Thewords “could no longer endure it” reveal Paul's heart. He had beenforced to leave Thessalonica because of the persecution there. He wanted toreturn, but as we saw yesterday, he said, “Satan hindered us.” So Pauldid the next best thing. He sent Timothy. And notice how highly Paul speaks ofthis young man.
