- 5:24Speaker 2: you're stroking out over in the corner.
- 5:26Speaker 1: I wonder if if Kenny's listening this morning, Ken shout
- 5:31Speaker 1: out to Derek Hawkins from Heinsberg last night getting the
- 5:36Speaker 1: Myers Container Service triple crown. He is the champion. Rich
- 5:41Speaker 1: Lowry behind him from South Hero and Cooper French from
- 5:44Speaker 1: Northfield rounding out the top three. It was a great
- 5:47Speaker 1: night of thunder road. Very happy that Stephen Donahue got
- 5:54Speaker 1: the Late Model race last night fifty laps.
- 5:57Speaker 2: And this is that thunder roader up at Maine. Just
- 6:00Speaker 2: thunder road man. Because I know his parents. I was
- 6:02Speaker 2: at Paul's funeral this week, beautiful funeral. Dude. Paul was
- 6:06Speaker 2: loved by everyone. So my father in law was there.
- 6:11Speaker 2: They have a whole group of people that was Randy Cree,
- 6:14Speaker 2: Wayne Champigne, Paul Donahue, all them got all of my
- 6:17Speaker 2: my in laws and stuff. They you know, they grew
- 6:20Speaker 2: up together. They they so Paul was the oldest one.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Oh my god, did they get in trouble together. And
- 6:27Speaker 2: then of course Brenda grew up with John and Bill.
- 6:29Speaker 2: She lived with John and Dawn for a while, my wife.

- 6:35Speaker 2: They we've been close for forever, Mayeah, They've been It's
- 6:40Speaker 2: been like a family thing for a couple of generations.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Now but I well, I saw a lot of people there. Yeah,
- 6:47Speaker 2: you know, there was there was you know, the the
- 6:51Speaker 2: because I mean, he was such a good dude in
- 6:54Speaker 2: the racing community. Not only that he had a huge family.
- 6:57Speaker 2: I know, Uh, Bill was taken in pretty hard, which
- 7:00Speaker 2: is understandable. They were really close with their dad. He
- 7:03Speaker 2: was a good dude. But hmm, Sue, you know, well,
- 7:09Speaker 2: the cool thing was meeting all the little old ladies
- 7:12Speaker 2: over there because my mother in law watches me on
- 7:15Speaker 2: here and they they mean, they started watching because of
- 7:17Speaker 2: Dante on Saturdays, which we will have Dante tomorrow, but
- 7:21Speaker 2: so my mother in law, so all the little old
- 7:23Speaker 2: ladies they come up, they're like, oh my god, I
- 7:26Speaker 2: love watching you with Dante. So it was pretty cool
- 7:28Speaker 2: just seeing all the the people up there. But yeah,
- 7:31Speaker 2: condolences to the Dona Hues and Bill and John and stuff. Man.
- 7:35Speaker 2: I know it was tough for them. But he was

- 7:47Speaker 1: absolutely got such a good kid.
- 7:49Speaker 2: I remember when they were like little, tiny kids and stuff, man,
- 7:54Speaker 2: just little little My daughter just absolutely loves Steven he's
- 7:58Speaker 2: so adorable.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Becky is Becky's on my ass this morning, and she's
- 8:04Speaker 1: spot on right. It was Robert Gordon who won the
- 8:07Speaker 1: Triple Crown last night, not Derek Hawkins. I'm sorry, so
- 8:11Speaker 1: I got that wrong.
- 8:12Speaker 2: I need to get back out. We should plan a
- 8:14Speaker 2: trip to go to thunder Roads sometime. I haven't been
- 8:18Speaker 2: in years. It was always so much fun. We'll get
- 8:20Speaker 2: up on a Yeah, we should go up on bud
- 8:22Speaker 2: Hill and cause a disturbance. We go up on bud Hill. Yeah,
- 8:26Speaker 2: we'll get into a fight. You and I, Oh perfect.
- 8:29Speaker 2: You can throw me down the bank. We could do
- 8:31Speaker 2: like WWF style all through the crowd and we'll get
- 8:35Speaker 2: you hammered and then I'll be totally sober and I'll
- 8:38Speaker 2: kick your ass.
- 8:39Speaker 1: That would be a great idea. Thank you Becky for
- 8:44Speaker 1: catching that this morning. But yeah, let's see street stocks
- 8:49Speaker 1: Jamie Davis from Johnson got the Checkers, the Road Warriors,
- 8:54Speaker 1: Brandon Primont from Johnson Vermont. So, yeah, it was a
- 8:58Speaker 1: perfect night last night at thunder Road. I want to
- 9:03Speaker 1: talk about let's let's talk about tomorrow.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Yes, so I wasn't supposed to be there tomorrow because
- 9:10Speaker 2: we had our seminar with Sean Stutman, and then Shawn's
- 9:15Speaker 2: dog had to have emergency surgery, so I can't. Yeah,
- 9:18Speaker 2: may I love animals, so I can't. But so now
- 9:21Speaker 2: we're going to be there. So what we're gonna do
- 9:23Speaker 2: is I don't have a lot of money.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Well, we're talking about the Barry Farm Fest, the Nodes
- 9:27Speaker 1: Family Benefit.
- 9:29Speaker 2: The Notes say the same thing.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Yes, yes, see right there at the top Barry Farm Fest.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Oh okay, I thought there were two different things. No, no, perfect.
- 9:39Speaker 2: You had me really confused. You need to work on
- 9:41Speaker 2: your marketing, but I didn't. It wasn't if you're confusing
- 9:47Speaker 2: your co host market.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Somebody named it Barry Farm Fest, and I don't know.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Maybe it'll hit off, be something that we could do
- 9:54Speaker 2: every year raise money for family farms around.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Well, we're already cool. I were already talking to about that.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Oh that's awesome. I think farmers deserve it. They are
- 10:05Speaker 2: the hardest working people. We have, yes out there, and.
- 10:08Speaker 1: But the Notes family lost their barn and their two
- 10:12Speaker 1: hundred plus livestock that were in that barn from that
- 10:16Speaker 1: fire in April, and we are coming together in a
- 10:19Speaker 1: big way to try to raise some funds and have
- 10:22Speaker 1: some fun doing it. Yeah, to help. Is Jamie Lee
- 10:25Speaker 1: Thurston gonna be there?
- 10:27Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, I love partying with that guy. Every time
- 10:30Speaker 2: I've had him do a couple of fundraisers. He is
- 10:32Speaker 2: so much fun, dude, And the show that he puts on.
- 10:35Speaker 2: His shows are final, Like I don't care. Everybody just
- 10:39Speaker 2: like you think that it's just like a bar band,
- 10:42Speaker 2: but it is not. He is a legit country star, dude.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Is it's a lot. It's a good show.
- 10:48Speaker 1: And look at this show. Look at this powerhouse lineup,
- 10:51Speaker 1: Dave Keller, Donna, thunder Heartless, Jasp and White is gonna

- 11:00Speaker 2: hanging out because we wanted to donate. We want to
- 11:02Speaker 2: do something through Donny Brooks. So we're gonna bring tickets up.
- 11:04Speaker 2: They're gonna sit at your booth with you, okay, and
- 11:06Speaker 2: we're gonna sell tickets. In every ticket, we're gonna give
- 11:08Speaker 2: fifty percent of whatever, fifty percent of the ticket sales,
- 11:12Speaker 2: we're going to give back to the family for the
- 11:14Speaker 2: battle and Barry, Yeah, for the battle and Barry and
- 11:16Speaker 2: then that's what we're going to try to do to
- 11:17Speaker 2: help the Nodes family.
- 11:19Speaker 1: All Right, you get a fifty dollars ticket and.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Then twenty five bucks we're gonna give to the Nodes family.

- 11:41Speaker 2: Yeah? What? Yeah?

- 11:47Speaker 1: play holy shit man in his voice? I mean everything.
- 11:51Speaker 1: That guy is unbelievable. I'm a huge fan. I heard
- 11:54Speaker 1: him and I was the first time I heard him.
- 11:57Speaker 1: I was like, what, Holy crap man. But there's there's
- 12:03Speaker 1: gonna be a cotton candy cotton candy booth there, which
- 12:08Speaker 1: I know you're very excited about because you'll be putting
- 12:10Speaker 1: that down.
- 12:10Speaker 2: We just donated a cotton candy machine to Burgamore Armois,
- 12:15Speaker 2: Yeah and Williamston. We donated that to them so they
- 12:17Speaker 2: could have it for the field days because we had
- 12:19Speaker 2: one for Donnie Brook or we had it for We
- 12:22Speaker 2: had bought it originally for the moose and then they
- 12:24Speaker 2: sold the moose and all that, so I had it
- 12:26Speaker 2: in my storage. I was like, hey, just amazing.
- 12:28Speaker 1: But by the way, speaking of Williamstown and all of that,
- 12:32Speaker 1: they're big Fall festival. Lindsey's going to be coming in

- 14:16Speaker 2: Prayers to her.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I hope she gets a speedy because you know what

- 14:21Speaker 2: Oh those suck with the heartburn and all that other
- 14:24Speaker 2: stuff that comes well, makes you feel like you're having
- 14:26Speaker 2: a heart attack.

- 15:39Speaker 2: be a heavyweight. Now he fights at one hundred and
- 15:41Speaker 2: fifty five pounds. Okay, wow, so yeah, he's still got
- 15:44Speaker 2: a bunch of power.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Who's the other guy? What Sergevich?
- 15:49Speaker 2: Okay?
- 15:49Speaker 1: I just personally, even if I was a pretty good fighter,
- 15:54Speaker 1: I wouldn't fight anyone by the name of serge.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Well, I have my okay. I would one hundred percent
- 16:03Speaker 2: fist fight somebody named Ushkevich. I wouldn't want to wrestle
- 16:05Speaker 2: somebody named Ushkevich or anybody with a daggers standing name.
- 16:09Speaker 2: I don't want to wrestle any of them. Guys, I
- 16:12Speaker 2: do not. Did you see the the did you see
- 16:14Speaker 2: the USC fights there last week or whatnot? With Osmon
- 16:17Speaker 2: and DDP so Hosmon, all he did was lay him
- 16:19Speaker 2: down on the ground. He crucifixed him and they got
- 16:22Speaker 2: a picture and DDP has his fingers stuffed right in
- 16:27Speaker 2: Osmond's dary air and the cat and DDP says, I
- 16:34Speaker 2: tried everything to get out. I even oil checked him,
- 16:36Speaker 2: because that's what it's called an oil chet. He goes.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Hosmot smiled at me and said, yes, brother, I like
- 16:42Speaker 2: that too. How intimidating. You've tried everything. Now the guy's like, whoo,
- 16:49Speaker 2: Now not only am I holding you down pinion you,
- 16:51Speaker 2: but now you're making me turned on Like them guys
- 16:54Speaker 2: are crazy them Cheshnians and shit. You know there's no
- 16:57Speaker 2: way to get.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Just well, that's why I'm saying I wouldn't. I wouldn't
- 17:01Speaker 1: fight one of them. I just got asked the price
- 17:05Speaker 1: tag to get into the Barry Farmfest. No, it's family
- 17:08Speaker 1: benefit tomorrow. It is admission. Admission by donation. Okay, So
- 17:14Speaker 1: the only thing they they ask is and they're gonna
- 17:17Speaker 1: be pretty strict about this, no coolers, no pets. But
- 17:21Speaker 1: please if you'd like to make a donation, because.
- 17:23Speaker 2: They have a liquor license up there, yea, and so
- 17:25Speaker 2: you can't walk around. You can't bring alcohol Otherwise the
- 17:28Speaker 2: whoever's doing the h furnishing the alcohol will risk their license.
- 17:32Speaker 2: We have the same thing with Gusto's at our events
- 17:34Speaker 2: and stuff. You can't bring things in because it's and
- 17:37Speaker 2: it's not because the event's trying to be a dick,
- 17:39Speaker 2: it's because of state laws.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Right. The donation. If you would like to make a
- 17:44Speaker 1: donation by check, make it payable to the Barry Lions
- 17:47Speaker 1: Club po Box two one one, Barry Vermont five six
- 17:53Speaker 1: four one and put in the memo nodes family.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Oh you can bring checks. I have a whole book
- 18:00Speaker 2: of them.
- 18:00Speaker 1: If you want to bring a check, if you want
- 18:03Speaker 1: to make a donation. Glenn Brummert is so excited about
- 18:07Speaker 1: September thirteenth.
- 18:08Speaker 2: He should be. He's got his table. We told him
- 18:12Speaker 2: for like two years. Yeah, now, bro, you got it.
- 18:16Speaker 2: You know. They did the same thing to me. And
- 18:18Speaker 2: then I finally went to one. I was like, oh
- 18:19Speaker 2: my god, that's the same thing to me. I did
- 18:22Speaker 2: the same thing that happened to me. And that was
- 18:24Speaker 2: somebody was like, you need to come and do this,
- 18:26Speaker 2: you need to come and watch it. And I was like,
- 18:27Speaker 2: how come this place is impact? How come every person
- 18:29Speaker 2: in Barry is not here?
- 18:31Speaker 1: Whoa Becky who's on right now is saying I don't
- 18:35Speaker 1: know if you can see the monitor, but she's saying,
- 18:38Speaker 1: my son and daughter in law are competing in Worlds
- 18:41Speaker 1: Brazilian jiu Jitsu.
- 18:42Speaker 2: In Vegas next week. Oh is that Masters?
- 18:45Speaker 1: I don't know.

- 18:51Speaker 1: Your class is a broken, buddy.
- 18:53Speaker 2: No they're not so yeah, No, that's awesome. We don't
- 18:57Speaker 2: have anybody. Chris was the last one to compete in
- 18:59Speaker 2: world We don't have anybody competing this year Worlds. Okay,
- 19:04Speaker 2: we have to because it's because of all the fighting
- 19:07Speaker 2: takes up all uh Lucas's energy for you know, and
- 19:12Speaker 2: when you're gonna compete in ib JJF worlds, you need
- 19:15Speaker 2: to that's a huge focus. That's as that's as much
- 19:18Speaker 2: of a training camp as getting ready for an m
- 19:21Speaker 2: m A fight. Fine, but that's super cool. Ask her
- 19:24Speaker 2: who who they trained under? Who are they? Where's Becky from?
- 19:27Speaker 2: What do you ask Becky? Where? Where are your kids from?
- 19:30Speaker 2: Who do they train under?
- 19:31Speaker 1: We'll find out.
- 19:32Speaker 2: I think that's super cool. I love the whole jiu
- 19:34Speaker 2: jitsu community. Man, I travel everywhere. I've trained with guys
- 19:38Speaker 2: like jiu Jitsu. I've trained with Delaheva Black Belts, I
- 19:42Speaker 2: go anywhere like I get super excited. Edward Scissorhands. I've
- 19:46Speaker 2: trained with that guy. He's just he's crazy with cross
- 19:49Speaker 2: collar chokes and little guy just chokes a crap at him.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Oh my god, Crew Ballard Luca, and I mean, I'm
- 19:56Speaker 2: blessed by having Luke there, being able to train right
- 19:59Speaker 2: close to my house.
- 20:00Speaker 1: The Newdi v E and U t I uh where
- 20:06Speaker 1: That's what Gino's saying. So I'm not I'm not sure.
- 20:09Speaker 1: I'm not sure, but we'll find out. Okay, we'll find out.
- 20:12Speaker 1: I want to say before we go any further that,
- 20:15Speaker 1: uh make.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Ah, that's her last name, so she is. Yes, she's Italian,
- 20:20Speaker 2: so her so that must be her married name.
- 20:22Speaker 1: They live in Nebraska. Oh okay, okay, yeah, Becky's in Essex.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Perfect. Hey, thanks for listening in Essex. I hope to
- 20:30Speaker 2: meet Becky someday if you have people all the way
- 20:33Speaker 2: down in like clear Water in Saint Pete. So because
- 20:36Speaker 2: my mother in law they have they live in a
- 20:38Speaker 2: retirement community, so they all get together to watch the
- 20:41Speaker 2: podcast every Friday. And the retirement community, Oh what the
- 20:46Speaker 2: heck I will, I will have is right in Saint Pete. Okay,
- 20:52Speaker 2: it's like the sunset something. But yeah, I will. We'll
- 20:55Speaker 2: give them a shout out when we'll do it this
- 20:57Speaker 2: winter when they're all down there watching us.
- 20:59Speaker 1: So serious question. Can we go down there this winter
- 21:04Speaker 1: and do a live podcast from this retirement community?
- 21:08Speaker 2: Please? Yeah?
- 21:10Speaker 1: Seriously, no bullshit me you Brenda Sherylyn. Yeah, maybe Lily,
- 21:17Speaker 1: let's leave the kids, Okay, that would be amazing, send
- 21:21Speaker 1: them on a Disney cruise. I have a lot of
- 21:23Speaker 1: questions for these folks. And I would love to ask it.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely no, because it's it's it's it's a really
- 21:33Speaker 2: diverse community down there because they're Canadians. There's people from
- 21:36Speaker 2: the Midwest, there's people from the Northeast. It's it's pretty cool.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Before we go any further, I want to give a
- 21:42Speaker 1: shout out to Locan Luis and his brand new spanking
- 21:46Speaker 1: podcast called Athletics. He is going to be on tomorrow
- 21:49Speaker 1: morning at ten thirty.
- 21:50Speaker 2: I hope he interviews his grandmother. I love his grandmother.
- 21:54Speaker 2: That's not gonna happen, but I would like to talk
- 21:57Speaker 2: about the world is not ready for Grandma Marie Loose.
- 22:02Speaker 1: She is.
- 22:03Speaker 2: I grew up with that lady. She is absolutely watched. Marie.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Marie Stacy used to be her name, but she's been
- 22:10Speaker 2: Loose forever. She is the wildest aunt I've ever had.
- 22:13Speaker 2: She's the funnest person to be around, but she is
- 22:16Speaker 2: absolutely no bullshit, no filter like you. Her husband is
- 22:22Speaker 2: the quietest, just a super mellow guy. And when she
- 22:27Speaker 2: comes into a room, if you're a kid acting up,
- 22:29Speaker 2: you better be ready to be grabbed by your ear smacked.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Her like that lady does not mess around.
- 22:34Speaker 1: You're way more scared. I told you, I've told Logan.
- 22:40Speaker 1: I'm like, I gotta get Marie on the air.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Yes, she's wild, she's.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Up in cabin or something.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Yep, but she grew up on Beckley Hill with my mom.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Her and my mom are best friends.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Make this weekend a movie weekend over at the Capitol
- 22:56Speaker 1: show place in my pillier, the Paramount Twin in Barry.
- 23:00Speaker 1: You can get your tickets in advance, just check them
- 23:03Speaker 1: out on Facebook and Instagram to FGB Theaters dot com.
- 23:08Speaker 1: But they have all kinds of you know, you can
- 23:11Speaker 1: rent out the theater for a birthday party or a special.
- 23:13Speaker 1: We know that you can really, Yeah, you want to
- 23:17Speaker 1: do it sometime?
- 23:18Speaker 3: Ah?
- 23:19Speaker 2: I might. If they get a jiu jitsu movie, I
- 23:21Speaker 2: would rent the whole thing for my Oh, let's let's
- 23:23Speaker 2: go and and let's yeah, let's go and watch like
- 23:26Speaker 2: a Disney movie there or something that would be really
- 23:30Speaker 2: cool rent a movie theater.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, so how how?
- 23:37Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 23:37Speaker 1: Go ahead?
- 23:38Speaker 2: Remember the guy that got Remember the guy They just
- 23:41Speaker 2: NBC News just trash that dude that hit the homeless guy. Yes,
- 23:46Speaker 2: did you see that? Yes?
- 23:48Speaker 1: Okay, the homeless guy in the area who's wearing dark
- 23:53Speaker 1: clothes and jumping out.
- 23:54Speaker 2: Car jumps out in front of cars. Okay, so you
- 23:57Speaker 2: know that part about it. This is what I hate
- 23:59Speaker 2: about They turned that story into a huge sensational story
- 24:04Speaker 2: when I read that, and and the worst part is
- 24:06Speaker 2: I trained that guy. He trains with us, and I
- 24:09Speaker 2: know him Pally, the homeless guy, not the homeless guy Kevin,
- 24:12Speaker 2: the other guy. I'm not gonna mention his last name
- 24:15Speaker 2: and stuff, but so I reached out to him. I
- 24:17Speaker 2: was like, first of all, man, do you and your
- 24:18Speaker 2: family need everything? And he's like, bro, he goes, I
- 24:23Speaker 2: was just leaving work because he's a chef. He works
- 24:26Speaker 2: at a restaurant or whatever. He had a beer and
- 24:30Speaker 2: or whatever it was, you know, a wine. I don't
- 24:32Speaker 2: know what exactly it was. But he was leaving, he
- 24:35Speaker 2: was getting onto you. He's getting onto the entrance ramp
- 24:41Speaker 2: to Waterbury and he hits this guy. Well he tried
- 24:45Speaker 2: to he tried to swerve or whatever, but the mirror
- 24:47Speaker 2: hit him. The mirror ended up hit him. I don't
- 24:49Speaker 2: know why the guy was on the entrance ramp in
- 24:50Speaker 2: the first place. So the cops did a field sobriety test.
- 24:53Speaker 2: He passed that. On the side of the road. He
- 24:55Speaker 2: blew a point zero six. He got to the station,
- 24:57Speaker 2: they blew a point zero five and they still charged him.
- 25:00Speaker 2: They're like, uh, do you have anybody you can call.
- 25:02Speaker 2: He's like, no, I have a newborn and a wife
- 25:04Speaker 2: and I have the car. They're like, well, you're sitting
- 25:07Speaker 2: in jail all night long. He's like, then, I guess
- 25:09Speaker 2: I'm sitting in jail all night long. I have no
- 25:10Speaker 2: one to call. And he blew under a point zero
- 25:14Speaker 2: eight and they still charged him and stuff, And then
- 25:16Speaker 2: the news people like that was that was really shady
- 25:21Speaker 2: what they did to that poor guy. And we see
- 25:23Speaker 2: it all the time, and you don't know because you're
- 25:25Speaker 2: just like, they put this sensational thing out there, and
- 25:29Speaker 2: unless you know that people personally, you'll never know the
- 25:31Speaker 2: real story to it. Yeah, So I thought that was crazy,
- 25:35Speaker 2: and I want to get that out there because Kevin's
- 25:36Speaker 2: a decent guy. He's not a he's a real good guy.
- 25:40Speaker 2: He just had a brand new it just had a newborn,
- 25:42Speaker 2: and shit, he's a Yeah, he's a like a chef
- 25:44Speaker 2: at a five star restaurant.
- 25:45Speaker 1: But if we have something that is repetitively happening happening
- 25:51Speaker 1: with some individual who is again, yeah, jumping out in
- 25:57Speaker 1: front of vehicles.
- 25:58Speaker 2: But why is he said and wearing?
- 26:01Speaker 1: And the other thing is now you have but the
- 26:04Speaker 1: same guys in Berlin. I mean, this is where our
- 26:06Speaker 1: systems are fwhere.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Because Kevin, Kevin has a young family, he has a kid,
- 26:12Speaker 2: and now he has to hire a lawyer and go
- 26:14Speaker 2: to court to fight a dui charge that should have
- 26:17Speaker 2: never even been charged, should have been already thrown out
- 26:21Speaker 2: and this should have been an accident where insurance companies
- 26:23Speaker 2: were taking care of this. But now he's going to
- 26:26Speaker 2: be forced to hire a criminal lawyer. What is he
- 26:29Speaker 2: going to have twenty five hundred three thousand dollars or
- 26:32Speaker 2: take a plea deal because they know he doesn't have
- 26:34Speaker 2: the money, even though like this is where our system sucks.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean Glenn just says, how about the guy
- 26:40Speaker 1: that keeps stepping out in traffic?
- 26:42Speaker 2: That's what it was.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Why don't they lock him up?
- 26:45Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 26:45Speaker 1: I know that's that's the guy that was.
- 26:47Speaker 2: And instead they charge that poor kid with a who's
- 26:49Speaker 2: got a newborn and a young family. They charge that
- 26:51Speaker 2: kid and now he's got to fight to stay out
- 26:54Speaker 2: of jail or take.
- 26:55Speaker 1: A plea deal Jesus man, Like, do you.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Not understand how our system is rigged against poor people?
- 27:01Speaker 2: Against us?
- 27:03Speaker 1: Rex Thompson, if you're just joining us from Donning Brook
- 27:06Speaker 1: Fight Promotions, I understand that you have been involved in
- 27:12Speaker 1: some legal action related to your business. Now, before we
- 27:16Speaker 1: even get started, I just I want to just ask you,
- 27:24Speaker 1: is this something that you can share a little bit about?
- 27:30Speaker 1: And if you can't, that's fine.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Yeah, it is something I can. I can definitely talk about.
- 27:46Speaker 2: We had to file a civil suit in the Supreme
- 27:49Speaker 2: Court over in Saratoga. I won't get into too much
- 27:53Speaker 2: of the details, but essentially it it stems from a
- 27:58Speaker 2: business dispute and it involves investments we made over in
- 28:02Speaker 2: New York with another promotion and how they use those funds,
- 28:05Speaker 2: how the funds were used, and some concerns over our
- 28:09Speaker 2: own intellectual property.
- 28:11Speaker 1: What made you decide, Rex, that filing a lawsuit was
- 28:21Speaker 1: the right path to go about.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Well, honestly, it wasn't a decision we took lately. It
- 28:30Speaker 2: really wasn't. We tried to resolve everything directly with the
- 28:35Speaker 2: promoter over there, but in the end we felt it
- 28:39Speaker 2: the only way to protect ourselves, our brand was to
- 28:46Speaker 2: file for a formal complaint. It's about standing up for
- 28:51Speaker 2: the time, the money, and the work that we put
- 28:53Speaker 2: in to building our brand. And you know that's we
- 28:59Speaker 2: were force and that we tried every avenue to solve
- 29:03Speaker 2: this situation and then we got ignored.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Without getting into any specifics or naming names, what's what
- 29:15Speaker 1: was the what was the main issue at stake here?
- 29:20Speaker 2: Okay, well, you know, at the heart of it.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Again, if you can't talk about it, that's fine.
- 29:25Speaker 2: You no, no, you know, in the heart of it,
- 29:28Speaker 2: it was it was an investment. It was an invested
- 29:33Speaker 2: we we we invested resources into building up promotion in
- 29:37Speaker 2: New York. Okay, we believed that and we believed in
- 29:42Speaker 2: it at the time. Later we saw actions. Uh, in
- 29:49Speaker 2: our view, it undermined our investment, you know that, that
- 29:53Speaker 2: was my view, and potentially misused our brand and our identity.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Our lawsuit is really about making sure the record is clear,
- 30:05Speaker 2: that we get our voice out there, because I know
- 30:07Speaker 2: a lot of stuff has been said about us, and
- 30:10Speaker 2: we want to make that very clear. And it's about
- 30:12Speaker 2: protecting what we built, we took. I mean, we're on
- 30:15Speaker 2: Battle of Bury seventeen we built this and somebody else
- 30:21Speaker 2: we built. We built the brand and it was misused.
- 30:25Speaker 1: What do you think the outcomes going to be.
- 30:30Speaker 2: More than anything? Accountability and fairness. We'd like to see
- 30:36Speaker 2: our investment respected, our brand protected beyond the legal side.
- 30:43Speaker 2: We also hope it, uh you know, it encourages others
- 30:46Speaker 2: in the industry to value transparency, integrity and partnerships. You know,
- 30:53Speaker 2: there's so many shady people in this business, so you
- 30:58Speaker 2: have to be careful. You have to protect yourself, you
- 31:01Speaker 2: have to be transparent with everything, which we did. We
- 31:04Speaker 2: were very We definitely protected ourselves.
- 31:09Speaker 1: For people listening who might not know much about fight promotions,
- 31:17Speaker 1: and I've learned a lot from you about them just
- 31:22Speaker 1: in a couple of short years.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Why is.
- 31:27Speaker 1: Protecting intellectual property and investments so critical?
- 31:39Speaker 2: Aw, that's a great question, man. You know, a promotion
- 31:43Speaker 2: it isn't just about putting matches together. It's about building
- 31:48Speaker 2: your trust with your fighters, your coaches, your sponsors. There's
- 31:52Speaker 2: years of building that up. That's the behind the scenes
- 31:57Speaker 2: that nobody sees, the easy part. We see people all
- 32:00Speaker 2: the time trying to fight start promotions, but they don't
- 32:03Speaker 2: have those that trust in that system. If intellectual property
- 32:09Speaker 2: like logos, names or events concepts isn't respected. It undermines
- 32:15Speaker 2: the whole ecosystem. Protecting those things ensures the sport grows
- 32:20Speaker 2: in a fair and sustainable way.
- 32:25Speaker 1: It's but this has got to be tough when you're
- 32:30Speaker 1: trying to balance being in the middle of a lawsuit
- 32:36Speaker 1: and continuing to grow your promotion. I mean, you've got
- 32:43Speaker 1: an event coming up on September thirteenth.
- 32:46Speaker 2: This is huge.
- 32:47Speaker 1: This has got to be a pretty significant distraction. I
- 32:52Speaker 1: can only imagine.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it is definitely definitely a challenge, I'll just
- 33:02Speaker 2: say that. But we're staying focused. We're in Vermont, We're
- 33:06Speaker 2: putting on our show. Like I said, man, you can
- 33:09Speaker 2: lay down and just die, or you can keep moving
- 33:14Speaker 2: one foot forward at a time. You know, we've got
- 33:19Speaker 2: an upcoming event. We have great fighters, we have amazing
- 33:22Speaker 2: fans in Vermont and beyond. We have fans over in
- 33:25Speaker 2: New York, Maine, New Hampshire, we have them everywhere. So
- 33:29Speaker 2: that's where most of our energy is right now. We're
- 33:31Speaker 2: letting the legal system we just you know, like I said,
- 33:33Speaker 2: we filed one hundred and ninety page suits. It's with
- 33:38Speaker 2: the Saratoga Civil Court right now.
- 33:42Speaker 1: So, is there anything that you would want other small
- 33:48Speaker 1: business or promotion organizations businesses to learn or to know
- 33:58Speaker 1: from your experience? Absolutely, protecting your damn brand.
- 34:06Speaker 2: Trust your instincts. More than that. I don't care if
- 34:09Speaker 2: they're your best friend, I don't care. Document everything that'll
- 34:12Speaker 2: keep your friendship. Well, that's what we did. We kept everything,
- 34:16Speaker 2: every email, we had, every text message, we had the
- 34:19Speaker 2: original contracts, we had everything. We send it. You know,
- 34:22Speaker 2: like I said, the one hundred and ninety pages of
- 34:24Speaker 2: evidence that we had. You just you have to. You
- 34:30Speaker 2: have to protect yourself. So even if you think you're
- 34:35Speaker 2: going overboard or that's silly because I trust you, don't,
- 34:39Speaker 2: don't And you have to separate business from friendship when
- 34:42Speaker 2: you do that kind of stuff. So yeah, absolutely protect yourself.
- 34:46Speaker 2: I do this even in my own construction company and stuff.
- 34:49Speaker 2: If I have I am very very clear on my
- 34:51Speaker 2: invoices on exactly what we're doing. If you want me
- 34:54Speaker 2: to do something that's outside of the scope of that
- 34:56Speaker 2: work that we originally agreed upon, I send you a
- 34:59Speaker 2: text or I send you an email saying, hey, this
- 35:01Speaker 2: is what we're going to do. This is the extra
- 35:03Speaker 2: cost to it. Would you like us to proceed further?
- 35:05Speaker 2: Now I have it documented. I have that. If they
- 35:07Speaker 2: ever come in and they say, hey, I never wanted
- 35:10Speaker 2: you to do that, well, yes you did, so that's
- 35:12Speaker 2: what you know.
- 35:13Speaker 1: That's What about your past partnerships and relationships with other promoters?
- 35:22Speaker 2: Oh, that's a fair question. You've got many over the years.
- 35:27Speaker 2: We've worked with so many different people in the industry.
- 35:32Speaker 2: We've had some collaborations with some really positive people. We've
- 35:36Speaker 2: had some collaborations with some that turned out to be
- 35:39Speaker 2: a really negative, a real negative for us, and and
- 35:45Speaker 2: we we some of our partnerships showed us the value
- 35:52Speaker 2: of trust and teamwork. Others showed us how do I
- 35:57Speaker 2: want to say? It showed us kind of like what
- 36:02Speaker 2: people really were, who they really were. So we've had
- 36:09Speaker 2: good and bad experiences, just like any other. This is
- 36:13Speaker 2: this is the first time we've had to take legal action,
- 36:18Speaker 2: so mostly the majority of it, though, it has been
- 36:22Speaker 2: positive for us.
- 36:23Speaker 1: What what made you want to get involved with an
- 36:29Speaker 1: investment in a promotions company in New York in the
- 36:33Speaker 1: first place?
- 36:34Speaker 2: Though, I'm sorry, I'm getting a text message right now.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Can you please ask me that again?
- 36:48Speaker 1: What what made you want to get involved and get
- 36:54Speaker 1: started with a promotions company in New York?
- 37:02Speaker 2: Mmmm uh. When the opportunity in New York arose, it
- 37:20Speaker 2: just felt like a natural next step for our promotion
- 37:27Speaker 2: to expand that way. We had a ton of fans
- 37:29Speaker 2: out there already. It just it was it should have
- 37:34Speaker 2: been the next step, is what it was.
- 37:37Speaker 1: You were excited about that.
- 37:39Speaker 2: Yeah, looking back, you know, I don't know. I mm hmmm,
- 37:48Speaker 2: I don't know, man. Yeah, it's it was a business
- 37:54Speaker 2: decision and it wasn't taken lately. And that's why we
- 37:57Speaker 2: we covered a lot of things.
- 38:00Speaker 1: At the At the end of the day, this has
- 38:05Speaker 1: and you have always circled back to this. At the
- 38:09Speaker 1: end of the day, it's about your fighters. And I
- 38:15Speaker 1: say this, I've said this for years about drivers up
- 38:21Speaker 1: at thunder Road. At the end of the day, it
- 38:25Speaker 1: is about the drivers. It is about how much they
- 38:34Speaker 1: love their sport, how much they love doing what they do,
- 38:37Speaker 1: how much money they put into their cars, their crew teams,
- 38:42Speaker 1: their families support the money the time. That is that
- 38:48Speaker 1: passion is what drives everything else and is what will
- 38:52Speaker 1: bring the fans to the stands right And if you
- 38:56Speaker 1: don't have.
- 38:57Speaker 2: I mean, you don't have pretty straightforward yeah, with a
- 39:00Speaker 2: payment plan. I mean, we basically treated it as a loan,
- 39:04Speaker 2: but what they really wanted was support with branding, structure,
- 39:07Speaker 2: and growth. So instead of just saying here's the money,
- 39:10Speaker 2: pay us back, we leaned in with our experience, our resources.
- 39:16Speaker 2: We tried to build something together with them. At the time,
- 39:20Speaker 2: I felt like it was the right thing to do
- 39:21Speaker 2: for someone that we cared about. You know, we actually
- 39:24Speaker 2: cared about this guy. We considered him a friend, and
- 39:27Speaker 2: looking back, it was a big lesson in separating business
- 39:31Speaker 2: and friendship. That was a huge lesson for us. You know,
- 39:35Speaker 2: you always want to help everybody, but it's super super
- 39:38Speaker 2: important to make sure everything is clearly defined. And when
- 39:41Speaker 2: you talk about passion, Buck, I'll be straight with you, man,
- 39:45Speaker 2: I can get pretty passionate, as you know.
- 39:48Speaker 1: You know, we do, especially about these things.
- 39:50Speaker 2: And sometimes, man, I even get a little nervous with
- 39:54Speaker 2: stuff like this go sideways, I really do. I know.
- 39:58Speaker 2: I could be a lot sometimes I really can. Personally,
- 40:02Speaker 2: I can be a lot. But this isn't just about me.
- 40:04Speaker 2: It's not or my personality, you know, this is Taylor
- 40:09Speaker 2: was just as involved in this as anybody else. It's
- 40:13Speaker 2: involved in the whole process. I mean, we were both
- 40:17Speaker 2: making decisions together every step of the way. Yeah, and
- 40:20Speaker 2: that's important to point out. You know, it's not just
- 40:23Speaker 2: about me. People think that this is all about me,
- 40:25Speaker 2: and it's just not because it's not the case. We
- 40:30Speaker 2: have real concerns. This is not a personality thing. This
- 40:33Speaker 2: is real legal concerns about our intellectual property. It affected
- 40:38Speaker 2: my entire family, It affected my daughter. Through it all,
- 40:42Speaker 2: we've done our best to keep people in the loops
- 40:45Speaker 2: so that no one else ended up getting burned by
- 40:48Speaker 2: the situation in New York. At the end of the day,
- 40:50Speaker 2: it's it's not about pointing fingers. It's about protecting the fighters.
- 40:55Speaker 2: It's protecting our sponsors. It's the fans who trust us
- 40:59Speaker 2: to bring things the right way. Man. You know, we
- 41:02Speaker 2: have a certain set and we set that up. We
- 41:05Speaker 2: have a this is how we do it boom boom boom,
- 41:07Speaker 2: And you can you can watch them do it the
- 41:08Speaker 2: exact same way over there because they're using our whole
- 41:11Speaker 2: business model. Yeah. For okay, that like I can't I
- 41:16Speaker 2: don't want to get too much into it. How you
- 41:19Speaker 2: can follow, you can follow the case it's public knowledge
- 41:21Speaker 2: right in this Superior court in Saratoga Spring, So I understand. Yeah,
- 41:28Speaker 2: you know. And and the other reason is we have
- 41:32Speaker 2: we haven't gotten our side out. We've kept pretty quiet
- 41:35Speaker 2: about it on a whole. And trust me, we've heard
- 41:39Speaker 2: everything that's been said about us, every single thing. I've
- 41:44Speaker 2: heard it all. And luckily I have very big shoulders
- 41:47Speaker 2: right now, and we're going to let the courts handle this.
- 41:53Speaker 2: It's a pretty big deal right now.
- 41:55Speaker 1: I know, I know personally, and you've you have set
- 41:59Speaker 1: this again and I'll go back to this. You've said
- 42:02Speaker 1: this again so many times to me over the years
- 42:04Speaker 1: that I've known you.
- 42:06Speaker 2: Nope, Nope.
- 42:09Speaker 1: At the end of the day, it's about the fighters.
- 42:13Speaker 1: Protect the fighters. They're the ones that are shown up.
- 42:20Speaker 1: They're the ones that are training. Yep. They're the ones
- 42:24Speaker 1: that are putting all the heavy lifting and the working
- 42:26Speaker 1: into this so that they can bring their passion. They're
- 42:31Speaker 1: hard work into the cage.
- 42:35Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, don't get it wrong, We absolutely appreciate,
- 42:39Speaker 2: appreciate the fighters. Ifout the fighters, we don't have fights
- 42:42Speaker 2: without the fans. We don't have fights without the production crews.
- 42:45Speaker 2: We don't have fights. That's true without the money. It
- 42:47Speaker 2: works both ways. We appreciate that the pro fighters, sorry,
- 42:51Speaker 2: that's a job man, amateur fighters, they don't get paid
- 42:54Speaker 2: to do that job. So, but we're on the same note.
- 42:57Speaker 2: We're also giving them a platform fight on so that
- 43:01Speaker 2: they can they can build their records up. Without having
- 43:03Speaker 2: a platform to fight on, you could be the best
- 43:05Speaker 2: fighter in the world and nobody knows who you are. Yeah. So,
- 43:11Speaker 2: but it's you know what I mean, It's just we
- 43:15Speaker 2: put a lot into those people. We we trusted those people,
- 43:21Speaker 2: but we absolutely covered ourselves too. We're very transparent. You
- 43:25Speaker 2: know me, man, I have nothing to hide. I don't
- 43:28Speaker 2: say anything in a d M or a text message
- 43:32Speaker 2: or behind anybody's back that I will not say right
- 43:34Speaker 2: directly to anybody's face. I don't. So they have their
- 43:40Speaker 2: own things going on over there, and that's on them.
- 43:45Speaker 2: We just my daughter's been working really hard. It's been
- 43:49Speaker 2: a lot of sleepless nights because that took that. There
- 43:53Speaker 2: was a lot of money involved, So that absolutely affected
- 43:57Speaker 2: our shows over here.
- 44:01Speaker 1: So wisdom, wisdom, wisdom can come at a big price, tack. Yeah,
- 44:13Speaker 1: but once you have it, once.
- 44:16Speaker 2: You've learned, it'll just cause stress you've gone through experience
- 44:20Speaker 2: and you've learned. Just cause stress anxiety level max all
- 44:25Speaker 2: the time. I just want to be dumb and living bliss.
- 44:28Speaker 2: I just be the happiest person. I want to be
- 44:32Speaker 2: that guy with the world is blowing up around you
- 44:33Speaker 2: and you're just fucking smiling walking down the road. I wish,
- 44:37Speaker 2: but I hate having a bunch of knowledge in my brain.
- 44:41Speaker 2: I just hate it. There's too much stuff to think about,
- 44:47Speaker 2: like this, did you see I brought my brought my
- 44:51Speaker 2: wife to the job site and.
- 44:52Speaker 1: Ship there saw that I did.
- 44:55Speaker 2: That was a rough day, but you know what we're
- 44:58Speaker 2: it's been so I got you know, with my injury here,
- 45:01Speaker 2: it's I can't lift weights. I can't even lift a pound.
- 45:04Speaker 2: For like six months, I had just downsized my construction
- 45:09Speaker 2: company and I started working on a crew with my
- 45:12Speaker 2: son and stuff. And it was right at that point
- 45:15Speaker 2: I got injured. And so that was a huge frustrating
- 45:20Speaker 2: set back there. So my wife and my daughter, my
- 45:24Speaker 2: daughter in law, we brought the whole family on board.
- 45:26Speaker 2: So we've been up at the house that we've been building.
- 45:28Speaker 2: My daughter and my wife are learning to tape, they're
- 45:31Speaker 2: learning to paint, they've been a huge, huge help. And
- 45:34Speaker 2: it's a it's not so much even that they don't
- 45:37Speaker 2: know anything, it's just having them there, having that support
- 45:40Speaker 2: right to fucking it's instead of trying to dig out
- 45:45Speaker 2: of this hole, this black hole. And I'm not just
- 45:46Speaker 2: talking about debt or not talking about but just that
- 45:51Speaker 2: that dark hole. Having that support with you, you're not doing
- 45:54Speaker 2: it alone.
- 45:55Speaker 1: House Hunter in his hand.
- 45:58Speaker 2: He's supposed to be wearing a brat, but he's a
- 46:00Speaker 2: dumbass like I am. Well, yeah, but we do, you know,
- 46:06Speaker 2: And so that's what we do. Whatever we can do.
- 46:07Speaker 2: We still move forward, like I was putting the kitchen cabinets.
- 46:10Speaker 1: In and but you do. I saw the video the
- 46:14Speaker 1: other day. You're moving this arm around a lot, but.
- 46:16Speaker 2: It fucking hurts. By about eleven noon, that's all I
- 46:19Speaker 2: got in me, and it hurts like a bastard. Listen,
- 46:24Speaker 2: as I said, your physical therapist is watching this morning.
- 46:28Speaker 2: So please, I mean slow. You don't have a choice
- 46:32Speaker 2: when you're you know, I understand that, but you're self employed.
- 46:35Speaker 2: You don't slow down. Bill collectors ain't slowing down.
- 46:38Speaker 1: I understand that.
- 46:39Speaker 2: I understand they don't even care.
- 46:41Speaker 1: But you don't want to have surgery again.
- 46:44Speaker 2: But so that's the conundrum, that's the balance when you're
- 46:47Speaker 2: self employed. Yeah, no, I don't want to have surgery. No,
- 46:49Speaker 2: I don't want to get hurt. But yes I have
- 46:51Speaker 2: to do work. I don't I don't have a choice.
- 46:54Speaker 2: Your family has stepped up. Yeah, that's yeah, Just go easy, Okay,
- 47:01Speaker 2: Brenda's not lugging a piece ofpply what up onto a
- 47:03Speaker 2: roof for me though? Jesus my god, she's my biggest cheerleader.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Should we run down some of the headlines? Yeah, this morning,
- 47:16Speaker 1: I'll just run them down and then I'll.
- 47:18Speaker 2: Say how much closer we are to civil war today?
- 47:21Speaker 1: Yeah, let's see. Let's see. FBI searches home of former
- 47:24Speaker 1: Trump national security advisor John Fulton in classified classified documents probe.
- 47:31Speaker 2: You're fucking kidding, may Nope.
- 47:33Speaker 1: It's breaking news right now, these guys. We have three
- 47:38Speaker 1: people arrested following the shooting in Hartford, Vermont. Yeah, have
- 47:46Speaker 1: you seen the people?
- 47:48Speaker 2: No, they hadn't released the names yet this morning, but oh.
- 47:50Speaker 1: They got there. Oh no, they're released perfect, and then
- 47:54Speaker 1: the police shoot them. Demetrius Drew thirty years old. Where's
- 47:59Speaker 1: he from? Springfield?
- 48:01Speaker 2: Math?
- 48:01Speaker 1: You're close New Haven, the next closest armpit in Connecticut,
- 48:12Speaker 1: charged with first degree murder, attempted second degree murder, and
- 48:15Speaker 1: aggravated assault with the deadly weapon. Next we have Jeffrey
- 48:19Speaker 1: Mullins who's forty six, and Michelle Mullins forty eight from
- 48:24Speaker 1: New Hampshire accessory before the fact. So there you go.
- 48:30Speaker 1: So you ever see David David l Lebrecu, sixty five
- 48:37Speaker 1: year old guy from Canaan, New Hampshire. He was the
- 48:39Speaker 1: one that was killed, pronounced dead at the scene. Do
- 48:43Speaker 1: you think there's a possibility that this could involve drugs?
- 48:46Speaker 2: No way, Okay, I just wanted to No way, absolutely
- 48:49Speaker 2: not wanted to ask. No, I don't see it there, Okay,
- 48:55Speaker 2: no connection whatsoever. All Right, I'll pretend I'm a Trump
- 48:59Speaker 2: supporter and and and that that was something bad against Trump. Okay, No,
- 49:05Speaker 2: I'm going to stop. I'm sorry.
- 49:07Speaker 1: Did you see the Did you see the comments from
- 49:09Speaker 1: the lady that went off on me week before last
- 49:14Speaker 1: because I shared the w I think it was w
- 49:17Speaker 1: C A X could have been PTZ story about UH
- 49:23Speaker 1: Governor Scott having state employees come back to the office. Okay,
- 49:29Speaker 1: and she started coming after me. Maybe she thought that
- 49:32Speaker 1: I wrote the article. I don't know, but.
- 49:36Speaker 2: Why would why would you get mad at reporting news,
- 49:39Speaker 2: reporting something anyway?
- 49:41Speaker 1: That I was deceiving people bye bye by sharing that story?
- 49:48Speaker 2: Why is it? Okay? Okay? I don't understand what was deceitful?
- 49:52Speaker 2: I don't know. People are fucking weird, just weird. I know, man,
- 50:00Speaker 2: what is going on? I know what else is happening.
- 50:04Speaker 2: Let's see.
- 50:06Speaker 1: A judge is halting the new detentions. Yeah at alligator
- 50:13Speaker 1: Alcatraz Yep, no more, We're full.
- 50:18Speaker 2: Oh. They also told them they had to take down
- 50:19Speaker 2: what did they tell them that they had to take down?
- 50:21Speaker 2: The fen saying they had to take down the generators
- 50:24Speaker 2: basically disassemble it.
- 50:26Speaker 1: Yep, yeah, a lot.
- 50:30Speaker 2: I don't know, man. So I was once told that
- 50:32Speaker 2: you'll know you have a tyrannical government when federal troops
- 50:35Speaker 2: are marching on the streets.
- 50:38Speaker 1: Florida immediately filed a notice of appeal. I wonder if
- 50:43Speaker 1: the ruling's going to stand.
- 50:46Speaker 2: Nineteen seventy nine. Mit protected that by two thousand and
- 50:51Speaker 2: thirty there'll be a societal and economic collapse in civil war.
- 50:56Speaker 2: And we've hit every single marker. We just finished the migration,
- 51:01Speaker 2: all the Red states have propped up, all the Blue
- 51:03Speaker 2: states have propped up, and now we're playing tit for
- 51:05Speaker 2: tat on the jerrymandering. So the problem that I have
- 51:08Speaker 2: with the jerrymandering thing is the Red States. The last
- 51:12Speaker 2: state that was left that they could jerrymander was Texas.
- 51:16Speaker 2: So the Red states have already jerrymandered every portion that
- 51:19Speaker 2: they can. So now what they've done and now so
- 51:24Speaker 2: now Texas was the last I don't remember how many
- 51:26Speaker 2: seats they've picked up. Four they'll pick up four or
- 51:28Speaker 2: five seats, I think is what they'll do. But once
- 51:31Speaker 2: California redistricts, they'll pick up another nine seats, so they'll
- 51:34Speaker 2: be back down that five. But then you have Illinois, Michigan,
- 51:37Speaker 2: New York that all have room to jerrymander, and they'll
- 51:40Speaker 2: get They could absolutely make it so that there would
- 51:45Speaker 2: never be a GOP majority in the House ever again,
- 51:49Speaker 2: And that's pathetic. I just were I guess what people
- 51:52Speaker 2: don't understand is if one party can go to the extreme,
- 51:55Speaker 2: the other party can go to the extreme. So when
- 51:59Speaker 2: they say, oh, that's just fear mongering, it's not fear mongering.
- 52:02Speaker 2: It's you have to think about what is the extreme?
- 52:04Speaker 2: So if Trump can do this with federal troops, what
- 52:08Speaker 2: could someone like Biden do with what could gavinor Newsen do?
- 52:11Speaker 2: Now that he's in control of the federal government, we
- 52:13Speaker 2: no longer have separation of powers. So if if Trump
- 52:18Speaker 2: calls a dog, they do whatever he tells them to do.
- 52:20Speaker 2: What happens if Governor Newsom gets in there? What is
- 52:24Speaker 2: he going to do with that same exact power that
- 52:26Speaker 2: we just gave to Trump? Do people not realize that
- 52:29Speaker 2: that that? And so you have this whole swath of
- 52:32Speaker 2: people pointing and laughing, going aha, fucking shut your mouth,
- 52:36Speaker 2: just keep quiet. I don't know when the last time
- 52:38Speaker 2: Americans ever kept their mouth shut, But now they want
- 52:40Speaker 2: you to just like, hey, just be cool, shut your mouth. Well,
- 52:44Speaker 2: they're not going to. And then you have to look
- 52:46Speaker 2: at the flip side. So if you have Trump going
- 52:51Speaker 2: over the going after these certain rights, what's gonna stop
- 52:54Speaker 2: a democratic president going after all these other rights? There's
- 52:58Speaker 2: no more checks and balances. And if they start, if
- 53:01Speaker 2: they jerrymander every state, then why vote anymore? I really
- 53:06Speaker 2: believe that we're I think by twenty thirty where you'll
- 53:10Speaker 2: see a civil war.
- 53:11Speaker 1: Again, did you hear about the prison in North Florida
- 53:17Speaker 1: which is vacant. I can't remember the exact town it is,
- 53:21Speaker 1: but Desantish wants to turn it into deportation depot. You
- 53:29Speaker 1: know why we have Alligator Alcatraz and now deportation depot.
- 53:35Speaker 2: You know why?
- 53:36Speaker 1: What do you think this is going to mean for
- 53:38Speaker 1: the other projects that are underway?
- 53:40Speaker 2: Listen to this. This is so funny because we've just
- 53:44Speaker 2: sat here alls they're doing. Both sides are doing the
- 53:47Speaker 2: same exact thing, deportation. Listen, deepot, listen to this though.
- 53:54Speaker 2: We so the left made a whole bunch of made
- 53:57Speaker 2: a whole bunch of hotels into homeless, into homeless places
- 54:01Speaker 2: for homeless people. Right, Why did they do that? Billions
- 54:04Speaker 2: of dollars in federal funds. Well, now they took the
- 54:07Speaker 2: federal funds out of there and they said, well, let's
- 54:09Speaker 2: give you We'll get Hey Florida, we'll give you billions
- 54:12Speaker 2: of federal funds if you build these, Hey El Salvador,
- 54:15Speaker 2: we'll give you billions of funds. So we never saved
- 54:18Speaker 2: any money. We just moved it from one spot to
- 54:21Speaker 2: spending to the other spot. We're gonna take it away
- 54:24Speaker 2: from the social programs and want to put it into
- 54:25Speaker 2: the law enforcement programs, the military, defense spending. And we're
- 54:29Speaker 2: not gonna fucking lower a goddamn thing. We're gonna keep
- 54:32Speaker 2: our spending rate the same. We're just gonna do it
- 54:34Speaker 2: to the programs we like. And how does not everybody
- 54:36Speaker 2: see that? Bulls? Yet? Do you think you think Dessante's
- 54:40Speaker 2: is doing it for free? Like, hey, I should be here,
- 54:43Speaker 2: you know what, I'm gonna build these things? No he's not.
- 54:45Speaker 2: He's not building it with Florida taxpayer money. He's building
- 54:49Speaker 2: it with federal funds. So it all depends on where
- 54:55Speaker 2: you want your federal funds whatever, helping US citizens or
- 54:59Speaker 2: fucking ca aging US citizens? God whatever?
- 55:05Speaker 1: You think the uh, the FED is going to bow
- 55:10Speaker 1: to pressure from the Trump administration.
- 55:14Speaker 2: You do. Everybody's bowing down to him. He runs it
- 55:18Speaker 2: like the mafia. And that's the problem. I mean, you
- 55:21Speaker 2: have to see it, like, what's going to happen? What
- 55:24Speaker 2: is going to happen if a democratic president someone like
- 55:27Speaker 2: Newsom gets in there and has that same exact power.
- 55:30Speaker 1: Any downside to lowering rates and allowing the economy to
- 55:34Speaker 1: UH to.
- 55:35Speaker 2: See inflation run and crash, and we will have an
- 55:39Speaker 2: economic we will it'll. I mean he's trying to avoid
- 55:44Speaker 2: avoid a recession and lowering the rates is not doing
- 55:50Speaker 2: that that actually sends you into a recession even quicker.
- 55:55Speaker 2: Even the markets, the markets right now, everything with the
- 55:57Speaker 2: markets going on. Craig McDermott that he had a perfect explanation.
- 56:02Speaker 2: I mean, it's it. We align right now with the
- 56:04Speaker 2: nineteen twenty nine crash. We are the exact same spot,
- 56:09Speaker 2: except for this further her head. I've heard that. That's
- 56:12Speaker 2: why it aligns with it. It says by twenty twenty.
- 56:15Speaker 2: It says by twenty twenty nine will have another depression.
- 56:20Speaker 2: And that's exactly what the MIT model. Get your chickens,
- 56:27Speaker 2: Get your chickens, get your chickens, get your bunnies. Start low, Namo.
- 56:33Speaker 1: What do you what do you think of?
- 56:36Speaker 2: What do you think of jd Vance trolling Trump? Do
- 56:39Speaker 2: you think that jd Vance is trying to get his job?
- 56:43Speaker 2: Did you see what he did? He's been trolling Trump
- 56:46Speaker 2: about the Weinstein I mean the Epstein birthday card.
- 56:53Speaker 1: Please tell I don't know so jd Vance.
- 56:55Speaker 2: What he did was they've been sending ruper Murdoch owns
- 57:00Speaker 2: the Wall Street Journal, and so Rupert Murdoch has been
- 57:05Speaker 2: fucking with Trump. Him and Trump have been like bashing,
- 57:07Speaker 2: but he can't bash him on Fox News, so he's
- 57:10Speaker 2: been doing it through the Wall Street Journal. And he's
- 57:12Speaker 2: the one that published the that Trump sent that birthday
- 57:16Speaker 2: letter in to Epstein and Trump's like, I never sent
- 57:18Speaker 2: a letter. I can't even read write. So so anyway, JD.
- 57:24Speaker 2: Vance gets on to his truth social and he's like,
- 57:27Speaker 2: this is horrible. Who can publish a story? We need
- 57:31Speaker 2: to see the letter, like you need to because he
- 57:35Speaker 2: knows that Rupert Murdoch has the letter, and so he's
- 57:39Speaker 2: making it out like nah. So JD Vance is like,
- 57:44Speaker 2: let's see the letter. And I don't think Trump wants
- 57:48Speaker 2: the letter out there. I see like JD. Van's doing
- 57:52Speaker 2: like dirty shit, low handed and then behind Trump's back
- 57:57Speaker 2: like that, and I don't think Trump is catching on.
- 58:01Speaker 1: What do you think about? And this has really got
- 58:06Speaker 1: everybody worked up, And I hope you're taking your blood
- 58:09Speaker 1: pressure medication this week because this has got everybody just
- 58:13Speaker 1: really going.
- 58:14Speaker 2: Cracker barrel, cracker barrel, what's going on? Cracker barrel?
- 58:18Speaker 1: They're changing their logo. They're removing the barrel and the
- 58:24Speaker 1: white guy the man from its logo, the one and
- 58:28Speaker 1: the way.
- 58:29Speaker 2: They're gonna call it white barrel now white man in barrel.
- 58:35Speaker 1: The one on the left is the one that we
- 58:37Speaker 1: all know. The one on the right is going to
- 58:39Speaker 1: be the new one. And this should Trump ask them
- 58:42Speaker 1: to change the NAD don't know.
- 58:44Speaker 2: I don't know. Whatever man, that's a I mean, but
- 58:48Speaker 2: I look at that. That's a that's their business decision.
- 58:51Speaker 2: They're a private business. Whatever Will. It's either gonna help
- 58:54Speaker 2: them or it's gonna go away. What Will. Either way,
- 58:56Speaker 2: it's it's causing a stir. People are talking about cracker barrel.
- 58:59Speaker 2: Will White has an in.
- 59:03Speaker 1: I don't know, some crazy He's got an unbelievable observation
- 59:08Speaker 1: here that it's missed all of us, he says, and
- 59:12Speaker 1: I'm quoting here, and this is beautiful. That dude is yellow.
- 59:18Speaker 2: Will. Oh yeah, he's not even a crack as. He's
- 59:23Speaker 2: not even white. He's yellow. Huh.
- 59:30Speaker 1: I don't think any of us realized.
- 59:32Speaker 2: I just, I mean, just look at that, that simple thing.
- 59:35Speaker 2: A business has decided on its own to change its logo, rebrand,
- 59:40Speaker 2: maybe change his name. And rebrand and look at the
- 59:45Speaker 2: people get upset over that.
- 59:46Speaker 1: Well, just apparently apparently people have been criticizing Cracker Barrel
- 59:51Speaker 1: Now for a long time, and they say they need
- 59:55Speaker 1: to come up with them more.
- 59:56Speaker 2: Yeah, because the last time I went to Cracker barrel
- 59:59Speaker 2: Is it was almost dead inside of there. I went
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: down South, So they have to do something. Maybe this
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: will work for them, maybe it won't. Who knows. I
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: don't know that it's a great marketing strategy because most
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: of their places are down south. True, so you try
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: to market to the people in your demographic. I mean,
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: changing the name up here in Vermont might work well
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: for business. I don't know that in Alabama, Georgia, South
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: Carolina it's gonna make that much. It's probably gonna go
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: the opposite way.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: Remember when Coke created New Coke.
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: I'm just asking, didn't that killed the business when they
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: almost they.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: Took a bank, They took a hit, it took it.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: I mean, change is always risky.
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: One, but why are we upset about it? And we're
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: upset about it Rex, this is something that's I'm outraged
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: to now. Fuck it, I outraged, horrible.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: I don't want the rest of your day to be
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: ruined or affected negatively because of cracker barrel wrecks. Just
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: pull yourself.
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: He ruin me, ruin me like a small white man
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: on his first day in prison. You ruin me?
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: What else do we have?
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: I'm just glancing here, something else to get me going.
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: The New York appeals we got locally going on. I
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: hate that. I like this shit.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: Oh, hold on the big one, the New York Kpeals
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: Court yesterday.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: Yeah, they told me he didn't have to pay the fine.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: Now it is a ridiculous fine.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: I'm five hundred and twenty seven million dollars.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: Yeah, and then they'll bring it back, they'll bring it
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: down to a reasonable and he'll still be a fellon.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: He'll still have to pay a fine. He just won't
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: have to pay the five hundred million. That's the nice
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: thing about now, you know, not having separation of powers anymore,
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: he could do whatever he wants. Sure. Yeah.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: Last night, Hey, Jasmin White's tuned in.
