- 1:51Speaker 2: I watched the episode Yes, and I thought to myself,
- 1:54Speaker 2: you went in there with the initial offer. You wanted
- 1:56Speaker 2: to give them five percent, Yeah, for what was the amount? Now,
- 2:05Speaker 2: if anybody didn't watch the episode, go watch it. That's
- 2:08Speaker 2: not the offer you left with. No, it's not changing
- 2:12Speaker 2: your offer and obviously changing the evaluation of your company
- 2:16Speaker 2: because of that offer.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Absolutely. So what happened was the sharks literally told me
- 2:21Speaker 3: I'm not getting out of bed for five percent, you know.
- 2:24Speaker 3: And for me, it wasn't about the money. It was
- 2:27Speaker 3: about the growth strategy that I really wanted with the Sharks.
- 2:30Speaker 3: You know, it's that I wanted somebody on the team
- 2:33Speaker 3: that had the relationship capital to call QBC and get
- 2:37Speaker 3: me on it, you know, make a call to Walmart
- 2:40Speaker 3: and we're at least a part of the conversation of
- 2:42Speaker 3: being on the shows. To me, I saw the value
- 2:45Speaker 3: in that a lot more than the dollar amount. And
- 2:47Speaker 3: at the time, we really didn't need the capital because
- 2:50Speaker 3: we were so cash positive, because you know, we were
- 2:53Speaker 3: still growing and we're still keeping things at a certain scale.
- 2:56Speaker 3: So for me, I really wanted a growth strategists and
- 2:59Speaker 3: someone that could help me grow the brand way more
- 3:01Speaker 3: than I wanted the money. So for me, negotiating and
- 3:04Speaker 3: I negotiated and devalued my company in a sense, just
- 3:08Speaker 3: for an opportunity to work with the Sharks. And you know,
- 3:12Speaker 3: a lot of people were saying in the comments like man,
- 3:15Speaker 3: you should have got more money, or they should they
- 3:17Speaker 3: took advantage, YadA, YadA, And you know I didn't see
- 3:20Speaker 3: it that way. Like I if I email Mark at
- 3:23Speaker 3: three in the morning, I can check my email in
- 3:26Speaker 3: like fifteen twenty minutes and I have a response from him.
- 3:29Speaker 3: You know, when the Shade Room wanted to post our
- 3:32Speaker 3: Shark tank clip. They needed clearance from Disney because Disney
- 3:35Speaker 3: owns ABC, and I was told by one of the
- 3:39Speaker 3: producers because I emailed them, I was like, hey, can
- 3:41Speaker 3: you guys clear this? They're like, oh, this goes up
- 3:44Speaker 3: all the way to the top, and to be honest,
- 3:46Speaker 3: you probably never hear back from them, you know. So
- 3:48Speaker 3: I emailed Mark. I said, Mark, the Shade Room wants
- 3:50Speaker 3: to post this. It was around Black History time too,
- 3:53Speaker 3: and I was like, can you get this cleared? Within
- 3:56Speaker 3: half an hour, he got it cleared and then the
- 3:59Speaker 3: Shared Shade Room was to post it. You know. So
- 4:02Speaker 3: I said that to say that working with the Sharks
- 4:05Speaker 3: definitely brings a lot of benefit and it's invaluable because
- 4:10Speaker 3: I mean, to even book Mark Cuban for a ten
- 4:13Speaker 3: minute call, fifteen minute call, if he would even accept
- 4:16Speaker 3: it would be you know, six figures easily, you know,
- 4:20Speaker 3: to be able to call him and utilize his team,
- 4:22Speaker 3: which are all Ivy League graduates. You know at my disposal.
- 4:26Speaker 3: You know something that is worth millions.
- 4:29Speaker 2: It is Kevin. I know they partnered on it. Yes,
- 4:31Speaker 2: how is keV as involved or is that somebody reach
- 4:34Speaker 2: on and reach out to as well.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Yeah, well yeah, Kevin and his team has been amazing
- 4:38Speaker 3: as well. Kevin is really busy because he's shooting usually
- 4:42Speaker 3: shooting like three or four movies at the same time,
- 4:45Speaker 3: so a lot of a lot of times I'm working
- 4:47Speaker 3: like through his team. Recently, I just ran into to
- 4:50Speaker 3: his team in Atlanta like two weeks ago, and you know,
- 4:53Speaker 3: giving them updates of the business. And one thing that
- 4:56Speaker 3: we were really careful with was not having him over
- 5:00Speaker 3: expose us because we were when we were at Shark Tank,
- 5:03Speaker 3: we were in a fifteen hundred square foot facility, so
- 5:06Speaker 3: you can imagine like we have like almost no space.
- 5:09Speaker 3: We were forty thousand orders behind after Shark Tank, I
- 5:13Speaker 3: mean we're watching it live and we made half a
- 5:16Speaker 3: million that night, within the first within an hour after
- 5:20Speaker 3: we aared, and it's like, you know, they call it
- 5:22Speaker 3: the Oprah effect, and it's like, Okay, how do we
- 5:24Speaker 3: get how do we make all these all these jars?
- 5:27Speaker 3: And you know, I had to expand move into a
- 5:30Speaker 3: bigger warehouse, hire bigger team, you know everything. If Kevin
- 5:34Speaker 3: had like eat our product or promoted our product as well,
- 5:38Speaker 3: they could have breaked the system, you know. QBC reached
- 5:42Speaker 3: out to Mark Cuban to have us on QBC selling
- 5:46Speaker 3: the product with Kevin Hart, and he actually told them
- 5:49Speaker 3: no because he knew what it would have done to
- 5:51Speaker 3: our production. He said, check back in the year. These
- 5:54Speaker 3: these guys need to catch up, you know, and so
- 5:56Speaker 3: little things like that. So now we're actually about weeks away,
- 6:00Speaker 3: and I'm so excited. We're weeks away from moving into
- 6:02Speaker 3: what will be the largest sea mass manufacturing factory in
- 6:06Speaker 3: the US. It's twenty thousand square foot and you know,
- 6:09Speaker 3: we're calling it like the really Wonka Sea Mass is
- 6:12Speaker 3: going to be, you know, fantastic. It's really big. It's
- 6:15Speaker 3: going to give us the space to not just scale
- 6:17Speaker 3: bigger numbers here in the US, but actually be able
- 6:19Speaker 3: to take advantage of other countries that's been asking specifically
- 6:23Speaker 3: for our brand, like Canada, the UK, Columbia, the Bahamas.
- 6:27Speaker 3: You know, those are just some low hanging fruit qvc
- 6:30Speaker 3: hsn GNC stores, you know, just just saying okay, now
- 6:33Speaker 3: we're ready. And so I say that to say that
- 6:36Speaker 3: once we move into this facility and we're able to
- 6:38Speaker 3: scale our production to where we need it to be.
- 6:41Speaker 3: I know that's where Kevin's involvement is going to become
- 6:44Speaker 3: really important and it won't break us, you know, So
- 6:48Speaker 3: it was all it was all about the timing. So
- 6:50Speaker 3: they always let us do it. They're there, But it
- 6:52Speaker 3: was one of those Okay, when you're ready, ready, we're
- 6:55Speaker 3: gonna blow this up, you know.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Seven months then you're making a million.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Yes, by the time you get to shark Tam we
- 7:02Speaker 3: got three point five three point five million.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Yeah, you make a half a million and an hour.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Where were the what are the sales at and where
- 7:11Speaker 2: are they trajected? For twenty twenty four for.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Twenty twenty four okay, So sales to date is about
- 7:17Speaker 3: thirty seven million in the last three years and this
- 7:21Speaker 3: year we're last year we did sixteen sixteen point five
- 7:26Speaker 3: million in twenty twenty three. This year, I predict no
- 7:29Speaker 3: less than twenty And the reason why we didn't have
- 7:31Speaker 3: the gummies yet. We just launched these this year and
- 7:36Speaker 3: they sold up. This one sold out like within two months,
- 7:40Speaker 3: so that that brought in brought in about three million
- 7:43Speaker 3: on its own. And then we're also launching a Sema
- 7:46Speaker 3: skincare line for quarter four. We just got nominated for
- 7:50Speaker 3: Oprah's Favorite Things, So us being on that list is
- 7:53Speaker 3: definitely this is this is by far going to be
- 7:56Speaker 3: our biggest holiday since we've been in business. So I
- 7:59Speaker 3: mean I probably being modest by saying Tony is probably
- 8:02Speaker 3: probably more. And then also, we did all this without Amazon,
- 8:06Speaker 3: but we're launching our Amazon within the next month after
- 8:11Speaker 3: you know, after all, the red tape to get a
- 8:13Speaker 3: supplement on Amazon refinedly at the finish line. So this
- 8:17Speaker 3: I said, have to say, quarter four this year, we
- 8:19Speaker 3: will have skincare line, we will have Amazon firing off,
- 8:23Speaker 3: and then we have the new sku that we just
- 8:25Speaker 3: launched us also firing off. So I predict I predict
- 8:29Speaker 3: that we're going to exceed at least twenty million this year.
- 8:33Speaker 4: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 8:36Speaker 4: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 8:40Speaker 4: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 8:45Speaker 4: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 8:49Speaker 4: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 8:52Speaker 4: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christinoman, the United States Secretary
- 8:57Speaker 4: of Homeland Security under President Trump. A tempted illegal border
- 9:01Speaker 4: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 9:04Speaker 4: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 9:08Speaker 4: are here illegally, your next you will be fined nearly
- 9:12Speaker 4: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned, and deported. You will
- 9:16Speaker 4: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 9:19Speaker 4: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 9:23Speaker 4: Do what's right, leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,
- 9:28Speaker 4: border and families will be protected.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security,
