- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Texanville Jaguar's fans, welcome into Duval.
- 0:02[SPEAKER_00]: Daily, presented by Jinjak.com.
- 0:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Lugo.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks so much for being here Monday, June 1st.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: Just got back from Jaguar's OTA number four.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: Going to react to everything I saw out there today.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_00]: It was about a two hour practice from 9 to 11.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_00]: This was the second practice that media has been permitted to attend so far of OTAs.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_00]: There was rookie mini camp, one practice, and then OTA number one last Tuesday.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: OTA.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: number four today.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: So, excited to get into it.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: It was a fun day out there, not too hot, which was all very nice, you know, had some cloud cover this morning.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: So, we'll get into it.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate you being here.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: You can also hit that high button.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll just check out Jinjak.com.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_00]: Pick up some new Duval gear.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_00]: really appreciate y'all support means a world so getting into this uh we've got no just like notes on like who's there who's not practicing different things like that then we'll talk about Trevor Lawrence's performance in the 7 on 7 and 11 on 11 and some other just stand out moments in performers so Josh Heinz Allen was out there I believe he
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: He wasn't there for OTA number one.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think he got back last week and was practicing with the team last week, but I hadn't seen that with my own two eyes, but did see him out there today, which was always good to see Josh Heinz Allen.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: He's just one of the best.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_00]: One of the most important players on the team, Barnaut and one of the most important positions, did see Travis Hunter and Teele once again, which meant he was with the wide receivers today.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: Basically the same exact sort of thing we saw last week where no helmet for him, but he was catching some passes from the quarterbacks, and then he was getting in there in the huddle, reacting to the play call, and then going off to the side and kind of...
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: mentally working through what he would be doing on a given play, basically the whole entire practice.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_00]: So that was really, it's just cool to see his effort, energy and enthusiasm, you know, even though he's not able to really practice yet.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: Player who did practice, that we hadn't seen yet, which again, we were not there for OTA-2 and OTA-3.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: But Josh Cameron did not practice in OTA-1.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: He had a pre-existing injury when the Jaguars drafted him.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: He was practicing today, the wide receiver, who is really, you know, just, I mean, he's a massive receiver.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: Not the tallest, but he's like 220 pounds, six foot two, something like that.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: And his presence was felt, he made some plays.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing too crazy, but you saw him out there, working which was great.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: A couple guys, Nate Borkerture was not practicing in this one.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_00]: He was working off to the side.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: I saw Colvin land and working off to the side.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan Lewis working off to the side.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: And Chris Rodriguez as well, still not practicing.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: Don't know exactly what's up there.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_00]: A couple notes.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_00]: backed up to the goal line on offense.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: They worked on that a good bit today, and with 11 on 11, again, no pad, so there's no real hitting and things of that nature, but back up to the goal line, they worked on that for multiple periods.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: They also had a walk-through period, but it was like end of half, end of game, trying to manage that properly.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: And the only real,
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: You know, mental mistake from a pre-snaps standpoint, there was one offensive pre-snaps penalty.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_00]: That's the first one we've seen through two practices.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: And that was something the Jaguars dealt with a lot early in the season last year, dealt with throughout the off-season and training camp.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: So only one today, none the first time we were out there.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: So it seems like they're doing a good job on that front.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: And they should be in a better spot.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_00]: Like, this offense has been together now for the most part, at pretty much every spot.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: when you talk about offensive line quarterback receivers, so they should be in a good place, and I think that they are, and that leads us to Trevor Lawrence in 7 on 7 and 11 on 11 today, he was 18 of 23, and when it comes to evaluating performances here at OTAs, you want to see players look good.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: you want to see them look like they're performing at a high level.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: You can't extrapolate that and say that that means they'll perform the same way when it comes to full pads and training camp or that it'll look the same way when it comes to the regular season.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_00]: But you would rather see them look good than not look good.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: I think overall Trevor Lawrence is looking very good.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: One thing I will say is it's the second practice that we've been to and we did see another interception on a deep shot.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: Intercepted by Buster Brown targeting Parker Washington deep down the field to me.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: It was a severely underthrowed football.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_00]: That's just my vantage point, my opinion on it.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: Outside of that, I think Trevor Lawrence was almost perfect.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: He had probably one pass that got away from him just a little bit.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: And that was also to Parker Washington.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_00]: But,
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: You know, for the one in our section he had, he had three would be touchdowns, like nice throws down the field, right, two of them were to Brian Thomas Jr., which you love to see.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_00]: We are always looking for that connection between Trevor Lawrence and Brian Thomas Jr., it was strong today.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_00]: And despite there being a couple of miscues with the Trevor Lawrence, so the Parker Washington connection, it was also still pretty darn strong today.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: Parker Washington,
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: made some really good plays.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, that was the, so the deep shot was to Parker, and then he missed Parker on a throw, and then Parker Washington had one drop.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: So there was a little bit, but he still made plays.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: Still made multiple contested catches.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: Still looked really good in my opinion.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think there's anything to worry about there with the chemistry between Trevor and Parker, but just a day where there was a couple little miscues here and there.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: You had to, I mentioned Nate Borgerture not practicing with the team, so Tanner Koziel.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: He was able to get out there and make a couple plays as a passcatcher in this one, catching passes from Trevor Lawrence, had a nice catch up the scene where he was able to go up and get the football and another pretty easy one sitting down in his own for a first-down.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: mentioned Trevor to BTJ so there was one play where it was an incompletion and it was a deep shot and Buster Brown basically just rerouted and not just completely disrupted the flow of the route and so it was really not ever going to be a situation that was probably going to be completed but Trevor tried it anyways and that's another thing you have to understand and evaluate Trevor Lawrence quarterback and a lot of other positions
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: They will try things in practice that they would not try in the game to try to see where they're at to see, can I do this in the game?
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: And if it's not working, if they try multiple times, time to move on and kind of scrap that for now, sort of situation.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: Beyond BTJ, Parker Washington, Tanner Koziel, Jacobi Myers had a very good day.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: I mentioned he had a drop the other day when we were out there.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: He did not drop anything.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: His hands looked incredibly strong.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: He was consistently getting open.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: Just so many completions to him.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: Austin Tramel, who is kind of like a practice superstar.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like he's,
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: out there making place.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, what he continues to do, you saw Jarian Jones had a passenger appearance in my, they didn't throw the flag.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: There are refs out there that did not throw the flag.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: But I was standing like perfect view of it.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: Jarian Jones had a passenger appearance that should have been called probably but overall had a pretty good day.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: Again, Trevor Lawrence, 18 of 23, I would say three deep shot touchdowns, one interception, overall, I think you would take that every single day, continue to stack and try to limit the interceptions, both of them have been on kind of bombs down the field so far, so that's where you're out with Trevor.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think he looks calm, boys collected all that stuff, but
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: Just a couple of interceptions and one missed throw really here today.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: Um, looking at the rest of the players that kind of made plays or stood out, Branson Combs, he's been balling, man.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: This guy, he played really well throughout, and he's a un-drafted free agent line-backer from last season, played really well throughout the off season and training camp last year.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: that's continued into this camp.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars have been publicly, you know, very high on him and talked, you know, it's kind of sung his praises, if you will.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: And so he's somebody that's making plays, but Jaguars are making plays too.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_00]: He had a nice pass break up.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: and coverage today.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I got to remind you all about underdog fantasy.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_00]: The finals are getting going here this week.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: And somebody's going to be quietly locking it up all series long getting the steals.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: Underdog's got a million dollars for whoever calls it right.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: One million dollars sitting in a pot all you have to do is pick the player who walks away with the most steals in the series.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: Your picks.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: They don't even need to win.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: Just back the right thief.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: Make picks win
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: your player every game, include the steel stat, series ends, steel's leader crowned, pot gets split among everyone who called it right.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: The more finals game, you back them, the bigger you share, it's less prediction, more just a vibe, trust yours.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: If you get your picks right, you could win up to 5,000 times your cash and with the steel pot, even your losing picks can pay out.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: pretty awesome stuff.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: This week obviously we're looking at this steel stat.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: I'm looking at Wimbie.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's going to get the job done.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: Let me know who you're looking at in the comment section below.

- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: You're supporting us.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: Nick Mullins, he had a really nice completion to Tim Jones, could not believe Christian Braswell didn't deflect, and it looked like he was in perfect position, and then Christian Braswell couldn't believe he didn't deflect it either, because after the play, he kind of put his hands on his head and was like, oh my gosh, but yeah, nice completion.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think probably seven, eight times out of ten, that's probably a pass break up.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_00]: Um, Quentin Morris had a great catch and double coverage, one, one play, kind of seem ball.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: He just couldn't adjust properly to the football.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_00]: It ended up going through his hands from Trevor.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: I thought that that was like the one play I've seen from Quentin Morris as a receiver throughout his time here where it really didn't look like he was like,
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: locked in or ready to make that play, but I'll give him a pass for that unless it becomes like a repeated issue.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: Overall, Quentin Morris has impressed the heck out of me during his time here in Jacksonville.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_00]: Jalen Husky, he had multiple pass breakups, had a pass breakup on a scrambled drill, and then almost had a pick, latent practice, deep down the field, had his second pass breakup the day.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: So good to see Jalen Husky out there, making plays, Jaguar's third round pick, safety,
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: I saw Rick Aurora row, he would have had a would be tackle for loss, I believe, I'm one of those gold line drills.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_00]: They had gotten the ball out a little bit, but it wouldn't be around the three yard line on like a second down play.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_00]: Jabarmohamed, second practice, we've seen from him where he made a great play, great leaping past break up, and this one, Jabarmohamed is a corner out of Oregon, last year, smaller guy.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_00]: I thought if he was a little bit bigger, he probably would have been drafted pretty highly.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a huge fan of his game.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_00]: Also a huge fan of Devin Marshall, who was able to get a passport up in this when he's an undrafted free agent this year, out of NC State, thought both of those corners in subsequent years could have been drafted or should have been drafted and they weren't due to various, you know, for Mohammedans really about the size, for Marshall, it was really about the testing, but I think that they're both really good players.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: CJ Williams.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: Later on, pick for the Jaguars this year, why do you see Rattis Stanford?
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: He continues to play really good ball, make catches, catch everything that's thrown his way, and get open.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: So that's somebody to keep an eye on.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_00]: I definitely think you're gonna be hard-pressed for him to not be on the roster this year.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: Danny Striggow had a would-be sack on a Nick Mullin rollout, Trevor Pena.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: On drive-for-age and why do you see Rattis Penn State had a nice run?
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: Is he at a Penn State?
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe Wisconsin?
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: I gotta look that up.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like questioning myself now, let's see.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, he did finish up in state.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I was correct about that.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so yeah, Trevor Pena had a nice run as a wider silver.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_00]: So that should tell you something.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: Jamari Taylor, bashed two in Anne Lee Quint Allen, difficult to evaluate, you know, when you're not actually tackling, but it looked like based on the way things were blocked up a little bit which again, it's a value, difficult to evaluate blocking when it's not live.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_00]: full-go with pads and everything, but based on what we saw, there was several nice runs.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_00]: Jemari Taylor, Basel-Tooten, and even Lee Kuan-Al, and getting some nice work done, did want to shout out, void the undrafted fridge and wide receiver, it was number 49, pretty well, to see a wide receiver weighing 49, but he had a nice catch and run in this one.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: And that'll do it.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_00]: Overall, solid practice for the Jaguars competitive back and forth,
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's still though, just so early, but I think it's one of those practices you can build off of.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_00]: For sure.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: We will react to Liam Cohen, Anthony Camponele and Trayvon Walker's press conferences, a little bit later on either today or first thing in the morning tomorrow.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: But again, that'll do it here.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all being here.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_00]: Tune in and supporting the channel.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: I love talking Jacks football with you.
