4: name alone, I want to hear it and.
- 20:36Speaker 11: It says things like next week your hard work will
- 20:41Speaker 11: pay off, But mine say things like next week your
- 20:46Speaker 11: hard work will be for not.
- 20:48Speaker 5: Because you'll be off and things like that.
- 20:52Speaker 1: What a what a way to ruin a lunch light away?
- 20:56Speaker 6: Yes, yes, so I've been in some commercials for and
- 21:00Speaker 6: to Express with Lebron James.
- 21:01Speaker 5: We don't need to get into it, but I have
- 21:03Speaker 5: things of going very well.
- 21:04Speaker 4: What a crazy commercial.
- 21:08Speaker 6: Because you got to explain quite a few things to
- 21:11Speaker 6: the viewer, skelt and.
- 21:14Speaker 4: Bones eating orange chicken.
- 21:15Speaker 12: I tell you, the people who wrote that commercial, it
- 21:18Speaker 12: was like a masterful feat of achievement because they had
- 21:21Speaker 12: to tie in basketball, Express, cookies and Halloween, and they
- 21:28Speaker 12: also through.
- 21:28Speaker 4: Like Peppa Pig in there, right. I love a good
- 21:35Speaker 4: boo you got.
- 21:36Speaker 5: Me, boom, you got me?
- 21:38Speaker 6: Yeah, catchy, oh man, that's just special.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Now let's get to Texas.
- 21:44Speaker 3: Well wait, well, I said, you know what, I don't
- 21:48Speaker 3: want to introduce myself to twenty five minutes.
- 21:50Speaker 1: I'm so sorry.
- 21:52Speaker 3: No, it's in time, it's important. I just won't I
- 21:54Speaker 3: won't take up too much time. My name is Bloody
- 21:56Speaker 3: Guthrie and I uh from.
- 22:01Speaker 4: The rural areas of Texas.
- 22:03Speaker 3: I'm a quiet little man. I lived my life and
- 22:06Speaker 3: I started writing about folklore and creepy things, you know, uh, creatures,
- 22:10Speaker 3: two picabres, stuff like that, and UH found my way in.
- 22:15Speaker 4: Kind of the bespoke way, you know.
- 22:17Speaker 3: I wrote little poems on scrolls and crows or my
- 22:19Speaker 3: friends send them around, and it's just really fun to
- 22:21Speaker 3: be here around, you know. I just sit alone in
- 22:23Speaker 3: my little cabin in my rocking chair right nowadays.
- 22:25Speaker 6: I love your your crows. You you sent me a
- 22:28Speaker 6: Christmas crow with a little picture of you and your
- 22:32Speaker 6: family tattooed onto the back of it.
- 22:34Speaker 5: Yeah, it was so cute.
- 22:35Speaker 3: And then I teach the girls how to tell you
- 22:37Speaker 3: the letter, so I don't have to write the letter.
- 22:39Speaker 3: So you just kind of look at the picture and
- 22:40Speaker 3: then you hear the crow go like.
- 22:42Speaker 9: Bloody gods and his family having a wonderful year.
- 22:47Speaker 5: Gunner is very good at sucker. Alisa has been in
- 22:51Speaker 5: the school play. She played the lead in the pagaina Game.
- 22:57Speaker 2: You can't blame a crow for forgetting its lines.
- 23:01Speaker 5: That is very impressive.
- 23:03Speaker 4: Jama game is a tough translation.
- 23:07Speaker 5: Row to pronounce the j God, you'all gotta come over me.
- 23:13Speaker 3: Teaching one crow to say the pajama game took me
- 23:15Speaker 3: three and a half weeks.
- 23:17Speaker 8: But you made a lot of passive income off of this, right,
- 23:19Speaker 8: You've been selling this this I don't want to say technology,
- 23:21Speaker 8: but this service to teaching crows.
- 23:23Speaker 3: Yes, it's it's a curriculum. It's a masterclass too, so
- 23:25Speaker 3: you can you can learn it.
- 23:27Speaker 4: I loved your masterclass on how to teach a crow
- 23:29Speaker 4: to speak. I thought it's so magnanimous. It was you
- 23:33Speaker 4: were so angry, but you know that's just my I
- 23:36Speaker 4: was really mad. I said, what do you not understand?
- 23:40Speaker 5: Tough love?
- 23:41Speaker 3: I have been talking for six hours about this, and
- 23:45Speaker 3: to be fair, I only watched the intro and then
- 23:46Speaker 3: I read through all the chapters and it was like,
- 23:48Speaker 3: why do I need to keep telling you this.
- 23:50Speaker 4: I'm going to tell you one last time.
- 23:53Speaker 3: I'm glad you didn't watch it too, because if you
- 23:54Speaker 3: watch it, most of them go. Didn't you read the
- 23:57Speaker 3: name of the chapter. I don't have much more to say.
- 24:00Speaker 3: If you got it, you got it.
- 24:03Speaker 4: It's on.
- 24:05Speaker 5: Talking. I got it, Yeah, got it, you got it.
- 24:11Speaker 5: I love your quirky Halloween palms. I don't think they rather.
- 24:15Speaker 6: Be been calling you the Mumfu and Sons of Halloween poetry.
- 24:20Speaker 4: You're a little almost disrespectful.
- 24:23Speaker 3: It's okay, though, you know, because I'm HARKing you back
- 24:25Speaker 3: to an old era where cowboys used to tell stories
- 24:28Speaker 3: to each other, you know, and I'm trying to write that.
- 24:30Speaker 3: I'm trying to take you back to the sixties. A
- 24:31Speaker 3: lot of ghost stories told around the campfire. I love
- 24:36Speaker 3: that tradition, that cozy little tradition where you get around
- 24:40Speaker 3: and you tell people stories. It's it's so exciting.
- 24:43Speaker 4: And that's what I'm trying to continue. You know, how
- 24:46Speaker 4: how did the rain begin? Well, it's because big old
- 24:49Speaker 4: witch got poked by rose bush. You know, fantastic. There's
- 24:55Speaker 4: the Merle Haggard song about that. Oh yeah, a big
- 24:58Speaker 4: old witch got poked bar.
- 25:01Speaker 1: It's crazy.
- 25:02Speaker 2: I love that part because it's the witches crying because
- 25:05Speaker 2: it hurt exactly the rose bush. Yes, no, it's not
- 25:08Speaker 2: the butt, it's it's it's the tears of tears exactly.
- 25:11Speaker 3: I mean, that's how Halloween Poacher used to be. White
- 25:14Speaker 3: people explain stuff ancient civilizations. You know, there's there's ruins
- 25:19Speaker 3: and you know, to knock tilon and and and and
- 25:22Speaker 3: Macha picchu and all over the world of old Halloween poems.
- 25:26Speaker 3: You know, a man holding a pumpkin up to the sun.
- 25:29Speaker 3: You know that's that's in old hieroglyphs.
- 25:32Speaker 4: I mean, one of my favorite is one of the
- 25:34Speaker 4: oldest Greek tablets, is just a man complaining about Halloween.
- 25:41Speaker 5: And he's complaining about the sort of trials.
- 25:44Speaker 6: And it's crazy how it transcends the English language.
- 25:49Speaker 5: Well, oh, in the Garland, it.
- 25:52Speaker 6: Takes so hot, it's so high to put on.
- 25:55Speaker 3: She's complaining about how his costume, his Ship of Theseus costume,
- 25:59Speaker 3: is too hot.
- 26:02Speaker 4: It's just too hot. And he was actually philosophically trying
- 26:06Speaker 4: to understand if if he started taking the costume apart
- 26:08Speaker 4: and replacing it with cold, would it still be the
- 26:12Speaker 4: same the costume. It was a beautiful I understand that
- 26:22Speaker 4: the Ship of Theseus costume philosophical question. THESS at that
- 26:26Speaker 4: time was just a boat. It was it was it
- 26:30Speaker 4: was a topical. It was kind of like if you
- 26:31Speaker 4: addresses the ocean gate.
- 26:36Speaker 5: Time.
- 26:36Speaker 6: It was just a ship that people went on. It
- 26:39Speaker 6: didn't like dress. There's the same as the Titanic. There's
- 26:42Speaker 6: a ship that people went that.
- 26:45Speaker 7: I can't well.
- 26:47Speaker 6: There was, of course also the Greek myth of Sisyphus
- 26:50Speaker 6: in that tablet where the man has to push.
- 26:53Speaker 5: A pumpkin all the way up the hill.
- 26:55Speaker 4: To the patch, and that was a huge couple's costume.
- 26:57Speaker 4: By the way, huge couples got.
- 27:03Speaker 7: The pumpkin.
- 27:04Speaker 5: I hated it, I absolutely it didn't feel good.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Yes, but I really loved it when the husband was
- 27:10Speaker 1: no pumpkin.
- 27:11Speaker 5: Yes, that was funny. That a subversion.
- 27:13Speaker 4: That's funny, very funny. Give it up for the ancient
- 27:16Speaker 4: Greeks and Halloween, right, they.
- 27:18Speaker 10: Are just nowhere without them.
- 27:23Speaker 4: So I was actually wondering. For me, I find my
- 27:30Speaker 4: kind of inspiration in moments and tangents and little funny thoughts.
- 27:34Speaker 4: I get it usually coffee shops. What about you, guys,
- 27:38Speaker 4: And maybe what we can do is you tell us
- 27:40Speaker 4: your poem and then you give us a little bit
- 27:42Speaker 4: of an expert of maybe where it came from. Would
- 27:44Speaker 4: that be nice? Because you guys all have such wonderful
- 27:47Speaker 4: poems and I'm kind of itching for the viewers to
- 27:49Speaker 4: hear them. Does that feel?
- 27:51Speaker 2: And I will say, it's crazy, what variety picks is
- 27:53Speaker 2: our main poem? When they showcase.
- 27:55Speaker 4: Could you show us yours?
- 27:56Speaker 6: Could you just give us your I mean, well, we
- 27:58Speaker 6: all brought up poetry too, so that's very exciting.
- 28:02Speaker 1: And did you live in there? In here for the
- 28:06Speaker 1: audio listener, it's a it's got it in a trigger treat.
- 28:09Speaker 4: Sir Frederick Vincent.
- 28:10Speaker 5: Bones don't remind me relationship is it?
- 28:26Speaker 1: Because that's a bucket?
- 28:33Speaker 4: What are we reminding you?
- 28:35Speaker 5: Reminding me of the time I dated a bucket? I
- 28:37Speaker 5: don't know what. I don't know what. We're confused about you.
- 28:42Speaker 5: It's a joke to me, it's a fact, and it hurts.
- 28:45Speaker 4: It was a creative era for you though, when you
- 28:47Speaker 4: were dating that bucket, right.
- 28:49Speaker 6: Yes, some of my best work came about when I
- 28:52Speaker 6: was dating that bucket. And I guess that is my
- 28:54Speaker 6: answer to your question. Where do I get my inspiration
- 28:58Speaker 6: from it?
- 28:58Speaker 5: It's fucking it's.
- 29:02Speaker 4: Excuse you.
- 29:03Speaker 2: I think I've heard a lot of interviews about you
- 29:06Speaker 2: because you are out there.
- 29:07Speaker 1: You are no I think I have and you're out.
- 29:09Speaker 2: There, and I will say you being horny is nothing.
- 29:12Speaker 2: I've never known that about you.
- 29:14Speaker 6: Yes, it's well, it's it's it's different when your bones,
- 29:17Speaker 6: your your your your horniness is sort of it flies
- 29:21Speaker 6: under the table.
- 29:21Speaker 5: It's a little.
- 29:24Speaker 6: Less overt and and we have certain you know, code
- 29:28Speaker 6: that we use to to signify that we're horny to
- 29:31Speaker 6: other bones, and it maybe flies through the sensors like
- 29:35Speaker 6: we say i'm i'm I'm feeling chattery or uh uh
- 29:39Speaker 6: uh bang bang clang clang, you know the sound that
- 29:42Speaker 6: bones make. But nonetheless, I will move on to my poem.
- 29:47Speaker 6: This is a poem that I wrote when I was
- 29:50Speaker 6: dating a big, big skeleton, just like you, just like me.
- 29:59Speaker 6: I'm a nine toss skeleton, and I was dating another person,
- 30:02Speaker 6: another skeleton just like me.
- 30:05Speaker 4: Okay, hold on.
- 30:08Speaker 11: Hold on, hold on, good I've got my eye on you. Foggy, foggy,
- 30:17Speaker 11: ninety nighty good Lord.
- 30:21Speaker 5: Jesus, that's a Friday.
- 30:24Speaker 4: Oh wow. And that is such a powerful exactly the
- 30:33Speaker 4: same about your poems. What I love about your poems
- 30:37Speaker 4: is you're always working your way to rhyme. One word
- 30:39Speaker 4: with Friday, which is not a word as a noun,
- 30:52Speaker 4: is the noun.
- 30:56Speaker 5: That's so interesting. I never noticed that about myself.
- 30:58Speaker 8: You know.
- 30:59Speaker 6: It's when you get in the room with other artists
- 31:01Speaker 6: and they tell you things about yourself.
- 31:02Speaker 4: You never go. I think it's like Shakespeare. He was
- 31:05Speaker 4: constantly making up his own words too, and they were
- 31:08Speaker 4: so obviously there that people understood them intrinsically.
- 31:12Speaker 5: And here's Halloween folioh my.
- 31:13Speaker 4: God, people don't talk about it, the Halloween sonnets of
- 31:18Speaker 4: some of my favorites four through sixty nine.
- 31:22Speaker 2: I don't know why people love love and not Halloween.
- 31:25Speaker 2: I mean, I write as so much about Halloween and
- 31:28Speaker 2: I don't well.
- 31:29Speaker 8: And I alnosly take big inspiration from Romeo and Bouliette,
- 31:33Speaker 8: where they don't fall in love.
- 31:34Speaker 4: With each other, they fallen in Halloween with each other.
- 31:40Speaker 6: Yes, when you fall in love and when you fall
- 31:43Speaker 6: in Halloween?
- 31:43Speaker 4: What's someone?
- 31:44Speaker 5: What does that mean?
- 31:45Speaker 4: Wow? What is it? What is it to fall in Halloween?
- 31:48Speaker 8: I mean just to fall in Halloween with someone is
- 31:51Speaker 8: to see the sunset?
- 31:53Speaker 1: God's kind of a Halloween. Fuck boy.
- 31:55Speaker 3: I've I've gone around the I've kind of dated my
- 31:58Speaker 3: way around the Halloween circuit.
- 31:59Speaker 4: A little bit hurts Just fuck do cust words hurt you?
- 32:04Speaker 4: Hurts me?
- 32:04Speaker 1: Oh shoot, it's okay, common ship?
- 32:07Speaker 4: Oh well come is okay? How are you spelling it?
- 32:11Speaker 1: See you am okay?
- 32:15Speaker 5: Okay?
- 32:16Speaker 4: It heals me words that aren't customers healed me, and
- 32:19Speaker 4: words that are customers hurt me. So you're doing great,
- 32:24Speaker 4: very healthy.
- 32:24Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean you must be.
- 32:28Speaker 4: Almost not even something to bring up. It's just nice
- 32:33Speaker 4: for the listener to know where you're at health. Yeah,
- 32:37Speaker 4: everyone you're saying is healing you. But yes, you were
- 32:39Speaker 4: a boy.
- 32:40Speaker 1: In and out of Halloween love all the time.
- 32:42Speaker 4: And I like that you say that it's love because
- 32:44Speaker 4: people really think that they're these felings. But I love
- 32:46Speaker 4: these women, you know. I love Boo, I love Boo,
- 32:48Speaker 4: I love boy.
- 32:51Speaker 5: You dated my ex girlfriend.
- 32:56Speaker 4: Of course you dated.
- 33:00Speaker 13: Community, She wroteating cano, there's usually an explicit.
- 33:15Speaker 8: Clean she wrote levitating parentheses spooky.
- 33:22Speaker 4: I love that song. I think it changed the game.
- 33:24Speaker 4: It really changed. She really opened up for songs to
- 33:26Speaker 4: be parentheses spooky instead of you know, explicit radio edit
- 33:31Speaker 4: spooky version. It's one of my favorite edits.
- 33:33Speaker 3: I will say, I've heard the song that you wrote,
- 33:36Speaker 3: Mummy Bow number five with all the spooky women and
- 33:39Speaker 3: all the.
- 33:44Speaker 4: Number five.
- 33:44Speaker 3: All right, and then it's a new track, is this single?
- 33:47Speaker 3: It's gonna be on the next album every every time,
- 33:52Speaker 3: and I love.
- 33:53Speaker 14: It alright, Alright, So it's all, there's a trouble, a
- 34:02Speaker 14: little a little bit of boo all night long, A
- 34:05Speaker 14: little bit of.
- 34:06Speaker 15: Boully in the sun at the moon. Sorry, hold on, okay,
- 34:12Speaker 15: that's scary. Lab is gonna love this phone call.
- 34:20Speaker 8: I don't wait, it's got a lot of my best tracks.
- 34:26Speaker 16: I sort of revised frantically why I got the label
- 34:31Speaker 16: at three am.
- 34:32Speaker 4: It's not Sun, it's Moon. Trump, don't take it off?
- 34:37Speaker 4: Wait you wait, wait, turn it off. I just realized
- 34:48Speaker 4: the spookyer word.
- 34:50Speaker 7: It's not Sun, it's Moon.
- 34:52Speaker 5: The torture and spooky Bob, A.
- 34:57Speaker 4: Little bit of scaler all night long.
- 35:02Speaker 5: Like a lizard.
- 35:04Speaker 9: So different scalers, because that could be any sort of
- 35:10Speaker 9: scally bug or great.
- 35:13Speaker 1: I thought it was Taylor Swift scaler.
- 35:17Speaker 16: And if you'd believe it was, keep going, keep going, Sorry,
- 35:24Speaker 16: we keep on update. A little bit of Charlie uh,
- 35:30Speaker 16: referring to Charlie xxx. That's because nothing's spookier than three
- 35:36Speaker 16: x's in a row.
- 35:38Speaker 5: That's the shine letters and.
- 35:40Speaker 4: Then the instrumental kicks in, uh good beautiful song.
- 35:44Speaker 1: I mean, where did you take inspiration? Just from your roster?
- 35:47Speaker 4: From the song Bumble number.
- 35:49Speaker 5: Five plaid A lot of the groundwork for that song.
- 35:53Speaker 5: And and we wouldn't be anywhere if we didn't credit our.
- 35:56Speaker 4: References absolutely and boo vega, you kind of stucked on
- 36:02Speaker 4: his toes a little bit. Yeah, but you know, he's
- 36:04Speaker 4: kind of a bad guys. Bag puts bags of ship
- 36:09Speaker 4: on people's front door, lights on fire. He's that guy.
- 36:11Speaker 5: Okay, so he calls that Halloween.
- 36:14Speaker 4: No, it's normal because you really have a reaction to
- 36:18Speaker 4: it earlier. I'm from a small town, okay. Was that
- 36:21Speaker 4: scared of the word ship specifically where the word no ship,
- 36:25Speaker 4: ship and ship and come it.
- 36:27Speaker 1: Was come that he was?
- 36:29Speaker 6: Is it that when ship is referring to poop, it's
- 36:31Speaker 6: okay for you because it's a noun, But when ship
- 36:34Speaker 6: is used it's a prijority.
- 36:36Speaker 4: Garrett and my small town ships away alive. It's normal
- 36:40Speaker 4: for us.
- 36:40Speaker 1: Well, that's all it for me.
- 36:44Speaker 4: That covers it.
- 36:44Speaker 5: Well, I'd love to hear a couple more parts.
- 36:50Speaker 7: Well anything, you know me.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Old's all old mouth. All of my poems are about.
- 36:55Speaker 9: Can be.
- 36:58Speaker 4: Old thing to say.
- 36:59Speaker 5: And I don't notice your mouth creaks so loud like
- 37:02Speaker 5: a hingey door every time you over.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Yes, well, yes, and that's why I love candy so much.
- 37:08Speaker 2: I think it was the first time my sister saw
- 37:11Speaker 2: me put two milky ways on the side of my
- 37:14Speaker 2: jaws and I was like, I like it this way.
- 37:16Speaker 1: And she was like, is that a young Halloween poet?
- 37:20Speaker 1: And I was like, maybe, but there's not a lot
- 37:22Speaker 1: of Halloween poets in the candy space.
- 37:24Speaker 4: No, it's usually about the scare, it's not about the tree.
- 37:27Speaker 3: They're so brain eddad over there all the candy people.
- 37:30Speaker 3: I had a general with the Nestley people and they
- 37:33Speaker 3: literally wouldn't they.
- 37:35Speaker 4: Wouldn't let me turn my.
- 37:38Speaker 3: Cameras on on the zoom and I said, don't want
- 37:40Speaker 3: to chill see me and they said, we don't want
- 37:42Speaker 3: to see you.
- 37:42Speaker 4: Don't even know. We're doing this as a bet. Yeah,
- 37:44Speaker 4: we took. We lost to bets. Have to take a
- 37:46Speaker 4: meeting with you, to be honest. The scariest company in
- 37:49Speaker 4: the world, literally, yeah, they do. Why did I always wondered,
- 37:55Speaker 4: you know, why did they sell water too? And I
- 37:58Speaker 4: could talk about that actually for thirty minutes, and it's
- 38:01Speaker 4: very scary and it's genuinely terrifying. Honestly, look it up, honestly,
- 38:07Speaker 4: go and research why Nestley sells water terrifying. Okay, it's
- 38:16Speaker 4: a hundred grand?
- 38:18Speaker 7: Is it chocolate or money?
- 38:22Speaker 1: Knock knock at the door.
- 38:25Speaker 7: Mister snickers is here? Is he treating or tricking? I
- 38:31Speaker 7: would know?
- 38:33Speaker 4: Throw a skittle through the door?
- 38:35Speaker 5: Is it him?
- 38:37Speaker 6: No?
- 38:41Speaker 4: Can I say?
- 38:42Speaker 7: That's why I love I.
- 38:48Speaker 4: Love this because your poetry asks so many questions about candy.
- 38:53Speaker 4: Nobody's asking it and doesn't answer one of them. One
- 38:56Speaker 4: of them doesn't answer one question. That just poses so
- 39:04Speaker 4: many questions.
- 39:06Speaker 5: It's about diverging. It's about posing a question and the
- 39:09Speaker 5: actually it's a different question, and so we're constantly playing
- 39:12Speaker 5: pink party about what question was supposed to pay attention to.
- 39:15Speaker 4: This is why they put you in second for the variety.
- 39:18Speaker 4: I'm young because you're contributing to the laws. Really, nobody
- 39:22Speaker 4: ever thought, mister Snookers, I want to bet it.
- 39:26Speaker 8: I was like, oh my gosh, we've been know what,
- 39:28Speaker 8: We've been recycling the same game over and over again.
- 39:31Speaker 4: Franken start racking knocking on your door, only to be
- 39:37Speaker 4: detected by throwing a the door. And I was riveted
- 39:46Speaker 4: till the end.
- 39:47Speaker 5: Genuinely, I was thrilled.
- 39:49Speaker 1: To kittle references virginity.
- 39:51Speaker 4: Whoa, And you can take that to the bank.
- 39:54Speaker 1: You'll look it up.
- 39:56Speaker 4: You'll look at it, not looking up, I just in.
- 40:04Speaker 5: Just like, oh, I know you, you'll look it up.
- 40:09Speaker 4: Wow. That beautiful.
- 40:11Speaker 6: That was genuinely captivating in a way that you know.
- 40:14Speaker 6: I'm still new to this space, and that really shows
- 40:17Speaker 6: me how the real ones do it. Well.
- 40:20Speaker 2: I think it was you sent me a crow when
- 40:23Speaker 2: I first did a couple of publishings, and you said,
- 40:26Speaker 2: I'm no longer worried. Oh, the crow said that you
- 40:29Speaker 2: are no longer worried about the younger generations of Halloween
- 40:32Speaker 2: poets because I'm in the I'm in the younger space.
- 40:34Speaker 2: And and I think people are worried because this this poetry,
- 40:38Speaker 2: I mean, just poetry on on a Valentine's poets.
- 40:41Speaker 1: You can't find one.
- 40:42Speaker 3: Now.
- 40:44Speaker 1: It's so sad what happened to them.
- 40:45Speaker 6: Because streaming took over Valentine's poetry and they basically throttled it.
- 40:52Speaker 6: They buried it under Netflix's original Valentine Poems, but they scroll.
- 40:59Speaker 5: You had to Scurorell all the way down.
- 41:00Speaker 4: On the whole.
- 41:02Speaker 3: Well, yeah, now where are they two words on a
- 41:04Speaker 3: piece of candy that's the only poem in all the
- 41:07Speaker 3: year round incredible poets. They're writing sweetheart cutie, and they
- 41:12Speaker 3: say those are poems, and we know they're not poems.
- 41:15Speaker 4: They're pieces of candy with writing on them. And I
- 41:17Speaker 4: can say that word you really, when you own.
- 41:22Speaker 1: It, it's fine.
- 41:23Speaker 7: But when you when you receive it about.
- 41:26Speaker 4: Your poems, you want to jump in. I'm happy to
- 41:28Speaker 4: jump in.
- 41:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 41:29Speaker 4: And can I say your poems changed my life? Oh,
- 41:33Speaker 4: thank you so much? Yeah.
- 41:36Speaker 3: So this one's is it's it's a really special poem.
- 41:39Speaker 3: It's it's one of my most well known. It's called
- 41:44Speaker 3: it's called Cowboy in the Dark.
- 41:46Speaker 4: And yeah, so this is.
- 41:52Speaker 3: What's that rustle? What's that noise? Grab the horse? Wake
- 41:57Speaker 3: up the boystures dancing in the dark. Someday this will
- 42:04Speaker 3: be a national park.
- 42:08Speaker 6: Your famously anti national park service.
- 42:13Speaker 4: To me, I just wish we could have that land
- 42:15Speaker 4: to do what we want with it. Yes, who loans it?
- 42:18Speaker 17: Right?
- 42:19Speaker 4: Who loans it? And what's going on in there?
- 42:24Speaker 5: How is your how's your race to be the Libertarian party?
- 42:35Speaker 4: What's going on there? It's such an important question that
- 42:40Speaker 4: nobody's asking. And I think there's such that's not politically
- 42:44Speaker 4: as beauty. But it's such an emptiness avoid in your
- 42:48Speaker 4: poetry that I think is captures that rural America that
- 42:52Speaker 4: I love, and that's why it changed me. You were
- 42:55Speaker 4: asking questions that the modern man in a big city
- 42:59Speaker 4: doesn't have the perspective to ask about if you're not
- 43:04Speaker 4: from a small town. Thank you.
- 43:05Speaker 3: And fear is it's it's become homogenized. Fear is spiders,
- 43:09Speaker 3: fear is vampires, fear as witches, fears wolf man, right,
- 43:13Speaker 3: But for me, I know a different way alive. Fear
- 43:16Speaker 3: is a rustling, fear is a rattlesnake. Fear is dark
- 43:20Speaker 3: eyes in the woods. You know what dark eyes in
- 43:23Speaker 3: the woods y'all don't know about dark eyes in the woods.
- 43:27Speaker 3: You know, well, why did you be scared of bright eyes?
- 43:32Speaker 4: You can see him.
- 43:36Speaker 3: The dark exactly scary. That's the kind of thing we're
- 43:40Speaker 3: thinking about in the woods. The Southern region of poets,
- 43:47Speaker 3: it goes from that. We're not Deep South poets. Those
- 43:50Speaker 3: are more Gothic, that's more vampire obviously, But I'm Texas,
- 43:55Speaker 3: uh Arizona, New Mexico. It's the kind of the great
- 44:00Speaker 3: Southwest poets.
- 44:01Speaker 4: Awesome, lovely, Yeah, I love a poem. Wow, thank you,
- 44:06Speaker 4: and I just want to say thank you all for
- 44:09Speaker 4: having me. Yeah, I guess I've got a collection. I've
- 44:13Speaker 4: got about ten thousand little vignettes. Oh yeah, if you
- 44:18Speaker 4: guys talk about ten thousands, yeah, over ten thousand. I've
- 44:25Speaker 4: got released so many books. Is there anyone that you
- 44:27Speaker 4: guys would love to hear me? You want to flip
- 44:29Speaker 4: through your book?
- 44:31Speaker 6: If you have some titles, and if I could pull
- 44:35Speaker 6: the ribbon on your neck, that would be don't touch
- 44:36Speaker 6: it it okay, Okay, this is a coat.
- 44:41Speaker 4: This isn't the ribbon. Okay, interesting, I thought that was
- 44:45Speaker 4: I thought that looked like the coat covering the ribbon.
- 44:53Speaker 5: Oh, so we can't get to it.
- 44:55Speaker 4: So we can't get to it. Suppose you cover your
- 44:56Speaker 4: ribbon with a coat that looks like a ribbon. It
- 44:59Speaker 4: makes me the you have it's tried to trick you.
- 45:02Speaker 4: It's tried to keep you away from the real ribbon. Okay,
- 45:05Speaker 4: love your pincher's notebook that says goals, goals, goals. I
- 45:08Speaker 4: wrote this, I this okay, and somebody say stop. It
- 45:18Speaker 4: was very quickly. I barely got started.
- 45:22Speaker 5: Okay, m hmm, rupie, don't be shy.
- 45:34Speaker 6: She's getting shy.
- 45:37Speaker 4: Boo, your hair falls on my face. And in this
- 45:43Speaker 4: moment in my bed, we are but a trace, an
- 45:47Speaker 4: outline of something that will not last. Because you will
- 45:51Speaker 4: leave me, you will be at last free. You're a ghost.
- 46:00Speaker 4: I'm a girl. Our hands want to touch, but yet
- 46:08Speaker 4: it's just a boo boo.
- 46:14Speaker 18: Drawing.
- 46:15Speaker 4: I see the drawing. It's me lying in bed and
- 46:18Speaker 4: it's a ghost going up out of the bed and
- 46:21Speaker 4: it's all one line. Oh, this is this is the
- 46:25Speaker 4: person that did the Goosebumps covers. Yes, they're so graphics.
- 46:31Speaker 4: For this one.
- 46:32Speaker 6: I do the.
- 46:36Speaker 4: Always and they're all one line and I really put them. Yeah,
- 46:40Speaker 4: so they're really fun. I think it's really amazing. I
- 46:44Speaker 4: think I've got to.
- 46:44Speaker 5: Say, Rupie, I'm really scared right now.
- 46:47Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 46:47Speaker 5: That was deeply terrifying and my bones are chattering, Like
- 46:51Speaker 5: you want.
- 46:51Speaker 4: To terrify people on an existential level. I want to
- 46:54Speaker 4: terrify them by thinking about their relationships and making them
- 46:57Speaker 4: feel unsettled in their lives.
- 46:59Speaker 2: I was going hosted a month ago and yeah, no, yes,
- 47:03Speaker 2: by yes, And then my friend sent me that poem.
- 47:07Speaker 4: Thank you so much, thank you. So who's the piece
- 47:10Speaker 4: of ship that ghosted you. I can say it way alive.
- 47:14Speaker 2: Thanks some guy my pottery class. Oh somewhere, I'm a
- 47:18Speaker 2: pottery class.
- 47:19Speaker 4: That's all right, you had the voice, right.
- 47:21Speaker 9: I try.
- 47:21Speaker 2: I'm trying to do arts and crafts, but I'm too
- 47:23Speaker 2: fucked up for it, you guys. Ever tried to do
- 47:26Speaker 2: normal things, and the Halloween Poet comes out.
- 47:29Speaker 4: I started sort of a normal rapper.
- 47:31Speaker 8: That was sort of my my humble beginnings, really not
- 47:34Speaker 8: making it in the scene, you know, really trying to
- 47:36Speaker 8: kind of just make it as a normal rapper.
- 47:38Speaker 4: And then uh, one scary night I was I was
- 47:41Speaker 4: walking was it hollows Eve? And mm hm hmmm, and
- 47:45Speaker 4: I was really down in my life.
- 47:46Speaker 8: I was I thought I was gonna quit that I
- 47:48Speaker 8: was bit by It was bit by Frankenstein and he
- 47:53Speaker 8: bites he bites me. Bye, I was bit by a Frankenstein.
- 47:57Speaker 8: And I hear he does that with all of his
- 48:01Speaker 8: because I was dating frank Design.
- 48:02Speaker 4: For a little bit.
- 48:05Speaker 1: But because a lot of people say, was he a
- 48:07Speaker 1: rapper first or Halloween Pope? Which one came first? Chicken
- 48:09Speaker 1: of the egg?
- 48:10Speaker 4: You know, obvious it was rapper first, exactly, And yeah,
- 48:15Speaker 4: ever since that. I was overwhelmed with inspiration by that.
- 48:18Speaker 8: I don't know what it was from the bite, but
- 48:19Speaker 8: I suddenly felt in spied write all these beautiful songs.
- 48:22Speaker 4: That's actually when I wrote kit Cat Please give us that,
- 48:26Speaker 4: Please give us kit Cat Club. Yes, cabaret, but multiple
- 48:39Speaker 4: influence that. Wait, you did a pink pony club? What's that? Sorry?
- 48:42Speaker 4: I have one called stink Bony Club and we'll have
- 48:46Speaker 4: to hear that. Can we actually, just since we're on
- 48:48Speaker 4: the topic, maybe.
- 48:49Speaker 3: Yeah, everyone, because I've been trying to do kind of parodies.
- 48:54Speaker 4: That's how you've inspired me.
- 48:55Speaker 3: I've been trying to do parodies based on you know,
- 48:57Speaker 3: just to kind of connect with my children a little
- 48:59Speaker 3: bit more, trying to my skill.
- 49:00Speaker 4: So you had said you had one too.
- 49:02Speaker 1: No, I think we all have a yep, we should
- 49:04Speaker 1: all go around and do yours.
- 49:04Speaker 4: You do it first. Okay, I know you wanted me
- 49:10Speaker 4: to slay.
- 49:12Speaker 5: Christmas.
- 49:12Speaker 3: But okay, I know you wanted me to slay. But
- 49:22Speaker 3: you know, there ain't nowhere wolves living in Tennessee A
- 49:26Speaker 3: good rhyme?
- 49:27Speaker 4: Nice? You know, when I get up on the floor
- 49:31Speaker 4: going the bones are really creaky and there's some horror
- 49:36Speaker 4: in store, stink Bony Club.
- 49:41Speaker 18: I lost my marbles at the stink Bony Club, lost
- 49:45Speaker 18: my marbles down in Franknstein's house, lost my marbles Frank House,
- 49:52Speaker 18: frank out.
- 49:54Speaker 6: Just because the central part of the song is things
- 49:58Speaker 6: that happen at the pig Phony Club, but yours happens at.
- 50:04Speaker 5: Its club.
- 50:07Speaker 3: It's kind of like the pink boney clubs in West Hollywood,
- 50:09Speaker 3: the stink boney clubs in Frank.
- 50:13Speaker 4: It's a secret room. Oh yeah, and I didn't do
- 50:17Speaker 4: the big part that everyone loves.
- 50:18Speaker 5: Oh what have you done that?
- 50:21Speaker 18: You're a stink bony girl in EULAs Doh your marble.
- 50:28Speaker 4: That's why that's the first time you hear the marbles
- 50:30Speaker 4: thing you can't skip. That went absolutely viral on TikTok.
- 50:35Speaker 4: I actually have a song.
- 50:36Speaker 6: I'd love your feedback on that since they are in
- 50:39Speaker 6: the pop Okay, so it goes like this, wait, I
- 50:44Speaker 6: have to remember, Oh yes, thinking about.
- 50:48Speaker 5: Bones every night.
- 50:49Speaker 4: Oh that's not me. I'm dead.
- 50:51Speaker 5: Oh I'm thinking about bones.
- 50:54Speaker 4: I cannot sleep.
- 50:55Speaker 5: I'm so dead.
- 50:56Speaker 4: And that's really good.
- 51:00Speaker 5: Do you think you ended up really sort of a
- 51:03Speaker 5: slant rhyme with bones?
- 51:05Speaker 8: First introduction of definition of slant right first much slant.
- 51:12Speaker 4: Not even a single letter is the same.
- 51:14Speaker 3: First introduction is Friday is an adjective, by the way,
- 51:17Speaker 3: really fun there.
- 51:18Speaker 6: We're trying to mix it up, but I don't know,
- 51:20Speaker 6: not embarrass about it because I'm not a sacred But
- 51:22Speaker 6: go ahead.
- 51:22Speaker 1: I have one femininoma no nom nom nom no, which
- 51:28Speaker 1: is really good.
- 51:31Speaker 4: I'm not really good.
- 51:33Speaker 7: Are eaking ski tools?
- 51:38Speaker 6: Yes?
- 51:41Speaker 4: Three verse at the end.
- 51:44Speaker 5: To bone to nothing. It was really good.
- 51:49Speaker 4: It's really great that you all getting into songs. It
- 51:52Speaker 4: feels it must be.
- 51:55Speaker 5: Nothing compared to what you've got rumbling around your notes.
- 51:59Speaker 3: I mean, I'll whip something out, all right, let me
- 52:01Speaker 3: say this is I got what I'm very excited about.
- 52:04Speaker 4: Okay, all right, it's.
- 52:06Speaker 8: Unreleased, so maybe you know, maybe this will be like
- 52:08Speaker 8: an extra bonus features.
- 52:10Speaker 1: You don't have to edit it, oh because it hasn't
- 52:12Speaker 1: been sent.
- 52:12Speaker 4: Oh great, exactly, I can don't have to call anyone
- 52:15Speaker 4: fix it ahead, I'll probably just send it.
- 52:21Speaker 5: You've got a system that works for you.
- 52:24Speaker 4: Yeah, let's just record this one. I'll just.
- 52:27Speaker 19: All right, b oh oh oh oh oh, I am
- 52:33Speaker 19: a freek can go and sort of that's really good.
- 52:40Speaker 4: That's good. That's really I also have one. Yes, this
- 52:44Speaker 4: is inspired. I'm sure this is one of my favorite ones.
- 52:50Speaker 4: Dun du, they boo like guts. They boo like guts.
- 52:54Speaker 4: They boo like guts. Dun du, they boo like guts,
- 52:58Speaker 4: they like guts. Everybody say spooky egos, spooky gus, spooky egos,
- 53:06Speaker 4: spooky gus. Then boo this way, boo that way, then
- 53:10Speaker 4: boo way boy, and then I can't say the rest
- 53:14Speaker 4: of the lyrics out loud. Do you do?
- 53:19Speaker 5: Do you call anyone a pedophile?
- 53:20Speaker 4: And I call a lot of people. I'm a little
- 53:24Speaker 4: I'm a little upset that you pulled that specific song.
- 53:27Speaker 4: I know, I knew, and that's why I was so
- 53:29Speaker 4: hesitant to bring it up, because I know you're beef
- 53:30Speaker 4: with with Kendrick Lamar and are shifting. Well, I did
- 53:35Speaker 4: just want to us what the Halloween version of a
- 53:37Speaker 4: pedophile is. You don't know the Halloween version of pedophile.
- 53:42Speaker 4: It's easy, It's well, it's easy. It's very easy. It's
- 53:52Speaker 4: so easy.
- 53:53Speaker 5: Really, it's so that's easy.
- 53:58Speaker 4: Well, that's easy. It's easy. It's a.
- 54:04Speaker 5: Regular pedophiles hard.
- 54:10Speaker 4: Really rather not actually, actually, it's a pedopile of bones. Yeah, okay,
- 54:16Speaker 4: that's dead, O pile dead.
- 54:21Speaker 8: A pile of bones, and that's disruption, he said.
- 54:29Speaker 4: Certified, he said, certified. Love Fu Boy certified dead a
- 54:33Speaker 4: pile of bones. So the bar went certified. Halloween Boy
- 54:37Speaker 4: certified made it work. His rhythms are crazy. It's just
- 54:43Speaker 4: got such good flow.
- 54:44Speaker 6: And I feel so bad because every time it comes
- 54:46Speaker 6: on at a Halloween club, I like, I still.
- 54:50Speaker 5: Need to dance to it.
- 54:51Speaker 4: Are we are still going to Halloween clubs? Those wish clean.
- 54:57Speaker 2: I know you want to shut down all the national
- 54:59Speaker 2: par but I want to clean those Halloween clocks.
- 55:01Speaker 8: Well, during COVID they did like one final clean. They
- 55:03Speaker 8: hadn't cleaned it in like one hundred and forty things.
- 55:06Speaker 4: They clubs. It is time to change.
- 55:09Speaker 3: They have developed hypoallergenic cobwebs this year, and I think
- 55:13Speaker 3: it's very exciting.
- 55:14Speaker 4: We've got to start using the gluten free webs. Gluten free, well,
- 55:16Speaker 4: you're eating those.
- 55:18Speaker 1: I'm eating candy.
- 55:20Speaker 4: I didn't know there was gluten in cobwebs before.
- 55:23Speaker 1: There's gluten and everything.
- 55:24Speaker 4: Look it up, okay, and you will look at it up.
- 55:27Speaker 7: You will.
- 55:28Speaker 4: You will be looking at you it's a slight curse,
- 55:31Speaker 4: which I.
- 55:31Speaker 6: Like, there's something we haven't brought up. And I don't
- 55:36Speaker 6: know if the last year's panel brought it up either.
- 55:39Speaker 6: Maybe they maybe they did a little bit. But I'm
- 55:41Speaker 6: sure there are questions circulating about how we make money,
- 55:46Speaker 6: and I wanted to know if anyone had any projects
- 55:51Speaker 6: they were cooking up that that they're excited about.
- 55:54Speaker 1: Do you make money in March?
- 55:56Speaker 4: I think I make well, it's not money in March.
- 55:58Speaker 4: I make merch, make merchest money, honey.
- 56:02Speaker 5: And so do you have to use it as sort
- 56:04Speaker 5: of bartering? Like do you pay for things in.
- 56:06Speaker 4: Merch or are you for my rent in merch? I
- 56:09Speaker 4: how does that work with the grocery store? Are you
- 56:11Speaker 4: going down there with a thousand shirts trying to get
- 56:12Speaker 4: a hot dog? The you know, they don't take shirts anymore.
- 56:14Speaker 4: But if I'm so, if I need one.
- 56:16Speaker 3: Hot dog, I'll go down to the grocery store and
- 56:19Speaker 3: I'll get a couple of novelty candy pails and then
- 56:22Speaker 3: I'll say how many for this?
- 56:23Speaker 4: And they they're assholes down there. They're assholes down there.
- 56:26Speaker 8: It's like, tell me, tell me if this makes sense
- 56:29Speaker 8: to you guys twenty five candy pails for one hot dog.
- 56:34Speaker 4: Tell me that makes any sense to you.
- 56:36Speaker 5: No, noll bull, that's not fair. They're gouging you.
- 56:42Speaker 4: And Kroger is just rude for that.
- 56:43Speaker 1: And are you guys doing a direct deposit from the
- 56:46Speaker 1: grave sites?
- 56:47Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 56:48Speaker 2: Yeah, Because I used to get checks for my poets poems,
- 56:51Speaker 2: I can't do it anymore.
- 56:52Speaker 3: Well, I got locked out of my bank account because
- 56:55Speaker 3: when I'm writing, I get in such a spooky mood.
- 56:57Speaker 3: I think my pan is six six sixty six, and
- 57:00Speaker 3: then I can't get into my bank account.
- 57:02Speaker 6: It's tough because my car pins are six six six,
- 57:05Speaker 6: so you never.
- 57:06Speaker 4: Know which bank account you're logging into it exactly, And
- 57:09Speaker 4: it's kind of.
- 57:09Speaker 5: Honor system where I go forty three thousand dollars. Oh,
- 57:12Speaker 5: that's not mine mine.
- 57:14Speaker 4: I don't think six six six is the scariest number,
- 57:16Speaker 4: but I would say one extra six makes it even scarier. Yeah, exactly.
- 57:20Speaker 1: Think another scary pin is nine one one.
- 57:23Speaker 4: Yes, terrible happening.
- 57:26Speaker 5: Dude, that's a scary pin.
- 57:27Speaker 4: I'll tell you how I'm making money very exit. I'm
- 57:29Speaker 4: actually going on tour this year.
- 57:32Speaker 1: Amazing, it's really thank you guys.
- 57:34Speaker 4: Thanks.
- 57:35Speaker 3: I've booked forty five elementary schools in the next three months,
- 57:39Speaker 3: and it's it's a school assembly, I guess specificy, but
- 57:43Speaker 3: it's fine, you know. It's I built a fun little
- 57:47Speaker 3: show that is spooky at heart but also child accessible.
- 57:50Speaker 3: So it's a blood, bloody Guthrie's House of childhood Horrors.
- 57:55Speaker 3: And so I go, I do an assembly. I read
- 57:58Speaker 3: some poems, I have some puppets, and y'all are more
- 58:00Speaker 3: than welcome to join.
- 58:01Speaker 1: I think if I was a parent, I wouldn't want
- 58:03Speaker 1: my kid to have that assembly. No, not in a
- 58:05Speaker 1: bad way. I don't mean to be harsh.
- 58:06Speaker 3: Well, I think because my stuff is folks here, people
- 58:09Speaker 3: think it's more fun and then they go home and
- 58:11Speaker 3: they go, oh, that was a little weird. So I
- 58:14Speaker 3: can I have poetry that gets me in the front door,
- 58:17Speaker 3: you know what I mean? So, and it's educational or
- 58:20Speaker 3: it's educational. Yeah, we we have to uh incorporate shelter
- 58:25Speaker 3: and place drill. That's the way I kind of I promoted,
- 58:30Speaker 3: as you do that.
- 58:31Speaker 4: I promoted as a shelter in place active shooter drill
- 58:34Speaker 4: assembly to the money.
- 58:37Speaker 6: And so you're sort of Trojan horsing in Halloween poetry.
- 58:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 58:41Speaker 3: Absolutely, you say skeletor in place, skelator in place, yeah,
- 58:49Speaker 3: active booter.
- 58:52Speaker 4: No, it's a sign of our time. I wish it
- 58:58Speaker 4: weren't true, or she weren't true.
- 59:00Speaker 7: Wish it weren't true.
- 59:01Speaker 5: Well, I'm also going on tour. I'm going to be
- 59:03Speaker 5: a private Halloween poet for it. Yeah, I'm going private.
- 59:10Speaker 4: Private tour, private tour.
- 59:12Speaker 6: Well, yes, I'm going to be the private Halloween poet
- 59:16Speaker 6: for Sabrina Carpenter.
- 59:19Speaker 5: Yes, I'm very excited.
- 59:20Speaker 6: So I'm going to be following her all around the
- 59:21Speaker 6: country and a few locations in Europe as well, and
- 59:24Speaker 6: I'm going to be reading her spooky poems at night
- 59:28Speaker 6: as she puts her feet up in her pink, fluffy bed.
- 59:33Speaker 7: So very excited.
- 59:35Speaker 4: There's no place for that parody. It's just kind of weird.
- 59:37Speaker 1: It doesn't make any sense.
- 59:39Speaker 4: Yeah, use the word pink. It's about to be a
- 59:42Speaker 4: carpent room, but.
- 59:42Speaker 1: It's fluffy and not scary.
- 59:46Speaker 4: Oh yeah, well what about this.
- 59:53Speaker 7: For the audio listener?
- 59:54Speaker 4: The ribbons opened, It's another ribbon. You'll never get it
- 59:58Speaker 4: open because underneath it all is a soul. And what
- 1:00:02Speaker 4: is a soul, but an idea that haunts.
- 1:00:07Speaker 9: Your bones, that makes you understand what life is, mortality.
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: It's a tattoo, I regret.
- 1:00:23Speaker 5: It's just like an ugly bird.
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: It's an ugly bird.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: That's what the colt I've ever seen.
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: It's really They just says it's an ugly bird. That
- 1:00:36Speaker 4: says breathe. That I was trying to remind myself to breathe.
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: But the problem is I can never see it. It
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: says backwards, it says in the mirror where I would
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: see it, I can't. It reads wrong. What a silly tattoo,
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: A silly tat scary tattoo.
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: Well, I have a huge check coming in. Okay, huge
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: check come in it because I'm doing a deal with Starburst.
- 1:01:04Speaker 6: Wow.
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: Yeah, what's the deal?
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: Star Burst of a dead body?
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: Okay? And what is it?
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: It's the Halloween version that's Starburst. Yes, so I renamed
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: it and I'm getting a big check for it.
- 1:01:20Speaker 5: You're kind of a copywriter.
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: Yeah, what is it? And is the same or is
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: it a different type of Star Wars?
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: The pink is a little darker red. No, just a
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: little darker pink.
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: That's red red. That's not scary though a pink, A
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: darker pink is like a move.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: I guess yeah, it got lost in the sauce. Too
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: many cooks in the kitchen.
- 1:01:40Speaker 4: Literally, well, this has been awesome.
- 1:01:45Speaker 5: It's amazing. Surely well, surely all just read a little.
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: Rapid fire poem, fastest poems.
- 1:01:51Speaker 5: Everybody, and we can end on a song.
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: What if we did? Maybe, I mean, we could read
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: our own poems and just tell me to go to hell.
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: This is about idea. You can say that, I can
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: say hell. You can say I couldn't say go to Australia,
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: go to home. We will not discuss that Australia is
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: not hell, y'all.
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: We can make an exquisite corpse to it. We like
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: exquisite corpses. That's us, you know where we all create
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: a poem using one in the moment. I think that
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: would be fun to kind of we are the world
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: of Halloween poems.
- 1:02:24Speaker 5: Journals, dis journals down. We're doing this off the dome
- 1:02:29Speaker 5: or should I say off the bones.
- 1:02:33Speaker 7: Doom?
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: Okay, oh that would have been better. I love a salon.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: Here we go a stanza each.
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: I think that's a great idea. Maybe we leave a
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: rhyme we leave a stands at each legal. I've never
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: heard of that, so ab, let's do it.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: I don't want to do it.
- 1:02:59Speaker 4: An empty heart filled with nothing.
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: But the memory of ghosts, family size or fun size that.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: I won't knowst.
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: Sitting around the fire, looking at each other's faces, worrying, worrying.
