- 0:00What's going on, folks. It's Jeff here. I wanted to let you
- 0:03know we've recorded this Opposition Territory podcast on Monday, July first, twenty twenty
- 0:07four. By the time you hear this, some things may have changed here
- 0:10or there, but we hope you enjoy the show. What's up, everybody,
- 0:29Welcome to Opposition Territory here at the Philadelphia Sports Table podcast show, the
- 0:33longest running weekly Phillis sports podcast show in the world. That's right eleven years
- 0:37strong. We've got a great discussion coming for you here about the Buffalo Bills.
- 0:42What is this team going to be doing in the AFC this coming season.
- 0:46It's been an interesting offseason for the Buffalo Bills. They've got a lot
- 0:50of moving parts. They got a young defense that we're gonna be talking about
- 0:53in just a bit with our guests. So why don't we just get right
- 0:57to it to get into the Buffalo Bills and what we are going to be
- 0:59seeing from this team this coming season. They're gonna be a very interesting team
- 1:03to follow, for sure. We've got our good friend of the podcast,
- 1:07Sarah Larson. Sarah, thanks so much for joining us this week on Opposition
- 1:11Territory. Here, thank you. Yeah, yeah, I know it's it's
- 1:15been fun the last couple of times, so look forward to it. Absolutely,
- 1:18it's been a lot of fun. Look, before we get into the
- 1:19topics, before we get into some bills talk here, where can folks find
- 1:23you on the interwebs out there? Because I know you've got a lot of
- 1:26things going on. Where can folks find you out there? Yeah? Well,
- 1:29on Twitter is probably the most popular spot. A lot of people follow
- 1:33me at Sarah s R A Underscore Larson l E R s O N.
- 1:38That's where most of it is and a lot of really exciting news coming out
- 1:42over the next couple of weeks. So definitely follow me and see where we're
- 1:47all. You know, where we're all headed. Sounds good, sounds good.
- 1:49Well, Sarah, let's get into this Buffalo Bills team, what we're
- 1:53gonna be seeing this coming season. But well, actually first I really kind
- 1:57of want to go back to last season in a way. Whenever we have
- 2:00our Opposition Territory podcast here, we kind of like to reflect on whether it's
- 2:05the off season, the previous season, to see where teams are at as
- 2:07they're moving forward here. I remember the last time you were on the show.
- 2:10I think it was last November, right before the Eagles Bills game in
- 2:14phil You did our Opposition Territory pod, then our preview game show, and
- 2:19you were at that game. You traveled down to the Link. Yes,
- 2:23the Eagles did beat the Bills thirty seven to thirty four in over time.
- 2:27And what an incredible game in so many ways, not necessarily from the game
- 2:31itself, but because of what resulted for both teams in subsequent weeks. The
- 2:38Eagles absolutely fell off a cliff down the stretch. They were horrendous. Meanwhile,
- 2:44the Bills rallied. The Bills didn't lose another game until the game against
- 2:47Kansas City and the playoffs, where I think they lost by maybe three points.
- 2:52I think, yeah, missfield goal, Yep, Yes, that's what
- 2:54it was. And I guess when you reflect on that Eagles Bills game last
- 2:59year year when you were at the Link, what did that mean to the
- 3:01team, to the Bill's fan base, and consequently how did it transform the
- 3:06latter part of the season, even though the Bills didn't get to the Super
- 3:08Bowl, Like, what did that game actually mean last season? Is it
- 3:13propelled them to a very successful latter part of twenty twenty three. Yeah,
- 3:17I you know, did not appreciate that game as much as you did probably
- 3:23well, yeah, there were some interesting calls, yes, Yeah, the
- 3:27rain was atrocious. The officiating was pretty atrocious. I think that, as
- 3:32as Bill's fans have probably stated since the nineties, it's always been Buffalo against
- 3:39the world, I think that game kind of made the team feel like it
- 3:44was them against the world. Ye it kind of turned on a switch for
- 3:47them. We had had so many injuries throughout the season, catastrophic injuries,
- 3:53season ending injury, you know, injuries. So I kind of feel like
- 3:57that that's what they felt like. It was, you know, the Bills
- 3:59again the world, and it propelled them to, like, like you said,
- 4:04go on this winning streak for the Eagles. I joked a little bit
- 4:08on Twitter, not your guys's expense as much as as I, you know,
- 4:15I did say the Bills broke the Eagles, and ironically, I know
- 4:18you guys won, but I think there was so much trauma from from all
- 4:24the calls and all the focus on the calls and that game and you guys
- 4:29actually were getting beat bad. Now you came back and you know, the
- 4:32rain was played some of a part of it. The Calls played some part
- 4:35of it, but the Bills played you know, they they beat themselves in
- 4:40so many categories of that game. But yeah, so I joked about it
- 4:44a little bit on on Twitter, but I think that in the in the
- 4:46long run, I actually don't like winning out like that so much at the
- 4:53end of the season because it does you know, we talked about streaks a
- 4:57little bit earlier, about my traveling streak. Yeah, it's a lot of
- 5:00pressure, it is. It puts that you know, oh, we've won
- 5:05six games in a row, seven games in a row. Now we're in
- 5:08the playoffs and it's win or go home, right, So it's a lot
- 5:12of pressure. I think. So I kind of like getting that, unless
- 5:15obviously you need the win in order to make it into the playoffs. But
- 5:17I kind of liked that, you know, getting that one of those losses
- 5:21out last couple of weeks of the season. But you know, like you
- 5:25said, at one point we were looking at whether or not we were going
- 5:28to be the seventh seed, and winning out we ended up being the second
- 5:31seed. So it was a big, you know, big turnaround towards the
- 5:33end of the season. Yeah, the Bills definitely started to break. I
- 5:38looked at that Bills game and reflecting on it, it was kind of like
- 5:41taking a board, a wooden board, and you just start breaking it.
- 5:44You hear the cracks, you hear the cracks in the board. And that's
- 5:47consequently the following week against the forty nine, the forty nine ers just took
- 5:51that board and completely broke it, threw it on the ground, stomped on
- 5:56it. That was the Eagles season right there in a nutshell. So all
- 5:59right, well, Sarah, good reflections on last year. Let's talk about
- 6:02this coming season, and we're going to see from the Bills a lot has
- 6:06been made of a team that has really gone through some changes, whether it's
- 6:11online from various analysts. Look, they've lost wide receiver Stefan Diggs, Gabe
- 6:16Davis, center Mitch Morse, safety Jordan Poyer, cornerback to Davius White,
- 6:23and others as well. It's going to be a younger team for sure here
- 6:28in twenty twenty four in various ways. The vibe again from various Ana analysts
- 6:33and this team is that they could potentially be taking a step back this season.
- 6:39I mean, I think that's been that vibe and that feeling from the
- 6:42sports football NFL community in general. I'm wondering what's the vibe from the fan
- 6:46base from Bill's Nation about where this team is truly at and if they are
- 6:53you know, possibly looking at possibly quote regressing in the twenty twenty four season.
- 6:58What are your thoughts here. I I kind of hate the narrative coming
- 7:01out of you know, the sports analysis and commentators, uh, the way
- 7:08that they've been this offseason. Yes, we have lost so many you know,
- 7:14integral parts of the team. I'm not I'm not gonna downplay that at
- 7:16all. I think that you want to make me emotional because yeah, no,
- 7:23I mean Jordan Poyer, Micah Hyde, Todavious White, Trey. Trey
- 7:27was one of my favorite favorite personalities on that team, so, you know,
- 7:31and I know Jordan Poyer's family personally, so like losing him and especially
- 7:35to the Dolphins that you know, that definitely hurt. But you know,
- 7:42I definitely feel like we needed to get younger at some of the areas I
- 7:46feel like we got beat at sometimes, you know, and I'm not saying
- 7:50that age definitely factors into speed because you know, obviously you have some very
- 7:57fast wide receivers like type kill who's approaching thirty, if not already thirty.
- 8:03So it definitely, you know, affects what people's perception is. Well,
- 8:07the other part of that is we were kind of going into salary cap hell
- 8:13a little bit, so we definitely had to get rid of some of these
- 8:15guys. So I get where the national media is taking us. But at
- 8:20the same time, I believe we have the second best quarterback in the NFL
- 8:26so with Josh Allen. So I believe that no matter what, this is
- 8:31a winning football team. I think that trying to figure it out is going
- 8:35to be their biggest thing to overcome. The youth on the team is doesn't
- 8:43necessarily equate to to immaturity. That we have some very young, but very
- 8:48mature guys on the team. I think that between Josh Allen and James Cook,
- 8:56our offense is going to be different, but uh still good. And
- 9:01I think that a lot of people forget that James Cook he had the sixth
- 9:05most I want to fifth or sixth most all purpose large yards yeah last year.
- 9:09And that's not just for running backs, that's all you know, that's
- 9:13overall. Yeah, So you know a lot of people haven't really put any
- 9:18true respect on his name as a as a running back. So I look
- 9:22forward to to seeing how they're gonna have it all play out. I think
- 9:26daland KKD is gonna be even better this year. Yeah yeah, I mean,
- 9:31like I said, it definitely makes me upset that we lost so many
- 9:35of those players that kind of pull on your heartstrings a little bit. Stuff
- 9:39on Diggs is my favorite player, so losing him was definitely, uh,
- 9:45definitely hard, and I was in my feelings for probably a couple of weeks.
- 9:50But I'm looking forward to it. I think this offense can be interesting.
- 9:54Kean Coleman's going to be an interesting rookie and clear Shaquille Less this year
- 10:01stepped up and I believe he became wide receiver to last year, and I
- 10:05think that he's going to continue to progress this year as well. Gabe Davis
- 10:09certainly dropped off from a wide receiver perspectives, as many know. And you
- 10:13know, Bill's Nation wasn't necessarily I think the big the biggest fan of the
- 10:18fan base, you know. But it's interesting how you mentioned the offense here
- 10:22and the direction they're going to be going in. You mentioned Dalton Kincaid,
- 10:26and I do wonder from an offensive perspective, how much of this Bill's offense
- 10:31is actually going to be put on Kincaid's shoulders, Sarah, because you know,
- 10:35from a receiving standpoint, I mean, yes, you mentioned Shakur as
- 10:39well, but it doesn't appear that there's necessarily gonna be any wide receivers breaking
- 10:45in the NFL records this year, which leads me to believe they're going to
- 10:48be leaning a lot on Dalton Kincaid, especially in the receiving aspect of things.
- 10:52Perhaps James Cook as well. As you were mentioning, I don't know
- 10:56what are your thoughts on how the receiving corps itself is potential going to perform
- 11:01this season. It's gonna be different, Like you mentioned, how do you
- 11:03see it all playing out in the end? Yeah, I actually don't think
- 11:07we're going to have a clear and obvious wide receiver one. And I'm not
- 11:13talking you know your ex and your Z you know receivers in the position they
- 11:18play. I'm talking like targets where we'll have, you know, the first
- 11:22option. I think that everyone on the on the team is going to probably
- 11:28average about five targets a game. I shouldn't say everyone on the team.
- 11:31You have you know, uh Kincaid, Samuels, you have Shakir and then
- 11:37you have Coleman I. You know, I honestly think that those four will
- 11:43probably get five targets a game guaranteed, Like that's that's how it's gonna happen.
- 11:48And then you've got to split between James Cook and Ray Davis. Ray
- 11:50Davis is our rookie running back that we just got. They both have really
- 11:54good hands. Now, people pick on on Cook a little bit because he
- 11:58had a couple blow drops last year, but those few drops that he had,
- 12:03the reason why everybody you know makes it such a big deal is because
- 12:07it was in big time, you know, big moments. But he actually
- 12:11does have good hands. He worked on that a lot last year and it
- 12:15can it came about. We saw, you know, he had like four
- 12:18or five hundred yards receiving last year as a running back. So I think
- 12:22between him and Ray Davis they'll probably share another five targets. So that puts
- 12:26the you know, Josh Allen around twenty five targets. I think he's the
- 12:30best between twenty five and thirty two. Ish. I don't like it when
- 12:33he throws forty times a game, so I you know, I kind of
- 12:37broke it down more analytically. That's how I always do everything, is I'm
- 12:41like, okay, well, then the next five to seven passes will be
- 12:45with whoever's you know working you know, working out well that game. So
- 12:50if you have one person who has been consistent, has you know, made
- 12:54the difficult catches, has you know, been getting any kind of separation throughout
- 13:00the game, I think that that's going to be different weekend and week out.
- 13:03I think that there's gonna be mismatches. And that's kind of the beauty.
- 13:07And it's hard for me to say the word beauty and saying without stuff
- 13:11on Diggs on the team, but that's kind of the beauty of not having
- 13:15Josh Allen being so in his own head of this ball needs to go to
- 13:22Stephan Diggs first, or he needs to be my first option. And if
- 13:26not, then try to check it down because if he's always constantly thinking that
- 13:30way and that quick progression that you have, and once you snap the ball,
- 13:33he's that's why it takes off and has to run or that's why he
- 13:37would get, you know, get a sack, or that's why he's forcing
- 13:39it into somebody and getting an interception. So I think this year it's gonna
- 13:43be that little bit of pressure of why aren't you throwing the ball to me?
- 13:48Why is the ball not coming to me? Is going to be removed.
- 13:52So I think that that's actually gonna take less pressure off of Josh,
- 13:56make him more accurate and more consistent, and kind of make the ride receivers
- 14:01have a little bit more fun too, because whoever's performing better is gonna get
- 14:03more of the targets. That's kind of how I envisioned the offense this year.
- 14:09Whether or not Joe Brady sees the same thing, I don't know,
- 14:13but I really do think that, you know, we'll be running the ball
- 14:16as well, so I you know, I think that we're gonna miss Stefan
- 14:22Diggs, and I think Kinkaid's going to have a huge part of that offense.
- 14:26I think the person who's gonna see a lot less of those targets will
- 14:30be uh Dlson Knox. I think he's gonna have you know, he's gonna
- 14:35be out there probably blocking a little bit more than he's going to be receiving.
- 14:41You mentioned, you know, the beauty kind of of the unknown in
- 14:43a way. And you know that. Let's shift over now to the defensive
- 14:48side of things here, because I think in the NFL in general, when
- 14:52teams go through changes, the beauty of the unknown is something that's fascinating because
- 14:56it's not only for the fan base, you know, there's an excite that
- 15:00builds be you know, for various fan bases, but the teams that are
- 15:05playing against that unknown, it makes it that much more interesting. I mean,
- 15:09this Bill's defense is going to look a lot younger, especially with some
- 15:13of the new draft talent as well. And look, I could have missed
- 15:16it, Sarah, but I still don't think Sean McDermott has decided who's going
- 15:20to be calling the defensive plays this year, whether it's him or a defensive
- 15:24coordinator. Yeah, Boby Babbage, I'll probably I should say, it's probably
- 15:31gonna get worked out in training camp. But I'm wondering what are your thoughts
- 15:35on not only what's going to be new and younger in terms of this defense
- 15:39and how that may play out, but who may be calling the shots here.
- 15:43Again, the beauty of the unknown. I wonder if it is going
- 15:46to be a beautiful thing here for the for Bill's nation or if there's some
- 15:50trepidation here, what are your thoughts. Well, I'm actually very happy that
- 15:54Babbage is the defensive coordinator, just to take that pressure off of McDermott trying
- 16:00to do the weekly stuff as long, you know, of being head coach
- 16:03and trying to be the defensive coordinator and get everything ready. I think that,
- 16:07you know, just taking that pressure off of him is going to be
- 16:11is going to be a lot better than it was last year. I think
- 16:15also that Sean McDermott did state that he will give Babbage the opportunity during training
- 16:22camp and during preseason to call plays, So if he does well, we
- 16:29might see him calling plays week one. I think that that leash will be
- 16:32very short. McDermott is a very controlled human being, like he not that
- 16:41he needs to be in control, but if he doesn't, he doesn't,
- 16:45in my opinion, have a space to allow for too much failure. I
- 16:53know that sounds terrible, but I mean we've seen him bench rookies for a
- 17:00fumble or get mad at a wide receiver for a drop and now they're on
- 17:03the sideline for a while. Especially when we're in that situation, that sitution
- 17:08a situation with within a game that if we could have won because of a
- 17:15different call or something and he would have made a different call. I think
- 17:21he'll he would, he'll he's going to rain in that that that leash really
- 17:25soon if he is to give Babbage the control early. Now, I think
- 17:30that there's also the opportunity where he'll go into the season calling plays himself,
- 17:37giving Babbage the opportunity to to do all the preparation for the week and everything
- 17:41else, and then games were potentially ahead by a lot, saying okay,
- 17:48you know, let's see what you would do to finish out this game and
- 17:49close out the game, and and kind of slowly start to give him control.
- 17:56So we'll see how that works out. But he did publicly state that
- 17:59he's going to give Babbage that that opportunity during camp and during preseason to to
- 18:03see how he does. So. I think the defense is intriguing. I'm
- 18:11definitely I'm glad we've gotten younger. I'm gonna miss some of the guys,
- 18:15I really am, But I think that overall we've gotten better on the line.
- 18:22I really do think that our defensive line has gotten better. Uh So
- 18:25I'm looking forward to seeing how they all kind of meshed together to together.
- 18:29I think we have the best nickel corner in the league. Are two cornerbacks,
- 18:34uh minus Trade White. Now I still think we're we have We have
- 18:40quite a bit of depth there at corner as well, So I'm I'm definitely
- 18:44looking forward to all of that. I don't know how elm is gonna perform
- 18:48or whether or not he'll even make the team. I do think he'll make
- 18:52the team, but most people are saying he might not. But a season
- 18:57pretty much where he didn't play last year at all, So I look forward
- 19:00to seeing what he can do to back up at corner. So it is
- 19:07a little concerning this year to not know. It's the unknown, like you
- 19:11were saying, But I do think that we have a great young linebacker corps,
- 19:17and our defensive tackles I think are beasts. So we'll see how they
- 19:21all mesh together. Well, you talked about the concerns here, and we
- 19:25got a two part question for you here as we're moving along with the discussion
- 19:29before we get to our our last topic as well, concerns where you have
- 19:36the most concern and concerns that are the least of your concern Moving into this
- 19:41season. Let's start off where you are least concerned on the team. I
- 19:45have a feeling I may know what this aspect of the team is, but
- 19:49where are you least concerned when it comes to the Buffalo Bills this coming season.
- 19:53Yeah, Josh Allen and James Cook. I'm gonna throw them in there
- 19:56as a pair. I'm least concerned and about them. I think that they're
- 20:00gonna, you know, they're gonna be where the offense kind of uh kind
- 20:06of moves through them throughout the year. And I'm also a lot more confident
- 20:10in Joe Brady this year. He was kind of thrown into the mix last
- 20:14year halfway through the season that you know, a lot of people you talked
- 20:18about the Philadelphia game, a lot of people kind of stated that that's where,
- 20:22you know, he came into play. After that game, we won
- 20:26out and he was there, but our offense looked very different. I actually
- 20:30think her offense kind of started looking worse. But that's also, of course,
- 20:34we have a brand new coordinator, you know, out there trying to
- 20:37call plays and kind of trying to mesh and gel with with Josh and the
- 20:41rest of the team. So I think that this year, especially with the
- 20:45whole off season and training camp and everything. I have no concerns about Josh
- 20:52and James Cook, and definitely a lot more confident with Joe Brady, So
- 20:55I'm looking forward to seeing how he kind of makes everything come together this year.
- 21:00On the flip side, where do you have the most concern when it
- 21:03comes to this Bills team heading into this season? I would imagine it may
- 21:06be on the defensive side of things. Well, I'm actually gonna cut this
- 21:08in half. I'm going to cut this in half offensively. My biggest concern
- 21:12is we only have one returning wide receiver. I'm not gonna I'm not gonna
- 21:18say because Kincaid's technically a tight end. We only have one returning wide receiver,
- 21:22which is Khalil Khalil Shakir, So he is the only person that Josh
- 21:26has really played with much of anything. Shorter was a rookie last year,
- 21:33but he was on IR the whole year, so we don't even know if
- 21:36Justin Short is gonna make this team or if he's going to have any significant
- 21:40contribution. So we have mvs Chase, Claypool, mccollins, Curtis, Samuel,
- 21:47all of these people are very intriguing ideas at wide receiver, and I
- 21:52don't know if there's I mean, we'll probably keep six, maybe possibly seven
- 21:57wide receivers this year, so it'll be interesting to see who makes the team.
- 22:03Who's meshing with Josh really well. Chase Claypool and you know in MVS
- 22:08UH could both come out and have killer seasons. You know, this is
- 22:14kind of make a break for both of them, whether or not they're going
- 22:18to get a real contract again, you know, moving forward, because they've
- 22:21both kind of fallen off. You know, MVS has the best of like
- 22:26the best quarterbacks. He's worked with Rogers, he's worked with, Uh,
- 22:33Patrick Mahomes that was working with Josh. It's crazy. So I hope,
- 22:37like the in my mind, I'm like, this guy could really have,
- 22:41uh, you know, a good future. Chase Claypool when he was with
- 22:45Pittsburgh, I was like, this guy is huge, He's a beast.
- 22:48He could do this. And then obviously they've had the turnaround at quarterback over
- 22:56the last couple of years and he just hasn't been able to perform. And
- 23:00then last year he was just all over the place, team to team to
- 23:03team. So he's he's actually been ironically the most out of all of the
- 23:10all the training camp and not training camp, excuse me, all of the
- 23:14mandatory you know, mini camps and all the camps that they've had. Most
- 23:18people that have been able to to get in and see it have said that
- 23:22Chase Claypool has kind of been the most consistent wide receiver. So, I
- 23:26mean, no one's even talking about him, really, We've been talking about
- 23:30Curtis Samuels and Kean Coleman, and you know, I think Shakir is going
- 23:34to be that little bit of a dark horse coming in. He did really
- 23:37well last year and I think as long as he gets the targets, he's
- 23:41going to do well again this year. So that was offensively. Defensively,
- 23:45I'm gonna say our safeties. I mean, Taylor rap Is is good.
- 23:49He did, he did very well last year. Mike Mike Edwards, we
- 23:55got him from Kansas City. I'm looking forward to seeing how he he does.
- 24:00But behind him is a rookie cole Bishop not too much. Yeah,
- 24:04yeah, not at all. And then behind tailor rep Is cam Lewis,
- 24:08who he's had. He's had his moments, but he's also got burnt quite
- 24:15a bit. So we all love him on the team. I don't want
- 24:21to say it like that, we all love him on the team. We
- 24:22just don't want him to need to start, you know. And then we
- 24:26have DeMar Hamlin, which is you know, you love him, you love
- 24:32him and what he's went through. But then people who will not concerned physically.
- 24:41I am not concerned with his physical health whatsoever at all anymore. I
- 24:45believe and I've seen him work out. I believe he's fully healthy. My
- 24:51concern is even beef. I don't I don't want to talk too negatively about
- 24:56about the man because he's a sweetheart. But my concern is even before or
- 25:00the injury, he wasn't quite up to par to play, you know,
- 25:06to fill in if if he needed to play consistent downs. Now he had
- 25:10spurts where he did really well at times, but consistently long term, so
- 25:18that depth isn't there at safety. So I'm a little I am a little
- 25:22concerned. We do have about ten million dollars in cap space. Definitely need
- 25:27to bring some into obvious brings some into the season. You got to pay
- 25:30for a practice squad and all that stuff. But that might be something that
- 25:33they're kind of waiting for training camp to see where we need that additional depth
- 25:40before we go and spend more money. All right, very good again,
- 25:41folks, We're talking to Sarah Larson at Sarah Underscore Larson on the Twitter slash
- 25:48x. Give her a follow, she is a great, great follow.
- 25:49And our final segment here before I have to let you go, Sarah,
- 25:55gonna give you a few categories here. We like to do this every now
- 25:57and then on our Opposition Territory PODCAS and if you can just give me a
- 26:02player that comes to mind in a brief reason why that player comes to mind
- 26:07this coming season, I think it'll be fun here. Who needs to be
- 26:10the Who's gonna be the comeback kid for the Bills this season? Who's the
- 26:14comeback kid? Comeback kid? I'm gonna have to say Matt Milano. Yeah,
- 26:21he went down on mid season and well a little bit a little bit
- 26:25earlier than mid season, I think it was week five, and uh he
- 26:30was he was playing really well up until that point. So I'm gonna say
- 26:33Matt Milano. All right, sounds good. Who's the Buffalo bill player that
- 26:37needs to bounce back this season? Who needs to bounce von Miller von Miller.
- 26:41There you go. That's that seems obvious. Yeah, that's easy one,
- 26:45all right. And as we're moving along, here a couple more the
- 26:48rising Star, who do you see is the rising star and the Buffalo Bills
- 26:52this coming season. Well, I'm gonna try to I would. I would
- 26:56have probably screamed out Kean Coleman, but he is a rookie, so he's
- 27:00not really we don't know what he's gonna be yet. So I'm gonna split
- 27:04this one between Dalton Kinkaid, which we've talked about quite a bit, and
- 27:07Khalier Shakir because I think Khalier Shakir was the rising star last year, but
- 27:14I think he's even gonna take a step further this year. And Dalton Kinkaid,
- 27:18you know, had a little bit of those those freshman wrote woes the
- 27:22bookie rose towards the end of the season. I think that he'll he'll shake
- 27:26that, you know, playing more game. You know, he got used
- 27:30to having all those games under his belt. So I think that they're both
- 27:33gonna kind of establish a name for themselves this year. I like those uh.
- 27:37I like those guys in terms of the uh who is going to be
- 27:41the rising star for sure, and finally the dark horse m v P.
- 27:45You know, we get We talked about Josh Allen's amazing quarterback. Aside from
- 27:49him, though, who do you think the dark horse m VP for this
- 27:52team could be this coming year? I'm gonna say James Cook. I think
- 27:56yeah, I think that Joe Brady is going to try to get us more
- 28:03into a running game. When we have a running game that's flowing, we
- 28:07Josh Allen looks better as a quarterback number one and I we just we gel
- 28:12better and everything starts to click. I think that we get the running game
- 28:15going every game early, it's going to have a huge effect on the rest
- 28:22of the team. Now, well, the rest of the NFL notice him
- 28:25the same way as they did that. You know, no one noticed him
- 28:27this year. He was just like I said, I fit or six all
- 28:30purpose yards leader in the in the NFL. And most people are like James
- 28:34Coke is trash when you talk about him, you know, externally, you
- 28:40know he's not. Yeah, he's not going to have the same name as
- 28:42some of the you know, top you know, three, four or five
- 28:45running backs in the NFL. But I do think that as a team MVP.
- 28:52He can kind of emerge, as you know, the dark horse one
- 28:56obviously behind Josh. All right, very very good again, folks. Sarah
- 29:00Larson at Sarah Underscore Larsen on the Twitter slash x Sarah, it was great
- 29:06talking to you. Sixty two straight Buffalo Bills games. Keep it going strong,
