Speaker 3: it to the weekend, Metro News meteorologist Brian Hughes says,
1:31
Speaker 3: another beautiful day in the Canawa Valley. Breezy high is
1:34
Speaker 3: going to be in the upper seventies. Some rain may
1:36
Speaker 3: move in overnight tonight. We'll start Saturday with some clouds,
1:38
Speaker 3: but becoming Sunday by afternoon the rain is gone. Had
1:41
Speaker 3: about seventy five beautiful and summer like on Sunday for
1:44
Speaker 3: the UC Marathon with a high in the low eighties.
1:47
Speaker 3: Warm weather. It's going to continue in the next week.
1:48
Speaker 3: You can listen for Metro News Meteorologist Brian Hughes forecast
1:51
Speaker 3: on air and follow him on Facebook. Two mentioned earlier
1:55
Speaker 3: the University of Charleston Marathon, the smaller one tomorrow on
1:58
Speaker 3: campus that you see the big one that's going to
2:00
Speaker 3: stretch all over Charleston is happening Sunday. You see President
2:04
Speaker 3: Doctor Marty roskend to join us to talk about that.
2:06
Speaker 3: Coming up a little bit later on, there's going to
2:08
Speaker 3: be a special basketball tournament held Saturday and Sunday honoring
2:13
Speaker 3: the late Bryce Tates. Now you recall this is a
2:15
Speaker 3: young man who was the victim of a sex stortion
2:18
Speaker 3: case that sadly took his own life. We'll talk to
2:20
Speaker 3: Bryce's dad, Adam about that event and again Saturday. That's
2:24
Speaker 3: Saturday and Sunday at Nitro High. In fact, it is
2:26
Speaker 3: quite the busy weekend here in the kanav Valley. We
2:28
Speaker 3: had the Home Show, which starts today and runs through
2:31
Speaker 3: Sunday at the Connellsteum Convention Center. We got the marathons
2:34
Speaker 3: we mentioned. Oh and by the way, the hot Dog
2:36
Speaker 3: movie we talked about yesterday, the world premiere of this
2:39
Speaker 3: dog eumentary about the folks Jane Joel with Have Fun
2:43
Speaker 3: West Virginia that traveled the state looking for the state's
2:46
Speaker 3: best hot dogs. That is happening at the Auburn Theater
2:50
Speaker 3: the Alburn Arts Center. That is tomorrow night in Saint Albans.
2:53
Speaker 3: So if you can't find someday to do in the
2:55
Speaker 3: Kanah Valley this weekend. Then that's on you. But right
2:58
Speaker 3: now I want to welcome in Elena uh In for
3:01
Speaker 3: Angie gilden Water with this week's Adopt Me Please Better
3:03
Speaker 3: the Week from the GNAW Charleston New Main Association. Good morning,
3:05
Speaker 3: welcome to the show.
3:07
Speaker 2: Good morning, how are you.
3:08
Speaker 3: I'm doing fine, Thank you for being here and thank
3:10
Speaker 3: you for subbing for Angie today. As always, our pets
3:14
Speaker 3: picture posted on Dave Alan Radio at the WCHS Network
3:17
Speaker 3: Facebook page as well as at Dave A seventy on
3:20
Speaker 3: X tell us about our Adopt Me Please Pet of
3:23
Speaker 3: the Week. It's a pretty dog by the name of Dinah.
3:27
Speaker 2: So Diamond is actually my dogy diplomats. I spend a
3:30
Speaker 2: lot of time with her. She is about four years old.
3:34
Speaker 2: All the good things fade microchip up to day on vaccines.
3:38
Speaker 2: She is a larger breed dog, weighing in and around
3:40
Speaker 2: seventy pounds. She does really well with other dogs. She
3:45
Speaker 2: loves trees, she loves playing fetch, and her adoption fee
3:48
Speaker 2: is sponsored.
3:50
Speaker 3: And you know when I saw the picture. Angie always
3:53
Speaker 3: sends me the picture on Thursday night and I showed
3:54
Speaker 3: it to my wife last night, and she's heard Angie
3:56
Speaker 3: and I use this term over and over again. Classic
3:59
Speaker 3: west Ronginia brown dog. Is that what Dinah is? A
4:01
Speaker 3: west Rginia brown dog? Because my my wife said it
4:03
Speaker 3: looks like a Westerrginia brown dog.
4:06
Speaker 2: That's that's what I could definitely see in Reale.
4:09
Speaker 3: She is a good looking dog. But now you say,
4:11
Speaker 3: or Angie said that, that that probably would be better
4:16
Speaker 3: in a home that doesn't have small animals or cats.
4:20
Speaker 2: Yeah, we would definitely recommend a home with probably children
4:24
Speaker 2: age like ten and up, and animals that are not small,
4:30
Speaker 2: not small dogs, cats, anything like that. We wouldn't recommend
4:33
Speaker 2: her going to a home with.
4:34
Speaker 3: But otherwise, I mean, and that's that's okay because certain pets,
4:37
Speaker 3: whether they're dogs, cats, or whatever, some do better with
4:40
Speaker 3: certain other kinds of animals and some don't. So that's
4:43
Speaker 3: that doesn't mean it's a character flaw, just means that's
4:46
Speaker 3: what Dinah likes.
4:48
Speaker 5: Yeah.
4:48
Speaker 2: Absolutely, she is a wonderful dog all around.
4:50
Speaker 3: All right. So her pictures posted as I said, at
4:53
Speaker 3: Dave aland Radio and also the w c HS network
4:56
Speaker 3: Facebook page and at Dave a seventy on X. I
4:59
Speaker 3: know some of the folks from the shelter. There, Lena,
5:01
Speaker 3: we're in Pittsburgh this weekend for a big, big pet expo.
5:05
Speaker 3: What can you tell us about that?
5:07
Speaker 2: So they left on Tuesday, I believe it was, and
5:11
Speaker 2: they're actually coming back today. Essentially, it's something they do
5:14
Speaker 2: yearly where they go and they take a bunch of
5:17
Speaker 2: classes that involve whatever position of the shelter they work
5:24
Speaker 2: in that just kind of helps them like further their
5:27
Speaker 2: education and bring new information back to just better the shelter. Well.
5:32
Speaker 3: And again it's there's a lot there's a whole lot
5:35
Speaker 3: more I think for working in the shelter that goes
5:37
Speaker 3: into it than what a lot of people would would think.
5:41
Speaker 3: Because when I have either Angie on the air or
5:43
Speaker 3: any of you great folks up there on the air,
5:45
Speaker 3: I mean, you're very knowledgeable about what you do. You're
5:47
Speaker 3: not just putting pets, you know, housing pets and trying
5:51
Speaker 3: to get them adopted. There's a whole lot more that
5:52
Speaker 3: goes into it. And I've never had any of you
5:54
Speaker 3: folks on the air that when I ask a question
5:57
Speaker 3: haven't been able to answer, because you really really get
5:59
Speaker 3: to know these pets.
6:02
Speaker 1: We do.
6:02
Speaker 2: We get to know them and we get to love.
6:04
Speaker 3: Them and hopefully other people will love them as well.
6:08
Speaker 3: And that's that's why we do this segment. I do
6:10
Speaker 3: want to remind you that we are just a couple
6:12
Speaker 3: of weeks away from Tuxas and Tales at the JQ
6:16
Speaker 3: Dicketson Saltworks complex in Malden. I would imagine the tickets
6:19
Speaker 3: are pretty scarce at this point, right.
6:22
Speaker 2: I do believe we have some last group, Okay, but.
6:27
Speaker 3: You want to get those early, because again the event
6:29
Speaker 3: is happening on April the twenty fifth, and a new
6:32
Speaker 3: venue this year, the JQ Dickinson Saltworks. They'll get those
6:34
Speaker 3: tickets soon as you can't. Just go to the Facebook
6:36
Speaker 3: pages more information there of the Canal Charleston Humane Association
6:40
Speaker 3: or also at your website. And because Atlanta it takes
6:44
Speaker 3: all types. You guys had some roosters there earlier this week.
6:50
Speaker 2: We did, yes, thankfully they have found homes. We are
6:53
Speaker 2: not equipped to handle them for very long, so we
6:57
Speaker 2: we found them good homes.
6:59
Speaker 3: So do I want to know exactly how you came
7:02
Speaker 3: to acquire roosters at the shelter?
7:05
Speaker 2: You know, I'm gonna be honest, I don't know how
7:07
Speaker 2: we did either.
7:08
Speaker 3: They just kind of were there one day. Oh look
7:10
Speaker 3: we have roosters, you know, so well, thankfully we were
7:14
Speaker 3: able to get them adopted in look in the you know,
7:17
Speaker 3: almost six years I've been doing this segment. I mean,
7:20
Speaker 3: of course we focus on dogs and cats, but I've
7:22
Speaker 3: had roosters, I've had snakes. There's been a little bit
7:25
Speaker 3: of everything out there, because when people don't know what
7:27
Speaker 3: to do with these things, they call the shelter and
7:30
Speaker 3: it's and look, God bless them for doing that. You
7:32
Speaker 3: guys are going to be out and about anywhere this weekend.
7:36
Speaker 2: No, we're not all right.
7:37
Speaker 3: Well, it's it's good sometimes to have a little decompression
7:41
Speaker 3: time because I know that you you folks do do
7:44
Speaker 3: work very very hard. What what are some of your
7:47
Speaker 3: needs right now? And we talk every week about some
7:50
Speaker 3: of the things that you're I mean, there's always the basics,
7:52
Speaker 3: you know, your down, dish washing, liquid and foods. Is
7:56
Speaker 3: there anything in particular that you guys are looking.
7:58
Speaker 2: For right now? I believe we're actually running pretty low.
8:02
Speaker 2: One blankets, Okay.
8:03
Speaker 3: Sorry, So and again, when people start to do spring cleaning,
8:07
Speaker 3: sometimes they'll take a look at the inventory of the
8:10
Speaker 3: things in the house, blankets, tiles or whatever. It'd be
8:12
Speaker 3: a great, great opportunity if they're in good shape, you know,
8:14
Speaker 3: to try to get those to the shelter. We had
8:15
Speaker 3: a text here at Lena. Somebody said, now that Peeps
8:18
Speaker 3: has been adopted, and yeah, Peeps was the longest serving
8:22
Speaker 3: resident I think of the shelter. We featured Peeps a
8:24
Speaker 3: couple of weeks ago. Peeps got adopted. Uh, do you
8:27
Speaker 3: know off a hand who is the longest serving dog
8:29
Speaker 3: or cat in the shelter?
8:30
Speaker 4: Now?
8:32
Speaker 2: I believe I could be wrong, but I believe it would.
8:35
Speaker 5: Be Wallace Wallace.
8:37
Speaker 3: Okay, I think we may have featured Wallace at one
8:39
Speaker 3: time or but yeah, that was a happy story with
8:42
Speaker 3: the Peeps, because if I and you can correct me
8:44
Speaker 3: if I'm wrong, I believe I hadn't seen on your
8:46
Speaker 3: roll's Facebook page that a family from Pittsburgh came down
8:49
Speaker 3: and got Peeps. Is that right?
8:52
Speaker 6: Yes?
8:52
Speaker 2: That was her first adopters. I unfortunately it did fall through,
8:55
Speaker 2: but she was adopted immediately again. After that.
8:57
Speaker 3: Okay, all right, Peeps has got a home. Was it
9:00
Speaker 3: somewhere local or do we know?
9:02
Speaker 4: No?
9:02
Speaker 3: That it matters as long as she's got to get
9:03
Speaker 3: home to this. She's somewhere local or do we have
9:05
Speaker 3: any idea?
9:06
Speaker 2: I believe she's in the area.
9:08
Speaker 3: All right, Well, Lena, I appreciate you stepping up to
9:11
Speaker 3: the plate while Angie's trying to get some education. She
9:14
Speaker 3: and the others up there today. We appreciate you and
9:17
Speaker 3: we will talk again soon. Thanks a lot, of course,
9:19
Speaker 3: Thank you, all right, Lena Allen. Again, no relation by
9:22

9:24

9:33
Speaker 3: Dinah is our dog this week. Dinah is around four
9:36
Speaker 3: years old, spade already chipped up to date on all
9:40
Speaker 3: the vaccines, around seventy pounds, classic West Virginia brown dog.
9:44
Speaker 3: Can be, from what they tell me, a little bit
9:46
Speaker 3: shy at first, but is super sweet and once she
9:49
Speaker 3: warms up, she does love he treats. She loves playing fetch,
9:53
Speaker 3: probably better though in a home, not around cats or
9:57
Speaker 3: other small animals. Now, from what I understand, it's okay
10:00
Speaker 3: with dogs, maybe her size, but smaller ones probably not
10:03
Speaker 3: so much and definitely not catch it. Still a beautiful
10:05
Speaker 3: dog and again around four years old, spade chip backs
10:08
Speaker 3: ready to go already perfect pet for somebody seventy pounds

11:02

Speaker 3: three decades, and this one's gonna happen Sunday. Starts around
11:08
Speaker 3: seven am. That's when everything gets underway through the streets
11:11
Speaker 3: of Charleston, and it's going to be literally all over Charleston.
11:14
Speaker 3: And I would urge you that if you're going out
11:17
Speaker 3: to church, or you're going for brunch or whatever, go
11:20
Speaker 3: to I looked at it earlier this morning. If you

11:30
Speaker 3: That's the one on Sunday. Now there's one on campus
11:33
Speaker 3: tomorrow just at the University of Charles. We'll talk to
11:36
Speaker 3: doctor Marty Roth about that coming up a little bit
11:38
Speaker 3: later on. Plus, as I said, there's no shortage of
11:40
Speaker 3: things to do this weekend in the kanav Valley. There
11:42
Speaker 3: is a basketball event being held at Nitro High School,
11:46

Speaker 3: to get the word out about the seriousness of what
15:48
Speaker 3: led to his early demise. Would you care to tell
15:53
Speaker 3: us the story.
15:55
Speaker 5: Yeah, So it happened November the sixth. It was extremely sudden.
15:59
Speaker 5: It was just a normal day. I was actually at
16:02
Speaker 5: work when it happened, but it was a normal day.
16:05
Speaker 5: My son went to school, he would always go to
16:07
Speaker 5: the gym, directly after school and lift weights with his friends.
16:11
Speaker 5: So he went to the gym, came home, my wife
16:14
Speaker 5: made dinner, he ate dinner, and then he came outside
16:16
Speaker 5: to shoot some basketball like he always would. We didn't
16:20
Speaker 5: know what was going on. Like the whole whole event
16:23
Speaker 5: only took three hours from the initial the start of
16:26
Speaker 5: the conversation to the end, so there was no like
16:29
Speaker 5: warning signs or symptoms leading up to it. So we
16:32
Speaker 5: were completely just blown away by by what happened naturally.
16:37
Speaker 5: And then it took us twelve days for the FBI
16:39
Speaker 5: to do a forensics audit on his phone before we
16:41
Speaker 5: ultimately found out what the cause was. And once we
16:45
Speaker 5: found out that it was sextortion, and I went public
16:49
Speaker 5: online and then I realized, like through the comments, that
16:53
Speaker 5: so many people were like us, that we had never
16:56
Speaker 5: heard of sextortion, and so many people fell right right
16:59
Speaker 5: along with us. So it kind of, you know, it
17:02
Speaker 5: was pretty obvious to me that I had to put
17:06
Speaker 5: my foot on the gas and sound the alarm so
17:08
Speaker 5: that way, you know, we can help prevent other families
17:11
Speaker 5: from having to experience this tragedy that we're.
17:13
Speaker 3: Feeling, you know, And I think this is something again
17:16
Speaker 3: we're talking with Adam Tait and and this is something,
17:20
Speaker 3: as you said, that is a relatively new phenomenon. And look,
17:26
Speaker 3: I guess in a way, Adam, things like this have
17:28
Speaker 3: happened throughout the years, but not not through technology like
17:31
Speaker 3: it is now. And so I don't want to I
17:33
Speaker 3: don't want to say too much. I know the story
17:36
Speaker 3: having talked to you know, other people and seeing the
17:38
Speaker 3: news reports on it, so you can stop me at
17:40
Speaker 3: any time. But basically I'm presuming someone he was come
17:45
Speaker 3: in contact with. It was not anybody local or anything
17:48
Speaker 3: like that. Someone that your son came in contact with,
17:53
Speaker 3: just you know, basically threatened to go public to release
17:56
Speaker 3: certain things. Is that right?
17:58
Speaker 5: Yeah. So they were actually claiming to be a seventeen
18:01
Speaker 5: year old local girl, and they knew that my son
18:04
Speaker 5: lifted weights, and they knew the gym, they knew that
18:06
Speaker 5: he played basketball at nightrol high school. They knew some
18:08
Speaker 5: of his friend's names and mentioned them. So it made
18:11
Speaker 5: it like a truly believable person that was local and
18:15
Speaker 5: kind of gained his trust. And then they sent pictures
18:18
Speaker 5: and then asked for my son to send pictures, and
18:20
Speaker 5: then that you know, ended up turning into explicit images,
18:25
Speaker 5: and then from there, you know, it goes from the
18:28
Speaker 5: wooing stage where they're trying, you know, they're building his trust,
18:31
Speaker 5: then it goes straight into extortion and they try to
18:34
Speaker 5: get you for money. And then whenever they the scammers
18:37
Speaker 5: ultimately find out that you don't have the money, that's
18:39
Speaker 5: whenever they try to promote self harm in these kids.
18:43
Speaker 3: And so what happened and you said, you know that
18:45
Speaker 3: that the FBI took you several days later before the
18:48
Speaker 3: FBI was able to get his phone and be able
18:50
Speaker 3: to get into it. I wonder, again, I don't want
18:52
Speaker 3: to give away too much, but I mean, I wonder
18:53
Speaker 3: what that process was like, because this is something that
18:56
Speaker 3: the FBI does sadly on on a regular basis, because
19:01
Speaker 3: this is a worldwide issue.
19:04
Speaker 5: Oh, without a doubt. Yeah, it's still an act of investigation. Yeah,
19:08
Speaker 5: so they're very limited on what they can tell us.
19:11
Speaker 5: The last I spoke with the FBI, they did say
19:13
Speaker 5: it sounds promising. So we're extremely hopeful and we're praying that,
19:16
Speaker 5: you know, my son gets justice in that regard. But yeah,
19:19
Speaker 5: like to your point, it is absolutely blowing up worldwide.
19:23
Speaker 5: I know, I did research trying to get lost past
19:26
Speaker 5: and funding and so on and so forth. But from
19:29
Speaker 5: just from twenty twenty four to twenty twenty five, there
19:31
Speaker 5: was a three hundred percent increase in sextortion just to
19:33
Speaker 5: the United States alone. So it's definitely not slowing down.
19:37
Speaker 5: And that's why it's really important for us. And you know,
19:40
Speaker 5: it's been our mission to try to spread awareness to
19:41
Speaker 5: help protect other families.
19:43
Speaker 3: And look, Adam, I thank you and your wife and
19:45
Speaker 3: your family to be commended for this, because everybody handles grief,
19:49
Speaker 3: obviously in different ways, and it would be perfectly understandable
19:53
Speaker 3: if you never wanted to talk about it. I mean,
19:55
Speaker 3: I would get that. But I think you folks are
19:58
Speaker 3: to be commended because you know, after everything that's happened
20:01
Speaker 3: to you, you're, as you said, putting your foot on
20:03
Speaker 3: the gas and trying to tell people not only in
20:06
Speaker 3: West Virginia but nationwide and worldwide what a big problem
20:09
Speaker 3: this is. And look, you know, I'm not sure how
20:11
Speaker 3: old a guy you are, but I didn't grow up
20:13
Speaker 3: with any of this. I'm fifty five, man, and you
20:15
Speaker 3: know I did not grow up with with any of
20:18
Speaker 3: this sort of stuff. And the fact that it's so
20:22
Speaker 3: easily and readily happening across the country and across the world.
20:26
Speaker 3: I mean a lot of people are probably of my
20:28
Speaker 3: age and older scratching our headlod I don't even know.
20:30
Speaker 3: I didn't even know this was a thing.
20:33
Speaker 5: Oh yeah, we didn't either. And like I said, the
20:35
Speaker 5: biggest thing is, you know, we had a choice we
20:37
Speaker 5: could make, Like we could either sit in this tragedy
20:39
Speaker 5: and just feel all this pain and nothing good come
20:41
Speaker 5: out of it, or you know, and ultimately, I don't
20:45
Speaker 5: want to give these these cowards that did this to
20:48
Speaker 5: my son the authority to write the ending to my
20:50
Speaker 5: son's story. So I want to dictate that. So my
20:53
Speaker 5: son is not going to be this amazing kid and
20:56
Speaker 5: then this tragedy happened and that's the end of Bryce's story.
20:59
Speaker 5: There's no way that I was going to allow that.
21:01
Speaker 5: So he's his story's going to be told of that
21:03
Speaker 5: of a hero. You know, he's going to be a
21:04
Speaker 5: champion in this and he's his story's going to help
21:06
Speaker 5: protect other people. And so to me, that really wasn't
21:09
Speaker 5: much of a decision, Like I owed it to him
21:12
Speaker 5: to try to correct that. But yet, so that's our mission,
21:15
Speaker 5: just trying to spread awareness because there's so many people
21:18
Speaker 5: that are unaware of the dangers and how fast it happens.
21:21
Speaker 5: You know Bryce's story, you know, situation was three hours.
21:24
Speaker 5: We know if people in Kentucky were start to finish
21:27
Speaker 5: it with twenty minutes. So I just I really need
21:29
Speaker 5: people to understand that this happens extremely fast and often
21:33
Speaker 5: there's no signs.
21:34
Speaker 3: Well. And again I think that when you're especially when
21:38
Speaker 3: you're dealing with people of that age. And look, even
21:41
Speaker 3: the most well well grounded young man or young woman
21:44
Speaker 3: at that age, you we were all I may not
21:47
Speaker 3: be able, many of us can't necessarily understand the story
21:50
Speaker 3: relate to them, but we were all that age, you know,
21:53
Speaker 3: and we know how easily impressionable you are at that age.
21:57
Speaker 3: And that's always been that way. I mean, that's just teenagers, right, and.
22:00
Speaker 5: That is exactly why they target primarily they target teenage boys. Yeah,
22:05
Speaker 5: because these people that do this, and they're extremely proficient,
22:09
Speaker 5: that's all they do from the time they get up
22:11
Speaker 5: to the time they go to bed is try to
22:13
Speaker 5: exploit children. And that is exactly why their target audience
22:16
Speaker 5: is teenage boys. So they know the horrormones and everything
22:19
Speaker 5: going on with them.
22:21
Speaker 3: Yeah, and we're talking to Adam Tait the Dave Allen
22:23
Speaker 3: Show on five Indieline brought to you in part by
22:25
Speaker 3: Morgan and Morgan, America's largest injury law firm. All right,
22:28
Speaker 3: so tell us about what's going to be going on
22:29
Speaker 3: in Nitro at the high school this weekend.
22:32
Speaker 5: Okay, Yeah, So my son absolutely loved basketball, so we
22:36
Speaker 5: were approached by Pray and Play and we know these
22:39
Speaker 5: guys pretty well. My son played basketball with some of
22:41
Speaker 5: their family members, you know, his whole life, so they
22:44
Speaker 5: approached us. You know, we talked about doing a memorial
22:48
Speaker 5: tournament for him to memorialize them, and felt like there
22:50
Speaker 5: was no better way, you know, for us to do
22:53
Speaker 5: that than having a basketball tournament. So the tournament is
22:56
Speaker 5: Tomorrow the eleventh and Sunday the twelfth. The first game
23:00
Speaker 5: tips off at nine o'clock at Nitro High School, the
23:03
Speaker 5: last game, I believe somewhere around seven pm. And then
23:07
Speaker 5: on Sunday, the first tip offs at one ten. We're
23:09
Speaker 5: going to allow everybody to get out of church and whatnot,
23:12
Speaker 5: and it's gonna run through six. There's forty two teams
23:15
Speaker 5: that are participating in the tournament, which was a great turnout. Wow,
23:20
Speaker 5: we're gonna have We're gonna have a DJ We're gonna
23:22
Speaker 5: have full concessions with barbecue and pizza and hot dogs,
23:25
Speaker 5: and we're just trying to make it a great time.
23:27
Speaker 5: And also my wife and I are going to be
23:30
Speaker 5: spreading awareness. We're gonna have some flyers and informational cards
23:33
Speaker 5: to give out the parents so that way they've got
23:35
Speaker 5: some tools that might spark a conversation that they can
23:37
Speaker 5: have with their children.
23:39
Speaker 3: I just wonder. I mean, forty two teams, man, I mean,
23:41
Speaker 3: that's that's incredible. I mean I thought you were gonna say, Okay,
23:45
Speaker 3: we're gonna play an afternoon of basketball, and that's gonna
23:47
Speaker 3: be it. But I mean, you got forty two teams
23:49
Speaker 3: coming in.
23:50
Speaker 5: Forty two teams, and we're going to try to do
23:52
Speaker 5: this annually. So my son's birthday he would have been
23:55
Speaker 5: sixteen April the second, so we're going to try to
23:57
Speaker 5: shoot for around you know, the first wee second week
24:00
Speaker 5: of April each year. And so this is our first
24:03
Speaker 5: time ever organizing something like this. I mean, so there's
24:06
Speaker 5: probably gonna be some things that we can iron out
24:09
Speaker 5: and get better, but you know, a year in and
24:10
Speaker 5: year out. We're going to try to make it bigger
24:12
Speaker 5: and better and just a way to celebrate him and
24:14
Speaker 5: spread awareness and for the community to get together and
24:16
Speaker 5: have a great time.
24:16
Speaker 3: Now, when you said there's these teams that are coming,
24:18
Speaker 3: I mean, what are we talking about, Like is it?
24:21
Speaker 3: I mean, explain to us, like what kind of athletes
24:23
Speaker 3: we're talking about that are coming in for this. I mean,
24:25
Speaker 3: what age groups or whatever.
24:28
Speaker 5: So this what kind of makes it interesting. It's actually
24:30
Speaker 5: K through twelve, so there's a bunch of smaller brackets.
24:35
Speaker 5: I guess you could think because we wanted to allow
24:38
Speaker 5: more champions for the tournament. So this is what's going
24:41
Speaker 5: to make it kind of interesting. Is you're going to
24:43
Speaker 5: have some developmental teams, and you're going to have some
24:45
Speaker 5: travel teams, and there's some teams that are just made
24:49
Speaker 5: up of you know, Bryce's friends from the neighborhood that
24:51
Speaker 5: he played with all the time. So it should be
24:54
Speaker 5: pretty entertaining to watch. But there should be some really
24:58
Speaker 5: competitive games, and we're disturging anybody to come out if
25:00
Speaker 5: they're looking for a good time. I will say that
25:03
Speaker 5: admission is just donation based, so you don't have to
25:06
Speaker 5: worry about Hey, we'd like to come, but you know,
25:08
Speaker 5: we don't have the funds at the moment. We want
25:10
Speaker 5: everybody to come out. You don't have to have any money.
25:13
Speaker 5: We're just we're just trying to have a great weekend
25:15
Speaker 5: of good competitive basketball and be able to spread some
25:18
Speaker 5: awareness on sex stortion.
25:19
Speaker 3: I mean with forty two teams coming in, I mean,
25:22
Speaker 3: that's that's that's a lot of teams. That's a lot
25:25
Speaker 3: of people that I guess I'm just blown away by that.
25:27
Speaker 4: Man.
25:27
Speaker 3: I just wasn't expected. You can tell me that there
25:29
Speaker 3: were gonna be that many teams in your first in
25:30
Speaker 3: your first time out.
25:32
Speaker 5: Trust me, I was nervous. I was like, Okay, is
25:35
Speaker 5: there gonna be two teams show up or you know.
25:37
Speaker 5: So the fact that forty two teams wanted to participate, yeah,
25:40
Speaker 5: that was just it was a beautiful thing to see.
25:44
Speaker 3: Indeed, and it's all going to be at at Nira
25:46
Speaker 3: High School. So at this point, because we got a
25:48
Speaker 3: lot of folks listening right now to the community, we'll
25:52
Speaker 3: get to your closing statement in a moment about the
25:54
Speaker 3: whole the reason you're doing this. But as far as
25:56
Speaker 3: for the tournament this weekend, is there anything that you
25:58
Speaker 3: are in need of because we have the greatest listeners
26:00
Speaker 3: in the world here. Is there any other than just
26:02
Speaker 3: to show up? Is there is there anything that you
26:05
Speaker 3: are in need of from the business community or for individuals?
26:09
Speaker 5: I don't believe. So we had some sponsors that sponsored
26:12
Speaker 5: the event, which were extremely grateful for But no, we've
26:16
Speaker 5: got some vendors setting up. We've already got our concessions covered.
26:20
Speaker 5: So yeah, more or less, we just encourage people to
26:22
Speaker 5: come out and support the event and come and get
26:25
Speaker 5: some material to help, you know, potentially save someone else's
26:28
Speaker 5: wife from this crime. So just people coming out, it's
26:31
Speaker 5: all we ask you.
26:32
Speaker 3: Adam, you talked about a case in Kentucky that was
26:35
Speaker 3: similar to these. I wonder have you had an opportunity
26:37
Speaker 3: to talk to other parents across the country, or for
26:39
Speaker 3: that matter, even across the world that have encountered the
26:42
Speaker 3: same thing.
26:43
Speaker 10: That you have.
26:44
Speaker 5: Yeah, sadly more in a sextortion families group. So it's
26:49
Speaker 5: kind of a it's bad. You hate to say that,
26:52
Speaker 5: it's been nice because there's a bunch of people, unfortunately
26:56
Speaker 5: that have experienced the same exact tragedy. They've lost their
26:59
Speaker 5: children to sextortion. But having the ability to talk with
27:03
Speaker 5: other people that truly know what you're going through. It's
27:06
Speaker 5: been nice community, but we don't want anybody else to
27:09
Speaker 5: join that group so that everybody has a common goal
27:13
Speaker 5: is that we're all trying to spread awareness because you know,
27:16
Speaker 5: I don't think this gets enough attention and how real
27:19
Speaker 5: this is. Like, just since we've gone public with what
27:23
Speaker 5: happened with our son Bryce, there's been over twenty families
27:27
Speaker 5: in the Canal County that have reached out to us,
27:29
Speaker 5: thinking us for going public because they were able to
27:32
Speaker 5: have that conversation with their child and since then they've
27:35
Speaker 5: been targeted, but they knew how to navigate out of
27:38
Speaker 5: it through that conversation. So I truly don't think that
27:42
Speaker 5: people realize how big of an issue this is.
27:45
Speaker 3: Well, you're doing your part. You and your family are
27:48
Speaker 3: certainly doing your part to try to get the word
27:49
Speaker 3: out in As I said, hats off to you people,
27:52
Speaker 3: because everybody handles things like this in different ways, and
27:54
Speaker 3: it would be very easily and nobody would have blamed
27:56
Speaker 3: you in the least, Adam, if you and your family
27:58
Speaker 3: would have just said, look, we're shutting down, don't want
28:00
Speaker 3: to talk about it. But I think you'd be commended
28:02
Speaker 3: for doing what you're what you're doing again. This events
28:04
Speaker 3: are going to be at Nitro High School. Forty two
28:07
Speaker 3: teams coming in. You got vendors, you got food, you
28:09
Speaker 3: got you got dj DJs and whatnot, coveted. Give us
28:13
Speaker 3: the timeline again, give us the time for everything Tomorrow
28:15
Speaker 3: and Sunday.
28:16
Speaker 5: Yeah. Tip off tomorrow is at nine am and it's
28:19
Speaker 5: going to run through seven pm roughly. And then on Sunday, Uh,
28:23
Speaker 5: tip offs at one ten and it's going to run
28:25
Speaker 5: also six or seven o'clock.
28:27
Speaker 3: All right. Uh, well, Adam, I appreciate you taking time
28:31
Speaker 3: out of your schedule to be here. Is there a
28:32
Speaker 3: place online where people can can go on and try
28:35
Speaker 3: to try to get more information? I mean as far
28:37
Speaker 3: as like the events for the weekend or or anything
28:40
Speaker 3: about this, like the whole sex tortion thing.
28:43
Speaker 5: Well, yeah, I actually created a website. It's a Justice
28:46
Speaker 5: for Bryce dot com and then it kind of gives
28:49
Speaker 5: you know, Bryce's story and kind of explains what sex
28:52
Speaker 5: portion is and how to navigate out of it. And
28:54
Speaker 5: then any future events, like we've got the basketball tournament
28:57
Speaker 5: on there, and then we're going to also run a
28:59
Speaker 5: three on three tournament in the summertime, so any future
29:01
Speaker 5: events that we were going to hold in his memory
29:04
Speaker 5: will all be posted there. But you have all means.
29:06
Speaker 5: I encourage people to go to Justice forro Rice dot
29:08
Speaker 5: com read about sextortion and if there's any way that
29:12
Speaker 5: we can help it all. There's a comment section. If
29:15
Speaker 5: someone's going through this currently, please reach out to us
29:17
Speaker 5: and we'll get you. You know, we directed in the
29:19
Speaker 5: place that they need to go to get their help.
29:21
Speaker 3: So all right, Adam, thanks a lot. I did not
29:24
Speaker 3: have never met you, but I've seen your coverage on
29:27
Speaker 3: you know, reporter, we reported on, seen on television, reading
29:29
Speaker 3: in the paper and whatnot. And just hands off to
29:31
Speaker 3: you and your family. And anytime you've got any thing
29:34
Speaker 3: going on like this, Uh, you got free air with
29:36
Speaker 3: me here, buddy, anytime.
29:37
Speaker 5: You need it. Okay, thank you very much, sir.
29:40
Speaker 3: All right, Wow, what a story, I mean, Adam Tate.
29:43
Speaker 3: Uh And again it's just I guess wow, it's it's
29:52
Speaker 3: I'm just blown away by Adam and his wife and
29:55
Speaker 3: the family and friends because no one knows how they
29:59
Speaker 3: would handle this until they were, you know, in that
30:02
Speaker 3: particular situation, and this all, as he said, happened in
30:07
Speaker 3: a matter of a couple of hours. And basically, you know,
30:11
Speaker 3: if you're tuning in late, what happened was his son,
30:15
Speaker 3: His late son Bryce was a victim of sextortion. Someone
30:20
Speaker 3: contacted him claiming to be with photos and all a
30:25
Speaker 3: local girl of his age, explicit photos you know, we're
30:32
Speaker 3: sent and then uh, these scammers they ask, they say, okay,
30:36
Speaker 3: we've got this on you. You've done this. We are
30:39
Speaker 3: going to go public if you do not pay the money.
30:43
Speaker 3: I'm sorry. Most teenagers are not going to have the
30:46
Speaker 3: ability to do that. And it ended, it ended like
30:51
Speaker 3: it did, you know for young Adam Tate and his
30:54
Speaker 3: family's going above and beyond, you know, trying to trying
30:57
Speaker 3: to tell people about this. And look, you know, a guy,
30:59
Speaker 3: I always say for me, say it before. I'm not
31:01
Speaker 3: a parent. But it is a totally different world out there.
31:05
Speaker 3: It's a totally different world in twenty twenty six than
31:09
Speaker 3: what it was in I don't know, twenty ten. I'll
31:13
Speaker 3: just use that as again, it's a totally different world
31:15
Speaker 3: out there now. And it's wow, it's what a story?
31:19
Speaker 3: What a story? Text says? Can these predators be charged
31:23
Speaker 3: with manslaughter? If a victim takes their own life because
31:25
Speaker 3: of them. I remember a woman was found guilty in
31:27
Speaker 3: twenty nineteen of sending her boyfriend numerous texts urging him
31:31
Speaker 3: to end his own life. You know, I'm not an attorney,
31:33
Speaker 3: and I don't pretend to be one, but I mean
31:41
Speaker 3: I would think and knowing. And again, I'd never met,
31:44
Speaker 3: never talked to Adam Tates.
31:45
Speaker 1: Will.
31:45
Speaker 3: We just had this interview, and I have a feeling
31:51
Speaker 3: that that they may have messed with the wrong family,
31:54
Speaker 3: I'll put it that way, and they're trying to try
31:58
Speaker 3: to death and to think that. You know, Adam said
32:01
Speaker 3: that they have been contacted by twenty different families in
32:05
Speaker 3: the Kanaw Valley alone that went through similar things, not
32:09
Speaker 3: necessarily ending the way that Bryce's story did, but twenty
32:13
Speaker 3: different families within you know, a short amount of time
32:16
Speaker 3: here in the Kanaw Valley.
32:18
Speaker 5: Wow.
32:20
Speaker 3: Uh, I don't think he would mind me mentioning him.
32:24
Speaker 3: But I got a text from uh, I mean from
32:27
Speaker 3: a Delegate jb Acres. It's said Delegate Andy Shanmlin. Dana Ferrell,
32:31
Speaker 3: and I worked with Adam Tate on changes to our
32:34
Speaker 3: sextortion laws this past session. I appreciate his open advocacy
32:38
Speaker 3: on what it's obviously a horrible tragedy for his family.
32:40
Speaker 3: Please tell parents to talk to their kids. This can
32:43
Speaker 3: literally happen in the blink of an eye. Yeah, as
32:45
Speaker 3: Adam said, the story in Kentucky, the entire thing start
32:49
Speaker 3: to finish, to happen in twenty minutes. Not Bryce's story,
32:51
Speaker 3: but a story in Kentucky. I appreciate det a good

Speaker 3: about it all week. The Big Marathon's happening all over
35:05
Speaker 3: Charleston this week. In the first one Saturday on the
35:07
Speaker 3: campus of the University of Charleston, but the big one,
35:09
Speaker 3: the whole city being taken over by the University of
35:12
Speaker 3: Charleston Marathon on Sunday. University presidents doctor Marty Roths joins
35:15
Speaker 3: us right now. Good morning, sir, welcome.
35:17
Speaker 6: To the show.
35:18
Speaker 4: Hey Dave, great to be on. How you do it today?
35:20
Speaker 3: Doing fine? You know, we had the ambassador for the
35:23
Speaker 3: event to Atricia Robley on just a few days ago,
35:26
Speaker 3: talking about the need for volunteers. Now she's telling me
35:28
Speaker 3: things are looking good on that front. The weather is
35:32
Speaker 3: going to be great, maybe a little rain overnight tonight,
35:34
Speaker 3: but then it's out of here for the rest of
35:36
Speaker 3: the weekend by tomorrow morning for the event yet at
35:38
Speaker 3: UC and then the big one on Sunday so meteorologist
35:42
Speaker 3: Brian Hughes has done his job.
35:45
Speaker 4: One hundred percent. He has done his part and we're
35:49
Speaker 4: looking forward to great weather. Might be a little warm
35:52
Speaker 4: Sunday afternoon, So the people that take a little longer
35:55
Speaker 4: to complete the marathon just need to pace themselves, make
35:59
Speaker 4: sure that they're drinking pludy of water and join the
36:04
Speaker 4: scenery as they make their way to the finish line.
36:06
Speaker 3: So what led to the University of Charleston to get
36:08
Speaker 3: involved in this.
36:10
Speaker 4: Yeah, so we have been hosting road races for quite
36:14
Speaker 4: a while now through the University of Charleston Honors College,
36:18
Speaker 4: and as we've gotten more successful at it, and it's
36:23
Speaker 4: a completely student run operation. Students Honors College plan and
36:28
Speaker 4: organize the event, we thought it was we were about
36:32
Speaker 4: ready to take on a newer and bigger challenge. Of course,
36:36
Speaker 4: we're inspired by all the great work that the City
36:39
Speaker 4: at Charleston the CBB do to promote support tourism here
36:43
Speaker 4: in the area to drive economic development. And we said, hey,
36:48
Speaker 4: it's been thirty years since there's been a marathon in
36:51
Speaker 4: the capital city. It's about time that that changed, and
36:56
Speaker 4: we were the people to make it happen. Due to
37:00
Speaker 4: great partnerships with the city and the CVB, and incredible
37:05
Speaker 4: sponsors coming forward like United Bank, Vandelia Health, s Film,
37:10
Speaker 4: and Thomas in Battle, we were able to start putting
37:14
Speaker 4: all the pieces in place to have not only a
37:17
Speaker 4: five k here on campus on Saturday, but a full
37:21
Speaker 4: marathon and a half marathon on Sunday.
37:24
Speaker 3: So give us all the details. Let's start on the
37:26
Speaker 3: one marty on campus tomorrow. Give us the details on
37:30
Speaker 3: that one on the five k.
37:32
Speaker 4: Yeah, so it's a five k race. It begins and
37:36
Speaker 4: ends on the Charleston campus. So we're looking forward to
37:41
Speaker 4: getting that race started at nine o'clock and we'll have
37:46
Speaker 4: the awards ceremonies right here on campus. Then on Saturday evening,
37:53
Speaker 4: we'll have a spaghetti dinner because we know runners kind
37:56
Speaker 4: of need to load up on carbs, so we'll have
37:58
Speaker 4: a spaghetti dinner here on campus where runners can come
38:03
Speaker 4: have a great meal and pick up their welcome packets,
38:07
Speaker 4: and then we'll make sure they get a good night's
38:10
Speaker 4: rest and be ready bright and early on Sunday down
38:14
Speaker 4: on Capitol Street. And the starting gun will go off
38:18
Speaker 4: at seven on Sunday, and we anticipate that we'll be
38:24
Speaker 4: over in Slock Plaza celebrating our runners and issuing awards
38:31
Speaker 4: around eleven am.
38:32
Speaker 3: All right, and again we do want to make sure
38:33
Speaker 3: that people realize there's going to be some traffic issues
38:35
Speaker 3: with this, and as soon as we wrap up the interview,
38:38
Speaker 3: I've got all the information. I'll go into all that
38:39
Speaker 3: a little bit later on. But the bottom line is,
38:41
Speaker 3: if you're running Marty and you're a runner yourself, plan
38:44
Speaker 3: on hydrating because it's going to feel more like by
38:46
Speaker 3: the time Sunday rolls around. But you know you're wrapping
38:49
Speaker 3: it up relatively right. Again, you're starting at seven, but
38:51
Speaker 3: it's going to feel like more maybe a little bit
38:54
Speaker 3: more like July than what it is April.
38:57
Speaker 4: Certainly by the time you get to mid afternoons. So
39:00
Speaker 4: the runners who you know are out there looking for
39:04
Speaker 4: a Boston qualifying time, they'll probably be celebrating by the
39:10
Speaker 4: time the weather gets too warm. But certainly for those
39:14
Speaker 4: who are taking a more kind of leisurely paced it
39:17
Speaker 4: will definitely get warm once we kind of get past noon,
39:21
Speaker 4: so hydration is critically important. We'll have water stations throughout
39:25
Speaker 4: the course, but you want to make sure that you've
39:29
Speaker 4: taken in a lot of liquids starting the day before
39:32
Speaker 4: the race.
39:32
Speaker 3: And when we talked to Tricia the other day, she said,
39:34
Speaker 3: there's going to be Pepperoni roll stations. Now, I know
39:37
Speaker 3: you're a guy that's been all over the country. You know,
39:39
Speaker 3: you're running a marathon in West Virginia, Marty. When you've
39:43
Speaker 3: got Pepperoni roll stations one.
39:46
Speaker 4: Hundred percent, you know, we're all local here, Dave. So yeah,
39:50
Speaker 4: and we're really excited. Not only have we kind of
39:53
Speaker 4: blown it out of the water in terms of the
39:55
Speaker 4: number of runners who are registered, we have over seven
39:59
Speaker 4: high hundred people. They're going to be participating in the
40:03
Speaker 4: five k and the half marathon, in the full marathon,
40:06
Speaker 4: but we have hundreds of volunteers. So we want to
40:10
Speaker 4: make sure that everything goes very smoothly for the runners,
40:13
Speaker 4: everything goes smoothly for folks who will, you know, face
40:17
Speaker 4: a little bit of disruption inconvenience, you know, in their
40:20
Speaker 4: cars or in their in their strolls. As you know,
40:25
Speaker 4: we have to carve out twenty six miles of pathways
40:28
Speaker 4: for these folks to complete the marathon.
40:31
Speaker 3: But we'll have medical.
40:33
Speaker 4: Stations, we'll have water stations, we'll be directing traffic people
40:38
Speaker 4: can still register for the races, they can still register
40:40
Speaker 4: to volunteer, and most importantly, we want everybody in the community,
40:44
Speaker 4: whether you're in downtown, east Side, West End, Canos City,
40:50
Speaker 4: come here to campus. We really want to cheer everybody on,
40:54
Speaker 4: make them feel welcome for coming to the University of
40:58
Speaker 4: Charleston Marathon, wherever they're from. Forty states, five countries are
41:03
Speaker 4: going to be represented throughout the weekend, and we want
41:07
Speaker 4: them to feel what we feel every day, what a warm,
41:10
Speaker 4: welcoming and encouraging community it is here in Charleston, West Virginia.
41:15
Speaker 3: Marty Roth, President of the University of Charleston, we appreciate
41:18
Speaker 3: you taking time out of your schedule to join us in.
41:20
Speaker 3: We'll have to we'll have you on again real soon.
41:21
Speaker 3: Thanks a lot, looking forward to it.
41:23
Speaker 4: Dave, thank you, Thank you.
41:25
Speaker 3: And you know, it is interesting kind of what I
41:27
Speaker 3: was talking about about people coming into Charlestons. So now
41:29
Speaker 3: you think about that there's forty states coming in for
41:32
Speaker 3: this marathon, forty states, five foreign countries. And then going
41:36
Speaker 3: back to the interview that we did with Adam Tate
41:38
Speaker 3: about the basketball event at Nitro, there's forty two teams
41:43
Speaker 3: for that Now, granted, you know a lot of those
41:47
Speaker 3: teams are going to be local teams, but you got
41:48
Speaker 3: forty two teams coming in for this Bryce state event
41:51
Speaker 3: at Nitro High School Saturday and Sunday, and for the
41:54
Speaker 3: two marathons and what on the University of Charleston campus
41:57
Speaker 3: and the other one downtown. It's going to go all
41:59
Speaker 3: over Charleston West as Marty said, west end to the
42:02
Speaker 3: east end, Kanas City, south Hills is going to be everywhere.
42:06
Speaker 3: I mean, you've got forty states and five countries that
42:10
Speaker 3: are coming in for this thing. So with that, if
42:14
Speaker 3: you want to know if you are going to be
42:16
Speaker 3: impacted by the traffic situation, it's very important for Sunday
42:19
Speaker 3: for church services, brunch or whatever go. I would say
42:23
Speaker 3: that the City of Charleston and the Charleston Police Department
42:26
Speaker 3: to put out some great information. It's directly available on
42:29
Speaker 3: the City of Charleston's Facebook page. So this is just
42:33
Speaker 3: for the one on Sunday. They're saying expect rolling closures,
42:37
Speaker 3: some hard closures along the race route. There will be
42:41
Speaker 3: temporary delays. So if you're going to heading out to church,
42:44
Speaker 3: heading out to do some shopping, brunch or a combination
42:47
Speaker 3: of all just plan on that most roads are going
42:50
Speaker 3: to reopen after the runners pass and the timing issue
42:54
Speaker 3: seven to nine am. The West Side and Patrick Street
42:59
Speaker 3: bridges will be impacted. Eight am to noon, the runners
43:02
Speaker 3: will move through the University campus area, and by noon
43:07
Speaker 3: most should be off the course. Key closure areas this
43:10
Speaker 3: is and again, I know I'm throwing out a lot
43:12
Speaker 3: of information. Many of you are probably driving right now,
43:15
Speaker 3: but I'm just saying all this information is available on
43:18
Speaker 3: the City of Charleston's Facebook page. The key closures Sunday
43:22
Speaker 3: morning early afternoon will be Canall Boulevard, Court Street Towards Avenue,
43:27
Speaker 3: mccorkill Avenue one nineteen to Porter Road, south Side Bridge
43:32
Speaker 3: will have restricted access, and Capitol Street, Lee Triangle and
43:36
Speaker 3: Summer Streets all downtown. You go to the City of
43:40
Speaker 3: Charleston's Facebook page and they're working with the Charleston Police
43:43
Speaker 3: Department on this, probably on their page too. I'm actually
43:45
Speaker 3: looking at the City of Charleston's Facebook page right now
43:47
Speaker 3: and there's actually a link to an actual map that
43:50
Speaker 3: you can see on there. So we're just letting you
43:52
Speaker 3: know the first time in thirty years that there's been
43:54
Speaker 3: an event like this in Charleston. And there are forty
43:57
Speaker 3: states coming in folks, forty states and five worn countries
44:01
Speaker 3: for this thing. So your traffic is going to be
44:03
Speaker 3: impacted downtown on Sunday, and just just plan on it. Okay. Now,
44:08
Speaker 3: we also want to make sure that those of you
44:11
Speaker 3: that are going out to the Westernia Home Show, which
44:14

Speaker 3: or weeks to go down. Text what's up with Milania
47:56
Speaker 3: coming out and distancing herself with Epstein? They have photos
47:59
Speaker 3: and text of her with Epstein and Maxwell. This has
48:02
Speaker 3: to be a joke. Well, I don't know about text
48:04
Speaker 3: message not saying that that's not correct. It may be,
48:08
Speaker 3: but I will say that there's not a powerful person
48:12
Speaker 3: that hasn't been linked to Jeffrey Epstein in one way
48:14
Speaker 3: or the other. Now, does it mean that they're all criminals. No,
48:17
Speaker 3: absolutely not. But if you go back and you look
48:20
Speaker 3: at the photos of people, people, powerful people gravitate toward
48:25
Speaker 3: each other. And I'm not defending anything that Jeffrey Epstein did.
48:29
Speaker 3: I'm not talking about that. I'm just talking about you
48:31
Speaker 3: got to be and I'm not talking even about Malania
48:34
Speaker 3: at the first lady. I'm saying that you just got
48:37
Speaker 3: to be careful when you just start casting a net
48:43
Speaker 3: saying that, well, they ran in the same circles of Jeffrey, Well,
48:46
Speaker 3: pretty much anybody who was anybody in power, politics, Hollywood, music, whatever,
48:51
Speaker 3: ran with Jeffrey Epstein at one point or another. Okay,
48:54
Speaker 3: just just s throwing that out there. Coming up on

49:38
Speaker 3: be of a lunch spot today coming up at one
49:40

50:13
Speaker 3: as we say, into business super served newspapers, which is
50:16
Speaker 3: going to leave a lot of newspapers, even online newspapers
