- 0:24Speaker 4: I want to chest out comedy to her.
- 0:26Speaker 5: Man.
- 0:26Speaker 4: This is what it is. Man.
- 0:27Speaker 1: How you doing, sir?
- 0:28Speaker 6: I'm amazing right now. You know, I'm loving life. I'm excited.
- 0:32Speaker 6: You know, just been on tour. I just shot my
- 0:34Speaker 6: uh my set up comedy film. Got my show Family
- 0:38Speaker 6: Business New Orleans coming out in December, and you know,
- 0:41Speaker 6: the Super Bowls in New Orleans.
- 0:43Speaker 4: So God is moving. I'm excited.
- 0:45Speaker 5: Yeah, you're out here working man. Now, I saw you
- 0:48Speaker 5: shawing me off, you know off camera. Yeah, you know
- 0:52Speaker 5: your your your special that that you're putting together. Man,
- 0:55Speaker 5: it looks really good, looks really dope, and it looks
- 0:57Speaker 5: like you put a lot of money.
- 0:58Speaker 6: Into it, you know for sure, you know, I know
- 1:01Speaker 6: it's like this, And I was I was telling I
- 1:03Speaker 6: was just telling BT. I was like, look like a
- 1:05Speaker 6: lot of us complain about the problem and it's like
- 1:09Speaker 6: the solutions to everything. When I was watching the problem
- 1:12Speaker 6: being the problem being. For example, the Shashay interview, right
- 1:15Speaker 6: when Cat Williams was like, you know, talking about you know,
- 1:17Speaker 6: Brandony Jackson, he wore dress. You know, he's an Illuminati there.
- 1:20Speaker 6: I'm like, listen, Cats, I'm not in Illuminati at all,
- 1:23Speaker 6: but my agent is.
- 1:30Speaker 4: Get me rolled so good. I'm like, do I got
- 1:31Speaker 4: to suck a think for this?
- 1:32Speaker 6: He was like, Nope, we already did that for you.
- 1:36Speaker 4: Call Times at eight. No.
- 1:38Speaker 6: But I say that because I have to joke about
- 1:41Speaker 6: a lot of the trauma, because that's where we get
- 1:43Speaker 6: our jokes from, you know what I mean When it
- 1:44Speaker 6: comes down to people asking me, you know where I've been,
- 1:47Speaker 6: You know what I mean?
- 1:48Speaker 4: And where have you been working? You know, you know
- 1:52Speaker 4: I've been working. To let me tell you why I
- 1:54Speaker 4: took a break in the first place.
- 1:55Speaker 6: I was taking a break to help build the black
- 1:57Speaker 6: community and all other communities and making sure that we
- 2:01Speaker 6: can actually have our own sustainable situations. Like it was
- 2:05Speaker 6: real and it's still real to this day. But I
- 2:07Speaker 6: know how to do it with wisdom. You know what
- 2:09Speaker 6: I'm saying.
- 2:09Speaker 4: I was, I was really.
- 2:11Speaker 6: Seven years That's what the whole the whole comedy special
- 2:14Speaker 6: is about seven years where I was at, you know,
- 2:17Speaker 6: it's it's it's some comedy and some drama there where
- 2:20Speaker 6: some stuff went little little left. Ever see that Martin
- 2:23Speaker 6: episode where he actually joined that cult and everything. So
- 2:26Speaker 6: it's kind of like some comedy with that exaggerated truth,
- 2:29Speaker 6: but at the same time it went into a place
- 2:32Speaker 6: where trying to I came up with solutions and I
- 2:35Speaker 6: would say God, I would say, God showed me solutions.
- 2:38Speaker 4: I wouldn't give me.
- 2:39Speaker 6: For for our for our we would say galvanizing ourselves together.
- 2:45Speaker 6: And in that when I brought forth solutions to the
- 2:48Speaker 6: to I would say a group of people, it was
- 2:51Speaker 6: received not you see what I'm saying, And it was
- 2:56Speaker 6: everybody wanted to be the one with the solution or
- 2:58Speaker 6: we want to focus on the problem.
- 3:00Speaker 4: That's why I was showing you.
- 3:01Speaker 6: People keep saying that Hollywood's doing this, Hollywood's doing that,
- 3:04Speaker 6: as black Man is and that, but then cat all
- 3:07Speaker 6: of them make more money. To me, why haven't you
- 3:10Speaker 6: shot your films? Mm hmmm, one show can fund one
- 3:16Speaker 6: Kat Williams show can fund ten two B movies. You
- 3:20Speaker 6: know what I'm saying, And I'm not talking and people
- 3:23Speaker 6: they they kind of they kind of knocked to be
- 3:25Speaker 6: movies sometimes because you don't get some good movies ectly exactly.
- 3:30Speaker 6: And I'm from Detroit. We started the whole to be
- 3:33Speaker 6: we You might not get Dizel Washington. Don't getting to
- 3:35Speaker 6: Zel Washington, you know what i mean. You know what
- 3:37Speaker 6: I mean, you might get trained tonight.
- 3:39Speaker 4: But it'd be good. You know what I'm saying. Then's
- 3:42Speaker 4: there Washington be like, uh, don's that?
- 3:44Speaker 6: Washington be like okay, okay, then's there Washington be like yep, yep, yep, yep, yep.
- 3:50Speaker 6: So in that in that case, it's like I found
- 3:53Speaker 6: I found a solution in film for me first, and
- 3:56Speaker 6: that when I was doing things economically, you know, they
- 4:01Speaker 6: everybody wanted the problem. So I said, you know what,
- 4:03Speaker 6: I'm just gonna do what what I know to do
- 4:06Speaker 6: and find that solution at least in film first. You
- 4:10Speaker 6: see what I'm saying, Because it's not it's it's it's
- 4:12Speaker 6: all about how you produce, you know, you know, you
- 4:14Speaker 6: know what I mean. Films are affordable now with technology
- 4:17Speaker 6: correct now.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Just to kind of reset the room a little bit
- 4:20Speaker 3: a little bit, And I like how you did say,
- 4:22Speaker 3: are you from Detroit?
- 4:23Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 4:24Speaker 1: Growing up. How was that for you?
- 4:26Speaker 4: I grew up in the hood and the suburbs.
- 4:28Speaker 6: So I grew up in the suburbs and the sober
- 4:30Speaker 6: grew up in seven the first suburb.
- 4:32Speaker 7: Second, what was back and forth?
- 4:34Speaker 4: Yeah, so seven miles worldwards to West Bloomfield.
- 4:37Speaker 1: So who was who was so white?
- 4:39Speaker 6: They put my picture in every grade in the yearbook
- 4:41Speaker 6: so the school can look diverse.
- 4:43Speaker 1: So who was in the hood? Who was in the suburbs?
- 4:46Speaker 4: Uh? So the hood was like, what do you mean?
- 4:48Speaker 7: Who was in the Was mom in the hood?
- 4:49Speaker 1: Dad in the suburbs?
- 4:51Speaker 4: My parents? My parents are still together.
- 4:54Speaker 6: That's what's up, you know what I mean. I come
- 4:55Speaker 6: from like a family. My dad's a pastor, you know
- 4:58Speaker 6: what I mean. And and and you know, uh, they've
- 5:01Speaker 6: been together for forty some years, nine kids, So yeah,
- 5:05Speaker 6: we have a traditional family. And I was And sometimes
- 5:09Speaker 6: you get hated on for that, you know, just having
- 5:11Speaker 6: my man and daddy in the house, you know what
- 5:13Speaker 6: I mean. It's it's it's it's it's crazy the mentality
- 5:15Speaker 6: sometimes of like of people. But when I was coming up,
- 5:19Speaker 6: you know, it was like my dad always made sure,
- 5:22Speaker 6: you know what I mean, that we put God first.
- 5:26Speaker 6: And we knew that we can do anything, you know
- 5:27Speaker 6: what I mean, that we could put And that's just
- 5:29Speaker 6: how I was taught, you know it was it was
- 5:31Speaker 6: never just like I told my dad. I said, look,
- 5:33Speaker 6: he said, you're gonna be either the youth pastor, which
- 5:36Speaker 6: I didn't want to be because I was. I was
- 5:37Speaker 6: a horror back then. I don't want to be the
- 5:40Speaker 6: youth pastor, or you're gonna go to Hollywood. I said, Dad,
- 5:42Speaker 6: if I don't make it in six months, right, how.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Were you when you said this to him?
- 5:48Speaker 4: Eighteen?
- 5:49Speaker 7: Some way? Your dad gave you the ultimate?
- 5:51Speaker 4: I gave him ultimate. Oh god, I bet, I bet
- 5:53Speaker 4: on myself. I said.
- 5:55Speaker 6: I said, if I don't make it within six months,
- 5:57Speaker 6: I'll come back and work for the church.
- 6:00Speaker 4: And what was your first I gotta make it.
- 6:02Speaker 1: I gotta what was your first big break?
- 6:04Speaker 6: So I went to the Lave Factory when I was
- 6:07Speaker 6: eighteen and I did chocolate Sundays Pooky Wigginton and also
- 6:13Speaker 6: uh uh, Chris Spencer.
- 6:16Speaker 4: They put me on stage.
- 6:17Speaker 6: Now Pokey Wigan and he's the one that manages Kevin
- 6:19Speaker 6: Hart and you know him. He's on the Kapvin Hart's team.
- 6:22Speaker 6: He ran he runs a thing called Chocolate Sundays. So
- 6:26Speaker 6: I did three minutes, ripped it, got an agent at
- 6:29Speaker 6: C A A and they My first audition was fat
- 6:32Speaker 6: Albert didn't get that. Second one, uh was roll bounds
- 6:38Speaker 6: you got I got got them. Yeah, And I was like,
- 6:41Speaker 6: that's six months.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Now, correct me if I'm wrong to be to you too,
- 6:46Speaker 3: because you've been on television. Getting paid is different acting
- 6:52Speaker 3: and being on films, because you don't just get paid
- 6:56Speaker 3: every two weeks like a normal person that has a.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Nine to five.
- 7:00Speaker 4: No, no, you don't.
- 7:01Speaker 6: You get paid kind of like the NFL not be
- 7:03Speaker 6: trying to tell my team when they invoice, when the
- 7:06Speaker 6: invoice and they we get paid kind of like if
- 7:09Speaker 6: you know any corporate structures, it's called and I do
- 7:11Speaker 6: a drug about this net thirties and everything like or
- 7:14Speaker 6: sometimes and it depends on how what your contract is.
- 7:17Speaker 6: But people say you get a big lump sum of
- 7:19Speaker 6: money up, No, it doesn't work like that. You got
- 7:20Speaker 6: to finish the film then you know you get then
- 7:22Speaker 6: you got to get paid weekly something like that.
- 7:24Speaker 1: But it's not finish the film.
- 7:26Speaker 6: To get in some contracts, you gotta finish the film
- 7:29Speaker 6: and then you get you get the rest of your money.
- 7:31Speaker 4: It's not this, you know what I mean.
- 7:32Speaker 3: It's it's drawn not as lucrative as people say, oh
- 7:34Speaker 3: yeah you just got five million for that film, but
- 7:36Speaker 3: even if you did, you getting.
- 7:38Speaker 4: It spaced out.
- 7:39Speaker 6: Yeah you're not getting you got the contract, but that
- 7:42Speaker 6: and not be trying to explain that to people. It's like,
- 7:44Speaker 6: did you.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Have a root awakening with that?
- 7:46Speaker 3: Because I'm kind of trying to lead to what how
- 7:48Speaker 3: did you learn to manage your money because that could
- 7:51Speaker 3: get a little difficult, especially.
- 7:52Speaker 1: When you were young, And no, we didn't.
- 7:54Speaker 4: And the funny thing is, and my dad gets madden
- 7:56Speaker 4: me for this, Like my.
- 7:57Speaker 6: Dad because he was he was, he was, he was,
- 8:01Speaker 6: he was drug dealer turned pastor.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Okay, so you know what I mean.
- 8:05Speaker 6: So my dad in the seventies, I guess the baby
- 8:08Speaker 6: boomers and they get mad when you say this, They
- 8:09Speaker 6: really didn't teach us how to manage money like that.
- 8:12Speaker 6: They taught us how to pray, pray, ask God, you
- 8:15Speaker 6: know what I mean, keep your head up, chests out.
- 8:17Speaker 6: You know, that's where I got that from because my
- 8:19Speaker 6: dad would give me like seventies sayings, you know, son,
- 8:21Speaker 6: the game is chess.
- 8:22Speaker 4: Not check us, you know what I mean? You playing
- 8:24Speaker 4: connect for I'm like, dad, how do you manage money?
- 8:27Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 8:28Speaker 6: That's not a real a real solution, you know what
- 8:31Speaker 6: I mean.
- 8:32Speaker 4: And I think they just didn't know if they was born.
- 8:34Speaker 6: And you know in that generation with the baby boomers
- 8:36Speaker 6: where their parents just said just trust God and uh
- 8:41Speaker 6: and you'll figure it out.
- 8:43Speaker 4: Now it's like, okay, where's the math.
- 8:44Speaker 1: You can't figure it out.
- 8:45Speaker 8: I need an accounting right now because it's money coming
- 8:47Speaker 8: in exactly. So I was I had to. I had
- 8:49Speaker 8: to figure it out where I was like, okay, and
- 8:52Speaker 8: study how to uh understand that castle.
- 8:56Speaker 1: You had to figure it out? Yeah, okay, well yeah we.
- 8:58Speaker 6: All yeah, yeah, we all yeah, still figuring out. I
- 9:00Speaker 6: think everyone's I think the whole country figured it out
- 9:02Speaker 6: right now how to manage money.
- 9:04Speaker 4: And it's here right right. But yeah, yeah, So I.
- 9:09Speaker 6: Think that our parents really gave us a a good
- 9:14Speaker 6: foundation im morality, but not practicality.
- 9:18Speaker 4: If I said that, practicality, yeah.
- 9:21Speaker 6: And you know, like we we pray over over food
- 9:24Speaker 6: that's that gives us high cholesterol?
- 9:26Speaker 4: You know, God bless this pork.
- 9:28Speaker 6: I mean, should I be eating this right now. It's
- 9:31Speaker 6: like it's not even a religious thing. It's like, you know,
- 9:33Speaker 6: let's bless Heroin too. It's like, you know what I mean,
- 9:36Speaker 6: Like it just doesn't make sense. I like, I like,
- 9:39Speaker 6: I like practical data. Now I've already done the emotional thing,
- 9:42Speaker 6: you know what I mean, the baby mama and this,
- 9:44Speaker 6: and that, I've done the emotional thing.
- 9:47Speaker 4: I'm not practicality in this season in my life.
- 9:49Speaker 5: Yeah, it sounds like that that you've just done with
- 9:52Speaker 5: the bullshit. I'm done with it, and I'm done with
- 9:55Speaker 5: us complaining about something we can change.
- 9:57Speaker 4: I'm so over that.
- 9:58Speaker 6: I can't stand that we he ain't no, stop stop.
- 10:02Speaker 6: We can change anything we put our mind to. And
- 10:04Speaker 6: that's how how I was taught. You know, but my parents,
- 10:07Speaker 6: Now what change? What changed about you? In in Hollywood?
- 10:12Speaker 6: I want to say, no, chances I evolved into a man.
- 10:14Speaker 6: I mean, I can't be running around with bowwow and.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Grow up yeah through it.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Yeah, I grew up.
- 10:21Speaker 6: No, I grew up on that spiritual journey trying to
- 10:25Speaker 6: you know, work and and and really like working on
- 10:29Speaker 6: farms and you know, when you really start touching the
- 10:32Speaker 6: earth and you realize what's what's the what's what's the value?
- 10:35Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 10:36Speaker 6: Like men back in the East Eastern cultures didn't get
- 10:39Speaker 6: married today was forty because they had they they had
- 10:42Speaker 6: to get their stuff together. You know Eve, oh you
- 10:45Speaker 6: said us. Eve didn't come to Adam had his garden.
- 10:48Speaker 6: That's what I always tell men. When he was he
- 10:51Speaker 6: was like, it's not good for man to be alone
- 10:53Speaker 6: after he had all his stuff together, right and not?
- 10:56Speaker 6: And if you just believe it as a story, just
- 10:57Speaker 6: think of it from a place of if you don't
- 11:00Speaker 6: have your garden together. And I think we were so
- 11:03Speaker 6: in the Western culture was so quick to be like,
- 11:05Speaker 6: you know, I can go do my own thing instead
- 11:08Speaker 6: of serving and understanding how to your manhood First, Let's
- 11:13Speaker 6: go seats, let's go move these uh uh uh. And
- 11:17Speaker 6: it sounds ridiculous, but this is why some people understand,
- 11:21Speaker 6: let's go get the lambs, let's go move this, the horses,
- 11:24Speaker 6: let's go let's go work with the earth, you know
- 11:26Speaker 6: what I mean. A lot of people don't like, you know,
- 11:28Speaker 6: that's where it's at first, because you really don't need money,
- 11:33Speaker 6: you don't you need.
- 11:35Speaker 4: Just the work. The earth yields food. If you really
- 11:38Speaker 4: if It really came.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Down to how do you when you were realizing this?
- 11:41Speaker 6: I don't know, man, I've always kind of asked questions, uh,
- 11:45Speaker 6: but realizing, I mean, how old.
- 11:48Speaker 3: I can tell you the season in my life when
- 11:50Speaker 3: you evolved into this.
- 11:54Speaker 4: Just growth? I mean, is how do I explain it?
- 11:58Speaker 4: How old was that?
- 11:59Speaker 1: Some people have moments?
- 12:00Speaker 4: So I stepped away around twenty.
- 12:02Speaker 7: Sixteen when you stepped away from the movie.
- 12:04Speaker 6: Scene from the movie scene, I did one ind that's
- 12:07Speaker 6: gonna actually come out in twenty eighteen.
- 12:09Speaker 4: That's with me and Jez. It's called Trap City. I
- 12:12Speaker 4: did that.
- 12:12Speaker 1: We didn't come out yet.
- 12:14Speaker 6: Nah, don't even please don't, okay, don't it's coming out.
- 12:17Speaker 4: You're gonna see it. But it's it.
- 12:20Speaker 1: That was the movie.
- 12:21Speaker 6: That was my first time producing the film, and I'm
- 12:25Speaker 6: happy that everything that could go wrong went wrong in
- 12:28Speaker 6: that film from even now, like from the Jez's divorces
- 12:34Speaker 6: and we got you know, the thing is going on
- 12:36Speaker 6: over there, We got you know, we got we like,
- 12:38Speaker 6: we gotta promote Jez. Don't mention my name, No, you,
- 12:41Speaker 6: we're gonna mention your name. We gotta sell the movie.
- 12:44Speaker 6: We're gonna mention your name. You want to cover.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Okay, but you shot this in twenty eighteen eighteen.
- 12:49Speaker 6: I know it's it's I don't know how much has
- 12:51Speaker 6: happened since I don't own the film anymore. My partner
- 12:54Speaker 6: Telga Nation, shout out to him. He owns the film,
- 12:57Speaker 6: and you know he can release it the way he feels.
- 12:59Speaker 6: It's just everything that could have went wrong on that set,
- 13:03Speaker 6: from food poison. It mean, it was horrible. It was horrible,
- 13:06Speaker 6: but I love it because I learned everything. It was
- 13:09Speaker 6: like I was going. I was through that time of
- 13:12Speaker 6: that seven year journey. I was literally going and becoming
- 13:15Speaker 6: a man, learning mistakes.
- 13:18Speaker 7: So now I know what not to do.
- 13:19Speaker 4: You know what I mean? You know what I'm saying.
- 13:21Speaker 4: I do.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Got a question for you.
- 13:23Speaker 2: What was your favorite film to shoot right now?
- 13:26Speaker 6: My favorite it's not out yet. My favorite series, favorite
- 13:30Speaker 6: piece right now is Family Business, New Orleans. I think
- 13:35Speaker 6: I think I finally got a piece that shows what
- 13:40Speaker 6: who who I need, who I need to be on film?
- 13:44Speaker 6: You know what I mean, just with the action and
- 13:45Speaker 6: the and it's actually a drama, which is hilarious.
- 13:49Speaker 4: Uh It's it's it's just dope.
- 13:52Speaker 7: I could tell you excited about it.
- 13:53Speaker 4: So because I mean, I'm driving a lambo, I own
- 13:55Speaker 4: a casino, like yeah, y'all, see y'all, y'all.
- 14:00Speaker 6: And it's so weird because like if you look at
- 14:02Speaker 6: somebody's baby picture and he's, oh, you were so cute
- 14:05Speaker 6: as a baby. You know, That's how I feel sometimes
- 14:08Speaker 6: when people look at me, they're seeing my baby picture.
- 14:12Speaker 6: And then so now I have an updated photo, Like
- 14:19Speaker 6: you feel like.
- 14:19Speaker 7: People judge you based on your past.
- 14:21Speaker 6: And it's like it's not a problem, but it's like
- 14:23Speaker 6: it's like Julia Roberts and and I always say her
- 14:28Speaker 6: and Brad pick because the way we look at actors
- 14:31Speaker 6: and other nationalities, Brad Pitten Interview of the Vampire. You're
- 14:35Speaker 6: not gonna be like, yo, what's up with the Interview
- 14:36Speaker 6: of the Vampire. You be like, no Ocean is eleven.
- 14:40Speaker 6: You're gonna go back to what he's did, I bullet train,
- 14:43Speaker 6: you know, And of course to his discretion is that
- 14:47Speaker 6: he put out a movie every two years.
- 14:49Speaker 4: So it's like, you know, I took that break.
- 14:51Speaker 6: So I'm happy that y'all gonna see me playing a lawyer,
- 14:54Speaker 6: me playing a casino owner, me playing a cop.
- 14:57Speaker 4: You know. Cool?
- 14:58Speaker 6: Cool, Uh, uh, grown man roles where I can you know,
- 15:02Speaker 6: have have my own thing?
- 15:04Speaker 1: Are you does it? Sometimes?
- 15:06Speaker 3: I know you that people may correlate how you how
- 15:10Speaker 3: great you did as an actor in a movie, and
- 15:12Speaker 3: think that's who you really are.
- 15:15Speaker 5: Hmm. Yeah, it's kind of like you did such a
- 15:21Speaker 5: great job in those movies that you were part of.
- 15:24Speaker 2: People Child, the Tyler Perry movie that kicked the girl out.
- 15:28Speaker 2: They hate him.
- 15:28Speaker 4: They hate him forever.
- 15:30Speaker 1: No, it's not forever. What's the movie. What's the movie?
- 15:32Speaker 1: What's the movie? It's the movie? I forget his name.
- 15:38Speaker 4: What's the movie?
- 15:39Speaker 2: The guy who kicked.
- 15:43Speaker 4: They hate him?
- 15:44Speaker 7: What I said?
- 15:45Speaker 2: They don't like him to this day.
- 15:47Speaker 1: But he was acting.
- 15:48Speaker 4: I know. It's well, I listen.
- 15:51Speaker 6: If I think they're gonna love Marquise Duncan and and
- 15:54Speaker 6: that's that's that's a problem. And I'm not trying to
- 15:56Speaker 6: be I've been trying to tell I'm not Marquis.
- 15:59Speaker 4: I would love.
- 16:00Speaker 6: I'm not saying God is not gonna bless me with
- 16:02Speaker 6: my own private jet one day or and and and
- 16:05Speaker 6: but if you were gonna.
- 16:06Speaker 4: Fly either Spirit or Delta. You know what I'm saying.
- 16:10Speaker 6: If you, if you look one is a bad I
- 16:15Speaker 6: mean spirit tickets like Philly dollars, but your bag checked
- 16:19Speaker 6: me like three hundred, so you go.
- 16:20Speaker 3: Now, I gotta talk about your boy bow wow. I
- 16:24Speaker 3: always felt that he was a great actor, and I
- 16:27Speaker 3: felt like he should should have stayed there and only
- 16:30Speaker 3: did that because I've seen him act in movies and
- 16:34Speaker 3: you've acted.
- 16:34Speaker 1: How many movies we bout?
- 16:36Speaker 4: I think too too.
- 16:38Speaker 3: I wanted your opinion, do you did you agree with that?
- 16:41Speaker 3: Because I felt like he was a better actor.
- 16:43Speaker 4: I don't put limits on people, but I know what
- 16:46Speaker 4: you're saying.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Like he was so talented.
- 16:49Speaker 4: People say this.
- 16:49Speaker 6: About me, and it's annoying. They never seen my comedy,
- 16:53Speaker 6: right okay, and they say when they see it, they go, wow,
- 16:57Speaker 6: this was brilliant. How'd you I've been doing it for
- 16:59Speaker 6: so long? But they say, hey, but these you're an actor,
- 17:02Speaker 6: you know. And then when they see it go, oh,
- 17:04Speaker 6: that's how that's why they shoot it like a film.
- 17:07Speaker 6: You see, I have to do like Eddie Murphy raw,
- 17:09Speaker 6: you know what I mean? I do it in that way?
- 17:11Speaker 6: Was well because but I've been doing comedy for thirty
- 17:14Speaker 6: twenty five years, but y'all just didn't se it because
- 17:17Speaker 6: all my stuff got lost on MySpace. That's how long
- 17:19Speaker 6: I've been doing it, you know what I mean. And
- 17:21Speaker 6: I didn't go I wasn't internet deal with all the
- 17:23Speaker 6: Internet sketches.
- 17:24Speaker 3: I was already so you weren't. You didn't partake in
- 17:27Speaker 3: the interneting.
- 17:28Speaker 4: I was always in film.
- 17:30Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 17:30Speaker 4: I was just about to say, I think it was
- 17:31Speaker 4: because I'm a film guy. He was.
- 17:33Speaker 2: I feel like you could have at least gave us
- 17:35Speaker 2: some we won social media.
- 17:36Speaker 4: That's what we're doing. That's why I'm here now.
- 17:39Speaker 5: Look, this is the conversations that we was having off camera,
- 17:43Speaker 5: because he was talking about like he when he was like,
- 17:47Speaker 5: this is my first time on the show. And then
- 17:48Speaker 5: when I showed him some of the clips, He's like, oh,
- 17:50Speaker 5: I've seen this, but he said, I'm so far removed.
- 17:52Speaker 6: I'm right now, he said, That's why I'm here now. Yeah,
- 17:54Speaker 6: I'm writing the film right. I'm writing two movies right
- 17:57Speaker 6: now out of eating in transit. Right, I'm I write film.
- 18:02Speaker 6: I gotta shut everything off. I gotta write a hundred pages,
- 18:04Speaker 6: and I gotta read all these other auditions against Damns
- 18:08Speaker 6: and Adres and all these other dudes.
- 18:09Speaker 4: You know what I mean.
- 18:09Speaker 6: It's like, you know, it's it's it's it's it's a
- 18:13Speaker 6: it's a lot bro as you you being an actor,
- 18:16Speaker 6: you gotta sit down and read.
- 18:17Speaker 4: You know.
- 18:18Speaker 6: I'm like, I got that, and someone about you gotta
- 18:22Speaker 6: realize that's another thing. By while, I feel like I
- 18:30Speaker 6: was trying to get the rights to Lottery Ticket to
- 18:32Speaker 6: prior to the director how to do it Warner Brothers.
- 18:37Speaker 6: I think they said no, by the way, but I
- 18:39Speaker 6: don't know. So the director Eric White called we met
- 18:43Speaker 6: about another movie which I can't tell you about, and
- 18:45Speaker 6: I thought it was a great idea and everything. But
- 18:49Speaker 6: then it becomes if you put me in Bao in
- 18:51Speaker 6: the film, which the movie is actually really funny, the idea,
- 18:55Speaker 6: why are we not executing this? And this is why
- 18:57Speaker 6: this why be getting mad? I just executed this. I
- 19:00Speaker 6: shot this and one day I.
- 19:03Speaker 4: Delivered it to the studios.
- 19:06Speaker 3: With post says and someone who's watching, what is this?
- 19:10Speaker 6: This is my my comedy special chest out right just
- 19:12Speaker 6: cause you know, so delivering delivering this this this product
- 19:18Speaker 6: right was less than a month of and when you
- 19:22Speaker 6: talk about post production, that's what I'm saying. I gotta
- 19:25Speaker 6: go to a post house. I got coloring to do.
- 19:27Speaker 6: My mind is like I'm like a Tyler Perry. And
- 19:30Speaker 6: when I say that, we have to gigabytes terror bytes
- 19:35Speaker 6: and you know what I'm saying, it's it's.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Social media isn't really on your mind? You're thinking way
- 19:41Speaker 3: above well.
- 19:42Speaker 6: When I say country ain't doing movies, it's like I
- 19:44Speaker 6: love it, but it's like, wait a minute, while am
- 19:47Speaker 6: I going off movies to go do sketches. It's annoying,
- 19:49Speaker 6: Like I can't stop films to go do sketches, but
- 19:52Speaker 6: I know I need to do sketches.
- 19:54Speaker 7: See what you're saying.
- 19:54Speaker 4: Trust me, it's a headache every day with my team.
- 19:56Speaker 3: But I still think you should only because it's some
- 19:59Speaker 3: low hanging fruit, So you should.
- 20:03Speaker 4: So Facebook can just be telling me how to be
- 20:05Speaker 4: a robot.
- 20:06Speaker 1: It just know, it just keeps you in the algorithm. Brother,
- 20:08Speaker 1: that's all.
- 20:08Speaker 7: We just want to.
- 20:09Speaker 4: Really keeps it talented, Netflix correct.
- 20:12Speaker 3: Correct, But there's there's multiple algorithms. If we can be honest,
- 20:16Speaker 3: I'm with you. It's just I would rather I will
- 20:18Speaker 3: I would like to see you on my timeline as
- 20:20Speaker 3: much as possible because you're a talented person. That's our
- 20:23Speaker 3: talented He is an Italian mobster.
- 20:27Speaker 4: You want to people to see you, give me twenty dollars.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Give me forty.
- 20:31Speaker 4: Okay, maybe I'll give you like fifteen people. I want
- 20:35Speaker 4: to play that video game.
- 20:36Speaker 1: But he but he from a different era because I'm
- 20:39Speaker 1: a classic.
- 20:40Speaker 6: Like when I went to Ferrari, right, I was like,
- 20:42Speaker 6: I see what Ferrari's doing.
- 20:44Speaker 7: Right, I get it.
- 20:46Speaker 6: They're exclusive, there's no commercials. You don't see you don't
- 20:48Speaker 6: see commercials. I'm like, maybe I said to name myself that.
- 20:54Speaker 6: Come on, you know what I'm saying, self advertisedment.
- 20:57Speaker 4: Come on.
- 20:57Speaker 6: And the funny thing is is I would sending Ferrari
- 21:00Speaker 6: to Ferrari store the other day and.
- 21:04Speaker 4: It was just I was like, okay, and I know
- 21:06Speaker 4: God sent me in there.
- 21:07Speaker 6: I know it sounds, you know, kind of you know, random, but.
- 21:13Speaker 7: It's like.
- 21:17Speaker 6: You're a Ferrari, you know. I'm like, okay, okay, God,
- 21:21Speaker 6: you can't be everywhere. Kendrick is a Ferrari, you know.
- 21:26Speaker 6: It's like, I think humility has become my strength over
- 21:31Speaker 6: being arrogant because the more I the more I step away,
- 21:36Speaker 6: the more I try.
- 21:37Speaker 4: To go, go go go. It's just God always.
- 21:40Speaker 6: Like I'm I'm kind of an exclusive situation, and I
- 21:44Speaker 6: really don't want to be, but I'm realizing that. You
- 21:47Speaker 6: know what I mean, You're going to see a branded
- 21:49Speaker 6: Jackson project when God wants you to see a brain
- 21:52Speaker 6: like it's the same, you know, like, do you understand that?
- 21:56Speaker 6: And I was talking to my audience about this yesterday
- 22:01Speaker 6: Drake did, Yeah, I want you to do this math.
- 22:06Speaker 6: Drake did a song called Big as a super Bowl
- 22:13Speaker 6: where he was at the super Bowl. In the music
- 22:15Speaker 6: video performing right, he said it was a big three
- 22:22Speaker 6: what's his name?
- 22:22Speaker 4: Right? Big three?
- 22:23Speaker 1: It was him, J Cole and Kendrick.
- 22:25Speaker 4: And Kendrick said no, no, no, no, no.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Ain't no big three. It's just big me right, And
- 22:30Speaker 1: now he's performing at the super.
- 22:31Speaker 6: Bowl to a distrut to Drake, that's ridiculous. How can
- 22:38Speaker 6: you know, bro, that's that's cosmic. That's cosmic.
- 22:41Speaker 4: There's no way. And listen, I'm I was in and
- 22:44Speaker 4: out like us video, you know what I mean? Yes,
- 22:46Speaker 4: I got two. I was going the wrong way to
- 22:48Speaker 4: hope when he said step this way, I was going
- 22:50Speaker 4: the other way.
- 22:51Speaker 7: I look say, Drake followed you to them.
- 22:53Speaker 6: No, no, listen, listen, no, no, I love I love humans.
- 22:58Speaker 4: I don't. I don't, you know.
- 22:59Speaker 6: But when we talking about a sporting event like Drake
- 23:02Speaker 6: on a personal level, Kendrick on a personal level, always
- 23:06Speaker 6: gonna be my brothers. But when you're talking about I've
- 23:09Speaker 6: never seen something look like Moses and Pharaoh in the mile.
- 23:13Speaker 6: It was like he sucked all the pride out of
- 23:16Speaker 6: Drake and say, be humble, sit down.
- 23:19Speaker 4: That's bro, that's that's different.
- 23:22Speaker 6: And that's why I always I say keep my head
- 23:25Speaker 6: up in my chest out because that's more of a
- 23:28Speaker 6: keep your head up. That's a positive message. This ain't
- 23:30Speaker 6: nothing saying I'm arrogant better than anybody. I just know
- 23:34Speaker 6: that when when when when the universe what you want
- 23:38Speaker 6: to call it, God, when he's before you, ain't no
- 23:40Speaker 6: man could be against you.
- 23:41Speaker 4: It's nothing you can do. Trust me.
- 23:43Speaker 6: I tried it, ended up with goats and lambs and
- 23:47Speaker 6: try to do my own thing.
- 23:48Speaker 4: I ended up on farms in Arizona.
- 23:52Speaker 6: Bro, I've been through a whole journey where I'm able
- 23:57Speaker 6: to be like, Okay, I can't.
- 23:58Speaker 4: I don't control nothing.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Well, listen, man, we appreciate you pulling up on this man.

- 24:13Speaker 6: I'm I'm filming, I'm writing, I'm selling. Uh you know,
- 24:20Speaker 6: like I got my own studio. I don't have to
- 24:22Speaker 6: wait on you know, people to tell me when to
- 24:25Speaker 6: put the cameras up. You know, you can audition, that's great,
- 24:27Speaker 6: but you gotta wait on them to clear all that.
- 24:29Speaker 4: It's like, let's just just let's just shoot.
- 24:32Speaker 3: So someone wants to be an actor or actress, can
- 24:34Speaker 3: they contact you or context?
- 24:36Speaker 4: So yeah, I'm gonna go.
- 24:37Speaker 6: Get my book first, called Actor State of Mind. Because
