• 4:30
Speaker 1: You know what OBD stands for.
• 4:32
Speaker 1: It's kind of on board diagnostics.
• 4:36
Speaker 1: I was going to say OB one Kenobi.
• 4:38
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 4:38
Speaker 1: Yeah, technician you are.
• 4:40
  Speaker 1: On board diagnostic.
• 4:41
Speaker 1: Yeah, so it covers 1997 to 2023 models.
• 4:45
Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, you can get that Cartek publishing.
• 4:54
  Speaker 1: Is that?
• 4:54
Speaker 1: 3695 is what that costs.
• 4:57
  Speaker 2: That's not bad.
• 4:58
  Speaker 1: So if you're a real?
• 4:58
Speaker 1: No, it's not at all.
• 4:59
Speaker 1: So if you're a real cartek person, yeah, there you go Carrying a glove box.
• 5:04
Speaker 1: I don't know about that, but you could certainly put it beside the bed on a nice quiet evening with nothing else to do.
• 5:10
Speaker 1: Scan it in Scan the codes in your car and you will go right to sleep.
• 5:14
Speaker 1: I promise you that.
• 5:15
Speaker 1: All right, a couple of other ideas Hobby Lobby you can go there today and, believe it or not, they have an automotive section in Hobby Lobby.
• 5:28
Speaker 1: Did not know that they do Ford, chevy, chrysler, mopar, baseball caps, metal advertising signs, wall art, metal cars and trucks, and it's a nice little section in there.
• 5:43
Speaker 1: Just walk right through the center of the store and it's right in that area Right next to her, they still sell plastic model cars.
• 5:49
  Speaker 1: And.
• 5:49
Speaker 3: Ravel was the brand.
• 5:51
  Speaker 3: It's not.
• 5:51
Speaker 3: It doesn't exist anymore.
• 5:54
Speaker 1: Well, it's AMT, is it's Ravel?
• 5:55
  Speaker 1: America?
• 5:56
Speaker 3: And but yeah, you can still go in there and buy plastic cars.
• 6:00
Speaker 3: Put together Department is right next to the potpourri.
• 6:03
  Speaker 3: Don't forget that.
• 6:04
  Speaker 3: The potpourri.
• 6:07
Speaker 1: How do you know that I read?
• 6:10
Speaker 2: You were drugging there.
• 6:14
  Speaker 3: How.
• 6:14
Speaker 3: Kathy's there and he's over at the car section.
• 6:18
Speaker 2: I'm just going to go in there and get a little bit of a break.
• 6:21
Speaker 1: Yeah, did you figure out how to get the potpourri to burn.
• 6:26
  Speaker 1: Now, burn.
• 6:26
Speaker 1: Well, if you want to call it that, probably zigzags.
• 6:31
Speaker 1: That's the way to, that's the key, okay, okay.
• 6:33
Speaker 1: So there's my contribution to this segment.
• 6:35
Speaker 1: So I'm thinking that you guys got something.
• 6:37
Speaker 2: Yeah, we need to talk about.
• 6:38
Speaker 2: So some of the stuff that you don't need to talk about, about we're going to talk.
• 6:42
Speaker 2: Well, we need to talk about it, we need to bring to everybody's attention.
• 6:46
Speaker 2: So it's Christmas Eve Eve and again you can do like Don said.
• 6:51
Speaker 2: There's some things you just can't get in time.
• 6:54
Speaker 2: So there's ways to work with that.
• 6:55
Speaker 2: But if you really want to go out and get something, if you want to get out and get into the Christmas spirit and got and get something, get into a couple of places you could go.
• 7:03
Speaker 2: One of them that's really handy for most people is Walmart and they've got pretty big automotive section and they do.
• 7:10
Speaker 1: And I love going there just for their automotive section.
• 7:13
Speaker 2: Well, just because they got so much stuff on there and I like the tire inflator thing.
• 7:18
Speaker 3: Well, that was good.
• 7:19
  Speaker 3: Tire inflators.
• 7:20
Speaker 2: You know, you kind of inflate the tire and flight the pool toys, this other thing that we got here, this auto driving pivoting tablet you know you're not supposed to be texting on your phone and stuff.
• 7:31
  Speaker 1: What is that?
• 7:31
Speaker 1: If you use the GPS function ways or?
• 7:35
  Speaker 2: something like that.
• 7:36
Speaker 2: You know you don't want to be looking down at it and you get something like this pivoting tablet or phone holder and you can get it up in your eyesight where you're not really looking off away from the road.
• 7:45
Speaker 3: How does that hook up?
• 7:45
  Speaker 2: It's 12 bucks.
• 7:46
Speaker 2: You know, Does it come to the windshield or it's a suction cup?
• 7:49
Speaker 3: to the windshield Plus.
• 7:53
Speaker 3: I think you can also use it for if you're doing a video videoing your drive and you want to get on YouTube or ridiculousness or something like that On ramp acceleration tests On ramp acceleration tests you know I bought a cup holder.
• 8:09
Speaker 1: You know my C5 Corvette has a cup holder.
• 8:12
Speaker 1: That's that deep, I get you, not that deep.
• 8:15
Speaker 1: Yeah, little bitty, tiny thing.
• 8:16
Speaker 1: So I it was unusable, it's worthless.
• 8:19
Speaker 1: So I went and I bought.
• 8:21
Speaker 1: It cost me 50 bucks.
• 8:22
Speaker 1: It's two cup holders, it's a plastic piece and it's got a thing that slides up underneath part of the center console and then rests on the floor.
• 8:32
Speaker 1: It has never fallen down.
• 8:34
  Speaker 1: It's perfect.
• 8:35
Speaker 1: It sits over on the passenger side Made for the Corvette.
• 8:37
Speaker 1: Yes, made for the Corvette.
• 8:39
Speaker 1: Then I went and to, went to WeatherTech and bought me a cup phone holder.
• 8:43
  Speaker 3: I like WeatherTech.
• 8:45
Speaker 1: I do too, so you put the thing in one of the cup holders and it's got a little thing that holds up my cell phone.
• 8:51
Speaker 1: So it's right there and for me it's important because I don't have Bluetooth in the car.
• 8:56
Speaker 1: So use my cell phone, plug it in, and I've got a little Bluetooth thing Stick, yeah, and it goes into what used to be the cigarette lighter and talks to the radio.
• 9:11
Speaker 2: Yeah, so on this page that we've got pulled up here from 1240A is something similar you're talking about.
• 9:17
Speaker 2: It slips down in between the seam, between the two seats, and it provides you cup holders.
• 9:22
Speaker 3: It's where your phone drops and you can't ever get it out, right.
• 9:26
Speaker 2: Well, there's devices for that, to cover that Right.
• 9:28
Speaker 3: Yeah, well, this one's got cup holders in it, yeah, which I think is probably a pretty good idea.
• 9:33
Speaker 2: Yeah, for 14 bucks, this dollar 97 for these auto drive four pack headrest hooks.
• 9:39
Speaker 2: I've got two of them in my truck and they clip onto the back of it so at the behind your seat you can hang things where hanging umbrella or you know, the dash cover hangs back there so you can just reach back there and get it.
• 9:50
Speaker 2: You're a cheap and it's an easy place to hang stuff.
• 9:54
Speaker 3: You know, if you want to be the hero of the neighborhood, the jump box, that's only 50 bucks.
• 9:58
Speaker 3: You want to get a jump box, 800 amp jump box.
• 10:02
Speaker 2: That's a really good item to have for a lot of reasons.
• 10:05
Speaker 3: And then I like these little storage container things.
• 10:08
Speaker 3: You know, you fold it out and it keeps your groceries from rolling around.
• 10:13
Speaker 1: I told Leslie this morning.
• 10:14
Speaker 1: I said you know what I want for Christmas?
• 10:16
Speaker 1: I want to have me a digital air gauge.
• 10:19
  Speaker 3: Yeah, that's that's.
• 10:20
Speaker 3: She can go to Walmart or Walmart and get them.
• 10:23
  Speaker 1: Are they?
• 10:24
  Speaker 3: accurate?
• 10:24
  Speaker 3: Yeah, they are.
• 10:25
Speaker 3: You know this one's 32, 32 bucks and you just dial in your Well, but that's that's got the compressor.
• 10:32
Speaker 2: He's talking about just a gauge to gauge.
• 10:33
Speaker 2: Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, yeah, yeah.
• 10:36
Speaker 1: Hand held digital gauge is what I need.
• 10:40
Speaker 2: You can get it.
• 10:41
Speaker 2: There's two or three of them, those old stick gauges.
• 10:45
Speaker 1: they are so inaccurate and hard to read.
• 10:47
Speaker 1: Hard to read, yeah.
• 10:49
Speaker 3: I thought yours had the Corvette's got it in the dash, doesn't it?
• 10:52
Speaker 3: You can read all four tire pressures in the dash.
• 10:54
Speaker 1: Well it does, but I you know when you're filling it up.
• 10:57
Speaker 1: You want to get it right.
• 10:59
Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't want to wait five miles down the road for it to kind of get a reading.
• 11:03
Speaker 1: No, you didn't put an extra pound in the left rear, okay.
• 11:09
Speaker 2: Yep, there's all kinds of vacuum tools and cleaning tools.
• 11:13
  Speaker 2: Those are important.
• 11:17
Speaker 3: Well, what are they, Jeff?
• 11:18
  Speaker 2: The Fire.
• 11:18
  Speaker 3: Headlight Coating.
• 11:20
  Speaker 2: Well, there's, there's a vacuum.
• 11:21
Speaker 2: Is there a vacuum?
• 11:22
Speaker 2: Yeah, this is a car cleaning kit.
• 11:23
Speaker 2: Yeah, car cleaning kit.
• 11:24
Speaker 2: It's got some attachments to get down between the seats and snow brush and ice scraper.
• 11:29
Speaker 3: We need that a lot here.
• 11:31
Speaker 1: I will tell you that I did buy last year.
• 11:34
Speaker 1: I did buy a very nice little tire pump Boy.
• 11:39
Speaker 1: Am I glad I did too, because I got that great big nail in the tire.
• 11:42
Speaker 1: Coming back from the was I think it was a hot rod tour and I had to stop every couple of miles to fill it up because you know I have a run flat tire.
• 11:52
Speaker 1: It has, you know, there's no spare and I limped it home, got it home and it had this great big.
• 11:57
Speaker 1: It was a drill actually about that long that was in there.
• 12:00
Speaker 1: Hmm, oh, wow, yeah.
• 12:02
Speaker 3: Then they have the microfiber dust mop that stretches out to 48 inches, mop, the whole car in one shell.
• 12:09
Speaker 2: Well, I mean for getting up in the dash, particularly some like your Corvettes.
• 12:13
Speaker 2: It's got a pretty long, yeah long hood, but it's a long dash because of the way it goes up underneath the glass, a foam cannon.
• 12:21
Speaker 3: There you go, all the detail guys we have on.
• 12:24
Speaker 1: Well, not only that, but I think that we need to have a foam cannon party in the backyard during one of the spring shows.
• 12:31
Speaker 1: It's nice and warm outside.
• 12:32
Speaker 2: What's the dress code?
• 12:33
  Speaker 2: It's what I'm thinking.
• 12:33
Speaker 2: You know what the dress code is Speedo, speedo.
• 12:36
Speaker 3: Speedo Especially for you, conrad.
• 12:38
  Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know if I do a speedo.
• 12:40
Speaker 1: You're so famous, I'm just doing a thong.
• 12:43
Speaker 3: Oh lord, I just threw up in my bag.
• 12:45
Speaker 3: Hey look, Walmart sells handicapped plackers.
• 12:49
Speaker 2: We just lost 13 countries.
• 12:52
Speaker 1: Handicapped plackers Do we need those yeah?
• 12:55

• 13:09

  Speaker 1: Well, I know.
• 13:11

• 13:27
  Speaker 3: It's a brand.

• 13:28
Speaker 3: Oh okay, come on you got to keep up.
• 13:30
Speaker 2: Yeah, If you got to be funny, if you got to explain it, it's not funny.
• 13:34
Speaker 2: Anyway, 20 bucks in here.
• 13:36
  Speaker 2: I'll take it.
• 13:39
Speaker 1: Okay, hey Becky you know what we need to do.
• 13:41
Speaker 1: You know Walmart's like they're supposed to buying, buying the gifts next year for our white elephant thing at our lunch.

• 13:53
Speaker 1: Write out what you want.
• 13:54
Speaker 1: It's under $25 and then we'll get it and it's opening up stuff.
• 14:03
Speaker 1: Well, there is that.
• 14:04
Speaker 1: Hey, I'm playing with that little race guy.
• 14:06
Speaker 2: Yeah, red line racer, red line.

  Speaker 2: Oh, he's hilarious.
• 14:10
Speaker 3: I love it, I love it, the other thing that's really good is this sunglasses?

Speaker 2: We need to put it in here.
• 14:22
Speaker 2: Let's look at the weather tech.
• 14:24
Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm a huge fan of weather tech.
• 14:26
Speaker 3: Every time Rochelle changes cars I get her a new set of weather techs.
• 14:29
Speaker 3: But their floor mats are awesome.
• 14:32
  Speaker 3: They fit.
• 14:33
Speaker 3: They hold puddles of stuff, the seat cover.
• 14:36
Speaker 3: Puddles are pitles Okay.
• 14:38
Speaker 3: Depends on how far you've been driving the sunshade, which is custom made for the vehicle.
• 14:46
Speaker 2: What is this under the seat measurement?
• 14:48
Speaker 3: Oh, is that for like a truck, a pickup truck?

• 15:43
Speaker 2: Oh, you got to put them on the mic.
• 15:44
Speaker 2: He needs a little headset.
• 15:48
Speaker 2: You need to get a little headset for him, mike.
• 15:51
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, we'll get my headset over to stretch over there so you can actually see the boys in their toys.
• 16:01
Speaker 1: I know Well, christmas edition, here we go.
• 16:05
Speaker 2: You want something that just a lot of fun, that doesn't take a lot of energy and it noise.
• 16:10
Speaker 3: The crap out of your.
• 16:10
  Speaker 3: I love it.
• 16:13
Speaker 1: So let me see if.

• 16:17
Speaker 1: Yep Ready, here we go Hold it up a little bit higher.
• 16:37
  Speaker 2: There you go.
• 16:44
Speaker 3: That's the rev limiter the slam, it reverse stocking my daughter or are you?
• 16:57
Speaker 2: know that the background and I personally started as turned on because it was a just turn the key in the show after a couple of minutes.
• 17:04
Speaker 2: So she was that.
• 17:06
Speaker 2: Is that your mother's pulling?
• 17:07
Speaker 2: In the garage and then got a lot of camshaft overlap the speakers underneath do it right you can hear it good boys and their toys.
• 17:47
Speaker 3: Now we've lost the other forty one we're down to two hundred.
• 18:03
Speaker 1: Oh, no, no, no no no, no, it's a nickname.
• 18:06
  Speaker 1: It's a nickname.
• 18:07
Speaker 1: Rat is his name.
• 18:09
Speaker 1: So there you have it.
• 18:11
Speaker 1: Just leave it this week in auto history time to change gears.
• 18:17
Speaker 1: You better shift it, let's shift it.
• 18:20
Speaker 3: Shift it up, shift it right now.
• 18:22
Speaker 3: So this week in nineteen, oh three, I'm not even sure if I'm ready well, the Wright brothers and I know this isn't much to do with wheels, other than they were bicycle guys have their first powered flight.
• 18:36
Speaker 3: At approximately ten thirty five am, wilbur Wilbur watched his brother Orville took off from the beaches outside of Kitty Hawk, north Carolina, making it the first time a powered, heavier than air machine would achieve controlled, sustained flight with a pilot on board.
• 18:54
Speaker 3: He crashed twelve seconds later.
• 18:57
Speaker 3: Oh boy, kind of tore up the plane, but um, you know, I always thought that was kind of cool.
• 19:01
Speaker 3: You know that's that bicycle guys built that.
• 19:05
Speaker 3: Did he get his luggage airplane?
• 19:07
Speaker 3: now they forgot his luggage in uh in uh, charlotte.
• 19:11
Speaker 3: And then in nineteen, forty, nine, the first sob car, sob's first production passenger car, the ninety two began rolling off the Trottin' Holand that's a perfect Trot Trot.
• 19:25
Speaker 1: Holand, holand whatever it is assembly plant.
• 19:28
Speaker 3: You know that was a two-stroke car.
• 19:30
Speaker 3: A lot of the early sobs were two-strokes.
• 19:33
Speaker 3: He had to fill it up with gas and oil at the same time and then in nineteen seventy two, the final lunar rover vehicle was left on the moon, another million-dollar thing from the government that they built three of them, left all three of them up there on the moon and uh, you know, kind of a shout out to um, um, buzz is it was an EV, it was a pure EV and it was.
• 20:00
Speaker 3: Apollo 17 was the last flight.
• 20:02
Speaker 1: Apollo 17 was the last can you imagine what those things are going to look like and be worth it?
• 20:06
Speaker 3: talk about a barn find when you go back up there into a tree and bring it back, and I think it still has solar panels to recharge itself.
• 20:14
Speaker 3: So it's been sitting up there recharging all this time.
• 20:16
Speaker 3: So by now, after what thirty, five, forty years, it may have fully recharged itself.
• 20:21
Speaker 3: Tell our range anxiety, range anxiety on the moon.
• 20:26
Speaker 3: And it only went twenty point one kilometers per day.
• 20:30
Speaker 3: Hmm, and they, uh, they left and abandoned it on the moon.
• 20:35
Speaker 3: Okay, in nineteen, eighty, nine, roger and me debuted.
• 20:38
Speaker 3: Uh, I made record profits in the nineteen eighties for General Motors.
• 20:42
Speaker 3: Uh, back before she got in charge, a series of decisions approved by General Motors CEO Roger Smith, who was another dirtbag uh, led to the closing of several GM plants in Flint, michigan.
• 20:54
Speaker 3: You were up there back then, weren't you?
• 20:56
Speaker 3: As they closed Flint, basically devastated Flint as a community.
• 21:01
Speaker 3: Uh, they closed all the assembly plants there, put thousands and thirty thousand people out of work.
• 21:05
Speaker 3: Um, more wished to bring uh Smith to Flint to show him how his actions affected the people, and Smith probably could care less.
• 21:16
Speaker 3: Roger was all about just making money.
• 21:18
Speaker 3: Um, and the film detailed the economics.
• 21:21
Speaker 3: You ever watched that?
• 21:21
Speaker 3: Yeah, I've never seen the movie.
• 21:24
  Speaker 3: No real interest.
• 21:25
Speaker 3: And then in two thousand and nine funny that it happened in the same week GM announced it will shut down sob.
• 21:33
  Speaker 3: Despite GM's involvement.
• 21:35
Speaker 3: Sob faced financial challenges in the two thousand General Motors worthless car worthless cool, cool, cool.
• 21:41
Speaker 2: Did you ever drive one?
• 21:43
Speaker 1: yes, I did, it was weird and it was ugly.
• 21:45
Speaker 1: Truly weird, and it was just nothing, nothing redeeming about it, whatsoever in my opinion but they had.
• 21:51
Speaker 3: They had a loyal fan following.
• 21:53
Speaker 3: But I agree, kind of a weird car, a lot of weird features to the car.
• 21:58
Speaker 3: And who are the fans?
• 21:59
Speaker 1: people, who own them?
• 22:00
Speaker 2: yeah, I'm sure the couple down the street yeah, they're handicapped.
• 22:05
  Speaker 3: I believe.
• 22:05
Speaker 3: Okay, so that was, and that was the end of sob.
• 22:09
Speaker 1: Well, goodbye 60 year run.
• 22:13
Speaker 3: Well, that was about 59 too many oh, and then I know Mike had uh posted this on our Facebook page.
• 22:20
Speaker 3: Uh, so long to uh.
• 22:22
Speaker 3: Race car champion, race car team champion owner, don Schumer Schumacher passed away this week.
• 22:31
Speaker 1: A great loss to motorsports, yeah, I remember back when he got into drag racing on the national scale back in the 70s and he was that, that was back in the match racing days, and he was a big player in all of that.
• 22:46
Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, back then.
• 22:47
Speaker 1: And um, yeah, and most recently, you know, he dissolved his I don't know nine car team.
• 22:55
Speaker 3: Yeah, both the funny car and top fuel dragsters and part of it was picked up by Tony Stewart part of it, antron Brown took over part of it and they still have DSR, I believe is still building chassis for other people.
• 23:09
Speaker 3: A lot of safety innovations.
• 23:10
  Speaker 1: It was uh.
• 23:12
  Speaker 1: It's a shame, but uh.
• 23:13

• 23:47
Speaker 1: But farts was the culprit.

• 24:09

• 24:53
  Speaker 1: Pull my finger.
• 24:54
Speaker 1: Some tests went viral, with one user trying to get a dealership website to sell him a 2024 Chevy Tahoe for a dollar.
• 25:01
