- 0:00Speaker 1: When I say no, it opens up space for the
- 0:03Speaker 1: hell yes somewhere else. Sometimes I will say no to
- 0:07Speaker 1: something so that I can say yes to protecting my piece.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Hey, everybody, Emily Abadi coming to you from the Age Studio.
- 0:33Speaker 2: You are listening to episode two hundred and five of Hurdle,
- 0:38Speaker 2: a wellness focus podcast where I connect with everyone from
- 0:40Speaker 2: your favorite athletes to top experts and industry CEOs about
- 0:44Speaker 2: their highest highs, toughest moments, and everything in between. We
- 0:49Speaker 2: all go through hurdles in life, and my goal through
- 0:52Speaker 2: these discussions is to empower you to better navigate yours
- 0:55Speaker 2: and move with intention so that you can stride towards
- 0:58Speaker 2: your own big potential and of course have some fun
- 1:03Speaker 2: along the way. Today I am bringing you up my
- 1:06Speaker 2: conversation with tonday Oi Nane that you know and.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Love her from the Peloton Bike.
- 1:12Speaker 2: This is her third appearance here on Hurdle, and I
- 1:16Speaker 2: am so so excited to have her here talking about
- 1:20Speaker 2: a bunch of things, including her upcoming book Speak, Find
- 1:24Speaker 2: your voice, trust your gut, and get from where you
- 1:27Speaker 2: are to where you want to be.
- 1:30Speaker 3: For today's episode, we're really catching up.
- 1:32Speaker 2: We're talking about the last couple of years and a
- 1:34Speaker 2: lot of the really special topics that are in her book.
- 1:38Speaker 2: You know, this woman crazy busy leading. After this launch,
- 1:41Speaker 2: we're chatting about what soul care, as she loves to
- 1:44Speaker 2: call it, looks like these days, a topic she introduced
- 1:47Speaker 2: on the show last time. Also how it feels for
- 1:50Speaker 2: her to be more established in her career right now.
- 1:53Speaker 2: She opens her book, I'm a fitness instructor and a
- 1:56Speaker 2: Nike athlete, And these are two designations, two ways she
- 2:00Speaker 2: identifies that have really come into light over the last
- 2:05Speaker 2: few years. She's really stepped into this beautiful role as
- 2:07Speaker 2: a peloton instructor. She landed this really amazing opportunity with Nike,
- 2:11Speaker 2: and I ask her how she feels about that, How
- 2:14Speaker 2: she feels when she closes her eyes and puts herself
- 2:16Speaker 2: maybe into the body of her younger self.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Would she even believe it?
- 2:21Speaker 2: We also talk about the idea of your calling and
- 2:24Speaker 2: if everyone has the same opportunity to lead a life
- 2:27Speaker 2: where you get to chase that calling, how to navigate
- 2:30Speaker 2: unexpected challenges, how to embrace authenticity, and what else She's
- 2:35Speaker 2: excited about where she's going, what's coming next. So much
- 2:37Speaker 2: goodness in this conversation. So grateful for my girl tune
- 2:40Speaker 2: day and her time. And I'm also really amped a
- 2:43Speaker 2: going to her live show this week in New York City.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Love supporting my people.
- 2:47Speaker 2: I love the vibe of this conversation and happy to
- 2:50Speaker 2: share it with you.
- 2:51Speaker 3: I'm coming off of a really special trip to Germany.
- 2:54Speaker 2: I went out there to attend the Adidas Roads to
- 2:56Speaker 2: Records event. They ran a three different distance races is
- 3:00Speaker 2: the five k to ten k and the half marathon,
- 3:02Speaker 2: encouraging some of their professional athletes to go after new
- 3:06Speaker 2: personal records. And the whole environment super motivating, super exciting.
- 3:11Speaker 2: I'm so grateful that I got to be a part
- 3:13Speaker 2: of it. It was great to have some time strolling
- 3:15Speaker 2: around the streets of a town called Erlog in my
- 3:18Speaker 2: German not good after all of the festivities were done,
- 3:23Speaker 2: and getting my German fear and gelato and yeah, it
- 3:28Speaker 2: was just a nice little.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Breath of fresh air.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Spring has sprung and I am feeling amped. Make sure
- 3:35Speaker 2: you're following along with the show over at Hurdle podcast.

- 3:46Speaker 2: It is always always appreciated. Links to do all of
- 3:49Speaker 2: this are in the show notes. With that, let's get
- 3:54Speaker 2: to hurdling.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Today.
- 4:06Speaker 2: I am sitting down with my girl tune day. How
- 4:09Speaker 2: you doing today, my friend?
- 4:10Speaker 1: Hey, you're off? Hey, Hey, how are you okay?
- 4:15Speaker 2: I'm good, I'm good. You are joining an elite club
- 4:18Speaker 2: of people. This is your third appearance on Hurdle. Your
- 4:22Speaker 2: first appearance on Hurdle back in February twenty twenty one,
- 4:26Speaker 2: your second appearance May twenty twenty one.
- 4:29Speaker 4: It's been a minute.
- 4:30Speaker 1: I know. I thought this was gonna be like a
- 4:33Speaker 1: once a quarter thing, but I'm down with once a year.
- 4:37Speaker 2: But if you wanted to be once a quarter, girlfriend,
- 4:40Speaker 2: I'm sure we can find something to talk about.
- 4:42Speaker 4: What's a quarter? How are we feeling?
- 4:45Speaker 1: I'm doing good today with a little bit of a
- 4:47Speaker 1: wild day and still I'm doing pretty great, very energized. Today.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I feeling good.
- 4:53Speaker 2: If you had to pick two highlights, I know two
- 4:56Speaker 2: is like not many, but two from the last year
- 5:02Speaker 2: since we last spoke.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Do you have anything to pop in with me?
- 5:05Speaker 1: One? I have a book coming out on May third
- 5:08Speaker 1: called Speak Find your Voice, Trust your gut, and get
- 5:11Speaker 1: from where you are to where you want to be.
- 5:14Speaker 1: In the third grade, I said that I wanted to
- 5:16Speaker 1: write a book before I'd lived the lessons that I
- 5:19Speaker 1: will speak to in this book. And so now that
- 5:23Speaker 1: moment's here, that moment's arrived at feels really good. And
- 5:27Speaker 1: then number two, I am Nike's first ever trainer to
- 5:33Speaker 1: be named Nike Athlete, and so to have a partnership
- 5:38Speaker 1: with Nike, to be the first anything with Nike is
- 5:43Speaker 1: like beyond beyond what I would have ever thought was possible.
- 5:50Speaker 1: So yeah, girl, so many when in the last three
- 5:56Speaker 1: hundred and sixty five days, And with that is so
- 6:00Speaker 1: much gratitude, an immense level of gratitude not only for
- 6:05Speaker 1: all the opportunities, but to the community at Heloton who's
- 6:09Speaker 1: made this possible for me. Gratitude with self for believing
- 6:14Speaker 1: myself worthy, for believing myself able, capable, for trying, for
- 6:19Speaker 1: never giving up. Lots of gratitude.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Before we talk about speak, I want to touch on
- 6:28Speaker 2: something knowing how busy that you've been and how busy
- 6:33Speaker 2: you've embraced being as of recently that you and I
- 6:37Speaker 2: spoke about, I believe it was your first episode of
- 6:42Speaker 2: hurdle and which I know that you do speak too often,
- 6:45Speaker 2: and that is the idea of soul care. How is Tunday,
- 6:50Speaker 2: in the craziness of everything that's going on, making sure
- 6:55Speaker 2: I'm looking at you.
- 6:57Speaker 4: To get that soul care.
- 7:00Speaker 1: It's tough. Let me not mislead you my soul care.
- 7:03Speaker 1: In the last few weeks, as we're leading up to
- 7:06Speaker 1: this tour, my soul care has come in like little
- 7:09Speaker 1: micro doses of soul care, like five minutes here, five
- 7:12Speaker 1: minutes there, three minutes pure, a minute of stillness there,
- 7:17Speaker 1: a song that I play on repeat, like that's one
- 7:20Speaker 1: of the things I do play the same song. My
- 7:23Speaker 1: soul care comes in doses. You know I've said this before,
- 7:27Speaker 1: but you know soul care for me, sometimes it's just
- 7:30Speaker 1: say no. When I say no, it opens up space
- 7:34Speaker 1: for hell yes somewhere else. Sometimes I will say no
- 7:38Speaker 1: to something so that I can say yes to protecting
- 7:44Speaker 1: my piece, because if my piece isn't protected, if I'm
- 7:48Speaker 1: not good, then what is it for. Yeah, I have
- 7:53Speaker 1: to be good to me so that I can be
- 7:54Speaker 1: good to other people. When I'm not showing up for myself,
- 7:57Speaker 1: I'm not showing up for other people. My job requires
- 8:00Speaker 1: me to show up for other people. And so if
- 8:03Speaker 1: I can't do that for self first, then I have
- 8:08Speaker 1: nothing to pour.
- 8:09Speaker 2: When you are super burnt out, where do you dig
- 8:13Speaker 2: from for the gratitude in what you do to keep
- 8:17Speaker 2: showing up anyway? Because I know that that's where you
- 8:20Speaker 2: have to reach in those really tough moments people.
- 8:24Speaker 1: I'm big on energy and frequency and vibe and feeling
- 8:28Speaker 1: people's vibes. Like you know, it'll be a Saturday and
- 8:32Speaker 1: I'm in that studio and then Alex Hussaint walks in,
- 8:34Speaker 1: and Alex like carries a high vibration. He just walks
- 8:40Speaker 1: around nightly. You know. Adriane is another one where I
- 8:45Speaker 1: almost feel uncomfortable being in a bad mood around Adriane
- 8:49Speaker 1: because he's just pure sunshine. And so I absorb that
- 8:51Speaker 1: stuff my friends. I have friends who will remind me,
- 8:55Speaker 1: like you know, of the beginning and then when someone
- 8:59Speaker 1: faces you, you and you have to stand in front
- 9:01Speaker 1: of a mirror and see your reflection and recall or
- 9:05Speaker 1: count on the beginning. Two. There's so much gratitude in
- 9:10Speaker 1: that we are so busy chasing the goal that not
- 9:15Speaker 1: only do we not enjoy the journey, but we often
- 9:19Speaker 1: we're moving so straight ahead, even though success isn't only near,
- 9:22Speaker 1: it's up and down, highs, low's valleys, dips, bends, misdirections,
- 9:28Speaker 1: right direction. We are so focused on ahead that we
- 9:31Speaker 1: forget to look back. And when you look back, you
- 9:35Speaker 1: can see all the shit. You can see all of
- 9:42Speaker 1: the friction. You can see everything that you moved through.
- 9:47Speaker 1: My friends, they're they're the mirror. They're the mirror that
- 9:52Speaker 1: that I see my reflection and they remind me. And
- 9:56Speaker 1: you can't but feel gratitude when you remember.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Definitely, definitely, And I love how when I asked you
- 10:07Speaker 2: two of the things that really resonated with you from
- 10:10Speaker 2: this past year or two of your highlights, you undoubtedly
- 10:13Speaker 2: said the book coming out shortly, but also mentioned being
- 10:17Speaker 2: a Nike athlete. And I noticed, because spoiler alert, I've
- 10:22Speaker 2: seen your book that the first line of it you write,
- 10:26Speaker 2: I'm a fitness instructor and Nike athlete. Now, when I
- 10:30Speaker 2: say that back to you, if you close your eyes
- 10:34Speaker 2: right now and like put your current self in the
- 10:38Speaker 2: body of Tune day a decade ago, how does that
- 10:44Speaker 2: make you feel?
- 10:46Speaker 1: Twenty six? Tun Ate twenty six makes me feel proud
- 10:52Speaker 1: of myself, proud of myself for believing myself.
- 10:55Speaker 4: And what do you mean by believing yourself, not.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Believing that it was worthy, believing myself worth be capable
- 11:02Speaker 1: believing my intuition. You know, I think it was the
- 11:05Speaker 1: first time. Remember was second time we met via podcast World,
- 11:09Speaker 1: and I talked about that blue light experience where I
- 11:13Speaker 1: saw this, this, this time, everything that's happening right now,
- 11:17Speaker 1: I saw this in a vision. After my very first
- 11:19Speaker 1: cycling class, I knew that I'd be cycling for the
- 11:21Speaker 1: rest of my life. I knew that I'd be teaching it.
- 11:23Speaker 1: I knew that i'd be teaching it on the world's
- 11:25Speaker 1: with this platform able to connect with tens of thousands
- 11:28Speaker 1: of millions of people. After my very first second class,
- 11:30Speaker 1: without knowing what Peloton was, I saw it. I was clear,
- 11:34Speaker 1: it was clear, and I was certain. I am so
- 11:38Speaker 1: proud of myself for trusting that divine download. I am
- 11:45Speaker 1: so proud of myself for believing that intuition listening to
- 11:52Speaker 1: its call. I could have easily said it was a
- 11:53Speaker 1: dre dream, Oh I'm just thinking about something, But instead
- 11:57Speaker 1: I trusted it for what it was, and that's hard
- 12:01Speaker 1: to do. Authenticity is the intersection of trust and truth.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Authenticity is the intersection of trust and truth when you
- 12:07Speaker 1: trust yourself enough to show up as you truly are.
- 12:13Speaker 1: I'm proud that in this moment, I am able to
- 12:17Speaker 1: show up as me because me, I am good enough.
- 12:23Speaker 1: I am not perfect, I do not pretend to be,
- 12:28Speaker 1: and I am me, and that's good enough.
- 12:35Speaker 2: In the way that you speak, and I you know,
- 12:38Speaker 2: it's funny because I've learned so much about the way
- 12:42Speaker 2: that I speak from editing myself over and over and
- 12:47Speaker 2: over again, as I'm sure you've learned a lot about
- 12:50Speaker 2: the way that you speak, watching your classes over and
- 12:55Speaker 2: over and over again and seeing the you know, the
- 12:58Speaker 2: Instagram posts of the things that you're saying.
- 13:02Speaker 4: Over and over and over again.
- 13:03Speaker 2: But one of the things I love about the way
- 13:04Speaker 2: that you speak is when you say something and you
- 13:09Speaker 2: go and say it again, and it's something that is
- 13:15Speaker 2: not signature or exclusive to tune day, but I think
- 13:20Speaker 2: it's very effective.
- 13:22Speaker 4: Do you notice that you're doing that?
- 13:26Speaker 1: Mm hmm, Yes and no. I think that power and
- 13:31Speaker 1: purpose are connected. I think that your power is connected
- 13:37Speaker 1: to your purpose when you're living in purpose, on purpose
- 13:40Speaker 1: of purpose, moving in purpose on purpose of purpose, speaking
- 13:46Speaker 1: in purpose with purpose, on purpose of purpose, when that
- 13:50Speaker 1: chant almost comes over me, the chant being like a rhythm,
- 13:55Speaker 1: the rhythm that causes me to repeat something. Those are
- 14:03Speaker 1: the moments where I'm so connected to a higher frequency.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Those are the moments when so connected to my power.
- 14:17Speaker 1: And so do I say something knowing that I'm about
- 14:21Speaker 1: to repeat it? No, I don't go into to repeat it.
- 14:25Speaker 1: But the tingle that comes over my body when I
- 14:29Speaker 1: say something, the drum that comes over my body when
- 14:35Speaker 1: I say something that I know needs to be repeated,
- 14:39Speaker 1: that's what guides that. In the book, I say sometimes
- 14:43Speaker 1: in the book, I speak to it, and I say
- 14:44Speaker 1: sometimes when I'm teaching a class, I repeat things twice
- 14:50Speaker 1: so that the writer has the opportunity to absorb it,
- 14:55Speaker 1: so that I have the opportunity to absorb it. And
- 15:00Speaker 1: so me repeating that moment, in that repeating what I'm
- 15:04Speaker 1: saying in that high frequency moment, it's for the listener
- 15:09Speaker 1: and it's for me. We're absorbing it together.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Yeah, because that's kind of what I gather from that
- 15:15Speaker 2: vocal infection from you. It's as though the sentence comes
- 15:19Speaker 2: out and it's almost as though whether I'm looking at
- 15:23Speaker 2: you or I'm not looking at you, I can hear
- 15:25Speaker 2: it within your voice that you know I need to
- 15:28Speaker 2: say that one more time because I need to absorb that.
- 15:32Speaker 2: I want to come back to that. I want to
- 15:34Speaker 2: revisit that. And that's really special because it is indicative,
- 15:38Speaker 2: I would say, of that alignment and of that passion
- 15:42Speaker 2: and of that purpose. Something else that I know that
- 15:46Speaker 2: you speak to a lot. Aligning with those words of
- 15:49Speaker 2: passion and purpose is your calling. And in the book
- 15:52Speaker 2: you write, here's the thing about your calling. It doesn't
- 15:55Speaker 2: come with instructions. It's like getting into a car with
- 15:58Speaker 2: a destination but no map. You know where you're supposed
- 16:01Speaker 2: to go, but you don't know how to get there,
- 16:03Speaker 2: so you get in the car and you just start driving.
- 16:07Speaker 2: My question for you when it comes to your calling
- 16:10Speaker 2: is do.
- 16:12Speaker 4: You think that you are.
- 16:17Speaker 2: Lucky that you get to live out your calling every day?
- 16:22Speaker 2: Do you think that everyone has that opportunity to align
- 16:25Speaker 2: their work with their calling, or do you think that
- 16:29Speaker 2: they don't always need to be one in the same.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Hm. That's tough. I think two years ago I would
- 16:37Speaker 1: have said lucky. Now I would say to chop it
- 16:41Speaker 1: all up to luck would be doing myself a disservice.
- 16:46Speaker 1: I think. I agree preparation meets opportunity meets some luck
- 16:51Speaker 1: because I say some luck because there are people that
- 16:53Speaker 1: prepare and then the opportunity and you know it doesn't happen.
- 16:57Speaker 1: So yeah, there's definitely you know, maybe a bit of
- 17:00Speaker 1: magic in there, right, But I would top magic up
- 17:03Speaker 1: to like manifestation as well, like really really really believing,
- 17:08Speaker 1: really putting it out there.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Can we hash on manifestation for a second, because I
- 17:12Speaker 2: know that you earlier were talking about, you know, that
- 17:16Speaker 2: firm manifestation and belief that you were going to be
- 17:18Speaker 2: teaching cycling on the world's biggest cycling platform. And I'm
- 17:22Speaker 2: sure that there are a handful of people that are
- 17:24Speaker 2: listening to this that want and do dream that big,
- 17:32Speaker 2: but feel as though their manifestation just isn't working for them.
- 17:37Speaker 2: It's not happening. They're getting frustrated with the process. Perhaps,
- 17:42Speaker 2: what do you say to that person?
- 17:45Speaker 1: I mean, look, I didn't just like decide I wanted to.
- 17:48Speaker 1: I didn't just have this blue light vision, this divine
- 17:51Speaker 1: and download and then you know, fairy tales and butterflies
- 17:55Speaker 1: and everything was great. No, I went back to la
- 17:57Speaker 1: I was in New York when this vision came. I
- 18:00Speaker 1: went back to LA told myself that that I couldn't
- 18:04Speaker 1: do it. I don't look like an instructor. I don't
- 18:06Speaker 1: sound like an instructor. Who the hell would find me motivating?
- 18:09Speaker 1: What would I even say to people? Nobody wants to
- 18:10Speaker 1: look at me on a bike? These are all the
- 18:12Speaker 1: things that I told myself. My friends called me a liar.
- 18:16Speaker 1: When I said those things about myself, my friends called
- 18:19Speaker 1: me a liar. I talked about my friends in the book.
- 18:20Speaker 1: I say that my friends aren't just friends, like yeah,
- 18:23Speaker 1: I got friends, and then I got like people people
- 18:26Speaker 1: people friends, and it's a very short list of my people.
- 18:30Speaker 1: I like it in the book to the Meredith Gray
- 18:33Speaker 1: and Christina Yang friendship like people, I said all those things,
- 18:38Speaker 1: those are all the reasons I wouldn't be able to
- 18:41Speaker 1: do it. See this vision through, And they called me
- 18:44Speaker 1: a liar. And I was lying to myself, not to them.
- 18:49Speaker 1: They knew what was really under There was fear, fear, spear.
- 18:53Speaker 1: I was allowing fear to steer. I was allowing fear
- 18:55Speaker 1: to hold me hostage. Then I moved through that fear,
- 18:59Speaker 1: and I do anyways awesome, still not a fairy tell story.
- 19:03Speaker 1: I auditioned for a Peloton, had a wonderful audition, couldn't
- 19:09Speaker 1: have gone any better, got rave reviews after the audition,
- 19:15Speaker 1: and then I didn't get the job. A month later
- 19:17Speaker 1: they called me and said we won't be moving forward,
- 19:19Speaker 1: or emailed me and said we won't be moving forward
- 19:21Speaker 1: with your candidacy. Thank you. Yeah, And so then you know,
- 19:25Speaker 1: you go through this stage where for me it wasn't
- 19:27Speaker 1: just you didn't I didn't get a job. It wasn't
- 19:28Speaker 1: that get a job. It was I've seen something and
- 19:32Speaker 1: I believed it to be so true, trusted myself fully,
- 19:39Speaker 1: and then realized that was wrong until I then realized
- 19:44Speaker 1: that I wasn't wrong, and I realized that my life
- 19:47Speaker 1: when I looked at my life thirty six years, it's
- 19:50Speaker 1: been thirty six years of collecting data. Data shows me
- 19:53Speaker 1: that things are going my way, even when they're not
- 19:55Speaker 1: going my way, that they ultimately go my way. And
- 19:58Speaker 1: I've experienced a lot of loss in my life, a
- 20:01Speaker 1: lot of trauma, and still things believe things that are happening,
- 20:08Speaker 1: they end up working moving in my favor. You don't
- 20:13Speaker 1: realize you know something happens, you say shit that you know,
- 20:18Speaker 1: why is this happening? And then five years later you see, okay,
- 20:21Speaker 1: that had to happen for this happened. Ten years later
- 20:24Speaker 1: you see, oh okay, well that little piece had to
- 20:27Speaker 1: fall and land in that perfect spot because this was
- 20:30Speaker 1: a result of that not happening or that happening. I
- 20:33Speaker 1: was not supposed to get the job with Polton the
- 20:35Speaker 1: first time around. I wasn't. I realized that now there
- 20:38Speaker 1: was there was players that had changed. I was supposed
- 20:42Speaker 1: to start the job when I started the job, and
- 20:44Speaker 1: not a day sooner. So yeah, it was. It wasn't
- 20:50Speaker 1: a Kumbai yah story, and it wasn't easy. There wasn't
- 20:55Speaker 1: a needing story that I got here. And I say
- 20:57Speaker 1: that to speak to the person who's going through whatever
- 21:01Speaker 1: they're going through.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Yeah, And I think that, as you say in the book,
- 21:06Speaker 2: like these unexpected challenges, these hurdle moments, so to speak,
- 21:09Speaker 2: they are our opportunity to then harness the strength that
- 21:13Speaker 2: we have garnered from all of.
- 21:15Speaker 4: The difficulties that we faced up into that point.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Right first and foremost. I love it whenever you work
- 21:21Speaker 1: hurdle into a line, so good. But yeah, whether it's
- 21:26Speaker 1: something that your parents go through, and it's a young person.
- 21:31Speaker 1: You don't understand the full scope of what they're going through,
- 21:34Speaker 1: but you see the emotion and then we're walking. We
- 21:40Speaker 1: moved through life collecting information data. As I said earlier,
- 21:44Speaker 1: he was their life, collecting information and data. I think
- 21:48Speaker 1: that resilience is innate. As you're collecting these small moments,
- 21:56Speaker 1: you store it to call on, to pull on later.
- 22:04Speaker 5: I sat when I was writing the book, and I
- 22:07Speaker 5: thought about how I watched my mother after she'd lost
- 22:15Speaker 5: her father.
- 22:17Speaker 1: I watched her collect the pieces of herself that were shattered.
- 22:26Speaker 1: I watched her collect them and then continue to live,
- 22:32Speaker 1: not to survive, but continue to live. And I think
- 22:40Speaker 1: that the resilience that came over me when I lost
- 22:45Speaker 1: my little brother, and my ability to then almost parrot
- 22:50Speaker 1: my parents through that loss in many ways, was from
- 22:56Speaker 1: some of the information that I had collected throughout my life.
- 23:03Speaker 1: When I lost my dad and then had to mother
- 23:09Speaker 1: my mother, I called on the information the moments that
- 23:15Speaker 1: I'd gone through just three years earlier, when I'd lost
- 23:18Speaker 1: my brother, and then when I lost my mom, my
- 23:21Speaker 1: best friend, and was able to rise in that moment
- 23:25Speaker 1: to be a glue for the family. It was a
- 23:29Speaker 1: result of being able to use these moments that I
- 23:35Speaker 1: created this internal reservoir.
- 23:38Speaker 2: I would say that I'm not sure if resilience is innate,
- 23:41Speaker 2: but I feel as though you can choose to channel
- 23:46Speaker 2: your own resilience. It's kind of like when you're going
- 23:50Speaker 2: through any hurdle moment and you have the opportunity to
- 23:56Speaker 2: play the victim or ask the question what's next, right,
- 24:01Speaker 2: And it takes perhaps a handful of those hurdles to
- 24:06Speaker 2: get to a place where you're like, Okay, I'm ready
- 24:10Speaker 2: to chin up and ask what's next instead of lingering
- 24:14Speaker 2: in that malaise.
- 24:15Speaker 4: But it doesn't always happen for some naturally.
- 24:19Speaker 1: I think to your point, resilience is a choice. I
- 24:23Speaker 1: say resilience is innate in that resilience is like confidence.
- 24:26Speaker 1: It's not something that you buy. You don't go to
- 24:29Speaker 1: the store and buy confidence. You don't go to the
- 24:32Speaker 1: store and buy the ability to be resilient or resiliency.
- 24:36Speaker 1: It lives inside of you. Your choice unlops the ability.
- 24:49Speaker 2: Taking a break from today's episode to talk to you
- 24:52Speaker 2: about my sponsors.

- 25:50Speaker 2: They've got a strawberry peach smoothie that I add a
- 25:52Speaker 2: little bit of my own protein to it is perfection.

- 27:20Speaker 2: recommendations on some holistic modifications to help me better go

- 27:50Speaker 4: So when you think about.
- 27:52Speaker 2: Your journey to becoming an author, you said, you know,
- 27:58Speaker 2: this is something that you've been thinking about from a
- 28:00Speaker 2: really young age. When did you feel like you had
- 28:04Speaker 2: stepped into the right chapter of your life to get
- 28:08Speaker 2: to this point. Was there a certain moment or a
- 28:12Speaker 2: certain thing that guided you toward this being the time
- 28:18Speaker 2: to dive into this arena?
- 28:22Speaker 1: I mean, when's the right time for anything in terms
- 28:26Speaker 1: of like feeling ready, right, in terms of you feeling ready,
- 28:30Speaker 1: I don't think this was a matter of oh, I
- 28:32Speaker 1: feel ready, and that's why I'm putting this out now.
- 28:35Speaker 1: It was more so the last two years have been
- 28:43Speaker 1: full of so much doubt and so much uncertainty for
- 28:46Speaker 1: so many people, so much doubt and so much uncertainty
- 28:49Speaker 1: for so many people. The title of the book speak,
- 28:53Speaker 1: find your voice, trust your gut, and get from where
- 28:56Speaker 1: you are to where you want to be. If there's
- 28:59Speaker 1: ever been a time where collectively, as of people, we
- 29:02Speaker 1: rethink the way we think or look at any and everything,
- 29:08Speaker 1: it's right now. The book is a memoir, a manifesto,
- 29:12Speaker 1: a story of my life, a guide if you will.
- 29:16Speaker 1: It's a story of all the loss and all the
- 29:19Speaker 1: heartache and heartbreak and setbacks and missed opportunities and body
- 29:23Speaker 1: image issues and joy and hope. I think that we
- 29:30Speaker 1: are all more like than we are different. I think
- 29:33Speaker 1: we're a lot more like than we are different. My
- 29:35Speaker 1: hope is that you pick up this book and it
- 29:39Speaker 1: meets you exactly where you are. My hope is that
- 29:43Speaker 1: you see a little bit of yourself within my stories,
- 29:48Speaker 1: and then when you close the book, you're inspired to
- 29:53Speaker 1: grab the pen that writes out the next chapter of
- 29:57Speaker 1: your life. And so yeah, I mean, I said I
- 30:00Speaker 1: wanted to write a book in third grade, and then
- 30:03Speaker 1: all the stuff sets and people tell you can't, you can't,
- 30:05Speaker 1: you don't know where to put the comma, the punctuation period,
- 30:07Speaker 1: you know the teacher, and the teacher comes in with
- 30:09Speaker 1: that right thing and tells you that you know, basically,
- 30:11Speaker 1: you're not a good writer. And you know I wasn't
- 30:13Speaker 1: until maybe a year and a half two years ago.
- 30:15Speaker 1: A friend of mine said, because I've said it my
- 30:17Speaker 1: entire life, I want to write, but one day I
- 30:18Speaker 1: want to write a book. One day I better write
- 30:19Speaker 1: a book. And a friend of mine said, you know
- 30:22Speaker 1: that somebody else edits the book, right, they do all
- 30:25Speaker 1: the comments in the periods. I said, oh, well, yeah,
- 30:29Speaker 1: you're right. At the end of the day, I know
- 30:31Speaker 1: that I'm a storyteller and I knew that I had
- 30:33Speaker 1: a story to tell. And this moment, I felt like
- 30:39Speaker 1: I could connect with people in connect with people through
- 30:44Speaker 1: connect with people.
- 30:45Speaker 2: Do you also feel like that moment aligns with you
- 30:49Speaker 2: being in a place where you're living as your most
- 30:52Speaker 2: authentic self? Say that again, do you also feel like
- 30:56Speaker 2: this moment that you feel as though, I mean, the
- 31:00Speaker 2: memoir it's a big word, right, And it's not like
- 31:04Speaker 2: at third grade you're like, I'm ready to write my memoir.
- 31:07Speaker 2: But now you have come into this space not only
- 31:12Speaker 2: in your career, but also I would say looking at
- 31:16Speaker 2: you as my friend, as a woman, where you are
- 31:19Speaker 2: standing in your purpose, living without hesitation, as your most
- 31:25Speaker 2: authentic I don't give up what anybody else thinks about
- 31:29Speaker 2: me self. My question is is that why this is
- 31:35Speaker 2: the time? Yes, a lot of people struggle with that
- 31:38Speaker 2: coming into their own in their authenticity. And I say
- 31:46Speaker 2: that recognizing that just because you tune day are very
- 31:51Speaker 2: sure of who you are and what you have to offer.
- 31:54Speaker 2: I know that doesn't come without moments where you have
- 31:59Speaker 2: like a about something that someone somewhere says at some
- 32:03Speaker 2: point or whatever like that like happens to all of us.
- 32:06Speaker 4: But there is a point I.
- 32:10Speaker 2: Believe when you're stepping into your purpose that you stop
- 32:14Speaker 2: caring so much, or maybe get better at judging how
- 32:17Speaker 2: to deal with that.
- 32:20Speaker 4: I'll call it white noise.
- 32:22Speaker 2: Can you talk about that process for you and what
- 32:25Speaker 2: it's been like, because I know it has not been easy, right.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Or I like to define authenticity as the intersection of
- 32:34Speaker 1: truth and trust. When you trust yourself enough to show up,
- 32:38Speaker 1: it's who you truly are, When you trust yourself enough
- 32:42Speaker 1: to live in your truth as you truly are. I
- 32:47Speaker 1: was an overweight kid. I was the black girl at
- 32:52Speaker 1: a predominantly white school, the only dark skin black girl.
- 32:56Speaker 1: For so long, I tried to fade in, Faden, faded, Faiden.
- 33:02Speaker 1: If you fade in, nobody notice you. I tried that
- 33:05Speaker 1: for so long. Very low confidence, very low self esteem,
- 33:08Speaker 1: all the things. Maybe just because you tried to fade
- 33:10Speaker 1: in doesn't mean people aren't going to realize you're black.
- 33:13Speaker 1: And so it was just this matter of you can
- 33:17Speaker 1: hide and hide and hide, but people are still going
- 33:22Speaker 1: to see you. Now. Couple that with words that my
- 33:26Speaker 1: friend Latasha lovel Latasha. If you're listening to this, hey girl,
- 33:31Speaker 1: my friend Latasha very wise, She said to me tune day,
- 33:35Speaker 1: people's opinion of you is none of your business. People's
- 33:41Speaker 1: opinion of me is none of my business. In fact,
- 33:44Speaker 1: if I'm worried about what somebody else thinks of me,
- 33:46Speaker 1: I'm being nosy. And you know, in this public facing world,
- 33:52Speaker 1: there's two things. There's two things I've learned. Number One,
- 33:54Speaker 1: a friend of mine who was in the public eye
- 33:57Speaker 1: for quite some time, she said to me when I
- 33:59Speaker 1: moved to to the space, she said, you know, just remember,
- 34:03Speaker 1: you know this is like you know, Instagram, people say
- 34:05Speaker 1: nasty things comment, message, whatever.
- 34:07Speaker 4: Yeah, And she.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Said, Tunedi, would you ever write something nasty on anyone's page,
- 34:13Speaker 1: much less a page of a random stranger or someone
- 34:15Speaker 1: that you didn't know? And I thought, no, why would
- 34:17Speaker 1: I do that? She was yes, me again, would you
- 34:20Speaker 1: ever write something nasty on someone's page? I said no,
- 34:27Speaker 1: why would.
- 34:28Speaker 3: I do that?
- 34:30Speaker 1: She said, exactly, exactly. Those aren't your kind of people anyways,
- 34:36Speaker 1: So why would you give a damn what they think?
- 34:40Speaker 1: Those aren't your type of people anyways. You wouldn't align
- 34:43Speaker 1: yourself with somebody like that, so why would you care
- 34:46Speaker 1: what they thought? Anyways? And then you move into the
- 34:49Speaker 1: space where you spend time dwelling over one nasty thing
- 34:55Speaker 1: that someone says, and fifty other people said nothing but
- 35:01Speaker 1: wonderful things, nothing but things that were great, and then
- 35:04Speaker 1: you I told myself a long time ago, I was like,
- 35:06Speaker 1: my days are wild, my days are crazy, et cetera,
- 35:08Speaker 1: et cetera.
- 35:09Speaker 2: I don't.
- 35:09Speaker 1: Unfortunately, I wish I could respond to every single comment
- 35:14Speaker 1: and every single message on Instagram, because people say, oh
- 35:17Speaker 1: my god, the way that I'm supporting Emily, the way
- 35:20Speaker 1: that I am supported Emily. Oh, I wish I had
- 35:24Speaker 1: the time and the bandwidth to respond to everybody. If
- 35:27Speaker 1: I don't have the time to respond to the nice things, hell, yes,
- 35:32Speaker 1: why in the hell would I exert any extra time
- 35:38Speaker 1: that or energy that I do have on something nasty
- 35:42Speaker 1: on a nasayer. If you have five seconds to respond
- 35:45Speaker 1: to day, respond to somebody who deserves the response because
- 35:48Speaker 1: that other person was just doing it out of spite.
- 35:50Speaker 1: And then the last thing I'll say here is that
- 35:52Speaker 1: typically what someone doesn't like in you, it's really a
- 35:56Speaker 1: reflection of what they don't like in themselves. And so
- 35:58Speaker 1: when somebody says something to me that doesn't serve me,
- 36:03Speaker 1: when somebody says something to me that's full of hate,
- 36:07Speaker 1: I remind myself it's really just a mirror. It's reflection
- 36:10Speaker 1: of what they see in themselves. And then and then
- 36:14Speaker 1: I'm not even mad. And then I'm not even mad.
- 36:17Speaker 1: Then I almost have empathy for them. I feel bad
- 36:23Speaker 1: for them and what they might be going through.
- 36:26Speaker 2: The takeaway there is so valuable and the idea that like,
- 36:29Speaker 2: why am I going to give this person who is
- 36:33Speaker 2: trying to take me down my energy when there are
- 36:36Speaker 2: so many people here that are supporting me. It's beautiful
- 36:41Speaker 2: and it's certainly a hard thing to come by. It
- 36:45Speaker 2: does not matter if you have one person that is
- 36:49Speaker 2: like keeping up with your life, whether it be on
- 36:51Speaker 2: social media or in the real world, or you have
- 36:53Speaker 2: hundreds of thousands of people. It's human nature to like
- 36:57Speaker 2: listen to that oneative human And something that I tell
- 37:02Speaker 2: myself sometimes is I'll come back.
- 37:04Speaker 4: To this idea. I'll think about the people in my.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Life that I admire beyond you know, my parents and
- 37:11Speaker 2: my family, although I'm sure that they probably at one
- 37:14Speaker 2: point or another in their lives had haters as well.
- 37:17Speaker 2: But every single person that I think of that I
- 37:20Speaker 2: admire in my existence are people that have been willing
- 37:24Speaker 2: to put themselves out there, that have been willing to
- 37:26Speaker 2: take a stand and be like, this is what I
- 37:29Speaker 2: have to offer the world, and everyone will always have
- 37:32Speaker 2: something to say about them too.
- 37:34Speaker 1: Everyone will always have something to say about them too.
- 37:38Speaker 1: People hate the greatest bands in the world. I said
- 37:43Speaker 1: this recently in an interview. There are people that hate Coldplay,
- 37:47Speaker 1: there are people that hate Beyond Say, there are people
- 37:51Speaker 1: that hate Oprah Winfrey. If there are people that hate
- 37:56Speaker 1: Oprah Winfrey and they don't like me, I'm okay with that.
- 38:00Speaker 1: I'm good.
- 38:03Speaker 2: So what you're saying is that Oprah is going to
- 38:06Speaker 2: be one of the guests on your book tour.
- 38:09Speaker 1: You know, I mean I got some pretty I got
- 38:13Speaker 1: some Oprah level. Yeah. Actually one of the guests is
- 38:19Speaker 1: what is it called six degrees of separation? But I
- 38:21Speaker 1: think it's only like it's not even what it's is
- 38:23Speaker 1: this is that's one degree of separation. So yes, basically
- 38:26Speaker 1: Oprah's there. She's not there. Before I get sued, she's not.
- 38:29Speaker 1: But one of her friends is how about that?
- 38:32Speaker 4: Well, girl, I'll be seeing you in New York, you.
- 38:34Speaker 2: Know, yes, please, yes, pivoting a little bit away from
- 38:39Speaker 2: the haters because we don't want to give them any
- 38:42Speaker 2: more of our beautiful energy. Obviously, writing a book is
- 38:48Speaker 2: a really big undertaking. We've already talked about all of
- 38:52Speaker 2: the obligations that go hand in hand with that. Forget
- 38:55Speaker 2: about the obligations that go hand in hand with teaching
- 38:59Speaker 2: and so many other things hand in hand.
- 39:03Speaker 4: With your job.
- 39:04Speaker 2: How do you manage to find the time to give
- 39:12Speaker 2: each of these individual things your whole self?
- 39:17Speaker 1: You know what, that is a really really really good question.
- 39:23Speaker 1: I try to focus on what I'm focusing on while
- 39:29Speaker 1: I'm in whatever I'm in I could write a email
- 39:37Speaker 1: that and then if I'm going to teach a class,
- 39:44Speaker 1: I wipe that energy off of me because I know
- 39:50Speaker 1: that my frequency is felt right, I would be doing
- 39:54Speaker 1: a disservice to the people who were absorbing it if
- 39:58Speaker 1: I was to give anything less than my best. Now,
- 40:02Speaker 1: my best looks different day to day, and so sometimes
- 40:06Speaker 1: what I might be saying in class might be coming
- 40:09Speaker 1: from whatever I'm going through, and my belief is that
- 40:14Speaker 1: it meets someone that's taking that right, that needs to
- 40:18Speaker 1: hear that, whether it's live or three months later. You know,
- 40:21Speaker 1: sometimes I'll get a DM from someone and they'll say,
- 40:26Speaker 1: you said X, Y and Z and I felt that,
- 40:30Speaker 1: and they'll tell me about something that they're experiencing in
- 40:33Speaker 1: their life and why those words meant what they did.
- 40:36Speaker 1: And I think I've thought about it. You know, sometimes
- 40:38Speaker 1: I think I remember that day, and I remember I
- 40:42Speaker 1: wasn't my best that day, but I was honest and
- 40:49Speaker 1: someone and my honesty was able to better someone's day. Yeah.
- 41:00Speaker 1: I mean, I'm sitting here having this wonderful conversation with you,
- 41:04Speaker 1: with Caesar on my lap. You know, my first moment
- 41:07Speaker 1: today where I'm really able to kind of sit and
- 41:09Speaker 1: love on this dog as I'm chatting with you, knowing
- 41:13Speaker 1: that there is a massive to do list that waits
- 41:17Speaker 1: for me. But I don't think. I don't. It wouldn't
- 41:22Speaker 1: be fair to you, or to anyone listening to allow
- 41:27Speaker 1: the thoughts of what lie ahead to hinder this. Often
- 41:34Speaker 1: on the bike at the beginning of the class, I
- 41:36Speaker 1: say this, you know, this is a thirty minute ride.
- 41:40Speaker 1: Be here and only here. If it's not on this bike,
- 41:44Speaker 1: it doesn't exist. We all have our shit, we all
- 41:47Speaker 1: have the bags, we all have the things. Allow yourself
- 41:50Speaker 1: to let this be your escape. This is your escape.
- 41:53Speaker 1: Be here. And so when I'm moving through each motion
- 41:56Speaker 1: of the day, I try to just be in that
- 41:58Speaker 1: one Well, shit not you have kids. It's very difficult,
- 42:01Speaker 1: and it's you know, not as easier said than done,
- 42:04Speaker 1: for sure. But yeah, I think that the trying to
- 42:09Speaker 1: kind of create boundaries in space is literally the only
- 42:13Speaker 1: thing that girl, the only way to move.
- 42:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:19Speaker 2: I also think that sometimes if you feel as though
- 42:22Speaker 2: you're not the kind of person that thrives in creating
- 42:26Speaker 2: those boundaries in space to start small, it's kind of like,
- 42:30Speaker 2: I mean, I'm talking to you, your peloton instructor.
- 42:33Speaker 4: For someone who's never gotten on.
- 42:35Speaker 2: The peloton bike, you wouldn't be like, come take this
- 42:39Speaker 2: ninety minute endurance power zone class. Yeah, Like that's not
- 42:44Speaker 2: that's not happening. But you could be like, start with
- 42:47Speaker 2: this five minute warm up. Start there, meet yourself with
- 42:50Speaker 2: where you're at, and instead of getting mad about the
- 42:53Speaker 2: fact that you're having difficulty. I don't know, you're a journalist,
- 42:58Speaker 2: you're having a difficulty sitting down to your desk and
- 43:01Speaker 2: working on an article for forty five minutes at a
- 43:03Speaker 2: time and giving yourself entirely to that article, or you're
- 43:05Speaker 2: mad that you are working. You're an account and you're
- 43:08Speaker 2: working on someone's taxes, and your head is also in
- 43:10Speaker 2: the fact that your kid needs to get home from
- 43:13Speaker 2: god knows what. I'm giving really random ass examples right here,
- 43:16Speaker 2: but you totally get what I'm saying.
- 43:17Speaker 4: It's that like, it is.
- 43:19Speaker 2: Hard to get to this place, and it's like exercise,
- 43:25Speaker 2: it's like strengthening a muscle. It needs repeat work to
- 43:29Speaker 2: get to that place where you can confidently say, Okay,
- 43:33Speaker 2: I can be here, I can be present, and recognizing
- 43:36Speaker 2: that in small doses will then empower you to do
- 43:39Speaker 2: that going forward.
- 43:40Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, absolutely small doses, attainable doses, bite sized doses,
- 43:46Speaker 1: until you're able to take bigger bites, bigger. Yeah.
- 43:51Speaker 2: What would you say tunday that you, in writing your
- 43:57Speaker 2: book were the most surprised about yourself in your reflection?
- 44:06Speaker 4: And I say that, and sometimes.
- 44:08Speaker 2: In writing for even the Weekly Hurdle newsletter, I'll start
- 44:12Speaker 2: to write something and maybe open up about something and realize,
- 44:15Speaker 2: like I'm really diving in right here?
- 44:18Speaker 4: Were there things in the.
- 44:20Speaker 2: Book that you started to open up about maybe that
- 44:23Speaker 2: you hadn't opened up about in that capacity before?
- 44:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I think when the book writing process requires you,
- 44:30Speaker 1: you know, we all have our stuff and you kind
- 44:32Speaker 1: of throw some of your stuff in a closet and
- 44:33Speaker 1: then you throw more stuff in there, and then you
- 44:36Speaker 1: take key, you lock the door, you just throw the key.
- 44:38Speaker 1: This required me to like dig the key, dig up
- 44:40Speaker 1: the key, find the key, find a day on door,
- 44:43Speaker 1: and then unlock it and then everything just kind of
- 44:46Speaker 1: comes rolling out. It requires you to relive things, moments, relive.
- 44:51Speaker 1: Then you edit and you relive relive, and then you
- 44:55Speaker 1: realize that everyone's going to live in those moments with you.
- 44:58Speaker 1: So yeah, definitely required, uh, soul searching. Yeah, there's like moments.
- 45:04Speaker 2: Yeah, what did you do to process the feelings that
- 45:10Speaker 2: came up while you were quote unquote digging through the closet?
- 45:14Speaker 1: Hmmm?
- 45:15Speaker 6: It was therapeutic, just therapeutic, not only to dig it
- 45:19Speaker 6: up and let it all fall on me and feel it,
- 45:23Speaker 6: but to write about it so much therapy and writing.
- 45:27Speaker 1: Right, to write about it, I think, to write about
- 45:30Speaker 1: it about you writing about it on a computer, and
- 45:31Speaker 1: then you see it printed out. Because you print it out,
- 45:33Speaker 1: that's one thing, but then to see it like bound
- 45:35Speaker 1: in a book, then you like really feel it. Yeah,
- 45:38Speaker 1: and there's things I've never given myself. You know how
- 45:42Speaker 1: you your parents? Right, well, parents, you look at your
- 45:45Speaker 1: parents as like mom and dad, but you don't look
- 45:47Speaker 1: at them like I never looked at my mom as Baronica.
- 45:49Speaker 1: I looked at myself as me reading the book. I
- 45:51Speaker 1: looked at myself as Tombay. I saw myself as a human.
- 45:54Speaker 1: And I don't even know if that makes sense at all,
- 45:57Speaker 1: but yeah, I saw my self as Tunday. Which it's wild,
- 46:03Speaker 1: it's wild.
- 46:05Speaker 2: I feel like that's what happens a lot in therapy though,
- 46:08Speaker 2: right when someone says, like, what does Tunday need or
- 46:11Speaker 2: what does Emily need? Like, this isn't something that I'm
- 46:15Speaker 2: sitting here looking at myself, staring at myself in this
- 46:18Speaker 2: out of body experience, being like what do you.
- 46:20Speaker 4: Need right now all the time.
- 46:23Speaker 2: So the writing process provided a platform to you for
- 46:27Speaker 2: you to be a little bit more introspective, which is great.
- 46:32Speaker 4: Okay, tune day.
- 46:33Speaker 2: So as we wind down here now, I have to
- 46:36Speaker 2: ask you, aside from this book launch, what else excites
- 46:39Speaker 2: you at the moment?
- 46:40Speaker 1: Pizza? Pizza?
- 46:43Speaker 7: Like when you said that, the first thing I could
- 46:45Speaker 7: think of.
- 46:46Speaker 1: It was like, ooh, pizza and champagne. What else excites me?
- 46:52Speaker 1: I'm excited to well, that's sill the book, but I'm
- 46:54Speaker 1: excited to meet everyone on the tour, like to see
- 46:57Speaker 1: people that I've just been interfacing with over a touch
- 47:01Speaker 1: screen for two years. I'm excited to spend some more
- 47:04Speaker 1: time with Caesar, who's staring at me. I mean, there's
- 47:08Speaker 1: just so much, there's so much good, there's so much
- 47:11Speaker 1: to be excited about it. I mean, there's so much.
- 47:14Speaker 1: I just moved into a new place and so I'm
- 47:15Speaker 1: decorating and that's really really fun. You just told me
- 47:18Speaker 1: before we started that we are neighbors, so I'm excited
- 47:22Speaker 1: to hopefully have a good brunch moment with you.
- 47:26Speaker 2: Hell yes, Typically at the end of the show, as
- 47:29Speaker 2: you know, I ask people to give themselves a piece
- 47:31Speaker 2: of advice looking back on some of their toughest moments.
- 47:34Speaker 2: But for you appropriate walking out of this conversation, new
- 47:39Speaker 2: book author, When someone walks away from your book after
- 47:44Speaker 2: finishing it, reads the whole thing, they look back at
- 47:50Speaker 2: that experience and they reflect on it. What is it
- 47:52Speaker 2: that you want them to take from your story to today?
- 47:58Speaker 1: I want them to hear that inner voice, to connect
- 48:07Speaker 1: to that drum beat, the compass intuition, the guiding light,
- 48:14Speaker 1: lean into moments that allow them.
- 48:20Speaker 8: To access their power, live in purpose, move through loss,
- 48:29Speaker 8: their missteps, missed opportunities.
- 48:32Speaker 1: I hope this meets them exactly where they are and
- 48:35Speaker 1: moves them to exactly where they want to be today.
- 48:41Speaker 2: OI and A and that tell us how do we
