Speaker A: Well, look who decided to show.
• 0:06
Speaker B: I hope you recorded that, because that's great, because the following news is gonna make you feel pretty shitty. Miami's dad's in the hospital on it, on his way out. He's been there for a week. Priest came in, read him his rights, and she called, so I thought maybe he passed. However, when you called, I was playing an in depth game of Brawlhalla. That was the. That was the reason for the callback. But after Brawlhalla was over, she called and I answered. Yeah. Don't you feel pretty shitty? No. You shouldn't.
• 0:44
Speaker A: I was just quoting cable guy. I wasn't really trying to make you feel bad.
• 0:48
Speaker B: No, I actually love the way it sounded. It sounded great, bro. Like, that was. That was straight movie quality right there. All right, you ready to snap in? I'm ready to snap in.
• 0:58
Speaker A: Yeah. Let's do it. One, two, three.
• 1:04
Speaker B: All right, so here's the thing. I'm running on, like, AA after double A. After double A. So there might be a point where I have to stop and be like, hey, let me change my batteries. Cause I guess I'm the only one in this house that buys batteries. I really. I didn't think I was, but I am.
• 1:24
Speaker A: I'm the only one in my house that buys batteries. So I guess we're totally in sync that way. So hold on. So you talk to her, and he's like, still with us, but not much still with us.
• 1:38
Speaker B: Not much longer. Like, she's like, no, no, because he don't. He don't like me.
• 1:43
Speaker A: Okay, but, like, do you need to, like, go be with her?
• 1:46
Speaker B: Like, no, she's at the hospital. What am I gonna do, bro? I told her to call me. I'll jump off. I'll be there. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah. But. Yeah, okay, as long as we're both on the same page. Yeah, but I'm not. You know, she was like. You know, she was pretty bummed out. I was like, what? You okay? She's like, yeah. What are you doing? I was like, I just ended my podcast to make sure you was all
• 2:10
Speaker A: right, Score some points, you know?
• 2:17
Speaker B: So, yeah, I'm good. I was like, I just want to make sure, like, I ended it.
• 2:21
Speaker A: I'll keep this waiting all night for you.
• 2:25
Speaker B: You know what I'm saying?
• 2:32
Speaker A: There have been a couple of times where you've canceled the podcast, and I've told my wife, like, I just wanted to spend time with you tonight. I told him to take a hike.
• 2:43
Speaker B: Yeah, dude, you use It. You know, otherwise, if you're like, he reschedules, then you got to defend me, man. Always reschedules. Why you guys even have a podcast? You sure you just don't want to stop it and calm down? Okay.
• 2:56
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 2:57
Speaker B: Like, yeah, calm down. All right, man. You know, I wasn't sure if you were serious about your comment in the text when I said, we don't have a topic for tonight. Last week, of course I said, we don't have a topic for night. You're like, I thought you were owning my life.
• 3:16
Speaker A: Well, I. Yeah, I. There. There might be limits to that, but no, I think. Yeah, I think it was a great idea.
• 3:26
Speaker B: I think what you're giving me is enough.
• 3:30
Speaker A: Okay, I've. I've thought a lot about it, and I'm gonna have to try really hard not to be defensive.
• 3:41
Speaker B: Well, here's the thing. I thought about that, too, because I wanted to raz you like I raz my other white friends, but I was like, he's in a vulnerable, vulnerable spot right now. That's not wise. You know, last thing I need is podcaster commit suicide after. After episode 53.
• 4:00
Speaker A: I love that you think podcaster is making it into my description. No, podcaster, I want to say failed writer.
• 4:11
Speaker B: I am thankful, because I'll probably take off. Like, they'll be like, what made him? And then I'll skyrocket, and then we'll get the success. Like, linen and all. Like, all those other dudes wasn't Lennon. But, you know, like, you'll be the Jeff Buckley of podcast.
• 4:28
Speaker A: I will say there's a podcast I listen to, and one of the two hosts recently committed suicide, and I. I don't think it's taken off. I think, if anything, it might be. Might be.
• 4:41
Speaker B: Yeah, I. I got a little more charisma than that.
• 4:45
Speaker A: That's true. That's true. You know, because it was. It was the equivalent of you killing yourself, not me. Rest in peace, Beau. He was also the lead singer of a great band called Harm's Way.
• 5:00
Speaker B: Well, I can't list your band because it's a solo man band, and it would give away your. Your pseudonym, however, for tonight, Mr. Buckley. That's who you are.
• 5:10
Speaker A: Okay, Mr. Buckley, I'm gonna call you. Oh, man. Buckley was Joe Luann's boyfriend and king of the hill. You're gonna be Dale.
• 5:26
Speaker B: Well, no, I'm calling you. I'm calling you Buckley after Jeff.
• 5:30
Speaker A: Okay, that's fair. Okay, then you can be. You could be Ryan.
• 5:34
Speaker B: Thanks, man. Because Ryan who?
• 5:37
Speaker A: Ryan Adams. I Like to. I like to pair Ryan Adams with Jeff Buckley.
• 5:42
Speaker B: Okay. All right, so here's. I. I kind of want to jump into things versus talking about the week. The week People suck. We know that. Okay. We just make the best with what. What we have. I think me and you. Honestly, I've been. I've been. I've been dipping in some Instagrams. I think me and you are soulmates because we both. We.
• 6:01
  Speaker A: I just.
• 6:02
Speaker B: You know, I mean, like, I just need someone that I can give some horrible commentary about the rest of the world to, and they're not going to look at me like, you're up. They're going to be like, I get it, bro. I get it.
• 6:13
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 6:15
Speaker B: Yeah. So I want to challenge you on something to start. All right, Now, I don't like. I don't like your. I. Guys, I'm listening.
• 6:33
Speaker A: Sorry, I was cutting out.
• 6:35
  Speaker B: Yeah.
• 6:36
  Speaker A: Reason.
• 6:36
Speaker B: You kind of are, but it's okay.
• 6:38
  Speaker A: Am I still.
• 6:40
  Speaker B: No, you're good.
• 6:41
Speaker A: Now I jump onto a phone call.
• 6:43
Speaker B: No, no, I want to hear this. I want to see your face when you say it.
• 6:49
Speaker A: Well, the reason I gotta try not to be defensive is that I ask a lot of people for advice. Like, it's. It's something I think I'm good at. When there's someone who's better at something than me, I'm pretty good at saying, like, dude, what do you do? Like, get me on the same page with you so I can, you know, get a little bit of this. That success. You there?
• 7:19
Speaker B: No, no. Here's. Here's the shitty part. Here's the shitty part about doing that. Can you hear me? Can you hear me now?
• 7:31
Speaker A: Yeah, I can hear you now.
• 7:33
Speaker B: All right, here's the shitty part about that. I heard everything you said. I still disagree with it.
• 7:40
  Speaker A: Okay. I didn't finish, though.
• 7:41
Speaker B: Oh, okay. Go ahead. I'm sorry. I thought you did.
• 7:44
Speaker A: What was the last thing you heard?
• 7:46
Speaker B: Everything. Like, I asked a lot of people about how do I get beat. Okay.
• 7:50
Speaker A: Yeah. So I'm good at asking for advice, and then usually the advice I feel. And it might not be accurate, but I feel like I've already done that and it didn't work.
• 8:06
  Speaker B: You know?
• 8:06
Speaker A: So, like, if someone tells me, like, hey, well, you need to, like, you know, journal about what you want. It's like, I've been journaling about what I want for 10 years. I don't have anything I want. You know, make a list of goals. I do that every month. Not hitting them. You know, pick a career and, like, you Know, go learn a new skill. I've done that a couple times now. Didn't work. You know, so, like, I immediately get defensive in my head and then, like, don't want to look like a bitch to the person I'm getting advice from. So I'm just acknowledging that fault right up front so that if that happens, you know, you know that I don't mean to be doing that, and I'm gonna try not to do that.
• 8:49
Speaker B: I appreciate the. The upfront forwardness, the bluntness. I love it. I love it. All right, so you've taken a lot of advice. You. You've taken. You've asked for it, you received it. You're really good at that. And, you know, with the journaling, I get it, dude. But you have allowed me, from your last text, to dictate your life for two weeks.
• 9:12
  Speaker A: Yes.
• 9:13
Speaker B: So I get to dictate your dailies, and I hope it carries over. I've really taken this serious. I've googled some shit. I listen to a lot of knowledgeable podcasts, and so I now that I kind of. That you made that comment last week when I was like, hey, we ain't got a topic. You know, like, I thought he was taking over my life. I was like, oh, shit, he was serious. So I started gearing my podcast towards, like, thought processes and so forth. All right, so here's where I'm at. What is one of your favorite movies?
• 9:53
  Speaker A: The Departed.
• 9:55
Speaker B: Why is it one of your favorite movies?
• 10:00
Speaker A: Unique plot, amazing actors, great writing.
• 10:06
Speaker B: Who's your favorite actor in that movie? In any movie? Just in general. Who's your favorite actor in general?
• 10:16
Speaker A: Jeffrey. Dean Morgan is pretty hard to beat.
• 10:21
Speaker B: She got me Googling people. Hey, there's a lot of celebrities dying. Okay, okay, stop right there. Because that is. There's a couple times you've said negan. Yeah, I love Negan. Yeah. Okay.
• 10:36
  Speaker A: I went as.
• 10:36
Speaker B: That's your avatar. That's your avatar.
• 10:39
Speaker A: Okay, okay. All right.
• 10:40
Speaker B: We don't go past that no more. Okay? This. This Neil Chambers guy or Earl Dead Flanders. You're not him, bro.
• 10:50
Speaker A: That's what I. Chamberlain, you son of a.
• 10:53
Speaker B: But that's what I keep trying. That's what I keep seeing in you, is your ceiling for yourself is so low, even your alter ego is a low hitting guy. You know what I'm saying? Like, he's. He's subpar, though, because you're reasoning for him. And you were like, he was. He's a great father. He's a great husband. He's well rounded. He goes, yes, dude.
• 11:14
Speaker A: I like it. I don't want to just be a dork who loves you.
• 11:18
Speaker B: Keep setting your ceiling so low, bro. Like, that's true. That's. That's where I want to start. Negan's a badass. He ain't afraid to talk to anybody. He ain't afraid to get anybody's face. He ain't afraid to smash someone's eyeball out. Like, the dude set us all on the. The edge of our seats when he fucking crushed Glenn's fucking head.
• 11:36
Speaker A: We were all spoiler alert.
• 11:37
Speaker B: Oh, shit, if they haven't seen it now. There's the real dorks.
• 11:41
  Speaker A: We're literally 10 years old.
• 11:43
Speaker B: Yeah, we have a bunch of fucking Nelson Chamberlain. So I can. In the audience. So here's the thing, dude. Negan's your new fucking alter ego, okay? And if you don't want to take on Negan because you feel like it's kind of corny, come up with your own badass name.
• 11:57
Speaker A: It is not corny.
• 12:00
  Speaker B: Yeah.
• 12:00
Speaker A: Coolest motherfucker who's ever lived.
• 12:03
Speaker B: Even if you do something like regal, I don't fucking know. But if you have to change it, whatever. Black Mamba made sense. Because, no, it wasn't like, he wasn't saying, I'm Kill Bill or so. And so he was like, black Mama. Nobody related until he shared the story. I don't give a shit. In fact, what's Negan's name backwards? Nagin.
• 12:24
Speaker A: Naggin. Nagin. Yeah, I guess.
• 12:27
Speaker B: Nagin. I mean, just something where, you know, this is who I am. Okay? Secondly, find a fucking something. Something tangible where you put it on, whether it's shoes, a shirt, whatever. Whatever you have to do, that's on you. Okay, maybe. Yeah, but you can't be walking around the house with that.
• 12:48
  Speaker A: The fuck I can't.
• 12:50
Speaker B: I'm Negan. For those of you who don't have visuals, he's pulling up a bat with barbed wire. All right, let me ask you this. You know what, dude? Let me buy you a ring that's made like a barbed wire ring. You only wear it when you need Negan, but you're going to wear it from sun up to at least dinner time for me for the next two weeks.
• 13:11
Speaker A: Okay, maybe. Maybe not that exact thing, but.
• 13:16
  Speaker B: No.
• 13:16
  Speaker A: Something like that.
• 13:17
Speaker B: Okay, well, I'll buy the ring. They'll ship it to you when it arrives. Your two weeks starts.
• 13:22
  Speaker A: All right.
• 13:23
Speaker B: All right. You put it on. You're. You're. You're ean.
• 13:28
  Speaker A: Okay.
• 13:29
  Speaker B: Okay.
• 13:36
Speaker A: You are so excited no, I'm not excited.
• 13:40
Speaker B: I realized I messed up, all right. When you put it on.
• 13:43
Speaker A: No, I know, I know. You just. You're losing track of where we are.
• 13:48
Speaker B: Yeah, you're Jeff Megan, all right, Mr. Buckley. Jeff. Is that Jeff Buckley? You're Jeff Buckley Negan? Yeah.
• 13:56
Speaker A: Somehow a dorkier name than Nelson Chambers.
• 13:58
Speaker B: No, that's why I said Jeff. You got to be Jeff. All right, so you're Jeff Negan. You know what I'm talking about. This is where you're at. Put it on in the morning. You're gonna do several things when that goes on. Okay? You want to be a great dad. I agree. So be the best dad you could ever be. I'm not the best of friends. I'm not. I was the one of the worst husbands I've ever known. I'm not a great colleague or acquaintance. I'm just not. I know I'm a great fucking father. And I know I'm a great superintendent. That's all I got. That's it. Everything else I know I'm subpar at, but those two roles I take with a certain pride. That's what happens when you put on the ring. You're going to be more active than the old Jeff Buckley. If Jeff Buckley got up at 8 and put his daughter down and are 6, even when she wakes up early and you put her in her seat and you give her some food, oh, man, you're. No, no, no, no. Your morning starts, bud. You're up. You're not groggy. You're not. You're not. I don't know what your norm is, but you're not doing it no more. You're now up and you're shooting for something else. Do you listen to podcasts or music throughout the week? I think you do because you sent me some clips, but I don't know if it could have been just. You must have, because you mentioned a lot of podcasts.
• 15:18
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 15:19
Speaker B: All right. We're gearing away from political, and we're going towards something like, start. I'll send you a list. I'm going to have you start with the Knowledge Project, and I'm going to have you listen to The Hyundai. Hyundai. Owner 1.
• 15:32
  Speaker A: Okay.
• 15:32
Speaker B: Okay. Like, it is something that. It's not even inspirational. He has some great principles in there. Like, the way that dude lived his life was actually like. Okay. Not only does it line up scientifically, but it lines up biblically on the mental aspect of things. Okay. Although he's not claiming to be a Christian, it's just. It's just that. Okay, so that's what you're replacing a. Everybody, welcome to Pseudonyms. You're sitting with Jeff Buckley and Ryan.
• 16:03
  Speaker A: Yeah, Ryan Adams.
• 16:05
Speaker B: Adams. Ryan Adams. Not the. Not Brian Ryan.
• 16:10
  Speaker A: Trust me.
• 16:12
Speaker B: Okay? I never heard of him. All right? Never heard of him.
• 16:15
Speaker A: You've never heard of Ryan Adams?
• 16:18
Speaker B: Wow. There's a couple people I haven't heard of. Okay. Number one texted me today and was like, hey, did you know this celebrity died? I said, hey, Never even heard of that person.
• 16:28
  Speaker A: Who was it?
• 16:30
Speaker B: Ah, somebody from the challenge.
• 16:33
  Speaker A: Challenge?
• 16:34
Speaker B: Yeah, like mtv. Host of a reality show. It's like, like, I don't know, man. Ducksworth. Duckworth. Let's just some Duckworth. Maybe. I'm guessing, bro, from memory, it's like Jeffrey Duckworth or something. I don't know. But she's like, you would write bless you. You're so left. But it was something like. Anyhow, real quick, let's rewind. Fuck this week was not on the recording when I was ranting. It was battery. It was looking for batteries during fuck this week. Okay, but I say fuck this week. It was a lot, dude. Like, it was a lot. Like people are idiots. They want to go to bathroom every, every hour. Like they're a 60 year old man. While I, I have to escort them every time and I have to have everybody come. So I'm kind of like, dude, we go every two hours, guys. Like, this is fucking prison. I'm sorry, but we can't, we can't have everybody stop working every hour to go take a fucking bathroom break. And then, man, I try to play a joke on Miami and it just backfired. It's probably horrible timing, you know, with your pops, her pops and stuff. But I, you know, like. So Saturday I. Friday, it goes as planned. I got, I got number four. Saturday, I had promised El Padre that I was gonna go to his house and just like smoke some cigars, kick back and talk. And I didn't know because it wasn't shared with me. But Miami's father took a turn for the worse. And so she's like really upset. And me and Miami had planned to hang out at 10am and 11am but she was getting her tires done at Discount Tire. Cause she had a flat. So she's at Discount Tire for like hours. So I'm like, okay. She text me and I told her I'm going to El Padres house. Good friend. Also client. Like, I want to know what's going on my boy's life at around 5 o', clock, 4 or 5 o'. Clock. I told her 4 or 5 o'. Clock. She text me, like, at 3, like, on my way home. I'm like, okay. So then on the way to El Padres house, I'm like, on my way to El Padres, you know, I called her, I was like, hey, babe, how's everything going? Oh, yeah, we talked for a little bit. How's dad? Okay, cool. She was, oh, so what are you doing? I said, I'm on my way to Sue's, to El Padres. And she's like, all of a sudden it was just tears. And I'm like, but she doesn't say, like, I really, like, like, my dad took a turn for the worst. He's been in this one certain state for like a week and a half, two weeks. So I'm kind of like, okay, you know, she's like, oh, you know, he's just coming, but he's talking to people this and that. And she doesn't say, like, all of a sudden, like, he ain't talking no more. He's just laying there, he ain't even drinking. She don't say none of that. So I'm like, okay, I don't know that she cries out. So I, I, I go to a Padres, we hang out. I'm like, dude, I already told you this, what I'm doing. Like, you know, so then come home, whatever. Fast forward. This is the state pops is in until about Tuesday. That's, that's that Saturday we're on Tuesday. He's just getting worse. So then in his good state, there was Bible study, but she didn't go to Bible study because her dad was like, in, in the hospital. Okay, I understood. Got it. Tuesday comes around. She's like, hey, babe. She sends a text, I'm on my way to the salon to get my hair done. I'm like, salon? That's like 45 minutes away by your friend. That's like a two. Oh, yeah, the coloring. But she goes on vacation for two weeks. I gotta get it done now. I'm like, oh, okay, but like, you can't go to Bible study. Like, your dad's in a worse condition than when he was. When you denied Bible study. All right, okay. And, and so I was like, hey, a stretch marks. Text her and be like, hey, we really hope to see you at Bible study. So he's like, he's in the group. So he texted like, hey, hope to see you at Bible study tomorrow night. She's like, oh, well, here's the situation. My dad is in hospital. So I was like, give me your fucking phone. I bet. But I said, but Bible studies closer to the salon, so you could be like, you could be closer to your dad and be in the Word, you know? And she was like. She starts texting my phone. Oh, my gosh. Stretch mark saying this. Yeah. So I was like, oh, my gosh. So I sent her a picture of us. Hey, we just playing with you. We try to mess with you. Hahaha. And nah, man. She was like, oh, my gosh. She didn't answer my calls. She didn't respond to my text. Then all of a sudden, like, eight and I. Eight at night. I called her when I was on the way somewhere, forget where it was. And she was like, you hurt me so bad. And then just cried. I apologize about 22 times. She kept going. I was like, dude, I was just trying to fuck with you, give you a hard time. Oh, my God, dude, it was so ridiculous. I ain't gonna lie. I was just sitting there, like, while she was sobbing, I was like, I got impractical jokers on pause for this. It was a joke. But yeah, it was like a direct joke of like, hey, your priorities are kind of up. You can't go to Bible study. That's 10 minutes from your dad's hospital. But you go to a. A hair salon for two, three hours, you're committed. There ain't no getting up. Hey, Pops passed away. Can we just. Can we. Can we accelerate it? Can we accelerate? Can like. You know what I mean? Like, what are you supposed to do? Take the foil out. I gotta go. Ain't gonna happen.
• 22:09
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 22:09
Speaker B: Bible said you'd be like, hey, y', all pray for me. I gotta bounce. Got you, girl. You know, anyhow, it was just a thing. And so it was in the week just seemed long. And it seemed like everybody was in the same mood. I am. So we. We all just kind of kept going at each other. Yeah. So back to this lecture. Back to the lecture at hand for you, bro. I've really been putting thought into this. And one of those things were, you need a new alter ego, which we got now. Okay, Swap out movie time and movie time, political podcast time. And not that there's anything wrong with that. I know that's an interest of yours. That's not where we're at right now. You gave me two weeks. I'm going to dictate it as best I can with the best of love. And then, so then, because I wasn't ready last week, I said, hey, what I think we should do is pop this into, like, Chat GBT or Claude and kind of give the scenario and then see what they say. But, like, I don't want to do that live because it's a lot of did air time, so I'm going to do it and not read it. And so that's what I did. I even. I even, like, told Chat Claude, like, hey, I'm not supposed to see this until we're live. And so then I kind of perused some of the areas to see if there was something I need, like, just kind of, like, the subtitles and then dive into it. But I care about you, so I get as defensive as you want. I think. From what. When we talk, you limit your ceiling so low. Like, I think, you know, you're an exceptional person and maybe this is some imposter syndrome, because I've realized I have imposter syndrome, and I've had it my whole life. I just didn't realize until we did the podcast that I had it because I was like, oh, I only suffer from this. There are times, like, when I was like, dude, like, can't wait to VP of construction somewhere. And I'm like, but what are you gonna do in that role? Like. Like, what do you, like, king? Like, are you. Are you capable of that? And then it was just like, I even wrote my pen pal. I kind of like putting this to paper. Like, I always have that, but it's not there for long because I look at the thing that. The things the Lord allowed me to go through, and I'm like, I got this. If I got that and that and that. I remember feeling fear in certain stages of my life, but I was like, there. There ain't no other way but forward. You know what I mean? I. I don't. I don't know where you're at with that, but from. From when we talk, I sense that you are, like. I think, you know, you're. You're exceptional mentally. The way you can articulate, the way that you can, like, kind of. There's not a lot of people that can camouflage.
• 25:12
  Speaker A: Or.
• 25:14
Speaker B: Someone used to call me. They'd say, I'm looking for a man that's a chameleon. There's not a lot of people that can engage with different cultures and genres or societies and be successful. You can. But I don't think you. You think you're that exceptional. I think you think, like. I think your way of thinking sets yourself up for the. The shortcomings. I don't Call them failures. I just think there's some shortcomings to. To how you think.
• 25:51
Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. I've been feeling that a lot lately because I really consider myself like a positive person. But it's. It's hard not to talk about circumstances right now without acknowledging, like, yep, shit's not really working out, you know, so it's like.
• 26:11
  Speaker B: Yeah,
• 26:14
Speaker A: I guess it's like more pessimist than realist, but it's really just like speaking from experience. I don't think that, like, the future will not work out for me, you know? I know I can still do things.
• 26:34
Speaker B: Yes. But where you're. Where you're looking at doing things is right here in this zone. Like, it's. I don't know if you saw it, because the camera. It's right here in this zone. Like, you're. You're. Tell me. Gosh, I want to. I want to tell you what I'm thinking, just so you know that I kind of feel you. But I wanted. I want you to tell me so that I can say. I can confirm it. But then it kind of looks like a fucking fortune teller where they're just kind of guessing shit like, oh, 5050, someone, you know, died. No, I don't want to do that. I think you view future trips, vacations, whatever you want to call them, family outings with your family.
• 27:16
  Speaker A: Your.
• 27:17
Speaker B: Your. Your intermediate family. Not your mom, your dad, and your sibling, your sister, but like, you, your daughter, your wife, to, like, Disneyland or somewhere. I'd say right now it's probably Disneyland the next five years. If you're like, hey, I'm gonna take a trip with my family. Like, you're not shooting for that trip through Europe on the cruise with your wife. You're shooting for a cool hotel at Disneyland for maybe a night or two with your daughter and your wife. I feel like that's how you. When you're shooting for a vacation, that's what you're shooting for. I'm telling you, you can settle for that. You're shooting for the fucking. The. The trip to Europe and. Not again. Your mom and dad aren't with you. There's no. You're covering your family to go. This ain't like some trip where your whole family's in on it and everybody's kind of pitching in and you guys can. Made it happen. No, this is because I know you've done those Alaska trips with your. With your family. I know they like them. This is you, your wife, your child. You're planning the trip. This is where you're going. I think your. Your ceiling is Disneyland. Where I want your ceiling to be is whatever you can. A weekend in. I don't know. That.
• 28:35
  Speaker A: That.
• 28:35
Speaker B: That place that has the clear water and huts on the water, like, that's. That's mine. No, man, it's like they have like, little. Little hotels, but they're like, they look
• 28:48
Speaker A: like in the Bahamas or something.
• 28:51
Speaker B: Yeah, but there's. There's a special place that it. Like, a lot of people go. I don't know what it's called, but the water's clear. You walk out on a bridge to your hotel room. You got a spa out there. It's like all on the water. Like, it's. It's pretty cool. Anyhow, my point exactly. You don't even know of the place to set your ceiling. You're like, wait, what?
• 29:12
Speaker A: I want to go to Iceland or Japan.
• 29:16
Speaker B: That's my other ceiling. Japan. Number four has been talking about wanting to see Japan. I want to make that happen. Number three has been talking about wanting to go to Europe or Paris. I want to make that happen. That's what I'm shooting for. That is my new vacation goal. Disneyland was something I can do when I was unemployed or. Or whatever is below blue collar. I was able to do that as a poor dude. Disney World was a new experience for the whole family. So that was great. Now conquered that we're going somewhere else. We're going worldwide, bitches. Like, I'm actually thinking about filling out a passport application.
• 29:59
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 30:01
Speaker B: This is where I want you. All right. But I don't want you just there with vacation. I want you there as your daily goals. I want you there is like, what you're gonna do for work. I want. And it's okay to fail over and over and over. This was number four. Joined a flag football league. And it's co ed. She's the only girl on an all guy team. She's never played football. She's out there first practice, throwing with two hands like a fucking retard. This is football. She doesn't know what a route is. She doesn't know how to hold the ball. She's holding the ball like it's some bread. She got it out with one hand, just like taunting it to everybody. And I was like, nah. So every day after school, I was like, boom. Give me. Give me like an hour. Let's do it. Run your route. You got to know your routes. Let's go. Boom. All right. This is how you do it. This is how you catch this is how you throw. Stop holding it like that. I didn't want to tell her. I'm so proud that you can throw like that. I'm so proud you could run these routes. I'm so proud you didn't give up on me. Because let me tell you from life, I have failed over and over and over. I have failed in a marriage. I failed in a, like a close marriage to my first daughter's mom when I was young. I failed at being a father, failed at being a, like, as a husband. I failed as being a husband. I failed so many times. And I was like. But I never gave up. And I know so many people in my life that live that same story. All of them have faced trials. Maybe their trials, when I look at them aren't hard, but I guarantee you in the midst of it, it was just as hard as my hardest trial. Their hardest trial was. Was just as hard as my hardest trial to them with just different circumstances and they never gave up. And I told her, I said, michael Jordan has failed so many times, but that's what makes him so great. And I was like, kobe Bryant always looked for ways to improve. Everything he watched was to improve. If he watched Animal Planet and he saw Cheetah, he was like, holy crap, that dude's run. And oh my God. And then he. But the thing he noticed was, dude, his tail actually balances them out. So he was like, hey, on the court, what, what would be my tail? Shoot, maybe if I kicked my leg out, it would help me like, like help me steady myself to get a better look for a longer time. It was the little things. And so like, honestly, like I called my boss tonight and I was like, hey, look, like I've been looking at, I've been evaluating how I run job sites and I've been running it as like a retail superintendent. My mannerisms are high end, but some of my how I run a job has been more retail. I get away with some of this that building an old Navy. I get away with this building up a restaurant. I can't get away with this building stuff for some of these high end clients. I can't get away with building it for like the Department of Defense. Can't get away with building it like that for Lockheed Martin or something like that. I can't. But my standard has been as far as running the site, you still get the same a great product. But as far as me keeping schedule or going ahead of it, I'm. I'm letting it get close because I feel like I Operate better under pressure. Let me show you what I could do. Bam, bam, bam, bam. There's more action. It's more consistent. Well, now I'm like. So I called him, I said, I need to improve in that area and I will. I just want you to know that he was like, okay, I appreciate that. Like, thanks for the call. So that's kind of where I'm at. I think you, you, you have a thing. So this is what I, I put in. And we're gonna read what Claude gave me. Hey, did you do anything for this, by the way?
• 33:57
  Speaker A: I, I didn't know what to do.
• 33:59
Speaker B: You all right? Hey, that's totally cool. I was just curious. I just wanted to give you some, some mic time.
• 34:05
Speaker A: I just thought about all the ways I was gonna defend myself.
• 34:11
Speaker B: You could correct me if I'm wrong. This is what I told Claude. I'm gonna be honest. I said, please create a plan for a friend who is feeling defeated. He's. He's unemployed and living with his parents. I want to direct his life for the next two weeks. He has a lot of reasons why he can't find work, partly because a lot of companies are switching to AI for his position. I'm trying to tell him to not limit himself and shoot higher. I'm not sure of the psychology of writing down your goals, but we're going to try it. The kickoff starts live on our podcast. I'm writing this now, but I won't read your response until we're live. Could you help me inspire him to achieve more? Please give me a blueprint for getting his life in order in a two week time span.
• 35:05
  Speaker A: All right.
• 35:07
Speaker B: I don't know if it says anything about podcasts, but as I told you, I was listening to podcast geared towards after your text. Like, okay, how can, how can I utilize some of this? I wouldn't have realized I was failing as a superintendent in certain areas unless I didn't listen to the podcast Elevate Construction. Another podcast I was listening to on the Knowledge project was one from the Roblox creator and do I like his product? No, I don't. However, he did say some things. He says, you stop and it's obvious, but like you, it wasn't like you stop learning when you stop reading books. But he said if. Oh, that's what he said. He said if he was. I did this thing and from doing it, it helped me generate 1200 more dollars a month for my income. He says, I read a book a week. I read a book a week. That would Help like that would give me some knowledge in some type of industry or in some type of career or in some type of mental health. I read a book a week and from it, like it was able to, you know, because you get information from this book and that book and all of a sudden you're like, fuck, this should be able to work, or you get better customer service or whatever it is, but you're growing in a positive way. So that's a challenge. I'm going to take up as well. I don't know what, what size books he was reading, but I'm gonna dive in. All right, so this is what Claude says to me. Love this. What you're doing for your friend matters more than you probably realize. The fact that you're building him a structure instead of just telling him, cheer up, is exactly the right instinct. Let me give you two things. A quick frame. A quick frame. So plan actually lands and then the 14 day blueprint itself. First set the right expectation. Say this on the air, check. Two weeks won't hand him a job offer. You both going. If you both go in expecting that day 10 with no callbacks will feel, feel like proof. He was right to feel defeated. So the real goal of these two weeks isn't a job momentum in a repeatable system. Momentum and a repeatable system. Everything that I'm sharing with you that I'm like, hey, try this. I'm only asking you to try it. Except for like, and I'll tell you when I don't. Writing the goals down. I've written it in a journal, but I don't have like a, like we talked about last week. Here's the goal. What's the steps? I don't have none of that. But everything else as far as, like, fill your empty time with either a masterclass class, a podcast that's going to give you insight on like, how to improve some type of aspect of your work or career or thinking, or a podcast directly related to your career, your field of career. I don't listen to a lot of music in my, in my drive time. I don't listen to a lot of music in like my cook time or like I'll put in headphones and I'm listening to podcasts like, okay. Oh, okay. You know, and yeah, I'll have conversations, people and not hear what they're saying. I just hit back, back 30, 15 seconds. About six times. I go back to okay, I remember this part. If I like it, I'm listening to it two or three times. I listen to the same podcast three times today because it has some really important information that I was like, I want this to really, really sink in. Alright, so by day 14, he'll have a rhythm, a rebuilt story, applications in motion, and proof that his effort produces results. That's the actual win. The job comes from repeating the system, not from getting lucky in a fortnight. Here's the thing.
• 39:18
Speaker A: Nice use of Fortnite.
• 39:20
Speaker B: You like that? Here's the thing. I saw a study, a guy talking about a study. He said if you repeat something emotion over and over and over, there is zero chances that you won't accomplish. Might not be like right away, but there are zero chances that you won't accomplish it. It's just, it's. It's numbers. And so he's saying if you want to do X, Y and Z, just keep repeating that eventually you're, you're it. The, the percentage of you not accomplishing it goes lower and lower. I think there's some truth in that.
• 40:06
Speaker A: Is gets you closer to a yes.
• 40:09
Speaker B: Yeah, well, not even that, but just some of these habits that you're going to want to kind of implement. And I think for you it's not really habits, it's more of a mental setback for you. I. That's what I honestly think. I don't know. I could be talking out of my ass. But I like, I think a lot of it's mental for you.
• 40:28
  Speaker A: Yes.
• 40:31
Speaker B: A kickoff line you could read live. Hell yeah. We're not fixing your whole life in two weeks. We're proving one thing, that when you actually run a system, stuff moves. That's it. Two weeks and you'll never again believe the story that nothing you do matters. Write down your goals. Your instinct is backed by real research. You said you weren't sure about the psychology. You're on to something real. Oh, you okay. You said you weren't sure about the psychology. You're on to something real. A well known study by Gail Matthews, Dominican University found that people who wrote their goals down and shared them with a friend and sent weekly progress updates. I'm not gonna lie, that's actually something that I wanted to implement. We're either texting every, every day or at the end of the night you text me like a briefing of your day, hey, this is what I was able to do today. This is what my day looked like. It's just accountability. If you didn't do shit, I don't know what to do. Like if you're like, hey, I didn't do much today, I'll probably do like I do with everybody else who doesn't apply themselves. I'll probably just be like a no worries, ain't no worries. And then eventually I'll just stop responding. But I wanted to challenge you that if you don't do this for two weeks straight, podcast is over.
• 42:03
  Speaker A: All right?
• 42:05
Speaker B: Yeah. I want you. You better not end this podcast, bro. You. I feel like you just got a win. Win. You're like, yeah, this shit's been eating up my Thursdays. Wait till I tell the wife I quit the podcast for her.
• 42:18
Speaker A: If you don't do this for two weeks, your Thursday evenings are going to be wide open, mister.
• 42:25
Speaker B: Yeah, I'll just let the wife know. I quit the podcast because it took up too much of my time with you.
• 42:36
Speaker A: And you know what's even crazier? As I quit the podcast, he told me he was gonna take credit for it. Isn't that nuts, babe?
• 42:47
Speaker B: Yeah. And then you're gonna see a letter in the mail addressed to your wife, and it's not going to be a nice writing. I don't want you to know it's me. You're going to check all her mail, and it's going to say, our podcast is pseudonyms. Check out episodes 21, 22. If you need the actual recordings. I got them all on my Google Drive.
• 43:14
Speaker A: That is actually way worse.
• 43:17
Speaker B: Yeah. Let me know when this is over. I'll show you. I'll show you a good time. Let me know. Let me know if you really want to get back at him.
• 43:29
Speaker A: Let me know when this whole Buckley thing is played out.
• 43:32
Speaker B: Yeah. No, don't get me wrong. I don't want a chick with a kid. I'm going to be like, hey, but if you really want to get at him, you know.
• 43:40
Speaker A: Well, I got good news for you, dude. She barely has one. You've got a career woman on your hands.
• 43:49
Speaker B: Hey, dude, look, I'm not gonna lie. I don't want. Oh, so you'd keep the kid?
• 43:57
Speaker A: I mean, at this point, I'm like.
• 44:00
Speaker B: I'm kind of hoping you don't stick. I'm kind of hoping you don't stick to this. Two weeks. I feel like. I feel like me and Mrs. Buckley would have a little. You know what I mean? Like, I think we make a cute little couple.
• 44:13
Speaker A: I think. I think for three weeks, you're gonna be a very happy man.
• 44:18
Speaker B: That's cool. Hey, are you opposed to having, like, your daughter having, like, a half sister
• 44:26
  Speaker A: or four?
• 44:29
Speaker B: No, no, no, no. We have a whole new Kid. All right, all right.
• 44:36
Speaker A: Well, if you talk more when I couldn't, I'm really.
• 44:40
Speaker B: You want two more?
• 44:42
Speaker A: I would like three or four if possible. But she.
• 44:47
Speaker B: Hear me out, hear me out. All that changes after this. She'll, she'll be okay. She has, you have to understand from her view, there's a lot she's, she's living at her in laws house. There's a lot of uncertainty as far as, like, if you ask me that
• 45:06
Speaker A: though, it's, it's physical. She physically doesn't want to do it more than one more time.
• 45:12
Speaker B: No, no, no. I, I, I think that's part of this as well. I, I'm not going to lie. I think that's part of this as well. Like, I was talking to stretch marks and I'm like, dude, I'm excited about tonight. And he's like, why, what's tonight? I said we're going to, he, he, he lets me kind of dictate his life for two weeks. Like I just, I'm, I'm excited. And I was like late listening to the progression of our openings. Like it's going further down. As far as like his enthusiasm for life. He's still funny and punchy, but his enthusiasm for life is a little different. It's a little more heavier right now. You feel me? Yeah, I think, but I, but that is how you're living every day around your family. They get to see it all the time. I get to see it for two, three hours a week. They see it all the time. And yeah, like, like I, I don't think you're walking around there really feeling good about yourself. And they sense it for sure.
• 46:15
  Speaker A: Probably.
• 46:15
Speaker B: Doesn't mean you're not funny, doesn't mean you're not punchy, doesn't mean you're not witty or smart. I just think your whole, you know, conductivity, as far as, like what you're, what you're giving out, your aura, whatever you want to call it, your elect. What is it that your body. Our bodies are what elect electromagnetic fields or something like that.
• 46:36
  Speaker A: Magnetism?
• 46:38
Speaker B: No, it's something, yeah, but it's a, it's something with electrical. Yes. I think your whole electromagnetism is. Don't try and make me say that again. But it's all messed up.
• 46:48
  Speaker A: Okay.
• 46:50
Speaker B: Yeah, that's just what I feel. It's like when I walk in the house and I'm pissed off at, at Miami about something. But maybe she don't know I am, but she, you know what I mean? She could sense it. I've had that with subcontractors. When I don't like them and I'm trying to be nice, they still sense it. Because I'm not like, hey, how's life? I'm kind of just quiet. I'm more of like, What is it when you're like, nice but you're not who you like, uncordial? They ask a question, I answer it. I'll maybe ask a question back so I could feel like we're having a conversation. But then it's the first moment I'm out, I'm out.
• 47:27
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 47:27
Speaker B: You know, I'm going back to doing what I want to do. I know I could give that off. It's, it's, it's, it's in the whole. Even though I'm not saying nothing, I'm trying to act as normal as possible, it comes off.
• 47:38
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 47:41
Speaker B: All right, let's get back. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Sorry. Gail Matthews at Dominican University found that people who wrote their goals down and shared them with a friend and sent weekly progress updates were substantially more likely to achieve them to than people who just thought about their goals. There's also strong research on implementation intentions, planning goals as specific if then plausible statements. I added the word plausible because I know an if then statements plausible if. It's 9am I love when I learned that actual word. Teaching Mormonism, I was like, it made me feel so smart, dude. Like, and tonight was the first night I was ever convicted that knowledge puffs up. Oh. Because I've always like, sought knowledge.
• 48:26
  Speaker A: You didn't before?
• 48:29
Speaker B: No, but like, I worshiped the knowledge of Christ of like being knowledgeable about the Bible and the word, word of God over, like actually worshiping Christ. And I never, although I read that verse many a times, I always kind of viewed myself as like, that's not talking about me. And then tonight it was like, use the tool.
• 48:50
Speaker A: Well, yeah, power won't be.
• 48:56
Speaker B: Yeah. You know what I mean? But yes, and then I like, see, I heard it tonight and I was like, oh, dude, that's me all day. Okay, so if it's 9am on a weekday, then I apply three rolls. That's kind of their example. Planning goals as specific if, if then statements roughly doubles follow through compared to vague intentions. Okay, so almost doubles it. Translation, your podcast is not a gimmick. Public commitment plus the friend holding him accountable plus weekly check ins is basically the exact recipe the research points to. You accidentally built the ideal accountability structure. I didn't accidentally.
• 49:44
Speaker A: I mean, I Was gonna say this was pretty intentional.
• 49:49
Speaker B: The AI thing. Reframe it before it becomes his identity. Right now, companies are switching to AI. They put that in quotes. Right now, our quote, companies are switching to AI, unquote. Is. Is functioning as a reason for why he can't flip it live. The truth is his experience is an asset, not a liability. Everything. Everything a great CSR does. De escalation, empathy, clear communication, working under pressure, learning, CRM tools, fast transfers directly into roles that pay more and are harder to autonomate. Customer success, account management, sales, development, onboarding, imp onboarding, slash implementation specialist, technical support, operations coordinator, community management. And AI is creating jobs. He's weirdly qualified for AI support. QA conversation slash, chatbot design, Human in the loop review. AI trainer roles. AI trainer roles. I. There are. I've heard of those roles. Companies deploying AI support desperately. I'm sorry. Companies deploying AI support desperately need people who deeply understand customer interactions to supervise and improve the bots. He's not being replaced by AI. He's one of the few people who can manage it. His new one liner. I'm a customer expert who can work alongside AI, not. Not compete with it. That's the resume. One liner.
• 51:29
Speaker A: Definitely like that. Because my strong suit in tech support was always that I was the best with the customers.
• 51:39
Speaker B: Yeah, Honestly, dude, that's what I was trying to tell you when you were like, you know, the A, they're being replaced by A. I'm like, well, what's A above that, dude? Like, that's what you got to shoot for. You got to overcome the obstacle of where you were. Well, I shoot for the next thing over it.
• 51:52
Speaker A: I mistakenly kind of took that as like, learn how to code AI And I was like, well, first of all, zero passion to do that. Second, somebody.
• 52:05
Speaker B: Somebody has to monitor. Somebody has to monitor that.
• 52:09
Speaker A: That's an angle I've never once considered.
• 52:12
Speaker B: All right. This is also the answer to the shoot high. Don't limit yourself. Energy you want. His last job was likely a floor, not a ceiling. The north.
• 52:23
Speaker A: Every job I've ever had has been a floor.
• 52:26
Speaker B: Yeah, but I feel like that's your ceiling.
• 52:28
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 52:29
Speaker B: You've been shot down twice. Once or twice for a manager position or an upper man or a supervisor position that you knew you were qualified for. However, I think those two shot down, like, those two shootings. I guess the right way to say it. I think those really hit you in a certain way where you're like, fuck, like, what am I? Maybe I just don't have that one piece that they're looking for, I think you have it. I think you, I think you need to hone it in. I'm very different from my, my, my colleagues. I'm very forward, but I'm very loving. Like, I just say like, fuck you in such a fun way. You know what I mean? Like, hey, here's a story. I don't like the customer I'm working for right now. They never answer my calls. This is part of my this week. They never answer my calls. They'll answer one of eight. It took me five hours to get a permit that takes five minutes because they didn't want to answer the calls. They didn't know who was going to do it. They didn't know how to get the system in test. I'm like, dude, I've never had to put a fire system in test that took longer than the 32nd phone call of the number on the box. So I was kind of annoyed I had to send my welder home. How to pay them for an extra day. That's a change order. Like that stuff that comes out of my bonuses, that stuff that comes out of the company's profit. So the client took the camera in the morning. I'm supposed to document everything in this, this bay, but I can only do it with a certain camera, their camera. So they're like, hey, we're going to take it from last night or from yesterday. We're going to download all the files, we'll bring them back. Cool, sounds great. Take my pictures. Near the end of the day, I gotta upload them to my system, then hand them the camera. They upload it, they bring it back. They never brought the camera back. And we're doing the doors for some, like, pretty serious doors. So she comes and she's like, hey, I need to get the camera. I said, you never brought it back yesterday. She's like, oh my gosh, I so forgot. Oh, I said, well, I just want, you know, like your boss wanted me to take specific pictures of this door install of both of them. And I didn't get those pictures. So I'm only telling you so that you can get ahead of it and maybe cut them off at the pass. And she's like, oh my gosh. Like, they have me running around everywhere, him and his, his buddy that just got back. They. All they do is they talk about they were both Air Force and all they do is talk about the good old days. They're both waiting for retirement. And she's like, I, you know, some days I go home wanting to quit, and I cried. I was like, you know what, though? Thank you. Thank you for fixing the camera because I didn't know what was wrong with it. She's like, what are you talking about? Was it broken? Did I fix it? I was like, yeah, like, that's. That's when you took it. I told you I couldn't. I couldn't take pictures, and you said you would look at it. So I'm. Thank you for bringing it back fixed. And she's like, what? I was like, we don't have to tell anybody it happened.
• 55:27
Speaker A: Are you still not picking up on what I'm saying?
• 55:30
Speaker B: Yeah. I was like, we don't have to tell anybody that this happened unless they ask for the pictures. And when they ask for the pictures, I will let them know that the camera malfunctioned and you fixed it for me. And I dockey to documented the best I could. The next day. She's like, thank you so much. I got her now my pocket for favors, you know, I'm saying, like, I have colleagues that would have went straight to the. Hey, we ain't gonna say nothing. Don't worry about it. No, no, no. I'll let you know what I'm saving you from.
• 56:03
  Speaker A: Mm.
• 56:04
Speaker B: You didn't do it. I got to do my job. But you know what? I got you.
• 56:11
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 56:12
Speaker B: Don't fuck up again, though. That's what I'm saying. Don't fuck up again, though. I gotcha. So she's like, oh, my gosh, thank you so much. But, like, and the other guy that won't answer my calls, he was like, hey, just want to pod you. I was like, you know what? I wrote this mean ass text. I know that you're on another job. You have to be there the whole time because it's a classified area. I get that. But I don't understand why I found out through my team and you didn't tell me when I've been calling you. And not that it matters, because even before you were in that bay, you didn't answer my calls anyways. You know what I mean? Like, I had all that written. I was so pissed off because I already called his boss and was like, hey, I know you're out of the state, but, like, because he's doing something else, they flew him out of state. And I'm like, no one's answering my calls, and I got to put the system in in test. I need a hot work permit. Like, I don't. I don't. I don't know where. Where to go, what to do. He was like, really? I was like, yeah, this is pretty common here. And he was like, I will have a talk with my team, you know? And I was like, okay. So, dude, I feel like that happened. The point is. I forgot the point, but however, the point is, is you. You have the ability to talk to so many different people. I think you doubt how they take you, but I think you need to switch up. Like, when I go to work, everything is proper. It's not how I want to dress always, but it is how I'm dressing. It's gonna look good. I clean my shoes every day after work. My boots come home. I got drywall dust all over them. I got. I take my thing, I polish them, put my mink oil, and buff them out. Why? Because the next day I go in, it's like, that boxer, he would get his. Roberto Durant, he would get his ass kicked. But his coach was like, hey. He'd be in the corner brushing his hair, and he's like, what the fuck are you doing? He's like, you're going to go out of this corner. Every time you go out of this corner, you're going to look like you just stepped in the ring. Your hair is going to be brushed. He's going to come out looking excited, and he's going to see you. He's gonna be like, dude, this dude is still fresh. That's how I want. We're gonna operate. Operate.
• 58:38
Speaker A: I. I am getting a note in my ear from one of our producers, a quick fact check. I've never been up for a manager role for anything. Go ahead, move on.
• 58:50
Speaker B: No. Okay, so let me tell you. Let me tell you the two instances I'm. I'm referring to you guys getting. Picking this up. Okay. Yeah, they got it. All right. So they can hear me. One. You were. You went in to ask someone for. Like, you thought you had the position, and they were like, maybe you didn't talk about it, but you inquired about it in some way. And they were like, oh, yeah, we're bringing in someone totally else.
• 59:15
Speaker A: Oh, right, right, right. Yeah, I remember that one.
• 59:20
Speaker B: And then I want to say someone was leaving and you were trying to fill that position.
• 59:25
Speaker A: That was the same one.
• 59:27
Speaker B: Okay, all right. So I said one or two. I got it right with the one. I knew it was the least.
• 59:32
Speaker A: I wasn't up for it, though. I went in to ask.
• 59:35
Speaker B: No, but you. You went and asked, and it was kind of like you weren't even a consideration. I think that's the part.
• 59:40
Speaker A: Because I had been there like a month.
• 59:44
Speaker B: Yeah, but you were, you were qualified for it.
• 59:48
  Speaker A: Not really.
• 59:49
  Speaker B: Let's play the.
• 59:50
Speaker A: I mean, I think, I think. Let me, let me. Correct.
• 59:54
Speaker B: I'm trying to talk to the producer. Can you guys pull that footage from that?
• 1:00:01
Speaker A: I think I could have done it and I could have done a really good job at it, as most, most things I would try. I think I could do really well at it. Qualified is a different thing. Qualified means I've got some sort of experience doing this that they're gonna want to see.
• 1:00:20
  Speaker B: Fucking semantics.
• 1:00:22
Speaker A: Look, no, no, but, but I know. I do think that's important because when I say I'm not qualified, it's like, yes, by definition, I'm not qualified for shit. I've never had anything above an entry level job. So, no, I am not qualified on a resume for anything I want to do. That's. That's true. I think I could do it though.
• 1:00:43
Speaker B: All right, so I'm going to owe some stuff to you as you're giving me dailies. You're committing to the two weeks you give me your. I want you to send me your resume. I'm going to work with it and reword it. I'm send it back. Okay. All right. The North Star is the role that pays more and uses more of him. The North Star, okay, whatever that means. The daily actions. Stay small. Big vision, tiny steps. Here's the 14 day blueprint. It lays out structure is dignity. When you're unemployed at your parents place, days blur and that blur is the depression. So every single day has the same non negotiable spine. Wait by a set time, get dressed like he has somewhere to be and do two work blocks. 90 minutes. That alone changes how he feels by day three. Okay. Week one, foundation and clarity. Day one, podcast kickoff. Plant the fucking flag. Write it down. Live one big goal and give some examples. Land customer success. Roll job. Paying dollar amount by certain date. So he has one big goal and three two week goals. One big goal and three two week goals. This is new to me. I'm reading it. Remember I said I'm gonna ask Cloud, but I don't want to read it till we're live.
• 1:02:25
  Speaker A: I'm tracking.
• 1:02:25
Speaker B: Set the. Yep. Set the daily spine. Wait time, get dressed. Rule two, work blocks. He commits on air. So what you're committed to is day one, you have a wake by a set time. This is the 32 week goal. Right. I'm assuming you wake by a set time, you get dressed like you have somewhere to fucking go and you do two 90 minute work blocks. We don't know what those work blocks are. Maybe that's you listening to an educational podcast, watching the master class program that I offered you or something like that. There's a ton of good shit on there, dude. I consider myself a pretty good dude on customer service and doing my projects. This shit has given me something, even if it's just a. I listen to Coach K's teaching, and now when I start a project, I sit all my subs down on their first day there and I say, hey, we will show respect to one another. We will care about this project. We're going to turn over quality. If you don't clean up by the end of the day, I will back charge you for me cleaning up for you. We keep a clean place. We're all grown people. We're going to meet daily. I didn't do none of that before. Now I'm like, hey, it's just the small stuff. Reading people's body language. Oh, shit. There's a lot more connection when your client goes like this. And within five seconds, you go like this. When they put their hands on their hips as you talk, you slowly put your hands on your hips. There's a comfortability that takes place there. I don't know. I did not know that. When you talk to someone when your hands are under the table, you. You seem like you're not certain. When you put your arms on the table, open your shoulders, put your elbows out a little bit, maybe you hold hands. Whatever it is, you're just leaning up on the table, yellow smile. It brings comfort. They're not on guard. There's these things. It's like, okay, not everything is a damn, like, changed my whole life. But there's little things you could pick up. Oh, I do do that. I do put my hands on the table.
• 1:04:34
  Speaker A: Know.
• 1:04:34
Speaker B: I shake my fucking leg a lot. So when I'm in a meeting, that is something I'm very cautious of.
• 1:04:40
  Speaker A: Mm.
• 1:04:42
Speaker B: Relax, you know, sit on the edge of your chair. Get ready to get ready to move. If they say, hey, you know what I want them to know, I stay ready. You know what I mean?
• 1:04:54
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 1:04:54
Speaker B: I never just get comfortable. When I do get. I know where to sit at the fucking. The circle of the table. I know what each position at the table means. You want to sit the head, you want to sit in the middle. Sit next to the right of the person in charge or the left of the person in charge. A lot of different psychology in that it's like I didn't know none of that, dude. Yeah, it's pretty. Yeah, it's. It's good. Dude, this is. But don't get me wrong. I want to watch Cops all day long. I force myself to do this shit because I know there's. I'm committed to a time frame after I meet that time. Watch some cops, watch some impractical jokers. Watch whatever you want. Go find a. See if there's a new movie out. Watch Minions fucking Five or whatever. Toy Story 5. What a lame ass movie. Toy Story 5, dude, it couldn't keep my attention for like the first 10 minutes. I was like, this sucks.
• 1:05:57
  Speaker A: Yeah, I didn't hate it.
• 1:06:00
  Speaker B: Dude, I ain't gonna lie.
• 1:06:02
Speaker A: It was my daughter's first time movie theater.
• 1:06:05
Speaker B: So yeah, that's the sentiment. Remove. Remove your child. You watching it again with your wife late at night. You watching again with ice cream? Dude, they. Bro, I felt like they brought Woody in so late. I know he's in the movie because I woke up and he was in the movie. But I don't know when they brought him in, I fell asleep. I thought it was boring. I don't even know why all the Buzz Lightyears, dude. When did he come in though, bro?
• 1:06:36
  Speaker A: 20 minutes?
• 1:06:37
Speaker B: 30 I was out. Yeah, I mean that's a third of the movie, bro. The buzz 90 minute movie.
• 1:06:46
Speaker A: Buzz Lightyear things. In the very beginning though, I. Yeah, I didn't understand.
• 1:06:52
Speaker B: I got it. Cartridge conex washed up.
• 1:06:56
Speaker A: Why am I defending this movie?
• 1:07:03
Speaker B: I felt like they like, it was just. I don't know, dude. Their missions just got dumber throughout the years. Yeah. Their first mission of like saving the Nate like your. Your buddies from the neighbor. Yeah. Was like the best one. And then it's. It's just like they lost me at the fucking one with the. The gold mining guy. Yeah, dude, the collector. That was like. Oh, by the Woody doll from. Yeah.
• 1:07:29
Speaker A: The second they lost.
• 1:07:32
Speaker B: That's when they lost me. Yeah.
• 1:07:36
Speaker A: These are like the highest grossing animated films of all time.
• 1:07:42
Speaker B: No, man, it was. I liked when their enemy was a human and not some other toy.
• 1:07:49
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 1:07:51
Speaker B: Like they. They did have engagement with other toys, but the whole thing was like we got to do the. It. It was just something else. All right, so day two. Clear the fog. Get the basics. Stable sleep schedule. One walk or workout. Cut the doom scroll that has helped me so much. I only am allowed to scroll during a shit.
• 1:08:20
  Speaker A: Interesting.
• 1:08:21
Speaker B: If I'm on the toilet, I could. I could scroll. But when I'M done. I'm done. I'm not sitting there like letting the fucking shit dry on my asshole. So I could scroll a little bit more. No, oh, no more in there. We wipe, we put it away. Changes you in a different way, but it fucking, it really kind of frees you up. You don't realize how much free time you have sometimes.
• 1:08:49
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 1:08:50
Speaker B: And until you're like, well I, I'll pull up my phone just like out of habit and I'm like, flop up. And I'm like, only bathroom, dude, only bathroom. And you know, all of a sudden you're like, well what am I going to do to fill this, this dead space? All right, so sleep schedule. We got all that a defeated brain can't job hunt. Well, this day is about proving the routine works, nothing else. So we wake up certain time, we get dressed, we got two 90 minute blocks of, of eithering ourselves through a podcast or master class or some YouTube video, you think? But no political. We're not listening to Carson, what's his name?
• 1:09:45
  Speaker A: Tucker Carlson.
• 1:09:47
Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah, Tucker Carlson. We're not listening to that cool dude that was like Navy Seal, the Ryan, Sean Ryan show. We're not listening to fucking Joe Rogan. We're listening to something that's either. And some of these I just find by, in the search engine of like Spotify where I'm like, what am I focusing on? Oh, some, some of our topics I would just put in the topic and then it gives you like when that topic came up on another podcast or someone who teaches on that topic. But anyhow, find something like that and maybe it's something related to that phrase of I'm a customer expert who could work alongside AI. Maybe that's what you're, you're searching in the pocket or in the Spotify search bar is working along AI. You know, just shorten it. Working alongside AI. They'll have a ton of like guys who either founded those companies and what they're looking for currently in an individual, not as if they're like actively job hunting, but that's, that's the questions he's asking of like, alright, so what are you looking for like in your company, where you're going in your future? And you know, and they'll just talk about, well, you know, we're going in this direction and kind of some of the guys I've mentored have had this kind of personality and I'm really proud of them. And then they'll mention the company that those guys they mentored fucking went off and started. And you're like, oh, I've heard he was mentored by him. Holy shit, dude. Like, you know, it's, it's. But you kind of see some of the characteristics in these people. There's different talents, but discipline beats talent every day. Discipline will beat talent every day. You can have a certain talent, but the discipline behind it. You could be a great guitar player, but if you don't have the discipline to fine tune your strums, your notes, your whole, your whole composed piece of work, if you don't have that discipline, you're just a talented guitar player, but you'll never be great. Discipline beats talent. All right, my bad. I kind of go all over the board.
• 1:12:04
Speaker A: All right. It's good stuff.
• 1:12:07
Speaker B: Day three. Inventory, inventory, his ammo list every skill, every tool and win from his cr CSR days. Resolve tickets, tough customers turned around, systems learned. He probably undervalues all of it. This becomes resume fuel and confidence fuel. I will speak to this. When I thought about when I was telling you earlier and I thought about, oh, being a VP of construction and I brought up kind of like imposter syndrome. The way I overcome my imposter syndrome is thinking about how I've progressed in my construction career and have always had things. I didn't know what I was doing. Being a TI superintendent or hear me out, going from residential to commercial. Had no idea what I was doing, but I did. It went from like laboring in resident in commercial to running Starbucks projects. Scared, scared. Didn't know how to read blueprints, but I was able to do it. Like there's a list of stuff. It's not about me tonight. Those things reassure me. I'm not an imposter. Having a surf park on my resume, a multifamily, a ti, a ground up. That's just to kind of summarize it. I usually guys are one of those forever, they're commercial forever, they're multifamily forever. Maybe they might switch over once or twice, but that's it. I had the ability to do a surf park. I mean like scared as through every start of it. But through every start of it, every time I felt scared, I was able to reflect on the experience that, that came before that moment, before it was a multi family. I was like, I've done a surf park. Okay? Okay. You got this. Like it's all, there's a, there's a system for everything. You just got to figure out what the fucking system is, alright? That builds confidence. So some of your 90 minute blocks maybe for the first four days is I'm not going to look for work. I'm not going to apply to anything until my resume is fine tuned. So your 90 minute blocks is not only getting me your resume but also giving me. You're actually either typing out or writing out. I'd prefer typed in an email. Instances where you engage with the customers outside of ordinary. So not what Pam's doing and Tom's doing. You guys are all just helping them. But this was a specific. There's. Dude, I want to say it's star. Have you heard the star system?
• 1:14:59
Speaker A: Yeah, situations, something Action, Resolution.
• 1:15:08
Speaker B: Yeah, situation. Anyhow, but something like that. Honestly, I'd hope I would ask you to follow that and then maybe just three or four.
• 1:15:20
Speaker A: I've got part of that list of a hundred.
• 1:15:24
Speaker B: I love it. So give me your top 10 to start. Okay, I'm being honest. Like I want the whole scenario. I don't want. Just like once a customer said this and I did this and problem resolved. I want like, hey, like this was. This is what happened. Like she called, she was kind of frantic. Like walk me through it, how you handled it. Resolution, all that shit. I want that. That's your. That could be even thinking of those stories and how you're developing them from whatever you have on your hundred list. You take one, you're like, okay, now I gotta expand on it. That's part of your 90 minute block. One of the two. You know, I mean like you don't have to. You're not looking for work yet. We're gonna fine tune the resume. All right now we're gonna rebuild the story on day four. So to recap real quick, day one, plant the flag. Write it down. You set your goals. So that's what I expect from your first 90 minute tomorrow is writing down your goals. We good on that one? All right, now the ring comes in place when you're, you're gonna, you're gonna do your, your goals, your, your, your, some of your applications. Without the ring. That ring, it's gonna be I, I, if you know your pinky size, I would love to know it.
• 1:16:44
  Speaker A: I don't.
• 1:16:46
Speaker B: Okay? Otherwise you're getting like a, a 10 or an 11. I feel like you got probably about right. Yeah, that goes on. When you go to a job interview, I want you dressed like Jeff Negan. Not Negan. Negan dressed like a badass. But he fit his time, he fit the atmosphere. You know what I mean? Like we're post apocalyptic zombies. Like he fit now that we're in a work atmosphere. Negan in that position is coming in looking the part as well. Sharp dressed, maybe not a suit, maybe, but however sharp dressed. Maybe it isn't a vest. I don't fucking know. I can't pull off a vest. You know, one of those, like, patchy vests that are, like, not necessarily for a suit with, like. I don't know. I can't pull off certain looks. But something that is, like, that's different. That's either sharp. I'm very sharp, very simple. I keep things in order. Sometimes I got it all the way buttoned up. Like, I. I keep it. Keep it nice in front of the clients. I'm very almost robotic in how I'm dressed. Clean boots, pants, fucking clean. You wouldn't know. I just came off a job site. I got a pin. Oh, handkerchief. Like, that's how I roll. You're gonna walk in in your Negan. Maybe you really are attached to vest. Maybe you're attached to one of those fucking, like, newsies boy fucking hats, you know, that. That pinky Blinder wears. I don't know. Maybe you can be the mustache guy and it looks proper like you're. You're proud to say, this is it with its oils and. I don't know. I don't have that kind of mustache. To me, that's not me. More of a cleaner guy. Not saying that's not clean. But beards and mustaches to me, like mine, even when it gets long, to me, I'm like. When there's hairs I can't control because they're not fucking laying down. You got to cut it. You got to. You got to trim it back. You know what I mean? All right. Day one, you plant the flag. Day two, you clear the fog. You get the basics stable. That's the three. Sleep. Get up on time, get dressed. That's what you're doing tomorrow. Getting up at a certain time, getting dressed like you're going somewhere. You're writing down some goals. I'm gonna send you this so that you can have some reference to reflect back on it. You're gonna see that you should have one walk, which I don't think that's a problem for you because as a father, you take your child on a walk all the time. You're gonna get yourself on a sleep schedule. Day three again is inventory his ammo. Your second block is. Your first block, is writing down your goals. I don't know how long it's gonna take you, but if you free up, maybe you did that In a half hour. Cool. Now you're gonna sit down and write down some, like, some skills. And that's gonna be basically your second block, writing down some instances from this 100 list. Then we're going to rebuild the story, rewrite the resume. Plus a LinkedIn headline around the reframe above, not customer service rep, but customer experience specialist. Customer success photo headline, open to work. Draft his answer to what happened with your last job. Honest, forward facing. No apology. Certainty. I love a dude that's like this. What happened? I always try and get ahead of shit. This. Was this where I'm at. You wonder why I've been laid off for three months? Because I got laid off in November. Who's gonna hire somebody right before the Christmas party bonuses? You know what I mean? Like, I'm not, I'm not getting a job, guys, until February, which is what happens every year. When I got laid off, February or March, you know what I'm saying? Let's get ahead of it. You know, they over hired, so they had to lay off a handful of us. I was new, so they laid me off. Hear me? Got ahead of it.
• 1:21:06
Speaker A: My contractor said did.
• 1:21:11
Speaker B: I love that one.
• 1:21:11
  Speaker A: That's true.
• 1:21:12
Speaker B: I love that one. No, yeah. No, no, no. I get what you're saying, but hey, were you contracted through a temp agency or contracted through freelance?
• 1:21:23
Speaker A: I was conscious freelance. Okay,
• 1:21:31
Speaker B: You were contracted through like a temp agency that hires them off, right?
• 1:21:35
Speaker A: No, I was contracted right to the school.
• 1:21:40
  Speaker B: Oh, that's perfect. That's what I'm saying. It's freelance.
• 1:21:43
  Speaker A: Okay.
• 1:21:44
Speaker B: It was through your. It was through yourself and not a temp agency. Like you didn't go somewhere. Because I did that a lot. I'd go somewhere and they'd be like, oh, well, hey, that's when I got laid off. Used to be what I used to do when I didn't have a career path. It was like, hey, I got laid off. And they'd be like, okay, you're gonna go over here and just do data entry for the day. Like, they'll look at your skill set and be like, oh, you could do data entry for a day. Ah, you can watch a door over there for a week sometimes. They'd be like, hey, this is what you're doing. Until they, they need us. They need someone for a year to do data entry. I did that for Pathology Inc. I know nothing about medical, but I could sit and look at an Excel sheet and compare bills and shit. I was like, okay, just take this info from Excel, put in So I thought maybe that's how you got there. You go to attend. Hey. Okay, so you were freelanced. You were contracted directly to the school as your own entity, and your social was your ein. Okay. Day five through six, because that's how we're saying it, no matter if you were a temp agency or not, just so you know. Day five through six, target and fire the first shots. Pick two or three target roll types. Build a list of 15 to 20 target companies, apply to three rolls a day. Quality over spray. You're taking quality over the shotgun effect and just hitting a bunch of companies one day. And. Which is smart. You could research each role. You could put something a little together. Because I do that in my email. I'm attaching my cover letter, I'm attaching my. My resume. But I'm also now gearing just the first, like, intro to myself in my email paragraph. I need them to open those attachments. Sometimes it's hard, you know, because not a lot of people check their emails when it comes from a stranger because of bugs and shit and viruses. So you go through an agency or their website. Either way, you're gearing it towards them. So three a day is perfect. It gives you a minute to look at their websites, set up job alerts so leads come to you. So day five and six, you're looking at three target roles, three companies. Then you're setting up some alerts. Day seven, week one, review. Celebrate loud and on the pod. Count what got done, not what didn't. Applications sent, profile rebuilt, routine held. This is where you prove effort is output, leads to output. I don't think that's bad. I think we follow this. It's good. Again, your dead time is not filled with catching up on the Lost Boys or any great classic 80s or 90s movie. If you got that time, you got the time to go sit out back, watch the kiddo run around and listen to a podcast, get into the word. I'm cool with that. All right. Days eight and nine go warm. So day seven is like a vacation day. Okay, That's Thursday for you. I'm sorry to tell you the good news is matter what day five and it. Yeah. So day one would be your Friday is Friday. Yeah, right. Day one is Friday. Plant the flag. I don't know how you mentally prepare, but you either go Saturday and Sunday is day two and three, or you go Monday, Tuesday is day two and three.
• 1:25:34
Speaker A: I could do Saturday, Monday,
• 1:25:38
Speaker B: Saturday morning. That works. I'll take that. Because Monday is the inventory. The ammo gives you kind of like, all right, Tuesday's day four. Day five is Wednesday, day six is Thursday. So we actually cancel. We get we. And then day seven is,
• 1:25:59
Speaker A: let's consolidate day six and seven.
• 1:26:03
Speaker B: Well, that's what I'm saying about five and six. You can consolidate it. I think picking three roll types, three companies and, and then setting up job alerts is. You could do that in two 90 minute blocks. If you can't, what the fuck are we even trying for, buddy? No, I'm kidding. Your computer skills just suck. No, I think, I think day five and six is actually only one day worth of work though. Yeah, okay. I mean, perfect.
• 1:26:33
Speaker A: As long as that day starts at 9pm Then yes, I can do that.

Speaker B: All right, week two, days eight and nine go warm. Applications are cold. Now he reaches out, messages five old colleagues slash contacts a day. Not got a job for me, but more of. I'm targeting this certain role. Who should I talk to? Warm intros beat the resume black hole every time. Warm intros beat resume black hole every time. Most of the jobs I've gotten were because of somebody who I've worked with in the past. I went and built a surf park because the electricians I worked with were also working for the GC that built the surf park that was building the surf part. They referred me. I got that job. The current job I'm at, I was referred by an inspector. So like, honestly, I think that's a good, good thing. You pick five, you pick some Tony's and some, I don't know, somebody. You know your list of people where they work and you know who you won't talk to either. I doubt you'll send one day. That's no someone. Yeah, but he's not gonna be like, this guy is great.
• 1:28:07
Speaker A: Apparent. I've actually talked to some other people at that company. Apparently he doesn't have anything bad to say about me. So that might have all been.
• 1:28:14
Speaker B: Yeah, but to hold on. Yeah, it might have. But I feel like if he was to co sign on you, I don't think it was all in your head. I don't think he would co sign for someone that he was like, I had such a biblical issue with this kid. You know what I mean? Like he, I think he takes things more politically. He can't separate work and you know what I mean? Yeah, he's like, that's your, that's your biblical stance. You know what I mean? Like, how dare you be different from me? Yeah, our company's all about this. I don't think I. I don't know. Seems cool. I just, I don't like him.
• 1:28:54
  Speaker A: No, I don't either. He's not cool.
• 1:28:56
Speaker B: Yeah. Okay. All right. All right. Days 10 and 11, level up, signal start. One quick credential that shows he's growing a short customer Success or CRM or AI tools course. Many are free a few days each. Even in progress on LinkedIn signals momentum to rec. I'm sorry. Even in progress on LinkedIn signals momentum to recruiters and more importantly to him. So LinkedIn learning has certain classes that, or even in LinkedIn you can actually go and put like, here's some of my skills. And they'll ask you, like, what level? And you can put in progress. You know, here's some of the things that. And you can put in progress showing like you're actually in school for. That doesn't say in progress like on your resume. It just says it under, like certain schools and tasks or achievements. There's LinkedIn learning as well. You can use my account for that as well if you want. That's basically lynda.com I don't know if you remember lynda.com with a Y. LinkedIn learning. Well, Adobe bot Linda then LinkedIn learning bot Linda from Adobe. So a lot of stuff on there. I have a subscription of that. Again, this is like, I'm not satisfied. Even where I'm at, I'm not satisfied, man. Like, that's, that's one thing I really admired about Kobe. He wasn't satisfied, bro. Like, that is so thrilling to me to not be satisfied. Cuz I think I'm a pretty cool dude, but I could be cooler. I like the route I'm going, bro. Like, honestly. And I'm getting to see someone like stretch marks implement. I get to see someone like stretch marks implement the same things. He's doing the master classes doesn't do LinkedIn learning, but he does the master classes and he'll do the podcast. And what he'll do is every month he'll send an email to all his higher ups recapping what he did that month as far as growth. So he'll say, hey, I kept studying the blueprints for such and such. I was listening to this podcast. This is what I gained from it. And it'll just give like a one liner. I was listening to this. I watched this on Masterclass to help develop xyz. And a quote I have from Jason Schrader is, da, da, da, da. Do I read them all the time? No, but I So I don't read them all the time, thoroughly. Because I'll be in the middle of something and I'll see him come in and I'm doing something work related. So I do read them. Maybe it's I don't spend the time, but I read them all. I really do. And I can't say that the owner of our company doesn't read them all. I think he does too. I believe he does too. It reassures him that I got the right guy. I got the right guy. He has a standard. No one's asking him to send these. No one's saying, hey, I want this at the end of the month. I want to know what you've been doing, your free time. What are you watching? He just does it. He's like, hey, this is what I do. Why? Because I want you to know I still care about this company. I care. I might not be seen as much as other people, but I care. So I think that's wise. Level up signal. Okay, that's what we're calling that. Days 10 and 11, level up. We're watching educational. Days 12 and 13. Interview reps. Practice out loud. Nail the AI question turned into a strength. Do a mock interview. You can run it on the podcast. They actually called it the pod. You could run it on the pod. I didn't even say cast. I didn't want you to think I was trying to be cool and be like, you know, like, and I love you, man. Like, oh, yeah, you know, just up to the U.S. keep applying now. Aim higher. Per shoe tire, end quote. Shoot high. If you're shooting high now, you're aiming higher. This is one thing I limit myself on is I've never applied for a VP of construction job. I've always applied for a superintendent project manager in hopes to work my way up there. I've never. So this is kind of a challenge to myself. If I want that other position, I see myself in that position, I'm going to shoot for that. I've shot for general superintendents because I was one, but I never shot for anything higher. All right, here's day 14. So we got the interview reps. Day 14, close the loop, open the next review everything apps sent, contacts made, interviews or replies landed. Skill started. What skill did you start? Celebrate the system, then set the next two week cycle. The point was never to finish. It's. That's how he now has a machine he can run forever. It's that he. It's that he now has a machine he can run forever. That's basically what it is. All right, so says how to be his friend through this. This is the part that makes it stick. Oh, I should have re. I should have addressed this in a different way. Keep it his plan, not yours. Too late. They should have started. They should have put that right after life. They should have put that like at the very beginning when I asked my question. All right, alright. Keep it his plan, not yours. The research on accountability works because he commits publicly in his own words. Have him say the goals out loud on air rather than reading yours in quotes. Direct his life. It really does say that Direct his life lands best as in invitation he co signs, not a script imposed on him.
• 1:35:49
Speaker A: Not. Not threats of ending the podcast. And fucking his wife.
• 1:35:58
Speaker B: I hope it says that. I haven't got. I hope it says that though. But it's like, you know, a good way to get him to do this though is just in this shit. Otherwise day five's setback comes, becomes your plan failing him and he checks out. So otherwise day five's setback becomes me failing you. Alright, Celebrate small and loud. When he sends three applications. Treat it like a win on the podcast. Defeated people need evidence that action produces results and you're the one who can hand him that evidence. One check in a day, same time, a two minute what moved today? Text consistency beats intensity. I like that. What moved today? Watch the weight of the defeat. A rough patch responds to structure and momentum. This plan is built for that. But if what you're seeing is heavier and more persistent real hopelessness that a good week doesn't touch, that's worth a gentle private conversation and maybe a professional in the mix. Separate the podcast energy.
• 1:37:16
Speaker A: Hand him a gun.
• 1:37:19
Speaker B: Yeah, you've got the ingredients for something genuinely good here. Go be loud about this, about his wins. Go be loud about his wins. Want me to draft the actual goal setting worksheet he fills out on day one? Or a punchy version of the kickoff you can read cold on air.
• 1:37:44
Speaker A: I said, claude, you dude, you told it you were gonna read this cold on air that it said, hey, don't tell him. Don't tell him what a loser he is. Make it his idea.
• 1:38:01
Speaker B: Trick him to be like, man, it'd be cool if you would if you wanted to, like, I don't know, come up with a two week plan for your life.
• 1:38:11
Speaker A: I bet you want. I bet you want to know this two week plan. I don't even want to tell you though.
• 1:38:18
Speaker B: So I did read that because I had a question mark and it was the Last thing on this list. So I said yes to both. Yes to both. Please. I always say please. I'm real polite. I know these motherfuckers are gonna take over. I need them. I need them to remember I was real polite, dude. I've told, I've told my. My G. I'm like, hey, G. He said, what's up? Just wanna let you know I'm very appreciative of your assistance.
• 1:38:43
Speaker A: I do thank Chat GBT for stuff. Why am I doing.
• 1:38:48
Speaker B: Sure. So that when this place gets shot up, he comes in the room and he's like, hey, man, thanks for that candy bar. And leaves. You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm talking about?
• 1:39:03
Speaker A: Thanks for the candy.
• 1:39:07
Speaker B: No, no. He lets you live. He tells you don't come in. That's what it is.
• 1:39:13
Speaker A: He thanks him for the.
• 1:39:14
Speaker B: Yeah. All right, so here's the kickoff to read cold. Then the worksheet is below as it has a file he can pull up and fill in live. All right, the kickoff. Read this on air. All right. Okay, so let me ask you. You're yawning. We're going on two hours, about one and a half. You want to keep going and make this the kickoff or do you want to do the kickoff on the next.
• 1:39:39
Speaker A: On the next podcast kickoff meeting, like when we start?
• 1:39:45
Speaker B: Yep. It's up to you because this next part, I'm gonna go through it. Let me look real quick because I haven't read it.
• 1:39:50
Speaker A: I have some logistical questions.
• 1:39:54
Speaker B: Okay. This is actually pretty quick. So we could. We could read this, go through the logisticals. All right, all right. Before we start, I need to say something to you and I need you to actually hear it.
• 1:40:06
Speaker A: Are you reading this?
• 1:40:08
Speaker B: Yeah, but this is what it says. I'm supposed to read code on air.
• 1:40:11
Speaker A: This is to manipulate me into doing this.
• 1:40:14
Speaker B: Yeah. All right. It says, read this, read this on air.
• 1:40:18
  Speaker A: All right.
• 1:40:19
Speaker B: I'm gonna start over, man. Dude, you got me out of character. I feel like a part of this is like when you're. You're addicted to cocaine and like your family comes in, they're like, hey, we need to have intervention. Intervention. That's what this kind of. This kind of gives those intervention vibes. All right, alright, alright, guys, before we start, I need to say something to you and I need you to actually hear it. You've got a list of reasons why this isn't working. The economy, the AI thing, eating up customer service jobs, living back at your parents place. And here's the thing, every one of those reasons is real, man. It's real. I'm not going to sit here and pretend they're not. But real reasons and the truth aren't the same thing. The truth is you're a guy who spent years getting yelled at by strangers and turning them around. You learned every system they threw at you. You stayed calm when everyone else lost it. That's a customer service rep. That's a skill set companies are desperate for. They just call it different names that pay more. And the AI thing, everybody's scared of being replaced by it. You're one of the few people who actually knows how to work alongside it. That's not a weakness, dude. That's. That's the edge. That's your edge. So here's the deal. Here's. Sorry. There was like, something loud outside. Fuck. Do my whole character, man. See, Denzel wouldn't have thrown character. He would have worked through it and with it. He would have been like, I'm trying to do something here. All right, so here's the deal. We're not fixing your whole life today. We're not landing you a job in two weeks. Anybody who promises that is lying to you. What we're doing is proving one thing, that when you run a real system, stuff moves. Two weeks. And by the end, you will never again believe the story that nothing you do matters. I wrote the whole plan. Sorry. I wrote the whole plan out, but it's not mine. It's yours. So we're going to do this live. You're going to say your goal out loud right now on this podcast where you can't take it back. Because that's how this works. You commit in front of people. A friend holds you to it, and you check in every week. Fuck. We're gonna do a two minute touch up every day. That was ad lib. That's not a gimmick. That's literally what the research says makes people actually follow through. So I'm gonna ask you one question. I want the loud version, bro, not the safe version. If you weren't allowed to limit yourself, what's the job you would actually want to land? If you weren't allowed to limit yourself, what's the job you'd actually land?
• 1:43:40
  Speaker A: I'd start a business.
• 1:43:41
Speaker B: Oh, miss, would you? Beautiful. That's where you're at. There's nothing stopping you right now. You're really. Whether you stay where you're at or you start a business, you will end up at the same spot, in a safe spot at home with your parents, where you can reevaluate and shoot for something high again. That's it. There's no. Like, when I was young, I would go up and talk to girls and ask them out all the time. People would be like, dude, you're so fucking courageous. Like, you. You like balls? I'm like, what's she gonna do? Say, no, I'm not being perverted. They're not gonna slap me, kick me, punch me, shoot me, stab me. They're going to say, no. They have a boyfriend. Say, no, that uninterested. But I guarantee you they're gonna know I was different because nobody else wanted to fucking do it. Even as a little boy, I was just like, none of you guys fucking stepped up to bat. She's gonna know. I came to bat today. I might fail. I failed a lot. There were a lot of girls that, believe it or not, dude, I'm not gonna lie. I was a cute fucking kid. But a lot of chicks, I think I'm so warm and welcoming. I kind of just like. They feel like they're my sister, you know? Like, I give that. So many chicks told me, like, I was a brother to them, you know what I mean? Yeah. Fucking bitches. You know what I mean, Dude, I'd go. I was swinging, dude. You know what I mean? Like, they were out of my league. And I'd walk up. I remember I was walking up to Megan Cook one day. You keep that name in. Oh. She hears this, and I walk. And I was like, hey. Like, she was always so friendly to me. Like, she was just a friendly person. Beautiful. And I was like, you want to be my girlfriend? You want to go on a date? She was like, oh, my gosh, I. I love you. You're like a brother to me. Like, genuinely. I look at you like a brother. And I was like, oh, great. I'm a fucking friend zone. You know what I mean? But I threw it out there, bro. I rolled the dice. Maybe the other big dogs on the field, the football players were rolling the dice, too, and they got it. But I wasn't a nerd. That was fucking not throwing the dice. You know what I'm saying? I was rolling them. I was just out of my league. All right, so you're gonna start a business. That's the goal. We're starting a business. Not we're. I was just saying that for you and Niek. So now the worksheet. Create a file, read a file. That's both pieces ready to go live. A couple of quick tips for running it on air. Read the kickoff at his pace, not yours. Pause after shoot high, and actually let the silence sit until he fills it. Whoo. I almost didn't do that. I was like, bro, you're like, start a business. I was like, there's a lot of silence. There's a lot of dead air. You gotta feel like that's a silence. I should have read this from the bottom to the top.
• 1:46:52
Speaker A: They really didn't format this well for you?
• 1:46:57
Speaker B: All right, this silence, that silence is where the commitment happens. And when he answers the big question, don't correct it or make it more realistic. Whatever he says, write it down and move it to the worksheet. The realism gets sorted in week two, Day one is about him saying the loud thing out loud. If he freezes on the salary or the date, that's normal. Have him guess and remind him it's a direction, not a contract. Go have a great show. Come back after and I could build the seven day review script or the next two week cycle. Whenever you're ready. Yeah, Bam, bro, bam. You have it right there. And then I got the worksheet. I'll forward this to you at the end of the show. I'm going to briefly run through, before we get into your schematic, your logistics. Okay. It's called a two week reset. Just goes through what we discussed. The flag gives you a brief description. The salary I'd wanted to pay, has a couple other questions.
• 1:48:10
  Speaker A: The date.
• 1:48:11
Speaker B: I'm aiming to have it, an offer by again, the reframe, the three week two goal thing. Daily spying. You sign it. The accountability deal, you sign it and then we post that on our website for our viewers to go and look at, you know, for our, for our fan base to go and look at. And they get, they get to go to the website. Check it out. If you guys want that website, it is www.audimonyms.gov
• 1:48:49
  Speaker A: TV.
• 1:48:53
Speaker B: Yeah. So, yeah, TV. There you go. Yeah. So I'll forward you this. Maybe this is your first 90 minute block. You've. You've accomplished the first thing which was set the goal. You've already set the goal. So we did.
• 1:49:05
  Speaker A: We.
• 1:49:05
Speaker B: That. That was not even a 90 minute block. I was thinking it was going to be a 90 minute block. So now, perfect, we got to restructure this. You spend your next day on this. Over the weekend. I'm going to redirect this instead of. Because now we're not looking for a position now we're looking to start something. So actually that's perfect because I can't do what I got to do until you give me some ideas. Now, we're not working on a list of star situations. We're working on a list of what talents and schooling and education and all that do you have. And passions. Passions. Probably the biggest one is passion. How do we start structuring that to be successful? By your actions. Like, I don't want. I'm not looking for this thing to build first. You want to go down to the mall and do an LLC or to the newspaper, the courthouse, you're gonna want to do all that, but we want to kind of see what you want to do first. Are you going to be contracting? Are you going to open a schooling? Are you going to, like, go to people's houses? What is this? You know, is it mobile? Is it. Are you. Are you going targeting certain clients? You know, and then, honestly, I want to dive deeper. And. What does that look like? What. What does that look like physically? What am I expecting to see? I want you refined and intentional. I don't want you going in with
• 1:50:51
  Speaker A: this.
• 1:50:51
Speaker B: Sounds very demanding. This is very harsh. But, like, you have to build confidence, not questions. Does that make sense?
• 1:51:03
  Speaker A: Yes.
• 1:51:05
Speaker B: When I see you, I shouldn't have a question because you're wearing something fucking.
• 1:51:09
  Speaker A: That's weird.
• 1:51:11
Speaker B: I should. I should have confidence in, like, wow, that dude's got some fucking style. If you're gonna wear something weird, it has to fucking go with what you're doing. Like, your look, not what you're doing as a profession. Your look. You know what I mean? Don't throw them off with some. And I'm being exaggerating. One of those fucking claw rings, you know, maybe, you know, like, little bracelet to the back. It's dramatic. You'd be. I'm telling you, the stash. If you're keeping it.
• 1:51:41
Speaker A: We're doing the bald and not have facial hair.
• 1:51:44
Speaker B: No. You remember that dude at church that he curled him up.
• 1:51:50
Speaker A: That's kind of douchey.
• 1:51:51
Speaker B: You don't have to curl them up. It is. You don't have to. But I'm expecting something that's a. It's a statement. I want a statement piece, is what I'm saying. All right, Up. If you. If you need some help finding. I want you to find one of the best mustache barbers there are to clean to. Just get you ready. I think that's day three. I think that's something you want to say, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I know you are. I know you were. I'm saying you're Going to. You want to do it? What are you going to do?
• 1:52:26
Speaker A: I just haven't trimmed it in a long time.
• 1:52:28
  Speaker B: I'll.
• 1:52:28
Speaker A: I'll trim it and get some wax. I have some wax, actually. I'll wax it up.
• 1:52:33
Speaker B: You. You. You confident and comfortable in how it looks when you do that. All right, Perfect. There you are. That happens. That happens the next couple days.
• 1:52:43
Speaker A: I may have over promised with the wax, but I'll make sure I get some. If I don't have it, I may have. I may have put myself out there a little too soon.
• 1:52:53
  Speaker B: No, you didn't. You didn't.
• 1:52:54
Speaker A: I think I have it right.
• 1:52:55
Speaker B: You sent me. You send me the ins. You send me the. The Amazon for the wax. You share the link with me. I'm gonna find a ring. We're gonna. We're gonna prime these. Now that you're starting a business, you need the ring, you know, I'm saying, like, that's what's going on tomorrow, where you're like, Jeff Negan starting a business. You know?
• 1:53:18
Speaker A: I mean, no, I feel you.
• 1:53:20
Speaker B: Negan's Negan. Negan and Childs. You know what I'm saying? That's. That's the company. Negan and Childs, however, whatever your company name is. But you are Negan, and you're starting a company, and we're gonna have a plan for it, and there is no. I can't do it. All right? Now, your logistical questions, where to start?
• 1:53:44
Speaker A: See, I'm kind of on a whole new trail now because of the goal that we set.
• 1:53:49
Speaker B: So first, come on, Jasmine. You just got changed to Jasmine. I, I. I am what? I'm Prince Eric. I'm about to show you.
• 1:54:03
Speaker A: I will say I'm a lot more jazzed about this than getting an IT job again. So I'm glad. I'm glad that it went this direction.
• 1:54:17
Speaker B: Do you. Do you know what business you want to start?
• 1:54:19
  Speaker A: See, that's. That's. That's the thing is.
• 1:54:22
  Speaker B: Okay, good.
• 1:54:26
Speaker A: I was following this guy on Instagram who makes his own notebooks. And he, like, really takes the time with the leather he uses and the paper he finds and the binding and all ender. The coolest fucking notebooks. And I was like, I can do that. So I went on ChatGPT, and I just talked to ChatGPT for 45 minutes. One could argue a waste of time. And I just. I learned everything that I would ever need to know about binding a really, really nice notebook. And I was like, okay, here's what I'm gonna Do. I'm gonna experiment. I found like, how to get like the high quality stuff at a good price. I'm gonna, I'm gonna make a few. If I like it, I'm going to make one for Ryan Adams and I'm just going to send it to him
• 1:55:14
Speaker B: and if he like, oh, that would be so.
• 1:55:16
Speaker A: And if he likes it, I've got a customer for life. I'll send it to. I'll send it to all these people that I know would use a really nice notebook. And then, and then there you go. I've. If you want to come back for 30 bucks, I've got. I got another nice notebook for you.
• 1:55:34
Speaker B: You know, you gotta let me just say this because I'm gonna forget and I think this is a great. This is something you need on this notebook. This guy probably has a leather spine on the notebook on that spine. Is there any other type of leather? Because I'm imagining it to be a leather that's kind of rough, it's kind of furry, maybe like, I don't know, but maybe it's smooth. I don't give a shit. Is there a place designated on that spine that I can write summer of 92, job site of 26 the. Is there somewhere on that spine where when I stack them all up, I can walk up and I'm not going through 10 fucking journals to find the one that related to that that year.
• 1:56:22
  Speaker A: Good point.
• 1:56:23
Speaker B: 20, 26, yes. Okay, keep going. Now, I'm sorry.
• 1:56:26
Speaker A: Well, all that to say is that that was just the most recent idea that I said, ah, you know, I could do that out of the garage. I could make some side money with that. I could. And then I even thought, like, maybe, maybe it becomes popular enough where I got to hire someone on to help me make them. Maybe then, you know, if that snowballs into another thing. So I have an idea like that probably every two weeks and I don't circle back to them. But I think I could go through some of my journals, some of my ChatGPT, and probably find four or five business ideas I've had this year that I could actually take steps toward doing. Hold on. I gotta change my headphone. It's dying.
• 1:57:12
Speaker B: All right, while you do that, I'm gonna say block one and two are your research draw journals.
• 1:57:17
Speaker A: Okay, so then I'm gonna skip the qu. I was gonna ask, like, I'm. I'm gonna have to break up these blocks of time because I don't have an hour and a half to myself all day long until probably 10 o'. Clock.
• 1:57:40
Speaker B: Your little one doesn't nap. No, I mean my kids nap till they were four.
• 1:57:43
Speaker A: No, I, we're doing quiet time now, which is like, ideally she'll fall asleep, but I give it an hour and she never falls asleep.
• 1:57:53
Speaker B: What do you, what do you do in that quiet time with her?
• 1:57:56
Speaker A: I'm sitting in there with her, trying to keep her from running out of the room.
• 1:58:02
Speaker B: Okay, so here's a, here's a thought. You sit in front of the door with a pad and paper. She can do what she's gonna do.
• 1:58:11
Speaker A: I can listen to a podcast.
• 1:58:13
Speaker B: Perfect. There you go. Now we're making the most use of our time. Making the use of, best use of our time. Well, here's the thing. What time does she wake up?

  Speaker A: Between 5:30 and 7:30.
• 1:58:27
Speaker B: Perfect. I get up at 3:30 every morning. It's very doable. If you go to bed at 8:30 on these nights, it's a little rough, but what I do is I drink a cup of coffee before bed. On these nights I still get up at 3:30. So maybe you shoot for 3:30. I know that's kind of early and you don't want to get dressed. That's the weird part because you want to start your day but you can't because no one else is up and you're kind of creeping around. So maybe that doesn't work. You get up with her. Well, how's your day look? The fuck the 3:30 thing, that's too early. That's, that's shooting real large.
• 1:59:02
Speaker A: We get up, we have a snack, a protein snack for breakfast. I let her watch a little bit of TV while I read my Bible. And then usually by then it's either we go play in the backyard for a little bit or it's time for lunch. We have lunch and then we do nap. Quiet time. Unless we have like a gym class or something. And then I try to take her somewhere fun like, like the play place.
• 1:59:35
Speaker B: Are you playing with her at the play place?
• 1:59:37
Speaker A: Yeah, I've got a follower around the whole place.
• 1:59:41
  Speaker B: Yeah.
• 1:59:43
Speaker A: Okay, then my wife either works mornings and gets home at like 3 or she works like 12 to 8. If she works the 12 to 8, then I've got to do the whole dinner, bedtime, bath, all that stuff. And then she's usually asleep around 8:30, sometimes 9.
• 2:00:04
Speaker B: And then I'm gonna stop you, I'm gonna, I'm gonna ask some questions to kind of get some more understanding. You've brought up some movies you've sent me Some podcasts. When are you having time for. For those things?
• 2:00:21
  Speaker A: I don't watch movies.
• 2:00:23
Speaker B: Now. You brought up a show you said I watched. I wanted to my mom to watch a show with me. I've watched it three times. This whole show. Right?
• 2:00:30
Speaker A: Yeah, we watched that at night after I put the baby to bed.
• 2:00:34
Speaker B: Okay, that's the time you're. You're now filling in. That's. That's got to be the time.
• 2:00:38
Speaker A: Yeah, I've. I've been. Actually, that was the last time I watched anything a couple weeks ago. I've. I've been mixing my album with my free time.
• 2:00:50
Speaker B: Yeah. Now you're filling your free time with. With this shit for two weeks. That's all I need. You go back to your album shit and, And. And whatever you want, but I think in two weeks you're gonna change your mind. I like your music. I don't think that's. I don't think that's where you're landing, though. Like, I think your music can get there, but it's currently not the thing that's gonna sustain your family.
• 2:01:15
  Speaker A: No.
• 2:01:16
Speaker B: So right now, I think you starting a company and utilizing your mind in your hands, because I think you have a passion to use your hands. I think you always have because you've asked me about construction stuff and you like the idea of building things and making things. So I think you using your hands is going to fulfill a need. It's going to make you feel really good about yourself. It's going to build confidence. I think utilizing your mind in how to make something better or create a quality product is also going to give satisfaction to you. So what other logistic questions do we have?
• 2:01:54
Speaker A: Well, now that we're kind of on this path, it's not so much a concern, but if I. If I got a job, I couldn't do anything with my. Like, I wouldn't know what to do with my daughter.
• 2:02:07
Speaker B: Yeah, I don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon, buddy. Oh, if you start a company.
• 2:02:12
Speaker A: No, no, I'm not. I'm not worried about that. I'm just saying, like, if the goal is to get a job, well, I don't have a plan for my daughter if that actually happened.
• 2:02:22
Speaker B: So, I mean, have you. I think part of this is, you know, I don't know how you and your wife's relationship is. I don't know if you sharing this with her is her holding you accountable. I don't know if you sharing this with her is her holding it over your head or as ammo against you when, when maybe it could be, it could stunt your growth. There's a potential. I'm not saying there's not. I'm saying there's a potential. I personally would rather have you walk in this and have her see the difference than you tell her and have an expectation from her. That being said, I think there has come a point where you, after the two week mark, you and her have a sit down about your momentum and your future. Is she going to pursue a career with this coffee company or is she okay if you start something or land something that makes more for her to stay home.
• 2:03:23
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 2:03:24
Speaker B: Or for her to go part time.
• 2:03:26
Speaker A: I've asked about that. She's pretty miserable in her job currently and I've told her like, just quit and I'll go get a job. Like I'll just start like really?
• 2:03:36
Speaker B: You know, you don't have that luxury. Yeah, but you don't have that luxury. Right?
• 2:03:40
Speaker A: I mean, do we not?
• 2:03:42
Speaker B: Yes, you do and you don't. But you don't have the luxury in the sense that you're putting a burden on her of living with her in laws and not having income.
• 2:03:50
  Speaker A: Sure.
• 2:03:51
Speaker B: That like, although you don't feel it because your parents are like welcoming, no matter how welcoming they are to her, she's still gonna be like, I'm kind of freeloading off of people that aren't. They're not my parents parents, you know, I mean, like there's not that unconditional love between me and them. It's between him and them. You know, it's like tonight, number three, we. My lease is up in December and number three and I and her boyfriend had all talked like, hey, about a month ago, hey, what are we gonna do after the lease is up? And it was. Some ideas were thrown around. So just think on it. I don't need an answer for a little bit. Then the letter came. Hey, lease is up. We need 60 day notice, 90 day notice or whatever. So I'm sitting talking with them about like, what are your options? You know, and they chose. What were we just talking about? Because this goes somewhere with what we're talking about
• 2:04:57
Speaker A: my wife and I talking about her quitting and me getting a job.
• 2:05:01
Speaker B: Okay. So they chose to. She number three, don't want to live with. With a step parent. So she was like, hey, look, I don't know what to do, but I want you to go ahead and like do your thing. And so they chose to like downgrade. I said, oh, that's what I was saying. I told them, I said, hey, look, I am willing to stay here because I owe you the same thing I. I gave to Jay. I gave to all everybody else in this household. You live rent free as long as you're in school part time and work full time, or you're a part time worker in school full time. She's full time. Both. So I'm like, I owe it to you. And I looked at her boyfriend because he kind of lives here, and I said, I don't owe you anything. Just so you're aware. And the only reason I would get a two bedroom with you guys and I wouldn't be there ever. But it's my room. Don't fuck with it. I laid out how I want it laid out. I said, I'll pay a portion of the rent, but that's my room. But my daughter pays nothing. She doesn't want to move in with me in Miami, but I still owe it to her to make sure she lives rent free so that she can save for what her goals are. All that to say your parents don't owe her anything. They owe it to you. They're your parents. They're not hers. You know, and with her past experience, which I don't know anything about, that could be a part of what her thought process is. However it is here, that could be a negative or positive. However, I don't think she wants to put herself in that situation. So until you have something, you can't really be like, hey, just quit and I'll hit the pavement harder. You should be hitting the pavement now so that she could just quit. And I know it's gonna be hard. That's where you do.
• 2:07:10
Speaker A: This conversation was a precursor to that because obviously one of us has to be with the kids. So I, like, let me start putting in applications. We can start moving toward me working you. Not even if we have to take. Take a pay cut at, like, I want to work and you don't. So, like, why the are we doing this? You know? And. And she was like, well, I have to at least see through this year because I just got trained for assistant manager. I just moved up to a new store. All these resources have gone into getting me to this place. I can't just drop.
• 2:07:47
  Speaker B: She feels obligated.
• 2:07:48
Speaker A: And yeah, she feels obligated. So perfect. She's not.
• 2:07:53
Speaker B: And that's fine. That's great, because right now you're rebuilding. Yeah, it's a great opportunity. God works in great ways. You're rebuilding. You might not be mostly rebuilt until three Four months. Five months. And who knows? There might be a period where you get an offer and you're like, babe, I gotta take it. And she's like, well, I gotta stay here for another two months. You have to rely on your parents, and you say, hey, Ma, Dad. Or you rely on a friend that you trust raising your child, you know, that won't hit him. There's no threats of anybody in the house hitting the child. You know, you can say, hey, I'll. I had to do that. Hey, I'll give you a hundred bucks a week. Give you 400amonth. I could afford 100 bucks a week, you know, 200 paycheck. Just watch my little girl after school. She goes to school. I'll pay for the treats. You got kids. You're home. You know, she'd be down here anyways playing with you guys if I was home. So here's some money for the food she eats. You cool with that? I'm trying to get on my feet. Yeah, totally cool with it. They already got kids. You know, it's. It's just seeing the obstacle and saying, how do I get around it? What are some goals? Somebody came to me today and they said, hey, you know, my guy can't do this, and he ain't gonna work right there in the mud. And I said, jaime, stop for a second. I said, I'm in the business of trying to find a way to get it accomplished. I'm not in the business of trying to find a way of why I can't do it. I'm in the business of trying to find ways I can do it. And, like, stretch marks are there. And he laughed. He was like, oh, no. I was like, no, I'm being serious, though. My role is to find a way to get it done. You keep coming to me with ways of why we can't do things. Someone's in the way. It's too wet. Come to me with ways of why, how we're gonna get it done. Sure. State the problem. It's too wet. How are we gonna get it done? Don't come say, we can't do it. It's too wet. Say, hey, it's wet. This is what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna probably go work over here for a minute. Or can we get a fan? What the ever? I don't know, but come up with something. Hey, while it's drying, I'm gonna clean.
• 2:10:14
  Speaker A: Cool.
• 2:10:15
Speaker B: I don't give a. Come up with something that betters this. Everybody around us. Yeah, but that Starts with me as well. So.
• 2:10:25
Speaker A: Yeah. So when we were kind of on the employment path, I was concerned because no matter what happens with my employment, she's not budging. And that wasn't going to work with. With the kid. But on our new path, I think that's very doable.
• 2:10:41
Speaker B: Very doable. And. Yeah, and you can ask your mom to help out while you try and rebuild to buy you some time. And you're still there, so it's not like you have to worry about, like, them telling her no in a strong way. You know what I mean? Like, don't get me wrong, when Miami's not around, I put hands on her cat for being on the counter when she around, I just yell at the cat. You know what I'm saying? I love on it, but I only yell at it. But when she ain't around, I smack his little ass. Get the off that countertop. You know what I'm saying? That's the one I eat on. I broke a glass tonight. I had to go feed her dogs because she was at the hospital with her dad. Come around the corner, cat's just kicking it on the counter, and he thought I was cool with it. I made him sound like I was cool with it. Talk about two steps. I said, motherfucking Michael. And he turned around, swatted his ass, and he jolted around a box and knocked off her candle and broke it. And then she's like, hey, how are the dogs? I was like, dogs are good. But the cat is all text. But the cat was on the counter when I yelled. It broke a candle because it's. I startled it and tell her I swatted it. So you don't know. You don't know if your parents are like, man, I love that little angel. And then when you're gone, I like, come here, little fucker. You know, if you were my kid, you know, I'm saying, like, anyhow, all I'm saying is you're there, so you kind of can be in earshot but still have focus. But you're gonna need to sit down with the family, basically your mom and your dad, and be like, hey, look, I'm. I'm like. And this is great accountability, too. Hey, guys, I set a goal tonight live on the podcast. I'm giving. I'm. I'm giving. What's my name again? Adam. Ryan. I'm giving. Giving Ryan Adams to my two weeks to direct it. We came up with a goal. I'm just asking for you guys to, like, to support me. You. You've Supported me so much already. But, like, some of the stuff I'm gonna do needs an hour. We can start with an hour. You don't need 90 minute blocks. Two hours of my day. And they got to be kind of during the morning time. That's gonna set the rest of your day. You can't have it at 4pm, bro. Can't be like, all right, guys, I'll be back. And Clark Kent comes out of Superman. You're expected. No, no, no. The day's already gone. You're gonna get up at a certain time. You're gonna do your things with your daughter. If your mom's up when cartoons come on, maybe that's the time you guys transition. You transition from right after you read your Bible. Your mom's got control over. If your mom wants to let her watch cartoons for another hour, it's on your mom. That's not hurting her. If your mom wants to take her out back, whatever. Now you got an hour where you're gonna put it on your block. It's my block. Boom. You're already dressed, by the way, before you put her in front of the tv, you went and got dressed. If you're a shower in the morning kind of guy, you shower. If you're just a. Hey, I like to get up and put on an outfit. You're in an outfit that you feel confident in. You know, we don't need to do suit, but we can do T shirt and shorts. Okay. And honestly, I think your first day, you should trim that up. You should do everything that you're gonna do. Get it looking proper. You're a new man tomorrow. Trim up your mustache. Maybe that's your first 90 minute block. You get up and you get dressed. That's the easy part. You do that right away. Put her in front of the couch, read your Bible. When your mom comes up and you're, you know, you already had, you say, hey, mom, this is it. She wakes up more. She's making her coffee. Hey, what's up, bugaboo? And you're like, hey, mom, check it out. Last night, da, da, da, da. Would you mind? This is my. This is what I was thinking at this time, when she's watching cartoons, we would swap. I have some things I got to do this morning to kind of get me in the right projection. Are you cool with that? And then like going forward and that, we would do this for two weeks and then another hour, you know, at her nap time. At her nap time, you're holding her or whatever. I don't care, but we transition at that time. Yeah, maybe you do it right after the nap time so you can listen to the podcast during the nap time. Then your mom kind of takes over when she wakes up, and you get another free hour to focus on what you got to do. Your first hour tomorrow that you get that free block. You go trim up, you get the new man awake. When you walk by those mirrors in the restroom, you go piss, you're like, there he is. There he is. You know, you're. That's him. You're seeing him. That's your. That's your. What is it? Your token. Remember your fucking. Your totem. That's your totem. That's part of it. The other part of it is when you're looking down as you write and you see that ring on your finger, I think I'm a. I'm going to give you a 10 or 11. So go on. Some of the top ones as you write, you see it. Boom. That's your other totem. It's gonna be the reminder when you want to sway, you're gonna see your hand. When you can't see the mirror, you're gonna see your hand. You see your face in the mirror. When you go to the restroom, you can see your hand. When you grab your little pecker to go pee, you're gonna be like, those are my totems. And watch. It's gonna get hard right in your hand as you see that ring. You're gonna be like, jeff Negan pisses with a hard on. You know what I'm saying? I kind of want to hold your fucking pecker when you pee now.
• 2:16:27
Speaker A: Jeff Negan pisses with a heart.
• 2:16:31
Speaker B: I kind of want to hold your little pecker when you pee now. Just. Just to watch it get hard in my hand. You don't have any peanut butter Ms. Over there, do you? All right, so for me or for
• 2:16:44
Speaker A: you, I don't know who should be eating them.
• 2:16:49
Speaker B: So we were in this Bible study, and I don't know these people because I don't go to church with them. And I'm like, yeah, so, you know, like, because we're talking about shame. And I was like, here's the thing. Like, people think it's weird that I talk about being molested at a young age. Like, that. I'm so open with it. I said, but here's the thing. Like, it doesn't have power over me. Like, and hopefully it helps somebody else deal with theirs who don't. Who don't speak about theirs. And they hear me and they're like, fuck. This dude's actually like kind of comfortable with it. Like he knows it's not his fault. Like he's really. And I said, you know, I'm like, he used to give me. I said, I said that's why stretch, bark, bite me, peanut butter M&M's. Because that's what the guy used to give me. He was like, dude, yeah, cuz he's in the group, you know. But that's surely why he buys me Peanut Butter MMs. You'll send me a picture. Be like, you feeling, you feeling flirty or you feeling frisky or come here little boy, you know. All right. All right, man. So we got your goal. I'll check in with you tomorrow on the, the setup. We got you a ring and do you need wax?
• 2:18:09
Speaker A: I. I believe I have some in my cabinet, but I'll check and if I don't, I'll get some.
• 2:18:14
Speaker B: Alright, so I think you should do. Your first block is your beard. You're gonna talk to your mom. Your first block is your mustache. I'm sorry, your mustache. I think your second block is after you. Well, your second block is finding your five ideas, your five businesses. And I think your third block is once we decide on that business at the beginning of your third block, we start to do R and D on it. What's out there, how do we improve it and what sets us apart. Now when I say us, I'm not planning to be a part of this business. I'm us as you got it. Yeah, I'm excited.
• 2:18:58
Speaker A: Me too. I like it. Cuz I always get these ideas. But you know, point A to Z is just. Yeah. How would I ever, you know?
• 2:19:12
Speaker B: Well, you don't. That's why the accountability is so important. That's why you need to be straight up with your family. Not when your wife's around and let them know. You don't want your wife knowing. You want her to see the results. That is part of your. What's a. What is this? Scholar? Was it scholaristic?
• 2:19:37
  Speaker A: Scholastic?
• 2:19:39
Speaker B: Scholastic, that's the word. What's a scholastic word for grade or test? Because that's what your wife is playing. She's playing that final exam. If she doesn't see a change in two weeks, I need to rethink and hit another two weeks because she should honestly see a change in you. It's going to change your, your confidence around the house. It's going to change how you view yourself, how you talk about yourself, how you present Yourself. Things are attractive to a woman and things are really unattractive to a woman. Repelling to a woman. And lack of confidence is one of those things that repels a woman. You could be a chubby chick if you got some confidence. There's a good chance we're fucking tonight, you know? Okay, I'll.
• 2:20:31
Speaker A: I'll eat the peanut M and M. I think that comment sealed it,
• 2:20:40
Speaker B: but for reals, dude.
• 2:20:41
Speaker A: Well, I, I know we're out of time, but I was gonna circle back on the album I'm working on and.
• 2:20:53
Speaker B: Is this gonna give you up?
• 2:20:55
  Speaker A: What?
• 2:20:56
Speaker B: Okay, I thought you were gonna like, promote.
• 2:20:58
Speaker A: It's. I. I was gonna start a twelve hundred dollar Kickstarter for it, so I. You gave me the option of maybe starting next week, but I think I can do both. I think as of today, the, the record's probably done. So now I'm just gonna be creating the Kickstarter and just posting about it. So I don't think that's gonna take up much of my time, but it is.
• 2:21:30
Speaker B: Okay, but here's the thing. I'm not against that. I'm not against that. But do you see how you, you automatically had time for that before this podcast? You were like, hey, I was gonna start. You had time to roll out with what, what, what you wanted, but again, it was like, when it was coming to that, you're like, ah, man, the timing. I ain't got the, the kid and stuff, you know, I don't have a lot of time.
• 2:21:59
Speaker A: All I said was I don't have an, an uninterrupted 90 minutes in my day. I, I do this work all day long. Interrupted constantly.
• 2:22:09
Speaker B: I get that you're going to need your family's help on these 90 minute blocks. I'd like you to shoot for 90, but let's settle for an hour. All right, I did. Just. And just let them know it's two weeks. Please help me, keep me accountable. And don't tell my lady because she is the ultimate. Damn, dude. There's a word for it. She's the ultimate, like, tail, like, tattoo. Like, she's the ultimate telltale. If it worked. No, man. She's the ultimate, like almost litmus. That's it. She's the ultimate litmus test. That's it. She's the ultimate litmus test. Like, she is the one when she makes a comment that something is different, but, like, I don't know what it is. I can't put my thumb on it. I'm headed in the right direction and and we can evaluate then on where we go from here, like, as a clan, you know, if you guys are like, hey, I'm not good for another two weeks. I'll find another way to make this work. But if you guys are like, yep, we see it too. We're willing to go another two weeks. It'll pay off. I promise. It'll pay off. All right. I think we should beat off together on camera. You get a job. I got a job.
• 2:23:34
Speaker A: This has been pseudonyms everywhere.
• 2:23:41
Speaker B: I love you, bro.
• 2:23:42
Speaker A: Nothing gets my dick hard like helping my friends.
• 2:23:49
  Speaker B: Serious. All right.
• 2:23:51
  Speaker A: I like it.
• 2:23:52
  Speaker B: Love you, bro.
• 2:23:53
Speaker A: Thank you for doing all this.
• 2:23:55
Speaker B: Ah, dude, I'm excited, Dude, I'm excited. I want to see. I want to see the out goal. I want to see the outcome. The end goal. That's what the out goal was. I want to see it, dude. Like, this is an experiment for me too. Like, I want to see if there's something real here to take in people who have a lot of potential and a. And my. I don't have any fucking degrees, and that's what limits the book. I'm fucking nobody that. I just like to think things through and look at how my life experiences have happened for someone like myself. I think I can't reach everybody. I think there's a niche I could reach, though, you know?
• 2:24:33
  Speaker A: Yeah.
• 2:24:34
Speaker B: Potential. Guys with potential that limit themselves, you know?
• 2:24:38
  Speaker A: There you go.
• 2:24:39
Speaker B: All right, guy. Love you, brother.
• 2:24:41
Speaker A: All right. Love you, man. This has been pseudonyms.
• 2:24:44
  Speaker B: Everyone.
