- 0:00Speaker 1: The Force will be with you always.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Hello and welcome to another episode of Star Wars Alliance.
- 0:24Speaker 2: I just now realized I'm not wearing a Star Wars
- 0:27Speaker 2: shirt today. Oh no, I'm wearing a Marvel shirt today.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Shirt on top of every.
- 0:41Speaker 2: I spent like a good month going to Kohle's like
- 0:46Speaker 2: every week buying a new Star Wars shirt and I
- 0:49Speaker 2: didn't even wear one this week. Jeez waise. But yeah, guys,
- 0:54Speaker 2: we are here. We were just talking right before we
- 0:57Speaker 2: went live. There is like no news in regards of
- 1:02Speaker 2: Star Wars. I will say, Katie, I don't know if
- 1:07Speaker 2: you received the thing in the mail that we were
- 1:09Speaker 2: supposed to receive that we're going to be talking about soon.
- 1:16Speaker 2: There it is, there, it is. We will be talking
- 1:20Speaker 2: about it later. But we received a adult coloring book.
- 1:27Speaker 4: Yes, it's called The Art of Coloring.
- 1:31Speaker 3: Engross.
- 1:37Speaker 4: It is an adult coloring book. It's got a over
- 1:41Speaker 4: one hundred images to color anywhere. We have not been
- 1:46Speaker 4: able to dive into the coloring portion of it yet,
- 1:50Speaker 4: but the pages are definitely good quality. There looks to
- 1:56Speaker 4: be like there are several shots from the movie along
- 2:00Speaker 4: with the show, as well as like your standard like
- 2:05Speaker 4: multiple image like computer esque background.
- 2:09Speaker 5: Yes, So so I think I already know what page
- 2:17Speaker 5: I'm going to color first, Okay, but I'm gonna be
- 2:23Speaker 5: a little bougie with it.
- 2:26Speaker 2: And I don't know if you can exactly call this bougie.
- 2:30Speaker 2: I recently saw on I found the same creator on
- 2:38Speaker 2: both Instagram and on TikTok. There is this colorist who
- 2:47Speaker 2: only uses blue, red, and yellow to create every color
- 2:54Speaker 2: on a page. And I was like, well, all I
- 2:59Speaker 2: need because it's Grogu and the Mandalorian, I was like,
- 3:03Speaker 2: all I really need is brown, green, and like silver. Yeah,
- 3:12Speaker 2: so how do I do that? And I saw one
- 3:16Speaker 2: where a majority of the one of the coloring sheets
- 3:20Speaker 2: that they did because they do it with coloring sheets,
- 3:22Speaker 2: and I was like, oh, this is perfect, Like this
- 3:24Speaker 2: will literally show me how to shade and everything. And
- 3:28Speaker 2: so I've seen there was one that had a majority
- 3:31Speaker 2: of like a character that was using the color brown,
- 3:34Speaker 2: and so I was like, okay, I can use that
- 3:36Speaker 2: for Grogu's little like poncho thing. And I was like, okay, green,
- 3:40Speaker 2: you know, blue and yellow make green. I know all
- 3:44Speaker 2: the primary colors. Cool? Cool, cool? Now. The only thing
- 3:46Speaker 2: that they didn't have an example of is how to
- 3:49Speaker 2: make that silver shine. Yeah, so that's gonna be something
- 3:54Speaker 2: that I may just have to cheat and just use
- 3:56Speaker 2: silver for or gray, but I'm gonna try it. I'm
- 4:02Speaker 2: gonna try it because I I need to know. Okay,
- 4:06Speaker 2: because you said you love adult coloring books.
- 4:09Speaker 3: I love adult coloring books.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Which would mean that as a kid, you love to color, right, No,
- 4:19Speaker 2: what you didn't. You didn't color a whole lot when
- 4:21Speaker 2: you were a kid.
- 4:22Speaker 3: So okay, I take that back.
- 4:23Speaker 2: We did.
- 4:24Speaker 4: So we would do like Barbie Doll coloring books.
- 4:28Speaker 3: Yeah, and we would.
- 4:30Speaker 4: Color them and then we would cut them out and
- 4:34Speaker 4: basically glue them to cardboard. And that is our dolls
- 4:38Speaker 4: growing up.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Okay, No, no, no, no, Like I I get the sentiment, like, yeah,
- 4:43Speaker 2: for sure. So I know that there is like levels
- 4:53Speaker 2: of coloring when you're when you're getting older, right, there
- 4:56Speaker 2: is of course the like ooh, crown hold it like
- 4:59Speaker 2: a dagger and just like you know everywhere, and then
- 5:04Speaker 2: as you mature, as you get older, you start to
- 5:07Speaker 2: get inside the lines. You start to outline everything that
- 5:12Speaker 2: you like you outline before you color in. You get
- 5:16Speaker 2: to that level and then it's like, oh I do
- 5:19Speaker 2: marker in the outline, but I use crown in the color.
- 5:23Speaker 4: I've never gotten that far. It's always been like gel pens. Yeah,
- 5:29Speaker 4: and I definitely will do the outline, but I'm also
- 5:32Speaker 4: very particular about like the shading, like I always have
- 5:36Speaker 4: to color in the same in the same direction. Yeah.
- 5:39Speaker 5: So like I I like.
- 5:44Speaker 2: The last time I colored was probably with Amberlin, like
- 5:48Speaker 2: three or four months ago. She has not been in
- 5:51Speaker 2: new coloring mood. I even attempted last night because I
- 5:54Speaker 2: was like, I got a new coloring book. She has
- 5:57Speaker 2: her coloring book. We could literally just boats it at
- 5:59Speaker 2: the table in color. I was like, hey, do you
- 6:01Speaker 2: want to color? And she looked at me and she said, Dad,
- 6:04Speaker 2: that's boring. And I was like, oh no, please, don't
- 6:11Speaker 2: get out of that stage yet. I just got a
- 6:12Speaker 2: new coloring book.
- 6:15Speaker 4: All of my coloring books had been packed away because
- 6:18Speaker 4: there weren't something that like I was using a ton
- 6:22Speaker 4: especially like as I've gotten into crochet, I've had a
- 6:25Speaker 4: hankering for it.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Getting was like, Oh, I don't know why. When I
- 6:32Speaker 2: first read the email, I immediately thought color, what is it?
- 6:38Speaker 2: Paint by numbers or color by numbers? Yeah, I thought
- 6:41Speaker 2: it was going to be that it's not what it is.
- 6:44Speaker 2: It is just an adult coloring book, just meaning that
- 6:48Speaker 2: it's better paper quality, and that it's a theme that
- 6:56Speaker 2: most adults would gravitate towards rather than kids. Yeah, it's
- 6:59Speaker 2: basically it Like.
- 7:00Speaker 4: I'm gonna have to probably keep this away from Marow
- 7:04Speaker 4: because she's going to see the grogu on the cover.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Be like grogol exactly. Yeah, And I'm gonna have to
- 7:09Speaker 2: do the same for Amberlyn because once she sees me,
- 7:13Speaker 2: because that's the thing. Amberlin is always in this like, oh,
- 7:17Speaker 2: that's boring type of mood lately, but like if she
- 7:20Speaker 2: sees me do it, then she's like, oh wait, I
- 7:23Speaker 2: want to do that too. I'll be honest, I don't
- 7:27Speaker 2: want all of the scribbles on my coloring book. So
- 7:33Speaker 2: so we'll see if I can do that either tomorrow
- 7:37Speaker 2: or this weekend. I'm looking forward to it. But that
- 7:41Speaker 2: is something that we will. We will both, you know,
- 7:44Speaker 2: get our time with it and then talk about it.
- 7:48Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's on sale now, guys, so.
- 7:52Speaker 2: I think yes, I believe it was on sale on
- 7:55Speaker 2: the eighteenth.
- 7:57Speaker 4: It says on sale April twenty.
- 7:59Speaker 2: First, twenty first, Okay, Okay, yeah, it's.
- 8:02Speaker 3: My handy dandy pr slip.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Yes, well no, because I was very confused. We we
- 8:08Speaker 2: got it. We like, I received the book and the mail.
- 8:12Speaker 2: I read that and I was like twenty first, what's today?
- 8:16Speaker 2: And then I looked. I was like, oh, that was
- 8:19Speaker 2: like five days ago. Okay, anyway, like, yeah, you know,
- 8:22Speaker 2: it is what it is though.
- 8:25Speaker 4: And as always, the reviews are honest. But thank you
- 8:29Speaker 4: as always to Random House Worlds for sending us.
- 8:31Speaker 2: We genuinely like. I remember getting the email and I
- 8:34Speaker 2: just sit Katie at text. I was like, how would
- 8:36Speaker 2: you feel about an adult coloring book if she just
- 8:39Speaker 2: sent me a text? I love colory books, so I
- 8:44Speaker 2: was like, okay, let's get it.
- 8:46Speaker 3: Clay was like do I really need to talk about this?
- 8:48Speaker 4: And I was like, we're talking about this. I liked
- 8:52Speaker 4: it because I had been eyeing it because I used
- 8:54Speaker 4: the Uten schedule and it was on there, and every
- 8:58Speaker 4: time I look to update release schedule document, I'm like,
- 9:02Speaker 4: adult color book, adult color book, and it was actually
- 9:05Speaker 4: in my like do I have enough Amazon points to
- 9:09Speaker 4: purchase this list?
- 9:11Speaker 3: Ah?
- 9:11Speaker 2: Okay, okay, very cool, but yeah, I think that'll be
- 9:23Speaker 2: fun again as a little like I said, a little
- 9:27Speaker 2: bit of an art challenge for myself. And it's more so,
- 9:31Speaker 2: you know, because I was just talking to some of
- 9:33Speaker 2: my friends today. The past two days, Monday and Tuesday
- 9:38Speaker 2: are my days off. Now I'm going to spend one
- 9:43Speaker 2: of those days, probably Mondays from now on, doing absolutely
- 9:49Speaker 2: deadly squat Like that is my goal for every Monday,
- 9:54Speaker 2: to do absolutely nothing and literally just either hang out
- 9:58Speaker 2: with Amberlin or just like be a couch potato because
- 10:04Speaker 2: sometimes I just feel like I need it. But yeah, yeah,
- 10:09Speaker 2: it's gonna be fun. It's gonna be fun to color
- 10:13Speaker 2: zone out a little bit. We have some book rankings
- 10:19Speaker 2: in the future and I might just like put those
- 10:24Speaker 2: old audio books on my headphones and just color. I
- 10:28Speaker 2: think that'll be the best thing. So but yeah, guys,
- 10:33Speaker 2: that is basically it when it comes to news, just
- 10:38Speaker 2: that we will be talking about a coloring book in
- 10:40Speaker 2: the future. So what we will be talking about though,
- 10:45Speaker 2: is episodes seven and eight of Darthur Martin.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Kevin Davis is in the chat.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Oh I didn't even see yes, Kevin. Star Wars d
- 11:03Speaker 2: twenty three Expo prediction first look at Starfighter cast of
- 11:08Speaker 2: Ahsoka season two coming on stage the Mandalorian Grogu going
- 11:12Speaker 2: to make money at the boss office. I like, we
- 11:17Speaker 2: will be talking about predictions and that goes along with
- 11:22Speaker 2: box office for Mandalorian Grogu. And that is in two
- 11:26Speaker 2: weeks because of course, next week is episodes nine and
- 11:30Speaker 2: ten of Mall Shadow, and then after that will be
- 11:36Speaker 2: predictions because the very next week after that will be
- 11:39Speaker 2: our review for Mandalorian Grogu.
- 11:44Speaker 4: We finder we're live on the geek First YouTube channel.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Yes, on Friday, Friday will be the day that we
- 11:53Speaker 2: are live instead of Thursday, so that way we can
- 11:56Speaker 2: get best Saturday slot.
- 12:01Speaker 4: You said, Friday will be the day that we're live
- 12:04Speaker 4: instead of Thursday.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Instead of Wednesday. Yes, sorry, we.
- 12:07Speaker 4: Will still be going live Wednesday that week, but we're
- 12:10Speaker 4: gonna take the next week off. Yes, so that Wednesday
- 12:16Speaker 4: before the movie will be our predictions episode and then
- 12:20Speaker 4: Friday night at eight pm on the geek First YouTube
- 12:23Speaker 4: channel you can join us live to talk about the
- 12:25Speaker 4: movie and then that will be on feeds on Saturday.
- 12:30Speaker 2: So yes, yes, but we will, like you said, talk
- 12:36Speaker 2: about predictions as far as D twenty three. When is
- 12:41Speaker 2: D twenty.
- 12:42Speaker 4: Three typically August or September.
- 12:45Speaker 6: I was gonna say I thought it was September, I
- 12:50Speaker 6: would expect to see probably a little bit more on Starfighter.
- 12:58Speaker 2: I think that is true enough, especially especially if Mandalorian
- 13:09Speaker 2: does not do as well.
- 13:12Speaker 4: Oh, you think it's if Mandoin Grogu doesn't do as well.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Yes, because I think if Mandoin Grogu does well, I
- 13:22Speaker 2: think we will still get bare minimum on Starfighter until
- 13:26Speaker 2: the year of and.
- 13:30Speaker 4: I think so to conferm D twenty three is August
- 13:33Speaker 4: fourteenth through the sixteenth.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Of this year.
- 13:38Speaker 4: I think, regardless of what happens, I think D twenty
- 13:43Speaker 4: three is going to get a Starfighter first look. Okay,
- 13:49Speaker 4: I don't think that will be released publicly. If it's
- 13:54Speaker 4: released publicly, I think that depends on how Mandoin Grogu does.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Yeah, that's That's basically what I meant is the fact that,
- 14:02Speaker 2: like if the reception of man Dowin Grogu does poorly,
- 14:07Speaker 2: Disney and Lucasfilm will need to get the general audience
- 14:12Speaker 2: back up and excited about Star Wars again. Boom Starfighter,
- 14:16Speaker 2: you know, is the perfect way to do that. If
- 14:20Speaker 2: Grogu does well, then everything you know is going according
- 14:26Speaker 2: to plan. Yeah, and we will most likely just see
- 14:30Speaker 2: a very blurry cell phone camera version of that star
- 14:35Speaker 2: Fighter trailer. But yeah, uh episodes seven and eight of
- 14:44Speaker 2: Mal Shadow Lord. These are another two episodes. I again
- 14:50Speaker 2: feel like there's not a single episode in this show
- 14:56Speaker 2: that is like we have to sit back and hard
- 15:00Speaker 2: core analyze one episode. They go very well together, which
- 15:06Speaker 2: does again go into the complaint of this could be
- 15:09Speaker 2: an hour long show every single week.
- 15:14Speaker 4: And I think the first thing we gotta get out
- 15:17Speaker 4: of the way is the animation quality in music quality
- 15:22Speaker 4: is just superb, as it has been the entire show.
- 15:25Speaker 4: The chase music in episode eight, I was ed.
- 15:31Speaker 2: I really, I really loved the sound design in this episode.
- 15:36Speaker 2: In these episodes, I loved the I don't know why
- 15:44Speaker 2: it pops so much for me, but Devin's lightsaber sounded
- 15:48Speaker 2: really crisp in these episodes. But also again the bruaststroke animation,
- 15:59Speaker 2: I love it. You got to see a lot more
- 16:03Speaker 2: close ups of Devin and Mal in these episodes, and
- 16:08Speaker 2: like normally on any other animation or any other show,
- 16:13Speaker 2: live action, whatever, you would see the pores of somebody's face,
- 16:18Speaker 2: and just because of the way they do this animation,
- 16:20Speaker 2: you literally see the brushstrokes on Darth Maul's face, and
- 16:27Speaker 2: it brings such a like really cool artistic touch to it.
- 16:35Speaker 4: That like I could, I could put this on mute
- 16:39Speaker 4: and put music on and just love watching it.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Well yeah, and and it literally gives the idea of
- 16:46Speaker 2: like art coming to life, which I think is very poetic.
- 16:55Speaker 4: But that's about all good.
- 16:59Speaker 3: I have to say.
- 17:02Speaker 4: Well, it's a whole lot of nothing burger, it really is.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Now. I will say this. I will personally say this
- 17:09Speaker 2: because again I have not read the mall uh Legends book,
- 17:17Speaker 2: nor have I read the two thoy fourteen Darth Maul
- 17:23Speaker 2: run in comics. I believe it's twenty fourteen, I'm right.
- 17:30Speaker 2: So when I saw the quote unquote flashbacks or you know,
- 17:34Speaker 2: really just like reminiscent visions that Mal was having, I
- 17:42Speaker 2: was like, Oh, we're getting some backstory that we've never
- 17:46Speaker 2: seen before. How did you feel about those?
- 17:53Speaker 4: I so Savage didn't exist in Legends other than like
- 17:59Speaker 4: clone wars uh huh stuff. So I feel like you're
- 18:04Speaker 4: not missing too much when it comes to the Legends
- 18:06Speaker 4: books that are involved, because I have read both Legends books.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Well, I didn't really think about Savage, but I did
- 18:15Speaker 2: think about the idea of a younger mall training with Sidious.
- 18:21Speaker 2: That's really when I when I say like Legends, and
- 18:25Speaker 2: when I talk about the Mall book, okay, I'm thinking, oh,
- 18:31Speaker 2: I don't think we've ever seen a younger mall before.
- 18:36Speaker 3: I don't think.
- 18:36Speaker 4: We so Legends obviously very we do get younger mall
- 18:43Speaker 4: in there. I don't think we did in the comics.
- 18:46Speaker 4: It has been a while since I've read the Cops. Okay,
- 18:51Speaker 4: but maybe Felonia was like, oh, I want to tie
- 18:54Speaker 4: in because you know, one of the comic runs was
- 18:56Speaker 4: based on the son of Dak them your run was
- 19:02Speaker 4: based on episodes that he had, Yes, so maybe he
- 19:06Speaker 4: wanted to throw some of that stuff in, very similar
- 19:09Speaker 4: to like Tales of the Jedi with the Ahsoka episodes.
- 19:14Speaker 4: I don't remember a whole lot of the comic because
- 19:17Speaker 4: the comic wasn't one of my.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Favorites fair so.
- 19:25Speaker 4: I wasn't too impressed by the flashbacks though all of
- 19:28Speaker 4: the same. Like I was like, okay, so Mal is
- 19:32Speaker 4: actually related to Savage, not just like brothers in arms kind.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Of yeah, exactly. Yeah.
- 19:46Speaker 4: Other than that, I didn't really find a whole lot
- 19:48Speaker 4: of new information in those and they didn't evoke any emotions.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Well, that's what I was going to bring up, because again, thankfully,
- 19:56Speaker 2: I was able to keep myself from too many spoilers
- 20:00Speaker 2: on these two episodes. Again, there wasn't really much to
- 20:03Speaker 2: spoil because these two episodes were pretty predictable in literally
- 20:07Speaker 2: every single aspect. We predicted majority of everything that happened.
- 20:15Speaker 2: I did see a quote from I believe it was
- 20:19Speaker 2: Sam Witw're basically stating like, hey, we wanted this show
- 20:24Speaker 2: to be more than just an angry Mall getting his revenge.
- 20:29Speaker 2: And I think that does mean like the moments that
- 20:33Speaker 2: we got in basically his PTSD, like triggering these these
- 20:40Speaker 2: flashbacks and whatnot. And I would feel so much more
- 20:47Speaker 2: with those if we had more time with Mal.
- 20:54Speaker 4: There is too much going on with this show to
- 20:58Speaker 4: really make those kinds of things work. And I agree
- 20:59Speaker 4: with Adrian because Adrian was like a bunch of flashbacks
- 21:02Speaker 4: related to PTSD not character developed, like we know that PTSD,
- 21:11Speaker 4: we know that Mall has PTSD from clone. Wassh it
- 21:15Speaker 4: flat out Like I.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Didn't even see that quote and I won, Like I
- 21:19Speaker 2: didn't even see Adrian's post, And I one hundred percent
- 21:22Speaker 2: agree with that I'm gonna go look at it now.
- 21:26Speaker 4: It doesn't equal character development. There's nothing new here to
- 21:30Speaker 4: further the growth here. There's no expansion on where Mall
- 21:34Speaker 4: has been since Mantlor like that. There's nothing point blank
- 21:43Speaker 4: and there's way too much going on. We should be
- 21:47Speaker 4: spending half as much time with the Loss inside of
- 21:52Speaker 4: the story compared to the Mall side of the story. Like,
- 21:57Speaker 4: I liked it better when we thought Devin was on
- 22:01Speaker 4: her own. Because even though I like, I'll state President
- 22:05Speaker 4: Dude as a voice actor and I'm super happy he's
- 22:09Speaker 4: in Star Wars, I don't need his character.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Donkey does not do anything other than invoke the old
- 22:19Speaker 2: ways of the Jedi. That's it it is.
- 22:22Speaker 4: This would be a much better story if it was
- 22:26Speaker 4: just Devin.
- 22:29Speaker 2: I think, well, if it was just Devin, it would
- 22:34Speaker 2: be a completely different story because she would be vulnerable
- 22:40Speaker 2: to She would be even more vulnerable to Mal. I
- 22:46Speaker 2: think that would mean just the dynamics so much more,
- 22:49Speaker 2: which would help the character development slightly of Mal, because
- 22:54Speaker 2: then you would have these two characters interact more.
- 22:58Speaker 4: Yeah, because and I think the vulnerability enhances the story
- 23:03Speaker 4: so much more, because we like we've touched the surface
- 23:10Speaker 4: with like the Inquisitor, the third sister in Obi Wan Kenobi.
- 23:15Speaker 4: We've touched this a little bit with like the grief
- 23:18Speaker 4: and the hesitation that's involved with that oh Everybody's against
- 23:24Speaker 4: me storyline, yep. But having Devin be fully vulnerable and
- 23:31Speaker 4: not having somebody to lean on other than Maul, I
- 23:34Speaker 4: feel like it would have been a much better storyline,
- 23:37Speaker 4: because that's what they're trying to attack here, is a
- 23:41Speaker 4: the enemy of my enemy is my friend sort of thing,
- 23:45Speaker 4: and because Docky is still around, you're not getting that accomplished,
- 23:52Speaker 4: and you only have two episodes left.
- 23:54Speaker 2: Well, because like the thing is so like you're supposed
- 23:57Speaker 2: to feel and this is just an assumption here with
- 24:06Speaker 2: we know Mal has already kind of like set the
- 24:09Speaker 2: seeds for dev right and in some sort of way,
- 24:14Speaker 2: just for the fact of him talking to Devin, the
- 24:17Speaker 2: seeds have already been planted, right, And in episode eight
- 24:22Speaker 2: she has to go find a ship for everybody, and
- 24:26Speaker 2: she does it in the most Unjedi way. That is
- 24:31Speaker 2: Mal's influence right there. Though I loved it, I think
- 24:36Speaker 2: it was really fun, but doesn't really mean anything, you know,
- 24:43Speaker 2: because yes, we know that hey, that's Mal's influence right there.
- 24:47Speaker 2: That is her doing an Unjedi like thing, because of
- 24:51Speaker 2: course Doki is not there either. But in the long run,
- 24:57Speaker 2: is it going to really affect her character? We don't know.
- 25:02Speaker 2: And again this is going to a season two. Docy
- 25:06Speaker 2: might die at the end of this at the end
- 25:09Speaker 2: of this season, and then that completely changes the course
- 25:12Speaker 2: that Devin is going to take for the foreseeable future. Right,
- 25:17Speaker 2: we don't know that yet. Now, I think that that
- 25:25Speaker 2: is still a possibility. Yes, but as we see Mall
- 25:31Speaker 2: moving forward, it's hardly moving forward. And that is the
- 25:37Speaker 2: problem that we continue to see. It is the story
- 25:42Speaker 2: is about Captain Lawson, and that is it. It is.
- 25:50Speaker 2: It is a season about Captain Lawson that is surrounding Mall,
- 25:55Speaker 2: that is surrounded by Mall, excuse me. And the season
- 26:00Speaker 2: end with a big revelation that moves Maul's story forward
- 26:06Speaker 2: to where we will see him later on in the
- 26:09Speaker 2: Star Wars Cannon. Yep, that's all it's going to be,
- 26:14Speaker 2: and then season two will take us more steps forward
- 26:19Speaker 2: to that revelation at the ending of season one. Right,
- 26:23Speaker 2: so I need because like another thing that Sam Wit
- 26:30Speaker 2: were teased on, I can't remember which or what it was.
- 26:38Speaker 2: But Sam Witward basically said, or somebody asked him, like, hey,
- 26:45Speaker 2: how likely is it for Darth Maul to interact with
- 26:51Speaker 2: Darth I can't remember his name, but it's basically the
- 26:56Speaker 2: the sith quote unquote sith in GENI Survivor, there's a
- 27:04Speaker 2: there's a character that ends up there's a there's a
- 27:08Speaker 2: character that ends up being on dathamir and which is
- 27:13Speaker 2: a really cool it's a really cool boss fight and everything.
- 27:16Speaker 2: I love that part of the game. Sam were basically said, Oh,
- 27:20Speaker 2: me and the voice actor are really good friends, so
- 27:23Speaker 2: you might have a shot Like that doesn't really mean anything,
- 27:28Speaker 2: but like if you go that route, that would actually
- 27:33Speaker 2: be interesting because then you're like, hey, you're literally connecting
- 27:39Speaker 2: other pieces of the Star Wars lore that have basically
- 27:44Speaker 2: been ignored by the way, Yeah, and you're bringing that
- 27:49Speaker 2: into mall story. I'm okay with that. But again, as
- 27:57Speaker 2: we see it, it is just man. Because again I
- 28:02Speaker 2: asked you what episode three, episode four, Hey, the captain
- 28:11Speaker 2: or no, no, it was the it was the not
- 28:13Speaker 2: the captain, it was the lieutenant. I was like, hey,
- 28:17Speaker 2: do you think she's gonna live? Do you think she's
- 28:19Speaker 2: gonna die And what did you say? I'll say it
- 28:24Speaker 2: you you called it.
- 28:25Speaker 4: I was like, she's dead, She's de e a d dead,
- 28:32Speaker 4: because that's just how the Empire works, and especially this
- 28:36Speaker 4: early on in the Inquisitor scheme of things, they're really
- 28:42Speaker 4: just leaning into the dark site approach the things. So
- 28:45Speaker 4: absolutely makes sense that she's dead because somebody let loose
- 28:50Speaker 4: just a little too hard, and that's probably what happened
- 28:56Speaker 4: at the end of it. I do like the two
- 28:59Speaker 4: boots uh, like that there was at least a catalyst
- 29:03Speaker 4: tip for him to go, Okay, you know what this is.
- 29:05Speaker 4: This is bull crap, like this should not be how
- 29:09Speaker 4: this is going. So I at least appreciate that aspect
- 29:13Speaker 4: to the storyline, because we all know that we can't
- 29:17Speaker 4: let let a droid go like we need all the
- 29:20Speaker 4: good droids around. I don't remember what.
- 29:30Speaker 2: It was, well, I was talking about saying what we're
- 29:33Speaker 2: I was talking about, Oh.
- 29:36Speaker 4: The Dafhamerion, Like, especially knowing in Rebels that Maul has
- 29:42Speaker 4: a cave on Dafamir, it would one make sense for
- 29:47Speaker 4: something to intertwine there, and like you said, it would
- 29:51Speaker 4: make for a much more interesting storyline. I just think
- 29:54Speaker 4: we got bogged down between oh, we want to show
- 29:57Speaker 4: the little guy, but also we want to have a
- 30:00Speaker 4: character story on this antagonist that has become so much
- 30:03Speaker 4: more interesting. I mean really, like, I do think Mom
- 30:07Speaker 4: became more interesting when you introduced him in the Clone
- 30:10Speaker 4: Wars to Rebels. I didn't get that story live because
- 30:14Speaker 4: I watched all of those things kind of at the
- 30:16Speaker 4: same time.
- 30:17Speaker 3: I found it very intriguing.
- 30:20Speaker 4: That because it adds so much more depth to this
- 30:24Speaker 4: character that was so interesting in the Phantom Menace that
- 30:28Speaker 4: then just kind of got tossed aside. There's a lot
- 30:31Speaker 4: of floor here and the Dafa Merion, which is the
- 30:35Speaker 4: Night Sisters.
- 30:36Speaker 3: I love them.
- 30:37Speaker 4: I love getting other signes of the Force use it is.
- 30:42Speaker 3: And there's so.
- 30:44Speaker 4: Much that could have been attempted with this show that
- 30:50Speaker 4: I'm already just like I just need to write a
- 30:54Speaker 4: fan fiction apparently because at this point, just being honest,
- 31:02Speaker 4: this is probably my lowest tier Star Wars show.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Like I would put this in the category of like
- 31:20Speaker 2: the first half of bad Batch season one. Yeah, now again,
- 31:27Speaker 2: the last part of bad Batch like started to ramp up.
- 31:31Speaker 2: I know we were kind of upset at the finale
- 31:33Speaker 2: because we're like, what the hell, You're just gonna leave
- 31:35Speaker 2: us like that. But I think that, like, especially at
- 31:45Speaker 2: the beginning of bad Batch, we were having the idea
- 31:48Speaker 2: of like, oh, this is just the cameo show. Okay, yeah,
- 31:51Speaker 2: like whatever.
- 31:52Speaker 4: But this isn't even that, This isn't even tying you
- 31:55Speaker 4: into the greater Galaxy and having the cameo show, like
- 31:58Speaker 4: at least that's at little details to everybody else's story.
- 32:05Speaker 4: In this you're literally on a planet that hasn't existed
- 32:08Speaker 4: prior to this, where everything is happening on its own
- 32:13Speaker 4: side of the galaxy except the Inquisitors, and the Inquisitors
- 32:18Speaker 4: are here. But you know, all of this needs to
- 32:20Speaker 4: tie in somehow, And at this point, if you're not
- 32:24Speaker 4: going to tell original stories and you're going to play
- 32:28Speaker 4: in this side of the galaxy where oh, we all
- 32:31Speaker 4: know what happens to these characters, then need to actually
- 32:35Speaker 4: focus on those characters and make the story worth telling versus.
- 32:41Speaker 3: Because again we want to expand the galaxy.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Because again I mentioned it right before we went live,
- 32:47Speaker 2: the fact that like the one small line in this
- 32:53Speaker 2: episode eight was from the crime Boss. It's like, oh,
- 32:57Speaker 2: I just got a call from Crimson Dawn. Yep, you
- 33:00Speaker 2: know they want to meet or whatever. This puts us
- 33:03Speaker 2: on the projection to where we are at the end
- 33:07Speaker 2: of Solo, right yep. To be assumed, this story onward
- 33:18Speaker 2: to Crimson Dawn needed to be fast tracked and needed
- 33:24Speaker 2: to focus on Mal. People seem to like forget sometimes
- 33:37Speaker 2: that just because Mal is a bad person does not
- 33:42Speaker 2: mean that he cannot be a protagonist. We've talked about
- 33:46Speaker 2: this before. Protagonists and antagonists are completely different from good
- 33:51Speaker 2: guy versus bad guy. Mal is still an evil individual,
- 33:56Speaker 2: but he's the protagonist because it is supposed to be
- 33:59Speaker 2: his show. He doesn't feel like the protagonist in this
- 34:04Speaker 2: title show. It's a problem he needs to be more
- 34:11Speaker 2: focused on, and a story needs to be taking place
- 34:18Speaker 2: to move us into the next part of the timeline.
- 34:21Speaker 2: I know we kind of sound repetitive when we talk
- 34:25Speaker 2: about this, but it's a point that we need to
- 34:29Speaker 2: get across. We need to be sharing. It's not very
- 34:35Speaker 2: likely that Lucasfilm will be listening to Star Wars Alliance,
- 34:39Speaker 2: but if enough of these opinions come to surface and
- 34:44Speaker 2: people start to talk about it, the hope is that
- 34:49Speaker 2: one of the writers or one of the editors or
- 34:51Speaker 2: one of the animators somebody that is working on this
- 34:54Speaker 2: show will hear about it and be like, hey, at
- 34:59Speaker 2: our next world beating, maybe we should bring this up,
- 35:02Speaker 2: you know. And we've seen that kind of thing work before,
- 35:09Speaker 2: and I really do hope that maybe in season two
- 35:14Speaker 2: there is a dramatic change in how they go about it.
- 35:22Speaker 2: We shall see again. We had kind of talked about
- 35:26Speaker 2: how there's still a possibility at Lawson and Riley and
- 35:31Speaker 2: the mother still being a part of the story. At
- 35:37Speaker 2: this point, I kind of hope not. I really hope
- 35:42Speaker 2: Lawson and his family in their story with season one. Yeah,
- 35:50Speaker 2: that's how I That's how I'm starting to feel.
- 35:51Speaker 4: I would rather be an Underworld story versus a mix
- 35:58Speaker 4: of above board and at the end of the day, yeah,
- 36:05Speaker 4: and I really do think that concludes our discussion on
- 36:08Speaker 4: the show. Again. We don't want to we don't want
- 36:12Speaker 4: to uh keep going over the broken wheel or however
- 36:17Speaker 4: that's you.
- 36:18Speaker 2: Know, we don't we don't want to beat a dead horse.
- 36:20Speaker 2: But like I will say, also, it did get a
- 36:24Speaker 2: chuckle out of me because I do like two Boots
- 36:28Speaker 2: his go to of like, how did you know it
- 36:30Speaker 2: was me? I'm not even wearing. I still got a
- 36:34Speaker 2: chuckle out of it. Yeah, and it's if if if
- 36:39Speaker 2: Lucasfilm knows one thing, it's they know how to write
- 36:43Speaker 2: a damn good droid, which is kind of why I
- 36:50Speaker 2: need a droid show. There is a show on Netflix
- 36:58Speaker 2: that is not child appropriate. I think it's called Love,
- 37:04Speaker 2: Sex and Robots. I think I think it's called and
- 37:08Speaker 2: it's an anthology, but like it has these like robots
- 37:15Speaker 2: that have kind of this like monochromatic, like mono tone
- 37:22Speaker 2: humor that the droids have in Star Wars. And I
- 37:28Speaker 2: just think if you take what you know how to
- 37:31Speaker 2: write best and put it all into one show, you
- 37:36Speaker 2: would have a really good show. Now, there would be
- 37:38Speaker 2: people like Travis who would just be like, who the
- 37:42Speaker 2: hell asked for this? I don't need this in my
- 37:46Speaker 2: in my Star Wars. And then there would be people
- 37:48Speaker 2: like me and Taylor who would be like, we asked
- 37:53Speaker 2: for this, this is all we wanted.
- 37:56Speaker 3: As long as it's.
- 37:57Speaker 4: Not like the droid in Clone Wars.
- 38:02Speaker 2: Yes, I will say that, as long as it's not
- 38:04Speaker 2: like any jar Jar Binks episode in Clone Wars, I'm
- 38:09Speaker 2: totally fine. Because I will say as a Star Wars
- 38:13Speaker 2: fan I skipped every single jar Jar Binks episode.
- 38:20Speaker 4: Every people are going to be like, the next thing
- 38:23Speaker 4: you need to review that's a show is going to
- 38:25Speaker 4: be the Droid arc Oh no Wars and the jar
- 38:30Speaker 4: jar Binks episodes of Clone Wars.
- 38:35Speaker 2: That would be harsh. Now again, when they were live
- 38:38Speaker 2: on Cartoon Network, I was like, I'm kind of forced
- 38:42Speaker 2: to watch these, but like when it came on streaming,
- 38:46Speaker 2: I skipped it again, like whenever I want to rewatch
- 38:51Speaker 2: Clone Wars, I started like season four like that is me.
- 38:57Speaker 2: That is me. Watching Clone Wars is me like skipping
- 39:01Speaker 2: seasons one, two, and three because that's where all of
- 39:05Speaker 2: the jar Jar Binks episodes are, and then starting I'm sorry,
- 39:11Speaker 2: it's just it's just I I can't do it, like
- 39:15Speaker 2: and and I I will say, season four is where
- 39:18Speaker 2: you really get into the nitty gritty of like the
- 39:21Speaker 2: hardcore story, and I'm like, oh, this is the Clone
- 39:25Speaker 2: Wars that I want to watch. So that's that's why
- 39:27Speaker 2: I start there. But yeah, I think that's it, like there,
- 39:32Speaker 2: there is not really anything else. The last two episodes
- 39:37Speaker 2: are going to be next week. We will see how
- 39:41Speaker 2: it all ends to of course, leave us on that
- 39:44Speaker 2: cliffhanger for season two, Katie, give me one prediction for
- 39:52Speaker 2: the finale, we see dried and vice. I mean, that's
- 40:00Speaker 2: not really a prediction. I feel like that's like gonna
- 40:04Speaker 2: be a real thing. I so for real, because we've
- 40:10Speaker 2: we've technically seen him before.
- 40:14Speaker 4: We have.
- 40:16Speaker 3: Do you think Paul Bettany comes back to voice him?
- 40:18Speaker 3: Where they get somebody else?
- 40:20Speaker 2: I think they get somebody else, just like how uh
- 40:24Speaker 2: uh Kira? Just how we said Kira is not going
- 40:29Speaker 2: to be voiced by the same actor. I don't think, oh, well,
- 40:36Speaker 2: you know what, hold on.
- 40:37Speaker 3: Hold on, Betty was filming vision.
- 40:40Speaker 2: I was gonna say, it's a little bit different.
- 40:44Speaker 4: I feel like because he was filming vision at the time,
- 40:47Speaker 4: this is probably a recording.
- 40:50Speaker 2: I feel like he probably could have been. I feel
- 40:53Speaker 2: like he maybe could have like, hey, there's some extra
- 40:58Speaker 2: adr that you need to do, but also we're gonna
- 41:00Speaker 2: use this time to throw in some Star Wars lines
- 41:04Speaker 2: if you could, Okay, thank you bye.
- 41:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:06Speaker 4: Basically, so for real prediction. I really am hoping that
- 41:14Speaker 4: Dokey dies even again.
- 41:17Speaker 2: We love I love how you started. That is that
- 41:23Speaker 2: it's I really hope docy dies.
- 41:32Speaker 4: He just feels like a wasted character at this point,
- 41:37Speaker 4: so I die separate ways something like, I need a
- 41:45Speaker 4: separation here because I feel like Devin is gonna go
- 41:48Speaker 4: with Mal at the end of this. I almost feel
- 41:53Speaker 4: like it's probably gonna be Docy dies to force her
- 41:57Speaker 4: into that pathway. But I also don't think because it's
- 42:01Speaker 4: president at all, State guy.
- 42:05Speaker 2: Here's here's here's the question though. Okay, because I agree,
- 42:10Speaker 2: I think that is the easiest prediction you can throw.
- 42:13Speaker 2: But here's how I'm gonna throw a ranch in it. Okay,
- 42:18Speaker 2: is it Dryden Voss or Mal that kills him?
- 42:25Speaker 3: I'll say inquisitor.
- 42:26Speaker 2: I wouldn't say inquisitor. Yeah, I'm going to Now this
- 42:34Speaker 2: is literally your home Run lucasfilm. I know it's already
- 42:39Speaker 2: technically already animated and you can't change it. Now. Home
- 42:45Speaker 2: run would be Mal kills him and then lies about it.
- 42:54Speaker 2: I feel like that is easy manipulation one on one
- 42:59Speaker 2: that is deaf only.
- 43:00Speaker 4: Very easy manipulation. I feel like Devin though, with her
- 43:03Speaker 4: sensitivity because she since the trap and Doki confirmed it.
- 43:08Speaker 2: Oh well, Doki did say like, hey, you should trust
- 43:13Speaker 2: my padawan's intuition.
- 43:15Speaker 4: Yeah, So I don't feel like Maul can do that.
- 43:19Speaker 4: I feel like it's got to be an inquisitor.
- 43:23Speaker 3: To do it.
- 43:24Speaker 4: At this point, do you think Moroc is gonna die?
- 43:38Speaker 2: Yes? Well, okay, so here's here's Isn't that the same
- 43:44Speaker 2: suit as the dude in Ahsoka? Yes, so, assuming that
- 43:50Speaker 2: it's the exact same person, right, I don't think so
- 43:56Speaker 2: just reanimating or yeah.
- 43:58Speaker 4: I think he was reanimated and Ahsoka.
- 44:01Speaker 2: Exactly, So it could be the exact same one.
- 44:05Speaker 4: Could be it's the same suit. We don't know if
- 44:09Speaker 4: it's the same guy in it.
- 44:11Speaker 2: The true very true, that's more. I think we know
- 44:20Speaker 2: the other what is it? First brother? Yeah, the crow face? Yeah,
- 44:28Speaker 2: we know he dies at the hands of Ahsoka, so
- 44:31Speaker 2: he can't die in this right, correct? We know that
- 44:35Speaker 2: to be true. I think that it is possible that
- 44:44Speaker 2: what's his name again, Rock kills Docky.
- 44:54Speaker 4: And Devin kills Barak.
- 44:58Speaker 2: And either Mal kill Moroc or Mal and Devin kill morok. Yeah,
- 45:06Speaker 2: and that strength that strengthens the bond between like the
- 45:12Speaker 2: newly bond between Mal and Devin. Yeah.
- 45:17Speaker 4: I could see either one of those happening. So next question,
- 45:23Speaker 4: do you think Lawson gets away with it with Riley
- 45:28Speaker 4: and they make it off or do they end up
- 45:30Speaker 4: one of the first imperiod prisoners.
- 45:36Speaker 2: I'm going to say because usually usually when it comes
- 45:45Speaker 2: to any of these singular stories in Star Wars, there
- 45:52Speaker 2: is at least one person on the quote unquote good
- 45:57Speaker 2: side that as a happy ish ending.
- 46:03Speaker 4: That's what I'm thinking too, is that they're gonna make
- 46:07Speaker 4: it to a happy ending.
- 46:09Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's essentially Devin is not going to have
- 46:13Speaker 2: a happy, go lucky ending, but Lost and his family will.
- 46:18Speaker 4: Yeah. I would agree with that last question because this
- 46:22Speaker 4: wasn't revealed in these two episodes. Who do you think
- 46:25Speaker 4: Morok was talking to? And are we going to get
- 46:29Speaker 4: that person in this final up?
- 46:32Speaker 2: So the of course the assumed person would be Vader,
- 46:38Speaker 2: because Vader is of course the leader of the Inquisitors.
- 46:42Speaker 4: You wouldn't think he would go to the head Inquisitor.
- 46:47Speaker 2: Oh you think it's the Grand Inquisitor.
- 46:50Speaker 4: Yeah, the Grand Inquiztor. Sorry, guys, the air pressure has
- 46:55Speaker 4: got my brand doing things.
- 47:00Speaker 2: I think that it's a possibility that the Grand Inquisitor
- 47:05Speaker 2: could make an appearance, but I feel like like that
- 47:14Speaker 2: reveal wouldn't really do much, you know, m hmm. I
- 47:23Speaker 2: think that if anything, somebody like a Vader would hit harder.
- 47:28Speaker 2: But we've already talked about how you throw Vader in
- 47:31Speaker 2: here throws a range in the entire thing. Now the
- 47:36Speaker 2: only way that works, and I swear to god Luca's film,
- 47:40Speaker 2: I will throw something at my at my TV. If
- 47:44Speaker 2: you pull you've you've already done it once and it
- 47:47Speaker 2: worked there. If you pull a Rogue one, you can't
- 47:53Speaker 2: do it twice. You can't have lightning in a bottle twice.
- 47:57Speaker 2: You just can't, especially if people will see it. Well,
- 48:02Speaker 2: but I feel like people will literally say, oh, this
- 48:04Speaker 2: is just like Rogue one, mm hmm. And I don't
- 48:08Speaker 2: think that is a great reception, Like, I don't think
- 48:11Speaker 2: you should. I don't think you should aim for Hey,
- 48:14Speaker 2: people are gonna say, oh, this is awesome because it
- 48:16Speaker 2: was in Rogue one too, Like I don't think that works.
- 48:20Speaker 4: Yeah, I think the only way I think, the only
- 48:24Speaker 4: way I see Vader making an appearance is if it's
- 48:27Speaker 4: for a punishment at the end, like for failing to
- 48:31Speaker 4: capture Mall.
- 48:32Speaker 2: Yes, either that or the exact same way that Palpatine
- 48:38Speaker 2: was in Obi wan Kenobi, which is literally just a
- 48:42Speaker 2: hologram that I think that is the only way Vader.
- 48:49Speaker 4: Vader facing Mall at this point doesn't make a whole lot.
- 48:52Speaker 2: Of sense, Like, especially when we know that like the
- 49:02Speaker 2: pure power and skill that Vader has, and then like,
- 49:11Speaker 2: I just don't think that would make a whole lot
- 49:15Speaker 2: of sense for Mal to face Vader, just to go
- 49:21Speaker 2: through everything with rebels and then face Obi Wan two,
- 49:24Speaker 2: you know, like it it just feels like overkill in
- 49:30Speaker 2: that instance. So again, either we see Vader with a
- 49:38Speaker 2: quote unquote punishment towards the inquisitors and it be like
- 49:44Speaker 2: a really quick like we see the lightsaber turn on
- 49:49Speaker 2: and then boom in credits, or we see a hollow
- 49:56Speaker 2: net hologram of Vader talking to the inquisitors. I don't think, like,
- 50:03Speaker 2: because we've already seen Vader, not only or not Vader
- 50:08Speaker 2: Mal already in Rebels and now here face off against
- 50:12Speaker 2: inquisitors again, I feel like you don't need Darth Maul
- 50:18Speaker 2: to fight the entire inquisitor roster, so getting the Grand
- 50:23Speaker 2: Inquisitor in here would again feel like overkill. So I
- 50:28Speaker 2: think it is either presumably Vader that they're talking to
- 50:35Speaker 2: or Palpatine, but I doubt it's Palpatine. Yeah, yeah, yep, yep, yep.
- 50:45Speaker 2: But uh yeah, that is uh, that is it for
- 50:49Speaker 2: the episode. Made it under an hour this time. But
