THE FIRST MARTYRS FOR CHRIST
Our meditation today has the theme: First Martyrs for Christ. We have just been introduced to the first martyr of the newly founded Church in Jerusalem, namely St. Stephen. Today we meet a large number of martyrs, the infants of Jesus' age in Bethlehem, and they deserve the title of the first martyrs for Christ.
