FAM Fest Seeks Foster Families | Reno News
Washoe County’s foster system is in crisis with over 600 kids without enough homes—kids right in our neighborhoods, playing on our ball fields and sitting in our classrooms. To fill the gap, Human Services is hosting their third annual FAM Fest (Foster, Adopt, Mentor) this Saturday at Sparks Marina, featuring carnival games, food trucks, character appearances, and a movie night. They’re seeking stable, committed adults—not superheroes—to foster, adopt, or mentor. Even if you can’t open your home, come out for free to learn how you can help these kids find safety and love.
